This is the viewing location for the annual International Fireworks Festival, usually every Monday and Thursday from mid April to mid June. Amazing 🌟🌠💥🎆🎇

Here for the April-June fireworks and what an amazing experience. The drones show and fireworks extragravaza lasted almost 30mins. There's a nice huge kids playground (permanent) and concert during the fireworks season too. By its entrance, there's a small night market.

Visited Penghu during the fireworks event. This year event theme is Snoppy. 600 drone show and also fireworks lasted for about 20mins. Such wonderful event should plan ahead and come again next year.

Very nice place for sunset sightseeing and night walking. Sea view is very pretty and the sea wind toward body is very pleasant in summer. Not only for sightseeing, swimming is allowed for public. Location is walking distance in urban area.

Definitely a good place to visit and play, for a day or two. My last visit was six years ago in October. The sunset and the evening stroll there was beautiful and unforgettable. Perhaps my photos herewith can be a reference for all!

Comfortable place to visit, if its not too hot. Beautiful ocean and the bridge together is wonderful. At spring has fire work event.

This time we joined the package tour called "Night SUP" which is mean STAND UP PADDLE. During fireworks display, we was seated on the surfboard watching fireworks. I think this festival is so amazing and stunning. I highly recommend everyone to join this festival if you are traveling in Peng-hu.

Mixture of old and new built buildings occupied by an even greater mix of tenants, businesses, schools, thrift shops and cafes. An identity crisis, without a binding theme to gel the different concepts.

A no-admisdion-fee historical site innovated from a military dependents village named "Duxing 10th Village." In 1949-50, about two-million Nationalists retreated to Taiwan after being defeated by the Communist in a 4-year civil war in Mainland China (1945-49). To settle those loyal military personnels, President Chiang Kai-shek of the Republic of China (Nationalist) allocated certain Japan colonist' houses into his military dependents village. Because two famous popular-music singers named Pan Anbang and Zhang Yusen grew up here, this historical site focuses on their stories. One may spent 30-60 minutes to visit.

Very nostalgic. Old military family houses transformed into a tourist place. Many shops and houses to tour around. Coffee, soft drinks or gifts are available. Public toilets are easily found. This location is also very close to the downtown Penghu.

After recent years of renovation, the place successfully turns to be a popular spot for its old village times. Thanks to the local singer, Yu-Sheng and an-ban, the village becomes more unique than other similar places.

Walk around this area to see a small townish spot, wear a hat and put some sunblock on since it gets pretty hot here. They have some fun wall art with old styles that brings back old childhood memories. Good to check out if you want to kill some time.

Small place with Mr Chang Yu Sheng background and history. Nice place to know him better. However, there are a lot of mosquitoes at this place.

A memorial museum for the late Chang Yu-Sheng. He is a famous singer that passed on due to a car incident. He came from Penghu and his song is widely renowned for both the young and old even till date. The memorial museum showcase his life growing up in the village and all his milestone and songs he sang. Lots of lyrics are written on the walls. This is a nice place to know his history and his song he wrote.

Not as colourful or ornate as most other Mazu temples, but this one is a lot older and made mostly from wood. An icon in Magong city.

Always look up and at the details in the old temples. The craftsmanship is incredible. Great fish and sealife details of Penghu.

Local religion temple. The earliest one in Taiwan. It’s a sightseeing place tourist must come to.

The scenery is so stunning. If you are stay on the top of the tower, you can see great ocean and massive basalt. Besides, you can also hear waves hit on the rock sounds but I prefer the view. I think if I am in the bad mood then see this amazing view, I will feel better in the short time. There are several bench that you can sit and see these wonderful ocean view. So nice.

Nice rocky outcrop, especially for the fishermen. The sea was quite calm, despite strong winds, so the waves didn't make any drumming or whistling...!? Cave is small and not easily seen from the rocks. The water is really clean! The white towers are impressive and are just an observation platform.

Incredibly and unbelievably hot in the summer months. Be sure to bring a hat and sunscreen. The sun is really strong and it's common to get heat strokes if visiting during the day. Also, they're not really caves. It's more of a rocky spot with some small blowholes.

This place deserves a visit. You will have a very nice and unique view. You can walk on the rocks and feel the breeze of the ocean. It's a good spot to take some pictures. There is a minimarket nearby and toilets. Very peaceful and beautiful. The place is also very clean!

Beautiful place. It's actually water gushing in and out of rock which is circular and this makes sound. The view of sea is beautiful.

Lovely beach, soft sand and clear water. Small waves when we visited so great for kids to swin too, but no lifeguards! A 7-11 convenience store nearby for eats and drinks

The cleanest clearest water. Not the softest sand, but it’s nice when you’re trying to shake it off that it comes off pretty easily. There are also pergola that you can use for shade. There are also really close 711s which makes things convenient. We definitely wanna come back here. If I were to stay at a beachfront hotel, I would pick one here.

