Just like it's name, this mall is the biggest in Hsinchu city. Their food hall has plenty great selection of food and dessert! And they even have the best Japanese hair cut store as well. You may want to go there when outside is over 33 degree Celsius.

The only big entertainment in hsinchu. It's great that it has youbike stations nearby, and it's quite a big mall, basement also have a general store. you will often see dancers near the mall, and some of the restrooms has free water, unfortunately there is no bidet. The food is moderately expensive usually costing 200-400 NT. and for shopping the general idea is to find products you like then buy similar ones online to save money

This is one of the most incredible malls I have ever been to. By far the biggest around. 8 floors of shopping and eating. I suggest that if you are in the Hsinchu area, that you take a day and go visit this place. Absolutely amazing to say the least.

Telling the reason of moving here, the lifestyle in the past and displaying the stuff with photos in the past. Showing the environment and history of the Military Dependents Village. Free entry, not crowded on weekdays.

We drove to the museum, the place is hard to parking the car. The museum was fun is shows the old time military villages. Include how do they lived in old what do they eat and what do they for fun. If you are interested to know their old time life it is good to visits there. And there is for free. Not much people going there.

Definitely not the typical Taiwanese night market that tourists are thinking about, where small stalls are set up on the roads at night offering a variety of food and activities. This is a stretch of road that has small brick and mortar shops opened in the evening selling some fashionwear, claw machines bubble tea and a cinema in the midst of the street.

The night market does not suit people who are searching for food. As the night market presents a variety of clothes selection, but it does not have much choices in their food stands . Though it is a great place for people to try on the fashionable clothing available.

It’s just a common traditional market which still open till night. You might find clothing and shoes here. There’s no many places for snacking. It’s near the city centre and supermall

Not a fantastic place to spend time, although the parking space is plenty, lifts are too few to carry people to the floors they want in time. The entire 15 floor building only has about 5 elevators, and no escalators at all. Floor plans arent that smart either; shops are at ground floor to 3rd, and restaurants are on the tops starting from 12th, parking lots are in betweem. Honest to god, who build a building like this? So incompetent.....

I have visited this shopping mall with parents and classmates. I am fond of restaurants on level 12. But there are only few escalators. I still love taking elevators to higher levels. And watch view outside.

I had a lovely meal here. As with many buffet in Taiwan, you get everything you can think of here. The Japanese selection and Taiwanese dishes were all great. The only thing I wasn’t particularly impressed with was the steamed dim sum, but everything else was scrumptious.

Hsinchu Zoo is one of my favorite places to visit from time to time, especially with a lot of green landscape and quite smooth access trails for kids and the elderly. Besides those amazing spots of animals living , there is a fabulous Starbucks coffee shop in the Park area where used to be one of historical buildings in Hsinchu Zoo. This is very first time to visit zoo in Hsinchu.. Time and date: 2025/09/24 Wednesday evening It's good to visit in weekdays as I didnt have to wait at the entrance. You can pay using easycard or use machine to buy tickets..

Hsinchu Zoo is clean. You can spend like 20 to 30 minutes to enjoy the view and check all the animals around the zoo. Also, the huge tress are beautiful🤩. A good place to visit while you are at Hsinchu.

Small zoo. Easily can walk through in 2 hours. Worth a visit if you got nothing to do. Can use easy card at the entrance. There is water supply and a café inside as well. Easily accessible for wheelchairs and kids.

A zoo in Hsinchu, a small scale zoo only. Not too far away from the railway station, about 10 minutes walk from the station. Spending about an hour in the zoo is more than enough. The animals inside seems not very active and some of them looks quite old. The entry fee is not expensive, it cost around NTWD$45 for an adult ticket while buy it in apps.

Very relaxing place. Whenever I want to walk or jog in the morning, this is the place i go to.

This is a clean, well kept park with a wide range of facilities. A lot of work has been done on this park in the last few years and it shows. Inside the park you’ll find a floodlit running track, some nice shaded areas to walk, open areas for skateboarding etc, and on Sundays a flower market. Although the flower market does sell flowers and plants it also has stalls with food, games, and so on. It’s worth mentioning that the park is also safe and doesn’t seem to have anyone hanging around that would make you uncomfortable even at night (we were just there at 9pm). There is a Starbucks and various cafes, including ones in restored historic buildings. It’s worth mentioning that the city zoo is also located in the park.

Beautiful park. The cherry blossoms are the highlight, along with the glass museum and the adjacent glass blowing studio. The overall layout and design reminded me of parks in Japan. The pond with the wooden footbridge and deck were a nice touch. The kids loved viewing the massive koi fish. The day we went, we got to enjoy live music on the deck. Next to the park is a small night market with food vendors and classic games (ring toss, fishing, etc), and a track and field open to the public. The public bathroom by the track is big and relatively clean! Easy walk to and from the backside of the HsinChu train station.

