Budapest is an enchanting city with a special and unique flair. It has been the cultural and political center of Hungary for centuries, and features cafes, restaurants, pubs, and exciting nightlife. Farmers Markets
The Central Market Hall in Budapest is a restored neogothic hall that offers a diverse shopping and dining experience. The ground floor features grocery produce, including Hungarian paprika, fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat, pastries, wine, chocolate, and jams. On the first floor, visitors can find souvenirs and various food stands offering a wide range of culinary delights. This three-story market is an ideal place to shop for local goods while enjoying lunch and picking up souvenirs.
The building was designed and built by Samu Pecz in 1897. The market offers a wide variety of stalls on three floors. The entrance gate has a neo-Gothic touch. A special architectural feature is the roof, which was renovated with colorful Zsolnay tiles from Pécs. The building is 10,000 square meters in size and is covered with a steel structure. During the Second World War, the market was heavily damaged. It was not until 1991 that a thorough renovation was undertaken, which restored it to its original splendor. The building was reopened in 1997, and in 1999 it was awarded the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence. The Central Market is still one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. Most of the stalls on the ground floor offer produce, meat, pastries, sweets, spices and spirits. You can find paprika spice, Tokaj wine, Túró Rudi, kolbász sausages and salamis there. On the second mezzanine floor there are restaurants and stalls selling tourist souvenirs. In the basement there are fishmongers, stalls with selected vegetables and a few specialized butchers.
Erik V — Google review
It is a pleasant location to explore and capture memorable photographs. The scenery offers ample opportunities for creative compositions and stunning visuals. Although the surroundings are beautiful, the dining experience could be improved. Hopefully, future visits will bring enhancements to the culinary offerings. Overall, it remains a lovely place to visit.
Jey A — Google review
We visited the market hall on a Sunday and were really impressed. The building itself is beautiful, and there are many different stalls offering local delicacies. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the people were very friendly. The only downside was that, since it was Sunday, some of the stalls were closed. Because of that, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit!
Jakob H — Google review
It is the largest indoor market in Budapest, located at one end of the famous Váci utca. It is located in a building whose facade is built in a neo-Gothic style, very pleasing to the eye and in harmony with the architecture of the neighboring buildings. Inside, on the ground floor you will find many shops with local cold cuts, dairy, wines and other products. In the basement is the fish market. You can reach the upper level by several stairs but also by an escalator, located in close proximity of the main entrance. Access to the shops on the first floor is along corridors that look like balconies. Here are numerous gift/souvenir shops but also the Fakánal Etterem restaurant, which, if you want to taste the flavors of traditional Hungarian food, you must definitely make a stop. We did and we did not regret it. At lunchtime, when we arrived, we had to be a little patient to get to the desired menu, but it was worth it. I treated myself with a goulash soup and a portion of stuffed cabbage rolls. Everything was very tasty. I consider this place to be recommended to visit.
Cri B — Google review
The Central Market Hall in Budapest is a wonderful place to explore if you want to experience local Hungarian culture in one spot. The market is housed inside a beautiful, well-organised historic building that feels lively but not chaotic. Everything is neatly arranged, and it’s easy to navigate through the different sections. You can find plenty of authentic Hungarian products here — from fresh local vegetables and spices to handmade crafts and souvenirs. There are also food stalls offering traditional dishes, so you can enjoy a snack or meal right inside the market while soaking in the atmosphere. The vendors are friendly and take pride in their products, making the experience feel genuine rather than touristy. There’s a good mix of local shoppers and visitors, which adds to its charm. The market also has clean, paid toilet facilities, which is convenient if you plan to spend more time browsing. Whether you’re looking for paprika, embroidered linens, or just a good place to people-watch, the Central Market Hall offers it all. It’s an enjoyable and colourful stop that captures the real spirit of Budapest in a single building.
AKASH U — Google review
Lots of fresh food of all varieties, including meat, vegetables and baked goods. Paprika of every flavor and size. Goodies to eat and souvenirs for the trip home. It can be very crowded so have some patience. Many of the vendors are closed on Sunday, especially the fresh food vendors.
Tom F — Google review
A traditional and interesting market to visit in Budapest. It’s worth checking out for its architecture and the variety of local products like spices, wines, and embroidered goods. It’s also a nice spot to buy souvenirs, but prices tend to be a bit higher, especially at the shops near the entrance.
Luana B — Google review
Architecture wise it’s a beautiful building and so we only spent a few minutes inside as the numerous market stalls didn’t really appeal to us. You can however find various stalls to suit various tastes from meats, fish and other food stalls to more traditional Hungarian shops. There were also a number of restaurants inside.

The Dohány Street Synagogue, located in Budapest's Jewish Quarter, is a stunning example of Moorish-style architecture. It is the largest synagogue in Europe and features ornate domes, a museum, cemetery, and Holocaust memorial. The complex also includes the Jewish Museum, Heroes Temple, and Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park. Visitors can explore the synagogue's tranquil garden and reflect at the touching Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Garden.
The guided tour offered a wealth of fascinating information. Learning about the past can be a deeply moving experience. Such historical insights can evoke powerful emotions. Reflecting on the past provides valuable perspectives on the present. It's important to cherish and learn from these historical moments.

We took the guided tour at this beautiful synagogue in Budapest, Hungary. The tour was really interesting and informative. The detail in the building and design is quite impressive. And the outside area and gardens are really beautiful. There is also a small museum with lots of historical artefacts and works to view. If you like experiencing history and different cultures, it’s definitely worth the visit.
Hannah R — Google review
Honestly, felt really overrated for what we paid. It should cost half. The tour was informative but only lasted 15 minutes or so. Some fun facts about the synagogue, the history, and the local Jewish community. I wouldn't recommend tickets. I'd just admire the building from the outside.
Fiorella C — Google review
This was an amazing experience and one of my “must see” places in Budapest. I went earlier in the morning on a Sunday, around 11:00 am. There wasn’t much of a line so the entrance was a breeze. It wasn’t overly crowded so I could move around and see things easily. The museum was informative and easy to explore. The garden area was a nice place for quiet reflection. I recommend visiting. Just try to get there earlier.
Jody T — Google review
Expensive to visit but you will not regret having spent the money. A lot of history on the big site and the basement. Beautiful beyond words and not even pictures or videos. Beautiful but at the same time very sad and terrible historical background that may impact emotionally.

Best and great Sinagogue. I love to Visit religious places of every religion, in a sincretic way you can find spirituality every where and feel the wishes, the prayers, the needs of the crowd attended their rites, there, no matter the religious tradition you belong. It is the biggest european sinagogue. Staff at the entrance was kind and useful.
Salvatore M — Google review
The largest synagogue in Europe and one of the most iconic landmarks in Budapest, this stunning Jewish temple is truly a sight to behold. Its impressive architecture draws attention from every angle, and although we weren’t able to go inside due to it being closed that day, exploring the exterior was an experience in itself. Don’t miss the memorial park and sculptures located behind the building—they add a meaningful touch to the visit. While the entrance fee is on the higher side compared to other attractions in the city, we still think it’s well worth seeing.

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a 19th-century suspension bridge that connects Buda and Pest. It was designed by William Tierney Clark and features stone-carved lions at each end. The bridge is illuminated at night, making it a picturesque sight. It is the first permanent span between Buda and Pest and remains an iconic symbol of the city. Visitors can enjoy stunning views from both sides of the bridge, with Buda Castle in the background.
If you come to Budapest you need to go and visit this iconic landmark. The Chain Bridge in Budapest offers beautiful views of the Danube and the city skyline especially in the sunset hours. Walking across it gives a great perspective of both Buda and Pest, making it a must-see landmark to check. Photographers are going to find a lot of space for great photos. I highly recommend take a walk and enjoy this amazing bridge.

Visiting the Chain Bridge in Budapest was an unforgettable experience. Walking across this iconic bridge offers incredible views of the Danube River and the city’s stunning architecture. The bridge itself is impressive, with its historic design and beautiful details that make it perfect for photos. It is especially magical at sunset when the lights start to illuminate the city. The area around the bridge is lively and easy to explore on foot, making it a great spot for a stroll and taking in the atmosphere of Budapest. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city.
Sabrina V — Google review
This wonderful bridge is definitely the most beautiful bridge of Budapest, symbol of the Hungary and an absolute must-see for any visitor. Connects Buda and Pest. From the bridge, you get perfect shots of the Buda Castle, the Hungarian Parliament, and the entire river panorama. The atmosphere after dark is magical
Giuliano — Google review
A special, impressive construction. It gives a special charm to the area and very interesting perspectives from both its ends but also along the pedestrian passage. Walking on the bridge allows you to capture some special images of Pest, Buda and the Danube.
Cri B — Google review
The Chain Bridge in Budapest is truly one of the city’s most stunning landmarks! Walking across it during the day gives you a beautiful view of both Buda and Pest, but it’s at night when the bridge becomes absolutely magical. The whole structure glows with warm lights, reflecting beautifully on the Danube River and creating a breathtaking view of the illuminated Parliament and Buda Castle. The atmosphere feels peaceful yet full of life — perfect for an evening stroll or photos. Definitely one of the highlights of Budapest that shouldn’t be missed!
Priti S — Google review
The most famous bridge in town. Views on the bridge are good during the day and arguably even better at night. It seems like a long bridge but actually takes maybe 10 or less minutes to walk from one side to the other
Allen L — Google review
I went here in October 2025. I really felt awesome looking it with the pink theme. Very nice and crowdy place. For a good feel and view should visit in the night time. This bridge is special because it connects all main locations.
Rajala M — Google review
Such a lovely bridge! The Széchenyi Chain Bridge isn’t just beautiful, it tells stories with every stone and chain. It’s the first permanent link between Buda and Pest, built in the mid-1800s. I loved the elegant lions at each entrance (and the fun local legend about their tongues!), the sweeping views over the Danube, and how the lights at night turn the whole thing into a fairytale. Also really admire the resilience, destroyed in World War II, then lovingly rebuilt. Definitely more than just a bridge, it feels like a symbol of unity and history.

