Park
Guanyinting Recreation Area is a popular destination in Penghu, known for its picturesque lake and iconic Rainbow Bridge. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the area, which includes a historic temple, playground, and even an ice rink. The seafront park offers a serene setting for activities such as jogging, cycling, and picnicking while enjoying stunning sunset views from the 200ft-long Rainbow Bridge.
A very famous location that frequently holds various local events. We happened to attend their yearly music fest. The place is named after a popular historical temple. There is a bridge across the piers which can be accessed from either sides. On top of the bridge, you can see other sides of the island if weather permits. We spent about 30-40 minutes visiting various parts of the area. It's a must see landmark.

This is the viewing location for the annual International Fireworks Festival, usually every Monday and Thursday from mid April to mid June. Amazing 🌟🌠💥🎆🎇
Vincent O — Google review
Here for the April-June fireworks and what an amazing experience. The drones show and fireworks extragravaza lasted almost 30mins. There's a nice huge kids playground (permanent) and concert during the fireworks season too. By its entrance, there's a small night market.
Rtexal T — Google review
Visited Penghu during the fireworks event. This year event theme is Snoppy. 600 drone show and also fireworks lasted for about 20mins. Such wonderful event should plan ahead and come again next year.
Belinda W — Google review
Very nice place for sunset sightseeing and night walking. Sea view is very pretty and the sea wind toward body is very pleasant in summer. Not only for sightseeing, swimming is allowed for public. Location is walking distance in urban area.
James C — Google review
Definitely a good place to visit and play, for a day or two. My last visit was six years ago in October. The sunset and the evening stroll there was beautiful and unforgettable. Perhaps my photos herewith can be a reference for all!
Adolf C — Google review
Comfortable place to visit, if its not too hot. Beautiful ocean and the bridge together is wonderful. At spring has fire work event.

This time we joined the package tour called "Night SUP" which is mean STAND UP PADDLE. During fireworks display, we was seated on the surfboard watching fireworks. I think this festival is so amazing and stunning. I highly recommend everyone to join this festival if you are traveling in Peng-hu.

Duxingshi Village

Historical place
Duxingshi Village, also known as Duxing 10th Village, is a cultural destination in Taiwan that offers a blend of history and modern attractions. Once serving as the venue for artillery bands practices and drills during the Qing Dynasty, it later became a settlement for foreign soldiers and their families after the Japanese army left. The village features well-preserved former army dormitories that have been repurposed into colorful art and craft stores, cafes, and historical sites.
Duxingshi is the oldest military housing in Taiwan. It is also the town famous for the birth of many Taiwan Singers. There will be two singer museum on their live in the village. The town is filled with many graphic wording and it’s quite nice to take photo with it. The town is quite big so take your time to walk.
Shawn — Google review
Mixture of old and new built buildings occupied by an even greater mix of tenants, businesses, schools, thrift shops and cafes. An identity crisis, without a binding theme to gel the different concepts.
Matthew L — Google review
Great little tourist spot. Plenty accessible for an English speaker. Great museums about the singers. Reasonable shops, cool t-shirt place.
Tyler P — Google review
A no-admisdion-fee historical site innovated from a military dependents village named "Duxing 10th Village." In 1949-50, about two-million Nationalists retreated to Taiwan after being defeated by the Communist in a 4-year civil war in Mainland China (1945-49). To settle those loyal military personnels, President Chiang Kai-shek of the Republic of China (Nationalist) allocated certain Japan colonist' houses into his military dependents village. Because two famous popular-music singers named Pan Anbang and Zhang Yusen grew up here, this historical site focuses on their stories. One may spent 30-60 minutes to visit.
Hsiaoming ( — Google review
Very nostalgic. Old military family houses transformed into a tourist place. Many shops and houses to tour around. Coffee, soft drinks or gifts are available. Public toilets are easily found. This location is also very close to the downtown Penghu.

