Open air museum
Certaldo Alto is the upper historical part of Certaldo, featuring a medieval castle and fortified walls dating back to the twelfth and fifteenth centuries. The Piazza serves as the focal point for main buildings in this well-preserved medieval village. Despite some post-World War II reconstruction, Certaldo Alto retains its authentic charm. Visitors can enjoy a serene atmosphere in the evening, with illuminated palaces and quiet lanes echoing with natural sounds.
Small village, thinking in Toscany you have to pass from here and put it in your trip is just 2 hours includong lunch, and the views are incredible as is is a beautiful day you can see even San Gimignano as it is really near.

Very cute town to walk around, we went offseason so a lot was closed. But still , charming little town
Simone G — Google review
A beautiful, historic town off the beaten track, without crowds of tourists.
Daniel G — Google review
It is very Italian village. You can experience here a real magic climate, where people rest while drinking a coffee having chat about ordinary life. We have been to many places (St Gimignano, Florence, Pisa, volterra etc) but this one is tiny lovely place. The ice creams on the very top of medieval village in our opinion bit any other ice creams we have ever tried in our life’s even the best Ice creams in the world from San Gimignano :)
Tomasz P — Google review
Beautiful underrated old town. Almost without crowds and turists. Must see definitely. Very nice local restaurants
Tomislav G — Google review
No open shops for basic needs. You have to travel quite a bit to the nearest Coop to get items. All stores were closed from Monto Wednesday. Cute town
Yolandi C — Google review
I think this was my favourite place to visit in Tuscany. We stumbled upon at accidentally, but what a hidden gem it is! It has a fully preserved medieval castle with the frescos mostly intact, which I have not seen anywhere else. If you can find the Belltower entrance from the garden, near the bathrooms, the view from there is amazing, and you can see San Gimignano in the distance. We actually saw San Gimi from pretty much every town we visited, and from every pre-medieval castle, in Tuscany, because they were all built on top of the hills. The nice thing about it is that Certaldo Alto is off the beaten path and is not crowded, like Volterra & San Gimi are. Buy the combo ticket for the Castle, The Cloister, and Casa de B. Make sure you visit all the dungeons in the cloister and the Castle. For some reason Google reviews is not allowing me to post photos, but I will do my best to get them uploaded
Angella R — Google review
Nice little elevated historical town. Not that big but still worth the visit. The town is beautiful and so are the views on the surrounding landscape. Surprisingly a lot of restaurants for such a small place but they blended in with the surroundings. The little train wasn't expensive. Medium number of tourists when we visited (june 2024).

In the charming town of Certaldo, the Palazzo Pretorio stands as a symbol of political power. Situated on Via Boccaccio, it is accompanied by the church and the Logge del Mercato, once a bustling trading spot. The area that now appears as squares used to be simple vegetable gardens in the past. Visitors can explore this medieval gem and admire its frescoes and dungeon inside the main building.
The most preserved pre-medieval castle I have ever seen. Even the frescos are 75% original. Be sure to go up to the bell-tower from the little garden, for amazing views! Located on top of a hill in Alto Certaldo, like all of the old cities in Italy. Same garden has paths to the church and the toilets. If you look to the left side of the castle, you will see San Gimignano in the distance! Be sure to buy the combination ticket for the three different properties they offer you, is there all worth seeing, and make sure you don't miss the dungeons in the cloister and the Castle.
Angella R — Google review
Well worth visiting, so much to see here, for 5€ each you get access to this and 2 other museums. There's plenty of rooms too visit in, all with information, plus you can go up to the top of the clock tower and get great views of Certaldo Alto. Not busy at all when we visited on a weekday morning.
Jamie P — Google review
This is the highlight of the medieval town. You can enter the main building to see frescoes and the dungeon. Exit through the back to visit an old church. The best part is the climb to the top of the bell tower, which you access from the garden next to the church. At the top you get some fantastic views of the old town and surrounding countryside. You have to pay for at least 2 museums, although the cost is only €4 per person. The bonus was a visit to the house down the main street, with another tower, which has good views as well
Dan W — Google review
An interesting place with a long of history. Some really nice frescoes. Well done presentations, and a cheap ticket (€5) for 3 small but interesting museums. Worth a visit for sure.
Ryan A — Google review
Five stars, if only for the magnificent frescoed tabernacle by Benozzo Gozzoli in the adjoining church reached via the back courtyard. Throughout the palazzo there are various frescoes and terracotta works along with other artifacts of historical significance.

A nice palazzo to view the tower was closed for renovation when we visited though. Some good museum pieces & lovely courtyard.

The Funicolare di Certaldo is a convenient and quick way to reach the medieval village of Certaldo Alto from the modern town below. The short ride, which costs 1.50 euros for a return journey, offers great views and provides a stark contrast between the modern architecture at the foot of the hill and the old medieval buildings at the top. The funicular runs every 15 minutes, making it easily accessible for visitors.
Simple, quick and cheap way of getting up to Certaldo Alto, saves a lot of walking! Runs every 15 minutes or so, at the bottom there's a booth to pay or a machine - at the top just a machine - 1.70€ return. There's also a countdown at the bottom until the next one leaves. Great views of Certaldo, especially coming back down, definitely worth a trip. Was not busy on the weekday we visited, in either direction.
Jamie P — Google review
What a perfect surprise while driving to our Tuscan accommodation. Took the funicular up to the small walled village/castle which has a few restaurants (didn't have time to try unfortunately) and a gelateria which was delicious! Amazing views and atmosphere walking around for the hour that we stopped.
Ben D — Google review
Nice ride but the inside is very stuffy. Almost no air.
Jus S — Google review
If you want to visit the medieval town of Certaldo you must use the funicolare train to get there. The ticket costs €1.50 for a return journey, per person and the train runs every 15 minutes. As a bonus when you return there is a good, yet cheap sandwich shop at the bottom, immediately to the right as you exit. Park in the car park opposite, which has reasonable prices.
Dan W — Google review
Cheap, fast, reliable and beautiful views. Normally without waiting. Best way to get to Certaldo Alto and back.
Jožko M — Google review
It’s definitely worth taking a trip up to Certaldo old town, and this is a very easy and inexpensive way to get there. EUR1.70 per adult for a return trip.
Zoe W — Google review
What a lovely small town Certaldo is! In the heart of Val d'Elsa, we visited it on our way back to Firenze from a morning visit to San Gimignano, and had a great time. There are two parts to this charming city - Certaldo Basso, which is the lower part in the valley which is mainly residential with some businesses, and Certaldo Alto, the old-world medieval part at the top of the hill, with Palazzo Pretorio, author Giovanni Bocaccio's house, as well as historic churches, a museum, several great restaurants, and a great view. Once parked for free at the bottom, the funicolare is a great and fast way to get to the top, and well worth the nominal fee (€1,70 round trip). We actually took the funicular to the top, had lunch and walked around, and then took the path by foot back to the bottom. Highly recommended!