Gellért Thermal Bath

Gellért Thermal Bath is a part of the renowned Hotel Gellert complex and boasts an opulent Art Nouveau design that reflects its pre-World War era origins. The indoor and outdoor bathing experience offers a unique blend, with visitors starting in the indoor chambers adorned with Zsolnay pyrogranite and porcelain features.
Probably the most beautiful building one can imagine to bath in with an affordable price and easy access. Highly recommend to book tickets with cabin especially when traveling with your SO. I would highly recommend to bring a water proof bag to place your phone if you plan to take some photos. Slippers/flip flops and towels are a must and they are expensive to buy at the bath so pack well in advance. We truly enjoyed the pools in different temperatures and the nicely landscaped outdoor pools. We spent about 3 hours there and left feeling reinvigorated. The building is in need of some updates such as patching missing tiles or repairing damaged sculptures. The fountains at the indoor hot pools were not functioning while we were there as well. We were worried about the sanitation at the bath, but it was way cleaner than expected. Of course, there's always room for improvement. If you would like to relax and enjoy good architecture at the same time while in Budapest, this is the place for you.
L C — Google review
I loved the experience of the Thermal baths. It was clean and easy to navigate, not terribly crowded for a summer day. One pool was under construction, but there is plenty of space and options. I enjoyed my time and felt it was a must when visiting Budapest ❤️😊
Eileen O — Google review
The architectural of this place is stunning. We were lucky we got to visit before closing on October 1st. They will open again in 2028, restauration I assume. Swimming cap is required only on the big pool, where there is also a life guard. The only downside of this place, but this is something that perhaps they cannot control, is the violation of the rules. In saunas you're not allowed with slippers on and you have to sit on your towel, yet so many people did not obey that. In order for people to feel and be safe, I suggest applying fines for people who do not follow the rules. Health is not something you can joke with! Besides that, we had a relaxing time!
Alexandra W — Google review
Quick entry on a Friday morning. No queues at all. Wonderful ottoman architecture and clean pools. Slightly higher price than we anticipated but well worth a full day there. Drinks from the bar, typical prices at most establishments across Budapest. Would highly recommend a visit as less busy than szczesny thermal baths.
Claire B — Google review
Great thermal baths with pools and hot tubs. There were 3 different temps in the pools, 85, 95, and 105 degrees. The baths were very reasonably priced, but remember to bring your own towels as they are $20 to purchase.
Rich T — Google review
A really soothing Bath experience. You got to choose between outdoor and indoor. The Indoor baths are especially fascinating. Appreciating the Art-Nouveau interior and with a lot of hot baths at diff temperatures to choose from. Recommend to go there in the morning before the crowd. 2-3 hours is definitely enough.
Long H — Google review
This was my second time here, it was great. The staff are knowledgeable, it was easy to navigate and it wasn’t too crowded. We didn’t buy online but managed to get in buying tickets at the door. Definitely a highlight of our trip in Budapest!

Clean, not too crowded and beautiful to behold. We spent three hours here and loved the mixture of warm and regular pools. We chose Gellért because of its location and the fact it will be closing Sept. 30 for lengthy renovations.

Restaurant
Dobrumba is a popular and trendy restaurant located in the 7th District, offering a diverse menu inspired by European and Middle Eastern cuisines. The larger edition of Dobrumba, known as Pingrumba, has gained popularity for its traditional dishes from Cairo to Calcutta. The restaurant provides shareable meze and individual dishes with a unique blend of Indian and Middle-Eastern flavors.
We stumbled upon Dobrumbá by chance — the exterior caught our eye and we decided to give it a try. Luckily we got a table without a reservation, but I’d recommend booking ahead since it gets busy. The vibe inside is relaxed but beautifully designed, with a cozy, stylish feel. We started with vermouth, which was honestly one of the best I’ve had — super smooth and flavorful. The food is all about sharing: small plates with a delicious fusion of Middle Eastern and European influences. We were three people and ordered two tapas each, but in hindsight, four total plus dessert would’ve been more than enough. The homemade cheese and fava were the highlights for us — fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying — but everything we tried was really good. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. All in all, a great find — perfect for a casual but tasty dinner in Budapest.
Magalí C — Google review
The atmosphere is really cool and alternative, and all the food we ordered was delicious. We’d like to compliment the guy with bangs, who was super friendly and fun with us! We liked it so much that we came back again.
Isabela B — Google review
Excellent, I mean absolutely EXCELLENT food. I would highly recommend this spot for Meditteranean/Israeli food. We walked in here without a reservation so there was a bit of a wait to get a seat, but the servers were extremely nice and efficient in not only making sure we were served a drink while waiting but also getting us a table. The food itself was amazing, there was not one dish that I would not recommend. The menu was fun and interesting and so well priced. The wines were also extremely good and a strong recommendation as they were mostly natural wines with interesting origins!
Raj — Google review
Was looking for falafel but ended up trying the fried cod shawarma instead. I’ve never had any kind of shawarma before, so I can’t compare, but I really enjoyed it — especially with the hummus and fresh pita on the side. A pleasant surprise was discovering buckwheat tea — I had no idea you could make tea from it, but it was really good. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.
Inna P — Google review
Dobrumba is a welcoming and friendly place. We were greeted with smiles and though there asn't a free table we didn't wait much (for lunch). The same goes for ordering and serving - it was fast with no hassles. We shared several dishes and all of them were warm and freshly cooked. If you are into Middle Eastern food, you'll like it here. Personally I love the flavors. My favorite was the chicken shawarma but I'd also order again the piri-piri chicken, the pomegranate chicken liver and the patatas bravas with aioli. All had rich flavors. If you like homemade lemonade, do try theirs.
Vladimir D — Google review
Middle Eastern/Mediterranean inspired small plates made for sharing, very generous portions, recommend about 2 plates per person. Lots of gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Very relaxed laidback atmosphere and cute interior. The staff were very nice and service was very fast. I went by myself and got 2 plates plus a pita bread and I was very full and very happy. I got the Hummus Ma Lahma (homemade hummus, lamb and beef ragout, chickpeas) it was very nice and had amazing flavour, it wasn’t very spicy, and the hummus was so creamy and smooth. Unfortunately they had a busy day so were out of tabouleh and fattoush salad, so instead the waiter recommended the Pomegranate Chicken Liver (baharat spiced chicken liver, pomegranate syrup, tahini, pine nuts) which was nice but I wish I had gotten something else; for me personally, the pomegranate sauce was quiet sweet, and I’ve never tried liver before so the texture threw me off a bit and I got the ick after about 2/3 of the way through(but at least I tried something new), however it was very nice and full of flavour, the meat was cooked perfectly and everything was well balanced, but just wasn’t personally for me. The pita bread was SO light and fluffy and fresh, it was perfect. Reservation highly recommended.
Gracie R — Google review
Dobrumba shows how dining out should feel. I had a Middle Eastern platter with delicate flavours and spot-on textures, paired with friendly attentive service and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. The kind of place you want to share with friends. Highly recommended.
A S — Google review
Dobrumba has always been one of our favorites, but this visit was especially memorable. The mushroom shawarma was rich in flavor and beautifully spiced – a real standout. The shakshuka with roasted eggplant was simply perfect – the addition of tahini is brilliant, making the dish even creamier and more flavorful. I definitely recommend ordering it with the eggplant; it makes the dish feel complete and well-balanced. For a refreshing drink, we had the kombucha soda, which was a fantastic choice for summer – light yet full of flavor, and it paired wonderfully with the food. What made the experience even better: despite the place being quite busy, we were seated quickly, the food arrived fast, and the staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. Great atmosphere, outstanding flavors, and excellent service – five stars without question! We’ll definitely be back.

Borbíróság is a popular wine bar located behind the Great Market Hall in Budapest. Despite its inconspicuous location, it draws crowds with its extensive wine selection and delectable food made from fresh market ingredients. The menu offers a variety of contemporary dishes, with the duck being a standout favorite. While there isn't a specific gluten-free menu, the staff is accommodating to dietary needs. Visitors can enjoy delicious wines and flavorful meals while reminiscing over their time in Budapest.
We had lunch at Borbíróság the day after New Year’s Day. The place was open and welcoming despite the holiday. The atmosphere was calm, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered a variety of Hungarian dishes, all well-prepared and served at the right temperature. The wine list was extensive, and the staff gave good recommendations. Portions were balanced, and we appreciated the straightforward presentation. The location is convenient, close to the market hall. It was a quiet and pleasant meal, just what we needed after the New Year celebrations.