Overall, Tunglih is a fascinating place to visit for those interested in Taiwanese culture and history. The village offers a glimpse into the past and showcases the unique architecture, traditions, and lifestyle of the people who have lived in Penghu for centuries.

After recent years of renovation, the place successfully turns to be a popular spot for its old village times. Thanks to the local singer, Yu-Sheng and an-ban, the village becomes more unique than other similar places.

Fongguei Cave, located at the southwestern tip of an island, is a basalt column sea cave famous for the whistling sounds produced by waves sucking air through narrow vents. The cave offers a platform to admire the coastline and experience the power of the sea, with strong currents creating roaring sounds. During typhoon season, the air vent transforms into a powerful fountain shooting water several stories high.
Sea wind is strong in this area , while riding motorcycle to here , be careful.. The sea view is worth to visit, sea views are the treasure of PenHu islands 👍

The scenery is so stunning. If you are stay on the top of the tower, you can see great ocean and massive basalt. Besides, you can also hear waves hit on the rock sounds but I prefer the view. I think if I am in the bad mood then see this amazing view, I will feel better in the short time. There are several bench that you can sit and see these wonderful ocean view. So nice.
CHIKAI ( — Google review
Nice rocky outcrop, especially for the fishermen. The sea was quite calm, despite strong winds, so the waves didn't make any drumming or whistling...!? Cave is small and not easily seen from the rocks. The water is really clean! The white towers are impressive and are just an observation platform.
Vincent O — Google review
Incredibly and unbelievably hot in the summer months. Be sure to bring a hat and sunscreen. The sun is really strong and it's common to get heat strokes if visiting during the day. Also, they're not really caves. It's more of a rocky spot with some small blowholes.

Blessed Oyster Restaurant is a recommended spot for seafood enthusiasts, particularly those who love oysters. The scallop over rice dish was surprisingly delightful, with well-balanced seasoning and a hint of spiciness. Their renowned "ua tsen" or oyster pancake stood out as the best in Taiwan. Freshly steamed oysters were also a highlight, boasting great flavor. Other dishes on the menu were equally impressive.
I love the oyster rice and steamed oyster. The oysters are so fresh and seasoned well. The squid rice noodle is so so. The hotate roll was a bit too salty. They have quite a lot seats and with AC room. Clean toilet. Fast serve. Cash only though.

What can I say? Wow! This place is a must visit if you like seafood and especially oysters. I tried the scallop over rice which was surprisingly good. Perfectly seasoned and a bit spicy. The "ua tsen" or oyster pancake, was the best so far I've tried in Taiwan. The steamed oysters were fresh and tasted great. The rest of the dishes were great as well. Seafood restaurant
Zhangjin Restaurant is a spacious dining venue that caters primarily to larger groups, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings or celebrations. The menu offers a delightful array of small to medium-sized main dishes, showcasing local specialties like crab congee and drunk chicken. While the atmosphere is casual and unpretentious, the food truly shines with its freshness and rich flavors. Guests can enjoy a self-service beer fridge or choose from an extensive selection of spirits, including local rice wine and premium options like J.
Good place for family gathering. Food taste is average. This restaurant is specialized banquet style set course for five or more people. One of local favorites. Seafood price is seasonal. Normally October through February are on the high end, due to high ocean waves, 4 meters or higher, can easily capsize a mid size fishing boat. Mid size cuttlefish, water cooked, eat with dipping sauce, plain and simple (4 star) Sea cucumber, jelly fish, cuttlefish stuffed with egg yolk and fish roe, oyster mushroom. Cold dish. (3 star) Soft shell crab rice congee. November is the season for this kind of dish. Crab paste 蟹膏 is the best.(4 star) Water cooked shrimp, not prepared from live shrimp I believe, eat with dipping sauce. (3 star) Penghu melon with baby clam meat. Nice dish, crunchy. Taste far better than those Penghu melon served on Taiwan island. (5 star) Sea urchin scrambled egg, taste ok, nothing special. (2 star) Steamed sea bream, tasty, fresh (4 star) Stir fried fan shell meat, average (3 star) Sea sponge fish ball soup, delicious, do not know the correct English name on sea sponge, it belongs to seaweed family. (5 star) Deep fried cuttlefish nugget and pan fried red bride fish. Penghu is famous for cuttlefish ball. Red bride fish is very popular among the locals. must try dish when visiting the island. We visited this restaurant for lunch and had a great meal. The place is simple, not luxurious, but the food speaks for itself. We ordered the crab congee, which was rich and flavourful, and tried other local specialities such as drunk chicken and shrimps pancake. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. Service was efficient, though communication in English was limited. The atmosphere is casual, with a focus on the food rather than decor. It’s the kind of place where locals come for a satisfying meal, and we could see why. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and the portions were generous. If you’re in Magong and want authentic, well-cooked dishes, this is a great option.
Davide M — Google review
The dish cost around 180$ , fish was tiny. Owner was nice but food just soso. Won’t come again for sure.
Jess L — Google review
The food was so so, you can tell the ingredients were fresh, but there wasn’t much that stood out in terms of cooking technique or flavour. The biggest issue, though, was the smell inside the restaurant. As soon as I walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant odour, similar to a toilet. It seemed to be coming from the restroom, which is located right by the entrance and had its door left wide open. I actually had to close it myself to try to stop the smell from spreading, and also asked the staff to keep it shut, as every time someone went in, the smell came right out into the dining area.

