Burmese restaurant
Restaurant
Rangoon Tea House Golden Valley is a serene spot to enjoy a local breakfast in Yangon, open from 8 am daily. The menu offers classic Burmese dishes and a delightful seasonal fruit plate with various fruits, along with local yogurt and honey. This tea house serves 16 types of Burmese tea and inventive Burmese-inspired cocktails.
Rangoon Tea House in Yangon is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a high-quality restaurant to try Burmese cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious, served in a beautiful and stylish setting. In addition to Burmese dishes, the menu also offers Chinese and other international options, along with a great selection of cocktails. Everything I tried here was exceptional, both food and drinks. The service was a bit slow, but the overall experience was still fantastic. I can wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone visiting Yangon!
Tibor — Google review
5 stars Absolutely loved my experience at Rangoon Tea House! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, with a great mix of modern and traditional Burmese style. The food was delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with care. I especially enjoyed the tea selection and the thoughtful presentation of every dish. Service was friendly and professional throughout. One of the best places to eat in Yangon — highly recommended! There is also a smoking section by the outside table eating area.
Sarah M — Google review
A nice place for all day dinings. Variety of food from Chinese dim sum, Burmese food, and international breakfast. They are famous for tea and tea leaves. Cheesecake is also recommended.
Nuch S — Google review
Probably the best Burmese food restaurant you’ll have in downtown Yangon. They also have Indian cuisine-influenced food including bacon & cheese samosa, which I can’t get enough of, and chicken biryani. I also had crispy pork bowl and it was divine. Finished the entire bowl! Spent ~90k mmk on my meal but that was definitely for sharing! I wasnt able to finish the biryani. Preferably, you visit this place with family or friends and enjoy the food because the portions are definitely for sharing. :)
Janno — Google review
This is a fusion-style restaurant offering a mix of Burmese local dishes, Indian cuisine, and items similar to Cantonese-style tea house fare. They play traditional Burmese music in the background, giving the place a nostalgic and cultural atmosphere. The restaurant is housed in a two-story wooden building with a spacious layout, creating a grand and open feel. It has a classic charm with a touch of local character. Aside from being a bit noisy, the overall environment is quite nice — I would rate the ambiance between 4 and 4.5 stars. As for the food, the portions are quite small and the prices are on the higher side, so the value for money is relatively low. I'd rate the food around 3.5 stars. If the pricing were more reasonable, it could deserve 4 stars. The service is decent. The staff speak English, and there’s an English menu available. However, the Wi-Fi is basically unusable. Service overall can be rated 4 stars. In summary: Food: 3.5–4 stars (due to small portions and high prices) Service: 4 stars Environment: 4–4.5 stars (minus some points for noise) Overall: 4 stars

And incredible restaurant in central Yangon. I had heard a lot about this place in blogs online and it lived up to expectations. I went in the evening and vibe was chill, low mood lighting, art in the walls, wooden decor. The cocktail list was long, I tried several and they were all delicious. Menu was modern take on Burmese food. Highly recommend the pork noodles and tea infused cocktails. Staff were attentive and friendly, service was quick. Learned a lot about the history of the restaurant and of the city while there too!

Cocktails are stunning! Artistic local creations! Ambiance is spot on! On world charm. Perfect spot to visit with friends, family, a romantic treat or by yourself! Food is tasty and staff are friendly!
Cindy N — Google review
As a foreigner in Myanmar amidst some uncertainty, Rangoon Tea House was a comforting gem in the heart of Yangon! The tea and food here are absolutely top-notch — easily the best I’ve had in the city. I especially loved the mohinga — rich, flavourful, and authentic. The ambience is stylish yet relaxed, and the service was warm and welcoming. If (and when) I return to Myanmar, this will definitely be one of my first stops again!

