Aguada Fort, a 1612 Portuguese fortress, offers stunning ocean views and features an abandoned lighthouse built in 1864. Visitors can unwind with ayurvedic massages or partake in various yoga classes available in Goa. For the more adventurous, water sports and cookery classes are also on offer. The fort is a great spot to climb up for breathtaking sunset views. Sinquerim Beach, the first tourist beach of North Goa, is nearby and close to Aguada Fort.
Fort Aguada is Goa's largest and most well-preserved 17th-century Portuguese fort. It was strategically important, housing a massive freshwater reservoir that gave it the name 'Aguada' (watery). The fort complex features the historic, four-story Aguada Lighthouse, one of Asia's oldest. It offers visitors spectacular, panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi River mouth. It is an ideal destination for history enthusiasts and capturing breathtaking sunset photos.

Walk through a page of your history books while visiting this fort. Situated right next to the Arabian Sea, the Fort also houses a lighthouse and a viaduct. Although the Fort itself is small in size, it remains a significant visit while in North Goa. The ticket price is 25 INR and you can buy online tickets from Archaeological Survey of India website. If you are willing to buy tickets from the Fort itself, they charge the same in the ticket counter, but take only cash. Additionally, you can visit a lighthouse that is situated roughly 100m from the fort where you can go right to the top and enjoy amazing views of the sea. Parking is also available for scooters and cars alike.

Goa Forts are among the most beautiful historical attractions in the state, each offering a mix of heritage, scenic beauty, and ocean views. Visiting a fort in Goa — whether it’s Aguada Fort, Chapora Fort, or Reis Magos Fort — feels like stepping back in time while surrounded by the breathtaking Arabian Sea. The architecture reflects Portuguese influence, with strong walls, watchtowers, and wide open spaces that overlook the coastline. The sunset views from these forts are simply unforgettable — perfect for photography, relaxation, and feeling the cool sea breeze. Most forts are well-maintained, with clean surroundings and easy access. They give a glimpse of Goa’s rich history beyond the beaches and parties.

Aguada Fort is a historic, vintage fort uphill on Goa sea coast. It is different than other forts that you will see in remaining India. Over the time it has been a stunning beauty in White, depicting every bit of portugal architecture. This place is going to give you a different vibe of an tourist espace with ancient structure yet modern. It has got an amazing view of chilling blueish sea 💙 with magnanimous light house at the center of the fort & an open ground, to make your day a photo perfect day at this historic places. Make sure you dress casual, chic to get best travel poster pics of yours 📸 During public holidays you may have some difficult time to grab your favourite spot & click a picture.

We recently visited Fort Aguada, and it’s definitely one of those places that blends history, scenic beauty, and a calm seaside atmosphere all in one spot. The fort itself is over 400 years old, built by the Portuguese, and still stands strong overlooking the Arabian Sea. The view from the ramparts is absolutely stunning, especially around sunset — you can see the vast sea, nearby beaches, and the old lighthouse which adds to the charm. It’s a great spot for photography and quiet reflection away from the usual beach crowds. However, it’s worth knowing that the accessible area is smaller than you might expect, and there isn’t much in terms of exhibits or detailed historical displays — it’s more of an open structure with ruins and walls. Facilities like restrooms or food stalls are limited, so plan accordingly. Still, I really appreciated the peaceful vibe, panoramic views, and the historical aura of the place. It’s best enjoyed early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat and crowds. ⭐ Overall rating: 4/5 ✅ Best for: History lovers, photographers, and anyone who enjoys sea views ⚠️ Tip: Carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and visit around sunset for the best experience

We visited Fort Aguada — As per suggestions I and my wife arrived early (9am) and were the first one to entre the fort which felt like it was all for us. We took this opportunity to quickly click few memorable photos at the spot of our liking without anyone around. This is about 400-year-old Portuguese Fort that beautifully combines history, seaside charm, and scenic views. Overlooking the huge Arabian Sea, it offers stunning panoramas, especially at early morning and at sunset, with its old lighthouse adding to the allure. The Fort’s tranquil vibe and breathtaking views make it worth a visit. Best enjoyed early morning around 9-10am (At opening time) to beat the heat and crowds. Entry fee is ₹25/- Per Adult Person. Toilet are neat, clean and well maintained.

Aguada Fort, Goa – A Majestic Historical Gem by the Sea 🏰🌊 One of the most iconic and largest forts in Goa, Aguada Fort is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves history, ocean views, and old architecture. The fort offers a breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea and gives you a glimpse into Goa’s Portuguese past. 💡 Travel Tip: Before visiting, remember that entry is ticketed — but you can buy your ticket online by scanning the QR code near the ticket window. This saves you time and helps you avoid standing in long queues. Quick and convenient! The fort area is very large, so take your time to explore the walls, lighthouse, and sea-facing viewpoints. It’s a perfect place for photography, a peaceful walk, or simply soaking in the beauty of the coastline. Whether you’re a history lover or just want to enjoy a scenic spot with ocean views, Aguada Fort is definitely worth adding to your Goa itinerary!

Fort Aguda, 17th C Portugese fort constructed in 1612, on Sinquerim Beach, to guard against the Marathas and the Dutch. A freshwater spring of the fort, provided water to the ships which would stop by. Perhaps this was the reason of its name , since Aguda means Watery. The lighthouse was built in 1612 used to hold 79 cannons in one go. Other than a quiet relevant walk around the almost silent area, we neither could reach any entrances to the dungeon entry, nor any of the secret passages. Perhaps they were indeed 'Very well Hidden'. The feel of this high risen place was rather quiet peaceful. As an after thought I realized, that it could be due to its name, that it felt calm, cool and silent like some passive waters. Extremely Apt.

Sinquerim Beach is a picturesque destination known for swimming and water sports, conveniently located near resorts and close to the historic Aguada Fort. It's a popular spot for tourists, especially during the annual Sunburn Festival in December. Visitors can enjoy refreshing swims, partake in water sports activities, or indulge in delicious seafood at nearby restaurants. The beach offers a perfect backdrop for relaxation and fun with family and friends.
Sinquerim Beach is one of the most peaceful and clean beaches in North Goa. 🌊 The golden sand, calm waves, and less crowd make it perfect to relax and enjoy nature. Best part is the beautiful view near the Fort Aguada side, perfect for photos and chilling. 🏖️✨ Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and scenic beach experience.
Himanshu M — Google review
Sinquerium beach is located near the point where Fort Aquada was constructed in the 1600s. There are life guards on duty, but much of the area has strong waves with a powerful undertow making unsafe for swimming. Some people stand in waist deep water. We were there the first week of October, so towards the end of the rainy season. Workers were just starting to build restaurant areas for the season. They build them every year for the 6 month season of tourism. The heavy typhoon rains and sandy foundation do not permit them to keep the buildings up all year. We included some photos of the foundation, so that you can feel secure when you are dining there later. Near the lower Aguade fort, there are many spots for parking your motorbike. 500 meters down the road is a parking spot for taxis, busses and cars. There is a parking fee. We saw at least a dozen dogs running themselves, with the face pointed away from the sun. They were quiet, not barking or chasing people. Great place for watching the sunsets. Lots of benches and beach chairs available for rent so you are not sitting directly in the sand.

Candolim Beach is a popular destination in Goa known for its sandy shore, stunning sunset views, and exciting activities. Visitors can enjoy parasailing and indulge in delicious seafood and North Indian or Chinese dishes at Ryans Shack, which offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The beach is famous for its vibrant nightlife with beachside parties and dynamic clubs like SinQ Beach Club, Bar Eclipse, and Love Passion Karma (LPK).
Candolim Beach is one of the best beaches in Goa and I had a really good experience visiting here. The beach is clean, peaceful, and less crowded compared to some other popular beaches. The golden sand and calming waves make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy.

• Candolim Beach is truly beautiful & serene compared to the more crowded beaches of Goa. • With its golden-white sands & blue-green waters, it’s a perfect spot to relax, unwind & enjoy some fun beach activities. • The beach is clean, peaceful & offers a calm vibe away from the hustle & bustle.
Ketaki G — Google review
Very very very pretty beach. Loved it. Went at the sunrise time so it was not crowded. Great place to take beachy pictures. But I'll recommend to visit during sunset time to view the sunset. Overall it was a very good morning.
Christina A — Google review
Candolim beach sits right at the heart of North Goa. The beach itself is very clean and you can sit at the sunbeds under an umbrella and enjoy the sea with a drink in your hand. Several shacks are also available that come alive in the evening. It is quieter than Baga beach. So, if you are looking for a peaceful vibe but still want to enjoy the party atmosphere, Candolim beach is the right choice for you. Scooter parking takes 40 INR and there are plenty of shops and restaurants next to the beach where you can enjoy live music.
Tirthankar D — Google review
One of the most beautiful, golden sand and clean water beach of North Goa. Very peaceful, and less crowded . A favorite spot of people like me who want to spend good, fun time with family and friends. Relaxing vibes overall. Also you'll get tasty food with live music in beach shacks and restaurants around. The souvenir shops are also good for shopping. Awesome overall !! Will visit again.

It was great. Way better than chennai and it was a good family place where you can visit with your family. The watersports in the candolim are great except some scammers. The parking space is heavy and you can have either your car or bike parked in the paid parking safely.

It's a nice calm beach compared to the busy Baga and Calangute beaches. Lots of beach shacks and many tasteful restaurants. Overall an awesome place. I am seeing foam in beach now a days. Not sure what it means for the sea.

Immaculate Conception Church is a stunning Baroque-style Catholic church located in Panjim, Goa. Built in 1609, the church boasts a grand facade and sits atop a small hill. Surrounding the area are colorful old Portuguese architecture around Fontainhas that visitors can explore. Additionally, tourists can take a Waterfall, Plantation and Old Goa tour which includes a jeep safari through Mollen National Park to Dudhsagar Waterfall and visits to the churches of Old Goa.
• This church has beautiful, well-maintained architecture & offers a great view right in the heart of Panjim city. • As featured in many movies, it is an iconic place & definitely a must visit spot for sightseeing👍

I attended the mass on Sunday morning 8:15 am, a very quaint and quiet church amidst all the noisy tourist shuttling at the foot of the church. They conduct masses in English , Portuguese , mixed mass and even Marathi and Konkani. This structure still holds the history of the Portuguese invaders. There are multiple ways to getting to the church which i figured I wont tell here since tourists do tourist stuff! This church boasts friendly priests, short and sweet masses, and extremely kid friendly activities that the church is aiming to involve more. I pray this beautiful church continues holding its legacies for centuries to come.