If you're planning a summer getaway to Tuscany, make sure to include Certaldo in your itinerary around mid-July to early August for the enchanting Mercantia Festival. This vibrant event transforms the charming streets, historic palaces, and lush gardens of the old town into a lively hub of creativity and entertainment for five days.
Mercantia is one of my favorite events! We go every year. The artists, the art, the venue, the food, and the atmosphere are all top notch. We try to go twice during the week that it is open, so we have a chance to see all the shows. I recommend going any day other than Saturday. Saturday is too crazy and too crowded. You will not be able to see all the magical shows and art if you go on that day. Enjoy the magical atmosphere!

Restaurant
Ristorante Il Castello is a charming hotel and restaurant nestled in the heart of Certaldo, set in the town's oldest and most picturesque area. The ambiance exudes a sense of history with its stone walls and vaulted ceilings, while the panoramic garden offers a seamless connection to the stunning natural surroundings. With over 50 years of experience, the dedicated staff at Ristorante Il Castello are adept at ensuring guest satisfaction.
This was hands down the best dining experience we had throughout our trip in Italy. Everything on the menu was phenomenal and the service staff went above and beyond to provide the best service we received. One member took a few minutes to discuss all the Chianti wine options with us to help us select an option everyone in our group would enjoy. The courses were perfectly timed apart and everything we displayed beautifully. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This place was very cozy and had an incredible view. You have to take the cable car up to the old town, it’s a beautiful and charming area definitely worth exploring. We booked a table in advance and requested one with a view, which we were happy to receive. Our table was right at the edge, allowing us to enjoy a stunning sunset. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere very pleasant. The waiters were attentive, but at times it got quite busy, so we occasionally felt a bit overlooked. Still, this was understandable since the restaurant was completely full. Overall, I highly recommend this place as it offers a wonderful experience combining the old town, the view, and excellent food

We were staying in the area and went to Certaldo for an early afternoon trying to avoid the crowds at San Gimignano nearby. We happened upon this restaurant and chose it mainly for the beautiful garden and astounding views! We were then just blown away by the quality and taste of the amazing food we ordered. Our server was so thoughtful and helpful, and answered all our questions! It was truly a magical dining experience, and it felt even more special because we just chose it kind of at random! Don't be like us, and go there on purpose! You'll be so happy you did!

Went to the food fair last week, but preferred to have a real decent dinner - and dropped in there. Food was fine, wine list is extensive, service was nice - especially the padrone, who had time for a nice chat, recommendations - and even brought me my forgotten basecap even to the train! I definitely recommend this venue.

It was our first time at this restaurant, even though we’ve been in the Certaldo area three times already. Ristorante Il Castello turned out to be a hidden gem. A beautiful courtyard where the tables are set, surrounded by ancient walls and offering a breathtaking view of the surroundings — with a sunset included in the price. The staff was very kind and helpful, genuinely making an effort to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The food was excellent. We went for antipasti and primi piatti, with a glass of wine and some bread. Superb! Highly recommended!

We had an evening meal there. We were staying elsewhere. Beautiful setting, gorgeous food and wine. The staff were also amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had a special evening. We will be back next year. Thank you very much 🙏🏻🤩☺️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had dinner here last weekend and the experience was truly memorable. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and rustic décor. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, ready to recommend dishes and wine pairings with confidence. The menu offers a selection of traditional dishes with a modern twist. I tried the Pici with duck ragù a perfect balance of freshness and creaminess. Desserts also deserve a plus. The value for money is excellent, considering the quality of the ingredients and the impeccable service. In short, this is a restaurant that combines tradition and innovation, perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I have road tripped across multiple cities in Italy and this restaurant was truly a highlight we remember fondly. Our first experience was so good, we had to come back a second day during our stay in Certaldo to eat here again. The food was well thought out, fast, and culinarily excellent. Both times we were served by Giovanni, the most remarkable waiter with the right mix of knowledge, humor and hospitality. If the food wasn’t enough reason, he made the whole experience an 11/10. We could not recommend this place enough. Anytime we’re in Tuscany, we WILL make the detour to have another meal here- and so should you. Ps. Please ask for Giovanni and give him our regards, you will not regret it.

Osteria da Chichibio is a charming Italian restaurant located in Certaldo, Italy. The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its elevated terrace providing a perfect spot to enjoy the sun while indulging in a mixed antipasti plate. The menu features flavorful and rustic dishes including appetizers bursting with butter and mortadella, salads with green olives, main courses showcasing the gaminess of wild boar, and seasonal vegetable soups. The restaurant's location near Av.
The lunch at Osteria da Chichibio was amazing, one of the best we had during the entire Tuscany trip. We started with a Gran Tagliere Toscano platter (the onion jam is to die for, so so good) and then we had the Pasta Brunetta and Pici all Aglione. For me, the Brunetta was the best pasta dish I had in 10 days and I had pasta every single day. It was absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend it enough.

Our lunch was so amazing. We tried an appetizer, a salad, two main dishes, and a small parfait for dessert. The flavors were dense and rustic. The appetizer popped with butter and martadella, the salad with the green olives, the main platters with the gaminess of the wild boat and the layers of the seasonal veggies in the soup. The restaurant is near the top of Av. Bocaccio with sight views of the main torre and many other buildings. Great smells, and great sights!

