Tatralandia is a year-round water park that offers both indoor and outdoor pools, thrilling rides, and various slides. It's an ideal destination for a hot summer day with its fun rides, water slides, tubing wave pool, and wave machine. The park also features a children's pool to keep the little ones entertained. Additionally, during winter when skiing conditions are unfavorable, Tatralandia serves as a great alternative with access available using skipass.
The water park is very cool and very big. There are many water slides and many pools. There is also an indoor part of the water park but the bigger part is the outdoor one. The water park is in a beautiful spot. Where you see the beautiful mountain scenery. The water park is a little crowded but is still great.

Fantastic place to go with our boys of 8, 9 and 12 yrs old. With so many slides you can gradually build up the difficulty level. Personal favorite: Flamingo. Also had some good food from the grill 😋 And enough parking space. Buy tickets online to get some discount 😉
Andries — Google review
If you enjoy feeling exploited – go there. The entrance tickets are outrageously overpriced, and the place is packed with thousands of people, creating enormous queues for the slides. For some unexplained reason, on most of the slides – especially those designed for kids – you’re forced to wait for an inflatable tube, which makes the wait even longer and more cumbersome. On the main slides, you can end up waiting over an hour (!) in line, and then spend more long minutes waiting again at the top. Everything moves painfully slowly and inefficiently. But the real nerve is what they call “Express Tickets.” For an extra €3 per person per slide, they let you skip the main line and go straight up to the slide queue itself. So, while you – who already paid dozens of euros to get in – wait endlessly in the “regular” line, dozens of people who paid more casually walk past you. For every 20 “express” guests, they let through maybe 1 or 2 who paid the already outrageous regular admission. They’re counting on you to give up and pay more. It’s basically extortion. In 8 hours at the park, the kids barely managed 7 slides in total, and altogether spent about 5–6 hours waiting in line. The food is expensive too, and the queues for food are just as unreasonable. We won’t be coming back, and we definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
Oded M — Google review
The water park is huge and offers a wide variety of attractions, with something for everyone. The rides and activities were diverse and a lot of fun. Most of the attractions are outdoors, so weather can make a big difference. The only downside was that the major attractions had long waiting times. We visited on a sunny day, so it wasn’t too bad, but on colder days the wait could be less pleasant, especially for those not used to chilly weather.
Kobi C — Google review
This review is for the aquapark pools and slides, not the hotel. As we were not there The place is great and we spent the full day with kids, even though most of the slides were closed due to winter, it was still lots of fun and not crowded at all , October time
Michael G — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience at Aqua Park Tatralandia! So many slides, pools, and attractions for every age. The water is warm, everything is clean, and the staff are super friendly. Perfect mix of fun and relaxation — a must-visit when in Slovakia. PS: There was a magician😂
Joe B — Google review
Visited Tatralandia Water Park today. The park is very large, with plenty of seating areas both outdoors and indoors. It can get extremely crowded, which may not be ideal for those who dislike crowds, but it offers a fun experience for most visitors above 120 cm in height. Only a few attractions require a minimum height of 140 cm. There are lockers available for storing belongings, and many restaurants on-site, though prices are relatively high, around €15 for a standard meal and €3 for drinks. The park has a wide variety of attractions and pools. We chose to visit mainly for the wave pools, but unfortunately, they were closed upon arrival. It’s possible to skip the long lines by paying €3 per ride, but this option isn’t available for all attractions and must be paid each time you want to skip the line. If you don’t bring a towel, you can rent one for €4. There is plenty of parking in the complex, including in the main lot.
Lior L — Google review
Unbelievably crowded! Right at the entrance, at every slide (it took even 55 mins today for one of them), at all restaurants in the peak lunch time, and finally a decent queue at the exit to pay the consumption. It's a pity, because the place has very good facilities and potential, it's just the unlimited visitors left in on such a peak day, which creates such a distress.

