Bar
Nestled in a narrow, rustic space since 1978, Last Dollar Saloon is a laid-back bar offering over 60 types of beer. Despite its unassuming appearance, the allure of the awe-inspiring mountain views from its rooftop deck is undeniable. Originally built in 1899 as the Fashion Clothing Company, it transitioned into a bar after four years. With an adults-only policy and no dogs allowed, this historic downtown spot provides a bit of history along with libations.
The best drinks in town and at a great price! Staff was friendly, got to meet some locals. The rooftop bar had the best views. We stopped here every day while we visited Telluride!
Jessica F — Google review
Anyone who gives less than 5 stars are out of their minds. This place is great. The roof top is a great place for a mid-day beer. Their choice of music is perfect. I'm visiting from Las Vegas and spent the day doing "Telluride" things, and this was a perfect spot to just relax and have a great beer before heading back to campsite.
Matthew N — Google review
Great place to start the evenings. Rooftop was nice. Not too busy for a Sunday. Lots of people brining in pizza from Browndog next door! Views are perfect too.
Brenden C — Google review
Pretty standard saloon experience but our beers were cold!
Jeremy Y — Google review
Eric was fantastic—his drinks were spot on. Not sure where the bad reviews came from, because this bar is an easy 5/5. Even coming from downtown Chicago with all the ‘upscale vibes,’ I’d choose this place every time.
Ernesto G — Google review
Horrible customer service. My mom is new to drinking beer so learning what she likes. She asked which draft was the lightest tasting. Bartender was extremely rude/inconvenienced that he had to give information on the beers they offer. I then asked if she could sample one and he said we were stealing his money as he had to pay for the beer we tasted. I could have been understanding had he not already accosted my mom for simply asking which draft beers were lighter. I walked out, would not give that man a damn penny. Not surprised to see they are rated below a 4.0 on here and most negative reviews are the same thing, horrible staff. It’s too bad as this used to be a go to. The guy was acting like he owns the place which if he does, that’s even worse to me. Pack up and move to a secluded area as you shouldn’t be interacting with people for any reason. If he’s not the owner, then he’s definitely trying to sabotage this business.
R L — Google review
Beware – I would never step foot in Last Dollar Saloon again. Unfortunately, my friends and I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this bar. We were enjoying the rooftop with drinks in hand, waiting for two more friends to join us, when a man—either the bartender or owner—approached us in an extremely rude and aggressive manner. He demanded that we either buy more drinks or leave, claiming others were waiting for rooftop seating. In reality, every one of us had already purchased drinks, and there was no line or visible group waiting for seats upstairs. The behavior was shocking, especially in a town like Telluride, which is usually known for its laid-back, friendly vibe—typical of most ski towns. Even nearby customers expressed their disbelief at how we were treated. I’m not sure if this was a situation of racism or a man who has serious anger issues. I truly hope the ownership reevaluates how they treat their patrons, or that new management steps in to create a more welcoming environment. As it stands, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
Natasha M — Google review
We can in for a drink and to watch NBA finals game. Bartenders were completely non responsive. Had to order our own drinks at bar and then bring them to table ourselves with our elderly companions. Despite the fact that the stuffy bartenders were bringing water and drinks to tables all around us. Never asked if we needed anything or if our drinks were ok. Wouldn’t go again, would hit up the neighboring Brown Dog Pizza who had much friendlier staff. Horrible service. And as a person who had worked in service industry I can tell you that these people need to get into action. Every friendly hello and table service is several more dollars in your pocket.

Tomboy Tavern is a trendy dining option located at Telluride Ski Resort, offering American cuisine along with a variety of cocktails and craft beer. The tavern is popular for its lively apres-ski scene, providing fireside tables and outdoor seating right at the base of the slopes.
Fabulous service from Pablo. Very efficient, kind, and attentive. Atmosphere is lovely either indoors or outdoors. The rustic flooring is gorgeous. The booths have wonderful curtains and decor. Bathrooms are very clean. Food was plated beautifully. Overall if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Thanks Pablo!
Heather C — Google review
We’ve been twice this trip and the food was okay both times. He liked his Caesar - although the croutons weren’t anything to write home about. My wings were also okay. I knew they’d be coming out breaded, and they were. Fairly heavily. The meatloaf, mashed, asparagus, and carrots on a subsequent night started out pretty good, but after a few bites, the tomato-based sauce became a bit overbearing. (We both thought it was supposed to have had a mushroom/brown sauce v tomato-based 🤷🏻‍♀️). Yet the mashed and other veggies were well-prepared and tasty. Service wasn’t overly-impressive. Nice. But as experienced in several establishments, wait-staff doesn’t seem to be geared-up and on their game. And I get it. It’s easy and fun to hustle to meet the demands of a busy restaurant, but when there’s a lull, it’s just as easy to become distracted with co-workers while losing track of time/table visits resulting in poor service.
KP — Google review
Excellent choice—five stars without hesitation. I ordered the Tomboy Burger, cooked perfectly to medium just as I requested, along with the seasoned fries. The fries were exactly what you hope for: a crispy exterior with a soft, pillowy inside. Our server struck the right balance—attentive without being overbearing. Service made the experience smooth and enjoyable. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio since the weather was beautiful, and it didn’t disappoint. The view of the changing leaves made for a great backdrop to the meal. Yes, the food is a touch on the pricier side, but that’s to be expected in a vacation town. The portions were generous and felt well worth it. Highly recommend Tomboy Tavern if you’re in the area.
Sean A — Google review
My wife and I dined at Tomboy in Telluride tonight, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. I ordered a hamburger cooked medium-rare, and it was perfect—juicy and delicious, exactly as I requested. The fries that accompanied it were outstanding, crispy and flavorful. My wife chose the kale salad with portobello mushrooms, and she thoroughly enjoyed it; the combination of ingredients was delightful and fresh. A special shout-out to our server, Sullenny, who was gracious and attentive throughout our meal, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, Tomboy exceeded our expectations with its fantastic food and excellent service. We can't wait to return!
Juan B — Google review
Location is perfect. Sun shining on your face after some morning runs, the burger and bloody is a great combination, or maybe wings and champagne? The service is spot on and the food comes out quickly even when busy.
Alex P — Google review
Great Location, Decent Food, Inconsistent Service Tomboy Tavern has a lot going for it—prime location at the base of the mountain, a fun après-ski vibe, and a solid drink menu. It’s definitely one of the more lively spots in Mountain Village, and on a sunny day, the patio is hard to beat. That said, our experience was a bit mixed. The food was okay—not bad, but not particularly memorable for the price point. The burgers and fries were decent, but some dishes felt like they came out rushed or under-seasoned. For a place that looks upscale from the outside, we expected a bit more consistency in the kitchen. The bigger issue was the service. While our server was friendly, things were slow and a bit disorganized. We had long waits for drinks and the check, even though it didn’t seem overwhelmingly busy at the time. It felt like the staff was stretched thin or not fully tuned in. All in all, Tomboy Tavern is worth stopping by for a drink or a casual meal with friends, especially if you want to sit outside and soak in the views. Just go in with moderate expectations and a bit of patience. 3 stars for the atmosphere and location, with room to improve on food and service.
HiveWellMedia — Google review
We loved this place so much we came back 3 times in one trip! The truffle fries are perfect, the huckleberry mule is the best mule I’ve ever had, and the boozy hot chocolate was amazing. I also highly recommend the chili and the bratwurst. I will 100% be back

Our bartender Staci was awesome! Super friendly and talkative, those are hard to come by now. Made a killer bloody as well! Definitely come sit a his bar!

Pizza restaurant
Pizza Takeout
Brown Dog Pizza is a casual eatery offering a diverse selection of pizza styles, including Detroit-style pies, along with local draft beer. Co-owner Jeff "Smoke" Smokevitch trained under the 11-time World Pizza Champion at the International School of Pizza in San Francisco, ultimately winning accolades for his Pan Pizza. The restaurant's name pays homage to the owners' chocolate Labradors and has garnered impressive awards, including being named Best Pizza in the World at a competition in Italy.
Brown Dog was hopping on a weekday night, but they were able to seat us quickly on their small but dog-friendly patio. The table was unfortunately pretty dirty even after they wiped it for us. The Detroit style pizza more than made up for everything though! Some of the best I’ve ever had! My partner really loved her gluten free pizza. Friendly service.
Ryan W — Google review
I get it. There are other places to get a drink and something to eat in Telluride. But when we’re in town, this is our go to. Consistently good food - sandwiches, salads, and pizza - there’s nothing bad on the menu. There’s outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, ample table seating, and the bar is a great place to watch sports on one of the seven tvs. The prices are reasonable and the draft beer selection is good. I guess the main reason we keep coming back is the service. These folks work so darn hard! This joint is jumping on festival weekends. But they never lose their friendly composure. We should try other places, but we’re back for our third visit to Brown Dog this weekend. Keep up the great work!
Janet A — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brown Dog Pizza really knows how to make great pizza! The taste was amazing, and the service was excellent. Travis was our server, and he did an amazing job — very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is great — a lively bar area for social people, cozy booths for private groups, and a nice balcony, perfect for couples. Definitely an awesome place to eat in Telluride!
V M — Google review
We struggled with places being closed during the off season, so we ended up coming here twice while in Telluride. Between our visits, my husband and I shared: - Chester's Tail Wagger, Classic Pizza (seasonal) - Little Rose, Detroit Style Pizza - Gold Hill, Detroit Style Pizza - Southwestern BBQ Chicken, Detroit Style Pizza We really enjoyed everything we had here. The seasonal pizza was definitely my favorite followed by the Little Rose. They have a really good Detroit style crust. I tried my mom's Gold Hill on a classic crust and actually thought that pizza was better on the classic crust instead of the Detroit. I wish the BBQ pizza had BBQ sauce as the base instead of red sauce with just a drizzle of BBQ. The red sauce was a bit weird to me on a BBQ pizza, but it was still good. I just recently discovered they also have locations in Denver, but it's called Blue Pan Pizza so maybe I'll be back sooner than I thought!
Jacqueline T — Google review
Our first time in Telluride and did my research about must try restaurants. Brown Dog Pizza did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. We had spinch artichoke dip, garlic knots , wings (garlic parmesan & barbeque) and of course, their famous Detroit Style Pizza! We ordered half/half of Brooklyn Bridge & 313. It was sooo good. Generous toppings & perfect crust! Great service from Brock too!
Karla D — Google review
We came in late one evening after the kitchen was closed, but the bartender got us delicious slices, so good that we came back the next day. I’m still thinking about the Detroit style pizza & wish I lived within driving distance. The Greek salad was yummy, too. The Detroit style was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had & I LOVE pizza! Excellent, friendly service!
Jodi D — Google review
Brown Dog Pizza is great. Classic ski town pizza shop. Pizza is delicious. We got a salad to start with some homemade balsamic dressing that was really good. Our server made us feel welcome and was quick to bring our drinks and food. We did have to wait about 30 minutes for a table but we sat and had a drink next door.
Jeb M — Google review
The food is amazing. We drive all the way from Farmington, NM to eat here at least 2-4 times a year. The Bruschetta is delicious. The salad was fresh, crispy and tasty. The pizza's are absolutely perfect. We love coming here and the staff is amazing. Our waiter was friendly and courteous. We definitely will keep coming again and again. Thank you Brown Dog Pizza for a memorable lunch.

Telluride Brewing Company is a craft beer enthusiast's dream, with two locations near the Telluride Ski Resort and the airport. The brewpub offers a cozy atmosphere to enjoy their delicious beers brewed from snowmelt. Visitors can also indulge in tasty snacks from the in-house kitchen, such as the popular Beer-chos topped with Telluride Brewing Company beer cheese and house-ground beef.
Tastebuds overload! If you are passing through Telluride definitely stop here. Go taste some coffee down the street and then enjoy some beer here and order some food from next door. You will not be disappointed. Plan to stay a while and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. We wish them luck with their new TV’s and Sunday football!

The bartender was really nice! I had a flight at the line standalone brewery in Telluride, but I only liked 1 of the 4 beers. 2 were fine, and 1 I didn’t care for. The place was tiny too. I was pleased they had a little fended outdoor area which helped. I’m glad I went but I probably wouldn’t go back
Michael D — Google review
Would love to give this place a better review than I am. Customer service was not there - When I said “what’s a good lager” she said the Telluride Pilsner is a good one 🤷‍♀️ - (note: 3 lagers on the board) I feel if I were a male in this location I would have had great service. I’m a sucker for merch… she offered nothing. When I inquired on the Telliride beers to take with me. All she said was the “prices vary”- SELL ME SOMETHING- Perhaps it’s because it’s a revolving door of people; perhaps it’s because we aren’t local;- I don’t know… but the customer service sucked! The customer service review is a 1 ( only because she was nice to my husband) The beer review is a 5. Perhaps the beer review would be higher if I stayed to enjoy more. But the vibe here was not enjoyable at all. There are flights available, I just wasn’t offered this…. Others were told- it’s not posted- so if you visit and you want to try many things… flights are available. Food not served here, available next door Beer to go - but I wouldn’t know the prices, when I inquired she just said… it varies. I felt like I was Interrupting her “locals only vibe” so I just quit asking- will spend all the money set aside for this visit at the Ouray Brewery! No bathroom in the building- go across the street and turn left We learned a lot about the bartender from her conversations with others (sorry about the loss of your grandpa and Hope you have a safe flight) When my first beer was done it took her 4.5 minutes to get over to see if we needed another- there were 7 other people aside from us. Didn’t feel welcome and Will NOT be back
J H — Google review
Love this place! A Telluride institution and I always make it a point to stop in when I visit. Kickass lager. Dangerous spirits!
Josiah R — Google review
We were really looking forward to visiting this brewery. My girlfriend and I drove all the way from Breckenridge to camp and spend the day here, and the main plan was to enjoy a few beers together. Unfortunately, she was not allowed to order because her driver’s license is from another country. We were excited to support this place, but instead left with a very negative impression. I hope the brewery can reconsider their policy in the future so international visitors don’t feel excluded. This happen 8/21 at 5,20pm.
Pedro G — Google review
My wife and I visited Telluride Brewing Company recently and really enjoyed the place! The atmosphere was low key and everyone was laid back. It was a nice vibe compared to the tourist trap vibe of the Town of Telluride. We sat outside and enjoyed our beers while watching people come and go. The See Forever Hazy paired well with the warm sunshine. It seemed like most people were local or at least local to Colorado. When you get tired of the nonsense of downtown Telluride drop by the Telluride Brewing Company to experience the authentic side of Colorado. The people are friendly and the beer is great, what more can you ask for?
Brent N — Google review
Tasty beer and friendly staff. I had a Kashmir IPA and whatever my wife had was good too. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm weather. Check this place out for the beer, the best we had in Telluride.
Manny P — Google review
Awesome small town brewery with a big presence. Easily the best brewery in Colorado. Really cool, old school brewery where the taproom is incorporated into the brewing area. Something many breweries have lost. This brewery taproom doesn’t serve many but the brewery itself easily serves the entire state.

