Silver Waterfall is a must-see natural beauty spot in Sapa, Vietnam. Located 14km from Sapa on the winding O Qui Ho Pass, it offers a stunning view of the cascading waterfall running down from Lo Sui Tong mountain peak. The best way to experience its beauty is by trekking up 300 steps to a bridge that provides a captivating panoramic view of the waterfall and surrounding mountains.
Great view once you climb the steep pathway with stairs. Once up the top, you cross the bridge and walk down the other side. It's very picturesque and worth stopping. $10,000vnd per person entry. It's July. it's the wet season now, so the waterfall is flowing fast.
Raelene G — Google review
Lovely looking waterfall. lucky we had some rain early & waterfall was looking great. Around 200-220 steps to walk up. Took me awhile, but worth going up
Stash K — Google review
Quick break enjoy the water, bird, leave, and wind sound Plenty of stairs, proper stairs, and the fence, the gap between each stair is perfect, making the walk enjoyable, you know some waterfalls have no convenience gap making your knees not happy, but this one is NICE Nice way to have a short break here Thank you
Yoga B — Google review
The waterfall is beautiful and definitely worth a short stop. It’s only about a 15–20 minute walk round-trip from the main road. The path includes a short stair climb, a small bridge, and then a descent back toward the road. At the entrance there is a small fee: 30k VND for adults and 10k VND for children. If you arrive after 16:30, entry is free. A quick, easy, and enjoyable visit! 🌿💧
Rave G — Google review
The waterfall emerges from a steep mountain gorge, with water perpetually descending into a rocky basin below. This constant flow generates a resonant acoustic effect, contributing to the area’s immersive natural ambiance. We totally enjoyed the easy walk up and down the guided steps with handrails for closer look at the waterfall. The whole area is clean and maintained. Minimal entrance fee for visitors. This waterfall about 12-15km from Sapa town. We took Grab and the waterfall is right by the mountain roads. Pools in this waterfall tended to be yellow, akin to rust. Not sure if this is due to the natural mineral content, or due to concreate and rebar being incorporated to stabilize the route of the river. Some pipes were also evident. Not sure, but it could be one of the sources of the water supply for the town. Tap water in the town tastes somewhat metallic.
JR F — Google review
30k entry fee - worth it! Really nice waterfall, the steps aren’t too difficult to climb up and it doesn’t go very far up so don’t be put off. There are 2 or 3 sheltered stops on the way up to take nice photos on.
Leo G — Google review
The walk up to the Silver Waterfall was quick and easy, the road was well built and the view was even better than expected. It surrounded by green mountain and there are multiple resting areas along the way. Entrance cost 20 vnd, child under 6 entering free
Shai P — Google review
Entrance fee VND 20K. 200 hundred steps up and down. Magnificent waterfall but can't go higher. 30 mins or less is sufficient.

Khu Du Lịch Sinh Thái Hàm Rồng SaPa, also known as Ham Rong Mountain, is a prominent peak in Sapa town. Its dragon head–shaped summit offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The hike to the 1900m-high summit is relatively easy, with steps leading up through lush vegetation and a stunning flower garden featuring numerous orchid varieties.
Nice little park that has a lot of steps and incline to get to the cloud yard which overlooks sapa town. 70k vnd entrance for adults and the entrance is easily spotted with signs that lead from beside the church at Sapa town. Took about 45mins to climb all the way up to the cloud yard
Shi N — Google review
A good place in Sa Pa to do a day hike/walk. Ham Rong was a bit challenging for us due to the lack of proper signage, but we enjoyed the visit. We tried to make it to the dragons jaw, but the fog beat us to it. Wear good shoes that have a decent grip as the stairs have green slippery areas that could make you fall. Enjoy!
Travel F — Google review
It's a beautiful park but involves a bit of trekking to reach the top. From the pics, the trekking part wasn't obvious. However, you're greeted by beautiful views at the top. There are food and drinks available at many stops along the trekking route. The flower gardens are well maintained, but the statues look old. Still, it was a great experience overall.
Ruchir S — Google review
This place is confusing. bring bug spray and grab a map if you want to know where you are going. We didnt get one and it was a maze going around up there. Lots of little caves to walk through and a lot of random paths you can take. Very little signage especially in not in english. We didnt explore the whole place and we were up there getting lost for about an hour and a half. Lots of big spiders all over the place which can be scary or cool.
Kevin L — Google review
Actually, my wife and I were surprised about this Ham Rong. Yes, it was a bit abandoned at the front side, but the stones garden inside was beautiful and unique. We didn't expect to see those near the heart of Sa Pa city. We were accompanied by a local tour guide, named Bang, and she was so friendly and helpful. Oh ya, I bought a handmade hat with local Sa Pa tribe style, from an kind old lady. It cost us 100,000 VND and it was a reasonable price already, in my opinion. We could see the view of Sa Pa city from the above and all the trekking effort was worth it. Overall, it's still recommended to visit guys. Enjoy!
Marcus S — Google review
Good place to go if you’re in SaPa, looking for a hike, but don’t want to stray too far from the town. Cracking views of the town and Fansipan from the top.
Leigh W — Google review
Very cool natural place to explore! You don't even feel like you're in a city! We had the place to ourselves literally! We went around 12:30 and then around 2:30 we saw people going up after coming down. Easy to get around, but get the map at the ticket counter (there are very well made stone paths everywhere and ask shop owners if you need help. Definitely go to the cloud viewpoint (#19?) and try the bow and arrow!! I wouldn't go when rainy, though. Could be very slippery.

