Royal Phuket Marina is a stunning marina adorned with luxurious yachts and boats. It serves as a central hub for island tours and boat trips, offering convenient pick-up services from hotels or condos. The marina provides comprehensive briefings, complimentary drinks, snacks, and even sea sickness pills. Additionally, visitors can purchase various beach items like water shoes and camera rentals. The facilities are well-maintained with sparkling clean bathrooms.
Royal Phuket Marina is an absolutely beautiful place with amazing views, and you get to see all kinds of yachts and boats. I went there to take a ride to the Yona Beach Club and was amazed by the marina itself. Next time I visit Phuket, I would love to explore this place more.

We took a boat trip and experienced the Marina. It was very clean, and the staff was super friendly. Can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay there.

We are very disappointed with the behavior of the security team. Our reservation was canceled immediately without anyone speaking to us or explaining the situation. Additionally, we didn't even get refund as we payed 22000 i don't recommend to visit this place, they are liers

Nice The islands around Royal Phuket Marina are amazing.. the water is so clear and the scenery is like something from a postcard. I joined a couple of boat trips and honestly the James Bond Island trip was the best one.. even better than Phi Phi. The limestone cliffs, caves, and the whole vibe there felt special.. less crowded and more enjoyable. Phi Phi was beautiful too.. but for me James Bond Island had that wow factor. The boat ride itself was comfortable, the stops along the way were fun, and we got plenty of time to take photos and just relax. What I liked most is how easy everything was from Royal Phuket Marina.. clean, well organized, and a perfect starting point for exploring. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.. definitely a highlight of my time in Phuket.

This Harbour is beautiful. Located not far from the town centre itself, except there's traffic in that area. It has a long driveway which is scenic with some greenery on both sides. When you arrive at the drop off site, the personnel are easily visible and proactive. They direct you towards the station you are looking for. We went to transfer to Yona Beach Club, and the service there was also efficient, with a drink and cute seats while we waited.

The service was excellent from start to finish—everything was very well organized and the staff were professional and friendly. The boat we took to the Phi Phi Islands was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, which made the trip even more enjoyable.

The Chic Cafe Phuket is located on an island with beaches perfect for water sports, swimming, and yachting. The main beaches include Rawai Beach in the south, Patong Beach on the west, and Surin Beach on the north. However, it's important to check safety during the monsoon season. The cafe offers homestyle cooked delicious food with a roadside vibe at justifiable prices.
Attention to customers desires, homestyle cooked delicious food and roadside vibes. The prices are justifiable by the quality of the ingredients and chefs' knowledge. The only minus is the mosquitoes outside :(

Had to wait a very long time for food. The chips were served half an hour after the burger. The burger was absolutely tiny! Had to keep asking where our food was. Chicken satay was bad quality chewy chicken. Everyone else getting their food long before us. Not cheap either for size portion.

Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is a beautiful park in Thailand that offers visitors the opportunity to interact with rehabilitated elephants. The sanctuary aims to educate people about the mistreatment of elephants and provide a safe haven for those who have been abused in the past. Unlike many unethical parks, Phuket Elephant Sanctuary focuses on ethical elephant tourism, allowing visitors to observe and feed the animals without causing them stress.
We had a truly wonderful experience at the Elephant Sanctuary. It was heartwarming to see how the elephants, rescued from exploitation, are now living freely and peacefully in such a safe environment. Our guide was amazing – very knowledgeable and passionate, explaining the background of each of the 14 elephants living in the reserve and how they are cared for today. The small details also made the day special: the breakfast at the beginning and the aperitif at the end of the excursion were a really nice touch. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to support a meaningful project and get to know these incredible animals in an ethical way!🐘

