Shopping mall
Aberdeen Mall in Kamloops is a low-key shopping destination that offers a diverse range of stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities. The mall's layout is convenient and easy to navigate, with ample parking available. It features familiar chain stores, a food court, and a movie theater. Customers consistently praise the mall's cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-maintained facilities. With its pleasant atmosphere and bright lighting throughout the two floors, Aberdeen Mall provides a comfortable shopping experience for visitors.
Definitely the best mall in kamloops. It's a two-level mall with all the big and small stores as well as a large food court. Tons of parking and lots of exterior access to individual stores as well so you don't have to go inside if you don't want to. It's not new but it's clean and well-maintained.
Architype — Google review
Great mall, has a lot of really good stores. Bathrooms are nice and clean, large area to change any littles. Parking was easy to find, easy to get to from the highway and even when the carnival set up there was plenty of space
Rebecca C — Google review
This is a multi branded mall. Lot's of shopping brands to patronize. The mall has several entrances and car parks. There is a very lovely food court within the mall. BC transit busses also pass through the mall, making commute to the mall easier. Cineplex cinema is located in the mall as well. This mall has one of the cleanest public rest room around town. Free parking is available in the mall.
Tolu B — Google review
Decent mall. Mostly just clothes and Jewellry stores, but that's almost any mall. 2 floors, handicap accessible, and a movie theater right next to it.
A.J. D — Google review
Ample parking, a pretty good food court, and Fresh Street Market had some good fresh produce as well as standard groceries.
Brian B — Google review
I love there Mall even small the food court is nice and clean and there’s food choice also if you like fresh or soup fresh market to the rescue they had also fresh cook pasta fresh made salad cut fruits ,soup and sushi 🥗
Gilrose L — Google review
Seems stores are dwindling but what remains offers a good variety and the service is usually pretty good all around. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare, not sure why because it doesn't seem that busy.
Lee L — Google review
First off, Aberdeen Mall has a huge parking lot, so finding a spot is never an issue. I really like this place because it has a great selection of stores, including a big Hudson’s Bay, Sport Chek, and Old Navy. The mall has two floors, which makes it feel spacious, though it’s not as massive as Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby. But for Kamloops, it’s a perfect fit. The environment is welcoming, and the overall vibe is really nice.

Fun & Games
Cascades Casino Kamloops is one of the two casinos in Kamloops where you can have a great time and try your luck. The casino offers live music, dining options, and a variety of games to choose from. Visitors can enjoy poker games like Texas no limit hold-em with professional and friendly staff. The Match Eatery provides a sports-themed pub experience with delicious food and desserts. The casino floor offers a clean environment with numerous slots and games to explore.
Great service at Match in Kamloops by Ashlee R. She went above and beyond and was very attentive to us. Great food. Floor Manager was also very nice, didn't get her name.
Lynda F — Google review
So disappointing. Was in town for a wedding, decided to end the night at the casino. A couple groups of us went, the second group arrived at 120am. Approached the bar & was told last call was done at 130am. Started ordering for the group, got bounced to a different bartender bc one wanted to cash out, pass on the order and then was told sorry, cant serve you anymore its 130am. It was implied that they wanted to avoid more work for themselves. Tried a couple slot machines after and both smelled like spoiled food. Bizarre experience. Kamloops is cool though.

Very nice customer service and the setting was clean, the choices of restaurants within the casino.
Reilz C — Google review
While playing poker, the dealer made a mistake and gave the turn to one of the guys he knew from before. That player took advantage of being the last to act and raised, even though he should have been the first to check or raise. We noticed the mistake, and the dealer admitted it was his fault, but no one did anything about it. The dealer was also shuffling the cards by hand, which is unusual since other casinos use machines for that. This is the worst casino I’ve ever been to.