A small ‘enoteca’ in the old town. Loved everything about the place, amazing food, service and the warm vibe of the place. We had a glass of wine and 2 different kinds of pasta, one with Italian sausage, mushrooms and truffle and another with tomato and pepper. We had 2 desserts (sorry the names are too long), refer to the picture. We had the first and second last from the menu, both were supremely good ❤️

Words can not express how amazing the food is here. We stumbled upon this place by coincedence due to another place being full and boy, what a national Italian treasure is this! You taste the soul of the food, the ingrediënts and the love with which it is made. This small restaurant with only one chef delivered food straight out of the heavens. We had the pasta with truffel and the pasta with Boar, after a couple of days we went back and when we realised we would probably never eat here again, we got a bit emotional. Everyone that wants to taste pure, italian food cooked by Alessandro and his team should go here. The wine is good, the food amazing and the people running it very, very lovely. We hope to come back one day ❤️

At the restaurant, we sampled the local pasta with truffles (the first time we had ever tasted these in a meal). The food was tasty, the service was friendly. Inside, despite the high temperatures outside, it was pleasantly cool. In addition to lunch and dinner, you can get local farm products from oils to wines. A very pleasant place.

La Dolce Vita is a charming wine bar and bruschetteria located in a well-restored medieval building in Tuscany. The establishment offers a wide selection of wines, particularly from the region, and serves light snacks that can be paired with specific wines. In the summer, guests can enjoy their drinks and food while taking in the picturesque view of Montepulciano from outdoor tables. Visitors have praised the warm and accommodating owners who are passionate about what they do.
A wonderful little cafe. So glad we stopped here. It was more than just yummy food and a cold drink, it was an experience. All of the good reviews are well deserved. There were vegan options ( bean bruschetta, tomato bruschetta, etc ) vegetarian, and meat options, something delicious to satisfy everyone. As mentioned by other reviewers, the owners warmth and great service really add to the charm of this place. Do not leave without going inside - the shelves are stocked with local foods, wines and random vintage Barbies, old cameras, and more. It is a perfect balance of authentic originality without being forced or touristy. No need to wander around looking for a place to go, this is it. We were there mid-May, and the outdoor seating was very enjoyable. Prices are great.

Very small, intimate place with the friendliest people any yummy food. We ate extremely large sandwiches, which were GREAT, but the information we recieved from the owner was priceless. A MUST if you are in Certaldo Alta. Don't let the size of this place deter you! Fabulous.

My family and I have eaten and visited some memorable places whilst in Tuscany, this little gem is right at the top. The lovely couple running this little establishment are what make the difference, them being very warm, accommodating and evidently love what they do. We tried various drink options including cocktails and a good selection of beers. If your lucky enough to get a seat in the afternoon, it's a superb location to sit and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of this charming old town. The locals will visit for an espresso and a chat which is the final indication of a great little cafe to visit. Sham to leave. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Da Messer Boccaccio is a renowned restaurant located in Certaldo, Tuscany. The town is famous for its sweet purple onions and as the final home of Giovanni Boccaccio. Although it's debated whether he was born there, his father was from Certaldo, and the author was familiar with the town early in life. The restaurant offers 'Chianti Food Experiences' in a beautiful countryside setting.
The best pizzas we have ever eaten on our worldwide travels. Thin and crispy base with great variety of toppings on offer, and all at a very reasonable price. It was slightly difficult to find when we went on a rainy night in October as the entrance is through the courtyard of another establishment - but just look for the no. on the wall outside. The medieval vaulted ceilings gave it a great atmosphere and the waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. Worth seeking out in the old town of Certaldo.

Amazing pastas and atmosphere. We chatted with the owner and chef for a while and he helped us find menu items we loved. What a nice place to stumble across.

Casual, laid back pizzeria. Lots of Italians which we took as a promising sign of good authentic food. We ordered two pizzas and a wild boar stew. The pizzas were thin and crispy. The wild boar stew was so flavorful! Service here is also surprisingly fast and very friendly.

If you have chance to visit this place you have to try t-bone stake! They have good t-bone stake in this area ❤ I would recommend you over 1.8kg to 2kg to try! Other foods are also amazing!!!! This place is my best restaurant in Italy :)

I would recommend Da Messer Boccaccio all over the world. The cuisine is incredible but the staff is out of any league. The best you may deserve, specially Annalisa and Kevyn. They made us fell like home everytime we have back from our journeys.

We decided to have pizza there for lunch as the reviews were quite positive. Unfortunately, we got the impression that the service seemed a bit unmotivated that day. Taste-wise, the pizza we had was sadly the least impressive in Tuscany, although it was the most affordable. Options like pizza with fries or “sausages” had already made us skeptical, but the positive reviews had convinced us anyway. The ambiance is quite pleasant, with seating available in the shade.

Proximity is everything
For day 2, we bundled attractions like Osteria La Saletta and Canonica hill Park and other places within a close range, so that the time it takes to travel between all of them is less than one hour. Combined with the average time people spend there, your day should take about 8 hours.

Tuscan restaurant
Osteria La Saletta is a charming restaurant located in the historic town of Certaldo Alto. The wooden interiors, arches, and ancient beams create a cozy atmosphere for enjoying Italian and Mediterranean cuisines. The menu features local dishes and Tuscan ingredients, offering a blend of tradition and creativity. Guests can savor dishes like tortelli, pecorino di Pienza, pici, gnudi senesi, and lardo di colonnata.
High quality Tuscan cuisine in a true local atmosphere, the interior of the restaurant is traditional and classy but the dishes themselves are outstanding and reflect the regional specialties. I had the parmesan cream pasta which was so flavorful and savory. The wine menu is also fantastic, lots of red varieties.

La Saletta was a great discovery, the meal we enjoyed the most during our stay in Italy. The food was fresh and delicious and the dishes original, the wine was excellent and the service great! Thank you for this good moment 😊

We have eaten wonderfully here! The dishes were absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. We went for lunch but ate antipasti, primi and secondi, so it was a a bit more expensive but so so worth it. I think for the quality of food the prices are really really fair. Love this place and would highly recommend it!

We were planning to order one pasta and one steak, than after hearing todays special, we ordered two pastas. They were extraordinarily delicious, with taste out of the world. This is accompanied with a traditonal interiour. One thing to mention they have hundreds of different wines in the cellar, one can find a good Tuscan wine for every budget. Owner was nice, describing all the details. Very good experience, not easy to find even in Tuscany.