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Goa Iconic white church in Panjim. Famous for its beautiful zigzag staircases and Portuguese Baroque architecture. It's the heart of the city and offers great sunset views. A stunning, must-see landmark.
Vinesh V — Google review
Visited this very famous church right in the heart of Panaji on 11/11/2025, couldn't go inside due to renovation work going on, just before last flight of stairway we were stopped by a lady informing us about renovation but offered us candle (₹25/- each) so we took two, lit it and came back down as photography is prohibited up here. People say It's beautiful during evening sunset time. If you are interested in some historical details then do continue reading. The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Goa, with its pristine white Baroque facade and grand zigzag staircase, symbolizes the Virgin Mary. Built in 1609 over an earlier 1541 chapel which was built for Portuguese sailors arriving in Goa, it houses the famed Augustinian Bell (The Second Largest in Goa) It was moved from the ruins of the Church of Our Lady of Grace in Old Goa in 1871. Its simple interior features altars to Mother Mary, Jesus’ Crucifixion, and Our Lady of the Rosary. A Goan cultural icon near Fontainhas, the church shines brightest during the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th. Cultural Significance: The church is a significant cultural symbol and has been featured in several Bollywood films due to its picturesque architecture and scenic location. The area around it is a hub of Goan culture and is close to the historic Fontainhas (Latin Quarter). Shouldn't miss if you visit Goa.

We visited Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in Panjim, and it was truly a beautiful experience. The white church stands gracefully on a hill, offering a stunning view of the city. The architecture is elegant, and the atmosphere inside is calm and peaceful — perfect for taking a moment to sit and pray. We also took a lot of great photos around the church, especially with its famous zigzag stairs and scenic backdrop. The place looks even more magical in the evening when it’s beautifully lit up. Overall, a must-visit landmark in Goa — peaceful, photogenic, and full of charm. ✨
Shubham S — Google review
Visited the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church during my trip to Panjim, and it’s definitely one of the must-visit spots in the city. The bright white church with its beautiful zig-zag staircase looks stunning, especially against the blue Goan sky — a perfect place for photos! You can’t go inside the church, but the exterior itself is worth the visit. Built in the early 1600s, it’s one of the oldest churches in Goa and was originally a small chapel for sailors arriving from Lisbon
Krishna V — Google review
It’s a good place to visit — you can come here early in the morning or around midnight when it’s less crowded. Due to certain restrictions, entry inside the church is not allowed, but you can still enjoy the beautiful view from outside.
Tarun N — Google review
A beautiful and well-maintained church in Goa- Our Lady of Immaculate Church (a favourite destination of Bollywood directos). However, it got closed at 12:30 pm. It is advisable to check the opening and closing time on Google before visiting the church. If late, you will have to take photos outside the premises and as 3 crowded streets meet at this point, it's not advisable to pose for the photos here. There are shops nearby where you may get jewellery, clothes, purses, magnetic show pieces, belts, etc. at a very reasonable rate.

Mall de Goa is a nice place to spend a few hours with almost all major brands under one roof. The only thing I felt was that even though the mall has many well-known stores, the collection in most of them is very Goa-specific. Good for tourists, but if you’re looking for more pan-India styles or regular everyday wear, the options feel a bit limited. Food court and parking are decent, and overall it’s a comfortable mall to visit. Just wish the stores stocked a wider variety of clothing choices. Also u don’t go to goa for shopping also Baga beach bazar is better

Nestled along the picturesque Candolim Beach, Bobby's Shack is a charming beachside eatery that captures the essence of local Goan cuisine. This beloved spot thrives during peak season, drawing in visitors with its mouthwatering seafood offerings, including popular dishes like fish curry and pomfret fry. What sets Bobby's Shack apart from other shacks in the area is not just its delectable menu but also its inviting atmosphere and options for vegetarian diners.
One of the best shacks at the Candolim Beach, you can find near the beach entrance as well. The service was amazing and the food was top notch we ended up ordering a lot of dishes and they all were amazing. Highly recommend everyone to try this shack if you dont wanna roam around much. The price is also very decent for the food and they don’t overcharge for the bar stuff as well.
R1TW1CK — Google review
While the view is nice, beach facing and pretty scenes, the rudeness of the service staff is applaudable. We were served extremely cold soup and when we pointed it out, he made a dirty face and said "it is so hot". Also after taking our order of breads after 30 minutes he returns saying we don't have that particular bread. The food is also average at best. The xacuti didn't feel unique at all and lacked flavour overall. Avoid.

Very nice venue to visit. The prices are not too expensive here and it has a nice relaxing feel, just being on the beach. The service was good here and wasn't rushed, so if you are in a relaxed mood - sit back, have a cocktail, and watch the the entertaining sights of the beach/jet skis and boats. Thank you for the service and enjoyable cocktails 😀

Bobby’s Shack has a really nice vibe and a great location right by the beach — perfect to chill. The place itself is good, but the pricing was on the higher side, especially for the kingfish compared to other shacks around Goa, but it was good size. Tried the prawns — they were decent, but the masala could’ve had a bit more punch. Still, not a bad spot overall if you’re looking to hang out by the beach.

I had the pleasure of having lunch at this charming restaurant with a warm, rustic ambiance that immediately made me feel relaxed and welcome. The decor struck the perfect balance between cozy and refined — a great setting for a leisurely meal. I tried a variety of dishes, starting with the red snapper fillet paired with cheese and wine, which was delicately prepared and flavorful without overpowering the natural taste of the fish. The roast beef tongue was a pleasant surprise — tender and well-seasoned, showing the kitchen's skill with less common cuts. The beef pepper steak rounded out the meal beautifully with its bold flavors and perfectly cooked meat. Overall, the food was thoughtfully presented and satisfying. Combined with the inviting atmosphere, it made for a memorable lunch. I’d definitely consider returning to explore more of the menu.

Loved the food and the service! A lovely old world charm about the place. We had the grilled lobster, hand cut fries, chocolate mousse and highly recommend all!

Went here in July 2025. A cozy place to be in, specially in the pleasant Goan monsoons. It’s basically a traditional Goan home converted to a restaurant/ pub with an antique yet warm feel to it. I loved the ambience. Specially the small verandah sitting areas. We had the Prawn rissois which were alright (less batter more filling would have been nice). The chicken lemon coriander soup was amazing, a clear soup with just the right amount of herbs and flavours, a strong start to the meal. The chicken cafreal served with stir fry veggies and fries was awesome, the cafreal flavour not very intense, yet very much satisfying, the chicken marinated and cooked perfectly. Can have bread/poi with this. The seafood spaghetti pasta however, was the star of the show. The prawns, squid and fish felt at place with the spaghetti which was lightly flavoured with seafood and olive oil. The flavours subtle, yet very much there. Truly a treat to the taste buds. This was a clear winner for me. We also had their chocolate banana shake which was nice as well. An afternoon well spent.

Visited for old times sake of a family member. It is a small eatery, with the old Goa vibes. The food options were very Portuguese Goan and tasted good. Laid-back, not crowded at all. Not many seen to be aware of this old gem. Whether it's true or not, the bar room has graffiti all over the wall, which some claim is from the hippy days.

Quintessential old Goa charm. Great service, great food, great ambience. Loved it all. A special shout out to Hedrich, Vishal and co, who whipped up a lip-smacking set of dishes. Oh, do try out their cocktails infused with local Goan pheni... Loved em all! Their Bibenka with ice-cream is the best I've had so far.

A typical Goan bar housed in a building which belongs to the Portuguese times. Got great heritage vibes. The bar has nice little cute balconies. The area very much feels like a Portuguese town..

The restaurant is known for its calm and serene environment, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date. It has been awarded the prestigious Italian "Ospitalita Italiana" quality seal, reflecting its high standards of Italian quality and hospitality.
Very underrated and unpopular place. One of the finest in Goa. Authentic Italian stuff. Loved their hummus, Veg Pizza and Veg Pasta. Everything tasted authentic and no bloatware. Cheese was super fresh and soft. Also the cocktails were awesome. Please do visit if in Candolim.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLACE! MUST TRY THEIR PIZZAS. The place is an absolute gem for eating out. I never had a better pizza than this place. Service was fast. Very spacious eating place. High quality and well-priced food. Quite elaborate menu. The entire atmosphere, chill vibe, peaceful environment. Will love to visit again.

The overall vibe was amazing with a really warm and friendly staff. The pizza was good (though we ended up ordering the wrong one), and the other items were delicious. Great variety on the menu with plenty of options for each dish. Definitely worth a visit!

This restaurant has a nice ambience, but is subjected to a lot of road noise and dust. A concrete mixer was churning right across the street, when we arrived for lunch and we opted to sit inside, which is a bit dark and dimly lit. Our waiter did his job, but was unenthusiastic, didn’t smile and when we walked in, he just stared at us. We had to ask him if they were open. I had to point out the vegan item he missed on the menu. Though it came quickly, the food was not seasoned well and lacked balance in flavor. Portions are very small. We asked for additional rocket and chili oil so we could season the food ourselves. It’s nice that they have a four vegan options on their menu including a decent sized vegan margarita pizza. We added mushrooms to it and it was thin and crispy. The sauce base could be better. As one of the only Italian places in the area with an extensive menu, there’s lots of potential.

We had a wonderful time today, visiting this place was a great experience, and the dinner was absolutely delightful. The pasta with pink sauce was delicious, but the highlight of the evening was definitely the tiramisu cake — we loved it! Thank you:)

Amazing taste!! Their whole menu is reasonable and the food does absolute justice. It’s cozy inside, and it was pouring when we were about to leave, just sat and soaked in the vibes. Do try their Italian Pina Colada, not so thick but the coconut cream they used was so rich and flavourful. Also their Tiramisu is reasonable and very tasty. Definitely visiting again.

The food was absolutely incredible, and the service was exceptional. Our server was Nikhil and he was very good. Overall, a beautifully understated setting with outstanding food and service.

Myself and my husband returned here this year after finding this golden place last year. I can positively say we were not disappointed. We would go as far to say that this is our favourite restaurant in the world. We were utterly impressed with every single thing during our dining experience. The staff are amazing and so attentive. Nothing is ever too much of an ask for them. Their food is absolutely delicious. The value for money here is next to none. We are here in Goa for one week and whilst visiting on our second night we have already booked to visit again on our last and final night. Ending our holiday with a high as we know it at Amavi. We would recommend this restaurant to anybody who we knew were visiting north Goa. Well done to all staff who work at Amavi by Sumera.

Our whole experience here was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so welcoming and kind. The staff were incredibly patient while answering all our (many) questions about the menu and were always right there when we needed something without ever hovering. The food was absolutely delicious — you can really tell it’s made with care and fresh ingredients. Every dish that came out was even better than the last. The owner came by to check on us, which was such a sweet and personal touch. You could tell she genuinely cared that we were happy and enjoying everything. It’s rare to find a place where both the service and food are this consistently great, but this restaurant nails it. We left so full and happy, already talking about when we’ll be back. Easily a five-star experience all around.

Amavi is a wonderful place to dine, especially for their delicious chicken dishes. Our family loves the mushroom soup, my brother’s favorite is the Goan Chorize Stuffed Chicken Breast and my dad enjoys the Anise & Ginger Chicken Breast. I loved the pasta - they customized it perfectly to my taste keeping in mind I am lactose intolerant. The ambience is great and the staff is attentive, ensuring quick service. The only suggestion would be to improve the parking, as it can be a bit tricky at times.

