Paolo Griffa al Caffè Nazionale is a charming and elegant café located in Aosta. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the desserts are described as amazing with rich flavors. The chef personally greets guests and recommends delightful treats. Visitors praise the cappuccino, croissants, and aperol spritz served at the café. The service is attentive even during busy times, and the old building adds to its appeal.
We recently dined at Paolo Griffa ristorante and were absolutely delighted. The menu, based on local ingredients and featuring exquisite combinations with mountain flowers, was both innovative and delicious. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and full of unique flavors. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We also appreciated the impressive wine selection, which perfectly complemented the meal. Paolo Griffa is a must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience that celebrates local cuisine with a floral twist.

Great place to enjoy the piazza and the surrounding. Great cafe with beautifully made pastries. Some of the pastries are just art! Staffs are nice and professional too. We went there for food but ended up trying only their pastries which were really good experience.
Alireza J — Google review
An unexpected gem in the centre of Aosta. We were on a drive in the area and decided to have a pit stop in Aosta and came across this cafe with wonderful pastries. It seems to be connected to a Michelin star restaurant and the quality of the pastries definitely reflected that. The outdoor but warm seating area was a wonderful place to sit down and enjoy a tea with some cakes, we were so impressed that we decided to take some pastries home for the next morning.
Hugo W — Google review
We came in the morning and there was no food, only pastries and coffee. We had a croissant and a Mont Blanc tartlet, as well as well as coffee and hot chocolate. All was delicious and at a very fair price. People watching and the grand piazza provide wonderful atmosphere and views. Recommended
Amit O — Google review
Having seen the advertised speciality coffee the previous night we decided to come here to have breakfast and coffee. What a terrible decision. The coffee is not at all speciality coffee, actually the coffee that we had in a little village (that was not a "specialty coffee") was so much better. This experience ruined my morning, I had to give a negative review for this. Barista had also no idea about coffee beans or things like this.
Bee — Google review
Most delicious tasting menu with chef who clearly takes pride and care in every dish he prepares. It was an honor to enjoy Chef Paolo's amazing food.
Kim S — Google review
The most delicious croissant and pain au chocolat I have ever had. Super nice staff, very professional. This is a must visit in Aosta!
Maria C — Google review
The desserts looked amazing and had so much flavor! It was very much worth the money. It was a very cool experience being here and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The bathrooms were very clean, too. The chef happened to be out and cordially greeted us, recommending us one of his favorite desserts and it was absolutely splendid! I definitely recommend this place, especially if you are touring!

Nestled at the start of the pedestrian street in the heart of town, Saint Vout is a charming bistro that embodies versatility. This delightful spot serves as a cafe, cheese shop, wine bar, and bistro all rolled into one. Guests can indulge in an array of thoughtfully sourced dishes throughout the day—from fresh pastries and aromatic coffee for breakfast to local specialties like raclette and fondue during lunch or snack time.
We arrived after the lunch service was over. We asked for some fondue and the chef was about to leave the restaurant but she kindly offered to quickly make us a fondue before leaving. It was so kind and even the servers knowledge on the local products was impressive. Thank you for the amazing service.

Lovely traitional english pub. Located close to the city centre of Aosta, but also easy to reach by car due to the proximity to a big parking lot. Tons of different beers are offered and also a big amount of Alcohol is available. Early in the evening they even offer sandwiches. Nice live music during the week end. Usually very crowded

Lovely english style pub in aosta, very nice beer with a wide range of choices, which is unusual for a bar in aosta. lovely nibbles and a friendly atmosphere. The owner is extremely friendly and rightly proud of the beer he serves. The erdinger is particularly nice, but we also had a pint of the beamish, which was tasty.

Excellent place. Wide and eclectic selection of music-themed artisanal beer. Accompanying burgers were divine. Great atmosphere and service. Highly recommended!

Beautiful setting in a small square over looking the Roman ruins and the mountain as the back drop. Beer was unbelievable with lots to try and rate. All 10/10 for me. Menu and food was varied with staple pastas which were delicious- try the hybrid - carbonara meets amatriciana - 10/10. The burgers were a hit with the other tables so check them out as well. Booking online was super easy and worth doing. Gutted to not have long in the city to try other things on the menu. Great for summer or ski trips.

