Nature & Parks
Hyogo Prefectural Maiko Park is a 7.8-hectare oceanside city park that offers a variety of attractions such as a promenade, playground, and pine forest. Situated between the Seto Inland Sea in the south and the Rokko mountains in the north, visitors can engage in seasonal leisure activities like mountain climbing and skiing at Mt. Rokko or enjoy walking and sea bathing in Suma and Maiko.
Great place to take photos of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. It is the 2nd longest suspension bridge in the world at 3,911 meters, and links Kobe City to Awaji Island.

This is the most unforgettable and beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen in my life! It was so stunning that it gave me goosebumps! If you’re a sunset lover like me, make sure to come here on a clear day to watch it — it’s truly the most memorable view of my entire trip!

Great spot right outside the station to see the bridge. Great view, gets a bit windier later at night. Lots of local fishing happening, with families of all ages fishing! Amazing sunset views, and the bridge lights up at night. Has restrooms, a bit dirty though.

The largest handing bridge in the world and just by looking at it you feel it. There is a house at the left very nice. The bridge itself is accessible by elevator and you can see how large and tall it is, also on top it is a restaurant.

Love the water , So this is one of my favorites. In the day time you can lay out on the grass small picnic , also Pet friendly park. But at Night the Bridge lights up , different colors in different seasons. Also there's night or day fishing as well. Beautiful way to and a nite out or after dinner.....Great place!

Nice spot for fishing 🎣 with such a breathtaking scenery. During daytime is beautiful. But, Especially around the time of Sunset 🌇 Will be Super Beautiful!! 🧡🧡🧡 Since Summer 2022 from June until August there was an event called "Sunset Beer Garden" 🍻🍺🍻 This is a Sophisticated event that must not missed 😀😋

Wish you could walk on top of the bridge, but the small walkway and visitors center was nice. But for the bigger and better version of the golden gate, the visitor part feels a bit of an afterthought. Regardless, good views and neat experience. I would go back.

If you're looking for a delightful outdoor experience, look no further than 大蔵海岸BBQ ZAZAZA. Nestled just a short stroll from JR Asagiri station, this charming BBQ venue offers stunning views of Okura Bay and the iconic Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which happens to be the longest suspension bridge in the world. The three-story setup allows you to enjoy barbecuing year-round, whether under the warm sun or twinkling stars at night.
I always love this place, and so do the friends I bring. The atmosphere is so fun, everyone's having a good time. They have everything you need, just bring meat. The view of the beach and bridge are really beautiful. It's covered, so assume it would be nice even on rainy days, but I've always been lucky about the weather. Pretty easy to from the station, supermarket nearby in case you forgot anything, or want something more. I recommend it. Always a good time.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge is a remarkable suspension bridge that connects Kobe City and Awaji Island, spanning the scenic Akashi Strait. It holds the distinction of being one of the world's longest suspension bridges, offering tours to its exhibition center and top. Opened in 1998, it was once the longest suspension bridge globally at 3,911m.
I have visited Akashi Kaikyo Bridge on multiple occasions. I vividly recall the thrill I experienced during my initial crossing through the glass platform situated underneath the bridge. From this vantage point, we were able to observe the sea below, with boats passing directly underneath. Additionally, we witnessed engineers conducting their inspection shifts, driving through the lower stage of the bridge. The experience was truly remarkable.

The Akashi Kaikyō Bridge also called the Pearl Bridge, is one of Japan’s greatest engineering marvels. It Connects Kobe (Honshu) with Awaji Island, spanning the Akashi Strait in Hyōgo Prefecture. the Total length 3,911 meters (3.9 km). The main span is 1,991 meters, making it the longest suspension bridge span in the world (a record it still holds). Height: Bridge towers rise 283 meters above sea level. Opened: April 5, 1998. Before the bridge, ferries carried cars across the Akashi Strait — a dangerous waterway with strong currents and storms. In 1955, two ferries sank in a typhoon, killing 168 children and adults. This tragedy pushed Japan to build a safer permanent crossing. Construction took 10 years (1988–1998) and used advanced earthquake- and typhoon-resistant technology. The 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake struck during construction, shifting the towers apart by 1 meter — engineers adjusted, and the bridge was completed successfully.

