Nitra in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Nitra, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Nitra is one of Slovakia’s oldest cities, dominated by Nitra Castle and its hilltop cathedral overlooking the town and surrounding countryside. It played a key role in early Slavic and Great Moravian history, which you can explore in local museums and archaeological sites. The compact center offers baroque churches, pleasant squares, and cafés, while nearby Zobor Hill provides accessible hiking trails and panoramic views. Nitra also hosts cultural and student events tied to its universities, giving the city an active, youthful atmosphere.
With favorites like Kebab pri Progresi, Nitra Gallery, and Church of Saints Peter and Paul, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Tatami Japan Restaurant Nitra and Castellum Cafe so you can get the best taste of Nitra while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Sights & Landmarks
Nitra Castle, an imposing 11th-century fortress situated on a limestone rock surrounded by the Nitra River, is a significant cultural heritage site. The castle, along with the Upper Town, forms a Town Conservation Reserve and boasts hilltop views and a cathedral at its core. This historic precinct defended the city in ancient times and features 16th-century ramparts and bastions.
The surroundings are beautifully maintained, and the views from the castle are offering a panoramic glimpse of the city and beyond. The church frescoes were truly fabulous, showcasing intricate details and a rich sense of history. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or just someone looking for a peaceful and picturesque spot, Nitra Castle offers an unforgettable experience.

Long walk up a steep hill, historical and that's it. €1 gets you a photo opportunity of the entire city and a look in a quite lovely cathedral. All done in 30 minutes easy.
Anthony W — Google review
This looks like a castle, but it is more of a history of bishops and some very old artifacts! We loved the museum as there were items dating back to the 800's! I have never seen items this old before. We can't take pictures, so you need to visit if you like church history

Nitra Castle is a lovely and peaceful place to visit. Set on a hill above the town, it offers beautiful views and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The area around the castle is surprisingly green and well-maintained, making it perfect for a quiet walk or some time to unwind. The historic architecture adds a special charm, and it’s easy to feel the centuries of history in the air. It’s not overcrowded, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for those looking for a peaceful and scenic spot in Nitra.

The Basilica of Saint Emeram, nestled within the historic Nitra Castle, is a treasure trove of religious heritage and architectural beauty. As the oldest bishopric site in Slovakia, dating back to the 9th century, this stunning basilica showcases an impressive blend of Baroque style intertwined with remnants of Romanesque and Gothic influences. Visitors can marvel at its rich history while exploring numerous relics from revered saints such as St. Cyril and St. John Paul II.
The most stunningly beautiful cathedral I’ve ever visited. Breathtaking. A definite must visit!

Interesting historical documents in the museum nearby. The most impressive in the church is the fresco found in 2011.

St. Emmeram's Cathedral in Nitra, located in the Nitra castle. Cathedral is a home to many relics of saints (St. Cyril, St. Clement of Ohrid, St. John of Nepomuk, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. George, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Thomas Becket, St. John Paul II, etc.). Place to visit when exploring the castle.
Daniel H — Google review
Beautiful church. We had the opportunity to watch a famous slovak band singing folk and Christmas songs.
Martin A — Google review
Pretty awesome to see. 1 euro entrance for the basilica and castle. If you pay an additional 2 euros you can walk to the very top to get a nice view of the city. Plan to spend about 45 minutes to an hour.
Michael ( — Google review
This oldest bishop site in Slovakia (since 9th century) offers to see a barroque style basilica that has visible roots in much older structures of roman and gotic style. Visit the tower. It offers nice view on city of Nitra.

It's the cradle of church in Slovakia, because inside of the St. Emmeram's Cathedral is the Pribina Chapel, which is the first church in East Europe.

(Translated by Google) Very nice theater and quality performance of the actors in the play "Testosterone", we had a good laugh 😂 There is only one thing to think about. During the 15-minute break, not all guests who waited in a long line for the buffet were served... Well, 5 minutes before the end of the break, the usher came with a big bell and chased us into the theater hall like sheep, which was downright disgusting 👎 We enjoyed the theater and that was important. No a 5 minút pred koncom prestávky chodila uvádzačka s veľkým zvoncom a zaháňala nás do divadelnej sály ako ovce, čo bolo priam protivné 👎 Divadlo sme si užili a to bolo podstatné.