"I had a craft beer and pasta lunch at 63, which had a great atmosphere and location. However, I was a bit unsure about the cover charge per head as it seemed to take away from the overall experience for me. On the positive side, the pasta was delicious and enjoyable. 🤔👍🍺 Overall, it was a good experience with some feedback for improvement."

Welcoming staff, a large selection of beers and amazing food. Highly recommend the Pulled pork burger and the Apollo Creed burger....you will not be disappointed. Visited twice, within days if each other, and had these both times

Amazing food 😋 had a mouth orgasm with the beef tataki, loved all the beers and really enjoyed the burger! Definitely recommend!
BeWeird ! — Google review
I really wanted to finish our Aosta experience on a high note. TL;DR - staff does not pay attention to customers with empty beer glasses for almost half an hour. We arrived reasonably full already, however, there was still room for a burger and a couple of beers. The menu is a qr code, that leads to a website that is supposedly in several languages. None of the translations work, it is always in italian and there are no photos of the dishes. Google translate also refused to translate the site for some reason. So we ordered beers and I started copypasting the dishes in the google translate manually, to see what was available. The beers came quickly. As we were drinking them, we had made our minds and chosen a burger and some dish the couple nex to us were having (could not find it in the menu, so was going to ask the waiter). However, no one came. I tried making eye contact and waving, but no avail. Tables around us were getting lots of attention, some more, some less. We sat there with wmpty glasses for more than 20 minutes, until we changed our minds. I went to the bar, we paid and left. Which is a shame, as the food looked and smelled amazing. I have never ever before spent 20 minutes with an empty glass in a bar! Maybe that is normal in Italy, don't know - but normally almost as soon as the glass is empty, someone gets the glass and asks whether to get another one. On the plus side, the beer and chees were good.

We were hosting a party of 50 (somewhere else)that had been arranged for 7 months, and aprox 1 month before the date of the party the restaurant said they could not accommodate us, we contacted Ad Forum and they were more than happy to work with us. Christian was very very responsive and worked with us in determining a menu and wine selection. When we arrived, the table was set beautifully and wait staff was ready for us. The food was over the top. Christian was very respectful and asked us when we wanted each course to arrive. We did not feel rushed and everyone had an exceptional time.

Nestled near Sant'Anselmo's house, Enoteca La Vineria is a charming wine bar and shop that invites you to indulge in the best of local flavors. With its cozy courtyard, it serves an array of delightful snacks alongside a carefully curated selection of wines throughout the day. Great place for lunch. Fresh, local foods. Wonderful selection of wines. Gluten free options, just inquire with the staff. In the back there is a beautiful covered seating area with lots of plants and natural light. The front has a selection of oils and special products from the area. I would definitely come here again! Claudia&Paul — Google review
If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Aosta, La Vineria is an absolute must-visit. This cozy wine bar offers one of the most thoughtfully curated selections of wine I’ve seen in the region. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or simply curious to explore, the variety here spans elegant local Valle d’Aosta vintages to exceptional bottles from renowned Italian regions and beyond. The staff are not only knowledgeable, but also genuinely passionate about what they serve—they take the time to listen to your preferences and guide you toward something truly memorable. Service here is impeccable without being intrusive. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed like an old friend. Glasses are poured with care, and there’s always a thoughtful recommendation if you’re in the mood to try something new. It’s clear they love what they do, and that warmth translates into the entire experience. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for in a place like this—warm lighting, rustic yet elegant décor, and an inviting ambiance that encourages lingering. Whether you’re seated inside surrounded by shelves of beautiful bottles or outside enjoying the evening air, the mood is relaxed and intimate, perfect for savoring your wine at a slow, unhurried pace. In short, La Vineria is more than just a wine bar—it’s a place where great wine, attentive service, and a charming atmosphere come together seamlessly. Ideal for a romantic evening, a gathering with friends, or a solo visit to indulge in a beautiful glass of wine, it’s the kind of spot you’ll want to return to again and again.

Apparently this was a wine bar. Not seen one like this before - to me it looked like an epicurean shop. We were in a rush so didn't get a chance to have a proper look but managed to buy a couple of two different packets of biscuits. We preferred Torcetti Al Burro Artigianali to Torcetti gocce di cioccolato Biscotti artigianali which have chocolate chip in it. They tasted a little on the bitter side. Could just be a personal taste thing.

