Upon arrival, the front-of-house staff member seemed disinterested, offering no greeting or conversation, and simply directing us to our table. The wine list was overpriced, with the cheapest Chablis priced at £140. While I understand corkage and service charges, this particular wine retails for significantly less. The menu's descriptions were promising, but the dishes themselves were underwhelming and lacked flavor. The tempura batter was greasy and more reminiscent of chip shop batter, and the food overall was under-seasoned. The halibut main course was disappointingly small. Overall, my experience at The Jetty was overpriced and underwhelming.

First time visit , although been to the jetty at Christchurch many times. Restaurant well positioned for diners with views towards marina. Service team knowledgeable, thoughtful and attentive. Overall food was good nothing stood out as not good , and there are many good restaurants , what would take to great - finesse of presentation, hitting that second level flavour to take the food to next level . Would I go back - yes !

Large airy modern restaurant and bar area with a nautical theme. Good view over the marina through the 180degree floor to ceiling windows. Staff are lovely, fast and helpful. Menu is posh, modern British with a tight a la carte menu and a fixed price menu. Starters and mains were all good including the warm bread with taramasalata butter which was a real taste sensation.

Great meal with great service from Tom. We started with the oysters and then proceeded to try everything we could. The souffle are phenomenal, the catch of the day, a sea bass, was delicious. The chateaubriand cooked perfectly, but in the UK they don't season it, so if your from the states before to ask for extra extra season or some sea salt from kitchen. One of best restaurants in a hotel we had during our travels and a big thank you to Tom who really took care of us, Would visit again!

Stayed for a long weekend at the Harbour Hotel before heading to Scotland. The service at The Jetty was fantastic. Ross, the manager, made sure every interaction was perfect. Staff was so friendly. Remembered us every night. We came in late for drinks two nights in a row and dinner on the 3rd night. Champagne was cold the prawns were crispy the pea and asparagus risotto was deliciously cheesy. My husband is now a big fan of sticky toffee pudding! They were all very quick to facilitate a couple of requests. Can't speak highly enough of the entire jetty staff. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend! .

Had a lovely dinner at The Jetty. We were quite early as we had somewhere to be that evening but the staff were all friendly and ready to welcome us. Throughout the evening service was attentive, and the food was excellent. We had fish and chips, and it was the sort of fish and chips that reminds you how good it can be, and how poor it often is. The atmosphere was a touch flat, but we were eating at 6pm so that is not a huge surprise, more our fault for eating so early. Would definitely go back when in Southampton

I literally couldn't wait to get my phone back from repair to leave this review. The service was fantastic, we were welcomed and seated even though we were a few minutes and the kitchen was basically closing and felt so bad as we kept them in longer than they should have been there. Everything was incredible! But, I have to say my dessert was THE BEST dessert I had. It was a soufflé and I still have an after taste for it. Honestly amazing food and a fantastic venue/service. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

I have come here few times always had great services , dog friendly . Service from waiter man bun is always been polite and great with everyone . Always feel u been looked after when y go there. The food has always been great.

Absolutely fantastic. We hadn't visited here in a few years and WOW, it was amazing. The specials list was a great mix and reasonable prices. The crab was the perfect temperature and the mussels were bang on. My desert stole the show though; Winter Eton Mess. The flavour and texture profiles were incredible, truly tasted like autumnal bliss. Will have to try and recreate it at home as it's rare I find a desert where the concept is so novel and so good. Extra bonus was that the atmosphere and staff were both lovely too!

The best mid week meal. 3 courses for £20 and the food was amazing. Great portions and the staff were lovely. Also have a whole 3 course vegan menu. Highly recommend and will be going back!

Superb food and service. Glad we stumbled upon this place during our walk around. Mussels were cooked to perfection that they just melted in your mouth. Desserts were also fantastic. Great portions, was able to eat a 3 course meal and just satisfying enough. Thanks to our waitress Isabella for a lovely experience.

Great service. Recommended the crab linguine (they tastes better than they look) and excellent brownie! We also tried grilled plaice on the seasonal menu, it was delicious. The ribeye and banana rum ice cream was alright.

I took my partner here for lunch on her birthday. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. We had the calamari and mussels to begin with and then we both had the hake main. All the food was excellent quality and presented nicely. Will be going back again.

Deva good! A really classy little Indian cuisine restaurant. Easily found on walkable High Street. We arrived early for dinner midweek so no reservations were required. Service was friendly and prompt. The food, the food, the food!!! OMG, did I say how good the food is?? We were only in Southampton for two days and we went here twice! I think my favorite thing was how much joy the food gave to me.

Absolutely excellent meal at Bayleaf. We were staying 1 night in Southampton and looked for a local restaurant. Bayleaf ticked all the boxes, most of all there are so many Indian dishes that we had never seen before. I had a Tamarind chicken which was delightful. It has a deep sweetness from the tamarind and tomatoes and a nice kick. My wife had a duck dish which was exquisite and another dish we had never tried before. Great service from nice staff 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was absolutely amazing, chicken was beautifully cooked. 10/10 would recommend the chicken tikka madras! Service was exceptional - the staff even noticed my son take off his jumper and asked if we would like the air con above us switched on for a little while, and then kept checking in to check we weren’t too cold. Little noisy but it was a busy Saturday night in the city centre. Will definitely be returning if in the area!

Great food. Service was a little slow as they were full but guess that's to be expected. We had booked but got seated a bit late due to how busy they were. Took around 50 mins to get our mains (we didn't have starters). But we weren't in a rush so just enjoyed chatting. The food itself was great. Nice portions and decent price. Came to £30 each with 2 beers per person and sides. (£26 without a tip). Would visit again, perhaps when a little less busy 🙂.

Needed a takeaway and these guys supplied an excellent lamb curry with the best thick gravy. Generous raita, chutney, moist rice and paratha. Thanks. We would be regulars if we lived in Southampton. Fair price too.

This is an amazing Indian restaurant. I’ve been to Indian restaurants all over the world and this is definitely in the top five. First class atmosphere and service, decor was decadent with beautiful white tablecloths. Wonderful staff very attendant and cared about my experience. The food was amazing. I loved the caramelised onion on top of the veg rice and probably the bestest Nan I’ve ever had with a caramelised top. Definitely the best thing of Southampton and I will definitely be back. The doorman is also a massive bonus.

I had booked a table for my family, as it was his special birthday and had requested for a surprise cake slice to be brought at the end, but this wasnt done and neither asked for courtesy. The starters we had, mixed kebab was good but the portion was less as compared to other Indian restaurants. We had lamb and chicken thali, 3 different curries, rice, naan and tandoori 2 small pieces, but all the curries were not good as they were the same base, with different meats chucked in. We spoke to the manager to express our disappointment and his response was, I did not cook this food, but the chef did. So offered to get another dish, but he said it will be the same. Totally waste of our time on our special day and rhe special request was not facilitated. Also, they sat us down, in the basement area, which was clostrophobic, loud, noisy, stuffy and sad environment. If you have good taste for fine dining, there are better options.

Had a great night with work colleague friends at the Coriander lounge. Such a lovely atmosphere. The food was some of the best Indian food I’ve had with natural authentic flavours. The service was excellent and all the staff were so polite and friendly. We were offered a complimentary night cap too. I will definitely be back.

Having booked a show at the local theatre we researched and selected this restaurant in the main as it had a lovely menu and was walking distance to the hotel and theatre. Booked over the phone and the gentleman was lovely. We arrived and from the first moment to the last the service was great. We especially liked the chef / owner coming to each table to ask how the food and service was. The service stayed already was great and the food was lovely. Indeed my favourite bruschetta to date and I’ve been Italy a few times too. The pasta was terrific and puddings superb. Would we come back if we were in the area again absolutely. 💯

Decided to have dinner here after a show at the Mayflower. Had some starters, pasta and shared a dessert. The food was amazing, heavenly soft ciabatta with pesto, sauce in seafood pasta was delicious and one of the best tiramisu we've had in the UK. Will definitely be back to try specials! The atmosphere was also nice, with soft quiet music and gentle light. Service was good, we felt cared for but not overly, which I always appreciate. It's a great place for a nice dinner with a date or a mate, highly recommend to try.

After shopping in the city, we come for dinner as recommendation by Google. We are surprised by their food, their service and the atmosphere of the restaurant, simply but style. Their Italian cuisines are deliciousand we highly recommend the mussels, hake, spaghetti and desserts. Yummy！

Made a booking at Soleto in the afternoon and arrived in the evening greeted with a smile and guided to our table and from there the evening was just sublime. The food and service was just unchallenged. I didn’t even Ben manage to take photos of the food because it was gone before I even thought about it! The recommendations on the food were spot on! Portion sizes were great and food was simply delicious! Best dinner out in years! Absolutely no complaints here!! Not the cheapest but here you get what you pay for really applies. Service and food are up to par, a special place to enjoy your dinner, would be back if opportunity presents itself! Just be careful with Uber when getting out of there! Drivers like to drop you when they see better offer(s). I ended up paying 3 drivers and hoping to get reimbursed on one of the 2 that dropped me!

Delicious food from the Soleto Bistro this evening. Very nice atmosphere, attentive staff and lovely and clean. Will definitely be back soon.

Enjoyed a delicious three course meal here. We were fortunate enough to be seated on a Friday evening without having booked. A little on the pricey side and I'm not a fan of a 12.5% service charge that is automatically added on to the bill, however the ambience and service was spot on. The chef even came out to see that guests were enjoying their food. My only advice is not to go particularly hungry unless you plan to have multiple courses or a couple of sides because the portions are a little modest.

Perfectly place near the red ferry. Came here after our day out on the Isle of Wright. Managed to get a table and had a nice selection of food to eat. Service was good even though they were fairly busy.