Wow, an amazing restaurant. The food is exceptional. The staff so friendly, courteous and kind. I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I have EVER eaten in. We will return many times on this holiday and on future trips to Goa. As an update we have returned again tonight. We asked for a dish of cauliflower cheese to complement our steak which the chef accommodated. This is an honest review of a fantastic first class restaurant. Thank you Amavi by Sumera. Day 2

Center of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Britto’s Restaurant at Baga Beach – Iconic Seafood & Cocktail Bar Since 1965, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Souza Lobo - Since 1932. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Britto's Restaurant & Bar is a popular family-friendly eatery that has been dishing out traditional Goan dishes for years. With multiple branches in Goa, Britto's is celebrated for its delectable Goan fare, fresh seafood, and creative cocktails. The Baga outlet is particularly renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and quick service, making it a favorite among both tourists and locals.
Honestly its my second time going to this place. It’s pricey now but the food is sooooo good. Lobster 110/10, golden king prawns 10/10 , mousse pastry 111/10 . We even ordered the virgin mojito and refreshing orange drink with chia seeds it was very good. Drool worthy food with a very scenic view of the Baga Beach . Loved the whole experience!

We were very hungry after a long day on the road in Goa, and we heard of this place being good for seafood and offering vegetarian meals. It was placed on a beach, which was a tourist attraction, but was slightly dirtier than other beaches I’ve visited. The seafood, especially the Goan fish curry and the seafood pasta, was delicious, definitely worth a try. The mushroom pasta and other vegetarian dishes were great. If I had one specific critique, it was that the seating area was a bit too sandy.

Lovely place by the Baga beach with all the hustle buslte!! Cool interior and lots of space 😎 Food is good 👍🏻 Coffee is served in cups and tea is served in mugs! The service was prompt and the servers were able to explain the contents clearly. Washrooms are available however parking can be an issue as the road is narrow and one will have to park on the common beach parking. Using Wheelchair can be a bit tricky as the floor is all sand.

Britto's Restaurant is located at Baga Beach is one of the oldest shack with amazing food and great service and atmosphere. There is no special parking for the restaurant, so you will need to use the Pay & Park service at the Baga Beach. Fish Finger: decent quantity, good taste Baked Crabs: served with french fries and sprouts and corn salad - good for seafood lovers.

🦀 Britto's, Baga Beach: The Quintessential Goan Shack Experience Britto’s is an iconic establishment on Baga Beach, delivering the quintessential Goan shack experience with a side of legendary seafood. Located right on the sands, it offers a vibrant, lively atmosphere where you can dine with your feet literally in the sand or enjoy a sunset view from a spacious table. The main draw is the fresh seafood. A must-try is their famous Seafood Platter, loaded with the catch of the day, or the Stuffed Crab, a rich and flavorful Goan classic. Their menu is vast, extending beyond Goan cuisine to Continental and North Indian, but the local seafood dishes and meat items like Pork Vindaloo are the true stars. Despite being perpetually crowded—a testament to its popularity—the atmosphere is genial, often featuring live music or karaoke in the evenings, adding to the festive beach vibe. While service can occasionally be slow during peak season, the combination of excellent, authentic Goan food and the incredible beachfront setting makes Britto's a mandatory stop on any North Goa itinerary. Would you like to know the approximate cost for two people at Britto's, or are you interested in a similar review for another iconic Goan restaurant, like Martin's Corner?

Food is simply amazing here. The staff is very polite and courteous. The view of the Baga Beach is very nice. Nice music and not too loud. We tried Fish Fingers, Pork Chilli Fry & Tiger Prawns Platter which was recommended by the Server which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Pull me Up Cake here is a must try and highly recommended as well. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Goa.

Anjuna Beach, located in North Goa, is a popular destination known for its stunning natural beauty and white sandy shores. It offers a range of activities such as parasailing, jet skiing, banana boat rentals, bungee jumping from an 80-foot tower, paragliding, and windsurfing. The beach is famous for its full moon beach parties during New Year and Christmas and attracts both domestic and foreign tourists.

Great beach to enjoy a peaceful evening and stunning sunset views. The waves come very close to the shore, which makes it scenic but not very safe for swimming. Best time to visit is during pleasant weather, as it’s not recommended in the monsoon due to strong tides. Perfect for sunset photography, relaxing walks, and soaking in the coastal vibes.
Hardik V — Google review
I recently visited this beach with the hope of enjoying a relaxing day by the sea, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite disappointing for several reasons. The beach feels extremely congested. The number of shacks, restaurants, and bars set up right along the shoreline leaves very little open space to actually enjoy the beach or its views. There's hardly any breathing room, and it’s difficult to find a peaceful spot to sit and relax. It seems like every inch of the beach is commercialized, which seriously takes away from the natural charm and openness you'd typically expect at a beach. Another downside was the constant pestering from locals trying to sell water sports activities. While it's understandable that water sports are a part of the beach economy, it becomes frustrating when you’re approached every few minutes, even after politely declining. It really disrupts the peace and makes it hard to enjoy your time. Most of the restaurants and beach shacks are quite overpriced, especially for the quality and portion size offered. Even basic refreshments or snacks are charged at premium rates, which seems to be targeting tourists rather than offering fair value. If you're planning to spend a day here, be prepared for high prices without necessarily getting a premium experience.

I went to Anjuna beach early morning and evening. I would say if you need less crowd and play in water it’s better to go in the early morning around 6.30Am and If you need good music and enjoy drinks then go in the evening!

Is a solid choice for a quick, fun family outing. We spent about 60 to 90 minutes here, which was the perfect amount of time. Fun with Kids: Highly engaging and a hit with the children. Pricing: The ₹600 combo ticket offers good value for seeing both attractions. Wax Museum: The wax statues are well-made and impressive. 9D Cinema: A fun, immersive experience, but be aware it's very short (approx. 5-7 minutes). Fish Aquarium: A unique highlight! Loved seeing the diverse collection of rare fishes imported from different countries. Overall, a good destination to visit for an hour or so of entertainment.

Seafood restaurant
Fat Fish is a popular, modern restaurant in Goa that offers a unique blend of Goan seafood dishes, thalis, and tandoori fare. The restaurant was founded in 2012 by fashion designer Pooja Sarin and restaurateur Prashant Korgaonkar with the aim of providing authentic Goan seafood delicacies and fusion foods under one roof. The menu features signature dishes like Stuffed Crab, Masala Shark Fly, and Mughlai offerings.
While on our way to Anjuna beach from Candolim, we came accross this place that one cannot miss. A large parking area and hoardings starting from quite a distance, we stepped in to enquire if they serve crabs and lobster. Visited them finally for dinner and so glad we made it here. Lively ambience and welcoming staff, we chose our lobster. The chef was kind enough to incorporate our taste and how my son wanted it to be presented. Cooked to perfection, the tawa masala lobster was just like we wanted to have our meat. Spicy but not overpowering the flavours of the meat. The butter garlic shark we ordered was another winner. A scrumptious dish along with their cocktails was a great dinner. Thumbs up to the cocktail too. We ordered bebinca(not in house ) with ice cream for dessert. The music added to the charm of the evening. The place has managed to maintain its legacy( As told to us by the manager, the place is 50 years old). The old and original place still remains up and running while the new extension ( with much more opulence) bowled us over with its food, service and ambience. A must visit place for sea food lovers. Worth the buck spent.

Absolutely loved the experience at Fat Fish Goa! 🐟 The food was outstanding especially the Fish Thali, it’s one of the best I’ve had in Goa. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The ambience has a true Goan vibe, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Totally worth the little walk to reach here — it’s a hidden gem for seafood lovers! 💙 Highly recommend: Fish Thali, Crab Curry, and Prawns Masala!

One of the best restaurants in North Goa to enjoy the authentic Goan thali. After having some disappointing food experiences in Goa we visited this place with so much hope and it was worth dining here. We had to wait for around 10 to 15 minutes to get the table. We ordered Tawa chicken fry, Garlic butter prawns and Fish thali and everything turned out amazingly tasty. Tawa chicken fry was spicy as required with the perfect crunch, and prawns were cooked perfectly but they were not that hot till they reached my table and Fish thali was heavenly. From fish fry to every other curry everything was soulful and truly satisfying my tummy and soul. Definitely, it's highly recommended and worth the hype. Service can be improved as it was very slow.

My all-time favourite spot in Goa! I’ve never missed eating here on any of my trips. The food is absolutely delicious — the Goan fish thali is authentic and a must-try. Crabs, fish, mussels, and prawns are all fresh and perfectly cooked. You can choose your sauce — my favourites are the butter garlic and lemon butter garlic preparations. The crab sukka is simply yumm, and don’t miss the apple pie with ice cream 👌. To go with it, I usually pick a No.7 wine, a draught beer, or their own Fat Fish Wit beer. It gets quite crowded on weekends, so reach early. Fish thalis are limited, so if you want one, make sure to be there before 2 PM!

This place is particularly famous fpr its breakfast but we decided to give it a try for dinner. The food and service was good. On live music days it must be getting very loud to have an conversation which was not the case during our visit.

We ordered chicken cafreal, pork roast, and ros omlette. Chicken cafreal was good. The pork roast was ok. The pork tasted a bit strong, but we haven't had pork in India before, so maybe that's how it tastes here. Ros omlette was really good too, but I didn't see any chicken in ros omlette. I have had chicken in the ros every time I have had it before. The poiee was soft, fresh and fluffy. The food was better than some of the other places we have tried. The server - Ranjan was very attentive and we had a good service. I would rate the service 5/5 because I have noticed that the servers in most goan restaurants are indifferent to the customers and don't bother paying attention until called.

We chose this place seeing the high ratings on Google, but after visiting, I understood how they got them. They offer discounts or free items if you like their page/share on Instagram. That’s their hack. Now about the food, I’m a big foodie, and so is my family. We try local cuisines everywhere we go. But here, apart from one item, everything was a disaster. • Cinnamon roll: Only saving grace. Soft, fresh, and very good. • Hot chocolate: The hot chocolate we actually ordered was served cold, not even lukewarm. When I asked them to make it hot, they microwaved it, and the glass came back too hot to even hold. • Water: We first asked for water, and they brought mineral water. When we said we don’t want bottled, just regular water, the elderly staff member who was taking order, frowned, raised his eyebrows, and in a rude tone asked, “So you want tap water?” Never in our lives has anyone asked like this when we requested regular drinking water in a restaurant. I said, I don’t know what you mean by that but we need regular drinking water. He later brought two glasses and placed them on the table with a loud thud. • Grilled chicken burger: The chicken patty was thinner than the cucumber slice inside. Tasteless, had to sprinkle salt just to eat it. Attcahed is the pic. • Goan fish curry combo: Curry was okay, but the fried fish had zero salt. Absolutely bland. On top of this, there’s no ambience at all. Very hot, because it’s in open space, looked like parking area converted to restaurant. Except for the cinnamon roll, the food was pathetic. Everything lacked taste and quality. If you genuinely love food, please don’t waste your time or money here. The ratings are misleading, they are built on freebies for Instagram tags, not real food quality.