It’s pretty nice. You should go to see the view of Sapa town and the entire Hoang Lien Son mountain range

Specialty Museums
Nestled in the heart of Sapa town in northern Vietnam, the Sapa Culture Museum, also known as the Sapa Museum, offers a captivating journey into the rich traditions and history of local communities. Established in 2007, this museum features an array of exhibits including artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays that shed light on the distinctive cultural heritage of Sapa and its neighboring regions.
This little museum provides insight into the history of Sapa, its colonial heydays, trials and tribulations, and uts recent renaissance. What I really enjoyed learning about is the ethnic groups and their traditions. Quite eye-opening. It's certainly worth a visit for the curious traveller. It takes 45 mins to view the e exhibits.
Robin K — Google review
small museum with photos, and brief history and some prototypes. no entrance fees and can buy souvenirs downstairs. Under 30 minutes to explore. quiet and nice environment.
Kyaw M — Google review
Free entrance. Very informative and interesting, maybe in an old fashion style, but if you are interested in history, native tribe communities, culture and tradition in the Sapa area, then this is the right place and must see.
Jasna J — Google review
It was interesting to know more about the culture of the different Villages and ethnic groups that are located around Sapa. The entrance is free and there are nice souvenirs in the ground floor. Good as a short indoor activity!

Very interesting museum. You get to learn more about the communities that live in and around sapa. Free and not too long (about 45 minutes if you read everything). Not crowded at all, strongly recommend stopping by

This place was okay, it was free but had this annoying puppy dog just running around attacking my loved one lol made me a little scared
Damian F — Google review
Really interesting museum, free, calm and has tons of pictures and information on local ethnicities and cultural practices. The associated shop has very good quality products made from a local cultural association and the prices are really affordable for the quality and compared to other shops in the city. 10/10 highly recommend, especially if the weather isn’t the best

Sin Chai Village is situated near Sapa town and can be reached by a full-day hike. It is home to the Black Hmong ethnic group and offers an authentic experience compared to the more touristy Cat Cat village. The village retains its pristine beauty, surrounded by rice terraces and maize upland farming. Visitors can witness traditional houses, weaving practices, and the stunning Cat Cat waterfall while exploring this less touristic but culturally rich destination.
A must-visit idyllic Hmong village experience. This traditional village is truly a gem, offering a serene escape into a world of indigenous culture and natural beauty. Nestled in isolation, the village radiates a sense of authenticity and charm that makes it feel like a step back in time. Visiting early in the morning is highly recommended. The village is at its most tranquil, and you can explore its wonders without the crowds. The peaceful ambiance enhances the experience, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in its unique way of life. The village is a treasure trove of Hmong traditions. From the intricate tribal architecture to the vibrant dance and musical performances by the locals, every detail reflects the rich heritage of the community. The performances, in particular, are a captivating display of skill and joy, leaving you with a deep appreciation for their culture. Nature lovers will be enchanted by the village’s surroundings. The waterfall is simply breathtaking—a perfect spot for a quiet moment of reflection or a photo opportunity. The traditional watermill, a symbol of their harmonious relationship with nature, is another standout attraction that showcases the ingenuity of the Hmong people. To top it all off, the village offers complimentary traditional desserts made from sticky rice, paired with a taste of their homemade rice wine. These treats add a sweet and satisfying conclusion to the visit, leaving a lasting impression of their warm hospitality. This Hmong village is a perfect blend of culture, history, and natural beauty. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply looking for a unique experience, this destination is absolutely worth the visit. Plan your trip early in the day for the best experience, and prepare to be enchanted by the magic of the Hmong people and their way of life!
Gabby F — Google review
Was the best visits... If you want an ideal cultural experience this is definately a place you need to visit.... Be warned when you walk down you have to walk back up part way to vehicles... But definately WORTH IT! The natural beauty, water fall, horses and seeing the natural way of living was a privilege.
E T — Google review
Very scenic places to have your IG photo taken. The village also do rental of costume for you to take pictures (Just like you are in Japan or Seoul). There are performance at various timings too.
Marion L — Google review
To be honest, you pay 150k VND, however would be possible to get on without a fee. In the artificial Cat Cat Village you can only eat/drink and take a lot of photos in traditional clothes. Is this worth? Nothing additional will be offered. The scenery is nice, although there will be nicer places im Vietnam. Do it when you are in Sapa, however, do not expect too much.
Olivier S — Google review
I loved it here! Place is well maintained, clean. Big enough to cater lots of tourists. They have cultural shows too. Don't miss that.
AL C — Google review
Sin chai village also known as THON CAT CAT village, famous for local village handmade items, best scenery for photos and of course water fall and local traditions dance and costume. Must visit places.
Google R — Google review
You should rent a motorbike and drive to the village all the way to the end. Buy a village entrance ticket and do not call for a motorbike service. Ask the staff which way to enter. They will show you the way to enter. Follow the nature trail in.You should prepare your legs well because the next morning your legs will be sore. But if you exercise regularly, it is normal. After finishing the village, I recommend you soak in warm water.
Woottisak B — Google review
Review of Sin Chai Village Sin Chai Village, located about 4 kilometers from Sapa Town, offers an authentic glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the Red Dao ethnic community. Nestled at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, this picturesque village is an ideal destination for travelers seeking a quieter, less touristy experience compared to the more commercialized areas around Sapa. The journey to Sin Chai is scenic, with winding roads surrounded by lush greenery, terraced rice fields, and cascading streams. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted with a serene atmosphere and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The village itself retains a sense of authenticity, with traditional stilt houses, local farms, and a way of life deeply connected to nature. One of the highlights of visiting Sin Chai is interacting with the Red Dao people, who are known for their warm hospitality and vibrant traditional attire. Many families welcome visitors into their homes, offering insight into their daily lives, cultural practices, and traditional crafts such as embroidery. For nature enthusiasts, Sin Chai is also a starting point for trekking routes that lead into the Hoang Lien National Park. These trails offer opportunities to explore dense forests, discover hidden waterfalls, and witness breathtaking views of the valleys below. While the village is less developed than other tourist destinations, this is part of its charm. However, visitors should be prepared for limited facilities, such as dining options or modern conveniences. Those seeking an immersive experience can arrange homestays to spend more time in the village and gain a deeper understanding of the Red Dao culture. Rating: 4.5/5 Pros: Authentic cultural experience, stunning natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere. Cons: Limited facilities, slightly challenging access for some travelers. Sin Chai Village is a must-visit for those who appreciate culture, nature, and an off-the-beaten-path adventure in Sapa.