Reservation is highly recommended for the weekend. They were packed! Sea food was fresh. We ordered the mood sized uni for about $15 USD. There were about 10 big pieces. Fried rice and fried oyster rolls were good too.

It’s a large restaurant with big tables, and small/medium portioned main dishes - catering mostly to big groups. Tough to choose from so many options and only 2 of us to eat! The owner lady was very kind and knew some English, and had an English menu as well. She suggested some yummy dishes. You can grab your own giant beer out of the fridge, or you can try some shots or a bottle of a huge selection of spirits, ranging from local rice wine to J.Walker Blue. The stir fried garlic prawns were amazing, and the shrimp and egg fried rice was so good I wanted 2nds and 3rds. Price was good, and atmosphere was very quiet (although I imagine it’s different when the place is packed with groups).

Good food, particularly the squid pancake is really nice. We had pen ftied big clams, which is really yummy! But still suggest the restaurant is for large group of people.

Really good Japanese style food all cooked just right. The waitress was really helpful and explained the menu really well to us. Would recommend if you want a change from the delicious seafood found elsewhere. Thanks!

The food is high quality and tasty But, I've been there three times and have always been disappointed with the service. The portions are far too big and they won't let you share which leads to wasted food. The music is too loud and the lighting feels like a hospital.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Aimen Beach, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Chixi Rock Waterfall. All together, your day would be filled with about 6 hours of non-stop fun.

Aimen Beach

Beach
Aimen Beach is a perfect destination for travelers seeking a fun-filled morning of water sports and beach activities. The area offers sandy stretches with options for swimming, as well as rentals for various water sports. Visitors can also find amenities such as outdoor shower facilities and changing rooms, making it convenient for those catching a flight from the nearby airport. Additionally, the beach provides shade tents available for rent to ensure a comfortable experience under the tropical sun.
Beautiful beach with rooms to change and public toilets. Off season you have the beach all to yourself

Clean beach and water. Lovely wooden walkway along above the beach. Lots of water sport rides available. Looks like a brand new facility (restaurant?) been built - not yet open. Without a car or scooter, the bus stops are a fair walk. We walked from the airport as the Express buses more frequent.
Vincent O — Google review
Visited on November 2nd. The beach is beautiful but very windy — the sand was flying everywhere! It was peaceful and not crowded at all, only a few people around. Sadly, the coffee shop was closed that day.

