In a country of wine this is a legit beer bar. Several beers on tap they weren't the same few you find all over France. Including one that was a true IPA brewed right in France. Many other craft beer selections available in bottle as well. Then usual French Bar snacks available. Staff I encountered was accommodating and forgiving of my very limited French. Recommend to beer geeks passing through Versallils!

Love love love this place! I came here after spending the afternoon in Versailles. We grabbed a table outside and had some beer and a platter of meats and cheeses. The beer was good and the platter was absolutely amazing and a good amount of food! It was fun to people-watch during rush hour from the outdoor tables too. It surprisingly didn't seem very touristy despite being so close to the palace.

Looking for craft beer we found this pub and it was a hit! Walking into the pub, Valhalla by Blind Guardian was playing. This was a divine sign!! Good beers accompanied by fríes and other tasty things to eat. Very kind and friendly staff who put us on Blind Guardian during our stay. Thanks for that!! Essential and Must place if you like beer and go to Versailles.🤘🍻

Small and cozy bar with a wide variety of beer. The most outstanding thing was the service, we arrived and we have a heavy song that after a while they removed and then they put that group back on and they didn't remove it the whole time we were there, THANK YOU, my husband enjoyed it and I went out with a few glasses of more... I would repeat without hesitation... 🤪🎉🤩

Our recent dining experience, based on a pre-arranged set menu, showcased satisfactory food quality. The French fries were particularly well-prepared, exhibiting a desirable balance of crispness and texture. The fish and sausage dishes were acceptable. Service was adequate, and the restaurant accommodated a sizable number of patrons. The establishment's central location proved convenient.

We were able to walk in for lunch without a reservation but it was late after 13:30. We were seated on the patio which was lovely except for wasps. The food came out really quickly. I had the Onion Soup and it was great. My family had fish and chips and it was good. The bar inside is really beautiful. It was a nice relaxing lunch to break up our walk to the Trianon estates.

It's a perfectly located restaurant in the garden of versailles by the lake. What more do you want? Amazing French restaurant offering interesting meals at a reasonable price. The waiters seemed so hectic and was a bit hard to watch and also hard to get their attention but when we do, they are amazing. Loved every minute here.

Excellent place for a delicious lunch near Versailles! Staff is friendly and service is quick. It can get extremely busy at lunch, so I recommend arriving earlier than 1 pm to secure a table if you don't have a reservation. There are tables inside and outside near the lake. Highly recommend sitting outside when weather permits!

A fab place to fuel up / unwind between visiting the different areas of the Versailles Palaces and grounds. The staff were lovely and the service super quick. Would recommend the onion soup and Croque Monsieur for the genuine French foodie experience!

A great place to eat when visiting Versailles Palace. Beware that it is about a 15-20 minute walk from the Palace through the gardens. The food was excellent. The service was a little slow but this didn’t affect our enjoyment. The converted barn is charming with many of the original features. An expensive but satisfying experience.

I love it. We spent the whole day in Versailles so food option within the palace grounds is the best for us. Chose this place. It’s a bit more expensive but the food is spot on! The limoncello was also very delicious. It’s not overly sweet, it’s just right. I would recommend this place for lunch in Versailles.

We visited today since lunch was included with our passport et dejeuner ticket at Versailles. We had such a lovely meal! Our meal included an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert, as well as coffee or tea. We decided to add on a bottle of wine as well. I didn’t expect much from a restaurant at Versailles but we were soooo pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was beautiful. The presentation of the food was the best we’ve seen so far in Paris and not only did the food look amazing but it was also delicious. Service was wonderful, the best we’ve had in Paris area so far! Roxane was our waitress and she was amazing! She was so kind, attentive, and her work ethic was top notch and even though there were a lot of people dining she made sure everyone’s experience was great. The rest of the staff was also very sweet, willing to take our picture and greeting us and saying good bye. We had such a great experience. Merci beaucoup!

I highly recommend making a reservation at this beautiful restaurant inside of the gardens at Versailles. The pasta with mushrooms and truffles was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for discussing our day at the palace. The restaurant was full by 12:45 PM.

We had a wonderful time and we would absolutely visit and eat here again! The service was very professional. Give lots of time to get to the restaurant. The grounds are very large.