Similar to love markets in Khau Vai and Moc Chau, this event used to occur annually after Tet holiday but now takes place every Saturday evening, drawing both local and international visitors. If you're keen on exploring Sapa's cultural heritage, the love market offers a unique experience.

Ga cáp treo SUN WORLD FANSIPAN LEGEND is a cultural and religious tourism area situated on the peak of Fansipan, the highest in Indochina. It boasts a modern cable car system that allows visitors to conquer the peak in just 15 minutes. The site features unique architectural works such as pagodas and Buddha statues. Nestled within the Hoang Lien Mountain Range, it offers leisure activities, attractions, and comfortable lodging.
We had a wonderful experience taking the cable car up Fansipan! We purchased our tickets directly from our hotel (KK Sapa) reception at the same price as the official counters, which was very convenient. The journey involves three sets of tickets: first a funicular that takes you to the cable car station, then the main cable car ride with stunning views, and finally, once you’re near the top, another funicular to reach the summit. I would highly recommend getting the full set — climbing all the steps to the peak can be quite challenging, especially for older visitors or anyone not used to strenuous activity. A tip: depending on the weather, make sure to bring a jacket — it can get quite chilly at the top even when it’s warm down in Sapa. Overall, a must-do experience if you’re visiting Sapa!
Kyle F — Google review
Been on several cable cars in the past, but not one could compare to the fansipan legend cable car. Your cable car travelling through valleys and going up to a misty cloud hidden peaks evokes images of wuxia novels and the journey to immortality past human concerns. Watching yourself rise above visible signs of human habitation, roads, and cities is a philosophical experience in itself, and the descent is also equally fascinating. For our less fantastically inclined friends, the distance covered and time spent on the ride is much higher than most cable cars. The cable car goes much faster than initially apparent as well. Even as you watch the way you zip from one pylon to the other, watching the incoming cable car makes the speed which both cable cars are actually travelling easier to see. We shared our cable car with a party of Vietnamese elders doing some sort of pilgrimage, the peak seems to be a significant Buddhist destination, and I can see why

The sunworld fanspian legend is truly one of Vietnam's produest achievements .a seamless blend of breathtaking natural beauty andworld class engineering.Built by the renowned austrian ropeway company Doppelmayr in collaboration with the sun world group ,the cable car system 🚠 here is one of its kind , gracefully gliding through the stunning fansipan mountain range ,the roof of Indochina. The journey begins at the sun plaza (sapa station),where a monorail takes you from Sapa town to Muong Hoa Station. This short ride is nothing short of magical passing through lush valleys and offering panoramic views of terraced fields and misty mountain peaks.Once you arrive a short 300 meters walk awaits you, but it's filled with charm.Along the way, you’ll find beautiful photo points, including the Love Garden and Animal Garden, as well as vibrant traditional dance performances that add a cultural touch to the experience. Tourists can even join in these dances, creating unforgettable memories. From Haong Lien station the real adventure begins .The cable car 🚠 journey streching over 6kms is a breathtaking ride through the clouds. As you ascend, you’ll be treated to incredible views of the lush green Hoang Lien Son forest, cascading waterfalls, and drifting fog that creates a dreamlike atmosphere. It’s a sight that stays in your heart forever. After this scenic journey, you’ll reach the Pagoda and Cultural~Spiritual Complex, often referred to as Point 2. Here, you can stop for a delicious meal at one of the restaurants overlooking the mountains, while soaking in the serene surroundings. The majestic Buddha statue, elegant pagodas, and peaceful gardens make this a place of spiritual calm and beauty. To reach the fanspian Indochina peak (3.143 meters) the highest point in Vietnam you cns either climb the stone steps or take the Tram. The tram ride is simply spectacular, gliding through the mist and offering stunning views of the mountain temples. Once you reach the summit, the views are beyond words, an ocean of clouds rolling over the rugged peaks of Sa Pa. Standing here feels like standing above the world. On your way down, take time to explore the Buddha Temple and Pagoda complex, and don’t miss tasting Sa Pa’s famous cinnamon cake before heading back via the tram and cable car. Overall the sunworld fanspian legend experience is truly a once in a lifetime journey .a perfect combination of nature, culture and innovation. From start to finish, every moment fills you with awe. You’ll fall deeply in love with the Fansipan Legend mountains, the engineering marvel of the cable car, and the serene charm of Sa Pa.

This mountain/peak is the Roof of Indochina, with a height of more than 3.000 meters. This was the highlight of our Sapa trip. There are mostly 2 ways to reach the peak, either take the funicular from Sapa central station or drive to this cable car station. The funicular is beautiful but a bit too expensive in my opinion. So you can easily skip it and go directly to this location to take the cable car. Taking the cable car up was an unforgettable experience, with panoramic views of mountains, clouds, and valleys that looked almost unreal. This is a well-organized attraction for visitors, and while it can get crowded, the views and the feeling of being above the clouds make it an absolute must-visit in Sapa

This is one of the most memorable and magnificent cable car rides I ever had. The station is just beautiful and looks picture perfect. The ride provides you with the views of rice terrace gardens , lush gree. Valleys and mountain vistas. You can also spot some waterfalls and distant landscapes. Overall it is a magical cable car ride. If you are a one family and want to sit together, you can inform at the start of the ride. They shall arrange for the same.