I had the goulash soup and a draft Soproni... 22 euro... the goulash felt thin. It had a shallow reminder of meat inside, the vegetables almost felt uncooked. Not great , not terrible but for me it didn't deserve the money. The restaurant looks nice, the presentation of the food is modern but it just didn't hit the spot for me. Service ok .

Very delicious and exquisite meal, at a very acceptable price! We were looking for food around Kalvin Ter and weren't fond of the food along the tourist street so we came here based on the glowing google reviews, and they weren't wrong at all! We had a very delectable meal consisting of the finest goose pate, beef tartare with bone marrow, spring vegetable soup, and pan seared duck liver for entrees, followed by a pan fried perch with asparagus and breaded veal trotter with parsley potatoes. Lastly we finished with coffees and lemonade. It was all extremely delicious, very well presented and the service was excellent as well. The decor and seating was lovely, comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend visiting if youre in the area.

An absolute gem. Situated in a peaceful square just behind the central market, this place is off the charts lovely. All the food is farm to table from the market daily, and it's delicious and authentic. Great wine options. The service is informal and charming. It’s real Hungarian food cooked with love and it’s a million miles from the horrible touristy restaurants just across the street in Fovam Ter. Very strongly recommended. Nagyon szepen köszönöm!

Stepped into this lovely little place for a late lunch and it was awesome. The Goulash and Beef Stew with Dumplings was interesting and flavorful. We also tried the Rich Meat soup with Meat and Veg and that really packed a flavor punch! The Decor was sweet and full of local color, so worth the wait during their busy times. And the Elderflower Syrup with Soda was light and refreshing.

Best meal in Budapest! We enjoyed our dinner here very much! The elderflower soda drink was delicious. Goulash was very flavorful and best we had. Chicken paprikas was also fantastic and hubby had pork chops and really enjoyed it. To top off we had the sponge cake which was the perfect ending. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend! (Also prices were much more reasonable than other areas of the city and the food was much better!)

What a gem! I stumbled across this place on Google Maps while searching for Hungarian food, and it turned out to be an amazing find. The chicken stew with dumplings was spot on, great portion size, hearty and satisfying. And the paprika chutney in little bowls? So so good! Service was a real highlight. Our server was friendly, genuine, and never rushed us. Best part : our food arrived in under 5 minutes! The restaurant has a cozy, traditional vibe with warm staff and lovely decor. The menu is simple, available in several languages, and not overloaded with option, which I really appreciate. Highly recommended!

Small but cozy restaurant where the owner welcomes each guest and asks where they're from. He would walk around offering recommendations or a quick chat making one feel at home. The food offered comes in small or regular sizes, which was a blessing, as the average portion sizes in Budapest are rather large. The goulash soup was extremely rich in flavor - I regret not ordering the regular portion. Definitely worth coming here after visiting the castle, but highly recommend making a reservation beforehand or arrive slightly earlier, as a lot of customers had to wait outside for their turn to come in, which might result in a 15+ min wait.

This is THE place to try chicken paprikash in Budapest. Absolutely delicious!! My husband loved the Goulash soup as well. Great service and we were so glad they convinced us to try the traditional pancakes for dessert. Hands down one of our favorite meals during our 2 week Europe trip.

Absolutely loved my dinner at this Hungarian restaurant in Budapest. The cozy atmosphere, the rich and flavorful goulash, and their traditional pálinka made it a truly authentic experience. The staff were warm, kind, and made me feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Budapest.

Delicious food, the goulash was the best in Budapest 🇭🇺🌶️ The lovely older gentleman who welcomed us created an amazing atmosphere and even spoke Polish to us 🤩, which was super nice! We'll definitely be back when we visit Hungary 🇭🇺🇭🇺

Modern European restaurant
Nestled within the stunning Art Nouveau building of the Four Seasons Gresham Palace, KOLLÁZS - Brasserie & Bar offers a timeless and elegant dining experience. The grand setting is complemented by extra touches such as a pop-up flower store, professional calligraphist services, and live mood music. The restaurant boasts an impressive selection of Tokaji wines and bespoke cocktails, including unique creations like the Smokey Forest and the Invisible Hungarian.
Absolutely banging steak frites here, cooked to absolute perfection and one of the best I've had in some time. This was one of our favorite meals in Budapest and would certainly come back. Delicious food, nice relaxed environment and excellent service. Decor is really nice, very cozy modern brasserie vibes, with super comfy booths.

Pleasant restaurant with outdoor seating. Initial service was prompt and friendly but had to ask twice for a few items that didn't arrive. Food wasn't quite cooked to specification but it was still very tasty. Menu had a lot of good options for a range of tastes.

most wonderful dinner at Kollázs! The atmosphere is stunning—elegant and buzzing with a beautiful view of the Chain Bridge. The food was absolutely delicious; we especially loved the modern twist on Hungarian classics (the duck breast was incredible!). Our server was so friendly and gave us perfect wine recommendations to match our meal. It’s the perfect blend of a special-occasion spot and a place where you can just have a really fantastic, memorable night out. Highly recommend!

We arrived for breakfast, the service was very professional and friendly. The selection of food was not as large as I would have expected. There were no cakes. And not enough yogurts and cheeses. The eggs Benedict were excellent. The coffee was also great. The experience is nice. The price is not cheap.

After spending two weeks in Budapest, we met up with all our old and new friends here as a capstone to our time together. Frankly, I don't have much to say about the food and drinks, other than that we had a good time here and the drinks were fine. Certainly prepare for Four Seasons prices, but that's expected.

A flawless experience from beginning to end at KOLLÁZS Brasserie. The service was impeccable, guided by an excellent sommelier who elevated the evening. The French onion soup was the best we have ever tasted, and the steak frites were cooked to perfection. An exquisite meal in an elegant yet relaxed setting. Pricey! But well worth it.

On arrival we were put on a to table in a corner where it seemed everyone were clustered, why they put everyone in one area to avoid serving the entire restaurant is nothing less than lazy, I like to have private conversation and I’m sure the other tables right next to us do too. However, the cappuccino x 2 were returned, basically just a black coffee with foam On top (see pictures) the replacement was just as bad. Then when we required service, we had to almost stand up and wave, three staff including the manager just looked right though us. Asking for more butter was all we wanted, which was as small as a tiny spoon when it arrived. Come on—- this is four seasons not four reasons not to be happy. Never again thanks especially for €60 for two very bad coffees and two scrambled eggs dished (without butter until you ask). Michelin recommended ??? Where they blind.

It’s a beautiful place, perfect for dinner or a drink. Daniel, the bar manager has created a nice cocktail, never thought red wine and cashew would pair so good in a cocktail. The staff are so friendly and surprise me with a beautiful chocolate cake. Overall, it was a pleasant experience Would definitely visit this place again when I am in Budapest. 💕

For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Fisherman's Bastion, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Shoes on the Danube Bank. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Fisherman's Bastion is a 19th-century fortress with seven turreted lookout towers that provide breathtaking panoramic views of Budapest and the Danube River. It is located on the Buda bank and offers a fairytale-like ambiance, making it one of the city's most cherished attractions. The site appeals to romantics, photographers, and travelers seeking picture-perfect vistas. Families with children can also enjoy exploring the ramparts and open terraces while taking in the stunning sights.
Come here for the best views of the Hungarian parliament. They make you pay to actually go up a floor but everything else is free access. To be honest I don’t suggest getting the ticket since the view from elsewhere here is just as good.
Allen L — Google review
Incredibly beautiful. You can walk around much of it without having to pay. If you want to have full access to the top you can either go to one of the restaurants attached. However you can always see panoramic views of the city for free from multiple other locations nearby. But breath taking photos nonetheless.

Beautiful place up on the Buda side. The views are nice and it looks incredible when the lights go on at night. We did not go inside but admired the beautiful architecture from the outside. Definitely a must do when in town.
Jay B — Google review
After the Parliament building this was the most impactful building in Budapest in terms of its striking beauty and architecture. It was very Harry Potter’est looking in places. We walked up there ourselves starting at the Buda Castle and walking along the top which is the best way to explore the area. You can only enter the ramparts of the building with a ticket but you get equal views without having to go on the ramparts. It’s also stunning at night. Don’t forget to also check out the presidential palace near by.

Absolutely breathtaking views over the city. Also great to just walk around and see the old sites and fort and it can all be done for free too. You can also purchase tickets and pay extra to go inside the church and walk up the walls but we didn’t do this and it still sufficed

A must visit attraction whenever you’re in Budapest. Went for sunrise and it was one of the best views I’ve ever seen. Less crowded at sunrise as well and you’re able to get some nice pictures.

Loved this place so much, visited multiple times during the holiday, day and night. Misunderstood what it's first, as its only few towers and a defence wall kind of structure with a restaurant in one of the passage ways, no museum. Need to pay for one of the higher towers, but we didn't. Needed to wait for picture opportunities, but was fine.
Jovita L — Google review
Just a lovely place. We didn’t buy entree Tickets. The outside is more than enough. Don’t miss the gorgeous scenery downstairs. On a bright day, a large portion of Budapest will present itself down below and in the distance. The Matthias church on the left was also breathtaking. (Didn’t care for the inside much, personal taste) This whole district(1) is just one stunning building after another. And some nice greenery and little touches in between.

