A nice getaway place away from the city. Took about 1h15m of subway plus suburban railway to travel from Budapest to here. A beautiful castle with lots of character! The castle itself is stunning, filled with beautiful paintings, old photographs, memorabilia, and historical charm. However, I was a bit disappointed by the gardens. The grass and overall landscaping didn’t seem well maintained, which took away from the experience. We also found only one map, so we often weren’t sure where we were or what we were looking at. With some care and attention, the gardens have great potential, and if they were revamped, this place could truly be a hidden gem inside and out.

A beautiful park. Great for a walk, a picnic or a workout. It has a big picnic area, free gym area, and a dedicatied exactly 1km soft floor circuit for runners. There is at least one big event here every year with big concerts and fireworks. There are railway, bus, and suburban train stations right next to the park.

Nice little place close to the castle of Gödöllő. You can decide sitting outside on the terrace or inside. The building is an old one but nicely refurbished and the atmosphere is okay. When passing by, we wanted to have a coffee and dessert however, at the entrance we we were asked "eat, eat?"- with poor english, so we replied that we would like to have a coffee and dessert. Valentine’s Day menu. This is my 4th time visiting this place (3no times was back in 2022 during my last visit in Hungary). I have never been disappointed with fabulous food. Taste was carefully thought through and put together; while executed perfectly with fine skills. On top of the delicious food, staff were friendly with calm and enjoyable atmosphere. Our family of 4 enjoyed a great lunch at Pizza Palazzo a few weeks ago while visiting Godollo Castle. I had a great burger & fries and the kids enjoyed a well prepared Napoli pizza. It’s nice to see both types of food prepared well. Would definitely eat there again.

Cool zoo to see. Went an hour before close and enjoyed experiencing the zoo without crowds. Really enjoyed seeing the bears, lions, and wolves.

We had a great time with the kids, checked out th bears, wolves and all the sheeps, deers and muflons. Spent almost the whole day there, there is a brilliant playground and a train which goes to a mining tunnel. Really fun and it's great to see that bears will get healthy snacks now instead of the constant honey -sbacking,as it was about 10 years ago. I enjoyed an excellent tour at 11am but there were various public feedings, informative and interesting.

I'm not even joking... it was almost an urbexing experience if it wasn't for the occasional animal in the enclosure (which sometimes were hard to spot at all, some were the only one in the enclosure all by themselves 😔) The wolves all had infected and fly ridden ears and most animals looked stressed and bored out of their minds with 0 enrichment. The only animals I kind of enjoyed watching were the raccoons, the one caretaker that was there was playing with them a little. Great experience, good track and stands. As always, the more you pay the better view you get. 4 stars because of lack of screens around the track, especially for general admission away from start. Great advantage of this race is that you can enter the track after race which is fantastic feeling and experience. I would recommend stands in this corner (video) because you kinda see the most. And you should count on losing 2-3 hours after the race to leave the parking spaces.

The covered grandstand have just been updated (2025) and they are fantastic. The view of the starting line and the straight (1st drs zone) and into turn 2 is phenomenal. On the platinum level you have your own bathrooms that even between breaks had a short line or none and dedicated drink/snack vendors. A full assortment of food vendors were right below with excellent quality food at great prices. It is a short walk, about 20 min or so from lot 1.

Attended the 2025 F1 race at Hungaroring and had an amazing experience! The event was extremely well organized, with plenty of activities outside the track such as F1 simulators, pit stop challenges, and other attractions to keep fans entertained. Official merchandise was widely available, and no matter where you were seated, there were nearby water stations, clean toilets, drinks, shops, and F1-themed activities. I was especially impressed with how well the facilities were maintained given the size of the crowd. Overall, an unforgettable and seamless F1 weekend — highly recommend!

Many trees dried off, the paths are in bad conditions, no signposting at all !!! Plants are generally not marked. If you want to visit an Arboretum, choose the Vácrátót. There is a little train (Kisvasút) starting from the territory, and no information is available about it at the entrance - you have to walk all the way up there first (or call by phone for info). After the closing time the gate stays a bit open for letting out those already in, the guy said they will start closing it for the night as of next year.