This beach is… fine. A little hard for kids to swim since most of it is rocky where you’d enter the water and depth increases quickly as you walk out. We found one sandy party over where the jet skis were which was good enough for my 5yo to dip in and splash around a bit. Sun is so strong and so hot in June, bring shade + lots of sunscreen.
Gabe R — Google review
Conveniently located only a few minutes from the airport. There are outdoor shower facilities and changing rooms, so you can enjoy the beach, then rinse off & change before catching a flight. The sand & water are both nice, and it's one of the few beaches with shade tents available for rent (a must if you burn easily in the tropical sun). Unfortunately, there is a large collection of cigarette butts wedged into the umbrella support of the beach tables, which does make the area smell a bit like smoke. The beach is largely used for water sports, so there are people using jet skis, SUP, and small canoes. Make sure to watch out for those while swimming, as the operators are not always paying close attention.

Shili Beach

Beach
Shili Beach is a serene and secluded stretch of soft white sand, offering a tranquil setting for swimming, sunset strolls, and camping. Unlike other beaches in the area, Shili Beach is free from bars or restaurants, so visitors should bring their own food. The calm waters are perfect for a relaxing swim and offer opportunities for water sports like water skiing and self-powered surfboarding. There are also amenities such as umbrellas and tents available. Additionally, there's a coffee shop on-site.
One of the beaches I love most in Penghu.
Ta-Hui Y — Google review
One of Penghu's most beautiful, least spoilt beaches. Soft white sand, shallow and safe water for swimming or doing other water sports. There's a place to buy snacks and drinks, shelter from the sun and Poseidon water sports centre. Great for camping.

David H — Google review
We really enjoyed this beach. The sand is comfortable under foot. The water is cool and easy swimming for our five-year-old. The are some services like umbrellas and tents. There are activities like water skiing and a self-powered surf board (I’m not sure what they are called) but not so much to make swimmers feel unsafe. There is a coffee shop. The only issue I have is paying for rinsing facilities that are not very useful.

Museum
Penghu Living Museum is a large modern museum that provides an excellent overview of the history, culture, and changing lifestyles of Penghu. Visitors can explore artifacts, scale models, and exhibits that showcase the island's people and their way of life. The museum also features an offshore fishing farm where visitors can learn about fishing techniques and experience net fishing at Inkai Island (Yuan Bei Wharf).
An excellent modern museum showcasing Penghu culture and the cultures and history of the region. It has an amazing large diorama of Wang-an island settlement and a great area for children to interact and learn. Great for English speaking visitors to get an insight into the history
Lucas H — Google review
Go to the ticket window to the right of the museum entrance to buy one or redeem a voucher (e.g., from Klook). Then you’ll have a physical ticket that the entrance staff will hole punch. I spent almost two hours here perusing the exhibits and learning about the history and culture of Penghu. The first floor is a series of interactive exhibits for kids and is only in Chinese, so I skipped over that. Floors two and three had a good portion of trilingual content (Chinese, English, and Japanese), but about half was only in Chinese. For unilingual items I was particularly curious about, I used Google Translate using my camera, which helped. I appreciated the creativity that Penghu residents have in making use of available materials to house, feed, and entertain themselves.
Tiff T — Google review
Come And visit on propose because of the famous siew yok 🤭. The ticket price is not cheap For tourist but free to local. TBH only the displays from the Taipei Palace catch my eyes while others displays i can tell they try very hard to demonstrate penghu culture... Good place to rest and enjoy the ac hiding from the sizzling weather in summer.

Dream Beach

(1955)
Dream Beach, located on Penghu Island, is a picturesque and unique destination that lives up to its name. Accessible only during low tide, this U-shaped coastline features stunning columnar basalts formed from volcanic lava. Despite being busier than other beaches on the island, it offers clear blue waters and a relatively uncrowded atmosphere. With its beautiful and special setting next to a dam, it's an ideal spot for swimming and enjoying breathtaking sunsets.