Buda Castle, located on Castle Hill, is a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers a captivating journey through Hungarian history. The complex houses the Hungarian National Gallery, showcasing an extensive collection of art spanning from Gothic altars to contemporary works by renowned international and Hungarian artists. Visitors can admire pieces by French Impressionists like Monet and Pissarro as well as prominent Hungarian painters such as Munkacsy and Csontvary.
Castle with a lot Hungarian history. You can see much of the castle without buying any tickets. The real highlight is that you can get a good view of the Hungarian parliament as well as the bridge from here. It also lights up at night which looks nice if you’re looking at the castle from below or from the other side

Buda Castle in Budapest is absolutely spectacular. From the moment you arrive, the scale and elegance of the castle are breathtaking. The panoramic views of the Danube and Pest side are incredible, especially from the terrace. Inside, the museums offer fascinating exhibitions that mix history, art, and culture, making it more than just a sightseeing spot. The castle grounds themselves are wonderful to wander, with charming streets, courtyards, and little cafes where you can take a break and soak in the atmosphere. It’s a place where history and beauty come together perfectly and definitely deserves plenty of time to explore.

Definitely worth visiting when in Budapest. Great views of the Pest side from the castle. It is truly spectacular at night with the lights on. There was a lot of restoration work being done so the scaffolding and equipment takes away some of the beauty of this place.

Very big castle and ancient architecture. I have went in the correct time. Because there is rennovation going on one side. Top view will be good for taking photos (chain bridge + Hungarian parliment ) from here..

One of the most spectacular landmarks! Wonderful! Definitely worth a visit. We took the shuttle service which made the whole trip very pleasant, and retained ample energy to visit many interesting spots along the way! It was relatively hot weather so the shuttle was extra helpful. But there is also a public bus service that we realised later.

Magical Walk Through History – Castle Hill, Budapest Visiting Castle Hill in Budapest was one of the highlights of my trip to Hungary. This entire area is a stunning blend of history, culture, and breathtaking views, making it a must-see for any traveler. Perched above the Danube on the Buda side of the city, Castle Hill offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets below. The majestic Buda Castle dominates the skyline and houses both the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum—perfect for anyone interested in art, heritage, and architecture. Just a short walk away is the iconic Matthias Church, with its colorful tiled roof and intricate interior, as well as the fairy-tale-like Fisherman’s Bastion, which offers panoramic views over the river and Parliament building—especially magical at sunset. The cobblestone streets, charming courtyards, and well-preserved medieval atmosphere make the entire district feel like stepping into another time. There are cozy cafés, artisan shops, and quiet gardens to explore, including the beautifully restored Várkert Bazár at the foot of the hill. Whether you're into history, photography, or simply soaking in local culture, Castle Hill has something for everyone. I highly recommend spending a full day here—you’ll leave with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for Budapest’s rich past.

The Church of Our Lady of Buda Castle, also known as Matthias Church, is a 13th-century church with a rich history. It is named after King Matthias, who got married here. The church houses the Matthias Church Collection of Ecclesiastical Art, which includes ornate religious artifacts and replicas of the Crown of St Stephen and other coronation regalia. Visitors can climb the steeple to reach the Panoramic Tower for breathtaking views of the city.
This is a wonderful church and just looks beautiful from the outside and the inside. The facade matches the Fisherman’s Bastion which makes the entire structure look even more majestic. The walls within the church are beautifully painted. When visiting the church you have the opportunity to visit the top of the tower. It will take you some effort to get there. The view from the top is amazing. From the view of the parliament, the Fisherman’s Bastion to the beautiful ornate roof tiles, you will get to see it all. I highly recommend visiting this sight and recommend purchasing the tickets ahead of time.

For me, this church is the second must-see in Budapest. Incredibly beautiful on the outside and very atmospheric inside. I recommend buying a ticket in advance, as the queues for tickets on-site are quite long. I recommend getting the audio guide on your smartphone. The total tour time is 1-1.5 hours. Always crowded, but you can see everything between group tours.
Павел К — Google review
We booked our tickets to visit The Church of Our Lady of Buda Castle (Matthias Church) online. The tickets are flexible with no fixed date, which is convenient. However, when we first went to visit, there was a wedding taking place, and the church was closed to visitors. We had to return the next day, so do keep that in mind if you’re buying tickets in advance — sometimes the church isn’t open to tourists due to private events. I’d highly recommend purchasing tickets online, as there’s usually quite a long queue at the counter. We also bought the audio guide along with our tickets, but the experience was a bit disappointing. It’s not a physical device — instead, it’s accessed through an online website by scanning a QR code and using a passcode provided by the staff. Since we didn’t have earphones with us, it wasn’t easy to listen. Also, the audio guide markers were difficult to match with the actual spots inside. Given the church’s rich historical significance, it would be great if they improved the audio guide experience to make it more engaging and user-friendly. The church itself is absolutely magnificent. The interiors are stunning — every wall is beautifully hand-painted, and the blue stained-glass windows are mesmerizing, each telling a unique story. There are side stairs that lead to the upper level, where you’ll find a area with different artifacts worth exploring. We visited about 1.3 hours before closing in the evening, and it was a wonderful experience — quiet, peaceful, and with very few people around. We spent around an hour inside, taking our time to admire the stunning interiors. Highly recommend visiting during that time if you prefer a calm atmosphere.

We went here as the final stop on a tour and they saved the best time last. The city has so many beautiful buildings and this is certainly one of them. There is a great deal of history here as well as the space. I am not a religious person and I've been to a lot of basilicas, cathedrals and churches since I began visiting Europe some twenty years ago. I've become far more particular about what I visit after having been to so many. This was certainly worth the visit.
Thomas W — Google review
Matthias Church stands magnificently restored in pride of place at a high point of the Buda Castle hilltop site. It's gleaming white stone dazzles in strong sunlight with the polychrome roof tiles providing a colourful canopy. Restoration of castle buildings continues all around with cranes and workers moving above the tourist crowds and route deviations in place. The end result will be wonderful and will be worth a return visit in a few years.
Herm D — Google review
One of the standout buildings in Budapest and a must see. Affordable entry to the castle, tickets can be bought a short walk from the main entrance. We visited when a choir was performing. You can also walk to the far side and head upstairs to get a better view of the main hall.

Mammut Shopping Mall in Budapest offers a diverse and spacious retail experience, featuring a wide array of Hungarian and international brands, fast-food options, and a cinema complex. Spanning 107,000 square meters across two interconnected buildings near Szell Kalman Square, the mall houses over 300 shops, a multiplex cinema, and entertainment facilities such as an 8-pin bowling lane and a modern gym. Visitors can also indulge in aesthetic treatments at various spas.
Old-fashioned, but lovely mall! I saw a lot of restaurants and shops! If you want to shop clothes this is your place, but if you are looking for groceries, I recommend some other place.

Mammut is one of the first shopping malls built in Budapest. It is ideally located on the Buda side of the town, served by tram 4, 6, 17, 59, 61, metro and several local and suburban buses. Coming by car you have the possibility to park your car in the garage, usually you are lucky with space. Wide range of shops, restaurants, services and also a big cinema are in this mall.

It's old-fashioned, but it's a nice, big shopping mall. You can find everything you need, from cosmetics to clothes. There are also shops offering very reasonable prices. Fast food is much cheaper than in Turkey. There is also a large supermarket on the lower floor of the small shopping mall next door.

A great and spacious shopping mall where you can find almost everything you need. There’s a Half Price shop, so you can buy expensive items at very reasonable prices. The mall has its own parking area, so you can leave your car while shopping. I’m not sure about the parking fees, though.

Good example of a nice and organized mall. Most you would want from a place like this is available and well in the heart of the capital to reach any other place by bus or tube or other means of public transportation. Even a big basic grocery store on the sub floor👍

The Hungarian Parliament Building, a stunning example of neo-Gothic architecture, is a must-see landmark in Budapest. Situated along the Danube River, it boasts lavishly decorated rooms and towering spires that captivate architectural enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Families with older children interested in history and politics will also find the site intriguing. To avoid long lines, booking a tour in advance is recommended.
The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the most impressive landmarks in Budapest. The architecture is stunning, with incredible details that reflect the city’s rich history and culture. Even from the outside, the view is breathtaking, especially when seen from across the Danube River. The building looks magnificent both during the day and beautifully lit up at night. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone coming to Budapest, whether for a quick photo stop or a full guided tour.

This is really an impressive building and worth of sightseeing from inside as well. They have prepared the guides in many languages which is very good so people or not limited to english only. It woould be better that the tour was a bit longer and probably more detailed but overall it was fine. Thr big remark goes to the price for entrance which is huge!
Travel — Google review
The Hungarian Parliament Building at night is breathtaking. As darkness settles over Budapest, the entire Gothic Revival masterpiece glows with a golden light that reflects across the Danube, creating a mirror image so perfect it feels dreamlike. Seen from the Buda side, the building dominates the skyline, every spire and arch illuminated with precision. The reflection rippling in the river gives the scene a kind of quiet grandeur that photographs never quite capture. Up close on the Pest side, the building feels even more impressive. The sheer scale, the intricate carvings, and the warm glow of the stone make it clear why it’s one of Europe’s architectural treasures. At night, the Parliament isn’t just a government seat—it’s a symbol of the country’s history, pride, and resilience, standing tall against the dark sky. The best time to visit is after sunset, when the crowds thin and the city slows down. Walk along the Danube promenade, pause on the Chain Bridge, or simply sit by the water and watch the lights flicker. It’s one of those views that remind you why travel matters: moments of stillness and awe that stay with you long after you’ve left.
TheMindisCurious — Google review
One of the most magnificent buildings in all of Europe, pure architectural poetry on the banks of the Danube. The neo-Gothic spires, symmetry, and sheer scale are jaw-dropping, especially when seen from across the river or from a Danube night cruise. Up close, the craftsmanship is even more intricate, statues, arches, and details that feel almost unreal. It’s stunning by day but beyond magical at night, when it glows gold against the dark river. Tip: Skip the guided tour if short on time - the real magic is outside, especially at sunset from the opposite bank or from Fisherman’s Bastion.