We have been coming to La Regata for several years and this place never lets us know. The combination of fantastic, authentic cuisine, atmosphere, and the team makes Le Regata a very special place for us. You feel like you have been transported to Spain and the don't want to leave. Stunning little restaurant on two floors. We went for tapas style food, the restaurant reccomends 3-4 dishes per person. We would suggest 3 if hungry and can order more if needed as quite filling portions Very quick to receive food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. A lot of chorizo on the menu and a (un)healthy amount of cheese for those dishes which makes it feel great value for money. Will be coming back

The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, really made the experience special. The food was just amazing — every single dish was packed with flavour. The tapas were delicious (the albondigas and crackling pork were unreal!) and the seafood paella was perfect. Portions were generous and everything tasted super fresh. Went for dinner with a friend. Sushi came out and within 5 minutes, there was a swarm of 5-10 flies that just kept coming and flying around and on the sushi. I told the waitress who was serving us that there are flies around and she came and started shooing them away rather than making an effort to do something about this seriously concerning issue. I then requested to move tables and she hesitated before agreeing after I insisted a second time. We moved to another table, they brought our food and the flies shortly followed thereafter. I felt sick and couldn’t eat anymore. When she came back, I told her the flies all over our food is unacceptable and she said we’re the only table that had flies, no other table, and that we brought them with us. Taken aback by her response, I reiterated that it just isn’t acceptable and most of the sushi was untouched because of this. My friend took away her food (cooked food that the flies didn’t really approach) and she asked if we wanted to take the sushi and I said of course not. She came back with our bill, with nothing reduced or removed and no amendments made to rectify this atrocious food safety risk. I reiterated again that this should not happen and she once again said that it was only us experiencing this and made a joke that we’re wearing perfume that smells sweet. I said I’ve come here several times and this has never happened, and said I won’t be returning again. She took payment with no apology or acknowledgment of the issue, no rectification, and yes I will surely not be returning and am frankly concerned for the food hygiene in this place. I should’ve noticed the 4 star hygiene rating before entering (which I imagine should be lower…) Otherwise, other wait staff seemed friendly and smiled, but still would never ever return at the risk of eating something bad. I took a video near the end where you can see 1/4th of the flies around us flying on the table and food (having calmed down at this point in comparison to the entire 40 minutes we were there). Honestly regret not just getting up and leaving then and there. Horrible experience, and a shame because this place used to be one of the better ones around. Came here on the Southampton Food Tour (June '25). I've never been a fan of Japanese food but this has turned me. Delicious sushi, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Will 100% be back! Oh, and the plum wine and the matcha roll cake are awesome!

Ordered via UberEats and the unagi don had so many bones as if no preparation at all… Both bowl have bones… I need to pick them out myself.. and the takoyaki lacking in sauce and bonito flakes… it’s also quite underwhelming.

Be aware if you order delivery! I have visited Sakura several times and enjoyed their food. Sometimes I order their delivery. In the delivery app, they have an option for a smaller portion of salmon don. It usually contains about 80-85g of salmon sashimi. I know this because I’m on a diet, so I weigh and record everything I eat. However, this time, it turns out to be only 55 grams of salmon (about 4 pieces of sashimi), which is almost 30% less than the usual weight. I called the restaurant and told the owner about this situation. The owner said, “ It must be because the staff at the back of the kitchen have been nice and put too much fish in the past.” That is very funny. Thank you for letting me know that I have been treated well secretly.

Lovely little place for lunch! There’s on street pay & display parking right outside or a multi-storey right behind. Service was brilliant, the lady who took our order was so friendly and helpful and was very attentive throughout our lunch. They’re also very attentive with allergies and made sure to separate things out or recommend alternatives. We definitely ate with our eyes and ordered more than we could finish but everything was delicious! Lovely decor inside and great location with decently priced food!

I am quite delayed in posting this review as we went on Valentine’s Day: This is relevant because the staff put a flower decoration on our table and they said that we could take it home.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Southampton! It’s my third time here, and I keep coming back—no doubt I’ll be back again on my next trip. It’s always the culinary highlight of my visit, and I eat out a lot. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate the amazing variety of options for both vegetarians and vegans. I’m obsessed with their spicy potatoes, hummus, and lentil soup—but honestly, everything I’ve tried here has been absolutely heavenly. Don’t miss it!

Beity was an okay experience for me. The food was standard but did lack some flavour and was slightly overcooked. The food lacked oomph and presentation was not the best. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was okay. I personally would not be going back here but it was overall an okay experience

Service was great. The gentleman who served us was very professional, attentive and accommodating to any requests. Atmosphere was also great. Food was average, although we did arrive at the end of the day so perhaps it wasn’t as fresh as it would be during normal hours. The waiter however went above me beyond to resolve this issue. Overall it was a nice experience and I would come back again to try different meals for sure.

Visited Beity for the first time this evening and was super impressed! Food is fresh, delicious and tasty (service is also excellent - shout out to the two guys who served us, your customer service skills were on point!) the pictures really speak for themselves. May even be the best Lebanese we have ever tasted. Highly recommend.

After two long days of travel we made our way to TGI Fridays in Southampton. I have to say the staff at the take out, oops sorry, take away at the bar were so fantastic to accommodate some allergies. The service was top notch and super friendly. Extra shout out to Ivan for the chat.

Really nice bar staff and servers, very friendly and helpful but, food was absolutely tasteless, fries didn’t even taste like fries and the burger was chewy and had no flavour. I wish I went to McDonalds next door for half the price, £19 British pounds this burger and fries cost me the “mother clucker burger” you expect something abit more extravagant, not even any bacon just simply a chicken fillet for 10x the price.

Standard chain restaurant, some not so interested receptionists but once seated service was good, attentive and polite. Food was good, not amazing but perfectly edible and couldn't complain about anything. Service was quick, food was hot, just felt slightly mass produced.

Service is slow. My salad was £16 totally overpriced and there were a few lettuce leafs on my plate with 2 pieces of egg and half a tomato. And no I am not exaggerating. The salad crunched between my teeth and not in a good way. My husbands fries were cold. He would've had the salad if there was a reasonable choice in dressings. He doesn't like spice and that's all they have. No regular dressings. I'm disappointed in Southampton in general as it's grimy and totally overpriced!! Can't wait to leave tomorrow.

Ash was our waiter and she looked after us from start to finish. The food was ok but service was the best. She made sure our drinks where topped up all the time and that we was not waiting for nothing. Kept us informed about everything. Overall great service

Food was really nice except the steak, it wasn’t cooked as we asked for it to be and meat was really chewy. Employee and manager took it professionally, we got apologised and the steak was refunded. Beef burger and chicken wings were delicious. Also we had cocktails and the have 2 for 1 offer which is really good.

Great pub to go to for an away fan visiting St. Mary's which is just a short walk down the road. Nice beer garden so beers in the sunshine. Food was fantastic and didn't take to long considering the pub was packed. DJ spinning the tunes help create and great vibe. The pub is a 20 minute walk from central station so not too bad although up hill, Would recommend.

I recently visited The Rockstone in Southampton to try out their exciting collaboration with Woosabi Asian Street Kitchen, and I must say – the food was absolutely outstanding. From bao buns to Wagyu smash burgers, every dish was packed with bold, vibrant flavours that truly elevated the pub dining experience. The fusion of classic pub charm with Woosabi’s Asian-inspired menu is a brilliant concept. The salted fries had a subtle truffle hint, It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the culinary side of things. However, the experience wasn’t without its drawbacks. The food took a little longer than expected to arrive, which was noticeable given the otherwise efficient vibe of the place. Also, while the venue itself is cosy and welcoming, the lack of music or ambient sound left the atmosphere feeling a bit flat – some background music would have added a lot to the overall vibe. Still, the quality of the food makes it worth the visit and I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. Just hoping next time there’s a bit more energy in the room to match the flavours on the plate. Rating: 4/5 – Incredible food, but ambience and speed could be improved.

Food was great - small menu but enough choice for a pub. the flavours were amazing but we all loved the cauli bites and the waygu smashed burger - incredible - great selection of beer too! We went as a family with kids and the server - Shannon- went to the kitchen to sort a plain burger for our grandson. Now let’s talk about Shannon - if everyone in the world was Shannon we would be living our best life - she smiled, engaged and nothing was too much trouble ! What an absolute star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a hidden gem, popped in for lunch and were not disappointed. The menu is really different, all Asian inspired and very very tasty. Good sized portions and a great choice of beers, will definitely revisit!

Tasty Korean inspired pub food and great service. Korean chicken bao bun was juicy and crispy, and a very generous portion of boneless chicken to share as well! Nice indie soundtracks playing for a chill lunch

An excellent" modern" brewery bar set in an ancient stone building, directly opposite the Red Funnel ferry terminal. A superb range of home brewed real ales and craft beers is available. Great atmosphere, fascinating interior, great service. A must for any beer enthusiast - welcomes families and children too. Some outdoor seating albeit on the busy road out front. Best parking for drivers is in the nearby Mayflower Park, at £1.50 for 2 hours.

First of all, the atmosphere inside the store is great, making good use of the old building. The staff are also friendly and provide good customer service. I had the recommended food and beer. It was delicious and the portions were generous. I was visiting Southampton for work and stopped by. I would like to come back next time I come to this city. Thank you for the meal ♪

Without doubt some of the finest cuisine I’ve had in a long time. I went for the Venison pie. It was incredible. Prices are reasonable for the quality you receive. Would come back in a heartbeat! 🫶

Overall, the place has a cozy, warm feeling with different options of beer. This is the first time I've been here with my friend, had no idea what's for the order and the bartender helped us out, which was so nice of him. Definitely one of my favourite places here in Soton to hang out!

It's a nice pub in Southampton, just a few minutes away from city centre. They got selection of nice craft beer which at least one of them would suit you. It's nearby the cruise terminal so there may be occasional 🐦 visitings which kind of cute (for me at least). As it's a nice place with good beers, you can easily spend a long time in there trying out some beers.

Housed in an historic building on the edge of the city walls, this microbrewery has a wide range of beers, ales and ciders on tap and a small but delicious menu. Lush decor and good vibes a plenty - a great place to hang out near the quayside.

An historic building that's been very tastefully repurposed. A really lovely place for a drink. Lots of wood. I can recommend the "Jack 'O' Diamonds" red ale. Very drinkable! Super to see the mash tuns beside the bar in full use.

What a great restaurant! A really warm and authentic feeling atmosphere from the moment you walk in, clearly a family run business. The staff are excellent, very attentive and keen to provide an outstanding service. The menu has a great selection, with plenty of choice and several specials on offer depending on what is available fresh that day. The prices are exceptionally reasonable, and the food is of very good quality. The portions are generous, and there is very little to fault. On the Sunday we visited, the restaurant was unusually quiet, but I imagine even on a busier night you're likely to get a space as there are many tables arranged over two floors. They seem happy to accommodate larger groups also.