Allred's Restaurant is a top dining destination in Telluride, offering an elevated and contemporary American dining experience. Situated at over 10,000 feet, the restaurant provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the town of Telluride through its immense floor-to-ceiling windows. The menu features exquisite, locally-sourced ingredients that are creatively crafted into dishes such as elk, beef, lamb, seafood, and home-grown vegetables.
Not very busy for 7:30 pm reservation on Sunday of MDW. Even with crowds from the film festival in town. Service was fantastic, I loved the cauliflower soup, the surf & turf and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Can’t beat the gorgeous views. Gondola ride up to the restaurant is also a lot of fun.

First of all… what a view!!! Staff was amazing, professional and personable. The bartender made us feel welcome while we waited for our table. He also made a drink to pair perfectly with my husbands meal when requested. We had a slight issue with our meal and it was handled professionally and the manager made sure everything was right. I was very impressed with the level of customer service we received. The food was delicious. This was the highlight of our trip and I highly recommend them!
Jessica F — Google review
It was a special celebration, and this staff was amazing! Maddison the Manager, Ana our Host, Rafa the BackWaiter, Lance the Sommelier, and Patrick our Server went above and beyond to make our night special!! I’m sorry if I missed anyone because this Staff really is great! The food was delicious and served hot! The drinks incredible too. The desserts were also unique but I was so full from what we feel were Top-Chef produced dishes. The Rack of Lamb was tender and cooked perfectly ! If you come to Telluride just the atmosphere and view at this restaurant alone makes it worth it but then you get all of the above too!!! Wow!
Lori — Google review
Such a great experience here! Was originally sitting at the bar waiting for the rest of my party and they asked if I wanted to get the last window spot and it ended up being the best seat in the house. What a view! For being a restaurant people go to mostly for ambiance the food was spectacular and off of a prix fixe menu with add ons available at an extra charge. Big portions so you really don't need anything else. Everyone enjoyed their dishes but highlights for me were the cauliflower soup, lamb and the chocolate mousse dessert. For the lamb one wasn't as cooked as the others (true rare side) but not a biggie. I understand it's a high end restaurant but would have also appreciated more bottles of wine under $200.
Katie B — Google review
We've been to Allred's multiple times across a decade at this point. The views are always incredible and the decor inside is on point for the mountain aesthetic. Service in the past, and on this trip, was hit or miss and I'd say the food experience varies as well. With that said, our most recent visit in June 2025 was to the bar which had great views and decent drinks. Allred's is popular for a reason, but I value it's views/vibes primarily.
Jeremy Y — Google review
Amazing views!! Food was good. Cocktails didn’t particularly like. Price a little high.

The view is amazing and we wanted to try this place but the food is pretty meh and not too impressed with their cocktails. The steak wasn’t good quality for waygu and the price. Steak was tough and over cooked and really tasted nothing like I expected. Overall the food left a lot to be desired unfortunately 😑

Bar
The New Sheridan Historic Bar, located in Telluride, is a popular spot for both locals and visitors. Dating back to 1895, this iconic watering hole offers a lively atmosphere, games like pool and foosball, and nightly drink specials. The bar also features a limited but delicious menu. Together with the Chop House restaurant, known for its fine dining experience and classic dry-aged steaks, the New Sheridan Hotel is a must-visit destination in Telluride.
This is one of the oldest Salon's still in existence out west. Located within the New Sheridan hotel, right on the main strip of Telluride, the inside of this establishment is beautiful. It has a very historic feel inside, the bar is beautiful, and there is even a game room in the back. This bar is a highly recommended visit while in Telluride.

Blonde haired lady the first night was FANTASTIC but the second night the man not so great . Treated my father in law pretty rude, thank goodness some people from Austin, Texas took up for him to the bartender (he is 79) but overall pretty cool experience … again I hate that I don’t know her name but she was great ! I think she has worked there for a while .. she knew the locals so I hope she knows she is appreciated.
Sarah M — Google review
While the interior is beautiful and moody, I can't say we had a positive experience at the New Sheridan bar. We were able to grab a seat at the bar with no wait, but got a pretty intense review of our IDs before any service. I agree it is fair to review IDs however is needed, but it's the only place in Colorado during our week and half trip where there was hesitation so not sure what the issue was. The drinks themselves we received were weak and overly sweet and we expected more impressive liquor/whiskey options to match the historic bar setup/vibes.
Jeremy Y — Google review
Beautiful, historic building. The bar is so well built, amazing wood work and tin ceiling tiles. $5 Jack Daniel’s in Telluride, that was not expected! Bar tender was very friendly and great service. It got busy as it started to rain and it was a very fun crowd with great energy.
Shaggy 5 — Google review
Best brunch of the trip. Didn’t have to wait , great menu options and was DELICIOUS.
Amy W — Google review
First time in Telluride. We had a few drinks on the rooftop bar with Nico who is spectacular and had some great stories to tell and then we proceeded downstairs to try the Elk! It was spectacular and so was our bartender, Ruben.
Ginger S — Google review
While the ambiance of the bar is undeniably striking—thoughtfully designed and full of character—the bar program falls flat. The bartender’s execution of a simple Old Fashioned revealed a concerning lack of foundational cocktail knowledge, resulting in a drink that was both unbalanced and uninspired. A venue with such promise deserves a bar staff capable of matching its aesthetic with equal craft.
Kevin H — Google review
The drink prices are extremely reasonable. Atmosphere is great. I'm only knocking it down a star because the pool tables are too close together, and it's extremely difficult to play pool here. You are constantly dodging other patrons when lining up your shot.

Great spot right next to the gondola in town. Our waiter was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Cocktails were good! Highly recommend the duck

Stumbling upon Cosmopolitan Bar and Restaurant at the eleventh hour of happy hour felt like a serendipitous win. The ever-gracious hostess, the true star of the evening, swept us in at the last moment, seating us with a warmth that set the tone for impeccable service. With a well-timed order, we snagged a salmon volcano roll alongside shrimp and calamari—both decent, neither dazzling. The food? Let’s just say it plays it safe. No culinary fireworks, no bold flavors to write home about—just your run-of-the-mill fare that neither offends nor excites. If you’re after an unforgettable gastronomic experience, you might want to cast your net elsewhere. But if a front-row seat to the gondola’s graceful glide is what you seek, then by all means, sit back, sip, and soak in the view.

Scallops as an appetizer were phenomenal. Steak cooked great really amazing salmon and a delicious warm vanilla bundt cake.

Excellent and friendly service from this very busy restaurant and staff. Miriam, at the bar, was top notch. This place is popular and you should make a reservation but if not, their outdoor desk is standby as is there small bar inside. The bread is amazing. The Tuna smoked in the plate was very unique and delicious ! The chopped salad was also incredible. Check them out, You’ll be happy you did!

Overall a great first experience at Cosmo. They have a bar and fine dining area, but neither were stuffy. Great service and the food was excellent. I had the surf and turf and my dad had the halibut.

Our best dinner at telluride so far. Service was excellent. We loved the eclectic menu. Even the bread was exceptional. Tried the calamari and volcano roll as appetizers. Then the duck, surf and turf, filet, and salmon. All were excellent, and the picky eaters cleaned their plates.

Excellent food and a great vibe. Jeff made our dining experience very relaxing and Damon helped us pick the perfect wine. One of our favorite places in Telluride. Will be back again. 😊
Stephanie C — Google review
I ordered the surf and turf and I thought it was very good! The reason for 3 stars was bc of our waiter. However, management worked hard to fix the issue. I didn’t like that it took awhile to get service even with our reservation and I finally decided to ask the waiter if we were going to get some of the delicious bread that I read about on previous reviews. He said yep it’s coming right up and he went over to the bread station and grabbed the cut loaf with his bare hands and sloppy tossed it on a plate. The bread had a great texture, but it was not warm it was cold inside like it had been frozen and not warmed enough. My companion also asked for no oyster mushroom sauce on his steak and the waiter said it was very good though and he would put it on the side. The reply was no thank you don’t even put it on the side . When the steak came it had the mushrooms all over it. We weren’t pleased about that. We overheard some other couples complaining also. We got a new waiter and another steak, but it kinda ruined the nice dinner.

My wife had the elk bolognese. It was very good. I had the fish and chips and wasn’t impressed. The temperature in the restaurant was very hot and stuffy. I am from Texas and can handle heat. I actually stepped outside for a while to cool off. Want to note there is an extra charge for paying housing for employees. We had two regular dinner items, the wife had a side salad and 1 glass of wine each. Our bill was $132.

Came for lunch and we both got burgers (I got the bacon one) and both were great! House salad was an apple and walnut mix and was surprisingly good! For beer they had flights available with a good mix of options and I liked them all (seasonal pumpkin one was fun).

This place was amazing, great tacos, ribs as well as their coleslaw! We sat outside in the cool breeze, our server was attentive and polite.
Heather H — Google review
The host tainted the experience. I was less than impressed with the service prior to being seated but our server was an improvement. He was a good server but he was busy. I had the pumpkin plunge (spiced Belgian ale). It was very good. My wife had the Sauvignon Blanc and was very impressed. I had the Alaskan Cod and Fries for my meal. The fries were seasoned well but cold have benefited from a second fry to crisp them up. The fish was nice and flaky. The slaw was excellent— the jalapeño was a nice touch. The house made tartar sauce was a little too heavy on the lemon. My wife had the bbq burger and fries and was very pleased. Overall, I think it was a good stop with solid food and a nice atmosphere.

We walked in on a whim, and we were blown away. The food was delicious, the service was even better. It’s a busy place and we sat at the bar, but were easily able to order food and didn’t feel overwhelmed. The bartender (had a ponytail, baseball hat, didn’t catch his name) was incredibly kind and helpful, and so was the other gentleman who helped us (maybe bar manager). The best food we’ve had in telluride and the best dining experience.

I’d give six stars if I could. Exceptional meal, service and ambiance. Multiple members of the team greeted us as we arrived and walked to our table. We were told there were no additional seatings at our table so we could take our time. The service was pleasant, well timed and never rushed. The food was delicious, especially the Elk tenderloin. Add this to the list of excellent places to eat in Telluride.

Just celebrated our 45th Anniversary at the New Sheridan Chop House Restaurant. It was an amazing dinner thanks to our waiter Travers who was fantastic. We started with cocktails and had an opportunity to enjoy them before even discussing the specials on the menu. Our waiter had impeccable timing not rushing but being attentive to all the details. We ordered the wedge salad for an appetizer and the New York strip entree which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) with sides of asparagus and truffle fries. Dessert was key lime pie. Everything was wonderful and provided an enjoyable evening experience. Thanks to the management of the New Sheridan for providing such a great dining establishment.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and inviting perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The service was top-notch, our server was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. The steak was absolutely phenomenal. Cooked to perfection, beautifully seasoned, and melt in your mouth tender. But what really blew us away was the dessert. Highly recommend it!

Ok so here is rhe honest truth about the food overall it was to die for delicious but I had a slight problem with my 10 Oz filled minion steak it was cooked to perfection medium rare as I ordered it but it was very dry with no moisture in the meat, but when you pay $80 for a steak you sure expect it to be perfect. But when I called my server over and explained this to him he was in 100% agreement and said no absolutely not i can tell from looking at it that it is not right, and he immediately took it off the bill no questions asked. Beside that everything was perfect even Wiliams 15 Oz new York strip was to die for delicious

Upon entry into the establishment the waiter greeted us by saying do you have a reservation. We said no. He said you can sit by the entrance where the whole restaurant was empty. He said if you want a different table go to the hostess. The manager shrugged us off. Very unprofessional. Our waiter that we had was great! The fish was dry. The appetizers pictured were really good.

All honesty, the food was good, not amazing. The experience is what gives them 5 stars. The scallop plate with pearled couscous was 5 stars no doubt. Same with the melon bruschetta. The trumpet mushrooms were okay, the lobster mac and cheese was okay. It’s tough with fine dining restaurants because you pay a pretty penny for what might not be that good, my own personal opinion. Nick was great, our waiter. On top of the service, he was friendly, conversational and helpful. Overall great service as well from the staff accommodating my special requests with the wine and flowers. Thank you to the people of the New Sheridan Chophouse.

Located in the iconic Sheridan hotel, the hotel itself is a big landmark in town. We are a group of 9 were seated in the corner where the wine cabinets are which is semi private. Our server is super friendly and we got couple bottles of wine from the cabinet they are at a decent price. The side dishes are good for table share, pretty good portion, so you can order one side per two person to share. The truffle fries are crispy cornbread is warm and fluffy. For the main I shared the bison, the size is pretty big, I can’t imagine to finish by myself. I think everyone else is sharing the main unless you are really hungry The meal is not cheap definitely a splurge for the trip, but really enjoyed the meal.

What a wonderful evening. It was cold and rainy outside, but warm and cozy inside. We had a great meal and the service was excellent. I started with the wedge salad, which was very flavorful, with blue cheese crumbles and Nueske's bacon. My wife started with the gazpacho and it was wonderful. Then we each had a filet mignon, and they were cooked to perfection - very tender and flavorful. The spinach and french fries were great. We topped it off by sharing the key-lime pie which rivaled one we had had years ago at Ziggys's in the Florida Keys. Thank you for being a great part of Telluride.