Café Infantaria is a must-visit spot in Goa! The food is amazing, and their bakery items are truly fresh and delicious. The place carries an authentic Goan vibe, making it perfect for both a hearty breakfast or a relaxed evening bite. Definitely worth trying if you want good food with a local touch.

Loved the burger, with fresh bread, great service, a bit pricy place but good quality food. This place has been here for the last 30+ years, run by a Goan and maintained the quality of food. Would definitely go here again. Better to find a parking nearby and walk to this place.

Restaurant
Established in 1932, Souza Lobo is a renowned beachfront restaurant located in Calangute, Goa. It has gained legendary status for its delectable seafood and Goan dishes. The restaurant offers a mix of old and new favorites, showcasing the region's authentic cuisine. With a beachfront patio, guests can savor dishes like tandoor kingfish, crab-stuffed papad, grilled lobster, and tiger prawns while enjoying the picturesque view.
They have their own wheat beer which is great. Authentic Goan, porky food with made to order breads. Fresh fish. Fast service with a nice view and things are very cheap. Highly recommend.

Went here for an official evening out yesyersay night. The restaurant has a great beachfront location—peaceful, though a little away from the main shacks. Food was awesome and the service was equally good, really lived up to the reputation. The only downside was that Tuesday night felt a bit dull with no live music. Adding some entertainment would definitely enhance the vibe and make evenings more lively. Overall, a lovely place for good food, great service, and a nice seaside experience.

The food was just too delicious! We had pork ribs (delicious and properly cooked), chicken cafreal skewers (very good), grilled chicken (chicken was good but mashed potatoes could have been better), prawns and chonak curry with buns and rice. In drinks we had kaju feni with limca it was perfect and whiskey sour with egg (just right) In sweet we had sera dura (delicious and tandout), bebinca (2 of us liked, other found just okay), caramel custard (just right) But the highlight we recommend is CRAB RECHADO….. damn that gravy or masala is to die for. Highly recommended . Just one thing crabs could have been bigger in size and more fresh. But no complaints because of that gravy🤤. Even the gravy of pork ribs were just too delicious. The restaurant they have kept it proper aesthetic. The beach view with karaoke at evening enhances the experience even further. I am definitely visiting again. Excellent restaurant!

Souza Lobo is truly an iconic restaurant in Goa, known for its authentic coastal flavors and unbeatable beachside charm. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the history and reputation of this legendary spot — it’s relaxed, vibrant, and full of Goan character. 🌴 The food here is exceptional, but the oysters in butter garlic sauce are absolutely a must-try. They’re fresh, perfectly cooked, and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that makes every bite unforgettable. Beyond the oysters, their seafood selection is consistently top-notch, with traditional Goan flavors done right. The service is friendly and attentive, the location right on the beach adds to the whole experience, and the overall vibe is perfect for a leisurely, hearty Goan meal. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, Souza Lobo is one of those places you just can’t miss in Goa. 🦪✨

Visited for dinner, after seeing the reviews. And was not disappointed at all. Good food and good ambience. Their craft beer too is good. Some idiotic shacks were playing music at very high volume which was disturbing. Toilets etc are clean. Butter garlic lobster should have been more juicy. Everything else was tasty.

Went here on 29th apr😅 just wanted to try so ordered prawns crispy chilli, roti & choclate mousse.it was 970 something including tax.prawns pieces were around 6-7/8 I'm not sure. But the taste m not lying 🤤🤤i still can feel it on my palate 🤩so people who like spicy food with spices it's a must try. Very calm and cozy view. If you go upstairs they have seating arrangements but we preferred to seat outside.washroom were upstairs which was clean.i think it was bit pricy🥲 but the taste was 9/10.

Walking into Souza Lobo after almost 6–7 years felt like stepping into a time capsule — back to the Calangute I remember from the early 2000s. The vibe is still the same — a beautiful mix of locals, foreigners, and a few Indian tourists, all soaking in that easygoing Goan beach energy and a bit of loud music from the shacks outside. It honestly felt so good to see that Souza Lobo still holds its soul. The restaurant hasn’t changed much — the charm, the sea breeze, the familiar buzz — but it’s lovely to see the next generation taking it forward. The daughter now runs the place and has beautifully revamped the menu while keeping the essence alive. Seafood remains the heart of Souza Lobo — and rightly so. There’s even proper parking now — plenty for two-wheelers right at the restaurant and a few four-wheelers too — something you rarely find around Calangute these days! The staff were their usual amazing selves — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. You can tell they take pride in what they do and always watching out for you. And the food… just wow. The beer-battered calamari was perfectly crisp, the fish fingers were spot-on, and the sausage pulao took me straight back to childhood Sundays home cooked food. Souza Lobo isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a piece of Goan history. To all the locals who’ve spent evenings here in the old days, do yourself a favour — go back, relive those memories, and support this iconic place that still carries the true Goan spirit in every plate served. ❤️🌊

I recently visited Suza Lobo in Goa, a restaurant that’s been on my list for a long time, and it was a delightful experience. Located near Calangute Beach, the place has a very laid-back and authentic Goan vibe. The open-air seating with beachside views creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a relaxed meal with family or friends. The highlight, of course, is the food. Suza Lobo is known for its Goan and seafood specialties, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I tried their prawn curry with rice, crab xacuti, and rava fried fish – each dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared in traditional Goan style. The spices were well-balanced, and the seafood tasted incredibly fresh. For those who prefer vegetarian options, they also have a decent variety. The service was quick and friendly. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they were happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences. Prices are quite reasonable considering the location and quality of food, making it a great value for money experience. The evenings here are even more enjoyable with live music, which adds to the charm and makes the place feel lively yet cozy. It’s a wonderful spot to unwind after a day at the beach. Overall, Suza Lobo is a must-visit if you’re in North Goa. Whether you’re craving authentic Goan cuisine or just want a relaxed evening with good food and music, this restaurant won’t disappoint. Highly recommended!

Chocolate cafe
If you find yourself in Calangute, The Chocolate Room is a delightful haven for coffee and chocolate lovers alike. This charming café offers an array of delectable treats, including their signature cold coffee that leans towards the sweeter side—perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The atmosphere is serene and cozy, making it an ideal escape from the bustling beach scene. Guests rave about the rich flavors of their hot chocolate and various chocotails, alongside scrumptious desserts like the chocolate truffle cake.
Loved the variety of chocolates. Chocolate truffle cake is so delicious. The best one is hot chocolate they serve. Ambience is too good n calm, you can enjoy your drink or your food with your loved once. Staff is very good n treats very well. A place I would like to visit again n again

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this place is a must-visit in Goa. We tried the chocolate waffle with ice cream, and every bite was pure delight—rich, indulgent, and perfectly made. The whole experience was fantastic, and I’m already looking forward to going back. Solid 5/5 stars from me!

Since last 3 days was on search for a amazing coffee and some good chocolates. And finally my search ended here at The Chocolate Room, Calangute. Enjoyed a great black coffee and delicious Chocolate. And my friend enjoyed a cappuccino. The service and staff both are really nice. Must visit.

Does not live upto the brand name of Chocolate room. The chocolate seems like synthetic flavour and not an authentic chocolate flavour. We had chocolate brownie which was stale and they replaced it however it lacked taste. The hot chocolate is not very great. Better to skip this place!

We visited this place for dessert after dinner. We tried the Sundae which was very good. It was a true paradise for a chocolate lover. The presentation of the desert too was very nice. What surprised me about the place is that they do not accept credit cards. For a place of this grade it's really not acceptable to not have arrangements to accept payments through credit cards.
Stephen F — Google review
Food is good but the walls and ceiling are filthy with mould and rot. This place needs to be shut down and renovated. It’s a health hazard. I had a chocolate cake that I didn’t finish and asked them to parcel it. They wrapped it up for me while I paid, but they didn’t give it to me. I got busy with a phone call and sat there for another 5 minutes while the 2 guys stared at me. When I was leaving I forgot the cake but I said thank you to them and neither one of them reminded me to take my cake. I parked in front of the store and was there for a few more minutes and neither of them had the courtesy to bring it to me. Of course it’s my fault that I forgot, but what’s wrong with these guys that they couldn’t do their job and give it to me? Did they think that was funny? Instead they stood there and stared at me the whole time.

☕️ GREAT CAFE IN GOA.. 😋 We had Smoking Brownie , coffee frappe anf Iced Mocha. Taste and quantity is soo good. We were not expecting that. Taste was yummmmm... Atmosphere is soo quite and comfy. Perfect place to take rest from beach noice and crowd. Rates are minimal. It costed around 750₹ for us. Just cafe is slightly warm.

Well ! Yummy tasty and with lots of options! We went there specially for deserts around 12 am midnight and I had no clue that I’ll be getting confused what to order by looking at so many tempting options they have it. I’m sure all the deserts must be yummy the way they have given description about each deserts and dish at the bottom. Ambience is good, family and young crowd, service is good and offcourse I had the yummiest desert. Will surely visit again to try out new deserts. Best part is this Place is open till 2 am! So enjoy!

Chill place that's been around forever. I've been going here since my college days. Try their prawns rachedo it's incredible. Golden fry calamari isn't bad either. They usually have some or the other karaoke scene going on if that's your jam. Alcohol is decently priced. Vibe is nice, you can chill on the beach and just enjoy your beer, they screen matches and stuff. The music from the shacks around is a little annoying but it's manageable either way.

Disappointed Experience at St. Antony’s Beach Shack, Baga I’ve been visiting St. Antony’s Beach Shack for years — probably more than 10 times — and always loved its vibe, music, and food. But this visit was truly disappointing. We were a large group of 14 couples who came to enjoy a lively evening with karaoke, but the person handling the karaoke setup was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. Even though the manager did apologize, the experience left a bad taste and spoiled the mood for everyone. Hospitality and positive vibes are what Goa is all about — unfortunately, that spirit was missing this time. Hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures guests are treated with respect.

Went to this place for Dinner Date and we sit on a Beach side sitting. Sound was loud inside the bar so we preferred to sit outside. Most of the outside tables were occupied by the other customers and crowd was good. We started with 2 cocktails and a starter. One was Long Island Iced Tea and the other one was Planters Punch. LIIT was Okaish but Punch was good. We also ordered one veg starter and a seafood starter. Veg was Hara Paneer Tikka and Seafood was Chonak Masala Fry. Hara Paneer tikka was really good, flavourful and freshly prepared served along with Chutney and onion masala rings. First time tried Chonak fish in Goa was prepared in a red tangy masala which was so different and unique. I didn't like the taste atall but somehow managed to finish the fish. Their service was good but they should have to improve the food quality as per they were charging. There was one body massage guy came around our table and asking about foot massage. As my feets were paining I negotiated with him and he started giving me foot massage which was so relaxing for me and I really enjoyed that massage. Overall experience was okey as they are over priced and should improve their food quality.

St. Anthony Beach felt like one of Goa’s best-kept secrets — soft sands, calm waves, and just enough life to feel alive without the crowd. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, with local music echoing faintly in the air, was pure magic. 🌅🎶

I visited an outlet in Goa called St. Anthony’s, where the server, Neeraj, provided a completely disappointing experience. Despite the bar being empty, the staff seemed too busy to pay attention, and no one was listening at all. I can now understand why Goa's hospitality is declining. Overall, a very disappointing visit.

