Our Table Jamestown is an example of the word *art* in culinary arts. The decorations were eclectic, a mix of brewery, bakery, and old school seafood restaurant from Portland, Maine. The food was not the same old, same old, but many of the common menu items were served with a unique twist. The cocktails were fun and elegantly designed for a summer experience. Walking in, you will see that Our Table has just gotten a full bar, as they informed us that they just got a license for it. And the quality of the cocktails are equal to the food. Their watermelon paloma had watermelon juice in it, with a detectable amount of watermelon pulp that gave it a hydrating sensation. That will definitely be a summer favorite. The food was fun and affordable when compared to other Jamestown restaurants. Their Caesar Salad cannot be measured or compared to that of a West Bay brewery. The crisp lettuce wedge is adorned with a parmesan vinaigrette and fresh nut granola. The granola was the unique take on a crouton that made it gluten-free. The sweetness of the granola balanced out with the salt flavor of the parmesan vinaigrette. One of my favorite Caesar Salad experiences so far. The decorations were a part of the experience, too. An open kitchen is always a fun part of the performance of a restaurant. Bakery goods were lined up on a table for all to see and, perchance, to take home. Our Table is a smaller place, near the ferry that takes Jamestowners to Newport, and just across the street from the fire station. Consider making this one of your summer stops and you won't be disappointed!

Went here for our anniversary and we were amazed by how good the food was! We started with the prosciutto brussel sprouts and cheddar biscuits and I was worried they would over shadow our entrees but I was wrong. The signature and lamb burgers were delicious with such a great combination of flavors. Definitely a great place to go for a dinner. Very happy with the prices too

Chef/Owner Marc Alexander is a genuine human being. He was friendly and professional. Shannon our server was awesome. The food was fresh and delicious. The Lamb burger, prepared chefs' choice, was incredible. The salmon dishes were extremely fresh and tasty. Save room for dessert. All desserts are made in house.

Amazing family run restaurant! The chicken, halibut, and burger were all delicious. Very “from scratch.” I think this may be the best restaurant in Jamestown at the moment.

I am so bummed about this place! After reading all the reviews, I was so excited to try it. Let me first state that the staff were so sweet and handled everything perfectly. The food, however, was a different story. I never send food back, but I took a bite of the citrus chicken and immediately knew something was off. It was inedibly salty and the texture was extremely chewy and rubbery. I'm not sure if it was just brined for too long or old or what. They offered me an alternative and I went with the tomato soup, which supposedly everyone raves about. It had the opposite problem as the chicken: no salt. No flavor at all really. I had to ask for salt and absolutely obliterate it to get any flavor. The pork belly bites were pretty yummy and the salmon was delicious. They took both the chicken and soup off the bill, which was extremely appreciated. I just wish the food had been up to par with the reviews. I feel crazy! I need to know if I just got a bad batch tonight and if this was a fluke or if people just really love flavorless soup and rubbery salty chicken.

Very cute restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. The salmon was great. They have local beers on tap and the food came out quickly and hot! Perfect date night.

My husband and I had high hopes for this place from seeing all the fantastic reviews posted. Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal and it was our first time in Jamestown so not a great first impression. Things initially started off fine, we were served our drinks and appetizer swiftly, but since the front patio where they seat outside is so compact, it’s not easy for anyone to navigate around, especially with heaters posted up and pathways being really narrow. It felt super cramped and since I was sitting more on the outside, I just felt in the way the whole time, which was uncomfortable. When I got up to get something and went back to sit down, I did get bumped into. Dinner took a while to come out, which we understood, it was on the busier side, but both of our meals were pretty average. My husband’s chicken dish was $27 and while the chicken itself was a decent portion, the sides were sparse. It was basically 3 fingerling potatoes with some green beans. Menus didn’t even have prices listed so we had to look online. Since we were outside, my mussels kept getting swarmed by a few bees which was getting really irritating. While I recognize that’s out of their control, clearly it’s a bit of an issue with their outdoor setup since the table behind us also had bees around them with the same dish getting swarmed. Not an easy meal to eat either since some of the mussels were sealed shut. They offered to move us inside, but at that point, I was halfway through and just gave up between the closed mussels and bees swarming around. Just seemed like everything was on a delay, felt chaotic with too many people shifting around in a tight space, especially since being outside made everything feel cramped.

A fabulous place to eat outdoor if you are in the Newport area. If you are staying in Newport, it is worth paying the toll and crossing the bridge over to get away from the crowd and enjoy the ambience here. They have several outdoor seating areas with the huge beach tree as the backdrop. Servers were attentive. All the dishes were well executed. Highly recommend.

Reality!!! Had very high expectations but it all simmered down in minutes! Looks great and fancy and all, but the menu is completely different when you go there, it’s not what you see on Google Maps & go! Don’t trust that, too pricey for not so great food! What bothered me is, how unusual to just attract customers with low prices and when they actually order, it’s a completely different story! I don’t care paying, but expect to have good food! I paid a $70 for nothing! Wasted experience Quantity pretty less for the price. The stars are only for the service

We had a great time with friends. The food was excellent. The shrimp with grits and the calamari were very tasty. The homemade pasta with shrimp, scallops, grilled swordfish and salmon were delicious. Cocktails and desserts were also delicious. Highly recommended this restaurant, we will definitely be back.

This review doesn’t reflect the service, they are consistently fantastic. What it does reflect is the food and prices. Outrageous to charge the amount they do when their chefs don’t even know to salt pasta water. Their appetizers are fine, the dessert is pretty good, but just because you’re on Jamestown doesn’t mean you can charge exorbitant amounts for sub par food. I’ve been to Beech several times and it’s the same story. Pretty disappointing for such an iconic location.

Had two amazing meals at Beech this past week. Some of the best calamari I've ever had. Over the coarse of the week we had ordered almost everything on the menu and it was all 10/10. The only thing that needed a little work was the espresso martini but that might have just been a one off. This restaurant was so great and highly recommended.

Great Sunday brunch location. Say outside on under the pergola with a water view. Good selection of brunch goodies. Lox Benedict was delicious. Staff was friendly and gave great service. Will be going back for dinner next.

Great oasis in Jamestown for atmosphere food and drinks. The grand Margarita was just right amount of alcohol and lime juice. The clam chowder was chunky savoury. I saw other dishes going by with big chunks of clam cakes and fairly large pizzas. There is live music almost every night. Would go back for food and music!

Staff was definitely overwhelmed on the 4th of July but definitely handled it and were friendly as well as accommodating!👍 stopped in for a quick drink & bite. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was too! A perfect place to stop by or stay. We fixed the flag before we left (Good deed=good Karma) Excellent and wonderful experience 👍🌺❤️

A popular, local restaurant and bar... While the food and service are quite good, it is the entertainment that is this establishment's headliner, featuring local artists who never failed to put on a great show, often with no cover charges! Don't hesitate to pay the Narragansett Cafe a visit!

The best clam cowder and clam cakes ! Prices are reasonable. The drinks are nice and cold.

I haven’t been to the Ganny since the new owners took over. Stopped in today to grab a draft beer and some clam cakes. Clam cakes were like rubber, probably the worst I’ve ever had. My bill was $18.50, clam cakes were $8.95. Bud lite draft must have been $8/9. Very disappointed. Probably won’t go back.

My new favorite dive bar (I hold that term in very high regard so you know). I have a little bit of bias bc I host trivia on Tuesdays but the staff is awesome, the food is yummy and we always have a good time. So I recommend checking it out!

Came here for lunch on a whim. The setting was beautiful and the atmosphere upscale and comfortable. Amazing views of the water. We were promptly greeted and sat by the hostess, with our waitress not far behind. Waters and drink orders were prompt and kept full. Lunch was delicious. Fish and chips, Mediterranean chicken, and the Striped Bass special were all delicious. Looking forward to returning again!

What a hidden gem on the ocean! The restaurant was absolutely amazing, with excellent service from start to finish. We had the cod and the lobster pasta — both were a 10+, truly the best we’ve ever had. A special mention to our server, Olivia, who was incredibly attentive and always right there when we needed anything. Her friendly, professional service made an already wonderful meal even better. Highly recommend!

Five stars across the board. We were in town for a concert and are in our fifties. It was not too crowded, the atmosphere was wonderful, especially being on the waterfront. We ate outside and our server, Lily, was excellent...super friendly and helpful but not bothersome. We ordered the lobster roll and fish and chips, and for drinks we ordered a Pink Peppah and a Sunset Thyme, really enjoyed them all. We would stop back again for sure if our future travels take us this way. Well done, JB's!

Nice place right on the water it was a very hot day and it was nice having dinner with all the windows open with the ocean breeze blowing at you. Got some oysters and chowder. The menu kind of sucks not alot of options , no clam cakes which I thought was weird and not much of a raw bar , the oysters were not even advertised I had to ask for them. The chowder was good, but for 50 dollars for my entire meal I expected more than a tiny bowl of chowder.

Food was fantastic for smaller plate breakfast food. The staff was really friendly and helpful at all times. The view is fantastic and this seems to be a small hidden gem in the area. Parking can be an issue so plan accordingly. I would visit here again.

We decided to eat out since there was a Nor’easter while we were camping in the area. We chose JB’s because it was along the water and had a decent looking menu. We ordered the NE clam chowder, salmon, short rib dinner, and hot lobster roll. All were delicious. If only the weather had been nicer the view would have been great. It was a little busy but we did not feel ignored/not taken care of or rushed out when we were done eating. Not too loud so you could have a conversation and hear each other. I would recommend JB’s, great food! The parking lot is more convenient to the hotel, we had to wind our way around the hotel to get to the restaurant based on where we ended up parking.

Excellent atmosphere, outdoor fire pits, food is fresh and well plated. Enjoyed a great evening with wonderful service here. Great spot out of the main area - a little lighter crowd which made for a peaceful evening!

Ferry Wharf in Jamestown, RI is such a hidden gem! We came here for their annual fireworks show and it did not disappoint. We brought a blanket and set up on the field just behind the wharf—it was the perfect spot with a clear, stunning view of the entire show. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, and the fireworks themselves were absolutely spectacular. It felt like the perfect summer night. We’ll definitely be making this a yearly tradition. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a scenic, unforgettable way to enjoy the 4th or any summer celebration!

Fantastic!!! Lobster Benedict is my favorite meal now. Soooo good!!! Great atmosphere, service, food quality. Can't say enough. Bloody Mary was delicious as well.

The prices were reasonable as well as the atmosphere. The food was tolerable and the service was horrendous! We were seated for about 15 minutes before we were handed menus and I had to flag down a waitress for that. We ordered two salads and an order of chowder and clam cakes. After an hour of patiently sitting there waiting the food had still not arrived. I tried to call out to the manager as she passed our table but she pretended not to see us. Finally I went up to talk to her. She ignored me and it was the cook who spoke to me. I explained the situation and said that if they thought it was going to take longer than 5 minutes we would leave. The cook assured me that they would get right on it and they did. The manager didn’t even apologize or check on us. We will never eat there again.

This place is a fantastic hidden gem!! Right on the water in Jamestown on The Wharf!! The food was excellent from the appetizers to the main course and even their dessert was incredible even though we were full already. January our server was fantastic, friendly and kept the drinks coming which were also delicious!! Jerry the Chef came out and checked on us throughout our meal and truly knows how to put together a plate!! My boyfriend, his friend and I will definitely be back!! Best part is they say they are open year round!!

We stop by for quick snack. We loved the local wine and beer, clam cakes with chowder, and the service. Loved the atmosphere, beautiful view outside, music, made for a lovely summer day, it was great!!!! Ps- Thanks for the glasses!!!

The food was decent, but we waited a long time for our food-- over an hour after we sat down. Restaurant was not crowded at the time with many empty tables inside. We were brought a couple incorrect orders and never received some of our drinks.

