Mihama American Village is a vibrant outdoor shopping and entertainment hub that captures the essence of the West Coast of the United States right in Okinawa. Established in 1998, this expansive complex spans an area comparable to five Tokyo Domes and features over 130 diverse shops, restaurants, and attractions. The iconic Ferris wheel serves as a landmark for visitors exploring Depot Island, where you can find everything from trendy clothing to unique imported goods at American Depot.
Tourists from all countries enjoy AV. Great beach and atmosphere. Family-friendly, food and dessert options. A ton of shops to peruse. Great vibe. Upbeat areas, calm areas. Something for everyone. And the sunsets are spectacular!

We loved the American Village, and wish we had stayed there. We traveled approx 30 mins, 3 nights in a row. The village had a great vibe, with lots of people, a beach, beach paths, lots of shops, and (most importantly for us) many many restaurants, food trucks etc, many that catered for gluten free/coeliac/celiac dietary needs. The lights, brightly coloured buildings and fireworks were beautiful. The American Village had the energy we craved, whilst staying at a very remote, and rule-filled resort. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

A fun and lively place with a unique mix of Japanese and American vibes. Lots of restaurants, shops, and lights — especially beautiful in the evening. It feels modern and a bit artificial, but still charming in its own way. Perfect for a walk, taking photos, and enjoying the seaside atmosphere. Not really a place for deep culture, but great for entertainment and good energy.

Love all about here so much. Great memory with this place, so colorful amd look very lifely vibe. All shops, cafe and resturants look very nice. Pork Tamako amd Blue Seal ice cream are so good. And I do love Zhuvago cafe a lot, Tramisu amd coffee there were very delicious. Tones of sourvinors there with very good price. And I do love a shop with Christmas Ornaments. I visited there in the morning with less people.

As the name is stating, it’s like you are in Hawaii and Las Vegas combined. Thus, If you enjoy the American vipe, you will feel it there. Many US people are living there and you will see them around. Very nice shows and great food. Eat from the restaurant that are open inside the market, they are delicious. The beach are fun, my kids enjoyed it. But try not to go on the weekend as it will be crowded with teenagers.

The American Village in Okinawa is an absolute favorite spot! 🌅 The atmosphere is unique – a perfect blend of Japanese calm and American style. There are plenty of great restaurants, cafés, and shops, and the sunset by the sea is simply breathtaking. Especially in the evening, when everything lights up in vibrant colors, the vibe is amazing. Everything is clean, modern, and beautifully designed. Highly recommended – definitely five stars!

We visited American Village on a Saturday evening and absolutely loved it. The place is so lively and full of happy vibes. The buildings really give off a true American feel. This is one of the main reasons I would love to come back to Okinawa!

Interesting place. Nice promenade and beach, mall and lot of different shops and restaurants and it's all really close to each other. Time to time there is a military airplane flying around as it's very close to the airport. But definitely worth a visit

Shinto shrine

Nestled in the heart of Okinawa, Futenma Shrine is a captivating Shinto shrine that draws both locals and travelers alike. This serene spot not only offers a glimpse into traditional Japanese spirituality but also features an intriguing cave adorned with stunning stalactites. Visitors can embark on guided tours of the cave, which depart every 20 minutes; just remember to sign up beforehand at the designated area.
This is one of the most beautiful shrines in Okinawa and I highly recommend exploring it. Here besides praying you can also visit a small cave with another altar that is meant for the two Kami (Gods) that reside in the grounds. You only need to tell the nuns at the counter and they will add you to a list and show you the cave for free. It does not have lots of room to explore, but the altar is impressive and so are the stalactites and stalagmites in the cave. No pictures are allowed in the cave. Free parking available
Juan H — Google review
The cave shrine is really cool, very small but magnificent in its appeal. If you want to see the cave shrine you must the staff in the administration window and they'll ask you to wait in the room through the sliding door right next to the administration window. Write your name, country of origin and number of people in your group in the ledger to the left. The time for the next viewing & offering will be next to the ledger. The main worship room/hall is regularly performing blessings and worship so please be quiet when looking around the place.

Too early for closing the Underground Shrine at 5 pm. Very hard to get a parking place ! Very crowded to buy Amulet. Too many people here
DreamInfinite — Google review
Futenma shrine, a popular shrine in Futenma area of the Okinawa, with lots of visitors in weekend. It was believed to be built around in 1440 to 1450, in the Ryukyu kingdom period. It is possible that it is one of the oldest Shinto Shrines in Okinawa, and visitors may see its history from its old wooden building structure. Most visitors and worshippers would worship at above-ground Shinto shrine, but it also has underground cave which also has worship shrine/hall. Visitors can make on-site applications for entering the under-ground worship shrine, and Shrine's clergy would lead visitors or worshippers to underground cave every 20 minutes. It appears that, in winter season, the under-ground visit is generally limited to the morning hours. The Shrine does hold new year celebration and other religious festivals which are also helpful for the Shrine's financing, in addition to funding from having baby photos and other kid growing celebration to be held in Shrine. Although shrine has two parking spots, they are often fully occupied in holiday and in weekend.

Jan2025: I had to park on side of the road and walk up. The line to get in was long. Aug2024 visit: sad to see their year of the dragon painting wasn't up. Still a beautiful shrine to visit. Lovely shrine to bring in the new year make a wish. Parking is available. Has a bathroom.
Yuuki A — Google review
A beautiful experience, wonderful to see such preserved history. Many worship ceremonies took place as we walked around. Do the cave tour, you will not be disappointed!
Jamie S — Google review
I went here on a weekday, but there were fair number of worshippers. You need to apply to visit the caves. Every few minutes, the staff takes you there. There is no charge for this service. Photography inside the cave is not permitted . There is a large parking space at the back. You can drive from the side of the Torii.
Winston T — Google review
Neat shrine with a cave that is free to visit. The sign-up sheet for the cave tour is in a room on the other side of the sign that tells you that signing up is required (look to your right to see the sliding door). Tours are supposed to leave every 20 minutes. Parking is free and to the right of the shrine up a narrow road. Multiple tiers are available so there should be space. There is no cost to the shrine or the cave. No photos allowed in the cave - please be respectful. I appreciate that you can walk along the cave, inches from stalagmites, and not see any initials carved into them or other defacement.

Ginowan Seaside Park is a vibrant beachfront destination that offers a delightful mix of recreational activities and scenic beauty. Nestled along the west coast of Ginowan, this park features expansive multi-use fields perfect for soccer or kite flying, as well as wide pathways ideal for biking with family. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls while admiring various art installations scattered throughout the area, including a quirky Pokémon manhole cover that adds a fun touch.
Food flea market! This was super awesome and great vibes. The day was ratherhot bit many trees for shade. Id go back to the park just to lax and chill.

If you're planning to go - early bird gets the worm! We arrived around 4PM and seemed missing out on most of the fun stuff. Most gacha machines were already sold out too! They had a merchandise booth set up, but wish we'd come earlier to catch all the events. Definitely recommend getting there in the morning if you're a serious fan!

