Nhà hàng Khám Phá Việt (Thắng cố A Quỳnh) is a must-visit restaurant in Sapa, Vietnam. It offers the traditional savory stew known as thang co, which includes a variety of meats like horse, buffalo, pork, and beef simmered with herbs and spices. This dish exemplifies the communal spirit of Sapa's indigenous communities and is traditionally prepared during gatherings and festivals.
This place is incredible! We wanted to try horse meat and it did not disappoint! Great taste, beautiful restaurant and cozy athmosphere. The staff was really nice to have us dining just before closing! Highly recommend not only for horse meat, they have lots of other choices!
Sara T — Google review
However good the service, it can't overcome the rats running around the floor of the restaurant with some on to of tables while very oily food while charging a premium price. Absolutely mind boggling that there can be so many rats running around the restaurant, it killed the hunger and we left our food midway when we noticed a few in the cooking area/kitchen. We didn't understand why this place would have so many good reviews.
Sumukh S — Google review
Great place to try horse meat dish called Thang Co! Would recommend checking this place out. We ordered their horse meat sizzling plate and egg with onion.
Goldwin S — Google review
I tried the horse soup it was good, staff was friendly also but they gave no tea no water service was very lack. And I was the only person, but they tried to give me to treat people’s hot pot. And also they don’t take credit card. They try to charge you extra 3%.
Sally K — Google review
Excellent atmosphere with bigs groups ordering hotpot and toasting each other. You get a huge plate of greens and the staff are busy but very kind. Live music started around 9pm on a Saturday night. We were just a couple not in a group and we are not Vietnamese but felt very welcome and were invited to have tea by one of the customers as we left.
C J — Google review
The food was only okay. The chicken was so tough to chew that I didn't finish it. Sturgeon soup was a bit bitter. The sticky rice was good though.
Casting S — Google review
Happened to chance upon this restaurant after recommended by the massage shop. We never regret it. Thang Co is literally horse meat hotpot, I would say it is a must try but go with the small pot so that you have the appetite to order many other dishes! The atmosphere is truly insta-worthy and so if you are keen to look for some places that is authentic and yet tastefully designed. This is it. And oh, they have this waiter, that speaks Mandarin. Don’t let him fool you! Ha.
Lynn K — Google review
I love this restaurant! Although it’s a bit pricey, the quality and service make it worth it. 🤍✨ I ordered salmon and sturgeon, and I preferred the sturgeon for its lack of fish bones. The salmon had a few bones but was still good. The vegetable portion was generous and easy to eat, and the set also included corn, tofu, mushrooms, and rice noodles. The soup was delicious, with a neutral flavor similar to tomato soup but not too sour, making it easy to enjoy. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helped me enjoy my meal by showing me how to eat the dishes. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this place! ✅

Nestled in the heart of Sapa, Moment Romantic Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a diverse menu featuring delectable Northwest dishes. The must-try items include salmon and sturgeon hotpot, renowned for their exquisite broths prepared with special recipes. The restaurant's cozy ambiance reflects the style of Sapa's ethnic groups, with warm red and yellow hues and furnishings crafted from bamboo and mountain wood. Guests are treated to attentive service in a clean and inviting space.
We had a lovely dining experience at Moment Romantic Restaurant. The beef hot pot was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor, made with fresh ingredients, and more than enough to feed our family of four. Our server Vuon was incredibly pleasant and accommodating, making us feel well taken care of throughout the meal (with multiple vegetable refills). The atmosphere was great, and the attentive service made our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, we were very satisfied. We enjoyed the food so much that for our last meal in Sapa, we returned to the restaurant and ordered pretty much the same dishes. 😁👍👍💯
Pol V — Google review
Everything here is very satisfying! To sum up, the food is delicious, the service is nice, and the restaurant accepts cards. 1. The hotpot is delicious for me and the portion is huge! Me and my wife had a hard time to finish the meal since we were so full. The soup is sweet and sour, similar to tom yum but a lot less spicy, so I think westerners could still eat the hotpot. 9/10 easily! 2. The fried spring roll is also amazing! I would recommend dipping it to the sauce first. Personally, I'd rate 10/10 for the spring roll only❤️ 3. The service is outstanding. The servers can speak English, they are also very proactive and super friendly. I'm very satisfied with the helpfulness so it's also a 10/10 for me! 4. This restaurant is also accepting Mastercard and Visa. I didn't pay attention for JCB, Amex, or other cards, but it definitely helped me since I was running out of cash. It would charge you 2% of the total payment but it's still cheaper than withdrawing cash from the ATM. 5. The ambience is also great! It is spacious and shows the Vietnam's authenticity The next time I'm going to Sapa, I definitely will come back here!
Bimbim — Google review
Food quality is 10/10 really good shabu shabu. Plenty and very generous with the vegetables and meat! Spring roll and hotpot is a must try! Service - they all deserve a raise. Specially Vŭòn, she is one of a kind. Very helpful and always has a smile on her face. Location - near centre and easy to go to. Place is aesthetic and lots of seats availability. Very affordable but good food and service. Will definitely be back and recommend this to everyone.

Sour, sweet and slightly spicy soup that warms the heart and belly. Amazing salmon hotpot with fresh vegetables (leafy greens and tomatoes). What's better is that the vegetables are free flow!! The Maggie was a nice touch to the meal. The fresh spring roll has a nice minty taste. The stir fry morning glory was nice as well. Passion fruit with honey was a decent surprise. Overall the meal was very appetising and comforting. Service is amazing, the lady explained and cooked for us. They all have a great smile, honest and down to earth people.

The salmon hot pot is Superrrr. The sour taste is very nice, especially after we went for the alphine roller coaster and feel abut dizzy. The food is very nice, i have order the vegetables salad and salmon hot pot. The staff is very friendly and teach us how to eat the salmon. The environment is cozy 😍

Tasty food - Must try their hotpot experience, their staff (Vuon), served us well and did the initial cooking for us too. Salmon was abundant. Served us complimentary dessert as their specialty as well.
Wei J — Google review
Tried their salmon hotpot and the soup was amazing. It comes with bottomless vegetables, rice, and noodles. Perfect for Sapa's chilly weather. The service staff were also incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. A must-try for anyone looking for a good hotpot in Sapa

Salmon hotpot is really delicious and I like the soup most. Mixing the tomato, lime and salmon taste , it makes a great meal. Can refill the vegetables and noodles & the portion is grate for 2-3. The owner is also very friendly & helpful.

Restaurant
A Phủ Restaurant, located near Sapa Stone Church, offers a unique dining experience with its spacious and airy ambiance. The wooden floors, tables, and rattan lamps create a warm atmosphere complemented by large glass windows that provide views of the lush outdoor greenery. The menu features a variety of dishes from Northern Vietnamese cuisine, including specialties like salmon hotpot, grilled salmon, charcoal-grilled chicken, crispy roast pork, and black chicken soup.
Yummy and affordable fish hotpot just right beside Sapa Station. We went with sturgeon but the slightly sour and fruity broth should also go well with salmon. Expect really huge servings with ample sides of veggies and rice noodles.
Sheila C — Google review
Generous portions with tasty and authentic food is served here at A Phu! We stumbled upon this restaurant after coming back from Fansipan. They have unique dishes here like the local wild vegetables which was very delicious. Although the specialty is sturgeon, salmon and horse… we did not manage to try them. The salt chicken and lemongrass pork were great, not too salty but very fragrant. We also enjoyed the lemongrass tea here. Staff were helpful and food was served quickly.
Nat G — Google review
Salmon Hotpot: Pineapple tomato broth, tangy and spicy. Served alongside rice noodles and a big basket of vegetables, like Bún Chả. Salmon is super fresh and the whole dish works very well but it was too bony, maybe Sturgeon would have been easier This was the 500k VND version, more than enough for 2pax.
Dan — Google review
We came here because it was highly rated and recommended by our hotel, but it was quite disappointing. The place was very busy, but the food didn’t live up to the hype or the price. Their “famous” horse meat dish was extremely smelly and chewy — we couldn’t even finish it. The black pig, another best seller, was also underwhelming. Overall, not worth the cost or the reputation.
Quyen L — Google review
A great location in the heart of town with delicious food! We enjoyed the salmon, garlicy greens, apricot wine and watermelon juice! It was a great place to celebrate our brand new engagement! We were upstairs but as we were leaving I saw they had some amazing live music.
Han S — Google review
The food was delicious, and the salmon was incredibly fresh - caught right on site. The staff were friendly and attentive. Although it was my first time visiting Sapa and I found this restaurant through social media, the experience was truly worth it. I’ll definitely come back here the next time I’m in Sapa. If it’s your first time in Sapa, you should absolutely give this place a try. Thank you for the amazing meal!

The food was perfect. I liked everything here. I want to say thank to Trang. She so cute and kind. Hightly recomend
Giang M — Google review
The food are delicious and the staff are very nice. We decided to dine in this place because we saw that it's actually a Michelin rated/recognized food place. We've tried stir fry roast pork and cheesy salmon and some refreshing drinks (Oolong lemon honey tea, avocado smoothie, and lime juice). Highly recommended. They also have hotpot and horse meat specials but we opted to order just those because we're still a bit full.

The Red Dzao House, located in Ta Phin Village, is a cultural center that provides an immersive experience into the traditions of the Red Dzao ethnic minority group. This unique attraction offers traditional dance performances, handicraft demonstrations, and cultural workshops. Visitors can engage in activities such as weaving and batik while learning about the Red Dzao's distinct way of life. Additionally, guests can savor local specialties at this renowned restaurant on Thac Bac Street near Victoria Hotel.
We had the mixed Hotspot for two people at 430,000 VND. And the One Wine Syrah, reasonably priced with decent tannins and fruit. Over the top tasty! Our server Quang did the cooking as we are novices and did a top notch job, timing the vegetables, shrimp, fish, beef and chicken perfectly. Quang was extremely attentive. The ambiance is classic, beautiful and colorful. Red Dzao was recommended by our local guide, Duke/Duc (sp?) who has never let us down. Do Not miss this place. The food was absolutely heavenly

Idk if it’s because I’m an Indian, I didn’t quite enjoy the food here. I felt everything had a sweet taste except for the chicken dish. We got a set menu including 1. Pumpkin soup - i felt it was too watery and not creamy 2. Sweet potato balls - no salt or seasoning whatsoever 3. Rice 4. Eggplant dish 5. Sweet and sour shrimp - it had bell peppers and pineapples- it had a unique taste which was kinda nice 6. Chicken with garlic and mushrooms - chicken sauteed with onions, carrots, capsicum and mushrooms , seasoned with salt and pepper 7. Fruits

Nice outdoor seating area, hosts huge tour groups so may be hard to get a seat during peak hours. Saw a tourist literally begging for a seat as it was his “last night” so might have expected too much Cơm Lam (Bamboo Rice): Colored sticky rice without flavor. Middle is sticky and soft, outer layer is crispy. Served with salty peanut dip. Pretty additive! Thịt Lợn Cắp Nách (Armpit Pork): Named due to method of transportation (under the arms), thankfully nothing to do with its flavor. We tried the grilled version (w galangal) and it had a nice flavor but was pretty dry and hence tough to chew. This restaurant serves it with Cơm Lam, so you can try both specialities within 1 dish. We asked if this came with any staples before we ordered the separate Cơm Lam, so imagine our dismay when this already came with it… Cá Hỏi Sót Pho Mai (Sapa Salmon w Cheese): Was kind of fishy and cheese was super sweet…
Dan — Google review
After getting turned away our first night, we made it in on our second and last night in Sapa. Definitely a place to come check out if you’re in town. We asked for the special menu where they had more options - so we ordered the pork with galangal, bamboo steamed rice, salmon with passion fruit sauce, the chayote greens with garlic, and drinks. My favorite was the pork - make sure they give you the dipping sauce! And for drinks, get the Red Dzao Lady or the SaPa Fruity - so delicious. I didn’t realize that the bamboo steamed rice already came with the pork, so I would have skipped that. And while I’m not a huge salmon fan, this one tasted to fresh and delicious and not fishy at all. I’d definitely recommend Red Dzao house for a great meal!
Eric S — Google review
Love the food here. Price is also very reasonable. The restaurant is simply beautiful. The staffs are very attentive and friendly. Tried the sturgeon hot pot. Yum! The taste of the flower herbal tea is very pleasant.
Agnes S — Google review
Prices were reasonable and food portion was good! Service staff cooks for you if you order the hotpot. We ordered normal dishes - the pork, salmon foil, omelet, sturgeon soup and rice all for 900k VND. We had the mixed hotpot the next day because this restaurant is really good and constantly filled with tour groups.
Joel S — Google review
Great experience. We shared the salmon hot pot, and our waiter Mây Nga handled everything expertly: cooking at the table and keeping the service smooth. The food was fresh, the place is cozy, and the whole dinner felt relaxed and well taken care of. We'd happily come back.
Marcello G — Google review
If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine with amazing ambience, then I would recommend Res Dzao House on top of the bucket list. It’s food, service are both above and beyond. We have tried items like salmon hotpot, grilled local fish, grilled shrimp over last 2 days and now I am planning to have another dinner here. In terms of service, Mr. Tuan took extreme good care of us during the whole meal and cannot say thank enough for his continued supervision. Overall, it’s must have in Sapa if you are a foodie.

