5 stars Absolutely loved my experience at Rangoon Tea House! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, with a great mix of modern and traditional Burmese style. The food was delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with care. I especially enjoyed the tea selection and the thoughtful presentation of every dish. Service was friendly and professional throughout. One of the best places to eat in Yangon — highly recommended! There is also a smoking section by the outside table eating area.

A nice place for all day dinings. Variety of food from Chinese dim sum, Burmese food, and international breakfast. They are famous for tea and tea leaves. Cheesecake is also recommended.

Probably the best Burmese food restaurant you’ll have in downtown Yangon. They also have Indian cuisine-influenced food including bacon & cheese samosa, which I can’t get enough of, and chicken biryani. I also had crispy pork bowl and it was divine. Finished the entire bowl! Spent ~90k mmk on my meal but that was definitely for sharing! I wasnt able to finish the biryani. Preferably, you visit this place with family or friends and enjoy the food because the portions are definitely for sharing. :)

And incredible restaurant in central Yangon. I had heard a lot about this place in blogs online and it lived up to expectations. I went in the evening and vibe was chill, low mood lighting, art in the walls, wooden decor. The cocktail list was long, I tried several and they were all delicious. Menu was modern take on Burmese food. Highly recommend the pork noodles and tea infused cocktails. Staff were attentive and friendly, service was quick. Learned a lot about the history of the restaurant and of the city while there too!

As a foreigner in Myanmar amidst some uncertainty, Rangoon Tea House was a comforting gem in the heart of Yangon! The tea and food here are absolutely top-notch — easily the best I’ve had in the city. I especially loved the mohinga — rich, flavourful, and authentic. The ambience is stylish yet relaxed, and the service was warm and welcoming. If (and when) I return to Myanmar, this will definitely be one of my first stops again!

The dimsum is good. The coffee is not that strong. The western-style breakfast comes in a right portion, but it's nothing special. I recommend Chinese food here, not European. The atmosphere is nice to have a cup of coffee in the morning with your loved ones. The price is reasonable, not too expensive. The staff are nice and polite.

Ordered different kinds of dim sum. Some of them were overcooked. The olive prawn dim sum tasted awful. The rest of them were fine. It’s packed on weekends and the service isn’t good enough for the 10% that they charge.

Beautiful location on the location. I loved having little bells you could press to summon service. The prices were just fine for what you get in return. It's nice place to people watch and enjoy a Sunday lunch if so inclined or you could go for a cold beer on a hot day.

High end restaurant for seafood and Chinese dishes. Waiters/waitresses are very attentive. Decor and atmosphere is befitting of a high end restaurant. However, in my opinion, dishes are over-rated and over-priced.

Fook Mun Lau Seafoods Restaurant. Chinese place with expensive vibes. Dishes are all quite expensive. Seafood quality good. Seasoning all seem to have strong MSG flavors, so big limits on satisfaction.

Good taste of chinese food. Large Car Parking space. 3 floors of spacious rooms and hall with lift. The 3rd floor hall can hold over 300 guests including a stage. A good view for photography because there is the Inya Lake behind it and a small park and playground for children too.

It's fresh from the aquarium. I loved the location of the place too. The restaurant is clean, staffs are friendly and polite with good mannerism, the interior of the restaurant is very cultural with Chinese vases and tranditional pieces.

The food is very tasty and it's very pricey. The staff were not very attentive when we went there. We ate in a private room and there was no one to pour the tea or clean up the table although there weren't many people on that day.

1st try Dim Sum here. Taste is a bit different from other Chinese Restaurants’. Light and freshness. Dumpling is not quite good. The rest are nice. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Place is crowded fully during breakfast time (9-10 AM) as it is small two story food center. I feel like Dim Sum here are not fresh as other Oriental House Restaurants. Maybe it is franchised since shop name is also other one. Service is not much good as well.

I have been a big fan of this place for more than ten years now. This place is not what it used to be anymore. The old oriental had great wait staff with great tasting food. Now, it is a shell of what it used to be. The tables are disgusting, the food is old and stale. The following picture is the food i was served which i refused to touch. They sold us day old food reheated. This is unbeliveably sad to look at.

Koji coffee beans are really great. I believe they are from Ywa Ngan a place in Shan state. Dim sum in the early morning is also great at the dim sum side. Recommend seaweed, salted egg and steamed pork.

One of the more popular dim sum houses in Yangon. A proper breakfast place. Clean and comfortable. Attentive waiters and waitresses. Good customer service. Moderate prices. Usually crowded in the mornings especially in weekends. Limited car parking space.

