This cafe is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, with its European-inspired breakfast and lunch dishes. It offers outdoor seating, as well as wheelchair accessibility. The cafe also accepts credit cards and has free wifi.
Delicious food, great coffee, decent prices. Staff are friendly and quick service.

It was the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten in my life. I felt sick to my stomach. The Tom Yum smelled like it had definitely come out of a toilet. I was about to throw up, so I ate the chicken. The vegetables were clearly unwashed. Luckily there was a 7-Eleven next door so I was able to fill my stomach. Edit: I didn't see the smoking sign, I'm sorry. The issue has nothing to do with smoking. Of course I know how hard it is for businesses to stay afloat. Restaurants are a tough business, I respect that. But there is no exaggeration in my comment, I don't slander anyone. I'm sorry, my regards.
Primat D — Google review
The cafe is directly across the street from the bus station. An all around diner catering to different eating choices it does have many vegan options to choose from. The service can be a bit slow due to the cafe’s popularity but the food served is very good. On this particular day I had rice with pad thai with vegetables, todo and mushrooms, a fresh fruit salad and a shake made with strawberries, blueberries and bananas made with water. Total cost… 228 baht or just around $6.50.
Kenneth B — Google review
Food was alright but overpriced for what it was, particularly the set breakfast which left much to be desired although the eggs were nice. Staff looked unbothered. But had nice music. Right opposite the bus station so an okay place to stop if you’re desperate for western food. Otherwise I would look elsewhere!
Alex M — Google review
This place is so dirty, weird, and the “toasted” cheese sandwich I got was cold with the cheese not even melted… I had no other option than to get a snack from here because I was rushing to the bus station. But I didn’t even eat the sandwich after seeing how filthy the place is..
Vasilisa M — Google review
The pad thai tasted like tomato sauce, but it was good, the service was friendly and quick.
Juan G — Google review
Good value Thai breakfast, and reasonable farang breakfast. Fruit and muesli is small serve for 100+b. Very nice to have cocoa and cinnamon available with the coffee, but the coffee was just "good". Still....Where I'm from this would be 4.7+, I'm not sure it's 5 bit the current score is way too low.
Rob W — Google review
We had the coconut soup with tofu and the fried vegetarian dumplings. Both dishes tasted and looked pretty good, especially the soup was delicious! Just the dumplings were a little bit hard. Prices were okay, too.

Polar Boulangerie and Patisserie is a charming bakery located in Chiang Rai, offering a serene escape from the city with its garden and quiet play area. The establishment has the ambiance of an old village farmhouse and serves light meals, with coffee being their specialty. Known for its brunch menu, Polar offers a variety of treats including bagels, English muffins, and eggs Benedict.
Polar is one of our favorite cafes in Chiang Rai! wonderful location quite outside of the urban environment. Coffee is far superior to most other coffee places in the Chiang Rai area.

Was surprised that this cafe is so popular despite its secluded location. There’s no air-conditioning, but it’s a nice spot to chill and relax, as long as it’s not too crowded. The choux cream puff and latte were both really good. The toilet is clean, and drinking water is provided. Big thumbs up for their BYOB initiative. It’s great to see efforts to reduce waste!
Hm L — Google review
Beautiful cafe. Little swing set for the kids, but beware of ants. We enjoyed a sandwich and a grilled cheese with smoothies. You can also buy bread here. Parking is easy.

Delicious breakfast and lovely atmosphere, if you don’t like mosquitoes they will give you repellent :) Also, they only accept cash, so keep it in mind

We had a delightful breakfast here. Pampered with the soft bread and delicious sausages and salad. A great place to start our day in this beautiful environment. Thank you for your hospitality.

A fairly hidden but known cafe. Nice outdoor environment with busy indoor seatings. Food wise is fairly decent. Love the vibe. BBQ Pull Pork Sandwiches (125B) - nice Hot Cappuccino (75B) Matcha Roll Cake (105B) - pretty good, but too small for the price.

Kalae Cafe Nangnon Coffee is a charming spot located on Jetyod Road in Chiang Rai, Thailand. It's conveniently situated near budget accommodations, making it easily accessible for travelers. The cafe offers a wide variety of delicious coffees and delectable desserts that cater to even the most discerning palates.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a great breakfast at this cozy café! went for the fruit and pancakes, and were really impressed by the huge range of fresh fruit—seriously, there were like eight different kinds, all fresh. The pancakes were a bit different; they had a waffle-like texture and were smaller and thicker than your usual pancakes, but they were good slightly dry but good with a lot of maple syrup. The portion was generous, so we left completely satisfied. The coffee was excellent too, and the friendly service made the whole experience even better. I also liked how clean the bathroom was and how peaceful the atmosphere felt. Plus, the comfy chairs made it a perfect spot to unwind in the morning. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Best brunch spot we have found in Chiang Rai! Extensive menu, freshly prepared food and the smell of coffee roasting - amazing! We had french toast, chocolate waffle, eggs Benedict with a wholewheat bagel, and fresh fruit and it was all absolutely perfect. Service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Taryn G — Google review
We went there for Breakfast twice because it was really good! We got the two eggs with bread and also asked to get some Avocado on the side which was no problem. Everything was fresh and very delicious! The restaurant itself is very sweet and the atmosphere was really nice. All in all an amazing place, would definitely recommend coming here!
Pauline H — Google review
The restaurant is a nice place to eat. We had breakfast here. The staff greets everyone coming in. You order via an online card and they provide Wifi for you to connect. The food comes quick. I ordered a Bagel eggs benedict with a salad and a Blue milk. Its delicious, the bagel was crispy, the sauce was sour and sweet. you get a lot of food and the price is really good for the type of food you can order. The Blue butterfly pea tea with milk was decorated lovely and was very refreshing. There was music playing and they had big fans on the ceiling which kept the temperature pleasant. I would recommend this place.

