Rusutsu Amusement Park is part of a vast resort that includes ski slopes, golf courses, and multiple hotels. It's an ideal winter escape for families, offering perfect powder snow and all-round comfort. Located just 90 minutes from New Chitose Airport, it's easily accessible for travelers. The amusement park features a mix of classic old rides and thrilling rollercoasters, making it a must-visit for families and adrenaline-seeking adults.
This amusement park is great! The prices are fair, the attractions are maybe a little old, but still good and fun! And the nature around is just great. Come on, where do you have an amusement park with green mountains around? Definitely recommended! Especially for children.

Fun, small park in majestic mountain area of Hokkaido, Japan. This park is part of the Rusutsu Resort. The park is relatively small with six working roller coasters. Over half of these coasters are classics with a Togo Standup, Togo UltraTwister, Togo Wild Mouse with cars shaped as shoes and Meisho Loop the Loop (think Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop). The park is open for hiking with no admission ticket necessary unless you want to enjoy the rides. During an early summer weekday the park had primarily Japanese families and small groups of polite teenagers enjoying the atmosphere. Some guests dressed up like comic or Hello Kitty characters making the atmosphere more enjoyable.
Steve T — Google review
It was the best place on the world, a paradise. The place was huge with more than 8 roller coasters, each very fun if U like them. Some are small, for young kids, and some are huge like number3 roller coaster, yet it is not the most dreadful one. Number1 has sharp turns, and fast moves, also reaches a high altitude and falls down quickly. It is the most dreadful one. Number 2 loops for at least 10 times and also has a part that literally brings you strait up parallel to the ground and straight down like Ur crashing to death. The food is also fine and there are much more than roller coasters like Mary go round and go karts.
Superuser L — Google review
It has both classic old rides and new trilling rollercoasters. A must visit for families, kids of all ages and grown-ups that want to have a shot of adrenaline. The plus is that the tickets includes a gondola pass up to the mountain to have access to the Mt Yootei and Lake Toya observatory deck.

Rusutsu Amusement Park in Hokkaido is a hidden gem in the prefecture. Even though it is known for its ski resorts, it has some amazing roller coasters that are short and sweet. All the roller coasters have padding to save you from head banging like on Hurricane. Even though all the coasters here like Standing Coaster, Corkscrew, Ultra Twister, and Loop the Loop are fabulous, Hurricane (a Vekoma SLC) is absolutely terrible due to the old trains and terrible track. Rusutsu is an amazing place that I would recommend to anybody in the Hokkaido prefecture. As for the coasters, they have only to classics. The Arrow corkscrew is actually better than most in the US and the Togo Standing Coaster is like a B&M Surf Coaster. The Ultra Twister is better than the others remaining due to the dive loop instead of a stop. Loop the Loop is a Meisho that is basically a Schwarzkopf Looping Star with a pulley instead of a launch. The Mountain Jet Coaster is basically a gigantic mine train with shallow drops. The Go Ho Sneaker is a very cool looking Togo Wild Mouse will turns that aren’t as abrupt as the Zamperla’s. There were two Hello Kitty characters: Kuromi and Cinnamaroll walking around in a costume. They were super funny as they were walking around the whole day in the rain.

Very nice and convenient. Perfect for skiing and having a good time. It’s about 12,000 yen to rent ski gear per day. They have a really nice onsen in the new building. Perfect for families :)

Skied 2 days in March. Missed the fresh powder, but still had fun. Mountains skis larger than it is. Lots of good tree skiing. Nothing to extreme and the immediate trails are really gentle. The resort at the base is straight out of 1985, but in many ways it’s charming. A very family friendly mountain. 3 Gondolas, many covered 4 pack lifts. Cost about $50 a day. The Steamboat Lodge is far and away the best of the bunch. Lots of good mogul skiing. I would go back.