Nestled within the Kandawgyi Park compound, Garden Bistro is a charming eatery located next to Signature Fine Dining Restaurant. It offers spacious car parking and a playground for children, making it an ideal spot for families. Known for its delectable dim sum, this restaurant is favored by the embassy and business crowd for breakfast meetings. With pleasant lakeside views, it's a great place to enjoy a relaxing meal or indulge in some dim sum until 2pm.
The food tastes so good and delicious. The service was great. Burmese tea is really delicious. The view is nice and amazing. It will be better if they could add more fans for the customers. Will go there again.

Really beautiful location near lake side. The food prices were just fine. It's nice place for lunch, breakfast and romantic dinner 🍽️. Everyone can enjoy their. Not too crowded.
Avantika B — Google review
The dimsum is good. The coffee is not that strong. The western-style breakfast comes in a right portion, but it's nothing special. I recommend Chinese food here, not European. The atmosphere is nice to have a cup of coffee in the morning with your loved ones. The price is reasonable, not too expensive. The staff are nice and polite.
Pruksapan B — Google review
Ordered different kinds of dim sum. Some of them were overcooked. The olive prawn dim sum tasted awful. The rest of them were fine. It’s packed on weekends and the service isn’t good enough for the 10% that they charge.

It is nice restaurant as well as crowd. actually, i don't the taste of the shop. It seems tasty.

This restaurant is just next to the lake and has a cozy atmosphere. The food was very good and delicious - well spiced - enjoyed a little break here. The restaurant seemed very clean and like a place the japanese tourist would favor 😊 would go again.

Beautiful location on the location. I loved having little bells you could press to summon service. The prices were just fine for what you get in return. It's nice place to people watch and enjoy a Sunday lunch if so inclined or you could go for a cold beer on a hot day.

My favorite restaurant in Yangon. Amazing kitchen. I recommend the king schrimp.
David H — Google review
Mainly for big groups. We ordered around 5 dishes - fish, squid, crab, tofu and mutton. All tastes normal to me and portion is quite small. We ended our dinner with durian puff. Service is good. They have large car parking. Price: $$-$$$
Htet A — Google review
High end restaurant for seafood and Chinese dishes. Waiters/waitresses are very attentive. Decor and atmosphere is befitting of a high end restaurant. However, in my opinion, dishes are over-rated and over-priced.
Kyaw T — Google review
Fook Mun Lau Seafoods Restaurant. Chinese place with expensive vibes. Dishes are all quite expensive. Seafood quality good. Seasoning all seem to have strong MSG flavors, so big limits on satisfaction.
Pro E — Google review
Good taste of chinese food. Large Car Parking space. 3 floors of spacious rooms and hall with lift. The 3rd floor hall can hold over 300 guests including a stage. A good view for photography because there is the Inya Lake behind it and a small park and playground for children too.

It's fresh from the aquarium. I loved the location of the place too. The restaurant is clean, staffs are friendly and polite with good mannerism, the interior of the restaurant is very cultural with Chinese vases and tranditional pieces.
Aura C — Google review
The food is very tasty and it's very pricey. The staff were not very attentive when we went there. We ate in a private room and there was no one to pour the tea or clean up the table although there weren't many people on that day.

Dim sum restaurant
Excel Crystal Jade Restaurant has become a beloved staple in Yangon, especially for those who work nearby. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly service, it’s no wonder that many find themselves returning regularly. The restaurant specializes in delightful dim sum served during lunch hours, offering a variety of fresh and steaming options that are perfect for sharing or enjoying solo. For dinner, guests can indulge in rice dishes accompanied by an array of side options.
Excel Crystal Jade restaurant is opposite my workplace, so I almost come here everyday and it slowly becomes an essential part of my Yangon. The dim sum here is only served as lunch, for dinner you can order rice with side dishes. The food is quite nice, the price is so reasonable, and the service is unbeatable. Love this place.
Henry P — Google review
1st try Dim Sum here. Taste is a bit different from other Chinese Restaurants’. Light and freshness. Dumpling is not quite good. The rest are nice. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Ambience is like typical Chinese restaurants; ancient and classic style. Good to have breakfast or lunch with family.