Kalae Café Nangnon Coffee in Chiang Rai is a calm spot near the Clock Tower, perfect for a quick break during sightseeing. I had the sweet-and-sour rice, mango smoothie, and pandan juice — all fresh and flavorful. The café has a relaxed atmosphere, clean seating, and outdoor options. Best visited earlier in the day to avoid crowds and get your pick of seats. A tasty and peaceful stop in the city.

The Coffeenergy Chiang Rai is a cafe that offers delicious and healthy breakfast, lunch and brunch items. The service is always pleasant, but the place can get crowded so it's best to visit during less busy times. The prices are average for the area.
Amazing little coffee shop in the centre of Chiang Rai. Owner is friendly, atmosphere is great and food is amazing. After travels through Thailand getting proper coffee with a meal for reasonable price was very nice. My favourite is bacon with scrambled eggs and flamed grilled capaicum. Place opens at 7am and there is a seating capacity for 12 people. Fellow farang travellers don't miss this cafe when passing by.

Great Breakfast with high quality of food and fresh ingredients. Never disappointed with their food and service, if you are looking for a good breakfast and friendly service then this restaurant is your first choice. The location is in the city and you’re able to park your car on the street.

Food and drinks are alright. Shop is small but quaint. Service is good. Everything was good. They have a Cuban sandwich which is difficult to find in Chiang Rai. Again, decent tasting. Overall, I think it's worth a visit. Just don't expect to be blown over.
Eric T — Google review
Went for breaky and coffee. I was not disappointed. I had the cuban sammy it was yummy and cooked to perfection. Mom had the English and she said it was #2 breakfast in all of Thailand. Pretty good cup of Joe as well. Service was spot on.

Everything about the place, including the the workers there are amazing. The food was spot on perfect. My.latta was delicious and beautiful. The atmosphere is lovely. You must go here if you want a little but power packed breakfast.
Alicia R — Google review
A very cool institution with a pleasant atmosphere and very kind owners. The service was at the highest level. It was very tasty for us, I would like to single out the dish Bacon & scrambled eggs with flame grilled capsicum. The bacon and scrambled eggs in it were perfectly cooked and the bacon gave off a smokiness, you must try this dish.
Tetianа S — Google review
Coffeenergy in Chiang Rai is hands down the best spot for breakfast and brunch in town. The menu is a delightful blend of classic and unique offerings that cater to every palate. Their English Breakfast is a hearty start to the day, perfectly cooked with all the traditional elements you'd expect. The omelet with feta cheese is another highlight—fluffy, rich, and packed with flavor, it’s a must-try for anyone who loves a good omelet. To top it all off, their chai latte is simply delicious. It’s perfectly spiced, creamy, and just sweet enough to make it the ideal accompaniment to any meal. Whether you're looking for a place to kickstart your day or a cozy spot for brunch, Coffeenergy is the place to be in Chiang Rai. Highly recommended!

Bechegu Coffee @ King Mengrai Camp plant nursery is a hidden gem in Chiang Rai that has gained popularity among coffee enthusiasts. The cafe offers premium roasted coffee beans from Doi Chang, available in various roasting levels and flavors. Visitors can also enjoy a selection of bakery items while savoring their high-quality coffee.
As a coffee lover/barista, this is by far my favourite coffee shop in Chiang Rai! The location is a bit off the city centre (5 minutes by scooter from the golden clock) in a very chilled spot listening to birds and running water. Highly recommended if you want excellent/balanced quality coffee and skillful latte art 👌❤️

Ariel O — Google review
Hello Nomads, Sorry for my English. As I have been living in Chiang Rai for 3 years. And my wife and I really love hot coffee. We have the opportunity to try out all the famous coffee shops in Chiang Rai. We found that Bechegu Coffee is the best coffee shop in Chiang Rai. By evaluating these qualities: 1. Coffee beans from Doi Chang with high quality. They have all roasting levels to choose: soft, medium, dark and have various flavors. 2. The amount of coffee is quite much when compared to the price we paid. Americano Latte will be served in a 300 ml Loveramic mug of coffee that still remains strong and flavor. Price for one mug is only 50 baht (even other shops have the same price but they might serve coffee in just 160 - 200 ml cup) The other coffee shops that daring to serve in this quantity of mug or 300 ml, They are Agape and Starbuck. 3. The owner has over 400 acres of his own coffee farm on Doi Chang, which he controls all planting, production, selection, roasting, and self-brewing. 4. The shop atmosphere, even though it is not so luxurious, but warm atmosphere. You can spend all day long inside the cafe without knowing each hour outside that passes by. 5. It's one of the few cafes that have a high rating of 5 stars. They have very fast WiFi, as it is the cafe that in downtown, so you can sit back to spend your time and work. And the owner is about to open a new branch in Mae Yao Subdistrict behind Huay Pla Kang Temple. It is a shop that is located on the top of the small hill that has wind blows all year, with beautiful scenery, and, of course, the best coffee too. If any Nomad comes to Chiang Rai and misses to have some coffee here at Bechegu, that would be very disappointing.