Le Gecko Café, also known as 'The Gecko Cafe', is a versatile French-owned establishment in Sapa. It serves as a hotel, café, restaurant, and bar at night. The café offers a picturesque view of Fansipan mountain and Sapa Lake from its comfortable patio with wooden chairs. Visitors can savor Lavazza coffee and indulge in nama chocolate at an affordable price.
Le Gecko Cafe is a lovely spot right in the heart of Sapa — warm, welcoming, and perfect for a casual break or a relaxed meal. The staff were genuinely friendly and made the experience feel personal. The cafe has a cozy, charming interior with comfy seating and colorful decor, creating a great place to unwind. What really stood out was the egg iced coffee and egg hot chocolate — both absolutely divine and beautifully presented with creative latte art. There’s a good range of drinks, snacks, and meals available, all reasonably priced, making it great value for money. Whether you’re dropping in for a coffee or spending time soaking in the atmosphere, it’s a spot worth returning to. Had a lovely break at Le Gecko Cafe! I ordered the Tiramisu and blended Coconut Coffee — the coffee was super good and shiok! 😋 Creamy, refreshing, and full of flavor, perfect for Sapa’s cool weather. The tiramisu was light and tasty too. The café has a nice cozy vibe with friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere — a great spot to chill, enjoy dessert, or people-watch for a while. Definitely worth a visit!

The staff at this café are incredibly friendly. There’s always someone on the second floor ready to take your order, so you don’t need to go downstairs to the counter. The desserts are delicious, and the environment is clean and comfortable. I stayed in Sapa for 14 days and came here almost every day for dessert. I’ve tried most of the desserts, and I highly recommend their two types of tiramisu and the brownie. I’ve had desserts from other places in Sapa, but none were as good as this café. The brownie is served warm, so the melted chocolate blends perfectly into the cake — it tastes amazing. And very thank you to the staff who gave me water. So thoughtful!😃 I definitely needed it after eating way too much sugar. 😅
李政鴻 — Google review
The cafe is nice and clean. However, the place is overpriced. We asked for an omelette with 2 toasts with a cappuccino (you need to pay 20k extra) and we paid 154,000 each. In addition, they only put one small proportion of butter and when we asked for a second one, they said that we need to pay (5,000; that is not money but after paying 149k for a breakfast and having 2 toasts per dish, I consider that they can put the second proportion without extra charge). When we were having breakfast, we felt a bit of pressure to finish quickly.
Lucía G — Google review
Very nice environment with great service. We had an egg coffee (i had to try it), a pineapple juice, a potato soup and a banh mi. Everything really good. Thank you!

Little Sapa Restaurant is a charming eatery that offers a diverse menu filled with the tantalizing flavors of Sapa. The dishes, including grilled pork skewers, spring rolls, and pho, are prepared using traditional Vietnamese cooking methods by skilled chefs. Additionally, staying at a local homestay provides an immersive cultural experience where guests can participate in sourcing food for meals and learning to cook regional specialties.
Delicious local cuisine with a cozy vibe! We saw another review on Google that recommended the fish in the sweet and sour sauce and it didn’t not disappoint. We also got wild pork and the seasonal veggies. I could’ve eaten an entire plate of the cabbage alone, it was so good!
Han S — Google review
Our dinner was at the Little Sapa Restaurant. This place is located on a slope where its not exactly easy to find. But with Google, it's shouldny be a problem. It's a nice small restaurant that serves some interesting dishes. We ordered the prawn fritters, pork on hot plate, mixed veg with mushroom and a tofu also on hotplate. Taste was just a little above average. The tofu dish stood out the most. The condiments that was added to it made it very flavouful. The rest of the dishes were okay. Price was reasonable, and the service was the usual friendly Vietnamese style. Ambience was pleasant and place was neat and presentable.

Was first a emergency solition as the first restaurants were closed, full or empty. However, we were absolutely overwhelmed! The food was very delicious, quick and very affordable. After having first evening lunch we decided the next day to eat there once again. Highly recommended!
Olivier S — Google review
This restaurant may be tucked away off the main road, but it was completely full when we arrived — no surprise, given its top Google reviews. Our family dined here one evening in Sapa and had a truly pleasant experience. I tried my first Bánh Xèo here, and the friendly staff kindly showed me how to prepare it. The rest of the family opted for the generously sized Bánh Mì, which was equally satisfying. Overall, a great dining experience worth seeking out.

Little Sapa was our go-to dinner spot during our stay in Sapa. The food was good and reasonably priced. On the different occasions we were there, we tried the Bahn Xeo, the fish with galangal on hot plate, the venison on hot plate, several of their veggies, the tofu with egg on hot plate (personally my favourite dish from here) and the food was consistently good. The service is quick and efficient and the restaurant owners very friendly. Definitely give them a try, but keep in mind that it can get very crowded in the small restaurant on some evenings.

Excellent food, very tasty! We went there because I saw it in a comment on a Facebook group for Vietnam. We were a bit skeptical, as the comment wasn't reliable but everyone's reviews were positive and we decided to try it out! It has a great selection of amazing dishes, it was so hard to select! We loved our food and we will go again tomorrow!!! PS, 2 or 3 stores later it had a great foot massage completing our evening! Editing my review and score. I went the next day and unfortunately both my drink and pho had flying insects on it...It is not the first time that happens to me in Vietnam but it is really not pleasant.........

Viet Deli - Món Ngon Tây Bắc is a renowned restaurant in Sapa, specializing in Northwest Cuisine. It offers fresh chicken, fish, and ethnic specialties like Thang Co horse hot pot and Dong Tao king chicken. The dishes are carefully prepared to cater to different tastes, providing a unique culinary experience. The warm and inviting ambiance creates a homely atmosphere, with ample parking space available.
A little pricey compared to other restos in sapa but i would say it's worth it. Someone was playing live flute. We recommend the bamboo pork, fried noodles, and crispy pork. The deer? Not so much :( only downside was we had a hard time getting a proper seat because most seats (even if they were empty) are said to be occupied. By who? We dont know because they customers are the one pushing us away. Sit on the ground floor to avoid the rude customers

We were recommended by our grab driver about this place. The overall experience was so amazing, that we ate here two nights in a row. First night: We tried their suckling pig in bamboo and local fish/black chicken hot pot accompanied by an abundance of fresh herbs/veggies and a generous serving of artichoke wine. Second night: black chicken steamed in bamboo with sticky rice, horse sizzling plate and a large bowl of morning glory soup. The service were on point and friendly, super helpful with figuring out the local favourites and specialties. Price is reasonable for the quality we were receiving. My mum is a very peculiar eater and she was praising how well balanced it is with each dish. Well done team! Thank you for the wonderful culinary experience here in Sa Pa!

Me and my fam wanted to visit other restaurant at first but we got recommended by our grab driver to visit this restaurant instead. Honestly it was the best decision ever because we had a blast eating here😭💛 the ambiance is very unique and comfy and the staff are great and helpful even the owner Mrs. Rosie taught us how to eat sashimi in Vietnamese style😁😁 all of our foods are delicious and our orange juice are fresh! Really glad to visit Viet Deli and make me missed Sa Pa more😭😭🫰🫰

This place was recommended to me by a local and it didn’t disappoint. The vibes, decor, service and food were great. Occasionally you'll hear the staff play the flute. Kien hoa was the best! He helped me figure out what Sapa food to try out even solo.

The restaurant had a really good ambience and their staff were very accommodating. The smoked duck and pumpkin soup is definitely a must try.

When we got here we waited about 2 minutes to get a table. Took another 15 to serve us. It was busy. So no fault on them. Ended up having the Hotpot and a beer. Everything tasted great and our server was awesome. He could also speak English which was a plus.

It’s delicious. Especially since salmon just caught it, it's fresher. I liked the shabu-shabu broth because it was a refreshing taste that I had never tried in Korea. The grilled pork belly with it is also really good. The people of Sapa food are also good ^^

Bistro
The Hill Station Deli & Boutique in Sapa is a charming spot to enjoy lunch with a focus on local produce. Established by two Danish individuals who were captivated by Sapa and Vietnam, the deli offers an array of locally-made buffalo cheeses, air-dried beef, hams, terrines, and smoked salmon and trout. The inspiration behind this establishment was Sapa's history as a French colonial hill station.
From outside this kind of pub (but it also serves coffees) is pretty ugly and anonymous (sorry for saying that, guys 😊) but once you open its door ... what a surprise ! It is very nicely decorated and there is a good atmosphere. The menu includes baguettes, sandwiches, burgers (and more) with Italian and European specialties. Highly recommended. 👍🏻

went here for quick breakfast. it’s a bit pricey but nice quality one. cozy atmosphere staff very helpful most of the food is quick bite and sandwich. they use a lot of imported cheese and cold cut. have tried baguette with cheese, tomato, and basil. very fresh and the bread is so nice pancakes with raw honey is also a good one.

Delicious burger and authentic (European) cheese plate. Cosy place and really nice ambiente.

The beer is really good if that's your thing, it's my thing and it was great to have a really decent New England style IPA or several.! Not cheap by local standards, but what the heck. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, though patronage could be higher. Not sure why it isn't as the menu reads well, and the food that we had was excellent. A great place to drop into for a change of pace. I look forward to looking up their sister bar in Hanoi.

Anise Sapa Restaurant is a standout culinary destination in the vibrant city of Sapa. Since its launch in September 2017, this establishment has garnered praise for its inventive cuisine and sophisticated setting. The chef, renowned for expertise gained in five-star restaurants, crafts extensive tasting menus that showcase a fusion of traditional Vietnamese flavors with modern techniques. Diners have lauded the restaurant's unique European-Asian dishes that promise an unforgettable dining experience.
Greatest fresh spring rolls in my Vietnam trip (I visited Hanoi and Saigon as well, tried to find smth similar and didn’t succeed). Great chestnut soup, very comfy food. Peach tea was very interesting, extremely sweet tho. As for the service: it was ok, but when we came there were not many customers (closer to none), however, we had to come to encounter and make an order there on our own, as no waiter showed up and paid attention at the start. Nevertheless, it’s a nicely decorated with fresh flowers, cute corner, I would definitely come back to.
Lana — Google review
The portions here are huge, especially for the main courses. Some even have labels suggesting it's better for 2 people to share, which makes sense given the size. It’s also very affordable considering how much food you get. We tried the pork knuckles, and they were excellent. The meat was incredibly soft, tender, and the skin had a nice crisp to it—the perfect balance between juicy and crispy. Their egg coffee was a pleasant surprise. It doesn’t have that strong eggy smell you’d expect; instead, it’s smooth and not overly sweet. The caramelized top adds a nice burnt caramel flavor that really elevates it. The waiter speaks a little bit of English, so you might need to use a translation app to help with ordering, but overall, it’s not too difficult to communicate.

