We purchased entrance and round trip ferry tickets in advance. Made it super easy. You can skip the line and tee up for the ferry ride. Ferry does have seating but recommend arriving in the morning. We crossed around 8:30am. Made for an hour or so before the crowds started. We walked along the left waterfront path and started at Swing cafe which had cozy leather seats with views of the trees and water. Give yourself a good 5 hours to truly take in the island. Lots of eclectic artwork, galleries, walking paths, cafes and photo opportunities.

My Delightful Bus Tour To Nami Island The bus picked me up from my hotel in Seoul for this full day adventure which included a stop at the Garden Of Morning Calm. This meticulously manicured garden was stunningly beautiful and relaxing at the same time.The tour guide and driver gave us a little briefing on the highlights and attractions upon arrival and set a time for return to the bus before he turned us loose. This is a thoroughly enjoyable place and can be a destination in it’s own right. Back on the bus for a short ride where we boarded a ferry for a short, scenic and fun cruise to Nami Island . Again a nice little briefing and return instructions. The island is an iconic location which can be seen in many Korean movies and TV shows. Rows of tall stately trees growing in a symmetrical and orderly manner must have been growing a very long time. They line both sides of roadways that I think of as inviting shady lanes. There are many landscape and flower features throughout the park. Photo enthusiasts will be well pleased. There are numerous food venues featuring tasty well prepared dishes. This complete tour was a pleasing and comforting experience from start to return.I would encourage everyone to visit here. I hope to return as well.

Nami Island is a beautiful and peaceful place to walk around. The autumn scenery was stunning with golden and red leaves everywhere. There are lots of photo spots, cute wooden sculptures and even rabbits around the park. It’s calm and relaxing, perfect for nature lovers. I recommend coming in the morning or late afternoon for the best light and cooler weather. 🇰🇷❤️

Nami Island is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Even though we went during the coldest season — it was -12°C on the day we visited — it was still absolutely breathtaking. The snow-covered trees, peaceful paths, and calm atmosphere made it feel like a winter fairy tale. Despite the freezing weather, we loved every minute of walking around, taking photos, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The island has such a charming and romantic feel, and it’s easy to see why it’s so famous. If you are visiting Korea, I highly recommend adding Nami Island to your list — winter or not, it’s a magical experience you won’t forget.

Visiting Nami Island during autumn felt like walking straight into a painting. The whole island was wrapped in shades of red, orange, and gold every tree glowing under the soft sunlight. Not so crowded even in long public holiday. Lucky that it wasn't rain when we're there. Not all game are running. But a lot of photo spots. A place to have moments with family and friends. To have a break from daily routine. Overall a good place to visit

A good place for outing in Autumn if you don’t want to stay in Seoul for the whole trip. But the travelling time about 3 to 4 hours is costly if you only plan for a 3D2N trip. The island is full of golden, red and yellowish colour and you can walk around the island enjoying those Ginkgo and Maple trees. Maybe you can just hanging out in the Swing OR Book Pond Cafe before catching the return ferry trip. It is better you purchase the ferry ticket in advance, which take you only 10 min ride to reach the Island. The restaurants around the Pier are good place for an early lunch if you want to save your time for sightseeing on the Island.

Went on Memorial Day as part of day tour. I think it’s much easier to go as part of a tour package because you don’t have to figure out the train timings, you don’t have to worry about the county tourist bus timings or if there is space on the tourist bus at peak times. The only problem was the massive jam on Memorial Day. As it was a public holiday, many people also went to the rail park and we had to wait over an hour for our turn. But it is worth it. Very scenic, very relaxing. Although you have to cycle, track is mostly down sloping, so not much strength is needed and you can mostly let the bike meander down the rail track. Tunnels had music, bubbles and light, and they were a welcome respite from the heat. Highly recommended.

It is a very interesting place to go alone or with someone. The individual cars have an accelerator and a brake, so you can slow down to enjoy the scenery. There are carriages for two and four people. It is a nice experience although to get there from Seoul, there is a fast train that goes directly and passes only once a day, but you must have the ticket, otherwise, buying it at the terminal is impossible. The other option is taking 3 subway lines, one that is inside Seoul, and two more on the outskirts. Then, to go to the rail park, it is most convenient to walk, since the urban buses in that area pass approximately every hour and a half. Walking is about 1500 meters, so this last option is convenient. There are several circuits, we chose this one because the landscape seemed more varied to us.