The Nitra Synagogue, a Slovak cultural monument dating back to 1911, is a remarkable example of Art Nouveau architecture designed by Lipot Baumhorn. This synagogue stands as a symbol of the city's rich Jewish history and culture. While its exterior resembles grand synagogues in the former Habsburg Empire, the interior is more modest but still worth exploring. Recently restored, it features Moorish and Byzantine decorations.
Awesome interior with Hebrew written texts on the wall. Synagogue tour with 8 minute video presentation dealing with architecture, interior visualisations and current purpose of the synagogue. Possible to get upstairs to a section for jewish women, where is another exhibition.

The Slovak Agricultural Museum, located in Nitra, is a fascinating destination for those interested in the agricultural history and rural traditions of Slovakia. The museum boasts indoor galleries showcasing prehistoric farming roots, agricultural motifs in Slovak art, and traditional handicrafts. Visitors can explore a wide array of farming equipment and machinery, including vintage threshers, seeders, tractors, harvesters, and even an aircraft used for crop-dusting.
Super muzeum! Tie stroje su super.

(Translated by Google) We visited it here during the exhibition Agrokomplex 2022. The museum area is spacious and breathes history. There is an open-air museum, steam agricultural machines, and probably the main draw is the field railway. I just wish that it would be improved and maintained here for the next generations and that everything would not be looked at only through money. Nitra deserves it (Original) Navštívili sme to tu počas výstavy Agrokomplex 2022. Areál múzea je priestranný a dýcha históriou. (Translated by Google) I rate it negatively because of the opening hours. I think that museums, monuments, and galleries should be open mainly on weekends, and be more accessible to the general public. This is a living example of management not being able to adapt to demand, this is not how tourism is done. The area itself is spread over a large area, there is peace and a pleasant atmosphere. The open-air museum would need an investment (Original) Hodnotím negatívne kvôli otváracej dobe. Skanzen by potreboval už investíciu

Sushi restaurant
Tatami Japan Restaurant Nitra offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with amiable staff, delectable cuisine, and an extensive menu. Customers can enjoy a wide range of options, including special rolls, poke bowls, and curry dishes. The restaurant's ambiance is both cozy and visually appealing. Patrons can choose to dine in or opt for takeout services. Additionally, the establishment serves their own unique ginger lemonade which comes highly recommended.
Wonderful sushi and peaceful atmosphere. Waitress was very kind. After an order our food came quickly and it was super. Taste was fresh. And Bartender made nice drinks with natural flavours.
Joonas T — Google review
We have visited this restaurant several times already. We never were disappointed and there were no issues lastly without one exception. Our order was a hot pot with two types of soups. The service was attentive, quick and responsive. The waitress explained quite thoroughly how to deal with the Hot Pot. Unfortunately there is one issue which we cannot overlook. We didn't even see the mineral water's bottle cap. During recent times soft drinks have significantly become more expensive including the mineral waters. The measures of the Slovak Government to close the gap between the budget incomes vs government spendings (so called consolidation package) have dramatically increased the prices of eating out. It is possible to imagine that you can expect tap water in your Rajec mineral water paying 1.80 Euros for a glass without seeing any bottle caps. I cannot prove the tap water story but transparency would be highly advisable in such cases avoiding misunderstanding. Rajec brand also can also suffer from a bad reputation.
Endre S — Google review
Bland but beautifully presented and appointed. Great service. If you’re new to sushi, this would be a lovely introductory experience. I had a drink, the salmon set and mango sticky rice pudding. It all came to about €30. Very reasonable.
Ms_Rimi — Google review
This was quite a disappointing experience. Expectations were higher due to the positive reviews and the food was unfortunately just blah. Absolutely tasteless veggie gyoza. Pad thai was also lacking in flavor, the portion was quite small and there were very little noodles. It was not mixed through which was also weird. Sushi was okay, liked their ginger. But the avocado was hard and the ends of the beef roll were very sloppy. Tom tum soup was good. Overall the quality should be much higher considering their expensive prices.
Dominika N — Google review
We go here religiously EVERY WEEK with my girlfriend, we love the staff and don’t even get me started on the food. i’ve always enjoyed any food i’ve had even though i have problems with trying new flavours. i know i can trust this place with my food :)))