Very impressive. Nice to go up and see the landscape. During the evening it lights up multiple colors like a rainbow. I am so happy that I visited there.

A very interesting tour of this impressive bridge. The tours are run by former engineers and crew of the design and build of the bridge so they are very knowledgeable. Your trip will start with an orientation and safety briefing. All items you will bring with must be secured by lanyards to you. They will provide you with everything that you will need before heading out on the tour. Once your orientation is completed, you will head down to the bridge construction exhibition on the main floor. Following your tour of the exhibitions you will make your way out to the bridge promenade. From the promenade you will enter into the maintenance area beneath the traffic surface. The walk from the promenade to the support tower is approximately 1.4kms. Once you arrive at the support tower, you will head up by way of a maintenance elevator built into the core of the tower (from floor 17 to floor 98). Making your way through the support tower core and onto the observation deck on top of the tower will require moderate mobility. They do confirm that you will be able to navigate this portion of the tour before allowing you to proceed during the safety briefing. The views from the observation area on top of the tower is amazing to say the least. The view is well worth all the work to get up there and well worth the cost of the ticket.

The food was good, the view was nice, the counter seats though are small and uncomfortable. About 1,500 yen for curry and small salad, no drinks, feels expensive for a fast food restaurant.

(Translated by Google) I used it for lunch on Sunday. I think it's better to make a reservation. There is a Japanese restaurant called "Kikusui" on the street behind the restaurant, so be careful not to confuse it. I took a seat at the counter I had reserved and ordered a draft beer and a 5,200 yen course. I was very satisfied with the dishes that came out one after another and the delicious sake. I was given a few extra items to make, and they even gave me things that weren't on the menu, so it was really delicious and I had a great time. I would like to use it again. There is a parking lot, but it is convenient because you can walk from the station. For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Ōkura Beach Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Papios Akashi. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Park
Ōkura Beach Park is a serene coastal retreat nestled between Kobe and Akashi, offering a tranquil atmosphere and stunning views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. The park features sports fields, children's play areas, and ample BBQ facilities, making it perfect for gatherings and celebrations. Visitors can enjoy long walks along the sandy coastline, bike rides, fishing expeditions, or even set up tents under the trees for a camping experience.
It's a nice beach park. I visited this place on a way from Akashi Castle Ruins and Akashi Park back to JR train station because I left the aforementioned places earlier than expected, and I didn't regret. The bay view with an impressively long bridge that connects Awaji Island is spectacular.
Marian P — Google review
The beach is clean and safe. It is accessible, just about 5minutes away from train station on foot. There is a free tent with picnic tables. But since the number is only limited, I suggest going early to secure your place. Swimming was not yet allowed when we went there, so the shower rooms weren't open either. But the whole place is perfect for family and friends' bonding. Might get a little crowded in the afternoon from 3pm onwards. So I suggest going there early.
J B — Google review
It is a nice #Park located in Kobe by the seashore. l recommend it for long walks and riding a bike. Some people come here for fishing. There are a few spots available for your tent to watch the seaview under trees and have your little camping. Also, there is a Sport Outlet store and supermarket nearby. It is quiet convenient.