This rail park is the closest to Nami Island so we came here right after. Love that the rail bikes are automated. Only one rider controls the bike, the other pedals are for fun! So just need to peddle a little to start the engine and then it will move on its own after. Lovely scenery. We were very intrigue by how they turn the bikes around. We had a short break of about 10min after the bikes were turned around. There is a little cafe there where we got coffee and hot chocolate to warm ourselves before the return journey. The bike has a cup holder for each rider so we can bring the drink along. The return journey even though on the same track, had a different view and feel as the sun is setting. Great experience.

Fun specially for the kids. Our visit was autumn and the view was stunningly good! Don't worry if you are not that fit, there is a motor in the railbike that will assist you in accelerating. I highly recommend this activity.

this was soooo fun! we booked tickets online but i think walk ins might be possible too as not all bikes were occupied. but it’s better to book online anyway. the route was about 30 min one way, with a short 10-15 min break before cycling back. the view was so scenic and the spring weather was perfect! it was so relaxing cycling, definitely would return :)

The wharf itself is the start to all the beauty of the island and there is a great welcome sign and statues nearby. Best of all, the public bathrooms are by the wharf and convenient while waiting for the ferry back to mainland at the end of the trip. The island is well worth visiting and I hope everyone gets the chance!

Just take a taxi from Gapyeong station to Nami Wharf. If you want to try the Zipline from Nami Wharf to Nami Island, you need to buy the ticket at Zip Wire Ticket Box for KRW50000/pax. But please go there between 12.30pm-2pm above because usually they were not operated during early morning due to thick fog.You can ride the ferry to go back to Nami Wharf. Its already included in the Zipline ticket. If you don't want to ride the zipline, you also can ride the ferry which cost KRW16000/pax for round trip.

Beautiful and cozy island. The place is serene and tranquil. I really enjoyed walking around here and enjoying the nature. A must see spot if you are traveling to Korea.

This is my second time at this island. It is a peaceful and tranquil place to stroll around, despite the amount of tourists, the island is very big, so there's still a lot of area where it is pretty quiet. There are also public restroom and food areas where you can get some food. There's also some animals where you can see on the island. I saw ostriches during autumn, and wild rabbit during winter. During autumn though, there were lots of small flying insects that will fly into your face or fly above your head to get warmth from you but they will die very quickly once they land on you. I have no idea what they are but it does not seem to bother most people as they seem pretty harmless. During winter, they have this ice sledding area where people can ride a float down the pile of snow. Temperature here is still comfortable. Wasn't too cold.

Well maintained, well organised. Fear not if you missed the ferry, the next one is coming in 5mins. You can also zipline your way into Nami Island , but I heard that there is waiting time, and also it’s quiet expensive.

It truly felt like a Parisian garden, but with the meticulous attention to detail that only Korea could achieve—like something out of a fairy tale. I wish I had spent more time there, writing something. It was truly inspiring 🥲.

Jade Garden is an awesome spot to travel and experience nature, it is just a short trip from the city. The place has stunning landscapes and peaceful trails, perfect for unwinding and taking a break from city life. I totally recommend checking out Jade Garden if you want to experience some calm without going too far!!

Recently went to Jade Garden in Gapyeong, South Korea it was such a calming and relaxing experience. We went on a late Saturday afternoon and surprisingly it was not busy at all. I suggest coming around 3-4 PM and staying till 5PM or the last hour so you can see the garden during sunset/golden hour. There were so many different flowers, plants, and tree's to look at. A great place to bring family to take a walk or if you want to take a photoshoot with all the aesthetic scenery.