TLDR: If you have ~ 1.5 hrs to kill come here sip on a sprits eat good food and enjoy the calm cool atmosphere of this place. A beautiful hidden patio on the grounds of the palace. The food was above average but the wait was far below. We visited towards the tail end of the lunch service, just before 2 pm (14:00hr) , we waited ~30 min in line and another 15 before our order was placed. Was it worth the wait? Given the limited options around I guess so. For what it’s worth I did lick my bowl clean of its sauce. The truffle cream pasta did not disappoint and is a big recommendation!

This was part of the tickets for the palace. However, getting to this place by foot requires a bit of effort. Could use a few more signs for the foreign visitors like us. Though the ground staff were very helpful. They were plenty around and ready to assist. We were given a set meal option but were able to upgrade with just a few Euros. We opted for the orange apple ginger juice, the fish with bacon and fresh peas, and chicken with cabbage white sauce. I wasn't expecting something great, but the dishes were superb even though the service was a bit slow. The juice was refreshing. The ricotta and asparagus soup were delicious. Fish was perfectly cooked, flaky, and moist. Perfect with the crispy bacon with the peas. The chicken was seasoned well and tender.

Incredible service and cocktails. I am continually amazed at how sweet and accommodating everyone in Versailles has been to my lack of French speaking ability and this establishment is a great example of that. Had my first Singapore Sling here and I'm hoping the ones to follow are as good! I love this place. Great job staff!

If you are lucky and get a place downstairs - nice I am sure. We were sent upstairs to an unheated room, service not available and after 30 minutes without anyone wanting to take our drink order we had to leave.

I quite enjoy drinks here, especially during happy hour. Place is a bit small and can be quite crowded but if I'm in a cocktail mood, this where I go in Versailles. I'd day their white Russian is weird, and with such a big menu, I think it's logical there are items you won't like. I still recommend it.

Great atmospheric pub, just across from the palace of Versailles. Even though there was a rugby union match on the TV they kindly put a ramp out for my wheelchair to enter (and exit) and put the premier league football on after the rugby. Great friendly service. Will definitely visit again.

Good old style Irish pub with typical interiour close to the Versailes entry. Good choice of beers and great service.

This is a superb bar with an outstanding manager. We went to this bar to watch my team. The owner had a technical glitch and was worried I would be disappointed so he offered to drive us around Versailles to find the match. He then bought us drinks as an apology! The technical glitch was fixed and we had a great night with good Guinness and a proper pub atmosphere in sleepy northern France. Rugby is a must in this bar.

Try to serve the beer which is not full glass. Require the bartender to fill it up, turns out to speak weird in French. 👎

The Versailles Castle is a beautiful building with stunning views but if you only have a little time in Paris this is not a must see. The inside has some stunning rooms with beautiful furniture and paintings. The view of the garden from the second floor is exceptional. The gardens and lakes are a really good choice if you’re visiting with your family. The only downside of the palace are the giant crowds in the rooms and by the toilets, so you have to be patient. The tickets were about 60€ for adults and 0€ for children (Attention! The garden is not free for children, it’s 10€)

Versailles is such an amazing place to visit. We her comfortable shoes as there is a lot to see we loved seeing the gorgeous interior of Versailles and actually ate at the restaurant for breakfast so we can get skip your line tickets, which were definitely worth it. Then visiting the gardens was beautiful too definitely recommend taking the little train out to the petit Trion and Gran Trion and the little village with all the animals or you can always rent golf carts.

We went to see Palace of Versailles as a group. The place is beautiful. The gardens are equally impressive and massive; renting a golf. We rented a golf cart, it was well worth the money to explore comfortably. We made reservations in advance, we waited around 20–30 minutes to get inside. Everything was impressive. The negative part is the crown inside. But once in the garden it was so much better.

This was one of the most impressive places I have seen with my own eyes! I have a landscape engineering degree and the palace gardens were often referred to in books, by teachers and were always a source of inspiration. I’m really glad I got to see them in real life. My partner proposed on a boat on the canal, it was all very romantic (I said yes!). The palace interior and expositions were also quite impressive, I was in awe the whole time.

It’s a beautiful place. Don’t have enough words to describe it. So instead j will provide some tips. Order your tickets online. They form two big lines for the 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 etc and another for the 9, 10, 11. Show up 1/2 hour earlier and they will still let you in. Be ready to pay for audio guide(€9) and a cart-train ride(€8) to the lake at the end of the gardens. From were you will have to pay another €5 to take you to the homes of the king. Or rent a golf cart for 4 passengers for €40/ hr. Bring a water bottle and snacks . Or be ready to walk a lot. They also have a couple of restaurants near the lake if you prefer. Be ready to walk a lot and spend at least 5 hours inside the palace.