The profiteroles are the best I've ever had, highly recommend! Incredible menu and worth a visit if you're feeling something Italian. I went here for a friend's birthday and the service was brilliant. Considering how many people we had (15 or so) all our food was hot and came out in very good time. Hands down, the best Italian restaurant in Southampton! We tried the fettuccine salmon and the calzone for mains, followed by tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everything was a 10/10. The flavours and freshness made it feel like having a meal in Italy itself. Even though the restaurant was busy during dinner, the service was excellent, and our food arrived sooner than expected.

Went there for the 2nd time with my boyfriend and it was still amazing. This staff is very friendly, time serving is reasonable, and you get high quality food in good serving. Love it.

I was there on 25/01/2024 around 19:00 and found the restaurant with enough free seats and I liked that a lot because the chef had time to make me food quietly without the pressure of orders. The girl who served me was very kind and extremely attentive to customers. The food was super basic, nothing extraordinary, but for the asking price you shouldn't have high expectations.

A lovely Italian with a great specials board. Mussels, beef tagliatelle, lasagne or pizza are all above expectations. Chatting with the staff, the owners are worthy of 5 stars and a pleasant value and portion sizes

Very disappointed. I went to the restaurant a few times and everything went well. However, on my day off, I chose this restaurant to bring my girlfriend for lunch. We ordered a main course paella and brought a croquettethe summary of the nightmare, after hours of waiting, the croquette that would be only an entrance did not come, He only arrived in Paella. he came wrong and cold. the super rude waiter, horrible service. They made the refund, we left hungry and overstressed. total disappointment! Zero

We came to La Baronia in the afternoon and it was completely empty other than staff. We got seated and had good service as the employees happily answered any questions we had. The menu had some great vegetarian options for each type of food they served. The decorations are also very cool! The food didn’t take too short or long of a time to come to our table and once we got the food, it tasted fresh and very good. It may not be authentic but it was nice and we were satisfied. The only things that could’ve made the experience better would be having more places for parking, making sure the steak is cooked the way it was asked for and adding more variety to the menu. Also, lowering the prices or offering some complimentary tortilla chips would be a nice change as although the food was nice, most of the food was definitely not worth the price.

Another place ticked off our list of places to try! I like the theme of the decor, makes you feel like you're away. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Reasonable choice of food on the menu and the portions were a good size, very filling. The flavours of the food were excellent, we all really enjoyed our meals. I would also recommend the classic margaritas, very flavourful! I can't comment on the other flavours, but there were about 5 to choose from. Best Mexican I've had, would recommend visiting if you fancy one 🙂

This is a diamond hiding in plain sight! A perfect cozy and comfortable restaurant. Food is just right with lots of flavour and variety. Staff are welcoming and friendly with right right amount of interaction and interest. I've eaten here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Outdoor, covered eating space or roomy warm interior. Many drink options to choose from ales, cocktails, spirits and wine. For a privately owned and run local restaurant this is somewhere I would always recommend and when possible (as not local) eat at.

Lovely staff and cool place! Some good deals on the cocktails which were a highlight. The food itself was amazing, we shared a few dishes between us and got a dessert as well! Everything was so tasty and well priced for the portion sizes. Would recommend a visit!

Dined in on a quiet Thursday evening, our booking was originally for Tuesday but we wanted to move it and it was super easy to do so online. The male waiter that served us was super friendly and helpful. The place was nicely decorated and had Latin music playing the whole time. I tried their own pilsner called “Lalo Mejor” it was really nice. For food we shared the Spiced ribs that came with thick cut chips and a side of rice, the ribs were super tasty and had a generous amount of meat on them, the chips were perfectly cooked and fluffy and went so well with this tangy ketchup sauce on the side, the rice was nice and light and complimented the meal perfectly. Will come here again sometime in the future for sure.

Brilliant!! Perfectly cooked meat and the presentation was spectacular. The dressing on the Greek salad is simply gorgeous. The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly - a must try! We went for a Greek sangria carafe for 16£ loved it! I wish it had more mint in it, sweeter than I expected.

We had a wonderful dinner. Our waiter Kasia was so nice and polite. That was the best food I’ve had in a very long time. I’m from Bulgaria and I was missing the fresh food. We had the chicken skewers and prawns - I can tell the chicken was made on a BBQ - a taste of home - I loved it, definitely coming back 🤍💚❤️

I'm giving 2 stars for the food instead of 1 star as the food was pretty good in taste but I had a pork belly souvlaki and the portion of meat was laughable!! (Actually couldn't taste the meat as there was so little). See pic below. That was all the meat on it! £11 ... very overpriced and wine at a pretty basic restaurant at over £10 for a large glass of rose wine is also overpriced. Atmosphere and service is decent. However, many other places to eat where you won't be ripped off. I agree.... portions are very small. We won't be back.

Me and my girlfriend have been eating here for a few years now and I can honestly say they have been excellent everytime! The one time they made a slight mistake, we were offered a major discount and the staff were so lovely about it. Food and service has always been phenomenal, lovely place and atmosphere!

Absolutely love this restaurant whenever I’m missing Greek food. The service there is incredible a real deal what a service should be like. We visited this resturant after a family member said they had been and loved it, we were not disappointed. We managed to reserve online and when we arrived the place was full. There are only around 30ish covers. It’s such a lovely resturant the service is second to none. We felt so welcome. We had starters and a main each, we will likely do main and dessert next time as some of them looked lovely but we didn’t have any room left! Nicole and Carmo are wonderful. They are attentive but not too much, happy to explain and talk to you without feeling rushed and it was just such a pleasant experience. This is not a chain restaurant and wow do you feel the difference. The food is made in what feels like the teeniest kitchen but what comes out of there is fresh, tasty and great portion sizes. We will be back! The front is small, unsuspecting but inside if you step in, you will be transported to a world you wouldn’t have thought possible. Highly recommended.

Went here for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful experience. We arrived a few minutes early, but the staff kindly had us wait while our table was prepared, giving us time to browse the menu. The restaurant itself is small, but it has such a warm, cozy, and homely feel that immediately makes you comfortable. Service was excellent staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure our water glasses were always topped up. They kept the table tidy throughout the meal, which really added to the experience. For starters, we shared the mussels in a white wine sauce absolutely delicious. The sauce was creamy, rich, and decadent, while the mussels were cooked perfectly. We also had the burrata, which came with pesto, Parma ham, rocket, and cherry tomatoes. Everything was fresh and the burrata was wonderfully creamy. For mains, we both went for seafood pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, packed with plenty of seafood, and served with fantastic sauces. For the quality and portion size, the price is more than worth it. To finish, we tried two desserts the panna cotta and crème brûlée. Both were made to perfection: smooth, dreamy, and indulgent. Overall, it was a lovely evening and a memorable meal. We’ll definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

Cozy little restaurant with delicious Italian food! Ordered a Pollo Piccolo Mondo which was a chicken breast with mushrooms and a delicious tomato cream and pesto sauce. The sauce was exquisite and paired nicely with the tender chicken, and the side of fries was crisp! Had a nice latte to go with the food, really enjoyed my meal here! Paid £24.50 total for the meal

Honestly couldnt write a bad thing about this place. Dined here 3 times, always an amazing experience. Small but mighty, this restaurant is intimate, with some of the best food in the city. My personal favourite is the matriciana, and the garlic bread is immaculate. Portion sizes are more than generous, and the wait staff are lovely. Will be here many more times and I always recommend it to my friends.

Very nice place with amazing customer service what was the highlight of the visit. We were sitting outside on a very hot day. The waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was ok. Before our mains arrived we were given bread with some dips and olives. I had vegetarian moussaka and my partner had a steak. He asked for medium well done but it came well done so it was bit dry. He ordered another one which was just perfect as he wanted. The place was a bit pricey in my opinion. My virgin strawberry Mohito was good and refreshing.

Authentic fresh and great tasting Med food. Great service. Large servings with all of the extras included. Manager, Mo is friendly, helpful and knows what real service is all about. Consider it a vegan paradise if you don't want any meat or seafood. A must in Historical Southampton.

One of the very few Turkish restaurants in the UK that truly made me feel like I was back in Turkey. The interior design and the open grill setup are exactly what you’d expect from a classic Turkish restaurant. We stopped by by chance early in the morning for a Turkish coffee and künefe and ended up coming back again for lunch because it was that good. Everything was absolutely spot on. Highly recommended!

Didn’t expect this Turkish restaurant is Southampton, UK. Can highly recommend - even the Turkish wines were a pleasant surprise. The photos show the beef sausage, the Calamari (very good), the Eggplant (great), kofta (Pretty authentic and good - needs a little sauce). We also tried the flat bread. Would go again with no hesitation!

We went to celebrate a friend's big birthday. The young lady that served us was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Amira was confident to offer her recommendations, which worked very well. Food was plentiful and of great quality.

The reception and ambiance of the restaurant was great. The lighting and decor definitely elevated the experience as well as the view from the restaurant. The cocktails we had were perfect as I didn't want something too sweet and the waitress recommended the perfect cocktail to me. Their signatures were unique and I would want to go back for them alone! The food was but no means bad, I'd only give it 4 stars though as it was not mind-blowing with amazing flavours. But I will say that it is Asian fusion really well done. My highlights were the duck pancakes, chicken and egg-fried rice. Tried a little of the Hazelnut dessert and wish I ordered myself one! Definitely one to go back to.

We visited Blue Jasmine around 5 PM as a group of 10, hoping to enjoy what we expected to be a premium dining experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a polite and welcoming staff member who assured us she would arrange a table shortly. At this time, the restaurant was clearly empty — as shown in the attached photos. While we waited, another staff member approached us and, without the slightest courtesy, abruptly informed us that unless we had a reservation and had paid a deposit, we would not be served. His tone was rude, dismissive, and frankly obnoxious. The contrast between his attitude and the initial warm welcome was stark and completely unprofessional. It's deeply disappointing to be treated with such disregard, especially in a hospitality setting that claims to offer an upscale experience. Based on this encounter, I have no interest in ever returning, and I would strongly advise others to reconsider if they value being treated with basic respect. Hospitality is more than just food — it starts with how you welcome your guests. Blue Jasmine failed miserably on that front.