This place is really nice and pretty authentic. All their tacos and quesadillas come on corn tortillas. We ordered the Nachos w/ Barbacoa, queso blanco, lettuce, quesadilla with carnitas, veggie burrito bowl with beans, Tacos El pastor, and quesadilla with carnitas. I was a little disappointed that the tacos al pastor did not come with chunks of pineapple but other than that everything was very good. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in Jamestown.

This place operationally is a complete disaster. It's constantly understaffed and the people working there are trying so hard and are so lovely and kind but they are just completely set up for failure. We've been coming here for years, even when they were just a little taco shack on Dutch Harbor and the service and quality of food has been in decline over the last few years, but our most recent visit has been the worst and we've sworn off this place, as well as sharing the total decline of this place with our neighbors. We waited 1 HOUR for two bowls and then when we brought it back home to eat, we found a METAL NAIL IN THE LETTUCE. To make things worst, it took FOUR separate calls (we were told our message would be passed on to management) and follow-up visits to the location over the course of two weeks to get a refund. There was no apology at all during this time and I am just appalled by the total lack of care and food safety at this place.

I was a regular at the Providence store, tried Jamestown today and was very disappointed. Two tacos were put in one small container, everything was soggy, with little to no ingredients. The burrito was very average. Please get better, would like to come back.

Love their burritos, they’re my favorite in the state, but they sure do make it hard to order them. From what I can tell they’re supposed to be open on a Friday night at the end of May (had to ask the Providence store when I was last there because there’s no way to find out when they’re open in Jamestown). The only way to order is to go online, use their app, or go order in person and wait 20-30 mins for food. The whole appeal of the app or online ordering is so you can order ahead and don’t have to wait. The app doesn’t work, nor does their online ordering system, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone. This is 2 Fridays in a row when they’re supposed to be open for the season. I usually order from them weekly and wish the Jamestown store was open year round, but they’re making it really hard for me to give them business because it’s impossible to order. I’m posting this in hopes management will see it and consider regular updates to hours so public will know when they’re open, allow phone ordering or at least customer service, and better infrastructure or back end support for the app and online ordering. Sorry for ranting, sincerely, hangry burrito enthusiast.

We visited twice during our stay in Jamestown and was so impressed with the dishes we ordered! We used to live in California and miss the fresh Mexican food and veggies. The meat, rice, and beans were amazing as well. The churros were also incredible! While I enjoyed the pickled radishes, each time there were just a few too many slices -- it sort of overpowered the dish. Still, would love to return, delicious!

I’ve had burritos and tacos all over the country and the burritos here were especially low tier. For starters, there was little to no guacamole included, no dairy options, very little meat, and made up primarily of black beans. So yeah, about $11 for a bean burrito. On top of that, the margaritas were surprisingly strong with little flavor beyond a hint of lime juice to mask the tequila. I would choose chipotle over anything I had there. That being said, the place has potential and if they had decent ratios on their fillings I think they could be quite good. As it stands now, it doesn’t matter what you pick because you’re going to get a glorified bean and rice burrito.

Our first visit to Jamestown and happened fortuitously upon Tallulahs. Food was delicious & fresh; the margaritas were also tasty, not syrupy or over sweetened. Atmosphere is casual and low-key. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a casual spot to hang. Definitely will return when we visit Jamestown again!

We had reservations for dinner for 8pm but my husband called to see if they can get us in earlier. They accommodated us at 6:15pm even though they were completely booked. We were seated on the covered deck, however the view of the Marina was covered with thick, clear plastic which they could not open up. This not only obstructed our beautiful view but also prevented the circulation of air. It did get a little stuffy. Some other guests were not thrilled about this and decided to sit indoors. Other than that, our experience at this place was excellent. The drinks were refreshing and the food was delicious. Our server Jennifer was friendly & attentive. We were treated with a free dessert and a card signed by the employees for our anniversary.

Had a great lunch here while in Newport for the day. Warm Lobster Roll was fantastic. Not that i am an expert in Lobster Rolls, but can not imagine having it any other way. Although I know some of you do. Scallop chowder was good, but to me the base made it something i could not take a lot of. My wife like it over the clam chowder, and i preferred the clam. Worked out perfectly. Madisyn was great and attentive and our seats inside over looking the water provided a wonderful atmosphere.

We had a great dinner at The Mooring! The food was excellent all around. The shrimp ceviche was fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and the fish & chips were perfectly crispy with great fries. The chicken was juicy, with a bright chimichurri and creamy garlic mashed potatoes that really stood out. Our server Sharon was friendly and professional, though she tended to linger a bit long at the table. Overall, a really good experience and we’d definitely go back.

I was so excited to dine here Saturday for lunch. The food looked amazing on social media & my experience was just as great as it looked online. The seafood was delicious and fresh. The out door seating was beautiful and peaceful. When booking the reservation, I did request in the comments to be sat outside so I really appreciated that they honored that request. Our waitress Maddy was a doll. Super down to earth & consistently checked in on us. Everything was great!

Absolutely incredible experience! We arrived on our first night here to Newport, and everyone recommended dinner at The Mooring. We had reservations for a table, but we ended up having so much fun at the bar with bartenders Nick and Matt (and patron Jim) that we decided to hang with them for the evening. From Nick’s perfect cocktails (salted caramel espresso martini and of course a classic dirty) to Matt recommending local stops to see in town on our stay, we had a great experience - not like some highfalutin place that misses out on an authentic experience. Had dinner here with my wife over weekend. Food was very good, the chowder was super solid. Shrimp cocktail was good portion, super fresh. Lobster roll and fries was good, not great. No need for lettuce on a lobster roll. Second best lobster roll we had while visiting. Nice ambiance, good views. Service was good. Would go again.

We had a fantastic experience here! Beautiful food, amazing service, and super delicious food. We came for the lobster rolls and were blown away by them, but we left actually being number one fans of their honey biscuit. Hahaha you HAVE to get the biscuit, it’s the greatest thing ever. Our server Candace was SO sweet, attentive, and lovely - she made our meal extra special!

Went for dinner. They are on the wharf and have outdoor seating facing the boats. The drinks are expensive, $17-$20 each. The menu is very limited for vegetarian dishes, they had one entree. The shrimp scampi and salmon were good. The server was busy with other tables, so I had to get up and ask for grated cheese which arrived promptly. The portions are smaller than expected. The bar area had a good band and was packed. Overall, it is a good place for music and drinks.

I cannot rave enough about how good of an experience I had here. The food was awesome and the service was superb. We ordered the mussels they made our jaws DROP. So delicious. Our entrees were also just as amazing. Eat here!

We have eaten here many times before as we come yearly to Newport for 4th of July. However this year was very disappointing. The size of the sandwiches for lunch was miniscule and the quality of the food not so great. There was no good place for the wings and the sangria is definitely not homemade. We will probably not come here for lunch again next year

Great location! Nice bartender! Fun atmosphere! Food was mediocre. Coconut fish bites were mushy and too spiced. Looked like they dumped hot sauce on them:( stuffed quahog had very little quahog. I am disappointed. Was here with my best friend so it was still a good time!

We went on 4th of July and again on Saturday, no wait both days! Food is great, the Jonathan’s crab with seaweed salad was the family favorite and order twice! That is a citrus clean dish! Perfect for hot days! Service was fast and friendly, great atmosphere.

Sat one table from the stage, listened to a great singer/guitarist cover all the classic rock and country tunes with perfection. Place gives off a complete beach, party vibe. We enjoyed some icy-cold tropical adult beverages (all of them perfect). Ordered some oysters on the half-shell, tuna tartare, and clams casino. All three served super fresh, a briny mix of perfection, super light and super flavorful. The waitress, friendly and attentive, unobtrusive but always there exactly when needed. Just a perfect dockside experience with my wife!

Food was mediocre at best. The appetizer said Jonah crab but me and my husband both agreed they used Jonah’s cousin pollack (imitation crab) for the $16 dollar app. Also got a lobster roll which lobster was overcooked and the rolls seemed like they were grilled hrs before instead of grilled made to order. There are many other options than this place around. Too bad the quality isn’t there as they have one of the best spots in Newport on the plus side our waitress liv was very friendly and fast with service. The thing we both found odd and unprofessional was there were like 4 girls at the hostess stand on their phones the whole time laughing amongst each-other. I get sometimes there is downtime and you talk to your coworkers at times and have conversations but seemed the whole time they were hanging I was thinking why are yall there maybe you should take note from our waitress liv and do some work as she was running around and maybe help her or one of the other waitresses instead of lounging around. Liv deserves a raise with all the nonsense of this restaurant is my final thought on this place.

Our sailing trip was pure joy from start to finish! Love the festivals at Bowens wharf. Right in the center of Newport. On the water with bars and food, perfect location. Oyster fest and the Seafood fest are a blast with live bands and seafood. Shout out to Dudemanbro and Timeless, two of our favorite bands. Fourth of July is so nice with the fireworks and celebrations. Love taking the sailboat and rum runner sunsets tours. Great stop on the bike tour! Shout out to the Landing for the great live music and water views. So many places to explore and try out on the wharf. Parking is always a challenge in Newport, highly recommend taking bikes from bike path or ferry from Jamestown.

Great place lots of wonderful food and fun shopping! Make sure you try the Southern Wharf Kitchen and Whiskey Bar excellent food and amazing drinks! Deigos is a must visit for great drinks and fantastic music!

Bowman’s Wharf was a great place to visit. There’s plenty of good food, lots of walking, and beautiful views of the harbor. It’s a lively area, full of boats, people, and shops — a perfect spot to spend an afternoon exploring and taking in the atmosphere.

Lots of nice shops, good energy and beautiful views. If you come close to sunset and find one of the restaurants near the water, you’ll be treated to beautiful sunsets

We were walking in Newport searching for somewhere to eat, and we were drawn to Smoke House because of the incredible smell! I’m so glad we did because it was fantastic. We were seated immediately upon arrival and the service was great. Our waitress was incredibly polite and helpful! The food came out very fast! I got the Farm fresh salad and it was so delicious, the tomato vinaigrette perfectly complimented the sweet tomatoes and corn, and the cornbread croutons, while not exactly crunchy, were the perfect touch. The brisket was moist and tender and so delicious, but it did lack a bit of flavor so I recommend using the house barbecue sauce at the table. If you’re searching for a bite to eat in Newport, I would highly recommend stopping by smokehouse!

Dinner at Smoke House was everything. I came in solo and was taken care of by Erin who was absolutely wonderful. She made me feel so welcomed and genuinely cared for, which means so much when dining alone. The vibe was warm, relaxed, and had just the right touch of New England charm. Let’s talk about the food… the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce? Life-changing. Bold, tangy, a little sweet honestly, I could bottle it and take it home. And the lobster roll? Buttery, fresh, and totally indulgent in the best way. Every bite was perfection. The special from the sous chef that night was incredible seriously impressive flavors.

Please listen carefully.... This place is LEGIT AMAZING!!! I am so sad I only discovered this place on my return to Newport. Came here for lunch with my mom and everything was superb. Having lived in NC and from NY I know BBQ. This is barbecue!!! We had the ribs, wings, Mac and cheese and cornbread. All were outstanding and delicious. We couldn't stop talking about it and it was my mom's favorite on the trip. Eat here and you will never go wrong. Also Georgie our waitress was super kind and helpful!

The food was amazing! We got the old bay smoked wings for an appetizer ( which our waitress recommended, Kylie and were delicious! Then got the lobster roll which was the best one I’ve had in a while!!! And to top it off the classic margarita was out of this world!!! Best experience and 10/10 rating! Ask for Kylie as your waitress, She was awesome!!!

Have never been in here, so we decided to try this place and for a Sunday of 4th of July at 12:30, we were able to grab 4 seats at the bar. After our order of beer and cocktails, we ordered a brisket platter and pulled pork sandwich. The brisket was very tender, just not as “smoky” as the smells in this place would indicate. I smoke my own briskets so perhaps I’m a tough critic but I wouldn’t return just for the brisket. The corn bread on the other hand, was outstanding and one of the best cornbreads I’ve had. My wife’s pulled pork sandwich was very good, just not outstanding. As locals, we visit Newport often and for us this was one and done. Great atmosphere and location

We came by at 7:15 the night before (their website says they’re open until 8), but they had already called last call. That’s the only reason we returned the next day to give it a try. Great location and a good spot for drinks, but the food was a letdown. The brisket and cornbread were dry, and the ribs were nothing special. The mac and cheese was the only thing that stood out decent, but not worth making a trip for.