Zoo Kontakt is an unconventional zoo in Slovakia that offers visitors the unique opportunity to have face-to-face encounters with various animals without barriers or fencing. The zoo provides supervised access to enclosures with lion and bear cubs, as well as an aviary and farm animals. Visitors can interact closely with a wide range of animals, including rabbits, goats, parrots, kangaroos, pelicans, emus, and more.
As a fan of zoo is general, I had to visit this one as it’s on my way, was no planned and located a sign on my way and went immediately. They gathered various of animals in one place, enjoyed myself seeing and taking pictures of animals and they way they designed each animal carrier is actually creative for me, as you can access a tunnel shape from the front to the middle of the carrier and you can see animals up close. Really recommend.
Fahad K — Google review
It was amazing a little bit scary at first, but then felt safe and in good hands. Unforgettable experience!
Miguel G — Google review
I really liked it. We were with children, we left the park last. I liked the environment, it's clean. I liked the animals, that you can get close to them, and some of the less dangerous ones you can pet. And the staff! Separate and fully deserved praise, everyone of them will tell you about the animals, answer questions. Patient, kind and smiling. Recommendation 100 percent.
Lina G — Google review
Great place to spend a day with kids, but interesting place even for the adults and animal lovers. Surroundings of the park is beautiful, colourful flowers are verywhere. You can get inside of some animal enclosure like rabbits, big turtles, snakes even the bears and learn a lot about animals from the staff. You can buy a food and feed some animals too. Apart of animals, there is a lot of others attractions inside as mirror maze, small train around ZOO, paddle boats for kids, carousel, electric cars, trampolines etc. Also there are places for refreshments, or for lunch, so you can spent here all day very easily.
Silvia C — Google review
Nice place—but not much more than that. The large animals—bears, tigers, and lions—look truly distressed in their small, enclosed cages. It felt downright cruel, and all for the sake of entertainment. On the positive side, the petting areas were genuinely pleasant. Petting rabbits was very nice, and so was the area where you could pet wild boars. Those experiences added a softer, friendlier touch to the visit. The little train ride may suit very young children. It departs every 30 minutes for a quick 8-minute loop. The problem is that the schedule is only posted inside the carriage—so there’s no way to know beforehand. We once sat on the train for 22 minutes, clueless as to why it wasn’t moving. And the birds near the train? Their screeching was absolutely deafening. We just wanted to escape that noise. Also, best avoided on hot days—this place doesn’t work well in the heat. Keep that in mind.
Ola T — Google review
You can be very close to the animals and have fun at the same time! The also have a train which goes through the Zoo. Restaurants and you get to see the waterpark slides at the same time! :-) The staff also speak different languages when the talk about animals.
M B — Google review
Excellent programe for 1-2 hours. You can get close with all the animals. Squirrels were running on our bodies, birds were landing on our arms and even heads. The staff is really nice, there is dedicated person for each animal, who tells you basic information and you can ask anything. I took my girlfriend here on her birthday she enjoyed it very much, recommend it for a date, if you like animals.

Restaurant
Bernard Pub Maladinovo is a fantastic eatery located in a beautiful and pleasant environment. The dish called 'Halusky' stands out, as it is delicious and generously topped with an abundance of cheese. The personnel are welcoming; however, there have been instances where they mistakenly served meals to the wrong table. Despite this occasional confusion, I will definitely make it a point to visit again when I am next in Liptov.
Delicious food, delicious beer, and a great staff. I came during a walk to relax for a while and have a snack. A great spot to visit!

Jasna Low Tatras is a year-round mountain resort known for having the largest ski area in Central Europe, making it a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts. The resort offers a variety of activities such as hiking and climbing, in addition to skiing. With well-prepared slopes catering to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, visitors can enjoy an extensive range of options.
Really good skiing resort. Nearly 40 slopes for all levels of skiing. A lot of good free ride powder zones. Has a fun park where u can practice jumps and tricks. Although not huge it's enough. Food on slope mostly good but can be average, especially at the bar that comes first when skiing down from very top. Mostly reasonable prices. Would recommend a trip to Jasna, chopok to any winter sports lover 10/10
Sebastian S — Google review
The ski resort in Jasna is a really great place for skiing! The slopes are varied, so both beginners and experienced skiers will enjoy it. The snow quality is great, and the slopes are well-maintained, which is awesome. Besides skiing, you’ll also find nice restaurants and après-ski activities where you can relax and grab a bite. It’s perfect for families, but if you’re an experienced skier, you’ll also find some challenging runs. Overall, if you’re looking for a solid ski experience, the ski resort in Jasna is definitely the right place to go.
Johny W — Google review
Overall an amazing skii resort. Plenty of slopes for all levels. Did get very busy after New Years though with wait times of 30 minutes to just get on the beginner B3 chair lifts though.
Josh — Google review
Super bad! Jasna today is not what it was been couple of years ago. Super crowdy. You should wait in que for 1.5 hours. There is no available pay car parking. Infrastructure is not ready to take upon that many people. It is dangerous. Very many crushes. And over all prices are extremely high. Much more expensive than Austria, Italy or even Scandinavia! Don’t go there.
Tripple T — Google review
Great place and world-class ski resort, numerous blue, red and black ski slopes for everybody, many lifts and cable cars, numerous restaurants and bistros, après-ski bars, wellness centers and good transport which are free with ski pass. If you go with a car make sure you get there before 8am otherwise you won’t find parking space. Definitely suitable for a year-round visit, you will find many other attractions here and the whole region has a lot to offer, caves, bike rentals, hikes and many more. Highly recommended!!!
Adi C — Google review
Really poor experience. They charge you 15 EUR for parking (you have to pay for a full day), even now during off season. You pay 31 EUR per adult to reach the top, just to find that the restaurant is closed. No mentions at the bottom, no mention on social channels.. we had 3 kids with us who we took the top to eat, as we knew it was cloudy so we couldn’t see much, we just wanted to take them to eat. The tiny bistro that was open instead, had no seating, no foods from their kids menu, and not surprising not a friendly service. To top it all off, you can only go down during designated hours, so we had to wait 25 minutes to go back down. 100 EUR spent between cable tickets, parking and French fries. Bad management is all I can say.