Great food but just a shame about the service as we waited an hour and 10 mins for some food. The young waitress was clearly rushed off her feet and forgot the glasses to our water and explained that there had been a delay with our food. When the food finally arrived it was delicious and well priced. I would recommend coming early rather than later as it can get very busy and it seems they prioritise bigger groups.

Everything was incredibly tasty, and had little unexpected touches that far elevated the food above similar places I'd been before. My partner and I visited Blue Jasmine this evening and had a truly fantastic experience. The Peking duck was absolutely incredible — highly recommended for anyone dining here. Connor was extremely wonderful and courteous, making us feel so welcome throughout the evening. Our waiter, Hatim, also did a fantastic job with attentive and friendly service. With such amazing food and such a warm, professional team, we’ll definitely be coming back again.

As parents of young children, we don’t get a chance to go out much, so we are careful where we go on the rare occasion. This restaurant did not disappoint. The ambience was calm, romantic and visually beautiful. We interacted with a number of staff and everyone was polite, had a wonderful smile and made us feel valued. Food was exquisite and Cooked to perfection. The Beef Wellington was a surprisingly large portion for 2 and the Malbec complimented it perfectly. Not one negative thing to say about this establishment and I can’t wait to return again.

Excellent meal. Had the one of the best ribeye steaks I've ever had here! For some reason it was better than the t-bone, filet and even the Wagyu steaks that my friends had. Highly recommend the chorizo rigatoni as well. Generally, I would say the wagyu wasn't quite worth the price but delicious nonetheless.

Atmosphere and food were lovely. The staff when we arrived were very informative and showed us all the different ranges of meat & fish that had been caught around the world. The food & presentation was spot on. It got a bit busy towards the end of the meal and perhaps not enough staff to accommodate all the customers, we ended up skipping dessert as it took so long. Either way quality was good and we'll be back.

What a great place to eat. Incredible selection of steaks and fish. All very high quality and cooked to perfection. Staff all very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable on the cuts. Just can't fault it. After going all out on steak I'd be interested to try some of the more 'normal' items on the menu such as the burgers to see how they compare to other restaurants in Southampton. If the quality is anything like the steak platter I had then I'll be in for a treat. Best steak in Southampton? Easily.

Ocean grill has some of the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. I ordered the surf and turf for myself, and the steak was done near perfectly; a lot of places I've been to don't understand how to sear a steak properly, and I can happily say this is an exception. The lobster was also excellent (I've never had lobster before, but I can certainly say this was a great first experience). My friend also had the linguine with lobster bisque, which he said was also excellent, though he finished it too quickly and was forced to sit and watch us devour lobster for an hour. The starters were also outstanding. I will add that the food is rather pricy, but your paying an acceptable amount considering how good it is. The staff who served us were polite and helpful, and we did have some good banter with them, and they very kindly made me a happy birthday plater. P.S. One very minor thing, if you ask a table if they want water, it'd be appreciated if you specify tap water or bottled because we just wanted tap water.

All staff were friendly welcoming and made an effort when they found out it was my partner's birthday. All the food was cooked extremely well, probably the best steak we have had in UK.

Went to Miss Pita to celebrate the wedding anniversary with my wife. The waiter was very friendly, there were plenty of tables, the interior was tastefully furnished. Wide selection of food and desserts to choose from. The lamb chops were a piece of heaven. We'll be back.

The mixed grill was phenomenal—generous portions, perfectly seasoned meats, and a beautiful balance of flavours that made every bite memorable. You could taste the care in the cooking, and the presentation was spot on. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Whether you’re after a casual bite or something a bit special, Miss Pita delivers. Highly recommend the mixed grill—it’s a must-try!

Delicious. Popped in today for some dinner and was served a beautiful pork souvlaki pita, fillings were generous, well presented and the pork was cooked to perfection. Inside the restaurant feels clean and unpretentious with appropriate music to really set an ambience. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would 100% recommend going here and I will be returning to explore more of their menu.

Delicious food and lovely staff and very nice atmosphere. We had one of the feta pies for a starter which was really tasty, and I had a veg pitta wrap which was really good.

This place is absolutely breathtaking! As soon as our party of five stepped inside, we were welcomed with warm, friendly smiles that set the tone for an unforgettable meal. The garlic bread was a revelation—perfectly brushed with garlic and an indulgent amount of butter—it was simple yet utterly divine! Then came the cauliflower appetizer, which blew us away with its vibrant medley of flavors, thanks to the tangy pickled red onions and rich tahini sauce. We simply couldn’t get enough of it! The pastas and burgers were just as mouth-watering. But the real star of the show was the special fish of the day, which whisked me away to the sun-soaked Mediterranean coast! This exquisite white fish was delicately seasoned with fragrant olive oil, zesty capers, and a splash of lemon—a true culinary masterpiece. To cap off our feast, I indulged in the pistachio tiramisu—creamy with hints of cocoa and rich espresso-soaked ladyfingers, all topped with a heavenly dusting of pistachios. The Olive Tree is an absolute gem in Southampton, and I can’t wait to return!

Hands down the best seafood pasta I’ve ever had. The pasta was spot on, the prawns and mussels were super fresh, and the sauce was full of flavour without overpowering the seafood. You could tell the chef really knows their stuff everything was cooked with real care. Absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef!

They got game boards there lot of variety of beers and ales and IPA stouts. All crafted there gins so on The garden lovely and got little beach huts seat at 4 people in them great long benches for big group. Very spacious and the food was really good. Great master brewing experience with Kieran the master brewer great family and friend day out learnt lots from Kieran. Nice food great value came home with a keg of our favorite beer sampled 6 beers and ate lunch breakfast and coffee excellent value for only £95 well recommended

Had an amazing day learning the intricacies of brewing as part of celebrations within the family. Met Kiran, the most amazing head brewer at BK Highfield, with an even more amazing journey. The science behind this is mind blowing and Kiran made this such a fun experience. Such an attentive and welcoming team, amazing food throughout the day and such a fabulous experience and tasting day. Who knew Kiran, your tropical IPA made such an amazing sourdough. Definitely coming again soon. Well worth the £95, with all the extras and tastings you get.

Fantastic gem of place! Had the sampler beer board and Burger meal experience, The cheeseburger was amazing and the hot sauce was equally impressive with the right amount of kick to it. IPa's on the sampler board with a pretty good range of drinks. Definitely will be back for another visit!

Had my birthday dinner at HarBAR on 6th and honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot! The marina views are amazing, the place has such a chilled but classy vibe, and the cocktails are spot on. Tried the Cherry Poppins with Mermaid Pink Gin and it was delicious. The tuna steak was cooked perfectly too. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and live music made the night even better. Definitely one of my favourite spots in Southampton!

Nice place to visit and take in the views of the harbour. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. The food selection is minimal, but I think that's a really positive thing. I enjoyed Fish n chips here and also tried their Tenderstem brocoli and the cheeseburger (over several nights and not in one seating!). The service was okay. Staff members are really helpful. However, I felt they were a bit overstretched at most times. In all, it is a very pleasant place to visit if you're local, but maybe spend a night or two at the Harbour hotel, and enjoy HarBAR on 6th over several nights.

They sell fine dining at a party club... Do not come here on a weekend if you are neurodivergent!! Food, view, mood lights, service very good. The noise from some other guests who were acting like they were in a basic pub was irritating and it's a shame the staff didn't ask them to behave in accordance with the price of the place. On top of this noise, there was loud house music coming from the back end of the space. The ambience of this restaurant would suggest soft jazz to eat and converse in peace not irritating house music that you can barely talk a word to your dinner partner or to the people serving the table. Half of it was classy, and the other half of it felt like being at a trashy sticky floor club or something. We left irritated and overstimulated and skipped dessert. Such a shame.

This was an interesting place. Food was ok. Some good some bland. We went on a live music night with a DJ. The music was inside (not outside) and was so loud couldn't talk to each other. Also, seemed very busy and servers were stretched too thin. I would not recommend this place as the view is all it has going for it. Try another place in Southampton.

We had a lovely time at Harbour on the 6th! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the service made it even better. Our server, Rithik, was absolutely brilliant — super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Thanks for making our visit such a great experience!

Had late lunch here today. The food and service was great. Very plentiful and worth the money. Super yummy. Chicken burger for the children was a bit spicy so she didnt eat it all :( Food greasy but have a roll of kitchen roll on the table to use. Service quick, food hot.

Trendy artisan burger place. Obviously popular with students and younger adults into fast food. They work hard on trying to find new adjectives to describe their menu making it difficult to work out what they are talking about. The crew were friendly and efficient and the service prompt. The decor is dull grey industrial so it’s more about the food than the ambiance! The food itself is good quality but to my taste overpowering flavours of sauces and dressings. The dreadlock Rasta is incredibly salty so you will need plenty to drink with this choice. Overall reasonable value for money

If you’re after a place that takes comfort food to the next level, 7Bone Burger in Southampton absolutely delivers. I recently stopped by and ordered the Shuffle Oklahoma Burger, and honestly, it was one of the juiciest, most flavour-packed burgers I’ve ever had. Crammed with succulent tipple smash patties, molten cheese, and perfectly crispy bacon, every bite was a glorious mess of savoury, smoky goodness. The sides took things even further. The truffle bacon mac & cheese was pure indulgence – creamy, rich, and laced with just the right hit of truffle. The crispy tater tots were golden and addictive, and the fried chicken tacos were a brilliant surprise: crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavour. The Kim Jong Wan wings brought a spicy, tangy kick that perfectly balanced out the richness of the meal. To top it all off, I washed everything down with a thick chocolate fudge brownie milkshake — decadent, sweet, and the perfect ending to a feast that hit every craving

About a 15 minute walk from West Quay but it’s worth it to avoid the crowds and for some banging food. We ordered 2 burgers, fries and some sides. Ordered from the QR code but the staff were still very attentive throughout. Food quality was great but you need it fresh to make the most it. If you order for home delivery, you’ll probably lose the crunch. I think 7 bone kicks the ass out of 5 guys in every way.