Nature & Parks
Park
Kenna Cartwright Nature Park is a vast, year-round park with picturesque trails suitable for hiking, cycling, and snowshoeing. It boasts over 40 kilometers of gentle paths and is the largest municipal park in the province. The park offers a variety of trails, from easy to challenging, including wheelchair-accessible options. One of its highlights is the Tower Trail, a family-friendly 3.4-kilometer hike with stunning city views from a viewing platform at the top.
Trail is well maintain! Our dog love it. We walked in black diamond trail and its doable if you walked alot before. Nice view in the top! Free parking, toilet pit in the area, there is a bike repair station near in the parking lot. There is a lot of trail in the area too.
Adette B — Google review
There are quite a few trails here. Most are steep so be ready to go up. The view from the top was great and I felt a good sense of accomplishment when I made it up. We took the main viewpoint trail. It took about 1 hour to go up, hang out a bit at the top, then go down. I would not take my kids. They would have complained a lot. It is all up! There was parking, it was easy to find, there was a bathroom and garbage can at the base of the trail and this was a good trail to try if you are looking for a good little hike and aren’t from town - it was easy to find and it is well marked, you won’t get lost.
Lyndsay A — Google review
A great walk with stunning views. You can choose your difficulty level. Watch out for trail bikes coming down. Easiest way was to park off hillside. Beautiful views.
Kimberly C — Google review
Lovely short and quiet hike. Trail was well kept. You get beautiful views of the town & the surrounding mountains. If you have time to spare, definitely come explore this place. Tower trail goes straight up btw.
Raheel K — Google review
Some very challenging hiking trails. Make sure you bring loads of water and a wide brimmed hat, because shade can be scarce. Some parts of the trail were quiet, mostly you could hear the highways.
Cam M — Google review
Kenna Cartwright Nature Park is a gem for anyone into hiking, biking, or just soaking up views. The trail network is huge, with options for all skill levels, and the scenery — especially at sunset — is unreal. You get panoramic views of Kamloops, the rivers, and even Kamloops Lake from some spots. It’s dog-friendly too, which is a bonus. Downsides? Some trails are poorly marked, so it’s easy to get turned around if you’re new. Also, parts of the park are pretty exposed, so bring water and sun protection. Still, it’s one of the best places in Kamloops to get outside and feel like you’re miles away from the city.
Riya S — Google review
This is the place to hike if you want an all-encompassing view of Kamloops from above. The trail doubles as a service road to the cellular towers on top of the mountain. Thus it is wide, smooth, and impossible to veer off course. The trail is very short but the gradient is steep all the way up the mountain. It's a hike that promises great rewards for little time and effort. Highly recommended.
Kevin L — Google review
Lots of trails to choose from, beautiful views. Glad I decided to try it out!

Sahali Mall is a recent addition to the grocery shopping scene, offering a wide range of food products. Unlike other stores, it doesn't have any self-service checkout counters. Moreover, customers have lauded the fact that their bills are comparatively lower than those at Walmart.
The Santa visit was an amazing experience. My grandkids were nervous but the atmosphere was so great. Everyone was as kind and friendly. And…. The Santa was the best!! He even gave the grandgirls stuffy gifts. Thank you so much.

Since Safeway changed to FreshCo. It has been much cheaper and some other stores have moved in like a new pizza place was very good. Planet Fitness which made me change gyms. As the price they offered was too competitive to deny. Also, a new bus service has opened up on the back side of the mall. The ever-popular Fox and Hounds pub and liquor store is as busy as ever. I like going in on Wednesday nights for the general knowledge trivia game. They have several different event nights like karaoke etc other nights of the week. As well as a list of other pubs that offer similar games throughout the week. The mall has improved in the last few years.