Chixi Rock Waterfall

4.6
(1815)
Chixi Rock Waterfall is a stunning coastal gem that captivates visitors with its unique basalt formations, created by the cooling of lava. This remarkable site gets its name from the way these stone columns appear to cascade down like a waterfall when viewed from below. Unlike other well-known sites, Chixi offers an opportunity to explore nearby rectangular stone weirs, adding to its charm. The area is perfect for sunset watching, providing breathtaking views of the ocean and dramatic rock cliffs.
Great spot for waiting for the Sun set. It’s an unique place to see these volcano type rocks and clips. You can sit for an hour to see the sea and the sunset. Beautiful indeed.

Overall it was a good experience…7 pm reso… total of 3 tables of customer on a Sunday night. 1. Every dish was great 2. Service could be better… seemed like the employees were new to food service. Couldn’t respond well to alcohol beer requests in terms of types, sizes. We ordered land chops and had to ask twice for set of cutlery ( knife and fork) in order to eat the food delivered to us. They were always nice and responded to our asks, we just felt to had to ask for more than we are used to for basics. 3. Validation of covid vaccination resulted in discount… woohoo! Overall, loved the food, portions, and compared to other places in Magong city, totally worth the price / portion/ quality of food. Spent $3050 NT for 4 adults 2 kids including wine, juice, and beers.

(Translated by Google) "It's a lucky shop" ——————————- Respond to the store's reply 1. The quality of the three-point crabs sold at your stall that night was obviously different from the all-you-can-eat three-point crabs on site. I guess it's really smart to use the poor quality ones for all-you-can-eat. 2. We didn’t expect to eat flower crabs. We are usually satisfied with good-quality three-point crabs. When we went back to look at the photos, we found that there were flower crabs, but both were female crabs holding eggs. This ignores the ethics of marine conservation. Generally speaking, egg-bearing female crabs are not delicious. No wonder eating them at that time was not as amazing as eating flower crabs, so I have no memory at all. After thinking about it, it was another dish that could not be sold so it was served on the table. 3. Finally, there is the issue of price. I will not say that your meal is only worth 440, but it is really not worth it for one person to spend 1,100 to eat seafood of poor quality, small quantity, and heavy seasoning. 4. It was you who came up with the concept of the seafood tasting party. Everyone is looking forward to delicious Penghu seafood, but this experience feels that the guests are treated like seafood amateurs, eating all-you-can-eat crabs and serving eggs that cannot be sold. Female crab, the above are real experiences. I hope the store will not treat the person who asked the question as an out-of-service customer. The following is the original text ———————— I went to eat when the price was 1100. I had done my homework and understood that the focus was not on the environment or service, but on the fresh seafood. The only special thing we ate that day was one prawn per person (but one of them was 1/2 the size of the other three, so we had to divide it up) You can eat a large cage of crabs all you want, but they are all meatless, empty shell crabs that are super light to pick up. I must have picked the leftover crabs, because I saw at the market that day that they had a stall selling crabs of similar sizes, and The staff also asked whether we should take it away, otherwise the rest will be thrown away@@ It turns out that we are eating the discarded crabs! Isn't it a seafood tasting party? The others are some commonly seen bell snails, which cost about 150 yuan outside, steamed oysters, and heavily seasoned fish. How can fresh seafood be seasoned with the same seasoning as tilapia? How can you taste the original taste? Nothing else. Special sashimi and shellfish Thank you boss for the seafood sample that will be the biggest failure of our trip to Penghu. XDD The total cost of 4,400 yuan for four people is extremely expensive. I guess there may be a large order that day, and the high-quality seafood will be taken to the store for sale first. There must be people who eat well and get great value for money, but seeing so many one-star reviews, I believe that many people are in the same situation as me. If you only travel to Penghu occasionally, I suggest you don’t use your precious time to go there. bet. If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Penghu, Ri Xin Restaurant is definitely worth considering. More like a 4.5, IMO but still a good choice. A taxi driver recommended this restaurant to my group. Transliterated as “Jih Hsin”on the sign. Family style, specializing in seafood, of course. The steamed fish, oysters with soy and scallions, sushi, noodles with shrimp and squash were excellent; fish soup, fried fish/shrimp cake, shrimp, crab were also good. The only dish our group didn’t like so much was a braised squid dish. Would liked to have had a veggie dish or two, but they’re probably out of season. Would happily go again.

