My hotel recommended this, and I loved every bite. My server Dante spoke great English which made for an incredibly educational and informative tasting experience. He was full of stories about all the different meals and drinks of the Michoacan region. And the food was incredible. I had a local fish that was cooked in a traditional method. I also tried the cocktail Tiki, which used a regional rum like spirit called charanda. Be sure to try some drinks here and ask him to tell you the stories behind them, and what Michoacan mezcals are different from the ones you’ll find in Oaxaca or other pets of Mexico! I love when servers are passionate and informed about the food and drinks they serve. He is a server made for true foodies!

Beautiful space with a nice garden in the back. Service was fast and friendly. The Torta Ahogada TATA (cochinita pibil) was fantastic and served with, what I believe was a poblano consommé (my Spanish is weak, so wasn't sure I understood correctly). I've never had a torta served this way, but it just worked!

We came here for our 5th anniversary and had an amazing time! Delicious and beautifully presented food. 2 for 1 cocktails after 5 pm. A nice wine list with lots of reasonably priced options by the glass or bottle. Great service and a very nice atmosphere as well. We loved everything, thank you!!

Highly recommended. The food was excellent and beautifully plated. On Tuesdays they offer some quite unique tacos that were delicious - such as a falafel taco and a crunchy taco with salmon. The decor is beautiful and artistic. Very good service as well. Perhaps the only negative is that they are a bit pricey - but it is worth it for a special meal out.

The service was great. I am English only speaking and the waiter was able to accommodate me. He gave great service with good recommendations! This place is amazing. The staff, the food and the atmosphere are Two thumbs up. The tuna and the pulpo with pork rinds were sooo good. They also have dozens of mezcals as options.

We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had a fabulous time in between the 2 for 1 cocktails (for happy hour afrer 5) huge portions of richly flavoured dishes, the vibrant atmosphere and incredibly kind service. Our waiter was so patient even though we had several impatient kids with us. Both the duck dishes and the barbacoa were outstanding, great for sharing - and everything was so reasonably priced. Will definitely return - everything was so good that we forgot to take photos. Edited: went back for cocktails and apps - equally as fabulous for the pulpo tacos, pulled pork sandwiches and a creme brûlée.

This place is legit. We arrived right before closing. Waitress allowed us inside and kept the kitchen open for us to order. We were politely asked to leave close to 4AM. 100% recommended this place.

Beautiful location with lots of historic architecture to view on the patio. The live band was fantastic, and the menu had a nice mix of traditional Mexican and international dishes with a twist. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy. This is one of the only places in the area that is open until late at night.

Beautiful place with a funky luxurious atmosphere. Drinks were excellent. Fries were a little undercooked but flavor was great. My wifes fish was a little greasy but she enjoyed it. Overall it was a great experience. I would come here again.

Really good alternative food and decent drinks. However, the place is consistently crowded and with one of the worst services I've experienced. It's not rare to wait for half an hour for your food only to find out that the waiter forgot your food, and wait another half hour for it to be ready. It happens every time. The place isn't very tidy either. They often have enjoyable music events, but the space is tiny and badly ventilated. The audio is usually badly mixed and extremely loud, to the point you only hear a constant drone. It's a shame because it is a really good concept, just badly executed.

The place is good if you like the hippie style. Food tastes very well but it could take a long time until you get your order.

Great place to dance and enjoy a few drinks. All locals spot. Highly recommend if you want to learn how to Salsa, Bachata, or just enjoy seeing the beautiful dance being performed.

Horrible Experience for being the first time!! When we arrived a man welcomed us and did notify us they pesticide, but never told us regarding the roaches. Me thinking bugs, aunts etc! I order a vegetarian lasagna and everything was good until I cut the lasagna in small portions I had 2 bites when I saw a small German cockroach in my food!! I got so disappointed and disgusted! I called the waitress and notify her and she apologized offer a new plate & of course I said no! I was disgusted and felt so nauseous. I don’t recommend this place!

Tasty dips for the table. Really enjoyed the beets and garbanzo bean plus the red salsa. Wouldn’t order the fish tacos but the rest of the food was tasty. Desert a little too spongy for my liking, frijol soup was nice but wish they had a little more taste.

Food presentation is really good. Food itself a bit cold(chamorro), enchiladas dry and stale. The place a bit too hot during the day( will be nice to have a fan at least).