Small man-made beach with coarse sand and clear, beautiful water. Was there barely half hour when the Emergency alert sounded for tsunami. Nevertheless, it was blazing hot with the summer heat. Not a beach lover so ain’t my favourite go-to place.
Ethel G — Google review
During our recent visit to Ginowan Seaside Park in Okinawa, we had an unforgettable experience with our girls, especially our one-year-old daughter. The park, known for its beachfront setting, multi-use field, exercise equipment, and scenic paths, truly comes alive in the summertime. We chose to go during twilight, which proved to be an excellent decision. The cooler evening air made it comfortable for a walk, and the sunset over the ocean created a beautiful backdrop. Despite the number of people present, the atmosphere was remarkably peaceful, allowing us to enjoy our family time without feeling overcrowded. Our one-year-old daughter had a blast exploring the park. Watching her take her tiny steps along the well-maintained paths, her joy was infectious. The expansive grassy areas provided plenty of space for her to roam freely, and she was delighted by the gentle breeze and the sound of the waves crashing nearby. The park's facilities were also impressive. The exercise equipment and multi-use fields were well-maintained and popular among visitors. It was nice to see a diverse mix of people engaging in various activities, from jogging to playing sports, all while respecting each other's space. Overall, Ginowan Seaside Park offered the perfect blend of nature and recreation, making it an ideal spot for families, especially with young children. We left with a sense of contentment, having spent quality time together in such a picturesque and serene environment. We highly recommend this park to anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and enjoyable outing in Okinawa.

Eh. Tourist spot. I’m naturally more drawn to Onna, Nago NORTH side! But here we are! Not too bad! Lifeguards on duty. Busy summer days for sure! We would naturally avoid spots like this but we didn’t want to go too far.

Great park to bring the kids. Large fields for playing soccer or flying a kite. Wide pathways for riding bicycles with the little ones. Tropical beach is next to the park so you can cool off in the ocean. Public restrooms available and vending machines located throughout the park. Plenty of parking depending on the time of day and year.
Joshua J — Google review
Great park for various activities! Connected to a beach too! Enjoyed walking around and checking out the various art works in the park. There is a pokemon manhole cover in the park. Lots of various trails to get a good exercise in! Plenty of parking and vending machines. Has public bathrooms. There might be a fee when everything is open... with the State of Emergency everything is technically closed.

King Tacos is a charming little eatery that boasts a nostalgic vibe with its retro decor and convenient takeout window. Renowned for serving some of the best taco rice in Okinawa, this tiny spot offers generous portions at incredibly affordable prices. The taco rice is generously topped with cheese, making it a standout dish that keeps patrons coming back for more. While the seating is limited to just three tables, the efficient and friendly staff ensure quick service, especially during busy lunch hours.
Hands down the best taco rice in Okinawa. The price is amazingly cheap, especially considering the amount of food. They load the tacorice with cheese, much more than any other restaurant does. And they've got great cheeseburgers to top it off. The place is small (only 3 tables for 4) but it's worth it! You can take out also. Years later this still holds the title of KING tacos.

Classic Okinawa’s Tacos and Taco Rice This is one of the old school places, which is on the market for a long time. Very tasty food, efficient and friendly stuff makes sure that the waiting time is not too long. But lunch times can be busy and few tables inside are almost always full.

Only a limited number of seats, but service was quick and efficient. Avoid peak times. Of course, as with all King Tacos we've tried, this place is no exception to the delicious Taco Rice we've come to expect from the chain. One amazing bite and you'll be addicted.

This charming restaurant offers a diverse menu that caters to various tastes, featuring dishes like honey bacon pizza and shrimp oysters that perfectly balance sweet and savory flavors. The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by stunning views of the ocean and marina, making it an ideal spot for sunset watching from their terrace. Even on rainy days, the chef goes above and beyond with exquisite multi-course meals.
Great interesting menu. Ordered lots of small dishes to share. All were excellent. Friendly chef. Highly recommended

It was a rainy day and I was the only visitor, but the chef cooked 7 course dinner nevertheless. Ajillo & seafood paella were especially good!

Little gem. Get here before sunset so watch on the terrace. Have the the shrimp oysters which are delicious. Ambience is wonderful

Tried to charge us a table charge we had 2 beers and the table charge was more than the beers. Tried to order from the menus but most dishes were not available. Refused to pay the table charge as we visited this restaurant two night previous with no table charge. Needless to say I refused to pay this outrageous table charge. Maybe it was because we were tourists. Would give it a minis 2 star if I could.

Esparza's Tacos and Coffee is a beloved taco spot on the island with a unique vibe and charming decor. The restaurant offers vegan options, catering to those with dietary sensitivities. The portion sizes are generous, and the soup is highly recommended. The establishment prides itself on simplicity and healthiness, making it a great choice for clean eating.
GREAT tacos if you need a little reminder of Mexican food in Japan. I had the Beef steak tacos and the chicken tacos and both were amazing. The beef was very flavorful and the chicken was great and had a hint of curry in it. Definitely a place to go back to. Also had a mocha latte and that was really good!

I've always noticed this cozy little spot and finally decided to stop in. There was a small group playing live music, which added a nice touch, but unfortunately, I had to sit outside since they had a reserved event going on inside. Thankfully, the weather was cool and relaxing, so it wasn’t too bad. When I went to order, they were out of a few types of taco meat, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, I placed my order and headed to the patio. The food came out quickly and was tasty, and the caramel macchiato I had was absolutely delicious. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because of the limited food options and not being able to enjoy the live music fully. But overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I’ll definitely be back to try it again when things are less busy.

Had lunch here with family and ordered tacos, nachos quesadilla, ginger ale, cookies, and meat rice bowl. They have free Mexican soup and free salsa bar, which is nice. For the tacos, I recommend the pulled pork. The beef steak quesadilla is remarkable. The portions are OK and their menu is varied and affordable. The cookies were delicious. Also, I like how they have healthy ingredients. The atmosphere is rustic perfect for casual hanging out and dining.