Fortress
Historical landmark
Nestled in the northwest corner of Magong City, Jinguitou Fort stands as a testament to the military architecture of the Qing Dynasty, specifically from the Guangxu reign. This impressive fortification was strategically built to protect Penghu Harbor and is crafted from robust granite. Visitors can explore its well-preserved gun emplacements and observation platforms, along with remnants of barracks that tell tales of its storied past.
A historic place with beautiful ocean views.

Cool place to visit, has a restroom, but most of the places are closed and you can't enter. Daily tours to the secret tunnel at 10 am and 2:30 pm. Need to go wait and register 30 minutes earlier. 30NT per person, takes a hour. It's a great place to watch the sea and thus, the summer fireworks. Free admission. Could kill about 20 to 30 minutes max. Only one exhibition.

Relative to other old forts I've seen, this is not very well presented or interesting. Definitely worth a look when in Penghu but not a key visit highlight for me

Shuncheng Gate stands as a remarkable remnant of the Magong City ruins, which was the last city constructed in Taiwan during the Qing dynasty. Among the original six gates, Shuncheng Gate is the only one that has survived, making it a significant historical monument. Known as "Little West Gate," this impressive structure not only showcases architectural beauty but also offers stunning views of Makong Harbor from its elevated position.

(Translated by Google) Magong Ancient City: Shuncheng Gate Shuncheng Gate in Penghu: A majestic gate that witnesses the history of Magong City Shuncheng Gate, also known as "Little West Gate", is a national monument located in the Magong District of Penghu. It is not only the most complete city gate left by the Magong City (also known as Guangxu City) in the Qing Dynasty, but also the only precious relic that still retains the gatehouse (enemy tower). It is a must-visit place to explore the history and military defense development of Penghu. Now it is a good place to pet cats, and there are several sterilized stray cats working here. * Historical status: Shuncheng Gate is one of the six city gates of the "Magong City", the last official defensive city built by the Qing Dynasty. It was built in the 13th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1887). After the Sino-French War, the Qing government built this city to strengthen the defense of Penghu. Shuncheng Gate has thus become an important landmark that witnesses the historical changes of Taiwan's coastal defense. * Architectural features: The main body of the city gate is made of Penghu's local basalt (black stone) and 硓𥑮 stone (coral reef stone). The wall is thick, showing a simple and steady military architectural style. The single-ridged city tower above it is the only gate building preserved in the ruins of the ancient city of Magong, and it is antique. Climbing the city tower, you can overlook the magnificent sea view of Magong Port, with an excellent view. * Tour value: Visitors can not only appreciate the architectural beauty of the ancient city gate, but also climb the city wall along the stairs beside the city gate and stroll on the ancient wall. Shuncheng Gate connects a section of the ancient city wall ruins about 700 meters long, extending northward, leading tourists all the way to the "Duxing Ten Village Cultural Park", full of nostalgic atmosphere along the way. * Connection to surrounding attractions: Shuncheng Gate has an excellent geographical location and is the core of the ancient monuments in Magong City. From here, you can easily walk to: * Duxing Ten Village Cultural Park: The oldest military dependents' village in Taiwan, now a cultural and creative park, with the story house of the late singer Zhang Yusheng and the Pan Anbang Memorial Hall. * Central Old Street: The earliest commercial street developed in Penghu, retaining the quaint street house style. * Penghu Tianhou Temple: The oldest Mazu temple in Taiwan and listed as a national monument. * Four-Eyed Well: The most representative ancient well in Central Old Street. Shuncheng Gate is not only an isolated monument, it is more like a door of time, leading travelers into the past of Ma Temple, feeling the layers and depth of history, and is an excellent starting point for experiencing the humanities of Penghu. Located on the western edge of Magong Harbor, it commands the harbor and serves as a fortified coastal defense outpost. The city has a circumference of approximately two li and covers an area of 26 hectares. The Little West Gate is inscribed with "Shuncheng," symbolizing peace and prosperity. The lower section of the gatehouse is constructed of basalt, while the upper section is decorated with slate and red brick bands. The arched gatehouse is topped with a single-story watchtower, clad in oyster shell plaster to protect against salt winds. This reflects the use of materials from Penghu's islands and reefs and the construction techniques of the late Qing Dynasty's firearms era. Most of the city walls were demolished during the Japanese colonial period, with Shuncheng Gate and the Great West Gate remaining. After renovations in 1986 and 2015, they were designated as national monuments and are open to the public 24 hours a day. Penghu Guanyin Temple, originally established in 1696 during the Qing dynasty, was rebuilt in 1927 and features a distinctive three-layered roof. Dedicated to Guanyin and Long-Wang, it is a popular site during the Penghu Fireworks Festival. The temple offers a tranquil setting facing the rough sea and is one of the oldest on the island. Visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions such as a night market with food stalls and stunning sunset views.