One of the best beaches I’ve ever been to. Very few foreign tourists and never that busy.

This is the most clean and beautiful beach of all the beaches I have been to in this month. The sand is white and delicate. The sea water is hilariously clean. Overall , the view here is excellent and it's worthy to spend the whole day here.

Beautiful beach and not many people. There is also a possibility to rent a surfing board, but you will need to walk a bit from the shop to the beach.

A wonderful clean beach. There’s no shops or restaurants on the beach, no chairs or umbrellas. It’s just a beach. ❥ You can find a convenience store nearby. It seems to get more visitors after 5pm when the sun isn’t so hot, which I would also recommend. Some jelly fish reported but I’ve not seen or experienced them.

The beach is beautiful and water is very clean. Come in late afternoon to enjoy the gorgeous sunset too. There is water to wash after swim.

A very pleasant and attractive local Village to wander down the small narrow streets and browse the drinks and food stalls and souvenir shops. Worth a visit. We went as part of the North tour.

I'm so sad to post about this, but all food is served in a plates covered with plastic bags, so environmentally not friendly... hopefully you can improve..

The boiled radish, fish ball and meat balls was really tasty ( rather pricy) I had the famous sticky rice in intestine ( tasted average) and sausages ( really tasty but every expensive as it was small and rather thin) It’s a small open stall on the side of the road, so it gets rather hot when you eat their on the summer. I didn’t enjoy the music that they were playing it was very loud and noisy. The owner was not particularly friendly.

What can I say? Wow! This place is a must visit if you like seafood and especially oysters. I tried the scallop over rice which was surprisingly good. Perfectly seasoned and a bit spicy. The "ua tsen" or oyster pancake, was the best so far I've tried in Taiwan. The steamed oysters were fresh and tasted great. The rest of the dishes were great as well. Paid a total of 580NTD of everything in the pictures.

Scallops rice is absolutely great to eat, The steamed oysters are fresh too. I’d recommend to buy the scallop source and make your scallops rice at home, highly recommend!

Small place, not bad for quick bite. Summer time this place might get busier. Opens at 11am. Food comes fast, just wondering if that's fresh at all? Dont eat too much here. There are many other places near by to try out. Good service. Follow this sequence: sit down, select your food, pay then enjoy!

We visited this restaurant for lunch and had a great meal. The place is simple, not luxurious, but the food speaks for itself. We ordered the crab congee, which was rich and flavourful, and tried other local specialities such as drunk chicken and shrimps pancake. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. Service was efficient, though communication in English was limited. The atmosphere is casual, with a focus on the food rather than decor. It’s the kind of place where locals come for a satisfying meal, and we could see why. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and the portions were generous. If you’re in Magong and want authentic, well-cooked dishes, this is a great option.

The dish cost around 180$ , fish was tiny. Owner was nice but food just soso. Won’t come again for sure.

The food was so so, you can tell the ingredients were fresh, but there wasn’t much that stood out in terms of cooking technique or flavour. The biggest issue, though, was the smell inside the restaurant. As soon as I walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant odour, similar to a toilet. It seemed to be coming from the restroom, which is located right by the entrance and had its door left wide open. I actually had to close it myself to try to stop the smell from spreading, and also asked the staff to keep it shut, as every time someone went in, the smell came right out into the dining area. 份量少，價錢高，口味普通，環境差。 時蔬、鳳螺、川燙蝦10隻、紅新娘8隻、一碗海菜狗母魚丸湯，五道菜共 $2200，可自行斟酌。

Excellent really fresh seafood, direct out of the sea. Really well and simply cooked.

Reservation is highly recommended for the weekend. They were packed! Sea food was fresh. We ordered the mood sized uni for about $15 USD. There were about 10 big pieces. Fried rice and fried oyster rolls were good too.

It’s a large restaurant with big tables, and small/medium portioned main dishes - catering mostly to big groups. Tough to choose from so many options and only 2 of us to eat! The owner lady was very kind and knew some English, and had an English menu as well. She suggested some yummy dishes. You can grab your own giant beer out of the fridge, or you can try some shots or a bottle of a huge selection of spirits, ranging from local rice wine to J.Walker Blue. The stir fried garlic prawns were amazing, and the shrimp and egg fried rice was so good I wanted 2nds and 3rds. Price was good, and atmosphere was very quiet (although I imagine it’s different when the place is packed with groups).

Good food, particularly the squid pancake is really nice. We had pen ftied big clams, which is really yummy! But still suggest the restaurant is for large group of people.

The food is high quality and tasty But, I've been there three times and have always been disappointed with the service. The portions are far too big and they won't let you share which leads to wasted food. The music is too loud and the lighting feels like a hospital.

Clean beach and water. Lovely wooden walkway along above the beach. Lots of water sport rides available. Looks like a brand new facility (restaurant?) been built - not yet open. Without a car or scooter, the bus stops are a fair walk. We walked from the airport as the Express buses more frequent.