A must-try! This taco shop puts a creative Japanese twist on a classic favorite, and the flavors are incredible. Fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced seasonings, and a menu with great gluten-free options make it a standout. Every bite is unique and delicious—I’ll definitely be coming back.
Tremon J — Google review
It was okay but I think 500yen for a big cookie is a lot. The single taco was 600 yen. I forgot to ask for a corn shell taco and was given a plain shell. I think all the stuff members are able to speak in English. The jackfruit taco was interesting. I wanted some sour cream or something else. The soup was like watered down salsa but I guess it wasn't bad. The dirty chai coffee was not bad at the shop but I'm just not a fan of dirty chai. The water is self-service and free. There is free Wi-Fi and the sofas look comfortable.
B B — Google review
A local legendary spot, this is a place known for its Vegan Mexican food, but it serves many non-Vegan foods as well! The Atmosphere is cozy and warm, has a fun design, and good music. Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy high quality Mexican food while getting that “coffee shop vibe”. They are most famous for their Tacos. The tortillas are flour based, incredibly soft and airy—they have a handmade and fire heated quality to them. Light, floury on the outside, but sturdy with a delicious soft chew within the airy texture. The chorizo is shredded tofu, but has the same taste and consistency as regular chorizo, but with none of the fatty oil/grease that normal chorizo has! Salsa’s are completely solid and authentic—feels like you’re back in your local Tacoria in the states The “vegan” tacos are actually quite amazing and refreshing. They honestly taste like normal tacos, and don’t feel pretentious or overly fake. I would not be able to tell that these were “vegan” on a blind taste test. While you pay closer to US prices for each Taco, the quality of preparation and of taste more than satisfies the cost! Overall an incredibly delicious experience, and worth a visit!

Food was good , and the right amount of kick with the sauces available tried the steak burrito which definitely hit the spot with the super crispy but soft flower tortilla. The bowl was a bit of a let down due to serving size even though I ordered double meat felt really small but definitely good flavors.

I made a reservation on Friday evening for Saturday night, but I was able to get one without any problems. The private rooms were all booked, though. I wasn't expecting much, but when I went, I was impressed by the way the seats were laid out a little far apart, even though they weren't private rooms, the atmosphere was nice, and the menu had the name and message of the person who made the reservation, as well as recommended dishes, so it was great and hospitable! Because it wasn't a private room, it was a little noisy, but it wasn't so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation, and was within the acceptable range. The restaurant is located off the main road, but I would recommend it! Karen A — Google review
Streets are so beautiful here. You really get the feeling of old traditional Okinawa. Downside side is the shops are all about same and aimed for tourist who want to buy pottery. Not all come from Okinawa so ask shop keeper before buying. Bought some nice gift here though so all in all pretty happy I went here.
M V — Google review
the shops are small but they have unique and beautifully made options of mugs, bowls, dishes and some decorative items. a great place to go for supporting the local artists, and for buying special and delicate gifts.
Fernanda D — Google review
Wonderful and enjoyable spot to visit if you love pottery. You can spend more than an hour or so just viewing the different pottery shops. There are a variety of styles ranging from cute and modern to more traditional designs and glazing techniques.

Came for the festival and most stores had items at 20% off! It's a small street with a lot of shops and cafes. I thought the ceramics sold here were unique and not items I have seen in every place! I really loved how each shop carried their style.

Makishi Public Market, located in Naha's Makishi district, offers a glimpse into the historical Ryukyu Kingdom. This bustling marketplace in the Sakae-cho area is a central hub for fresh produce, meat, fish, and general merchandise. Visitors can immerse themselves in Okinawan everyday life by exploring the market and interacting with friendly merchants.
This market is enormous! If you want to explore Okinawa, I believe you should spend a day walking around here. There is just so much there and lots of great little spots to eat and drink.
Jason N — Google review
It’s a tourist trap. A walk in the area and you will not find locals doing their marketing. There are 2 floors with small restaurants above selling seafood or mostly cooking the seafood for you when u bought it downstairs. Because it’s a tourist place, they have English and Chinese speaking staff at the eateries. It’s basically a seafood and premium beef market with some dry goods/ side dish stalls. Mostly priced higher than their local supermarkets. Each stall had some arrangements with the eateries upstairs. The seafood is mostly overpriced but very fresh. Depending on where you come from, it may be deemed cheap for you due to the exchange rate. Unlike some tourists around me having big prawns, lobsters and crabs, we opted for a simple and very satisfying meal.
Cow R — Google review
May 2025. Mainly seafood market with restaurants on the upper area where you can have your seafood cooked the way your heart desires. This is obviously a touristic place but we enjoyed it. This is actually not a very big market as we thought but there was a lot of choices of fresh fishes and sea creatures, as well as some others Okinawa specialities.
J — Google review
It was amazing to try the special seafood in Okinawa! We tried coconut crab (椰子蟹), Tridacna (陣渠), great green turban shell (夜光貝), and parrotfish (鸚哥魚). The one of fish workers is from china, he can introduce the fresh seafood and suggest cooking methods to you in mandarin. He will also take you to a restaurant to enjoy the fresh seafood after you make your purchase. You can choose the cooking method, such as half sashimi and half fried/deep-fried! All the seafood was my first time to try!! I didn't expect the coconut crab to have so much crab fat and the green turban shell was very sweet.

Nice place for local vibe. But prices are tourist standards. Almost same as tokyo's tsukuji market area. But worth to visit once if happen to be in the area,as the seafood is really fresh.
Gerald N — Google review
Our lunch experience at Makishi Public Market was one to remember. We kicked things off on the first floor, picking out fresh seafood right from the local stalls — everything from vibrant cuts of sashimi-grade fish to a whole sea bream that caught our eye. The vendors were warm and welcoming, making the selection process easy and enjoyable. We brought our ingredients up to the second level where the real magic happened. The chefs there turned our picks into a delicious spread. The fresh sashimi was clean, sweet, and beautifully plated — every slice a bite of the ocean. We also had stir-fried bitter gourd with spam, a local Okinawan favourite. The bitterness was mellow and balanced well by the savoury spam. A comforting dish, especially with rice. Another standout was the prawns with eggs — silky and rich, yet not overly heavy. But the showstopper was definitely the sea bream. Cooked Chinese-style — deep-fried to a crispy golden crust and then finished with soy sauce — it was both flavourful and aromatic. Eating upstairs with our custom meal, we really felt immersed in Okinawan food culture. Fresh, interactive, and full of flavour — this was not just a meal, but an experience.
Crumpled N — Google review
This place was truly amazing! We arrived hopeful and excited about eating here, and we were rewarded with spectacular food, friendly staff who spoke multiple languages, the cleanest fish market I’ve ever been in and so much more. We ordered a lot, since we were really hungry. We had lobster, fish, abalone, sea urchin and oyster sashimi. It was so good, we ate the whole thing and still wanted more. It was bursting with flavour, and the texture varied, sometimes crunchy and sometimes smooth. We ordered cooked fish and lobster porridge too, and it was really, really, really fresh and sweet. We ordered juice and beer, and both were splendid too! If looking for an authentic and cultural experience, I would definitely recommend.
Emma L — Google review
It is not a big market but sufficient for a city. The variety and selection are not very wide, but they have the usual. One can buy the raw ingredients and seafood from the ground floor, and then the seller will send up to the kitchen that you have selected to prepare the food for you.