Fantastic little coffee shop, would never have known it was there but introduced by a friend living in Chiang Rai. Superb atmosphere, Christian inspired decor and sarroundings. Buried under a collection of bushes and trees, for what feels like a really special atmosphere. Coffee was top drawer, and service very friendly.
Roger C — Google review
From farm to cafe, coffee here is best quality in town. If you are crazy about medium roasting, you'll scream here. Nice sour taste profile like juice. Cool. Hand drip also recommended.
이KyeongEun — Google review
Very hidden gems in ChiangRai, they offer two roasted profiles; medium and dark. So choose any that suits your taste. I goes for medium roasted beans and it go very smooth with micro milk foam that they poured into the cup. Dont let the look of the outside of the place change your mind, give tham a chance and you will love them.
Green G — Google review
Coffee is good quality, served with warm coffee beans tea. 45 Baht per cup avg., every ordering free a pot warm coffee beans tea.

Nice coffee but the cafés location is little out of the way. They have selection of 4 beans and also some cakes. The free tea as a welcome drink is a nice touch.

Nestled in Chiang Rai, Lalitta Café is a captivating dining spot that offers a unique experience. The entrance fee of 60 baht per person can be redeemed for food and drinks, making it an attractive option for visitors. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a mesmerizing display of flowers, plants, and mists that transport them to a fantasyland. The main café building boasts a charming wooden construction with expansive glass windows that provide stunning views of the surrounding garden.
A café is truly breathtaking, like a fairytale come true. This enchanting haven is filled with lush trees, vibrant shrubs and misty surroundings. The artificial mist adds an extra layer of magic to this captivating setting. Furthermore, this café proudly features its own mesmerizing waterfall. A must-visit destination in Chiang Rai that will leave you inspired. The entry fee is 60thb, which also entitles you to a discount on food.

Famous cafe. Yeah the atmosphere is good. But i think that was a cafe and enjoy the view in the cafe for free and we eat something there. But no, have to pay 60 baht/person to go inside the cafe. But yeah u can eat or no there. But i wont go there for twice because i have to pay 60 baht to enter the place.
Theresa I — Google review
For the insta crowd only. Sure it’s pretty enough, with quite beautifully displayed gardens, but it’s so obviously been created for those social media shots. The cafe itself feels like an after thought with not so good drinks and food. Another negative is you have to pay to enter.
Jason ( — Google review
Such a pleasant place to chill! Beautiful photo spots everywhere and the food is really delicious. There’s a small entrance fee, but it’d be great if it could be redeemed when you buy food or drinks. Overall, a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the scenery!
S L — Google review
Tourist attraction after the temples. 60 baht per person to enter plus food is way overpriced and not anything to brag about. It is truly an influencers dream though with lots of good places for photo/video if that’s what you’re looking for. There is also a a waterfall inside that you can see while you’re eating but it is a little loud. I would have preferred eating at a local joint where they don’t charge you to enter.
Christine A — Google review
Firstly, food, food are very large portions with very affordable price for its decoration. Taste? Not all are perfect but mostly representable for tasty and wonderful food. Secondly, service, no words to say for service....fine by me Atmosphere? Magical, mysterious, magnificent, peaceful and wonderful atmosphere with smoke which make more magical.
Shine S — Google review
I thought this was going to be a cafe/restaurant with a beautiful garden but it’s a garden attraction that you have to pay 60TB for, with a few cafe spots inside. It was very beautiful but very overcrowded, there was an ‘Instagram’ queue the whole time we were there. The food was nice but you pay more for where you are. The garden features are beautiful but you’d only go there to take pictures.
Millie B — Google review
Although there is an entrance fee to be paid, it is clear that the owners have committed considerable time and effort constructing these incredible gardens and they are worth a visit! We enjoyed an icy drink in comfortable seating at the café alongside the waterfall - the drinks are reasonably priced. The gardens exceeded my expectations so if you’re on the fence, definitely worth a stop.

Cheap and tasty breakfast recommended by my Chiang Rai local friend, this is a must visit! Right next to the clock tower, even if it’s outside on the roadside, it’s very comfortable! The menu is easy to understand and they served very fast.

