The Love Apple is a charming restaurant located in a former church, offering seasonal New Mexican cuisine with French influences. The rustic patio provides an intimate dining experience. The restaurant's interior is adorned with art, creating a unique atmosphere for guests to enjoy. The building's historical significance adds to the overall appeal of the dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant emphasizes regional, local, and organic home cooking, with a menu that changes regularly to showcase seasonal produce availability.
Love the ambience of this re-purposed old church! Each dish is thoughtfully crafted, though the excellent starter of grilled endives and leeks with a caper vinaigrette, bacon, parmesan, and a fried egg was the best for me. Have to have the super soft corn muffins as well, and the delicious pinon tart.

I really love this restaurant—I’ve been here before, and the food is consistently excellent. This time, it was especially busy, and our waitress seemed overwhelmed. I probably would’ve ordered another drink, or even coffee and dessert, if she’d had the time—or willingness—to take my order. When I did ask, she was noticeably rude. Later, she returned and said, “Oh, did someone already take your order?” which felt more like a cover-up for her behavior than a genuine mix-up. To her credit, she did offer me a dessert to go, which I appreciated—but the overall interaction still left a bad taste in my mouth. I get that busy shifts can be stressful, but basic courtesy really matters. That said, the food here is still fantastic, and I’ll be back—but I hope the service is better next time.

What a gem! We were visiting Taos and decided to try this restaurant for dinner. Luckily we were able to get a reservation. In the dark, very hard to find. But once you find it, the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful and inviting. Service is attentive and prompt. Food was out standing, especially sea bass. A must try. For appetizers, We had the corn bread, which the restaurant is known for, and grilled mushroom - savory and well flavored. Our second entree was the duck dish with mole. The duck was well cooked and prepared. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and time at the Love Apple.

If you're in Taos, New Mexico, this should be a stop. Daughter did the research and proclaimed it to be a MUST DO so we did. The setting is almost like a hidden gem. It's tucked back in a gravel parking lot! Once you walk to it, it's very warm and inviting with Whispering curtains and colorful seating. ENTER! and wow very small entry and please make sure you have a reservation (ours was 1 month in advance) because again, it's not likely a walk in will be seated (management please correct me if I'm wrong). Daughter and I are seated and immediately served water with menus. Server arrives literally 10 seconds later. She is so informative and friendly! We order a bottle of red and the famous blue corn muffins with dill/parmesan butter to start. Daughter not enamored of the red wine so I graciously accept the residue (I'm not driving). The blue corn/yellow muffin appetizer is a wide eyed enjoyment. Literally crumbles in our mouths and the 2 butters slathered on top is worthy of an Oscar. Next up: The beet/grapefruit/avocado salad which is so gorgeously presented it should be a fascinator (that's a British hat). It's scrumptious! The sweet, tart and bland meld well! And now the next Oscar! My fried avocado tacos and daughter's encrusted sea bass makes an appearance ONLY to be devoured in nothing flat. The tacos were (first) like a painting on my plate! Green, purple, orange embedded in a soft brown shell. One bite folks and I'm wondering if I've had my last taco. ABSOLUTELY SUBLIME. every taste melts with each other! Nothing overpowers each ingredient. That's what you call perfection! Daughter let me have a bite of her sea bass and I was absolutely blown away by the non fishy taste (do you look for that too?). So just to be completely, 100% overboard YES! DESSERT! We order the flour less chocolate torte and man, the minute it's in front of us I smile because this presentation suggests it's going to be delicious and IT IS. whoa! Chocolate taste is sliding down your throat with a thunder you haven't experienced. It's unmatched and please! Pick up the homemade whipped cream with your fork for a further bounce. Our dinner here was one of the best! Please note: it's cash only and that's cold, hard cash. No cash apps accepted. Well worth it!

Cute little restaurant in Taos. Very unassuming from the outside. Hard to make a reservation if you don’t have a US phone number, as they only confirm via calling you back after you leave them a message. So I called on the day through WhatsApp and luckily someone picked up and booked us a table. I did try messaging on their social media first and explained the limited contact options, but didn’t hear back. We had a salad, corn muffins (which were the main standout for us), a tamale, tacos, and a crumble dessert. Plenty of veggie options. All decent, nothing earth shattering. A good option when in Taos.

Fantastic service and delicious food. The atmosphere inside is pretty calm and romantic for a nice evening dinner.

Favorite place for a nice dinner in Taos. Call for reservations. Local flavors in amazing combinations, beautifully plated. Good wine and great service. Cash only.

What a charming, lovely, fine dining experience! This restaurant has taken the fine dining to a different level with their unique combination of fresh and locally sourced ingredients. So satisfying! The decor, the mood, the lighting, and the music made this a perfect location to celebrate a special night. Our waiter patiently assisted us choosing the meals that suits our appetite being vegetarian. We shared Seasonal fruit, local greens, pecans and warm goat cheese salad followed by Love Apple Tacos (vegetarian) and a tasty dessert. I'd LOVE to be back here again one day.

Restaurant
Lambert's of Taos is a charming restaurant located in downtown Taos, offering an intimate and upscale setting for enjoying contemporary American cuisine. The cozy cottage ambiance, complete with dim lighting and cocktail jazz, sets the stage for savoring their delectable dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. From the flavorful lamb shank to the perfectly cooked scallop dish, the menu boasts a variety of creative offerings.
Lambert’s is the gem of Taos, with a charming courtyard that offers romance and relaxation. The menu is thoughtfully curated, and the dishes are expertly prepared. The gazpacho, the bass, the dessert — every course is seasonal, made from scratch, and has an exceptional flavor profile. We appreciated the friendly, highly professional service as well…the kind you’d expect in a city many times the size. The indoor seating is likely a highlight too, but if you’re able to enjoy this historic adobe building’s al fresco dining, it’s guaranteed to please. Just perfect!

Had an unforgettable evening with delicious food and incredible service. Julie and Cheylah took great care of us and made the experience 10/10. The filet mignon was to die for!

Excellent service and flavors. Our son had ordered wine for us (from Kalamazoo!). Very well-trained staff. Five-spice chicken was very good. Green salad quite unique and tasty. The Tiramisu would not be recognized by an Italian, but was still excellent. Quiet dining on the patio.