Chinese restaurant
Oriental House is a beloved gem in Yangon, renowned for its authentic dim sum and bustling atmosphere. With five branches across the city, including a new location on Inya Street near Rangoon University, it has become a go-to spot for breakfast lovers. The restaurant opens early to serve delicious dim sum but be mindful that the quality tends to dip after 10 am—so it's best to arrive early!
This place is my childhood comfort place! Every twice a week, I would go there with my family and enjoy the best dishes! The food are very tasty and service is good as well!
Thu H — Google review
Place is crowded fully during breakfast time (9-10 AM) as it is small two story food center. I feel like Dim Sum here are not fresh as other Oriental House Restaurants. Maybe it is franchised since shop name is also other one. Service is not much good as well.
Nyein W — Google review
I have been a big fan of this place for more than ten years now. This place is not what it used to be anymore. The old oriental had great wait staff with great tasting food. Now, it is a shell of what it used to be. The tables are disgusting, the food is old and stale. The following picture is the food i was served which i refused to touch. They sold us day old food reheated. This is unbeliveably sad to look at.
Rim R — Google review
Koji coffee beans are really great. I believe they are from Ywa Ngan a place in Shan state. Dim sum in the early morning is also great at the dim sum side. Recommend seaweed, salted egg and steamed pork.

Morning they open as oriental house (dim sum) and in the evening they open as his.tori (bbq buffet 10,000 kyats per person) .

One of the more popular dim sum houses in Yangon. A proper breakfast place. Clean and comfortable. Attentive waiters and waitresses. Good customer service. Moderate prices. Usually crowded in the mornings especially in weekends. Limited car parking space.
Pyae K — Google review
It is now changed to His.tori But still can get the authentic Oriental House dim-sum in the morning and the shop re open again in the evening 4:30 to serve Korean BBQ and Dim Sum as well! So it's the greatest combo ever ! I would give 4 out of 5 stars in general

The Governor's Residence is a luxurious five-star colonial-style hotel located in the leafy surroundings of Yangon. It was once the old residence of a former governor and offers upscale lodging with two restaurants, an outdoor pool, and a spa. The rooms are well-appointed and luxurious, providing a perfect retreat after exploring the city. Additionally, the hotel hosts art exhibitions featuring works by contemporary Burmese artists, adding to its cultural appeal.
Their High Tea is a real treat! Beautiful old colonial architecture, with such warmth and history! Even the ladies room (ablutions) are aesthetically pleasing! A must see! Pop it on your Yangon to-do-list!
Cindy N — Google review
This establishment is said to date back to the 1920s, and stepping inside feels like a journey back 100 years — full of sunlight and elegance, almost like entering the world of nobles and gentlemen of the past. The atmosphere carries a charming, vintage aura with a touch of sophistication, making it a truly special place to dine. Staff members speak English, which adds to the comfort for international visitors. Prices are on the higher end and are listed in USD, but for those who travel frequently, the cost is still quite acceptable considering the experience. The building itself is iconic and holds historical significance. The interior blends classic architecture with refined taste, and the food is also of good quality. It’s an ideal place for those looking to enjoy a meal in a stylish and nostalgic setting. Overall, this is a destination worth visiting — both for the ambiance and the culinary experience. Rating: 85–90 out of 100.
Lis H — Google review
A comfortable and well-maintained residential community with good security and friendly management. The facilities are decent, and the location is convenient for accessing key areas in Yangon. The fine dining options nearby add a nice touch for residents who enjoy quality meals close to home. Parking is adequate, though can get busy at times. Overall, a great place to live with a peaceful environment and reliable services.
Thura W — Google review
Review of the Governor’s Residence, Yangon The Governor’s Residence in Yangon is a luxury hotel set in a beautifully restored 1920s teak mansion. Once the home of a colonial governor, it now offers guests a rare mix of history, elegance, and modern comfort. Located in the peaceful Embassy Quarter, it feels like a tranquil retreat away from the city’s noise. Rooms are spacious and decorated with teak wood and silks, while thoughtful touches like fruit baskets and local sweets add warmth. Dining is another highlight, with the breakfast buffet praised for its mix of Burmese favorites such as mohinga and international dishes. Meals are served on verandas overlooking tropical gardens, creating an atmospheric setting. The fan-shaped pool and lotus ponds add to the sense of escape, but what makes the hotel truly special is its staff, who are consistently described as attentive, friendly, and welcoming. It remains one of Yangon’s finest hotels.
Gary H — Google review
Exactly what a hotel should be! Fantastic stay here - beautiful rooms, stunning setting and a real throwback to old Rangoon. The food was delicious and the bar was a real welcome break at the end of each day. All the staff are so friendly and attentive and made the stay so special. This place will be hard to beat!