Nice place to look around briefly. There's an underpass from the river nearby (don't try to cross the roundabout!!). Cool piece of history in the middle of the city. The rivers nearby are also really nice. If your bus is quite late (it probably is let's be real) come check it out!

I like this place, from the photo there's a cheap steak house just above the Giordano store. So many food to choose from, my only complaint is that it has so small room and few table good for couple, and 4-6 group of people. During peak hours you have to wait because theres a long qeue.

A lovely walk through the Eighteen Peaks Mountain Park, located in the middle of the city. It is well-visited on weekends, and there are differences in elevation that are easily navigated via steps and paths. Beautiful views of Hsinchu, pavilions in the middle of the city park.

Huge place to "hike". You will be walking on a concrete. I don't consider this a hike because I think it is better to call it as walking. Great place to exercise though as there were a lot of pull up bars. Nice place to relax. There were a lot of water dispenser also so better bring your water bottle with you. I love this place and there's a lot of shade to hide you from the sun.

A very good park. Very close to the Chinchu City. A lots of free parking lots. Covering with a variety of trees 🌳 🌲, letting one can walk on the trails with no confusing with sunshine. Many R.O. water machines are freely provided on the roadside, so one can easily get a drink all the time when one walking or sporting here. The views are good to see the whole Chinchu City. Several toilets inside the park. Many historic bomb shelters exit in the park. Overall speaking, this is a very good city park, just like the Central Park in New York City.

Wide twisting paved paths up a series of small peaks. It's very popular for people doing daily exercise. The flora is beautiful. There are many hand washing stations and drinking water dispensers, with toilets available too. Overall it's great for a pleasant hilly walk.

High quality meat cooked to perfection - with a price to match. We went for the Michelin taster meal for two(their Taipei branch has a Michelin Star). It included a Caesar Salad, Clam Chowder, choice of ribeye, or sirloin with prawns, oolong tea ice-cream, mignardies (Madelines) and tea or coffee for 3800+10%. The bread was nice, the salad was fresh, and the chowder forgettable. The highlight of the meal was easily the meat. Despite ordering the cheaper cut it was excellent. It was sealed the a crispy crust and then gently cooked.

Single person walk in. Bar menu ,Chefs special, deep fried prawns. Fantabulous if paired with the singleton of glen ord 12!!! Amazing service, unfortunate it was a bit empty. But the bar food is fantastic, as is the staff!

You have to tell the chef that you want to add the chili 🌶️ souce 😍😍wow !!! So Good !! Moreover such big amount of oyster 🦪 omelette which is a lot bigger than my face😄 only costs 80 NTD(2.5 USD)

A not so big night market. But it is place which sells Hsinchu famous food, mee fen, fried oyster, "Gan" ball etc It is located outside the temple, and about 10min walk from HsinChu TRA station.

Smaller than the famous night markets in Taiwan but it does the job if you like the Taiwanese food. Many small stalls presenting the variety of food. Its clean and hygienic as usual. Nearby places and streets are worth the stroll. Lovely scenes and beautiful locations. Better to rent the YouBike bicycle and roam around, you will fall in love with it.

We ate here en route to 清境农场 (Cingjing a.k.a. Qingjing Farm). Lunch venue was at this shop" 王家蚵仔煎" located in the vicinity of Hsinchu's City God Temple inside sort of an alleyway lined with food stalls selling the city's all-time favourite and old-time flavours such as Hsinchu rice vermicelli (新竹米粉), fish balls and pork balls (魚丸, 贡丸). The duck egg pancakes sold along the streets were also delicious. We bought 4 pieces for NT$30. The jam is home-made; there's chocolate, custard, lemon, red bean and plain as filling options for those pancakes. This night market operates earlier than most other night markets found in Taiwan but the stalls are not as many as the rest.

This temple is definitely on the list of place to visit if you are traveling to discover Hsinchu. Despite being old and full of history, this temple has interesting design and it's usually quite lively. But the surrounding scene, full of local restaurants, just a few steps away from the main altar, is surprisingly funny. It's like a "Let's pray for whatever we believe or expect, and then, let's enjoy some local food speciality to celebrate it".

The toilets are back there and they are clean enough as far as night market bathrooms go. You can get all the Hsinchu staples here, vermicelli, pork balls, squid soup, oyster pancakes, and crystal meat balls stamped with different red shapes depending on the stall or flavors. They also have other specialty foods like fried black water caltrop, fried taro balls, fresh herbal tea. Highly recommend!

What an interesting place! Very busy, lively and vibrant. The temple is found amidst foodstalls, hidden away from the outside roads. Easy to navigate but intriguing in its design and atmosphere. There was a religious ceremony in process when I was there so I couldn't enter the inside of the temple, but it was fascinating to watch.

The Hsinchu God Temple on New Year's Day was extremely busy and crowded. There were a lot of people there to pray and make offerings, which made it difficult to move around. The smoke from incense added to the festive atmosphere, but also made it a bit overwhelming for those sensitive to smoke. Overall, the temple is a must-visit during the New Year celebrations and is a great place to experience traditional Taiwanese culture.