Akashi Municipal Planetarium is a museum dedicated to time and space, featuring telescopes and exhibits on the solar system. The highlight of the museum is the Planetarium Dome, which houses the oldest planetarium projector in Japan. Despite being unaffected by the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, it continues to offer faithful re-creations of the sky, including stars, planets, and the Milky Way accompanied with live commentary.
This is a fascinating planetarium..lots of stuff and a very nice view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Go up to the 14th floor and enjoy the scenic view all around you. It's a historic building, so it's not the latest, but about six people in wheelchairs came to the planetarium, so I think it's barrier-free♿️😊 I encountered a teacher who was checking out where to eat lunch in the rain at the counter, so I felt that it was a well-liked place! The rooftop is only open during events, but you can go outside on another floor. The observation room was a wonderful place to see the Seto Ohashi Bridge, the ships coming and going, and the two train tracks♥ (Original)

The permanent exhibition displays the history and culture of the Akashi area from 2 million years ago to the present day. You can get to know the area better. When you visited, you happened to encounter the exhibition of texts, illustrations, notes, tools and other materials of the owner of Akashi City Udon Shop, Shinpachi Takanashi. There is a fee for parking, but I have visited various museums, and I think it can't be helped because of the difference in location between the suburbs and the city. My boom museum tour! This time it's Akashi! From ancient times to the present day, the history and culture of Akashi, which you didn't know about before, was displayed in great detail with many materials and videos. I also avoided visiting historical sites in the area before returning home, so I will visit them another day. Thank you for preserving and displaying many cultural materials. I really enjoyed it♪ (Original)

There was an exhibition of local picture book author Tanaka Shin's artwork and sketches, showcasing his soft touch and striking use of color, as well as materials revealing the behind-the-scenes process of creating a picture book. The works exude a nostalgic and warmth, creating a gentle worldview that even adults will find comforting. Some of the exhibits even feature three-dimensional recreations of scenes from picture books, making it a fun experience for both children and adults on their own. The venue had a calming atmosphere, allowing me to carefully appreciate each piece. I was also impressed by the staff's careful explanations of the artists' backgrounds and stories behind their creations. I stopped by in between sightseeing, and it turned out to be an unexpectedly wonderful time. Papios Akashi is a shopping center situated near Akashi station that provides easy access and plentiful underground parking. It offers a low-key community feel with discount stores, local services, and several Japanese restaurants. The mall has a modern ambiance with excellent curry options and service. Although there are various food choices available, most of them comprise Japanese cuisine. However, one can also find an Indian, Korean, and Taiwanese restaurant in the vicinity.

Takoyaki restaurant
Restaurant
During my recent adventure in Akashi, I made a delightful stop at Marumaru to indulge in the local specialty, Akashiyaki. This dish is a unique twist on the beloved takoyaki, featuring a fluffy texture thanks to its generous use of eggs and flour. The magic happens when you dip these soft morsels into a warm broth made from kelp or bonito—pure bliss!
Very tasty and friendly atmosphere

(Translated by Google) November 9, 2024 This day I went to Akashi. After all, when you come to Akashi, you can't help but try Akashiyaki, the specialty of Akashi. Akashiyaki is similar to Osaka's famous takoyaki, but it uses plenty of eggs and flour (compared to takoyaki), making it extremely soft, and it is eaten by dipping it in a broth made from kelp or bonito. This is an Akashi specialty that is similar to takoyaki but different! In the local area of Akashi, Akashiyaki is called ``tamagoyaki.'' So, I went to "Marumaru" on the 1st floor of "Papios Akashi" in front of Akashi Station ♪ Of course, I ordered "Whole Tamagoyaki (15 pieces)"♪ The hot and fluffy texture is unique to Akashiyaki! The soup stock is also delicious, and it's definitely the best when you dip the egg rolls in it! This is the deliciousness that can only be enjoyed with Akashiyaki♪ (Original)