Nestled in Telluride, there is a charming and cozy hangout spot that has been serving delightful global small plates and creative cocktails since 2010. Founded by Andrew Tyler, this eclectic venue offers a warm and inviting space with a pressed tin ceiling and handmade barstools. The menu features delicious New American cuisine with Asian influences, along with an array of handcrafted drinks.
Very surprised how good this spot was . We enjoyed everything we had here. Their food was great and the cocktails were tasty ! The menu might be very small but all the items on the menu were delicious. We even end up ordering some food twice 😋. The servers/bartenders were very friendly . The vibe was great and definitely recommend this local spot . We would definitely come back . Don’t miss this spot when you’re in the area.

Very delicious food. Small plates style. They use tamari and the cucumbers and pear salad were awesome. Several flavor layers and reasonable portion sizes. We also got the duck bao bun on a lettuce wrap and the wagyu skewers. Pricey but not egregious for Telluride. The duck was awesome- can only imagine how good it would be on a bun. Their liquor options were all top shelf. Not complicated cocktails but high end ingredients.

This place is a gem. Unique energy, great food with Asian inspiration, and fantastic cocktails. The bar tenders gave great service and are a large piece of the fun vibe that makes There so uniquely great. I recommend making a reservation - the first time we went they were able to squeeze us in after a short wait, but it is small and intimate so we could have waited a lot longer.

Love this funky Telluride restaurant. Innovative and delicious food, drinks and overall vibe. Some of the staff are a little too cool but if you can override the attitudes and see the forest through the trees, overall a worthy experience. Love their cocktails especially.
Alison R — Google review
The atmosphere is lively and exciting — a great place if you’re looking for energy and fun. That said, the food portions are small for the price. It feels like you’re getting skimped at every turn, which makes the value hard to justify. Drinks are also on the expensive side, but they’re crafted really well and worth trying. The service stands out — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall, a fun spot for drinks and vibe, but not the best choice if you’re coming for a satisfying meal.

I know when it comes to Telluride, it's really hard to go wrong. The food & service industry there has it down. And having lived & worked there for the better part of two years, I know. But There REALLY has things dialed in. Of all the times I've been there for drinks, dinner or apres ski, I have literally never had a bad experience. The drinks are amazing, pretty much everything on the menu. The food is more of a tapas type, smaller portion. But oh, so, delicious. 🤤 The staff really know how to run the place given how busy they get. Again, never a bad experience. Make There a must stop if you're in town.
Kiefer T — Google review
Service was 4/5 - polite, friendly, helpful, but slow to check on us and they seemed understaffed. Food was 2/5 - the eggplant was extremely salty (tasted like straight miso paste) while the radish and cabbage were completely unseasoned. Brussels sprouts were all chips and no actual Brussels - was like eating air or getting a second order of popcorn. Crab baos were tasty. Elk wontons were dry inside and overcooked. Salmon crudo was flavorless and again with watery flavorless radishes making for a really weird texture differential. Popcorn was the best thing we had which does not match the price. Prices were gauging for so many of the dishes being mid. For a small menu that’s been on since spring it felt like BOH was not in it tonight. Value 1/5. Left hungry due to not wanting to be burned on anything else.

Nestled in the charming town of Telluride, Stronghouse Brew Pub is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Colorado dining experience. This renowned establishment offers a delectable array of Colorado-inspired dishes such as elk sliders and mouthwatering soft pretzels, perfectly complemented by their selection of local craft beers. Housed in a historic stone building, the rustic terrace provides a picturesque setting to savor their infamous beer boot.
Stopped in today for a quick snack & some beer at the bar. They make a great sour & bourbon barrel beer (if you like founders KBS this is a lighter amazing version of it). We both got soups (butternut squash & green chili) came out super hot and fresh with a homemade biscuit. Service was amazing - the bartenders were super friendly and walked us through the menu and beer choices!

I really enjoyed their beer selection, which offers a variety of options for every palate. Pairing it with their brat made for a satisfying meal; the brat was flavorful and well-cooked. For families, there’s a kid-friendly option with the hotdog and fries combo, which is priced at $11. The outdoor seating on the balcony was a highlight, especially with the fall leaves creating a beautiful and relaxing backdrop. It’s a great spot to enjoy a casual meal with scenic views. On the downside, I wasn’t a fan of the pretzel. It was a bit too hard for my liking, and at $9 or $10, it didn’t feel worth the price. However, the fries were fantastic. They’re on the thinner side, with a perfect balance of crunch on the outside and a soft, fluffy inside. Overall, while some items were hit or miss, the setting and beer selection made it a great spot to relax and enjoy the season.

Stopped by on our first night for drinks and decided to come back our second night to try the food. Everything was so good! Great beer and the food was amazing. A great place to stop by for a drink and a bite to eat! We loved sitting on the patio with our dog but the inside looked lovely too. The staff are so kind we’ve already been here twice on our short trip.

The history of the building is worth researching. We stopped for dinner and the food was amazing. Yes, some reviews say the music is loud, but we were able to have a good conversation without talking loud. The service was excellent, bartender and waiter very attentive. My husband had the solo bratwurst with onions and brown mustard ✅. I had the green chili and the pork melts in your mouth, with carrots that still have color and texture, side cilantro, red onion and jalapeños to add to taste.

Black Iron Kitchen + Bar is a stylish and contemporary restaurant and bar located at the Madeline Hotel in Telluride, Colorado. It's a popular spot for apres ski, offering fireside tables and outdoor dining with heaters. The restaurant serves New American cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Led by Executive Chef Bill Greenwood, the menu features hearty and rustic meals.
Love the atmosphere. We were greeted with champagne for anniversary celebration. I got the rabbit risotto which was okay. My husband got the smash burger which was excellent! The only downside is our waiter just brought the check right-away and didn’t offer dessert menu which we were looking forward to.
D L — Google review
We stayed at the Madeline Hotel and each morning, this was the restaurant where breakfast was served for hotel guests. Our only experience dining here was for breakfast and it was just ok. Main reason for the below than average experience each time we were here was the staff. Even though there seemed to be plenty of staff members, somehow it always took at least 10-15 minutes after we sat down before we were even greeted by our server. This could certainly be excused if every table was full but when you’re only one of about 6 tables taken, it was hard to believe how long it took someone to come over to us. It’s hard to have any kind of pleasant experience anywhere when you sit down and feel like you’re an inconvenience for being there. I’m sure that wasn’t the intention although that’s how the delayed welcome made us feel…two days in a row. It just feels like a restaurant who is associated with a luxury hotel would have better effort from their staff to provide excellent service. Even while we sat there and waited for our food, we hardly ever saw our server. The food itself was fine. I made a poor order the first morning with the chicken and waffles. The waffle part was good but the chicken on top didn’t look like a good piece of meat - it was tough and fatty without much taste. I didn’t eat much of the chicken so luckily the waffle was good. My wife enjoyed her lavender blackberry pancakes but said the flavor got a little strong near the end. The presentation was nice but we’re talking about breakfast here, there’s not much need to dress up the menu items too much. The next morning we played it safe - I got their Rocky Mountain Morning (eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes) and my wife got the Palisade Peach Oatmeal Bowl. It’s hard to mess up my order so it was good and my wife did enjoy her oatmeal. But again, poor service throughout breakfast. Hopefully the servers during the dinner hour are better but I wouldn’t waste your time here for breakfast, especially with the prices being so high. Maybe if the service matched the prices you’re expected to pay but it really made it hard getting the bill each time knowing how unwelcome our servers made us feel. Can’t imagine we’d come back, even if we were given free breakfast through the hotel - it just wasn’t worth it.

I had the burger with the foie grass and is was really good. The foie grass was cooked to perfection. The burger was well balanced and the fries were really good. And don’t forget desert the crème burlee was delicious with a hint of basil and some strawberry and amazing combination.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and we certainly felt special! The service was fantastic including extra celebratory goodies like champagne and dessert. We ordered the duck flappers, mushroom ravioli, and beef tenderloin. Each dish was very tasty and their timing was great. The cocktails were equally delish and well-balanced. We’ll be back!

Honestly if it wasn’t for the atmosphere and the experience I had earlier in the day when I stopped in for a drink I would probably give a lower rating. For dinner the food was good but the portions for price isn’t great. I had the Berkshire tomahawk and left hungry. The service was good and the atmosphere is nice. Outside of that, there are better places in town to eat.

A Disappointing Experience at a Five-Star Hotel Restaurant Our recent dining experience at a restaurant located in a prestigious five-star hotel was, unfortunately, far from the exceptional service and quality one might expect from such an establishment. Despite having a 6:30 PM reservation and arriving punctually, our evening was marred by a series of missteps that highlighted systemic issues with the restaurant’s service and operations. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly and seated. However, the hostess attempted to place our party of five adults at a table with only four chairs, a move we had to correct by requesting a larger table. The hostess wanted to pull up an extra chair for a table that was only large enough for four. While our request was accommodated, this set the tone for what would be a disorganized and frustrating evening. After being seated, our server introduced herself and we were offered water before taking our drink order. Unfortunately, it took approximately 20–25 minutes for some of our drinks to arrive, with the remaining drinks following. This delay was a precursor to the prolonged waiting times we experienced throughout the meal. The chocolate martini ordered by one of our party was served in a wine glass and was not what was ordered. Our appetizers, consisting of soups and a bread roll, arrived only after we flagged down a manager to inquire about the delay. When they did arrive—an hour after ordering—the soups were cold, and the bread was initially forgotten. The manager, who informed us it was only his second day on the job and he was brought in to fix some of the issues the restaurant was having, apologized and acknowledged the service issues. He stated that he was brought in similar to the tv show Bar Rescue. The main course fared no better. Four out of five entrees were served after an hour and a half wait, with one hamburger missing entirely. The entrees were cold. Another 10–15 minutes passed before we flagged down a person who identified himself as the hotel manager, identifiable by his distinctive attire. He personally ensured the final entree would be out shortly. The final entree was delivered along with another apology. Throughout the evening, it became evident that we were not alone in our frustrations. The neighboring table experienced similar service issues, with missing appetizers and delayed entrees. While the staff’s apologies and the eventual comping of our entire meal were appreciated, they did little to salvage the evening or justify the restaurant’s high prices and five-star hotel reputation. The staff at this restaurant were clearly not trained to provide the services expected for a restaurant attached to a five star hotel. One example of this was when we asked one of the wait staff assistants who was refilling our water glasses for a wine menu. This was a simple request, but his reply was “I’ll get your server!” Our server was already running from table to table and clearly overloaded. In summary, while the setting and atmosphere of this hotel restaurant hinted at luxury, the execution fell woefully short. Poor service, cold food, and excessive delays overshadowed any potential highlights of the evening. For a restaurant in a five-star hotel, the standards, food, and service should be much higher.

Chris was AMAZING! Telluride’s finest! We had dinner at a restaurant the night before at a famous 150 year old place. We decided to order pizza from then on IF this was what the food was going to be like in Telluride … WE WERE WRONG. Go to THE VIEW … don’t walk..RUN! The service and the food was EXCELLENT! I visited this place for my birthday and could not recommend it more. We had the greatest server, Michael Jackson, who not only provided us with great humor but also a free round of drinks and dessert. Besides the hospitality, the place blew me away with their food alone. I got their chicken which was to die for! My husband got the steak and he said it’s the best flavor in all of Colorado. All of that combined with the view makes this place a 10/10 place to eat.

Come for the restaurant's namesake, stay for the amazing seasonal desserts. I'll be thinking about the huckleberry ice cream for a long time. Trout, pot roast, burger, salads, half chicken, BLTA, and tableware are all excellent. (Skip the elk bolognese and try the dish at Smuggler's instead.) Servers are great and always make us feel welcome and cared for.

This is the perfect place for dinner. Aptly named, the view is beautiful— especially at sunset. My wife and I came in to celebrate my birthday while we were in town and we were not disappointed with our choice. The service was excellent with the host offering to take our photo outside as the sun was setting. The food is top tier. I had the ribeye—accompanied by a baked potato and roasted seasonal vegetable. Delicious! My wife had the chicken pot pie which she declared was one of the best pot pies she has ever eaten— her favorite food by the way. If you are looking for a special place to have a meal then look no further. It’s on the pricier side but The View is a prime example of getting what you pay for.

I’ve had the chance to visit here both during peak season and the quieter off-season while performing maintenance at the resorts, and every experience has been fantastic. The atmosphere has a charm that fits perfectly with Telluride’s unique vibe. The food has always been excellent — great flavor, consistent quality, and plenty of options to satisfy different tastes. Their drink selection is also impressive, making it easy to find something to pair perfectly with a meal or just to enjoy on its own after a long day. What really stands out, though, is the staff. Every time I’ve visited, they’ve been welcoming, kind, and genuinely courteous, which makes a big difference no matter how busy the place is. Telluride itself is one of my favorite destinations, and this spot adds to the reason why. Whether you’re here during the rush of ski season or in the calmer months, it’s well worth stopping in — you can always count on good food, great drinks, and friendly service.

The Butcher & The Baker is a popular spot offering housemade baked goods, sandwiches, and breakfast plates made with local, organic ingredients. It's known for its traditional breakfast options like homemade English muffins and artisan pastries. The cafe also caters to dietary restrictions with gluten-free choices such as the blueberry waffle and savory breakfast porridge. Customers can enjoy their food at the counter, table, bar, outside yard or patio.
Shopping and supporting local is my favorite thing to do! This cafe supports local as well. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. The food was delicious. Locally sourced items, produce grown on their own farm and they bake and make everything by hand. This place is delicious. Try the Turkey sandwich with jam and brie, so yummy.

Super fresh breakfast food and pretty quick service! The Butcher & The Baker could definitely use some more seating, but we were able to grab a table pretty quickly after ordering. I didn't adore the breakfast burrito, but my bacon and eggs plate was tasty.

