Great place to take photos of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. It is the 2nd longest suspension bridge in the world at 3,911 meters, and links Kobe City to Awaji Island.

This is the most unforgettable and beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen in my life! It was so stunning that it gave me goosebumps! If you’re a sunset lover like me, make sure to come here on a clear day to watch it — it’s truly the most memorable view of my entire trip!
Wei K — Google review
Great spot right outside the station to see the bridge. Great view, gets a bit windier later at night. Lots of local fishing happening, with families of all ages fishing! Amazing sunset views, and the bridge lights up at night. Has restrooms, a bit dirty though.

Its great place for roaming. Nice and unforgettable view, loved it.

The largest handing bridge in the world and just by looking at it you feel it. There is a house at the left very nice. The bridge itself is accessible by elevator and you can see how large and tall it is, also on top it is a restaurant.

Love the water , So this is one of my favorites. In the day time you can lay out on the grass small picnic , also Pet friendly park. But at Night the Bridge lights up , different colors in different seasons. Also there's night or day fishing as well. Beautiful way to and a nite out or after dinner.....Great place!

Nice spot for fishing 🎣 with such a breathtaking scenery. During daytime is beautiful. But, Especially around the time of Sunset 🌇 Will be Super Beautiful!! 🧡🧡🧡 Since Summer 2022 from June until August there was an event called "Sunset Beer Garden" 🍻🍺🍻 This is a Sophisticated event that must not missed 😀😋
Anaste1612 — Google review
Wish you could walk on top of the bridge, but the small walkway and visitors center was nice. But for the bigger and better version of the golden gate, the visitor part feels a bit of an afterthought. Regardless, good views and neat experience. I would go back.

If you're looking for a delightful outdoor experience, look no further than 大蔵海岸BBQ ZAZAZA. Nestled just a short stroll from JR Asagiri station, this charming BBQ venue offers stunning views of Okura Bay and the iconic Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which happens to be the longest suspension bridge in the world. The three-story setup allows you to enjoy barbecuing year-round, whether under the warm sun or twinkling stars at night.
I always love this place, and so do the friends I bring. The atmosphere is so fun, everyone's having a good time. They have everything you need, just bring meat. The view of the beach and bridge are really beautiful. It's covered, so assume it would be nice even on rainy days, but I've always been lucky about the weather. Pretty easy to from the station, supermarket nearby in case you forgot anything, or want something more. I recommend it. Always a good time.

The Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge is a remarkable suspension bridge that connects Kobe City and Awaji Island, spanning the scenic Akashi Strait. It holds the distinction of being one of the world's longest suspension bridges, offering tours to its exhibition center and top. Opened in 1998, it was once the longest suspension bridge globally at 3,911m.
I have visited Akashi Kaikyo Bridge on multiple occasions. I vividly recall the thrill I experienced during my initial crossing through the glass platform situated underneath the bridge. From this vantage point, we were able to observe the sea below, with boats passing directly underneath. Additionally, we witnessed engineers conducting their inspection shifts, driving through the lower stage of the bridge. The experience was truly remarkable.

The Akashi Kaikyō Bridge also called the Pearl Bridge, is one of Japan’s greatest engineering marvels. It Connects Kobe (Honshu) with Awaji Island, spanning the Akashi Strait in Hyōgo Prefecture. the Total length 3,911 meters (3.9 km). The main span is 1,991 meters, making it the longest suspension bridge span in the world (a record it still holds). Height: Bridge towers rise 283 meters above sea level. Opened: April 5, 1998. Before the bridge, ferries carried cars across the Akashi Strait — a dangerous waterway with strong currents and storms. In 1955, two ferries sank in a typhoon, killing 168 children and adults. This tragedy pushed Japan to build a safer permanent crossing. Construction took 10 years (1988–1998) and used advanced earthquake- and typhoon-resistant technology. The 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake struck during construction, shifting the towers apart by 1 meter — engineers adjusted, and the bridge was completed successfully.

Very impressive. Nice to go up and see the landscape. During the evening it lights up multiple colors like a rainbow. I am so happy that I visited there.

A very interesting tour of this impressive bridge. The tours are run by former engineers and crew of the design and build of the bridge so they are very knowledgeable. Your trip will start with an orientation and safety briefing. All items you will bring with must be secured by lanyards to you. They will provide you with everything that you will need before heading out on the tour. Once your orientation is completed, you will head down to the bridge construction exhibition on the main floor. Following your tour of the exhibitions you will make your way out to the bridge promenade. From the promenade you will enter into the maintenance area beneath the traffic surface. The walk from the promenade to the support tower is approximately 1.4kms. Once you arrive at the support tower, you will head up by way of a maintenance elevator built into the core of the tower (from floor 17 to floor 98). Making your way through the support tower core and onto the observation deck on top of the tower will require moderate mobility. They do confirm that you will be able to navigate this portion of the tour before allowing you to proceed during the safety briefing. The views from the observation area on top of the tower is amazing to say the least. The view is well worth all the work to get up there and well worth the cost of the ticket.

Perfect curry! Lovely location. You can see the park and the ocean from inside the shop!

The food was good, the view was nice, the counter seats though are small and uncomfortable. About 1,500 yen for curry and small salad, no drinks, feels expensive for a fast food restaurant.

Very good view and many bookshelves with manga to read while waiting for the food. The tonkatsu was a bit too well-done and the food didn't taste quite as well as in the Nagahama restaurant.

(Translated by Google) As you can see in the photo, the view from the window is simply spectacular. This is probably the best CoCo Ichibanya in Japan. The view alone is worth a visit. The restaurant is quiet, the staff are friendly, and you can dine in a relaxed atmosphere. Today I had the seasonal tandoori chicken tomato flavor, which had a good balance of spiciness and sourness and was very delicious. (Translated by Google) I used it for lunch on Sunday. I think it's better to make a reservation. There is a Japanese restaurant called "Kikusui" on the street behind the restaurant, so be careful not to confuse it. I took a seat at the counter I had reserved and ordered a draft beer and a 5,200 yen course. I was very satisfied with the dishes that came out one after another and the delicious sake. I was given a few extra items to make, and they even gave me things that weren't on the menu, so it was really delicious and I had a great time. I would like to use it again. There is a parking lot, but it is convenient because you can walk from the station.

"Kikusuizen" ¥3,520 A set of appetizers, sashimi, and nigiri sushi. It was firefly squid season, so I chose that for my appetizer. I also enjoyed Akashi sea bream sashimi.
