Nestled along the picturesque banks of the River Frome, The Old Granary is a charming pub that beautifully blends rustic charm with modern elegance. This former grain house, now owned by Hall & Woodhouse, boasts a Grade II listing and features exposed beams and cozy wood burners that create an inviting atmosphere. With its light-filled interior and stylish furnishings, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after exploring Wareham's scenic surroundings.
We stopped here on our way to Bournemouth for lunch and found it to be quite amazing! There's ample parking, you can sit there next to the river, and they have delicious vegan roast. Apparently the place has a long history of changing roles throughout time, how cool is that! Would love to come back again.

Had a tasty lunch sitting on the roof terrace in the sunshine. Watching the ducks on the river. We returned in the evening for dinner, I really enjoyed my apple spritz. Our meal was lovely, the food was tasty, hot and plentiful. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, the service was prompt too.

This restaurant is located in a historic building by the river, and has a lovely atmosphere. The food and beer are delicious. It might be a good place to relax. If the weather is nice, the terrace seats are also very pleasant.
Yoshi H — Google review
Nice pub by the water. It’s really cosy inside and the terrace is also lovely. I visited for late lunch on a weekday. Service was friendly though a bit slow. Food was good for the price. Really can’t complain!
Melanie M — Google review
I’ve been here a number of times and always found the food to be good. We went here on a Sunday evening and just managed to get their last roast chicken. The desserts were delicious as was the roast. A lovely place to relax and enjoy some good food. My only complaint with this establishment is you can’t get hold of them if you try to call!!! I tried to ring a number of times to check if they were still serving roasts but they have some robot assistant on the phone which doesn’t understand you and you can’t speak to a person. I almost gave up and went elsewhere it was extremely frustrating and I suspect others will also go elsewhere too if they have the same experience as me. We ended up popping in and luckily they had one roast left but it would be extremely helpful if a human answered the phone. Apparently you have to ask the robot to speak to a manager to be able to get through to a human. @the old quay, I would recommend rethinking this strategy as you will lose people. People ring up these days because they have a question that the website can’t provide an answer to. This is the reason why I have put a 4 on the service.

Absolutely gorgeous pub, fantastic setting, wonderful food, good beer selection and amazing staff. Our server Madi went above and beyond in her service levels in looking after us: as someone who has travelled the world I can honestly say her attentiveness was up there as the best I’ve ever had; absolutely at the right level. Highly recommended venue and especially on a warm day when the river that the pub overlooks is utterly idyllic.
Jason F — Google review
I almost didn’t come here because of a bad review where someone found a live (!) spider in their salad, and I wish I had listened. The vegetarian burger was really bad, chewy and unpleasant. The chips that came with it were cold and tasteless. We ordered drinks and they took so long to arrive we asked after them and were told “there’s a wait on the bar”, no apology, in the end our food came well before our drinks. The pub is beautiful with a lovely view of the river but the food is expensive, bland and unappetising. I wouldn’t return. There’s also limited parking outside shared with many other restaurants/bars so be prepared to find alternative parking.
Josie T — Google review
Honestly the best pub food I've experienced. Good drink selection with the brewery's own drinks being really nice and the riverside location is the cherry on top. Only passing through Wareham but if I lived here this would be my go to pub!

If you're on the hunt for an exceptional dining experience in Dorset, look no further than The 29029 Restaurant in Wareham. This gem is celebrated for its authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine, offering a diverse menu that caters to every palate. With dishes ranging from flavorful curries to expertly crafted Tandoori options, each meal is prepared using only the finest ingredients. The ambiance at The 29029 Restaurant is both modern and inviting, making it a perfect spot for any occasion.
10 out of 10 would not change a thing. Food was amazing and staff very attentive. The twist on Indian food from the Nepalese influence was on point making traditional dishes fresh and delicious. My wife, son, daughter and I had a lovely evening and would highly recommend. Mo Mo was beautiful as was the Rogan Josh lamb shank. We will be back soon. Love the Curtis family x

We're staying in Wareham for a few days and popped into this restaurant for a buffet lunch, priced at £14.95 per person. Large carpark to the front of the restaurant, no designated blue badge spaces. However, there's plenty of parking & there is disabled access. We have a similar restaurant where we live, and there's far more selection with the buffet. The staff did their job but little more so the service was only average. The food itself, again was only average, and some of it wasn't even that hot. The toilets were freezing, so much so the toilet roll was damp and stuck together. Surely, they could stretch to having some form of heating in their restrooms. We wouldn't be returning to this restaurant and feel we couldn't recommend. There's certainly a lot of room for improvement. Please see my pictures. Hopefully, this helps.

Food was amazing, definitely the best in the area and I'm local. Price also very reasonable and will go again. Lived in Wareham for decades and never visited until now. Wish I had known how excellent the food was before.

This restaurant was recommended to us as the 'absolute best curry for miles' and it most certainly did not disappoint! Absolutely beautiful food, fantastic service and lovely interior. There is nothing that could have been done to improve our experience it was truly perfect in every way!!!

Absolutely wonderful from the pickle tray to the variety of the main dishes. One of the best dining experiences we've had. The Nepalese influence is fabulous.

We are away on holiday staying in the caravan park just down the road, and we drove past and came in on the off chance. The food was unbelievable. Was very tasty, the service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and welcoming. We were so glad to have visited here. Will definitely come again next time we’re in the area

The Quay Inn in Wareham offers comfortable rooms within a historic pub, where guests can enjoy interactive dining and a beer garden. The inn's picturesque surroundings include the early-morning sunshine and views of the water meadows and Purbeck Hills. Nearby, visitors can find affordable drinks at the Conservative Club and enjoy a lively atmosphere at Harry's Bar.
Stopped off for late lunch with Nan, Auntie, Sister and our little dog. Excellent service with friendly young girl, huge portions, high quality meals. Nice little visit on our holiday. Wheelchair & Dog friendly!

We went for the Tuesday steak night. Buy 1 steak and get 1 for £1. Unusually the steaks came on a hot stone so we could cook them to how we liked them. Came with chips and a side salad. Very much enjoyed. 2 steaks and 2 pints cost me £35 very good value

Came here for dinner on a sunny August evening. The location is lovely, just across from the river frome. Staff were largely very friendly. Food, unfortunately, was Wetherspoons quality, served at gastropub prices. Great place to be with a family I’m sure, but they’re ripping you off a new one with the food pricing.
Reece W — Google review
We came here for dinner, expecting regular pub grub but turned out to be a really amazing eating experience! We ordered the lobster bisque, burger, share starter of bao buns, wings and Camembert cheese with bread, steak& ale pie and loaded chips. See the photo for the great presentation of it all!! Overall amazing food, all tasted very fresh and well seasoned. My only note would be some gravy with the pie, but could just be my preference. Spoke to the chef afterwards too, very friendly man who gave insights into what we ate! 10/10 definitely recommend anybody to eat here.

Here for Lunch. This is a pub and not a restaurant. Unfortunately they charge restaurant prices. It's loud, lary and a 8oz steak will set you back over £33! There was one poor girl front of house who couldn't possibly keep up despite her best efforts. We had to wait 15 minutes just to get a dessert menu. I would say it was about 2 thirds full. I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal. Even though the food was good the poor service and level of noise and drunks at 13:00 was way too much for the high price tag

Had late lunch on a Monday. Fish and chips and mackerel pate. Absolutely delicious and excellent value for the size and quality of the meal. Brilliant pub. Really really impressed. X

Camping nearby, fancied a walk by the river. Afterwards, we stopped in here for a bite to eat. Friendly, warm welcome, dogs included. Food was also good, will definitely be returning soon.