Easily one of the best places ever visited! Been at location on and on for 9 months now and some other places in italy! Owners are really nice, food is excellent, for those liking wine the selection seems ok judged by my coworkers. Well I eat at least 2 times here in my 4 day weeks. Menu changes subtly but not very much. Does not matter when it tastes fantastic every time! Highly recommended! Small place so book in advance!

An absolutely delightful lunch with Jean Pierre - the food was typical Tuscany but nothing typical about the atmosphere and service. Every dish was gorgeous, the wine was a perfect match and the tiramisu was the best ever. Already planning to come back.

Exquisite food (delicious local dishes - rabbit, tripe, deserts), with very friendly and professional service, a pleasant atmosphere, all paired with a rich wine list... This was one of the best restaurants we tried in Tuscany and made our last evening of the vacation in the region a memorable one. 😊

Podere Benintendi is a charming farmhouse villa offering spacious and well-equipped apartments just outside of town. The location provides easy access to Florence, Siena, Certaldo, San Gimignano, and the Chianti region. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area from the beautiful garden and swimming pool. While the WiFi may be a bit slow, the amenities such as a fitness center and excellent breakfast make up for it.
Podere Benintendi is a true gem in the heart of Tuscany. The stunning views of the countryside, and the exceptional breakfast made our stay unforgettable. The property is well-located, beautifully kept landscape and very clean and nice interiors. The medieval town of San Gimignano is just a short drive away. The staff was warm and welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Our dog enjoyed playing with their golden retriever Riva. I highly recommend Podere Benintendi for a relaxing and memorable Tuscan getaway.

There is probably no better place to stay in Tuscany than this lovely place about 40km from Firenze. San Gimignano is about 20min drive away. Also Pisa and Lucca are reachable... But forget about all this: this little paradise will let you recover from all the problems around. Tuscan nature around - great breakfast - gym with all the basics you need - lavatory in case you need to wash - great pool... i cannot mention everything... you should plan to stay more than just a night. Deserves more than 5 stars! 💚🤍❤

Compound is in a great location (on top of a hill) and have a wonderful 360 view of Tuscany. It is located just 5 minutes from the nearest town (Certaldo) that have lots of restaurants and supermarket as well as nice places to visit. The staff are lovely and will take care for all of your needs. The room is well equipped, with stove, fridge, full cooking set, dinner table, cable TV and a large bed. There are common areas for all of the rooms, including swimming pool, gym, professional billiard table and a very rich mini bar. There is also a large garden with ponds which is very romantic for morning walks. Many sitting spots are spread in the area that allow you to relax and enjoy the serenity. Breakfasts are included and dinners are optional (involving extra cost). Everything is homemade and very tasty. We stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended!

This was one of my favorite accommodations in my Tuscany trip because it was so unique! It’s located close to Certaldo a medieval hamlet in the heart of the Val d’Elsa which is incredibly charming and worth spending a few hours in. It is also where the famous Italian writer Boccaccio (author of Decameron) was born. Bocaccio was a great fan of Dante Alighieri, and our room in Podere Benintendi was inspired after Dante! Some of his books were displayed as well as a drawing of his unequivocal face profile on one of the walls and a quote from Dante’s Paradiso on the other. The room has unique pieces of decoration such as an amazing chair-nigh-table-and-lamp piece of furniture. When I woke up here and peeked through the window and couldn’t believe my eyes! Podere Benintendi is located at the top of a hill and in that foggy morning, we were sitting above the clouds. The view was unbelievable and I felt so blessed of having been able to experience it. After documenting that enchanting morning through photos and videos, we went to the lobby for breakfast which was extremely complete with lots of home made delicacies and many options to choose from. We then spent the morning exploring the estate as there is a lake, an aromatic herb garden, and nice quaint corners with sculptures or fun details spread allover. There’s also a pool, a gym, a billiard room and a shop where they sell their self branded wine, limoncello, marmalade and olive oil at very competitive prices.

Casa di Boccaccio, also known as Boccaccio's Home, is a museum located in Certaldo, Italy. This was the birthplace and residence of Giovanni Boccaccio, a renowned Italian writer and poet who authored works like The Decameron and On Famous Women. I randomly went into this after seeing a crowd waiting in line to get inside.. fortunately they had a place for one, but don’t push your luck, better reserve a table if you’re planning to eat here.. I ordered Florentine Steak (1 kg), that I had shared with the couple on the next table! It was a fun experience! The steak was good, but to be honest, not the best I had ever ate.. not even the best in the city.. I want to love it but I’m not sure whether it’s worth a reservation to this restaurant.. anyway the waiter was very friendly and the place was nice.. I’d come again but I’d get something else! This is a must visit place in Florence! Fantastic food, great atmosphere and welcoming staff. We walked there exactly at 7:00pm for their dinner time without knowing that a reservation has to be made. The staff managed to get us a table within a couple of minutes, we were truly thankful. This place was really authentic! We saw so many locals eat here which is definitely a good sign. We got some anchovies, the t-bone steak with some potatoes and salad, and a tiramisu. Everything was pretty good! I think my favorite thing from the whole dinner was the tiramisu. Service was good. The restaurant was pretty busy so everything took longer than expected, but it wasn’t really an issue, because we were just enjoying the atmosphere of the place! There was a line to get a table, but we had a reservation, so they sat us right away. Overall, not bad.

What do you expect is this area? Nothing! But you get surprised with a very good service, tasty pasta, very good gluten free pizza for a good price. And I like these very local restaurants, where you have basic furniture but very good food, where you pay for the food, not for an expensive rent. The persons working there are very familiar. You’re going to want to check this place out! We were recommended A Solatio for having the best olive oil in the area, and it did not disappoint. We sat inside for a wine and olive oil tasting and were treated to an intimate tasting experience. Raffaello was friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed chatting with him. We couldn’t pass on having some of the delicious wine and olive oil shipped back to the states. The truffle honey they make is also not to be missed - it’s divine on pecorino. If we had more time, we would’ve arranged to do the dinner tasting where wines are paired with homemade dishes - the menu looked incredible. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful day. We started with a glass of sparkling wine on the terrace chatting with some other guests looking out over the beautiful views, then we walked through the vines and olive trees back to our table for a 4 course tasting, starting with olive oil and the most delicious balsamic vinegar as well as a beautifully light white wine. We then tasted rose and red wines with more small plates of food all of which were delicious. It really was a perfect day and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Raffaello, his wife and his team really were brilliant hosts and clearly have a passion for their wine and their local food.