We braved the element and walked through the pouring rain to come here. We weren't disappointed. Excellent food and service. Everything tasted great. Highly recommended! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, and we went back to our hotel in the rain.

This place is in beautiful RI, Jamestown. It's a beautiful little cafe. It has the most amazing pastries I ever tasted. It also has breakfast and lunch options. However, the service needs work. Their was this elderly lady who served us, and she had the worst attitude. She dampen the experience. And the hot green tea I ordered was so hot it burned my tongue. I couldn't drink it. I had to let it cool down for over an hour. But the place is very clean, clean bathrooms, clean environment. For the most part a very pleasant environment 😊

My family and I finally got around to trying this place out!!! Upon entering we were a little confused on whether we seat ourselves or wait to be seated - there's nobody walking around waiting tables just a counter. So we stood in line to ask but were surprised to be handed a menu and expected to order right there- not a fan of that especially when they giving you that hurry up there's a line stare we really almost forgot to order drinks - the pressure to order like you at a McDonald's drive thru- . We received our drinks then were given a table number and brought it with us to our table - ridiculous when you're trying to juggle hot coffee and drinks for the kids. Our food came out quickly and the food was great the California omelet was the best omelet I have had in a while. My kids hated their pancakes they were a different texture little more chewy almost like a fried dough. The French toast was good too although I didn't really taste the gran mariner not even subtle notes. The orange juice seemed freshly squeezed but my husband didn't like it was room temp like some ice cubes would have been nice. The kicker is we had to clear our own table too and if you want to wash your hands afterwards you will have to wait in a line 5 people deep. Like what's the tip for??? I cleared my own table nobody walks around doing coffee refills I had to bring my own drinks to the dang table the only thing they didn't ask was for us to load the dishwasher! If I was going to come back it would probably be for a coffee and a breakfast pastry to go. I wouldn't come back for a sit down breakfast the process in place only benefits the staff not the customers, when I dine out I don't want to have to clear my tables and juggle my drinks that's why I was choosing to dine at a restaurant in the first place!

Nice breakfast. Wholesome, high quality ingredients. Some interest takes on classic breakfast items. Fresh baked products. Clear your own table after eating. Busy but handles crowded well. Recommended. Will eat there again soon.

second time coming here. got the blueberry sourdough pancakes last time and the plain ones this time. by far the best pancakes i have ever had in my whole life i think about these pancakes on the daily, every spare moment of my life is leading up to the next time i eat these pancakes. please never change the recipe

I ordered the veggie wrap and clam chowder. The wrap was good with lots of veggies, but it had a wet, soggy bottom, so it was yechy to hold/eat and was falling apart. The chowder was tasteless. (The description sounded great -- made with dill and corn.) I was disappointed and had to add a lot of salt and pepper. (Sorry there's no photo of my actual meal. Was hungry and forgot to photograph!) You order at a counter and they bring you your food and silverware. It was busy and seems popular, and was recommended by a local shopkeeper. Lots of yummy looking baked goods available. I would try eating here again. But today, meh.

BLT was fantastic. Counter service with a number you take to your seat. Also, bus your table. Pretty easy and great. The ciabatta used in the BLT was great. When back in Jamestown I'll be back. The baked goods look awesome but we were too full.

Chocolate and almond croissants were delicious. Fruit tart was well presented. Carrot cake was moist and decadent. Breakfast burrito, tuna melt and roast beef sandwiches were scrumptious. Clam chowder is tasty if you like corn you will really like it.

My family and I visited on busy Thursday evening. However the bartender was not phased and attended to all customers in good timing! I highly recommend the painkiller it was amazing. The wings and onions were also pretty good. This place is about a 6 minute drive from the Cliffwalk.

The pub is authentic and in a great location. The daytime bartender was unfriendly and a bit rude. He tossed the bill back at us when we paid as if annoyed because we didn't open a tab. The bartender was jovial with the locals but a bit of a "douche" to two out-of-town customers. Order beer...basic mixed drinks are simply average. I never comment or leave a negative review but this bartender was blatantly rude.

Really Disappointed. We have been here many times but hadn’t gone in for about 6 months. We used to love the burgers with the steak fries and the chicken tenders and fries with the curry sauce. I should have known something was off when I saw the menus had changed and everything was different. Should have left then. What used to be a half pound juicy burger was a slider. Shoestring fries instead of the nice big steak ones. Chicken totally different and much more salty along with the curry sauce being way too salty as well. Service as if you are a burden and you are lucky enough to get waited on at all. Made me depressed honestly. A once comfort food and good craic place I will be avoiding in the future.

I end up here with boozy friends every time I visit Newport, and it never fails to disappoint. Menu is uninspired and poorly executed, service is reluctant at best. The space itself is nice, particularly the patio, but I always leave fearing someone has pilfered my card. Best I can say about it is that they have Save the Robots on tap, which will trick you into an intoxicated state far more intense than you intended.

It's one of the top bars in Newport. Super friendly service from the staff. And also always friendly and welcoming are the patrons. I watched soccer games there in the past. This Saturday, I was looking for a place to watch the F1 Qualifying. When I got there the place was packed and golf was on TV. I asked the bartender if it could be switched, and he would check for me. And all the golf fans were happy to watch the Qualifying with me. And not to forget the food, I had honey mustard wings and they were really good. 😋 in the past, I had the Ceasars salad and the burger before. The menu is on line.

I had a really bad experience here. I was feeling dehydrated and simply asked the bartender for a glass of water—something any decent bar would offer without hesitation. Shockingly, they said it would cost $5. Charging for water, especially when someone clearly needs it, is incredibly disappointing and says a lot about the priorities of this place. I won't be coming back and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Lively watering hole in the summer. This is an old New England joint so don’t expect anything fancy, from the food to the service. The owners and servers are friendly though usually hard to flag down. Great beer battered onion rings. Unsure if there is actual table or drink service outside in back as I’ve been told to go back there a number of times and never once saw anyone but locals playing games and smoking cigarettes. Cozy in winter. A place to get drunk, and not too cheaply. Irish bangers and mash were ok, but the mashed potatoes were of questionable origin/ preparation. A cool landmark to visit it Newport, but nothing to cry over if you miss it. Irish music Sunday evenings.

This Place Deserves the Hype My wife and I came here for lunch and split their wings — absolutely incredible. I had the lemon pepper, and they were packed with flavor. The waitress was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We liked it so much, we came back the very next day for our anniversary dinner — and it didn’t disappoint. We started with the nachos (snapped a pic because they looked that good), and finished with the steak entrées. Both steaks were cooked to order, tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The staff was on point both times — attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. Highly recommend this spot whether you're just in town or celebrating something special. We’ll definitely be back.

We went for the first time for lunch on Saturday about 2:30pm. The food was excellent! I almost never write reviews but really think that people should check this place out. I had a Caprese wrap--probably the best I've ever had. Didn't skimp on the mozzarella, tasty tomatoes and basil, and delicious balsamic. Even the tortilla was flavorful. My friend had CBR 17 pizza and loved it. Bacon, chicken, cheese, ranch, and bbq sauce. So good. Large portions--we each took home half our food. Excellent and friendly server, very comfortable atmosphere, and good music. This place deserves a large and devoted clientele.

Unacceptable Discrimination – We Were Ignored Entirely I had a disturbing experience at Tavern on Broadway in Newport, RI, that I feel compelled to share. I visited with three Black women — we were the only Black patrons in the bar at the time. We were seated by a hostess, but from the moment we sat down, we were completely ignored. Other guests (who were not people of color) came in after us and were served promptly, while no one came to our table — not even to take a drink order. We approached the hostess desk multiple times and were told each time that someone would be right with us. That never happened. Staff walked by us, looked at us, and continued serving others. The most disturbing part: some staff members laughed and looked directly at us after one of our follow-ups, as if they had no intention of serving us at all. It was humiliating and clearly intentional. No one should ever experience that kind of treatment, especially in 2025. I can’t speak to others’ experiences here, but for us, the message was loud and clear: we were not welcome.

I popped in here for a late lunch and the apps. Were good. I had the garlic parmesan wings and the ribs. The sauce on the ribs and the scallions were delicious. I wish I had ordered the pumpkin martini as a special but I didn't even notice the board until afterwards. I sat at the bar. Bartender was nice but didn't care to make conversation with me. The place was very quiet. Only a few people were there. If u like beers they've certainly got a lot on tap!

Well, done burger was excellent. And the server was right on point.👍💁

Food was pretty pricey but good. I liked the burger and tater tots. Waitress stephanie was nice. We loved the view , however the bucket trucks outside the deck ruin the view, looks awful parked out there. This place was nice, just has a small deck and is located at marriot (beautiful hotel I must say).

The staff seems friendly, and responsive, until it comes to the food. I ordered the Fish & Chips, but wasn’t planning to eat 2 lbs of fries and the smallest piece of fish in U.S. History. Especially in Rhode Island. At that point the staff seemed to not care, but willing to sell you something else. It is all about the money apparently. Overpriced food and drinks for this.

Outdoor seatings overlooking the harbor. I had drunken mussels and they were so tasty and plumped. Came back the following week and the mussels weren’t the same. They were smaller and there were broken shell pieces as well as few dead ones

Nice views and drinks! Not your typical sports bar as there are only a couple tvs in the main bar area but the service was good.

Passionate staff, reasonable prices and EXCEPTIONAL preparation of Italian classic fare. The small Caesar salad super flavorful and extremely balanced…paired wonderfully with the warm bread & dipping oil. The off menu special of creamy lobster & cherry tomatoes on linguine…wow, just wow. Insist on a twirling spoon with which you get every bit of the sauce. Easy walk from the ferry landing.

We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken piccatta and the fig & goat cheese pizza. More than adequate serving sizes. The host was friendly and accomodating. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated. It is a popular place for take out. Give Angels Kitchhen a try.

I really enjoyed dinner here. The waitress busted her chops trying to keep up with all the guests and to go orders. It did take a bit of time to get our food, so if you are going in on a busy friday night, plan to have a longer dinner. The food was absolutely worth the wait. We ordered specials not on the fixed medu, the crab cake sliders and the meat pie were delicious.

Quaint restaurant here in Jamestown. Presented me with the a lovely bread that was just the right amount of flaky crunch for dipping in olive oil. Garden salad and sticky ribs were delightful.

What a lovely place to visit after a day at the beach. The drinks, atmosphere, and staff were excellent. Food was delicious, my only gripes were the lamb being a bit overdone and the portions being rather small (except for the foccacia which was generous), even by the standards of a tapas bar. I would definitely go back

Chef Noah's use of local ingredients and creativity keeps it fresh and fun. This was out third time and each time has been a culinary joy! Lamb meatballs are a must-try staple but the tuna was unlike anything I've ever tried. Delish! And they have a great wine list!

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here a few weeks ago. The woman who greeted us (I believe she is one of the owners) was so warm and friendly! We had made a reservation online and there was a space to note occasion, and she immediately knew who we were by name and knew it was our anniversary. Loved the atmosphere and idea that this is a converted space that becomes a restaurant at night. Feels very unique. We only ordered a few plates but they were all very delicious. Everything is ordered to share. Our waitress did a good job at explaining the menu too. The black sea bass dish we had was particularly good!

Having lived in Europe for years, I felt like I was transported back to a hidden gem that only locals frequented. If you're choosing a restaurant in Jamestown, Salty would be my top pick.