Had a wonderful dinner here was the most fancy I ever felt truly. Should be a Michelin star restaurant in my opinion
Dev H — Google review
If you appreciate haute cuisine and professional service and are willing to pay for both, add Lambert’s of Taos to your To Do list. The food is not really Mexican or New Mexican. It’s more classic European-American fare with, perhaps, a Taos twist. The food is excellent. The presentation is excellent. The wait service is professional, friendly and personal. The environment is excellent. The experience is delightful! Paul Burke

The food here is the star of the show. The chef understands how flavors work together and everything is seasoned perfectly. The interior is simple and comfortable. We have enjoyed multiple meals here over the last few years and the service is always friendly and unpretentious plus we don't feel rushed to complete our meal. As long as this restaurant exists we'll be coming back.
Russell T — Google review
The bolognese was absolutely the worse meal I have ever had in a restaurant. Really, really bad. My husband ordered the salmon that had ni taste. Even the bread tasted and looked so stale. I complained about my meal and didn’t get any satisfaction. Our server, when she brought out the enormous bill said that the bill didn’t include her gratuity. One if the worse experiences I’ve ever had in any restaurant. We will NEVER come back here
Robin C — Google review
SERVICE DOGS NOT ALLOWED. Imagine driving up all the way from Santa Fe to dine and being told my service dog wasn’t allowed. My dog is calm and trained. My small dog was doing his job at my side. I was wearing business casual attire. To add insult to injury, the interior of the restaurant was empty on a Friday night. Thanks for humiliating me. I had been looking forward to the trout, especially since this would have been my first time back in Taos since my heart transplant. EPIC FAIL

Nestled in the lively town of Taos, The Alley Cantina is a charming culinary gem that attracts both locals and tourists. Housed in the oldest building in Taos, this cozy restaurant offers a delightful selection of New Mexican dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. From the perfectly spiced Green Chile Cheeseburger to the delectable onion rings accompanying the fish and chips, each dish is a culinary adventure waiting to be savored.
Went for Sunday dinner it had a waiting of 1 hour but we were called before that . Ambience is happening. They have some Mexican and American options of food. We had fish and chips, fried mushroom and enchiladas .. fried mushroom was super hot and juicy , fish and chips were good just that chips were super thin and enchiladas came with posole which we tried for first time and glad we did . It was awesome. Overall great dining experience.

Will return. The Adobe architecture, also known as the Pueblo Style has a few sections, with a pool table. Our tour manager took us there. It sure doesn’t disappoint. Casual atmosphere. The drinks are fresh, food portion is large and yummy.

Fun place for a late snack, staff seems friendly with the locals. They got live bands playing. Margaritas were delicious and nachos were served fresh and warm. The chicken cesar salad was outstanding. I was not very satisfied with the tacos though.
Cynthia A — Google review
We we nt for lunch on a recommendation, and we were both very disappointed. My wife got the red pork chili and there was not a single piece of pork in it. We love pork chili and this was by far the worst. I had the chili relleno plate with both red and green sauce. Bland is the best I can about the plate. We winter in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas ( that's where we are heading to) so we are used to good Mexican food. Unfortunately this place does not match up! The 14 dollar margarita was not that good either!
Darin C — Google review
Once my food came out (appetizer came out same time entree did) The waitress didn't check on me until i was ready for the check. The fries were way too crisp. I wasn't carded for my margarita. However the drink was the best part of my visit here. I might suggest maybe engaging in conversation more often with those who are dining alone.
Annaleigh K — Google review
New Mexico flavored dishes and a good vibe with pool table for those interested. A nice chilli 🌶 kick to the food made it even better. The Alley Cantina is considered to be located in the oldest building in Taos, with some of the structure dating to the 16th century.

Well, we didn’t go to eat! My husband and I were staying at the Sagebrush inn and suites which is awesome but the bar was kinda ehhh not a lot of mingling or younger people so I started looking night life & came across what looked to be awesome. We asked our waiter and he told us it would be a night we would not forget & he indeed did not lie!!! It’s my birthday weekend and I NEVER EVER go out and let me tell you!! The atmosphere at what I now will call “Alley Cats” is awesome! The live local band was amazing! The people were friendly and inviting! We had the best time! The bartender Willie made the best drinks and I unfortunately can’t remember the other one’s name 😬 but they were both very awesome!!! We will definitely not forget our time there!
Wendy C — Google review
Good food (the posolé, fresh grilled chicken, and pork tacos stood out); the service was excellent. Music was great classic country (Cash, Haggard, Kristofferson)! Atmosphere was perfect western Cantin vibe. Only issue was unfortunately that they had a fly issue the day we visited.

Taos Plaza is a charming public square and community focal point known for its craft shops, cafes, and laid-back vibe. It holds historical significance as the earliest residents of the Taos-Tiwa tribe have inhabited the valley for over a millennium. The Spanish settlers also left their mark in the area, particularly in the village of Ranchos de Taos with its San Francisco de Asis Church.
This plaza in Taos is a fantastic spot for shopping enthusiasts. It features charming art stores offering RC Gorman art, jewelry, and T-shirts. The traditional La Fonda hotel adds to the plaza’s allure, and the shop structures are adorably designed. You’re sure to find something to purchase here.
Anand — Google review
This is a fabulous location to walk around and explore. The buildings set against the blue sky is gorgeous. The feeling of the place is exotic and historical at once, and also sad. I won’t go into detail on the history but it is heavy to walk around and know how we treated some cultures and that that treatment continues through today.
Dale B — Google review
Taos Plaza is the center of the Taos Historic District where locals gather for live music and farmers markets and visitors stroll through shops and galleries, historic buildings and restaurants. A majority of the most important historic sites in Taos are easily reached on a short walking. Nearby Kit Carson Road, Bent Street, and Ledoux Street lead to even more historic homes, neighborhoods, and shopping areas. As browse through the shops keep an eye out for Taos-made products. For example, Native American moccasins made in Taos are famous throughout the world. Here everyone can appreciate hand-made clothing and leatherwork. The jewelry created in Taos satisfies every taste and pocketbook. It is possible find beautiful tin and wood items, pottery, ceramics, and much more. Just about anywhere you walk in the heart of Taos you will find yourself immersed in the history of this place and of the Southwest.