Where do I even begin….. The Governor’s Residence exceeded every expectation. The hospitality was some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. The property itself is breathtaking, with colonial-style architecture, beautiful decor, and an atmosphere of refined relaxation. Everything about this place—ambience, service, and comfort—is world-class. I would return in a heartbeat. My heartfelt thanks to the entire team for being so caring when I fell ill, ensuring I was well throughout our stay ❤️

The lush gardens and traditional Burmese decor create a serene ambiance that’s hard to find elsewhere in Yangon. The staff are incredibly attentive and ensure a top-notch experience. I particularly enjoyed the pool area and the peaceful atmosphere—it felt like an oasis in the bustling city. The food was outstanding, offering a mix of local and international flavors. Highly recommend visiting, whether for a stay or even just a meal. It’s truly a special place that showcases the charm of Yangon’s heritage.

This is my favorite coffee shop/cafe in this world. YBH works tirelessly to support socioeconomically disadvantaged women by providing skills needed in the workforce. Oh, and they make the best cinnamon buns and mint squares.

Most people just review the downstairs coffee shop but upstairs there is a lovely little restaurant with traditional Myanmar food. All the dishes tried were very. Would highly recommend a meal at Yangon Bakehouse. Atmosphere is great and service is excellent.

A quaint, unpretentious cafe with good service, great selection of pastries and cakes, and won't go wrong with the coffee. Least expect to have this gem tucked in a condominium plaza. Better yet, a cafe supporting community through training. Will come back for the bread.

Sweet little spot on the ground floor of Pearl Condo! Nice place to get work done! Each seat has it's own individual power outlet and they have free wifi! We ordered the chai tea latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The chai latte didn't have that much flavor and was mostly steamed milk. However, Yangon Bakehouse is a social enterprise that does amazing work in supporting disadvantaged women so I will be coming back regardless!

This cafe is nice to chill and enjoy a meal. When I went, there was a power cut, and their generator was having issues staying on. So, my food took half an hour to come out. After I ate, I ordered a waffle, waited half an hour, and then was told it couldn't be made. I wish I was told sooner to save my time. Aside from the time taking long. The food and drink was enjoyable

This is one of the best coffee shops in Yangon, located beside a very famous noodle shop named Aung Min Ga Lar or so. Having very good coffee quality, you can get awesome specialty ones or local favor, or deep taste cold brew here, the price is quite expensive but acceptable. Strong and free wifi is provided, with good service from local staffs whom can speak English well. The space is a little small but nice, often crowded with people, especially foreigns and travellers. Everything is almost clean, but still should be better. 4 stars rate from me

This restaurant specializes in noodle dishes and provides indoor and outdoor seating options. While it's located in a somewhat secluded area, it remains bustling with customers. The outdoor area is particularly lovely, making it a great spot for an evening drink despite the heat.
I tried loilem noodle and seasonal vegetables salad here. Fair price and service is not bad. About 20 to 30 minutes waiting time per dish. Outdoor dining area is relaxing but be aware of big mosquitoes 🦟

Had a late night dinner here. Last time I had a dinner was 3 years ago. The service and the atmosphere is amazing but definitely not recommended to try noodles here. I like the snacks here tho. Fair price.

It's been 10 years since I've been to this restaurant, but I'm really amazed that they've managed to keep the flavors of their dishes unchanged. U can have variety of menu ranging from small bite to main meal. Recommend to try this restaurant^^

Restaurant specialized in noodle dishes. It is located at a bit seclusive area, but it's full of customers. The outdoor area is beautiful, although it's really hot. Visiting in the evening for a drink is recommended.