Rusutsu Resort

Ski resort
Rusutsu Resort is a vast 169-hectare terrain with 18 lifts catering to all skill levels, including terrain park enthusiasts. The resort offers 37 trails and boasts a vertical range of 400 meters. Visitors can enjoy long lifts and courses, providing about 1.5 to 2 times the skiing distance compared to other resorts. Despite its popularity among foreigners, the wait for lifts is relatively short.
We had an absolutely perfect holiday here. The resort has everything you could need during your stay to maximize your time in the snow. Lift tickets were easy to collect at the ticket counter and we even did an extra night sesssion. The Japanese restaurant and the taco spot were our favorites as well as the inclusive brunch. Plenty of options to eat, just get there early so you don’t have to wait outside to get a table in the morning because it does get busy! Will def be back, possible every single winter from now on…

It is one of the biggest hotels, with a whole amusement park and a big hotel itself. It has a merry go round inside and more than 5 restraraunts with different cruises . There is also a whole lot of tables for u to play cards and a bunch of shops. There is also a sports ground inside the hotel and 3 baths you can go to. The room is huge, and the food is good, there is even 6 party rooms and bunch of people to help. The place is 👍
Superuser L — Google review
Very large resort with three different mountains and a good variety of trails for all levels as well as lessons and rental available. Recommend booking in rental equipment and your lift passes online as it's cheaper than buying on the day and also saves time. Busy but not crowded at all and lots of free parking available on site.
Bent Z — Google review
Wonderful experience. This place is design for family time even I came with 2 I can see how family can spend time together here, from grand parent to kids. Ski time can be bought in 4 hour (9,200 yen) to one day to a couple day. Equipment and outfit are available for rent in hours (20,600 yen per 5 hours) and also in days. Lockers for one day tripper, 300 yen per open. Food shops are limited, mostly western food like hamburger or pizza. Premium tea and coffee shop is also offered. A couple of cloth and equipment shops, but not much souvenir shops. Free bus available from Sapporo to here, one round trip a day. Fun time.
Sukawat K — Google review
Very beautiful, the food is expensive. To get to the slopes I'd very easy. The winter activity's are also very fun.
Kamaile M — Google review
You can enjoy wide variety of courses with compacted powder snow. I guess this ski resort is biggest with splendid snow in Japan. Niseko is famous for enjoying back country but Rusutsu is for enjoying courses themselves. Everyone from beginner to expert, we can enjoy for skiers and snowboarders. When it’s fine, can see beautiful Mt.Youtei and Niseko, lake Toya from the top of East mountain. It takes about 1.5 hours from Sapporo city, easy to access.
Toshio M — Google review
Great views. Very convenient and easy to come to here. They have free shuttle, you can have a reservation on the website. The quality of the snow is pretty good here, and not crowded.
W — Google review
It was messy and strange to me. As I drove to the resort, I was parked near the ski equipment rental area. After my rentals, I was searching for the gondola/ski lift ticketing booth, which was at another level down, luckily I wasn't wearing ski boots but snowboarding boots, as some area do not allow ski boots to access, which you could not access to the ticketing booth. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, those that I asked for direction vaguely knows where the ticketing booth and the gondola to the east station were. Restaurants were all over the hotel, and I went to the Chinese restaurant which doesn't offer good cuisine.

Scenic spot
Mt. Yōtei Panorama Terrace is a must-visit spot in Hokkaido for capturing breathtaking views of Mt. Yōtei, Lake Toya, and Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Visitors can take a gondola ride to the top and enjoy the stunning scenery while feeling the refreshing breeze. It's recommended to bring water as there are no shops at the summit. The terrace offers an unparalleled view of Mt.
Hokkaido’s Mount Fuji with great panoramic views.

Stay at hotel to buy gondola only tickets. If you don't stay at the hotel, you need to pay full price ~¥8,000 for amusement park ticket to ride the gondola.
Jia G — Google review
We stayed at the resort and came up on a sunny weekday in summer. The view is great and there's no one except us 😁 you don't need to be a hotel guest to come up here, the gondola only ticket pricing is one price for everyone (2000yen) which I think is a little overpriced for the condition of the terrace and the gondola. The resort 1 day ticket is a lot more reasonable though (7000yen for adult) if you have plans to do the amusement park too, and buy it online is even lower priced (6000yen).