If not for this peaceful and friendly vineria our visit to Aosta would have been a bit disappointing. We had a selection of regional cheese and meat as a starter and then enjoyed a green salad with delicious goat cheese/ricotta. Served with a glass of cold white wine from the region. Friendly owner/staff. Now, the old town has its charm but during the summer holiday, it's a major tourist/shopping destination.

We found our experience somewhat disappointing. Our waitress was not friendly after she misheard our order and had to return with the correct drink. There was also an annoying smell from insence sticks which overruled our senses from the good cocktails.

Tucked away, out of the hustle and bustle, no nonsense. Le Privé knows how it’s done. Some of the best aperitivi in courmayeur, fairly priced cocktails, friendly staff, an extensive menu. It’s a no brainer. (The Campari passion… oof yes please)

Bar Le Dahu is a lovely, well-chosen selection of regional and national wines, cocktails, and light bites. Expect to pay around 10 Euros for a cocktail here. The service is quick and efficient. There's a generous plate of drinks to accompany your aperitivo.
A charming restaurant in the center of Courmayeur, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made it a great choice for a cool evening. We opted to dine outdoors and enjoyed a tuna salad and spaghetti with cherry tomatoes from their menu. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome. It was a lovely evening spent in a delightful setting.

The bar may be good for a few drinks only. But the green salad was a joke (see the picture). They said it is lettuce , and we said it is not green.

The food was a joke and we got the food 20 miniuts before the food. The servers ignored us and the small croisant in the picture was 6€

Decent enough food and service, but me oh my are these guys charging absurd prices. In what universe is a coke €6?? Insult to injury with the €3/person Coperto and €5 for flat water (we were not asked on size or quoted price). Maybe our fault being in the more touristy area, staff and food were nice enough so if money’s no object give it a shot. If you’re a fellow monetary mortal look elsewhere.

We visited with family this hotel in the city centre. The views of Del Monte from the city is superb. The lovely tunnel road is out of world experience. The hotel is well kept, clean, hygienic and have a variety of menu to eat. The company is KIA is sponsoring this hotel and their names is available in the menu card. The food is delicious and the climate when we had visited was really superb.

Lasagna was amazing! Apple cake was also surprisingly delicious. Servers were pleasant. We say outside for a quick food break.

Not recommended, the guy at the cashier is barely answering the customers, and when we do the check out he added price to 4 euros to the coffee witch on the blackboard its written 2 euros. Even though we were talking in Italian and we lived in Italy for a long time, this is really unbelievable! One more star is only for the good environment and the nice service lady.

La Crotta di Vegneron Cooperativa Agricola is one of the remaining two wineries that produce wine in the town of Chambave. Located next to a bar frequented by pensioners and children playing football, this winery and shop are at the heart of the community.
Winery shop with an opportunity to taste a wide variety of different wines both international and local. Tasting is interesting and for me the Muscat Chambave Attente is a must try! Really enjoyed it and easily accessible by regular bus service from Aosta.

Everytime I’m in Valle D’Aosta I bought some boxes of wine here. This time I wanted to taste the recent year’s Fumin before buying some but was told I’d have to book a tasting several days in advance. Well that’s not only very uncomfortable and customer unfriendly, given that prices have also increased, it’s also largely uncommon. Fortunately there a many other vineyards in the north west. You won’t see me again.

MPC Maison Publique de la Cervoise is a delightful bar that truly captures the essence of local charm. Popular among night owls, especially around 11 PM on Saturdays, it offers a vibrant atmosphere where visitors often linger for about 2.5 hours. On quieter Mondays, you can enjoy a more relaxed vibe. This gem shines particularly bright during hot summer days when patrons can quench their thirst with an impressive selection of at least six beers on tap and various bottled options.
What a gem of a place. Immediately felt welcome, like part of the neighborhood. Everyone was lively and inviting. They didn't make us feel like foreigners; in fact, they embraced the language barrier. They were as generous with their time as with their spirits by introducing us gratis to shots of the local liquor which was delicious. After we climbed multi-stories of stairs to our rental, all we wanted was a good beer and they had it! Really hit the spot! And the porchetta sandwich was superb. My husband is a former Chef and was blown away with the sandwich. Thank you for adding such joy to our honeymoon