It is now changed to His.tori But still can get the authentic Oriental House dim-sum in the morning and the shop re open again in the evening 4:30 to serve Korean BBQ and Dim Sum as well! So it's the greatest combo ever ! I would give 4 out of 5 stars in general

Most people just review the downstairs coffee shop but upstairs there is a lovely little restaurant with traditional Myanmar food. All the dishes tried were very. Would highly recommend a meal at Yangon Bakehouse. Atmosphere is great and service is excellent.

A quaint, unpretentious cafe with good service, great selection of pastries and cakes, and won't go wrong with the coffee. Least expect to have this gem tucked in a condominium plaza. Better yet, a cafe supporting community through training. Will come back for the bread.

Sweet little spot on the ground floor of Pearl Condo! Nice place to get work done! Each seat has it's own individual power outlet and they have free wifi! We ordered the chai tea latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The chai latte didn't have that much flavor and was mostly steamed milk. However, Yangon Bakehouse is a social enterprise that does amazing work in supporting disadvantaged women so I will be coming back regardless!

When a cup of coffee is more... Yangon Bakehouse is a social enterprise where they trains talented, capable Myanmar ladies to start their own business. Yangon Bakehouse offers the best hot chocolate in town, (and the best carrot cake according to my friend). Very hygienic and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. PLUS you pay for your food and a good cause.

This cafe is nice to chill and enjoy a meal. When I went, there was a power cut, and their generator was having issues staying on. So, my food took half an hour to come out. After I ate, I ordered a waffle, waited half an hour, and then was told it couldn't be made. I wish I was told sooner to save my time. Aside from the time taking long. Bak Chor Mee/Mince Meat Noodle/Mee Pok is the one of Signature dish widely available around Singapore. Luckily Easy Specialty bring this dish to Yangon. We ordered BCM & Mini Wok noddle and both are very delicious. Their coffee is very good too. Highly recommended

So far the only proper coffee I had in my 9-day trip in Myanmar. Their latte is better than many high end hotels. The place is chilled, not as crowded as Rangoon tea house. They also sell roasted coffee beams in cute packages, which looks very community/environmental friendly.

Another Great Specialty coffee shop runs by Easy Specialty Coffee. The coffee beans are fresh and nicely brewed. Barista can be improved to make better brewing cups. The grilled cheese was awesome. I like the atmosphere and decoration of the cafe. I literally sat for the while afternoon.

This is one of the best coffee shops in Yangon, located beside a very famous noodle shop named Aung Min Ga Lar or so. Having very good coffee quality, you can get awesome specialty ones or local favor, or deep taste cold brew here, the price is quite expensive but acceptable. Strong and free wifi is provided, with good service from local staffs whom can speak English well. The space is a little small but nice, often crowded with people, especially foreigns and travellers. Everything is almost clean, but still should be better. 4 stars rate from me

One of a kind in Yangon. EASY cafe has the nicest drinks in town. We bought all the beans for Pour Over and tried some of their signature drinks, oolong cold brew and monochrome were so flavorful. They trade directly with farmers to get the quality of their beans.

Had a late night dinner here. Last time I had a dinner was 3 years ago. The service and the atmosphere is amazing but definitely not recommended to try noodles here. I like the snacks here tho. Fair price.

Restaurant specialized in noodle dishes. It is located at a bit seclusive area, but it's full of customers. The outdoor area is beautiful, although it's really hot. Visiting in the evening for a drink is recommended.

Love their pork rib noodle! The broth is flavorful, the ribs are tender, and the noodles are perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!

I ate there in the evenings for almost twice per month as it’s located on my way to gym and also I like the atmosphere. The waitresses (ladies) were always friendly and provided good service. But last month I went there earlier than usual and there were only waiters (3 men). They said the shift will be changed later in the evening. (That’s when the ladies serve, I guess.) The service was very bad and they didn’t welcome customers well. They treated us like we came to eat their foods for free. They were taking orders like it was a boring task. And didn’t even smile at all.

They are still managing their food quality and service well. However their price has spiked (understandable given the higher cost of operation these days). Recommended if you want some good authentic Cantonese food.

So poor management, wrongly transferred money 60 thousands to 6 lak but told me to wait for a week to get back my money 😡😡. When I go ask my money back, they never ask me to sit or ask me to wait politely instead just told me that they have done the process and It will take a week according to their procedure. Additionally, the mushroom dish we ate, was not really fresh too.