The Okinawa Convention Centre is a versatile venue that hosts a variety of events, including car shows and fine arts exhibitions. The surrounding area features new buildings and recreational facilities such as the Mega Don Quijote and the popular San-A Convention City shopping centers. The convention center itself offers a range of activities throughout the year. Additionally, the large park provides ample space for outdoor activities like walking, running, or picnicking, while the adjacent beach is perfect for enjoying the summer sun.
Thank You Ginowan Convention Center for allowing the Kadena High School graduating Class of 2024 to host a spectacular Graduation Ceremony and Celebration. The staff were so professional and helpful. The facilities had ample seats, beautiful acoustics and perfect lighting. It was a beautiful place to host this special rites of passage for our military connected students.

Nature & Parks
Tropical Beach is a popular spot on the west coast of Ginowan, offering a sectioned swimming area, restroom facilities, and picnic spots. It's part of an area that includes Ginowan Kaihin Park, the Ginowan Marina, hotels like Laguna Garden Hotel and Moon Ocean Ginowan Hotel & Residence, as well as the Okinawa Convention Center. The beach is easily accessible from Route 58 and offers a wood cabin-style cafe with ample seating.
Clean beach with a great view! Free parking and good hours for swimming. There's a foot wash station nearby and showers for pay- 100 yen/3 min. The swimming area wasn't crowded and was a decent size with a gradual decline out. I'm not sure how deep it gets, but it's under 5" at least half way.
Alexis M — Google review
Nice little beach with soft sand. There’s an enclosed swimming area and lifeguards. Only drawback is that it isn’t too big so can get crowded easily. Also, the restrooms never have toilet paper so make sure you bring some if you think you might need it.
Miranda C — Google review
The beach is beautiful. I arrived at 4 PM, and it was a little crowded. The water was clear, but the swimming area wasn't very large. There were public toilets and rental lockers available (200 yen per use). Just remember to put all your belongings inside the locker before you close and lock it. Also, be sure to check the operating hours if you're coming here to swim. Also, The sunset was incredibly beautiful.
Ka C — Google review
I visited this beach on my last day in Okinawa before an evening flight, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Since I had to check out of my hotel at 11 a.m., I was looking for a spot close enough to reach by car or taxi, with showers and changing facilities so I could freshen up before heading to the airport. This beach checked all the boxes — cozy and not overcrowded, can rent umbrellas, clear blue water, clean sand, and all the basic amenities you’d want for a relaxed beach day. If you’re staying in Naha and want an easy, stress-free beach escape before traveling, this is an ideal option.
Genesis R — Google review
Here’s the English translation of your sentence: --- This beach is more suitable for people or tourists staying nearby who just need to cool off during Okinawa’s hot days. But if you have a car, I’d recommend going to Araha Beach, which is only about five kilometers away, or exploring some of the island’s more iconic beaches.
Dusan K — Google review
The white sand and the blue water make it a perfect spot to chill, alone or in groups. The benches make it even more convenient. The showers/toilets are a bit far though. Prepare 100¥ coins for the shower, if you don’t have change you can get it from the lifeguard office next to the showers.
Amr E — Google review
It's nice but again the feeling of overcontrol spoils a bit the vibe of being in a beach and nature. Megafons, many lifesavers and strict rules of the maximum time everyone needs to stop swimming, for us it was 5h30 pm. Showers are nice but make sure to bring 100 yen for a 3-minutes use, full 100 coin only, the machine can't take a sum of smaller ones.

Scenic spot
Araha Beach, located in Chatan Town, offers a picturesque coastline reminiscent of the western United States. The 600m-long artificial beach is ideal for various activities such as para-rings, banana boats, and glass-bottomed boat rides. While swimming is restricted to certain areas due to jellyfish nets, visitors can still enjoy the high transparency of the water.
Araha Beach is a fantastic spot for a relaxing day out! The beach is well-maintained, offering beautiful sandy shores and clear waters perfect for swimming or just soaking up the sun. The surrounding park area is equipped with convenient amenities, including picnic tables, playgrounds, and shaded areas, making it ideal for families and friends. There’s even a pirate ship playground that’s a big hit with kids! I loved the chill vibe and how it felt both lively and peaceful, especially during sunset when the sky turns into a canvas of vibrant colors. Parking is convenient, and there are plenty of nearby shops and food options to complete the day. Highly recommend visiting Araha Beach if you’re in Okinawa and looking for a spot to unwind by the ocean! 🌊🏖️

My family and I love this beach! We spend most of the summer there. Love the playground, the food that you can choose from. The parking isn’t the best or the most spacious but it’s a hit or miss sometimes. The pirate ship park is amazing and my kids love it. We always spend a good portion of the day here when we go out. It’s a great place to come and sit and enjoy the Oki vibes.

Decent beach, the swimming area is small like many other beach in Okinawa but its really clean. The lifeguard also very friendly and helpful. The facilities are in decent condition, there’s showers that you can pay 100 yen for and also toilet.

It can be a bit busy on payday weekends due to the heavy Miltary presence however, overall the vibe is very good not too rowdy families young locals, and American Miltary can all get along and have a good time at this beach. However, be advised that the swimming areas are knitted, and if you swim outside of the designated area, you will be warned by the lifeguards also generally speaking no snorkeling is allowed in the area at low tide. Divisibility can be quite murky and the water Sandy

The izakaya restaurant はなゆう offers a delightful dining experience with an array of mouthwatering dishes. Their menu features unique and authentic Okinawan cuisine, including goat sashimi, island shallots, sea grapes, and rafute. Alongside these delectable options, they also serve somen chanpuru and miso-simmered loofah. The restaurant is known for its friendly staff and the affordable prices make it accessible to all.
Honestly a wonderful spot. We were staying across the street ar Laguna Garden. Walked over. Was welcome and seated at the bar in front of the sea grapes. No English menu but using our Google lens tranlator it was very easy to order. Food was tasty. Drinks were great. Service and atmosphere were authentic to an izakaya and not a tourist trap. Would come again and recommend. Did not break the bank either.
James B — Google review
Lovely local izakaya with a good selection of drinks and mostly small tapas-stylr dishes. Most of the menu is in Japanese and the staff don't speak much English, so come equipped with some tools for translation or get ready to be surprised. The service was very slow and we had to search for a member of staff to get served, but they were nice and friendly once we found them. They only accept cash payments.
Tiina G — Google review
I was assisted by a young lady staff who could speak limited English and was friendly to take my orders. Food was alright and not mind blowing. Decided to return next evening to try their rafute and have ume wine, waited 5min at the counter for a staff to attend to me. An more senior female server who totally couldn't understand English came over with a mop and I pointed at the empty counter seat. She pointed to the wet floor and I waited while she mopped. Afterwards, she saw me waiting and waved me away. While I understood the seat may not be in the right condition, so I asked "Take Out". She waved her hand again as if to shoo me away and that she doesn't need my business. Wouldn't revisit this place again. Would have given no stars but for the staff who served me right first time, i decided to give 2 stars. Thanks to her poor attitude, I visited another Japanese restaurant nearby which served better food and service. So if you are in the area, walked further in and give other establishments a try.
Celine W — Google review

(Translated by Google) We went there while staying at Laguna Garden Hotel. It was a restaurant with 120% Okinawan feel. The Fuchanpuru was very delicious. The taste was mild and not too salty. It went well with Orion beer and awamori. Three of us ate and drank a variety of food and drinks and it cost just over 10,000 yen. It's a very cheap and delicious restaurant. A local “hidden” Izakaya that is obviously a local watering hole favorite! This is a place that fits the quintessential essence of a local bar—tight, intimate, and fresh fried food and beer readily available all the time. The staff is very friendly and are pretty responsive too. This place becomes packed during the evening, and is the local spot for commiserating and partying. The prices are incredibly reasonable and they have an English menu should you need it. The Karashiyaki is one of their best menu items—it has a great spicy kick (which can be hard to find in Japan)! All the food was good quality and fun to eat with your beer! Definitely a place to check out for the low key local vibe and the delicious “soul food”!