Used to love this mall. Grabbed my first peach in this mall. Now if I do it everyone loses their mind. It's a little run-down but it's a great location.
Architype — Google review
Mall has a FreshCo the main attraction. A Noble cause place Value Village a essential one. There should be public washroom & seating arrangement outside of the mall for seniors / who wait outside for any reason. Cafe Burger, Subway, M&M, Gym. adds fun to youngster. It's location is centrally compare to other stores so I like it in all

Shopping
I am trying to come up with a complimentary statement, but the recent modifications at Northills Shopping Centre have left me questioning their future direction. It seems that they are no longer catering to the needs of regular visitors. Unfortunately, Ardennes, which used to be a major attraction, has been closed down. Furthermore, there were no accessible restrooms and all seating in the cafeteria area has been removed, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.
Northills Shopping Centre on the North Shore of Kamloops is a very handy and convenient spot. The location is great, close to the North Shore exchange, and the large Independent Grocer is a highlight for me. It’s very similar to Superstore and has a massive parking lot, which makes shopping easy. This mall isn’t crowded or fancy, and you won’t find high-end brands here, but it’s perfect for practical shopping. You can do your groceries at Independent or pick up other essentials. There’s also a TD Bank and a decent Best Buy, plus a Canada Post office nearby. Overall, it’s a convenient place for everyday needs.
Seyed R — Google review
Malls these days are becoming less of a place to go with the amount of stores closing. This mall shows. Hopefully the bathroom construction will eventually be done. The bathroom is so ghetto. They are like 7 stalls and they all say out of order except for one with a huge crack people can see you. Definitely stay clear.

Ty Deb, for all the help in buying house plant soil, She walked me to the product, price checked, put it a plastic bag i case it came open. She also helped with the fertilizer for my plants. Hands up to Deb in the flower department! 👏👏👏

Good shopping options here. Lots of parking and multiple options for entry to the property. Groceries. Dollar store. SDM. Marks. A good selection of stores on the outside of the mall. Including our favourite - Animal House! The inside of the mall has a few vacancies... but there is the Source and a couple other options inside. 👍
MISTER L — Google review
Not a ton lot of options here. But I do like the dollar store, shoppers and Marks in this mall. They used to have a starbucks which they removed. But nothing other than that takes me to this shopping centre
Subin M — Google review
Almost nothing to do there besides grocery shopping and eat food outside the mall. They took away most clothes shopping and now its just better to go to Aberdeen mall for most shopping needs. Annoying!
A — Google review
It's a nice medium sized mall, The food court doesn't exist anymore. (But theres many options if eating that are walking distance away)
Summer C — Google review
Treasures makes this place worth visiting all by it's self just saying lol Just a slight lower rating because, occasionally, security can be course in their treatment of people and tend to shoot away those not esthetically pleasing.

The Match Eatery & Public House offers excellent cuisine at affordable prices, with exceptional service from the friendly and cheerful server Billie G. The New York strip steak was cooked to perfection, and the ahi tuna in the Cajun seafood spaghettini delighted the wife. This restaurant fulfills all expectations and even provides a casino nearby for post-dinner entertainment. During vacation, visitors can enjoy a great selection of meals from their impressive seasonal BBQ menu.
BBQ was amazing!!! Great food, fast, friendly and attentive service. Cass is a wonderful server with a sense of humor and wonderful menu knowledge. The manager Kyle is an inviting and friendly manager who's staff seem to really like and respect. They took wonderful care of me on my trip from Vancouver! Definitely try the ribs and chicken!

Went in for some lunch. Got the calamari and hot wings and a drink each. Bill came to a couple cents shy of 70$ before tip. First of all the portions were rather small. The calamari tasted like salted batter and wasn’t very good at all. The hot wings were nothing special. I’m assuming Frank’s hot sauce, small medium sized wings. There were nine total. 2/10 for the food. Server was nice enough. Drinks were alright. Don’t see myself ever going back for food. Spend the same at earls and get a significantly better meal. Even if the bill was 50$ I would have felt like I overspent.