Walked in to the shop a few people sitting. I got up to the counter where my mom and niece were at the counter. We stood there no one around. I said “ hello” after a while a young man came up and said what can I get you and what else? No hello welcome in or we’ll be right with you. He seemed rushed to help us and a bit impatient?! We ordered our drinks and pastries, paid and left. I dont think he said thanks?!? Just weird . And I tipped him. My first time to this coffee shop and I’ve always had good service while in Telliride. Coffee was good and our croissants were good, light and flaky. Just wish the service was hospitable and kind.

The Butcher & The Baker is a definitely a must visit in Telluride! It was crazy busy when we went so expect a wait but it didn’t take very long to get through the line. Food was fresh, flavorful, and worth every penny. The burgers and sandwiches are phenomenal, and you can’t go wrong with a fresh cold local pint to wash it all down! A perfect local gem to try!

Fabulous food. Smaller interior so try to scout a seat. Did not love the famous tuna sandwich but the reuben and the lentil soup were fantastic. Fries were also really good.

Super cute brunch spot in downtown telluride! Of course beautiful views and lots of outdoor seating. Was really tough to find a menu anywhere so we just looked online. I got the tuna sandwhich which was phenomenal. House chips were great too and every meal comes w fruit which was nice. Not THAT pricey for being a nice spot in telluride but I also paid $20 and didn't get a drink. My friends meal looked kinda gross and the salad was below average. She got ciabatta and it looked like a soggy wrap. She hated her meal but I liked mine,

We were in Telluride during off-season. This was one of the few places that was open so it was busy (maybe because of the lack of options). We had the breakfast burrito and bread pudding dessert. The burrito was premade and just heated up and the bread pudding was cold. We thought we were getting fresh "farm to table" but nothing was made to order. The burrito was suppose to have sausage and it had barely any we could taste. The majority was sweet potato and eggs. That combination was disgusting. They gave you a side of salsa with was watery. Realizing that the bread pudding was cold after we already got to our table, I went back up to the counter to ask for them to heat it up. The staff were busy talking to each other and said they would bring it to me in a min. It came back to our table after 5 mins. and was still cold in the center. We were treated like we were an inconvenience. I would NOT recommend this place.
Alsalemk — Google review
Chocolate croissant was amazing. Service - not so much. Signs telling us to “bus our own tables” didn’t really sit well with me when the staff wasn’t that busy and not very personable. If you are just coming in for grab and go, I would definitely recommend. Sitting down to enjoy a meal - choose another place.

The National Telluride is a trendy restaurant run by Executive Chef Chris Thompson, who brings his global culinary expertise to the table. The menu features flavors from various countries, offering dishes like warm focaccia with ricotta and black truffle honey, cinnamon-crusted Colorado lamb, and squid ink spaghetti with confit garlic. Adjacent to The Liberty Bar, this upscale tavern also boasts skilled mixologists serving craft cocktails such as the popular Mountain Shrine.
Our party of four had a reservation and were graciously greeted by Jenny, who led us to our booth-and-barstool combo table just across from the bar. The night kicked off with flair as Michael arrived with charisma, a couple of great stories, and took our drink order with ease. Shortly after, our server Cat stepped in—sharp, attentive, and thoroughly knowledgeable. Like Michael, she was a key part of what made the experience memorable. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, family-style, and not one disappointed. The flavors, presentation, and creativity in every plate showcased the kitchen’s real talent. The vibe? Upscale yet casual, youthful but refined—fun energy all around without compromising the quality. If you’re in Telluride and looking for a dining experience that delivers both style and substance, The National is a must.

I wanted to share my experience here, as it was the positive reviews I read about this place that brought me in. Overall, I would say the experience was just fine. We had made reservations online and were looking forward to a date night away from our daughter. However, when we were seated, my wife and I looked at each other in surprise—one seat was in a corner, and the other was right next to a waiter/waitress stand. I've included a photo because it was almost comical how many times our conversation was interrupted by staff standing directly beside me. At one point, even other guests came up to speak with their server during our meal. It was such a strange location to seat someone, especially a guest who had made a reservation. If I had seen that spot beforehand and realized that’s where we’d be seated, I probably would have changed my mind—and I don’t think I would have been too upset about it. That said, the food was excellent. However, the server had not tasted the main special and was unable to describe its flavor, which was disappointing. On the plus side, the oysters tasted fresh, and the bread was unbelievable. I mistakenly gave back my dessert menu, but luckily, since I was seated so close to the stand, I didn’t even have to get up to grab another—another moment I’ve captured in a photo haha. I hope this review helps someone else make a decision.

My husband and I came for our anniversary. Host were super sweet: instantly congratulated us after giving our names. Kelsey was our server, she was excellent and had great knowledge about the cocktail list. She also was super attentive about the fact that we don’t eat meat and made sure our pasta didn’t include mortadella. Food and drinks were delicious! We had the yellow tail crudo, the pesto bucatini and the cod 10/10! Thank you!

Mushroom festival brought with it some Amazing meals in Telluride! My 2nd night in town I enjoyed this prix fixe menu at "The National." This 4 course meal had this big guy stuffed! The wine selection here is expansive and the sommelier is very knowledgeable! She helped me select a bottle that would pair with all 4 courses and it did not disappoint throughout the entire meal. I'm almost certain this was my first time having panna cotta and I am not upset about it at all. It was rich and creamy and went well with the foccacia. The scallops were cooked to perfection and of course the mushrooms blended well with the scallops and risotto. My favorite dish of the meal was definitely the Short Rib. OH MY! This was incredible, had the meat sweats devouring this dish, it was rich and packed full of flavor that your grandmother could only dream of achieving with her Sunday dinner. The dessert was the sweet treat to finish off this amazingly filling meal. I was sitting at the bar top and enjoyed the service from the bar staff. The atmosphere is more laid back than other fine dining restaurants with more upbeat music playing at a bit of a louder volume than others. But its fun and energetic not overpowering. The meal I had was a special for Mushroom festival but if its any indication to the abilities of this cooking staff, I would gladly visit again to try something different.

We visited The National as our final big meal while in town in June 2025. I'm definitely a fan of Telluride having more fine dining options and places with the vibes of the National. Unfortunately, we came away not especially impressed. Service throughout was awkward and oddly timed - we were asked if we were ready to order essentially right when we were seated and service at no point seemed to be supporting the experience. The menu itself I thought was pretty standard for the type of New American restaurant The National was presenting itself as and the actual food we received was similarly pretty bland. The drink options were quite nice however and the atmosphere inside was top notch. I'm hopeful our experience was just growing pains for the National since I think it's the type of option Telluride needs more of.

A phenomenal experience. We come to telluride every fall and this is one of our favorite restaurants to dine at. Everytime the food and service is amazing. Our server tonight was Michael and he was exceptional. One of the best servers we’ve ever had. He was very educated on the menu and had great suggestions. We tried the new salmon on the menu tonight and were very pleased. We are here for 2 weeks and just might have to come again next week! Thank you Michael and thank you to the chef! Delicious!

Kate, Daniel, and the rest of the team at The National was fantastic. They hosted an after-wedding drinks and dinner for us - they had a beautiful setup on the rooftop, worked with the florist to bring in the decorations, put together a select menu for the group, and made delicious cakes. Cannot recommend enough!

We were in town for our anniversary and came across this place while we were walking downtown during the day. We made one of the last reservations for that evening and ended up having an excellent experience! When we arrived for our resy, the atmosphere was energetic from all the people filling up the restaurant. We were promptly taken to our table and as soon as we sat down, we were greeted by our server with a glass of bubbles to celebrate our anniversary! This was such an incredible start to the evening and such a special touch the restaurant made on our evening. Our menus even said “Happy Anniversary” on them! After being walked through the menu, we order a few cocktails and the Warm Focassia to kick things off - they had a great cocktail and wine list! Dinner was tough because there were so many tasty things on the menu. My wife ordered the Bigoli Carbonara and I ordered their Vadouvan Spiced Pork Chop, which was insanely good and easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had! My wife also mentioned how great her pasta was! Post-dinner we order another round of drinks - my wife went with the Flatliner cocktail and I ordered another old fashioned. Our server was really talking up their Orange-Yogurt Cake dessert - cherry compote, balsamic caramel, mascarpone whip, and ricotta ice cream - and it did not disappoint! This was such a great recommendation and our server was amazing once again and brought us another round of anniversary bubbles since he swore it paired well with the dessert...which he was absolutely right - definitely order both other those together!! Overall, our experience here was incredible and they really did a perfect job making our special day even better!

Baked in Telluride is a popular restaurant and bakery known for its delicious bagels, sandwiches, and pizza. It's a favorite among skiers, cyclists, and backpackers who are looking for quick breakfast options to fuel their adventures. The glass display case showcases an array of tempting treats including cookies, doughnuts, bagels, croissants, and scones.
Baked in Telluride is delicious. We went for breakfast and they had it all. Chorizo breakfast burrito was really good. We tried a few of the pastries and they were excellent. The dining area isn’t huge so I’d recommend going early. Good coffee as well!

We found refuge within Baked in Telluride during a surprise June downpour. Had some tasty donuts and above average sandwiches while we waited out the rain. While it's not the best Italian hoagie style sandwich I've had, it's great to even see the option in town. Would come back next time we're in Telluride.

The fettuccini alfredo was amazing! My husband got the BLT. His only complaint was wishing there was more bacon, but said it was still really good. The baked goods looked really delicious as well. We got a piece of banana bread to go for the morning. Recommend stopping in!
Merisa S — Google review
We visited Baked in Telluride on July 1st, 2025 around 6 PM for dinner on our last night in town. The place had a huge variety of baked goods and an extensive menu with lots of options to choose from. There was even a grab-and-go section with pizza by the slice and pre-made salads—super convenient for people on the move. Unfortunately, our ordering experience was less than ideal. Maria helped us at the counter, and to be honest, she seemed rushed and impatient from the start. It was our first time there, and instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like we were an inconvenience. At one point, she sighed and tapped her fingers while our daughters were quickly deciding between pizza and pasta—it was uncomfortable. We even forgot to order a couple of things because we felt so hurried. When we tried to add one more item, her reaction was noticeably annoyed. A little patience and a smile would’ve gone a long way. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag: • My husband had the pasta marinara with meatballs—he thought it was just okay and wouldn’t order it again. • My mother-in-law pre-ordered her pizza and enjoyed it. • My father-in-law got the avocado taco and the beef fajita taco and liked them both, though he raised an eyebrow at the $5 per taco price. Personally, I thought it was fair (plus we were paying, so 🤷‍♀️). • My younger daughters ordered plain pasta with just parmesan (picky eaters!) and they enjoyed it. • My oldest daughter went with the garlic parmesan bread as her main meal and loved it. I tried it too—it was super flavorful, though a bit heavy on the garlic. • I ordered the double black angus chili, which sounded amazing. It was hearty and loaded with ingredients—black beans, tomatoes, celery, green peppers, onions, and beef—but it lacked the bold spices I expect in chili (especially being from Texas). It tasted more like a tomato-based stew than a true chili. Still decent, just not what I was hoping for. The dining experience itself was just okay. There were flies buzzing around, which was frustrating and distracting while eating. Oddly, this was the only restaurant in Telluride during our week-long trip where we ran into that issue. The bathrooms could definitely use more attention. They were out of toilet paper and we had to use rough paper towels instead. The floors were also pretty dirty—maybe from an earlier rush, but still not ideal. In short, Baked in Telluride has a lot of potential with its big menu and bakery selection, but the service and cleanliness really need improvement. Unfortunately, we probably won’t return on future visits. * I was only able to take a picture of my chili since I had to fight off flies, but the garlic parmesan bread looked amazing!

What an amazing bakery in the middle of telluride. My cinnamon chronut was one of the best I've ever had. Great service, tons of variety and a great location. What's not to like?!
Greg H — Google review
Good spot to stop off for a grab and go breakfast. Has a nice selection of pastries and some premade breakfast sandwiches/burritos. They also do breakfast plates to order but most of the customers seem to take advantage of the grab and go selection. I had a bacon and egg burrito from the grab and go cabinet. It was alright. It was made mostly off egg with potentially a slice of bacon scattered throughout. The eggs within the burrito are powdered eggs (I believe). If they aren’t, they are like it. I would give three stars but my wife has gotten pastries from here several times and said they are all good— they all look very good. She was also pleased with her iced coffee.

La Marmotte is a refined French dining experience located in a quaint 19th-century cabin with a patio. The restaurant has evolved its menu to offer inventive dishes alongside classic French favorites, such as quail with pistachios and bee pollen, and mushroom-mint risotto. Known for its romantic ambiance, La Marmotte sources fresh, organic ingredients from local farmers and ranchers for popular entrees like Coq au Vin and Parmesan-encrusted lamb shank.
This is a really great restaurant. I think we caught it right when they weren’t very busy, food was fast and great service. I don’t really get why it doesn’t have higher reviews. I’ve been to a fair few restaurants in telluride and this one is maybe my favorite.

The steak tartare and trout niçoise were amazing, duck cassoulet and cheese plate were alright. The service though was kind of hilarious. This place thinks they’re some fine dining experience but they’re the trashiest service I’ve had in a while. Our server was actually nice but droned on and on about how amazing and high class their food is which I found extremely tacky. At the end of the dinner a girl came up to us and told us verbatim “Have you paid? No rush but there are people waiting to eat here.” Not very representative of the fine dining experience they pretend to be and I genuinely hope a manager sees this so they can train their staff to behave properly.

Met the chef. Young and inspired and obviously passionate about what he does. 3 courses for under 100$ is amazing in a ski town. Fantastic wine selection. Steak tartare was incredible, caramelized onions under the steak was a great and tasty surprise! Interior and exterior of restaurant was very pretty.

This was our first dining stop of the trip. We ate outside on the porch which was quiet and welcoming. All the food was great and dessert did not disappoint! Creme Brûlée is a must per my mom and I loved the chocolate and cheesecake.

The quality and service here are absolutely excellent. We experienced a medical emergency during our visit, and the staff went above and beyond to take care of us with kindness and professionalism the entire time. On top of that, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was top tier. Truly an unforgettable experience- we are so grateful!