This restaurant was one of my shortlisted place to go during my Sapa trip and it didn’t disappoint us. A simple country style set up which is hide away from the busy street. Service was good and the food was excellent! Their deep fried pork knuckle is by far the best I have tried so far. Thumbs up and will definitely visit again if I’m back to Sapa! 👍🏻
Alvin T — Google review
So yeah, we went to Anise Restaurant when the weather was a little cold. We were very hungry at that time, and surprisingly, their servings were large-portioned. It was the best meal we’ve had by far the best pork knuckle I’ve ever tasted! If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese food with bold, home-style flavors, this spot is a must-try. The pork knuckle, in particular, was fall-off-the-bone tender, with a crispy, well-seasoned exterior that paired perfectly with the restaurant’s tangy pickled veggies and fluffy rice. Even on a chilly day, the warm, cozy vibe inside made the meal feel extra comforting. Trust me, you won’t leave disappointed!
Marian T — Google review
I am giving only 1 start, because we came for Pho and it was so bad 😔 I though every place in Vietnam should male the Basic soup well. Even I can make better one as European from a recipe I found on YouTube. We are so disappointed, it tasted like a plain water, we left and don’t try other meals which might be good, but honestly didnt feel like ordering more from the restaurant. Sorry guys, but this was bad. Note: ginger tea and carrot juice was good.
Andrea S — Google review
Highly highly recommended to try pork knuckle. U won’t regret it. Morning glory is one of the best foods as well. The vibe is so chilling & i can’t recommend it enough.
Googee E — Google review
We tried the pork knuckle and stir-fried morning glory. The pork knuckle was well-cooked and the meat was mostly tender, though some parts were a bit tough to chew. Overall, it was good — especially the soft portions. A nice option if you're looking for something different after having a lot of local Vietnamese dishes.
C. O — Google review
We ordered the pork knuckle for the two of us. It was delicious and it was enough food to feed 4 people. We also ordered the bun cha which was also excellent but we definitely had too much food! Very small restaurant. We say customers turned away because they were full

Sapa Sky View Restaurant & Bar, located on the seventh floor of Chau Long Sapa Hotel, offers a stunning panoramic view of the Northwest mountains. The view is amazing, and my daughters mocktails were great. The cocktails were less than 30ml total, but when I called out the bartender he served us delicious proper sized negronis. My hope is they treat every patron the way they did after I questioned the petite cocktails.

Very nice the ambience. Very cozy. And the food taste great. A little bit more on the expensive side but all worth it 👌
Chippy C — Google review
I ordered the beef with pepper sauce and a cocktail, and my mum ordered mixed vegetables a vegetation spring rolls, to be served all together. The beef with pepper sauce had no vegetables and wasn’t the best taste. They brought out a vegetarian fried rice instead of the mixed vegetables and we had to ask for it to be changed. When it come out it didn’t look the best, essentially grated vegetable but apparently didn’t taste that bad. The atmosphere was great, quiet and with great views, photo attached.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant and it was a fantastic experience. I ordered Set Number One, and every dish was delicious and full of flavor. The mushroom soup was creamy and comforting. The shrimp with cheese was rich and tasty, and the bread on the side was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the salmon spring roll—fresh, crunchy, and full of flavor. The tuna salad was light and refreshing, and the chocolate cake at the end was soft, rich, and the perfect sweet finish. The service was great, the atmosphere was cozy, and the whole meal only cost around 15 USD—definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great meal in a nice setting.
Faisal — Google review
The pho bo was not rich at all (no meat taste) , it was just water with salt. Another thing, when I asked if they were cooking it now or if it was already prepared, the waitress answered that they would cook it now. I asked not to add monosodium glutamate, she answered ok, but I still decided to clarify once again whether the soup was already prepared or not, like if so, let it be so, and if not prepared, please do not add "monosodium glutamate" and then she changed and said that the soup was already prepared. It was so strange. In the end, we did not eat the soup, we just left it there and went to eat in an Italian restaurant nearby. The shrimps were dry, nothing special. The restaurant is overpriced. The view is beautiful, but the tables and glass railings were very dirty, which spoils the whole view.
A Y — Google review
The menu is quite misleading. Menu indicates as “apply to 2 pax”). i actually asked the waitress to clarify and reiterated with hand gestures. Ended up paying 400k. I can pass this as a comm error, but the food is quite subpar for what you pay in other restaurants in Sapa. You’re already paying for a meal more expensive than the famous ones like a buffet or meal in Viettrekking, and x4 than local shops. TLDR: Expensive for quite low quality food
Marky D — Google review
The food is good and the view is very beautiful. I had the grilled salmon ethnic style, and it was good but not exceptional.
Gopal A — Google review
We visited this restaurant with high expectations, influenced by the many positive Google reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was profoundly disappointing, both in terms of food and service. Despite being the only customers at the time, the service was unnecessarily slow and awkward. For example, after ordering sashimi, it arrived ten minutes later without any plates or utensils—something we had to request separately. When we finally began eating, we immediately discovered bones in the sashimi, an issue present in every piece we tried. When this was brought to the manager’s attention, the explanation given was that this was “just the type of salmon farmed in Sapa,” which felt dismissive and unhelpful. The rest of the dishes were delayed for nearly 40 minutes, and when they finally arrived, they were underwhelming at best. The servers themselves seemed hesitant and overly reliant on the manager for even the simplest tasks, which only contributed to the inefficiency and discomfort. In the end, the entire dining experience felt substandard. The quality of the food matched the poor service—simply unacceptable. We left dissatisfied and went to a nearby pizza restaurant instead, where the food was far superior despite the casual setting. This was, without question, one of the most disappointing dining experiences we have had, and we would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

good spot to eat hotpot and view the beautiful place, menu was all in Vietnamese word and as a tourist it was hard to communicate properly. But the staff are really friendly and polite, they also use translator app to communicate with tourist. Price was affordable for me as a tourist with 5 pax, the price was 500k ish which was okay. the food was really good and yummy too!! :)

Waiter didn't understand anything, even when we showed him what we wanted in the menu. He ignored us for the rest of the time. Canned beer was warm, and we didn't get glass. The portions were huge, but had no taste at all. Definitely not worth the price which is rather high. For a huge plate of fish we got a tiny bowl of sauce. Toilet was very dirty, no soap, no toilet paper

Obvious tourist trap, the food is overpriced. 700k+ for hotpot is diabolical but the food is acceptable

The place has a great view of Sapa Lake and cold road. We were going to order a hotpot or something their specialty as ppl said.. but all staff didnt speak english.. the menu book only avail in local language and mostly overpriced. When we asked for the menu info, they also could not say anything.. so we ordered some random things: salmon fried roll and pork bbq ribs. The tastes were very standard.

Quite a tourist place. Located nearby the lake with a great atmosphere especially you sit near the window where you can see people walking and cars honking. The food was nice but a little bit overprice. There are a similar place nearby (hotpot-wise) but the price are somewhat the same. The soup had a nice flavor and the portion was okay for 2.

A hot pot restaurant that attracts tourists with its exterior decoration because at night the restaurant is decorated with very beautiful lights (I ate in the morning). You can order food as a set or a la carte. As for me, I ordered the beef set, which I felt had a bad smell and was tough, making me unable to eat it all. The baked chicken tastes good and the pieces are very large.

We are a group of 15 having dinner at this restaurant. Staff are not well trained. Ordered a bottle of red wine and some tea...but tea was not served despite multiple reminders. Red wine was also not served after we half way through the dinner. Finally we had to cancel it. Ordered 2 grilled salmon but only one was served. Also had to cancel it as everyone has no mood to wait for the other order. Asked them to clean the table before serving dessert but they didn't. Desserts were served in the mess of the table. Went to remind the person in charge and he was impatient and raised his voice. Food wise also so so only - we ordered steak, soup, chicken chop, lasagna...all don't taste like authentic western food. Desserts are also not up to the expectation. Overall dining experience is below average. Not sure how it gets > 4 rating in Google.

Viet Emotion SaPa is a charming café located in Sapa, offering a unique blend of Hoi An's nostalgic essence and the Northwestern highlands' character. The café's interior features warm yellow tones, green wooden doors, and vibrant lanterns that transport visitors to the streets of old Hoi An. Situated on Cau May Street, this café provides an opportunity to immerse oneself in the daily life of Sapa while enjoying a cup of coffee amidst picturesque surroundings.
My go to cafe for one week now while in Sapa. Locally owned, reasonably priced, and a diverse menu. Enjoyed the grilled eggplant in honey and a pumpkin soup with coconut cream. Couldn’t pass up a carrot cake to finish. Whoops! Don’t judge me I was trekking. The manager was super attentive and staff super welcoming. Most negative reviews are of cheap backpackers only looking for western meal. You can find that elsewhere. This is a cute gem.
Patrick G — Google review
Lots of great food, veggie options, and CHEESE which can be hard to find in Vietnam. A little expensive and the coffee comes with too much milk. However the omelettes are great and the EGGPLANT PARM is the best I've had anywhere, hands down. I think it's because the eggplant is picked younger than in the west, while it's still green. Mine also came with plenty of cheese which is really the one thing I've been missing while in Vietnam.
Leo G — Google review
Fast service, and decent food. A bit overpriced but same goes for most places in this area. Sapa has great salmon and while most places only offer hotpots Viet Emotion 2 has a salmon sizzling plate. It's a bit expensive but it's worth. They have a selection of wine too.

This is best restaurant in Sapa town Vietnam. There are so many English & French foods in that restaurant. We can see so many foreign people going for that place during their Sapa tour. All the foods & beverages are nice and I can recommend this place to the people who love to have English & French foods.
Nilusha J — Google review
This is an awful hotel, especially for foreign guests. They tried to sell me a different room to the photos displayed on their Agoda listing. Then they showed me a different room which was yet to be properly cleaned and was left with dirty sheets with clear stains on them. All available staff weren't able to communicate well in any language. To save a lot of decent people time and money, I strongly don't recommend this hotel for anyone. I have stayed in Sapa on many occasions and this is the worst service I've experienced. There are many other more professional places, with cleaner rooms, staff able to communicate well and just overall so much more organised. I hope this helps prevent many bad experiences for potential future customers.

Saw this on google and had to try it, and it DID not disappoint. I ordered Margarita Pizza (Homemade Cheese) and it was amazing the cheese and the tomato sauce tastes amazing, the cheese has no cheese pull but it was still great. The Milk Coffee looks good but it was very sweet for me but it’s still good, The Spaghetti Carbonara is AMAZING its creamy, cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and nice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Must-Try Pizza Spot in Sapa! Chicago Pizza Sapa completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm and friendly service. The team here really knows how to make you feel at home. The pizza? Absolutely fantastic. The crust was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, loaded generously with fresh, flavourful toppings. Every bite was satisfying and full of that classic comforting taste you expect from great Chicago-style pizza. You can tell they put care into their ingredients and preparation. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and perfect for a break after exploring Sapa. Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or enjoying a solo meal, it’s a wonderful spot to unwind. This is good pizza. The pie had very little sauce, making it basically cheese and bread, but its still the best Chicago style I've had and I've been to Gino's in Chicago who is regarded as the best. Maybe ask for sauce on the side and you've got yourself a 5 star slice.

Yummy Restaurant, with its rustic bamboo design, offers a unique dining experience in the heart of SaPa. The open space allows guests to take in the breathtaking views of mountains, forests, and terraced fields while savoring delicious local dishes. The friendly and attentive service adds to the charm of this restaurant, where English-speaking staff are ready to assist. Visitors often rave about the chicken curry and other specialty dishes that showcase a different side of Vietnamese cuisine.
Cozy spot with amazing coconut chicken! We had the coconut chicken at Yummy Restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious, rich, flavorful, and comforting. The best part? It was right next to our stay, making it super convenient. Great food, friendly service, and a nice local vibe. Highly recommend if you’re in Sapa!