We had a group of four. We were seated by a friendly hostess Isabella. Our server Julian was soon there to take our drink orders. Drinks arrived quickly and our appy orders were put in. The appys were good. Julian took our meal orders and was quick to answer questions and make recommendations when asked. Dinner arrived and was really good. An issue with a steak was dealt with no question. If it were not for the steak they would have received a 5. Julian is an amazing server and if he is working I would recommend you ask for his section.
Dave C — Google review
I’m not one to complain but this was an absolute insane experience. First - my Cesar was disgusted and the worst Cesar I have ever had. Second - it took over 45 minutes to get my second drink. Third - my food came out 1 hr later and my steak was over cooked and terribly thin and to top it off my husbands food came out 20 minutes later because there was a mix up in the kitchen. I had completely fished eating by the time he got his food. Fourth - bills came out and they put a rack a of ribs on our bill that wasn’t ours, when trying to correct they told us they had put it on our friends bill (who already paid and it was her birthday). We just paid it since we didn’t want her paying it. Then since we were a group of 10 they automatically added 18% gratitude (on a $200 bill for 4 of us) which i get it is a regular policy for restaurant but they didn’t try to rectify any of the issues above. We asked speak to the manager, he just brushed us off and gave the only person left to pay a $15 discount. I understand mistakes happen but it’s how mistakes are handled that makes up for it. This was completely unprofessional.

Kaitlin was awesome with us. She provided A+ service with a smile! A never say no attitude. I wish all servers are as bright and highly attentive as Kaitlin is. Thanks for the great evening!

A good pasta Alfredo should be a delicious combination of rich, creamy, and flavorful sauce clinging to perfectly cooked pasta. The tuna pieces in their poke bowl are huge! The bowl tastes ok, however i think if they modified some of the ingredients and served it in a bowl, the overall quality would be better. The bar atmosphere is nice. Good service. The french onion soup is super cheesy 😋. Also, the tuna appetizer is delicious.

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Kamloops, Bold Pizzeria is a laid-back and family-friendly eatery that prides itself on serving up delectable thin-crust pizzas in a casual industrial setting. The restaurant's commitment to using premium ingredients and providing top-notch service creates a welcoming community atmosphere. What sets Bold Pizzeria apart is its innovative approach to pizza toppings, offering adventurous combinations that push the boundaries of traditional flavors.
Bold italian eatery won my heart this weekend! After what could be chalked up to as a "memorable adventure," my friend and I found ourselves panicking for a hotel and a bite to eat. Food is always a pick me up for us and a sure-fire way to turn our frowns upside down, so there was some real importance to picking the right place in this scenario, lol. After a solid 45 minutes of reading thru reviews, we settled on giving Bold a go - we were NOT disappointed. It was quite busy, which was expected based on how hard it was to find a hotel, but they got us seated at the bar right away, and we're offered bits and bites as a bar snack. We opted to order dinner at the bar as opposed to waiting for a table - so we got started with some well-deserved Ceasers. The bartender was ON IT. He was so friendly, funny and on the ball. The pickled carrot was, without a doubt, one of the best pickled anything I've had in my life. (I'm pregnant, so I know a good pickle when I try one. 🫡) The ceasers themselves were also delicious. Solid 10/10. (I had a virgin ceaser, and my gf tried both the vodka ceaser and the gin ceaser) she did mention that the vodka was undetectable, whereas the gin one, you could taste the gin. *not a complaint in any way* To eat! I opted to give the stuffed pepperoncini a try and a half ceaser salad - the half ceaser was $10 and bigger than any other full sized ceaser I've gotten. Definitely tasted like a homemade dressing and adored the idea of a crushed type crouton cause everyone knows that's the hardest part to eat anyway. The stuffed pepperoncini were also top tier and unlike any other "popper" I've tried. The balsamic reduction really pulled it all together! For $12, I received 5 of them and would definitely order these again! The prosciutto was crispy but somehow not dry 🧐, and the cream cheese definitely toned down the "spice." My gf gave the carbonara Tessa a try and was utterly impressed with both flavor and creamy-ness! She said that the poached egg really added to the silkyness of the sauce! They were generous with the amount of crispy pancetta within the pasta and the packed a lot of flavor - more garlick-y then herby! It was definitely very rich, so she was unable to finish the whole portion - but the leftovers made for a great midnight snack back at the hotel 🤤 and, for $25, was a solid choice. The overall ambience and decor of the resteraunt was lovely - the floral wall papers, the gold frames, the flowers hanging from suspended pallets in the ceiling, the most amazing crystal like chandelier hung by the bar - the open style pizza kitchen - it was a very enjoyable setting. The patio was closed due to the rain, but that also looked quite cozy. The staff was also great - especially our bartender/server. He didn't stop moving the whole time we were in there. If he wasn't mixing cocktails, he was cleaning and restocking - always had something on the go. The only mix up was with our hostess, who did not mention to the bartender that we had opted to dine at the bar, so he assumed we were just enjoying a drink while waiting for a table. After about 20 minutes, we asked how we ordered food, and he apologized for the mix-up. All in all, before tip, our bill was right around 80-85$ including tax. For 2 alcoholic beverages, a mocktail, two appies, and a main! Thanks for turning our weekend around Bold Italian Eatery! We will be back 🥰