Beautiful small town city center. Perfectly encapsulates the beauty of Taos. Many souvenir shops, art shops and eateries. The La Fonda is a beautiful option to stay. The evenings are pleasant with multiple live events going on around the town. Not that much crowded even on the 4th of July weekend. You can feel the calmness of the place and its serenity.
Aniruddha C — Google review
Beautiful little town. Architectural wise, it’s the same like most other NM old town. The town is full of Indian jewelry. It’s like a tourist trap to lure them in to buy. Couple nice coffee shops and stands. It’s a good town to walk around if the weather is nice.
Tin N — Google review
Quaint old historic square where you could imagine people gathering and doing their shopping. Cute shops with lots to look at. Be sure to check out the old hotel on the square and walk past the square to check out galleries and museums,
Tyler D — Google review
I'd been to Taos many times in the 70s, 80s and once in 2006 -- always great. To see it in 2025 was truly sad. As many storefronts on the plaza are closed as are open. Few are even remotely interesting. T shirts and unimaginative goods. There were zero sidewalk or street vendors. It was Thursday late afternoon and at there were bands preparing to play for the evening in the Plaza; great, but no one cared, and we were so turned off by the void that we left. I asked a jewelry shop owner what had happened to Taos, and he said this was thanks to the municipal government. It was a complete bust for my family so we jumped in the car and went to dinner nearby.
Pete J — Google review
Happened upon this funky little shopping center when I happened upon Taos on a random road trip. Fun times and the car show that was occurring upon my arrival made it even more of an impressive backdrop! Quite the collection of ancient vehicles as you can see from pictures. Go here if you want that good ol' stereotypical southwestern shopping vibe for sure.

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Taos Pizza Out Back is a cozy adobe restaurant with a hippie feel and patio seating, offering eclectic pizzas with sesame-seed crusts. The menu captures the flavor of East Coast Italian American food from New York City, featuring items taken from specific restaurants. The salads are piled high with alfalfa sprouts, tomatoes, and cucumbers with a garlicky homemade dressing.
This pizza was delicious! My hubby and I ordered a slice each, huge! We both loved it! We sat on the patio under full shade with our two labs. Would definitely come back.
Heidi Z — Google review
Came in to Taos for work this week. And growing up coming to Taos I remember I would always want to stop here to get some pizza so today I decided to try it. Probably the worst experience I could probably name coming to Taos. I waited for almost an hour after I ordered my pizza and it was just a simple pizza half pepperoni half cheese. I’m not sure what was going on today, but I had to write it this low because I have high expectations for this place and it failed.
Ares S — Google review
Arrived at Taos pizza Out Back around 4:30 to get their before the dinner crowd. A very friendly server sat us down, got our drinks and order (2 cokes, 1 lg carnivore pizza, 1 pint pesto sauce) in within ten minutes! There were three other tables when we arrived who had not received their food yet and two tables that were on their way out. Near us a couple waited for over an hour and forty minutes to receive their salads. Their pasta came out layer cold and had to be reheated. By 6 pm our server let us know the kitchen had lost our food ticket and would be starting our order then which we understood. She came back out to let us know the new wait would be longer because more people had arrived by then. We asked for an estimated wait time as we live nearly 3 hours away. We did not get an estimated wait time and could not get confirmation that our order was even being made, so we decided to leave. The server was kind and offered to pay for our drink bill herself but we did not want to do that to her, it was her third day on the job. Management did not offer to cover our drink bill, and the cooks told my boyfriend that they just take orders as they come. The woman at the front who we assume was management (as she was not serving tables or cooking) charged us for our two Coke’s without any apology or even acknowledgment. We tipped the server directly for her kindness. We will not be going back sadly. This location was one of my favorites a little over 6 years ago when I lived in Taos.

The pizza is absolutely 5 stars. Friendly service. Had a great time here. Love the outdoor seating for my dog.
Lucious B — Google review
The place was pretty dead on a Wed. Ordered a pizza to go. Very undercooked crust. Ingredients just thrown on pizza so that some had a ton of ingredients, whole others slices had just cheese. One of the staff creepily asked me to smile.
M — Google review
Been here multiple times and I always leave with a smile. The outdoor seating area is cozy with cool decor. Their specialty pizzas always hit the spot with the combinations of flavors, and the salads are the perfect complement. Great wine and beer selection too. There’s truly something for everyone.

We sat ourselves as directed. No service after waiting 15 mins or so. So we went to the front desk, which seemed to annoy the lady in front bc there was supposed to be service at the table. The server took our order while there, but did not write it down. 20 -30 mins later, she brings two large slices of pizza, but my order was wrong it. She said it would be another 10 mins. 15 mins later, i find her and ask her to pack it to go. 10-15 mins later, my friend is finished and im still waiting, and very hungry. I ordered a dessert bc they are accessible. Ate it quickly. The key lime pie was good. I asked her to make my food to go. She reminds me we also ordered wings. What? Right! She could have given me the wings while I waited! I had forgotten. Another 10 mins or so, she brings my food in boxes and puts them on the table for me to pack and drops the check. I told the server as i was paying that i was very unhappy about the situation. The manager overheard, apologized, and discounted me the cost of a pizza slice. Appreciated. When I got home, I ate it cold at the hotel. And, meh. Very little sauce. Disappointing. Very.

Built our own pizza, excellent!. Love the crunchiness and taste of the crust. It's a dive but those places 90% of time are hidden gems. A must in Taos.

Discover the vibrant and lively atmosphere of Doc Martin's at the Historic Taos Inn, a historic home with brightly colored walls and live jazz music. Named after Dr. Thomas Paul "Doc" Martin, the county's first physician, this popular spot offers innovative regional cuisine and a hip vibe that attracts both locals and visitors. The restaurant prides itself on hospitality, reflecting the kindhearted nature of its namesake.
The place was old, walls thick with history, a charm that clung like damp air. Doc Martins hummed, alive, romantic in its weathered way. The server, her eyes green as cut jade, moved with a grace that stirred the blood. She was charming, upbeat, her smile a spark in the dim light. Service was sharp, clean, like a well-honed knife. The wild-caught salmon came, pink and firm, tasting of cold rivers and truth. It was remarkable, each bite a quiet victory. The room whispered of times past, of lovers and fighters, and it held us close. Five stars for the food, the woman, the walls. All of it true.