Was on our way home to Kent from a few days in Swanage when we decided to stop off in Wareham. Chanced upon The Quay Inn and glad we did. I decided to try something with a bit more flavour (altho I love a Full English generally) so had the Wareham Spicy Eggs and they didn't disappoint! My brother in law went large on the Full English and it was impressive!! Sis had the berry pancakes and those too were lovely. Couldn't fault it at all plus a decent amount of tea rather than just one cup. Definitely recommend!

Nestled in the picturesque walled town of Wareham, The Italian Kitchen offers a delightful dining experience with stunning views of the River Frome and the enchanting Purbeck hills. This charming restaurant beautifully marries traditional Italian flavors with modern culinary innovations, resulting in a menu that features an array of mouthwatering pasta and pizza dishes. Whether you're indulging in seafood linguine or savoring a rich spaghetti carbonara, each bite is sure to elevate your spirits.
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch today for Mother’s Day, our first visit to this restaurant and won’t be the last. Wonderful attentive staff, goats cheese and butternut squash pizzas were lovely as were the tiramisu desserts and general dining experience was excellent. Thank you for the little treat after our meal, a delicious cupcake and Mother’s Day card to take away in a beautiful gift box, that was a nice touch. ☺️

My husband and I are doing a London > Paris > UK trip. We are nearing the end and this was THE BEST meal we have had on our entire trip! We ordered the two seasonal items; pork pappardelle and pork and chicken pizza 🤌🏼 I wish this place was in the US. So flavorful and you could tell they use high quality ingredients. We are here for Tiger Day so I’d highly recommend stopping here if you are in town. Thank you for the tasty meal, wine and great service! After our meal we sat out near the water to watch the ducks. Great time together.

A really nice little Italian restaurant near the quay on the river in Wareham. We went here for an anniversary meal and we're not disappointed. Very nice young staff team were very attentive. The menu was unusual, creative and tasty. Cocktails were nice and we had an exceptional bottle of wine which was not overpriced. Multo bene!

We drove up from Ipswich and are staying in a holiday park nearby so thought we’d look for a nice restaurant, me and my partner love italian so googled italian food nearby and this is the first that came up, and i’m soooo glad it did! This place serves the most beautiful food, the tiramisu was the best we have ever had. Service was so quick and our waitress Ellie was so lovely. You get complimentary bread which was beautiful, very big portions for the price too! We couldn’t believe how much food and drinks we got for £73. If we didn’t live 5 hours away we would be back and i’m devastated i can’t come back. The restaurant is small and cozy by the lake. The man who i think is the owner/manager (sorry if im wrong) visibly treats his staff with respect and was helping to clear tables, as any boss should! What a lovely place!

The food is excellent and beautifully presented, service by the friendly staff is attentive but unobtrusive. We have only in or near Wareham two but been here twice each time. There are only 3 main dishes to choose from, fish, chicken and superb steak, we have tried them all. Last visit we had the sharing bread platter which is fresh bread from the local bakery with cold meat and olives followed by 5 starters to share, which they offer for £25.

Nestled on the banks of the River Frome, The Priory Hotel is a charming 16th-century country house hotel in Dorset. With its elegant rooms and suites, many featuring French doors opening to scenic river views and marble bathrooms with whirlpool tubs, this hotel exudes old-world charm and sophistication. Situated near Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, and Studland Bay beaches, it serves as an idyllic base for a romantic getaway.
From the moment we walked through the doors of The Priory in Wareham, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Wayne looked after us from start to finish — his warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made our stay exceptional. The service throughout was impeccable, the room was beautifully presented and comfortable, and the grounds were absolutely stunning — a peaceful haven right by the river. Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding; every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavour. It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers on every level, but The Priory does exactly that. A truly memorable experience — we can’t wait to return. Thank you Katie, Ben and Jeremy All the best to you all Frank & Evelyn

I had booked a table for lunch for my wife’s birthday last Saturday and we enjoyed an excellent meal in the Garden Room. Christian made sure the occasion was memorable and Stephan the Chef ensured that each course was at its best. We have been coming to this hotel at varying times over the past 40 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience each time. The setting is delightful and very restful being on the banks of the River Frome.
Neil H — Google review
Lovely quiet room, (Brownsea). Amazingly large and well kept gardens, excellent car parking, lovely spacious dining room with great view of the River Frome. Lots of public spaces and a cosy lounge. Well stocked bar. Dinner very good with a sensibly mixed choice of menu. Wine list extensive, but a few were missing, and a lot were very expensive. Breakfast had a wide choice, but the content was disappointing, and felt cheap.Overall a pleasant experience.

What a weekend! A simply fantastic stay at The Priory Wareham. From check in to check out and everything between was just perfection. As soon as we stepped onto the grounds I just felt calmer. It is such a peaceful location and we stayed in the Swan Room which I highly, highly recommend as you have your own terrace on the bank of the river - stunning! We had cocktails in the bar which came with some beautiful little canapes and then the most unbelievable 3 course dinner. If the weather had been a little better we would have borrowed a paddle board and gone out on the river but will save that for next time. The staff were so friendly, the room was just perfect and the Jacuzzi bath was such a luxury! We only stayed for 24 hours but it felt like so much longer and was just the reset we needed. Thank you to The Priory for the most perfect birthday stay.

I just had the most amazing stay at Priory Wareham! The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the enchanting town of Wareham, making it the ultimate base for exploring the breathtaking beauty of Dorset. The building itself is steeped in history. Some parts date all the way back to the 16th century, brimming with character and charm! The service was absolutely delightful, and let me tell you, the breakfast was a true highlight. So delicious! I can’t recommend this place highly enough!
Daria — Google review
We have been staying at The Priory each year since 2018.. From the moment you check in the peaceful air greets you. The staff are invariably friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for staff. The food is always excellent, and with enough variety on the menu to keep you happy for at least four days, without repeating a meal. We hope to repeat our experience for many years to come.

Nestled in the picturesque Ashley Cross area, Drgnfly Pan Asian Restaurant is a culinary gem that brings a delightful twist to Poole's dining scene. This refined establishment specializes in an array of mouthwatering dishes, including sushi, donburi, bao buns, and dumplings. Each plate is crafted with care and creativity, making it perfect for those seeking something unique during their lunch break or dinner outing.
Drgnfly is an incredible place to eat. I was blown away with the themeing of the restaurant and the quality of the food. The evening i went (Saturday 13th) it was fully packed! Everyone seemed to be having a great time :) They seemed a little understaffed with about 3 servers covering all the table but they were working incredibly hard and were so helpful and friendly, I didnt get there names but just wanted to shout them out as they really made our night. Overall I think the whole evening there was an amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back!