Visit this place on late May which is closer to summer. Sunny weather yet cooling due to the wind breeze & shade from the tree. 🌲 Not many visitors thus able to enjoy the walk with serenity. After this, we went to Nami island If I would chose, I would prefer to soend more time here to enjoy the walk at least away from crowds & noise Entry fee is 11k krw

The place is European style luxury and beautiful valley. You can find here different plants and lots of flowers. When you are here you will feel serenity and peacefulness. It was so nice to take a walk that there were waters flowing along the side and there were even waterfalls. And when you get tired of walking you can drink coffee or anything to drink because there is a cafe shop inside. You can also buy some gifts and gardening here.

We went during summer. Nothing much to see if you'd expect amazing gardens and flowers. More of plants and trees. Few flowers on summer. Probably will look different in other seasons. The entrance fee is a bit much at 9500 won.

This place can be visited in all season. It is free of cost for Chuncheon people. There is enough space for parking and the paking cost is cheap too. I have added some edited and some non-edited pictures of the place. Sometimes it is hard to capture the natural beauty in the camera.

A walk about 25-30 minutes from the entrance. Steep stairs towards the end to reach the waterfall however not much water as the water trickles down

June on Nami Island is already dreamy — lush greenery, romantic walks, and then… a surprise halal Korean restaurant tucked right inside paradise. We dove into a steaming bowl of beef jjamppong, bold and flavorful, with enough to seduce the appetites of two. The pickles and kimchi? Self-serve and endlessly satisfying — a little spicy kick to go with the breeze. The space is clean, airy, and welcoming, with a musolla and toilets nearby for comfort and convenience. Delicious, affordable, and unexpectedly halal — this spot turned our island escape into a full-on summer romance.

We had our lunch at an Asian restaurant during our visit to Nami Island on September 9, 2025. With the heat of the day, our appetite was strong. We ended up ordering five dishes for just four of us, and amazingly, we finished every bite! The food was absolutely delicious. We highly recommended jjampong, spicy octopus, and of course, the classic jajangmyeon.

Food was great and simple, been here twice as this was our 2nd trip to Nami Island bringing my 1st daughter. The bulgogi rice - awesome The spicy seafood rice - delicious Spicy seafood rameon - nice We also added 2 bowl of plain rice because of the savouriness of dishes. And it came with unlimited ammount of kimchi and danmuji and cucumber pickles. The danmuji (radish pickles) was awesome! It reminds me of my hometown papaya pickles as the tastes nearly similar. No gamey or foul smell or taste. Even i complemented the dishes to the owner. It also has the muslim praying room (musholla). Really spacious I wish i could come again. Disappointed experience. I came all the way to Nami Island just to try this halal place, but when I arrived (well before the stated closing time!), the door was closed. I knocked and even called — no response. I could see a staff member inside on their phone, but they ignored everything. If you're going to close early or not serve customers, please update your hours or at least acknowledge people at the door. Not cool, especially for travelers who come from far. Its was still open hours when I came. Why let people believe you’re open when you won’t even answer the door? For Muslim travelers like me, halal options are limited — this was supposed to be a highlight. Instead, it left me upset, hungry, and honestly feeling unwelcome. Please do better.

Place closes at 8. In about 1 hour, we finished all the food we ordered. The chicken is well marinated with some curry flavour. The cold noodle is really flavourful. Remember to add cooked rice at the end and let it cook well for it to crust. The fried rice is delicious too.

Dakgalbi originated in Chuncheon, South Korea, making it a signature dish of the region. The restaurant is nearby the wharf to Nami island. A right time for hungry tummy after exploring the island.

Would recommend this spot to fill up before you head over to Nami Island! It's a generous portion, for a good price, and the chicken was incredibly tender. Staff are friendly and they help to prepare the dakgalbi expertly. I would come back again to try the charcoal grilled version!

Best Dakgalbi we tried in South Korea! It was very tasty. My friend is not a fan of spicy food but he enjoyed it very much. The location is also a good spot for tourists as it is just right in front of the Gapyeong Wharf.

Seems like only tour groups come to this very busy restaurant; we were no exception, but we did like the dakgalbi! Just that 15000 krw per serving seems slightly overpriced. The cold noodles (8000 won) is a must- try too!

