We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good! Local dishes but a bit more refined. Very nice service

All good, nice portions, local and seasonal ingredients. Very nice selection of whiskey and other schnapps! We didn't drink them but surely it's not common. Dessert was great!

Just reviewing the restaurant. This is my favourite restaurant to visit in the Black Forest and it is the service that really makes it for me. The waitstaff is professional and attentive and always have a fitting recommendation from the wine menu. The atmosphere is charming and cozy and the food is always very tasty.
Charlie B — Google review
We went for a lovely diner at Restaurant Peterle. They provided a menu that is translated to English which is very nice. They offer daily menus as well. The food is very delicious and they offer a lot of explanation with the dishes. We are coming again!
Imani D — Google review
Delicious food, great service and in a beautiful location. Would definitely recommend.

What a beautiful hotel inside and out, stunning location amidst the Black Forest but only 5 mins walk from the local train station with regular free (with the guestcard they provide free at check in) trains all around the region. The family who own it and their staff are all really lovely and kind. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the food in the restaurant for dinner and the included breakfast is fantastic! I only stayed one night but wished I was staying longer, highly recommended winter (there is skiing in the village) or summer, a lovely place indeed!
Simon H — Google review
We dropped into the restaurant after a long, hot day of traveling, feeling a bit disheveled. We were welcomed courteously and shown our table right away. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful with menu suggestions. The menu was interesting, inspired by local, fresh ingredients and some innovative flavours, such as a homemade pine-tip limonade. I had fish, and my companions had a trio of beef (shoulder, liver and sweetbreads), a pasta with chanterelles, tomatoes and herbs, and locally raised chicken with summer vegetables. All of us were very happy with our meals. The wine list included many interesting wines, it was difficult to choose! We can definitely recommend the restaurant, and if the staff at the hotel is as friendly and helpful, it must be a lovely place to stay.

Siner Zit by Feldberger Hof is a cozy restaurant that offers a variety of Italian dishes in a relaxed setting with traditional decor. Located just off the ski area, it's popular among skiers taking a break for lunch. Despite being busy, the staff provides excellent service. The menu features delicious and fresh food at reasonable prices, making it suitable for families with children. The restaurant also offers inside and outside dining areas as well as a play area for kids.
Recommend, delicious and fresh food, good service. Suitable for children. Love the place. I don't have any photos of the pizzas, the being so tasty were eaten fast(-;
Aviv S — Google review
It is a typical German wintersport restaurant. The menu was pretty extensive with choices from pizza's, pasta's and multiple meat and fish dishes. The service was very smooth and quick and the food arrived within 10 minutes. I went for a Pinza with mozzarella and champignons, which came served on the exact same base as my friend's Margherita Pizza. The Pinza was too rich for me. The exensive ammount of cheese made it greasy and the dish was quit bland apart from the cheese. The ski-hut music created a fun and cozy atmosphere and the location is perfect right on the bottom of the ski-piste.
Lotte C — Google review
Didn't feel a very polite teamwork. The prices are higher than other restaurants closer to the ski station. Felt like they wanted to serve me as soon as possible, because didn't ask me about my preferences regarding the side dish... Had to go after the waitress in order to get what I wanted. I recommend the Black Forest cake.
Erick L — Google review
Very good food, but 1 liter of tap water 10€ is unacceptable. In Holland tap water is free: great sign of civilization.

It was a relaxing experience after a nice hike! Food’s amazing and the staff is very friendly 😃 Definitely a must visit after the Feldsee hike.

Decent food at mountain prices. Pretty slow service on a quiet day, but friendly staff nonetheless.

Nice place. We had lunch at the place in a rainy day, looking for something quick to have on our way back home. Service is ok, a little slow, and prices are fare.

The food was disappointing, the burger was not good and not that cooked. No service in English. And it took a long time for the waitresses to come.