This was one of the best experiences we had on our trip! Me and my wife enjoyed a lovely dinner, while chatting with Raffaello and his wife. If you have time, you should definitely try this experience. Try his wines and (very) delicious balsamic vinegar and olive oil! The passion and love for his vineyard is so comforting, almost like going to your own granddad and grandmother! Me and my wife enjoyed this so much and we tried to find something similar, but there is nothing like this!! It's so nice, a must go!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My partner and I had an absolutely lovely afternoon! What started with a delicious vino spumante in the vineyard overlooking the beautiful surroundings, ended with five other wonderful wines from A Solatio’s selection. Alongside, we enjoyed some delightful local bites. The cheese paired with one of the red wines, the bruschetta with pecorino and salami with fennel, and the one with tomatoes fresh from the estate, were especially amazing. We also really appreciated Rafaello’s explanations about the wines—his knowledge and passion were very clear. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and also enjoyed how intimate the setting was.

We stumbled upon this winery because it was near our accommodations. What an unexpected surprise! This experience became one we will always cherish when we think of our time in Tuscany. The setting was beautiful. This is a hidden gem. Would come again absolutely.

Heard from friends that did a wine tasting over here that this was an amazing spot. The food and wine were truly amazing, and the personal touch of Rafaello and his wife made this a memorable experience. Highly recommended! Grazie Mille!

Truly one of a kind experience. We arrived around 15:30 for our tasting and we were warmly welcomed by Rafaello and Donella. We got our welcome drinks, and were directed to the view point to oversee the vineyards. After soaking in the view, we had a place set into the garden under fig trees. We chose the 4sip + 1 glass tasting. We were the only ones there and we were made sure everything was perfect. We ended up staying over 4h (!!!!!) - there were no rush here, we just listened to the voices of leaves and smelled the wines and just soaked in the Tuscan sun. I don’t have enough words to recommend and thank for the hospitality we received. The quality of the wines, olive oil and balsamic was out of this world. You can really feel and taste the love that these people put into their produce. Truly once in a lifetime experience and must visit in Tuscany. This is no place for rush, this is a home where you are welcomed with open arms and warmth of a one of a kind souls.

Pieve di San Lazzaro a Lucardo, an enchanting church nestled in the picturesque Florentine hills, conceals numerous treasures within its walls. Notably impressive is the crypt, holy water font, and baptismal font. Amongst the various frescoes adorning this sacred place, one can admire ser Cenni's Madonna del Latte from the renowned Giotto school. A beautiful church steeped in history, with origins back to the 10th century at the site. Beautiful example of tuscany lombard romanesque architecture with some important frescos inside.

(Translated by Google) Fascinating Romanesque church from the medieval era in the middle of the hills above Certaldo. The altarpiece above the carved stone baptismal font is noteworthy. There are some frescoes of saints and a tender Madonna del latte, all the work of Cenni di Francesco. Inside you can breathe sanctity illuminated by the light of candles. It's a shame for the rectory and the neighboring houses which are in a state of abandonment. However, the parish church is worth a visit, both for the interior and for the surrounding panorama. Nestled at the end of Via Rivellini, Santi Tommaso e Prospero is a charming church that dates back to the 1300s and served as the main religious hub for Castello di Certaldo. (Translated by Google) It is the oldest church in Certaldo Alto. Suffragan since the 13th century of the parish church of San Lazzaro a Lucardo. The oldest evidence of this church can be found walled in the building itself and are two inscriptions bearing the dates 1215 and 1366. In 1415, after the Palazzo Pretorio had been built, it became the oratory. In the same 15th century the patronage belonged to the Gianfigliazzi family. In 1575, on the occasion of an apostolic visit the church was found in precarious static conditions: Quoad fabrica Ecclesiae minatur ruinam versus altare maius, unde indiget festina reparatione. In 1589 it appears that the tomb of Giovanni Boccaccio had already been placed in the church and in 1654, other tombs were placed inside the church. Since the 16th century the land behind the building began to slide downhill, also causing the subsequent collapse of the apse. In the 18th century the village built on the plain below had grown in population and in 1757 the title of San Tommaso was transferred to the church of Sant'Andrea in Certaldo; on 19 April 1788 the church was suppressed, deconsecrated and later abandoned before being rented to an earthenware merchant. In 1898 the church was used as a fagot warehouse but in 1903 it was purchased by the municipality of Certaldo which in turn handed it over to the parish priest. In 1938 the parsonage was converted into a restaurant. In 1946 the church was finally restored and in 1962 the fourteenth-fifteenth century frescoes were consolidated. Today the church is used as an exhibition venue and as a conference room.

Chiesa dei Santi Jacopo e Filippo in Certaldo Alto is a charming church located in the town center where both Boccaccio and Santa Giulia were laid to rest. The church features a discreet and lovely interior, with a rear part behind the altar that houses the garden and cell of Santa Giulia. Visitors can also admire the Della Robbia Madonna of the Snow and a fresco by Memmo di Filippello, adding emotional depth to this sacred place.