We visited the Garden of Morning Calm as part of a tour package, and it turned out to be a very beautiful experience. The garden is well maintained and has several themed sections, each with its own charm. It is calm, quiet, and filled with lovely photo spots, making it a great place to enjoy nature. That said, I would recommend it only if you are already in the area. It does not feel worth traveling all the way from Seoul just for this. Also, accessibility is limited as the grounds are quite hilly, so be prepared to walk.

Our afternoon drive from Seoul to Gapyeong-eup was wonderfully enhanced by a stop at the Garden of Morning Calm. Although we arrived a bit late at 5pm, this turned out to be the perfect time to visit, with most of the day's crowds already gone. The garden is a masterpiece of landscape design, beautifully blending natural elements with artistic touches. We were captivated by the majestic thousand-year-old Millennium Juniper. The stunning variety of flowers and plants, and the serene water streams and ponds adorned with charming bridges and pavilions. The addition of unique structures like a chapel, a Western-style cottage, and Korean house added fascinating layers to our stroll. It was the perfect way to break up our journey, offering a moment of tranquility before we continued to our final destination. I highly recommend this beautiful garden for a visit.

Aahh… this one is definitely my favorite. Right at the entrance you’ll find food stalls selling Korean favorites like corn dogs, fish cakes, and more. The food was delicious, and the best part is that even though it’s a tourist spot in a remote area, the prices weren’t jacked up. Big plus! To be honest, at first I thought this garden would be just “meh” 😑 , the usual flowers, benches, fountains, and bridges. But I was wrong. The garden is massive, and what really took my breath away was the area where the garden meets the mountains. The view was stunning and the atmosphere instantly felt calm and serene. The name truly fits. This is a must visit in South Korea. We’ll definitely come back and spend more time here. Pro tip: Book this with the Nami Island tour on Klook for convenience. If you want to enjoy the garden longer, consider booking a private van so you can spend the whole afternoon there.

Wow!! Didn't know what to really expect, but this place was a little slice of heaven on earth! We booked a day tour from Seoul, and this was a stop along the tour. By far, out most favorite stop along the tour. Its pure tranquility, and serenity. You almost feel as thought you are in a different world. The gardens are stunning, and peaceful. We saw giant bunnies roaming around, also babies. Its definitely a place that will make you happy 🪷 hopefully, you can try and miss the crowds. Although, we went on a Sunday, which was crowded, but still managed to find plenty spots to relax in solitude, and just absorb the breathtaking gardens. Felt very fairytale like...wonderful place to take many pictures 🪷💫🍃

A big garden, with beautiful scenery. It's thematic garden with plenty photo spots. Unfortunately I was there when raining. Ok lease watch the weather when you plan in advance. But as long as it's not heavy rain, we can still enjoy it.

This is a really pretty garden to walk around and take pictures. It's fall, but the trees haven't really changed colors yet. However there are many beautiful colorful flowers scattered throughout. The highlights were the chapel, the Korea House, and the lily pond with the pagoda. There are some really nice picture spots. If you get tired, they have at least 2 cafes to sit and enjoy a drink and snacks.

I think it is best to come by October where autumn season is at peak. We just had our tour today, and the change of leaves colors has started changing, but still you can see mostly are greens. The spot was so serene, calm and if you love nature, this is your place. Toilets are clean and are everywhere.

Super pricey for what you a actually get. Zoo is well maintained and clean but it’s pretty small for price. We paid about ₩40000 2 adults and two kids but to buy feed for the kids to feed the animals was another ₩5200 for some carrot sticks and crackers. This is basically a petting zoo for kids to feed some of the animals. Saddest thing was the Tiger exhibit(which the cage was really small) and one of the tigers had an injured leg and was clearly in pain and none of the staff did anything. Sad.

I won't recommend this place at all. I took my daughter today and had to see her disappointed. I had no idea how lazy animals would be on a rainy day. We saw only a couple of indoor animals and that was all. It would be proper to get discounted on rainy days since all animals were busy sleeping in their cages. I would say 5,000 won would be enough for an adult, not 12,000 won! Don't bother going! The only memory I had today was just one picture of tulip!