A world-class ski resort, numerous ski slopes, many lifts and cable cars, numerous restaurants and bistros, there are no shortage of luxury hotels, après-ski bars, wellness centers and good transport. Definitely suitable for a year-round visit, you will find many other attractions here and the whole region has a lot to offer.

One of the biggest ski resort in Slovakia with amazing tracks. I would really recommend to spend here at least 3-4 days to try all the tracks. The 4 star is because they stopped some of the elevators at 15:30 (they wrote 16) and on Monday despite the many skiers they stopped a few elevators all day. The quality of the tracks are the best before 2 PM. We will come back.

Cave

Caverns & Caves
Demänovská Cave of Liberty, located in the Liptov region of Slovakia, is a captivating destination for travelers. This extensive cave system stretches over 13,000 meters, with 1,600 meters accessible to visitors. The guided tour offers an opportunity to marvel at underground lakes and vibrant rock formations while learning about the cave's history and geological significance. It's advisable to check the website for tour times as entry is only permitted with a guide.
Cave of Liberty An excellent attraction and a remarkable value for money. The tour lasts approximately one hour and includes a well-organized route with numerous ascents and descents. Visitors should be prepared for a significant number of stairs both on the way down and back up. Photography inside the cave is permitted only with a special ticket (10 EUR), which is clearly marked with a green sticker and strictly enforced. It is also advisable to wear warm clothing, as the temperature inside the cave is noticeably cold.
Ilya L — Google review
Not really expensive for entree, but taking video and pictures is additional €10,-. It’s a queue of 1,5 hour outside in the sun, cash register closed for 45 minutes during cave operations? The tour is in Slovakian and no English, so for us it was just a bit of looking around, but it was absolutely beautiful. It’s just a bit of a mess in this business here, just like the parking of €10,-. Admission fee is €14,- per person.
Timo — Google review
This cave is incredibly amazing. Stunning view inside. Highly recommended to must see if you are in the area. Paid extra euro to be able to take photos. Our tour guide was so nice to translate the language to English. It was an amazing experience.
Demz R — Google review
Pretty cave but entry isn’t the cheapest, and neither is the parking. Will also say that you are not allowed to take photos without a photo pass, which costs extra
Lucia S — Google review
Would recommend 10/10! While the price of the parking ticket (€15) or admission fee (€14/€24) can scare you at first, you will soon realise that it's completely justified. We took the long tour (100 min) and I would suggest taking it as otherwise you will miss the most breathtaking and stunning experience - the Great Dome. It truly is once in a lifetime feeling seeing it for the first time. The whole tour you get to try to figure out what do the different, really varied formations resemble. As an example, in the photo attached a little mole is being strangled by a cobra 🐍 The guide speaks in Slovak but as our group was mainly Polish, there was also Polish audio played. I am not sure if there is English audio as well, but you can read most of the details in their official free English guide. If you are in the neighbourhood give it a go, you won't regret it!
Jędrzej C — Google review
The caves are impressive, but be prepared to listen to Slovak language for an hour even if in the group are only foreigners.
Tomas V — Google review
Great experience and breathtaking. Prepare yourself for long distance walk. The tour guide speaks only Slovakian which makes the tour very very boaring without understanding a single world. Even instructions inside were explained only in thier language. Specially for such a large group around 100 person in the tour. The path from Parking to the entrance were not clear and confusing. It worth the experience eventhough.
ALI A — Google review
The cave system is worth seeing. The way it is adjusted for mass tourism is painful to see. Tons of concrete are everywhere. The pariking (not governed by a cave institution) is criminally expensive. 15 EUR