I give 5 stars here , just perfect for a relaxing day and chill breakfast by the famous Chiangrai clock tower and the food here is just perfect for the price nothing to complaint except that they should open till evening, lol
Big B — Google review
Wonderful pop-up breakfast spot just beside the clock tower. We came here for 2 days straight. They are open early for breakfast and closes just before lunch. The menu, register and coffee machine are inside the yellow truck. Food is prepared on a makeshift kitchen and tables are provided on the side of the street. But everything is clean and organized. The food came really quick. My favorite was the fried dough (donuts) served with condensed milk. Their rice porridge was delicious and filling. I also loved their soft boiled egg, you can dip the fried dough in it as well. Their Vietnamese omellete is similar to an American breakfast and was very filling as well. I recommend you try out this place for breakfast. It never disappoints. Prices are very reasonable. Try their Thai tea as well.

Great place for local coffee & breakfast. Recommend soft-boil egg with Patonggo (donut stick). Pan egg is also good. The bread that serving together is so crispy. Hot tea is free for self-service.

A popular food truck at the clock tower. Its iconic yellow truck and red and white table cloth are recognised by locals. This street food truck offers a variety of breakfast (e.g. congee, chinese donut, pan fried egg and coffee). There are many tables available but it could be crowded. Food tastes good and the price is reasonable. Recommended.

The dining area has a pleasant countryside style and offers a range of delicious curries to accompany their fabulous stuffed rotis. One must-try dish is the Roti mataba gai, a chicken-stuffed roti perfect for dipping in the chunky sauce.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for roti lovers. Experience the authentic flavors of the traditional chicken/beef and bean curry, a beloved dish that I enjoyed with the best iconic bean curry. Yummy.

One of the best halal restaurants in Chiang Rai. The Roti is flaky and the curries are flavorful especially the Green Curry. If you are tired of northern food then this place will hit your spot. Their milk based drink is also good. Parking is available next to the store.

Probably my new favourite place on earth. The cheese roti with condensed milk was SO delicious. It’s a great dessert. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to come with condensed milk, but I asked for it sweet because I’ve seen it that way in Bangkok. So so delicious. The people there are lovely. My roti was ready in just a few minutes. It’s pretty big. Either get ready for a large dessert, or it’s perfect for sharing. 50 baht for most of the dessert rotis. They have sweet and savoury. Their curries look delicious. Open late and on Grab. They have a bathroom too.

The food was alright. If you wanna have a break from Thai dish and would like to try another cuisine in cheap price you can come and try. I got a set of roti with 3 different curries for 100THB. The only problem for me is that the place was hot (non air-con).

I was really excited to come hear because of all the amazing reviews, so maybe my hopes were too high or I didn’t order the right things. Chicken Murtabak was disappointing, with no chicken pieces (I literally didn’t see any and went to ask, maybe they had mixed up the order - they hadn’t). I would call it potato murtabak, rather. It’s wasn’t bad, but just not with chicken. The accompaning small spicy salad was the best part of the whole experience. It was awesome! Northern Thai sausage was very tasty, maybe little bit too dry. I’ve had juicer in other palaces. Hot milky tea was very good. That’s sth I wouldn’t miss. All in all the food was pleasant. I would come back another time to try sth else, as the prices are really affordable.

Best shop we visited during our trip. We almost decided not to enter due to the shop's proximity in a remote area with no other shops around. But, finally we went in and got a chance to enjoy the best indian roti and milk. They offer various options of roti and dishes. You can also eat the dishes with rice. Roti and a glass of warm milk was our favorite. The staff are also very friendly and helpful while we tried to decide what to order.

This is my happy place! After spending months in Thailand it's refreshing to take a break from typical Thai food. Roti Pa Yai is that break you are looking for. The flavors are all there and the service matches the greatness of the food! The place is clean and very reasonablely priced. Tasted like I was back in Dubai! The staff were attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. In Chiang Rai for a few more days and will definitely be stopping back for more!

Roti was very good and made to order. I ordered the chicken curry, beef dal and chicken Murtabak. The chicken curry had a very good flavor but too watery for my taste. I really like the beef dal. And was disappointed at the chicken Murtabak as it was filled with egg and vegetables and did not see the chicken in it. Overall food was good, i would come back. Prices are affordable. They do have an English menu. I only took pictures of the Roti section but they also offer thai food.

Blossom Restaurant, nestled near the serene Kok River in Chiang Rai, is a vibrant dining destination inspired by the lush flora of Northern Thailand. With its enchanting floral decor both indoors and on the outdoor terrace, it offers a delightful ambiance that reflects local Lanna culture. Renowned for serving what many consider to be the best breakfast in town, Blossom also features an extensive menu that includes traditional Thai lunches and international dinner options.
Wonderful buffet breakfast featuring Asian and Western style. Spectular river view! Gracious and very kind Thai staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Hreat service and quality with quantity of food a la carte. And big variety of breakfast buffette. 5 stars
GGV — Google review
While the restaurant offers some vegetarian options, it’s disappointing that several dishes still include fish sauce, which is not suitable for strict vegetarians or vegans. To access a wider selection, you need to ask for a secret vegan/vegetarian menu, but unfortunately, this menu lacks any indication of the spice level of the dishes, which would be helpful for diners. During our meal, we ordered a tofu dish that sadly arrived without any tofu. The green curry was quite spicy, so be prepared if you prefer milder flavors. I also ordered a vegan burger, but the waiter seemed unfamiliar with the concept of veganism and needed me to explain it—surprisingly, since the burger was clearly marked as vegan on the menu.Overall, the plant-based dishes felt uninspired, especially considering this is a five-star hotel. There’s definitely room for improvement to make the vegetarian and vegan offerings more consistent, flavorful, and better communicated by the staff.