Good experience at Canton Paradise to enjoy an essence of Hong Kong. It was a bit of task to make the waiter understand our vegetarian requirement but a manager came to our rescue. They have a different menu before 3 pm and a different one for post 3 pm. The before 3 pm one has dim sums 😊😊 !! Though enjoyed our dinner experience, it will be good to go back and try the before 3 pm experience. The wild mushroom noodles and crispy fried tofu was excellent. The fried Kai lan with garlic was decent. The chilled cucumber became better after the flavours of the sauce soaked in. The disappointment was Shimeji fried mushrooms. It looked extra fried and was very oily. However, on explaining this, the manager took the dish back and removed it from our bill. Parking wise the compound has good parking space but once RedDot Brewhouse opens, it could get a bit crowded here.

Nice place to have dimsum for breakfast. I had been there twice, for breakfast and for lunch. Dimsum tasted quite decent although there are not much wide variety of choices. The car parking lot is spacious and service is nice. Will go again for sure.

The essence is missing. For a place that claims to have the essence of Hong Kong for a sign, the food is surprisingly poor. A lot of MSG used and the dim sum portions run pretty small. Shrimp cheung fun Skin was too thin and rolls too small. Barely any shrimps inside. Pork Siu mai VERY salty. So salted you needed to take big gulps of jasmine tea to wash it down. Har gow Wrapper fell apart when you touched it with the chopsticks. It shouldn't be like that. Sticky rice with chicken wrapped in Banana leaf Portion too small and they used black pepper in the sauce. Too salty. The service with trainees was pretty bad too. They don't understand English and bring you the wrong things when you ask. This place is fine if you've never had good dim sum before but a terrible mimicking of HK dim sum cuisine.

One of the best shop for dessert. They have lot of quality options. The puddings and faluda is super good. I like their bakery items as well . I tried their rashmalai it was really good much much better then the so called Indian shop selling them. I highly recommend this place

Great cake, great drink, good food. They have 2 location, 1 in downtown and 1 near capital mall. Easily to find. In downtown has 2 separate store to eat and to buy bread. In other place has a beautiful garden and a big hall.

It is a very famous dessert shop by the local and even foreigners. They grow their own fruits from their plantation. We ordered their famous Fa Lu Da and Domino, it tasted heavenly and good for this hot weather. You should visit this cafeteria and try it yourself.

Really nice tea shop in Yangon, located near Yangon Airport. They serve light food and Burmese breakfast items like Chinese dumplings, tea, paratha, nan pyar, and more. I recommend trying the pork steam buns, bean paratha, and samosas. The place is a bit noisy, and parking can be challenging. The shop’s parking area accommodates about 8 or 9 vehicles, but there is additional parking available in front of the shop and along the road.

Lucky Seven Tea Shop (9 Miles) is one of the famous Tea Shop Chains in Yangon. They have other branches in some other townships as well. Foods are nice and delicious with fair price. There are some Vegetarian options available as well. Staffs are super active and very welcoming to the visitors. There are also enough parking spaces available almost all the time because of the street in front of the shop and parking spaces available inside the compound and behind the shop. The shop is opening the whole day until late afternoon. It is not only famous because of their food, fair price but also no other big competition or choice around that area.

We have their signature tofu nway(chickpea paste) with shan noodle,pork leg noodle soup, fried tofu and vegetable Hin htote ( steamed chive with rice paste). Good one and fair price.

This shop is a branch from Taung Gyi. Their best food is Tofu (soft tofu with noodle and fried tofu). Hin Htote is also good.

Very authentic and delicious Shan traditional noodles … Food portion is generous and price is reasonable compared to most shop … One thing to take note is they used loads of MSG and for someone like me who stayed away from MSG for a long time, suffered from terrible headache all day 😖

One of the best Shan Noodles in town originally from Taung Gyi and This one is branch from main outlet. Highly recommended for Tohu Nway,Shan noddle both soup and dry version. Their Mone Nyin Chin is very good

Downtown Yangon, there are a plethora of eateries. This one stood as being very authentic, Burma. Aa usual, the service with a smile was awesome. The food is simple, tasty, and all one needs for brunch. Top it off with a boba tea made the whole experience worth coming back.

The waitress forget the one of the orders. Reminded the other waitress 15 minutes later. Still needed to wait next 15 minutes. Needed to remind again. After 40 minutes, successfully received the food (picture attached). This kind of food can be prepared in less than 5 minutes in other Tea houses. Food taste and quality was not good. Doesn’t recommend except for the atmosphere.

Happy time to sit here sipping my favorite drink/local myanmar tea or coffee , there are also snacks, local dishes , outdoor space for sitting by the street or sit smoking with green backdrop wall decorated with traditional myanmar puppets.