Fantastic experience at this modern French Telluride institution. Very well trained, friendly and effective wait staff. Cozy indoor restaurant environment (heated glass Igloos outside also offer a unique dining experience). Enjoyed bone marrow (pictured), croquettes, curried mussels, Beef Bourguignon, Snake River ribeye steak, an apple tart and chocolate cheesecake mousse. House cocktails and wine selections were also first class. Coffee came in French presses of course. For everything in Telluride, cost was appropriate (diner for two plus tip was a little north of $400). Definitely one of Telluride's best. Adding to our fine dining rotation.

La Marmotte is another one of Telluride's best restaurants. Our overall experience tonight was outstanding all the way around. Came here for our wedding (elopement) dinner. Researched many other restaurants in the area prior to making a reservation here and couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. They had us seated in the back corner where it was more private and intimate. They even brought us a complementary appetizer which was amazing. The wagyu tartar was awesome and so was the mushroom risotto. Mark (I believe was his name) helped us reserve the table months in advance and even helped when we called a few weeks prior to make sure we were still good. Thanks again for capping off a memorable day.

Oak, The New Fat Alley BBQ is a family-friendly restaurant and bar located near the gondola on South Oak Street. It's run by a hardworking family, so it's a great place to bring kids without worrying about noise or meltdowns. The menu features delicious southern food like fried chicken, gumbo, and the best pulled pork sandwich in town. The large outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying BBQ and beer with your dog leashed nearby.
OMG, I’m STILL thinking about that shrimp po boy and fried okra! Gall-DANG that was good! 😍 We really enjoyed bellying up to the bar to grab our grub (and what freaking great grub it was) while also having fun talking with the bartenders, servers, and owner. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience at Oak has served as one of our more enjoyable experiences in Telluride. Fingers crossed the space does not get re-vamped into some swank wine bar - or really, anything else - as word-on-the-street suggests! We didn’t discover an abundance of places in the mountain village or Telluride that struck the same combination of laid-back environment, attentive yet relaxed service, and really good food.
KP — Google review
This spot is in a great location right next to the gondola. The atmosphere is great. They have great dog friendly patio seating here. The beers were great, as well as the fries. The pulled pork sandwich was okay. It was lacking in flavor, and the bun was soggy. The service was fast and friendly. Great spot to grab a beer and enjoy the town and incredible views.
Diana O — Google review
Visited Oak at the Fat Alley in Telluride and was very disappointed with the food. I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich ($17) and the Smoked Brisket Sandwich ($19), both of which came with free sides. Unfortunately, both sandwiches were bland and unseasoned—the meats tasted like they were just boiled and dropped on a bun. No veggies, cheese, or garnish—just plain meat and bread. To make it worse, the bottom bun was soggy and fell apart when I tried to lift the sandwich. For the price, I expected much better. It honestly felt like a rip-off. Only reason I’m giving 1 star instead of none is for the ambiance—great indoor and outdoor seating. But I won’t be back.

As many others have commented, this is not really a BBQ place. I had the bbq chicken and the generic chicken I get at Whole Foods is juicier and tastier than this. My chicken was a bit tough and dry. It felt like I was eating yesterday's leftovers. The saving grace was the 3-burger slider. Those were actually a bit bigger than expected and they were not dry, but again, the bbq flavor was not there. Meh experience.
Max R — Google review
Food was good, service not so much. Staff was friendly, but getting their attention to get a dessert or the check was difficult. I finished my cider, and I was not asked if I wanted another. (Mind you, I have an open tab, so why not ask? How much do you want to bring in?) As I said the food was good. I got a half rack of ribs and a side of red beans and rice. For dessert, a slice of pecan pie. The ribs could have used a rub prior to being cooked and sauced, I think the rub would have added a bit of missing spice that the sauce didn't have. I did like the hearty pieces of peppers and onions in the sauce, though. Red beans and rice, again, need some seasoning. This is supposed to be a southern-inspired restaurant. The hot sauce on the table added what the red beans and rice were lacking. The pecan pie was properly warmed in an oven (evident by some slight crust blackening), served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was a good finish to the meal. If you don't mind being left alone by servers at a full-service establishment, this place may be your cup of tea. While food is really nothing spectacular, it was still good.

Best bar in telluride. Great staff, service, and drinks. I had my wedding welcome drinks here and always make it a point to stop by when we're in town. Cocktails were amazing. Kind and friendly service. Lovely chill atmosphere. Side patio with Mountain View’s. Indoor space has a cool speakeasy vibe. We were craving margaritas and they weren’t on the menu but the bartender made them anyway and crushed it!

I am not usually one to leave a review (good or bad) but this experience made me feel like I had to. The bar itself was cool but the bartenders were incredibly rude. A guy at the bar was wasted and kept trying to talk to us and then bought our drinks without us asking and the bartenders gave us a guilt trip for not talking to him. We ordered birthday shots and they both poured themselves shots to do with us and then proceeded to charge us for the shots they did. Overall, bad experience. Would not go back or recommend.

Terrible experience. We came in with a wedding party on Thursday karaoke night and the DJ absolutely ruined our night. He was so rude, demeaning, and screamed at my friends for accidentally dropping a microphone. Would not recommend if you want to have fun with a group in Telluride. This is definitely an immeasurable upgrade from O'Bannon's! the drinks are yummy. The bar tenders are kind and can make change and jump over the bar like Sam Malone. The sound guy for live music is excellent. The toilets flush and if you drop your scarf you can put it back on! When it was "obs" if you dropped your scarf you'd have to burn your scarff. I am so happy about the liberty. Go there if you're bar hopping in Telluride.

Oh and now you can order food from the new (best) Thai restaurant in Telluride, Wok of Joy (they might even deliver it if they have enough staff working that night). Could be a speak-easy if it was more deliberately hidden. It's also casual so no need to put your fancy dress on, unless you want to ofc.

Prices are cheap, pool table is a blast, and the bartenders were on fire with the music all night. Couldn’t recommend this spot enough!

Completely upset with the owner for lack of integrity. Set an event for my daughter's post-wedding party. Spoke to 2 other people before him (last fall and over Thanksgiving), confirmed the date with Adam in Janaury and we left it saying we would connect with the restaurant on food in April/May. Spoke to him today and said that he was booked for another private party. Said he must have gotten us mixed up! Will NOT support any business that has such a lack of integrity and business ethics. He had all our information!! Weddings are already stressful to plan and to have an owner like should not be an owner. And he laughed it off!!!!! Unbelievable!!!

Awesome pub!! We had some good food and really good drinks. We played pool and had a wonderful time in our vacation here in Telluride. Can't wait to comeback!!

The day we went we were the only patrons other than 1 guy at the bar. Didn’t expect much but the food was surprisingly good! We all loved our lunch. I got a turkey sandwich that was so delicious, and the fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect amount of crisp and fluffy. We sat outside and had a beautiful view until it got a bit too chilly and we went inside. The owner was rad too.

Shoutout to Kirsten for being so hospitable and FUN. The sliders were perfectly OK, the tater tots were the star of the show. None in our party were crazy about the Mexican offerings.

Great place to have lunch on the mountain while catching a few rays.

What an incredible oasis on the mountain at Telluride? Our group met for lunch daily, and we enjoyed every bit of the experience from the cocktails to beer selection to live music to food! And don't forget to slide down the hill a few times. The QR Code system went down on our last day, but the staff worked hard to accept orders at the counter and quickly deliver food. Well done.
Will C — Google review
We had a great time skiing and then a great time recharging with live music and refreshments on the mountain. You will probably find a seat for your group but it helps to not wait too long. It gets crowded the closer to noon it gets.
Mark C — Google review
Wonderful view, but the food was just ok, was pricy for what it was, and tables were very hard to find. There are better places on the mountain. They do serve a variety of food and alcohol and have (limited) indoor and outdoor seating.

Great place to take a break and grab something to eat on the slopes. Prices are high, and it's sideways crowded, but the food is hot and good

Best stop-over ever. Outstanding drinks and special beers. And if you are ever so lucky you can get a chili dog with your what-ever drink. Beautiful stowe.

La Piazza del Villaggio Ristorante is an elegant and upscale Italian restaurant located in Mountain Village, Colorado. The restaurant offers a delightful and authentic Italian dining experience with a cozy atmosphere adorned with crisp linen tablecloths and attentive waitstaff. The menu features homemade pasta, exquisite Italian dishes, and an extensive wine list to complement the dining experience.
We ate here twice on our trip. Great location in Mountain Village.

Really expensive, but food was good. Pasta portion was small in relation to the price ($40+) but the chicken parmesan was a large portion, and good. Service, meh, but the nice lady working nearby tables picked up the slack.
Alison U — Google review
We were craving authentic pasta, and while Telluride doesn’t offer many options, this place seemed to be our best bet. Despite mixed reviews—some saying it was overpriced and others calling the food mediocre—we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the reviews were spot on. The menu claims the food is “made to order,” but my veal marsala told a different story. The marsala sauce was so separated that it was essentially just oil poured over the meat. My wife’s bolognese wasn’t any fresher—the sauce tasted flat and uninspired. If “made to order” simply means plating pre-made food when you order it, then yes, they’ve mastered that. The service was… confusing. While we were attended to regularly, we never knew who was actually our server. At least three or four different people came by to take drink orders, and it was unclear who to approach when we needed something. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. It was the most expensive meal of our trip and easily the worst. The small Italian spot near our home serves genuinely fresh, made-to-order dishes for a fraction of the cost—and far better quality. On a positive note, the ambiance was nice, but that’s hard to mess up when you’re dining on a patio surrounded by mountains.

Thank you Bruno for the recommendations outstanding service. Bruno was our waiter, host, and wine specialist. He is a top notch person and made our experience enjoyable. The food is exceptional. I haven’t tried one thing I didn’t love. The lasagna is the best lasagna I have ever had and the bolognese is the real deal. The service is great..the ambiance was nice and romantic. Thank you for making our trip!

Was not impressed with service. We scheduled a reservation and when we arrived there was no record for our reservation. We are accepted but I noticed many others experienced the same situation. Communication is lacking. The food was okay, didn't amaze me in any way.

Telluride Distilling Company is a charming distillery located in Mountain Village, offering hand-crafted spirits and a cozy tasting room reminiscent of a well-appointed ski lodge. Visitors can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, play pool or darts, and savor wild game from their rotating menu. The warm cocktail options are perfect for chilly days. While the small bar area may lead to slower service during peak times, the homey atmosphere and friendly staff make it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.
This is our third visit to the Telluride area and our first time discovering the Telluride Distilling Company. What an awesome place, I wish we would have found this establishment sooner! It has a very cool speakeasy feel to it. I'm not a big spirit drinker, but the slushy of the day was great. The space is very comfortable. A highly recommended experience in Mountain Village, we will definitely return on the next visit!

Great place to hang out and enjoy some excellently crafted cocktails! We were staying in Mountain Village and I always love visiting local distilleries whenever we travel. I don’t believe they make anything at this location as it seemed to just be a tasting room/bar. It was still a little early in the afternoon so we had the whole place to ourselves. The bartender was super friendly and make some fantastic cocktails! I started the afternoon strong with their Rye Old Fashioned and my wife tried one of their mocktails, the Shandy. They actually had a really long mocktail lost so even if you aren’t in the mood for a cocktail, their mocktail options were fantastic. We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and we ended up hanging out for a while as the atmosphere inside was really great! We had a really nice time just the two of us although I would imagine this would be a great place for a group to come and grab some drinks! Great place, great cocktails, great experience - we’ll be back!

Love this place for more than just the pours, but the story behind this brand, while tragic, is incredible. The is a comfy little spot with a pool table, popcorn machine, and little nooks for different groups to hang out in. The staff were amazing and held the story of Abbott close. Their passion was inspiring and you should definitely swing over for a post meal pour or cocktail. I didn't try the whole line up, but the whiskey and the pineapple cocktail were great. Grab the limited release Abbott's Reserve Batch 1 if you can. Only down side is there isn't food here. So grab food before you come out, or plan your spot for a little late night snack.

Loved the menu so much we had 2 extended visits during our stay in the village. The vodka mule, chairlift, & spiked hot chocolate were my favorites...they also make a pretty good margarita! The warm cocktail options were perfect on a sub-freezing day ❄️❄️❄️ The distillery has a very homey feel (& great bathrooms)...it was as if we were at home in our own living room. Only negative is that the service will be much slower when a crowd is there, as the bar/mixer area is very small with only one bartender.

Great place! A must go! They make their own whisky, vodka, and peppermint schnapps. $5 drinks are a great deal, and they are strong too. The snuggler (hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps) is DELICIOUS! Cute cabin atmosphere with a pool table, some tables, and a couch.

Siam is a popular Thai restaurant known for its cozy and bustling atmosphere, traditional Thai dishes, and cocktails. The founder, Jeff Badger, brings his culinary talents to the Inn at Lost Creek where Siam's Talay Grille offers Asian seafood and popular Thai appetizers. Despite being thousands of miles from Thailand, Siam has been recognized as one of the best Thai restaurants in Colorado by 5280 magazine.
We ate Pad Thai, Khao Padh fried rice, and Drunken noodles. We enjoyed eating all three dishes. Highly recommend this place!

Siam Restaurant in Telluride: The ambiance was warm, cozy, and inviting—with a unique blend of mountain charm and Thai elegance. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and service. Especially Mark. We tried several dishes. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, the Thai basil stir-fry had just the right amount of spice, and the curry was rich and aromatic. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. You can tell this place takes pride in quality and authenticity. A must-visit if you're in town—don’t miss it! On a side note: Telluride is Expensive, so expect to pay three times for everything, whether it's food, shopping, or entertainment. Be prepared... Or pack extra snacks

The sampling appetizer was phenomenal with an exceptional peanut sauce! The curry and noodle entrees were good. The restaurant has a nice decor and being popular, as soon as we got in it filled up every seat. It can be noisy at times but not to an unpleasant level. Our server took our orders as soon as we got seated and the food arrived timely. Good service. Happy we booked an earlier time.