Went for the chicken parm after seeing a review online. Big fan of chicken parm and I wasn't disappointed. The rest of the family liked their dishes as well. Caesar salad was a hit for a starter! Haven't been to Bold for a few years. But I was chatting with lots of people that were saying the newer menu was great. They were not wrong.

What an awesome place. From the decor to the vibe, the staff, and the amazing owners, it's just an all-around fantastic restaurant and dining experience. I come here all the time and recently realized I hadn't written a review. I figure it's because every single time I come here, I sit anxiously waiting for the food to hit the table, then I inhale it and leave completely satisfied. Writing a review just never crosses my mind. That said, I can't recommend this place enough to anyone who wants incredible food and a truly memorable experience.

Bold always out doing themselves with flavour and amazing service! I took myself for a mom and baby lunch (baby is 6 weeks) chose my favourite restaurant to go to. I can not describe the flavour in this steak sandwich! Absolutely melt in your mouth, mouth watering meal! The best part was Deej sharing how he developed this amazing lunch entree! For Lunch I had the Calabrian steak sandwich a steak sandwich that melts in ur mouth with a kick of spicy! Not your average steak sandwich, truly top knotch, as Karly shared call me high maintained cause steak is my favourite! For dessert I had the orange cranberry spice cheesecake ABSOLUTELY amazing the flavour and texture is perfect! Enjoyed at home with a cup of tea cause that steak sandwich was so filling!! (deej this has to come back multiple times!!) Thank you Karly & Deej

Service was pleasant & efficient. The mood & decor are nice; I wouldn't say their description of it being "industrial" is accurate & def don't go if that's the vibe you need. I do like that you can watch the cooks make the pies! I don't understand all the 5* reviews, is Kamloops that short of good Italian ? 🤷🏻‍♂️The food was OK. The preparation & presentation were good but both dishes were woefully under seasoned & portion size was average, & therefore it's overpriced my some margin.

Bold Flavors, Even Bolder Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✨ Hidden Gem Alert! ✨ The Bold Italian Eatery is fantastic, but what truly made my experience shine was my waitress, Madison. She has such a warm, genuine personality—like reconnecting with an old friend you’ve known forever. Pleasant, professional, and real. She even brought me a wine sample when I was deciding, and her timing was flawless: attentive without hovering, always checking in at just the right moment. The food was equally impressive. I had the gluten-free Caesar salad, styled beautifully and bursting with flavor. Absolute eye candy on the plate, but even better once you take that first bite. My mouth waters just thinking about it—I’ll absolutely have it again. Though the restaurant is tucked into a small plaza, inside it’s cozy, clean, and welcoming. Pair the delicious food with service like Madison’s, and you’ve got yourself a must-visit spot. If you’ve read this far, do yourself a favor—go. Eat. Enjoy. You’ll walk out smiling.

