Small hotel and restaurant run by super friendly staff in a very beautiful village below the famous Château. The room was clean and spacious but quite loud until well after midnight so don't expect to sleep early. Instead, you can pay the restaurant a visit which is situated directly below the rooms, therefore the noise. It's likely quieter when the restaurant isn't open to the public, i.e. during the week. The restaurant is closed Wednesdays. When it comes to food, we got a fantastic breakfast, highly recommended! A great selection of charcuterie, cheese, bread, cakes, jam and cereals, there's definitely something for every taste. Dinner however was a bit disappointing. Flammekuech was ok but the duck breast (magret du canard) was pretty tough, even though you wouldn't guess this from the photo. Calf's head (it really is a calf's head baked into bread) needed a bit more salt. Portions are truly enormous. We're good eaters but couldn't finish everything and skipped dessert altogether. Obviously, the wines are directly from the surrounding wineries and very tasty. With a bit less quantity and a bit more quality, it would have been a perfect traditional Elsass dinner.

Really impressed with the food here. We thought it was such a sweet place that we stayed the night. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern with good water pressure and hot water. Staff was accommodating and lent us some playing cards and gave us some ice to take to the room when we asked. Nice little patio to sit on where my husband could have his cigarette break.

Long wait to get our meals but they were pretty good, pork hock was superb but the tart flambé was undercooked and chewy in the middle.

Nice venue in a nice small village. We arrived on a Saturday without a booking. The condescending manager talked to me in an abrupt way and like I was stupid as if we should know better. To note we were passing by the village and stopped for lunch. We only thought to check the place. Then he realised that he is gone too far. He said you can wait 15-20 mins which we agreed to as one table is on dessert now. Here's the deal with Auberge Saint Martin - they do a very nice tarte flambee and this ridiculous dessert where they pack ice cream into a merengue bowl and cover it with whipped cream and I strongly recommend both of those items. We had a group of 6 on a busy day and were served cheerily and efficiently.

They have a very utilitarian wine list with lots of classics, but nothing amazing—but then again, with simple home-made food, that’s all you need. The service was very rushed yet efficient. It’s also got plenty of clean toilets and showers. There are coffee dispensers which offer various flavour and specialty coffees. Outside, plenty of parking space and grass lawns to rest. There are loads of storks to look at.

We had a lovely lunch at the outside terrace, the crew was very friendly and the chef spoke English and took the time to explain some nice food facts 👌🏻

This is a very good find! They were open for lunch November 11. The food is amazing! The blood sausage was perfect! Pinot noir is highly recommended