The food was really good flavorful and satisfying! However, it took quite a while to be served. We waited over 30 minutes, and one of my friends even had to go downstairs to follow up on one of our orders. That said, we were still very happy with the meal overall. The staff kindly gave us complimentary fruits, which was a lovely touch. Despite the delay, the quality of the food made up for it. Worth a visit if you’re not in a rush!

I had the best meal here. I had shrimp in curry sauce in coconut and I have been saying “good, good, good” while devouring the entire dish. So I returned for the 2nd time and ordered Salmon in Passion Fruit sauce, to my surprise, the best dish just landed on my palette. It was just simply the best food I have eaten in the recent years. Considering I travel a lot and I am confidently exposed to international dishes. I would say that this restaurant is doing well in terms of competing in the international scene. Must try this when in Sa Pa. My watch don’t lie when my heart beats fast due to the delicious food.

Food was okay but not as “life changing delicious” as others would promote. The chicken coconut curry was creamy and light. I think they used chicken breasts so not much taste on the chicken but more from the sauce. It was okay/good. The beef in bamboo was disapponting. The beef was tough and very chewy despite being in small slices or cuts. The flavor is a bit charred and could have been delicious if they used better parts or fresher cut of meat. Hope they improve on it. We didnt bother finishing the beef after a few bites. Service was fast and attentive. Maybe about 10-15 mins before the food were served. Atomosphere was very homey and very local in vibe. Just a bit on the side of a narrow sloping road but its accessible.

On the way back from our exhausting 16km hike we stopped by this restaurant for some great food. The boss Mr Chien was super friendly & speak good English. He was so kind to give us a complimentary fruit platter after our meals! Tq 😃
Thomas Q — Google review
A young and enterprising owner, Chien is personable and welcoming. This was our 2nd visit to Yummy in 4 nights. The food did not disappoint. The restaurant has a happy hour 2-1 beer between 3 PM - 6PM. We ordered the Chicken Curry in Coconut (Their signature dish) which came with potatoes, carrots and eggplant all cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and the curry creamy and full of flavour. We ordered spinach with garlic which complemented the chicken well. We would highly recommend the Yummy Restaurant for quick and friendly service. Peter from Canada..

This place is honestly one of the best places we’ve eaten at in the whole of Vietnam - how it doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me (at least at the time of writing it doesn’t!) The staff are so cool and create a really good vibe and the music is decent. Me and my partner ate here twice and also got takeaway for our long bus journey ey out of Sa Pa for the next day. So in total we tried chicken ban mi (sandwich), chicken pizza but the best were the fried beef on bamboo and coconut chicken curry (literally served in a coconut!) Not surprised there are very good reviews - it lives up to the expectations. I can imagine it gets very busy when the weather is good, unfortunately we arrive not long after a typhoon and it was still raining a lot - you can tell the whole of Sa Pa is struggling with tourism because of this. Genuinely my favourite place in the whole of Sa Pa and potentially Vietnam but we haven’t finished our trip yet (although we’ve already been to Hà Nội and this is still our fav so far!)

Nhà Hàng Phố Mây is a popular spot known for its great local food and comfortable atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the grilled beef with lemongrass comes highly recommended. In addition to the superb skewers, the fried noodles and Pho are also worth trying. The restaurant offers an average Vietnamese store ambience and reasonable prices, making it a great choice for those looking to enjoy delicious local cuisine in a welcoming setting.
I am crazy in love with BBQ. The first day I arrived in Sa Pa, I immediately looked for a place to eat BBQ and I came here because I believed the reviews on Google Maps. I have to admit this is one of the best Beef BBQ! The portion is big! I thought I would feel like it wasn't enough and would want more (cause I usually eat all u can eat) but I ended up feeling so full and satisfied! Excellent!

The food is excellent and served in generous portions. The atmosphere is great, with a nice view of the street and people-watching. On top of that, the staff are very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth both the time and money.

Pho Ga is very nice. Per my experience having Pho Ga from many shops across the Vietnam, I will vote for this shop. Portion is also big with lots of chicken slide. Salmon spring rolls is okay. Good thing is there is no fish bone. Service is okay except the cashier! I asked if they accept credit card to the waitress. She heard that and yelled out to me!!! Bad behavior. Just tell me I can pay by cash.

Got the steak Banh mi and it was amazing, not just little bits of meat but full strips of steak cooked to perfection. Came with chips too which is a plus! Can only imagine how amazing the bbq would be!

Our first dinner in Sapa so we of course had to have the salmon hot pot. The staff were lovely and talked us through the cooking times so that we could cook our hotpot to perfection. A lovely and cosy dinner :-)

My wife and I ordered combo 2 which came with various dishes including meat, kimchi and cheese fries. The service was exceptional and the staff were very attentive to our needs. Suggestions given were also helpful. If anyone would like to try something more local, go for their plum or apple wine. You will not regret it.

Cho Tinh Quan, situated at 22 Ngu Chi Son Street in Sapa, offers a delightful escape from the bustling crowds of the town. The restaurant prides itself on a diverse menu featuring regional specialties such as lemongrass and lemon salmon, fried salmon with oolong tea, sturgeon with tom yum sauce, and black chicken cooked with pumpkin.
A place were huge groups gather for dinner. We were 2 coming in for late dinner. Polite and helpful staff. We enjoyed our dinne witj, fried bamboo shoot, horse meat on hot stone and fried sticky rice with horse meat. Everything was tasty and delicious, especially the fried sticky rice. It only serves at weekends so it was told. Note that it is fried so could be a bit oily.
Robert H — Google review
This came highly recommended by a local. The salmon slices for the hotpot was fresh but was not fully rid of the bones which made the eating experience a bit troublesome when you bite into small bones in almost every slice. Sturgeon sashimi was fresh, no problems the next day after eating it. The hotpot soup is quite gritty with bits of chopped lemongrass throughout the soup which I didn’t really enjoy.
Lola L — Google review
Amazing sturgeon sashimi and salmon+sturgeon hotpot. The cartilage of the sturgeons in the hotpot is so satisfying to chew! The sashimi was not disappointing too. Friendly staff and good services. Their tissues even smell like cinnamon 😍 For 2 people, overall portion was super enough but possible to finish. Recommended! Good view as well!

The pizza was delicious, with lots of cheese. The pasta was delicious. The pumpkin soup was rich and hearty. I highly recommend everyone to dine here!
JarJarBinks B — Google review
The best was the sweet potatoes. The salmon was tasteless, nothing at all and full of fishbone, you couldn't even appreciate the bites... I think is because of their captivity raising way. The pork was very average. The vibe of the restaurant didn't match with the quality of the food. Very expensive for such a tasteless meal. Would comeback for the sweet fries though
Luís T — Google review
Ordered sturgeon hotpot full of vegetables. Sashimi fresh but got bone, be careful when you eat. Fried rice overall oily and lacks the wok hey. Horse meat was excellent though and tasted like chicken. Should try the horse meat though oily. Slight pricey but ok.Place is big and quiet.

Went there on a weekday. There a 2 tour groups around and few walk in. The tour group has made the place very noisy. The restaurant should move them to the upper floor for them to keep themselves entertained. Service is slow and we have to keep calling the service staffs and repeatedly reminding them to bring chili, spoon and drinks for us.

This was the 1st restaurant we have visited in Sapa and the atmosphere here was pleasant. Food was yummy and authentic. We have tried salmon rolls , pumpkin chicken, potato wedges, strogen fish roast , rice etc. We loved everything.

This dish features a Black chicken simmered with herbs and red dates inside a whole pumpkin. The soften pumpkin infused the soup with it's earthy sweetness as well as the well cook chicken, providing a satisfying and healthy meal. A must try signature dish at this restaurant.

5 Nov 2025 lunch O Quy Ho Sa Pa Restaurant is famous for their pumpkin soup. We came here to try because of the good reviews. We ordered Ngon Su Su Xao (佛手瓜苗/龙须菜 Stir-fried Chayote, 65k), Nga den u bi guo (黑鸡南瓜浓汤 Black chicken pumpkin soup, 415k), Steam rice (30k), Mineral Water (10k). They served the dishes quickly and in really big portion. Thankfully I didn't order too many dishes. Very satisfying meal! The female staff were generally more smiley 🙂and pleasant, as compared to the male staff. They accepted Mastercard payment without 3% surcharge.

It was our last night in Sapa and we wanted a meal to remember. We were at the attached coffee shop having tea (very recommended) when we decided to look at the dinner menu. We were instantly drawn to the black chicken in squash. We weren't disappointed. We accompanied it with a spring roll and some extra rice. The whole meal was delicious. We wanted to stay and have a few drinks around the open fire pit but we had to catch a shuttle for the train out of Lao Cai. It was a chilly night and the hostess was so thoughtful and gave us some hand warmers!! If anyone hasn't visited O Quy Ho yet, get there before your last day... you'll want to stay for a while!

Overall a great experience here. Staff were friendly and helpful in advising us on what to order as a party of three. Even told us that we were probably ordering too much lol. The pumpkin chicken dish was really good for the soul in the cold weather (around December time). I recommend the fried wild boar dish. It’s a little gamy towards the end but it’s worth a try at a new place :)

Nhà Hàng Hải Lâm SaPa is a renowned dining spot in Sapa, Vietnam, known for its delectable grilled dishes and diverse menu. Over the four years of operation, it has gained high praise for its quality food offerings. The restaurant's rich menu features specialties from the mountainous region such as grilled sturgeon with snow salt, grilled chicken with bamboo tube, and fried rice.
Great signature food compared to other restaurants in Sapa. They have moved to a new bigger place in the center. Parking is a bit tricky, it’s located a few hundreds meters from the restaurant and a staff will bring the driver back by motorbike. It’s inconvenient when raining. Also, need to book in advance for weekend as it’s always packed. Highly recommend all their menu.
Anh V — Google review
It was an ok meal and we felt it was a bit overpriced for what they offer. Grilled chicken was delicious, although my wife mentioned it and I agree with her, we've had better. Salmon soup was ok, but not too special.
Val G — Google review
Well what an interesting night I had here, I will start by saying the food is okay. Expensive for Sa Pa however. We rode our motorbike into town, and parked in there went walking for a few hours then came back to this restaurant because it was across from our motorbike. Well, to start with the restaurant is absolutely filthy. Second of all the service is quite bad, had to continually ask for items of food and drinks that we had ordered that they forgot to bring us and cutlery which they did not supply. But the two things that were the most disgusting about this place is that the workers here actually tried to steal be helmets of our motorbike and were trying to unlock the motorbike, please see the attached photos. They did not realise it was our motorbike when they realise we were filming them. They then pretended to dance and joke around about it. We told the staff which we got no reply. Also my partner who speaks fluent Vietnamese as being a local self was translating what they were saying about us whilst we were sitting in the restaurant which I can say is unsavoury at best. The workers of the restaurant would come to the balcony where we were sitting and Ogle the women Down below and make comments about their weight and attractiveness in Vietnamese. This restaurant is absolutely disgusting. the staff that tried to touch our motor motorbike ride it and steal the helmets off, the staff should be fired. Please see attached video of the staff touching our motorbike. Also see the filth on the table. Also see the two staff standing over our dinner (we are on the left, making sexualised comments of people) whilst we where attempting to enjoy our meal
Lachy M — Google review
Restaurant was recommended by our driver. At first glance, the front looks inviting but entrance area after the first few steps was messy. That's not a good sign. The place was mostly empty with a handful of customers since it's in the middle of the week. We got a seat upstairs, and ordered immediately. The stir fry vegetables were brought out quickly. 15+ minutes goes by and we asked what happened to the other items. Someone must have forgotten our order or something got misplaced. Another waiter brought out the stir fry again and saw that we had it already and took it back to the kitchen. 😁😆😂 Good atmosphere and decorations with a beautiful view of the lake across the street. Food was good overall but nothing special. Points of improvements: need better organization on slower days so this doesn't happen. Perhaps offer several different dipping sauces for the chicken.
Sua T — Google review
Shady restaurant. Would avoid Showed Up on a Sunday and was told that only grilled chicken and salmon hot pot available. So be it. Let’s try. Asked for the salmon hot pot for four people and the menu displayed 150k but was told it would be 800k. Not a fan of bait and switch. Anyway it’s surrounded by many other options. So decided not to find out what other shady dealings this place had and noped the heck out of there
Calvin N — Google review
My recent dining experience at Nhà Hàng Hải Lâm Sa Pa left much to be desired. While the restaurant boasts a charming ambiance and promises of delectable cuisine, my visit was marred by a concerning incident that I feel compelled to share. Upon enjoying a meal of sturgeon hotpot, my husband and I encountered a troubling situation during the settling of our bill. Despite tendering an amount well above our total, we were met with resistance and accusations of underpayment from the staff. The ensuing confrontation revealed a blatant attempt at deception, with the cashier insisting on a lower amount than what we had provided. Despite our efforts to resolve the issue, including reviewing CCTV footage that clearly contradicted the cashier's claims, we were unable to reach a satisfactory conclusion. This experience left a sour taste in our mouths and overshadowed any enjoyment we derived from the meal. It's disheartening to encounter such dishonest practices, especially in a tourist destination like Sapa. I urge fellow diners to exercise caution when patronizing Nhà Hàng Hải Lâm Sa Pa or any establishment in the area. While the food may be appealing, the integrity of the staff leaves much to be desired. Proceed with caution and be vigilant to avoid falling victim to similar scams.
Charlie G — Google review
This place was recommended to us by our hotel. After backpacking south east Asia for 6 months, we have never not finished a meal. We did not finish our meals. The first photo is the chicken we got, the second is the photo. The chicken was as rubbery as a toy chicken. The second set is the fish with passion fruit. It was far too sour. The third set were the fries. Do they look at all like the photo? Last but not least, we were charged 900,000. This has been the most expensive meal for two people we have had in the last 4 months. Including Japan. Extremely disappointed. From the photo of the kitchen you can see that it is run by teens and explains the quality of the food.
Saurabh S — Google review
This is not really an interesting restaurant in Sa Pa; overall, there is nothing special about this place compared to others in town. The food quality is at the middle level, maybe they have limited opportunities to improve their skills? The signature grilled chicken with green pepper sauce is great, in my opinion, but a little bit too sweet for my family. The plate of pork served in different ways is expensive compared with the price and the amount of food.