I loved the scenery and I loved the contents of the museums. It was cute, I just expected more. I got really excited about the chocolate and cheese museum but there was no actual chocolate or cheese to buy. The food at the restaurant was awful. I was really looking forward to the fondu but they only gave the option of either chocolate or cheese and it was 20 dollars. It's also almost impossible to get to if you don't have a car. If you are a tourist don't go here. I give it 2 stars for the scenery.

This is an unusual little theme park. I am unsure how they stay in business. Although their vision for a place like this has merit, and they spent a lot of money to create it, its not at the level of a theme park most people would visit twice. Since it is cheap, you could come here once if you are curious.

Good place to just hang out and enjoy a nice day. You get free drink “token” when you get your entrance ticket and you can use them for a glass of beer or coffee or whatever you want to drink. I think that it’s a good deal.

Edelweiss Swiss theme park is quite isolated, hidden away among mountains. There is an entry fee. There's not much activities to here but the cute styled buildings and rooms are suitable for aesthetic photos. There is also a sheep farm where you can feed the sheep. Overall experience here was peaceful and relaxing.

Very scenic place on the top of the mountain. Winter is the best time to be there, so you will feel the Switzerland vibe.

Edelweiss Swiss theme park is well maintained collection of Swiss Architecture, Music and Food. The ambience transports you to a whole new world and is a must visit for family. Absolutely loved it.

Travelled from Seoul city to this place and took about 3 hours. Personally, the environment is nice but it's not worth the travel time and effort.

Kraemerlee Brewery is my favorite place in Korea to grab fresh beer and vibes! The food is delicious and I recommend the BBQ platter. My go to beer is thr Gapyong IPA. There's beer for all types too! Even my soju loving friends found a beer they liked! #PleasntlyOutOfTheWay #beer #bbq

This is one of my favorite getaway spots close to Seoul. Definitely recommend going when you can sit outside until the evening - great atmosphere! The beer is really good, and I always go for the truffle fries. You can even get a discount at the resort and the restaurant if you stay across the street (I think you have to use Naver Reservations). Plus, they give beer-making tours - but in Korean.

Kraemerlee is a beautiful German style craft brewery with solid beer selections and delicious food. Outdoor space is open to amazing mountain scenary, and indoor space is simultaneously industrial and warm. Bock beers are as good as you would want German brewery to be, and imperial stouts are decadent. I would definitely come back!

Artificial French village near Seoul built by a Korean who loved all things French. Stunning views but the exhibits are a bit sad mainly focused on Pinocchio’s story. Lots of places for nice Insta shots but I would not return again. Good if you have never been before.

A complete waste of time and energy .. shockingly underwhelming. If you’re booking a tour to Nami Island, skip this one. Don’t waste your money .. book the garden of morning calm instead. This place is so tacky, I doubt even kids would enjoy it

Petite France is such a charming and colorful spot in Korea. The French-style houses, art pieces, and little museums make it feel like stepping into a European village. Great for photos and strolling around.

As a famous filming location for popular Korean dramas like, it adds an element of excitement for fans looking to visit iconic scenes. The village is exceptionally photogenic, providing numerous unique spots perfect for photography and social media check-ins. However, the experience is somewhat marred by the apparent lack of maintenance. Despite being built years ago, the condition of some areas shows significant wear. During the visit, a strong smell of mold was noticeable in several buildings, which unfortunately detracted from the overall atmosphere and enjoyment. In summary, Petite France is a great place for photos and to capture a French ambiance, but be prepared for some imperfections that affect the experience.

Part of the klook tour package. It's a huge village made up of French/Italian looking houses and a huge Pinnochio at the entrance. Most of the houses are accessible and some of them have different themes and displays in them. Worth visiting.

France inspired theme park! We went in september and the weather was great. Therefore it was easy to walk and enjoy the colourful streets. The air was clean. We took a one day tour for petite france, nami island and rail park so we were just given 2-3 hours to visit petite france which I would say is more than enough! This place could be enjoyed with parents and children. This place has cute insta worthy spots where you can create some magical, colourful reels, videos etc. This place doesn’t have much to offer except for scenic and insta worthy shots! It is colourful and vibrant! I would not recommend this place for a full day tour as there’s nit much to offer. The washrooms are clean, they have some small cafes where you can have your coffee, croissants etc.