Mind-blowing. Hats off to the engineers and the team behind all the work that went into making this dream like experience a reality. If you visit vietnam and don't experience this, your trip is incomplete. I am still wondering the amount of effort that went into completing this project. You get to witness land, rail, air all kind of transport in one journey 🙏. The safety norms and staff are incredible. We travelled during the peak holiday season yet didn't face any problem. The fee is considerate. One should definitely carry warm clothes and good pair of shoes if you intend to trek to the top. There are many food stalls and drink stations so you need not worry about snacking.
TWINKLE M — Google review
Such a cool experience! This holds the world record for longest cable car ride and highest change in elevation for a cable car! CHECK THE WEATHER! Because the views can be insane from the top on a clear day, but if it’s really cloudy, you’ll be lucky to see your hand at the top! We went on a partly cloudy day and had partial views, but still so worth it! Once you get to the top via the cable car, you have the choice to climb the stairs the rest of the way or take a funicolare to the top. We did the stairs and it was great! Beware, it’s still about 30-45 mins of stairs and is a work out for sure, but it’s a really cool experience! Check it out if you’re in Sapa!
Weslie F — Google review
Rode from our hotel to fansipan station. There’s a distance between the entrance to the train platform. Then about 10 minutes train ride to the actual site. Alighted the train and took some pictures in the first viewing deck. Then rode the cable car to the next station for more than 20 minutes. The next stop is the start of the test for endurance. To reach the top of indo china of 3,143 m above sea level, one has to climb a total of 900 steps (hope i got the number right). Don’t worry, there’s an option of another train ride, but that is after you had hurdled the first 300 steps up. As there is a voice over in english, chinese and local language to take your time when climbing up the stairs. Oxygen is thinner and anyone who has high blood pressure or has a heart condition shall take it slowly - one step at a time. Any discomfort felt is equal to a rest on the steps themselves or a seat at a platform. Anyway, after the train ride, there are about 100 steps or two flights before getting on the peak. The infamous stone marker is there. Many photographers are scurrying around to get pictures. They even resorted to a picture of you with the marker taken, printed, and smartly framed in record time for visitors to bring home. Take note all amenities come with a fee. The entrance fee was included in our tour while the train and pictures with frame are to be personal expenses. When you decide to go to this place, make sure your lungs, heart, knees, and legs are ready to take on the challenge.

Notre Dame Cathedral is a stunning stone church with a belltower and Roman Gothic architecture, built by the French in 1895. It's located in Sapa, Vietnam, a beloved destination known for its troubled past and recovery. Visitors can explore nearby attractions like the Sapa Museum, Cat Cat Village, and Ham Rong Mountain within walking distance. The cathedral area offers an eerie atmosphere in the early morning fog, surrounded by Hmong ethnic people making a living.
Visiting Sapa Church was a memorable part of my trip. The church itself has a beautiful, rustic charm, built from stone with a simple yet elegant design that really stands out against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains. It’s not a big church, but it feels very cozy and peaceful once you step inside. I attended a mass there even though I don’t speak Vietnamese. Thankfully, they had a TV screen displaying the prayers, readings, and hymns, so I could follow along a little bit. It felt quite special to be part of a local service, even from a different culture and language. The atmosphere inside was so warm and welcoming — it didn’t matter that I couldn’t understand everything, I still felt a strong sense of connection. The setting around the church is also lovely, with the fresh mountain air and the quiet town vibe adding to the overall peacefulness. I’m really happy I made time to visit this church. It gave me a moment of calm during my busy travels, and a chance to experience something familiar yet different at the same time.

This is a beautiful old stone church with classic Sapa architecture, located right in the heart of the town. The area around it is lively with markets and tourists. Looks even better in the evening with lights. Peaceful place to sit and click photos.

Always great to find a church in a country you’re visiting. :) Attended mass and it was a great cultural experience hearing it from a different language. Mass started on time and there were plastic seats available outside since the inside seats were already taken. Attaching the mass schedule in the pictures.

I didnt get a chance to see inside the church during my 2 days visit is sapa. Outside view is cool, the design of the church is old yet authentic. Just around the Sapa plaza, sapa tourist office. All is near to everything, a store, food, restaurants. This quite small when you look outside but didnt have the idea how it looks inside. Hopefully to my next trip i could see the inside view.

It's a quiet place. There's shade under a large tree inside. People sit outside the cathedral and wait, but I rested inside, near the tomb.
Christopher A — Google review
The church is truly beautiful from the outside, especially at night when the lighting adds a special charm. We didn’t go inside, so I can’t comment on the interior, but from the exterior alone it’s definitely worth seeing.

Pretty little church in the center of town with some cool stained glass showing the stations of the cross and some oother notable feats of Jesus.

Couldn't get in through the front door, not much historical information, and the gangs of hawkers accosting us outside was annoying. Beautiful stained glass windows though

Sapa Heaven Gate, located about 3 kilometers from Bac Waterfall, is a breathtaking natural wonder. The pass path to the gate, known as Tram Ton, winds through the Hoang Lien Son mountain range and offers stunning views of terraced valleys and the distant Bac Waterfall shrouded in clouds. Travelers can continue 3 km further from Silver Falls to reach Heaven Gate for panoramic vistas of Lai Chau valley and Fansipan peak.
My visit to Sapa Heaven Gate was truly a pleasant experience, even though the weather was cloudy during my time there. The serene atmosphere and the feeling of being surrounded by mist added a unique charm to the experience, making it feel like stepping into another world. While I couldn’t fully see the majestic mountains beyond due to the clouds, the peaceful vibe and beauty of the area still made it worth the trip. It’s a place that captures the heart with its tranquility, and I can only imagine how breathtaking the view must be on a clear day. I’m already looking forward to returning during a non-cloudy season to fully take in the panoramic mountain views. Sapa Heaven Gate is a must-visit, whether for its mystical allure in the mist or its stunning vistas on a clear day.

We visited this place as part of our tour. It was very misty and cold. The walking path is pretty steep and there were some statues based on historical culture here. The highest point is 2,035 m. There is a large cafe at the entrance and the staff here were helpful. We had some tea at the cafe and it was good.