Cafe Sussegado is a charming spot located in a little yellow Portuguese house just south of the Calangute market area. The cafe offers a relaxed atmosphere with rustic decor and serves traditional Goan specialties and cocktails. It's popular among both locals and tourists, known for its authentic Goan-Portuguese house setting complete with a balcao. The menu features dishes like fish curry rice, chicken xacuti, pork sorpotel, and feni (Goan liquor).
Amazing Goan food and vibes! The food here is super fresh and served in a lovely rustic setting that adds to the charm. Everything was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures. Their classic goan and fusion desserts are also a must-try.

I had a wonderful experience at Sussegado Restaurant. We tried the Cheese Balls, Mushroom Bardez with Parota, Prawns Cafreal with Poe, and the refreshing Mango Bloom Mojito. Every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared, but the highlight for me was the Prawns Cafreal—the prawns were cooked to perfection with no unwanted smell and a rich, authentic taste. The service was equally impressive. Mr. Katu, Mr. Arif (the manager), and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Sussegado is a must-visit for anyone who wants delicious Goan food with warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Fortress
Historical landmark
Chapora Fort, a centuries-old fortress perched on a headland, offers stunning sunset views over the sea. Visitors can unwind with ayurvedic massages and yoga classes in Goa, known for attracting people from around the world for yoga retreats. For those seeking adventure, water sports and cookery classes are available. The fort, also known as the town of Shah Chapora Fort, was constructed during Portuguese rule in the 17th century and features underground tunnels.
Chapora Fort – A Must-Visit Sunset Spot in Goa Chapora Fort is best places to visit in Goa. Perched atop a scenic hill, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the beach and the vast ocean below. Whether you’re a nature lover or just looking to unwind, this spot delivers pure magic. We reached in time to catch the sunset, and it was absolutely stunning—the sky painted in warm hues, the waves shimmering below, and the cool breeze wrapping it all together. It’s the kind of view that stays with you. Do note: the fort closes by 5 PM, so plan your visit accordingly to soak in the sunset from the top. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Goa’s natural beauty from a peaceful, elevated viewpoint.

Great fort with very less people. There is not much to see in the terms of the fort in my opinion, but the view is really amazing. It's one of the highest places that can be easily climbed through a few flights of stairs. Nothing much to do other than just look around
Samarth N — Google review
The coastal defence planning, particularly at an estuary (a place where a river enters the sea) from the 14th to 15th century onwards, called for the construction of a fort. Such a fort not only offered protection to the coastal areas, but more importantly, it also insulated inland areas from enemy attacks by denying the enemy inland entry through the river. Based on the same doctrine, Chapora Fort is strategically located on a high hill feature on the southern bank of the Chapora estuary. Fort has an all-around clear view from its commanding height. The complete hillside and the fort are surrounded by lush greenery and look beautiful. The view from the fort is simply amazing. For the fort, full marks for its scenic beauty and the amazing 360-degree view it offers of the surroundings. What is wrong is the neglect by the civic authorities. Signage giving direction to the fort and to the parking areas is woefully inadequate. Parking areas need better management. At the fort itself, the Signage, the information boards are totally faded and can not be read. Fort also needs to be provided with strategically located small gazebo-like shelters where visitors can relax in the shade or be protected from the rain.
PM V — Google review
Ruins of the fort, calm and beautiful with a great view of the ocean. It can be maintained and cledned a bit more properly. Rest it is all famous for that dil chahta hai pose where that picture can be clicked. Overall a good place to hang out and chill in calmness and silence. Have a very small hike of 5 mins and you're there.

Beautiful place with a picturesque view of a Arabian Sea. This beach is hardly 2 kms from Chapora Fort. You have to walk uphill to this fort but in the way various small juice shops having chairs are there where you can rest and go. Paid parking available. Prices at the shops here are more or less same as other street shops in Goa. After parking your vehicle, drink one coconut water and then proceed for the fort climb as it really gives you energy.
Shalini P — Google review
Chapora Fort offers a decent viewpoint after a short climb of around 50–70 steps. The view from the top is quite scenic, especially if you enjoy nature and open landscapes. However, the condition of the fort itself is very poor. Most of the walls are either collapsed or in ruins, and there’s been almost no maintenance, which is disappointing for such a historic site. A helpful tip: carry a water bottle with you. The climb, though not very long, can be tiring, especially in the heat. Staying hydrated is important. Despite the lack of upkeep at the fort, our visit was made special by a lovely local lady (Aai). She was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She offered us freshly made limbu pani (lemonade) and genuinely asked about our well-being. It was a heartwarming moment and the highlight of our visit. If you’re visiting Chapora Fort, don’t miss stopping by Aai’s small refreshment stall. It’s a simple but memorable experience that adds a touch of local warmth to the trip.

Perched commandingly on a headland overlooking the confluence of the Chapora River and the Arabian Sea, Chapora Fort offers visitors far more than just historical ruins, it delivers one of North Goa's most spectacular panoramic vistas and a palpable connection to popular culture. Known locally as the "Dil Chahta Hai Fort" after the iconic Bollywood film scene shot here, the structure itself is a powerful testament to Goa's tumultuous history. Originally a military outpost called "Shahapura" built by the Bijapur Sultanate, the fort was rebuilt and strengthened by the Portuguese in 1617 using durable red laterite stone (visible in the uploaded images). This strategic position, with steep slopes on all sides, made it a vital northern defense point against various invaders, including the Marathas. Though abandoned since 1892, the remaining walls, like the weathered archway captured in the image, retain their powerful presence. Walking across the irregular outer ramparts, which follow the contours of the hill, is an experience in itself, allowing you to trace the defensive lines once manned by soldiers. Little remains of the barracks or the church of St. Anthony that once stood inside, giving the fort a wild, open, and atmospheric feel, dotted with brush and patches of grass. The real draw of Chapora Fort is the incredible 360-degree viewpoint. From the bastions, you are treated to a stunning coastal landscape: To the South: The sprawling sands and palm groves of Vagator Beach and Ozran Beach. To the North: The vast, tranquil expanse of the Chapora River meeting the sea, with the pristine Morjim Beach beyond in the Pernem region. To the West: The limitless Arabian Sea, providing the perfect backdrop for dramatic photographs. The climb up to the fort is a short but somewhat steep trek over rocky and uneven paths. It's essential to wear comfortable, non-slip footwear (avoiding flip-flops or heels) and carry water, as vendors are scarce once you are on the fort ruins. The undisputed best time to visit is during the late afternoon, specifically to catch the sunset. As the sun dips into the Arabian Sea, it casts a golden light over the laterite walls and paints the sky in vibrant shades of orange and purple. This serene moment is when the atmosphere is most magical and the photographic opportunities are truly limitless. In summary, Chapora Fort is a must visit in North Goa. It offers a perfect blend of historical intrigue, breathtaking scenery, and a dose of cinematic nostalgia, making the short, challenging climb absolutely worthwhile.
Rizwan U — Google review
I visited Chapora Fort with two other friends, just like in the film, and it was a memorable experience! The key thing to note is that there is no fort now, only ruins are there. What remains are the strong, laterite walls and a large open space on the hill top. The journey up requires you to climb the steps to reach the ruins of the fort. The real attraction that makes the visit worthwhile is the sea view—it is absolutely stunning. You get a clear, panoramic vista overlooking Vagator and Morjim beaches and the entire Chapora River estuary meeting the Arabian Sea. I highly recommend visiting in the evening so you can watch the sunset as well. If you can watch it, it will be a wonderful experience and absolutely worth visiting. There are small shops at the base that offer water and other refreshment drinks, but, like every other tourist place, they felt a little bit overpriced. Go for the view and the nostalgia, and you won't be disappointed!

This flea market has variety of options for handmade bags, Jewellary, Clothes, handmade crochets / macrame material things, variety of fridge magnets, POP plates, tea coasters and pots, food options and every little thing you can ask for. You can find antique things here. You can always bargain a little here. There are restaurants and food stalls in this market also. Also the beach is very near to the market so its scenic. Its a small yet interesting place to visit.

The flea market in Goa is completely finished now. Anyone who remembers how it used to be will definitely be disappointed. It only sells useless souvenirs — the same kind of stuff you can buy anytime, anywhere, not just at the once-a-week market. There are only Indian tourists now, and the size is less than one-tenth of what it used to be — you can walk through the whole thing in under five minutes. It’s not worth going at all. Unlike before, you even have to pay for motorcycle or car parking. A total waste of money.

This market is awesome for handcrafted items and jute bags and purses and goa style outfits and decoration items.
Pragati S — Google review
I recently visited the Anjuna Flea Market in Goa during the off-season, and honestly, I found it a bit overrated. The stalls were fewer than I expected, and the crowd was minimal, so it didn’t have the lively, bustling vibe I had imagined from pictures. Some shops were even closed, which might be typical for the off-season. That said, it was still fun to stroll around, check out local handicrafts, and enjoy the quieter beach area nearby. I think visiting during peak season would give a very different, more vibrant experience.

People who likes accessories and some short thrift clothes may visit this place. There are shops that sell new clothes and there are some who sell used ones. Make your choices carefully. Though market is 9 to 9 but would suggest visit this market in the morning or early evening because they close if power goes off. Very few shops entertain bargaining. At the end of the day, people sell for cheaper price. Choose your time of visit accordingly.

This is a nice place to do some shopping in Goa. Well organized street with a lot of local items. Although the pattern keeps repeating, people visiting Goa, can go for a walk and do some shopping. However, make sure you bargain, they hype the prices and reduce it if we push. Almost every shop did that.

The Tibetan Market, situated on Baga Road in Calangute, is a bustling street market filled with numerous shops and stalls offering a wide array of goods including clothing, shoes, souvenirs, jewelry, and leather products. As the sun sets, the market comes alive with lanterns illuminating the vibrant atmosphere where visitors can find everything from local items to trendy merchandise.

Tibetian market where you can find traditional tibetian jewellery, accessories, room and home decors. Its a bit overpriced and you can find the dame stuff at other places for a cheaper price. Some items are really cheap as well. Depends on your level pf street smartness and bargaining skills.

Nestled along the vibrant Baga–Calangute stretch, the Tibetan Handicraft Market is a sensory delight. From intricately crafted singing bowls and dreamcatchers to gleaming gemstone jewelry and prayer flags, this place offers a wondrous range of Tibetan-style novelties. Though prices start on the higher side, skilled bargaining can score you truly great deals. Expect mixed interactions with vendors—some warm and helpful, others more reserved—but with a little patience you’ll find the experience rewarding. Whether you're hunting for thoughtful décor, unique souvenirs, or mystical mementos of your Goa trip, this market is a compelling stop. Bring your bargaining spirit, leave with treasure—and a slice of Tibetan tradition in North Goa. Worth a visit if you're interested in Tibetan crafts and culture.