KAKASHI

Izakaya restaurant
KAKASHI is a popular restaurant located within the Rusutsu Hotel & Convention resort, offering traditional Japanese tatami mat style dining. The menu features a variety of options including hotpot, sashimi, skewers, and other traditional Japanese dishes. The restaurant tends to get crowded quickly, especially on weekends, so it's advisable to make a booking in advance. While they do not take reservations and queues can be long due to limited space, the service is fast and friendly.
I love the menu here, and came back several times to try as much as I could. Great variety and all of it was delicious! The only thing is I wish I could call and get a place in line rather than walk across the resort to be told to come back in an hour. But the line is there because of the great food so it was always worth the wait.
Eric — Google review
This place doesn’t take reservations so we went at 6pm on Saturday expecting a queue. Surprisingly, they were able to seat us immediately so we didn’t have to wait. You order food via an iPad and there are English translations, which is great for foreigners. Service is also very quick after you place the order. Overall, the food is decent and good value. We went to Uo-Teru the night before and paid twice the amount and we weren’t even full after the meal. The nabe and the potato mochi were the standouts.
Nancy L — Google review
Tucked away in the corner of the hotel we were staying at KAKASHI offers an unexpectedly delightful dinner Loved their sukiyaki added udon in it
ALIEN B — Google review
They do not take reservations and just need to queue to get a table. The restaurant is not big. It is recommended to be there early, otherwise expect to wait for 60 minutes or so. Service is fast, efficient, and friendly. There are many food options from sashimi to hots pot.
William T — Google review
not a bad place for an in-house restaurant, tbh it doesn’t have too much of an izakaya vibe but just a japanese restaurant that serves many varieties of food. the ppl are nice there, very kind and helpful. we ordered a sashimi platter which doesn’t look so amazing in appearance but taste very well, which is a surprise to us. we also ordered some skewers but just normal, not too amazing. lastly we ordered a sukiyaki which was served by the waitress and taste pretty good. one important thing is all the restaurant in the hotel cannot use the ticket coupon, the ticket coupon only works for the fast food and shops inside the hotel, so unless you need to spend a big chunk of money buying stuff in the shop, otherwise there is no point for exchanging the ticket coupon… and that’s one of a reason why i put three stars…
David H — Google review
Service is terribly bad. My table ordered 4 pork cutlets and waited for 1 hour and had to ask one of the staff, turned out it’s sold out. This is such a waste of time, can’t believe this bad service happened in Rusutsu.
Emma M — Google review
Excellent service, foods pretty good. Traditional Japanese tatami mat style dining, with a good range of options, from hotpot, to sashimi, to skewers, to traditional Japanese fare. It's obvious why this is one of the more popular restaurants in the area if you plan to just stay within the hotel for food without travelling too far. Gets crowded pretty quickly over the weekends, so a booking may be required.