Steak house
Jack's Steak House is a historic dining spot in Okinawa, originating in 1953 during the American occupation. This restaurant has been influential in shaping the steakhouse culture on the island and beyond. It offers a variety of dishes including steaks with rice, fried chicken, and tacos at affordable prices. The establishment is adorned with postwar American memorabilia, adding to its enduring charm and appeal.
Stepping into Jack's Steakhouse Okinawa is like stepping back in time, with its classic American decor and bustling atmosphere. The legendary reputation is well-earned; we joined the lively crowd and waited about 30 minutes for a table at dinner, but it was time well spent. The beef was truly exceptional – tender, juicy, and packed with incredible flavor. While the beef was outstanding, the pork chop could use some improvement to match the high standard of the steak. Despite the busy setting, the staff remained remarkably attentive and friendly. If you're craving a truly great steak in Okinawa, this is the place.
PK S — Google review
Food is not as good as expected. The best-seller tenderloin is delicious, but not "WOW AMAZING" level. Also ordered taco rice, and new menu beef soup(?). For me personally, these 2 menu worth much more than the best seller menu.

Cash Only – Make Sure to Bring Cash! I noticed a long line behind my hotel every morning and wondered what it was for. It turns out, it was a very famous steak restaurant! There’s always a long queue before 11 a.m., but I went around 5 p.m. and was able to get a seat right away without waiting. I decided to try it after reading some reviews, and it did not disappoint — the steak was incredibly tender and flavorful. You can really taste the natural flavor of the beef. Personally, I’m not a big fan of wagyu, that's why i like this steak restaurant. this place is a must-try. I highly recommend eating it with just a sprinkle of black pepper, without any sauce. How it works: 1. Choose your cut and size (Small, Medium, or Large). 2. Choose how you want it cooked (Rare, Medium Rare, etc.). 3. Choose between rice or bread. They will serve soup and salad first ( you don't need to order that) When you sit down, they’ll give you a table number card — you’ll use that when paying at the register. The restaurant has been around since 1953, with a long and proud history. Highly recommended — just don’t go around 11 a.m. when it’s packed! Visit later in the afternoon for a much quieter .
Michelle — Google review
The steak is dry and hard. Do NOT order medium well(for both no. 1&2 type of steak), medium is just ok for type 2of the steak. Feel like we can cook much better than the one we had in the restaurant. The stir fried noodles is not good too. Too salty and the pork is hard. I would say, definitely NOT worth to try.
Casey C — Google review
I never knew that the waiting time to get into the restaurant is super long. I waited for an hour to be called in. But this place is worth waiting for. The steak was so soft, tender, juicy and tasty. The place was laid back. The atmosphere was good and lively, the staff were nice and accommodating and the service was great.
Ra R — Google review
A local resident recommended Jack’s and we loved it here. The steak is delicious and comes with just enough onions for each bite, salad and a delicious creamy soup. We went at 3pm and there wasn’t a wait but when we left there were people waiting outside to get in. The second time we went at 1:30pm and waited 40 minutes outside for a table. The tacos are really good too.
BLS — Google review
Wow. No wonder why there is always a queue! Real diner vibes. I got the tenderloin that was lively, asked for medium, got medium rare but was still good. Ask them to cook it a bit more! The chips were amazing, the spaghetti for the kids, amazing and the tacos! My standout was the cheeseburger! I’m getting an other before I leave Okinawa!

Miyagi Coast, stretching from the Miyagi coast to Araha Beach, offers a bustling shoreline with scenic ocean-view walks and charming cafes. The west coast of Chatan Town resembles the coastal towns of the United States. During the day, it's popular for activities like SUPing and diving, while at dusk, visitors can enjoy breathtaking sunsets. The area is dotted with cafes, burger shops, and stylish restaurants.
The sunset from Miyagi Sea Walk was phenomenal! It’s a perfect spot to take a slow walk or go for a running. - Public toilets are available (free) - No parking so people just park on the side of the road - There are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby

This place looks like a beach designed in minecraft. Another exhibit in Japan’s mission to encircle the entire country in concrete. Seems popular for surfing and diving. Not really a swimming place. The walkway above is nice for a walk or run. But there are better, more natural beaches in Okinawa if you are able to drive around.
Ann K — Google review
I'm not sure why this is referred to as "Miyagi Coast" this is the Sunabee Sea Wall. The walkway is approximately 12-15 foot wide, there are multiple concrete, open wall, roofed structures all along giving you a place to get out of the sun or rain. Excellent place to walk or job with a beautiful view of the ocean. Lots of small businesses all along. We went scuba diving the other day with Aloha Diving (highly recommend) and met at on of the covered stations. We've eaten at Bella Napolis a few times (also highly recommend) which is just one of the Excellent restaurants found here. If the weather is nice, forget about finding a parking spot on the wall. Low tide seems to be less crowded. Poor sea conditions (for snorkeling or suba) will be less corded as well. Beautiful place!

I, unfortunately did not, and at the lowest point of the designated swimming area the water only comes up about .1 - .2m making it virtually impossible to “swim”. At high tide it appears to be about 2m deep, however. They have chairs and umbrellas available to rent and it’s close to a spacious, free, parking lot.

Nice small public beach near the American village. The place is popular for bbq. There are toilets, showers (for 100yen)... Beach is clean. I woudn't spend there whole day but for 1-2 hours it is really nice and welcomed especially during the hot days. And you can watch the sunset here.;-)

It’s really worth the time to visit here, today’s weather is over our expectation, wayyy too good, so that we stayed more than 3 hrs lol! Lucky us:) Water was more clear yesterday, still pretty!!

Some chairs are available for sunbathing at the beach. It's quite hot to walk along the beach even in May. The beach is very close to American Village and bathing facilities are available. You can enjoy park and beach time together in one day.

Something for everyone. Relax, swim, beach sports and activities, rental access, free access, family fun, great food and shops, and spectacular sunsets.