What stunning restaurant, so beautifully decorated and styled, it really causes you to stop and stare as you enter the doors! My husband and I had booked the Valentine’s set meal and had arrived a little early, we were the first to enter but were greeted warmly and shown to our table. We enjoyed sipping some Valentines Cocktails whilst we waited on our food… Nibbles - EBI Senbei (prawn crackers) - huge crackers with a spicy mayonnaise type dip to go with them. To Start - Aigamo Gyozas (crispy duck dumplings with hoisin) & Heart-Shaped California Roll (Dorset crab meat, avocado and cucumber topped with tobiko, spicy may and tempura crumb). - Both were very tasty, the gyozas really crisp on the outside and the hoisin had a deep, strong flavour which was great. The California roll was really good, however they did fall apart really easily so you ended up with a good chunk of it in your soy dipping dish. To Follow - Tori Katsu Curry (chicken katsu with Japanese curry sauce) & Yakisoba (chicken, king prawns and vegetables stir-fried with ramen noodles). Now these 2 dishes were absolutely fantastic! The chicken katsu was SO crisp, we’ve not experienced such a crisp coating ever in chicken, whilst the chicken stayed succulent and the sauce was really flavoursome. The yakisoba had plenty of chicken and prawns and the vegetables were very fresh. To Finish - Matcha Platter For 2 (Two mini matcha brûlée, matcha mochi and matcha chocolate truffles). The brûlée was really creamy, although cold, the truffles smooth and intense and the mochi were incredibly cold (the centre was still a little frozen) and was so-so. Some improvement was needed here. After the Valentine’s cocktails we had a couple of pints of Drgnfly pilsner which was a very decent pilsner, with great taste and a smooth finish. Throughout the meal all servers were friendly, attention and smiling throughout the meal. Our main server was Karly and she was truly wonderful, so full of joy, nothing was too much trouble and she was enthusiastic about making sure you had everything to enjoy a great evening. Thank you Karly! Some feedback - for such an amazingly styled restaurant full out authentic charm, the music was a rather odd choice, it was standard music you would hear in the car, rather than some traditional Asian instrumental work that we were expecting.
Jamie H — Google review
What a fantastic lunch today at Drgnfly. Hosted by the unflappable Lauren who was not only a wonderful floor manager and server. She simply navigated the day sublimely. Joshua on the bar gave us a wonderful glimpse of the homemade syrups and bases for the cocktails and we were delighted with the Champane Mojitos. The food was beautifully plated and delicious. We had the Aidan Gyoza (Crispy duck dumpling's), Shio Kosho (salt and pepper squid), Dynamite Shrimp, Firecracker Sushi, the Sushi platter for 2, and Sake Teriyaki. Dessert platter for two… berry cheesecake, brownie, Matcha bites and Matcha pancakes…

Avoid at All Costs – A Complete Disaster from Start to Finish I rarely leave reviews, but this place was so appalling it deserves a public warning. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this wasn’t going to be a pleasant experience. The staff looked like they’d rather be anywhere else, and we were ignored for a good 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence — and when they did, the service was indifferent at best, bordering on rude. As for the food? Absolutely shocking. What was advertised as “authentic pan-Asian cuisine” was little more than reheated slop that wouldn’t pass in a motorway service station. The sushi was warm (yes, warm), the noodles were overcooked and drowning in oil, and the supposedly “crispy” duck tasted like it had been fried last week and microwaved to death. Bland, greasy, and completely uninspired. Drinks took forever, the wrong dishes were brought out more than once, and no one ever came to check on our table. When we raised polite concerns, we were met with blank stares and a shrug. Overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly embarrassing. If this is what they consider “premium Asian fusion,” then they need to go back to the basics — starting with edible food and basic hospitality. Do yourself a favour and eat literally anywhere else.
J B — Google review
I went on date recently with my girlfriend recently and I had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We were the last people in the restaurant but there was no pressure in rushing us out the door and encouraged us to get dessert too, staying open longer than they needed to just for us. Fantastic place will continue to come back!

Stopped in for a Thursday afternoon lunch, all the staff were so lovely and very attentive! There were plenty of great options to choose from and some amazing specials. I opted for the Whitebait for starter and flat iron with garlic prawns add on for main. Both were great portions for the price, and the steak was cooked perfectly. What an amazing place, we went there whilst on holiday camping as it was our friends wedding anniversary. They were very welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing, the chef was even able to make a sauce for my wife on the fly which she said was super, and she is a chef so that tells you how good it was.

Lovely pub, recently refurbished and with new owners who are super friendly. Finally nice to have a pub nearby that serves food at the times they advertise (we went there at 8pm on a Sunday evening, after trying another pub where the chef had packed up and gone home because it was quiet 🤣). Food cooked from fresh (unlike a lot of chain pubs) and ales were well kept. Will definitely be back.

A fabulous find by a friend. Four of us stayed here for a charity event and we could not believe how lucky we were. Welcoming, friendly, excellent well appointed rooms. The pub itself is a lovely characterful building, good service again friendly and very accommodating to everyone's needs. The food was excellent. A lovely stay, thank you so much!

Went here on 22nd September 2025 for an early evening meal. Ordered steak and ale pie. Pie was tasty enough. Mashed potato were watery tasteless, had a green hue and was inedible. Veg was peas and cabbage, also bland. Presentation of the food lacked. My wife's food, salmon was a better option. Meal was also overpriced. Very disappointing.

Stopped off here for a late lunch. Very welcoming when i went to the bar to ask about ordering food and as we had a dog were we ok to sit outside. The young staff member was very polite and she gave us menus explained everything and so we ordered our food. This food was amazing, presented lovely abd tasted great. Not over priced and definitely value for money, we left very satisfied and full. Highly recommend.

Stopped off for food and drinks after a lovely day at Studland. We were given a table in the bar area as we had our dog with us. Staff very friendly and couldn’t fault anything at all. Really attentive and had time to chat with us etc. made a fuss of our dog Tilly. No hesitation in going back.

The Silent Woman is a lovely traditional pub with great service and an extensive range of drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with tasteful festive decorations. There's plenty to choose from on the menu, catering for all tastes. The bar and facilities are extremely clean and well-equipped, making it the perfect place to enjoy a drink with friends. Parking is available nearby, making it easy to get to.
A great traditional English pub that serves lovely homecooked food, we had the Gammon, eggs, and chunky chips, and it was absolutely delicious! The pub is very welcoming with friendly and attentive staff. There is plenty of outside space, so when spring arrives, I am sure it will be a lovely place to sit and enjoy good food and a couple of drinks. It's certainly a place we will return to when we are next in the area.

Long wait for sub par food. Beef was sliced so thin on my roast that I could see through it, vegetables were severely undercooked. Yorkshire’s and roast potatoes are decent. A friend in our group had to wait over an hour for food and was also told she never ordered, despite already paying for her meal at the same time as the rest of the party. Ordered myself a carrot cake from the menu, 20 minutes later I was told I must have misread and meant cheesecake, I hadn’t and didn’t. Cheesecake arrived and safe to say the worst cheesecake I’ve tasted, may as well have ordered cheese and crackers because that what it tasted like. Essentially a grim ploughman’s served with what was supposed to be ice cream, which looked like it had melted and been refrozen 18 times. Somehow it managed to foam as it melted into a clear puddle. The Staff were apologetic but overall very disappointed. Overpriced at £18 a roast for what was not a nice meal.

Disappointing visit. The staff were friendly and the pub appeared clean. Dog friendly. However, the food we had was very overpriced for what it was. There was a small menu, which was not a problem, as I always believe the produce etc will be fresher. We both had the chicken curry. These were £17 each and served in a small bowl. For £17 I would not have expected chicken thigh to be used and the portion to be so small. Although tasty it was very watery (as you can see by the pictures). We were given a knife and fork each to eat it with. It came with 1 greasy thick popadam which was put on the top in a cone shape. So parts of these were soggy. This was a Christmas eve visit and it should have been better. We didn't chance pudding or coffee. My response to your reply: Mix the curry up??? This is exactly how it came, all we did was take the popadam off. I am not in the habit of lying or mixing things up. And as for coming back ... certainly not after your reply!