If I could give less stars for service, I would. We arrived off the bus and were tired and hadn’t had a chance to look for a good restaurant. We saw a big group come out of this place so thought we would give it a try. Bad choice. The food was more expensive than it should be for what it is, but like I said we were hungry so we ordered anyway. We ordered spring rolls and pork fried rice with 2 coffees. I asked to check the bill as I saw he had added more things to the bill and I reiterated what we wanted. He said yeah yeah I’ve got it in a frustrated tone and walked away. then we received food we didn’t order. I thought whatever I guess he put that down instead of the thing we did order, we will just eat it. Then 10 mins later the spring rolls we DID order came out and we had to pay for all. Fine - we ate it we will pay. The food was beyond terrible, I have nothing more to say on that matter. Now the service. Besides the ordering part, I calculated how much the bill should be based on the menu and took my money up in a larger bill. I get handed a bill over 100.000 dong more expensive than our order, with dishes that were not what we ordered, thought they had similar names they were more expensive. Before you think maybe they gave us another bill - no it was a freshly printed bill and we were the only people in the restaurant. I asked her to fix the items that were wrong and it still managed to be 20.000 dong more expensive. Whatever, I let it go and handed her my money. When handing me the change she handed me 10.000 less than what I was owed and I again had to correct her. The whole process felt like they were trying to cheat us out of some money hoping we wouldn’t notice. Wouldn’t recommend.
Brooke N — Google review
Absolutely great experience. Despite absolutely no English skills they managed to understand our pretty complex orders and other requests after we gave them a phone with a Google translate version of what we requested. The young girls serving people in the restaurant smiled as big smiles as they could and nodded so enthusiastically. Food on top of that tasted very good. Best fried rice so far in Vietnam. Not expensive. However; keep your jacket on in here when it's cold outside!!

Epic spot if you've just arrived in Sa Pa and you're not 100% on where to go. It's out of the madness of the centre street and the food is exceptional. Staff are super helpful and polite. Affordable prices and great alpine sort of food if you crave that. My pick would be the Vietnamese Beef Stew with Baguette bread to dip. Then for sides you have to grab the fried vegetable spring rolls - best in the region imo.

Nicely done beef hotplate and also very tasty coconut curry. This Vietnamese curry is not spicy, very uniquely Vietnamese. Not close to Indian curry, Japanese curry or Chinese curry. Have to give it a try! Oh! Not to forget, the coconut flesh was so soft too, not those tough ones. Highly recommend!

Good Morning View Restaurant is a charming Vietnamese eatery located in Sapa, featuring a cozy space with traditional straw roofing and colorful ethnic fabrics. The menu offers an array of delectable options including freshwater fish, grilled meats, spring rolls, chicken curry, and more. Visitors often praise the restaurant for its inviting ambiance and dedicated service. It's a great spot to unwind after exploring the bustling town or before embarking on mountain adventures.
Wow!! This restaurant was wonderful. We would come back constantly during our time in Sapa, and for good reason. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible and very fairly priced. I tried other dishes closer to the centre of Sapa and they were not as flavourful and were more expensive. If you visit this restaurant you have to try the fried Sapa trout spring rolls, the farmers meal (grilled pork with bamboo sticky rice), egg coffee, or their pumpkin soup! (I will never have soup that good again) If you are in Sapa this restaurant must be on your list of places to eat, or even just to try the egg coffee! Thank you Good Morning View for making my time in Sapa even more special❤️

When people mention Vietnam, they often think about scammers or negative experiences. But for us, it was completely different — our trip was amazing. The people were so kind. Even when we tried to order large portions or too many dishes, they gently reminded us, “That might be too much.” I really appreciated that. It felt so dreamy to enjoy hotpot and incredibly fresh dishes in the cool, misty weather — it was perfect. I loved it all: the vibe, the vegetables, the food, the walks — everything about this place was just wonderful. The cat was a bonus there 😻

Had bun cha and grilled pork skewers. Look, I don't think food is a strong point in all of Sapa so I wouldn't say I was blown away by the food. Probably a 7.5-8/10. Coconut coffee looks and tastes amazing. Would recommend. The 5 star review comes from the hospitality and service provided. The uncle who served us seemed genuinely focused on providing guests with a pleasant meal. You could sense his humbleness from the getgo

So good I ate here twice. The deep fried salted chicken with lemongrass was very tasty and some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. The Bun Cha was insanely tasty and a very generous portion. The spring rolls that came with it were beautiful and flakey and packed with filling. There's a wonderful view from the upstairs balcony area where you can eat and watch the world go by. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I just wish I had found this place earlier in my trip, I would have eaten here every day. The best food i had in Sapa. 11/10.

Super tasty food. We had the chicken with lemongrass and chili, chicken curry in coconut and fresh spring rolls. Nice view, and you can sit out on the balcony. The staff were really friendly and spoke good English. Totally recommend!

Every time I’ve walked by during my 3 week stay in Sapa this place seemed busy. I finally decided to stop by to see why. I was greeted at the door by a woman with a huge smile. I felt very welcomed. I ordered a watermelon juice, mango smoothie, the Tribal salted chicken with lemongrass and the chicken curry for take away. OMG…. both dishes were fresh/made to order and soooo flavorful! The chicken was seasoned to perfection! I have had some really tasty meals during my stay; however, this was by far the best. So much so that I returned the next day and ordered the salted chicken again along with the deep fried honey glazed chicken. 10/10 highly recommend!!

Amazing Veggie food. My partner and I are both veggies and that can sometimes be difficult to find good, thoughtful food. We shared the sizzling pan tofu and veggie noodles and it was so flavoursome. The tofu was beautiful. Very impressed by it. Very nice owner and team as well. Highly recommend. Cheers

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We tried the stir-fried morning glory with beef and the chicken on a hotplate — both dishes were flavorful and very satisfying.

Nestled on the ground floor of the Aliana Boutique Sapa hotel, Aliana Sapa Restaurant & Bar offers a luxurious and contemporary setting with two wood-burning fireplaces. This top-rated fine dining establishment provides guests with an exceptional experience, allowing them to savor gourmet Vietnamese cuisine while taking in stunning views of the valley and mountains. The restaurant boasts a wide range of wines to complement its delectable four-star dishes.
Located at Aliana hotel, the view from the restaurant is amazing. Its walking distance from the city center. At evening time the weather outside was simply amazing. Restaurant was excellent in terms of the portion, taste of food and the cost. Breakfast spread was good, both local and western. We had breakfast, lunch and dinners there. After a few visits, we got a 10% discount on subsequent orders at the restaurant. The staff were also very helpful and gave us suggestion on what to eat which did not disappoint. Highly recommended !

Lovely hotel. We are very thankful for its existence. It was literally our life saver during our stay in Sa Pa. The food prepared at their restaurant was the best Vietnamese food we have had during our stay in Vietnam. We so much liked the food that we always returned from outside to have our lunch there and then we went out again. We used booking.com and had family rooms: 2 interconnected rooms. Each room Had a minibar and it was replenished free of charge every time Housekeeping was invited to clean the room. The beds were very comfortable. The biggest asset of this hotel are the staff. Absolutely all the staff were super pleasant and very professional. They all understood well English which is not so common in Vietnam. River, at the reception was our star. She even pre-ordered our dinner the first day we arrived in Sa Pa. I wish we could have stayed longer at this hotel. We loved the fact that the hotel was not in the heart of the city since it was much quieter and we also had the best possible view one could ask for(well, when the clouds cleared). Fresh air and delicious food. The massages we had at their spa were some of the best we have ever had. Thank you to the whole team of Aliana hotel.

The restaurant and bar at Aliana is fantastic! During our stay, my wife and I ended up eating here multiple times because everything was consistently delicious. The ingredients are super fresh, the portion sizes are generous, and the whole atmosphere is perfect - especially on a rainy or foggy day when you just want to stay in and relax. Highly recommended!

Aliana is beautiful hotel. Rooms are clean and every thing inside it beautiful kept. Ceramic bottles of shampoo, pots. Room service is super. The most I like is the behaviour of staff. Understanding of details and then responding, i really appreciate it. Food was amazing. I would definitely recommend and would come to Aliana if i visit again to Sapa.

A Perfect Stay in the Mountains of Sapa Here’s a reworded version of your message with improved flow and clarity, while keeping the warmth and personal tone: ⸻ We arrived in the early hours of the morning after taking the overnight train from (Po) to Sapa. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and treated to a delicious breakfast. The selection of fresh produce and made-to-order dishes was both refreshing and satisfying. The staff in the dining room were incredibly attentive, and the rooms were spotless and thoughtfully arranged. We had connecting balconies with our daughter’s room, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains—absolutely stunning. The in-room amenities were excellent, including cozy nightgowns and slippers, which made our stay feel even more special. A special mention goes to Lien Chan at reception, who was incredibly helpful in guiding us to explore the local area without the need for a tour guide. She gave us recommendations for four fantastic spots to visit, all easily reached by taxi. Her advice made a huge difference to our experience. Thank you to Lien and the entire team for making our stay truly unforgettable. 💚☘️

The Aliana is built on the side of the mountain. The wood is hardy and strong, like the people who have always lived here. Inside, the air is cool. The lights are soft and the windows are open to the night. Across the valley, the lights of Sapa are scattered like stars below. You feel the height. The Hmong women pass by on the road, their indigo clothes a deeper shade in the twilight, their laughter carrying. They are part of this land, as hard and enduring as the stone. You see their strength and you respect it. Order the Passion Mojito. It is not a simple drink. The local passion fruit, sharp and sweet, fights with the mint and the rum. It is a drink with a spine. Or, have the Bombay Gin and Tonic. They make it properly. The juniper is clean and the quinine bite is honest. It is a drink for looking at the mountains and thinking. A man named Tuan tends the bar. He is quiet and his eyes miss nothing. He sees the glass is empty and it is filled. He understands a man’s need for silence. He is good at his work. It is a place of good wood and strong drinks. The mountains are old. The people are proud. You sit and you drink and for a time, you are part of it. Then you pay the bill and you walk out into the cool, dark air. It was a good place to be.
Kirk S — Google review
The food here was amazing, great portions too. The cocktails are great, they can make basically any classic cocktail as well as some signature ones. Also the host was amazing. They had a lot of time for us and he really took the time to get to know us and hear the story of our journey through Vietnam. I would definitely come back and recommend everyone to eat here.