(Translated by Google) The church, with a single nave, is entirely made of bricks, except for the base part made of sandstone blocks. Currently the main access is from Piazza SS. Jacopo and Filippo, but both the door and the staircase date back to a later period: the door was opened in 1633 when the small convent cemetery was dismantled and the open space on the street became the small square that we still see today. We have already said that Certaldo, unlike other medieval centers, did not have squares, but only the wide Via Boccaccio where all the activities of city life took place. The Church was entered, however, through the two doors that open onto the street; the smallest is called women's. Both have beautiful round brick arches, above which run the single-lancet windows with original cord decorations, also in brick. After the purist restoration of the 1960s, the interior appears as a vast, large and solemn hall without side altars, the wall facing is characterized by a compact terracotta curtain interrupted here and there by the single-lancet windows that lead into the interior of the Church a shy light. The ceiling is supported by a series of enormous wooden trusses. On the left wall, in a niche discovered in 1861, a fresco recently attributed to Memmo di Filippuccio, a thirteenth-century painter who painted profane frescoes in the civic tower in San Gimignano, depicts the Madonna and Child enthroned between Saints Jacopo and Peter . The presence of the figure of the client kneeling and smaller than the size of the Madonna and the Saints is interesting. This hierarchical division is typical of medieval painting up to Masaccio who revolutionized religious iconography by humanizing the dimensions of the divinities. The figure, which represents a noblewoman, had been chiseled and repainted in an unspecified period in the rich robe replaced by a monastic habit. A snake was inserted into the hands joined in prayer to make her become Saint Verdiana. During the restoration, it was preferred to bring the painting back to its original state and every trace of Verdiana disappeared. Continuing towards the altar we encounter Boccaccio's cenotaph, with an epitaph by Coluccio Salutati which reports the four verses dictated by Boccaccio himself for his tomb and, above it, a bust of Boccaccio holding the Decameron, sculpted by Giovan Francesco Rustics (1503). On the floor is a marble tombstone depicting Giovanni Boccaccio. The bust, sculpted by the vicar Lattanzio Tedaldi, appears with a strong psychological characterization: the poet holds the large volume, the fruit of his ingenuity, close to himself in a loving embrace. In front of the cenotaph, in the center of the hall, the poet's tombstone appears but the exact location of the tomb, the object of loving studies by the first curator of the poet's house, Giuseppe Fontanelli, is marked by a marble tile on the above the plate itself. After passing the presbytery step we can admire, on the sides of the altar, two beautiful Robbiani tabernacles. The one on the left is from 1499-1500 commissioned by the Vicar Ludovico Pucci and is rich in very fine decorations: on the sides of the door four angels in the act of entering a room and on the pediment Baby Jesus among winged cherubs, finally, at the bottom, the coat of arms of the Pucci family. The tabernacle on the right has a similar decoration, but is not dated: the little angels here move aside a curtain that comes down to the sides of the small door; at the top the grieving Redeemer. It was commissioned by the Vicario Ristoro of Antonio Serristori whose arms can be admired below. On the right wall we can see the tomb of the Blessed Giulia and a glazed terracotta altarpiece from the Della Robbia workshop, coming from San Martino a Maiano from the company of S. Antonio, it depicts the Madonna della Neve with S. Antonio and S. Bernardo. The ruined chapel of the Blessed Giulia included a predella with stories from the life of the Saint by Pier Francesco Fiorentino, now in the Museum of Sacred Art. The baptismal font is noteworthy (Original) La chiesa, a navata unica, è interamente a mattoni, tranne la parte basamentale in blocchi di arenaria.

(Translated by Google) The Madonna della Neve by Della Robbia and the fresco by Memmo di Filippello, with its moving portrait of the girl presented by the Saint to the Virgin, the relics and stories of Blessed Giulia, imbue a context stripped of color and sacredness by the twentieth-century restoration with emotional tension. But before these powerful images and the Petrognano Crucifix, all reflection gives way to pure passion. Osteria Del Vicario is a charming guest-house and restaurant located within a 13th-century monastery, offering a dreamy setting overlooking the picturesque Tuscan hills and the towers of San Gimignano. The intimate interiors, lush green surroundings, garden, and panoramic terrace make it an ideal venue for special occasions like weddings. Guests can enjoy the best local delicacies and creative cuisine while taking in the breathtaking views.
We were lured by the jazz music and the promise of home made lemonade and were welcomed to sit at the terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills. The view is precious and a delightful atmosphere with this place a little off the main strip which has a feel of exclusivity and luxury. The menu is crafted consciously for small bites and very refreshing drinks (I was seduced by the Limoncello spritzer 🍹 which didn’t disappoint!). All in all top rating and well worth making a reservation for, even for the inside tables in colder seasons. (we didn’t stay at the hotel)

We booked in advance as we were in Certaldo on a Monday and we were the only people in the restaurant. The service from the co-owner was impeccable - he even gave me a stool for my purse! The food was incredible and each course was a delight. Vegan fine dining in the middle of Tuscany in a medieval fortified village! Only this restaurant (and b&b) and Il Castello in Certaldo Alto have panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside and the setting is stunning. One of the best evening meals I've ever had because of the food, the excellent wine and cocktail (and finally a non-alcoholic beer!) the views, the atmosphere (soft bossa nova playing and excerpts of an orchestra rehearsing in the church nearby). If I were to return to Certaldo, I'd eat here again in a heartbeat.

We had our dream vegan wedding feast at Osteria del Vicario. Erik and Eleonora were exceptional hosts and made our day so special and stress free. The food was full of flavour, colour and using fresh seasonal ingredients - we couldn't have asked for a tastier example of vegan cuisine! The views from the terrace are breathtaking, and the Tuscan countryside was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The whole evening felt like a dream!

I can absolutely recommend the dinner experience, even if you’re not an overnight guest. Very exclusive, mind-blowing taste combined with a spectacular view of Tuscany! We had the surprise menu and my vegan and non-vegan friends were equally impressed by the flavours. Hats off to the chef, who was absolutely lovely and so was the host.

This is the place how I ever imagined Toscany. The view is breathtaking, the buildings are so authentic, the hosts are so kind and true hospitable couple. The kitchen was amazing, so resourceful, delicious vegetarian dishes were served, so if you stay in Certaldo, I definetly recommend reservation here.

We had dinner here while we were staying in Certaldo Alto. A fully vegan and delicious, creative menu. The most beautiful setting, and they only seat 8 people a night, so it felt really special and we were brilliantly looked after. It was a really memorable and special meal. Not cheap, but worth it for a real treat!
Prano B — Google review
We stopped for a drink before lunch, in order to spend some time in their beautiful terrace with outstanding view. The restaurant now offers a vegan menu, but only at dinner in the hot season, at lunchtime they only offer a "picnic basket" to go with a drink. It was very pleasant, the place is really charming and service friendly and efficient. We will go back if we have the chance.

The mocktail was all right. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing as well as the food basket which was incredibly overpriced! 15€ for a supermarket-baguette, a scoop of hummus, some olives and a little bit of “pappa al pomodoro” is way too much! Very sad, because the view is astonishing.