This market is good to buy items like Artificial jewellery, bags, plastic items, toys, Handcrafted items and Wooden items. There are many items that i never seen in the past. But the thing I found here is that it is too expensive. Yes their prices are too high for every item. You have to bargain for everything you buy here. I think this should take me as feedback and try to fix this problem.

Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi while soaking up the serene atmosphere that surrounds them. The resort's ambiance is perfect for unwinding after exploring nearby attractions or lounging on the beach.
The ambience is truly delightful, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment—perfect for unwinding. Ideally located near popular tourist attractions, it’s a great choice for families and children. The food is delicious, and the staff are warm and welcoming, making the overall experience memorable.

Overall my experience was unpleasant. The road to the SinQ beach resort was very narrow. The rooms had a pungent smell. The Restrooms were good, and the food was nice. But the bed, and room atmosphere was not good. The serving staff behavior was nice and pleasant. My Wife and 8 year old kid arrived around 10 PM in the night, and the staff asked for additional charge for the kid. I was surprised. I never had this experience earlier. We 3 sleep in the same king bed and i booked a King bed room (Although i feel the room they gave appears to be like a queen bed, which i. amnot interested to argue). I tried explaining but they were not agreeing. After a long travel, i didnot want to make my family wait and agreed to pay the additional amount. So overall if there are few good points, there are equally more negatives and ended up with a little unpleasant experience.

Humiliating Reception Behavior Our stay at Sinq Beach Resort (13–15 Aug) was ruined because of the reception staff. Both receptionists were shockingly arrogant. Instead of handling guests with respect, they raised their voices and even scolded my sister-in-law when she simply asked them not to shout. Who talks to guests like that? Absolutely unacceptable! The rest of the property is average — nothing great about the food or service. But no matter what, no guest deserves to be treated the way we were. This was one of the most humiliating hotel experiences I’ve had in Goa.
Meghana K — Google review
I stayed with my family at Sinq Beach Resort, Goa, from 13th to 15th August, and I can confidently say it was the most humiliating and infuriating hotel experience I’ve ever had. The reception staff ruined our entire stay. Both receptionists were unbelievably rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Prateksha, in particular, behaved as though she was doing us a favor by even speaking to us. She raised her voice, spoke disrespectfully, and showed zero basic courtesy. When my wife calmly told her not to shout, instead of correcting herself, both receptionists ganged up and started scolding her. To make things worse, they even had the audacity to call her “hyperactive.” This is not just arrogance — it’s outright insulting behavior towards guests. No guest deserves to be treated like this. I have stayed in many hotels across Goa, but never once have I seen reception staff act so aggressively and without respect. Reception is supposed to set the tone for the stay — here, it only created stress, humiliation, and anger. The rest of the resort was average at best. The buffet was nothing special, food quality was questionable, and service indifferent. The only saving grace was one housekeeping staff member who was polite. But none of that matters when the front desk treats you like garbage. What makes this worse is that I stayed in this same hotel back in August 2023, and the experience then was excellent. That’s why I returned. Sadly, this time it was completely ruined by the reception staff’s arrogant, disgraceful behavior. Sinq Beach Resort has clearly gone downhill, and the staff — especially the receptionists — are the biggest reason. Never coming back, and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.
Sairam D — Google review
We stay here in August 20th .Reception staff was rude. Rooms are just ok not average at all. No guest deserve to stay here with this price once we pay for anything we want facility. Rooms are so cheap in condition hotel is very old in condition . In the last when we chek out their staff come in to room ne chek allthe accessories they provide third class towel , bedshit for if their is any mark of anything. If any mark noticed you have to pay for it like lipstick mark or anything. Totally disappointed with their reception staff. Food is also just ok . If u think to stay here please think twice before stay here bcz it will ruined ur day.
Ayushi J — Google review
The only good thing about this hotel is its location, very close to Calangute Beach and within walking distance of many good restaurants. They also provide valet parking, which was convenient and saved us the hassle of finding parking. However, the rooms were very average and not at all like the pictures shown on booking sites. The balcony view was extremely disappointing. On top of that, the ACs in two of our rooms were leaking, the flushes were not working properly, and in one room even the fridge was leaking. Maintenance clearly needs a lot of improvement. The biggest drawback was the reception staff. Most of them were rude and unhelpful, except for one person on the night shift who was polite. On one of the days, the lift stopped working. Since our room was on the 4th floor, we had to climb up and down multiple times. We requested to be shifted to the 2nd floor (where we had already booked two other rooms), but the receptionist, Hussain, gave illogical excuses and argued unnecessarily. We also noticed him speaking rudely with other guests. Overall, this hotel is not worth the price. If you’re paying more than ₹2,000 per night, it’s definitely not justified, location alone cannot make up for poor service, lack of maintenance, and rude staff. I would not recommend staying here.
Monika K — Google review
The listing is somewhat misleading — it only shows photos of the better parts of the property, while a significant portion looks quite different in reality. I had initially booked the Smart Room, but it was in poor condition with ceiling leakage and lacked proper maintenance, so I had to upgrade to a Deluxe Room. I would recommend avoiding the Smart Room altogether. The Wi-Fi is also just for namesake — barely works and can’t be relied upon for anything important. Check-in is delayed and check-out is early, although this seems to be common across many Goa properties. The food at the in-house restaurant is overpriced and not really worth it. Also, they don’t provide cutlery if you're ordering food from outside, which can be inconvenient. On the positive side, the breakfast was good. Overall, the stay was average — not terrible, but certainly not as great as the listing suggests. Hope this helps future travelers make an informed decision.

Pousada by the Beach is a charming small hotel with an open-air eatery that offers a rustic, beachfront setting and seafood-centric dishes. The restaurant is known for its stunning beach views, relaxed vibe, and delicious seafood fare, including their famous Fish in Banana Leaf. This popular spot has been frequented by Bollywood stars and is perfect for enjoying a meal with family while taking in the sea view and friendly hospitality.
What a wonderful place! Absolutely lovingly furnished with great attention to detail. The service is superb. On the recommendation of the chef, I had probably the best fish curry of my life there ;)

My favourite part about that restaurant was their fur babies. They have 3 labrador and 1 golden retriever roaming around in their restaurant. All 4 pets are very friendly and adorable. The view was breathtaking. You get to have a sea view from your table. The owner Neville is a gem of a person who recommended us the best food we could have there. Service was top notch.

The place has a beautiful beach view with a cool breeze, and the overall ambience felt vintage and very pleasant. The food was tasty, especially the Goan special curries, and they also offered a variety of side dishes like breads, which was a nice touch. However, I did feel that the food was a little overpriced, and the service could be improved, as I felt slightly off with the way the staff attended. Still, overall, it was a good experience with great food and a lovely setting.

An absolute oasis of calm just a stone’s throw from the beach — and the best part? They have dogs. 🐾 The place was spotless, serene, and full of wagging tails. There was Chai — who took his sweet time sizing me up — but once he decided I was worthy, he turned into a furry shadow I couldn’t shake off. There were plenty of other dogs too… their names escape me (I blame the post-lunch siesta vibes). Neville, the host, clearly has an eye for the devils in the details — every little touch spoke of care and quiet precision. Service was everything Goa should be — prompt but unhurried, polite without being performative. That perfect susegad balance where no one rushes you, but you never feel forgotten either. Yes, the food leans on the pricier side, but it more than makes up for it with generous portions and knockout flavor. All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon with friends reuniting after twenty-odd years — stories, laughter, and a few dog cuddles later, it felt like no time had passed at all. Until the next time… 🌴🍻

And upscale beach restaurant run by Neville and family. I would solely recommend Goan food here as it's the yummiest. I will suggest one to have their lip smacking soulful dishes like vegetable xacuti, steamed fish in banana leaf, goan prawn curry in coconut milk, and their desert serradura. The quantity is well balanced. I just loved the hospitality here. Very friendly and welcoming. One can open the gate of the property and wallah... you'll enter the beach.

There is outstanding and there is world class. These guys are the real deal. Meat is slow cooked, which is fantastic, and they always (operative word) have a working tandoor for cooked meat which is available less than you think in Goa! Lamb korma and lamb biryani (together, shared between) is a must here. An impressive thing is also the versatility, they did pasta and meatballs (which were self made), curry and steak very well. Very good and non disruptive digestively, which is crucial. No chance of Delhi belly here! Decent wine. This isn’t a cheeky endorsement; they really are world class. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to, anywhere. I’ve always pined for places which do food that good, I’ll never miss the chance to recommend one that does.

Food is always excellent, service brilliant and having eaten surf and turf (with a lobster tail!) on many occasions including 1 week ago where it cost 1100 rupees , was shocked (hubby nearly had a heart attack!!!!) to get charged 7000 rupees for 2 of the same meals!!!!! When we questioned the manager he said that’s the price!!!! Bearing in mind the dearest steak was 690 rupees!!! Shame but we won’t be eating there again 😣😔

Nestled along the beautiful shores of Goa, Pedro's Place is a delightful beach shack that offers a safe and welcoming atmosphere for families and friends alike. During my visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the attentive service provided by the staff, who struck just the right balance without being intrusive. After sampling various eateries in the area, it became clear that Pedro's stood out with its authentic Goan charm amidst a sea of bustling shacks.
This is the best shack in Goa . In the plethora of bollywood blasting , butter chicken making shacks, Pedro's stands out as one of the last truly Goan beach shacks in the region.. The stand outs are the prawns rawa fry, prawns curry rice and the fish fry, but also the goan sausage fry will make you forget everything else. Having said that everything on menu is awesome. Even the watermelon juice with English breakfast is epic. Over the decade that Iv been singularly coming, I have found familiar smiles , the authentic food, great music and the susegaad life. Pedro's place is laidback, affordable, unpretentious, and consistently memorable each visit. Come to Pedros for the best beach shack in Goa.

Safe and friendly place. Came with a family and we were well looked after for a number of days. We did try other places for food before finding Pedro’s, but they did not compare. The ladies on the beach will not be overbearing offering drinks etc. They got the balance right in my opinion. Spent all day with family of four. Drinks, lassi’s, juices, snacks, lunch, beers, water and coffees for between 2500-3000 for the whole family, the whole day. Quite incredible. Fish tikka for lunch was a personal favourite. 👍

I don't think I've met more friendly and trustworthy staff at any shack ever. Pedro's Place is now a staple visit everytime I'm in Goa. The food is great, Pedro has his own special coffee and club sandwich, and the staff will help you out with literally anything you need. They also have an open shower and a private washroom to wash off the sand and freshen up after the beach.

Guys Chandru and Ashok have always been polite , they always suggested what I might like from the dishes and every time they guessed what I wanted. Hope to eat again soon at this lovely place

Had an amazing time at Baked in Goa with friends! The whole experience was just perfect. We tried their pizza, pasta, chicken dishes, and pineapple mocktail—everything was super tasty and fresh. The vibe of the place is chill and cozy, and we had a blast playing pool too (check out the pic!). It’s a great spot to hang out, eat good food, and enjoy some fun time with friends. Totally recommend if you're in Goa and looking for a fun evening out!