Tl;dr-Honestly, this is a great place to visit while in Taos. As long as you don't get our server. Also, make a reservation and don't roll the dice on a table. Highly recommended. So why 4*? Our particular server was just not great. She seemed to be actively trying not to work. You know when that changed? When it became apparent that my family of four was spending more than 50 / person. That's too sad. The tables adjacent to us had much better service than we did. They were constantly checking on their tables and getting their drinks. The drinks we got (by the time we got them) were watered down. We watched the bartender, who btw was amazing, pour them and then they sat for about 7 min while our server was nowhere to be found. We ordered soup/stew. She brought it to us without a spoon. After waiting 4 minutes I asked a bus boy for a spoon because she dropped it off and then she went AWOL. Look, as my wife said, maybe she had a bad day. Maybe her personal life is rough right now As a human being I'm sensitive to that. As a patron, I'm annoyed because I have to separate personal and business life. I do it out of necessity. Because I'm expected to i unfortunately expect others to also do it. Outside of our server, everything about this place was great. Would go back and just request a different server. I saw our neighbors experience and know it was better than ours

I had the opportunity to dine with you last night (Friday 4/25) and wanted to share some feedback from my experience. I ordered a glass of the Vivac Cab, the wine oxidized as if it had been open for a few days, the second glass I ordered was the Bonanza Cab which my server said she had to open fresh bottle and it was fine. The presentation on the appetizer was fantastic, unfortunately the flavor was less than expected. the Enchilada sauce had almost no flavor. I ordered the adovada plate, I mean I'm visiting New Mexico why not... this entire dish was a mis... the rice and beans had zero flavor... Adovada is supposed to be cooked in red chilis... the color of the meat was brown... no hint of chilis and was very salty. Definitely not a good representation. Service was ok, but I felt like my server spent all her time at her other tables and only stopped by if I gave her a look to swing by... also I'm pretty sure you should clear the entree plate before dropping the check.. I had to move the plate to sign my check. I was in Food & Beverage for 25years, your facility has charm and character... it would have been a home run if the food & bev stood up to the
Martin S — Google review
The trout appetizer was the only good thing here. The food was over an hour wait for dinner and subpar and over priced. The server seemed to forget about us and we had to go to the bartender to tell her to get our check. I would come back for the margaritas and appetizer only.

Very disappointing experience at the Taos Inn tonight. I stopped by on a long road trip hoping for a fresh and wholesome meal and I definitely came to the wrong place. My waiter was sweet, but the best thing I ordered was the blood orange cider. Of the trio of dips I ordered to start, the queso was the only one that was edible, (though without much flavor.) the salsa was too spicy for me and the guac was tangy in an unsavory way. The beet salad was mostly a pile of raw kale, with a few diced beets and goat cheese crumbles, some very large pieces of red onion, and a side of (probably store-bought) vinaigrette. The salmon was undercooked and served on a plate of very plain brown rice with a few carrots (the carrots were also edible.) I sent all of this back, and the manager came by to apologize and offer me something different. When I asked for anything vegetable-forward, he offered me "enchiladas with calabacitas," so I decided to have another cider and give them a second chance, but the enchilada plate that came was swimming in sauce and the zucchini were sparse. Doc Martin’s, at the Taos Inn, is just as quirky as Taos itself. The interior is not quite as upscale as a few other eateries in the area, but it’s set within the original adobe house and celebrates local flavors beyond traditional chile, including choke cherry and fresh trout. Service is good, and the food is fresh and tasty, albeit a bit overpriced.

For brunch we had the sampler with the blue pancakes which were great, and the huevos rancheros hit the spot.Service was great and chef stopped by to check how everything was. Being a historical site, can't beat the atmosphere.

I'm so glad I followed the advice of my friends and came here - yummy margaritas and food and GREAT service, the kind that makes you want to come back and when you do you'll feel welcomed . Thank you, Holly ! Now I know why my friends always come here - I want to come back when it's cold enough to light that fire in the lobby but when it's warm the outside is lovely

The Gorge Bar and Grill is a laid-back eatery that offers a wide range of American comfort dishes, along with an impressive selection of craft beers, fine wines, and premium tequila. The restaurant's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients adds a fresh twist to its casual dining experience. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of Taos Plaza from the second-story patio while indulging in generous portions of nachos or sipping on well-crafted drinks from the fully stocked bar.
My husband and I enjoyed an excellent meal here last night. The fish and chips, which my husband ordered, were probably the best we have ever had. I had the burger and it was cooked perfectly! Our server was amazing: attentive, quick and pleasant. We even got dessert to go, which we never do! This will definitely be a repeat spot for us when we come back to Taos.

As a long time customer I will not be returning. I ordered two items for take out, a Hamburger and Shrimp Alfredo. $53 dollars later I returned to work to find a hand full of "Shrimp Alfredo", just enough to satisfy a 10 year old, maybe. $28 dollars is excessive for the amount of food the in the Shrimp Alfredo plate. When I called the manager to understand the situation I was just given a huge story about tariffs. Tariffs have become a huge excuse to price gouge and give the customer less. I usually have decent service when dining in. It's unfortunate we could not come to an agreement so I will no longer support The Gorge Bar and Grill.

We were visiting and decided to stop in for an early dinner. I ordered the ribeye medium rare. What was brought to the table was a well done piece of meat that was 1/4" thick. We did not see our server from the ti.e we placed our order until she brought our check. To top it off my tea glass was empty for about half of that time. I definitely would not recommend a $30+ price tag on a "steak" of that quality.

Peach and grapefruit Margaritas were very good. Beer-enthusiast Boyfriend had Sunset Syndrome Hazy IPA for the 1st time and he thoroughly enjoyed it! Stew was excellent and club sandwich was amazing, huge portions. Very clean and nice bar and view. Very impressed!

This place was really awesome. They were really busy when we arrived with a party of 9. At first they said it was going to be about 35 minutes to seat us but they sat us really fast. Service was great and speedy. Food was good. The view was incredible. They say us out on the patio and it overlooked the town beautifully. Being here on a day trip I really enjoyed the opportunity to stare at this town for just a little longer while I ate.

We ordered the green chile chicken Alfredo anticipating the green chile to be New Mexico hatch (or some other New Mexico local green chile) much to my surprise the green chile were jalapenos! I asked the waiter about this and he stated they were not jalapenos. I am native New Mexican and I know the difference. Should have taken a photo because it was quite obvious these were jalapenos. Bread served with the dish was this side burnt. At least the beer was good no thanks to the Gorge.

We were looking for a place with outdoor seating, even in the rain today. Everywhere had their outdoor closed but not here! Their covered patio was breezy, and with it on the second floor, a gorgeous view of the plaza! They were absolutely friendly with my dog and best customer services in New Mexico! The food was delicious, and the chicken tacos were divine. My husband got the Taos on tap, and came out with the perfect amount of foam.

Nice quite place to come after the slopes. I had the horseshoe margarita- they don’t mess around with the tequila!! I also order the tequila lime tacos that really hit the spot! Very much like street tacos. The bartender was amazing and sweet, making sure I had everything I wanted.