Love their pork rib noodle! The broth is flavorful, the ribs are tender, and the noodles are perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!
Eaint S — Google review
I ate there in the evenings for almost twice per month as it’s located on my way to gym and also I like the atmosphere. The waitresses (ladies) were always friendly and provided good service. But last month I went there earlier than usual and there were only waiters (3 men). They said the shift will be changed later in the evening. (That’s when the ladies serve, I guess.) The service was very bad and they didn’t welcome customers well. They treated us like we came to eat their foods for free. They were taking orders like it was a boring task. And didn’t even smile at all.

Cantonese restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Canton Paradise (Sayarsan) is a popular spot in Myanmar known for its wide variety of dim sum, which are considered to be healthy options. The restaurant also offers breakfast with discounts on weekday mornings. Visitors highly recommend the crispy pork belly and Sichuan fried chicken, as well as the must-try roasted duck.
Had great dinner there.Recommend Szechuan style fried chicken, Crispy pork belly with honey sauce. Asparagus is good but a bit pricy. Same with prawn with mala sauce. Though Hot and sour Szechuan soup is not my taste. Bad point is that there were some small flies.
Myohan O — Google review
They are still managing their food quality and service well. However their price has spiked (understandable given the higher cost of operation these days). Recommended if you want some good authentic Cantonese food.
C L — Google review
So poor management, wrongly transferred money 60 thousands to 6 lak but told me to wait for a week to get back my money 😡😡. When I go ask my money back, they never ask me to sit or ask me to wait politely instead just told me that they have done the process and It will take a week according to their procedure. Additionally, the mushroom dish we ate, was not really fresh too.
Lway K — Google review
A good Chinese Restaurant in Yangon. It is always full so make sure to have reservation. They have private rooms upstairs. Their dim sum is good. Our favorite is the fish skin with salted egg. Because there are many customers, the table cloth is sometimes not clean. Service is relatively fast
Jan G — Google review
Very tasty and reasonably priced Chinese restaurant in town! Their roasted duck is very good, as well as fried rice and stirred fried dishes. Ample of car parking space available. Good service too.
Min Z — Google review
Good experience at Canton Paradise to enjoy an essence of Hong Kong. It was a bit of task to make the waiter understand our vegetarian requirement but a manager came to our rescue. They have a different menu before 3 pm and a different one for post 3 pm. The before 3 pm one has dim sums 😊😊 !! Though enjoyed our dinner experience, it will be good to go back and try the before 3 pm experience. The wild mushroom noodles and crispy fried tofu was excellent. The fried Kai lan with garlic was decent. The chilled cucumber became better after the flavours of the sauce soaked in. The disappointment was Shimeji fried mushrooms. It looked extra fried and was very oily. However, on explaining this, the manager took the dish back and removed it from our bill. Parking wise the compound has good parking space but once RedDot Brewhouse opens, it could get a bit crowded here.
Nidhi G — Google review
Nice place to have dimsum for breakfast. I had been there twice, for breakfast and for lunch. Dimsum tasted quite decent although there are not much wide variety of choices. The car parking lot is spacious and service is nice. Will go again for sure.
Vanessa K — Google review
The essence is missing. For a place that claims to have the essence of Hong Kong for a sign, the food is surprisingly poor. A lot of MSG used and the dim sum portions run pretty small. Shrimp cheung fun Skin was too thin and rolls too small. Barely any shrimps inside. Pork Siu mai VERY salty. So salted you needed to take big gulps of jasmine tea to wash it down. Har gow Wrapper fell apart when you touched it with the chopsticks. It shouldn't be like that. Sticky rice with chicken wrapped in Banana leaf Portion too small and they used black pepper in the sauce. Too salty. The service with trainees was pretty bad too. They don't understand English and bring you the wrong things when you ask. This place is fine if you've never had good dim sum before but a terrible mimicking of HK dim sum cuisine.