I love this beach, except Annoying usa jet fighters are flying continuously over it very loudly all day long. I feel pity for Okinawa civilians. I could give this beach a 5-star if it was quiet. You can rent a beach chair and umbrella for 3000 yen. Toilet, shower and beverages are available. I will not visit this beach ever. Too loud to relax. These jet planes are really annoying.
午後 — Google review
It is located right next to the American Village. You just need to walk a little more. There is a place to play beach valley ball. Also, there was a barrier in the water where kids could play. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, I like Araha Beach more than this one.

Went to get Okinawa style soba and chicken set. Chicken set took 40 minutes to get, restaurant wasn't very busy, 3 other tables ordered after I had already placed my order for similar food and they got their first. When we had to leave as the busses are very infrequent, we got forced to wait and take it away rather than just cancel it. The set consists of shredded cabbage, plain rice and a chicken cutlet.

Noodle shop
Soba ya Gon is a local eatery in Okinawa that offers traditional and authentic Okinawa soba. Their Mix Soba in large size is the perfect portion of food, with tender and well-seasoned meat toppings. The soup, although slightly salty for some, is still enjoyable. This place caters to both locals and tourists, as it provides an English menu and has a mix of tatami style seating and tables.
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time, but the parking lot is usually full. I really loved how organized they are, and my soba came out very fast. The food is delicious! The Sakima Art Museum is a hidden gem for those who appreciate the rich tapestry of Okinawan history and art. Visitors often find themselves captivated by the vibrant exhibits that delve deep into local culture, with many spending far more time than anticipated exploring its treasures. The museum features striking paintings that poignantly reflect the region's tumultuous past, particularly through works like 'The Picture of the Battle of Okinawa.'
Beautiful yet unsettling paintings. I feel like it represents the horrors of war well. As for the museum itself: Friendly staff, cheap entry fee, clean inside, and to top it off - the opportunity to go on top of the building and enjoy a nice view of the island. The museum is fairly small so perfect if you just want to enjoy something interesting in a short time frame.

900¥ an adult. Higher cost for size compared to other museums. If you're into art than you will appreciate the art the same. Was a little surprised at the up charge. Their permanent collection of Battle of Okinawa was stunning. As one stands in the rooms and looks at the art is one thing & as you look at each piece up close is humbling. Has a roof top terrace area. Parking on site.

I am not an art person nor do I consider my self a man who indulges deeply in this kind of thing, but it doesn’t take much to understand what the artist was trying to emit through his paintings. So I took my wife here because we love arts and history and this place obviously had both. I expected use to be there no more than 30 minutes to a half hour but we ended up staying well over three and still not being able to explore all of what we wanted in an unlimited time frame. We had to get the kids. But if your looking for a place that goes deep into okinawain history and then some, this place is it. The exhibits are lively and catches your eyes. We walked around with the free iPod you get there, set the language to English and ventured to as many spot as possible listening to the history behind so many different things about Okinawa. This place will keep here I think for about 5-6 hours.

(Translated by Google) It was a one-room apartment with appliances. It was clean. It felt like I was living in Okinawa, even though it was just a trip. Unlike a hotel, I didn't have to worry about the staff or other travelers. Cooking utensils and tableware were provided, except for condiments. Other appliances were also provided. Amenities included shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. There was a small bar of soap and a toothbrush set on the sink. As other reviewers have mentioned, the pet mitts were hard to get into. Because it's close to Route 58, the noise from motorbikes speeding around in the middle of the night was loud. Closing the small ventilation window in the laundry room made it better. There were Mos Burger, McDonald's, Starbucks, convenience stores, and Matsuya nearby, so food was no problem. It was also about a 15-minute walk from A&W, where Kenshi Yonezu's music video was filmed. The bus stop was nearby, so it was a convenient location even without a car, with direct access to Nago and Koza. The helpful staff at Mos Burger impresses customers who don't speak Japanese. The double cheeseburger is juicy, and first-time eaters of the curry MOS burger find it delicious. Overall, the entire meal is enjoyable and worth returning for. The staff demonstrates good manners, and the burgers meet expectations for quality. However, the ice tea and milk tea leave much to be desired as they are simply colored ice water. Opting for a coke would be a better choice in this case.
Very kind of helpful staff to a non-Japanese speaking customer. The double cheeseburger was very juicy and it was my first time trying the curry MOS burger which was delicious! I enjoyed my entire meal and would eat here agian.

Ordered the Teriyaki Burger and Chicken. The chicken was nice and crispy. The Teriyaki burger was full of lettuce and ample mayonnaise. As always the food was great. It could be a little messy but good. If you are not a Japanese speaker they will ask you to pull to the window and provide a picture menu for you to chose from. Always a good choice of fast food places.

Good location if you are traveling north on 58. Pretty small parking lot, but at least it has one. They have an allergy safe menu which is nice, but pretty limited. The drive thru want the fastest in the world, but again, at least they have one. It was a little on the expensive side for fast food too, but we like doing something different besides McDonald's sometimes when we want fast food.

Good manner staff and standard Mos burgers you expect. The ice tea n milk tea were very disappointing though, merely colored ice water. Better off to get coke instead.

Steak house
Teppanyaki restaurant
On January 22, 2018, my partner and I had dinner at SAM'S Anchor Inn Ginowan, a renowned steak house. It was his first visit to this establishment, which is known for its remarkable history and friendly staff. The cuisine was outstanding, particularly the bean soup. While I indulged in a top sirloin steak, my partner opted for the steak combo with shrimp. We also enjoyed their delicious non-alcoholic fruit punch at an affordable price.
Exotic and kitsch experience. Was so much better before when it was DARK in there. They got rid of the parrot but the gong remains. Best navy bean soup. Play Martin Denny all night long. Okinawa institution and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this joint!
Saru K — Google review
This visit was my first return visit since I was in Okinawa several years ago. Our family came here often when we were stationed here. I brought my oldest grandson here for our Valentines Day meal. To say I was sorely disappointed would be an understatement. This definitely was not the Sam's Anchor Inn that I remembered. I had the steak and garlic shrimp set meal. The portion size was great, but the meal itself was unsatisfactory. The vegetables, mainly onions with green peppers and a tiny bit of bok choy, were dry and unseasoned. The steak (NY strip) and shrimp had plenty of garlic, but no other seasoning seemed to be on the meat. The Navy bean soup recipe seems to have changed as well. The escargot, bread, and shrimp cocktail were good. I have no plans of returning to Sam's Anchor Inn for another meal.
K. W — Google review
the vibes are amazing. servers cook in front of you and you can enjoy the moment. the quality of the steak itself is also great and the price is so reasonable. if it's in Tokyo, it would be double or more. 200g steak doesn't sound too big, but they're also salads, soups, and some veggies. so you'll be so full even for men.

Went to dinner with my bf Jan 22, 2018. It was his first time here. Lots of great history with excellent staff and great food! The bean soup was amazing! I had the top sirloin steak while he had the steak combo with shrimp. The non-alcoholic fruit punch is very good, price is reasonable especially with all the extras you get with your meal. We were the last ones to leave because we went there late but where else can you go to get tasty steak and seafood late at night? Here of course! Located in Ginowan area right on the 58. The locals love this place as much as the foreigners do. If you ever want a meal with great service come here! Coupons included.