The location near Feldsee makes it a popular excursion spot where visitors can enjoy delicious food and drinks in a warm atmosphere.
I made a stop here on a cold rainy day while cycling to Oberried. The staff is very friendly, you can pay by card and perhaps the best part is... they serve kaiserschmarrn. They have a great terrace, but it is also very cozy inside. Highly recommended! (I can't judge the rooms, I haven't seen them)

Jesse S — Google review
Stopped of for coffee and cake during a cold wet mountain bike tour. Great place to warm up and relax before getting back on the saddle. Good food, self service, reasonable prices.
Brian O — Google review
We oddly bumped into their self-service day. No one was supervising nobody for the payment. Every customer paid according to a price list and took the corresponding food/beverage. Very impressive self-discipline based system, which won't work everywhere. The cakes were good enough after some hiking plus various choices of drinks. Not the best price value Cafe on a hiking root, but still decent enough.
Cecilia V — Google review
Simple but quality food. Have self service kiosk with cold meats, soup, cakes, snacks and chilled drinks. Beautiful location on edge of wood looking at cows in meadow, with table outside. Very popular with hikers and cyclists (cannot drive here if do not have key to barrier).

Located very close to an amazing lake and is a great spot for a feed after a hike. The food is good, nothing to write home about but good. I do however thing the food is over priced but that comes with the touristy location I guess.

The large terrace provides a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the best that the region has to offer. The attentive and friendly service ensures a pleasant dining experience, while the extensive menu caters to various preferences. Guests can also explore the on-site shop for local products.
I had the best dining experience in Germany at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, from the main dishes to the desserts – everything was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Service was fast, with no long waiting times and the staff, especially our waitress, was extremely friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean, spacious and kids-friendly. I also loved the location – not too far from the tourist spots, but just far enough to avoid the crowds. It felt calm and relaxing, exactly what you need while on vacation. Overall, this restaurant has everything: great food, excellent service, and a perfect atmosphere. Truly the best I’ve tried in Germany, highly recommended!
Camelia P — Google review
Overpriced and slow. Read the menu card and the potato dish sounded delicious, what was served made us laugh. How can two potatoes be a dish and cost 10,50€ and even in Germany where food is relatively cheaper. The service was in the slow side but the staff was friendly. Oh well, you live and learn where not to go again.
Martin K — Google review
Easy reservation by phone. Restaurant rather modern and functional, but there are plenty regional and nature elements added for a warmer vibe. The menu is local but varied (kids-friendly options included), the dishes are truly tasty (deserts too) and are correct in size and price. The service is excellent. Parking lot with high-power charger is a plus.

Nice place to eat for reasonable price. Good wine card and strange, but delicious coctails, big food portions. We really enjoyed food and stuff- Nicole was amazing!! Definitely need to go

This place was so good we had to go back a second time. Some of the most delicious food we’ve eaten all trip! Service was faultless and decor and atmosphere were first-rate.

Excellent schnitzel, salads, fries, and black forest cake. Surprised by the great flavors!
Patricia M — Google review
The restaurant is located in a newly built or renovated wood house, clean modern and gorgeous. The lunch menu was great and the portion was moderate, not too big. The waitress and waiters were very friendly. And the washrooms are modern and clean. The restaurant is also children friendly. They put a colouring book and colouring pencils on our table. My kid also got gummy bears. 😂 We'll check out the place next time when we come to Feldberg.