This vegan restaurant in Sapa specializes in providing dishes that are 100% vegan, with local ingredients from ethnic villages. They've been open during Tet holiday and have served many people who were looking for a place to eat without any animal products. The woman who owns and operates the restaurant is very welcoming and accommodating, and the food is delicious. Prices are reasonable, making it an ideal place to visit if you're looking for something different than the typical Vietnamese fare.
I had an amazing dinner there. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is special, you’re eating and at the same time you meet all the people that are living here, it’s very authentic! I recommend this place!!

Come eat here! If you are looking for some really good vegetarian/vegan food you will be so happy here! The food at Hoa Tam Vegetarian restaurant is fantastic. We had tofu patties - yes! So good. We also had boiled vegetables, and mushrooms in this sauce that was just amazing! They have a large menu, cold beer, and the family that owns this restaurant are just wonderful. The prices are affordable and they give you a large quantity of food! We will continue to come here to eat! Thank you! For more adventures follow us @eyecool on youtube.

Excellent!! Service, food and portions are all great! Pricing is humble too. First time eating here and we ordered Vegetable noodle soup with tofu (Pho), taro cake and grilled meat (tofu). Noodle soup was full of flavour. Words fall short of the quality and taste of everything we ate. Will definitely go back till we are in sapa. Go here with big appetite! This lady is one hell of a cook !! Big thumbs up 👍🏻

I found the most delicious vegetarian food in Sapa at this restaurant. I went there 3 days in a row. However, the way to this vegetarian restaurant is challenging but the surrounding scenery is beautiful and windy. I walked for about 20 minutes from the Sapa town before being rewarded with delicious vegetarian meals. I have tried variety of food from the menu. They are all very delicious

Sang Meo Restaurant is a charming eatery located in the heart of Sapa, near the Sapa Stone Church. The restaurant boasts a unique bamboo-themed architecture that exudes a mountainous ambiance, complemented by warm yellow lamps and a black ceiling with yellow lights to create a cozy atmosphere. This establishment offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience with two menus catering to different preferences. The dishes feature fresh, high-quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors.
Sang Meo Restaurant – Cozy Spot for a Tasty Sapa Feast 🍲🥩🍟 We had dinner at Sang Meo and really enjoyed the experience! The sturgeon hot pot 🐟🔥 was fresh and flavorful, the grilled pork 🥩 tender and juicy, and even the floating chips 🍟 were a fun and tasty surprise. All the local dishes 🥗 were well-prepared, portions generous, and prices 💰 very reasonable. The space is spacious 🏠 and comfortable, perfect for groups or parties 🎉. The staff were friendly and hospitable 😊 — even though the captain was clearly busy managing other tables, he still made sure our food arrived on time ⏱️ and hot 🍲. A great choice in Sapa for both lunch 🌞 and dinner 🌙 if you want delicious local flavors, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere.

I had the stir-fried duck infused with ginger and lemongrass, accompanied by a serving of rice. One shouldn’t anticipate a lean duck breast; however, the dish is lavishly adorned with an abundance of onions and fragrant lemongrass. Oh, and only cash payment. They have a nice downtown view tho.

We came here for lunch and were warmly greeted by the manager the moment we walked in — such a great first impression! The service was excellent and very attentive throughout our meal. The food was delicious, especially the black chicken stew in pumpkin — absolutely the highlight of our lunch. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the wonderful hospitality!

Food quantity was good. Food quality was alright. I asked for a hot latte and the first time I was given a cold chocolate milk. Asked again and then they gave me a more watered down version (still cold) of the same thing. I think for them “hot” just meant no ice 🤷‍♂️. Anyways, avocado smoothie was just okay.

Yes they are clean, food taste good, not too salty not too plain, they do not have baby sit or wet tissue. U should go ahead lunch or dinner time around 30mins to get a table and get the food served quickly.

Everything was pretty average here. The beef fried rice we had was mostly rice as they used minced beef. The salmon spring roll was decent but I find that the corn meal coating a little thick. The nicest dish was the cayote vege stir fry but because it was interesting. Other than that, nothing to shout about. Service was quite non-existent and the lady boss was just talking at the top of her voice on the phone the whole time when we were there.

Good Morning Vietnam is a cozy and quality restaurant located in the Northwest region. The small yet inviting space creates a comfortable atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meals. With a unique reggae vibe, this restaurant offers delicious and reasonably priced Vietnamese dishes, including options for vegetarians. The friendly staff ensures quick service, delivering hot and generous portions of food.
The Google reviews were quite spot on! The Egg coffee and Chicken curry in coconut were good, same with the ginger tea. We saw the owner chatting up a customer. A quaint place with good local food. Their teas are all home made brews.

This was one of the highest-rated restaurants in Sapa, and I didn’t want to miss it on our trip. I’m so glad we made it here for lunch as a family after a tiring walk back from Cat Cat Village. We were warmly welcomed by the owner himself, who instantly made us feel at home. Our children were exhausted and went straight for drinks and ice cream, which they could easily choose from the menu options also available in English. For mains, we ordered vegetable fried rice and pork fried rice, while the kids enjoyed burgers. Both fried rice variations were full of flavour, with delightful textures and aromatic spices. The children also loved the burger & fries. The staff spoke excellent English and served our food quickly. We initially missed the famous coconut chicken curry we’d read about in other reviews, but decided to try it anyway — and we were so glad we did! Its aroma and flavour brought back memories of traditional cooking from our homeland and in the end we also scooped out the tender coconut flesh, which was just as tasty. The restaurant’s wooden-panel décor, open layout, and plentiful fans made the ambience very comfortable. We left with full hearts and full stomachs — truly a memorable dining experience.

We had read some good reviews and weren’t disappointed. The seafood spring rolls were great and the aubergine and tofu also pretty good. But the highlight was the duck curry served in a coconut. It was really tasty and the duck was pretty succulent. Owner was very friendly and chatty, and speaks good English. Would go again if we ever visit Sapa again.

November 2025: I am a Level 7 contributor (>400 reviews) on Google and regularly review eateries and experiences both in Asia and Melbourne to give an unbiased opinion. I came here for lunch after a spa session at Halosa Spa. From the reviews that I have read, I decided to go with the chicken curry served in a coconut and a plate of fried chayote with garlic. I was impressed with both dishes. The curry was mild and the chayote leaves were young and tender. The owner was very engaging and I started to ask him if the coconut chicken curry was unique to Sa Pa. He said that they came up with the idea first, which I believe. My lunch came up to 255k VND, and it was very filling. I highly recommend this restaurant for visitors to Sa Pa.

We enjoyed lunch at this café, ordered pumpkin soup, garlic bread, vegetarian coconut curry, and cold coffee. The coconut curry comes highly recommended. You can customize your meal with vegetarian or non-vegetarian options according to your preference. If you like spicy food, just ask them to make it spicier. It’s a great spot with delicious food and a lovely view

There’s a reason why they’re #1 on trip advisor! Went back thrice during our trip to Sapa, twice to dine and once to get beverages. Highly recommend their fried spring rolls, bun cha, seafood fried rice, cream tagliatelle with mushrooms (tasted a bit bland at first but flavour was perfect after adding the cheese that they gave on the side) and the lemon & honey drink. The fried rice was incredibly tasty with a hint of wok hey! Service was attentive and the waitress even offered to add more lemon when I was tasting the honey lemon drink. Honestly, even the pumpkin soup was great and definitely did not taste like canned soup.

Mẩy Quán - Tinh Hoa Ẩm Thực Sapa is a highly recommended spot for experiencing local Sapa cuisine. The restaurant specializes in dishes like horse meat, black chicken, and fish. A popular choice is the black chicken hotpot with vegetables, known for its sweet, slightly sour clear broth that's perfect after a long day of traveling. The friendly staff are attentive and provide clear explanations of the menu.
Excellent black chicken hot pot, perfect for bad weather. The chicken might look unusual but it's very tasty, not fat and nutritious (even better than normal chicken). For two people, a hot pot and fried potatoes is plenty of food and a great value. Highly satisfied!

Beautiful restaurant but food is bland and expensive. Chicken is hard to chew and no taste. Sturgeon fish is overrated and tastes fishy with lots of bones. Drinks were the only good thing. Vietnam has too many fake reviews, read the ones from people with over 10 reviews.

Must-try! Doesn't disappoint. My absolute fave new place to dine in Sapa right along the bright and vibrant Xian Vien, across the corniche. Food, ambiance, aesthetic, service -- simply the best. Wait staff speaks a bit of English (we Google translated) but the fluent floor manager actively walked the floor for anything you need. We picked a nice table close to the balcony overlooking the busy street. It was a real vibe, leaving plenty of room for photos and videos. We had the salmon spring roll, pork stir fry, salmon soup, rice as main dish, and a plate of fries with rounds of passionfruit juices for starters. Chef's kiss!

The restaurant is really nice and thoughtfully decorated. However, the food was a bit mid. We had the traditional chicken pumpkin stew and while the pumpkin broth was good the chicken was overcooked and in general the food was lacking flavor, there are better places to go in Sapa.

Restaurant
Nestled on the lively main street of Sapa, Casa Italia Pizza Restaurant is a charming escape for those seeking a taste of Italy amidst their culinary adventures. This cozy eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with tasteful decor, making it perfect for family gatherings or casual outings with friends. The menu features an array of authentic Italian dishes, including wood-fired pizzas crafted from hand-made semolina dough that delivers an exceptional flavor experience.
I ended up here after getting a bit tired of Vietnamese food and started looking on Google Maps for something different — and this place showed up with really solid reviews. I decided to go for takeaway and ordered their four cheese pizza, and wow — it was so good! Not exaggerating. One of the friendly staff members recommended eating the pizza with honey, and they even gave me a small honey dip for free. The honey was super aromatic and surprisingly paired perfectly with all the cheeses. Honestly, trying pizza this way was one of the best food decisions I made on this trip. The restaurant itself actually looked really cozy, with a charming and unique interior. It’s a bit of a shame I didn’t dine in, but I was just too tired and wanted to head back to the hotel. If you’re in Sapa and craving something cheesy and comforting, this place is definitely worth a try!

I had a lovely meal at Casa Italia in Sapa. The outdoor balcony seating was a highlight, offering a cozy atmosphere with charming views of the surrounding area. I ordered several dishes including a delicious chicken parmesan, a hearty burger, a flavorful mushroom pizza, and some crispy appetizers—all of which were beautifully presented and tasted great. The service was excellent; staff were friendly and attentive, and they followed every request precisely. It’s clear they take customer satisfaction seriously.

Had lunch at the Casa Italia Pizza restaurant. They have a nice restaurant inside but we decided to sit by the road (al fresco) to soak in the atmosphere. Ordered the bruchetta, ham pizza, a roasted chestnut soup. All were not too bad. The soup had a strong milky taste which some may not like. But it was ok for me. Pizza was alright and the bruchetta was tasty. For drinks, we had the hibiscus lychee tea and a pineapple juice. Both drinks were really nice. I have never drank such flavourful pineapple juice before. Service was excellent, attentive and all could speak Eng. Food also came promptly. Price is slightly on the high side for these food but as tourist we were ok with it. And the ambience was great, we loved it.