Bossum Restaurant is considered to be the best breakfast restaurant in a 5-star hotel in Chiang Rai. The service and quality of food are excellent. The menu has a variety of local and international dishes, making it worth the price paid. The atmosphere of the restaurant is open and airy, with a clear view of the river.

BCM bakerycaferestaurant is a delightful spot that truly stands out for its commitment to quality and community. Known for their delicious breakfast offerings, they serve real New Zealand butter alongside homemade toast bread, ensuring a satisfying start to your day. Their menu features scrumptious treats like apple pie and croissants that are far from the typical fluffy varieties found elsewhere. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal place for both locals and travelers.
Note the restaurant signage has faded beyond recognition. Nice bakery cafe with nice buns. The price is reasonable as well. Good place to takeaway some food before a bus trip.

Beautiful food! We ordered a cinnamon bun, two iced teas and a banana cake for our quick breakfast. While it was slightly more expensive than I expected, they were all made perfectly and I'd definitely come again. The vibe was quite nice too and it's good that they have both an outside and an inside section, so you can choose to either observe the town centre or enjoy some peace with your food. We decided to have our food inside and then take our tea away. I'd love to return to try the Thai menu as there is a fair amount of western menu here.
Ehab A — Google review
Great bakery. Good breakfast (also comes with real butter from New Zealand, instead of that terrible Allowrie “butter-like product” that most breakfast places use). 🍞 They make their own toast bread, which is great. 🥧 🍎 yummy apple pie 🥐 awesome croissants. Not that fluffy empty stuff you typically get around here 🙂Very friendly staff 👶 apparently the bakery is run by a foundation for children and all the profits are donated ❤️ Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a bakery or western breakfast. Visited this place multiple times during our stay and always had a good experience. 👍

Love this place. Only draw back there are just two very comfortable soft seats which the staff occupy at least one. It really is a shame they don't think that the paying customer would like to sit there. Today one staff member is laid across one. Certainly not very professional.

The coffee and the food are GREAT. HOWEVER, the service is very slow. If you don't have more than 30 minutes for a coffee, you should think twice. Even though they take orders quickly, the coffees arrive quite late.

Calm atmosphere, ideal if you need a place to work from for a while. Outside and inside options. The coffee is actually really good - but the overall place gives you western coffee chain vibes from a menu perspective.
Víctor S — Google review
This was the first Doi Chaang branch I’ve visited, and it’s beautifully designed. A small shop immediately to the left from the entrance has coffee, mugs and more available for sale, and directly opposite this are large images telling the story of the company. The main cafe area flows from indoor seating to a beautiful garden with natural wood seating and a small waterfall. While the prices are higher than many small local shops, the quality of coffee is excellent, and the sizes are quite large. The affogato I ordered was a bit sweet, but still very well made. The staff were also very polite and helpful. If you’re looking for a place to relax for a while and enjoy a break from the local sights, this is perfect.

Lovely atmosphere, both indoors and out. If you want to relax, this is a calming place. The indoor seating is comfortable and well-spaced out. The outdoor seating is in a well-maintained courtyard with a pond, plants, and beautiful tables with umbrellas and comfortable chairs. Obviously, the coffee is delicious and matches the ambiance!

Beautiful coffee shop. The staff was very polite and courteous. I always love Doi Chaang coffee over Starbucks. Give it a try if you've never had it! We come here around 5pm, Located at Doi chang and the road to arrive here is quite challenging and steep. But once you come here it is worth a journey especially when the weather is nice because you can see the amazing view from the cafe. We ordered drinks here and it was very nice. Even though the menu is quite limited but The taste and the way they served us is very top notch. The price is also very reasonable considering the place status. The service is very nice and the staff is very helpful and stylish they also help to capture our pictures together. The environment is also great, cold and calming. The toilet and cafe are clean. Abonzo Paradise is absolutely worth a visit, a hidden gem nestled in the mountains with stunning panoramic views that will take your breath away. The peaceful atmosphere and fresh air make it a perfect escape from the city, especially if you’re looking to relax or focus during research or writing. 🌄📖 I stopped by while doing fieldwork, and the experience was unforgettable. I ordered a coffee and was pleasantly surprised when the kind staff offered me a small pack of macadamia nuts for free, such a warm and thoughtful gesture! 💚🌰 The view, the hospitality, and the cozy vibe all make Abonzo Paradise a place I’d gladly return to. Whether you’re working, traveling, or just passing through, it’s a beautiful and welcoming spot to recharge. 🌿✨