The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the most stunning landmarks in Europe. Built in a Neo-Gothic style with pointed towers and intricate details, it dominates the Danube’s riverside skyline. Even if you don’t go inside (the interior visit is paid), it’s absolutely worth admiring from the outside. For the best view, head to the Buda side — the sight of the Parliament reflecting on the river is simply unforgettable.
Luana B — Google review
The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the most magnificent landmarks in Budapest and a symbol of Hungary’s national pride. Completed in 1904, it was inspired by the British Parliament in London and built in Neo-Gothic style, with stunning spires, arches, and a grand central dome. Located along the banks of the Danube River, it offers a breathtaking view both by day and night, especially when illuminated. Inside, visitors can admire the Holy Crown of Hungary, ornate halls, and impressive architecture. Truly one of the most beautiful parliamentary buildings in the world.
Patrizia P — Google review
One of the most stunning structures I've seen. Incredibly beautiful. From all sides. From any distance. Top 1 in Budapest. The photos look unreal, but they're real!) I highly recommend a tour inside. It lasts about an hour. Available in different languages. You definitely need to book in advance for a specific time, because the number of spots is limited. You might wait a couple of hours if you don't book. This is an active government building, so there are security measures - you need to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time. Of course there are items that are prohibited from bringing inside. Regarding the parliament inside. Very atmospheric. A completely different style than the exterior. In my opinion there's too much gold) but it's definitely worth it
Павел К — Google review
Sadly Parliament was in session and so we couldn’t do an inside tour but the outside of the building is mesmerising; especially at night. Birds hover and fly over it presumably catching all the insects the lights attract but the why they glimmer in the light make them look like moving starts. It is a wonderful sight to see. Also ensure you check out the front as they have a reflective pool which offers some unique pictures too. Love how open the building still is not yet ruined by over burdensome security measures.

Nestled along the picturesque Danube Promenade in Budapest, the Shoes on the Danube Bank stands as a poignant tribute to the victims of one of history's darkest chapters. This haunting memorial features 60 pairs of iron shoes, symbolizing the Jewish lives lost at the hands of fascist Arrow Cross Party militiamen during World War II. Each pair represents those who were forced to remove their footwear before facing execution, with their bodies tragically swept away by the river.
Very impressive Basilica! Outside photos are best taken in the evening (sun behind church in the morning). Great architecture and decor inside. We really enjoyed it!

The Shoes on the Danube Bank is one of the most moving and powerful memorials I’ve ever visited. It’s simple in design yet incredibly emotional, rows of iron shoes along the river remind us of the tragic fate of the Jews who were executed here during World War II. Standing in that spot, looking at the shoes with the Danube flowing beside them, you really feel the weight of history and loss. It’s a place of silence and reflection, not just a tourist stop. A must-visit in Budapest if you want to understand the city’s history on a deeper level.

Nice sobering view. It's lovely to see people respectfully taking photos and then moving aside for others to visit/take pics. NOTE: It can be challenging to access via scooter, you're better off walking down to the foreshore after parking your bike/scooter further up (lesson learnt!) ACCESSIBILITY: It is wheelchair and pram accessible and there are large sandstone blocks that people can sit/rest on.

Halászbástya Étterem, also known as Fisherman's Bastion Restaurant, is a charming fine-dining venue nestled within the historic stone walls of Budapest's renowned attraction. Despite its resemblance to a fairytale castle, this 19th-century structure was originally built as a lookout point offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Danube River and beyond, which the restaurant takes full advantage of.
Excellent service, great view. Wonderful bar & sommelier. Presentation of dinner was outstanding. Order the duck liver starter…it’s a show stopper. Located in the castle tower (on the left) behind the Hilton. Server David is so attentive. Creative Hungarian cuisine.

The view is stunning – you could easily spend the whole day there in a dream-like state. Naturally, there's a large flow of tourists. We were there in early June, sitting outside on the terrace, and the heat was overwhelming. Still, it’s absolutely worth having a coffee and soaking in the beauty of the place.

If you find yourself in Budapest and are looking for a truly romantic spot to enjoy an intimate, candlelit dinner with someone special, Halászbástya Restaurant is a must. Perched within the iconic Fisherman’s Bastion, this restaurant offers more than just exceptional food—it delivers an atmosphere so enchanting, it brings words like fairytale to mind. Be sure to book ahead and request a table by the window. The panoramic view over the Danube, with the Parliament building illuminated across the river and the city lights shimmering in the water below, is nothing short of magical. We enjoyed an unforgettable evening here—champagne in hand, candles flickering, and the quiet hum of Budapest’s skyline unfolding before us. The food and service matched the setting. Elegant, refined, and worthy of the location, the dishes were thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, with flavors that honored Hungarian tradition while elevating it to a fine dining experience. The champagne selection was excellent, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed without ever hovering. And then there’s the castle itself. The restaurant’s location within the historic Bastion is remarkable—the architecture, the setting, the history all come together to make this not just a dinner, but a moment. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply indulging in the beauty of the city, Halászbástya Restaurant is an experience you won’t forget. Romantic, refined, and truly lovely.

Perched within the iconic Fisherman’s Bastion, this restaurant offers one of the most breathtaking views in Budapest—overlooking the Danube, the Chain Bridge, and the illuminated Parliament building. The setting alone feels magical, especially at sunset or in the evening when the city lights sparkle. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, with a perfect balance of fine dining sophistication and warm Hungarian hospitality. The service was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, which made the evening feel seamless and special. The food exceeded expectations—beautifully presented dishes that highlight traditional Hungarian flavors with a modern twist. Each plate felt carefully crafted, with bold flavors and thoughtful pairings. The wine list was exceptional, featuring some of the best Hungarian wines that complemented the meal perfectly. Halászbástya Étterem is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience that combines world-class cuisine, outstanding service, and one of the most spectacular views in Europe. Perfect for a romantic evening, a special celebration, or simply indulging in the magic of Budapest. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city—you won’t forget it!

The menu was very comprehensive, with excellent starters and a wide selection of premium wines thoughtfully explained by a knowledgeable sommelier. The main courses were interesting and well-executed. However, the service felt overly intrusive when it came to pouring drinks and clearing plates — we felt rushed, which unfortunately prevented us from fully enjoying the experience.

Despite Google maps suggesting it would be closed on Sunday's, having reached out directly to the restaurant via email to book, my family and I enjoyed a fabulous meal this Sunday evening. The food was excellent, the view amazing and the staff, especially our waiter David, were first class. Their attention to detail was brilliant, with the perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our own company and take in the most fantastic view over Pest from our outdoor table. We arrived at 7pm so benefited from both the view in the daylight, and the stunning illuminated nighttime views of the Houses of Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica and the bridges over the Danube. Not your usual evening meal and a treat for sure, but one that was worth it! A Michelin star surely won't be far away ⭐

This is a top notch experience not to be missed if you are in Budapest. I had the vegetarian tasting menu and each course was gorgeous and flavorful. I went with a group of 7 people and we all felt this is a Michelin-level restaurant. The setting is spectacular, overlooking the Parliament building which sparkles with lights at night. Our server kept our large group very happy. Save room for dessert, it was spectacular.

an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. it was easy to book a table on the phone and we got a same day booking (20:00 on a Tuesday) no problem. the menu is extensive and has wine pairing options and á la carte. we chose 4 courses á la carte with wine advice from the sommelier and all of it was outstanding. the service from Berni, David and Martin was wonderful, warm, professional and entertaining. the table and view were stunning. we cannot wait to return!!

Lángos Land is a popular spot in Budapest, particularly among locals. It's located on the top floor of Feny Street Market in Buda and offers a charmingly unpretentious atmosphere. The stall is known for serving what many consider to be the best lángos in Budapest. Customers can enjoy traditional lángos flatbread with various toppings or opt for a folded version filled with traditional Hungarian sausage.
No trip to Hungary would be complete without eating some Lángos, a classic Hungarian fried bread sold everywhere by street carts and vendors. The Lángos can be topped with a variety of ingredients such as cheese or sour cream, but is usually eaten as is. Fluffy and light, it is made from yeasted dough and often with additional mashed potatoes to make krumplis lángos (Potato Lángos). Another option worth trying is stuffed Lángos! If you're shopping around Fény Street Market, Langos Land is a well known stall on the top floor of the farmer's market, offering generously sized, delicious and affordable Lángos and Melegszendvics (open faced sandwiches)!