A truly unforgettable and meaningful experience! I visited Phuket Elephant Sanctuary on October 2, and everything was well-organized from hotel pick-up to drop-off. We were welcomed with snacks and an informative video that taught us about elephant history and ethical tourism in Thailand. Feeding two elephants was such a special moment, and our guide was amazing – knowledgeable and passionate. The sanctuary provides thoughtful touches like water bottles, umbrellas, and after the tour, we were given cooling towels, drinks, snacks, and even a small gift, which was such a nice surprise. The stories of the rescued elephants were emotional, but it’s heartwarming to see them finally living in peace. The caregivers clearly love what they do. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Phuket – it’s ethical, educational, and inspiring.
Isheoma Y — Google review
I did lots of research before booking this tour, I want to make sure the elephants we saw were being looked after and it was a legitimate ethical business. As you drive into the sanctuary you get to see glimpses of elephants roaming. The elephants were spectacular, you do get close but no touching. The are so beautiful and some of them had dreadful lives before they were rescued. The amount of time we spent with the elephants was more than I expected, down on the ground. We were not disappointed, this was a fantastic morning, from pick up (on time) to being dropped back to our hotel the whole experience was seamless. Things to know: There was plenty of cold water available, I always worry about this. They provide you with socks and gum boots if you are going on the ground There was cold drinks, tea/coffee toast and snacks when we arrived. There are heaps of toilets The vegetarian lunch was lovely, there was a pasta option and chips for those who don't like Thai food. (Not me) I purchased tickets directly from the sanctuary website and it was easy, includes hotel pick up.

Visiting the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary was one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of my trip to Thailand. The sanctuary is beautifully run, and you can really feel the love and respect they have for the elephants. It’s amazing to see these gentle giants finally living freely, without chains or forced labor. The guides were knowledgeable, kind, and clearly passionate about animal welfare. We learned so much about each elephant’s story and how they’re being cared for. Watching them roam, bathe, and eat in their natural environment was simply magical. I truly admire the sanctuary’s commitment to ethical tourism and conservation. This place is doing incredible work to protect and rehabilitate elephants. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an authentic and compassionate experience!

We spent a lot of time researching elephant sanctuaries in Phuket before choosing Phuket Elephant Sanctuary and I’m genuinely pleased we did. Having seen it with my own eyes, I’m confident the elephants are cared for exceptionally well. They’ve recently built Phuket’s first elephant hospital, and the raised walkway canopy offers brilliant views without causing any stress or disturbance to the animals. Our guide, Alex, was friendly and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. We arrived early and were kindly moved to an earlier tour without even asking. We received two miniature elephants as a free gift at the end of the tour and generous complementary snacks rounded things off perfectly. Five stars and a must visit in Phuket.

I did quite a bit of research before choosing this place. And I am so happy I chose here! I was able to feed the elephants from a healthy distance and walk among them and watch them enjoy some freedom. I highly suggest getting the tour that includes everything. It’s totally worth it and eye opening.

wonderful authentic beach. three fishermen's houses and nothing else. this place is great for walks in silence, peace and away from people. trees grow in the water, it's stunningly beautiful. there is a small pier and two stairs into the sea. the embankment itself is not big, 15 minutes in both directions and with jungle on the other side. this is not a tourist place at all, but a place for fishing, peace and privacy with a view of the islands and mangrove trees in the water.

Nice and very quiet place with only local people. Promenade along the sea under the big tropical pine trees. Mangrove forest just a few meters from the shore. Water is not suitable for swimming. Locals plays pétanque and have a Sunday picnic in the area.

It’s ok for relaxing a bit. You can’t swim here, mostly it’s a mud and very shallow. (Might be because it’s next to the mangrove) Perfect if you wanna bring your kids to see some fishes and crabs on the beach 🏝️ Do not expect much

Thala Beach is a long sandy beach that stretches along the east coast of Phuket Island. The shores are filled with seagrass, which is the food of dugongs. The east coast of Phuket Island is rich in mangrove forests, which are home to marine life which is an important food source for Phuket residents. The specialty of the east coast is that the sunrise is very beautiful from January to March.