(Translated by Google) It takes about a minute to walk from the south exit of JR Akashi Station. The shop is located on the first floor of Papios Akashi. I came here around 2:30pm on a weekday, and I was able to sit down without waiting. The shop has table seating, so it is easy to use for both singles and groups. When I entered the shop, the first thing that caught my eye was the slightly nostalgic chairs from an elementary school! I felt excited just sitting down. When I sat down, the tamagoyaki (known as akashiyaki nationwide) that was brought out was fluffy just by looking at it! When I put it in my mouth while it was still hot, the gentle taste of the egg spreads and it melts in my mouth. In particular, it is Akashi style to eat it with dipping it in the broth, and this broth is also the best! Furthermore, if you add mitsuba as a condiment, the fragrance will rise and enhance the flavor of the tamagoyaki even more! And the best thing to go with this tamagoyaki is the Akashi sai that I ordered at the same time! The fizzy bubbles and lightly sweetened taste went perfectly with the piping hot tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled egg). Sitting in a nostalgic chair and alternating between the warm tamagoyaki and the cold cider, you'll find yourself eating as many as you can♪ The menu includes a wide variety of tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled egg), as well as takoyaki (octopus balls) to compare the taste. I'd like to enjoy comparing the tastes when I come back to visit. You can pay by cash or PayPay. Akashi Castle Ruins, a 17th-century castle located in a park, offer an observation deck with stunning views of the city. Easily accessible by train from Kobe, the journey provides scenic views of the seaside and Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. The area is also known for its vibrant fish market on Uonotana Street. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque moat with swans, carps, and ducks before entering Akashi Park.
From the first glance, this castle looks very similar to the beautiful Himeji castle, which is not that far away, relatively speaking. It's missing the main central part, though, but it's still worth visiting. There are cats roaming around.
Marian P — Google review
A very well-kept, free-to-enter park, containing the remnants of two corner towers of the old castle, and some foundation blocks showing where the castle would have been. At a glance, one might have mistaken the towers as part of Himeji castle (which is a ways away from Akashi). The two towers can only be viewed from outside; there are no means to access their interiors. Ran into a friendly park caretaker who very kindly brought us around to see the highlights of the park, including two ponds frequented by water fowl, with one containing peddle boats visitors could use (perhaps in the summer?) The boated pond is also surrounded by trees that one of the park caretakers said would look magnificent in sakura season. A boardwalk with a view over the city that was formerly Akashi castle town runs between the two towers and can be accessed via steps as well as a ramped path. Water fowl aside, the park also seemed to be teaming with predator birds. Bonus: it seems some cats live there too (though I only saw the one). Not impossible for visitors with prams or minor mobility handicaps to explore the park, though they may have to give some paths (like the long stairs up to the base of first tower) a miss. Akashi park is much less crowded than Himeji—at least in winter; generally great for visitors seeking some peace and quiet amidst nature. Given its location, there are generally less alternative attractions/activities in its vicinity compared to Himeji castle. Nonetheless, the area is great for visitors seeking a casual walk away from the bustle of a city, particularly before noon.

We visited Akashi Castle Ruins Park by car, and while the parking lot was full, we only had to wait about 15–30 minutes to get in. I didn’t explore the whole park, but the highlight for me was the beautiful pond at the center. We found a peaceful spot under a sakura tree, facing the water—it was such a relaxing and serene view. What made it even more magical were the birds gracefully flying in sync over the glistening water. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as crowded as I expected, even during sakura season. Just a heads-up: if you’re planning to visit on a weekend or holiday, it might be better to come by public transport, as parking can get quite busy and might delay your entry.
Lloyd B — Google review
The castle ruins are really impressive. To see the two towers overlooking the city gives you a feeling of why this location was chosen. From atop the castle ruins one can also see the Akashi Bridge going to Awaji. Sadly there isn't much left from the castle so a short trip should be sufficient. But the castle park , like a maze, offers stunning views of nature
Carlotta M — Google review
Also known as Kiharu Castle, the Akashi Castle ruins have been protected as a National Historic Site since 1957. Although missing the main centre piece, the two yagura towers still stand today. Locared within the Akashi Park itself, its worth wandering around this historic site regardless of season or weather. You get a sense of calmness and serenity as you go back in time exploring this beautiful site.