The burgers here are very tasty and I really like them, but the prices are a bit high. I did not enjoy the Rasta wings though, they were not my favorite. Overall a good place for burgers.

The beggars here are my favourite, especially the smash burgers. I always get Prince Charles is overrated with two smash patties. Fries are not included, but one should be enough to share between two. My girlfriend always gets the vegetarian option of Prince Charles is overrated and she is loving it.

We have ordered from 7bone plenty of times previously whether that be eating in or takeaway and each time it has been amazing but last night we felt was way below par for them. We felt the burgers have gotten smaller (they may not have done but we all felt the size had decreased), we all had the prince Charles burger. The chips this time around we felt were chewy and not at their usual standard. Dirty fries and chilli fries were ordered, both portions were a bit chewy. We understand places can have an "off" moment and that is fine but when you are paying nearly £20 each for burger and chips you expect it to be at minimum 90% the standard it should be. Was it the fact it was delivered and was sat in the box? Was it an off night? Who knows, but it makes you reluctant to order again. As i say previous times we have ordered it has been fantastic but we are adamant portion sizes are decreasing and the quality last night was below par for them. From previous visits they deserved a five star rating but after last night unfortunately we have decided three stars was fair.

Ennios offers next to food also 5 Boutique rooms. We have had both. We choose it as our Pre-cruise hotel. We were welcomed very friendly in the morning. We were far before check-in time but we were welcomed very friendly and could leave our suitcases at the reception (which is at the restaurant enterence) and wonder off in town. Room was ready well before check-in time. Comfortabele room, nice airco so room at good temp. Beds are comfortable. And a mini-bar well stocked (hate it to come into a hotel room and open a minibar which is completly empty). As there is now elevator we could leave suitcases we didnot need at reception which saved us from dragging them upstairs for no reason. We had dinner with them as well. Good tatsefull meals. And very friendly service. The prices i must say were a bit at the high end. I would recommend this place to anybody and probably we would book again here if we would be around.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, a well-equipped bathroom, and plenty of natural light. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good start to the day. However, the price felt a bit high considering the overall experience. The lack of noise insulation was a major drawback—the traffic noise from the main road was quite intrusive, and the thin walls made it easy to hear conversations from neighboring rooms late at night. While the room itself was pleasant, the noise significantly impacted the stay.

Went for dinner after the boat show. Our first choices were all fully booked with people who had thought further ahead than us, so we went here. The food was great, reasonably priced, perfect atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff, suffice to say we were glad we missed our first choices. Never had tapas before, so I've no frame of reference, but I really enjoyed it and will definitely do it again, particularly if I'm back in Southampton.

In my personal opinion, the restaurant is overevaluated - from Italian cousin there is only a name. Their food definitely doesn’t cost that money they ask, and the whole thing about the restaurant is more pathos. However, I need to acknowledge their effort in serving - they tried to keep it on a proper level!

It's always a delight to eat in Ennio's restaurant – the cuisine is consistently excellent as is the wine, and the staff are friendly, charming, and attentive. We loved the music too!It's worth the trip from Chichester, and conveys a true Italian relaxed sense ofpleasure.

What a fantastic place with a fabulous restaurant and staff that are the friendliest, welcoming people we've ever met in a hotel. The food is some of the best food we've eaten albeit quite expensive compared to other restaurants but absolutely worth every penny however the only slight criticism is the drinks are very expensive, ie £6.50 for a bottle of water and I think it worked out at £13.75 for a double barcardi and a bottle of diet coke as there was no draft coke. We live in a main city so are used to paying inflated prices but the drinks are more expensive than Manchester city prices, but we'd definitely stay here again because everything else was perfect, and it's literally across the road from where we pick the cruise up from.

Ennio’s is our go to restaurant when in Southampton. Always a warm welcome and wonderful service. The food and wine last night were superb. Wonderful place.

This is by far the best Restaurant we have been to for a very long time the host Max was fantastic his hospitality was 2nd to none his partner Karen was absolutely brilliant the food was also fantastic. The whe evening spent with friends was amazing.

Very sad this place was so empty after theatre trade. Max was extremely helpful in organising my group booking and added humour to the serving. Authentic Italian food and you have to try the balsamic vodka or gin....can't want for the balsamic prosecco later this year too!

Took Mum to Max's for her 76 birthday, along with my two sisters. The food and service were exceptional. It's a great authentic Italian restaurant with a great menu which is clearly labelled for vegetarians. We didn't get to try the wines, but there was a great selection. Nevis who served us was absolutely lovely, had a great sense of humour and really made our evening. Would thoroughly recommend.

Loved it very accomadating as hadnt booked but chanced going for dinner preshow @ Mayflower. Had vegetarian rissotto ( mushroom & asparagus) which made dairy free for me ! Didnt have wone or cocktails but seemed good selection & attentive service from staff. Got very busy laterly so booking advisable if going later ( we were there @ 5pm ) .

Absolutely beautiful meal this evening. Max couldn’t do enough for us. Food was absolutely stunning. One of my children didn’t want ice cream for desert only melted chocolate and strawberries and that’s what he done for us. And my daughter wanted the brownie but there was none left. So he recommended the soufflé instead and she said it tasted even better than a brownie. Thank you max. Would definitely book next time we are in Southampton.

Nice place to enjoy a dinner. Menu is not Italian , an fettuccine was broken .. they served with spoon . This is not Italian style . Anyway atmosphere was nice , service excellent. Best Sunday roast for some time. Staff were friendly and accommodating, offering off menu items for kids. Food was excellent, big portions and well worth the price. Tasty hearty food in a clean well run establishment.

We were able to get a table for two on a Friday night without a reservation, but I would recommend getting a reservation as the place was quite full. Food was good, but the portions were a bit meager while the prices were not. I particularly enjoyed the Beet Salad with Goat Cheese. Wait staff was friendly, particularly our Polish waiter.

9 of us celebrated a 25th birthday. Front start to finish everything was just right. Greeted by our host Tilly, seated and given time for the whole group to join. Tilly have the perfect amount of attention, was great at explaining the menu and asking questions. The food was fantastic and served in a timely professional manner. Manners of all team members were spot on. Polite when bringing more dishes and apologies for interrupting. I believe the service and food was the best I have had in a long time. This was our visit, it won't be my last.

Bacaro is hands down one of the best spots in Southampton. The vibe is relaxed but stylish, perfect for anything from date night to catching up with friends. The food is amazing – I love the small-plates style because you get to try a bit of everything. The seafood is always super fresh, the pasta tastes like it’s straight out of Italy, and every dish feels full of flavor and care. The staff are brilliant too – friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They know the menu and wine list inside out and always make great recommendations (special mention to Greg & Tia!) Every time I go, the experience is spot on. Delicious food, the restaurant looks unassuming from the roadside but is so cute inside! The arancini were particularly delicious as well as the gnocchi and ravioli. Nice place to visit for a special occasion!

Bacaro was on my list for a long time! In the middle of August we managed to go for a Sunday lunch ant it was really enjoyable! We had the beef, the lamb and the fish, everything was cooked very nicely. Very good service. We’ll be back 😃

I have had a couple of average-bad experiences here, however on my trip on 16th March 2025, myself and my girlfriend had a wonderful experience. We had wine and some cocktails, as well as some tapas food and it was all delightful. The server, Daniel was so lovely and friendly, and made us feel so comfortable. This might have been my last time coming here, but Daniel has redeemed All Bar One for me. Up the Orient!

I went in recently and was served by Aaron, and I have to say, he was great. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed. He suggested a drink that turned out to be perfect for me, and you could tell he really knew his stuff. The vibe he created at the bar was relaxed and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely look forward to being served by him again. I hope he’s single too…

Decent crowd but the drinks were always topped up and the food was pretty decent. I actually don't get why Instagram dunks on All Bar One all the time, this might be the most well tended-to we've been on a bottomless brunch. Adam was a great host and we firmly believe he deserves a raise. Shout out to the chicken Milanese for having a world-class level of crunch.

7 of enjoyed a Cocktail Masterclass as part of a day of special birthday celebrations. Our host Ellie was really great and looked after us well. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys cocktails. We stayed in All Bar One for another couple of hours after our event - we were so “at home”!!!!

Went yesterday. Asked if they had table for 2. Was told by a happy waitress yes there were two. She pointed to one nearby and said other was round other side in corner. Did not take us to table. We sat at our table for 20mins. No one came for drinks order or food order. We noticed a few meals being returned for being cold or not right. We left!!

Rated in the top 10 in Southampton. Really? The first thing you will be met with is a notice that it is a cash or money transfer only restraunt. No credit cards wanted. The food was mediocre. Tasty but I was expecting more. No rice or Greek potatoes offered. No pita bread and dips with the meal. Portions were adequate . Be careful if you use the toilets.They are on the second floor and the stairs are steep.

Our first visit on Saturday (21st June) and I'm surprised it wasn't busier; we were welcomed warmly, the food was delicious, the portions generous & the prices reasonable. I enjoyed the authentic music choices too (loud enough to hear but quiet enough to chat). Highly recommended 👌

It was fine but for the price I would have liked better. I had the moussaka which was incredible and my partner had the souvlaki which was nice but fairly small. There was no bread with the meal or dips which I would have expected for this price, the chips could easier have been removed and replaced with bread. I understand that chips are a go to filler but they were mediocre and uneaten in my case. The baklava was not the best, not very flaky but it was tasty. I just left feeling a little disspaoninted. That being said the service was great and the staff were friendly. It was a bit of a mixed bag overall.

Blue Island is my favourite restaurant in Southampton (and probably the whole of the UK!). Whenever I'm in the city, I make sure I have time to visit. The food is delicious with an authentic home-cooked feel, the owners are incredibly generous, and the place always has a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. See you next time, Blue Island 💙

We ate dinner here before going to a gig nearby. The food was absolutely delicious, and genuinely reminded us of when we went island hopping. I would recommend Blue Island to anybody who enjoys Greek cuisine.