For our group this restaurant came as blessing in disguise. We were looking for a pizza restaurant serving halaal chicken and luckily we found the best in the town. The show stopper Mateen Bhai welcomed us with great hospitality and suggested his dishes considering our taste buds and trust me everything on the table was lip smacking tasty. We went there twice, once for lunch and then for dinner. We had their pizzas, pastas, starters (Try their chic wings, chic drumstick, chic pocket) you will surely order one more round. Best part is that they use their own homemade spicies so there is a sort of unique taste in every dish. Keep us the good work. Wish I visit you guys often.

Perfect place around Calangute with a perfect vibe and mouth watering snacks. Amongst the hustle of crowded beaches around, this place stands out with its cozy ambiance and delicious food. The interiors were just fantastic. Expect some waiting time as mostly it's crowded, but must have a go if you're looking for a perfect time with your friends and dear ones..

We had the veg pizza. It was super tasty. The owner is very friendly. It was pouring when we reached the restaurant, owner came out himself to show us way to park the car. It was owners birthday that day the staff was celebrating cutting cake. It all had very happy vibes. 😊 Will definitely go here again when I'm in Goa next time.

We tried their Wood fired Margherita Pizza, Barbeque Wings and Red Sauce Pasta alongwith a Pinã Colada and LIIT. The Pizza was super thin and crunchy with cheese being ample but the tomato/marinara sauce could've been a lot better as we could taste uncooked tomatoes. The Barbeque Wings were asked to be made spicy and they did deliver on that. The quantity of the wings was sufficient for one person to gorge on. The pasta was average and had no distinct flavour to it and could have used more sauces and seasoning. The cocktails were nice and coupled with the loud music and dim lighting, they did bring on a slight buzz. They have a pool table (chargeable) and games to play if you want to while some time away. The restaurant has some parking space out front but it can get jumbled and jammed at times. It's a nice joint but has the potential to be a lot better.

Absolutely amazing, wonderful place to relax, have fun and wonderful food. LOVED the mixed sauce pasta, and the pizza was too good as well.

Pulled up to this cozy lil' café with the friends for some wood fire Royal Pizza, vibes were on point 🔥👑🍕 Ambiance was chill, perfect spot to kick it and catch up. That Royal Pizza hit different crispy crust, fire toppings, no cap. Definately a spot we’re hittin’ again. 10/10 for chillin’ & chewin’ 😎🍕

Was there in June this year. We had gone for a dinner after reading the reviews. Must say it was a marvelous decision to come here. Great atmosphere, very lively and youthful vibes. We ordered veg and chicken pizzas and great drinks to go with it. Simply enjoyed the delicious food sitting for hours together. Every bite was so full of taste and flavour. Max helped us in selecting our menu. Even after three months can't forget the taste. Anyone wanting to have great pizza while in Goa, don't miss out on this place. Completely worth it. Thanks 👍

Goan restaurant
The Fisherman's Wharf, a popular establishment since 2005, has become renowned for its fusion Goan cuisine and now boasts three outlets across Goa. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the sea and an inviting atmosphere. Dishes like Potato Cafreal and Panko Crusted Prawns are highly recommended. With ship-deck decor and excellent service, it attracts visitors from all over to its Panjim, Salcette, and Calangute locations.
Now I know why this restaurant is very famous. The food and the service are very good. The server named Miriam took care of our table and she patiently explained and recommended good dishes for us. We enjoyed Spiced panko prawns dish.
Jassica J — Google review
The service was good and they do have parking space, plus both indoor and outdoor dining areas that are neat and well kept. I tried many dishes here - the pork vindaloo and butter garlic prawns were nice, but everything else felt very average. The food is on the expensive side and honestly not worth the price.
Raunac P — Google review
Nice place to visit if you are in this area. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating with aircon which seems a must in October heat. All the dishes we tried were very good. The sweet corn soup was nice . The hummus and veg spring rolls were superb. The prawn curry rice was excellent. A very different and great taste . Apple pie was nice . Service was excellent and prompt.

Crab recheado, chorizo poi, and chicken fry were amazing! Side note, 2 drink items were added on our bill that we did not order- they were able to reconcile in a professional manner. Love the live band!
Mary N — Google review
We went here to celebrate my brother's birthday after reading that this place has got that vibe & all but in actuality, it was nothing like that and the overall vibe was very thanda thanda. After consulting with the staff we have ordered Goan chicken fry, Kingfish fry in Goan style and chicken fried rice. The chicken fry was good which was spicy, tangy and served along with Goan Poi. We didn't like the kingfish fry as it was not the fry we expected, we thought it would be served as rava fried. The chicken fried rice was bad, it didn't satisfy our taste buds as it was more on the sweeter side. The main reason to visit here was to get those vibes that were missed and the food was okay okayish.

I tried based on reviews. But wasnt that gpod. The waiting was huge, we were made to sit outside, and the time to serve food was also pretty long. Surmai was fresh, but the size was very small. Pls go to Fat fish for better food experience

Decent place to try good Goan cuisine and service was good despite of the crowd. Recommend butter garlic prawns, calamari tempura and authentic dessert Bebinka. Blueberry cheesecake was finger licking good!

Went on vacation during a great time (off season), the restaurant was not at its peak hour and we enjoyed the entire meal. Food was pretty good, especially the Goan sausage Poi. I am sure to visit this restaurant whenever I am in Goa next. Can’t tell much about the atmosphere since it was day time, but loved the look of the place.

Great local market, it has everything available from fresh fruits to vegetables to fish, meat, bakery items, clothes, electronic, spices, and probably much more. The prices are good and the variety is amazing. Must visit for a local shopping experience. The bread available there is amazing.

A vibrant tapestry of sights, sounds, and smells, Mapusa Market is an absolute must-visit for anyone wanting to experience the authentic buzz of Goa. Feel the local Goan life here. Buy clothes, accessories, fish, fruits and even grains. Avoid rush hours as the parking is limited. Friday is the weekly market day when shopping is at it's peak. Don't forget to try the coconut milk shake in the parking lot.

Chapora Beach is a nice spot with a relaxed vibe and beautiful views, especially around sunset. It’s less crowded than some of the more popular beaches, which is a plus if you want some quiet time. However, the beach itself can be a bit rocky in places and isn’t as clean as I hoped. There aren’t many facilities nearby, so it’s best to come prepared. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re exploring the area, but don’t expect a pristine, full-service beach experience.
Mangesh ( — Google review
It's January and low tide, there's literally no one in the beach, it's more of a fishing area. Full of wood, coconut shells and boats laying around.

Modern European restaurant
A Reverie is a high-end restaurant located near Panjim, offering modern European cuisine in a chic and partially open-air setting. The establishment is known for its extravagant dishes and ample selection of spirits. While some patrons have reported a decline in standards, it remains a popular spot for continental fare. With its stylish furnishings and upscale atmosphere, A Reverie provides an ideal setting for indulging in fine dining experiences.
An incredible experience of taste, rich of flavors. The ambiance of the place is great but the food is even better. A lot of effort is also put on the presentation of the meals. No details are left appart. This is second time I visit this place in less than one year but they kept their standard at the same ultimate level. Impressive ! The price is incredibly humble compared to the high quality. They would deserve at least one star at Michelin. Definitely the restaurant to visit when in Goa !
Dark F — Google review
It is a cozy spot with a very aesthetic vibe :-) We tried their Red Sauce Pasta and Lebanese platter, both of which were incredibly flavorful. The pasta was a standout. Their cocktail menu is impressive, and the Lemon Ice is a refreshing must-try. While the portion sizes might be smaller than expected, the quality of the food more than makes up for it.
Ankita R — Google review
Great ambience and an interesting menu, but food portions and taste do not match the menu description or the price. Service is slow. The pastas are average. Most shockingly, for a place serving Italian food, they're out of stock for bread.
Ashwini A — Google review
One of those places that try to act fancy by treating their customers badly, really ruined our night. I had a headache and asked the manager to reduce the volume a little which he denied even though there was almost no one else at the restaurant, They could have easily accommodated us. Service was slow, there were mosquitoes and the risotto I had was as good as I’ve had at any other place. Wouldn’t recommend. Small portions, high prices. Don’t understand why was the vegetarian section so much more expensive than the non veg options, but yeah goes on brand with the bougie attitude.
Samyak J — Google review
I especially liked the atmosphere and music. During off-season the place isn't very busy but still very enjoyable if you like it a bit less crowded. I only had a starter but it was plenty, especially with the garlic bread served as a side dish. During elections the bar is closed and you can't get any alcoholic drinks.
Daniel L — Google review
We visited this restaurant after going through a few positive reviews. Firstly, I have to mention about the ambience. Looks very posh, very classy, perfect colour combinations. The pricing is a little on the higher side but the presentation was like the MasterChef dishes. No AC, outer seating. A huge let down is the mosquitos because of the natural plants. Each dish has a philosophy behind it and is presented as a reflection of their philosophy. We ordered Pasta (both Alfredo and pink sauce), omelette and garlic bread and Coffeholics anonymous for dessert. Each dish tasted great. No complaints for the price we paid. However, for a restaurant so stunning, the waiters were not that great. They were lost in their own world, and we had to return the dish back to the kitchen. But the singer that day, was awesome and just transported us to a whole new world.
Pratibha N — Google review
The ambience is so subtle yet soothing, the food was brilliant, and the cost was not too high for the quality of food being served. I absolutely loved the amount of thought and intricate work which was put into every dish, making each element shine on it's own. I feel like I've had my MasterChef tasting experience. If you're in Goa, this is a must visit !!

This was such a terrific first visit. While I shall definitely visit again, I’m just so entirely taken by the premises itself but also its location.went for the recent Goa Arts show and was bowled over by the first two pieces. The others were underwhelming for me, but that’s the best part about art, right? That some of it speaks to some of us? Striking exterior is quite the photo op unto itself. Hoping to grab something to eat at their cafe next time!