Akashi Park is a vast 55-hectare park built around the ruins of Akashi Castle, offering a variety of attractions and activities. The park features ponds, sports fields, and stunning cherry blossoms during springtime. It is also home to the annual Akashi Park Cherry Festival, celebrating the beautiful cherry blossoms. The stone wall surrounding the pond serves as a symbol of the park's rich history.
Beautiful park visited during Sakura. There was a festival with music and vendors at the entrance. As you walked up to the Keep it because quiet and peaceful with wooded areas. There is a quiet pond with woods along 3 sides. The main pond was surrounded by cherry blossom trees. Local families were enjoying picnics under the trees.

Beautiful park in the north side of Akashi station. Sakura (cherry) blossom has just started and full blossom maybe expected within 3-4 days.

The biggest park I've visited in Hyogo. There are lots of activities you can do here. Boating, walking, watching games, playing, etc. Also, you can find many restaurants and toilets in the surrounding. Has ample parking space. Everyone will enjoy here in the park from kids to adults. This is a family friendly area. Very near to Akashi Station. This park has a very good spot for cherry blossom. We had our pre wedding shoot here. Such a very nice place. These photos were taken during Autumn Season.

Awesome local park bustling with activities. Families with toddlers, kids playing soccer, random people feeding birds and fowls. The last one is a sight to behold as flocks of birds doing a "migration" to their source of food at random point surrounding the large lake. There are plenty of quiet spots in this park too.

Nicest place of all. Much spacious. A larger area. And not over crowded. You can have a walk with your dogs, there's a coffee shop inside. And a picnic safe place. There are two lakes inside. And fish, pigeons, cranes, birds, tortoise are there. If you need a quiet evening, you can sit by a lake and enjoy.

(Translated by Google) I remember being told that Hitomaro is a variant of Hitomaro. This shrine is located behind the Astronomical Science Museum. Its enshrined deity is Kakinomoto no Hitomaro. He is said to be the leading poet of Japan's oldest collection of poems, the Manyoshu. Along with Yamabe no Akahito, he is known as a poetic saint. He is worshipped as the god of poetry and, by extension, the god of scholarship and literature. Formerly a prefectural shrine, it was once called "Hitomaru Shrine." Access is about 200m north from Sanyo Electric Railway's Hitomarmae Station. Climb about 70 steps. By car, there's a side road a little further ahead that leads directly to the shrine. However, parking is limited and the road is narrow and winding, so be careful. Because the enshrined deity is said to be a poetic saint, I remember being told that singers (especially enka singers) often visit the shrine. Also, compared to the shrine's size, there seem to be a lot of votive plaques offered. Because it's located on high ground, the views of the Akashi Strait to the south and downtown Akashi are excellent. That alone makes it worth visiting. If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience in Kansai, look no further than Akashi Shio-Gensui. This popular ramen spot fills up quickly, especially on weekends, so arriving early is a smart move. Families will find it welcoming and accommodating. The highlight here is undoubtedly their natural salt ramen, which strikes the perfect balance of flavor with just a hint of yuzu—though you can opt out if that's not your thing.

(Translated by Google) Visited for dinner on Saturday. I had booked the Akashiura course for 8,800 yen. The menu included appetizers, flathead sashimi, sea bream, mackerel, red sea bream, octopus, sword tip squid, teriyaki mackerel, small hot pot, 5 pieces of sushi, red soup stock, and dessert. As for the fish, I enjoyed the freshness of the fish, mainly the maemon. There is a fish tank in front of the shop, so the freshness of the fish is extremely high and you can enjoy delicious seasonal fish. The octopus, which is now in season, was rich and delicious. Payment can be made by cash or credit card. Good place for course menu and fish lovers. We went with overseas client from America, where they seems to unlike the dry raw fish. But for Japanese people, I think it is best place for Akashi region fish, and tako Taste !! Unfortunately, we did not clicked more photos.