A great place for taking pictures, going with child, family outing, walking with a cup of coffee, its great to visit during spring but you can go any other time as well. I recommend you to have time there and not missing any building. You may find some place where they have some kind of show for a short time dont miss that. Worthy visit.

Took a taxi and arrived at 4.34pm and was refused entry even though it closes at 6pm. Apparently the closing time to enter is 4.30pm. 4 minutes too late.

Such a cool little park to visit. Especially useful for killing time before your train arrives. Ticket includes one drink (Americano, Hot Chocolate or Tea).

I recently spent a day at Elysian Ski Resort and had an "okay" time. This resort is perfect for a day trip and offers a great variety of activities for skiers of all levels but the only downside is it was very crowded... The snow conditions were good in my opinion, with fresh powder in the morning and well-maintained slopes throughout the day.... Renting equipment was a little chaos since it was full of people, nevertheless, the rental shop was well-stocked with quality gear, and the staff was very helpful in ensuring everything fit perfectly!

I went to Elysian Gangchon Ski Resort on January 29, 2025, which happened to be Lunar New Year in Korea. So, it was super crowded. Since there were so many participants, I noticed the instructors seemed a bit overwhelmed, probably because of the large crowd. It was also quite hard to find space to practice, especially since I was a total beginner (it was my first time skiing). But the instructors, Jay and Bin, were really friendly and patient. I even got lost and came back late to the bus. I felt so bad, but they were super nice about it. Overall, it was a great experience! But I’d recommend going on a weekday when it’s not so crowded.

Good ski resort Accessible by train. There is also a shuttle bus from the station to the ski resort that runs mabye every half hour. Gets quite crowded especially the beginner course. Not many options of restaurants or other facilities there

It is the most accessible ski resort from Seoul as you just take the metro to Baegyang-ri Station. The resort is not as large and it mostly accomodates to begginers. Slopes are wide enough. There is not much dining options on the resort. Highly recommended if you just want a quick ski getaway and dont have your own vehicle.

Second time skiing here. The travelator at the learner’s slope is a saviour for people who are not able to go up the normal slopes yet. Beginner course had sufficient elevation to practise and pick up speed. The staff at the chairlifts are also friendly and helpful. Saw them assisting people who fell when getting off the lift.

This was our first ski experience, and while the equipment rental process was chaotic and poorly organised, it was nonetheless an exciting new experience. However, there appeared to be no disinfection process for the equipment, which was especially concerning during the winter season with increased risks of flu, COVID-19, and pneumonia.

elysian was slightly cheaper than the other ski parks/resorts, so we chose to book the klook tour for it. overall a really fun experience skiing on the slopes here. tried the intermediate slope as a beginner but ended up sliding down on my butt most of the way cuz its so steep and slippery compared to the beginner one! our instructor Bin was very helpful and patient in teaching us. however, i think the resort should do better in organising large crowds. the equipment rental & locker areas are extremely chaotic, crowded and confusing. But worst is definitely the clothes rental (see vid below). Many of the lockers also couldnt be locked so put stuff at your own risk. but overall would come back again during less peak periods!

There is only parking place for staying more than one night. So if you visit just one day you can't find any parking place. But this place has quite good view and It would be great if you book this resort.

Lovely place to have lunch! Food was considerably alright but the views were stunning. We had to wait close to 25 minutes due to the overwhelming lunch crowd. Calamari with tteokbokki is a must have!

A very nice place with outdoor dining. Eating hot food in the cold weather is very shiok. The food is tasty and delicious and is well presented. I would recommend the crab meat rose pasta, it have a very unique taste. It was very crowded when we dine in but didn't have to take long to collect my food. This is also a dog friendly cafe and you can see many dog here with their owner.

A hidden gem in Nami Island! Their Pasta was really good! We love our orders very much! Restaurant was abit crowded but food was served rather fast. Didn't had to wait too long. I highly recommend you to try their pasta! The sauces were very well made & the ingredients were really fresh! It was a cosy restaurant too! You may see animals if you dine outdoor :)

It's nearby Benest Golf club. Very nice food at good price. Highly recommended if you are passing by.