Nestled in the picturesque Rusutsu area, The Westin Rusutsu Resort is an elegant high-rise hotel offering bi-level suites and a range of amenities. With 210 spacious rooms across 23 floors, this resort provides top-notch services and signature Westin comforts, making it ideal for families. Additionally, guests can choose from various accommodation options including the Travel Lodge (Annex) and log houses perfect for groups.
We stayed in the newly renovated wing, the room was big and clean. It was great that the restaurant at level 1 provided vegan options and had my favourite cornflakes and truffle fries. Service was amazing, staff could remember our vegan request and was prompt to assist when they noticed that I was cutting fruits to bite size for my toddler.
Sheena L — Google review
We stayed here for one night and the room was nice, clean and big. All the rooms here are duplex, the bedroom is upstairs and the living room and bathroom is downstairs. There are two more beds in the living room. It is big enough for the whole family with two kids. There are two restaurants on site and you can take the little train to the other side of the resort. However, the restaurant over there wasn't really good. If you have a car, you might want to go out to eat. Overall we like it but we didn't try the Onsen this time.
Kitty T — Google review
We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms and found it very pleasant and spacious—great value for money, especially in June which is off-peak. For Japan, the room size is impressively large. A big highlight for us was the theme park just opposite the hotel. Since it wasn’t crowded, we enjoyed multiple rides without queueing. My daughter had an amazing time replaying her favourites over and over. Definitely a huge plus for families with kids! As for the hotel itself, we had read some of the previous reviews before arriving. While we understand a few of the comments made, they didn’t really affect us much during our 4-day stay. Every hotel has its unique layout, and this one is no exception. A couple of things we noticed: The emergency exit door near the bedroom area wasn’t very soundproof. The room layout is split-level, with the entrance and beds on the upper level, and the bathroom and basins on the lower level. So we left our luggage upstairs near the entrance. The bathroom basins were set quite low, which might be a bit awkward for some guests. Personally, we felt that it might have made more sense for the room entrance to be on the lower level. That said, none of these were deal-breakers for us. The stay was still comfortable and enjoyable overall. However, I can imagine that during the winter peak season (like December), the limited dining options in the resort could become a challenge when the hotel is full. It's something worth considering if you're planning a stay during the ski season.
Lina — Google review
The hotel is great for a family stay. Very convenient to the slope too. Not exactly ski in ski out but a close sky train away. Breakfast is awesome but lunch and night offerings are a bit basic. Should refresh their offerings on that front given the rest of Rusutsu resort is doing the same.
L — Google review
The resort grounds are musty, old and dilapidated. The restaurants in the two connected hotels are not good. We stayed one night and decided to leave. The ski slopes were excellent but the ‘resort’ needs an overhaul. Fake, dusty flowers and plants, strange singing cartoon dogs, an odd but pretty carousel in the middle and a run down pool were the amenities. For skiing it’s a yes. For staying and eating it’s a NO.
Debbie B — Google review
We just spent 3 nights here and the highlights were the staff and the buffet! The food was pretty good but the convenience was 5 star for every meal! It made it super easy with my toddler. The rooms were spacious which we appreciated. It was not super clean but ok. The staff was outstanding in every way! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere that took on our issues as their own. Thank you thank you!! My husband got stranded in niseko and they found a taxi when we couldn’t. Also we had to ship ski bag back to the US and they helped us a ton. Literally, best staff of any place I’ve stayed in the world. Thank you again!!! You made everything easy for us. We so appreciate your care.

Just spend 5days in the hotel Room are nice and clean Staff is nice , surprise to see staff is majority of foreigner and they are all nice The resort is mainly golf and skie + attraction park We were with kids and enjoy total 3 adult 3 kids in big 2 bedroom room My kids and wife loved the resort with an old attraction park We didnt feel the fact it is old an issue but can be surprising. Not many people dont need to queue kids enjoy and dont care if new or old Wave pool is great too as the level of water is low you can enjoy with young kids (bad point it open at 2pm , we prefer go to pool at morning) Down part for me is not many restaurant outlet , in the resort some not taste great exept the restaurant / cafe in the attraction park have good food. Restaurant of the hotel we did only buffet it was good morning and diner , restaurant get quickly full when other outlet is closed. Night they change to bar time with advantage for Titanium member. There is 2 convini at walking distance, the 7/11 have pizza and other one have good wine selection

Can't imagine a hotel of this size to have only 2 small restaurants. You have to queue every morning to have your bf. Clearly the establishment cannot cope with the size of the tourist crowd esp during the festive period. Staff on the ground trying their best though and there are many foreign staff that can speak good English. Management should review upgrading the F&B offering and capacity. Not sure if its natural onsen. Apart from that, hotel is relatively good overall. There are a few restaurants down the road but they are expensive. And you wont get a seat if you dont make prior reservation. So please call ahead or have the hotel make the booking on your behalf. Regardless, if you are here for the snow, you will not be disappointed. You could not care less about anything else as its awesome powder from late Dec all the way up till early March.

Rusutsu Ski Resort, located in Hokkaido near Niseko and Sapporo airports, offers an exciting powder skiing and snowboarding experience. The resort features Disneyland-style attractions alongside its beautiful tree runs and stunning views. While not as large as some other resorts, Rusutsu offers plenty of tree areas to explore with easy options for beginners on all chairs.
What an amazing resort! The terrain is incredible. If you enjoy tree skiing this resort is for you! It has one of the most unique tree skiing experiences in the world. I have experienced none better. The trail design is well planned such that all or the lifts place you at the crest of a mountain ridge line. This allows nearly 270 degrees of access which all ends up back at the bottom of a single lift. Throughout of the access there is various levels of enjoyment mixed with incredible scenery and difficulty to enjoy or challenge all levels. Truly an amazing resort. Highly recommended.