My review is for the restaurant part so please be so kind not to relate to the hotel part. As tourists we went there at 8 pm and wanted to have dinner but we were kindly rejected due to closed kitchen. While we were on our way out, the person on the reception asked how can he help, we mentioned our frustration that the closing hour is at 10pm but we are rejected at 8 pm,. The "being" in the reception told us to read the information correct and check the website. He dictated to check the website and understand what we read. Totally rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and unacceptable, Once again, this maybe off-season for this location so I try to be reasonable but attitude is totally unacceptable.
Koray P — Google review
This hotel is run by the kindest and most understanding people I have ever met.
Tamás H — Google review
Comfortable and quiet room. Lovely breakfast in the morning, and an impressive dinner. Some of the best gnocchi I have ever had with a bright fresh herb sauce. The dessert was exceptional with fresh strawberries, basil ice cream that I wish I could take home with me, and light-as-air vanilla crème. Everyone was so kind, professional, and welcoming as well.
Christine N — Google review
Exceptional experience well beyond our expectations. Service was fantastic, didn’t expect a Michelin level dining experience within the hotel’s restaurant and was given suite #10 which felt like it was renovated last week (in a good day), clean and functional. Was only there for one night but would highly recommend. Big props to our fantastic concierge/manager who made us feel welcome and really made our stay special. Upper class experience throughout in a cosy and warm setting, A+!
Francois N — Google review
Finally a very good meal in the Region. Booked through Michelin (like other nights at other places) and we were not disappointed. Excellent aspargus, salad, local game dishes and local deserts. So great food by the family chef. Very good and personable service. If there was one disappointment it was the wine list which had many items, but overall not a great selection of quality wines.

Schwarzwaldhaus is a charming chalet-style restaurant that offers a cozy Bavarian atmosphere and specializes in delicious schnitzel and homemade cakes. The food at this establishment is exceptional, with standout dishes like the Schnitzel topped with mushroom sauce and delectable salads. The tomato soup is also highly praised as one of the best around. Although not inexpensive, Schwarzwaldhaus is a top choice for those seeking a memorable dining experience in the region.
We were just passing to eat at the restaurant. Kitchen closed at 8pm. Waitress Spoke English and had a lovely dry sense of humour. Schnitzel and Steak, chips, potatoes, salad was lovely. Recommended.

We came here by chance, because we were not able to order food for our allergic family members at another location close by. The waitress was extremely friendly and happily took all our special wishes. The food was delicious. The sauces were extremely well cooked also. Everything must be freshly prepared to order! I will add the restaurant into my favorites and will definately recommend it to my friends! Will come back next time when visiting Black Forest! Thank you! Had a great stay!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful Italian dining experience, look no further than Da Rocco. This charming restaurant offers an impressive array of dishes that are rich in flavor and generously portioned, making it perfect for families. Guests rave about the delicious pizza and pasta options, with highlights including a mouthwatering gorgonzola pizza and perfectly cooked shrimp pasta. The cozy ambiance is complemented by friendly staff who ensure quick service, creating an inviting atmosphere for all diners.
Da Rocco is an excellent Italian restaurant with a wide variety of dishes, all bursting with flavor. The portions are huge and delicious, and the prices are very fair. You can choose to sit inside or enjoy the pleasant outdoor seating. Highly recommended!

Great pizza and pasta, but don’t build on the service. We took for a start one margarita, but after 5 minutes we had to order another one - the kids eat everything. I took the pizza with gorgonzola, loved it. One the kids took a pasta with shrimp - well done, the sauce was very good
Chen S — Google review
We've visited this wonderful restaurant twice, and each time was a pure delight. It has a warm, homey feel that makes you feel right at home. The dishes are not only large and satisfying but also incredibly flavorful and affordable. The staff is always friendly and serves with a genuine smile. We'll definitely be back!
Liat S — Google review
I recently dined at Da Rocco, hoping for an enjoyable Italian meal, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The service was incredibly slow and inattentive. It took ages for a waiter to even acknowledge our presence, and when they finally did, their attitude was unprofessional and dismissive. As for the food, it was extremely disappointing. The pasta was overcooked and bland, lacking any authentic Italian flavor. The pizza was soggy and greasy, with a mediocre crust and sparse toppings. Overall, the meal was a complete letdown and not worth the price. I had high hopes for Da Rocco, but the poor service and lackluster food have ensured I won't be returning. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

My friend and I visited the restaurant at lunchtime today. I was surprised at how delicious my Minestrone soup and then my Anamaria pizza tasted! The pizza was prepared how I asked for - no burned edges, and it was really juicy and so yummy! My friend realy enjoyed his food too. Our server also asked us twice during the meal if we were enjoying the food. This is so unusual and I welcomed her sincere interest in our enjoying our meal. I highly recommend the experience.