The barman was friendly and I appreciated that he proactively checked my dietary requirements and didn’t make me feel like a pain for being vegan. We had lovely meals sat in the cute garden with generous portions. It is very close to the sika trail car park for walks in the forest.

Came here Sunday 16th march. Booked for 4 people. We were seated promptly. We then waited to order drinks. Ordered a Guinness and waited to then being told they don't sell it, which is fine as had a great alternative. 3 ordered regular cokes. We then ordered 4 roasts. We then sat for 45 minutes whilst people got roast that had arrived after us. So we asked and we're told are order wasn't put through but they now would put it through. Then told the cauliflower cheese had sold out (wouldn't have if order was put through) then waited another 15 minutes before asking and told they would be with us shortly there just going through other orders... Which is crazy as ours should have been put to the front of que. Then the roasts came and were warm/cold at best. Really gutted as read the good reviews and purely chose this place for a roast on the assumption it was good. We were offered no apologies for the mistakes or discounts. It wasn't busy maybe 30% occupied. So there is no real excuse.

We came here for lunch and there really weren’t many varying options. Light bites included brioche rolls and jumbo hot dog - which didn’t seem so light to me! Service was good, although our waitresses couldn’t answer a few of our questions about the menu. Outside area seemed nice. Overall it was okay but I would go somewhere else if you’re looking for more choice.

After a long journey down for a weekend away with the kids we popped in for a spare of the moment booking. Very accommodating and booked us in before we arrived 15minutes later! We were greeted and shown our table and were made to feel very welcome. We had the Sunday roast beef which was outstanding. As a Sunday roast pro this ranks there in the top 3 I've had. The beef was like butter and the gravy was delicious... would happily sit and dunk potatoes and bread into the gravy all night long. A very good pub wish it was more local to us! Thankyou

Please don't go for the Sunday lunch, warmed up in a microwave, carrots like chunks of pineapple., meat tough potatoes burnt on the outside. In other words forget it. Not worth what we paid for it. £62 pounds. NEVER AGAIN. Shame because it had a good name years ago.. 😔

The Cock and Bottle Inn in Morden is a contemporary rural establishment that offers classic pub games, an extensive selection of real ale and cider, as well as a modern British menu. This charming pub, owned by a friendly couple, boasts an impressive collection of locally crafted gins with numerous exciting flavors available. The food at this establishment is exceptional; the fish and chips are particularly noteworthy, featuring high-quality, substantial portions of meaty fish.
Stopped here on the way home from Poole. We sat outside under one of the sunshades and had a lovely dinner. Several people we knew were also there enjoying the sunny weather. Been here several times for drinks but this was the first time for a meal and we were not disappointed. Compliments to the chef as well as the waitressing crew, they were superb. The menu is much more exciting than the usual pub grub at other establishments and the prices are very reasonable.

Well what a perfectly lovely cosy pub this is. and excellent find. As soon as you walk in it’s just got a lovely feel about it, an old traditional pub with some lovely little nooks and crannies with cosy seating. I went here with my Dad on a Thursday evening at 6.30 and within an hour it was just about full. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would definitely visit again and thoroughly recommend!

Had an absolutely exquisite Sunday roast with friends at the cock and bottle. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed — exactly what you want on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The roast itself was spot-on. Perfectly cooked meats (we had a mix of beef and chicken), fluffy roast potatoes, rich gravy, and all the classic trimmings — including a massive Yorkshire pudding that deserves its own round of applause. The veggies were fresh and well-seasoned, and there was no skimping on the portions either. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the team made us feel right at home.Especially Martha who was a lovely girl and was chatty and made us feel very comfortable. it’s one of those places where you just settle in and don’t want to leave. Highly recommend if you’re after a proper Sunday roast with great company in a place that gets it just right. We’ll definitely be back next weekend

We drove down from Bath and wanted a relaxed peaceful lunch to start our holiday! This pub didn't disappoint 👌 lovely peaceful setting under a nice tree in the garden. I had a delicious mushroom risotto and my husband had a burger and chips. Both absolutely delicious. Bonus points from me for the bowl of summer veg they did for me despite it not being on the menu! A very nice sticky toffee pudding with ice cream to finish! Great value in a lovely setting! No complaints 👌

We visited today on a whim, and we were so impressed! The staff were absolutely fantastic—very friendly and welcoming. The food was wonderful! I ordered the seabass, my partner had the lamb shank, and our son enjoyed the steak burger. We all loved every bit of our meal. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée, and it was absolutely beautiful—thoroughly enjoyed it! They also made a lovely latte to finish off the meal. Many thanks to the Cock and Bottle team—we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Popped into here whilst on a business trip, greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, only a few tables taken but the phone was constantly ringing with telephone orders. Had a lovely lady and gentlemen serve us, very polite and attentive, nothing was too much trouble throughout the entire visit. Food was very good, tasty, hot, right amount of spice for what we ordered, tender and cooked very well. Definitely worth a visit!!

Great place with good food - have visited twice now when visiting the area. Nicely spiced and well cooked - enjoyed everything. Some good "Chef's specialties" dishes, and the others in my group enjoyed their food too. Only minor niggle was, on the recent visit, was one of the owners got distracted talking to a regular / friend at the table opposite us, which delayed us asking for something.

Three or four meals later and I am still saying it’s brilliant. The food is much better than the restaurants in Swanage, the staff are always very helpful and what else can I ask for? The loos are clean, which may be boring, but seems to be a good test for everything else nowadays. Bring an old pub it feels a bit odd, shape and decor wise, but I will keep coming back. Nothing to do with this place, but because it makes me smile….. The last time I got Indian food I had a slight problem with the bread. I told them not to worry though. It was a naan issue.

Stopped in here by chance for a pint and a takeaway while waiting for my train from Wareham back to London. Train ended up getting cancelled so I spent an hour and a half there. Fazana was incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive, even let me come and eat my meal inside and gave me a plate and a proper metal fork even though I'd paid takeaway prices. The food was absolutely delicious, I'm from London and have had literally thousands of curries, I've also been to India and I can honestly say this was in the top 5 South Asian meals I've ever had anywhere. Massively recommend. Also got into some fun interactions with some friendly local characters while I was eating- the kind of interactions that happen when a place sets a friendly tone. Can't recommend Monsoon enough!!!

Visited Monsoon as we love to visit places and try the local indian restaurant, this one had great reviews and they were all true! The level of service was fantastic and everydish was super tasty. We had poppadoms to start and the chutneys were fresh and a little different to the normal choices. The varieties of curry's made sure that both of us had a good range to chose from, even for myself as a vegetarian!