I really like Dirty. It has a unique flavor that is different from other places. The atmosphere is good. I went two days in a row. I went on a weekday when there weren't many people. I like that the staff can recommend coffee in detail.
พนา ล — Google review
I recently visited Abonzo Paradise Doi Chang, and as a light roast coffee lover, this place absolutely blew me away. The moment I walked in, I could smell the fresh aroma of coffee beans being roasted — clean, fruity, and slightly floral — exactly what you’d expect from quality Doi Chang beans. I ordered a light roasted pour-over, and it was perfect: bright, smooth, and naturally sweet with a hint of citrus. You can really taste the freshness and care they put into every cup. It’s not bitter at all, just beautifully balanced, the kind of coffee that makes you slow down and appreciate every sip. The atmosphere at Abonzo Paradise is just as impressive as the coffee. The café is surrounded by mountains and overlooks endless rows of coffee trees — it feels like you’re sitting inside a postcard. The open-air design lets you enjoy the cool mountain breeze and the sound of nature all around. It’s peaceful, calm, and so different from any café experience you’d get in the city. I sat there for hours, just sipping my coffee and watching the mist drift through the hills. If you’re someone who loves light roast coffee and breathtaking views, Abonzo Paradise is a must-visit. It’s more than just a café — it’s a full sensory experience that captures the heart of Doi Chang. Everything from the coffee to the scenery feels natural and genuine, making it one of the most memorable coffee moments I’ve ever had.

The open-air design of the restaurant allows for a constant breeze and offers stunning mountain views, which are particularly misty during the rainy season. This spot is ideal for those who aren't in a hurry and wish to enjoy good coffee and simple, satisfying meals. Bavarian Beer House in Chiang Rai offers a wide selection of beers, making it a great spot for beer enthusiasts. The Khao Soi burger and fries are also recommended, with the fries being particularly noteworthy. Despite its German theme, the restaurant surprisingly serves an exceptional Thai meal, even surpassing meals had in Thailand itself. The authenticity of the German-style food is vouched for by someone who spent a decade in Germany.
It was the best dormitory experience I had during my travels to Laos and Thailand. Everything was modern, clean and spacious. Breakfast was wonderful with the bread that the German owner baked himself. He and the personnel super friendly. I cannot comprehend the negative ratings from before at all. I stayed in a 7 people shared room. 2 excellent A/C available. Restaurant available on site. Rooms and bathroom clean. Breakfast included: 1 boiled egg, bread, cheese, cold cuts, fruits and coffee. Starts 8:30am. (didn't try breakfast because I left early) Location: 100m south from clock tower, in the bars area (Sunday night was quiet ). 7 minute walk to bus station. Room: 7 single beds. Very comfortable bed and blanket, pillow not so much.  No curtains available on bed but there are "walls" on the sides, room itself has blackout curtains. Just enough space to walk around the room. Bathroom: outside the room, 3 showers and 2 toilets (separate). No shampoo or shower gel available. 2 towels available (great quality, no deposit) Lockers: outside the room, only for small bag. You get a key but also can use your own lock. Date: 10/3/25

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Even if you want to stay for longer period, it's suitable. Stay mid July 2025. Location is really good. 2 mins walk from the beautiful clock tower. Owner and staff are super helpful and friendly. Plenty of car and bike rental, restaurants and massage within a 2 min radius. Family room is huge, there is at least 10ft from end of bed to wall. A wardrobe, huge samsung Android TV, dressing table, shelves, side table. Bed is super comfy, towels, soap & shampoo provided. There is a balcony too. Bathroom is huge as well with water heater and good pressure. AC is cold. This is a budget hotel so there isn't any minibar but it has a kettle and sachet 3-in-1 free coffee. FREE Breakfast. Freshly baked bread, cold cuts, an egg, some salad, tonnes of fruits & coffee. Photo shows platter for 3 pax. The family room is located at level 4, and other rooms on L3 & L4. Dorms on L2 and restaurant on Ground Floor. There is a pool table that anyone can use. Restaurant (Irish bar) serves really good vegan burgers, they have 3 options. Prices are very reasonable (I am Asian so, my budget isn't all that large :)) They have a lift but not suitable for people but you can have your luggage sent up with the lift. Rooms and toilets are super clean which is a really important consideration for us.

I had an incredible experience staying here and would rate everything 5/5! I booked last minute—just minutes before 8pm, which is the latest check-in time listed on Agoda—while on a bus from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, arriving at 5am the next day. Despite the late hour, Dennis, the owner, responded instantly and explained how I could check in on my own. To my surprise and delight, he was at the door when I arrived at 5:30am. Dennis, originally from Germany, is such a kind and welcoming host. He even bakes the bread served to guests and restaurant customers. Breakfast is included, and it was absolutely amazing. It came with generous pieces of freshly baked bread, egg, salad, fruit, cold cuts, and coffee—a perfect way to start the day. The atmosphere here is peaceful and relaxing, which made me decide to extend my stay for a much-needed rest day. The restaurant area is beautifully decorated with a charming European vibe, adding to the overall cozy experience. Dennis’ hospitality, great conversation while he baked bread, and his attention to detail truly made my stay memorable. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in Chiang Rai—you won’t regret it!

Very popular breakfast shop, have to wait in queue if you come a bit later! The atmosphere is great, the grandpa and grandma are both cute and super nice (grandma speaks perfect English!!), and the deco makes it a shop that stands out from other local Thai restaurants. The food is, however, is bit pricy. (Our order was 470 baht for 2 people) The taste is decent but not wowing, the coffee comes with LOTS of foam 😂 The waitress that served the wrong food in the beginning, and couldn’t tell which one was latte or cappuccino when we asked, slightly unprofessional 😅 Overall it’s a nice place to visit, plenty of choice for breakfast but not the shops that I would come back again and again.