Hotel Waldeck is a relaxed lodging option in Feldberg, offering free Wi-Fi and a breakfast buffet. The hotel is situated in a rural location, just a short drive from Lake Schluchsee and Lake Titisee. Guests can enjoy upscale Mediterranean dining at the on-site restaurant, Florians. The hotel also features amenities such as ski storage, tour/ticket assistance, and beautiful views from the terrace and garden.
Our room was excellent, however we were 4 people, and the sofa bed was of average comfort. Everything else about the room was excellent. The service in general was excellent and friendly. The proprietor, Stephanie, went above and beyond making us comfortable. The dinner meals we had in the restaurant were interesting, tasty, very sufficient, very well presented. Again, the service was friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet was extensive and of high quality. I highly recommend this establishment.

A very nice hotel. Staff/Owners are very friendly & speak english. I recommend eating in rhe restaurant (make a reservation in the morning) the food is delicious! We stayed 4 nights to ski nearby and are glad we stayed here 😀

What a great stay! Such a lovely hotel, great location and such nice hosts! They really make you feel welcome and just like a part of the family. Everything about my stay was absolutely perfect. The hotel is incredibly clean, great views, close to everything (hiking, cycling, the nearby village and towns to explore). Florian's restaurant was absolutely outstanding - Florian definitely cares about the food he cooks and it shows in presentation and taste. I can see why people come from all over just to eat here. Of course the breakfasts were outstanding as well. Coming from North America, German breakfasts are simply a different class. Suffice it to say, you won't be leaving hungry. I have absolutely nothing bad I can say about the stay. Honestly one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I've had anywhere, in an amazing part of Germany, with impeccable German hospitality and food. I'm 100% staying here again.
Samuel K — Google review
During our 1 week stay, we had twice dinner here and a couple of times breakfast, although we were not staying at the hotel. The food is really good, you can see that cooking is done with passion and with a nice twist to surprise! Although we could not ski because of weather conditions, we had something to look forward! I recommend this place truly, you will love it! Please try the duck and the beef😉
Andreea M — Google review
Definitely worth the visit! Super stylish interior, very friendly staff and great food! They show much love for the details like all the necessities for women in the bathroom, hand lotion, deodorant, hair spray and hygiene products. They even sell the cool Black Forest decoration they have throughout the restaurant and they are open for whatever wish you might have - even in terms of the table decoration for an anniversary or similar - very caring, THANK YOU!!! AND finally a restaurant with a menu that has close to as many vegetarian main dishes as the meat ones - perfect! Additionally I never had such a good affogato for dessert like there: that was probably the biggest portion of bourbon vanilla ice cream I ever saw, yummie!

The menu includes delicious options such as rosti, Flammkuchen, salads, steaks, and flatbread with cheese on top. The food is well-priced and the beer selection is commendable.
It’s so quiet place, near a train station , the salad with the beef and the steak was very good, the young kids said that the kinda pizza was ok, since they thought that it’s a pizza but it was a flat bread with cheese on the top mascarpone . It’s like a home made place kitchen

Very cozy and delicious food for a fair price. Portions are good and atmosphere is very nice. Can recommend to anyone visiting the region!