Visited on November 2nd. The beach is beautiful but very windy — the sand was flying everywhere! It was peaceful and not crowded at all, only a few people around. Sadly, the coffee shop was closed that day.

This beach is… fine. A little hard for kids to swim since most of it is rocky where you’d enter the water and depth increases quickly as you walk out. We found one sandy party over where the jet skis were which was good enough for my 5yo to dip in and splash around a bit. Sun is so strong and so hot in June, bring shade + lots of sunscreen.

Conveniently located only a few minutes from the airport. There are outdoor shower facilities and changing rooms, so you can enjoy the beach, then rinse off & change before catching a flight. The sand & water are both nice, and it's one of the few beaches with shade tents available for rent (a must if you burn easily in the tropical sun). Unfortunately, there is a large collection of cigarette butts wedged into the umbrella support of the beach tables, which does make the area smell a bit like smoke. The beach is largely used for water sports, so there are people using jet skis, SUP, and small canoes. Make sure to watch out for those while swimming, as the operators are not always paying close attention.

One of Penghu's most beautiful, least spoilt beaches. Soft white sand, shallow and safe water for swimming or doing other water sports. There's a place to buy snacks and drinks, shelter from the sun and Poseidon water sports centre. Great for camping.

It is one of favorite beach in Peng-hu. Especially,the sand is so soft. If you have a time, you must visit this awesome spot and also not so much people there.

Quiet beach with small community nearby. Water is clean and clear. It's like a bay. We love coming here, even just for a walk.

The beach is quite beautiful, but this dog is the best. I think it belongs to someone who lives near the beach, but seriously, pet this dog. He is a 10/10 dog.

We really enjoyed this beach. The sand is comfortable under foot. The water is cool and easy swimming for our five-year-old. The are some services like umbrellas and tents. There are activities like water skiing and a self-powered surf board (I’m not sure what they are called) but not so much to make swimmers feel unsafe. There is a coffee shop. The only issue I have is paying for rinsing facilities that are not very useful.

Go to the ticket window to the right of the museum entrance to buy one or redeem a voucher (e.g., from Klook). Then you’ll have a physical ticket that the entrance staff will hole punch. I spent almost two hours here perusing the exhibits and learning about the history and culture of Penghu. The first floor is a series of interactive exhibits for kids and is only in Chinese, so I skipped over that. Floors two and three had a good portion of trilingual content (Chinese, English, and Japanese), but about half was only in Chinese. For unilingual items I was particularly curious about, I used Google Translate using my camera, which helped. I appreciated the creativity that Penghu residents have in making use of available materials to house, feed, and entertain themselves.

Come And visit on propose because of the famous siew yok 🤭. The ticket price is not cheap For tourist but free to local. TBH only the displays from the Taipei Palace catch my eyes while others displays i can tell they try very hard to demonstrate penghu culture... Good place to rest and enjoy the ac hiding from the sizzling weather in summer.

This museum was so educational and a perfect insight to the local culture and historical significance of the island. Very affordable and a great stop!

Good informative museum focussing on the history and development of Penghu. All the way from thousands of years ago, through many wars and occupations to the present day. Worth a visit and majority of exhibits have English translations. The people working there were helpful even though there was a language barrier.

Super windy place in Oct.

Overall it was a good experience…7 pm reso… total of 3 tables of customer on a Sunday night. 1. Every dish was great 2. Service could be better… seemed like the employees were new to food service. Couldn’t respond well to alcohol beer requests in terms of types, sizes. We ordered land chops and had to ask twice for set of cutlery ( knife and fork) in order to eat the food delivered to us. They were always nice and responded to our asks, we just felt to had to ask for more than we are used to for basics. 3. Validation of covid vaccination resulted in discount… woohoo! Overall, loved the food, portions, and compared to other places in Magong city, totally worth the price / portion/ quality of food. Spent $3050 NT for 4 adults 2 kids including wine, juice, and beers.

The servants are friendly and the food are all perfect.

This restaurant has an excellent cuisine. The food here is delicious and delicate.

Not sure what else I can add here, this is no doubt the top restaurant in Penghu. We tried few others and none is close enough, we had to come back to this one to make sure that life is good.

Show actually starts at 9 but come a bit earlier to check out a small night market nearby with food stalls. Their opening starts at 8pm. Find a good spot to get a nice view, the bridge side is usually packed. Definitely recommend picking days where the fireworks are happening to visit!

A few months late in posting this review but saw some old pictures from my last trip over here and just gotta say this was a beautiful picture spot to watch the fireworks go up in the sky! Get to the park nearby early so you can pick a good place to wait since it gets pretty crowded closer to when the fireworks starts. The bridge was really colorful at night, it lights up in rainbow colors! The fireworks were amazing and I definitely recommend planning your trip around the time they have this in the summer to see it! I'd totally go back just for this again even though getting to the island was a bit of a hassle, still so worth it!