(Translated by Google) Ruined by customer service Akashi's sushi is definitely delicious! Looking forward to local food, I made a reservation through Tabelog and visited. Walk for about 20 minutes from the station to a store in a residential area. There were three families at the counter who seemed to be regulars. I was also guided to the counter, and since I had reserved ``Akashiura Zukushi,'' that was served to me. sushi served Akashi sea bream Shingochi Squid Filefish Densuke conger eel Striped horse mackerel Steamed conger eel (+red soup stock) Each piece of sushi was placed on a plate with a simple explanation. All of the toppings were fresh and seasoned with salt and ponzu sauce, not soy sauce. Delicious sushi is made with delicious sushi rice! It must be a multiplication of multiple factors such as how to cook and how to hold it (lol) However, the interval between offers is quite long, and the next batch doesn't come easily... Even though you're waiting for your bite to eat, the chefs are talking with regulars who are finishing their meals and taking their orders. There is no conversation with me. I saw what looked like a handwritten a la carte menu, but it was not handed to me. I was advised to order more, so I ordered the grilled conger eel, which I was interested in, but although it was crispy and fragrant, it wasn't fluffy and gave me a normal impression. When I entered the store, they didn't ask me, ``Are you a customer with a reservation?'' They just looked at me. I think the impression of a store changes greatly due to differences in customer service. To be honest, I felt awkward and spent a long time waiting while fiddling with my smartphone. There are still many highly rated sushi restaurants in Akashi, and it's far from the station, so I might not be able to visit again. Although it was delicious, I thought it would have been nice if they could have handled it a little more flatly.

The sweet and spicy octopus was also GOOD! It's a shame there wasn't much to eat of the sea bream bones. I was looking forward to the final sushi, but... You shouldn't eat tuna or shellfish in Akashi. I'll stick with sea bream and octopus after all. I was even concerned about the taste of the vinegared rice, so I'd like to think that the chef wasn't feeling well that day. Day 4

Keep it simple
For day 4, these 3 places should be enough to fill your day with something exciting to do in Akashi. Start the day with Tetsujin 28 (Gigantor) Monument and make your way through the city to get to Ōkura Beach. This should take about 7 hours of your day.

The giant Gigantor (Tetsujin 28 Monument) in Wakamatsu Park commemorates Kobe's recovery after a 1995 earthquake. It is a large, impressive robot that was used during the collapse of an earthquake in Kobe. This robot reminds the community of the dark but strong period of Kobe's history.
The Tetsujin 28 Monument in Kobe is a must-see for anime and manga fans! Standing at 18 meters tall, this towering statue of the classic robot hero (known as Gigantor in the West) celebrates Kobe’s cultural heritage and resilience. Located in Wakamatsu Park, the monument creates a fun and nostalgic atmosphere, perfect for photos and enjoying local street performances. The surrounding area offers cafés and shops, making it a great spot to relax and soak in Kobe’s charm. A unique and exciting landmark that brings childhood memories to life – a must-visit for anime lovers and families!

This was an unexpected find during my visit to Kobe. I never thought Kobe had something like this! The giant robot adds a playful and futuristic touch to the city. It’s a fun and energizing sight. Worth a quick visit if you’re in the area — a nice photo spot too!

20250324 Tetsujin 28 was on the cover in every tour guidebook of Kansai since the 90s. In 1996 I asked my tour guide if I could go there unsuccessfully. It took 29 years for me to have a chance to visit it ^^" repainted recently and it looks great!

I visited this place in 2017, but I didn't take enough pictures. There was something going on during that time as there were many food stalls being set up. I was finally able to return and take more pictures and video of Tetsujin 28 and on a nice day! Many people around and the statue was great to see again!