I gave this restaurant a rave review earlier this year, before the town approved their extended hours and beverage license. Since those approvals came through, we have returned three times. The food and experience just keep getting better. The largely tapas-style, shared-plate menu is wonderful. We've never had a bad dish. The larger plates are generous. The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Save room for dessert! The ambiance is delightful. It is amazing how they convert a laid-back bakery / coffee shop (also a favorite) into a warm and charming dining space four nights a week. We'll keep coming back. Try parking in the library lot across the street. The restaurant is open after library hours and there are usually spaces.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Salty! Last night! We started with the dips, and focaccia!!followed by Deviled eggs! All perfect! We then shared wonderful salads , which were delicious! We then had the scallops perfectly cooked with a pesto ! An asparagus dish! Topped of with amazing deserts ! The hospitality of the staff is first rate ! Had a great weekend in Jamestown. We just got off our friends boat it was a hot but amazing day on the water. The kids sprinted directly to the ice cream shop at the marina. We could tell it was closing but asked if it was open anyway. The guy looked at our kids, laughed and said, now it is. It was a perfect ending to the day. Kudos to the marina for putting an ice cream shop there. Absolutely delicious. We will be back!

Great ice cream & Steve was terrific. He understands boaters. He went the extra mile, bringing water to our table as we ate our ice cream on a very hot day. And he was so friendly.

Pleasantly surprised scuttlebutt is open at Dutch Harbor. I enjoyed a delicious ice cream cone while sitting on the picnic benches looking out on the water. Service was great… I’ll definitely be back!

Steve is so attentive and amiable. He took care of us and made sure our grandsons were happy with their selection of ice cream. We will go back many times!

Perfect stop on our bike ride around town. I had tortured my son with a scenic walk but was able to make up for this by bringing him to Scuttlebutt on our way home :-) Service was a 10/10. View/location an 11/10!

Newport is a happy place for my wife and I. Brick Alley is a must-visit restaurant when in town. This trip we were a party of four. Absolutely enthralling decor and always excellent service. I put a picture of all that was ordered although I can not name them all. I had the salmon which was delicious but looked a little lonely as served. If there was any shortcoming at all I would say that the menu is a bit limited. Take a look 👀 online and make sure that they have what you like. If you do visit I am sure that you will enjoy the experience. Your mileage may vary.

Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant in Newport, RI is a lively and welcoming spot that blends classic charm with a fun, casual vibe. Located on Thames Street, it’s perfect for families, date nights, or just grabbing a drink with friends. The menu is huge think award winning burgers, fresh seafood, pastas, and even a lobster roll voted one of the best in America. Inside, the decor is packed with antiques, sports memorabilia, and even an old Chevy truck, giving it a nostalgic feel. The staff are friendly, the portions are generous, and the energy is always upbeat. It’s a true Newport favorite.

We stumbled upon The Brick Alley Pub thanks to a great recommendation from our trolley driver, Rob—and what a find! This place is bursting with eclectic charm, packed with fun antique memorabilia on every wall. It’s like walking into a cozy museum-meets-pub—there’s something to admire in every corner. The bar area is separated so perfect if you have small Kids too! Despite being pressed for time (we had a return water taxi scheduled for our cruise), our server was incredibly accommodating. We let her know we had only an hour, and she made sure everything was smooth and efficient without making us feel rushed. We started with their famous beef nachos, which were absolutely delicious—layers of crispy chips, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned beef. My friends opted for the all-you-can-eat salad bar, which was impressively stocked with a huge variety of fresh toppings, dressings, and sides. A true salad-lover’s dream! I ordered their award-winning Lobster Salad Sandwich, served cold as recommended. It did not disappoint—light, flavorful, and loaded with fresh lobster meat. It came with classic coleslaw and a side of sweet potato fries, which were perfectly crispy and just the right amount of sweet. Before heading out, we also grabbed a few tee-shirts for our husbands—a fun way to support local businesses and take home something memorable. Little souvenirs like that always make vacations last just a bit longer when you’re back home. If you’re in Newport and looking for a spot that’s full of personality, local flavor, fantastic bar area and great food, I highly recommend stopping in at The Brick Alley Pub. It’s now one of my favorite hidden gems from the trip!

Don’t let the ugly yellow awning fool you, this place is a must-visit! Portions are huge and food is delicious. Whether it be nachos, fried mozzarella, turkey club, fish and chips or a burger, you can’t go wrong! There is something for everyone. Service is also great, never have to flag down wait staff for refills, etc. I recommend making a reservation - Thames St. is a very busy area and there is usually a wait.

When it was our turn to have a break for lunch from our tour, we decided to stop by and try them out. It sure did not disappoint and it is one of the bigger restaurants in historic Newport. We were seated almost right away and our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered food and it arrived pretty fast. We got the cheeseburger and the smoked turkey club, both delish, fresh and tasty. A good option in historic Newport.

The lobster Mac. And cheese was creamy, and packed with lobster. The bisque was velvety and flavorful, and the clams were spot on. This place knows seafood! Be warned: the line gets long on weekends, so definitely book ahead. Totally worth it

We came here based on a friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad we did! Even though the restaurant was packed, we were seated within seconds of walking in (around 5 PM). The raw oysters and clams were fresh and delicious, but the lobster roll blew me away. It was warm, juicy, and loaded with a generous amount of lobster meat👌🏼 Will definitely come back for another roll. Highly recommend!

Midtown Oyster Bar is absolutely fantastic! The seafood is as fresh as it gets, and the oysters are some of the best you’ll find anywhere — perfectly shucked and full of flavor. Their menu goes beyond oysters too, with delicious seafood dishes and flavorful sides that make every visit a treat. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot whether you’re out with friends or enjoying a nice dinner. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to recommend the best pairings. If you love seafood, Midtown Oyster Bar is a must-visit!

Very nice, missing the live music though. We’ve gone a few times in recent years, and the food is always outstanding, as is the service. The dishes always look and taste sensational. Would recommend.

In town 5 nights visiting and My wife and I were out walking and wondering where we were going to get dinner. Stopped in and looked at menu and decided to give it a try. We sat at the bar. I started with 3 oysters and they were so delicious I had to get more. We had Charred octopus (as good as it gets), wicked shrimp, lobster roll and truffled fries. Everything was fresh and exceptional. Highly recommend.

Midtown Oyster Bar was fantastic. They were able to accommodate a party of 12 for our family’s wedding week dinner. The staff was very kind and attentive. The food was delicious, especially their seafood tower, lobster Cobb salad, truffle fries and lobster roll! They were also able to split entrees in half for people sharing (salad picture of half split portion). Highly recommend to anyone visiting Newport.

We had a fabulous meal here. We were expecting “pub” food but everything was delicious. The oyster selection was incredible. The little necks were mouthwatering and the scallops were cooked to perfection! Madison our waitress was the best server we have had since moving to the US. Thank you so much!

We visited here from out of state with high expectations. Every single one of them was exceeded. Good wine selection and great service. Make sure you make a reservation! The dress code is clearly unenforced but perhaps it varies depending on different times of the night or who is hosting. My preference is just to commit to one of them, either drop the dress code or enforce it. Include a note with the reservation, & put up a sign outside so it is harder to claim ignorance regarding the website info. The field greens had an exquisite minty + turmeric taste with candied nuts and it was a perfect appetizer! The lobster ravioli and lobster bisque are similar so make sure you want them both if ordering both. The duck legs were crispy on the outside and they were so good! Would recommend going early so you can park in their free parking lot, I’m sure it gets full. One of the dining rooms is upstairs so be sure to request what you need in advance.

Excellent restaurant which is also the oldest tavern in America. Lot of history, beautiful stories and architecture. Really nice old woody feel. Lovely service and staff who are friendly. Highly recommend you book in advance guys it gets full fast. We have been three times on three different trips. The food is nice but not overwhelmingly good. The best dishes were the Brussels sprouts aide dish- must have! Also the dessert mousse was amazing!! The duck chicken and steak were 7/10.

I will just say - when George Washington walked into this tavern, it was already 100 years old! If that isn’t enough to pique your curiosity and your desire to visit this iconic restaurant, then let me tempt you further. The wine selection is impressive; the food (don’t miss the Beef Wellington) is delicious; and the service is impeccable!. Still not convinced? The staff is welcoming and gracious - and the bartender pours the perfect Rusty Nail! Still need more? Our reservations kept changing (our fault - NOT theirs) - but Bill and Ryan were superb and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday - and the owners of the Golden Steer Las Vegas were in our party (no pressure 🙃). It could not have been a more exciting or grander memory! If you have not dined at the White Horse Tavern, then it’s high time you did. You will not be disappointed - and who knows? … you may just walk in George’s exact footsteps!

Full moon on a Friday and lucky me there was a table near the bar. Beef Wellington was superb, see pics and the wine was outstanding. Great hostess and bartender. Efficient, friendly and scrumptious. So glad I made the walk from my air bnb! Thank you for graciously welcoming me from Nashville!

The food was delicious! We ordered the lobster ravioli, scallops, oysters, and lobster soup. The portions were generous and everything tasted great. The ravioli were especially amazing, served with a rich sauce that included extra lobster and shrimp. My mother-in-law loved the Nespresso martini with Baileys, which we highly recommend as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food! Our waiter was also very kind and took good care of us. I really like the atmosphere of the old tavern.

The house/restaurant is super cute. It’s white table, but doesn’t need to be. The food and service do not match the vibe. The scotch egg was delish. The clam chowder was simple but lacked salt and pepper. I had a chicken dish that was rather bland. The veggie plate was nothing to write home about. Very simple and basic. Our waitress was not attentive. She told us the specials and walked away—we were ready to order by that time. She was covering at least 5 tables. Again, doesn’t match the fine(r) dining vibe. We had to ask the food runner for more to drinks because it was completely out. I would not recommend this place.

We came here at 1pm on a Wednesday in early Aug 2025. We sat alongside of the entrance to enjoy the beautiful weather and hustle and bustle of the wharf. Our waitress was great. She was prompt. Drinks were quick to arrive and stay topped off. We wanted a snack and not lunch, so oysters and heirloom tomato with burrata salad was just enough. Everything was so fresh. The chefs choice oysters were buttery and delicious, and the salad, bright, sweet, and the perfect partner to a beautiful summer day. Can’t wait to return!

The service here was not the best, the waitress couldn’t give me descriptions of ANY of their oysters, I was pretty disappointed, however I still ordered an assortment of oysters as an appetizer and then the lobster roll has my meal. Overall the food was pretty good. Luckily my friend and I had the pleasure of sitting right next to the water! Don’t know that I would recommend this place to anyone but glad I walked in & gave it a try!

5 stars all around! This place is delicious! Off-season, Wednesday night October, and it was packed. Despite the crowd, our server was attentive and helpful. Highly recommended daily oyster selection and the clam chowder. I enjoyed the featured halibut…. Not sure how often that makes the menu, but if you see it, try it! And save room for the snowball from hell. It’s worth it! Met the GM who graciously gave us a tour and treated us like celebrities. I wish we had more time here… I’d eat here everyday!

While we were walking around the harbor in Newport, we wanted to grab a drink. When we walked by, it looked like a nice and fun place. We asked if we could sit at the bar and we were able to find two seats. There were locals and visitors alike, and we could tell we found a gem. Kevin the bartender was friendly, attentive, and made great drinks! When he left his shift, Shawn took over and made sure to keep our water glasses full. We’re so glad we stopped by that afternoon!

We came here after seeing the funny video of the assistant AG getting arrested for trespassing lol. We absolutely loved it here. The service was comfortable and not overbearing but right on time. The food was delicious! Also, every course came at the perfect time. The view of the harbor is beautiful. There’s a nautical old money feeling with surprisingly nice prices, especially for the best dinner in newport. Ultimately a great experience with no complaints. Hopefully next time we get to witness an AG be arrested.

Some of the best food we've ever tasted - the truffle appetizer was a once-in-a-lifetime delight. The lemon, honey and vanilla sauce with the asparagus appetizer was so good that we used our bread to get all of it. The duck breast and the swordfish entrees were beyond our expectation with innovative and delicious accompaniments. Dining on the third level is a once a year treat for us.