Loved this bar on a hot Summer's day when I had a raging thirst. I had a 50cl of Maerzenbier 5.8%, a dark Belgian ale 8% and another strong dark one. All three were superb. Sandra had a local red wine and the owner was kind enough to give us a small platter of Speck, cheese, olives and bread. Thank you for your kind gesture. There are at least six beers on tap plus a number of bottled beers so you will find something to suit your tastes. Good bar. Strongly recommend that you give it a visit. Aye. Unfortunately there was a big issue with synxronizing the secondi I had with the kids pizzas. My secondi was quite quicly prepared, but I finished and then it took even additional time before the pizzas were served... on top of this, 7 euros for a Coca cola is way too price. A medium beer is the same price. The quality of the pizzas aswell as the secondi I had was however excellent, but the service and the price is reducing the star level i can offer you.

Very typical Italian restaurant, easy to join during tour ski sessions. You have to book it's recommended, then you arrive at the ski resort in La Thuile, you catch the Bandito shuttle and 5 minutes after you can order wonderful pasta or other Italian delights. Prices are not expensive. I recommend this place!

Set in an old horse stable, the atmosphere is very warm and staff are kind and welcoming. However, prices are high compared to the quality of the food served. The Fonduta Valdostana tasted only slightly of cheese and was instead clearly filled with butter, which makes it a tough dish to finish. Mixed grill was nothing special, and no dish includes a side. We ordered sides separately to find out the spinach and grilled vegetables were frozen. Bread was not tasty nor fresh, house wine was sour and expensive (10€ a litre), we chose not to order the local beer as it was 6€ for a can! Even desserts were not satisfying. Tiramisù is a traditional Italian dessert and this one was not up to standard.

Great bar with excellent beer and no siesta! This bar pleasantly surprised me in several ways. First of all, they don’t have a siesta, which is a huge advantage for tourists—you can stop by at any time of the day without worrying about mid-afternoon closing hours. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly staff, who remained attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. They have a great selection of draft beers, which I truly appreciate as a Czech. We tried about five different ones, and they were all excellent—of course, it depends on personal preference. A big plus was when we picked a rather uncommon and somewhat sour beer, and the staff brought us a small tasting glass for free before we committed to ordering it. That level of service really stands out! For food, we ordered panini, and honestly, I was expecting just a small snack, but it turned out to be a full and satisfying meal. The atmosphere was great, the setting was nice, and I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Overall, an amazing place where they truly take care of you. Thank you, and I highly recommend it!

Dentro eravamo schiacciati come in coda, siamo usciti alle 2:30. 40€ buttati, non ci tornerò mai più. Sconsigliatissimo, posto peggiore di Courmayeur.

(Translated by Google) But what is this thing? This question will come to you as soon as you set foot in the "place", if you can call it that. €20 entry (obviously without a tax receipt, and a good check would be in order here, I was there near the cash desk for 10 minutes and I didn't see a scrap of the receipt, in short...) after 02:00, you are given by the unprofessional and highly boastful staff (especially the boy with the rolex hat who acts like a real joker) a nice card with the word "drink" written on it, and so far so good, without considering the fact of being in summer and the average internal temperature of 30 degrees. You approach the ugly and dirty counter to get your beautiful "drink" at the beginning of the evening and you discover the best scam of the evening, drink for them means shot... and at that point you have two options or interact with whoever is at the reception, but you will have few successes dealing with kids who are just over 18 and still don't understand the existence of the "consumer's right of withdrawal" or you will limit yourself to convincing kids at the bar to give you at least one beer. Once everything is finished and with the cloth starting to fall down to your knees you hope to listen to good music at least... but you are deluded by a riot of "notes" placed at random, children still far from being able to register for a driving license almost getting into fights for having accidentally stepped on their white shoes or to make themselves "pretty" in front of the girls, a horrifying sight. Do you have a smoker in your company? Don't worry, you have a poorly ventilated tunnel at your disposal where thousands of burini crowd together to take a few puffs of a cigarette. And there, in addition to the patch due to the lack of air conditioning, you will also have your dress covered in cigarette smell. What can I say, an evening of tax evasion, tourist scams and filth. Oh and if you come by car I recommend parking it as far away from the venue as possible, children like to break rear windows and other things on cars parked outside. First experience obviously negative in its entirety. That evening unfortunately the Club House '80s was closed otherwise if it is open go there (if you are over 25). Prima esperienza ovviamente negativa in toto. Quella sera purtroppo il Club House '80s era chiuso altrimenti se aperto andate li (se avete più di 25 anni).