Pizza take-out & delivery chain offering classic & specialty pizzas, plus wings, sides & desserts.
Best pizza place in town. If you want a cheeezzyyyy pizza, do go for papa johns. Loved the pepperoni and bacon pizza I tried today. Cheese sticks, and boneless wings are my all time favourite. Always keeping up the quality in every visit. Loved the way they are friendly and welcoming. Must try it out😋

I’ve never experienced such poor management at a pizza place. The staff looked completely disorganized and overwhelmed, clearly due to a lack of proper leadership. My order was late, wrong, and cold—and when I brought it up, the manager was rude and dismissive, offering no solution or apology. It’s obvious that no one’s being trained properly or held accountable. This Papa John’s location seriously needs new management if they want customers to come back.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received during my recent visit. My daughter had placed an order and I came to pick it up. I was given the wrong pickup time and ended up waiting unnecessarily. Despite the store not appearing busy, there was still an unacceptable delay. The pizza itself was below average and the I asked for square cut which was not done and absolutely not worth the price I paid.I witnessed the delivery driver smoking right outside in front of his SUV, and both staff and driver were speaking in a highly disrespectful manner. This entire experience was extremely frustrating and left a very negative impression.

Would have been a full 5 stars if they square cut my pizza! The past 3 times I have ordered my pizza from here they have forgot to square cut it!! Besides that the food tastes excellent :)

Very inconsistent. I never tip here. Ordered a pizza and the buffalo boneless chicken. Paying over 8$ for what? Barely a drizzle of buffalo sauce lol. There are far better pizza joints in town.
Terry — Google review
Paid for extra sauces, I asked if all of the sauces were in and they said yes, they were not. The sauces that were included were 1/4 filled. This is a common experience at this location.

Placed a delivery order and was told it would take 40 minutes - 1 hour. 2 hours later the pizza shows up at my door ice cold. After calling the store twice and being told both times it would take 2 more minutes. Horrible service and lack of customer service. If i could give it zero stars i would. Absolutely horrendous would not recommend to anyone.

Call taker refuses to listen. Sent 3 wrong pizzas and took 4 hours after first delivery. After 3 delivery, and return we finally got a super crappy pizza.

Nestled in the historic 1904 Canadian Bank of Commerce building, Brownstone Restaurant is a beloved dining spot in downtown Kamloops. With a seasonal menu that showcases the very best BC products and local beers, this classy establishment offers innovative dishes and house-made rustic bread, cheeses, and charcuterie. The restaurant's garden courtyard provides fresh herbs and salad greens for their culinary creations.
During our recent visit, we enjoyed a satisfying dining experience. We ordered the grilled pork loin chop and the pan-roasted chicken breast—both dishes were excellently prepared. The pork loin was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the chicken breast was tender and flavorful. We finished with the chocolate mousse for dessert, which was a rich and creamy. A perfect end to a great meal. We’ll definitely be returning!

Went for a weekend dinner at Brownstone Restaurant. They're one of the few high end spots in town. Courtyard’s perfect for outdoor dining. Mains are $28.00 to $52.00. - Sangria ($13.00) - Besamé ($13.00) - Prawn ceviche ($17.00) - tiny portion - Smoked duck breast ($35.00) - excellent polenta. Cherry fig complimented the duck - Elk osso buco ($39.00) - special of the night. Elk was dry, scallop potatoes were delicious - Herb crusted Pacific red snapper ($31.00) - flaky and moist. Enjoyed the chive risotto, variety of veg (carrots, asparagus, red pepper) - Cioppino ($30.00)

A good restaurant with good service. Some exceptional dishes and some misses. Service was great from some and mid from others. We had a variety of dishes - the rabbit spanakopita was great, the pork chop also great. The paella was sort of paella. The steak was a chewy mess. Cocktails were also hit and miss. Certainly missing the details for a premium priced establishment.

Been to this restaurant twice, once in 2023 and once in 2025, I'll have to say the food in 2023 was better. This time the lamp was overcooked and the seafood dish came out somewhat cold. Service was good as always, I like their courtyard and the heritage building. Really nice in the summer.

The Brownstone offers a classic and classy ambiance in the dining room and an imaginative menu with locally sourced ingredients. The wine list features local BC wines. We started with a smoked beetroot salad with a fennel and goat cheese dressing and a spanakopita stuffed with duck and topped with apple slices. Our server was very knowledgeable about the drink and food selections and was always Johnny on the spot. Mains were a mixed seafood stew and salmon served over whipped horseradish potatoes with grilled vegetables. Both were flavorful and delicious. The serving of the seafood stew was HUGE and could easily be shared. I should’ve ordered the regular potatoes because the horseradish potatoes slightly overpowered the salmon.