One of the best restaurants in the US. Great views. The food is delicious. Try the King Salmon, its perfectly cooked. Enjoy some excellent oysters from the region. The sushi is not bad so if you are in the mood for it, give it a try. The staff was great and knew how the chef recommends his food to be prepared. I recommend this place. So make reservations and enjoy.

We had gone during a long weekend, so naturally the place was quite packed. Even with the crowd, the wait time was surprisingly short — we got a table in about 10 minutes, which was impressive. As for the food, it was definitely enjoyable. I ordered the lobster roll, and it turned out really tasty. The filling was generous, and with the French fries on the side, it was quite a hearty meal. I also tried a bite of the fish and chips — that was even more delicious, maybe because of the crispy flour coating and frying 😋. The shrimp pasta too was flavourful and hit the spot.

This was our first visit to this seafood spot, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, and the food tasted fresh and flavorful. Prices felt fair for the quality, and I’d definitely suggest trying the lobster roll—it was a highlight. The menu offers plenty of appetizers and entrées, so there’s something for everyone. The view of the bay was stunning, and as the sun began to set, it created such a beautiful atmosphere that we wished we had more time to stay and enjoy it. Our server was attentive, always checking in and keeping our drinks full, and the dishes came out promptly. If you’re looking for a place with great seafood, warm service, and unforgettable views, I’d highly recommend The Lobster Bar.

Easy and fun spot if you are looking for a restaurant with good views! We stopped in after one of the sunset sailing tours and were happy to be warmed up with some clam chowder soup. The food was okay but not amazing so this is more of a spot if you have a large party or want water front scenery as there is a ton of seating. Their lobster roll is served cold so if you aren’t a big lobster person, wouldn’t go for that. The fish and chips were fine, can’t really mess up fried fish :) would probably still go back if with a group. Service was pleasant and there’s plenty of TVs if you’re trying to catch a game.

10/25 - Here on a NE bus trip & wanted to eat someplace with a view, boy were we happy with this place. Good food, good service and the view we were looking for. The wife had crab cakes, I had the lobster roll flight (3 ways). I have to say her crab cakes were better 😁. Average beer selection with a couple of unique ones. Satisfied our needs both visually and gastronomically.

I went to eat at lunch time at a weekday and no wait or reservations needed. I got the clam chowder and fried seafood platter. The clam chowder was average nothing special but the fried clams had a weird taste. It tasted like it was not prepared properly, there was dark green and gritty substance with the clams. The other fried stuff was fine. I do not recommend getting the fried clams.

The slaw on the side was crisp, light, and flavorful — a great balance to the richness of the roll. My companion’s grilled salmon was beautifully prepared — tender, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with asparagus, roasted tomatoes, and a bright lemon-herb sauce. Service was friendly and attentive, and the outdoor seating made for an ideal dining experience. Highly recommend The Lobster Bar for anyone looking for great seafood done right.

Stopped in late on a Monday for some cocktails and ended up getting the lobster Mac and cheese. It was ok. Also got the tuna poke and it was very good. The drinks were good and the lady working the bar was very friendly.

Pretty good experience! Some of the food fell a little flat but the sausage and smoked mozzarella pasta was incredible. Service was good and attentive. Atmosphere was a little cluttered feeling, but maybe that's because it was during the day. Would go back again just for that pasta dish.

We came here for an early Friday dinner. The carbonara was amazing. The watermelon salad was very good. The vodka pasta was good but didn’t taste like typical vodka sauce that I was expecting. My daughter enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. I was not a fan of the ricotta dip or the meatballs.

The service and atmosphere was good and everyone was nice. We got salad, confit potatoes, cacio e pepe and creme brulee. The cacio e pepe was okay. Maybw it was because we requested to get all the stuff together, so the pasta started clumping up as it cooled. Other than that, everything was pretty good!

Tasty Italian dishes, but on the higher end of the price range. The appetizer of Burrata was amazing and the lasagna was delicious and served in a huge portion. The food was fast, but service could have been better.

The decor inside is very nice. The pizza was completely soggy and oily (as you can see in the picture), the pasta was very bland/under seasoned/overcooked considering the price, waste of money. On top of that, the specified complementary bread on the menu wasn't served to us until we asked about it, and recieved a sigh from the server for asking, but it seemed our server Emily was capable of providing it to the tables around us. Mind you they weren't even busy, we were like the 5th table there.

Unfortunately, this place disappointed us. We came to the city for special occasion, but mood of the waitress ruined our day. She was kind of rude and “unhappy” to work with us. Vine was served in plastic cup… and whiskey in regular vodka shot…. We asked not to serve us a tap water, but our voices weren’t heard. Oil bottle had broken and had the part inside

One star and that’s just for the drink. The pizza Quattro was a full-blown dairy crisis. Cheese so thick The tuna? I don’t know what part of the fish that was. The pasta came with frozen peas that tasted like they hadn’t emotionally thawed since Gilded age maximum regret. The staff I didn’t know I booked a speed-dining experience. was mid-meal, drink still full, fork in hand and a staff member comes over to ask if we want the bill.

Very busy, decent wait. Servers were great. The atmosphere was ok. Buffalo wings above average. I had the chicken Marsala as my entree, and it was actually really good... Not a meal I expected from a pub... I'd definitely come back.

Best bar in town hands down! We asked the bartender every where we went and they all said PJ is their favorite and it's easy to see why. Looks a little divey but has some world class food. The seafood soup is incredible, full of flavor and seafood. Loved the jambalaya too. Can't wait to come back!

Looked at this place on google. I didn't disappoint pretty cool place. The atmosphere was awesome, and it was pretty busy on a Monday. But overall, the wings and Chicken Marsala and my go-to old fashion were pretty dang good. Will definitely be back in the future.

During a visit to Newport, this place was recommended by a resident. It's a little gem... the burger was excellent, fries had great flavor and were nice and crispy, and the penned carbonara was hearty and tasty. Staff was friendly and super fast.

We stopped here for a drink and an appetizer. We ordered the southwest egg rolls and they are delicious. Drinks are cold but overpriced! I'm not surprised about the prices it's Newport lol

Incredible bar. Came here to watch NFL Sunday from a cruise ship stop in Newport. Quick walk from port. Staff is super attentive and nice. They were nice enough to put the games on we wanted to watch. Wings are a must order. Bartender told me they were legit and he wasn't lying. Some of the best wings I've had from anywhere, period. 1000% recommend this place.

This was the first restaurant that my wife and I had dinner at during our Newport getaway in July 2025. We found the food to be delicious and the service to be attentive. For drinks I had the Dogfish Head Brewing Grateful Dead IPA and it was definitely refreshing. I then decided to try the Blackberry Bramble Old Fashioned and it was outstanding. We started things off with the Deviled Eggs and enjoyed them. For my entree I tried the Creole Shrimp and Grits, which had a little kick and a LOT of flavor. My wife had of the tots appetizers with pork belly which she enjoyed. The ambiance is not that great but the good and service more than make up for that.

Food: Shrimp and Fried Green Tomato 8/10. This is something that I would say is a must try be careful the sauce is a little spicy. Southern Fried Chicken and Gravy 8.5/10. Comes with collards that has pork in it and trust me it is good. The chicken is flavorful not over seasoned and has the right batter. The biscuit is a must have with the meal. I personally didn't care for the white gravy but overall great dish. Cornbread Souffle 5/10. It was too much going on with the cornbread and it was bland and weird to taste. Pecan Pier 3/10. Don't take my word for the pie I don't care for pecan but I will say trying it for the second time this pie was loaded with Pecans. Drinks 10/10 Service 10/10 my waitress was very attentive. Knowledgeable about the menu and even offered suggestions. Checked on us frequently with a smile. Wish I had her name but she was awesome. Atmosphere 7/10 on the inside I would say that it was a bit dark. Would love if the place was lighter. Other than that awesome place in the downtown area with inside and outside seating.

The staff was very friendly, and the ambiance was very fitting to the Polynesian theme. I give them a 5/5 in the presentation because the food does look good, although I was not impressed by their taste. The fried rice had good taste, but it was too wet; and their shrimp and chicken sweet sour dish was extremely salty, to the point that we couldn't eat it. We recommend the oysters and the wings; and their were also very good.

We came as a group of 6. All of us were disappointed. For being on a wharf, we expected bigger and better tastes. Although the servers were kind, we don’t think we had their full attention. We also were a little off-put by the demonic decorations. We know it’s Halloween season but it just isn’t fun to sit at a table with an evil child hung on the wall staring at you. Overall, we didn’t hate our experience but it’s so far been the most disappointing meal we’ve had while visiting Newport. Sorry guys, this one didn’t hit.

Our experience at Wharf Southern Kitchen and Whiskey Bar in Newport, Rhode Island, was disappointing. We sat at the back bar, but no one acknowledged us for about 10 minutes despite servers and employees passing by multiple times. Finally, a waitress informed us the bar was closed and directed us to either get a table or move to the front bar, which felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Once seated, the food came out quickly and was tasty, which was a redeeming factor. However, the overall lack of warmth from the staff made us feel like we were bothering them, which soured the experience. The restrooms were clean but limited to two single-person stalls, leading to long lines. Despite the decent food, the unwelcoming vibe means we won’t return. A little hospitality would go a long way here.

We had the fried calamari appetizer and a fried pickles appetizer. Both were good. Chicken sandwich and burger were both good. One of us got the sliders. They were tiny. Snack size. The Mac and cheese side dish was average. Wait staff were great. Very friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was fine. We happened to go on bingo night and it was loud. Hard to hear each other. It's also dark in the dining area. More of a bar feel than a restaurant.

was very excited to try this restaurant as it had great reviews and a good number of recommendations just to be disappointed when my partner and i dined here. host was very nice and seated us promptly but our issue was with our server. it took a while for her to greet us because she was having conversation with another table and then we were finally graced with her attention. she took our drink orders and that proceeded to take another 15 minutes to receive our drinks while a couple at the bar and a couple who had walked in after us received their drinks before us. while i believed was the making of our drinks we had a direct view of the wet bar and could see our server talking to the bartender while looking at us and pointing. this continued throughout the night. we weren’t greeted with the warm and welcoming nature that she provided other tables who had come after us. it as well took forever to get our check because she was simply not worried about us. would not recommend coming here if you are a person of color. it seems as though that was the defining factor

On a recent trip to Middletown, Rhode Island, my family made a return visit to the Coddington Brewery. We’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable seating and a nice bar area. Pictured is the Turkey Platter which has all the flavors of a home Thanksgiving meal. Also pictured is the Roast Beef Club; delicious! Any of the burgers and sandwiches would be a good choice and there are more formal type dinners offered. It being a brewery, there is always a nice selection of beer. Try this place; you’ll like it and want to go back.

Didn't plan on going her, but it was a great find that we happened upon. I had a reuben, and family had pizza, and potato appetizers...and all were good. We did the beer sampler to try all of their beers, and pretty much all of them were great. I especially liked the Golden Ale and their "Pennsylvania lager". We sat outside on the patio on a nice day and enjoyed it. The staff were all very friendly.

The food here exceeded all of our expectations! You would think their focus would be on the beer but both were delicious. The atmosphere feels very home town local watering hole. They also had a wonderful seasonal food and beer menu!

Just passing through Rhode Island and our hotel sent us here when we said we wanted to watch the baseball playoff game. Great suggestion! Our server was great, and they were kind enough to even turn up the volume for us to watch the game! The boneless buffalo tenders were the best I have ever had! My husband ordered the Oktoberfest Weiner Schnitzel and he literally ate every morsel! He also had an oatmeal stout and said it was great! Definitely glad we stopped, great experience!

We love this restaurant and ate here 2 days in a row. It is only 10minutes from the super busy crowds of Newport. Great wait staff! Awesome fish and chips and best rubbing sandwhich

Buffalo “ chicken “ dip? Zero chicken. And a 1/3 of a cup serving size for $16 . Crazy . Friendly, good bartender. I got to go. They did offer to give me more if I drove back . Ugh.