This place was everything I’ve ever wanted in food. I can’t handle spices, but the level of the spice I’ve got in this dish was immaculate! Just about well to keep me full; I also got served chopsticks as well with a fork. Which I highly appreciated but I only used the chopsticks this whole time - scraped out the last bits. I 100% recommend this, if you’re looking to get well fed with a delicacy as such, which I had. There’s multiple dishes on the menu which range in options too, it gets pricey but it was all worth it. I’ll be coming again

Excellent Dining Experience with a View! I had an absolutely wonderful dinner here with a group of colleagues recently, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is truly beautiful, right next to Nitra Castle, which adds a fantastic ambiance to the whole experience. The menu, while not extensive, clearly focuses on quality over quantity. Each dish we tried was well-prepared and demonstrated a clear dedication to good food. A particular highlight for me was the tartare – it was truly excellent! Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for delicious food in a stunning setting near Nitra Castle.

Italian restaurant
Tratorria Moretti Restaurant, located in the heart of Nitra, is a delightful Italian eatery with a wide variety of dishes. Although not a fan of pasta, I found their fettuccine with octopus to be exceptionally tasty. The staff's demeanor varied, with one being friendly while another was distant. However, given their busy nature and the restaurant's size, it was understandable. The extensive menu offers something for everyone at reasonable prices.
Good, big portion size, good price

Quite nice italian restaurant in heart of Nitra. I am not a fan of pasta but the fettuccine with octopus was really good. The staff was a mixed bad. One nice, one cold. But they were really bussy. Menu is big, prices are ok and restaurant is nice and clean. But it needs some renovation. Despite being quite big and in a part of town were are many restaurants, the restaurant was full.
Ján P — Google review
Food bland and boring, service arrogant and the place a bit worn down. Also, they were out of several key ingredients and the potatoes tasted old. Very far from genuine Italian cuisine.
Susanne L — Google review
Everything was great, food awesome but a bit hot. We ordered blankets, and waiter forgot to bring them.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The stuff was more than lovely and helpful. We ordered steak with Italian red wine and it was exactly what we imagined. We will definitely return here.
Radoslav H — Google review
Just a typical "Italian" tourist trap restaurant. Service is basically non existing and most of the staff lack the basic English skills. Many dishes on the menu they don't have but the waitresses don't know this, instead they come back to to later and ask to order something else. Saw this happen on the several neighboring tables as well. Food was eatable but nothing special or specially well made. Tried pizza and some chicken, both were try and boring. They are also surprisingly eager to take away your plate before you are finished although there are empty tables around.

Hamburger restaurant
URGERBURGER, a hamburger restaurant in Nitra town, is known for its friendly waitstaff and adequately sized and flavored burgers. The seating, however, can be a bit too elevated for some customers' liking. The potato chips served at URGERBURGER are crispy and satisfying. Unfortunately, one disappointing aspect of the dining experience is that the restaurant refuses to provide forks and knives due to concerns about scratching the serving plates.
Best street music in the city! Food is great. The homemade sauce is amazing! Joseph is so friendly and pleasant to talk with! He deserves a pay raise!!!!!

I'm not much of burger guy these days, but boy, this burger place is something! The burger (teriyaki), the fries and the sweet chili sauce was epic! Staff was plenty nice, 11 out of 10, definitely a place to drop by to grab some tasty food!
Szilveszter G — Google review
I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Let's start with the vibe - place is clean, cozy, with barstool seating. We were greeted and handed the menus right when we arrived and we also got complimentary snacks to make the waiting shorter. That was not needed at all as the food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. The burger was otherworldly. Homemade bun was perfect, the meat was so good it would taste great also just by itself, and the toppings were complimenting each other perfectly. I took the sweet potato fries which had the great amount of crunch; with the honeymustard sauce it was a great combo. Their homemade drinks are a good deal and they are not overly sweet as a Coke. Definitely a great contender for the best burger in the city. Delivery, payment by card, bathrooms all available. Definitely recommend dining in as the service is very kind and speedy.
Adriana G — Google review
We were welcomed by friendly waiter. Seating is bit too high. Burger was adequately sized and flavored. Potato chips were crispy. One disappointed factor was that they refused to give us fork and knife with reasoning that it would scratch the serving plate... I don't see any reason why you should use scratch prone serving...