What an amazing resort! The Japow here is unbeatable—light, deep, and consistent. If you love tree skiing, this place is a dream. I was a skier-and all slopes were mine because people were mostly in the trees. The terrain is some of the best I’ve ever ridden, with uniquely designed trails that start from ridge lines and fan out across nearly 270 degrees. No matter which line you take, you end up back at the same lift. Stunning views, varied difficulty, and endless fun. Highly recommended! Important- right before sunset temperatures drop and white out is possible. We had a big one on day 2 on second mountain, we asked workers to bring like 30 of us using ski lifts in opposite direction, as we could see more than 10 meters ahead. Was nerve wrecking.
Marta S — Google review
Amazing slopes, with very interesting lines inside the trees. The mountain is not so hifhyand this means that spots are accessible. Almost 0 chances of avalanche and lots of power snow to enjoy. The snow is light, no matter how deep and fresh it is. The pistes are quite good for entry and intermediate level, but that is all. If the weather is clear you can have amazing view of lake Toya and mount Yotei. Also the staff is very friendly.
Apostolos T — Google review
The piste are interesting and great RuPow if there's a dump. Lifts are slow, and the queue is not organised when crowded. As The daylight gets longer every day, and yet the opening time is always at 915am! ByPass signs are after the turn!!! Expensive lift tickets and yet there aren't many free resting/seating places. There's no facilities at the top of gondola. Limited food services hour, they remind you to finish up quickly, chase you out the moment the counter stops selling. Food is pricey and not very tasty. Public KotoBukiNoYu Onsen charge is pricey. The KWP season pass has very limited extra benefits.
Alex ( — Google review
Rusutsu has two main mountains. East and West connect via gondola (very pretty to take across the buildings, open land, and theme park). West mountain is smaller, but most runs connect into the one chair lift. East mountain almost has two sides. Take Mt Isola Gondola to see the views of Lake Toya, Mt Yotei, and the Pacific Ocean. There are a few cafeterias across the mountains. Some wait times in busy periods (no more than 15 minutes). There are plenty of options for all levels (even the intermediate runs are doable for a high level beginner). Several tree run options too (you don’t even need to go back country, they are alongside groomed runs).
Kristina E — Google review
Great resort with a variety of terrain and many gondolas and runs! Also a large park, which had huge jumps. Would recommend going to the West Mountain on powder days to avoid the crowds.
Ming C — Google review
What a cool place to go snowboarding! Wishing for a powder day and didn’t get lucky this time. But you can 100% see the potential of this place and I cannot wait to come back! I also love rollercoasters so it would be amazing to come visit in the summer as well! Looking forward to it! The infrastructure of the ski field is unreal. For the day pass paid it was 100% worth it. The building could use some work… and the convenient someone could close at the same time of the skifield. That would be ideal. I’d prefer to buy a cool sticker at the end of my day not in the middle of my day. No lockers that are good enough like Cortina in Hakuba. Hopefully the renovated soon. But definitely my top ski fields to have visited this trip.

Spent 2 weeks riding in this resort. Although it’s not a big resort, it has some fun trails. In the resort itself on the weekends they offered activities. I took the Sado class and it was such a fun experience! It also has an onsen in the hotel. It’s a great way to relax after a long day of riding!