Taisanji Temple, a Tendai Buddhist temple, is renowned for its main hall constructed in 1293 and the stunning cherry blossoms and autumn foliage that adorn its surroundings. The temple was established by Chief Priest Joe in 716 as part of the Tendai Buddhist Sect. Once a large complex with 41 abbeys during the Kamakura period, it now retains only five.
Peaceful hillside spot with zero crowds when we visited. Small grounds but beautifully kept. A vivid red bridge over a rocky stream, a short torii path, and a pagoda framed by the mountains. Lovely in late afternoon light for quiet photos. Entry was ¥300 per person, cash only; you leave shoes by the hall.

(Translated by Google) [Taisanji Temple] October 27, 2024 (Sun) The main hall of this temple is the only structure in Kobe City designated as a National Treasure. The Niomon Gate is an Important Cultural Property, and the three-story pagoda is also designated as a Prefectural Cultural Property. The location is a little tricky. If you navigate using your car navigation system, you'll probably end up at a dead end (lol). While driving along Prefectural Route 16 (Akashi-Kobe-Takarazuka Line), you'll find a sign for Taisanji Temple (which is easy to miss). If you turn down that narrow road, you'll come to a cobblestone road (the approach to the temple). You'll see the Niomon Gate on your right, so turn left and follow the road. On your left, you'll see a wooden sign that says "Taisanji Parking Lot." Park your car in the dirt parking lot and it's only a short walk away. Alternatively, there is a Shinki Bus stop (Taisanji Temple) and a rotary right near the Taisanji Temple sign. Behind the rotary is the Niomon Gate, and the stone-paved path (approach) starts behind the Niomon Gate, so you can also get there by car from there. There are about 30 stone steps in front of the Chumon Gate. After climbing them and entering through the Chumon Gate, there is a reception desk on the left where you pay the 300 yen entrance fee (admission fee) to enter. Directly ahead is the majestically situated Main Hall, a National Treasure, and you can enter after taking off your shoes. As you enter, to the right is the statue of Binzuru Sonja, which is said to rub one's bad parts, and I rubbed the statue's waist and knees. There are also other buildings such as the Amida Hall, Goma Hall, Shaka Hall, and Arhat Hall, but only the Main Hall is open to the public. The seated Amida Buddha statue in the Amida Hall is said to be almost the same size (approximately 2.74m) and style as the one created by Jocho in the Phoenix Hall of Byodoin Temple. (Photo included) You can ring the bell tower by placing an offering. The Taishanji River flows next to the temple, and crossing the red Akai Bridge leads to the Jizo Hall and Inari Shrine. However, please be careful as the ground is uneven and full of large stones. You can get a goshuin stamp at the reception desk where you pay the mountain entrance fee, so it's best to leave your goshuin book there before entering the temple. There are about six types of standard-sized handwritten goshuin stamps, and a list is available at the reception desk. The stone-paved approach to the temple is also home to the stylish café "Taishanji Coffee Roastery" (parking available), which is also part of the "sunrise hiking course," making it a great place to take a break. There are also Taisanji Temple's gardens (An'yo-in and Joju-in) on the approach to the temple, but they are usually closed to the public. Near the Niomon Gate is also the Yu-Moa Resort Kobe Taisanji Onsen Nadeshiko no Yu. There are trees and flowers that change with the seasons, so I would like to visit again in a different season.

It features a children's playground and fascinating tide pools, providing additional entertainment options for families. The beach boasts stunning views of the cityscape and is particularly appealing during the summer months when visitors can relish its monitored and family-friendly atmosphere. Conveniently located near the train station, it offers easy access to parking facilities and even accommodates barbecue activities.
It was a nice beach and wide where you can enjoy do any outdoor sports event and do bbq, camping. Jogging and etc.The place was very convenient because it was in the other side of the train station. if you’re like me where you’ve lived in a place with beautiful and clear seas with clean, white sand then don’t hold your breath cause it’s the opposite here. As in, theres like random objects on the shore, trash just spread out, not that it’s a trash island but just enough that it’s just plain ugly. The murky sand doesn’t help either along with jagged rocks. Mother Nature must’ve gotten lazy when designing Japan’s beaches because the amount of underwhelming beaches I’ve seen from here to Tokyo is staggering but I guess Japan can’t win it all.