Shwe Pu Zun Cafeteria & Bakery House is a beloved spot for breakfast and lunch, especially during break times. Known for its delightful menu featuring items like Faluda, Domino, and Ras Malai, this eatery prides itself on hygiene and flavor. While it may be slightly pricier than other options, patrons find the quality worth every penny. The bustling atmosphere adds to the charm but can mean a bit of a wait during peak hours.
The most popular place for breakfast and lunch mostly break time. Popular menu items are Faluda, Domino, Ras malai. Most of these are hygiene and delicious. A little bit expensive but happy to pay at least. Service is good. Atmosphere is crowded, so too much time is not allowed. Fruits are organic and coffee is also good.

Famous and clean cafeteria and bakery. Clean and nice place. But customer service is not very well. Staff should smile no reapect customer. I think their name is already branded. So they might think they don't need hospitality as brand new.

Lucky Seven Tea Shop is a delightful gem in Yangon, showcasing the evolving culinary scene of the city. Known for its inviting atmosphere and modern amenities like air conditioning and Wi-Fi, this tea shop offers a variety of delicious dishes that reflect local flavors. Among the highlights are their mutton curry set served with fragrant pea rice, which locals rave about for its tender meat and rich spices. The attentive staff ensures a pleasant dining experience, although there’s room for improvement in English communication.
I really enjoy visiting Lucky Seven Tea Shop in Yangon. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, with the classic Myanmar tea shop vibe. The tea is always rich and flavorful, especially the “laphet yay” (milk tea), which is one of the best in the city. They also serve a wide variety of local breakfast dishes — from mohinga to paratha — all fresh and tasty. The staff are quick and attentive even when the place is busy. Prices are very reasonable, and it’s a perfect spot to enjoy a traditional Myanmar breakfast or an afternoon tea break with friends. Highly recommended if you want to experience authentic local tea shop culture in Yangon.

Really nice tea shop in Yangon, located near Yangon Airport. They serve light food and Burmese breakfast items like Chinese dumplings, tea, paratha, nan pyar, and more. I recommend trying the pork steam buns, bean paratha, and samosas. The place is a bit noisy, and parking can be challenging. The shop’s parking area accommodates about 8 or 9 vehicles, but there is additional parking available in front of the shop and along the road.

There are some Vegetarian options available as well. Staffs are super active and very welcoming to the visitors. There are also enough parking spaces available almost all the time because of the street in front of the shop and parking spaces available inside the compound and behind the shop. If you're in Yangon and craving authentic Mandalay cuisine, the Classic Mandalay Coffee & Tea House is a must-visit. Opened by CEO Ma Kay Khaing Htun in 2017 to satisfy her husband's longing for traditional dishes, this eatery serves up comforting favorites from central Myanmar. The menu features delightful options like three variations of Nan Gyi Thoke, each with different noodle thicknesses, and the standout pork ribs Mee Shay accompanied by rich pig bone soup.
Currently my favorite cafe. I started try eating here cause my school is just right beside it and now Im addicted to their food. Nan Gyi Thoke is definitely the must try food. Reasonable price. Lovin' it. I'm currently eating their tuna sandwiches nowadays. It's 5.5k for 4 sandwiches and some french fries so I'd say it's a fair trade.

The waitress forget the one of the orders. Reminded the other waitress 15 minutes later. Still needed to wait next 15 minutes. Needed to remind again. After 40 minutes, successfully received the food (picture attached). This kind of food can be prepared in less than 5 minutes in other Tea houses. Food taste and quality was not good. Seems like a rip off. There are no prices on the menu. I asked about chapati with mutton curry. The staff showed 3 fingers so I thought 3000. Food was good but very small, it's just a snack. Two pieces of mutton. In the end it was all of a sudden 12000 plus 5000 for a simple Milo =17000. Misunderstanding or scam, I don't know. But for example you can go to a much nicer restaurant like Burma Bistro and get a very big Mohinga set with fresh juice for the same price.