Rusutsu Resort Golf 72 Izumikawa Course

4.1
(85)
Golf course
Outdoor Activities
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Hokkaido, Rusutsu Resort Golf 72 Izumikawa Course offers a delightful golfing experience for enthusiasts of all levels. This course features two 18-hole layouts, with the Izumikawa Course standing out for its flat terrain and stunning views. While it presents an easy-going playstyle overall, golfers may find the par 3 holes particularly challenging due to their strategic defenses involving sand traps and water hazards.
There are two 18 holes here - Izumikawa and Tower. The Izumikawa Course is relatively flat and plays easy and stress-free. Except for the par 3s which are all well guarded by different combinations of sand, water and/or ravine. The course conditions when we played could be improved. The fairway grass has reached its time to be cut but those on the apron and green were well kempt. So it's a minor quibble. Nevertheless, this course earns top marks for its drainage. Even after heavy rain that lasted about an hour and play was suspended, there was not a single puddle on the fairway when the course reopened. More importantly, the greens maintained their putting integrity. Just like putting in early morning dew. If only all courses play so well after the rain... The Tower Course. As you play the 18 holes on this course, you are treated to amazing views of the surrounding mountains that bear several ski slopes in winter. Before the snow falls, the ski slopes look like ribbons of green velvet unfurling from the summit, rippling their way down to the bottom. What a sight it would be in winter when everything turns into a snowy wonderland. But I digress. Just like the other two courses that we played in Rusutsu Resort (Wood and Izumikawa), the Tower course has very similar playing conditions. Which is a good thing. This is to be expected because the weather and soil conditions are similar and all four courses are maintained by the same crew of care takers. But Tower has its nuances that set it apart. The signature par 4 Hole 18 dog legs right almost 90 degrees. To regulate, you need a long tee off so that your second shot has a line to the green. But you still have to hit it high and long to carry a cluster of trees and plants rising from a small ravine. Alternatively, send your ball left of the ravine and hope your subsequent approach shot lands near the hole for a par putt. Fortunately, not all the holes are so demanding. Still, scoring well requires that you focus on focussing and not let your mind wander to the mountains all around. It helps if you had Jedi training.
K.Y. C — Google review
It's a resort area and the grass is well maintained❤️The fairway is wide and it's fun to hit it with all your might(≧∇≦)The short holes are long enough that even ladies can hit it on one if they have a driver😆But you should train your mentality so you don't get killed by the visualꉂꉂ🤣w𐤔𐤔w If I had to say one drawback, it would be that you should wipe the club yourself🙄 So I gave it 4 stars. Too bad.