What can I say about my experience here? I’ve been coming here for nearly five years now to enjoy their lángos. It’s absolutely fantastic every single time — always fresh, delicious, and made with truly great dough. There has never been a lángos here that I wouldn’t happily order again. It’s a wonderful experience, and I love visiting them, whether in the morning or the afternoon. Any time of day, it’s worth the journey. If there’s one thing guests visiting Hungary should try, it’s definitely this. This is authentic lángos at its best. And it’s not overpriced, either. I sincerely hope these lads will keep serving us for many years to come. They work together brilliantly, and it’s lovely to see the camaraderie among them. Many thanks — and I look forward to coming back again and again!

Absolutely iconic langos. Crispy yet soft on the inside, perfect amount of toppings... Everything was great. Keep in mind the place is a bit difficult to find with GPS. It's on the top floor.
Ann R — Google review
This is the 1st langos I have, so I have no comparisons, but I found this very good. It was crispy on the outside but not oily. The inside was light, fluffy and chewy. The vendor was generous with the cheese. and it was huge! best for 2 pax to share. Definitely must try! The shop is located on the 2nd floor.
Tammy ( — Google review
That was the best langos in the perspective of taste price ratio. I think langos should be a simple dish with the simple prices and this place makes exactly that. Toppings were generous langos was a little bit thick but i think thats not a problem and lastly sauaage was nice. We didnt find here at first you should go top floor of the market place in the corner.

Bistro
Nestled on a quaint cobblestone street within the enchanting World Heritage site of Buda Castle, Pest-Buda Bistro has been delighting diners for over five decades. Housed in a historic building dating back to 1696, this charming eatery is led by Roy Zsidai and features Chef Lajos Lutz at the helm, who brings his expertise from the renowned Gundel Restaurant. The bistro offers an authentic taste of traditional Hungarian cuisine, celebrating flavors that have evolved over centuries.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It was peaceful and clean, tucked away from the crowds—just the kind of atmosphere I was looking for. I truly enjoyed a traditional Hungarian dessert, savoring each bite while listening to the distant hum of the city. It’s one of the few truly positive memories I have from my time in Hungary. I’ll definitely come back again. Many thanks to Martin!
Elizaveta M — Google review
Great food, kind staff, beautiful and cozy place! If you are visiting Matthias Church, this is an excellent stop not too close to the crowds but still incredibly close to everything. As always, prioritize local cuisine! Try the best they have to offer! If you are not willing to experience this fundamental part of a country’s culture, don’t worry, they have plenty of options for unadventurous guests! I was not very hungry and they suggested the classic fish soup, to which I added a salad and a side of their delicious homemade bread! Enjoy this food, place, and atmosphere!

Rude waiter. My husband and I went in for an evening meal. Told by the waiter we would have to be quick to decide what we wanted to eat as the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes.. it was 8.35 pm. The waiter then showed us to our table with a lot of huffing and puffing and tutting! This restaurant adds a service charge to your bill, but that doesn’t stop the waiter hovering with the card machine pointing out the options for further tips before you realise its already added. Food was barely warm and they forgot the bread. Lovely dessert was the saving grace.
Lizzie B — Google review
I strongly do not recommend this restaurant. My experience there was extremely disappointing. The portions were tiny, and the main waiter was rude, constantly more focused on making us leave quickly or order more than providing proper service.During our visit, a couple arrived and was told that if they wanted coffee, they couldn’t sit alone because all tables were reserved. This was clearly false, as only three tables were occupied, and it seemed the staff simply made this up to refuse service. After paying the bill, it started raining heavily. We stood under the restaurant’s umbrella, but the main waiter walked around with a look that clearly suggested we should leave immediately. He didn’t approach us himself—instead, he instructed the second waiter to start clearing tables and even said he needed to close the umbrella. Only at the very end did he come over, in an angry tone, telling us to leave so he could close the umbrella. He could have shown some basic human decency, especially in such heavy rain, but chose to act rude and impatient instead. The staff’s behavior was completely unacceptable. The attitude toward customers was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly advise against visiting this place—you will likely leave frustrated and mistreated.

While we didn’t stay at the hotel, we enjoyed a wonderful evening meal at the restaurant. We were seated promptly and menus were provided right away. We asked our server for advice about which foods and drinks represented Hungarian cuisine best. We loved the goulash stew and the cucumber salad with sour cream. Both were delicious and paired well with the local wine and beer he had suggested. The service was friendly and attentive and the cost very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant for a meal with a local and friendly feel.

Hungarian restaurant
Hungarikum Bisztró is a charming restaurant that offers an authentic Hungarian dining experience. The homely dining room with checkered tablecloths sets the stage for enjoying traditional goulash and pork dishes while listening to live traditional music. The food here tastes like it was made by a Hungarian grandmother, offering mouthwatering meals that capture the true flavors of Hungary. One of their specialties is mangalica, a breed of pig specific to Hungary known for its high-quality meat.
This place has great and truly authentic Hungarian food. My parents are both Hungarian and I grew up eating only Hungarian food. I can honestly say I cried three times while eating here. The food and people made me feel like I was at home in my mom’s kitchen and I might even dare to say they cook better than my dear sweet mother. They don’t dumb down their flavors like so many places for a foreigner’s palate. It is favor packed but if you choose you can adjust spice levels by adding some “Eros pista”, a pepper and spicy paste often added to soups or many dishes at the table. Or you can add a few slices of Hungarian peppers or you can cool plates/spice levels down with a dollop of sour cream or two like a true Hungarian. Book now and don’t wait. I watched tons of people turned away who hadn’t made reservations or whom were having to wait for the 1:30 seating for a possible no-show opening. I stood in line outside for the 12:00 seating myself and was lucky to get a table. I had accidentally booked for another date instead. I came with a big appetite and as an appetizer, I ate a “bab leves”, which is a flavor packed bean soup and for my entree, I ate a traditional stuffed cabbage known to Hungarians as “Töltött káposzta”. If you like bland food dont come here. If you love flavor packed foods and are looking for an authentic Hungarian food experience, come here now.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and our server, Adri, was incredibly attentive. We initially wanted to leave an extra 5% tip for her, but she honestly explained that a 15% service charge was already included in the bill, and the additional 5% would be for her personally. This honesty truly impressed us—it showed that her great service was genuine and not motivated by tips. During our trip in Budapest, this was the first time a server clarified this so openly, which made the whole experience even more memorable!

Good dining experience at this restaurant. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday evening. Our server was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The stuffed cabbage had good flavors and the pan fried chicken was good but nothing that stands out. Overall a great dining experience and the prices were a little on the expensive side.

Having dinner here was the perfect way to end our Budapest trip. It was truly our best dining experience in the city! We ordered the pork loin and duck leg - both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. A special thanks to our server for the attentive and friendly service, and to the musician for creating such a wonderful atmosphere - the live music really put the cherry on top of our night. We’re so glad we didn’t miss this gem! We almost walked away after seeing the “fully booked” sign, but the manager kindly stopped us and offered a spare table. So grateful for that - highly recommended!

Authentic Hungarian dishes, beautiful classical piano pieces, warm hospitality service - what more can you ask for to end the day in this amazing city filled with rich history and culture. Great thanks to the service crew, cook and uncle pianist who made our perfect evening in Budapest even better. Delicious Hungarian food served by passionate and helpful staff. We were so lucky to find a seat here. We had a great experience starting with the staff that greeted us upon arrival, then the music, and lay but certainly not least, the amazing food!

The duck was dry and barely warm, as if it had been cooked days ago. The cabbage rolls were delicious though. The waiter was quite intrusive with his constant talking — and then 15% service charge on top of that! The atmosphere was magical, with live instrumental music and a beautiful location.

One of the best dining experiences during my Euro trip. Amazing atmosphere. The host was so gracious to let us know to come back in 30 mins since we did not have reservations and it was our final day in Hungary. Service was awesome and our server was quick and very funny. There was a mini-split A/C unit which was very helpful compared to some other establishments that we baked alive inside. The grand finale of the experience was the live music. 10/10 experience that will never be forgotten.

Nestled at the end of Andrassy Avenue, Heroes' Square is a must-visit landmark in Budapest that beautifully encapsulates Hungary's rich history. This grand square, built in 1896, is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site and showcases impressive statues of the Seven Chieftains of the Magyars, who played pivotal roles in founding the nation. The Memorial Stone of Heroes honors those who sacrificed their lives for Hungary’s freedom.
We hadn’t taken a walk in the capital for a while. It has developed a lot, and everything was beautifully organized and clean everywhere. The nearby City Park also offers a lovely way to spend some time.

Enormous square filled with monuments and surrounded by beautiful buildings. It’s insane to think that this was hidden and covered by the communist leaders in the 50s, that kind of cultural erasure is really one of the strangest elements of the communist and fascist movements in the 20th century. Behind the square, there is a park with an amazing old castle on a lake that you should visit if you are in the area.

Heroes' Square (Hősök tere) is one of the major squares in Budapest. It is known for its famous monument with statues of the Seven Hungarian Chieftains and other important Hungarian national leaders, as well as the Heroes' Memorial Stone, often incorrectly called the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The square is located at the end of Andrássy Avenue next to the City Park (Városliget). It houses the Museum of Fine Arts and the Palace of Arts (Műcsarnok). The square has played an important role in modern Hungarian history. It has been the scene of many political events, such as the reburial of Imre Nagy in 1989. Most of the sculptures were made by the sculptor György Zala from Lendava, and one by György Vastagh.