The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, also known as โครงการคืนชะนีสู่ป่า in Thai, is a center dedicated to rehabilitating mistreated gibbons with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. With over 3,000 gibbons being killed annually by hunters in Thailand, the project focuses on caring for sick and unhealthy survivors to prepare them for future rehoming.
This tour excelled our expectations. You won’t get close to the gibbons as it’s the centres mission to minimise contact with humans to hopefully return the gibbons to the wild in the future. The gibbons that we observed were the ones that are furthest from being ready for release. We learnt so many wonderful facts about the exhausting process of retraining these beautiful animals to not rely on humans. We made food for them and used trollies to feed and then observe them. We skipped the walk to the waterfall after as 2 giants trees collapsed while we were there
Kerry S — Google review
Wonderful place. Whole purpose of this project is to rescue the gibbons and make them forget about humans so human contact is very very limited. You just spot them from afar and admire them. You may have a chance of feeding them through a strainer attached to a rope…but it all depends on the gibbon’s mood. Great place, hope the gibbons get successfully released into the forest someday.
Kate K — Google review
Bucket list kinda stuff if you love gibbons. Their songs are heard as soon as you enter the park. We learned so much about the current state of gibbon conservation and the rehabilitation processes. We prepared food and learned how to observe behaviour. Zero contact, exactly how it should be. But a fantastic experience and worth every penny. The centre really needs public support as there are over 100 gibbons that need rehabilitation facilities , but the centre relies on the public to carry out the work to get these beautiful creatures taught how to be gibbons after lifetime of being forced into un-natural behaviour for the demands of tourists. Highly recommend!!
Lisa S — Google review
What a wonderful project and staff. I came for the longer visit, and got to help make snacks and observe the gibbons. It was a very educational experience and I'm grateful for the volunteers that work so hard to rescue and rehabilitate these gibbons into the wild. I think it would be especially good for helping children learn and become ambassadors for wildlife and the environment as they grow up, even though they discuss difficult topics regarding animal treatment and rescue. Thank you for a very meaningful day.
Amna K — Google review
An incredible place to visit during a trip to Phuket. A true eco friendly experience that educates about Thai Gibbons and provides a hopeful future with the hard work Than and the team put into rehabilitating these beautiful animals whose numbers in the wild have been greatly impacted thanks to humans. This place receives no government funding so relies heavily on visitors who actually care about animal conservation and not an instagramable photo opportunity.
Tina S — Google review
We had an amazing time here. Many thanks to our lovely volunteer guide (sorry we can't recall your name) who explained the rehabilitation process, about some of those which can't be rehabilitated, the history of the project and many other absorbing details. After the visit we then hiked up the adjacent river to the nearby Bang Pae waterfall for a cooling dip!
Neil J — Google review
Full on tropical storm, tremendous guide - informative, essential to the life of the forest, amazing experience. Just another reminder how people who are different make all the difference in the world. Thank you Gibbon Rehab for what you do.
Dan P — Google review
This was such a special place to visit. The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project are doing amazing work to take care of Gibbons that have been abused and exploited/mistreated through tourism and to re-release them (where possible) back into the wild. They run a few tours/learning sessions a day and tickets can be booked on their website, or you can also contact them via WhatsApp. I paid 1000 baht for the tour and there is a 400 baht national park entry fee. Our guide Roch was absolutely outstanding! He has been working for the project for many years and was so passionate and knowledgeable about the Gibbons - I learned so much and it was fascinating! The project is located in a more remote part of Phuket and the last remaining rainforest on the island. As others have said, this definitely isn't a zoo but it's an incredible place where they're doing vital work. If you're looking to visit/support a more ethical environmental organisation whilst in Phuket I highly recommend a visit to the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project to see and learn about these amazing animals.

Ao Por Pier is a significant pier located in the northern part of Phuket Island. It serves as a gateway to various popular islands in Phuket, including the renowned James Bond islands. The pier offers convenient access to speedboats and big boats for island tours to destinations such as Phang Nga Bay, Hong Island, James Bond Island, and Phanaka Island. Visitors can enjoy stunning east coast views and witness the bustling activity of boats while being well managed by the staff.
Got a speed boat from here to James Bond and other islands, really nice tour. Our tour was arranged by Sea HI Andaman and they have arranged lunch at Muslim village( fishermen village) floating restaurant. Really really nice tour.

I had a rental car so drove right to pier to negotiate a ride. Very friendly and willing to adjust to needs. The two of us spent 1,500 baht or about 45$, for 2.5 hours because we had a flight to catch. Did a local cruise on a long boat, but next time I will negotiate a long boat to James Bond and other islands and not deal with totes and long rides to various hotels to pick up passengers. Pier about 20 minutes from airport. I wish there were more food options at pier but overall positive experience.