The food was terrible . The whole journey back to London I was in pain with stomach ache and as soon as i reached home i found out that I got diarrhoea. We ordered as take away and they didn’t even provided cutleries, my whole nails is stained as yellow because of the excessive turmeric in food. In addition to it, when we came to the restaurant the guy in front was not at all welcoming also by his facial expression it was clearly noticeable that he did not want us at the restaurant. Even for the order we had to call him multiple times. in general it is a complete 0 My whole trip to wareham was so good but at the end it went to worse because of this place. Will never recommend this restaurant

Our two night stay was bought for us through Red Letter Day Experiences however, we are so glad we found this little gem to book. After battling cancer this place and the people is just what we needed. The place was great, the room was clean and surprisingly large, food was just beautiful but mostly the staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. We were so close to Poole Quay which was great to explore, the sunshine was an added bonus. I would certainly stay again and encourage anyone venturing to Poole to give the Antelope a go. I'm up in Poole again to deliver some training.. So, I was looking somewhere to eat some food. After a good walk around the town I found myself stumbling upon this little pub. I was greeted by a really friendly member of staff and was advised to go and pick a seat out the back. I ordered myself the salt and pepper squid, a chicken and ham pie with mashed potato vegetables and onions rings and to finish off, I had Apple crumble with ice cream and custard. I'm not exaggerating here but the food was incredible, from the squid that was really fresh and cooked perfectly. Moving onto the pie it had a really nice thick crispy pastry with thick gravy and I'm not normally a fan of gravy but it was very nice. The mash potato was soft and you could tell it was fresh. The crumble was really nice although a smaller portion than I would normally have. It was just perfect as I am a bit greedy . There was a lovely atmosphere nice and cozy. If I come back to Poole, I would love to come back here again.

Food and service here was amazing tonight. The staff Toby and Lilly were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Toby recommended the chocolate fondue dessert and it did not disappoint. Melting chocolate from the centre of the cake it was heaven. The pesto and halloumi salad was great and husband was very happy with his lamb shank. Great atmosphere and beautiful restaurant that has blended modern decor with the beams and arches of the original building.

We stumbled upon the Antelopes Smugglers restaurant on our visit to Poole while on holiday in Dorset. And what a gem of a find. The setting has an old world meets modern decor, with the old brick work and wooden beams. It has clean modern bar and furniture. We were tired and hungry after our walk and I had the fish and chips and my partner had the beef rib bourgoignon. He said this was delicious, and my fish was fresh and so tasty. I can't comment on the hotel, as we didn't stay but the service in the restaurant was top rated. Our server Toby was helpful and attentive. Thank you

This place is fantastic for well-cooked, well-served evening meals! The menu is varied and the daily "Specials" are very good. It's best to reserve a table in advance, because it's a very popular venue - especially for Summer tourists visiting the area. Therefore, on occasion, increased demand for these excellent meals can give rise to extended waiting times - though the eventual meals are always "worth the wait"!😀

2.5 Star review maybe. Dashed for somewhere else to go and with hungry children, we popped into this authentic and rustic tea room. Entrance through the takeaway part with Sandwich’s and Paninis about £5.25. However faced with menus and feeling like we should just commit, paid well over the odds for our lunch. Gammon (actually plain ham) sandwich £9. Panini’s £11.25. Difference from the takeaway, tiny side salad and a table to eat at did not justify difference. So 3 sandwiches, 1 sausage roll, 3 drinks =£42. I know we could have left but not knowing area and a pressing need to stop felt obligated, however, and whilst against a meal deal, wish we had visited Sainsbury’s/Co-Op and sat by the very lovely and active river. Prices even if you are prepared to pay just don’t feel value for money.

Been here many times before and it’s always been great but this last visit was awful very very slow service 45mins + for 4 rolls and a sausage roll which they forgot and then resold to another customer. Rolls were incredibly disappointing for the price ! £5.10 for a roll 2 small slices of Brie and a smattering of red currant jelly. I will not be going here again which is a shame as have been coming here for 20+ years

Staff were lovely and welcoming, but the service was extremely slow - so much so that we left before our food came out because waiting almost an hour for 1 sandwich is straight up bad service. My partner has a mobility problem and it was hard for him to squeeze around the bed which took up most of the room. There was only one chair to sit on, probably because there wasn't room for another one. In addition, there is no lift but this is not mentioned on the hotel website. Fortunately we were only staying one night. The next morning I was asked if we enjoyed our stay. I pointed out the above issues. I got a very unfriendly and defensive response from the manageress/owner. I was told in no uncertain terms most hotels don't have lifts. That's news to me and clearly she goes to different hotels to the many I've been to. She's also obviously not heard of appropriate disability access. I would suggest if you don't want to hear what your guests think of their stay in your hotel don't ask them. This was an expensive and disappointing vist.

Visited for lunch and tried the crab sandwich. Unfortunately, the sandwich was too creamy, which overpowered the taste of the crab. Despite this, the staff were very polite and understanding—they didn’t charge us for the dish, which we appreciated. We felt a bit uncomfortable about it, but as it was already lunchtime and we needed to take some medication, we ate a little and left the rest. The café itself is very pleasant, with a lovely atmosphere. Although the dish didn’t work out, we’d be happy to return and try something else from the menu next time.

My mother and I have stayed at The Bear, Wareham four times now and each visit has been excellent. The rooms are well appointed, spotlessly clean with such comfortable beds and bedding. Breakfast is delicious and the evening meal was tasty too. The owner and her team of cubs are delightful, kind, helpful, smiley and always keen to ensure you have a great stay. We are booked to return again nearer Christmas 🎄 and as always we can't wait.

The vegetables are cooked in their own way with flavour and taste. Cauliflower cheese eg gorgeous. Vegan broccoli dish unbelievable with the most loveliest sauce of chimichurri 😍 Staff are really so kind. I had a little situation with my eye and I was looked after by the owners who genuinely care about their customers… the food and cleanliness is brilliant - I’m going to enjoy my beef pie now… Ellie the waitress is lovely too! The waitress Ruzana is soo kind and genuine and gentle, she belongs in a place with such lovely caring owners. Second time I have been here in two days just because of the gorgeous food and lovely vibe. Thanks. 🤩 p.s can I have a free pie for loving you ?

Excellent experience here. My wife and I took the bus to Wareham for some breakfast as we stayed locally in Swanage. We enjoyed a couple of coffees with a filling breakfast, and our waitress even created a Bear on the top of the latte! One of our waitress’ name was Felicity and she was incredibly talkative and friendly, the other was called Lexie or Lexa and was very smiley. Our service from them was outstanding and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I enjoyed a sausage sandwich which I believe was made with locally sourced sausages. 10/10 meal. Highly recommended. Thank you to the staff for such a good experience.

Lovely cafe with friendly, welcoming staff and delicious food and coffee. We were here on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and were sat out the front as we had our bikes with us and the kind lady explained how to get around the back so we could sit in their pretty courtyard for lunch and keep our bikes with us (we’d forgotten our locks). Being welcoming to cyclists is rare and appreciated. Excellent service and so friendly. Amazing club sandwich!

Restaurant
The Kings Arms Wareham is a traditional pub located in the heart of Wareham, offering classic pub grub and a warm atmosphere. The pub hosts community events and serves Sunday roasts alongside pints of ale, making it an ideal spot after a countryside walk. With its log fire during winter months, it provides a cozy setting for patrons and their furry friends. The establishment has a rich history dating back to 1865 when it was one of only five surviving pubs in town.
Fantastic find! Small local pub with lively friendly atmosphere. Food was amazing, 1 of us had the lasagne which was homemade and a really decent portion, it came with chunky, fluffy, crispy chips and lovely fresh dressed side salad with homemade coleslaw. The other 3 in iour party had the burger (huge and also homemade with cheese, a thick slice of chorizo, scrummy freshly beer battered onion rings and an onion jam/sticky relish), we all said it was the best burger we'd probably ever had (and we've had our fair share that's for sure) it came with the same sides as the previously mentioned lasagne. We are not local but come to Wareham regularly and will 100% be back and back and back lol, to try the other dishes on the menu, all of which we saw brought out for other tables looked amazing! Must also just mention the staff are really friendly and Ian is really funny and had us all laughing. Fab locals pub that's very welcoming to all.