Demänovská Ice Cave is a multi-level natural wonder carved by a river, featuring breathtaking ice formations such as columns, stalactites, and stalagmites. The cave offers guided tours through its icy chambers, providing visitors with an experience akin to walking into a freezer. While the inside temperature hovers around 0 degrees Celsius, the steep hike to the entrance warms up adventurers. It's advisable to dress warmly and watch out for slippery surfaces.
Amazing cave! The location is better indicated than other caves from the area, the guides are extremely considerated and well informed, the view point at the entrance is the best sight, sadly do not expect to see ice anymore but the cave is very spacious and has a strong identity. There are signs on the way toward the cave about biodiversity and history, also there is a sound and light mini show inside that is a great addition to the visit -Visit can be followed in various languages including english -cheap price -great location -family activity -good ambiance, and kind staff -the way up the cave is rough but don't worry, not long -the visit is 45min long but everything is explained very well Special thanks to Matus and Filip for their benevolence and help <3 Note about the surroundings : -"Demänovská jaskyna slobody" refers to the cave of liberty and "Demänovská l'adova jaskyna" refers to the ice cave (they are approximatively 2km away and reachable by foot) -do not try to walk from Liptovsky Mikulas, there are no sidewalk and the traffic is dense -Google don't mention it but there are bus (see picture) -what else to see around Liptovsky Mikulas : Liptovska Mara

Demänovská Ice Cave was an unforgettable experience! We were amazed by the shimmering ice formations and the cool, mysterious atmosphere. It felt like entering a fairytale world hidden deep underground. The mix of rock and ice is simply stunning - massive icicles, frozen waterfalls, and unique shapes sculpted by nature. The temperature drop was refreshing on a hot summer day, and the guided tour was both interesting and informative (even if not in English, visuals speak for themselves!). It’s a short hike to reach the cave, but totally worth it. Bring a jacket and good shoes - and be ready to be amazed. A perfect stop for families, adventurers, or anyone who loves nature’s hidden beauty. Highly recommend it!

Nice cave. But there is no ice. According to the guide there hasn’t been for several years due to climate change. Other reviews that are saying that there is ice in the cave from the past 3 or more yrs are according to the park service incorrect. There are only tours in Polish and Slovakian. If you don’t understand these languages, you still have to follow a group due to safety and rules. However, one of the guides was incredibly kind and translated all the information for us. This is not a given, but do ask. It made the experience much better.
Kina P — Google review
I recently visited this cave, and overall it was a nice experience. The cave itself is impressive, made of beautiful silicate formations, and the guided tour was excellent. Our guide spoke English very well and explained everything clearly, making the visit informative and enjoyable. There was even a light show, which added a unique touch to the tour. However, we were a bit disappointed because we expected to see ice inside the cave, which was the main reason we chose this one over other caves. Unfortunately, due to climate change, there is no ice anymore. While the cave is still worth visiting, travelers should be aware that it no longer has the icy features it is known for.
Petra M — Google review
The cave itself was a pleasant experience with impressive natural features, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, organizing tours into English and Slovak-speaking groups for better communication. However, the visit fell short of expectations in a few key areas. A major disappointment was the lack of ice in the cave, which was only mentioned upon entry. This could have been communicated clearly on the website or at booking to set proper expectations. The organization felt lacking in this regard. Additionally, the parking fee of 15 EUR was surprisingly high and seemed excessive for the area. Visitors should also be prepared for a physically demanding climb to the cave entrance, which may not suit everyone and wasn’t adequately highlighted beforehand. Overall, while the cave and staff were enjoyable, better transparency about the ice, parking costs, and physical requirements would greatly improve the experience. I’d recommend visiting if you’re physically able and aware of these caveats, but the management could make improvements for a smoother visit.
Andrejs G — Google review
The cave itself is impressive, although there’s no ice during the summer months anymore due to global warming. What I found disappointing, however, is that the tour is conducted only in Slovak. Considering it’s a tourist attraction, I think this is quite a drawback. It would have been much more engaging if I could actually understand what the guide was explaining. The leaflet provided with the tickets does include an English summary, but it’s very brief and only covers part of the information.
Natalia P — Google review
The cave is stunning. Obviously there is not as much ice as before but that makes it a very good reminder of the climate change that we cannot ignore anymore. Also I noticed a lot of reviews that are taking away a few stars because of the expensive parking. FIY the parking lot has nothing to do with the cave. The cave has no power over the prices of parking, do not punish them for someone else's greediness.