This has one of the best views of the mountains of Sapa. Very serene and breathtaking. You need to climb some steps to reach the top. There's a Buddhist temple the top with a breathtaking view..
Chewy C — Google review
Heaven gate has 2 zones, zone 1 is the older zone and zone 2 is the newer zone. You will have to choose which zone to visit (or both) and purchase entry tickets. Due to time limitation we chose to visit zone 2 as recommended by the locals (according to them it has prettier views than zone 1). The views are decent and there's alot of instagrammable spots. If you're chasing more of a nature vibe, you might be better off at zone 1, zone 2 is skippable. We took pictures at zone 2 but didnt enjoy it as much because it was quite theme park-ish. If you have kids, zone 2 is worth visiting. If you are here for a picture with heavens gate, Moana Sapa has a similar gate. This place is a bit empty but do support if you have time for a leisure stroll in the park!

One of the most amazing-breathtaking views I’ve ever witnessed. We went to the Heaven’s Gate around 3 and reached The Valley around 4 and stayed there until the sunsets. Below are all the pictures taken in the Valley (same place with Heaven’s Gate Sapa) using phone. The Heaven’s Gate is also such an amazing place, there aren’t that much steps to walk but still will be a challenge for the elderly, but there are rest stop along the way so it’s manageable :) (Didn’t include the Heaven’s Gate pics because it was on my other phone)

We payed 120k each to enter the first area of the viewpoints. You can pay more (can’t remember how much) to use the full area with Zipline, karting, etc. I think you have to pay extra for the Zipline. The area we went through was really nice though and had plenty of fun photo spots - the view is absolutely breathtaking!! Highly recommend it. The restaurant is free to access on weekdays but on weekends you need to pay the 120k fee to access the restaurant.

We didn't have the best weather, but it was worth paying the ticket to visit this place. It is very beautiful and worth a visit if you are in Sa Pa. There are many attractions plus, if the weather is good, it can be turned into an amusement park with many activities such as a zip line and a labyrinth.

Moana Sapa is a popular entertainment complex in Sapa, attracting many young tourists with its unique styles and impressive architecture. The complex reopened in mid-March after two years of isolation and offers superb location photo spots, including a Balinese gate, female face sculpture, infinity swing, and piano. While there is an entrance fee of 80k VND per person, the stunning photo props and lovely photographic destinations make it worth the visit.
We recently visited Moana Cafe and truly enjoyed the overall vibe and setting. We went on a weekday when it wasn’t crowded, so we had plenty of time to enjoy the place and capture photo. They offer drone or photography rentals, which we found quite affordable. As a bonus, the entrance ticket also includes complimentary coffee or soda.
Marilou B — Google review
Fee was a package including drink but we skipped the drink. Many spots to take photos, believe they also provide traditional costume rental. They have drone service if you want to opt for aerial view videos/photos. We just enjoy the scenery as the day was starting to get clearer when we arrived.

The whole idea of the place is genius. Order a drink and you can enjoy the place and the view. We stayed for more 2 hours enjoying the view and taking pictures. I had so much fun. I just love the mountain background. Nature trip always amazes me so this kind of place is my cup of tea. A place surrounded with mountains. This is highly recommended when you visit Sapa

We visited Moana Café and enjoyed the overall vibe and setting. The place has a nice atmosphere for relaxing. Unfortunately, we lost our receipt and didn’t get the chance to claim the complimentary coffee that came with it, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the café itself is worth a visit for its ambiance and instagram worthy. Hopefully next time we’ll get to try that free coffee too.

The ticket costs 90k VND per person, including entry and a drink. I visited on Saturday and it was quite crowded. There are many photo spots for visitors. The place is spacious, clean, and airy — a really nice spot to relax. If you don’t know where to go in Sapa, this is a great option! The drink menu is simple, with only coffee, lemon tea, and soft drinks #04102025 #vietnamese

Lots of tourists from a lot of different places that were a little rude. There is an entrance fee. The views are cool it gets really hot recommend having sunscreen or a hat. Some of the spots have a little wait for you to take photos. They have a section for you to get drinks. We went around noon not sure if it would have been a different experience either morning or later in the afternoon.

Full of tourists all trying to get prefect photo. We also went when the weather was very foggy and you couldn’t see much in any of the photos we took. I imagine it is nicer pictures when sunny. Once you’ve got your photo there’s really not much to do. We were only here for an hour. The ticket price is cheap and includes a drink which is good.

Sun World Fansipan Legend is a must-visit spring travel destination, offering stunning views of the misty scenery and the colorful Buddhist flag road. It's located on Fansipan Peak, known as the 'Roof of Indochina,' with an altitude of 3,143m. The site provides access to the majestic natural landscapes of Northwest mountains and forests.
A must visit to fansipan if you in sapa. The experience start when you board the Moang Hoa Monorail from Sun Plaza. Upon reach hoang lien station, You can take your time mingle around the garden and walk the way up to the top to take the cable car. The cable car experience was really exhilarating, As it going up to the peak with the cold wind and mist. A must visit when you at sapa.

Conquering Fansipan is a fun experience. Make sure to bring a jacket as it gets pretty chill at the summit. Also be prepared to walk up and down a lot of stairs at more than 3000m above sea level. We enjoyed the Buddha statues and the temples at the top of the mountain and the view from the cable is incredible.

A visit to Sapa should include a day out to the top of Indochina - The peak of Fansipan. The trip via cable car was spectacular - we got lucky with the weather. Lines weren't too bad either. We were told by our guide to get there early to get the best views as later in the day is generally misty. A lot of construction at the top and the stairs are a little treacherous.