I got the Hot & Spicy burger combo with sweet potato fries and honey mustard sauce plus onion rings as an extra. Everything was incrediblely tasty! This is one of those places that I would make my regular go-to's if I was living in Nitra, but I will make sure to always come for a visit for a burger everytime I pass through or have a stay in Nitra in the future. All within 15 minutes I received menues for ordering, drinks and 2 burger combo meals plus onion rings, so super fast service. The service was amazing and staff amazingly nice and polite, I could not tell you a bad thing about the whole experience because there are not. Payment by cash and card is possible. Restrooms are available. Delivery is available but dining in is recommended since the service is absolutely amazing!

For day 2, we recommend exploring the west side side of town. Start the day off with Agrokomplex, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to St. Martin Church. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Update: September 2022 - some bits have been upgraded, kids loved the animals in the August Agrokomplex exhibition. It’s a great place for exhibitions, family place with kids etc. But it need re-furbishment as it’s fairly old - esp the ABC pavilion. Went there for a dog exhibition & it was lovely. Nice day out.

Exhibition center in the city of nitra with a traditional touch from the time when it was planned and constructed in the golden era of communism. Easy parking, toilets a number of halls, toilets, slovak refresment booths and pernament garden.

The facilities were fine. My problem was with buying tickets online. I bought a 4 day ticket for the YGAMES event/autoshow online for 19€. The first day I went, the machine would not accept the QR code on the ticket I was emailed. Luckily, one of the workers saw my troubles and let me in. On the next day, I did not get the same treatment, and had to buy a day ticket for 8€. I was not able to explain the situation to someone as I dont speak Slovak and the workers didnt speak anything I speak. On the third day, I again had to buy another day ticket for 8€. The event itself was actually great, but WHY does the ticket website sell tickets that DONT WORK? I spent 19€ for something that should've lasted the whole weekend, but had to spend an additional 16€ because it never even worked to begin with.

Not a very nice exhibition center. The parking is not automated (ramp, ticketing, licence plate camera, parking machine) but is very slow on gate B2 done by humans. Parking lot B2 has no lines so it is very ineffective. The exhibition halls are old with main electrical switch accessible for any random visitor.

There was a problem with the navigation in google maps initially, we then had to switch to waze in order to find the enterance. After we have arrived there was no problem with parking alongside the road. We were on a musical performance, all awesome.

Botanical garden
The Botanical Garden SPU, situated in the heart of Nitra, is a vast green space divided into several sections, each with its own significance. It showcases thousands of plant species both indoors and outdoors. Located within the Slovak University of Agriculture's premises, it offers a diverse range of plants and activities for families and children. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful flowers and trees while taking a peaceful stroll or having a picnic. This hidden gem is free to visit but has specific opening hours.
Lovely garden to walk around, admire flowers, plants, reminders. They regularly do activities for families & children - we came for a Halloween. In summer there are many beautiful flowers & trees, lovely place to sit down & chill, maybe have a picnic. It’s a hidden gem, not many know about it. We love it. There’s no toilet ( except the bushes) but it’s totally child/buggy & wheel chair friendly. Recommended x

Restaurant
Loco Burgers & Sandwiches is a burger joint in Nitra that offers a variety of burgers, wraps, and other snacks. While some customers found the food to be decent and reasonably priced, others were more impressed with the selection and quality of the offerings. The menu includes options like pulled duck wrap and various sandwiches, making it an ideal spot for a quick bite or fast food fix.
It was a very tasty chicken sandwich, the service was nice and helpful. It's in a food court in a shopping center so it was a bit loud.