I wanted to experience a glass of wine at RISTORANTE bar caffetteria Boccaccio, but it ended up with me getting completely drunk. Despite that, I enjoyed their cheese, prosciutto, salami, and speck. The staff treated me well and even sold me more bottles to continue drinking on-site after closing time. I was so impressed that I went back two nights in a row.
We organized a spectacular banquet for 51 people, with a picturesque table set in the charming village of Certaldo. The service was impeccable, and the food was exceptional. We had an amazing experience, and everything went perfectly. A special thanks to Mrs. Rossella and Roberta for their tremendous help in organizing everything from abroad with great professionalism.

Magical and Delicious! Loved this restaurant, it will always have a place in our heart! The food was DELICIOUS! I've never had better gnocchi or pizza however, everything we ate was AMAZING! ♥ We were in Certaldo for 3 nights and ate lunch and dinner at Boccaccio Cafe every day! The atmosphere was magical and the staff super friendly and attentive - they made us feel like family ♥ Thank you so much for all the great food and wine and more importantly your kindness and making us feel at home! We visited the place twice - once during lunch and then made a reservation for the next steak night. The first visit was great, but bistecca alla fiorentina, atmosphere of the street, perfect service, outside charcoal grill and wine during the night was purely amazing. The most tender aged meat I’ve ever tried. I 100% recommend visiting this place, especially the bistecca night on Wednesday… totally worth it. And actually the price is very fair for the quality, service and atmosphere you get. When we are back in Certaldo, we will visit again for sure. Thank you very very very much to waiters, chefs and butchers for such an amazing experience! And special thanks to Iacoppo who let us know about the steak Wednesday 😍

I arrived quite late looking for something to eat with my little one. We were well looked after by the lovely waiter Jacopo. He was so kind to both myself and my baby girl, he kept her entertained, made her laugh and brought her out a little spoon of gelato while we were waiting for our food(which she loved, we also said hello to the owner of the icecream). My only regret is that I can’t try more from the menu as we are leaving tomorrow. I would 100% recommend Bar Boccaccio, for the food, the atmosphere and the service was top. Thank you to the chef, the waiters and everyone. We had such a lovely time ✨

I recently dined at Ristorante La Capannina sul Lago Certaldo and had an extraordinary culinary experience. As a first-time visitor to the area, I made a great decision by choosing this restaurant. The food was exceptional, including delicious pastas, mushrooms, and beef tartare infused with truffles. The owner, Antonio, was incredibly welcoming and kind. We engaged in enjoyable conversation and he even treated us to complimentary drinks and souvenirs to take home.
We came here after doing a tour of a venue. They told us about this place. Everything we ate was delicious! My husband found his wild boar here he was so happy. The service was amazing, too! I'm thinking of using their services for a party. Awesome hidden gem.

Great location beside a nice sport fishing lake. Lots of space to relax and is great for kids due to a terrific play area secured away from the lake. The owner is very passionate about local and organic produce and this comes through in some wonderful local dishes and wine selection. We had a great meal with good service. Waiter was entertaining. One mistake is that they forgot to make one dish and it came 10 minutes later. Amazing views and terrace.
Cedric H — Google review
The restaurant is beautifully located and offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area. The food is very good, although we have the impression that there was a different chef last year, and back then the cuisine was truly exceptional. The service is present, but barely — just one waiter, who was also here last year and handles the wine service excellently, really holds things together. The rest of the staff seem to be just wandering around. This year, there was also a slip-up with the reservations — the person who took ours failed to mention that a festival was taking place in Certaldo Alto, and that entering the town required a €15 ticket. When we called the restaurant to clarify, they suggested we cancel the reservation… Well, there’s certainly no shortage of tourists in Italy ;)

visited this restaurant two years ago and I still think about the pasta I had here, that’s how unforgettable it was. I don’t remember the exact name of the dish (I’ll attach a photo), but it was so simple. just pasta with tomato sauce. and yet it was the best pasta I’ve ever eaten, even in all of Italy. Truly unforgettable. The service was excellent, the restaurant itself was beautiful, and the entire experience left such a strong impression on me that I’ll always remember it. I’ve noticed some of the negative reviews, and honestly, I don’t quite understand them. In Italy (especially in the summer) it’s common knowledge that you should book a reservation, or expect to wait.i booked my reso for the place a month in advance because i read it’s what you should do when travelling in Italy in the summer. That’s not the restaurant’s fault, that’s just how it works here. People can be very picky, but from my perspective this place delivered the best pasta I’ve ever had, with amazing service in a gorgeous setting. I’ll always recommend this restaurant..it’s one of the best dining experiences of my life.

However, the overall dining experience may not always meet expectations. Patrons have reported lengthy waiting times, questioning why some customers who arrived later received their orders promptly while witnessing pizzas being swiftly prepared in the kitchen but none reaching their tables. To exacerbate matters, one customer discovered that their order was missing a crucial ingredient, namely salami on a pizza.
If you’re craving authentic, delicious pizza, look no further than this pizzeria . From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the comforting aroma of freshly baked dough and melted cheese. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from classic Margherita to creative specialty pizzas that cater to all tastes. I tried the pepperoni pizza, and it was perfection—the crust was thin and slightly charred, while the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was flawless. It’s a gem that never disappoints. 5/5 stars!

Best pizza we had in Italy! The La Rock pizza was an insane taste combination and something different than your classic pizza, while still being a true Italian pizza

Cavour is a lifesaver! Our hotel’s up the hill (a beautiful property called Podere Benintendi) but Cavour was able to deliver! That, plus the Capricciosa pizza, La Cavour focacce, and Caesar salad were all amazing. Generous toppings, fillings, and size! Thank you! Satisfied customers here 🙏🏽

This place makes amazing pizzas, great combinations and super nice dough. But my overall experience eating in wasn’t as good. I had to wait for my pizza 45 minutes. Why? People coming after me got their orders in a couple of minutes, I saw pizzas flying from the oven but none for my table. And when I got my order the main ingredient from Salami pizza was missing. When I told the staff, they added the salami on top. Mistakes can happen, but as super hungry customer at that point I was really disappointed. I came to Italy to be shown the proper pizza, not to tell them how to make my pizza.

Great pizza. I recommend “La Pop”. Service was also very friendly
Ana ( — Google review
We enjoyed the pizza a lot. They had even a special once with bacon and potatos ( personally for me to heavy but my friends like it). The waitress was very helpful and informing right at the beginning that it could take 30min to make the pizza because of a lot of orders. I recommend this place - very good quality for reasonable price.