The best Flammkuchen in the region. I have tried Flammkuchen at different places in Schwarzwald as well as Freiburg but here they serve the best. We had tried a few other dishes as well and everything was delicious. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the location has a super beautiful mountain view!! And of course beer is amazing in this area! Highly recommended

Hotel
The Feldberger Hof is an all-inclusive resort that offers vibrant rooms and apartments. It provides a variety of amenities such as kids' activities, a spa, and dining options. After a challenging two-year period due to the pandemic, this short holiday served as a much-needed break without the hassle of cooking. The buffet offered excellent food quality and choices, although the alternative 4-course dinner menu was not preferred. The availability of freetime activities for children within the hotel varied week by week.
The experience was amazing! It's a fun place to have fun with friends and family, hike, ski, sled, snowboard, eat, have a few drinks, and enjoy yourself. There are also places to stay over the night. The bus stop and train station is nearby. Also accessible by car. It is worth a visit in summer as well as the Winter.
Yamini K — Google review
Stayed here 3 days alone with 4 y/o. Would like to go back again if traveling alone and for a short time. Positives: Very friendly and kind staff. Warm swimming pool. Facilities generally good and cute interior, perfect for kids. Lots of activities for kids in and outside of the hotel. Reasonably priced if staying as one adult. Two adults would double the price and would be too expensive for the low quality food… Negatives: food was quite bad…survived for 3 days but would not stay longer. Similar quality or worse than Migros restaurant in CH. Was not a big issue bur took quite lots of time getting inside and out of garage. There is no sensor to scan car number plate nor the door did not automatically open. You have to press a button to call the reception to open the gate to go in and pull down a chain hanging from ceiling to open the garage to get out. Note for next time: was very hot in Junior-Suite, facing south-west in September and had to remove all our clothes at night when the highest temperature was only 24.

Fantastic location at one of the highest mountains in Germany. Family friendly to the max. There was literally nothing that was not available or could have made the stay better. Highly recommended for families with kids of any age.

We spent 6 days at the hotel. Had a good time with the kids. Has all the necessary amenities. Across the road from the ski slopes and school.

Fantastic family hotel in beautiful location. Very clean! Ultimate child friendly, especially with the Fundorena next door. Food is tasty with a lot of options for kids. Only small complaint is the children’s pool area. It is completely enclosed and has no air flow, making it very humid and uncomfortable.
Leanne M — Google review
So lovely and wonderful stay! The hotel has a wonderful location, close to the ski center. One of the cleanest hotels i have ever stayed. Very kind and helpful staff. Nice activities for children, kids especially loved the daycare. And no need to mention how wonderful the nature of Schwarzwald is! Definitely suggested!
G K — Google review
The overall facilities are very good and kids friendly although the hotel feels a bit ancient. The services are excellent. We love the fundora and the indoor swimming most. And the buffet is amazing. The location is not very convenient for us, since it takes around 3 hours drive with few highways. In general, it is perfect for a long vacation with little ones. I will recommend it to my friends.
Joy F — Google review
Perfect place for vacation with kids. We were there at end of June, so it was getting real hot some days, but otherwise very pleasant visit. Great facilities, all inclusive option was really appreciated, because we didn't need to spend a dime more as we booked. Hotel has everything for kids and we as parents had no issues as well. Very friendly stuff. I have only few complains: - missing air conditioning. Even though hotel is 1300 above sea level, summer is getting hot there as well and without air con it can be really tiring. - small elevators. Almost every family moves around with strollers and hotel's elevators are not ready for it. They are too small and too few (just 2 actually) - high chairs. There was always a hunt for high chairs. I always found one, but sometimes had to go around whole restaurant to get one. Would be me maybe good to have one place to get them and teach guests to return them after eating.

St. Wilhelmer Hütte is one of the charming alpine inns in the area, offering a cozy atmosphere and regional specialties. Situated at 1423 meters above sea level, it boasts stunning views and is known for its good food. Visitors have praised the hospitality of the owner and the spirit of warmth they experienced after seeking shelter from a storm. The hut offers tasty dishes including soup and homemade Black Forest cake, making it a perfect stop for hikers.
I went there with a few friends for an afternoon. It was during winter. The atmosphere was just like a winter wonderland. We only ate desserts and had some coffee. It was tasty and warm.