Seems like a rip off. There are no prices on the menu. I asked about chapati with mutton curry. The staff showed 3 fingers so I thought 3000. Food was good but very small, it's just a snack. Two pieces of mutton. In the end it was all of a sudden 12000 plus 5000 for a simple Milo =17000. Misunderstanding or scam, I don't know. But for example you can go to a much nicer restaurant like Burma Bistro and get a very big Mohinga set with fresh juice for the same price.

First time in Yangon and had amazing breakfast here. I love the food here especially mohinga and puri with potato curry. Tea was sweet but you can add more water too. Love the atmosphere here as many locals have their breakfast too. Would have come back in future.

Was having breakfast here everyday while in downtown Yangon and they served amazing foods! Everything was cheap & reasonable. Full of choices to choose from the menu. Love the milk tea!! This place is famous among locals, too, so it can get crowded. Just steps away from our airbnb guesthouse. Perfect local experience.

I couldn’t get enough of lucky seven whilst in Yangon and there’s a couple of Venues around. They’re always busy but the tables turn pretty quickly or they’ll find a table to stick you on. The roti and mutton curry for breakfast was a favourite of mine as well as the speciality tea.

Nice place to chill alone and chat with a friend. Staffs are really nice and speak fluent English. And I had tea leaf salad and as per staffs they don’t use MSG or sugar in their foods which is very cool and the taste is also decent, I didn’t get to try their lemon tart since it’s only available on weekends. Will I visit there again tho? Maybe if I’m in the area and looking for a nice place to chill. Other than that, I don’t think I’ll go out of my way to visit there again.

One of my very favourite places to eat in Yangon! The taste is good, the selection of vegetarian dishes is enough, price is fair, the staff is helpful and speaks good English and now they even have cakes during weekends from Monsieur Tart! It's just sad they aren't open after 6pm, otherwise this would be my go-to place for dinner.

Really great food and incredibly good coffee, but prices are super expensive compared to other places in Myanmar/northern parts of Yangon. The hostel is nice but their bathroom needs a desperate update. Hot water didn’t work when I stayed there, and the toilet stalls are so small that a tall person has to bend their knees to the chest to sit...otherwise the place and staff is super nice.

What a great find. Right in the heart of Yangon, I've just eaten the best breakfast ever. Check out their dragon fruit smoothie bowl. Lashings of fruit, granola, goji berries. Totally yummy. This place is a guest house too. Really friendly staff. Lovely, clean, stylish rooms. I don't normally give five stars lightly, but this place totally deserved it. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere, friendly people, healthy food… this place is great! My husband and I stopped by here for a smoothie bowl (5,500 each) and a coffee (4,000 each) before visiting the Shwedagon Pagoda. Both of the smoothie bowls were delicious, but his yellow smoothie bowl was the standout. It was so thick, and irresistibly good. We also got the iced coconut latte (decent) and iced coconut Americano (SO GOOD!). I asked for a splash of coconut milk in the Americano, and it made it even better. Do it.

Went there for a themed noodle night and it did not disappoint. In fact we had double servings! It was very tasty! Lydia, the manager, will make sure you have a great time! I would like to go back and try something more next time.

Great options for coffee and non-coffee drinks and their pastry section has something for everyone. This is my first time here but it is now my favorite coffee location in town. They also sell aluminum tumblers with tops and that’s a coveted find out here. Coconut crepe cake is to die for.

It’s normal chain cafe similar to Starbucks. Cakes and croissant look good in present but taste really dry, either not fresh or cheap ingredients. Coffee was bitter, tastes like dark roasted low quality beans. I can’t finish what I have ordered for the not good taste.

This place serves the best smoothie in town. My favorite one is smoothie bowl with fruits and nuts. It is 100% worth the try even though the price is a little high. The coffee and other drinks taste good too. Moreover it has two story and you can work or study there by bringing your laptop. They also give free WiFi. One of my favorite spot in town. The only downside is there is no space to park the car😁

The cafe gives you that chilling vibe with its set up but on crowded day, you feel a bit too much for introverts like me. Food and coffee is what you would expect from this standard so, definitely not for a budget date. Overall, sure I would recommend for a coffee date/catchup.

You can enjoy Burmese breakfast here. Portions are quite bigger than I thought and one portion is easy to share for two ppl. Tea is normal. Food is good. Keemar is superb & recommended one to try. Ambience is nice.

We had a brilliant experience this morning for lunch at Cafe Salween. The waiters were very attentive and provided superb service. For our mains, we had 2 pastas (carbonara and shan chicken) and 1 kachin pork chop and all 3 were delightful. For dessert, we had their special coconut and malai pizza, as well as the fried calzone. Both were great and unique. The calzone was a little on the sweet side but on the bright side, that helped to ease off the heaviness from our mains. We also sampled their taunggyi latte, flat white and tea options which all didn't disappoint. There was no one else when we came at 1125 am (reserved via Facebook for safe measure and that was a great experience too). The ambience is really nice with great view of the city skyline from the 8th floor. Overall an awesome experience and would definitely come back again.