Pizza restaurant
Osteria Pizzeria Borgobasso offers an outstanding selection of pizzas with unique and unconventional combinations. Their Coloratta pizza, in particular, comes highly recommended. The variety of options is extensive, including pizzas with zucchini instead of the typical tomato base and even pistachio cream as a base. For those with a sweet tooth, there are delightful choices like Nutella pizza available. The restaurant also serves a delectable crema Catalana for dessert at affordable prices.
very tasty food, quick service, excellent pizza, affordable prices

The best risotto I've ever eaten. Risotto cacio e pepe with salmon. Fenominal pizza (nduja, strac, onion). Friendly staff. Amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Maja R — Google review
Excellent pizzas (I had Coloratta, would recommend). The choice of pizzas is very wide, with some very unusual combinations. Mine, for instance, had zucchini basis, instead of usual tomato. Some other had pistacchio creme as basis. Also, sweet pizzas available (with Nutella for example)! Delicious crema Catalana as a dessert. Affordable prices. If you would like to sit outside, better make reservation. If in Certaldo, I would definitely visit.

Da Carlo is a newly opened, uncomplicated, and well-maintained establishment. Customers can enjoy a delectable fish tasting menu by making reservations in advance. The dishes are skillfully prepared and notably delicious, showcasing the excellent quality of the seafood. The staff provides clear explanations of each course, demonstrating their knowledge and expertise. Both the cuisine and service deserve commendation for their outstanding performance. With its impressive food and attentive staff, this restaurant is highly recommended to both locals and tourists alike.
Great service! Very friendly family run restaurant with fresh quality food, very reasonably priced considering the food quality. We had the “tagliere affetati misti” starter to share with the salami so soft and tender which was melting in my mouth, together with the “tagliata di manzo” with Parmesan and rocket. I was so amazed by the quality of the meat which was amazingly tasty and soft. We finished with the pistachio desert to top it all off which was sensational. It was also a very nice experience meeting the owner who’s a brilliant individual who made us feel very welcome. And don’t get me started on the selection of wines as their own house wine “Ristorante da Carlo” was another five star experience on its own. 10 out of 10 for quality, service and price, strongly recommended.

Overall - not bad. Pizza was very nice, but I have ordered for main dish - fish ( to specify-cod), it was a bit tasteless, potato crust - harder to eat, wouldn’t recommend. Apperoli spritz cocktail- 5/10.

Day 5

Off the beaten path
For day 5, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Sotto il Cavolo Tutto per l'Infanzia. Not quite as popular as Palazzo Pretorio, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 4 hours.

(Translated by Google) I ordered the isofix attachment for the seat and an entire bedroom: cot, changing table, mattress, bumper with duvets. Beyond the excellent quality and beautiful finishing of the pieces which depend on the brands purchased, I must say that the shop was excellent! It respected the expected delivery times, the prices are low compared to many other sites and points of sale, it has a large catalogue. Absolutely recommended shop! Negozio assolutamente consigliato!

(Translated by Google) I purchased a Pucci Camping Montessori cot online complete with sides and various accessories. In addition to the timeliness and kindness in answering every question before making the purchase, the staff also managed to put together a second order of the matching duvet by making a single, fast, safe, insured and traceable shipment. When the package arrived, I noticed a construction defect in the side kit (obviously not attributable to the shop) and when I reported it to "sottoilcavolo", after sending photos and videos of what I found, they took care of it send me the defective item without any charge and as quickly as possible. I can't help but recommend the shop. It is safe, reliable with staff present and available. Thank you! Grazie!

Kind and helpful even after some time, I had a problem with a baby food cooker and they immediately worked to help me. They also have a wide assortment of bed and bathroom linens. They now have a much larger store with a large display of everything. I was very satisfied and will definitely come back to them for anything I need.

(Translated by Google) Under the cabbage... there is cheating! And what a disappointment for a future new mother… It is with enormous regret that I strongly advise against relying on this shop for your online purchases! No protection is guaranteed as it should be for those who purchase from any e-commerce. These esteemed gentlemen refused to refund the returned goods as they reported having received them damaged despite having accepted the delivery from the courier without any reservations, thus also denying me the possibility of possibly being reimbursed by the courier, given that the shipment was insured! If the package had really been delivered damaged, they certainly would not have accepted the delivery without reservations nor would they have opened the package! Clearly the matter will proceed elsewhere, considering the clear desire of the esteemed sellers to make us buyers pay for THEIR exclusive negligence! They are so correct that they categorically refused to provide us with a PEC address, responding to our request verbatim that they "wouldn't have given us anything", very professional... Furthermore, considering that the purchase took place online and the protections provided for in the specific area of e-commerce were not guaranteed, we will also report it to the consumer protection association! All this not so much for the refund itself but rather to prevent other possible buyers in good faith from suffering the same injustices as these crafty traders!

Pizzeria Diana is a delightful gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by friendly staff who promptly take orders and serve refreshing drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the opportunity for curious kids to watch the pizza-making process up close while learning about it in both Italian and English. The Tuscan-style pizzas stand out with their thin, crispy crusts, offering a unique twist compared to traditional Neapolitan varieties.
Incredibly friendly staff, large portion sizes and very tasty. Our pizzas, calzone and the house special dessert fruit pizza were all fantastic. The wait staff, despite being very busy, were all very pleasant. We even got to watch the chef make her specialties both from our table and up close! We might even return again tomorrow as many places during the holidays were closed.

We were met by a smiling young lady, who took our orders, and came with our drinks right away. When our kids were interested in how they made the pizzas, they were invited to come and watch, while they explained the best they could in Italian and english. The male chef who were making my wifes pasta in the back, came with a small glas of wine on the house while we talked. The pizzas were great tuscan pizzas (a more flat and crusty version than the napoletanean) and my wifes pasta pomodore tasted great. A big recommendation for this little lokal place with only other italian guests.

Pizza is good. Waitress was apologetic but no solution, I can not understand why if I call and book a table for 8pm, why when I arrive it is acceptable to be told I will have to wait 2.5 hours for a pizza. Absolutely ridiculous, why book? All explanations were stupid, everyone arrived at the same time blar blar reservation times are for a reason. It’s not the first time means this is the norm. Such a shame because the pizza is great.! In the end we left….