The Burger Stand @ Taos Ale House is a popular spot in Taos, known for its gourmet burgers and hot dogs, as well as house-brewed craft beers. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a go-to place for locals to gather on game days. With large TVs showing the action, patrons can enjoy the lively ambiance while indulging in delicious food and drinks. The menu offers a variety of options, including beers from around the world and a selection of wines.
Stopped in while in town. We had a fantastic meal that was served quick. The onion rings are outstanding. Gotta try ‘em’! Burgers were great across the board! I would recommend this spot to anyone. We had our pups with us and sat outside on the patio.

EXCELLENT experience last night. BEST CHEESE CURDS my wife and I have ever had, and she's from Minnesota. The bacon jam they pair them with is delicious. They really put the SWEET in sweet potato fries as well, with a light coating of brown sugar. After tasting them I left dumbfounded why more restaurants don't do that. Beer selection is great with reasonable prices. Service was great as well. My only MINOR critiques would be the burger, which was a little dry, and that they need to offer small vs large sizing for the cheese curds. Can't wait to come back!

I am working in town and Decided to stop by the Burger Stand. Let me tell you this was one of the best decision I made since coming to Taos. The environment, the tunes, the food the beer and the bartenders were all on Point. I’m a 94 Baby and the vibes here perfectly fit. The music and the atmosphere was on point give yall a pat on the back cause this experience was amazing. I shall come back with more of my crew next time thank you Burger Stand.

Went here to see the baseball playoffs. It's a little bit of a dive. More a watering hole than an eatery. We plowed through it but not really our kind of hangout. The people were very nice and we did enjoy ourselves. We watched the game, had a couple of drinks and ordered cheese curds which were good. A 4.5 🌟 experience.
Roy A — Google review
I like this place but the food wasn't as good as I remember from a few years ago. The "hot" burger wasn't really that spicy in my opinion, nor was the spicy chicken sandwich. The wings were really good though. Nice beer selection as well.
Preston B — Google review
It has improved a lot from how it's been the last couple of years since it sold, but the food is still super slow to come out even with very few people there. The level of the food isn't what it used to be under the original ownership, but the fish and chips was decent with good cole slaw. The bartender was pretty cranky on taking the order, and kind of matches the vibe of a mostly-empty spot at noon on a Saturday.
Suchil C — Google review
We came to the ale house today for my mom’s birthday lunch. While waiting behind another family that was ordering a gal got in line behind my family and the waitress tended to her before my family, who is next in line to be served. Luckily the lady behind us said to the waitress “help them first because they were here first” When it was finally our turn to order the witness was checking her personal phone while taking my order. Not looking at me at all checking her texts while trying to hear my order. We were a party of 3, myself, my mom, and my 2 year old son. Two gentlemen walked in 5-10 minutes after we ordered and they got their food first. They got 2 burgers and fries. (This is important) my mom and I both order the fish and chips. Nothing for my son because they no longer offer hotshots. When I approached the serve about the gentleman getting their food before us, she said fried food takes long. Yet those gentlemen had fries with those burger. I was so upset I almost asked for a refund and left. But before I could she was walking over with the food. The ale house used to be an awesome place. Now the service is always terrible. The wait time should not as long as it is for there only being 4 tables. We were there on 7/23/25 between 2-2:30 should there be any camera footage to review and see the waitress on her phone and helping customers behind us. I will be sure to tell people how terrible this place is. Being a local I’m really disappointed. Hire better help or train this gal better. We will not be back and i would advise others to read reviews and take them seriously before wasting money at this place. The bathrooms are also disgusting. They smell like piss heavily.

In Taos for a couple days and decided to grab a bite to eat. We ordered ciders & salad & pizza. It was delicious. Glad we stopped in. Our server was a great guy too!

First time here. Ordered the quartz pizza, had flights of beer and house salad. Covered three people very well. We added green chiles to the pizza and it was awesome. Even took a crowler of the green chile beer home. The crowler lid wasn’t fully seated, so we had to drink it soon after. A wonderful place!

Love the beer selections and pizza. I recommend the “Smoky Quartz” and “Sausage “ pizza. They are not tomato based but both have unique sauces. The servers are super friendly too.

The beer, wood fired pizza, and service exceeded our expectations. We dropped in on a busy Saturday evening and had a great time watching multiple football games on tv and enjoying the vibes. The pizza was exceptional and we were so glad we stopped to visit while in Taos!

We went here on our first night in Taos for dinner. The pizza is really good and the house salad, full, we split was more than ample in size. We don’t drink beer, but love ciders. We didn’t find one we liked but they have them. We wound up with a nice bottle of rosé. Service was good. All in all very nice place. Notes: very dog friendly patio but very noisy as it’s on the corner of a super busy street. Inside was nice but we had our dog.

The Cesar and beet salad were ok, lacking a bit in flavor. The drinks were great, and the queso was good! They were understaffed and it took a while to get our drinks. Not disappointed!
Elizabeth M — Google review
The beers and food were fantastic. The pizza selections were really interesting and tasty. The music was really fun. This alone would merit the 5 star rating. Sadly I cannot give a sixth star for our server Jeffrey. When we asked him for recommendations he ran to his locker and grabbed a map that he gave us, circled different recommendations and wrote down some others. He took the time to do this during a very busy evening and made us feel very special!

The Adobe Bar, located at the historic Taos Inn, is an intimate watering hole offering eclectic live music and a small New Mexican menu. The bar is adorned with art, creating a vibrant atmosphere. As the sun sets, the adobe buildings glow like luminarias and locals gather at what they call 'The Living Room of Taos.' The bar features an indoor fountain and sunken kiva fireplace area where guests can enjoy after-dinner drinks while listening to live music every night.
We have never actually stayed in a room at the Inn..... However, The Adobe Bar is our go-to spot in Taos for authentic Taos atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food and great local entertainment. Great for "people watching".

This is our go to spot for good drinks and atmosphere. We had the trio(salsa, guacamole & cheese dip). They were all so good. The cheese dip reminds me of the one my mom made when I was a kid so it takes me back to a happy time. They have live music, I think every night.

Loved my blue tortilla chicken enchiladas & Happy Camper IPA. My husband had a Chile Rellano.
Joyce S — Google review
The drinks were great and were only surpassed by the atmosphere. The only thing that was a bit off-putting was the fact that they wanted to charge us to add a little salsa for our tortillas chips. We were paying $17 to $20 for margaritas, and we had several rounds. We asked the server to add a little sala for our chips, and she said there was a charge for that. You got to be kidding me... ridiculous! We won't be going back.