Bar Roma is a delightful gem that captures the essence of local charm and hospitality. Nestled in the heart of Aosta, this bar quickly became a favorite for visitors seeking an authentic experience. With its inviting atmosphere, Bar Roma offers an impressive selection of cocktails and wines, but what truly makes it special are the friendly faces behind the counter. Enzo, with his extensive knowledge and infectious humor, along with Dany and Roxy's warm smiles, create an environment where guests feel right at home.
Quality, professionality, not only in their job but also as people. This place is able to make you feel like home, giving you a really big choice on what to drink. If you are a cocktails person you will find a great search over basic materials. If you prefer wine you will find an incredible choice of them, well known and even less known but keeping a really great quality. I can't rate it as a standard bar. This place really feels like home.

Best bar in Aosta ,Enzo the owner made us( wife and myself) feel at home and like friends from the start. Daniella (Enzos sister) has my coffees on point every morning and always a welcoming and cheerful face. The staff here are always attentive and friendly. Alessia, Marie-Claire, Melissa and especially Roxy. The afternoons here having aperitivi are amazing and the stuzzichini that Enzo brings out are the best of the best. This is a real family run business ,we really enjoy this bar and when it comes time to leave ( we are in Aosta for 6 months from New Zealand) we will sorely miss this bar(Roma).

As for the food, it didn't meet expectations in terms of either quality or quantity. In my opinion, it's a place better suited for a quick bite than a quiet dinner. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for good value or attentive service. Great location, nicely decorated. We stoped for an Aperol Spritz and a Hugo (I'm intolerant to citrus fruit - often it comes with a slice of lemon which I pass on to the Apeol). This Hugo came with lemon juice which I never had before. Anyway, we immediately asked for another one without lemon juice. The reaction was unexpected - we were told by the bar staff that Hugo always comes with lemon juice and that she worked many places before where the Hugo was always served with lemon juice, therefore she reluctantely offered to make one without, but we would have to pay for both. Yes, I can see her point based on the experience she had. But is this the best way to treat your guests and to ensure they will return?

place a bit because I thought it was nice to advertise them since I have had a Chocolateria in Spain for a long time More than 25 years and when someone enters to record to advertise us, we thank them with great affection. The waitress in this place was very unpleasant, very rude and I think that there are people who should never be in public places dealing with people. My intention was to give them good publicity since I have 30,000 followers on Instagram and now the only thing I want is to leave a very bad review because you can't talk to a person like that and treat them rudely because they go in to take some photos and record in a public place. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone, places are made beautiful by the people in them... this cafeteria has very little empathetic and very little pleasant people inside.

Robbie is renowned for being an exceptional host, making Adam Bistrot one of the top venues to visit. Visitors have been coming back to this bar for a remarkable three years and appreciate Robbie's warm hospitality in his 'locals' establishment. With its unique position in Aosta Valley, it stands as the sole alternative location offering occasional rock music played by DJs from the 80s, creating a pleasant ambiance.
Robbie is one of the best hosts you will find. We have been returning to his bar for 3 years now. He loves to welcome holidaymakers to his 'locals' bar.

Very nice owner and good drinks. But do everything you can to avoid the food in this place.

(Translated by Google) We went to this place for dinner. We were looking for something simple and came by seeing the reviews and photos on Google Maps. As soon as we entered the place was empty, and we already thought we'd had a bad night. Instead the owner, very friendly and attentive to customers, immediately put us at ease. We eat sandwiches, burgers, various appetizers or salad. We got the burgers and they were good. Prices from around 4 to 7 euros, but excellent quality. The music was also welcome. There is also book crossing on site.