Everything was good except for the grilled octopus which I sent back because you couldn't even chew it. Second time was better but still just ok. But the standout here was the gluten-free lamb poutine, everyone loved that!

My fiance and I went in Monday for dinner on our honeymoon and I have to say we were blown away. She got the Potato pizza and I had the Drs Orders burger (complete with syringe full of queso). The food was phenomenal, the restaurant itself was also very aesthetically pleasing, and the staff and live jazz band performing made it an even more enjoyable experience. If you’re looking for a cool spot with a creative menu and good live music in Newport I’d recommend this place hands down.

This place has become a summer staple. Service is excellent and their food is lovely. Highly recommend the salmon! Large portion and well balanced flavours. Jasper is a gem, she is a hospitality natural.

Had dinner here last week. Cool bar with a great vibe. Great bourbon and scotch selection and a fantastic cocktail list. Highly recommend the pork tacos. Food was outstanding and friendly server. We will be back next time we are in town. Highly recommend!

Never a bad experience! Spacious and open in summer, dim and cozy in winter. There is often live music, too. The menu is excellent, with something for everyone including wood fired pizza. The fried mushrooms are an absolute must even for those who think they don’t like mushrooms. Trust me on this! Great vibe, great service, nice long fully stocked bar, and very cool bathrooms. Had an incredible dinner last night. After traveling from NY for hours, we stopped here a half hour before they closed. Our server was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable and accommodating even being the last table. Loved the decor, the cocktails were wonderful, and the food was Sofa. King. Fantastic! Amazing flavors, hearty portions, and beautiful presentation. Even though we were just passing through, I would seriously plan to revisit Newport just to eat here again. Bravo.

This restaurant has by far the best water view dining in the area. Great for enjoying a delicious lunch while watching the sail boats cruise along the harbor. There are plenty of seating scattered throughout the property but on a busy summer day, make sure your reserve a table ahead of time. Food was decent but you really come here for the view and the sun.

We had such a wonderful experience at The Lawn Terrace! We tried the avocado toast, corn bread, fried calamari, burrata, and eggs Benedict — and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The calamari was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere makes it even better. Tables typically require reservations, but bar seating is available for walk-ins, which is super convenient. You can also just grab a drink and enjoy it near the ocean view, which creates such a relaxing and beautiful dining experience. Highly recommend this spot for both the food and the stunning setting — we’ll definitely be back!

Best place there is. Service was perfect, views were perfect and food was amazing. I watched many of the workers being rude to by other patronage but they handled it beautifully and professional. Food was hot and great and the views can not be beat. We sat at the bar as well and the bartenders were amazing. I can not say enough about those that work here. They deserve so much.

Had an absolutely amazing time! We reserved the private Adirondack experience because we were a group of 7. It was so worth it. The service was fantastic. Steph was with us and she was top notch. The drinks were great, the food was fabulous, loved the minister rolls and the view was impeccable. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Been around the world and understand what makes an outstanding travel experience...Our experience was going well until we encountered Julia who was amazingly rude and off Putting. Our first and most likely our Last time. The view is beautiful but unfortunately our experience with the staff member created a negative experience and impression for future experiences. It is a shame that a beautiful view and great drinks are shadowed by terrible customer service. My suggestion go for a drink,scenery and instagram photos but eat Elsewhere for true authentically quality pleasurable experience in Newport RI!

Beautiful place to have lunch or dinner. The view of Newport is amazing, you will see lots of birds and boat/ships passing by. The food is top tier ! I recommend the beef carpaccio and the sea bass , you will not be disappointed! All of the staff were really nice and accommodating to my friends with certain food restrictions. Will definitely come here again soon!

Good outdoor patio. Great drinks, food, and music in the afternoon. The service was non-existent. The wait staff were standing around vs attending to tables. The restaurant was practically empty due to rain, but no wait staff at the high tops. Ended up going to the bar to order drinks and food. The frozen mudslide with a floater was great as was the veggie burger. I would recommend them both. There is a great pond in the center for kids to play and catch plastic fish toys. Do not sit at the high tops unless you are using the bar for service. The bartenders were great, but the wait staff definitely needs training in customer service.

if you’re considering eating here, JUST DO IT. the clam chowder, lobster roll, and mudslides are so delicious. we also ordered shrimp curry and the jerk chicken, which if you can handle spice you should order. our waitress told us that the chef was Jamaican, so really flavorful delicious food. the atmosphere is so nice in the spring/summer with the outdoor seating. we sat next to the water fountain with rubber duckies!! and the mudslides tasted like spiked McFlurries. if i could rate this place higher, i would. 10/10 recommend.

I recently visited this past holiday weekend for a birthday celebration and, as always, you guys did not disappoint … Outside dining, the atmosphere, the food, the staff, I even had a laugh with another patron over the Mac and cheese with lobster 🤭 Our server, Taylor is A+ Not only did she do her job exceptionally well, her her personality and extra attn to the smallest of detail, definitely got my attn. enough that I wanted to review her before the food and drink… The food and drink did not disappoint. It was as great as Taylor’s service. I gave the bartender creative liberty .. and he delivered deliciously. Ordered the fries and buffalo wings, which were some of the best on my list! Thank you for always being a great experience! Never disappointed!

We’ve gone a few times now, to both the outside and inside portions, and we’ve never been disappointed!! I’ve tried multiple dishes, including the lobster salad roll, which was outstanding. The food, service, and atmosphere are all amazing. Everyone is incredibly nice and the food is amazing. A perfect setting and features entertainment for kids. We brought a dog once and he received amazing service and treatment as well. Definitely one of our go-to places :)

We were given drink tickets here from our Newport Foodies Tour. Our drinks (Tommy's Big Ginger and a Kentucky Mule) were well made by a bartender who appeared quite overworked but was very friendly. I did not order food but saw and smelled plenty of it go by. We had a lot of food on our tour and I was full but I was almost tempted to order since it all looked great

A bit of a wait to get in. Server wasn't very familiar with the menu/ingredients of items. Food was great. Lobster mac and cheese had tons of lobster in it.

We enjoyed our dinner. Great outdoor seating area, food was good. My husband said his burger was good and I had the Greek salad which was great. Our server Miyah B was excellent. She seemed genuinely sweet and was attentive without being overly attentive. I watched her interact with kids at a nearby table and she was great. Great casual dining spot.

Katie C was our server! Very nice, sadly our dishes were over salted. I ordered Tuna Poké and it was drenched in soy sauce, I was unable to finish it. I would recommend asking for soy sauce on the side. My partner’s burger was saltier than his fries. Definitely ask for low salt. Overall the fries were the most delicious. Eat at your own risk and drink at your own enjoyment.

DISGRACEFUL!!!!! I am an educated woman living in NY who went to RI to go visit my daughter’s university for the weekend a few weeks back. My husband and I went in. Myself (white) husband (Dominican) well dressed and clean. We walk in, I say hello, blonde older woman looks at me while on the phone and points her finger to hold on. I wait… and wait and wait for about 4 minutes … by the way cellphone talking about doing something over the weekend. But hey … who knows maybe it was super important to her. Finally gets off and doesn’t say hello. Looks at my husband… ignores me and asks if he has been here before. I respond saying no our daughter goes to school we just wanted to stop get a bite to eat and head back home…. Well the woman looks at my husband again and says well you don’t look like you have kids lol … i thought it was funny and told Her well you look like you have grandkids. She was like you can leave and not eat here. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager. I should of asked to speak to the owner as she was first rude on being at the check in podium with her mobile phone talking about the weekend activity but rudely tried to hit on my husband of 25 years and then when i responded to her rudeness she thought it would be ok to tell “me” not him i can eat somewhere else. This establishment should be closed. Disgusted and rude… you will not maintain or gain any business. I am going to report to the business bureau of the “ick” as my husband said he made her feel and how disgusting she’s presenting the restaurant. If she is married or with kids she should respect herself in a better manner. Totally disgusted !

0 stars, especially to older blonde hostess. Was told we couldn't come in to use the restroom because we weren't customers. Fair. So I offered to buy a beer and was then told nevermind we weren't allowed in because I was in khaki shorts and a cutoff sleeve shirt (80+ degree real feel). So I asked for the name of the establishment and Kathy refused to give me the name of it. Then she said we needed to leave after asking a second time for the name of the establishment. The bar tender then yelled out "hey buddy, it's a Monday, can we just not." A husband and wife then got up and left stating that's not a place they want to be part of. Will file with both Yelp and the better business bureau.

Some of the best food and hospitality in Rhode Island that's where me and my wife hang out every summer, when were there. We love the speakeasy and it's laidback. Vibe prices are great food, is phenomenal. We love their stuffies. They're the best on the East Coast.

We had a terrible experience with the service during our visit. Although the restaurant was nearly empty, we were not allowed to sit at a high-top table for drinks and appetizers — we were told those were reserved for dinner service only. When we tried to sit at the bar instead, we were told we couldn’t because one member of our group — who is pregnant and not drinking — didn’t have her ID. Rather than offering a solution or trying to accommodate us in a clearly not-busy space, the staff came across as dismissive and unhelpful. The inconsistent policies and the way we were treated felt discriminatory and unwelcoming.

Stopped in here with a big group. They were very organized, and the service was excellent. The red sangria was really good. We had the white sangria as well...but I found it a bit on the sweet side. If you don't like to much sweet, then get the red sangria. The waiter was absolutely amazing....he recommended certain items and geared us in a good direction when we couldn't make a decision. The oysters au gratin were very tasty! Highly recommend them. The tangy bangy chicken tenders were big. The quahog was different...but it was tasty. Overall, everyone was happy in our party!

My sisters and I had an amazing dinner here. The weather wasn’t great so we had a table inside. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager who was very passionate about the food and providing great service. I believe our server was Bryan who was also very pleasant and pours a nice glass of wine. Highly recommend for a yummy dinner!

The atmosphere on the deck near the bar with live music was not lacking anything. The oysters Rockefeller were the best I've ever had!! The hot lobster roll was good, but I've had better. My drink wasn't very strong, but the music was GREAT!!

Had no complaints with our visit. Live music, good food and good service. Prices were a tad high but you are right on the water. I would absolutely recommend a visit.

A very warm and intimate atmosphere, with an excellent musician and well-crafted cocktails. The highlight was enjoying the show of a beautiful sunset while listening to the live music. A perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Excellent spot right on the water. If you blink, you could miss it. The Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and hit the spot and the calamari and oysters were on point as well. The service was super friendly and efficient. Loved being here. We will be back.

Ran into this restaurant all the way in the back . It was quiet and warm enough that we sat outside by the water. Such a nice view. Staff were extremely friendly, and even the manager came out to greet us. The flavors on our entrees were so significant and flavorful. My child ended up trying raw oysters and couldn't get enough. Everything about this place was great.

I wish I could put negative stars. I am not a person who normally writes reviews but this experience is an honorable mention. I paid a 20$ EACH cover for my friend and I, while behind women who explicitly told me they were 19 years old with fake ids. I went to the bar and proceeded to get a watered down cocktail. I spoke to the manager and multiple bouncers who dismissed my concerns and was denied a refund no more than 5 minutes after entering. This establishment should be reported and lose their liquor license. Absolutely outrageous, do not go here.

What a hidden gem. Away from crowded Thames st, breezy Harborside pub, where you can seat yourself and self serve food and drinks. Food at first glance doesn't seem pricey, but fish sticks & fries $15 comes with 3 small sticks. Clam chowder $10 was a bit salty. Ice coffee $6. I would return to just sit and watch the boats.

A pleasant bar on Goat Island with wonderful views of the marina. Drinks are a decent price but the food menu is a mystery? I don't know when the kitchen is open or what they serve, but their bartenders are incredibly kind and cater to your every need. Parking can be quite cumbersome during the afternoons, early evenings, and weekends due to the volume of visitors on Goat Island. Highly recommended for mature business professionals, looking for a local New England seaside bar experience.