Fun place to get a drink in Taos. We went twice - the first to have a margarita to celebrate my birthday, the second to listen to a local band. Margaritas and chips and salsa were excellent. Local band was very good and it was a nice end to the evening.
Don D — Google review
If you enjoy good food or polite service, I wouldn’t recommend this place. 2 stars for the great surf rock / country / jazz vibes that the band put out on a Saturday night and the amazing southwestern vibes inside. It’s the only way this place got saved from a one star review. My friend and I both ordered burritos from the rude waitress. They were cold, small and tasted almost as good as Taco Bell. We asked for two checks and got one. I don’t really have anything good to say about the food or the service.

CUTE place! They were extremely accommodating when we (a small group with 12 children) walked in off the street on a busy holiday weekend. Their were so friendly, and helpful. I was surprised how good the nachos were. They even let us order from the restaurant kids menu and that food was great too! Had to try the cowboy buddah marg and it was delicious. The cozy atmosphere allowed us to meet and talk with other guests while the musicians played. Great location for walking the town.

Nestled in the lively town of Taos, Martyrs Steakhouse is a charming dining destination housed in a beautifully renovated adobe home. The restaurant offers an unforgettable experience with its focus on cocktails, steaks, and New Mexican-inspired cuisine. Guests can savor dishes like Pinon crusted trout with green chili goat cheese crema and perfectly cooked steaks that have received high praise from patrons.
Dropped in with no reservation on a Wednesday evening and was immediately seated at a window table. Was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu and reasonable prices (for Taos)! The lamb tacos were absolutely delicious along with a tasty warm spinach salad. They even had my favorite Spanish wine by the glass. I'll be back soon!
William E — Google review
Pretty darn good. I’d say most of the negative reviews are quite exaggerated or overcritical, probably picky folks with the wrong expectations. We called for a reservation two days before, and although the person on the phone was a little gruff and distracted, it was handled. We showed up 15 minutes before, and our reservation was honored with no issues and we were seated immediately. Our server was excellent - she was friendly, upbeat, and present the whole time, so no issues with any of those concerns. The food was great, we both had a filet, it was cooked pretty much on par - a few points off for my wife’s steak being a little more rare than asked - but not bad, otherwise no other issues. Sides were good, drinks were excellent, dessert was great. The place was pretty much at capacity but didn’t feel terribly cramped. Seating was still available outside but I think most folks were nervous about the dark clouds in the sky. For a steakhouse, prices were not bad. $39 for the 8oz filet, $3 for sauces and sides, reasonable drinks. All and all a good experience and would recommend. No, not the most amazing restaurant in the world - but for a steakhouse in a small town? Meets the mark completely.
Chris T — Google review
A friend of mine who has lived in Taos 15 years recommended Martyrs Steakhouse based upon over a dozen meals that he consumed in the last 4 years. My friend from Brooklyn and I were dazzled on every level: atmosphere, food, service, and overall ambiance. Our server was electric she was so quick and thoughtful. We both had a house favorite, fish and chips. Delightfully crispy and tasteful, complete with skinny fries and nice cole slaw. I had a nice glass of Argentinian wine and left totally satisfied. This is a beautiful place to enjoy the company of family or friends and it's a given that you will be a superstar with your guests for your choice of this venue.

The food was pretty good. The atmosphere is nice. However, I feel like we just got a server that wasn't having the best day because we were not told what the specials were for the day. Everyone around us got asked if it was a special occasion, but not us, and it was our anniversary. My husband did not get his drink when we first asked for it. We also just asked for bread and butter, and we were brought extras and charged for them. Overall, had the service been better, it would have been a great experience. But due to the subpar service, it wasn't great.
Christi H — Google review
Really good food. Lots of unique options. I had the spicy sesame tuna wrap. It was spicy, and it was delicious. The shoestring fried were also tasty! My reason for not giving more points was the wait to be seated, there was no one in front of us and there were plenty of tables, yet it took 10-15 minutes to seat us, a bit of wait on the food and a bit of wait again on the check. I recommend this place, but recommend not being in a hurry.

Everything we ate was delicious and well above expectations for a small town steakhouse. The steak was delicious, the trout was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the frites were actually frites, and the spinach side dish was spectacularly tasty. Nestled in the heart of Taos, The Lounge by Rolling Still Distillery is a vibrant tasting room that showcases the creativity and passion of its women-owned founders, Nicole Barady and Liza Barrett. This dynamic duo began their journey with vodka, crafting four unique infusions inspired by New Mexico's rich ingredients like lavender, pecan, and both roasted red and green chiles.
Sweet little spot to grab drinks. Lots of options for indoor and outdoor seating- we chose a nice table outside since the weather was warm. On our last night in Taos, we ventured out on a stormy night filled with lightning ⚡ strikes and downpours. Wifey was acting nervous and apprehensive as we sat in the car parked a half block away from The Lounge by Rolling Stills as sirens blurred and rain 🌧️. pouring down along with high winds. After about 20 minutes of waiting in the car it lightened up enough for us to literally run to The Lounge. To our surprise their were about 10 people there. Call us The Brave... Or crazies. Anyway we seated ourselves on an available couch. Nice and comfy and was immediately greeted by Tamara, our server for the evening. She was sweet and gracious and super attentive. After menu-ing we decided on a charcuterie board. Oh it was filled with all the goodies. The drinks came soon after. Old Fashioned Whiskey for me and wifey did the Moscow Mule and wine route. We had a great time chatting, and Tamara would come over and entertain us with stories related to things we were familiar with. They were also playing salsa music, most of the songs from my country of origin, Puerto Rico... The unofficial 51st of the USA. Citizens of this great country since 1917. Well it was a great night after all. Thank you Tamara for being such a great host. 5🌟 in any weather!

As a local, I frequent the bar as it is right down the street from where I live. Recently I went for happy hour. The bartender told me my 2 drinks were on happy hour prices. When I asked for the bill, another bartender took my Gold Card & presented me a bill for full price & said they no longer had happy hour prices. The original bartender did not know that but after a short conversation, apologized & the other bartender would not give me the discount price. I paid full price — double what it should have been. I’m a long time customer & he didn’t care when I said I would not be back. Note: on the web site, it still says they have happy hour. I learned that the long-time bar manager quit, as did my favorite bartender. Apparently there is a new GM. I will not be back. They simply don’t care that I’ve been coming there & their restaurant for anniversary & birthday dinners. No more. This place no longer wants locals— it’s only for tourists. Avoid it! Terrible customer service!!