Nestled beside an artificial lake in City Park, Vajdahunyad Castle is a stunning testament to the evolution of Hungarian architecture. Originally crafted from wood and cardboard for the Millennial Exhibition in 1896, this enchanting structure was so beloved that it was rebuilt in stone and brick by 1908. The castle beautifully showcases a blend of architectural styles, including Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque influences drawn from various landmark buildings across Hungary.
We only enjoyed the outside of it whilst having a walk trough the park but was worth seeing. The lake side has the better views and if you keep walking past the lake side and ‘back bridge’ you’ll find the miniature Dracula who reminded us a lot of the character from Hotel Transylvania!

A short walk behind the grand statues of Heroes' Square is a surprising and delightful place: Vajdahunyad Castle. It's a wonderful, almost storybook-like location, and unlike a true fortress, it feels more like an open-air museum of architectural styles. The castle is a fascinating sight because it’s not a single, cohesive building. It’s a mix of different architectural styles, with parts of it modeled after famous buildings from various parts of Hungary. You can see Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements all seamlessly blended together. It's a truly unique and beautiful place to explore. We were lucky to visit during a holiday, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The highlight for us was the medieval stand for play. It was a fun and unexpected addition to the visit, with people in costumes and games that added a sense of excitement and history to the beautiful setting. It’s a great example of how this castle brings the past to life. Vajdahunyad Castle is a wonderful place to walk around, take photos, and simply enjoy the peaceful park setting. It offers a great mix of history, architecture, and a fun atmosphere, making it a highly recommended stop right next to Heroes' Square.

It's not very big but it's the most beautiful castle in Budapest surrounded by large garden with lush greenery and even lake with ducks frolicking around. Many blueberries plants just front of the castle. Can really relax here and enjoy the scenery for whole day. But the castle main entrance has very old wooden gate hanging precariously showing all the sharp planks which looks scary as if will fall on to you when you walk below it.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest is a neoclassical art museum that houses an extensive collection of artworks from various periods and regions. The museum recently moved to a purpose-built facility in the City Park, where it originally presented its collection to the public in 1896. The museum's exhibition spaces have been expanded, allowing for the display of its 250-thousand-piece collection, which includes artifacts from the Carpathian Basin and around the world.
We visited exhibition of works by the mysterious Master MS. The exhibition was excellent - very professional. We also enjoyed permanent exhibitions. There are surprisingly many high-quality paintings. The musuem building is magnificient and well-kept. Entrance fees are reasonable. The museum staff is helpful and very polite.

This is one of the major museums with an impressive collection of paintings. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the architecture of the building, and of course the art. They also host weddings here, so don’t be surprised if you spot a bride and groom in some of the rooms. If you’re thinking of visiting, I’d say it’s definitely worth your time. Just a heads up, don’t carry your jacket around. You’ll need to either wear it or check it in at the entrance.

I’m not usually an art person, but I really enjoyed visiting this gallery. The collection focuses on works painted up to the 1800s, including a few paintings by El Greco and even a sculpture attributed to Da Vinci. The layout makes it easy to follow — paintings are grouped by century and style, which helps a lot if you’re not an art expert. On the basement there’s also an ancient history section with Egyptian artefacts, which was fascinating. We spent about half a day there and didn’t even get to the special exhibitions due to time. A very enjoyable visit overall!

I visited the exhibition on Friday and was truly impressed. The collection is very, very rich and beautifully presented, with great attention to detail and atmosphere. Every piece seems carefully chosen and displayed with real passion. The staff were all exceptionally kind and helpful, always ready to assist and answer questions. I would especially like to mention the lady who volunteers and hands out the audio guides — she was absolutely wonderful, very kind and welcoming, and made the experience even more pleasant. It’s just a pity that the section with 18th-century paintings wasn’t accessible due to renovation, but that’s understandable — and I’m sure that once it reopens, the whole exhibition will be even more complete. Overall, it was a delightful visit — warm, professional, and inspiring. A truly impressive and rich collection, highly recommended to all art lovers!

Overall, the museum is quite accessible for visitors with disabilities, although there are a few things to keep in mind. The main wheelchair access is not through the front door but via a small lift located on the right side of the building. The lift is a bit hidden, so you might need staff assistance to find it. It’s also quite small — it can only fit one wheelchair and one companion at a time. Once inside, accessibility becomes much easier, with spacious galleries and a larger internal lift connecting the floors. A great feature is that wheelchair users and their companions can enter for free by showing an official disability certificate or doctor’s note. The staff were very friendly and immediately guided us to the accessible entrance without any long wait. An accessible toilet is available near the main lobby, clean and easy to reach. ♿ Accessibility Checklist: ✅ Side entrance lift (small and slightly hidden) ✅ Large internal lift ✅ Accessible toilet ✅ Free entry for wheelchair user + companion ✅ Helpful and kind staff Highly recommended for visitors with disabilities who want to explore art in a calm and inclusive environment. #WheelchairAccessible #AccessibleBudapest #InclusiveTravel #AccessibleByWalkandSee

This is an excellent museum with all the facilities the visitors need. It is worth checking the website because nowadays extra events related to the exhibitions are available, e.g. performances, presentations, degustation of vine, concerts, etc.

Exquisite collections, both permanent and temporary, that portray major periods of European art and many of their most significant artists . The building is in itself reason enough to visit as you can see in the images. It is advisable to go early to have time to admire every detail in the museum.

A very large and beautiful museum with stunning architecture, well worth the money we paid. We really enjoyed it, and it takes about two to three hours to see the entire museum.

The Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest is a neoclassical venue adorned with ceiling frescoes and statues of composers, offering opera and ballet performances as well as guided tours. It's a captivating destination for opera and theater enthusiasts, architecture aficionados, and those who appreciate grandeur and artistic heritage. The opulent interiors and world-class performances make it a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique cultural experience.
What a stunning building, left completely untouched by the bombs of the world wars. Even if you don't like opera, the tour is informative and lets you see inside its stunning interiors from painted ceilings, ornate handcrafted hardwood fixtures and and abundance of different marble to the exquisite auditorium and massive stage. The tour ends with an short performance which I really enjoyed.

The Hungarian State Opera House is located on the famous Andrássy Avenue in the center of Budapest. Its building is massive and magnificent, in neo-Renaissance style. From the information I obtained from the internet, it was built in 1884 and has the status of a World Heritage Site. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to visit it inside, I hope I have the chance to do it next time.

This one may be smaller than the Vienna State opera House, but it may be more beautiful. Just amazing architecture and breathtaking beauty every direction you look. Take the tour, it is with the money.
S T — Google review
Amazing place. Magnificent both inside and outside. Really liked sound here. Enjoyed the best opera in my life. Unfortunately that was terribly hot on the top balconies, but that’s what you have to face while visiting such a historic place. I wish the prices in the bar where lower, but nobody forbids you bringing your own water.
Dzmitry U — Google review
We visited Symphony no. 8 and it was great, so many talented people in one show!!! The Opera itself also worth visiting, looks gorgeous and so royal, not like Vienna’s Opera. This one looks very well maintained and renovated, every sitting place is equipped with subtitles monitor. We had a great evening as family at this place.
Maria A — Google review
One hour tour. First 30 minutes sitting inside the Opera house listening to its history and architecture. Almost fall into sleep. The rest touring the house is good and end with a short wonderful opera performance.
Van L — Google review
Gorgeous & a must-visit for tourists. Check for timing on English tours & buy tickets in advance. Our tour was fantastically informative & the photo-ops were breathtaking. Best of all - our tour concluded with a LIVE OPERA PERFORMANCE on the grand staircase by a duo of artists from the opera company!!! FANTASTIC!!!
Madelyn B — Google review
Don’t let the exterior of this building fool you, it may look like just “another historical landmark “ , because the moment you step inside you will be wow-ed by the ornate decor, the opulent designs and most importantly the high profile notes and echos through the hallway

N28 Wine and Kitchen, located just off Andrassy Avenue in Budapest, is the brainchild of Mark Molnar, who has spent years working in Spain. The menu offers a fusion of Spanish and Hungarian cuisine. In addition to being a restaurant, N28 also functions as a boutique wine store with an impressive collection of Hungarian wines from various regions. Guests can expect top-notch service and expert recommendations for food and wine pairings from the friendly staff.
We had a lovely dinner here. The service was great, the food was amazing, and I would definitely come here again! I thoroughly enjoyed the venison corn risotto - it was so delicious. The pork was also tender, with an amazing pumpkin puree on the side. The veal packed a nice crunch with ham and cheese on the inside as well. If you like pistachio, a hint of ginger, and basil then you will love the pistachio cake 😊 Highly recommend!
Sofia H — Google review
Excellent food ranging from beautiful Hungarian classics like goulash to European style cooking like a well seared pork chop and English trifle. The wine recommendations from the friendly staff are also spot on. Prices are certainly higher than the typical Budapest establishment but not too bad for the quality you’re getting.