Crowded. Some of the Madames quarters were closed off. However, the history is magnificent. We did not have time for the gardens so that was disappointing. If you are a history buff, you will love it. It was beautiful, but the parts we actually gotta see were not that much considering such a huge complex. However, it's worth it if yiu have time to fit it in. My expectations were higher than what we actually saw.

Obviously, Versailles is an amazing monument to the human pursuit of beauty and conspicuous consumption. This needs no further comment. I knocked a point because Versailles fails a bit as a museum. I have no issues with the signs being mostly in French (it is easy to translate them with a smart phone), but there weren’t enough informational signs in general. Often the signs were about the art on the walls, which while interesting, were not what I came to Versailles to see. I think to really get a good idea of how the actual palace was used and how that evolved over the years, you either need to go to the gift shop first and buy a guide book or pay to have a guided tour with a tour company. The audio guide may have given me the information I wanted, but the apps audio tours were also a touch disappointing, so I wouldn’t count on that. ON THE OTHER HAND, the gardens were worth the trip. Gorgeous. Beautiful. No notes. And here the audio on the app told me the sorts of things I wanted to know about the construction and design. The gardens were also less crowded once you stepped off the main thoroughfare. I highly, highly recommend seeing the gardens.

The tartar was good but a bit salty, the shrimp avocado was served with browning avocado & smallest shrimp that I ever saw. The egg appetizer was the best. The cod dish was pretty good, the pork was a bit dry/tough with good sauce, chicken was good especially the mushroom. The dipping sauce/dots are a bit salty. I am glad we ordered 3 meals for 2 of us; otherwise, would have gone home hungry. The desserts were excellent. Price was fair for a Michelin rated restaurant.

The best lunch we had in Versailles! This restaurant truly deserves its Michelin Guide recognition. The menu is simple, clear, and thoughtfully curated. I highly recommend the veal, cod fish, and white asparagus—all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. For dessert, the apple and orange sorbet is a refreshing and elegant finish. An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Prior reservations will be necessary.

The food is worthy of its Michelin star. Complex cooking in the kitchen before coming to the table transforms into simple, heart warming dishes. Nothing pretentious and yet full of flavours and textures. Had opted for a 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Each and every dish was a show stopper. In particular was the cod with saffron emulsion (no photograph available) was a novel and bold dish with the subtle flavours combined together that played out very well on the palette. So was the chicken with mushrooms dish (picture attached), details of which I forget, but the taste of which still lingers on. And not only the food, even the wines were excellent. Worth the trip from Paris. And if you are in Versailles, then a must visit.

It was difficult to get a reservation to this place but it was definitely worth the wait! Located in a busy pedestrian street, it doesn't look like much from the facade but once you step inside, it's simple yet chic, not pretentious. The staff speak English so that helps. The presentation was impeccable and the food was delicious. Especially the dessert... to die for!! We had the 3 course (starter, main, dessert). It doesn't sound like much but it is enough and filling. We had the white asparagus and the salmon for starters. The cod and pollack for main. And the rhubarb and Paris-Brest for dessert. The sauces in the mains were light and yet full of flavour. Truly delicious and for sure worth the money. Will definitely come back in 2 months when they change the menu.

I went during lunch and I was greatly surprised by their menu of 5 sequences. Every dish was perfect and the quality and mix of flavors is something I never experienced before. Their cod, salsify (first time I tried it) and curry might be one of the best dishes I’ve had in my life (and I have been at Michelin restos in other cities, so I know what I am talking about). I also loved the camembert dessert. From the welcoming to the end, the service was excellent and promptly. The wine pairing was perfect and I tried a particular wine from the region. I was fascinated for the attention to detail, but overall, for the quality of food. Although it is among the “Bib Gourmand” Michelin guide, definitely it has the quality to become a Michelin star. The lunch menu is affordable considering the 5 dishes (60 euros) + petite bouche and definitely would come back again. 😋🌎🍽️✈️ Sabor Kairos

Oh my goodness! This market is a dream for anyone. Whether you are a tourist, a chef, or anyone just passing by, the market is crazy to visit. They have many shops selling meats, cheeses, vegetables, desserts, and fish. The indoor stalls are arranged around a ring of buildings, so it's easy to walk around. I, especially, thought the dessert shop was mouthwatering. It's a shame I didn't get a chance to try the desserts. Next time...