Located in Taos, Antonio's The Taste of Mexico is a beloved spot known for its traditional Mexican cuisine. We had the chile relleno en nogada and pozole. Overall food was good but not stand out (to me). Service was amazing. It was my first time having chile relleno en nogada, so I can't properly rate it... but it was quite good. It was a heavy meal and I'd only recommend it if you appreciate meat with fruit and cinammony flavors, because that's what this dish mostly is. Sherry cream sauce was flavorful and the pomegranate seeds gave nice balance to everything. I liked it, but would not seek it out. But again, I am generally unfamiliar with this dish. Pozole was a huge portion and nice and warming. Waiter gave me lots of spicy sauce to add to my meal. He was lovely to all guests in the restaurant and had a lot of heart.

It was pricey but pretty good. Hubby got the mango enchilada that was featured on the Diners, drive-thru and dives show. I got the chicken fajitas and we each got a coke. It came to $70 with the 20% tip. I thought the chicken would be a little more flavored. Our local Mexican restaurant back home had more flavor. No complimentary chips or salsa. In fact, it was $10 if you wanted them too.

Absolutely incredible pozole! I found Antonio’s thanks to ChatGPT while road-tripping through Santa Fe, and it did not disappoint. This was easily one of the top 3 pozoles I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The red chile chicken version tasted unbelievably fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of rich flavor. The homemade tortillas were out of this world—thick, warm, and perfect for soaking up every drop. 20/10.

Stopped in for a late lunch, on the recommendation of our rafting guide. It was delicious! I had a special and my hubby had a burrito. Service was great!
Irene E — Google review
My husband and I discovered Antonio's on a recent trip to Taos. The owner, Antonio, said they had been in Taos for 23 years, but in other locations. All I can say is, where have you been all my life? Our food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely - intimate enough for date night, with jazz music in the background, but also friendly enough to make friends with the tables around you (which we did). Antonio and his wife were very present in the restaurant, and visited our table frequently to check in on us. I mentioned that I had been looking all over Taos for sopapillas because we can't find them in our part of the world. He said that as far as he knew, Antonio's is the only restaurant serving them at night. They were absolutely perfect - very large, with light crispy exterior and pillowy soft inside. Along with the requisite soft butter and honey, they were perfection and I already wish I could have them again. In fact, Antonio's was so good the first night that we went back again the next night and ordered the exact same things. Be aware that their hours are non-traditional as they are closed Friday-Saturday. They also have a policy for children to ensure a safe and relaxing evening for everyone. If your little ones are active, you may want to consider eating at one of the comfortable outside areas. We have visited Taos many times, and seem to struggle to find great restaurants. Either they are more fussy than we prefer, or we find a favorite only for it to be gone the next time we're in town. Crossing our fingers that Antonio's is here to stay!

Old Martina's Hall is a charming eatery located in a restored Pueblo Revival building, just across from the renowned San Francisco de Asis Church. This casual restaurant offers a New Mexican menu and features a bar and patio for guests to enjoy. The historic building was once a lively dance hall and now provides an intimate setting for diners. House favorites include the flavorful paella mariscos and the famous carne adovada burrito.
The three of us had a really special lunch here. See day by the fire, shared excellent food, and enjoyed the thoughtful and professional service. The ambiance was open, friendly, and upscale-Taos. Recommended! We'll be back.

Our last night in Taos and we ended it with an amazing meal at the Old Martina's Hall. The owner came over to thank us for dining with them on their last night as she voluntarily decided to shut down for the duration of the virus attack. This building is over two hundred years old and she did a beautiful job renovating it. When this crisis is over and the country is back to normal I highly recommend having dinner here!
Catherine T — Google review
Amazing food!! I recommend the hamburger and the enchiladas! Beautiful decoration and kind and excellent service! The best place to eat in Taos, I was surprised with the prices: low for the excellent quality of dishes.
Carlota S — Google review
Love this place! The service (lead by Shara) is impeccable, love the NM dishes with intriguing flavor you can’t find anywhere else. The large dance hall is perfect for an event, concert, grand dinner for any number of guests. Carlos & Shara handled our large event details with great care and made our evening flow with ease & grace. The newly restored historic building speaks for itself!

We had the short ribs, the fall off the bone ribs, and the burger. Food was good and the ambiance was really nice. Great staff and service!

Oh my, I can't believe I waited so long to try this place. A sign with Mahi-mahi caught my eye. I ordered the Mahi-mahi. While waiting, my wine came which was a crisp Savignon Bland. Next came the homemade cheese and herb bread, and yummy dark cornbread. My dinner was a stack of sweet potatoes hash, sauteed spinach and a large portion of grilled Mahi-mahi topped by wonderful fruit salsa. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive my whole time there. I also had a view of the St. Francis Assisi Church. Doesn't get better than that!

Attractive restaurant friendly staff. We shared a burrito with was very good. Definitely recommend

Beautiful restored building, and a great chef who serves a prix fixe menu Monday through Thursday, plus a full menu. Service varies, And some servers are much more attentive than others. Some servers don't work well with dietary restrictions, but when pressed they work with you. The chef is happy to accommodate .We chose to dine there for our anniversary. Had a great experience.