How fun is this place! We just arrived in Newport after a long drive and decided to try a new place. I'm glad we did! Great atmosphere and bar. Beautiful view. Great bar tenders and wait staff. All SO friendly. It was essentially all outdoors and not your typical place to eat. It was more a sort of, take out and seat yourself kind of thing. But, i truly enjoyed the experience. My husband and I both had salads with added chicken, he had the chowder. All good. Beautiful view of the marina. Everyone in a good mood. Nice kickoff to our weekend. Thanks guys!

Stopped in for a quick drink. Bartenders were great and bar was clean. Mudslides and Rum Runners were excellent.

Stopped in while taking the boat taxi ride around the harbor. It was worth the stop. Tried the fish tacos and they were great. The swordfish was spiced to my liking. The best however were their French fries. I was stealing them from my wife's plate and I couldn't stop eating them. Cooked perfectly. View of the harbor was also great.

This place is awesome! Great drinks and a great view! We got the peanut butter mudslides with extra peanut butter and they were delicious! Definitely after a few they could get dangerous lol. We felt that this place was quite quaint and quiet, though we were there on a Friday afternoon in June. We would certainly come back again!

Even though they have a limited menu, the food is delicious and the drinks are too. The drink menu is creative and all prices are reasonable. You certainly can't beat the view of Newport Harbor! Note that this place is seasonal and closes after Columbus Day. Also the menu listed here is not their current menu. They still have the clam chowder though.

Overall we had a decent time at the reef; we came for lunch. One thing that is a small pet peeve of mine is when a place will advertise indoor and outdoor seating, but there will be no barrier to the outside so the inside seating is basically outside anyway. It was a hot day and we had been out in the sun and asked to sit inside, but they had one of the walls open to the outdoors so the indoor seating really wasn’t much relief from the elements. Still, our server was very nice. It took a little while to get our food but it was very flavorful. I got the calamari and lobster bisque, my husband got the swordfish. We both enjoyed our dishes. We both drank water as our beverage however they didn’t put any ice in either of our drinks, and there was debris in my water- additionally because there was no barrier to the outdoors a gnat died in my soup and there was one in my water as well. The decor of the place feels a bit run down/dated for the menu price. While we were eating some guy was walking his dog through the area between the indoor and outdoor seating, and his dog urinated into one of the potted plants. No one (dog owner or staff) attempted to stop this from happening.

We made reservations for a waterside brunch. Farmers omelet was delicious and cooked perfectly. It was paired with simple spring greens with a light vinaigrette that was equally delicious. Avocado toast was very well done a tasty. Egg was perfectly cooked to a soft boil. Highly recommend both brunch items.

Food was just above average. Although the Greek Ceviche was odd IMO. Cheap plastic like Feta and raw fish was a weird combo. Most loved dishes of the night were the Watermelon Salad, Asian noodles and the Crispy tuna appetizer. Service was very friendly and the place is nice, right on the dock. Good gluten free knowledge and options.

This was a stop on the Newport Foodies Stroll. We had a bowl of their clam chowder. Apparently, Rhode Island Clam Chowder is very brothy whereas New England Clam Chowder is very creamy. This was described as a hybrid - more of a light cream. There is excellent flavor in every bite and I definitely recommend it. The view is quite wonderful as well.

The Reef was the perfect spot for my birthday brunch! The lobster benedict was AMAZING, really wished we'd gotten two! We had such a fun time with our server Jamie. It was hilarious trying to guess all the different songs that the live steel drum band were playing (live music on Sundays). Great views, great atmosphere! Would definitely go back.

Everything was just right. We almost did not get in though. They seat the last table at 8:45. Our server was wonderful. They were able to accommodate a food sensitivity to gluten, dairy and soy. She had the hamburger and truffle fries. They have a separate gluten free fryer.

We came to The Reef during off-season. The food was delicious & the service was great. I enjoyed the lobster pappardelle pasta so much - pasta had a bite and the sauce was fresh, savory, and herby. Oysters were fresh and delicious too! Clam chowder was a bit watery for what it is, however, it was still tasteful and nice. Overall the environment was quieter due to it being off season, which I prefer. But it was a nice restaurant to grab a bite at! Owners and workers there were attentive and lovely people.

Went to bar and board last month for my birthday with a few friends and sister. We sat upstairs at the bar and had some really great drinks. Our cheese board was nice (and tasty), but the wings were not good at all. I also didn’t realize we had to pay for the added items outside of the cheese and meats (when we were offered them I thought it was just part of the board and said sure). I think next time we would just stick to drinks. Overall, i would go back for the vibes, views, drinks and service.

I had such a great experience here on a Friday night! Not only was the food amazing, but they also had live music, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. I ordered the grilled chicken with Caesar salad, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, and the salad was fresh, crisp, and topped with just the right amount of parmesan. The waiting time was awesome — my food came out quickly, and the service was friendly and attentive the whole time. The service was friendly and attentive, and the live music created such a fun and welcoming vibe. It was the perfect combination of great food, great service, and great ambiance. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to friends! For dessert, I had the most indulgent treat a rich brownie topped with creamy ice cream, drizzled in caramel and chocolate, sprinkled with nuts, and finished with swirls of whipped cream. Every bite was a perfect balance of warm and cold, sweet and nutty. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked!

Enjoyed my dinner here with my parents. Our waitress was great and really sweet! I really enjoyed the board we got and the drinks, the enclosed porch was great to sit and people watch.

Meatball Trio and colossal shrimp were excellent. Sea bass special was good once salted - very bland upon delivery, and the lobster role was inconsistent throughout - some bites were tender and buttery and others dry, chewy and lacking flavor. The smash burger (not pictured) was just ok. We received our food before drinks, had empty water glasses most of the time, and our server forgot two or three time each: silverware (we ended up taking from the server station), water, salt, and a to go box. Good location and spot for people watching through the windows.

Highly recommend! As visitors, we wanted a place for dinner that was in the heart of downtown but didn't feel touristy. The lasagna bianca was absolutely delicious as was the salmon! Even though we were full, we had to try the bread pudding -- we savored every moist, rich, satisfying bite. (The portion was so generous that we took some home for later!) I am a foodie at heart and was so glad we ate here, sitting in the tasteful bar area overlooking cobblestone streets with docks across the street.

Stopped in here twice the week of 9/14/25 stumbled into the bar Sunday evening because we heard the live Jazz from the street. Had excellent cocktails at the bar while enjoying the music. Spoke with chef, Andrew and he talked us into visiting later in the week on Taco Tuesday, which we did. We loved the Birria Tacos and Salmon entree. I also want to give a shoutout to our server Connor, he was excellent as well. The whole vibe of this restaurant is classy and fun. While the food and drinks are just as enjoyable! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Newport.

From the moment we walked in the door, it was the coolest vibe in Newport. We sat at the bar with Jonah and Angel because we didn't have a reservation on a busy Friday night, had great drinks. Manager came and grabbed us as she was able to seat us with Sailor, probably one of the best service we ever had. Such a beautiful place with great music.

We hosted our welcome drinks the night before our wedding at One Pelham East, and it was hands down one of the best decisions we made. From the very beginning, Abby and Zack were incredibly easy to work with, making the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. Zack was there the night of the event and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of, constantly checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The staff did a fantastic job ensuring that only our guests had access to the private space we rented, which made it feel truly special. The setup was absolutely perfect, the food was phenomenal, and the bartenders were amazing—especially given the size of our party. All of our guests had an absolute blast. We would HIGHLY recommend One Pelham East for welcome drinks or any pre / post wedding celebration!

Absolutely the BEST bar in Newport! The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel like a regular. There’s something fun happening every night, from themed events to live music — but karaoke night is my personal favorite. I never miss it! If you're looking for great drinks, good vibes, and an unforgettable night out, this is the place to be!!

We had our sons wedding rehearsal luncheon and the staff were exceptional. I had contacted them months in advance and Abby was so helpful with everything I needed and responded quickly to emails. I'm only taking 1 star away because the welcome signs I paid for were not out when we got there and I was very disappointed in that, but that is the only thing that was disappointing. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely go back there again.

10/25 - Last night of our NE bus trip so we had to close it out with drinks on the town. Heard live music across the street so off to Pelham's we went. A younger crowd that greated us 'old folks' inviting us to play games & conversation. Drink prices were typical for the area, service was great, a fun place to spend the evening.

Amazing club for dance. We went to enjoy Newport nightlife & we definitely didn't miss any part of it. Only issue: We found no food options

Abby Medeiros and her team did another fantastic job making sure our casual work gathering went off without a hitch. The location was perfect, creating just the right vibe for relaxed networking and great conversations. Plus, the food was a big hit with everyone—delicious and just what we needed to keep the energy up. Huge thanks to Abby and the team for making it such a smooth and enjoyable event!

Nice music and decent dancing. It's overpriced- we paid a cover for two different floors so it was 25 dollars just for cover and 4 drinks were 70 dollars FYI.

We came here for dinner one night and it was good. It’s very much a “hotel restaurant” which felt extremely corporate and lacking in terms of character or true decoration. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and the food was brought out fresh. My husband got the fish and chips which he said was fishy. I got the boiled lobster dinner which was good. It came with rice pilaf and broccoli which I enjoyed. For dessert, we both got the special dessert of sticky toffee cake which, flavor-wise, was delicious. The only complaint was that we were told it was served warm but the toffee sauce on top was still congealed and the cake was cool (not cold as they’d probably microwaved the chill off of it). Also, don’t order a hot tea unless you want to overpay for a cup of hot water and a teabag ($4).

I came here for a 20 year club dinner for my job. Our server was amazing and food was awesome! We got a few appetizers, a few girls got the Surf and Turf, one got a Club Sandwich, and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. I got the boiled lobster, a strawberry Malibu Blast and a Caramel Basket. Definitely recommend!!

We sat outside to enjoy the great weather, but we were still close enough to hear the live jazz band! The ambiance was great, service was great, but the food was better! Those oysters were superb! I almost never do dessert, but with food this good -you gotta! Definitely will come back!

I never leave 1 star review. If I’m going leave review I always give the business 5 star because I know how it helps. But the way I was treated Friday at the check in by Liz was very rude. I made 8pm dinner reservation and drove 1 hour to the restaurant. Upon arrival with attitude Liz tells me that the kitchen is very backed up that they are not seating anyone til they catch up! She said don’t know when will that be if I want step aside and stand over there . I was confused and explained to her that I drove 1 hour and it’s 8pm too late to regroup I have no choice but to wait, where is over there that I could wait ? She once again gave me attitude because I was getting the vibe that she wanted us to leave not wait. I asked for her name and her entire attitude changed by then it was too late, I rather spend $200 on dinner & drinks somewhere that knows how talk to customers even if they are busy so we left. It’s just poor service, seems like they don’t know how to run busy restaurant. I went back on open table and again I see bunch of available times for dinner and I picked time again just see it and let me book it. If they so busy they can easily call the customers let them know unfortunately they not taking anymore reservations instead of letting people book it and drive there to just be turned down. Very disappointing.

We were a party of 9 and had dinner there everything was great! We got there before the dinner rush and we sat outside. I had the littlenecks zuppa, boiled lobster and we shared the appetizers calamari, clam cakes, chowder, and flatbreads for the kids. everything was awesome. our server Kyla was great. The atmosphere was nice and calm. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food!! Wouldn't mind going here again!

Great restaurant! We ate three times throughout the week- once dine in and two times room service. All the items were delicious and fresh. Service was quick and Abigail(?) was so kind.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Surf Club, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. What truly made the evening special was the excellent service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. I would especially like to thank the manager, Jovana, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and genuine care for the guests made a big impression. I highly recommend Surf Club to anyone looking for great food and service. I will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful place. Super cozy with an open kitchen. Ordered the Lemon Bar Martini and the Tuna Nachos. We are from Ohio for vacation and Chloe was our bartender who gave us awesome recommendations of places to check out. Very kind and welcoming. Good job guys.