First stop before you go to The Palace of Versailles. Get some cheese, bread, dip, fruit and wines for picnic in the garden or by the lakes. Wonderful experience.

Had fresh yummy crepes here in the inside shops. Fresh ingredients from other stores, like smoked salmon.... Stall owner does not speak English but has English menu for ordering. Friendly and recommended to try it.

Stopped by the bar for a beer after visiting the palace. The staff was very nice and the atmosphere was great. I'm not sure going to the bathroom after a few drinks is recommended. The spiral staircase to the top floor would be a bit of a challenge. Lol. The outside seating and watching people go by, great.

Sat outside eating our vegan sorbet from across the street. They were very kind and sold our group a couple of beers and let us use the WC.

Ok, it has a strange name, but I have a real liking for this bar. Some nice beers and decent bar snacks/ small meals. The tartinables (spreads in pots served with bread) are lovely. Also some good cheeses or sausage that you can have with your beer or wine.

Excellent place to stop and get a beer, or two! The terrace is a little small, but it has some good seating upstairs with windows. Thibaut is a great bartender and he even helped me with my French. Thanks again!

Great experience, despite our very poor French, the bartender was kind, helpful and spoke very good English. We had two good beers and a nice Bordeaux. Great music, nice stop after a long day of walking.

Me and my partner went for a snack and 2 drinks each. Big portions at a good price, the wine is very good and interesting. Personally, I really liked the music. It made my birthday better.

Tiny, cosy bar with good wine, beer and a variety of food (like raclette, plates of cheese, plates of mixed salami pickles ajd cheese..). Happy hours prices are affordable! There's also Coffee, tea and Cappuccino. A free arcade for everyone!

I recently visited Le Montbauron with friends and had an excellent experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out. The tables are always clean, and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. They offer a nice variety of beers and other drinks, catering to different tastes. Although the prices are a bit on the higher range, they are definitely worth it for the quality and ambiance. I highly recommend Le Montbauron for a fun and enjoyable time with friends.

Really neat bar smack in the middle of Versailles. Bartender was super friendly and spoke great English, which is always a plus for someone who is still learning French. He even offered to heat up my infant niece's bottle! Beers were cold and delicious. This was my first visit but surely won't be the last.

Looks like a cozy place to meet friends and spend time. We had drinks outside, but we also visited premises and saw gaming tables of different kind. Staff was friendly and service was great.

Besides having pool tables, there are plenty of tables to sit with friends and have a bite You can grab burgers, kabobs and French hot dogs. Not my favorite but they are still nice. Beer selection doesn't feel as nice as other places but the combination makes it better for my taste. Staff is polite and helpful. They can handle some English too. Will get crowded during sports events so choose your time to hang out wisely :)

This cozy place exceeded all our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was top-notch, rich and aromatic, clearly made with care. What truly made our visit special was the amazing service. The staff especially Audry were incredibly friendly and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Even though they didn’t have to, they kindly offered us a special deal that made our visit even more enjoyable and memorable. It’s rare to find that level of genuine hospitality these days. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, fantastic coffee, and service that makes you feel like a valued guest. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Delicious breakfast. Unusually the poached eggs were served cold (tasted good despite this). The waitress was very helpful (once she had warmed up).

Really nice place. From just walking past I had no idea there was upstairs seating. Upstairs is super cute with a warm, cozy vibe. The staff were very nice and accommodating (my french is terrible). The Italian croque was delicious (I love pesto) and the fruity, oil and vinegar dressing on the salad was very delightful. The latte art was cute too! I highly recommend this place to sit and have a chat with some coffee or a nice, light meal.

Very kind service and good food. I'd like to thank Audrey in particular (hope I remembered the name correctly) for pointing out an option to purchase a brunch menu after we finished our meal, which saved us a decent amount of money (the point being she did not have to do that and would actually have less work if she did not). We did not leave a tip because we happened to be short on change but we will happily return next time. Thanks once again!

They serve a good gin smash basil which is my favorite drink. Its hard to find it on the cocktail menu in paris. I am regular customer there. I like their outside terrace on a sunny day . Their indoor area on a chilly day. I never tried their food . It gets crowded. U need to order at the bar which is annoying because of the queue sometimes

Stopped for lunch after the palace tour. Had a pizza which we really enjoyed and the Pub Cafe atmosphere is just great. If the service could just get close to the food it would be great. Nice view out the window and enjoyed some different beers we hadn't seen.