⭐ Fansipan Sun World Legend Review (Visited October 27, 2025) We booked our Fansipan Sun World tickets back in July 2025 for our visit on October 27, 2025. We purchased round-trip tickets with buffet access, though note that the funicular ride is not included in this package. My review is divided into three parts: ⸻ 🚆 1. Monorail and Sa Pa Station The Sa Pa Station is conveniently located in downtown Sa Pa—just a short walking distance from most hotels and restaurants. The station is clean, with well-maintained toilets and courteous staff. While the guides and attendants may not speak fluent English, they can understand basic communication well enough to assist you. If you’ve pre-booked your tickets, the process is simple: connect to the station’s Wi-Fi, open your Klook app, and present your QR code for scanning. The monorail ride takes around 6 minutes each way, offering some of the most breathtaking views I’ve seen anywhere in Asia. It can get a bit crowded, especially near the front where everyone wants the best photo or video spot—but the scenery makes it all worthwhile. Truly an amazing start to the journey. ⸻ 🚡 2. Cable Car, Station & Buffet Dining The cable car ride to Fansipan Peak takes about 30 minutes one way and is simply stunning. The panoramic views of the Fansipan mountain range are spectacular—an unforgettable experience surrounded by clouds and nature. The buffet restaurant located at the cable car station was a nice inclusion. While the food quality and variety could use some improvement, there were limited choices and they didn’t offer ice cream for dessert… it was still satisfying and a great place to relax, eat, and share stories about our adventure after exhausting walks up at the summit. ⸻ 🏔️ 3. The Fansipan Peak Experience We were truly blessed with clear skies and sunshine during our visit, making our Fansipan adventure even more memorable. Be sure to study the summit map before exploring. My mom opted for the funicular round trip and missed visiting the large Buddha statue, so plan your route accordingly. Pro tip: Take the funicular only on the way up. Once you reach the summit, walk your way down toward the Buddha—it’s a rewarding route with spectacular views. The stairs leading to the large Buddha statue (around 117 steep steps) the steps have steep inclines can be challenging and not worth it. ⸻ 🌤️ Final Thoughts This was undoubtedly the highlight of our Sa Pa trip, and even of our entire Vietnam vacation. The Fansipan experience is a must-do for anyone visiting northern west Vietnam. However, it’s not ideal for seniors or those with mobility issues, as it involves plenty of walking and climbing. I highly recommend visiting between October and November, when the weather is generally cold, dry, fog is minimal, and the views are at their best. We were incredibly lucky to have a sunny, clear day on October 27, 2025—perfect for capturing the magic of Fansipan. Overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) – A breathtaking and memorable experience worth every step!

My camera pictures might not do the justice. Breathtaking views and the weather was nice when we reached the top. You might need to train your leg before visit because there are loadsss of stairs. Awesome experience!

October 2025: I'm a Level 7 contributor (>400 reviews) on Google and regularly review eateries and experiences to give an unbiased opinion. Because of a recent cold, I could not do the hike up Mount Fansipan, and have to settle with a cable car ride to reach the top. The night before, the travel agent at Pao's leisure hotel gave me many tips to enrich my experience. The hotel has a direct view out to the mountains and gauging on the amount of clouds, there is a strong prediction that the view will be fantastic. At 6 am, I started to check the cloud movement and was delighted that the sky was clear blue, above the sea of clouds rolling through the valley. I could also see the outline of the mountain range (see the 3rd and 6th photo). THIS IS A CLEAR SIGN TO GO. I purchased a return cable car ride, bypassing the Moang Hoa funicular from Sun Plaza to the Fansipan cable car station. I took Grab to the cable car station, arriving at 0715 hrs. The cable car starts operating at 8 am, and I spent the time walking in the gardens. At 0750 hrs, I started to go to the queue. If I had taken the funicular from Sun Plaza, I would have arrived around 0755 hrs. Those who took the funicular had to queue behind those who came directly to the cable car station. When you reach the end of the cable car ride, head straight to the funicular to the summit. You still need to climb a significant flight of stairs, because the summit funicular is a distance away from the cable car station. When you reached the summit, there is more climbing to reach the platform. On the way to the summit, you will notice several temple complexes scattered across. Thus means MORE STEPS, MORE CLIMBING. At this altitude, it was strenuous. Note: 1. There's still construction going on in that area, and it's hard to get rid of unsightly objects in the background of the photos. 2. There are too many cables, criss-crossing the area, and it's hard to avoid these in the photos. 3. *Most important*: buy the tickets from your hotel. There will be several combinations. The return cable car costs 800k VND, a one-way summit funicular costs 150k VND. I chose not to do the return ticket for the summit funicular because I wanted to explore the temple complexes. There's a combo ticket from Sun Plaza: return ticket on the Moang Hoa funicular, return cable car ride plus buffet lunch at a restaurant for $1.2 million VND. This is a good deal but the items on offer for the buffet didn't impress me, and I dread the idea of jostling for food with crowds of tourists. There's a Halal section for our Muslim friends. It was easy to catch a Grab ride back to Sun Plaza. If you like this advice, do give a thumbs up 👍 , and follow me for more experiences.

Amazing place to explore with a well maintained cable car station . The way to the sun world is also very interesting with little parks and amazing decor. Worth to take lot of photographs. The staff is very good and friendly. Also, the place is very well maintained. You will gong great dining options at the peak with a beautiful valley view. One of the memorable places of our Vietnam Trip.

Super well managed and easy to get to train station at the center of town. Well worth the price of admission. The grounds are massive so definitely pay for transportation so you have more energy to explore everything. Bring a jacket as the weather swings constantly. Didn't do the buffet lunch.

The Hồ Chí Minh Friendship Monument may not be the most grandiose monument in the country, but it holds great significance for the Vietnamese people. It is a popular spot for locals to take photos, with some even choosing it as a backdrop for their wedding pictures. For those interested in learning about the Indochina wars and Ho Chi Minh's message to the people of Sa Pa, this monument and nearby war memorials provide valuable insights.
Bumped into this monument while walking around the Sapa town. I was here but i do not understand what is written on the monument as it was written in Vietnamese language.