A quiet park where you can walk across stepping stones on the water or admire the scenery. It's nice but small, and not much else to do but walk and maybe look at the fish and turtles. No playgrounds or kids area, but a nice stroll overall when you're wandering the area. Leads to the East Gate of Hsinchu.

Hsinchu is a youngish city with lots of tall buildings and wind canyons but the Moat gardens are a welcome break from the cityscape. Green and shady with the river flowing slowly through a nice break from the sun too. There is a lot of different wildlife, birds turtles and fish to spot and in the evenings they run a market too. An interesting feature is the Yiin Hsi East Gate now in the middle of a busy roundabout but a little oasis of interest and calm.

It’s probably nicer at night but during the day the kids had fun going back and forth.

A strip of greenery running through 5he city, with a canal in the middle. Fish, birds and turtles call this place home. Nothing much to do, just relax and enjoy. Passes through the site of the old city East gate.

I like this place very much..my favourite place in Hsinchu.. It's a park in the middle of the town.. Making the walking distance from places not feeling long as you enjoying the view.. Almost every day walking thru this park after work..

Situated at 4th ground floor, at Big City. Not very big, but still you can find, almost everthing related to groceries. If you are visiting Big City, then you can visit a.mart. You can buy fruits vegetables also there. But not recommended for special visit, if you want to buy groceries. It's a little big version of PX Mart. Parking is not at issue, as it is at Big City.

If purchased refrigerated or frozen items, you can take your receipt to the service counter after checkout to request an ice pack to keep them cold. Your purchase can also be used to validate parking.

It’s a supermarket in a shopping mall, large but not massive. Access is from Basement 1 or basement 3, but the supermarket is in B3. It’s a very normal supermarket with normal prices (if you want luxury or imported items CitySuper is on B1). The there is a good choice of fresh meat, fruit etc A wide range of wine and beer. Plus a small selection of furniture and household appliances. A convenient and affordable place to get groceries when you’ve been shopping.

The music and announcements are too loud. It is a health risk to come to this store. Why not keep the volume lower, why do we have to almost scream to hear ourselves in some parts of the store?

This is the newly opened branch of Paul’s - French food at a price. Everything we had was pleasant especially the fish and chips that my niece ordered. The service was a bit mixed with things coming at different times, but that might be the odd of what’s an appetiser and what is a main (fish and chips was a appetiser, as was my side portion of fries?). Unfortunately we didn’t eat dessert which looked nice. Overall a nice environment with pleasant food, I wasn’t wowed by anything and it was slightly expensive, but overall a good experience.

They have very tasty strawberry cake. It is a kind of patisseries with yellow cream and sliced strawberries. Three combination is very good, it feels like out side of cake is crispy but middle layer is vey soft, sweet creams. Once you try it, you will love it. Highly recommended to try. One of the best cake in Hsinchu area.

A hotpot chain store from China. No doubt of their service. Explain details and suggestion dishes. Also chief’s special. You can choose up to four different soups. Waiters been trained to come ask and serve all the time. Feel a little embarrassing and disturbing. Come with noodle swing and change face show. Rest and wait area with snacks and drinks to serve. Also provide kids room/ nail salon. The quality is fine and $$$ quite high price.

I have always love to dine in HDL no matter which country I am in. They always have awesome service, kid friendly environment. Today the server 子容 made my day!

Luxury hotpot with amazing service, very fresh ingredients and prices to match. We loved this restaurant and their attention to detail. When you sit down you’re given an apron, finger wipes and if you’re wearing glasses a lens cleaner. Is that kind of place with that kind of attentiveness (I was thirsty and so my glass was immediately changed for a bigger one). Onto the food we ordered the tomato and the sichuan hot pot soup base - both were delicious. The meat was excellent and could be ordered as a whole or half place. Be aware that it’s an expense place - in terms of value for money the pork was the best meat The portions for the string mushrooms were very generous. I’d also recommend the cucumber (yes in a hotpot) and the fresh noodles, not because you get many but because they were so good. As well as the dishes you order you’re given unlimited cold noodles with carrot, edamame beans, and seaweed. Hai Di Lao is up there with Din Tai Fung - places that taste great but are only for special occasions. Part of what you would normally be paying for is the art of marking fresh noodles at your table and the extra services (getting your nails done, shoes cleaned etc). This can’t happen now because of Covid-19. So be aware of this before you go.

It’s one of my favorite restaurants. Our server: 范羽辰 was the most professional, thoughtful and friendly waitress I’ve ever met. Hot pot soup was flavorful and made from scratch- we chose four flavors. Shrimp paste was incredible- seasoned to perfection, firm and very fresh. So was Haidiao Style Sliced Beef- lean yet soft. Our server helped us choose the most popular and tasty dishes- she was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. We also got free dessert- delicious Fried Sliver Thread Buns. Incredible experience, delicious fresh food and outstanding service. That’s why we keep coming back.