Located in n centre Nitra, we ordered 2 burgers as two small menus, laid 16 eur, what is frankly really high price, burgers where ok fries as well, but relating to price, it doesnt work.
Bereczkym — Google review
We had Sunday meal which offers two menus for 10 euros. That's a good value. Fries were bit too dry, my sauce was too liquidish, it was dripping from fries when put in. I liked the bun, but the meat was just all right, nothing memorable. Best part of it all was the waitress, she was very cute. I also appreciate the fact they serve mirinda instead of Fanta. I like the concept, and they rich menu with snacks also available but quality of food should improve.
Lukas J — Google review
A decent burger place. Not the best I have visited but certainly above the average, especially for a bar at the mall. Selection is decent, although a naming convention for sandwiches is a bit blurry. You should be able to find something you like, want or have a craving for. 4 star review mostly because of the bun which did not suited my taste, but you know how it is with opinion, get your own.

For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Via Ferrata Zobor. Not quite as popular as Nitra Castle, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Mountain peak
Zobor Mountain is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities for hiking, biking, and photography. The summit features transmission towers and provides stunning panoramic views of Nitra and its surroundings. Visitors can enjoy pleasant walks in the landscape park and explore the instructive path Zobor. The area also includes a viticultural part with inviting taverns where travelers can sample local wine.
From small parking place located on Podhajska and Bukova streets in Nitra, you hike uphill following blue or red tourist marking. Red is bit longer but wider, blue is stepper and more challenging . Good shoes, snack, water and rain coat if any surprise comes from weather. You can include in your itinerary to climb via ferrata Zobor but you need to have ferrata kit (possible to rent in ARTin pension near by). Great view on the top (500m+ above see level), 45min hike for normal pace
Ma ( — Google review
Decent hike, followed the red trail for the easier option but was still fairly challenging. My friend wore normal adidas trainers however I would recommend something more sturdy. Amazing views from the top of all of Nitra
Andy H — Google review
Great hike to get to the top - some parts are more challanging then the others, but you can find plenty of benches where you can stop to have some rest or even a picnic along the way. You will have amazing views from the top, I’d say it’s definitely worth it.

Via Ferrata Zobor is a challenging and steep terrain with loose rocks, located near ARTin pension. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the ferrata by following the blue markings on a forest road. The ferrata offers great views of Nitra's city surroundings at the top. It is recommended for hiking and enjoying a barbecue while watching the sunset from the peak.
Renting ferrata kit possible in in near by ARTin pension, parking on cross road of Podhajska and Bukova street, the parking is rather limited for 10-12 cars and streets are very narrow. You hike following blue marking and reach ferrata in 40 minutes, it is rather steep and challenging terrain with loose rocks in forest road. Ferrata has the difficulties B to C. On the top you have great view to whole Nitra's city surrounding. Good shoes, snack, water needed, not recommended when it rains or after rain, it is slippery
Ma ( — Google review
A lovely place to hike and see the entire city from top. You can also do a barbecue on top. Also go to watch the sunset from top.

Zobor monastery

Historical landmark
Nestled in the picturesque valley beneath Zobor Hill lies the historic Zobor Monastery, also known as the Benedictine monastery of St. Hippolytus. Established in the 9th century, around 880 AD, it stands as one of Slovakia's oldest monasteries and is a testament to rich history and spirituality. A short five-minute walk through a serene forest from nearby parking leads you to this tranquil site, perfect for those seeking both relaxation and reflection amidst nature.
TV Tower, Nice to walk, good exercise, unfortunately coffee shop was not open up to 10hrs.
Movva C — Google review
Amazing and quite well hidden history of the city. Most people bypass this place on their way up to the radio tower, but to truly undertand Nitra you need to visit the Zobor Monastery. It's a quick bus ride from the city center right opposite Tesco, and takes about 25 minutes to thelast stop "Zoborská Nemocnica", when you get off you back track a little down a slope and follow the signs. It's so rare for buildings like these to get another chance, since for decades this place had been in a catastrophic state. There are explanation boards all around the place, and no ticket stands! Be respectful when visiting it's still a church ❤️