Food? Decor? Forget that. The highlight of this place is its CATASTROPHIC service. We arrived at 2:30 with a lunch reservation for two. The place was half empty. After asking 4 times to 3 different waiters they took the order at 3:00. Main courses arrived at 3:30, and the starters? They forgot!!!. Plus one of the main courses was wrong so we send it back and the right one came only at 3:45. All this with only 6 tables to serve. Avoid this place, it's a disaster and they spoil your day.

This is a restaurant that is highly regarded by many and I was looking forward to a top dining experience. Unfortunately they fell far short of expectations. Service was nice and professional. Appetizer was filled dry Chile's with a green cilantro salsa. Very nice. Main was pork ribs with a dark red mole. It was a disappointment. The ribs were completely dry on the outside as if they were warmed up in a deep frier. Consistency was that of meaty chicharrones. Only the inside 30% was soft. The mole completely lacked depth and was only adequate to douse the dried meat on the outside. Only one red wine, a Chilean Cabernet, was available in a glass. It arrived at around 50F which is too cold. I was able to get a hint of it's taste after it warmed up around desert. Desert was corn pie, pay de elote, and was sensational. There is a reason why this restaurant received numerous awards, but that was not evident today. My three stars are based on standards that are expected of a fine dining restaurant. Sad, they have some work to do.

At the beginning of our experience was pleasant. The place is clean and music is good. The menu had great selection, I had order my food and drinks and it was brought to us in a timely manner. I had order an additional food and drinks. The waitress shift was coming to an end and she had to close out all open accounts. I did not have a problem, so I got my drinks in 5 mins and was waiting for my food. 15 mins had passed and nothing. I asked the waitress and she said she was going to see what was the hold up. She came up to me apologize and said the food will be up shortly. 10 mins passed and brouggt the food and said I never added your food to the order and had to open a new tab. I told her if I would of known this from the beginning I would of canceled the food. She apologize and said don't worry about it. We walk off and the manager said hey you can't leave because you will need to pay for the food. I explained what happen and wanted to know how was it our fault and the waitress had mentioned it was on the house. The manager said he didn't care what she said but we had to pay for the food. Which was 50 pesos ($2.50USD) no customer service and places like this changes the perception. I strongly DO NOT recommend this place. Like of management skills.

Amazing terrace for drinks, they have their own Cuagama Stout around $190 pesos and mezcal are joven but very tasty and economical. Great ambiance/music & attentive staff!

The shrimp BBQ burger and shrimp burrito were delicious and hearty. The atmosphere was very nice, however smoking is allowed at the tables on the terrace which was disappointing.

One of the best places in Morelia to try local Artesanal beer. Went there with friends and try their La bru beer and it es amazing. The service was fast and the music they play is also good.

I used to be a regular however they raised their prices by a hefty 20-25%. A bohemia oscura is now selling at 55! A regular Carta Blanca 45! Get real folks. I still visit though rarely because I befriended some people who work there not because you're hottest place in morelia. Now I will have to go elsewhere. Good luck.

The drinks took forever to arrive, when they did - they were more like juice than alcoholic drinks, and when the bill came the price was different then advertised. To top it off they give you attitude if you mention any of that.

I visited this place the 'Beer Bank Morelia' once, it was late, and although the place is relatively rather small, I would think it's best to visit it with your friends and share your likes on the different sorts of beer that you can find here, the staff is kind and polite. Favorite bar in Morelia. Real speakeasy vibes, great cocktails, chill staff. Their classic, Oro Verde, is one of the best cocktails i've ever had. Located next to/behind a pizza place, this bar has a cool password game you play with clues on their instagram posts. You walk in through a secret, not obvious, door and are transported into a darker, calmer, bar. Service was great with very helpful bartenders.

The service was superb but I just didn’t enjoy the food. If you like Mexican fusion food I think you will enjoy this but folks from English speaking parts of North America will likely be disappointed, if you have a hankering for Italian... this isn’t really it.

According to many on here This restaurant used to be a very good restaurant, a friend had the best stake of her life here jist a few month back, however it looks like they've changed their staff and the new chef made us the most unbelievably disgusting steaks (if you can even call that a steak, it looked and tasted like spam!!Absolutely disgusting, we sent back all three steaks 99% intact because non of us could eat a single bite, worst part we paid 400 pesos each stake but they refused to give back our money, we will never be back again.