We had an amazing time in Budapest — such a romantic city. But the most romantic moment was dining at N28 Wine & Kitchen. The service was truly exceptional, a solid 11/10. Great food, wonderful vibes, and a perfect atmosphere.
Sheana — Google review
This restaurant is a must-try when in Budapest. It takes very high-quality ingredients and cooks them to perfection. Each dish we tried was amazing and was definitely one of the trip's highlights. If I were to make one suggestion, it would be to turn the music down a little.

My bf booked this place for my bday dinner on our trip to Budapest. Food was tasty and excellent! The atmosphere and service was top!!! We really enjoyed our time here. Will be back if i come back to Budapest :)
Crystal H — Google review
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. We came for lunch yesterday and from the moment we arrived, the experience was impeccable. I ordered from the A la Cart menu - the Osso Bucco, the depth of flavour was just perfect. My partner ordered the salmon starter and cod main from the daily changing lunch menu and it was great. The wine of the day matched our dishes perfectly, one red, one white and both local to Budapest. The stand out for me though was the service. Our server was flawless. He always knew what we needed and when we needed it. He was humorous and friendly and clearly enjoys his job which always makes a huge difference. I always struggle when servers check in too often or too little but he could read the situation and never hovered over us but I could still tell that he was watching to see if we needed something (because as soon as we needed it, he was there providing it). If we weren't travelling to Prague today, I would be back again this evening. I recommend N28 Wine and Kitchen 100%. I made a reservation to be sure to get a table, I knew it would be great and it exceeded my expectations.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at N28 last week. Our waiter was exceptional, giving us some helpful insights about Hungarian wine. We arrived late and were the last to leave but no one made us feel rushed. Shrimp appetizer, goulash and osso buco were all yummy.

I believe this is the next best bistro restaurant in Budapest. I am going to visit this place every time when I am in the city. Service is impeccable, the ambiance is super nice. The food is delicious. Great wine list!

Hungarian restaurant
Gundel Cafe Patisserie Restaurant, located in City Park, has a rich history dating back to 1894. Under the ownership of Karoly Gundel since 1910, it has become an internationally renowned venue for Hungarian and French gastronomy. The restaurant is famous for its classic dishes as well as its own unique recipes such as Paloc soup, Somlo-style sponge cake, and the iconic Gundel crepe.
Every visit to Budapest feels incomplete without a stop at Gundel. The restaurant has preserved its timeless elegance, allowing guests to step back into the refined atmosphere of the early 20th century. The cuisine is exquisite — each dish prepared with care and rich in flavor — and the service is consistently attentive and professional. Prices are very reasonable for the quality offered. Dining here is not only a culinary delight but also a journey into history.

Lovely place to have a beautiful dinner. Perfectly situated for a walk to zoo, park area or hero’s square. The traditional but upscale cuisine was very delicious. I’ve decided the Hungarian’s are the best soup makers. It was a nice meal with some service hiccups. The waiter did not have the best grasp of the English language and that was fine, but our glasses of libations were left empty for a while before refilling and our empty serving plates were slow to be taken. A couple of waiters noticing were quick to remedy the young waiter and waitress errors. Live music was divine. Definitely a good choice.
Mrs W — Google review
Oh my - I’m always cautious of places like these on the basis that they are simply trading on their name after all this time but I couldn’t not have been more wrong! The food was superb but what absolutely made our evening was how expertly Béla guided us through the wine menu and recommended us a bespoke Hungarian wine flight that both matched our preferred wines and our courses. This guy needs to move towards becoming a sommelier as his knowledge was superb. Thanks for a wonderful last evening in Budapest!
Kaye M — Google review
I visited Gundel with my mother during our trip to Budapest, as I wanted to treat her to a special dinner. The restaurant’s strong reviews, elegant atmosphere, and reputation for great food made it an easy choice and it certainly lived up to expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed and guided to our table, and throughout the evening the staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations whenever we were unsure. The restaurant itself is beautiful and classy, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening. I started with an Espresso Martini served in a cappuccino-style cup—a creative and delightful touch. For dinner, we chose the meal + starter/soup option. The staff kindly went above and beyond by serving us two bowls of soup rather than asking us to share one, which was a small but very thoughtful gesture. The goulash soup, in particular, was outstanding - tender meat and incredible flavor. Every dish we tried was excellent, and we truly enjoyed the whole dining experience. The only element I personally wasn’t fond of was the live band walking around the tables asking for money after playing. While some guests may enjoy it, I felt it was a bit out of place in such a refined setting. That said, our evening at Gundel was absolutely wonderful. Both the food and the service were exceptional, and I would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Budapest!
Paulius Z — Google review
An outstanding lunch between visiting the museum. Old world elegance, the ambiance is part of the experience. Music was excellent. We ordered their multi-course meal, which was a lot of food. The food was delicious, everything well presented. Very popular, so reserve ahead.
G P — Google review
Gundel is a classic. You feel it the moment you walk in – the chandeliers, the music, the sense of history. Few places carry that kind of presence. The food was wonderful. The foie gras was deep and balanced, the dessert refined and rich. Everything about the kitchen feels confident and precise. The head waitress was excellent – calm, professional and genuinely attentive. But the choreography of the service wasn’t quite in sync. The rhythm slipped here and there, and in a place like Gundel that flow is part of the experience. Still, it’s an extraordinary restaurant. When it all aligns, you’re reminded why this house has become part of Budapest’s story.
Laus R — Google review
Highly recommended! We visited during Restaurant Week and enjoyed a 3-course meal for just 10,900 HUF. Everything was delicious, especially the chicken soup — it’s the best I’ve ever had.
Bebe B — Google review
We visited Gundel twice—first for cake and coffee, which was so delicious and beautifully presented that we booked a table for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The woman at the front desk gave us a fantastic table (Paul Newman!) and made us feel truly special. The service was some of the best we’ve ever experienced—warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. The dinner exceeded all expectations, and the live music created a magical atmosphere. An unforgettable experience from start to finish!

Little Italy pizzéria & söröző

Italian restaurant
Little Italy pizzéria & söröző is a cozy neighborhood spot in Budapest, exuding an authentic Italian vibe with its décor and Italian servers. The restaurant offers a simple yet inviting setting with about 6-7 small tables and two rooms. The menu features a variety of pizzas with different toppings at reasonable prices, ranging from 1,900-3,200 for pizzas. While the establishment only accepts cash, it's known for serving delicious pizzas that are well worth the visit.
I had heard a lot about this place from local friends, so I finally had to give it a try. The atmosphere feels very authentic, and the English-speaking staff adds to the welcoming vibe. However, the opening hours are a bit tricky, so planning ahead is essential. The menu is simple and easy to navigate, offering a well-curated selection of pizzas—just enough variety without being overwhelming. I went with the Cesare pizza and a Pasticciotto Leccese for dessert. Both arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. The pizza had a great balance of toppings with a deliciously crispy crust, while the dessert, filled with Nutella, was a perfect sweet finish. Overall, I had a great lunch here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian flavors in Budapest. Plus, if you pay with cash, you get a discount on all pizzas—definitely worth keeping in mind!

got a discount since we paid in cash, it reduced by a lot !!! the man who took our order was helpful. the food is the main star tho, light delicious mozzarella and ham/ pepperoni. i will always dream about this pizza

We arrived late in the city and the restaurant was very close to our hotel. We arrived about 25min before closing and asked to be seated and they had no problem doing so they told us they close at nine if that was ok for us we were delighted. We ordered the calzone and it was simply amazing the staff were friendly and attentive. I really would recommend this place and will definitely be back to try the desserts, as we were to full from the calzone's 5 stars all the way
Philip D — Google review
I do not like the idea that they demand cash only. In fact this is against the law in Hungary. But things go a bit further. If you do comply with cash, they deduct 1000ft of your pizza, but you use a phone like me to pay, you’ll end up in a debate with the staff and pay the menu price as it’s offered. The pizza is good, I’ve been here throughout my 8 years of Budapest. But the quality has gone down, while prices have doubled, and higher. This is a bit sad to see. The once great pizza is now overwhelmed with a large amount of competition. To be clear you can pay with card, but they will be resistant. This once hidden gem has deteriorated, unfortunately.
Remco V — Google review
An absolutely wonderful place with an atmosphere that felt genuine. The pizzas were great and the ricotta and peach crostata was perfect with a shot of limoncello.
Prodan D — Google review
Wonderful pizza 🍕 Lovely service 🥰
Melinda W — Google review
The restaurant is on the smaller side with about 6-7 smaller tables. There are 2 rooms. The first room you’ll walk into from the entrance is the kitchen and to the right is mainly where people eat. Prices are very decent too and has a nice range of different toppings. Ranging anywhere from 1,900-3,200 for pizzas, 550-4,990 for drinks, and 1290-1490 for desserts. Do keep in mind too that they only accept cash. They specialize in pizzas and they do it very well. The food tasted wonderful and even though the pizza crust was a bit salty for my taste the calzone’s cheese and mushroom mix had such good flavour and left me wanting much more. Overall, a really nice place to hop into while walking around the city or if you’re just craving some pizza.
Xoom T — Google review
Really amazing gem. The pizza was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The prices were really affordable, cheapest restaurant we have seen in Budapest and the food was the best. We had the Parmagina and Bufala pizzas with 2 cokes and a .5l beer, total was around 23EUR. You can pay in HUF or EUR.(CASH ONLY) Highly recommend this place for a great meal at affordable prices.