Amazing lunch during a hike day. I took the käsespaetzle which were very tasty and the cheese was delicious and not too heavy. Also the spätzle were nicely shaped and not overcooked. I also tried the Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte which was gigantic but good.
Vicky G — Google review
Delicious typical German food (which is hard to find), with very friendly and happy welcoming service at the perfect spot in between, before or after a good hike! I recommend the Käsespätzle, that one was a true gem, as well as the Kirschwälder Cake. The vegan Flammkuchen was great in taste, with freshly added ingredients, but not comparable to the taste of the Spätzle. It's still a solid good vegan option. Prices are also pretty good, specially considering the big portions. Do recommend!

One star is even too much. We rang to ask if it was open and to reserve a table, I was driving, so my wife (that speaks only English) tried with "Do you speak English?". She got a straight "no" and the phone was put down immediately. I then stopped the car and tried to ring again, but the lady didn't even pick up the phone. We end up eating at the neighbour "Berggasthof & Pension to Todtnauer Cottage" that welcomed us in a very different way.

The restaurant Seebuck-Hütte offers an impressive variety of delectable flavors, with the Currywurst being a standout dish that comes highly recommended. The establishment also boasts breathtaking views, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. However, it is perplexing to encounter numerous restaurants in the area that still do not accept card payments. Despite this setback, Seebuck-Hütte provides a pleasant and inviting ambiance, offering a wide range of meal options to suit different preferences.
I've been to this place many times, and the experience is consistently good. sit outside and enjoy the sun with some mulled wine or in summer with a cold beer or crisp white. if you feel hungry there is a good selection of black forest favourites all prepared with love and tasty, local ingredients. the friendly staff will make you feel comfortable and at home in no time. located right at the bottom of the piste and between two lifts, this place is ideal to get a quick lunch when skiing. in summer it is en route of the main hiking trail.

We stopped here for coffee and toilet, first we were told it's closed. After a few minutes a board with open was put up. We went in for coffee and bought two coffee for 7€. One of us used the toilet and later one more went to use the toilet so restaurant people started saying loudly that they paid 7€ and used the toilet 7 times! This was repeated atleast thrice. Wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you're not a German even if you speak German.
CHIRANTH H — Google review
Friendly reception by staff found us a table quickly. We ordered a roesti and cordon blue with a salad. We had to wait 45 minutes for the food to arrive. When it arrived it was made without love or an eye for detail. The cordon blue was burned. Yes I know we are in the black forest but does that need to transfer to the cordon blue? The meat was cooked bry and the filling was without taste. The bread crumb cooking without seasoning and soggy. The side salad was scratching on the barely fit for consumption level. The other dish the roesti did not have any flavouring either just greasy cheese with mushrooms (yes fresh ones) and flavourless tomatoes. Not a nice browning of the potatoes and soggy.. Simply terrible staff was shouting at each other in the kitchen. Word fights in front of the guests. Other folks were waiting for an hour for their food... The paying process I had to ask 4 times to pay the bill and walk inside. Staff was not wearing any masks not sure if this is required in the COVID situation in Germany.... The setting is nice and this fooled us to go there. IF you go for the drinks and stay away from the food. You have been warned!! Very disappointing indeed as we were looking forward to a nice rustic lunch. I had the feeling they were not in control of the restaurant around 5 people worked there and everything was sow and stressful even some of the cakes were not covered and as this is a country side setting flies are present. This establishment needs help cooking and shown by a professional how to run a good restaurant with nice german/swiss cooking. There are soo many places aroubd go there instead

(Translated by Google) Today, June 14, 2022, was a difficult day. Summery weather, 24 degrees Celsius, a total of 16 guests in the beer garden, and the service staff were a bit untrained. After half an hour, we were able to place our orders. Unfortunately, most of the cakes were sold out, so we had to eat alternatives. The food arrived before the drinks, which were unfortunately incorrect twice 🤣. Please avoid such mistakes during peak season and with fussy guests... Despite everything, 4 stars because our service was very friendly and still learning the ropes. All beginnings are difficult... The food was tasty, and we still felt comfortable.