Greeted with a smile and positive personality put us at ease straight away, we knew we had chosen the right place in town! The food was AMAZING really AMAZING,my burger beats anything I've had before, and yes, I've paid a lot more than here my wife had the camembert which also was truly FANTASTIC thank you to the chef, the owners, and all the staff we had in contact with you all nailed it. Quality, value, and service the holy trinity. If you're reading this, please believe me. This is definitely the place to eat. Bravo 👏

We had a wonderful dining experience at The King’s Arms in Wareham! The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Gammon Steak, Steak Pie, Beef Lasagne, and Spiced Chicken—each dish was cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and generously portioned. The steak pie was rich and comforting, the lasagne cheesy and hearty, the gammon paired perfectly with eggs which actually comes with pineapple but I swapped it to extra eggs, and chunky chips, and the spiced chicken was packed with flavour. We enjoyed it all with Madri beer and local ciders, which were a great complement to the meal. The service was top-notch, staff were friendly and attentive, and the pub had a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re in or around Wareham—its better to reserve your table but we just walked in as we were roaming around wareham and durdle door, great food, drinks, and service all in one place!

Delicious food and lovely staff. We were lucky to book a table on Easter Sunday and had the most delicious Sunday roasts with lots of veggies included on the plate. The desserts were equally delicious. We thought the service was friendly and had a great experience - would call again!

Where do i start! Delighted that this always lovely pub is now back open(why did it ever close!?). Now under new management and in my opinion better than ever. Parking out front is restricted to an hour now(same old same old!) but there is a small pub car park at the rear and free parking around the perimeter of Wareham. We visited twice. Once for a weekday lunch in the lovely back garden. Best burger I've had in a very long time! All lunch items were lovely. Generous portions and good value. Then back for Sunday dinner which was simply excellent! All items beautifully prepared and cooked. And lots of it! Ales well kept. Would be nice to see maybe one local guest ale? Not much more to say except:- Absolutely recommended!!

Drove past this historic pub and had to give it a visit. Great atmosphere and friendly locals, had their special of the day, roasted bacon chop with bubble and squeak. Absolutely delicious and a proper portion for the price.

If I had to choose only one food to eat until my last day, it would be Kings Arms creamed cabbage. I've never had anything that compares to this seemingly simple side dish, that excels in mouth feel, creaminess and depth of flavour. I regret I didn't take a picture of my lamb shoulder Sunday roast. The carrots and parsnips were on point, the meat very tender and there was enough gravy until the last bite.

I was interested to try their savory cream tea. I was a bit worried about how it would taste as I don't like onions that much. But, it was the best decision as I absolutely loved the onion chutney. Though it was almost crowded, I found a nice secluded spot to enjoy this delicious meal. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Wareham.

Allstars Sports Bar & Cafe is a well-maintained, comfortable bar that offers plenty of screens to watch sports and good food. It's usually busy, but the staff are polite and friendly. The only downside is that it's a bit "pub grub" in terms of flavour and portions.
Had an amazing breakfast and coffee. Slightly disconcerting entrance to the cafe through the leisure centre but the cafe itself is great, complete with an outdoor seating area which has amazing views. Highly recommended!

Found this when searching for Champions League football in Wareham - the options are very limited and i’m not a fan of the Antelope. Allstars is in a leisure centre, but don’t let that put you off. Once you get in, its got big screens plus a very decent projector screen for the big matches. Pool table, well priced food, wide selection of beers and ciders. Difficult not to rate this highly. Charlotte was fantastic behind the bar - a real credit to the establishment.

From the moment I saw this venue and met Heidi & Matthew I knew this would be the perfect place to hold our christening reception. Communication was faultless, food amazing and plenty of it, I couldn't fault the staff, we were a bit short on seats, but within a few minutes we had enough! We had hired someone to do some decorations in the room and I was worried as I wouldn't see them until we arrived, but Heidi spoke with the supplier and everything was perfectly set out when we arrived! I can't thank them all enough, it really was everything we wanted! Please don't hesitate to book this venue as you will not be disappointed! Thank you again xx

Updated review.. Sadly I've had to downgrade my review. As a group of ladies that meet every week is come to my attention one of our group is unable to come as she uses a wheel chair and the lift to access the all-stars cafe and bar had been out of order for some time which means she cannot attend. Please you wonderful people at always and the sports centre sort this out not only does that mean some disable people can't access the lovely food and drinks your serve but also you are losing revenue. It will be great to see it back in working order soon . A very enjoyable couple of hours were spent yesterday evening with friends for a chat . The young staff who work there are lovely and friendly and prompt with their service. We (16 of us) booked up for a meal before Xmas, the choice of meals was excellent and everyone said their various meals were very tasty and good portion size, book if you all want to get your food at the same time. We did and service was fantastic with everything arriving together The selection of homemade cakes is a beautiful sight to see when ordering your coffee. I must say I've indulged in a cake a few times and even bought cakes to take home for members of my family as they are so delicious. All stars do catered for gluten free etc customers too. Well done All Stars you truly are stars.

Had lunch her on Saturday 13th Sept, 2025. Front of house staff were nice enough, food was disappointing. Gravy made from instant granules, pie was clearly reheated in microwave as pastry was soft, vegetables were very average. Nice place to stay, good location, good food. One real downside, plumbing is pathetic. My Daughters room couldn't use the toilet as it was blocked, my room, no hot water in the sink, had to boil a kettle and the shower was a dribble. Such a shame for a lovely place.

Lived in wareham 15 yrs ago and always went to the more popular one off the traffic lights (wont say the name) recently moved back and naturally ent to the old faithful. But it was awful, bland, tasteless and greasy! So we took a chance at a new one further up ghe main road. Again greasy over cooked meat etc. Tonight we decided to bite the bullet and try KW we were surprised to find it was very good! Food tasted fresh and place even tho bit bland in decor, young lady serving was sweet, and place looked clean we watched through the door at the kitchen cooking area and where the food was being taken from and all looked fresh and clean. I had chicken chow mein chicken tasted fresh, nice lot of bean sprouts, hubby had king prawn chow mein chicken balls and ribs, he was very impressed with the tender meat and fresh food. So whether this time was pure coincidence or not our experience was well worth not cooking tonight. Just one negative though!! No fortune cookies 😢