Stanišovská Cave is a small and cozy cave near Liptovsky Jan, easily accessible with available parking. Despite its size, the experience of exploring this cave is remarkable. The guided tour by a knowledgeable speleologist offers interesting insights for both kids and adults, making it an educational adventure. It's recommended to visit in the summer when the interior temperature is around 6 degrees Celsius. The terrain inside is not demanding, suitable for families with children and even elderly visitors.
This cave is very cool. Temperature wise, yes, but also, aesthetically. We've done a few caves in the area and this tour is among the best. The tour guide really knows what she's doing, and isn't just reciting memorized lines in that weird cadence literally every other cave guide has. She gets the kids involved and seems to actually enjoy her project. You take your own lights (provided headlamps) as the cave is wonderfully not lit up like a supermarket like others are, giving you the feel of really exploring a secret place. You can really feel the history of this cave, both geological and humanical. And it's off the beaten path, so you aren't in an overstuffed crowd. Well worth the trip and the price.

It’s a lovely cave near Liptovsky Jan. easy to get to, parking available. Perfect for small kids & families. We went in August, it wasn’t cold, just jumper was enough, trainers are fine. It does get colder in winter of Corse. Tickets are €6 adults €3 child. There’s toilet available. You need to be able to walk but my 3 year old was ok with the experience. There were elderly with sticks & they were ok too. The talk was in Slovak but the guide was able to speak English too. Recommended x

The tour was such a great experience! Our guide spoke flawless English & the whole experience was very educational. When you are inside the cave, you come to understand the complex beauty of nature.
Patrícia Á — Google review
Nice place for the whole families including small children. You don't need to be an expert for caves to enjoy this one. The tour is not hard and I saw some very small children that were there with their parents and managed. The cave has some history and it was interesting to observe and learn with some headlamps that were lent to us by the tour guide at the beginning of the tour. The tour guide that a group where I was had was nice and kept our attention for the whole time. Offering a shot to someone from the tour group by tour guide was funny and at the same time a nice ending of the tour.

Dance restaurant
Located in the town of Liptovsky Mikulas, just 15 minutes from the lifts, Happy End Restaurant & Club is a popular spot for après ski activities. During the day, it operates as a restaurant at the foot of the main lifts at Biela Put and transforms into a lively bar in the evenings. On some weekends, it turns into a nightclub with live music and DJs after 9pm. The venue offers a pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff.
Orders at the table. The location and climate inside are quite nice. Staff is helpful and emphatic. Food quite ok, but not superb. Pizza could be baked a little bit more and pasta needs a little more seasoning. Keeping in mind that it's not a Michelin star rated restaurant, but a place to have some rest and eat something after skiing I recommend visiting the place.
Jacek K — Google review
Low quality overpriced food. The terrace looks terrible. They forgot to bring one of us food but didn't forget to include it in the bill. They did refund it after we complained. Definitely avoid this place. You can get better food for less money in other restaurants in Jasna.
Michal D — Google review
Absolutely terrible. I was excited all day to come to the good old happy end with great food and especially great pizza. Instead my favourite restaurant in Jasna became a profit maximising fast food. The food was barely average. My Schnitzel with fries cost 17€ which is absolutely ridiculous for what I got. My friend ordered a Guláš with a cup of hot chocolate and paid 21€ for it. The Guláš was barely warm. Absolutely terrible decision by the management to change their restaurant model. I highly recommend not going here, you will waste money for mediocre food and standing in line for 15 minutes. I will never come back here again.
Lukas K — Google review
Very beautiful location, both in winter and summer. Food not very diverse but tasty.