One of the few places that still has outdoor seatings in November. Our puppy liked the chicken, but our fish tacos and blackened shrimp were okay. Recommend this place to anyone dining with a dog. 🐶

Sat outside during lunch, great location. Service was outstanding, very helpful and such friendly staff with quick turn around time as drinks were immediately delivered and food took less than 10 mins from ordering. I had the surf club burger and she had the chicken tacos. Burger was disappointingly without much of a taste at all and seemed that it was just a regular burger patty. The fries were drenched in oil and had a fishy taste to them, possibly by being fried on same oil(?). Chicken tacos also had little taste to it. They are missing that special touch to make the dishes stand out. Would definitely recommend this place for drinks as it was fun but I’d skip it as a lunch/dinner spot.

Fair is fair - the food is respectable. However, it came to the table cold because our waiter was no where to be found. Worse, we were there between 6-8pm for dinner service but seated between over-served tables that spilled into yelling at eachother and the manager, like the waiter, was nowhere to be found. Despite the food, I can't recommend because of poor management and untrained wait staff.

Evelyn is awesome!! She made great drinks and also great suggestions about the menu as we were indecisive about what to get. She is personable without being overbearing and helpful without being pushy. From someone with a management degree, she is a great addition to the establishment!

This place was great! It has seating options both inside and outside. More importantly though, it has the best vegetarian buffalo wings I've ever had. I'd take them over a lot of other buffalo wings I've had vegetarian or not. The pizza was great as well. I got their barrel aged old-fashioned and it was a great way to start off the meal.

Went with my wife and son , for my birthday weekend . Had the brisket nachos , and the pork crack thang it was good . The I'm back to souffle was mid but overall just delicious and I'm waitress was quite nice.

After a disappointing first visit, we were invited back for a complimentary six-course meal with tequila pairings. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the evening enjoyable. Our server was also very knowledgeable about the various tequila we enjoyed. The appetizers were flavorful and well-prepared, while the main dishes and desserts were pleasant, though not as memorable. We appreciate the restaurant making the effort to provide a much better experience this time.

Chips came out burned. Server was nice and attentive. Restaurant needs a remodel. Not sure if it’s Hawaiian or Mexican? Bar area looks fun , well stocked and clean. Pain killer was good.

The food was delicious, well seasoned. I got the street tacos and a spicy Paloma. My friend got the vegetarian nachos which was a nice portion and also delicious.

First came here because of the vegetarian and gluten free menus, makes it so easy when people have diet restrictions! I always say I'm going to try something new, but I end up getting the veggie nachos every time, they are so good!! Everyone I go with has liked their food too, never any complaints. House margarita is nice and the harvest margarita in the fall is great!

Cole is one of the best waiters EVER!!! Impressive. I eat here a few times a year. This location has inconsistent food ranging from 3.5 to 5 stars. The drinks are always 5 star. It feels comfortable here. Thanks Cole!

Typically, the family picks up nachos to go from this location. The guacamole is always fresh and tasty, and vegetarian options are outstanding. The views from the back deck are incredible around sunset. Absolutely a great place to gather for a very good meal and time.

We were looking for a place in Newport for 14 people, and no one had space for such a big group on a Saturday night. Finally, we found this amazing spot with such great vibes and atmosphere, where we celebrated my mom’s birthday. It was a wonderful, cozy family night. We came to Stoneacre garden on a Friday afternoon and was able to get seated without a reservation. The waiting staff here are so friendly and offered some great food suggestions. We just wanted some drinks and to share a burger but we didn’t realize how delicious everything would be. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! Make a reservation if you’re going during a busy time because I can tell it gets packed.

Today my girlfriend and I visited Newport from CT and AZ respectively to celebrate our 3 year anniversary, and were disappointed beyond belief. The restaurant looked good and had good reviews and up until we received our food, we believed so. Our server was kind and helpful and we know this was out of her control. To start, we ordered a "watermelon burrata salad", and to our disbelief, there were 2 pieces of watermelon. First red flag. Then it came time to order our mains, in which we both ordered the steak frites, medium rare. Our waitress then came back and told us that we could order "pink or not pink". Second red flag. Finally, the food came and oh my god was it awful. Flavour non-existent. You could get more flavour licking your own sweaty skin and the bottom of your worn out shoes than that steak. It was lukewarm at best and was noticeably a reheated steak. I felt like I relived an episode of Gordon ramsay's "Hell's Kitchen". Sure there were grill lines, but they may as well have tattooed that onto the meat considering the lack of charred texture. Bland does not even put into words how plain this was. You could've eaten paper and left with more of an after taste. Don't make our mistake and do not come here.

Sunday afternoon rooftop party is the best thing that has happened to Rhode Island in years. So much fun! We ate downstairs after and it was really really good! Aces!

Stoneacre Garden did an amazing job hosting our wedding after-party! The passed canapés and the Espresso Martini tower were huge hits with our guests. It was an incredible way to end our special day—thank you!

Met Adam and not only did he provide great service, but he provided a great attitude. He provided us fresh caught tuna that was the best tuna I have ever had and a white wine that was even better. A great guy that truly cares about his business and cares about the service he provides customers. Would definitely come back and is a gorgeous events center to host weddings and other special events. Would highly recommend as a member of the service industry myself

The building and decor for wedding reception were beautiful. The staff were very efficient and kept things running smoothly. The food was served buffet style with enough choices for all to find something they enjoyed. The dance floor was a little small, but everyone seemed to squeeze in and have fun!

We had such a great experience at the Vanderbilt dining room. The atmosphere was dark and moody in the best way — it gave off a true old money vibe that made the whole night feel a little more special. We started with raw oysters, clams, and Old Bay cocktail shrimp, and everything was sooo good — super fresh and flavorful. We also split a Caesar salad (because why not?) before diving into our main dinner, which we picked off the specials list: steak frites, cooked perfectly medium rare. Every bite was delicious. Already looking forward to coming back!

LOVED absolutely everything about this place! I am sad that I count try everything. The servers and staff was very considerate. Having explained about portions and being vegetarian...they did everything they could to accommodate it without us having to request. The food was delicious! I am in awe of the Ribolitta they served and would love to shout out about it from the Newport lighthouses. I could not take better pictures due to the lighting. The prices are competitive with other restaurants in the area and is nothing over the top. I would have been more cognizant about dress code, but we had been traveling and were exhausted. Definitely would be coming here again. Highly highly recommend!

I made reservations and visited for brunch with my family. Quite a charming resort and dining area, wonderfully decorated and had a very welcoming feel. The brunch was very good and the cocktails were outstanding. The service was impeccable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I will certainly visit this place again for a meal and hopefully stay the weekend in the near future.

Three in my party dined here and all had an amazing meal. The quality of the food was outstanding. We started with shrimp cocktail, smoke haddock croquettes, and garden salad. All excellent. The main courses consisted of duck which was cooked perfectly as was the ribeye for two. I selected the Frenzy Sauvignon Blanc and was very pleased. For dessert we tried collectively the sticky toffee pudding. It was a spice cake with coffee ice cream and a caramel base. All in all the ambience was excellent and staff was good as well.

When you want to escape the tourist riff raf of Newport and enjoy an elegant old world dining room, look no further than here. The ambiance is 1st class, without being pretentious and quiet where you can actually hold a conversation over dinner. The cocktails we started off with were all expertly made, I had the sweet heat while my friend ordered the nomadic old fashioned and my wife ordered the paper tiger. For food we had 2 Royal’s(burgers) and they were ligit, so so good. My wife had the Harry’s Bar Ham & Gruyère, very, very good. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

No surprises here. An atmosphere of luxury from the past is evident in all areas of the property that we were able to see during our brief visit. We were on a cruise, reached port early in the day, and made the short trek to The Vanderbilt for breakfast. Quiet, subdued luxury is the vibe here. Standard breakfast fare is offered. Our meals were well prepared and presented nicely. Service was fast and friendly. The price was consistent with a meal from an establishment that has the name "Vanderbilt". All-in-all a nice experience at a price I expected.

A classic restaurant, offering a prix fixe menu for Christmas Day. The atmosphere was wonderful, resembling a colonial style, New Orleans like environment. There was live music. The food was great, very tasty and plenty. After dinner, the restaurant manager gave us a quick tour of the rest of the hotel. It was a great visit.

I can’t speak to the food because we just had sunset drinks. But in terms of drinks if you make a reservation you will get a table…. But the tables don’t have the best views. The self seating bar does. We walked in on a Thursday evening around 7 pm and found a seat at the bar. The service is a bit slow and not at all up to the standards of the hotel on the first floor. However i would go back to enjoy the great views . There is only one bathroom upstairs that is right next to where the elevator is that leads to a bit of a crowded feeling that characterizes the whole place. The atmosphere loses one star for looking out on a parking lot before you elevate your eyes to the sunset 😀

This is a tremendous view of the sunset! But bring low expectations of everything else. The service was painfully slow and inattentive, despite a large staff given the size of the venue. The food is OK, but came before the drinks, which was disappointing. Beautiful views, but missed the mark on service, big time. Menu is sparse, but what we ordered was OK.

This place has a spectacular view and you pay the price for it. They have a variety of cocktails which are good. We enjoyed the sunset with two cocktails and a pretzel and then we went to the bar downstairs which is very characteristic and has an exclusive atmosphere. It can get very loud when full. The service is very good and the personnel is very kind and welcoming..

This places is magic. Great cocktails with an excellent service. The food is amazing and the cocktails are out of this world!!! We couldn’t enjoy the rooftop but the bar in the first floor is very gorgeous.

Hours online show until 10pm… had dinner at the Vanderbilt; before dinner at 7:30 was told it was too crowded on the rooftop and they couldn’t accommodate anyone else- then told shortly after 9 that last call was 9:10 and we couldn’t go- after very slow dinner service. Very annoying. Limited menu. Not sure I’d recommend/return.

Beautiful rooftop in Newport! We had a great view of the city and the harbor! Drinks were great and the food was delicious.

We had an amazing time last night with old friends and a few superb drinks on the Roof Deck at the Vanderbilt! Great views! Great atmosphere! Great service! The whole building is going through renovations, but don’t let that stop you from going! Can’t wait to see the finished product!

Honest Opinion from someone that have been out there RI Newport is one of the best places in The USA 🇺🇸 👌 particularly because you can bring your family and feel comfortable and safe✔👍 lot of history, entertainment, restaurants beautiful views & sunset 🌇 you need to experience

Plenty to see and do in this harbor. The Harbor Master has plenty of staff and does a great job keeping everyone moving. Very crowded and busy waterway

Let me say aristocratic city with castles and big fences. It's a close to European style, but not at all. And some kind of American - like a mix.

Loved lounging around the firepit, with stunning view of Narragansett Bay and Newport Bridge. Sunday lunch hour in September was quiet and not crowded. Service and food was ok. Prosecco La Marca $14 Clam chowder 13 - bland. Crispy cod sandwich $26 scallion tartar, cheddar cheese in ciabatta, with fries. Deep fried cod was fresh inside, but greasy on the outside. Tartar sauce was bland with no kick. Ciabatta and herb fries were quite good. Crispy chicken wings $21 Fresno, sweet chili glaze. Nice chili flavor with mild heat, but chicken meat was too tough and rubbery..

Awesome hotel bar and bartenders! Nice drink selection. Was a fun (and blurry) place to go after the wedding reception

I am sitting at The Fire pit Gurneys. It is such an amazing place with absolutely the best ambiance on the island to enjoy sunset and just continue under the lights through the night around the fire pit. Overlooking the bay and bridge with amazing drinks and light fare. My biggest shout out goes to the staff. My server Anna is like a sunshine, on top of things, showering everything with her energy and smile and professional approach. But as equally I feel the great team spirit and attention to details to everyone around - the hostess , the busser. On top of already perfect evening (and it is not my first here) the drink is amazing.

Beautiful ambience, delicious food, and impeccable service. Will definitely be back!