The fireworks are amazing!! Penghu international fireworks festival happens around late april-june twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. The fireworks are sooooo pretty and close up in the sky. Show actually starts at 9 but come a bit earlier to check out a small night market nearby with food stalls. Their opening starts at 8pm. Find a good spot to get a nice view, the bridge side is usually packed. Definitely recommend picking days where the fireworks are happening to visit!

Xiying Rainbow Bridge, located in Penghu, is a pedestrian-only bridge that spans a human-made bay on the west side of Magong. The area around the bridge, known as Guanyinting or Guanyin Pavilion, features the ancient Guanyin Temple and its famous pair of stone lions. At night, the bridge becomes a spectacular sight with LED lights reflecting on the water. During the day, visitors can enjoy swimming or admiring the coast.
We love visit this bridge everytime in Penghu. It's actually a bay, where you can swim and the bay is shallow. There is shower facility in this area, great for family. But make sure to bring your own shield because it can be very hot in the open space.

I came in the morning, the beach is beautiful. You can play in the sand there when the morning is not too hot. But I was hoping for lights on the bridge. So I came again at night. But it turned out the lights were not on either. I was disappointed, but I got a photo from the park near the bridge.

Nice place to go for an evening stroll when the weather is nice. During the summer they have firework shows here all the time, which gets really chaotic with people coming to see them. Nice to snag a few shots at night when the rainbow lights shine onto the water. The whole area around here is nice for walking around. Definitely worth walking around if you’ve never been here before. Or if you have, nice to walk around here when there aren’t thousands of people.

A few months late in posting this review but saw some old pictures from my last trip over here and just gotta say this was a beautiful picture spot to watch the fireworks go up in the sky! Get to the park nearby early so you can pick a good place to wait since it gets pretty crowded closer to when the fireworks starts. The bridge was really colorful at night, it lights up in rainbow colors! The fireworks were amazing and I definitely recommend planning your trip around the time they have this in the summer to see it! I'd totally go back just for this again even though getting to the island was a bit of a hassle, still so worth it!