I’ve read a few other reviews and looks like I’m not alone in my experience. It does look like Cosmo reply’s to all negative reviews the same and doesn’t act on them. I hope my review gives an honest reflection of what to expect coming to this restaurant. I went with two friends and we were made to pay first (I thought maybe everyone did. NOPE just us ) I can’t help but think this was because we were three young friends. The lady at the till has awful customer skills ! We felt rushed and pressured to pay FOR A MEAL WE HADNT EVEN EATEN YET. We didn’t realise that there was a service added. I’m not sure what service I was paying for as 1) I hadn’t even sat down yet and 2) it’s a self service buffet ? Had it had been pointed out or I wasn’t being rushed into paying I would have removed the service. This isn’t ok and as we were leaving another table also mentioned the same thing. Not cool. Because of being rushed and also paying before we were even seated and eaten we didn’t get drinks. Had we been sat first we would have got a Bottle of wine or 2 but we went with water because there was pressure and no time to look. I asked about allergies and the guy said they were all listed. The top 14 are but nothing else but everything is cross contaminated so if you have anaphylaxis or severe allergies I wouldn’t risk it. It’s not something they take too seriously. Nothing was labeled if it was vegetarian/vegan and had to ask for most dishes. I do think your staff need to be trained on allergies and dietary requirements as this isn’t something to take lightly and your standards aren’t up to par. I went to the hot plate to get some squid (I’m pesciterian but it’s easier to explain as vegetarian ) the guy didn’t understand what I was saying as he started cooking the squid and offered me steak. I told him I don’t eat meat. Another guy ordered the steak … as he’s cooking my squid he uses the same spatulas without cleaning them. I’ll give the staff credit for their quick clearing of plates but I’m still not sure what I paid service for as I don’t think we spoke to any staff. The dessert was the only good part of the experience. There was a lot of choice and it was pretty clean. I do think you get what you pay for it was mid at best but please sort out your allergy and dietary training for staff ! Also please tell the lady at the desk to let people know about service. Unless these things changed I wouldn’t return but I’m sure it’s great for children and birthdays.

Gets a little loud with the amount of people and a lot of people shoving in the que but dont let that put you off. The place is always so clean and tidy. Staff have always been polite and helpful. Food selection is incredible and always so fresh and tasteful. Every item has its own tongs/spoons so no cross contamination. Every item has its allergens right infront so you dont have to ask for them. Little more pricey than where we normaly go for date night BUT its worth it.

Satay chicken was pink and raw. luckily we caught it before eating any. service was rude and inattentive. bournemouth restaurant is 100% better. rest of the food was okay - definitely not worth the price in my opinion. atmosphere was okay - very loud for a Monday evening but mostly because we were seated next to a loud party table. kind of seemed like the staff wanted us gone asap. do not eat here!!!

The service was excellent friendly, attentive, and well coordinated even with our large group 14 of us . The food was piping hot, fresh, and consistently replenished, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I recently popped into Cosmo and had the best time! The buffet was fantastic, with loads of variety and everything was fresh and tasty. I really loved the Beef in Black Bean Sauce and the Prawn with Courgettes—so full of flavour and definitely worth the value. The whole place was spotless, and the vibe was just right. Service was top-notch too; can’t wait for my next visit!

As someone who live a mainly carnivore lifestyle for optimal health, I was very impressed that they were very accommodating to my request for no seed oils, no carbs. All fried in butter and removed the usual processed sauces from the steak tartare. Only a few shallots and gherkins that I could tolerate as a one off. Will definitely be back for more meat.

This was an amazing meal! We had the mixed grill platter to share! Amazing size! And the taste was simply incredible! Definetely recommend! This was a last meal out just the two of us! Next month will be 3 ♥️

Service was average, it was a quiet Saturday lunch so wasn't busy. Decor is old. Chateaubriand wasn't anything special. Also, never had steak served on slices of ciabatta. Probably won't go back.

Steak was nice. Cooked how I asked. Good service, nice and friendly and efficient staff. Portion was a bit small - not enough chips and very little else on the plate apart from the steak and a bit of mushroom. Charged me £7.50 for a large diet coke - outrageous!

Absolutely amazing - as always. We Love coming to carnicero it's our date night destination and it never disappoints. Steak/meat is always perfect, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and just all round delicious. Not a fault. Service is flawless and Christo makes us feel welcome even when rock paper scissors gets heated and wine knocked over - sorry and thank you.

Unfortunately i did not enjoy my experience here. I went with a big group to celebrate a birthday and there seemed to be some sort of mix up with the food? I dont think it was anything major as i know that the person who was talking to the servers about it was a bit rude, however it was still a bit dissapointing. I ordered the butternut squash and ricotta ravioli and it was disgusting. Im not sure if it was a one off thing and just bad luck as i was the only one who ordered this, but the pasta was hard (not completely undercooked but harder than it should be) and the inside was also hard. Not only that but the sauce it was put in was horrid and completely submerged the ravioli. It tasted sour like uncooked sauce or tomato paste, I could not eat it. This was a shame as I was looking forward to it aswell. Adding onto this, the calamari for startes was so hard to bite, i had to stretch it so far and i built up so much tension that all the batter came flying off. Even in my mouth i could not break it apart and i had to spit it out. Many others also complained about their food, claiming it was not worth the price and that the meat at times was impossible to cut, the vegetables were average, and the yorkshire pudding was tasteless. The ribs for starters were very nice though and very tender. The service was alright although after the mix up the servers seemed to avoid us and did not seem happy ( I cant blame them too much). The place is relatively small from what i could see and the tables felt quite cramped. Other tables also had problems which made the experience even worse. Maybe we were really unlucky, but i will not be coming back here again.

Supposedly the best steak in Southampton. Ordered medium rare , steak came well done meat was tough , im not sure how a ribeye gets tough but these guys succeeded.

The starter was served within 10 minutes but it took over 40 minutes for the main course, the Caesar salad and burger. This is even though there were only 3 tables in the place so it was never busy. It was shocking that it took 40 minutes plus to make the salad(£11.45) and the vegetables were terrible. The salad vegetables were just lettuce and a little spinach that was not fresh. I will never go back. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

We came in for bottomless brunch at 12 on a Wednesday. Our server was really nice and took his time with us. Service was really great a couple of times we had to wait a little.longer than we would have liked but our server was on hid own most of the time looking after the whole floor while someone else should have been helping but was on her phone every time we saw her. Food was ok, not amazing but it was worth the money considering the bill was £32 each Our server chilly really did do his best for us and tried to make us feel like time didn't matter but it was clear he was rushed off his feet. Tha ks for a great lunch

Has to be the worst place to go to for breakfast. Me and my partner went here for a breakfast and the service was awful. We ordered American pancakes and full English breakfast. It wasn’t busy and there were only 2 tables including us and the food still took 30+ mins to arrive and there wasn’t any assurance from the staff that the food’s coming! The one FOH and the guy from the bar was terrible!!!! When it arrived, the pancakes didn’t have maple syrup, the toast was burnt and the “fried eggs” wasn’t even cooked properly. How do you take ages to cook the food and still mess it up. Seriously disappointing.

Really poor customer service. Downloaded the (heavily advertised by slug and lettuce) MiXR App and there was a QR code for a free drink. The girl behind the bar scanned it… said it didn’t work and needs the manager. A rather stressed guy turned up (necklace with rings on) holding plates of food that needed to be served, and starts tapping away on the till. He then tells me “the trigger doesn’t work and I can’t override it” I was like ok… and he repeated it and asked if I understood. I said I did not understand (I do not know the ins and outs of the slug and lettuce POS system) and I don’t know what a trigger is. At this point my wife suggested he served the food he was holding and came back, as it was getting cold. He said no because he’s the only one that can sort it. At this point he repeated he can’t do anything about it and I said that I was a bit naughty to heavily advertised this service and then not honour it. Hilariously he then said that the Mixer app is a third party “ and you have to remember it’s nothing to do with slug and lettuce” this is when I took the photo of the Mixer app being advertised on the rear of the till as he was talking. By this time a queue was forming which was making us feel stressed , the girl behind the bar looked stressed also. He disappeared to serve the food and came back and said he would try one more time. It worked instantly, he didn’t acknowledge us, just told the girl “you must have done something wrong” and left - seemingly a bit embarrassed. The tone, actions and customer service was so poor from start to finish. It made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and like we were the problem. If you don’t want customers to use third party apps with promotions, don’t advertise them. And if you are using them, please train the staff how to process it on the till, or at the very least how to be apologetic and friendly.

Nice place to hangout and for family get together. Food was okay, the fried rice we ordered was only spicy with no other flavours which was a minus for us. love spiciness but need balanced flavours. Mango sticky rice was delicious 🤤 Location is spot on and the ambience is beautiful.

Very good authentic Thai food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had the Pad Thai with Chicken and the Street Noodles with BBQ Pork; both were great. Definitely will visit again.

Good taste!!!! Whenever I miss Thai food, I usually order pork with basil and tell the chef to put lots of chili in the dish. I also order Singha beer to drink with it. It makes me miss home so much.

Fantastic food and drink. Would definitely recommend the Thai teas. Either are delicious, but the Assam version is brilliant for a hot day. I had a beef chilli and Thai basil stir fry. Not too hot, but the combination of herbs and spices was divine!

The restaurant itself has such a vibrant and authentic atmosphere, making the whole dining experience even better. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which really added to the evening. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Thai meal.

A nice authentic feeling Thai restaurant with great decor and a sizeable menu full of all the classic dishes, plus some more unique options. Drinks took a little while to arrive but there’s plenty to admire in the decor while you wait and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The sharing pinto is a sizeable option to share between a number of people and is unique in presentation and tasty. It wasn’t the cheapest of options but if I was looking for a Thai meal again I’d certainly return.

A very dramatic restaurant which was spotless and showed no sign of wear. The service was equally on point and detailed. The food arrived promptly, was tasty and the portions were extremely generous. All in all a fantastic dining experience.

More on the higher end but definitely worth the price! We got the 1814 mixed platter which was so filling we couldn’t eat anymore! It was so yummy, we were gutted we couldn’t eat the mains! As it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a cake which was impeccable 😍 Amazing service & incredible food! Would definitely recommend!

Such a beautiful place to eat! The staff were friendly and welcoming and the inside was decorated beautifully. They have wide range of vegetarian dishes as well if thats something you are after. The drinks menu as well has lots of options although a little bit pricey. This is definitely a more fancy place to dine but I recommend splurging a little bit as the food is amazing.