Looking for a real pizza, we decided to try Casa Italia Pizza Restaurant. The place is cozy, very spacious, and offers a wide and varied menu. We started with a focaccia as an appetizer — really tasty — and then had a salami pizza and a chorizo pizza. The dough was very good, well-risen, and flavorful. The only small remark is about the mozzarella: it’s not very stretchy, but rather more compact and thick. However, this doesn’t affect the overall quality — the pizza remains very good. The draft beer (only Saigon available) was fresh and enjoyable, while the bottled beer was unfortunately at room temperature. We’re not sure if that’s their usual practice or just a one-time thing, as it was already 1:30 PM and the restaurant had been open for a while and all beer should be fresh (personal opinion) Overall, a good choice if you’re looking for a nice pizza in Sa Pa. Recommended!

Aye, and it was in that remote and mist-veiled province of SaPa, where the spectral peaks of the Hoàng Liên Son brood over the valleys, that I chanced upon a most singular haven: Casa Italia. Its door, a weathered timber, seemed a portal unto another world, far removed from the clamour of Asiatic fowls and the pungent aroma of phở. Upon crossing its threshold, I was met not by the chill of the highlands, but by a warmth most palpable, as of an Italian grandmother’s silent and encompassing hug—a solace woven from the very air of the place. The heart of this sanctuary, and the source of its genial spirit, was a great brick oven, within whose fiery belly the logs crackled a low, primeval hymn. From this forge emerged the pizzas, their crusts blistered and charred by a most virtuous flame, bearing a scent that spake of the old earth and simple flour. One could not but behold the warm glow of that oven playing upon the features of the pizzaiolo, a man whose solemn devotion to his craft was like unto a priest at his altar. To accompany this manna, I was served a Chianti, a draught of a most sanguine hue, whose rustic notes of dark cherry and dry soil upon the tongue conjured visions of sun-drenched Tuscan hills, a world and an age away from the Vietnamese fog that clung to the windows. There, in the soft luminescence of the hanging lamps, amidst the murmur of contented travellers and the faint melody of a mandolin, I partook of my meal. The cheese, stretched and milky, the tomato, bright as a summer morn, and the basil, a fragrant herb, all conspired upon that charred canvas to create a profound and simple truth. In that high, foreign land, Casa Italia doth not merely serve sustenance; it offers a gentle reprieve, a memory of a hearth one never knew, yet forever missed. It is a blessing to the weary soul, a vesper sung against the encroaching dark.

Cold steak and no utensils to eat with so ice cold by the time the utensils asked for arrived. Pizza was fine. Never received the drink with the combo but it wasn't worth waiting to sort that out with the slow service. There were only 2 tables other than us. Not very friendly either except the ladies who had to run up and down the hotel bringing food from outside. Not sure food is even made there. Prices also too high.

Awful, ordered minestrone soup, took 40 minutes to come and wasn't minestrone soup at all, just a plain bland vegetable soup,

Viet Home Restaurant Sapa is a unique dining spot in the area, offering a fusion of Vietnamese and European cuisines alongside traditional Sapa specialties. Located on Fansipan Street, this cozy restaurant provides attentive service and a diverse menu. One of its highlights is the enticing salmon hotpot, recommended for two people. Despite slightly higher prices, visitors are guaranteed savory dishes and friendly service.
We really enjoyed it. Everything was very delicious and fresh. The atmosphere inside was cozy and felt like home. It felt like we were their personal guests. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. We highly recommend this café 😊

Hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant in Sapa! We loved it so much we went back a second time. The food was authentic, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. The friendly chef even customized the dishes for us on the spot when she realized we were returning guests — such a thoughtful touch!

We had the salmon hotpot, beef stir fry, and vietnamese spring rolls with meat -- all were good for sharing and could serve upto 4 people. All the food we tried were tasty and served quickly. The owner was also very warm and accommodating and gives great recommendations. The place is good for solo travellers, couples or groups.

If you visit Sapa, do yourself a favour and come to this restaurant. The food is fresh, full of flavour and the portions are generous . The owner and chef, Sung is really friendly and attentive. We ate here 3 times during our stay in Sapa. On our last night we got to enjoy her specialty - Sapa salmon hot pot. Amazing! This is really the best food we’ve had in Vietnam.

Such a lovely restaurant and wonderful lady running it - so good we came back a second time! It's just off the main streets and feels really quiet and relaxed. We had hot pot and it was truly delicious. Easily the best restaurant food we've had in Vietnam.

We loved the spring rolls so much that we ordered them twice. The pumpkin soup was also good. The omelette was slightly disappointing but still very good. The lemon juice (without honey) was also nice My girlfriend was sick the following day but we ate the same thing (apart from the pumpkin soup) so we can't really know where from. Just saying this in case. And the food was still very nice 😂

Nhà Hàng Liên Tôn is a well-known spot in Sapa, situated conveniently in the city center with three spacious facades. It's a popular choice for tourists seeking delicious local cuisine and breathtaking natural views. The restaurant offers a variety of delectable dishes, with the pork, fried rice, and sauce being highly recommended. However, it's advised to avoid ordering fish when dining in the mountains.
If you're smart about what you're getting you can get an amazingly delicious fiest here. (Like never order fish in the mountains for start) My favourite was the pork together with fried rice and sauce 🤤 but the fried Chicken blew past all the expectations. If you're not an experienced traveller and want a good meal just show the photos from this review and you're sure not to go wrong. Also, initially we got placed next to very loud music and after complaining we got moved to the next level where it was only us and nice and quiet after a long drive up.
Edgars P — Google review
Having living fish in a basin on the street - fine by me. But was shocked today when we saw that someone from the restaurant just took fishes out from there, threw them on the pavement and let them lie there for quite some time before finally killing them. Totally unnecessary, simply animal cruelty to me. And questionable regarding food safety/hygiene as well I guess …

Nhà Hàng Cá Hồi Vua Sapa is a paradise for those who love salmon, offering an array of delectable dishes featuring this sought-after fish. The restaurant showcases the versatility of fresh salmon through steamed, grilled, salad, and spring roll options. Guests can also savor salmon hotpot and porridge, each expertly prepared to perfection. The hotpot is served with tofu, beancurd, pineapple, veggies and noodles.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. We were helped by Tươi who is very friendly and accommodating. The sturgeon hot pot was delicious. Highly recommend the Crispy Salmon too. Definitely recommend you giving this restaurant a try. 👍🏼

We had such a wonderful experience at Cá Hồi Vua! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us, even though we’re tourists and don’t speak Vietnamese. Their kindness made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely amazing — the salad was fresh, flavorful, and a generous portion. But the highlight was definitely the salmon — without exaggeration, it was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly cooked, rich in taste, and paired beautifully with the mushrooms, which were also delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting — both for the warm hospitality and the unforgettable food!

MUST TRY FOOD IN SAPA. Super delicious, nice price and service. Recommend sturgeon hot pot, corn rice wine. sturgeon hot pot 500,000VND for two
SeungHyun L — Google review
Does a good sturgeon hotpot for 500k dong (smallest size). The soup is tomato-based and tastes like non-spicy tom yum soup, with pineapples contribute much of the tartness and zestiness. Suffice to say we drank up much of it. Ingredients are all fresh, especially for the sturgeon slices which made for great fish texture, and a whole bunch of vegetables and other side dishes (tofu, mushroom, 3 packs of instant noodles, etc.). Was a great meal after coming down cold from the Fansipan mountain. We went for lunch at 1+pm and there was barely anyone.
Vivian L — Google review
We ordered the salmon sashimi and sturgeon hot pot and they were great. My elder son seldom eat fish but he really enjoyed this meal. Great value for money.
Marcial R — Google review
This restaurant presented my best meal in Sapa. I strongly recommend this restaurant to those who like to try local cuisine with salmon and sturgeon. Besides dishes from salmon & sturgeon, pork and chicken here won't make you disappointed either. I especially like the steamed salmon and sturgeon hotpot here where I can feel the sweetness, freshness of the fish and the harmony of the ingredients. The service truly satisfied me which I didn't expect at first. All the staffs and the owner are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is also notable, warm, cozy and imbued with the local identity.
Duc H — Google review
Even one person can enjoy the must-eat sturgeon hot pot in Sapa. The recommendation from the homestay owner was indeed spot on. This sturgeon hot pot, which is suitable for 2-3 people, costs about 500,000 VND. The sturgeon slices are abundant, and it comes with a large plate of vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, and two packets of noodles similar to Thai MAMA noodles. The broth has a slightly sour and refreshing tomato flavor. The fish slices are fresh, and the greens are excellent. The service is good; if I have the chance to come to Sapa again, I will definitely eat here again!

Song Nhi Restaurant Sa Pa is a popular dining spot known for its salmon dishes. Situated at the Silver Falls, it caters mainly to tourists and offers a large stilt house with two floors and an outdoor area providing stunning views of Sapa. The restaurant is conveniently located near attractions like Love Waterfall and O Quy Ho pass, making it a great lunch stop during sightseeing. The interior boasts beautiful scenery, and private seating options offer pleasant views.
Food positions were large but the quality of the salmon was not too unique to me. The vegetables were super fresh. The price was very reasonable. Service was a lil slow even tho the place was mostly empty but hey, the views made up for the slow service.
Aaron N — Google review
First time trying sturgeon, what surprised me was the bone - it’s cartilage, chewable This restaurant is linked to a fish farm, so it’s as fresh as it can get. It would have been too much for 2pax, and the English menu didn’t have this option, but we saw locals having entire-fishes, select and weigh the live-fish from the farm area, then it is prepared raw and for hotpot - probably would have been a better experience! This restaurant isn’t very friendly for foreigners, you’ll find a lot better ones in Sapa town. Grilled Sturgeon: Believe it was grilled with Galangal? Didn’t have much flavor, pretty tough to chew. Sturgeon Sour Soup: Tangy and just-barely spicy. Clear seafood soup. It resembles the familiar Batang Fish but more chewy.
Dan — Google review
A very surprising find. Service could have been better (there was no one serving us when we walked in and had to find a seat ourselves; many of the tables in the outdoor seating were uncleared). But the food did not disappoint - they got the steamed chicken right. We also ordered a fried chicken, a stir fry vegetables (watercress).

It is one of the most famous salmon restaurant in Sa Pa. Sa Pa salmon is one of must-try food in Sa Pa. Its interios was beautiful with scenery, and especially private seat was nice with view. There are various menu with Salmon like Sashimi, BBQ, and hotpot. Sa Pa salmon taste different with salmon from Norway, less fat and more chewy. So, eating as raw is not fit. I recommend to eat it as hotpot.

Delta Italian Restaurant is a true gem in the heart of Sapa! We had an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The crostini were perfectly crisp and flavorful, the four-cheese lasagna was rich, creamy, and comforting, and the pizza had a deliciously authentic crust with generous toppings. We finished with their homemade cookies — the perfect sweet ending. If you're craving a break from Vietnamese food and want something comforting and delicious, this spot is a must. Cozy ambiance, great service, and food that feels like a warm hug from Italy.

Very good Italian restaurant here in Sapa I visited twice. First was to try out their pizza. They make their dough and sauce in house. It was very good baked to perfection. The owner was nice enough to let me watch him make the pizza. Few days later I came back to try Spaghetti Bolognese and some garlic bread. The portions were big and well worth the price. Most importantly it was delicious. The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean, highly recommended 👍

Really bad cocktails (price: 90k each) and service: * I asked for a piña colada and I got rum with orange juice O.o I asked about it to the bartender and he said that he didn't have pinapple nor the rest of the things for it. The worst part is that he served me the drink without telling me anything about the problem (expecting me to drink it and pay for it without noticing it? Not sure). I returned it back and didn't ask for another one * my girlfriend asked for a mojito. It was tasteless. A few small pieces of mint leaves. A small lime slice. Full of soda. The rum was imperceptible. The place looks nice anyways. But the experience was terrible. We drunk my gf drink in 2 minutes and left the place.