This is a lovely location. We embarked on our James Bond Island tour from this pier. It is situated far from the city and famous beaches. The pier offers a breathtaking view of the island. The area is clean and well-organized. We boarded our large boat via a songthaew. Peang Prai Restaurant is a hidden gem nestled near the tranquil Bang Pae Waterfall, offering authentic Thai cuisine and local Phuket specialties at reasonable prices. Despite being off the beaten path, it has been a favorite among locals for nearly 20 years. The restaurant's standout dishes include fish and crab meat paste as well as fish prepared with three types of chili, leaving patrons satisfied.
Hidden gems. They offer southern style Thai food. The restaurant is located inside the forest area. If you’re not into that spicy, don’t forget to tell them the spiciness level you’re up to. Too bad, too many menus were out of stocks and was not in season when we were there. They also got Michelin guide, which they deserve it! Overall, highly recommended!

Hidden up in a forested area, but easily accessible by car and with a scenic vista of a lovely lake with majestic mountain behind it. Their food are authentic Phuket, with many items that can only be found here in Phuket. We ordered a few of their Michelin signature dishes like the Gaeng Ti Mi Pla or the Phuket style curry fish which has a slight sourish taste it but but have hint of sweetness from coconut cream too, and their deep fried shrimp with garlic and chili, which I think was on point but not one to shout about. Another dish that we ordered was their Hoi Wan Tom Ta Krai or the clams in lemongrass soup, superb, love the fragrance of the lemon grass, the flavor of the basil leaf and chili while the soup is full of the umami from the clams. Their Ngob Poo or a similar Malaysian otak with fish and crab steamed in curry paste within a banana leaf. Another very delicious dish. My friend ordered their Naam Prik Ka Yum Gung Sod, not really my type of dish but she loved it. Service is good and fast but our overall bill with 3 drinks + 3 rice + 1 bottle of water was about 1700b.

Amazing Amazing Amazing! What a great restaurant! Set beside a beautiful lake next to the jungle, in a traditional style building with kingfishers flying across the lake. We were the only ones there that afternoon and the service was impeccable and prompt. The quality of every dish was outstanding and so beautifully presented. We don’t know a lot about traditional southern Thai cuisine, but it felt like a creative take on traditional dishes. The standout dishes were the crispy prawn and leaf, the braised belly pork and the fish/crab steamed parcels, Ngob-poo. To top it all, this is the cheapest Michelin rated restaurant we have ever been to! Such great value! We would definitely recommend it.

Do not follow Google map if it tells you to make a u-turn after the light. That’s a long way around with less travel road through the wood. Just drive past the traffic light and the first u-turn. There is another u-turn that run beneath the main road once you come up on the other side just turn left and the restaurant is a mere 300 meters from the main road. See images for reference.

We stumbled upon this restaurant after visiting the Gibbon sanctuary and it ended up being one of our favourite restaurants for our whole trip. The food was special, beautifully presented, unique and very authentic. You can see why this place has a Michelin star. The highlight was an entree dish was was minced meat wrapped in a thin net of egg. Just wonderful. The view from the 2nd story overlooking the lake was lovely.

Amazing place. Go through a jungle road to get there (dont worry its a good road). Small lake, and jungle scenery and jungle noises at the restaurant. Good view. I like Thai food but decided to be a little more adventurous and tried the shrimp paste and other stuff. Mix it all together with various things, and the flavours are fantastic. They have craft beer too! Staff are very kind and friendly.

Bang Pae Seafood Restaurant is a hidden gem located in Paklok, nestled on the edge of a serene mangrove forest. The restaurant offers an array of delectable seafood dishes and traditional Phuket cuisine at reasonable prices. Situated between the sea and shrimp farms, it provides picturesque views while indulging in sumptuous meals. Specialties include squid in black sauce and shrimp with shrimp paste and stink bean, offering rich and flavorful experiences.
Good food good atmosphere. Quiet place with amazing view on the see! Thai people love to go eat here during week-ends. Lesser known place for tourists. Crabs are fresh.