Best coffee in Yangon. Vegans they have a great selection of milks. I had the iced coconut latte which was delicious and they were happy to make my smoothie bowl with coconut milk instead of soy. I eat here 2 out of 3 days in Yangon and spent hours working here as well. Staff are super friendly and the location is great. Highly recommend

Nice place to chill alone and chat with a friend. Staffs are really nice and speak fluent English. And I had tea leaf salad and as per staffs they don’t use MSG or sugar in their foods which is very cool and the taste is also decent, I didn’t get to try their lemon tart since it’s only available on weekends. Really great food and incredibly good coffee, but prices are super expensive compared to other places in Myanmar/northern parts of Yangon. The hostel is nice but their bathroom needs a desperate update. Hot water didn’t work when I stayed there, and the toilet stalls are so small that a tall person has to bend their knees to the chest to sit...otherwise the place and staff is super nice.

Nice atmosphere, friendly people, healthy food… this place is great! My husband and I stopped by here for a smoothie bowl (5,500 each) and a coffee (4,000 each) before visiting the Shwedagon Pagoda. Both of the smoothie bowls were delicious, but his yellow smoothie bowl was the standout. It was so thick, and irresistibly good. We also got the iced coconut latte (decent) and iced coconut Americano (SO GOOD!). I asked for a splash of coconut milk in the Americano, and it made it even better. Do it.

One of my favorite coffee shop in Yangon! Nice and quiet spot for a weekend brunch. Their coffee menu is impressive, with tons of options to choose from, a paradise for coffee lovers! Plenty of good food options too, the banana blossom salad is a personal favorite

I recently visited this charming rooftop cafe and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful break from the city below. They offer an impressive range of coffee, from the classics to some unique specialty brews – coffee lovers will definitely appreciate the variety here! The menu also includes breakfast options and local desserts, which is a nice touch. I tried one of their desserts, and I loved that it wasn’t overly sweet. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but given the ambiance and quality, it’s worth it for an occasional treat. Overall, a lovely place to relax with good coffee and a beautiful view.

You can enjoy Burmese breakfast here. Portions are quite bigger than I thought and one portion is easy to share for two ppl. Tea is normal. Food is good. Keemar is superb & recommended one to try. Ambience is nice.

We had a brilliant experience this morning for lunch at Cafe Salween. The waiters were very attentive and provided superb service. For our mains, we had 2 pastas (carbonara and shan chicken) and 1 kachin pork chop and all 3 were delightful. For dessert, we had their special coconut and malai pizza, as well as the fried calzone. Both were great and unique. The calzone was a little on the sweet side but on the bright side, that helped to ease off the heaviness from our mains. We also sampled their taunggyi latte, flat white and tea options which all didn't disappoint. There was no one else when we came at 1125 am (reserved via Facebook for safe measure and that was a great experience too). The ambience is really nice with great view of the city skyline from the 8th floor. Overall an awesome experience and would definitely come back again.

Expensive for nothing. We came here in January. I found the service to be careless for the price they charge. I wonder why customers are supposed to give 10% for waiters who show long faces and act as if you were bothering them. The pizza wasn’t good and they didn’t even have Tabasco sauce for this price! Only the cocktails were OK. Never again.
Sarah B — Google review
Drinks menu is superb. Pizza is delicious but fewer choice. I would recommend cold noodles rather than beef pho. Dessert menu would be very nice for foreigners. Free wifi, almost every table has nearest plug for your electronics devices.

Coffee is lovely here. The food too. Had the fusion pesto noodle and was happy with it. The place is quiet and beautiful choice of background music. Nice to spend time here for brunch. Another visit I had the Tofu salad which was good but could reduce the salty level on this dish. The Golden Hand noodle and Pineapple beef curry were great.
Clarence S — Google review
Great local coffee nicely brewed several ways (from chemex to pour over). Descent food menu. My absolute hits are burmese crepes and salads (pennyworth, tomato, tealeaf). Fresh and crispy - that's what I love. I think their laphet thoke is the best in Yangon. Desserts are not my cup of tea. They either remind me baked porridge or banana bread when I forgot to put eggs into dough. Still 5 stars) If they added some European style desserts with local spirit I would give 6))))