Sunaparanta - Goa Center for the Arts, Goa 🎨⛱️ Immerse in Art and Culture at Sunaparanta Nestled in the serene Altinho hills of Panjim, the Sunaparanta, Goa Centre for the Arts, is a vibrant cultural hub that offers a delightful blend of traditional Goan charm and contemporary art. Founded in 2009 by the visionary Dattaraj V. Salgaocar, this non-profit center aims to preserve Goa's artistic legacy while fostering modern creative expressions. The term "Sunaparanta" is rooted in Buddhist tradition, combining "Suna" (a place) and "Aparanta" (the region of fierce people), aptly reflecting the center's bold and dynamic approach to art. Housed in a beautifully restored Portuguese bungalow, the center boasts terracotta roofs, sweeping staircases, and a central courtyard that enhances its rustic yet grand aesthetic. Art lovers can immerse themselves in a variety of exhibitions featuring both local and international artists. The center is well-known for its eclectic programming, including the annual Sensorium Festival, which explores the intersection of various art forms such as photography, literature, and cinema. Additionally, the Shanghvi Salons offer intellectually stimulating discussions with renowned personalities from the creative world. Sunaparanta also hosts workshops, film screenings, and children's programs, making it a lively space for artistic engagement. Notable programs include "Film for Thought," which screens critically acclaimed films, and "In Stages," a theatre workshop for teenagers. The open-air Café Al Fresco is a must-visit, serving delectable dishes in a charming setting. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely meal while soaking in the artistic ambiance. Open from Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM, Sunaparanta is a cultural gem in Goa that transcends the typical beach-centric allure of the state. Great place for seafood. We were able to choose our own fish. Had a red snapper with side salad which was amazing (I’m not sure what I liked more, the red snapper cooked in local spices or the slightly spices salad on the side). Restaurant
Olive Bar & Kitchen is a popular destination for travelers seeking a relaxing dining experience with stunning views of the Arabian Sea. The al-fresco seating offers a plush setting to enjoy gourmet cafe meals inspired by local produce and fresh seafood. As the sun sets, guests can unwind to the sounds of jazz music while savoring Mediterranean and local fare in a Greek-inspired setting.
Olive Bar & Restaurant is a total gem! The ambiance is absolutely perfect, with an incredible view of Vagator Beach. It was magical to hear the sound of the waves while we ate at night. For our meal, we started with the Farinata Pizza Crackers, which were so good-super crispy and flavorful. The Chef's Selection of Vegetarian Toppings with mushrooms and caramelized onion was a delicious choice. Everything was fresh and the hand-cut chips were perfect. Definitely a must-visit spot in Vagator!

We had a great experience. The vibe was amazing served with panoramic views of the ocean and delicious bites on the side. Their cocktails are also crafted well. Harshita is super thoughtful and will make sure you have a super experience.

Absolutely loved the place! The ambience is stunning with beautiful sea views, perfect for sunsets. The vibe is classy yet relaxed. Food was delicious — especially the Mediterranean dishes — and the cocktails were refreshing. Service was quick and friendly, and the staff made sure we had a great experience. A perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a chill evening with friends. Definitely one of the best places to visit in Goa!

Olive at Vagator Beach, Goa 🌊🍝 is an amazing restaurant that offers a perfect blend of delicious food and stunning beach views! The spaghetti was absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best I’ve ever had 👌. Every dish, from the tacos 🌮 and paneer BBQ 🍢 to the refreshing drinks 🍹, was full of rich flavor and beautifully served. The beach view adds a refreshing and soothing atmosphere, making the whole experience extra special 🌅✨. With great food, relaxing vibes, and friendly service, Olive is truly a must-visit spot in Goa!

I visited this place on 30th September 2025 and had one of the most disappointing experiences ever. The staff’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional and discriminatory. I have stayed and been to Taj, ITC, Vibe, Hyatt, Windmill Craftworks and some more 5 -star places in Dubai as well but never experienced this kind of scenario. 1st incident: When we arrived, a couple was seated at a particular table. After they left, a family with a child requested the same spot. To my surprise, the waiter refused and told them that the seat is reserved for large gatherings, which is a lie since that rich man with a load of cash with his gf/wife was sitting there for the last 45 mins. I personally overheard this, and it was appalling to witness such open bias. 2nd incident: I asked the waiter to clarify whether the pepperoni pizza was made with chicken (as it often is in Bengaluru) or pork. Instead of answering politely, he mocked me and, in a condescending tone, said “pepperoni is pork!” Also, there was a cat roaming around the restaurant climbing on the chairs and around food which might be acceptable for some blind cat lovers but not to us. Even after we requested them to remove her they didnt pay heed. A true 5- star would have never treated their customers in this manner! For a place that is overpriced and seems to pride itself on serving only so-called “high-class” customers, the management clearly misunderstands what true class and elegance mean. True high-class service is defined by courtesy, respect, and inclusivity — qualities that were entirely absent here. Overall, a demeaning and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food is commendable. We had Aglio e olio, Chef's selection of vegetables pizza ( image attached ), coco cooler cocktail ( image attached ), artichoke barigoule. The ambience of the place is welcoming and you get a view of beach from there so it's a bonus.

Slow service because of less staff. Pasta was nice and drinks were decent. Location is beautiful

The Black Sheep Bistro is a vibrant restaurant known for its global cuisine made with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and creative cocktails. Situated in a 100-year-old Portuguese bungalow, this fine dining establishment in Goa offers a blend of traditional Goan flavors with modern influences. The owner takes pride in reintroducing forgotten varieties of Goan fish and vegetables on the menu.
The food was absolutely amazing, the staff polite and friendly. Didn't have to wait too long for our order. Specifically recommend the Hash Chorizo (I think that's what it was called) and Salcette Paneer.

Easily one of the best dinner’s we’ve had. We ordered the Burrata Salad, Beet Spaghetti, Not Pad Thai Prawns and Textures of Olive for dessert. This went beyond just dinner and became an experience we wouldn’t forget. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

It's a full-fledged European taste that makes you forget you're in India. Where has the chef been trained? Hats off. Never before has I come across this quality in Bangalore. I would like this restaurant to be opened in Bangalore as well. Come on.

Great joint in Panjim to chill on a lazy afternoon. Ample parking. We had the Lotus Stem, Mango Vietnamese Rolls, Not Pad Thai and the Veggie Burger. All top notch. Must visit!

Came here due to a recommendation from a friend. And needless to say it exceeded expectations. Mind blowing food, excellent cost ambience and top class service.

Very beautiful place, has a European cuisine. They only own Goa made drinks. I was curious and tried their pork pulled burger. It was deliciously mouth watering and their fries were on point. Thats when i know a restaurant is worth a return .

Art cafe
Nestled in the charming heritage village of Assagao in North Goa, Mojigao is a hidden gem cafe that offers a serene forest-view setting. The cafe is known for serving some of the best coffee in town along with refreshing fresh juices and a delectable homemade cheese platter. Surrounded by towering trees and the sound of chirping birds, it provides a peaceful sanctuary to enjoy sandwiches, hummus, or homemade pita.
Mojigao Eco Resort is such a peaceful escape! The entire place feels so close to nature — calm, serene, and beautifully eco-friendly. The food is absolutely superb, especially the vegan options, which are a must-try. Honestly, everything on the menu is so good that it’s hard to say what not to eat! The hospitality is warm and genuine, making the whole experience even more memorable. A perfect spot if you’re looking to recharge in nature’s lap with amazing food and vibes. 🌱✨

We had an amazing stay at Mojigao Eco Resort, even extending our stay for an extra night, staying for 5 nights in total. The cabin was in peaceful surroundings in the beautiful bothanic garden. It was nice just sitting out on the terrace in the morning, waking up to the sound of birds. We even saw monkeys climbing in the trees right by the cabin! The cabin itself was in great conditions, and blended in with the nature. Minimalistic and luxurious. Comfortable beds. The breakfast had a great selection: smoothie bowls, avocado toast and scrambled eggs! If there’s one thing that could be improved, I want to mention that the restaurant was not open to adapt to our wishes in terms of the set breakfast menu. We kindly asked to have the avocado toast (one of the set options in the menu), but add a fried egg on it, as the other set options on the menu had toast, avocado and fried egg as a set option with other things. However, we were then told that we had to pay for breakfast if we wanted to add eggs, as it was not included in the set menu for breakfast. We also asked to replace the rice with potatoes in one dish at dinner, but were then told we had to pay for an extra dish of pasta from the children’s menu. Other than this, we really enjoyed our stay and the restaurant. The staff were amazing, so helpful and kind, always meeting us with a big smile, and recommending us dishes to try. Especially Pallav made us feel very welcome and recommended us great tapas dishes to try! The team in the reception were also very helpful, both with extending our stay, sending our clothes for laundry and letting us borrow cycles to explore the area! Want to add that we had a great experience at the nature spa, very kind staff, and amazing spa treatments.

I came to North Goa only to stay at this hotel, it’s truly eco-friendly in every detail. I highly recommend it to everyone to try, and it’s definitely not the last time I’ll be coming here. I want to give a special thanks to the staff, who are incredibly friendly and helpful. I was on a solo trip, and they made me feel so safe and like part of a family. First of all, I’d like to thank Falida, who helped me with my booking and welcomed me warmly when I arrived. She also gave me great suggestions on what to do based on what I told her I liked. Joshua was also very kind and helpful, he assisted me whenever I needed something and made my stay so easy. A big thanks to Antony, who helped me with my food. I’m vegetarian (and don’t eat onion or garlic), which can be challenging, but he made sure I had delicious meals that suited my preferences. And last but not least, Hanuman, the coolest taxi driver ever, he made me feel safe and we had so much fun together. I’ve created memories here, with the people and the place, that I’ll never forget. They will stay in my heart forever. Thank you, Mojigao Eco Resort team, for making my stay so special and joyful! 🌿💚

I had the most magical stay here. Everything was perfect, my room was stunning and every detail was perfection. So peaceful and ambient. Staff were all wonderful and made me feel so welcome. Amazing spa and yoga classes, the yoga teacher was next level. Highlight for me was the driver and tour guide Hanuman. He showed us so many special local spots and his passion and knowledge for the area was exceptional. He made our time in Goa that so much more special. I recommend that you ask for him if you want to explore Goa. Cannot wait to return again.

I couldn’t forget my stay here last year, so I decided to come back again this year. I stayed for three days, and it was truly refreshing to spend time in such a peaceful, nature-filled environment. What I love the most about this place is the wonderful hospitality of all the staff members. Everyone is always calm, kind, and genuinely caring. When I was unfortunately a victim of a scam while booking through Booking.com, the staff went out of their way to support me, and I am deeply grateful for their help. If I may point out one small thing — the bed sheets and towels had a slightly damp smell. I understand it’s difficult on rainy days, but if this could be improved, the stay would be even more comfortable. I would love to stay here again next year. Thank you sincerely for your warm hospitality.

The location of the cafe is exquisite, and the whole decor and ambience is too good, with the whole natural vibes it is so healing, I only went to the cafe so I wouldn't be tge judge for the resort but it must be great too. I went there for a friends get together and well it was great place for that, the 4 stars is because the service took a lot of time only for one drink and rest of the drinks were on time, which felt as if the order was forgotten and we had to remind the waiter (not a big deal tho:) but then the hot chocolate which I ordered was not that great and tasted powdery and thag chocolatey taste was missing. Thats the whole reason i am cutting the point here, on the other hand the mocktails and cold coffee which my friends had got good compliments so thats there. The service and taste(specific to hot chocolate) felt below the standards set by its subsidiary cafe brand artjuna which i have been a customer a couple of times earlier. I hope they take this in constructive manner and improve the hot chocolate there :)

Mojigao is a little piece of tropical paradise🥰 Not only is the setting beautiful, the service, food and attention to detail in the rooms was simply outstanding. I truly felt ‘taken care of’. Even when having to depart as early as 5am to catch my flight, Mojigao made sure to offer me a full freshly cooked breakfast. I will certainly return and cannot recommend this place enough🙏❤️

One of the best and most amazing places for the perfect end of Goa trip detox! The ambience here is chill and super peaceful! The restaurant is surrounded by trees and offers amazing food and drinks with a great view! A hidden gem value for money place when in Goa! Must visit on your trip!