Atmosphere is great, good spot to watch people pass by and the harmony of the city. Service was not great - we asked for bread and it didn’t arrive, I had to go to the bar to get it myself. Yet there was no butter. When I asked for butter , I got two packs dropped on my table with no knife to spread the butter with. I had the Pina colada and it was good.

I’ve stopped here a few times and every time it’s the same. The food is ok, prices are good for the food you get. Service sucks especially sitting outside. For a pub in a tourist area I waited 20 min before actually walking inside and placing my order. Bringing me food was also the last time I saw a waiter outside. Not worth the effort.

Just arrived in Versailles, My wife and I were really hungry after having travelled for 10 hours. Ordered food in this restaurant and it was disgusting and disappointing. It took a long time to get served I order half a roast chicken a sparrow leg came out that was rock hard with some very tired lettice. It had probably been on a hot plate all day. I got the impression they do not like British tourists. I looked over to the next table probably locals and their food looked lovely to a standard. I refused to pay for the meal.

We wanted a break from the Versailles show, so we trekked back down into town for lunch at this pub. It has extensive outdoor seating, but we decided to eat inside to avoid smokers. It had the wood decor typical of pubs. We were well looked after. Two of us shared pizzas - the goats cheese was the favorite while the vegetarian lacked toppings. The other in our party had a hamburger, which he really enjoyed. The Montbazillac white wine was very good & my partner had the Leffe beer. It was a very good, casual choice.

Lack of cleanliness, good was mediocre - do not order their burger; crusty bread, tasteless meat, worst fries I had this whole trip. Asked for waters and they did not bring them. Toilet (just one) was a struggle, paperless towel (broken, dirty and drenched). Honestly, keep walking and save your money. Shake my head. 😪

Very cozy wine bar, with a nice selection of wines. On the menu, each wine is accompanied by a description (flowery/fruity notes etc.). They also have a variety of cheese/charcuterie boards and tapas. We tried the foie gras and the pâté de pintade, both of them were very good. The waiter was helpful and welcoming.

We were heading down south and decided to stop for a break, found this lovely wine bar/restaurant. The cheese board was delicious as was my glass of red wine. Staff were so helpful, we came away with a box of red. Highly recommend if you fancy a chilled evening in a pretty part of town.

Just Great! If you want to eat very very good French products and wine this is the place. And the owner is very nice. He can prepare something just for you. We had a very great time!

Now that's an interesting wine shop chain that i didn't know. It specializes in "wine in a box", or cubis, but which is very high quality, selected from the best wine yards. Definitely worth a visit for wine lovers that want to samples amazing wines that don't really age. The place in Versailles is lovely and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Note that you will need to order some food to have a drink, but luckily the small sharer plates are high quality cheese and charcuterie as well. So give it a try !

Romantic little nook for a glass of wine after a visit to Versailles. We had a couple of glasses of lovely organic champagne to celebrate our engagement. The staff were friendly and pleased to serve.

It was the first time i try this pub. The gin basil smash was made of basil syrup , it was okay but full of ice . The cafe allongé was served cold . The cappucino was good. They have limited choice of desserts . Next time i ll stick to a draft beer or glass of wine. Staff is friendly. Cafe troittoir is nice to enjoy over a sunny day . Cheers .

We went to enjoy a good beer. The interior was full, so we booked a table outside. The waiter said he would come. After 30 minutes of waiting, I came inside and ordered a beer personally. He sent me away with the thought that he would come. After another 30 minutes we left the bar. It doesn't make sense to wait an hour for a beer. By far one of the nicest bars I've ever been to. My family came in here on a whim, trying to escape a warm day and the crowds near Versailles, and were welcomed by a super charming seating area and the kidnest staff. The wait staff guided us through picking some drinks, nailing each persons specific drink requirements with ease, and matching food items. We were the only patrons, so it was quiet. However, one of the staff members sung for us, and they played music, so it felt like a quiet café. The staff and owner told us they had only been open for 2 days! I can't suggest making a stop here enough!

We spent a wonderful evening at this recently opened Versailles music bar. Came here after Versailles summer evening fireworks and it was just perfect. The tapas were great as well as the service by the young lady which also started to sing great hit songs. I would recommend!