I cannot say enough how delightful dinner here was. The cocktails were clearly made by an excellent mixologist— they were delicious, refreshing, and had complex flavours. The scallops we had for starters weren't just flavourful, I swear they felt restorative to eat, as though they were steamed in a savory health potion. Our entrées, Mongolian beef stir fry and sizzling duck with ginger and spring onion, were so delightful too. It's just a shame we were too full for dessert! The atmosphere was immaculate, the space was so clean and beautifully presented, and the staff were so nice and helpful. Our server Maddie was an absolute legend. If you go to no other restaurant in Southampton, you should go to Shanghai 1814!

The background music for a restaurant was a bit loud, the atmosphere was more like going into a bar. The lighting was too dark, we had to walk very carefully not to trip over. We had a large party so they have arranged a separate room, so that was good privacy. The food was okay, but for the price I was paying, I was expecting something better than that. However, the presentation was wonderful. I ordered a sweet & sour pork, the meat so really dry and tough. The braised beef dish was quite a disappointment, the meat was not tender like how it should and the turnip was obviously not fresh and old ( felt like it’s been stored in the bridge for a long time). The hot & sour soup only tasted vinegar, the chicken was off. The salt& pepper soft shell crab was fabulous. I was expecting more sophisticated service from this nice restaurant, however one of the waitresses really surprised me with her rushy attitude. The speed for our order was incredibly fast, we ordered quite a few dishes but did not expect them to be served all at the same time. Literally there was not space she could put the dishes on the table. So I had to hold the plates while she tried to jiggle around the ones already on the table. Then she hassled us to all take a piece of soft shell crab from the plate so she could clear that plate! The quality and service did not worth £250 last night.

Me and my partner came for our 6th anniversary, had a absolutely amazing time filled with good food great drinks and even better service. The staff are some of the best people persons I've come across made us feel so welcome and at home straight away and wishing us a happy anniversary with a table side song! It was ouer first time at this place and waitress nicely explained menu and how the all you can eat offer works hence we had an amazing bbq meats and tapas definitely We'll be go there again

The staff is very friendly, but unfortunately, the food doesn't meet expectations. The meat quality is subpar, and the BBQ lacks flavor. Overall, it's not worth the price, and I wouldn't consider coming back.

I have just ate at Casa Brasil for the first time since they moved to Ocean Village. They were amazing at Westquey but they are even better here. Paulo is a great guy and is always so friendly. The food is spot on as always and though I don't drink... The 2 for 1 cocktails are too good to miss.

Lovely management who made my birthday meal extra special. I know they usually sing and dance for you but he was very kind and polite. Paid a lot of attention to serving my family and ensuring everyone was well fed. Would definitely book again. Smaller and more cosy than some other casa brasils. But still very much worth it. Good value for money if you go during the week its a bit cheaper per person. You also dont have to pay on your birthday if you print your voucher in advance.

Me and my partner came here on a date but and I cannot tell you how incredible the service was. The man up front (I didn't catch his name) greeted us immediately and served us with such kindness and enthusiasm. He was so lovely and had great customer service. The food was great as always and the cocktails were even better! Will definitely be coming back here!

Good food and even better service, The staff were attentive and could advise you on the menu, you could see the kitchen from the restaurant which is a big plus for me. They have some good deals and the sharing platters I saw looked great and good value. The meal was about £42 per person for 2 courses and a large glass of wine.

Came across this Portuguese restaurant during our 1 night in Southampton pre-cruise. Having grown up in a Portuguese colony, I've always loved the food! It didn't disappoint! Staff were very friendly and attentive, the lady cashing us up at the end of the night even gave us some important info re a home football match the next day so we made sure to pre book a taxi! Which was very much appreciated! 5*

We came as a group of 4. The first waiter was impolite. Quickly cutting us off when speaking to add that all food should be ordered at once. Sensible advice but needs to work on the way he interjects. No soft speaking skills. He just wants to take your order and get out of there. The second waiter was nice and he continued to serve us through the meal. The food was splendid and thoroughly cooked. The sweet potato fries were amazing and melted in the mouth. The ribs were super tasty. They didn't have Tabasco sauce but had an alternative which was just as nice. It was sriracha I think but not sure. The Bolo do caco mocktail was horrible. At first I thought it was me but then my friend group had a sip as well and agreed it wasn't of good taste. The Sumol passion fruit which is a canned drink is so much better. I would advise not to try any custom drinks here. The desserts were fabulous. There was a display tray of all the desserts and when we asked for a menu of desserts, they just brought the tray over to us, talked us through the options and we picked three different ones. The Pastel de Nata tasted great with cinnamon. The other desserts were great as well. 9/10 will visit again if in town.

Couldn’t recommend enough. They were the best ribs we’ve had and the sweet potato fries were beautiful. We arrived early but a lovely polite gentleman named Rob made sure to do the best he could in escorting us to a table as soon as he could, making us feel welcome. Our server for the meal was Isabella and she was more than amazing, so quick and polite, also making us feel welcome for our entire visit, it’s almost like she knew exactly when to come over and what to ask. Overall the visit was an absolute delight, coming back soon!

The food is amazing we have been here a few times already. The only thing is that the place is hosting bday brunches or bday parties in general, or another occasion celebration and sometimes these can be really loud. He went there for a date and we could not hear each other as the party next to us was shouting and screaming from joy.

Went in for drinks as we love Loungers in general. Cocktails were fab and staff were very friendly but just not enough of them! On a Sunday evening, in a big venue you need more than three people. Come on Loungers, you’re not a small company and can afford to put a few more staff on. We got our first drinks and almost immediately ordered our second as we knew there would be a wait. (Not the staff’s fault, they did the best they could in the situation they were in!). Overall a lovely evening!

Really impressed with the quality of the food , great taste and excellent value for money. Service was friendly and quick. Would have loved to see a wider selection of craft beers, but that’s just personal preference. The setting decent in the sun, with great views over Ocean Village marina, a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

Visited Maritimo Lounge recently with a few friends. The location is lovely, right by the marina, and the atmosphere was relaxed with a nice buzz. Staff were generally friendly, but service was a bit hit and miss – we had to wait quite a while to place our order and even longer for drinks to arrive. Food-wise, it was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. A few of the dishes lacked seasoning and felt a bit underwhelming for the price. Portion sizes were decent though, and there are some good vegetarian and vegan options. All in all, it’s a decent enough spot for a casual but expensive bite or drink, especially if you’re after a waterfront view, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. Could be great with a few improvements.

Great place for brunch and friends meeting. Beautiful decorations with great views. They have good choices of food for breakfast and lunch. The only problem is whenever they change their chef the taste of food is different. One of my favourite dishes is Shakshuka. Staff are always friendly and polite.

What an amazing place! History, beers and food all in one place. I recommend the Liver and Bacon. You have got to have a drink here, you may even see the ghost of King Henry V.

Came to the UK a third time and am having a microwaved steak and ale pie in a chain restaurant. Reminded me of this terrible pie I had 2 years ago and had to post this review, despite the painstaking strolling I had to partake. Meat was tough and bland. Gravy was more of an inert brown liquid than a sauce meant to have flavour. And I thought to myself while I am eating a microwaved steak and ale pie, 2 years later, that, I would prefer having this than to stomach the one I had here again

We walked into what appeared to be a traditional drinking bar with lots of regulars, and were not sure we had picked the right place to eat. The pub has 3 sections and there is plenty of seating, and we were made welcome straight away. Helpful service, food not slow despite being busy and we had various Sunday roasts all of which were good meat, potato and veg and the Yorkshire pudding was brilliant. Would highly recommend as a really good family meal out and at a sensible price too.

One of the oldest pubs in Southampton, its like stepping back in time. The bartender Lisa was a hoot and we enjoyed a few pints and lively conversation with numerous locals.

Traditional bar in Tudor style with large oak tables, as if stepping into a museum or old ale house more than a modern bar! The ale was good, and the bartender was fast. Recommended!

Incredible Napoli style pizza with a chewy base and a selection of amazing sauces such as pesto, caccio e peppe, garlic and great Prosecco. Work highly recommend due to the lovely local atmosphere that feels like a homely evening. Very cosy restaurant and great service. Grazie Mille.

Amazing freshly made sourdough pizza. The is one of the best pizzas I have had, the toppings were high quality and tasted so fresh. Great little place inside, very well decorated and modern and very good price, £13.50 my pizza. Great service, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit. We were staying overnight before a cruise, if we do it again we would definitely go back here.

We usually visit Franco Manca chains across the UK and were hopeful to see one in Southampton. We arrived without a booking and were ignored for a few minutes by the staff. Once we had got their attention we were quickly shown to a table outside which was clean. It took us around 5 minutes to decide what we wanted to eat and the server approached us 15 minutes later. We had ordered a bottle of wine with the request of ice on the side. The server pointed out that the bottle was already cold and we did not need the ice. After asking again for the ice, he said he would check if they had ice, something which is a bit concerning coming from an establishment serving drinks and food. We ordered pizza no.2 and no.8 with the request of a spicy dip on the side. We were extremely happy with quality and speed of the food but our dip did not come with the food. We asked our server about 3 times where the dip was and he replied saying it was on the way. Unfortunately, we never received the dip which left us feeling annoyed that we were misled. The service on the 31st of May was one of chaos and disorganisation despite the restaurant not being entirely full of customers. The food was amazing but I would not return to this specific restaurant again as there was no effort to rectify the situation. Funnily enough the service charge was still on the bill which surprised us even more. Please do better!

Absolutely gorgeous pizza, one of the best I've had outside of Italy! Exactly how it should be, thin, soft base, fluffy & slightly burnt crust, with beautifully flavoursome tomato base. I had the scotch bonnet dip, which did not disappoint! If you like spicy, this is what you want with your pizza! Was working in the area, staying overnight & very glad I chose to come here! Despite not being 'a name', the cider was lovely & refreshing, too. The staff were very friendly, only reason it got marked down a star was thay I must have been sat for nearly 10 minutes waiting to pay, and it was pretty quiet. It was a pleasant evening, so I sat outside & it was very relaxing! Would definitely visit again & look for Franco Manca wherever I am looking to eat!

A fantastic branch of this chain, food was cooked fantastically and the staff where so friendly, if your new to the Franco world this is amazing Italian food and pizza so fresh with so many tasty ingredients that are so fresh at quite decent prices. Great to see them expand the menu into new options the bruschetta is lovely.