Wanted to like this place, but the experience fell short. The service was really slow—felt like they forgot our order, even though the place wasn’t busy at all. I even overheard the chef blaming the staff, which didn’t feel great as a guest. Food was just okay. Some creative touches, like using oatmeal for congee, but overall… meh. The team has potential, but operations definitely need improvement.

This place came recommended by a friend, so I decided to give it a shot today. I arrived around 8:15 AM and found about three tables ahead of me. I stared at the menu like I was trying to crack a secret code—kept circling back and forth until I realized I had no idea what to order because everything felt kind of... all over the place. Honestly, the menu gave off major "same-same-but-different" vibes. Nothing really stood out as a signature dish, but eventually, I figured something out and ordered four dishes. Then the waiting game began. The first dish took a solid 20 minutes to arrive. Yep—twenty. We were a party of two, and we finished that dish before the next one even thought about showing up. Same thing happened with the rest—dish by dish, slowly emerging from the kitchen like they were on a pilgrimage. You’d start to wonder if they forgot your food. Each plate came with a complimentary side of “please be patient.” So I tried to stay positive: maybe the dishes were super complex? Maybe the staff were just swamped? Maybe the tables before me ordered the entire menu? But still, the pacing was... unacceptable. For a breakfast place, this slow of a service only works if the food is mind-blowingly amazing. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t that amazing. We didn’t even order any items marked as “15-minute wait” on the menu, and still found ourselves doing the time warp. At some point—20, maybe 30 minutes in—I couldn’t help but wonder: “What exactly is the vibe of this place?” Also, small side note: when the first dish came, the server brought just one set of cutlery—for two people. Not the end of the world, we just grabbed another set from the nearby station. But then, for each subsequent dish, a different server showed up and brought another set of cutlery... every time. Like hey, we love the attention to utensil detail, but where’s the actual food? There’s also a self-service water station right by the cashier. Great idea in theory—except it turns into a mild obstacle course when people are trying to pay and others are dodging them with full cups of water. Maybe a bit more thought into the layout could help avoid accidental water jousting? Now to the important part: the food. It wasn’t bad! But was it worth the painfully slow service? Nope. Sorry. I came, I waited, I chewed (eventually), and I left still wondering: What exactly is the vibe about this place? Meh.

Nestled conveniently near Chiang Rai's bus station 2, Alexta Coffee is a delightful stop for anyone arriving in or departing from this charming city. This café takes pride in sourcing its coffee beans directly from local farmers, ensuring top-notch quality with every cup. Visitors rave about the rich flavors, especially the Thai Geisha variety and their delicious cappuccinos. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to unwind or even get some work done while enjoying a peaceful ambiance complemented by pleasant background music.
Nice quiet cafe, with great taste. I was in Chiang Rai on the lookout for some great coffee and stumbled across this. The coffee has great taste, I ordered a hot cappuccino and loved it. Would recommend if you are in Chiang Rai, you can also work there as the atmosphere is peaceful, with nice background music.

First time trying a Thai Geisha, was really nice! A good selection of coffee to choose from, the smell of the roastery next door was great! If the barista was a bit more engaging and spoke a bit about the coffee , it'd be 5 stars. Wasn't too keen on the pop music either, but that's me being picky! Over all, good coffee and I would return.

Art gallery
Cafe
A Cafe and small art gallery held in a 100 year old house which was built in 1917 and designed by a Canadian missionary doctor. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating areas with a great vintage atmosphere that matches the building. The coffee was surprisingly good and reasonably priced with a variety of beans to select from. There are some simple foods you can get at the shop as well. Some seats came with electric plugs so you can do your work on a laptop. The art gallery is nicely lit with natural and indoor lighting. The art works rotated depending on the theme and some are for sales. Overall highly recommended for those who want a tranquil quiet place to work or enjoy the arts. You can park on the roadside just in front of the store.

It is a cozy place to fulfill your mind with art. The two stories building sets inside the big trees. Ground floor serves coffee, single dish meal, and also Mango with sticky rice. The staff are very friendly and happy to recommend you. Upper floor there will be exhibition and art gallery. Mostly recommend!
Rossawan K — Google review
Very happy to learn that there is such an art centre in the heart of Chiang Rai. Art Gallery with various exhibitions, lovely coffee house and a couple of banquet rooms along with a lovely garden with a fireplace - truly enjoyed each and every moment of my visit there.