OMG never again! Should of stayed in and had beans on toast! The chow main was disgusting I watched the lady on the till fill the tub with noodles then go to a pot to put on top the mushrooms and soggy beansprouts and poured the sauce into the tub, looked like a pile of sick! Chicken chow main was the same! Chicken fried rice was a let down, chicken was cold still felt it was frozen! Salt and pepper chicken was in the tub on top of half a lettuce? Spent £50 money wasted, didn't and couldn't eat it! Read the other reviews and thought Hay give them a go they might of improved BUT omg everyone was right! It was disgusting the worse Chinese I've ever had!
Donna B — Google review
Popped in for first time on Tuesday. Not sure if the chef was on holiday BUT - Quite honestly the worst Chinese we have ever had. Chicken & Chips, chips were still raw and the chicken was over cooked seemingly in a microwave, needed a hammer and chisel to cut it!! The supposedly BBQ Sauce was tasteless, red and watery, no seasoning or Chinese taste at all. Also had BBQ spare ribs - ribs were undercooked and tough and the same tasteless red sauce. Also had sweet and sour king prawn balls which were again tasteless and we have never tasted sweet and sour sauce like it. Gave it 1 star for the prawn crackers We try to support local businesses but in this case will never go back. All our meals were thrown in the bin. The only highlight was the smile and friendliness of the young lady who served us. Such a disappointment.
Ray D — Google review
The food's edible but as each of the past four times we've been here, there has been a different young staff member being yelled at and looking upset, we're not going to eat here again. I'd rather drive the extra distance to Wool, for more tasty food and better employers.
Becky S — Google review
read all the bad reviews and was sceptical, but don’t rate any of the other two chinese’s in wareham so thought i’d give it a try and it’s by far the best one. only got a few bits but was tasty and hot. some of the reviews definitely unfair so credit where it’s due
Reece C — Google review
Food is okay, the man who cooks is very nice and always has a smile on his face if i see him!
Becky M — Google review
Myself and my family were staying locally in Wareham and decided one evening to have a takeaway meal from K W. We were subjected to a crime against peaking and Cantonese cuisine. The food was absolutely dreadful and I can not remember ever having had a worse Chinese takeaway. The only highlight was the very pleasant young lady that took our order.
Chris M — Google review
Worst meal I have ever had. To much oil. No flavor. The meat was like rubber Nd the chicken balls were fried so many times they were like concrete. Been on the toilet all night due to the oil. DO NOT USE IF YOU VALUE A QUALITY MEAL. WISH I CHECKED OUT REVIEWS FIRST

During a short visit to Dorset, it was unexpected to discover that many pubs in the area do not offer food on Monday evenings. However, while exploring for a place to dine, we stumbled upon the Dorset Grill House. The service provided by a delightful lady was excellent and the prices were reasonable. The meals were served steaming hot, prepared swiftly, and boasted incredible flavors. Although our choice was limited to lamb kebabs, they were flawlessly cooked.
Great local chippy! Do pay them a visit when you're done with The Tank Museum. Had cod and chips and a cheeseburger meal. All hot, fresh and top quality! Highly recommend! 😎
Alchemik-79 — Google review
Ordered a kebab, when it arrived half was missing, OK gave them the benefit of the doubt. Stupidly went back, another day, phoned at 7. Tried to order a pizza, was told certain topping's, were not available. OK, no worries. Asked for a chicken donor. Was told not available. So went for a chicken shish. Waited 2 hours. When it arrived was cold. Wrong. £8.50 for this!! And a pound delivery. Used to be nice, convenient food. Wouldn't even give this to the cat!! 💩🤢🤮
Mark B — Google review
Used to love this place, however ive been really disappointed with our most recent experience. Food took two hours to arrive and our large portion of chip shop chips with salt and vinegar were actually a really small portion of dry oven chips. Really sad to see this as it used to be good, unfortunately won't be returning.
Charlotte C — Google review
I read the reviews before eating here so fully aware of what others had commented. I like to make my own mind up so thought I would give it a go. It was born more from necessity rather than anything else as we were on holiday, it was a Sunday evening and nothing else in the area seemed to be open. They also delivered which was bonus. I’m sorry to say, it was the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The food took forever to turn up so when it did arrive it wasn’t very warm at all. My fish was very undercooked, it was still quite raw inside. The chips were also inedible, tasting somehow stale and undercooked. Two cheeseburgers also went in the bin because they were equally unpleasant. I spent nearly £60 and it all went in the bin, extremely disappointing! This place could do a lot better, maybe the owners need to sit down and sample their own foods to see where improvements need to be made. Also some food handling refresher training would be a start.
A K — Google review
We ordered fish and chips. The fish was the worse fish and i ever had. The batter was tasteless and undercooked . None of us could finish it. It was a disappointing.
Moahmmed M — Google review
I would not bother wasting your money. This place had gone downhill massively. £22 for 2 extremely dry, hard, chicken kebabs. Took 90 minutes to deliver for it to just end up in the bin. How is this place still even open after reading the reviews?
Naomi S — Google review
Food was awful. Not often I see the kids refuse to eat chips. Batter was soggy too. Wouldn't go back.

We went to Dorset 4 a couple of days & were very surprised 2 find that most pubs don't serve food on a Monday evening. Driving around 2 find a place 2 eat, we came upon Dorset Grill House. A very pleasant lady served me, good value 4 money, food was piping hot, prepared quickly & tasted great. We only had lamb kebabs, but it was perfect. Shame ur not more local 2 us xx

Initially apprehensive about dining at Mash and Barrel due to unfavorable reviews, our expectations were surpassed. Although the service left something to be desired, the cuisine exceeded our satisfaction. We ordered two adult appetizers, two adult hamburgers, a generous children's meal, delectable desserts, and each indulged in three refreshing beverages. Remarkably priced at 60 units of currency, the food was truly delightful.
the food is amazing but the staff are not the best. long waiting times usually unless early in the morning or very late. overall pretty nice you can also see outside to the pool and the inside one.
Medical M — Google review
Ordered at 6.30.. finally ate at 8.20. Had 2 kids under 2.5 yrs with us, it was a nightmare. Everything was awful, genuinely the worst meal I’ve ever had. Tables were sticky, we had to clean them ourselves before we sat down. We ordered on the app and no one told us how long the wait would be. After 45 mins we enquired and were told it could be another 40 mins… it was another hour. When the food arrived it was just warm not hot, soggy chips, the corn on the cob wasn’t whole, it was a quarter of a cob and burnt. My son’s pizza was meant to be ham, cheese and tomato, it was mainly just tomato, small bit of cheese and the ham was thrown on top, not actually part of then pizza. One of the two lagers they had on tap ran out. You’d think Rockley Park would be prepared for it being bank holiday Monday + half term but they weren’t at all. Just happy to take everyone’s money on the app and hope for the best. I felt sorry for the staff waiting on the tables who were very young and left to deal with a lot of very unhappy families.
Laura M — Google review
Oh dear. The low review is mainly due to extraordinarily slow service times. I'm talking beyond belief times. But it seems that the times stem from huge inefficiencies. First off, I went to order online, as recommended. My table number was 47. The table numbers online ended at 40 (there were several more tables physically higher than 40). After wasting that time, I went to the bar to order the food. I was the only person waiting and it took a good 4-5 minutes to be acknowledged. I counted a total of 7-9 staff behind and around the bar in those 4 or so minutes. That sort of logic continued. When I did order, I was told that two of the meals were unavailable and two of the drinks were also not in stock. Back to the table to ask how my family wanted to change their orders. I happened across a friendly and helpful staff member (I think his name was Hayden), who then offered to take the order at the table. All good. The kids meal arrived after a fair timeframe. No drinks. The drinks them arrived after the child meal was finished. However, one drink was missing. It took some discussion with two people for them to check and confirm that the missing drink was, indeed, paid for. They were working off a receipt that simply didn't show it. Whereas their system did show it. Most interactions with human stuff were decent. The helpful staff member (Hayden) was a real exception to the rule. We found him to be very professional, proactive and affable. However, the trouble continued. We ordered an extra side meal as well as desserts and then went on to wait a genuine age. Eventually, after enquiring, we were told that the kitchen lost the ticket. The dessert arrived fairly soon after, but the side meal did not. Kids are well past it, by now, and adults are fading, fast. Staff are buzzing around, visible and seemingly working hard. The place is not busy, but clearly something isn't working right at this place.
David B — Google review
LONG WAIT! Long wait, inexperienced young staff that can’t run the place! When our food finally arrived after more than 1 hour, they had no forks! NO FORKS! Couldn’t eat our dinner and it went cold! Such a shame because this is a good location it’s just really badly run! They should really hire more experience staff and take a good look at the experience people get here! Food was ok. Drink pricey.
Rachael H — Google review
Absolutely shocking food quality. Kids pasta sent out still frozen in the middle. This was then replaced with yet another frozen pasta!! How hard is it to get this right? Shows an absolute lack of quality control and clearly not probing food to check temperatures! The other 2 plates were absolutely diabolical too. A full refund was given, however we had to leave with a very hungry child. If you can’t manage basic tomato pasta then you shouldn’t be open!
Lewis O — Google review
Over priced and small portions. Kids meals are pretty much the same size as the adults meals that are three times the price. The only decent food and price were the desserts
Louise H — Google review
Place was open and not closed. Food was about 20mins arriving so perfect for a pint before hand . Most the staff were polite and friendly. Place was fairly clean and tidy could have been better . But nothing like a lot of the reviews say
David T — Google review
Only one person serving, and the staff had absolutely no clue who was next - blissfully ignoring those who’d been waiting forever and prioritising newcomers instead. Beyond frustrating. Took a ridiculous 25 minutes just to be served at the bar and make four Aperol Spritz. Rather than using a bit of common sense and pouring the drinks efficiently, they faffed about with two shots of Prosecco per glass like it was a chemistry experiment - waiting for the bubbles to settle each time. Completely clueless. Easily could’ve saved 10 minutes with a smarter approach. And to top it off? Outrageously overpriced. Total shambles