(Translated by Google) Zoborský Monastery is located in the immediate vicinity of the health resort, which is relatively easy to access through the forest. There are navigation boards available that provide information about tourist attractions, routes and their total duration. The ruins of the Monastery itself offer very interesting architectural treasures, and you will also find a space reserved for mass, with the possibility of sitting on several benches. The place is ideal for every lover of history and clean, well-maintained nature that surrounds you on all sides. Information boards with photographs also bring interesting knowledge from the past, which every visitor will appreciate. The area also includes various games that can be tried for free, and a few meters away there is a children's sandbox. The place definitely caught my attention, it had a very pleasant and calming impression on me. If the weather is nice, I definitely recommend a trip to this unique place and I would be happy to return here in the near future. Access is not barrier-free and there are also problems with poor mobile signal quality. Which is understandable, given the area. Entry and movement within the entire area is free, and there is also a small information booth. Nitra Gallery

Art gallery
Nitra Gallery is a cultural gem located in the heart of the city, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary art including paintings, sculptures, and installations. The gallery offers three exhibition spaces and a stunning concert hall where classical music concerts are held. Despite its small size compared to the building, it hosts various interesting and diverse exhibitions throughout the year. Additionally, visitors can enjoy workshops, lectures, and discussions at this beautiful local art gallery and museum in Nitra's Lower Town.
Beautiful place❣️

The gallery is great, however the gallery is small compared to the size of the building. Every exhibition is somewhere else, where the personal have to take you and open it. It is really not wheelchair friendly, prepare for quite a stairs and unfortunately no English (or it was just our luck :).

(Translated by Google) One of the best places for serious culture in Nitra. They have 3 spaces for exhibitions, and a beautiful concert hall, where concerts of mainly serious music are held. Exhibitions are often interesting and diverse. And if I compare it with other galleries, it will match! And of course there are various workshops, lectures, talks. Don't hesitate and come here ;) (Original) Jedno z najlepších miest na serióznu kultúru v Nitre. Maju 3 priestory na výstavy, a krásnu koncertnú sálu, kde sa konajú koncertu prevažne vážnej hudby. Výstavy byvaju zaujímavé a rôznorodé. A pokiaľ to porovnám s ostatnými galeriami tak sa vyrovná!A samozrejme sú rôzne workshopy, prednášky, besedy. Neváhajte a príďte tu ;)

(Translated by Google) Very nice premises, when I was there the exhibitions were brutal, especially the 60th anniversary exhibition... considering how much the building affected me, I would have welcomed more exhibitions, there were only about 3-4. I don't know what kind of collection the Nitra gallery owns, but if there was a permanent exhibition of Slovak modern art there, that would be pretty cool... I also particularly liked the fact that my aunt (who was very nice) had to open the individual exhibitions for me separately, otherwise I recommend it to all nine (Original) Velmi pekne priestory, v case ked som tam bol tak boli brutaalne vystavy, najma vystava k 60. vyrociu… na to ako velko na mna ta budova posobila by som ale uvital viac vystav, boli tam asi iba 3-4. Neviem teda aku zbierku nitrianska galeria ma vo svojom vlastnictve, ale keby tam bola stala expozicia slovenskej moderny, to by bolo dost cool…zvlastne mi taktiez prislo, ze jednotlive vystavy mi musela teta (ktora bola velmi mila) samostatne otvarat, inac fakt ze odporucam vsetkymi deviatimi

History Museums
The Ponitrianske múzeum v Nitre is a charming museum that may seem spacious from the outside, but disappointingly small on the inside. Visitors are required to pay an additional fee for taking photographs, which can be seen as unfavorable in a tourist destination. Nonetheless, this museum offers a wealth of information about the region of Nitra and each tour is conducted privately, allowing visitors to have their own personal guide for a minimal cost.
Very small but very informative museum about region of Nitra, every tour is done privately as visitors are coming so you get your own personal guide for a ridiculously small fee.

Playground
A wonderful place for children. Playground, skateboard/bicycle area, basketball, climbing frames, sand - just amazing. Very suitable for children. Always opened, easily accessible, parking around. There’s Coop supermarket near by soupy can buy drinks & food. Cannot wait to go back - the only thing missing is toilets ( at least haven’t seen any). There’s a little pub near by ( haven’t been) maybe but a drink & pop in there.