A great restaurants, wonderful menus, we were going to just have a main course but the starters were too tempting, we had crab cakes and the Rabbit, followed by Salmon by the lamb couscous. Then our waitress brought the dessert menus, we both had the maple Creme brûlée historic. Our waitress was friendly and super helpful. Eat way more than we should have! Thank you Polly at the Rocky Mountaineer for the recommendation . We booked in advance

Food was good, the salmon dish was a bit bland, while the other red snapper was good. The elk meatballs and potatoes were perfect and highly recommend. Service was good and inside was bit warm inside on a hot day

A group of us attended for my mother's 70th birthday dinner. The service was superb. Our waiter was knowledgeable about both the meal orders and their various flavors and preparation methods as well as the wine and drink pairings. The food was scrumptious and filling and our group was happy with the little nook we were given for a private dining experience. We were a little loud so I do hope we didn't negatively impact the atmosphere for other guests at the establishment. Beyond brilliant experience. Well done.

Riverside Park in Kamloops, British Columbia is a picturesque green space located along the Thompson River. It offers a variety of outdoor activities and amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park features a sandy public river beach, perfect for swimming and relaxing by the water. Additionally, there are recreation paths that wind through the park, providing opportunities for leisurely strolls or bike rides.
This is a really nice riverside park. It should be very popular for locals in summer. The new water park is great for kids. If you bring kids make sure you bring the swim suits, they can enjoy the water park in hot summer. There are many tables and benches in shady area. The beach is beautiful with the sunset too. It's good for the whole family have fun and walk there no matter you are locals or visitors. The parking lot is big and free after 5pm. A park you should go for a walk.

Green heart of Kamloops! A beautiful Riverside Park that’s perfect for all ages! The water park is a great spot for kids to cool off in the summer, and there are plenty of benches and picnic tables in the shady areas for a relaxing break. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s a lovely place for a walk. Don’t miss the Rose Garden and the peaceful Japanese Garden — they add a special touch to the park. A must-visit in warm weather!

Riverside Park in Kamloops is an absolute gem! We visited in the summer and had an amazing time. The park was full of life, families, kids, and people enjoying the beautiful weather. It offers stunning views of the river and has a clean, well-maintained beach that’s perfect for relaxing. The atmosphere is vibrant and peaceful at the same time. A huge thanks to the city government and park management for keeping this place so clean, safe, and welcoming. If you’re around Kamloops, this is definitely a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Riverside Park in Kamloops is a beautiful riverside spot with walking trails, playgrounds, and a splash pad—perfect for families. The views of the Thompson Rivers are stunning, and summer concerts add a lively vibe. Parking can get busy, and shade is limited in some areas. Overall, a clean, relaxing park worth visiting — I’d rate it 4/5 stars.

A beauty of a park for everyone. We visited the park early September. There are many large old trees to sit under for shade from the hot sun, its close by the river and has a long walking path alongside it. I was told there is live entertainment each evening during July and August.

Awesome place to play, watch and have fun in the splash park. They have an updated playground that is wheelchair accessible. The water park is so much fun. We stayed and watched the sunset. It was beautiful. Would definitely come back

Excellent amenities, busy with lots going on, this is a great gathering place. Great people watching, lots of entertainment, and a lot of shade on hot summer days. There was even a concert when I was there on a Thursday! There is a water park, limited parking, a swimming beach area that is sectioned off so it is a safe place to swim in the river, paved trails and much more.

Farmers' market
The Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market is a beloved spot among locals and visitors alike, offering an array of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, and more. With a history spanning over 40 years, the market has grown to feature numerous vendors showcasing everything from art and jewelry to organic treats and locally distilled spirits. Families can enjoy activities for kids while browsing through a diverse selection of items for sale. The market also hosts live performances on occasion, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
This is must visit and see for both locals and visitors. So many great stalls. Lots of options. Great fun, lots of parking close by. There is some one to even look after your bike. Great fun for all ages.