This is a great place to visit, especially during the summer months. The beach is monitored and mainly family oriented. The train station is nearby, parking, barbecue, among other things. I was shocked to find that the minced meat cutlet set meal (or was it hamburger cutlet?) that I was counting on was no longer available.

(Translated by Google) This popular udon restaurant is close to my house. I'd never been there before, so I decided to stop by for lunch. It was late afternoon on a Saturday, so it was empty, but a few items were out of stock. I ordered the Chicken and Egg Bukkake Udon (large, 500g). The udon takes about 15 minutes to boil after you order, but the noodles are chewy and, at 500g, very filling. I was very satisfied. The tempura, three pieces of chicken tempura and egg tempura, were served on separate small plates along with the udon. The chicken tempura itself was seasoned and delicious either on its own or with the udon. Since it wasn't on top of the udon, it stayed crispy until the very end. The egg tempura, a soft-boiled egg tempura, was also very tasty. Established in 2010, this popular restaurant is beloved by locals and is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. ✨ I had some business in Akashi, so I decided to stop by for the first time in a while. I thought I'd only been there for a short while, but looking back, I realized it'd been 10 years since my last visit. 💦 Since my Kansai Sanuki Udon Pilgrimage, There's also a convenient parking lot next to the restaurant. ✨ The restaurant offers counter and table seating. Luckily, I was able to find an open table and scrutinize the menu. Here's what I ordered: 👋 "Chicken and Egg Tempura Bukkake" 980 yen Since the udon is boiled after the order is placed, it takes about 15 minutes for it to be served. The regular udon noodles were a whopping 450g! ️ By the way, the large portion (up to 500g) is the same price, which is very generous. 🥰 Tempura flakes, green onions, and sliced lemon are placed on top of the udon, but the tempura is served on a separate plate. As you can see from the comparison with the egg tempura, the chicken tempura is massive in size. 😳 There are three of them, so combined with the udon, it's quite a portion. Let's get started! ️ The firm noodles have a firm texture and a sweet wheat flavor that's hard to imagine from their chunky appearance. It pairs perfectly with the flavorful broth! 😍 The chicken tempura is made with chicken thighs, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly fried to perfection, retaining its fragrant aroma even when dipped in broth. 😋✨✨ The egg tempura pairs perfectly with the dish, leaving you feeling full and satisfied. By the time I finished, I was stuffed to the brim. 😊 This delicious udon is packed with flavor, volume, and value for money. Be sure to give it a try! ️ As I was leaving, I said hello to the owner, "It's been a while!" 😊 He seemed healthy, which was a relief. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I sat at the counter without waiting. However, it was full by the time I was there. Toritamaten Udon 980 yen The dough is made in the store and is cut and boiled as needed, so it takes almost 20 minutes from ordering to serving. I don't recommend it for people who don't have much time. I was very satisfied with 3 chicken tempura and 1 egg tempura. The udon was thick and chewy, and even though it was thick, the broth was well mixed with it and you could taste the wheat flavor, it was very delicious. The broth was a strong bonito broth. I also liked this! The owner was kind to both customers and employees. The wait staff were also happy to explain in detail even if I asked a question. The restaurant was small and there were some disappointing points such as the comfort of the chairs and the air conditioning, but the food and service were so good that I didn't mind. I don't live nearby so I can't come here often, but if I get the chance I'll definitely stop by again. As you'd expect from a popular restaurant, we were very satisfied with the portion size and firmness.

It was around 2pm on a weekday, and there were about five people there who looked like office workers. The udon was the ultimate handmade udon, with a chewy texture, almost too chewy! The chicken tempura was also delicious!