good place. we have visited off season so not much going on here. service was really nice patiently taking our order. food was for me a little bit smaller portions but I think for normal people it will be just right. we haven't found any highchairs for kids and we were not offered any so I assume they do not have. recommend
Dave H — Google review
Overpriced place with basically fast food offer. I do not recommend this place at all. Aldo offer in other restaurants is even more expensive! Pizza 🍕 slice is 6€. Small wiener snitzel with a little french fries (kids menu) for 15€
Sanela H — Google review
We were tired and hungry and past caring where we went -- there aren't a lot of options in this place. We didn't have high expectations, but were pleasantly surprised. It said self-serve, but we got waited on by lovely people. The food was good, very tasty, presented nicely, way nicer than a place like that should do. The kids meals were good (the older kid could have had a slightly bigger one) with very cool, quite surprisingly good toys. Not just cheap throwaway plastic. Maybe a little overpriced but look where you are -- it's a resort town. What were you expecting? Something cheap? It was worth it, they had Kofola on tap, we were happy.
Tom H — Google review
Well... the pizza I ordered Angela, was terrible, I would preferred to have a cheap frozen one instead of this. It was soggy, tasteless, dough was chirping of which is weird. Not recommending this place if you are looking for a pizza. The good thing is that they made it in 5 minutes, so if you are in a rush and have no time to wait it will come fast.

Penzion Galanto is a laid-back hotel located in the picturesque Janska valley, in the Liptov region near Liptovsky Jan. The guesthouse is situated in a quiet, picturesque area, next to mountain stream with a view at two mountains on both sides. Access to the guest house is convenient. Rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Wi-Fi in guesthouse is free and stable. There are also video console, orangery, bar and some kind of spa. Next to guesthouse is place for barbecue and a playground for children. That are the pros. Cons? Parking is a bit too small and cramped. The kitchen is poor. I ordered a vegetarian menu because it was an option but I didn't get it. Breakfast have buffet form, but almost every day is the same; at dinner you can choose one of the sets but sets are very similar. In guesthouse is only one person which manages it, and it is difficult to meet her. Nobody from the staff don't speak in english and I could communicate them thanks to slovakian is similar to polish. So Penzion Galanto has potential but they still have some things to improve.
Łukasz P — Google review
The room was very small. The mattresses were hard and old. The bathroom smelled bad. The food was not good and the portions were small. There was little choice at breakfast. There was only sugary juice, not even regular orange juice. The coffee was nothing special. No scrambled eggs. Only one day were there eggs for breakfast. No regular Nutella, just cocoa cream with honey and only one type of jam. The jam had little fruit in it. The whirlpool smelled strongly of cheap and toxic plastic. There was very little parking. The surroundings were beautiful. I will not return to the guesthouse. There are better accommodations for the price. I come from Tyrol, Austria, and I am used to better for the price. Slovakia has become very expensive for what you get.

Park MINI SLOVENSKO is an exhibition area featuring 18 meticulously detailed models of Slovak cultural monuments, with plans for further expansion. The miniatures, in a scale of 1:25, include castles and cathedrals and were first created in 2005. The park offers an engaging experience for both children and adults, with captivating train displays that attract kids' attention while adults can appreciate the precision of the models.
A beautiful park containing beautiful miniatures from across all of Slovakia. Some are iconic (Bojnice castle, or the Levoča town hall), some less renown, but of their own importance (most being either national landmarks [used on post stamps in the past] or even UNESCO heritage sites) plus the church located right in the city that you can visit and compare with. The park is supplemented with a cute railway system serviced by multiple trains along with actual renditions of some real-world railway stations. Unlike other types of miniature parks I've visited, all the miniatures, as well as the railroad, are in the same 1:25 ratio and built with meticulous detail (you can see the author must be an actual architect) while most of the miniatures are also accompanied with bonsais to make them look even more life-like (though of course the trees around the actual landmarks [if any] look different, the scenery here is beautiful in its own right). It's definitely worth a visit, plan in between 30-60 min. It's fairly popular, but not too crowded and rarely requires a wait at the entrance - also, cards are accepted here so no need for cash (but if you want some refreshments or shop for souvenirs on the marketplace across the road, you'd need to have some as the nearby venues don't accept cards).
Antonin J — Google review
Absolutely amazing place with rail tracks and electric mini trains that just go round and round. As a train fan i was really impressed.
Alexey A — Google review
Not much to see here really, only 20 models. You can see the entire park in about 20 minutes and then you have nothing to do there. It was kind of disappointing for me, I expected more from this, since I heard how amazing this park is. It’s definitely not worth the entrance fee which is 5 euros for adult and 3 euros for student. I’m not saying the models don’t look good, they surely do, I just think the ticket to this place is overpriced.
Dominika V — Google review
It's a nice place, our kids liked the trains best. The models are impressive and the place seems to be still growing, which is awesome. Quick visit, an hour max.