But sushi has a lot of vinegar rice🍣 One pill is probably worth two from the chain😅 I will be full soon… The tofu skin sushi has too much rice. The acidity of the vinegar rice completely overwhelms the sweetness of the tofu skin😗 So when eating seafood nigiri sushi, I use chopsticks to cut off the rice a little🥢 The sweetness of the seafood will not be overwhelmed by the vinegar rice 😉 It’s great to put wasabi between the meat and rice🤩👍🏻 (Heavy wasabi lover 😍) . You can choose hand rolls with cabbage or rice. It’s a good idea to choose cabbage 😂 Otherwise, my stomach will burst from the jealous rice w It tastes very refreshing~ Unfortunately, the salmon roe that I wanted to eat was not available that day, so I changed it to shrimp roe🥲 . Add a drop of lemon to the dobosha steaming to taste sweet and refreshing! There are plenty of ingredients including chicken, mushrooms, fish slabs, and clams~ . Fried food 🍤 doesn’t taste too greasy and doesn’t smell like fuel consumption~ The fish steak is very tender👍🏻 . There are two cats at the door, both of them are very dear 🐈 Will take the initiative to turn his belly or raise his buttocks to follow others🥺❤️ (Original)

(Translated by Google) A year ago, the food was fresh, the portions were adequate, the service staff was friendly, and the kids loved the salmon fried rice and nigiri sushi. I visited again after half a year. The quality is not stable enough. I wonder if there has been any improvement recently?

(Translated by Google) There is no break during the Lunar New Year, so it is very suitable for gatherings. Today I ordered the sashimi set meal and the tempura set meal. The sashimi was full of freshness. The side dishes include steamed eggs, sushi, miso soup and asparagus hand rolls. The items are rich and you will feel full after eating them. Generally speaking, the taste is more Taiwanese-style Japanese food. The tempura set meal comes with various vegetables, sweet potatoes and shrimps. Sugar-free hot tea is also available. The food is served very quickly, and the waiter's service attitude is very friendly and attentive.

(Translated by Google) Hmm. Really, you should trust the reviews and not be too picky! The chicken in the chicken butter yaki and chawanmushi (custard cake) had a really fishy smell that was completely inedible. The sashimi was also average. The food really needs to be improved.

(Translated by Google) The whole room smells like cockroaches? Fuel consumption smell? To sum up in advance, the price is average in terms of Japanese food, and the price-performance ratio is very low in terms of the food inside, which means it is very expensive and not delicious. I ordered a total of more than 600 yuan of food, more than 200 yuan of sushi, and more than 400 yuan of sashimi set meals. There is not even sashimi in the 200 plus sushi set. Inside are flower sushi and tofu skin sushi with shrimp eggs dipped on the outside, which are a bit sour. There are also sushi that are usually wrapped in seaweed. The portion of the sushi is a pile of rice and there is not much inside↓. The sashimi set meal has a small amount of ingredients and good freshness. However, chawanmushi is not even fresh and sweet. It only adds mushrooms and pork, which is very strange. Chawanmushi is a Japanese-style food that has nothing to do with pork.

(Translated by Google) The proprietress has been here for more than 40 years and started her business with Sichuan cuisine. Cold noodles, the noodles are springy, the sauce will adhere to the noodles, the acidity is adjusted very well, it is really chewy and delicious Cold preserved egg snails, you must try it, it’s quite delicious Hot and sour soup. This is the first time I have eaten hot and sour soup with vermicelli added. It is very authentic.

There is easy parking nearby. There is also a smoking area. The beer is very smooth. It is a must-visit store when you come to Magong. Jiaqian is also very friendly! (Translated by Google) There is no MSG, no heavy soy sauce taste, no luxurious and exquisite surprises, and no high-end live fish and seafood. But the food is fresh, and it is the taste of home-cooked stir-fry that you will always come here and never get tired of. The price is reasonable and affordable. I have come here at least ten times. The fish cooked with sour cabbage is tasty, and the seaweed vermicelli and pumpkin rice vermicelli are Penghu classics, and they are also fried well. The tofu series is not too burnt. The pineapple shrimp balls are a home version, which is not as good as high-end restaurants but is enough to satisfy you and very affordable. Every other dish is also delicious.