The Ho Chi Minh Friendship Monument is quite a fine monument, but will be lost on most people without a translation from a native speaker, which tells you it is a message from Ho Chi Minh's heart to the people of Safa. Highly revered of course. I was most impressed with the carving on the back side of the monument, and have posted a picture of it. But why is it also called 'The Monument on the Lake' I don't know! It's next to the amphitheatre and the Stone Church in the middle of town - not next to the lake. Why not just call it the "Ho Chi Minh Friendship Monument".

Sapa Center serves as the main hub for visitors to Sapa, offering a wide range of accommodation options and serving as a starting point for exploring the surrounding attractions. It provides an opportunity to immerse in the local culture and witness the daily lives of the residents. The town center is bustling with activity, especially in the evenings, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy city life.
Sapa Square is the heart of the town, offering a mix of natural beauty, cultural vibrancy, and historical significance. Surrounded by key landmarks like St. Joseph’s Cathedral, a French colonial-era church, the square is a vibrant and energetic hub where locals and tourists gather. Ethnic groups such as the H'mong, Tay, and Dao set up market stalls, selling handmade crafts and adding to the square's lively atmosphere. The square also reflects Sapa's French colonial past, with remnants of French architecture scattered around, including old villas and buildings. Additionally, the square offers stunning views of the surrounding Hoàng Liên Son mountain range and terraced rice fields, often shrouded in mist. Overall, Sapa Square is a central point that encapsulates the town's history, culture, and natural beauty.

Visited Sapa Square and the city of Sapa during winter, and I truly fell in love with the atmosphere. The chilly weather, foggy air, and mountain views created such a peaceful and romantic vibe — it honestly felt like I was walking through a dream. Sapa Square itself is a lovely spot to stroll around. It’s surrounded by charming French-style buildings, cozy cafés, and beautiful architecture like the stone church. The square often has local performances, traditional markets, and friendly locals selling handmade crafts. I enjoyed just sitting there, watching the fog roll in and people going about their day — simple but magical. Even though it was cold, that’s what made the experience so special. The fresh mountain air, misty hills, and quiet streets gave Sapa a unique charm unlike any other place I visited in Vietnam. If you’re looking for a destination that’s peaceful, beautiful, and full of romantic winter vibes — Sapa is the place to be. I can't wait to come back someday.

A good representation of the City in the Fog. Looks majestic from a distance. Picturesque, lively and exuberant up close. Somewhat noisy, filled with tourists and touts up close. Beware of pickpockets, hard sells. Thinking of it as the Vietnamese version of the French Alps and you won't be far off.

🌄 Sapa Adventure Review: Fansipan & Bản Cát Cát – A Journey Above the Clouds Sapa has always been on my travel bucket list, and this trip exceeded expectations in every way. From breathtaking landscapes to authentic cultural experiences, every moment was memorable. 🏞️ Bản Cát Cát – Culture and Charm We started our journey with a visit to Bản Cát Cát, a traditional H’Mong village just a short walk from Sapa town. The trail leading to the village was scenic, with terraced rice fields, waterfalls, and mountain views surrounding us the whole way. The village itself is like stepping back in time—wooden houses, locals in traditional dress, and handmade crafts everywhere. I especially loved watching local artisans at work and sampling traditional snacks. It was touristy, yes, but still felt authentic and welcoming. 🚠 Fansipan – “The Roof of Indochina” The highlight of the trip was without a doubt conquering Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam (3,143 meters). We opted for the cable car ride, which in itself was a jaw-dropping experience. The views as you ascend are surreal—floating above clouds, forests, and valleys far below. Once at the summit, the air was crisp and cool, and the surrounding Buddhist temples and statues added a spiritual feel to the whole experience. Standing above the clouds, with 360-degree mountain views, was something I’ll never forget. 🏨 Sapa Town – Misty and Magical We stayed in Sapa town, where the misty mornings and cool air gave the whole place a mysterious charm. There’s a good mix of cozy cafés, local restaurants, and night markets, perfect for exploring after a day of hiking or sightseeing. ✨ Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a trip that combines nature, culture, and adventure, Sapa is the place to go. Fansipan gave me a new appreciation for Vietnam’s natural beauty, while Bản Cát Cát offered a meaningful glimpse into the lives of the local hill tribes. It’s not just a destination—it’s an experience

14Ansapa Village

Mentioned on

Ansapa Village is a picturesque attraction in Vietnam, offering visitors the chance to capture photos of famous landmarks and statues while admiring the stunning rice terraces of Muong Hoa Valley. The village features unique miniature versions of iconic monuments like the Effidel Tower and Statue of Liberty, as well as rock-faced presidents. Due to limited copyright laws in Vietnam, various interpretations of these iconic characters are on display. Visitors can explore this patriotic dreamland on a budget by renting a motorcycle for transportation.
Great chill experience, many birds that you can feed. we could buy a drink for 50k for free entry, drinks are great Recommending if you have a way around
Jan F — Google review
Oh, behold the magnificent land of national monuments, where you'll find the Effidel Tower, the Statue of Liberty (miniature version, of course), and the rock-faced presidents staring at you like "Hey, we're made of stone, deal with it!" It's like a patriotic dream come true for my American friends, but be warned, my friend, it's gonna take a toll on your wallet if you don't opt for the thrifty option of renting a motorcycle. Say no to expensive Grab rides and hello to two-wheel freedom! Now, if you want to avoid the crowd of eager tourists, I suggest rolling out of bed at the crack of dawn. I mean, I strolled in around 10 a.m. and there was literally only one person there, probably the person in charge who couldn't escape. Plus, you'll need to cough up 100,000 VND for the entrance fee, but hey, they throw in a drink too. So at least you won't be parched while you empty your pockets. Let's talk about the scenery, shall we? It's like a postcard brought to life, with breathtaking views and structures that are questionably built but somehow manage to look impressive from a distance. It's like they're saying, "Hey, we may not have the best construction skills, but we'll still awe you from afar." Now, here's a little treat for your tired legs: a refreshing dip in the pool. Imagine cooling off while admiring the majestic mountains. It's like Mother Nature's way of saying, "You've earned this, my friend. Enjoy!" And when you're ready to quench your thirst, grab a drink and make your way up the steps to the second floor. Trust me, it's like sitting on a fluffy cloud. Not only is it comfy, but you can also charge your beloved phone. So you can take all the selfies and post them on social media to make your friends green with envy. So, my intrepid explorer, venture into this land of national monuments with your rented motorcycle, empty pockets (except for that entrance fee), and a thirst for adventure. Just remember to take in the quirky structures, enjoy the refreshing pool, and bask in the comfort of the second-floor oasis. Cheers to making memories and charging your phone along the way!