Expensive for nothing. We came here in January. I found the service to be careless for the price they charge. I wonder why customers are supposed to give 10% for waiters who show long faces and act as if you were bothering them. The pizza wasn’t good and they didn’t even have Tabasco sauce for this price! Only the cocktails were OK. Never again.

Drinks menu is superb. Pizza is delicious but fewer choice. I would recommend cold noodles rather than beef pho. Dessert menu would be very nice for foreigners. Free wifi, almost every table has nearest plug for your electronics devices.

Coffee is lovely here. The food too. Had the fusion pesto noodle and was happy with it. The place is quiet and beautiful choice of background music. Nice to spend time here for brunch. Another visit I had the Tofu salad which was good but could reduce the salty level on this dish. The Golden Hand noodle and Pineapple beef curry were great.

Great local coffee nicely brewed several ways (from chemex to pour over). Descent food menu. My absolute hits are burmese crepes and salads (pennyworth, tomato, tealeaf). Fresh and crispy - that's what I love. I think their laphet thoke is the best in Yangon. Desserts are not my cup of tea. They either remind me baked porridge or banana bread when I forgot to put eggs into dough. Still 5 stars) If they added some European style desserts with local spirit I would give 6))))

A place at downtown for breakfast and lunch. Taste of food here is just okay but order waiting time is not long which is nice. It is two stories shop but seating plan of tables is a bit tight and close with each other.

Local restaurant where you can eat authentic Burmese cuisine. Cheap and yet tasty. Tried their mohingar and falooda. We ate here twice because the food was good and not pricey.

Amazing experience. Great place if you want to stop for a coffee break, eat a fine lunch or dinner, breakfast.. And to top it all.. It has also the vibe of a collaboration space/hub cafe. The service is amazing, the staff is incredibly polite. Their lemongrass homemade juice is amazing.

Curry Mee with a large portion and a huge chicken taste is enough for the people who miss Malaysian food. Copi ice quality is not bad. They got pretty much Malaysian food to try on.

If you're a fan of Singaporean or Malaysian cuisine, this place is perfect for you. It offers a wide range of choices to satisfy your cravings.

No way near Malaysia food standard. Ingredients used not fresh (we took coconut curry noodle and kaya butter toast). Need improvement.

This is one of the rare F&B outlets where you get good food at reasonable prices. Truly value for money. Many excellent dishes, such as steamed chicken rice, nasi lemak, roti prata, mee goreng, fried noodles, curry noodles, and a variety of drinks ranging from kopi O and Americano to fruit juoce and beer. Service is also good with attentive wait staff and new items are added to the menu regularly. Definitely a must try!

Great coffee, excellent pastries. Staff is friendly and attentive. What I also loved is the environment: airy, bright, elegant yet comfortable. A particular note must be made of the chairs. I always chose a venue based on what chairs they have. These are fantastic, comfortable, supporting, solid. The prices are above average for Yangon but they reflect the place. Overall, a great café to stop for a coffee break, for a business meeting and even for a quiet place where to work. Will definitely return.

*Updated February 2, 2018: I give a 5-star since improvements have been made and of course with the latest addition of complementary Wifi.* Pacific Marketplace is a trendy coffee shop located on the ground floor of the Pan Pacific Hotel at Junction City. It opens early and serves delicious baked doughnuts and croissants and other delicacies. However, on occasion, the delicacies can be stale. The interior is spacious and the environment is comfortable. Pacific Marketplace also serves beers, soft drinks and a range of coffee. A latte is priced at approximately $3. All prices on the menu are in US Dollars. The staff are very friendly and the services is mostly excellent. During the morning time Pacific Marketplace can be accessed from the lobby of the Pan Pacific Hotel. After 9:00am onwards, it can additionally be accessed from Junction City.

Coffee machine broken, micros not working and many flies annoying the guests. Pastries are very average. Nice interior though- what a shame that the rest does not live up to it!

Ordered a cake from The Marketplace. Manager, Ricky took the order and said I can pick up the cake at the time I mentioned. When we get there, the cake was not ready and the manager didn't say anything about the cake to his staff. Staffs were not very patient on the telephone. WE HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER 30 MINUTES to get it. They even mixed up the order. What a terrible service, shame on you!!!!

Pet friendly cafe with cute decoration. Little bit crowded since people are busy taking pics. Cakes and drink were fancy but the taste was so so. They have pet store next to it and car wash just the opposite.