We had the curry puffs and red curry! Perfectly cooked and extremely delicious. We tried the Mad Mango but it was extremely spicy! Our waitress was kind enough to make it again for us and toned down the spice quite a bit. Overall, great place!

Unfortunately had a really negative experience with the food at Siam. I understand that Telluride is pricier in regards to food, which I accept. What I am not a fan of was the actual flavors of the food. I ordered the ginger and garlic beef and it might be the most disappointing meal I have ever had. The beef genuinely looked boiled and completely unappetizing, the sauce was extremely watered down, and I genuinely could not finish it. The chicken satay was mediocre and the pad see ew didn't taste like pad see ew at all. I absolutely love Thai food, so this was extremely disappointing overall, especially when you considered the price. The only thing that tastes as it should, was the white rice.

my family and I came to eat at this restaurant. We were very excited and actually waited an hour and a half just for that restaurant. but we were met with very rude staff that had one of our guests at the table delivering the checks to our own table instead of the server. When we confronted her about a 20% gratuity that we did didn’t feel was fair due to the poor service with a wrong order, rude staff and ultimately having us be our own servers we let them know that we are happy to pay the bill, but that we are not pleased with the 20%. After that, the manager came to us started escalating. The situation didn’t offer any apologies and even offered to call the authorities. we were very excited to dine here and was very disappointed in the service. it is not worth your time you are met with rude staff. There is much better places to eat in town. and the hostess was not pleased to sit our party. making us feel like an inconvenience.
Nicole C — Google review
I would have posted a picture of the food but it was too good to take the time for that! I got the Khao Soi and my wife got the Panang and would HIGHLY recommend. We are very very picky with our Thai food. The owner came over and talked to us for some time and it made the experience even better. Super friendly to tourists and will be back every time we visit.
Ben A — Google review
The food is good The service was very bad. Waited 15 minutes to be greeted. There were 3 servers. 2 servers standing around doing nothing and our server was having a lengthy conversation with another table. Ordered our meals and food came out timely and was good. We ordered desert. After waiting 25 minutes with a disappearance act from our server we just wanted the check and to leave. I walked up to another server to ask for our check and to make sure the dessert was cancelled, the server literally ran away from me stating over and over. I’m not your server, I’m not your server. I went into the kitchen area and asked another server for our check. Got it and left. Also, before our server disappeared, I was having my soup packed up to go. The server never returned with my to go soup we paid for. It was a very bizarre dinner. Disappointed

Our first trip to Telluride and what a way to start. La Cocina de Luz is a must try if visiting Telluride. We were greeted by someone from their very friendly staff and were seated immediately. Free chips and two types of salsa were brought to the table. The salsa was fresh and delicious. My wife ordered quesadillas and they covered the entire plate. I ordered the special of the day which was a pan seared rainbow trout with quajillo peppers and garlic. Holy cow it was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh. If you see it offered you HAVE to get it. It was also nice to have several of the employees come by our table to see if we were enjoying our meal. We assumed it was the owner and the chef. 5*’s for La Cocina de Luz!

Order at the counter, keep your tab open for drinks and food. The margaritas are delicious. Chile relleno with red or green sauce. The green sauce is a poblano pepper sauce, a tad spicy and delicious. The red pepper sauce is guajillo pepper, also amazing. The food is fresh, the salsas are amazing. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Bonus, the bartender is a paisana.

Decent Mexican food overall, but not particularly memorable. I had the large burrito with two sides, choosing carne asada as my filling. While it was advertised as marinated and grilled skirt steak, the texture leaned more toward pot roast than steak. The beans and rice on the side were fine but lacked seasoning and could have used more flavor. On the positive side, the guacamole was delicious, and the salsa bar was a nice touch with plenty of options. We also tried the queso fundido, which was solid and enjoyable. Good spot for a casual meal, but not one I’d go out of my way for.

Absolutely fantastic Mexican food in Telluride. We're so grateful that there are so many vegan options here! Love the self serve chips and salsa bar, I feel like that's what makes a true Mexican spot. The customers here were pretty rude, but that is not a reflection of the restaurant itself.

Step back in time to the prohibition era at The Tunnel, a speakeasy restaurant in Telluride that pays homage to the town's mining history. To gain entry, guests must provide a secret password at a small trap door before being escorted through the kitchen into an intimate dining room. With space for only 12 guests, this hidden gem offers a unique and exclusive experience. Visitors rave about the passionate chef and attentive servers, as well as the delicious six-course Northern Italian menu.
I took my parents to dinner here and our meal was AMAZING. My folks were totally blown away by the service and intimate setting, and the food wowed all of us! Mark the owner/chef gives the experience a true personal touch and makes The Tunnel a unique experience for Telluride and not to be missed. We went for the South Western American theme, and I'm hard pressed to say which of the five courses was my favorite, though the scallop/shrimp combo and bison sous-vide were soooooo good. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the cocktails here- no exaggeration- are probably the best in town. Kyle our bartender handcrafted each one with ingredients such as fresh-pressed blood orange juice (YUM). Each cocktail is specifically crafted and made for each entree to bring out the unique flavors of both the food and the beverage- seriously so tasty. We got a sneak peek of next week's Italian theme dinners, and at this rate The Tunnel might be a weekly thing for me.

I am a bit at odds writing a review because everyone will know that this place is by far one of the best (if not the best) in Telluride. Small, intimate, something like 12 courses, each one absolutely dialed-in, a fantastic wine pairing and stellar service. Worth every penny as there is no POSSIBLE way I could ever recreate this on my own....ever (well, except maybe the water botte, I could buy that and pour on my own I suppose). It was my better-half's birthday, and the staff took the time to write her a very personal, and heart-felt card....you just don't get that focus and attention to detail anywhere anymore. A very worthwhile splurge, fantastic food, exemplary service, great setting, and with the Chef Mike providing an explanation and back story for every course...could not have asked for a better, more personalized experience!

We had the pleasure of dining at The Tunnel last night, and it was a great experience from start to finish. Each of the eight courses was inventive and showcased attention to detail. The chef personally introduced every dish, and his passion for his work was evident throughout the night. We were especially impressed knowing how difficult it is for him to get support in the kitchen at this time—it’s incredible that he’s able to deliver this caliber of dining night after night. The front-of-house team was equally outstanding, providing warm, engaging service that made the evening all the more enjoyable.

We went here to celebrate our daughter's 24th birthday. We didn't really know what to expect but it very quickly became the highlight of our trip to Telluride. All of the kids (ages 24, 21, 13) - even the youngest one... have been talking about the food and the overall experience for days after. The education of both the wine and the cuisine was fantastic. The food was excellent. The staff were superb. In fact, we ended up making friends with the 2 other tables in the room and by the end of the night we were all singing Bohemian Rhapsody together. Best night ever!!!

We had the gastronomic pleasure to dine at Tunnel last evening with our daughter and son-in-law. Every course was so interesting, thoughtfully planned, and delicious. No weak courses, and there were 10! The dining is intimate, only 12 diners in a beautifully decorated space. The chef presented and described each course in detail, from the ingredients to the inspiration. Its only been open for 6 weeks. Please support this new venture so it will be open next time we are in telluride!

Nestled beneath the Village Express Lift 4, The Saloon at Gorrono Ranch Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone exploring Telluride. This charming eatery, set in a historic Basque sheep herding ranch, offers an inviting outdoor atmosphere with stunning views of the Wilson Range. Located mid-mountain on the Misty Maiden run, it’s an ideal pit stop for skiers and tourists alike.
Greatest little hut especially if you can find a seat! Warm up by the fireplace, enjoy the amazing Chili, and let the friendly bartender make you something unique!!!

Excellent on mountain spot to have a drink and enjoy the sun outside. Prices for beer were very reasonable for being in mountain. I recommend getting your drinks in the old cabin. They have hot drinks in there and draft beer.

Great place to take a ski break, listen to live music and soak up some sun on a blue bird day!
Brian B — Google review
I mean, if you want to/need to take a break while skiing or boarding, this is the spot to do it. There is plenty of room to handle crowds. Grab a spot inside or outside to really soak in the views on a clear day. Grab just a drink or some food. Service was quick and staff super friendly. When you're done, just drop right back onto a run.

Awesome place to rest and have a bite to eat. Nice menu of sandwiches, chili, baked potatoes, assorted beverages. Friendly and fast service. Often live music or a DJ. Cool outdoor seating areas like a beach and indoor in their cabin.

4 stars for prices, but I guess it is location. Food and drinks are amazing, especially the double Marg's. View can't be beat. Covid prep is awesome even with the Texas diaspora! People are very respectful of masks unlike many places in the western slope. Only con is I remember the brats being bigger when I was a kid, but maybe that is the downside of growing up.

The Timber Room is a recently opened restaurant in Telluride, offering an elegant and sophisticated menu. The establishment provides covered and heated outdoor dining, making it a cozy spot to enjoy unique dishes like mountain mezze and Cross Creek wagyu beef wellington for two. Located within the Madeline Hotel, this classic American restaurant also offers a rustic atmosphere with a full bar serving an array of wines and cocktails.
We were staying at the Madeline Hotel and stopped in for a quick bite before walking around Mountain Village. The bar area was crowded when we arrived as they had the outside doors opened up since it was so nice out. The atmosphere was great, putting off a mountain lodge vibe with very comfortable decor. We didn’t want to dine on the restaurant side so after waiting for a few minutes, a high table in the bar opened up and we grabbed it. We were promptly greeted by our server and ordered a round of cocktails - my wife got the Box Canyon Bramble and I ordered the New Fashioned. Both were exquisite! For dinner we both ended up ordering the Smashburger, which had wonderful flavor and extremely tasty fries! We had a great time here and even came back the next night for another round of cocktails before heading down to Telluride. This was a great spot!

We didn’t plan to eat in Timber Room. We were just walking around the area and my sister got hungry. So we’ve decided to try out the place. I walked in and asked the bartender if we need a reservation and he was very polite and said no, as they were not busy that day. So we got seated and ready to order. My brother-in-law wants the 32oz wagyu steak prime rib and so does my sister. Good thing the server explained it to us that one order is good for 3 people. So that’s what we did and we also ordered a couple of food. Although the steak is quite expensive but it’s worth it! We had great experience. The service and the food is perfect! We will definitely be back when we visit Telluride next time. Dine in on 09.27.2022 at 6:50pm

The vibe of this place is amazing. The cocktails are also fantastic. The food, especially either of the salmon dishes, were not fresh which was unexpected for this level of restaurant. Was not impressed with any of the dishes except the burger was okay.

1st night of opening for the season and everyone was still trying to find their vibe but service was top notch and the food was fabulous. Some items were not available but the servers were super accommodating and so nice. We would absolutely come back.

We paid $600 for what we were told was a wagu and ended up to be Cisco quality steak We thought per the photos that is was a farm to table. Frankly I have been sick after leaving the place. They placed this in cooked meat with pathetic un flavorful poor quality sides. No serving utensils. The knives could not cut the hard tough meat. Disgusting. My son left the food untouched. I forced myself as it was so expensive, I thought perhaps something’s is wrong with me. I asked for serving ustensile 3 times. The food was cold Don’t go

The Timber Room wasn't opened when we first visited Mountain Village in December of 2020. It's located within the Madeline hotel and they did a fantastic job with the layout and decor of this establishment. The Timber Room is definitely a great place to visit in Mountain Village if your looking for a higher end apres experience after a long day of skiing or hiking.

Nestled in the heart of Telluride, The Alibi is a contemporary lounge that beautifully marries modern design with the charm of traditional mountain lodges. With its exposed stone walls and warm color palette, it creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The bar boasts an impressive selection of beverages, featuring 12 rotating craft beers on tap alongside local brews available by the bottle.
Great live music! I saw Anneke Dean with herband and it was a life changing performance! The crowd was touched and saying it's the best show they've seen here!
Leslie B — Google review
We went specifically to hear a band play at Alibi so the drinks were not inexpensive, but beer was average price. Not a very large place, but adequate space and clean. They had a dance area, a long bar with many, over 20 bar stools, some cushy couches & chairs in the back to lounge in and play some free table games. Two bar tenders worked non stop to serve. We didn't eat there, so no comment.
Karen M — Google review
Awesome Staff and good vibes!! There was a complaint about the back not being able to hear the music well, then I saw someone go make a small adjustment on the deck and it sounded absolutely fantastic!
Tom W — Google review
Really enjoyed our visit and the cocktails. It’s a new bar and we stumbled upon it accidentally, and incidentally it was exactly what we were looking for. Great original beverages & delicious and strong for the price! We came back later for a band playing live music (that was great), but they honestly shouldn’t have been charging a $15 cover because it turned a lot of groups away so it was pretty empty. If we hadn’t been there earlier I wouldn’t have paid either and the band was good! They should reduce or remove the cover (at least during non peak season) because they’d likely make more money but overall it was a fun place to spend the night!

Restaurant
Rustico Ristorante is an upscale Italian dining establishment that provides a unique and romantic atmosphere for its patrons. The restaurant boasts a charming patio, complete with a river-rock fireplace, where guests can enjoy their meals. Owner Paolo Canclini's dedication to quality is evident in the locally sourced produce and grass-fed beef from nearby ranches. The extensive 1,100-bottle wine list focuses on Italian selections, particularly from Sicily.
Rustico continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Telluride! Our last visit was in 2016 and the visit for this review is from June 2025. Service was fast and consistent and the restaurant had a positive vibe throughout. Food, while expensive, was delicious. The spicy rigatoni was a specific standout. Would come back again next time we're in the area.

This is the best Italian food I've had since I was in Italy. The service was impeccable and truly warranted the accolades this establishment has earned. I really can't wait to come back for another visit. I had the Rigatoni Arrabbiata which was incredible. It had the perfect amount of spice. My wife had the ravioli which were so delicious and tender you could really tell they were made in house.

Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had a fantastic meal. We were very thankful that we seated in the cozy main dining area because the other areas looked rather sterile and uninviting. My wife’s fettuccine with creamy mushroom sauce was amazing. I had the spinach, ravioli special and it was good but not special. The house bread served with the meal was excellent. Service from Mateo (?) was friendly, helpful and attentive.

Excellent. Had dinner here for my husband’s birthday and everything was delicious. Great bread for the table, great wine list. Sat outside with their patio heaters and it was perfect. Tonight we came here for dinner after we were married. Raul was a kind, attentive and polite server. We had the Pho and Pork chop. Thank you Raul for the amazing evening!

I really liked the interior: warm lighting, cozy booths, as well as inviting “nooks” to be seated. The bar appeared an equally inviting space to belly-up to. The fries were fantastic, but the burgers left a bit to be desired. Had they been served at the medium we requested when ordering, perhaps they wouldn’t have been so dry. But, at the medium-well temps they were served, there wasn’t anything resembling juice or liquid or wet or… in any of the bites. Service wasn’t very attentive. Nice. Just not overly attentive. The soda had to be requested from another server as the food had arrived in-advance of hubs’ drink. Pretty sure it sat empty again for a bit before the server noticed. We also had to hang around upon finishing our meals waiting for the server to show up again so we could request our check. Again, nice people, just not overly attentive. My consideration is to the degree Floradora was busy (not very) staff was bored and lost track of us for hanging out with other staff members.

This was my first experience with Floradora Saloon, In Telluride, Colorado. I was hoping it was going to be great and got mildly good. For the price point I was extremely disappointed. I ordered in the middle of the day, on a Saturday and the truffle fries, looked like they came from a wrong order, cold but good flavor. They would have been delicious fresh, I do believe. I ordered the Duck Egg Rolls with really high expectations. Very cold --also-- seemed to be a pre-made batch, no crunch, kind of soggy, again good flavor over all. In the right setting, this would have been an outstanding meal, it just was not that way, this time, for me. I would still give this restaurant a chance if its also your first time. I didnt have a good "food" experience but the staff and service was great. Also including a picture of the up-to-date menu.

The moment we walked in this entire staff treated us with care and kindness! Just to mention a few we began meeting Zoe who was the friendliest greeter! Then, our Server Robben was professional, and fun giving us great recommendations! The tasty local bone in rib eyes were served hot as was the squash soup. We were celebrating and felt like Lindie the Host understood this going out of her way to make it a special night! The vibe of this historic Saloon is just cool and the reason I mainly come is, in my opinion, the view of the best Peaks in the world! My husband enjoys the inside atmosphere too so trade off and come two or three nights on your vacation! The street music was incredible too- acoustic guitar!!
Lori — Google review
I loved this place! The bartender, David, was amazing as well. The only decrease in stars was due to being out of the duck eggrolls and salmon at the start of the day. Seemed like the kitchen didn’t update David. The squash fries rocked! Otherwise drinks and food were stellar. We even went back again to have the eggrolls before we left. The Diablo chicken bowl is amazing. Try it!

This was one of our first stops in town for dinner. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was great. And the service was good. I had a the cheesesteak sandwich and fries. It was top notch. The fries were seasoned and cooked well. The sandwich came with an au jus— an unexpected but delightful surprise. My wife had an Atomic Chicken salad which she ranted and raved about. While we were there the owner came by and told a story about the most famous honing pigeon. Clearly he is a charismatic guy. The staff were polite and attentive. It’s definitely worth the stop.

Their signature Yeti burger with bacon and crispy onions is a must-try while enjoying the contemporary twist of steaming their burgers instead of traditional methods.
This is a great burger bar. The sauce selection is perfect with a few unique choices, like wasabi pesto, blueberry, ketchup, bacon mustard, and chipotle aïoli. The guy I spoke with behind the cash register was super accommodating and also very friendly and the food turned out. Perfect I got the Zonie and it’s everything I wanted. The side of crinkle fries was a healthy portion as well. Would recommend this spot.

On vacation and staying in Ouray. Visited Telluride and wanted a quick bite so stopped here. Throughout my colorado trip, i’ve had mediocre food with high prices and just ok food overall. However, this place is the highlight of my trip in terms of food. The fancy restaurants around town couldn’t cut it and this burger joint surpassed them in terms of food quality and pricing. I had the yeti burger and my date had the colossal with fries. Absolutely everything was delicious. And the prices were REASONABLE, not crazy like the other local restaurants. The service was great too with a good selection of sauces available and food options. I wish this kind of food quality was more common in this area. 10/10 recommend.

Located within the Inn at Lost Creek, Siam's Talay Grille was a great little breakfast buffet spot for us in the mornings. We stayed at the Madeline next door but were able to visit here for their breakfast buffet that is free for guests of the Inn and 18 dollars per person if your not a guest. In any event this is a good spot to keep in mind as it can be difficult to get breakfast in the village if you get a late start to the morning. Talay has plenty of room and both the views from the deck and buffet were great. Service was good too!

We didn't have a reservation so we sat at a high top in the bar. Worst bar stools ever. So uncomfortable. Normally I wouldn't mention that but given it took FOREVER for our food to come out, the uncomfortable seats just made it worse. At one point my husband and I just stood at our table while waiting for the food, because the stools were so uncomfortable. When our food finally came out my shrimp was undercooked - it was partially translucent. I took one bite and couldn't eat it. The bartender offered to send it back but at that point we had waited so long I just wanted to get out of there. So I just ate the fried rice portion of my dish and that was it. My husband had a beef dish that was good, but it had too strong of a coconut flavor for my liking. They took 30% off our food for the long wait, so at least they tried to make up for it, and they did offer us dessert but we declined. The only good part of our experience was the bartender - he was great!

Decent thai food in moutain village. We were able to sit right down during the summer season. Staff was nice. They were out of most beer on the menu and cocktail and wine menu were pretty bad. Noodles were very overpriced ($30+ for drunken noodles). The food was actually better than I expected and I enjoyed it. Noodles were cooked well, sauce was good, chicken was cooked well. Weird part is there were carmelized onions on the pad see ew which is def strange and not traditional.

We went for lunch on July 5. They were extremely busy. One gal for ordering, preparing drinks and delivering food. Saw her take a Tequila shot with a customer while working. Alpinist & the Goat is a cozy restaurant located above an art gallery, offering a unique fondue experience with international options and fresh ingredients. The cheeses used in their fondue are sourced from grass-fed European cows and are melted to perfection, providing a smooth and satisfying taste. Guests can customize their fondue with options like Basque fondue or Scrapple.
I don’t understand all the poor reviews. This place is quaint, cozy and has a unique atmosphere. Our server, Stella, was knowledgeable when answering our questions about the menu and the wine. She was professional with a great sense of humor. The gentleman behind the bar/kitchen, Irvin, delivered the same amount of professionalism and with a fun and personal twist just like Stella. We had a filet board in addition to our fondue. Both were delicious! We enjoyed our food and the overall fondue experience. I would absolutely recommend. How can anyone not enjoy themselves while sipping bevs and dipping food in a giant pot of cheese?!
Julia M — Google review
Weirdest place ever. You can tell by the other reviews here and I have to agree this is truly the Alpinist and the Ghost. The experience was peculiar to say the least… upon coming in no one helped us until we asked them where to sit. Then about half way through our dinner they asked us for the name on our reservation… not sure why that matters halfway through the meal but okay. Also the place was literally empty so not sure why we even needed a reservation. As for the servers, they were physically present but aloof — basically I don’t know if they knew they existed. As for the food… most mediocre fondue ever! Not to mention they were also out of half of the sides and cheeses. Then for the dessert they were also out of strawberries. They served us chocolate fondue with pound cake and cookies which they literally opened out of a plastic wrap right next to us and put on the plate. Not to say it was inedible but they charge you some very steep prices considering the quality of the food and service. The restaurant as a whole was a weird vibe. They were blasting the strangest music ever. Bathroom is a mess with a bucket in the middle of the floor catching the leaks from the ceiling. Only highlight is that my family cannot stop laughing about this comedy of errors. Can’t forget that two days later they call us and say they have an open tab and demand we pay. We paid the night of the dinner and trust we were not going to pay again for this. Just when we thought we escaped the ghost haunted us again.
Niamh S — Google review
I recently visited this fondue restaurant, and I must say it was a disappointing experience. First of all, the prices were outrageously high for what they offered. You would expect a premium experience for such costs, but that was far from the case. The ambiance was terrible, with holes in the ceiling that made the place look run-down and neglected. It really took away from any potential enjoyment of the meal. To top it off, the service was incredibly slow. We waited ages for our food, and when it finally arrived, it wasn't even worth the wait. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and find somewhere better to dine.
Brandon F — Google review
When we got there we had to find our table ourselves. When we ordered our drinks we had to go to the bar and get them. My daughter even had to go to the bar to get water! They were not coming to the table to check on us except for when we ordered food. My daughter asked for hot chocolate and the waiter said that they didn’t have that even though it was on the menu. I also asked for Prosecco and they also said they didn’t have that but there was a bottle of it in the bar. Apparently they started kicking people out of the restaurant because they allegedly couldn’t serve them. We were a party of 13 with 5 children and they took an extremely long time to get our food, it took more then an hour and a half for our fondue and salads to come (the salads had nothing cooked in them). They brought out one dish at a time for a party of 13. After we got our food we were eating for a little bit until the fire alarm went off and there was only one exit which was a very narrow staircase. We were outside for about half an hour while the fire alarm was still going off for a little smoke in the kitchen and our party of 13 was standing outside. One person from our party of 13 went inside the restaurant after we were told there was no fire and the people working there told us it’s all of the staffs first day with no manager present.

The most bizarrely bad restaurant experience I've had in my life. Somehow it was the first day for everyone there (seems to be a re-occurring theme in other reviews) and nobody was trained. We were told to get our own drinks from the bar. Food came either incredibly slowly or not at all. There is no way this place would survive anywhere but a tourist town with a fresh supply of new customers who don't know any better. Avoid at all costs.

Beyond disappointing experience here with my group of 10. Several things were greatly missed. The service was sub par, the ceiling had multiple leaks with buckets set throughout the restaurant and bathroom, they were completely out of beer, the cocktails weren’t great. The fondue is overpriced considering all you get is seasoned ciabatta and apples, which weren’t even cut evenly. The chocolate fondue came with old Strawberries. The ambience was weird and quiet with music playing on and off. I’m very disappointed that we wasted our group dinner night on this place, I would avoid at all costs.

We have come here for the last three years and this meal was the absolute worse. The place smelled like body odor. We waited one hour for drinks. My kids ordered Shirley Temples and we had to send them back multiple times because they weren’t made correctly. The food was mediocre and some of the filet tasted like Salmon. We were never even asked how we wanted our meat cooked. The quality has gone down and service was terrible. The prices are so high but after all this is Telluride. The building where restaurant sits is falling apart as there are multiple leaks in the roof. I had to use coffee filters to dry my hands from bathroom. I am not sure how health inspector has not closed this place down.

My first impression of the Alpinist and the Ghost was of its (rather narrow) entry hallway. This was because, while we had a reservation for 7:30 PM, we were not seated until more than an hour later. The group next to us, who also had a reservation and were forced to wait nearly an hour, could not fit into the hallway with us. Once we were finally seated, we found that, implausibly, the dining room itself was even smaller than the hallway. The décor of our room (there were two in the restaurant) could best be described as effortless, in the sense that clearly, zero effort was put into it. It was seemingly also used for storage; its corners were filled with extra chairs, extra fondue machines, extra coat hangers. The room was so cramped that our waiters physically could not serve the people seated at the back half of our table. Notice the plural use of “waiters”—this is because there were three kind but extraordinarily confused waiters working our table tonight, all three of whom arrived at our table at different times to repeatedly offer us menus, food, and the check in a kind of Groundhog-day-like cycle. The waiters’ confusion extended to the menu, too; when we ordered the salmon salad, we were told confidently that the salmon salad was not on the menu. When we showed our waitress that the salmon salad was indeed on the menu, she remained clearly unconvinced, but acquiesced: “Okay, I’ll put it down, then.” After an extensive wait time, we were served a plain salad instead. After a string of mishaps—dishes ordered but forgotten, incorrect dishes served and wait times that rivaled the hour it took us to even get seated, our correct food finally arrived. It was at this point that we realized how misleading the menu really was: an over-70-dollar fondue only included bread, apples, and cheese. You had to pay an extra $56 for a side of meat. The other dishes were similarly sparse and incredibly mediocre, especially for their offensively inflated prices. By the time our second waiter offered us the check for the second time, we were tired, unsatisfied, and ready to leave. It took a mysteriously long time for our credit card to be swiped (upwards of 15 minutes) even though the restaurant was otherwise completely empty. This allowed us plenty of time to reflect on our dining experience, which we couldn’t help but laugh at, if only because it seemed like a heavy-handed parody of what a bad restaurant should be. In conclusion: within the Alpinist and the Ghost, laws of time, space, and civility were obsolete. Only Murphy’s Law remained: anything that could go wrong, invariably did go wrong. Joking aside, though, the meal was close to $80 a head (we didn’t drink; we should have), no efforts were made to truly apologize for how late we were seated despite our 7:30P reservation nor for the string of mistakes made. The best we got was “it’s crowded” and “this is out of our control”. The other family waiting in the hallway next to us included an older woman who clearly had Parkinsons and had been waiting close to 40 minutes by the time we started chatting (commiserating) together. Our family goes on a ski vacation once a year. We work hard all year to have a nice vacation, and nice meals on our vacation. To say our experience was mediocre is an overstatement; that the dinner was almost $400 adds insult to injury

Ramen restaurant
Cocktail bar
Wood Ear is a unique restaurant in Telluride, Colorado that offers a fusion of Asian and classic American cuisine with creative twists. The menu features Texas BBQ staples like smoked brisket and pork shoulder incorporated into their ramen dishes. The Hill Country ramen, a standout dish, combines chopped smoked brisket, garlic-infused smoked bone broth, pickles, roasted corn, wood ear mushrooms, and cured soft egg. This underground spot also serves pork tacos and boasts a cozy and distinctive interior decor.
Beautiful atmosphere and incredible food! The Buffalo cauliflower was amazing and everyone loved their ramens. The service was also great. The entire upstairs was full and one person was managing it all with ease. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area!