Nestled within the charming Sagebrush Inn & Suites, the Sagebrush Grill & Cantina is a delightful haven for food lovers and music enthusiasts alike. With its inviting ambiance, you can unwind by a crackling fire in the lounge or soak up the fresh air on the patio. The menu, crafted by Executive Chef Timothy Wooldridge, showcases local flavors with dishes like mouthwatering enchiladas and unforgettable nachos sourced from New Mexico's finest farmers.
We had a fantastic experience at Sagebrush Grill and Cantina in Taos, NM! The informal, relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a family outing. We started with the buffalo wings, which were deliciously spicy and perfectly cooked. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and it hit the spot just right. Our 7-year-old birthday boy, Anthony, absolutely loved his slider – it was the perfect size for him and made his day special. The friendly staff and cozy ambiance added to the wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend Sagebrush Grill and Cantina for a great meal in Taos!
Paul L — Google review
Great open space in the cantina to have some drinks and eats. The nachos are HUGE and the local beer selection was solid. The live music from a band with great range made for a fun atmosphere in an old west setting. The patio outside has a great view of the mountain just behind the pueblo, perfect for sunset.
Kevin F — Google review
First time coming here... atmosphere was top notch with ambiance. Loved the live music! It is a holiday weekend so I always give grace to busy servers. However people that came in after us were served first. I had to go to the bar and get my own drink. My server was reluctant to give me her name. She said call her Banana Pepper Star. Ugh Hopefully it was a bad day for her. You never know what is going on with someone in their personal life. Food was on point! So delicious
Holly H — Google review
I have no idea why this establishment has only a 3.9. It almost deterred us from going there. We are so glad we ignored the 3.9 rating! It was perfect! We each enjoyed an amazing meal and I basked in a delicious glass of Bordeaux. We loved the atmosphere and the ambiance. I'd give more stars if I could.
Jennifer — Google review
Food taste was good but not prepared as asked. I had salad with steak added. Meat not cook as requested and refrigerator cold. My husband's rice and mixed veggie were the same. I just don't see the best grill. But I can say.....beer was good.
Pamela O — Google review
Food bad, service bad, staff completely indifferent to mistakes. Staff basically ignored us unless we flagged them down, even being the only people in the place the staff couldn't be bothered to check on the table. First the waiter argues about diet coke v. regular coke with my 9 year old when she asks about the off flavor. Then she gets overcooked, old pasta, which she had asked for plain but they added cheese to. And when I say that, it was like the pasta that you don't get out of the pan and is hard and brown. Point it out to staff and they ask if she wants new pasta and when she says there was also cheese the waiter says "ya it comes with cheese". I mean it doesn't when you make plain pasta. Then the cook keeps giving us dirty looks after sending it back and sends under cooked pasta and the waiter comes back saying "plain pasta with nothing, better?" I could comment on the rest of the food and experience, but extrapolate that to a soggy appetizer and two adult entrees as well. Would never eat here again, terrible experience.
Justin N — Google review
We're guests of the hotel. Food and service was good at dinner, but the breakfast waitress was extremely rude with a nasty attitude. We got up and left before we ordered our food. No need to start off with your customers with a nasty attitude.

Our favorite spot in Taos! Live music every night with really amazing bands going on after 8pm. Bar gets crowded at night. Love that they serve local wine from vivac. Drink and food prices are reasonable. We loved all the food we had...salsa, burger and fries, chicken enchiladas, and the chile rellenos are our favorite. Katie behind the bar is awesome! Lots of locals, great vibes, and dancing.

Great sipping chocolates - we tried the arabica, French Vanilla. I didn’t care for the Maya but they swapped me with an Aztec and that hit the spot. Also tried the whiskey chocolate torte which was good. And we really enjoyed the chocolate ice cream with a bit of the Aztec sipping chocolate spooned over top…

I got an affogato with mousse instead of ice cream. I absolutely loved it! My friends got a vegan chocolate cake and mousse. All of them were Delicious!

What a special gem just off the Taos plaza! We bought several bars that we loved, but most of all the mousse bar was our favorite! We came back every day of our visit to get a new flavor. The servings are small, but they are so rich and flavorful, you're more than satisfied. Just delicious.

Oh my! Organic bean to bar chocolate heaven! The French chocolate mousse bar? Whipped perfection. Cakes on offer were hard to decide on… We landed on the vegan olive oil cake yet the sourdough chocolate cake with espresso buttercream looked divine. Paired with an excellent espresso. Best dessert in a long time.

it’s a sports bar, so no place to escape the oppressive television screens. we came for the well reviewed fish and chips. they were well crafted and prepared, but the fish was not well sourced at all. it was absolutely flavorless, the low quality of which, as chefs ourselves, my brother and i are accustomed to from sysco. conventional beer, thus nothing acceptable to drink. the waitress was excellent. this place is perfect for sports fans . but for ourselves, there is no reason whatsoever to return.

Finally tried this restaurant we did take out and do have a ways home so understand it wasn't still hot but that being said was still warm and good. My husband had the chicken fried steak. I had a philly and besides the bread being a bit burnt it was good. We enjoyed the side salad and pickle fries! The regular fries are not for us! Can't wait to try more on the menu and dine in! 😊

Food was good. We had the sliders. Hot dog. Pram fries and kid bean burrito We couldn’t have a beer for some reason the day we came but food made up for it The fries were alittle too greasy for me but my kid and husband liked them The service was great! Our waitress was so nice and quick!

I love this place. Best food of it's kind in Taos. Ingredients are super fresh and everything is always cooked perfectly. I have brought all my friends for lunch and dinner here. This place is a gem! We stumbled upon it after visiting some museums and galleries, and it was lovely! Some locals joined in a Celtic music jam and it was so much fun to eat, drink delicious wine and enjoy meeting new people and listening to great music!

Had a nice time listening to good music (2 guys on guitars) and sipping a great bottle (from Spain) of wine. Those in charge were willing and able to accommodate our needs to ensure we were well served. Finished off the night with a charcuterie board which was a little pricey but good! All in all, the place to be on a Saturday night 😊 5🌟

I went out to a solo dinner last night. Alexander was my server. The service and food were on point. I had the charred Ceasar salad with shrimp with Malbec. The wine suggestion paired well. Presentation was beautiful. The food was fresh, delicious, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere. I love that they have a TV dedicated to mesmerizing nature/sea life, not just sports, for us neurodivergent types. The Chef made himself very accessible to guests. The chocolate creme brulé was AMAZING. Highly recommend!

And found out it is no longer the "espresso bar" after 12. But to my surprise they have beers, wine, and some really good food. The service is just as accommodating and the atmosphere is the absolute same, with a touch of "oh I came here for coffee, but I guess ill get a beer!" New spot. New vibe, check it out! Love it! Vibe with it! You name it!

Stopped for a coffee and dessert on a Sunday afternoon. The service was stellar! The proprietor was courteous and very helpful. The coffee was just right. Mine was an iced Americano with cream. If you’re all right, waiting two hours to have breakfast or if after 25 minutes somebody grumpily tells you you know it’s gonna be 20 or 30 minutes before we can get your food. Do you still wanna order or being told that you’re a liar because you set yourself, even if you didn’t or being told you don’t know how to restaurant runs your idea of a good time by all means enjoy Sol Café. Considering this is the second time within a year, I’ve walked in this place been ignored. Waited long time and didn’t get served. I’m guessing this is Norm. And talking with others seems to be true and not just a personal thing. The food actually decent pretty good, but the service is incredibly harsh. I don’t eat out other peoples restaurants to be treated as if I should be honored. Frankly, no one should feel that way In a small community like Taos it really isn’t necessary since there are many very good restaurants with very good service. Who would love to serve you breakfast lunch and dinner what’s up attitude being the main course let alone a side dish. It’s been more than a week since this happened, I didn’t want to post right away, you and other others such as the owner shouldn’t know. I hope they will improve.