Excellent food and service, prices were amazing for the big portion of food given. Glad I made the decesion to pop in. The Romanian Breakfast was fantastic. Cafe was clean and tidy in all areas, could see into kitchen and that looked clean and tidy as well. Well worth the visit.

the food is very good, aesthetically pleasing and rich on the plate, but the cleanliness was definitely a minus. dry flowers in vases, dusty, panels under the bar dirty... overall, a lot could be improved, sorry

A very nice little café. Food is affordable and there are over 20 bottles of sauce to choose from.
Anonymous U — Google review
Food was nice but salad was clearly bought in a bag from round the corner in Sainsburys. Always disappointing when they don‘t quickly whip up their own… on bright side quiche was tasty and homemade. The large sauce bottles really cheap up the atmosphere like a old kebab shop?… maybe use different smaller containers? The shop layout is a little odd, feels like you are in her front living room. Didn‘t seem to be a bathroom on site (though we didn‘t ask). Walking past from outside it smells like a bit of a cheapy fry-up Cafe place. Definitely better than that once in, but first impressions are everything and many people walked past while we dined. Service was very friendly and quick though we were only ones in. Best of luck for the store!

Fabulous evening, thank you for making it so special. The food and wine were glorious and the setting with just four tables is inviting and intimate. The tapas were so reasonable that we worked our way from top to bottom of the menu. Nothing disappointed. The black pudding, chorizo and egg was a highlight.

Visited for the 1st time and we both enjoyed it very much. Nice table and friendly service. Ordered 4 different tapas and some fries . My mushrooms and then gambas were very good indeed and my partner said the cauliflower and then the egg/black pudding combo was delicious. Nice glass of wine to go with it and it was a very nice dinner without being too heavy on a very hot evening. Prices are very reasonable and very good value .We will be visiting again thank you.

Had a lovely meal at Le Petit Vin. Pete was an exceptional Chef/Host for the evening. He made us feel very welcome, and the service was excellent. Really tasty food and a great selection of wine. The cosy restaurant is suitable for couples or small groups. I would highly recommend this little gem in Wareham.

Cute and cosy little tapas restaurant in Wareham. It's open 5-11pm and can be hired for private events I believe. There is a simple but tasty selection of Tapas and a good wine menu. Good for couples, small groups. Probably wouldn't take young kids here.

Perfect food, setting and service for my baby shower!! The team couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating when we were planning my baby shower. They provided non alcoholic arrival cocktails of my choice for my guests and even made changes to the menu that made dishes pregnancy friendly. Everyone had a great time and I can’t wait to come back!!

This was our third visit to the tapas restaurant. We raved about the place adter our first visit.... good food and great value. However, the last visit was very disappointing. The food was fine, but the portions were tiny and quite poor value for money. I thought that £8 for three small meatballs in a tomato sauce was a tad exorbitant, but £5 for three thin slices of grilled aubergine was very cheeky. One has to satisfy one's customers in order to get repeat business, so I would suggest that the managementlook again at their business model if they hope to keep the the place going. Disappointed.

Driven past so many times and never stopped but always wondered what it was Then came camping at Steeple Leeze and popped up on the off chance and we were not disappointed. Great street food cooked to order. Loved it and the staff were friendly, cheeky and so helpful to enable you to make your Thai delight a great delight.🎉 Defo worth a visit and it won't be my last. A gem on top of the hill (weather permitting). A great way to just relax and enjoy good food. They have Pimms! Menus are not set. So please beware. They change a lot, says the ladies who man the trailers. There are toilets. The place is clean and beautiful. Please leave it how you found it. Plenty of bins to put your business into. Enjoy!

My first visit, we had spring rolls, freshly made and cooked whilst we waited, followed by green chicken curry for myself and my husband had chicken Padang. we also tried some local Hattie Browns Ale. The food was hot, flavoursome and freshly cooked on site. Well done, such a great idea, and the views were great .

I've eaten Thai food in several countries, including Thailand, and this ranks up there with the best. From this visit I can certainly recommend the excellent vegetable spring rolls and the delicious vegan green curry. I hope to go again before the Pop-Up season ends, sometime in October, and try more of the menu. Hattie Brown's bottled beer also available here

The best Chinese takeaway I have been in years! I was visiting Dorset for the bank holiday weekend and found this gem. If I lived in Dorset I would be. Regular! Sadly this place is 150 miles from where I live 😔

The food from here is one of the best Chinese meals we've had . Especially the sweet and sour pork with crispy chips

Place looks tired but don't let that fool you. Food and service was excellent also there were some regulars ordering/picking up so always a good sign.
Lyndsey M — Google review
Honest appraisal Worst Chinese I have ever had,I am not kidding.the sweet and sour sauce was bland and tasteless, spring rolls had better out of Iceland, the seaweed was appalling salty bland and taste of the oil it was cooked in,the king prawn chop suey tastless definatley not king prawns. So all in all a total waste of money .
Andrew H — Google review
The food and service is spot on. As another reviewer said, dont be put off by the premises. Cash only and only one cashpoint in Bovvi and they charge. Food is 10 out of 10.

This is my local Chinese takeaway and I have had it many times. To be fair the food is not that bad! But don't try the chips and chicken because he chicken was literally cardboard.
Jimal G — Google review
We've visited twice after switching from another local Chinese. There's plenty of parking, the lad who serves you is really friendly and the food is prepared quickly and is excellent. Not overly greasy and with each dish having a different flavour. I find with some places all the dishes basically taste the same but that's not the case here. One warning, it's cash only, but otherwise, highly recommended!