Nice place with many interesting scultures from all over the world. It’s free of charge but they ask to buy coffee from the village to get “free” entrance.

I went on a weekday so there wasn't much people. Which is good for me, anyway. This place needs more supporters, so those who comes to Sapa the first time, it's great to go and take some photos. By the way, it has some views which is totally unspoilt by human activity.

Very cool walk through garden+photos and fantastic coffee! ;D man from a office is extremely kind ;)

Didn’t find, the google map send us to a weird place, dangerous full of dogs

Average... Nothing special than a trial to get tourists and their money.
Marek R — Google review
For us, the view of the mountains and Fansipan was more of an attraction than the monuments. The owner has nicely designed the monuments but you would really enjoy sipping the coffee while enjoying the sunset!

15Cloud Yard, Ham Rong Mountain

Cloud Yard, Ham Rong Mountain in Sapa, Vietnam is a captivating destination known for its vibrant flowers and intriguing rocky formations. The mountain offers stunning views of the entire city of Sapa and is adorned with colorful azaleas, roses, orchids, cherry blossoms, and plum blossoms. Visitors are enchanted by the beautiful scenery and cool atmosphere on cloudy days.
This place was incredible. There is an entrance fee, and some trails are not well maintained, but I feel this adds to the feel rather than detracts. The stone formations are incredible, as is the view. Be sure to catch the traditional art performance as well! 😍😍😍 Just be prepared to climb up a lot, this is a mountain after all!
Damon N — Google review
Would say the view is mid on a cloudy day. There are multiple paths to this peak. Please do not take the left route when you see the signage attached to this review. It is a tougher route. Take the one that brings you to heaven (middle route). Both will eventually lead you to the same mid point but the heaven route is easier.

Amazing view of Sapa centre from Cloud Yard. Ham Rong Mountain is an easy to moderate trail. Start the path from behind the Stone Church in Sapa centre. Ticket booth is at the base of the mountain. Stick to the more maintained paths for the most direct route to Cloud Yard. The signage is a bit confusing but the views are great whichever route you take to arrive. Plenty of drink and snack stops along the way.
Moira C — Google review
At first this looks like nothing more than a tourist picture spot. A bunch of statues, flowers, etc. But as you get further in, there’s a nice paved hike to get to the top. Gorgeous views of Sapa from the top. Worth the 70k VND entrance fee. Be careful, the path can be very slippery after a rainfall.
Paul G — Google review
To get to the viewing point take the road to the left of the church, then turn left when you reach some gates. The is a ticket booth a little way up, but the 70K doing is certainty worth it. There are lots of steps, some of which are quite uneven but the path is well kept. You will walk through some well maintained gardens with lots of flowers. Basic toilets are available and there are drinks vendors at various places. The park has a number of walks so make sure to follow the signs for the Cloud Yard
Paul T — Google review
This is part of the Ham Rong park. It cost 70K Vietdong entrance fee, mostly stone walking paths with some windy paths. From easy to mid difficulty depending on which path you choose. The stunning views are worth it. First tier is the sculpture garden, next the flowers gardens, then the rock gardens. Take heaven gate 1 to get to the cloud garden where you see stunning views over the Sapa town and across the mountains. On the day I went is was to foggy to see Fansipan.

Got bitten by a dog. Be careful. Nice view but pavement uneven and slippery

A place with a beautiful view of downtown Sapa. You can take a look at the sapa in 30 minutes.

Rice Terraces Viewpoint in Sapa offers a mesmerizing tapestry of green and gold as the terraces cascade down the hillsides. It's a charming place for trekking, especially when the rice terraces are lush green. The area provides a calm and natural scenery, with top views that are worth visiting for. Despite the sketchy road to get there, visitors can enjoy the nice view and fresh air at this picturesque location.
Fantastic walk, DO NOT get scammed by the locals.. can easily be walked by yourself! Don’t listen to other reviews, all you got to do is to not respond to their questions and continue walking. It’s not hard to be firm
Louis S — Google review
The viewpoint itself is nice, but just be mindful that you’ll likely be followed by locals trying to take you to their village if you go here. There was 2 of us, and 6 of them. And we saw others being followed too. You’re probably better off booking a trekking tour and seeing better views with them / elsewhere.
Danny B — Google review
To me, this is the best photo spot for rice terraces while trekking towards the villages. Even for those who aren't doing any trekking, you can just walk down a bit to enjoy this view and take pictures. Have the zoom in 1.5x, step back and take shot
Chandra R — Google review
Great view point! Can go there with bike. The small road beside Moana Cafe.
Khin O — Google review
It was a great viewpoint but the locals are pretty aggressive, they’ll follow and try to guide you to their village, if you refuse to, they’ll say you have to shop with them. We rejected and they were unhappy, it was a bit uncomfortable to walk around, be more prepared and only walk in groups.
Su E — Google review
Very pretty but sketchy road to go on with the scooter.
Alicia T — Google review
It was a "non event", unfortunately. Started off well with clear sky in the city, but once we came close to the designated area there was so much Fog, it was just impossible to see anything. Luckily we drive to many areas where they have wonderful Rice Terraces
Sepp L — Google review
Essentially the same view as anywhere else, not much of a “viewpoint”. As others have said, you’ll be followed by locals if you go down this road. There were 4 of them and 1 of me, so I decided to turn back around after realizing the view was the same as most other spots around.