We had a great experience dining here. We didn’t have reservations so we sat upstairs in the first-come-first-serve section. They have an extensive cocktail menu. We ordered the Brussels sprouts then the brisket and pork belly rice plates. Both were delicious. I would highly recommend this place.
Maria D — Google review
After a recent trip to Texas, Texas/Asian fusion is one of my favorite cuisines and I was impressed to find this spot in Telluride. My husband and I shared: - Grilled Brisket Nigiri - Buttermilk Chicken Rice Bowl - Pork on Pork Ramen - Raw Berry Bar All of the savory items were fantastic. The nigiri and rice bowl were my favorites. The chicken was so crispy and I loved the sauce. The ramen was also very good. I loved the BBQ twist on it. I personally didn't love the raw berry bar. I was hoping for more passion fruit flavor, but it wasn't as flavorful as passion fruit typically is. My only complaint is that the service was very bad. We were the only ones there and the waiter was ignoring us watching TV. If I'm in Telluride for dinner again, I would absolutely come back here.

This was a nice treat for dinner after driving, hiking, and shopping all day. Many of the restaurants were closed since we're here between tourist seasons. But that was fine because we wanted ramen as soon as we saw their menu. My girlfriend is vegetarian, so the Mushroom ramen was perfect. I had the Pork on Pork ramen with pulled pork and pork belly. A superb broth with an egg and many good veggies. We also had the Buffalo Cauliflower for a starter which was also excellent. Our server Danielle was the only one on duty in the bar, yet she was so friendly and efficient. Unfortunately we got so full that we couldn't have one of the 3 enticing dessert options. Maybe next time.
Ray S — Google review
How does this not have 5 starts?! First of all our server Danielle was knowledgeable and so kind! She told us about everything that goes into making their delicious brisket and told us it’s smoked for 12 hours! They had an incredible mocktail menu with adaptogens and delicious flavors. We tried the buffalo cauliflower with coconut ranch and the brisket ramen. 10/10 must try if you are in Telluride for Dinner! Atmosphere was also great 👍

Genuinely enjoyed every bit of this dining experience!! Food was 😋 perfect! Chicken Ban Mhi, brisket and pork belly Ramen, And a Jasmine rice dish with Peruvian, sweet peppers and barbecue tofu. 10 out of 10. This was at the upstairs bar area which was so nice! Love the feel of everything. Impressive selection for upstairs bar. Jeff, our bartender was attentive & worthy! Took the Asian slaw salad home with blackened shrimp and the red pepper vinaigrette was insanely unique! Cashew cabbage as a side with the sandwich was my least favorite. Not flavorful and too much of everything. Underwhelming. Last but not least, I had the waffle sweet potato fries and they were to die for. Quite possibly the best I've ever had in a sweet potato fry!!!! Check this spot out! I'm looking forward to trying everything.

Side Work Restaurant in Telluride offers a higher mid-range to expensive dining experience with delicious food. The outdoor heated cocoons can be reserved for a cozier and more private dining experience. The menu features a variety of flavorful dishes, and the staff provides good service in a small, intimate setting with nice ambiance. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of food and extensive wine list make it worth it.
Tony treated us with the best service we have had in recent memory. Incredible wine selection, food was flavored and presented with perfection, and the vibe was ON POINT. Request tony as he is best in show. Top notch service and easy on the eyes 😘 Will definitely be back.

We shared several dishes among three people, and every plate was executed perfectly. The Caviar Eggs, Octopus Española, and Hamachi were absolute standouts—bold, balanced, and beautifully plated. The quality of ingredients and attention to detail in preparation really came through across the entire meal. The venue itself is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed—elevated but still welcoming. While the service wasn’t quite on par with the food—somewhat inattentive and not especially warm—it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Telluride and looking for a refined yet creative culinary experience.

Walked in for dinner and was able to get seated quickly. It was a bit noisy due to a party behind us having a great time but was completely different after they left. We had the hamachi, burrata & octopus to start (all were fantastic, octopus was cooked well). We split salmon for entree (melt in your mouth) and had tres leches for dessert. Best meal we’ve had in telluride.

Small intimate setting with good ambience. Quality food and extensive wine list. Staff is randomly dressed and doesn’t appear to serve any specific table - unusual but makes for good service. A bit pricey and was surprised to see an additional service charge titled “employee health.“ Overall a good experience.

A little pricey but good service and lots of options to share or try lots of small plates. The corn and crab risotto was fantastic- just the right amount of sweet and texture. The salmon really embraces the citrus poached flavor.

My husband and I rented out Side Work for our wedding reception dinner. It was the best decision we made! Maury made planning of the event so easy, which was a dream. The service was unreal! Hunter, Josh, and Will were amazing! The dining experience was so intimate and perfect for any occasion. All their cocktails especially the espresso martinis were amazing. As for the food, the filet, hamachi crudo, and spinach and goat cheese empanadas were UNREAL! This place is such a hidden gem of Telluride and I can’t wait to go back!

Nestled in Telluride's West End, The West End Bistro at The Hotel Telluride is a charming lodge offering breakfast and dinner. With a limited but enticing menu featuring pasta, burgers, and protein-centered entrees, this cozy restaurant also serves cocktails and wine. Guests have praised the quality of meals and the attentive service.
This restaurant is located in the lobby of Hotel Telluride. We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and had dinner & breakfast at the restaurant every day. The quality and display of their dishes is simply outstanding. Everything we ordered was excellent and super tasty. For dinner, their trout and kebab dishes are highly recommended. The breakfast salmon avocado toast was excellent. The atmosphere and setting of the place is super relaxing. The staff is spectacular! Attentive, funny, friendly, and very welcoming. I would give the place more stars if possible! Highly recommend.

Everyone was tired so we decided to have dinner at the hotel. It couldn’t have been better. We were at a cozy table near the fireplace. We had Chelsea who was our server and she was bubbly, attentive and very sweet. She helped us select a nice bottle of wine to kick off things off. We all started with either the Tomato or Butternut squash soup and everyone said both soups were outstanding (we’re all from New York City and a critical crowd) . Our main entrees were also very tasty. In the end the 6 of us couldn’t imagine having gone out into town and and been at a noisy, crowded restaurant after a long day of skiing. This was a perfect evening!

We ate here twice for breakfast and dinner. Dinner the first night my wife and I had the Aztec soup. This was an awesome tortilla soup that was filling and satisfying. The chef can adjust the heat according to your taste. On the dinner we had the ribeye steak and the bone in pork chop. Both entrees had an excellent presentation with sauteed vegetables surrounding the meat. The ribeye steak was placed plated with drizzled balsamic vinegar and wilted spinach. For breakfast, we had eggs benedict and french toast. The french toast was thin, sliced french baguette on a plate with drizzled raspberry sauce and two pieces of crispy bacon. All the meals we had are as good as any restaurant we have had in Telluride. For the dog lovers there is a table and chairs in the lobby of the Hotel Telluride that the restaurant staff will bring your food to. The staff is friendly and attentive.

This was the first restaurant we ate at when we arrived in Mountain Village/Telluride, CO. The guy at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He suggested food items for my wife and she chose a chicken wrap, I believe. I ordered the cup of chili and it was delicious. Cool view from the table as Mountain Village center is beautiful. Beautiful buildings and architecture.
Rodney M — Google review
We didn’t actually eat here—and that’s telling in itself. The setup is a mess for a restaurant. You stand in one line to order food, then another line to order from the bar. After that, you’re left to hunt for a table and hope you can find a spot before your food gets cold. It feels like a gamble, not a dining experience. On top of that, why can’t I order both food and drinks from the same person? Instead, it’s double the waiting and double the hassle. And then, just to add insult to inconvenience, they prompt you for a tip while ordering. A tip…for what exactly? Handing me my food? Making me stand in line twice? Finding my own table? We decided to skip the chaos and went to Tomboy Tavern instead. I’d recommend the reader do the same.

I came across this spot on Google Maps and thought, let’s give it a try. It’s a chill, small restaurant with a laid-back vibe and a few outdoor tables. You order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. We got the tin can nachos and the fish tacos. The food came out fast, and the tin can nachos had a fun, eye catching presentation. The person who brought it over was super friendly, which added to the experience. As for the food both dishes were excellent. The nachos were flavorful and satisfying, and the fish tacos were incredibly fresh and packed with bold, well-balanced spices. Their high Google rating is well deserved. Definitely a place worth checking out—you won’t be disappointed.

Great vibe. Nice tequila bar. Excellent location. Food was good but in my option needed some refinement. I just don’t love large chunks of zucchini but maybe that’s personal preference. Nice hot sauce collection. Wish the vegan nachos had more chips to sauce ratio. But overall can’t complain and would dine here again even if not my first choice. Immaculate vibe

Uno Dos Tres Tacos & Tequila is THAT GIRL!! We are so incredibly thankful to this establishment for working with us as we held an intimate ceremony in Telluride. During the planning process we reached out and the owner called us and openly discussed all our options: private event, catering, or even simply ordering to-go, and we appreciated the transparency and respect for our budget goals. We opted for to-go and everything was prepped perfectly, allowing for an easy transition that we could send a family member to pick up the paid and tipped order. Everyone loved the tacos!! We (bride & groom) loved it so much we came back the next day to sample more of the menu. I cannot recommend enough, the staff was kind to us, the food was prepared well, and the guests were happy!

Just the right spice and price The breakfast menu is small and mighty. A delicious carnitas taco or burrito The espresso in the latte is weak and tastes more like coffee. I’d recommend skipping that until the beans are improved
Jennifer B — Google review
El Rhino charges entirely too much for a breakfast burrito that’s mostly refried beans. They asked if we would like to add avocado but then charged $3.00 for it without any disclosure of additional costs. My basic “bean” burrito cost around $17. It was tasteless and dry without any green chili nor enough ingredients (egg/meat) to make it worth the high prices they charged. This was literally the worst breakfast burrito I have ever eaten in my life. There was barely any egg or meat to justify the exorbitant prices they charged. My family ordered three breakfast burritos with avocado and regular coffee that cost around $70. It’s unethical and wrong to first ask if people want avocado and then charge them such high prices for each without barely any other ingredients other than beans. Businesses like this should go out of business! When it comes down to it, it’s a matter of principle; not nickel and diming your customers for profit. It took every ounce of my patience not to go to the counter and give them a piece of my mind. People should avoid this restaurant. To respond to the owner, the burrito barely had any cheese. If it did, it would’ve been noted earlier. As mentioned, the burrito was dry, and if there was tons of cheese, it wouldn’t have been so terrible!!!! Thanks for the response but no thanks. You weren’t even apologetic. 👎👎👎

Honestly one of the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. If you're a foodie and appreciate great carnitas and a wonderful home made salsa (chipotle I think), give rusty rhino a try.

You know great nachos when you can't help digging in before snapping a photo. Outstanding new food options including these nachos with pulled pork, tacos with homemade tortillas and quesadillas, all made from scratch. Don't miss this little gem. It's an easy stop off the Double Cabins ski trail (lift 10), right next to the Gondola station. Nice patio area for eating Al fresco. Easy jump right back on slopes. Great coffee, breakfast burritos and drinks. After your nachos, head to the famous Place de Crepes in Mountain Village for amazing, authentic French crepes. Yum all day!

Ignore the 1 star reviews—salty starbucks lovers. I had an americano which was excellent, and the BEST breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. The breakfast burrito is massive and could probably be shared by two people unless you’re super hungry. Wouldn’t change a thing about this place!

Nestled in the heart of Mountain Village, Communion Wine Bar is a chic and inviting destination that promises an exceptional experience for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike. With an impressive selection of wines available by the glass or bottle, this modern establishment also features a rotating menu curated by knowledgeable sommeliers. The ambiance is bright and sophisticated, adorned with stunning gemstones and breathtaking mountain imagery that sets the perfect backdrop for relaxation after a day on the slopes.
We had a wonderful evening here splitting a tasty bottle of red and chatting it up with our server, Heather. She was a sweetheart and the wine was great. They also made room for our stroller so our baby could sit with us, which was appreciated. No complaints except we only wish they’d stay open later!

Neat wine bar in Mountain Village. We barely were able to swing by based on when we were in town/their operating hours, but the pours we tried were nice and the atmosphere inside relaxing.

Communion is pretty amazing. Chef Dustin is extremely creative and is always willing to share his insights and local flavor. Seriously, the food is so refreshing and unique and delicious. We went for both the Mexican menu and mushroom inspired menu and were blown away. The staff are also incredible. Ooly provides awesome service to all their guests. A must do.

I recently had my first visit to Communion and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere of Communion is bright, modern, sophisticated, and welcoming. The decor includes majestic gemstones and pictures of sweeping mountain scenes. The list of wines as well as appetizers is varied and balanced. I had some decadent squid paired with a crisp Pinot Grigio; it was the perfect pairing for a hot summer evening. This hidden gem wine bar is a new addition to my neighborhood, but I anticipate that it will become a place where I am a regular!

Such an awesome addition to the mountain village! The staff is incredible and the wine choices are top notch. We also enjoyed the charcuterie options for a snack. We will definitely be back!

This is one of my first stops anytime I come to Telluride. Once you have visited you will understand why. This small but inviting establishment offers more than you can imagine. Looking for a wine to sip? A wonderful cocktail? A small bite to eat? Charcuterie to share? Great service and knowledgeable staff offers it all. Oullie and Dustin have created a great environment to relax in after a long day in town or on mountain. If in Mountain Village, this is a most stop spot for anyone looking for a great place to unwind!

Communion is my favorite new place in Telluride. The vibe is sophisticated yet laid back, and the staff is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about all things epicurean. The wine list is superb and the service impeccable. If you love wine, then you'll love Communion.

We went to Sunday dinner and it was an amazing 5 course meal with some of the best food I have ever ate. I am still dreaming of the octopus. It was paired perfectly with a tasting of wines. We had the best time!