Good place for kids-learning/play zone. based on learning traffic rules but not limited to as there is a regular playground on site as well. No direct traffic in area. Familly pub nearby as well. Can do with small repairs and possibly adding a traffic lights for added value

With outdoor seating available, it's an ideal spot to savor your beverages. Visitors have praised the well-balanced espresso shots and kind service, making it a must-visit destination in Nitra.
It's a cute café. Capuccino is so nice. The stuff is kind. There's a Hungarian guy who with we colud talk.

Very cozy coffee spot, they also had an interesting offer of cocktails which we unfortunately didn’t try. Nice and fast service. Lots of plant milk options. Coffee was okay.
Dominika N — Google review
Nice café with mediocre service. It took forever to get the menu after we arrived in an empty shop. Empties were not collected from tables for a extended time period. My mom's coffee arrived with lots of unknown debris on her tray. The place would be much better if the staff was picked based on skills instead of looks.

Nestled in a charming courtyard, Keltský Gril is a hidden gem that promises an inviting dining experience. While it may take some effort to locate, the journey is well worth it once you step inside. The restaurant boasts a warm ambiance and stylish decor that showcases excellent interior design. Guests often rave about the friendly staff who are eager to offer recommendations, enhancing your culinary adventure.
Half an hour before closing, and they didn't complain. Three person, non of them talked Slovak. No issue. Super service, super atmosphere. Food: Bryndzovy halusly-as you can expect, no problem. Duck breast on sweet potato mash-my best duck breast in a restaurant, and I've eaten a few hundreds of it already. Even not pink, still juicy and not dry.

Food is amazing ate here for lunch it was spot on and amazing , dinner was different everything was great but ordered medium rare ribeye and got the over cooked shoe leather...the rest of the meal tasted great. Flavor of the meat was also good bit again tough. This place is a hidden gem for food and I recommend trying it out .
Jessica H — Google review
Keltský Grill is a very welcoming and good located Restaurant. It's a little hard to find but once you find it, it will be totally worth it. We were very impressed by the friendliness of the waiter. In our case, the waiter even made recommendations, which unfortunately is becoming increasingly rare. The food was excellence' and we really liked the decor of the Restaurant. This is interior design at its finest. 🤝🏻 Only the timing of the dishes has been not good. Unfortunately, the starters overlapped with the main course.
Sven S — Google review
The food was very good, they have a wide variety of food and beverages (try Vinea, a Slovak made non alcoholic wine or similar derived from grapes, though this beverage is of course not specific to this place) on offer. There is also a vaulted bar in the basement, which connects to the restaurant and shares the restroom. The staff was young and spoke English. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.
Michael ( — Google review
Tucked away in a courtyard. Lacks atmosphere on a quiet night, euro dance hits echoing about, but cheap and substantial. Pleasant staff. Bryndzové sauce on pearl barley was good and the pork loin went well, but gravy was cold. Would return but not immediately.

I have visited this place two times, with my family. I can surely say they have amazing food. Meat is cooked the best possible. Excellent stuff, especially a waiter, Patrik, who was really nice and helped us choose the right meals. He is really good at guessing what people would like to eat, according to their taste. Once more, me and my family 100% enjoyed our time here.

We were several times here and the food, atmosphere, and service was great. You can eat inside or outside depend on weather. Nice place under hill Zobor (old low station of lift to Zobor). Prices for daily menu are fair comparing service and quality. Prices from menu list maybe little bit higher, but this can be expected in these times. There is lot of parking spaces but will rrquire some reconstruction near furure.

Ok. the Exterior is nothing special and you can easily overlook it. The Interior seems fancy at first glance but then you notice that appliances are showing signs of wear. The food was great. Maybe next time check microphone batteries before the big banquet.

I liked this restourant alot. I go there eventually thru the summer they have pizza and its rly good! But i was there recently and when i was looking at the lunch menu they didnt have alomst any vegetarian food! I was pretty dissapointed. I ended up having salad and instead of meet i had mozarela. I also had ice-cream it was delicious! But the raspberry topping was too cold. it was supposed to be hot. It alsomt froze my brain. Overall i liked it