Thermal springs Kaďa

If you're visiting the area between April and October and enjoy natural hot springs, be sure to visit Thermal Springs Kada. This attraction offers a pristine and complimentary pool with thermal water, as well as a picturesque stream nearby and an expansive green park area. It's an ideal destination for families, with free admission and ample parking available about 500 meters away. The geothermal and mineral waters are reputed to possess healing properties, providing a comfortably warm swimming experience.
I've been to many thermal baths, but this is a natural thermal spring and not some "clean" water with chlorine, true - the water is not hot, but definitely healing and nice to swim in There is a cooler pool and a hotter one, the place is clean and the locals upkeep it, the direct road to the springs is closed, but you can use the parking next to the church which is 4min by foot Careful - don't stay in the water longer than 20min (this applies to all thermal water) and what we found out is that the water composition turns all silverware into a gold-ish colour, which washes off with normal water afterwards Overall a great experience in nature, Recommend! :)
Jurgita J — Google review
We visited this natural hot spring recently, and it was an interesting experience. The setting is beautiful and it’s free to enjoy, which already makes it special. When we went, the water was about 24 degrees — not as warm as we expected, but still pleasant once you got used to it. The water wasn’t crystal clear, but the atmosphere made up for it. There were a few local people around, and everyone was friendly, which gave the place a nice community feel. Overall, it’s worth a visit — just don’t expect the water to be hot like in typical hot springs.
Petra M — Google review
Bit of a way out in Slovakia you can find this lovely spot. The stunning views of the mountain range and the spring is a pleasure.

Stunning location. Cycle for hours and try and Hit the Thermal springs. Spend the day here catching the sun and swim for hours. My favourite location in Slovakia by far. Everyone so friendly, helpful advice with conversations. This location is free, so do your part and keep it clean and Tidy.
John C — Google review
This is a lovely area to come with family. The entrance is free and there is plenty of parking approximately 500 m away. The geothermal and mineral waters are said to have healing properties. The water is not too hot and is very manageable to swim in. there is a large grassy area if you want to have your own picnic. It can be busy in the middle of summer, but will be quieter at other times of the year.
Rob J — Google review
If you are road tripping through Slovakia this place is well worth the detour. It's just a small little spring and on a hot day this place would be a perfect stop. The area is clean and welcoming and the water is lovely.

I go there often, great track layout that is fast and fun to drive with just about the right amount of challenge. They usually do not mix groups of people together, so you won't end up on the track with some slowpokes, unless you brought them with you. 😁

The Slovak Museum of Nature Protection and Speleology in Liptovsky Mikulas is a complex museum with a vast and well-organized collection. It showcases various aspects of the Slovak environment, including the lives of woodcutters, shepherds, and Slovak speleologists and mountain rescuers. The museum building itself is beautiful, and the extensive collection is curated with great care. Visitors can explore exhibits on caves, wildlife/cosmos, mountains, and trees across three levels.
I liked this place. Recommend to visit with kids. Interactive museum with tower to see the city. Speleology is in focus, but it's really interesting

The museum is quite large. Downstairs is a section about caves. On the second floor there is a natural history section (note, there are stuffed animals) and one related to minerals. On the second floor is a section dedicated to human activities in the mountains. You can also go out to viewpoints. There is some interactive stuff, mostly animal sounds. The Natural History Museum in Liptovský Mikuláš is a wonderful place to visit, whether you’re interested in nature, history, or just looking for an engaging activity for the family. The museum itself is very well put together, with a variety of interesting exhibits – many of them focused on caves and the natural environment of the region. Some of the displays are interactive, which makes the experience fun and educational, especially for children. One highlight is the chance to “climb” into a model cave, which adds a unique, hands-on element that kids really enjoy. Another great feature is the museum’s tower. You can go up and enjoy a panoramic view of the city, which is definitely worth it. It gives you a nice perspective of Liptovský Mikuláš and the surrounding area. The museum is the kind of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours exploring. Everything feels thoughtfully presented, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a really nice museum and well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Cute little sushi place in Liptovský Mikuláš 🍣🍜🍱 very nice atmosphere, friendly and professional service and delicious food! ✨I had some salmon sashimi and a kimchi salad - have tried kimchi in many places before and this one was exceptional 👌

I visited the restaurant in July 2022, also a delayed review. Small restaurant with 3 tables outside, 3 tables inside + seats at the sushi bar. Service was good The sushi was good, just good, not very good. Very small rolls. While making the order, we thought that in 3 we would eat well. Unfortunately, for the price, in many other sushi restaurants you will eat twice as much. Perhaps it is the only sushi in town?