Such a great little pub. Very easy for westerners (as we are). Super relaxed and the free billiards was enticing.

Pool table was free and lots of other games to play! Beer was good price at 25k each, and they do happy hours too. Have fires going to keep you warm so an all round nice place to be in Sapa

Great cozy bar with classic 90s and 2000s tunes, games (pool, darts, cards, Uno, etc.), good happy hour and drink choices. Pints are €1-2 and cocktails €2 during happy hour. Nice loft too!

A Phu Sapa Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Sapa, Vietnam, offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant is known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and generous portions of fresh food. Inspired by H'mong ethnic culture, it presents a unique Northwest cuisine with diverse dishes like Salmon, Sturgeon, Ban Pig, Ban Chicken, and Thang Co Horse.
Insanely amazing food and service! Absolutely coming back to try more of the Menu 🍛 Bought the Set Menu for 115,000 Dong (£3.30). Very welcoming family-run business and well spoken English too 🇻🇳 🇬🇧 also met the resident cat name Tom 🐈 Meat came out still sizzling from the kitchen 😍 With a wonderful views of both the Valley and Sapa streets (when the weather 🌦️ is good) - thank you for your service

Unexpectedly sumptuous dishes just few steps from our hotel! Super glad we gave it a try🥰 Quite soothing music played while devouring their savory servings! Warm-hearted staff and affordable menu! A must try— I highly recommend!
Zenny B — Google review
The sturgeon was incredibly well prepared, as was the pork for my wife. Perfectly seasoned. The sauces complemented each other very well and contained many different ingredients. It was by far the best dish we ate in Vietnam and also one of the best fish dishes I have ever eaten in my life.
Marco D — Google review
Such a lovely restaurant with delicious food and a nice view. My favourite is Sapa soup with mushrooms and chicken. Special burger is huge and tasty, and you should try some fried beef on the hot plate. Actually everything is tasty here 🔥
Арюна М — Google review
Everything was PERFECT. Normally you wouldn’t get Bhan Xeo in Sapa, but I found this restaurant and it was AMAZING with full of fresh ingredients with juicy, rich flavors. The atmosphere was also perfect and the service was unexpectedly superb; very friendly, humble and professional. They even brought fruits as a dessert.

bad service food is worse. waiter was so rude when taking our order. food also tastes so bad i can cook better and i don’t even cook regularly lol. don’t come here the reviews are a scam. i ordered best fried rice ever and it was the opposite of best. i wanted to give negative stars but it doesnt even allow me lol. omg made my trip so bad. coke zero also taste weird…. how can you get that wrong. meat was so tough i could bounce it off the ground.

We arrived in Sapa late night and we were looking for rice. Glad to see this restaurant nearby where we are staying. Everything we ate was delicious especially their fried rice. They also provided us fruits when we were about to finish our food. ❤️

Namaste Omar's Indian Restaurant in Sapa is a delightful find for those craving authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant offers a wide range of delectable dishes with perfectly balanced flavors and impressive presentation. Visitors have raved about the butter chicken, chicken coconut curry, and Kashmir kofta. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant provides great value for money, making it a must-visit spot in Sapa for both lunch and dinner.
I work in Sapa and, whilst there are plenty of restaurants, I have always missed a good Indian restaurant. My prayers have been answered, there is now a great bIndian in town. We sort of stumbled into it and it was so good, we came back the next day. The service is very good but obviously I was more interested in the food and we were not disappointed. Everything we tried was outstanding with nicely balanced flavors, good presentation and just all around good. On our two visits we managed to devour a number of dishes and not a single one was a disappointment. I will certainly be back on a regular basis. Highly recommended and prices are very much in order for the quality delivered.

OMG it is soooo good!!! We ate here twice (for now) and enjoyed absolutely everything! The butter chicken, the chicken coconut curry and the Kashmir kofta- All MUST try!! The service is kind and attentive as well. There is a great “all day happy hour”- a set includes first dish, main, drinks and side dish. Fell in LOVE with this place!

The food was superd. We had a Korma and Masala, both the veggie options, and a Garlic Naan which was massive. Fast and friendly service, highly recommend and reasonably priced too. If we were in Sapa for longer I would definitely have returned. Namaste 🙏

Shaun E — Google review
We came here for breakfast after arriving in Sapa on a night bus. They offer a 60k breakfast set that includes a drink, a main dish, and a dessert. The food was excellent, especially the pho bo, and the staff were very polite and helpful. They gave us lots of useful tips. They also offer a variety of tours and transportation services at very reasonable prices.
Ilias F — Google review
They offer a set breakfast menu of VND 60. You have a choice what you order. Fresh food, eggs were very oily. We did not stay here, just came for breakfast. Owner super funny and friendly. We loved ‘chicken’ the cat 🐈. Free WiFi.
Jeanette F — Google review
Out of our 2 breakfast in Sapa, we decided to have both at Mega View. Favourite of all is their omelette, I love eggs and theirs is definitely one of the best! Staff/owner is attentive and friendly. There's a minimart next to the homestay. The only downside is the steep flight of stairs up and down each time u get to the city as homestay is inaccessible by car. But it also means tranquillity, will choose to stay here next time.
Zanne — Google review
VND 60 for drink , main meal and dessert. Food was ok but a lot of oil used while cooking eggs. Owner super friendly. Free WiFi. Cute cat!
Garth F — Google review
I stumbled upon this restaurant on Google Maps as I was trying to find a breakfast place near my hotel. It turns out that Mega View has a homestay and most of the people having breakfast were guests there. The people were friendly to welcome us and you can select your breakfast out of the several options at 50k VND per set. It comes with a drink as well and I thought that was great! Coffee was good, baguettes were toasted well and the sunny side-up eggs were perfect. The interior of the dining area was rustic and cosy too. P.S. There were 4 baguette slices but I already ate a piece before the photo haha.

Very good place to go eat breakfast. Don’t miss it out. Only 60k per person for the entire breakfast. Opening hours are from 6:30-10:00 am.

Came back after 9 years. Still a cool place to have some drinks. Good thing it's still pretty low-key

Cozy atmosphere with a billiards table as well. Staff are very friendly and will explain what’s in all the cocktails to you :). Would recommend the Hmong Cocktail! Price range is about 120-150k per cocktail or glass of wine.

Cheap beer and good cocktails with good offers for happy hour. There's a free to use pool table and a selection of board and card games available. Nice relaxed atmosphere with good music that isn't too loud. Interesting local decor. Just a good place to come for a few drinks. Glad we came across this bar while exploring Sapa on foot. It’s quirky, has a great playlist of classic rock music (the first we’ve experienced in Vietnam) and a nice sized pool table. Laid back atmosphere and great apple shisha! Reasonable prices, especially during happy hour.

Sapa O'Chau Travel Social Enterprise operates a unique cafe on Thac Bac street, serving as a hub for socially conscious individuals and a training center for the organization's students. The cafe also functions as an information center about the Sapa O'Chau project and facilitates arrangements for treks and homestays. As part of its non-profit mission, the enterprise aims to advance education and employment prospects for the Hmong community in Sapa.
My partner and I booked the 2-day 'off the beaten track' trek through Sapa with Sapa O'Chau, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Everything was incredibly well-organised, and we feel so fortunate to have had perfect weather, allowing us to take the mountain paths. This made the trek feel truly adventurous, as we wandered through breathtaking rice paddies and stunning landscapes. Special thanks to our guide, May Xuan, whose warmth, knowledge, and excellent English added so much to the experience. Her guidance and insights made the journey even more memorable. Highly recommended!
Luke W — Google review
Absolutely brilliant. Our trek in January 2024 was a highlight of my visit to Vietnam. Our guide, May was absolutely wonderful. She led us carefully and considerately. She answered as many of my endless questions as she could. She was cheerful and a joy to walk with. I learnt so much about the area, the villages, some of the customs and the ways of life. It was a real insight into a very different way of life to mine in England. May couldn’t have done more or been nicer. Thanks also to the lovely family who hosted us overnight. They prepared the most delicious evening meal and morning breakfast. But the highlight had to be the fragrant, warming and soothing herbal baths. Heaven. All organised by Sapa O'Chau. Great communication as well - all emails, questions and queries were answered within a matter of hours. Negatives - for balance - we booked a private hike, just the two of us, but 2 other ladies joined our group, which turned out to be a real positive as we met two really interesting people we enjoyed spending time with - so actually, there are no negatives. A fantastic company.
Michelle P — Google review
My sister, bf & I had the BEST time with Zer - we did the 2-night “Giay & Black Hmong” tour. It was fantastic from start to finish. Zer was incredibly knowledgeable & we learnt so much. We got to stay with his family & meet Ma Ma Sa, who we now aspire to be! Views were outstanding & each day was unique - from walking through rice fields, to an intrepid jungle hike (no snakes spotted). The whole experience was unforgettable and exceeded expectations. Thanks a million Zer - as promised, we’ll be back in 20 years with our kids!!!!

Our 3d/2n Red Dao Trek was wonderful. We came for the views, which were fabulous, but we shall treasure meeting such lovely people. We love that SapaO'Chau is a Cooperative run by women, providing opportunities for women as guides whilst also educating their children & supporting their communities. We are fit in our early 60s and this trek was tough but doable, a real adventure. Our guide Mei was so kind, knowledgeable and helpful. We were welcomed by the families at both homestays, where we chatted around the fire & then ate together. We gained a new insight into the local tribes and their lives. In 3 days, we met 1 other trekker at the homestay. An authentic & memorable experience.
Clive R — Google review
We chose the trek "Off the beaten track" and we had an amazing time. Our guide May Xuan was so joyful and gave us many information on the surroundings, plants, her people the Zao... The sceneries encountered were beautiful, but among everything we really enjoyed the delicious meals prepared by her husband and the relaxing traditional herbal bath before dinner. Only to be recommended!
Laurence S — Google review
We did two great treks with Sapa O’Chau - our tour guide Su was with us for 5 days, he was amazing - knew lots of information and was very fun!! I highly recommend the: Explore the Red Dao culture trek - 3 days. The route was quiet, for 2 days we didn’t see any other tourists or groups. The homestays were authentic and had great food. The Hmong homestay trek was also beautiful but very busy with lots of tour groups. Thank you Sapa O’Chau and Su for a great experience.
Brianna F — Google review
I cannot recommend this trekking guide company enough! The service was absolutely amazing. Our guide, May, went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure that we had an unforgettable day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Sapa and learning about its history. The company provided us with water and the place we stopped for lunch was a local restaurant with delicious food. We did the 1 day tour, which was around 13km, and we were blown away by everything we saw. Thank you to this amazing trekking experience and May for an incredible experience!
Gemma G — Google review
We had a really great time with Sapa O'chau! We did a day tour with the motorbikes together with one other couple. 4 very nice women, led by San May, were each driving one of us on their mopeds and led us through short hikes to see the waterfalls. It felt safe and was a very fun way to see the areas around Sapa. We especially enjoyed learning about the different plants in the forest, trying the traditional painting and finishing the tour with a nice herbal bath to warm up after the rain in the afternoon. The best day so far on our Vietnam visit! Destiny at the O'Chau office was very helpful and accommodating when booking the tour. Would recommend to anyone visiting Sapa. They offered to sell you some hand made textiles at the lunch in the village and the herbal bath was about $10 extra, but very much worth it!

Really nice terrace with views to the lake and chill music. The food was delicious too. I ordered the sweet and sour pork and it was really good. One of the best places I've eaten in Sapa. It may look a bit expensive but the portions are big. The staff is also very friendly. They asked me to write a review, but it's my honest opinion.

I went on a day when almost all the restaurants were closed and unfortunately I didn't have a good experience there. The staff don't speak English, so it's very difficult to place an order and be served. The menu is confusing and you don't know exactly what you're ordering. The food isn't tasty, it's very greasy and the prices are high. Despite this, the space is cozy.