Cool place for the teppanyaki experience. Food was good but a bit expensive in my view. Two main courses with a special drink with a commemorative glass will run you around 10,000 yen. Good experience overall.

Very good dinning experience. The teppanyaki chief makes our kids full of fun during dinning. Garlic fried rice is a must to try. Some drinks allows you take away their cup/mug. The rickshaw at the front door was shipped from Hong Kong. Recommended.

Freaking delicious. Be prepared to wait if you didn't make a reservation on a weekend, especially for dates like Mother's Day. Staff was very nice, tho they only had one bartender on duty when we went on a busy weekend and he couldn't take orders outside of those placed at a table. Still, a fun experience and tasty food and beverages.

I loved it (not biased for same name). First tepanyaki ever. Every course I enjoyed. I recommend the escargot. First time trying escargot and I was not disappointed. I loved the interior decor and the old fun environment. The music was particularly interesting. Steak was cooked to my liking. Lobster was delicious and I highly suggest. Only issue is we couldn't get water from the waitresses and they didn't stop to check on us for quite some time. Don't forget to add your name to the novelty reservation list! Enjoy (:

If you're on the lookout for a delightful culinary adventure, look no further than Nepal Spice Kitchen Kasthamanda in Ginowan. This gem offers an incredible set menu where you can sample four different curries, complete with salad, soup, drinks, and dessert—all at a reasonable price just over 4000 yen. A must-try is their special naan filled with cheese and topped with oregano; it has a unique flavor reminiscent of pizza without the sauce.
Nepal Spice is such a lovely Indian restaurant. They have a great selection of lassi’s and great set menu options. My only regret was that I didn’t add more spice level. Highly recommend you go up a little more than you think you should. The naan was so fluffy and delicious. Some of the best naan I’ve had in a long time.

First night in Okinawa and we were struggling to find a place near our hotel. Luckily we found this gem. Partner and I ordered the special meal set which came with rice, 4 curries, tandoori chicken, salad, naan and two drinks. Great value for money! The naan was great, we also ordered an extra cheese one, which was yummy. The curries were good, probably just need more salt, or seasonings. We had to add quite a bit of chilli to bring out some flavours. The butter in the daal curries really brought out the richness. Great, hearty meal for those who need a break from Japanese cuisine on their travels. We got there around 6pm on a Saturday, and there was plenty of car spaces and the restaurant was pretty full! Also the service was great, the gentlemen that greeted us and served us was very attentive and friendly.

I love this place. Their Kebab set is my go to everytime I've come. Their combination of salad, protein, curry, and choice of naan is the reason I always come back and get the same thing without fail. I've only been here once or twice where I expected Their service to be a little faster compared to Okinawan standards, but good food takes time to prepare.

I scored sneaking in here for lunch today being the first one seated, excellent, friendly service with a smile. Sitting at the bar I had a good view of the hard working team going to work with the lunch rush orders and my food. I went big with the Kasthmandap set of curry choices from the gentlemanly proprietor. The tandoori chicken! Amazing, the array of curry and options are fantastic could come here a dozen times and never have the same thing twice. Most places have 1-2 home runs on the menu that are fan favorites… this place however is slam dunking on the competition on island. “Best Curry on 🏝️ “ they tout on their literature and boy do they BACK IT UP! It’s awesome! Plenty of group and date night seating and even a family room on the right for your kiddos. I’m definitely coming back and enjoying a couple Nepal Beers! 🇺🇸 🤝🇳🇵

Omg this place is so tasty!!!! My friend and I decided to try this place since the reviews are pretty good and a coworker recommended it to me. We were not disappointed at all with the good. The garlic cheese Naan is so tasty and the curry prawn so delicious, just a little disappointed 😞 I only got 2 prawns with my order. My friend absolutely enjoyed her food and had no complaints. We both had a mojito for our drink and just know it is very very string, but not sweet at all. We would absolutely go back and recommend to others.
Crystal F — Google review
The curry and Naan tasted great! The portions were good for what the price was. Also, no wait around 6-7 PM.
Jarvis P — Google review
Plenty of seating and parking, in spite of being close to a military base this place is never packed. Food is quite good and the service is both timely as well as efficient. Expect a 15-20 minute wait time on food, of course depending on how much you order. Can't complain, the naan bread is really the best part, I opt for cheesy garlic naan and am always satisfied.
Ryan L — Google review
Great experience. I love the fact you can get a set and try 4 different curries and it comes with everything else you might want. Salad, soup, drinks and dessert all for one price. It was just a bit over 4000 yen. I'd recommend the special naan. I originally chose the plain, but my friend got this special one that was filled with cheese and had oregano on top (might have been some other spices but I didn't look into it). Reminded me a bit of a pizza like flavor with no sauce, very tasty. The menu is full of photos so you have an indication of what you are ordering. Everything we ordered tasted good. There was nothing average that we had here. The curries chosen were: Butter chicken Shrimp masala Lamb curry Fish dakai We did the mango lassi and strawberry lassi for the drinks with the set dinner. On the menu it said drink but we were allowed to order two. The meal seems like it's for two as it came with two salads and two soups as well as to desserts. The naan bread that came with the meal was uncut, but my friend who ordered a separate meal hers was cut up. Parking was relatively easy as they have a private lot in the back. This place does get very busy at dinner though so you might have problems if you come a little later.

Kantipur Curry House is a must-visit destination for curry enthusiasts seeking an authentic experience. The menu boasts a delightful array of dishes, including the Garlic Chicken Kabab served with your choice of two curries and naan. Diners rave about the lamb and spinach chicken curries, both bursting with flavor and varying levels of spice that cater to different palates. The garlic cheese naan is particularly popular, often described as irresistible.

Amro M — Google review
I had the Garlic Chicken Kabab, which comes with two choices of curry and naan. I got the lamb curry and the spinach chicken curry and garlic cheese naan. Then we both split a mixed tandoori plate. I got the "Very Hot" level and it was decently warm. If a 0 is milk and a 10 is "I can't breathe or feel my face" The lamb curry was probably a 6/10 spicy. And the spinach chicken was a 4/10. Both were delicious and I enjoyed them both, but I really like the spinach chicken the most. It was smooth and creamy with just a hint of spice. The garlic cheese naan was stuffed with melted cheese and then sprinkled with cheese and garlic. It came out more like a garlic naan pizza and it was phenomenal. I would come back here just for the spinach chicken and the garlic cheese naan. The rest was good, but those two were the best. Parking can be a bit tricky, the front parking is good for Kei cars and bikes, for the rest there is more parking just to the left as you face the restaurant, just down that street a little and on your left.