"မြစပါယ်" is a hidden gem in the local scene, offering great value for delicious food and authentic free-flow tea with a robust flavor. The staff goes above and beyond, providing excellent service that surpasses neighboring upscale restaurants. It's a lively spot popular among people of all ages, serving delightful breakfast options and delectable milkshakes.
I just heard the loud rumble coming out of this place. I looked in and saw a packed house. I tried working out what was going on and got myself some goodies and a chocolate/jaffa milkshake. It was all good. This place seems like a real wheeler dealer, hangout type place for people of all ages. It's definitely not a quiet cozy cafe!

A place at downtown for breakfast and lunch. Taste of food here is just okay but order waiting time is not long which is nice. It is two stories shop but seating plan of tables is a bit tight and close with each other.

Local restaurant where you can eat authentic Burmese cuisine. Cheap and yet tasty. Tried their mohingar and falooda. We ate here twice because the food was good and not pricey.

love this place. can’t believe how i missed it out in the first place, and went to the big name next door instead. It’s absolutely good value. A more local place, food is delicious, their free flow tea is authentic, strong tea taste,,,,btw, the most funny part is their staff service is way too much better than the fancy restaurant next door (if u accidentally read my yesterday’s review, u will know which restaurant i refer to) p.s, came back for a delightful breakfast! so yummy!😋

This eatery is an ideal choice for those yearning for Singaporean or Malaysian cuisine as it offers an extensive array of options to cater to diverse cravings. Additionally, the second level provides a more contemporary setting for patrons to enjoy their meals.
Really love eating here especially during lunch hours as they offer lunch menu at around 4,200 kyats for a main dish, a drink and watermelon! Overall, the taste of the food and drinks are really good. Do sit on the 2nd level for a more modern environment. Will definitely recommend this place! :D

Nestled within the elegant Pan Pacific Hotel in Yangon, Pacific Marketplace is a chic café that perfectly blends style and comfort. This inviting spot opens its doors early, serving up an array of delightful coffee options alongside scrumptious pastries, including baked doughnuts and croissants. The atmosphere is bright and airy, making it an ideal setting for everything from casual catch-ups to productive work sessions. While the space may feel a bit cozy at times, the attentive staff ensures a warm experience for all visitors.
Feel luxurious but not expensive. I love it

Great coffee, excellent pastries. Staff is friendly and attentive. What I also loved is the environment: airy, bright, elegant yet comfortable. A particular note must be made of the chairs. I always chose a venue based on what chairs they have. These are fantastic, comfortable, supporting, solid. The prices are above average for Yangon but they reflect the place. Overall, a great café to stop for a coffee break, for a business meeting and even for a quiet place where to work. Will definitely return.

*Updated February 2, 2018: I give a 5-star since improvements have been made and of course with the latest addition of complementary Wifi.* Pacific Marketplace is a trendy coffee shop located on the ground floor of the Pan Pacific Hotel at Junction City. It opens early and serves delicious baked doughnuts and croissants and other delicacies. However, on occasion, the delicacies can be stale. The interior is spacious and the environment is comfortable. Pacific Marketplace also serves beers, soft drinks and a range of coffee. A latte is priced at approximately $3. All prices on the menu are in US Dollars. The staff are very friendly and the services is mostly excellent. During the morning time Pacific Marketplace can be accessed from the lobby of the Pan Pacific Hotel. After 9:00am onwards, it can additionally be accessed from Junction City.

Coffee machine broken, micros not working and many flies annoying the guests. Pastries are very average. Nice interior though- what a shame that the rest does not live up to it!

Ordered a cake from The Marketplace. Manager, Ricky took the order and said I can pick up the cake at the time I mentioned. When we get there, the cake was not ready and the manager didn't say anything about the cake to his staff. Staffs were not very patient on the telephone. WE HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER 30 MINUTES to get it. They even mixed up the order. What a terrible service, shame on you!!!!