Drink coffee surrounded by art pictures in a historic building. This place hosted often exhibitions, which take place on the upper floor. Nice big trees in the garden, spending shadow all year long. The coffee is tasty and if you like, you can order some cake along.
Klaus — Google review
A beautiful old building houses an exhibition and some art pieces of local artist. The place recently serves Khaosoi and Mango sticky rice. I especially like Khaosoi because it isn’t too thick as in Chiangmai but not too watery as in other places in Chiangrai. Personally I’m not a big fan of Mango Sticky rice so I cannot tell if it’s good or not (but other people said it was one of the best here). The barista was busy during peak time and wasn’t polite when taking order, but he still did his job well.
Thienchai C — Google review
Very impolite barista! I read the same review months ago and it must be the same guy. He must be the owner or related to the owner because he's still here amidst the bad review towards him. It's a pity cause it is a nice cafe. They preserved most of the old and historical stuff of the house. It's just very hot inside though. The dimsum was the best I had in Thailand!

This place has drinks and art gallery. On the 2rd floor you could see paintings by high school students and artists in Chiang rai. For the drinks, I like peach tea the most, Thai milk tea is too plain.

In Am's Kitchen is a highly recommended breakfast spot that offers generous portions of tasty dishes at a fair price. With a diverse menu including rice soup, salmon avocado toast, pancakes, and Vietnamese set meals, there's something for everyone. The personal favorites are the delectable salmon toast and fluffy pancakes. To enhance the flavors even more, maple flavored syrup is provided on the table. The broth is thick and can be seasoned with salt and pepper for added savoriness.
Great little place to have breakfast! It has western and asian options. I loved the pancakes w scrambled eggs and cheese. And the mocha iced coffee. Orange juice was also good. The ambience is perfect, wood structure sorrounded by plants, and the owner is pretty kind. I wish I can have a place like this close to home.

This is located inside a hotel compound. It was off peak season so we had a quiet spot. It is an outdoor space with garden feel. Would be warm during June/ July. Service is good. We would rate food and drinks as average, depending on individual preference.
Ling S — Google review
We came here for breakfast. It is one of a few breakfast places that are open before 8am. The place was rustic in style with outdoor seating and ambience of plant life. The menu has a diverse list of options both western, Thai, and fusions. My wife ordered a French style eggs and pancakes. I had a minced pork with fried eggs. Both were very delicious. They have cofeea, mochas, capachinos, etc. Orange juice is fresh squeezed. I would entirely recommend this resturant for a relaxing breakfast. The price for both of us was only 240 baht. I was amazed at the quality to price point!
Terry D — Google review
This is one of the best breakfast we had in Chiang Rai. It was a bit far from out hotel/the clock tower but we rented a motorcycle so we drove here. It is small breakfast place set up in a backyard with many plants so we enjoyed our breakfast al fresco. We had their ABF set and one-pan egg set, both served with freshly squeezed citrus juice and hot americano. The juice was another level, it was sweet and refreshing! Our coffee beans were grounded as we wait and our coffee was so good! The food serving was huge and very filling, worth the price. Service was quick and the two young servers/owners were very nice to us.
Belle — Google review
Very good - huge portions, fair price, satisfying taste. We had a little of everything: rice soup, salmon avocado toast, pancakes, Vietnamese set with a pan and a bun. My personal favorites are salmon toast and pancakes. Maple flavored syrup is on the table to enhance it even more. Broth was thick, I added some salt and pepper to taste to make it a bit more savoury. All ingredients are fresh, delivery is appetizing, service impeccable. Setting is very cozy and decorated in a Victorian style - fresh flowers, vases, peaceful music. Local cats join occasionally to keep company. It's a popular spot among local medical workers it seems. Very recommended for breakfast. If you like your eggs runny, ask while ordering.
Ksenia K — Google review
Ate here as a family for dinner and it felt like eating at home. Games to keep the kiddos occupied, lots of other families eating here. And the brisket was probably the best I have ever eaten. Perfectly spiced and slow cooked to perfection. Kids liked the salad, rices, Korean pork bites. I think this is typically a breakfast spot- so make sure you give it a try for dinner too.

The coffee is good, though a little pricey at 80 THB. But the reason why I am giving a one star rating is the shocking amount of disposables used. Everything my cake and coffee is served on - cup, plate, fork - is either paper or plastic. Why, Blessed Cafe? Didn't you get the memo about killing the environment? You can't even get free plastic bags at the Supermarkets in Thailand anymore. What is worse is that there are ceramic cups and plates in the cafe. Why aren't these used if they are available?

It's a pity that I wish there was peach tea. ❤️😊🍑 (Original)

(Translated by Google) A chic breakfast cafe designed in a Modern Minimal style with clean white tones. and comes with the gimmick of serving food in the local Lanna style like Khantoke. The origin of the shop's name comes from the word "ngai" which in northern dialect means morning. Therefore, the restaurant focuses on serving breakfast. But actually they serve food all day. The highlight of the restaurant will be the various breakfast menus. It comes as a Khantoke set. Cute decorations There are both savory food sets such as ham, sausage, and soft-boiled eggs. and sweet foods such as bread with various fillings In addition to sweet and savory food There are also drinks, both modern menus like lattes and espresso, or traditional coffee, which are equally delicious. Nice folks, nice ambient background music which makes for good atmosphere. No loud annoying Thai music to try and scream over. A good cafe to relax at or have an alcoholic drink in the evening. Lots of parking. Reasonable prices.

Five star and highly recommended! Very cosy place with great and friendly service from the girls behind the bar who make you a decent cocktail and have great sense of humor.