(Translated by Google) Raise fees to an appropriate level without pouring our taxpayers' money into them! Marina fees have been set for many years at a low level that does not correspond to the costs of maintaining the facility. Expenses that cannot be covered by fees are funded by our taxpayers' money. This is because the wealthy elderly class, who make up the majority of users, have been using Ginowan City and Prefectural Assembly members elected from Ginowan to pressure Okinawa Prefecture not to raise fees. As wealthy people, shouldn't they pay a fee commensurate with the enjoyment they enjoy? Why lower their own burden by using our taxpayers' money to fund these activities? Taxpayers' money should be used to address social issues such as supporting young people in poverty, child-rearing support, and elderly care. Since marinas are largely used for recreation by the wealthy, wouldn't it be more appropriate to maintain them solely through the fees paid by the wealthy users, rather than continuing to fund them with our taxpayers' money? A commoner like me can't afford to buy and maintain a boat. We urge Okinawa Prefecture to immediately stop pouring these ordinary people's hard-earned tax money into entertainment facilities for the wealthy and set appropriate prices! I think you can enjoy it even more if you have binoculars (might be irresistible for military enthusiasts). The park itself is well maintained, the lawns are beautiful, and the restrooms are clean. There are many benches where you can relax. It's especially great on sunny days. It was a place that made me want to go there next time when the sun was setting. By the way, the parking lot is quite spacious. Unless it's an event or holiday, it's unlikely to be full. (Translated by Google) Due to construction going on until the end of September, I was not able to go to the observation deck. But from between the trees in the back, I could see the entire base. Parking available I only know it from TV. When I look at Futenma Air Base, pillboxes, and defensive positions, I think about the war. I am really glad that I was able to visit Okinawa as a sightseeing tourist during the peaceful times. Noodle shop
3-Chome Shima Soba Noodle Restaurant is a popular spot known for its delicious noodles and flavorful broth. The bonito broth is particularly aromatic and the Sohki is highly recommended. Despite being busy, the food here is definitely worth the wait, with many visitors praising the deliciousness of their soba. It's advisable to arrive early as it tends to get crowded quickly, but the short wait time is well worth it for a taste of their spectacular dishes.
Fresh ginger rested atop the most tender soki-spare ribs. Handmade soba noodles swim in a balanced katsuo/kombu broth. Uniquely delicious koregusu adds perfect spice with a hint of sweetness. Kind, attentive, and inviting staff amongst a relaxing ambiance. Gentle complex tones of John Coltrane fill the air.

I heard that the Okinawa noodles at this store are very popular, so I went to check it out. The taste is very light, with a subtle bonito soup base and not too much oil. I think it’s a flavor that girls would like. The shapes of the soba noodles are uneven and irregular, but that gives them a nice charm. Since there are only a few items on the menu, the food is delivered very quickly after ordering, and guests don’t stay too long. Orders are placed through a vending machine, and it said that the new 500 yen coins are not accepted. I think we spent about 10-13 minutes there from the time we entered until the time we left. However, this store does not have a contracted parking lot. The owner asked us to park in the parking lot of the park opposite. Is this allowed?

Easily the top Soba Noodle spot in Oki. Fast service and awesome taste! Great lunch spot after hiking around hilltop park.

Restaurant
Joyfull Ginowan Convention City offers a wide selection of dishes, although it does not have many traditional Western breakfast options. The food is delicious and the establishment is clean. They also have a fantastic soup bar with refreshing drinks. The prices are reasonable for the entire menu, making it an affordable choice. It opens at a convenient time and provides both dine-in and take-out options. This Japanese restaurant serves tasty meals that won't break the bank, with satisfying hot dishes and excellent service.
Great little budget friendly spot for dinner. The robot waiter was novel and fun. I had the thin cut steak. Good price and served with side of vegetables.

Good food for the price. Portions were decent and the soup and drink bar was nice. Will return again if we are in the area.
Rylan S — Google review
A lot to choose from but lacks most of the western style breakfast dishes. Tasty, clean, and a great drink soup bar. Prices are good across the whole menu. Opens at a decent time with the option to dine in and take out.

A wonderful place to take the kids before grocery shopping 🛍 Has a fairly wide variety so everyone can eat. Robot staff brings most of your food and drinks 😀 Kids love the robot staff and they have names which is pretty funny 😁 😂

The miss taking my order rolled her eyes at me after I didn't understand something on the menu and walked away after taking my order but didn't let me pay or give me the takeaway holder. I just wanted fried rice with my order.. The other guy saw and walked over, thinking I didn't to order yet and finished putting the order in. She had input it as white rice after I clearly pointed to the other one but I was too put off to ask for a correction. Definately, not a "joyful" experience..I'll avoid this place from now on.

Noodle shop
When it comes to Okinawa, one cannot overlook the famous noodle shop known for its delicious Okinawa soba. This eatery was discovered on the way to Nago and immediately caught attention with its appealing appearance. Despite the noon rush, the shop owner graciously guided a customer to find parking and personally attended to all tasks, including water service, order taking, cooking, and operating the cash register.
Absolutely awesome for soba. 1st ranking of this soup

Very good soba! Relatively light broth compared to some of the more heavy, thick ones at other shops. Good to the last drop!

(Translated by Google) At lunch time, I had "Cartilage Soki Soba". The soup felt different from the orthodox Okinawa soba, and I felt it was a little saltier. The chewy noodles and slightly charred cartilage soki were delicious. I also appreciate Juicy's service. There are 4 parking spaces in front of the store, but it may be a little narrow.

There was a very nice scent of dashi in the restaurant, and as expected, the soup was gentle and very delicious. What was shocking was the noodles! Smooth and chewy! ! (Translated by Google) I had the cartilage soki soba (850 yen). They were very particular about the soup, using chicken bones and three types of fish, which brought out the umami of the kelp and the umami of the dried sardines, which I personally liked. The noodles were curly raw noodles that were smooth and chewy. Cartilage soki is soft and melty, and has a mild sweetness. Personally, I really like dried sardines, so this soup was a hit. It was really delicious... The juicy meat was served as a service and the flavor of the kelp was very effective and it was delicious. The owner runs the restaurant by himself, so during busy lunchtimes, you may have to wait after ordering. There are 6 tables for 4 people inside the store. 3 tatami rooms for 4 people There were 9 tables in total. There are also children's chairs, so you can bring your children with you. The owner has a nice personality, so you can enjoy your meal comfortably.

(Translated by Google) Sukesoba along the Kakazu Pipeline I ate Hon Soki Soba for 750 yen. The bonito stock works well, and when you take a sip of the soup, the flavor of bonito fills your mouth. It's a light, orthodox Okinawan soba. However, since it also contains pork bones, it has just the right amount of fat, making it a delicious soup that you will never get tired of. The medium-thick raw noodles were very chewy and went well with the soup. This soki is well-cooked, and even the cartilage is soft, so if you don't like the cartilage, you can eat it with it. I'm also glad that Juicy is included in the set. Thank you for the hearty meal.