LOVED. Dishes are masterfully cooked and the venue by the sea is unbeatable. The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the prawns weren’t tasty. I know Thai seafood in general is not particularly flavorful but at a seafood restaurant prawns can’t be just meh. I’ll be more than happy to change my 4 stars review to 5 if next time I visit prawns are tastier.

Great ambience especially during dinner time where you can watch the tide come in and the sunset. Restaurant is situated in a very relaxing corner of the island. Food was good but some dishes we felt were under seasoned (clam soup, prawn cake) hence the reason for 1 missing star. Still a good choice for dinner.

Just great Thai fair at an affordable price. Do try their home made coconut cake - it’s stellar. Honorable mention for the pad see ew - noodles are cooked in a seafood broth and it’s delectable as a result.

Restaurant
Ranked as one of the top 10 restaurants in Phuket, Krua Praya Thai Restaurant offers a tantalizing experience for your taste buds with its hot and spicy Phuketian recipes. Indulge in their famous sour Southern fish curry with seasonal vegetables or savor the flavors of stir-fried pork belly with shrimp paste and juicy pineapple. Tucked away like a hidden gem, this place is highly recommended for authentic Thai cuisine.
my local friend here in Phuket told me about this restaurant many many times ago and I did not have a chance to visit until today. First bite i was like whatttttttt its super yummy. One of the top 3 southern cuisine for me. Disclaimer is that it is for people who love strong taste like salty and spicy and sour. If you love those, you would be totally satisfied!

This place left us controversial. The atmosphere was pretty nice, very peranakan style, authentic and just vibe. 🔒However the half of the restaurant was closed, especially the second floor for some reason. 🚽🧻The toilet didn’t have paper neither for hands and for general use at all. 🥘The food was okay. We really enjoyed squid with salted egg sauce and shrimp cakes. Pork and Pad Thai didn’t meet our expectations. Lemonades were cool. I’m not sure I can recommend to COME AND VISIT this place on purpose, but if you live nearby, why not.

The food was excellent! I made a reservation for 5 people via google map chat and it worked well. Turns out that a reservation was not necessary as the restaurant was pretty much empty when we went for dinner. There were 2 people sitting at another table in the garden but we were seated inside so we didn't see them. It was a little odd eating in an empty restaurant but the food was great so that's all that matters right? We tried a bit of everything...soup with coconut milk, pad thai omelette, basil chicken, stir fried pork, curry, pineapple fried rice, etc. We had a slight communication issue trying to explain the difference between flat water and water with gas (carbonated water) but some pictures and google translate, etc. seemed to help. We ordered carbonated water first but the kids wanted flat water so when we ordered flat water, they gave us more carbonated water. But not a big deal. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a nice meal in Phuket. The prices were reasonable and on par for a restaurant of this quality.

Lucky to discover this gem of a restaurant while we were in Phuket. We are big fan of Thai recipes and we wanted to have something authentic Thai food while we are in Thailand. Place-wise, this place is amazing and huge seating capacity with beautiful gardens and small pond filled with colorful fishes. They have tables for couple as well as for small and huge group. We had a couple of beers, chicken starter with something named Krua Praya, yellow curry chicken and pad thai rice noodles with chicken. Staff was sweet and accommodating. And they were open for suggestions too!

Came here on Friday, 20 June 2025 for lunch. Restaurant was quite empty, but yet the order took very long to arrive. I mean there was only 1 other table for 3 gentlemen. The worst part is that we ordered takeaway, some dishes including an omelet crab fried rice but when we got home, it was just plain white rice with an omelet. Our friends who were waiting for the food were so disappointed. Yes I should have checked my order before I left but I don't think I needed to do this for a Michelin guide restaurant.

Hidden gem! Very delicious! highly recommend for some authentic Thai food! It is definitely a place I would bring visitors or go for a good meal! Sorry** could not wait to eat so pardon the half eaten photos!! You have to take the small street beside the temple and go down til you see the sign (as in photos) on the left, well let street and lots of parking ! Note* it also comes up as HomSoi Thai restaurant, maybe that was the old name? But it is the same restaurant!

The food is delicious and the staff ( even though basic English levels) are super service oriented. The location is lovely and quite relaxing , as it never gets too crowded and noisy. The dishes are good size . if you order a rice and a meat/fish is more than enough.