And, there is a hall where you can play with foxes. The fox family is slowly following them, as if they know that people are feeding them. It's a fun memory. However, there are no lockers, and you have to pay 100 yen to shower at the Westin Hotel, which is a bit far away. Of course, there is no restaurant. (Translated by Google) A memorial statue of the girl from the nursery rhyme ``Akai Shoes'' has been erected in ``Akai Shoes Park'' in a corner along National Route 230. ``Red Shoes'' is a girl in the lyrics of a nursery rhyme that everyone knows✌️. The monument in this park was built in November 1991 in the image of a girl (Kimi-chan). The lyrics you know are about the feelings of a mother who left her young daughter (Kimi Sano) with an American missionary in order to join a pioneer farm in Rusutsu Village, and spends the rest of her life worrying about her daughter. Mr. Ujo Noguchi was announced as ``Red Shoes''✌️. The village of Rusutsu, which is involved in the development, has also been erected a statue of the girl with red shoes as a place of connection. The girl's mother was Kayo Iwasaki, who thought her daughter had gone to the United States and lived there for the rest of her life, but in reality she was only 9 years old in an orphanage due to illness. Statues of girls with red shoes have been erected in Hakodate and Otaru in Hokkaido. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can picture the healthy girl and her mother patiently waiting in the clearing, even though we're visiting together. By the way, according to the document, there are seven statues of Kimi-chan, the girl with red shoes, all over the country, including three in Hokkaido, where her mother, Kayo, is also located. I also saw a document that states that a monument to the song Red Shoes has been erected at Yamahana Park in Sapporo. I would like to visit if I get a chance. According to the source, she moved to Hokkaido, married Suzuki, and then moved to the Yamahana area. (Translated by Google) 20250310 "Rusutsu Onsen". This is a small village-run hot spring located a little off National Route 230 between Rusuto and Toya. There is a small signboard at the entrance of the national highway, but be careful as you are likely to miss it. There are approximately 9 parking spaces. Opened in 2000 and expanded in 2007, the facility is still new, clean and well-maintained. Immediately after entering through the entrance, there is a small rest area in front of the front desk, and then there is a changing room. The bathhouse has only four indoor mixing faucets and one indoor bath, and there is no outdoor bath. The spring quality is a hypotonic, weakly alkaline, high-temperature sodium-chloride/bicarbonate hot spring, which is what is called a sodium bicarbonate/salt spring. Perceptually, it is slightly greenish-yellow, transparent, slightly salty, slightly golden, almost odorless, and has a thickening effect on hot water. The spring temperature is 44.0℃ and pH 7.5. In addition to the main ingredients, it contains Ca, Mg, K, and a small amount of divalent iron, and meta-silicic acid and meta-boric acid are above standard values, making it a skin-beautifying hot spring that keeps your skin moisturized, warm, and repaired. Business hours are 11:00-21:00. Adults: 500 yen (over 65 years old: 300 yen). There are no shoe racks, only shelves, and there are no lockers in the changing room, but you can use the valuables locker in front of the front desk for free. There were no amenities such as body soap or shampoo, but only one hair dryer. Villagers can enter for 300 yen, so I'm jealous. When I visited, everyone seemed to be locals. Also, the mother at the front desk looked tough at first glance (sorry!), but she was actually a very kind person. Restaurant
Cafeteria Isola 2000 is a large self-service restaurant in Rusutsu, offering mainly Japanese dishes and featuring the K Lounge where visitors can pay an entrance fee to relax. It's known for its reliable pork katsu curry and offers more than other on-mountain restaurants, including baked mochi desserts and a delicious pork soup. The cafe provides a nice break during skiing with a view of the steep pistes and trees.
It's a nice cafe to take a break during your ski session. I think from the other Rusutsu resort mountain cafes, this cafe is the nicest. Has a nice view of the steep pist and trees. Didn't taste the food, but from what I could see was nothing the extraordinary but rather similar to what the other cafes of the resort serve. Fast food kind of dishes. It is, however, quite a spacious place, so you can always find some corner to yourself.

This used to be a Family friendl Restaurant with japanese food: ramen, some other dishes - Just affordable and tasty food. Now this is just a Bad Joke. The Prices are ridiculous high. Portions aren't big, and taste isn't even that good. Apparently this happens when American Investors destroy the Soul of a japanese Ski Area. They cut down on seats but hey there is now Champagne and lobster. I suggest to avoid this Restaurant at any Cost. Btw you have to get the food on your own and Bring the plates back by yourself. Food is more into Burgers and Steaks. Last year it was all japanese and 100% better. There aren't even chopsticks at this Restaurant. On the picture you can See a Side Portion of Fries for 12$. Ridiculous.

Semi-fancy base station restaurant serving milk based coffees and hot chocolate at the bar. Some nice desserts as well. Ask for a picture of them, they have a print with their selection. Apparently it was more like a basic cafeteria before and they somewhat upgraded the appeal.

Completely overpriced, welcome to hyperinflation & GreediFlation, food is so so. Small portions too. Self service and self clean up. Better to skip here, take the gondola out. Avoid

They’ve changed it from a family canteen with affordable (for ski slopes) japanese food, to a fake tacky expensive western style cafeteria. They’ve added a strange divider where you are sequestered from seeing the ski slope, The portions are small and completely overpriced. Do not recommend.

Good, reliable lunch spot , one of 4 on-mountain/ next to lift options on the whole Rusutsu mountain. Very reliable pork katsu (like a Japanese-style schnitzel) curry. In fact, it taste the same across the whole resort. This place has a bit more than the other three restaurants: There's a couple of baked mochi dessert which was ok. A pork soup which was delicious. There is also a few gachapon machines (little capsules with a toy inside) and a couple of arcade games near the bathroom.

Great little spot for lunch. Limited variety but enough to keep you going. Beer machine curry and rice. Happy days.

Nice area for Lunch, enough seats also for larger groups. Food was really good, you can choose between various meals. Ramen was really tasty. Price is also OK (Miso Ramen 1.300JPY).