The best soup and sushi in town and the poke bowl yummiiii. The staff is very nice and sitting outside in warm days is also convinient 👌🏼😊 Been here many many times and will never stop comming here.

We had good experience at Alto sushi. inside are few tables, so it is quiet place. They dont have menu in English, but waitress was helpful. I liked most of all Ramen. It was so big bowl and rich with ingridients. Ir I ever return to L. Mikulas, I'll return to Alto sushi.

Very good miso soup and sushi. The service is a bit slow and the menu is in Slovak only. The main reason I rate this place 3/5 is because it's very expensive, namely, every sauce and extras (mayo, ginger, etc..) and even plain water cost around 1.5 euros

Nice sushi in Liptovský Mikuláš. Place is pretty small, so be warned, might be full by the time you are in the mood for sushi. They still do takeaway so you can easily enjoy it in the nearby park. Also good tea options!
Ahto L — Google review
Very nice place with good service. We had miso, which was delicious. Pad Thai with strong nut flavour. And the best togarashi dish I have ever eaten. The sushi was also really good. We even got a discount! Great experience 5 out of 5 🌟

Amazing place! Classic interior-design. Really friendly service. Good breakfast, and overall food. Moreover, option to reserve jacuzzi/sauna on your own, or get a massage. This is a really unique place. Not comparable to most hotels. One of the best places I've ever stayed at.

We really liked it here and the owner is very nice. Hotel has a very cool historic vibe. Food was nice and tasty and nice beer. We will be back again I'm sure.

Alexandra and her team are very warm, sociable and helpful. If you are visiting Slovakia for the first time and do not know what to do, ask the administration, it will definitely help you. The hotel is definitely worthy of thanks

Located in the edge of the village in former chateau, big parking and garden. Split to accomodation parr, bar and separate restaurant. We have been here 3 nights had amazing dinner, seriously well prepared. Breakfast was fantastic, so many options to eat and in high quality. Service absolutely excelent. Rooms were big enough, yes i might say view from the window was to empty garden and our windows were visible from restaurant. Despite i like this place. In terms of bad weather there are options where to spare time as wellness or some play hall for kids and etc... Definitely recommend

We are family of 5 and we stayed for 8 days in Aug 2018. We had 2 rooms. The rooms were very-very basic and clean. Exterior of the place is lovely. the room: #No Air condition/ ventilation: we managed ok due to weather in our stay but... #Room for luggage: need to use the chairs/ small table to hold suitcases Other: #Laundry service: none for tourists in the region! It's an issue when staying that long. When shoes are wet from a twerk Need to wash and dry a t shirt for a kid quickly: no option available! We bought a small ventilator to dry shoes in the room... #breakfast included: very basic Non effective coffee machine No hot drinks for kids Slow service when milk/water/salads empty (happens all the time) # dinner is a good option at fair rates coming back after a day journey.

Dinner at the restaurant was delicious when taking into account the options of eating in Liptovsky Jan. Ordered vegetable and mushroom risotto, both adequately seasoned, the portion was big enough and was good value for money. The cafe, on the other hand, doesn't meet the expectations you have when reading the drink menu.

(Translated by Google) Visited twice. Choose from about 10 dishes, daily menu with soup. Very low prices. The food portion was big. Everything we tasted was good. They have many places to sit. I definitely recommend (Original) Navstiveno 2x. Vyber cca z 10 jidel, denni menu s polevkou. Velmi nizke ceny. Porce jidla velike. Vse co jsme ochutnali bylo dobre. Maji mnoho mist k sezeni. Urcite doporucuji

(Translated by Google) I considered visiting this restaurant, but after seeing a mouse wandering around the restaurant through the window after closing time, I decided I'd rather eat somewhere where I could be sure the staff wouldn't bite.