We had the smoked beef pizza and black truffle burrata pizza 🍕—both were insanely good. No regrets, just pure pizza happiness! And wow...one bite and you just get that real Neapolitan pizza vibe 🇮🇹. The truffle burrata pizza has a rich truffle aroma and a creamy, milky burrata flavor. The Italian smoked beef pizza has a generous amount of beef, delivering a rich, savory flavor, but the rocket leaves add a refreshing balance. The sourdough base is something else—chewy, crispy on the outside, soft inside. So different from regular pizza, and honestly? I’m obsessed. The homemade orange juice is refreshingly sweet and tangy. The restaurant has a great atmosphere—cozy and comforting, and the service is really nice too. Definitely coming back!

We had lunch here on a Sunday without a booking reservation. The place was not too busy, we were quickly seated, the staff was friendly and attentive, both the pizzas and the starter were great, and the tiramisu was absolutely delicious.

What an opening weekend! So glad Mango are back, the new changes are great and I love how it's running now. Much more of a cocktail bar than a restaurant now. The tapas is as good as I remember if not better. The drinks menu is extensive with something for everyone, the whisk(e)y flights are interesting too, I bought the 'Flight to Asia' which was a taste sensation. Our host (Jacob I think their name was) was very knowledgeable and helped tailor our experience and explained the drinks and processes, obviously they were very busy with it being reopening weekend but he still spent time with us and made it feel special! Highly recommend Mango for the vibe and location. 10/10

Food is fantastic. The decor is very authentic and looks stunning. Looking from the outside isnt much to be lured in by but you will be pleasantly surprised. Bar staff are very friendly and are always willing to help. Great selection of food and drink. Food is amazing, also great for just grabbing drinks. There is a basement area which has live music everyweek, with some of the best talent Southampton has to offer. There are also so cushioned seats downstairs which are very comfy accompanied by more stunning features and a second bar. Brilliant location, cross the road and your in ocean Village. Brilliant place to drink on the weekends, don't turn up too late as the bouncers are very strict on letting people in past a certain time.

I had a lovely date night here. Atmosphere is beautiful, with all the plants and water feature, and a very relaxed dining vibe. We had one of the Halloween special cocktails, which was delicious, and I am obsessed with the vegetable crackers!! The staff couldn't possibly have been more accommodating of my dietary needs (vegan and capsaicin allergy) and even made me something special off-menu! For me, the dimsum really stole the show, I can't stop thinking about when I'll go back for more 😅 My partner had the coconut chicken and a royal massaman he's still talking about the next day!! Although it's tapas style, the portions are generous so be prepared to take food home with you if you want to try a couple of dishes!

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food and drink were good but as there one only one barman, if you order cocktails it can be a bit slow. Ordered the cricket grub things (see picture) but they didn't taste of anything. All other food was really good though. Tapas places should adjust menus for the amount of people in the group though. 5 spring rolls for 4 people, or 3 of things is awkward. Nice place if you're not in a rush and just want to take your time over dinner (and try multiple things). We took our time and had a lovely evening. We'll be going back

You walk in and this place smells incredible! Thai food is a favourite of mine and this place is wonderful. They offer a great deal on very cool cocktails, not your average drink! As in the name, this is a tapas restaurant and with that you can expect prices to be higher than average for a smaller portion. This place is very popular with couples, friends and families out for a nice evening. Large variety of food and drinks on offer. Easy to walk past but definitely worth heading in!

I had never been to this branch of Mango before but my friend and I had a great evening. They were busy as expected after eight months of being closed, but we were well looked after. The tapas portions were great and the manager (Russian gent) was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the spirits on offer. There was not much distancing seen or precautions taken other than scanning the QR code at the door and staff in masks. As they have just reopened, this detail might have been overlooked? Either way, I'd still come back as Mango offered us a great experience.

A gem of a place. Visiting Southampton for a few days and this caught our eye. Amazing service and food. The staff so friendly brought us strawberries and champagne after finding out it was our anniversary.

One of the best vegan pies I have ever tried! I had the Ron Bourginon. The vegan gravy was also really good. I also tried the vegan porky pie which was delicious. A hidden gem in Winchester, well worth a visit.

I was drawn in by the name, but stayed for the yummy food! I appreciate the theme. The pie was perfectly flaky and tasty! The potatoes were also very yummy. My husband and I sat on the outside tables. We ordered at the till inside and they brought it out to us when it was ready. Staff were friendly. There were plenty of gluten free and vegan options.

Absolutely wonderful! We split a 'Piefull Tower', and neither of us could take another bite. Food was hot and tasty. Simon was the only front end worker and he was running his butt off. Nevertheless the service was friendly and fast. Will definitely go back when back in Southampton. Deb and Ron, the Canadians not off a cruise ship (Simon will understand).

My first time in Southampton, and decided to hit up Piecaramba before heading out in the morning. We were not disappointed! The Thunderbird and Piecaramba are both excellent. BBQ beans, mushy mint peas, mashed potatoes were tasty. We liked the onion gravy much more than the white gravy, which we thought lacked flavor.

This was an amazing dinner. The food was outstanding and more than we could have asked for. This was a highlight of our trip. Simon, Jade, and Katie were just as amazing as the food. Their service was top notch. If you are in Southampton this is a MUST VISIT!!

The food here is absolutely amazing, and the staff are always warm, welcoming, and lovely. Unfortunately, the owner’s behaviour has completely put me off coming back. During my last visit, my friends and I brought a drink and then moved a bench slightly to sit in the sun. I understand that wasn’t ideal, but we only shifted it a tiny bit and immediately apologised when asked to move it back. Instead of simply letting us know politely, the owner came out with a confrontational attitude, telling us “this is my property” in a dismissive tone, sighing, shaking his head, and making comments under his breath. It was such an unnecessarily rude and disrespectful interaction — especially toward customers who have visited many times before. I’ve always loved this place, and the rest of the staff are wonderful, but the owner’s attitude was so unpleasant and off-putting that it’s made me not want to return.

Absolutely excellent pizza! The crust is perfectly made—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and everything tastes fresh. The owner is super friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. On top of that, the prices are great. This place is a gem—highly recommend!

It's a pizza thing could quite be one of my best pizza related experiences to date and I'm half Italian so I know a winner when I taste one. Belinda and Andy are both lovely and full of banter that will put a smile on your face as well as the food they serve. 100% recommended 👌.

Great pizza van situated outside the pub front on most Wednesday Thursday and Friday evenings. Great selection of pizzas, all homemade in front of you in the wood fired oven and make sure you get the garlic drizzle on top. 😍 Each pizza is around &10, can't go wrong. They're so damn good and a lovely couple running the show. And even better you can eat them in the pub over a pint.

Ridiculously good! It's such a treat to have freshly made, highly quality, super tasty pizzas handed straight to you from the lovely folks who run the place. I had The Chorizo pizza and The Veggie pizza with jalapeños, both were equally amazing. The pizza itself has a very thin base and a nice, crispy crust. Just the way I like it! If you can live with the immense guilt of eating too many calories, the Garlic butter and Chilli Oil topping is 100% recommended. Both at once... if you dare... 😁 I'll be honest... Based on all the photos, I went to this place expecting an eat-in restaurant, but it's actually all made in a van! No worries though, since you can take the pizza in the Southwestern Arms pub and enjoy it with a drink, if you like. They actually have decent options for vegetarians and vegans which is awesome! They could probably benefit from adding more information on their website, but for now, I've attached an updated menu.

Very good pizzas. The pizza thin bases were delicious especially liked the cheesy. The calzone was also very good. This place is not in your normal type, don't judge a book by its location or drive to get to it. Would definitely go back again.

Loved the pizza van when it was by the South Western. This is even better! Great beer, great prices. If I had to complain at all, its simply that there aren't enough vegan options, but there's plenty of veggie and they do have vegan cheese!

Stopped here as looking for food as soon walked in staff really friendly and helpful and welcoming. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing.. Plenty of seating inside and seating outside in nicely done out area with cover.. Food was really nice. I had chicken Ceasar Burger and my partner had Ginger Chicken Burger 🍔 both enjoyed.. They have a really good Menu and drinks menu.. This is situated in Southampton. There is only on street parking which is meter but seemed to be somewhere to be able to park.. We will go again next time that way as want try cocktails

Incredible food! The Brazilian curry with panko courgette was stunning, deliciously packed full of rich and spicy flavour. 💯 I recommend this meal! The staff were very attentive, welcoming and warm, completely faultless in their service. The meals were given to our party (party of 8) promptly in swift turnarounds and they were readily checking to see if we were all OK and needed any more drinks. We'll definitely be back here but recommend this place for everything 10/10 across the board

We visited on the bank holiday; 01/05/23 after lunch time. It was very quiet inside but reasonably busy in the garden. It was surprising that we weren’t told most of the menu was not being served that day until we tried to order. Staff we friendly and welcoming. Service was a little hit and miss but maybe they were understaffed. Food which was available was nice. Possibly we didn’t the see the best the Smugglers Bar and Restaurant has to offer. I wouldn’t be a rush to return but similarly I also wouldn’t avoid it.

EXCEPTIONAL STAFF! My server Mya was incredibly attentive to not only myself but all of the customers. I only had a couple of drinks and some bar snacks but I was looked after every step of the way, more akin to the service levels of a 5 star hotel or cruise ship. First time here, and its tucked away on one of the backstreets which is quite nice actually. A group of 8 of us walked in and we were able to be seated pretty quickly. I was impressed with the food, the service was initially slow but sped up shortly after. Overall a nice meal and would go back! This restaurant allows you to charge your phone whilst at the table with a portable power bank from in house. That's quite unique and its the first restaurant i have been too which does this. Well done to Smugglers for introducing that.

Amazing restaurant with equally amazing staff (shoutout to Gideon for being so lovely and attentive. As someone who was a bartender and FoH for many years I couldn't commend him more!) and top quality food. Will happily be back to have a drinking night with friends. Incredible atmosphere and even a nice area to have a smoke/vape should you need it. Would rate 10 out of 5 if I could.

Server was friendly and amusing. Location was easy to find food was fantastic and substantial. Will go again!