A great Kamloops experience. So many vendors; bakery, preserves, meats, vegetables, ciders, jewelry, clothing and much more. With live music you can stop and browse one of the many vendors tents.
A.J. C — Google review
Massive selection of local produce, baked goods, honey, liquor and meat. Also activities and games for the kids as well as vendors with jewelry, crafts and other goods for sale. There are occasionally performers as well which really make for a great atmosphere. Come here as often as you can and support the local community!
Zee B — Google review
I gave 1 star because I applied as a vendor. I applied right after the applications opened and then was told almost a month later that my product may not be chosen because there was another similar long-term vendor. I understand that, but also it is clear they pick and choose based on old membership, and that really limits new people's ability to even get into these markets and change the vendors year to year. Also, I still have not received a response, which as a farmer is extremely disrespectful. Farmers count on planting crops way before markets open. If I got an answer, a No is fine, then at least I can reassess and find other options. I found this market odd as well, because they said "has to be made within this map area" but when I visited as a patron they had people from Lillooet. Also products have to be "made, baked or grown by the vendor" this was 100% not the case in the craft section at all, lol. Its a good market as a customer, lots of variety, but not to apply as a vendor if you are new or counting on it.
Natural-Know H — Google review
An amazing local market with over 100 Kamloops area vendors. Stop by on Saturday or Wednesday between April and October for an abundance of local fruit, vegetables, jewelry, wine, baking, crafts, soaps, art, fresh and frozen meat and so much more.
Christy D — Google review
The Saturday farmers market is awesome. This market punches above it's weight in terms of size and vendor variety. I had a few friends in from Vancouver who were surprised at the size and quality of the market considering Kamloops isn't a major city. In recent years, they've expanded to an additional small parking lot off 2nd Street as well. We walk down most Saturdays to get seasonal veg. Beyond vegetables and fruit, there are also many artisan crafts and other wares. The donut/coffee stand and the smokie stand are usually hot commodities too! If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. Great vibes!
Bryson H — Google review
The majority of the vendors are very kind and have delicious foods. However it's unfortunate to see that the prices of all foods and products are incredibly expensive. Unfortunately your better off going to the grocery store for most things. There was a guy selling 12oz hot sauce for over 35$ for just 1 bottle!! Insane!!!!🤯

Carlos O'Bryan's Neighborhood Pub is a popular spot with a rooftop patio that's perfect for enjoying the summer weather. Visitors can expect cold beer, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere. The service is professional and attentive, while the homemade Blue Cheese Dip is highly recommended. Guests have praised the friendly staff and exceptional service, making it a memorable experience.
The food was excellent. That was one of the best steaks we've had. Even the Fettuccini Alfredo was so tasty and very filling. Tried Pachos for the first time. It was so good, and the portion was quite big. It'd be better if they could add more vegetarian items to the menu. The service was great and the waiting time was very low. The server helped us in choosing the food from the menu, which was great. We liked the Irish vibe it had and loved the music.

Such amazing service and the food was amazing. Especially when we hit highway traffic and showed up right as the kitchen closed - we had called ahead to put in our order and when we got there we were greeted quickly and the food that came out a minute later was absolutely delicious!

An excellent pub with great service, we enjoyed it thoroughly. The specials are amazing. Some of the food was a standout (ponchos) and some left a bit to be desired however the atmosphere was fantastic and cannot fault the staff at all

Was there a week or two ago, everything was lovely except our server. She spoke incredibly rude to our entire table + tipped HERSELF even though we had told her we were not going to due to her behaviour. Quite unacceptable. I can’t remember her name fully but it might’ve been Barry or Brenda?
Rayli — Google review
It was Halloween night, so I expected long waits but even with that in mind our waits were brutal. Food arrived an hour after ordering and our drinks were even after that. Was not the servers fault, there should have been 4 times the staff. Not sure if that was people bailing on their shifts or a schedule failure. Food and drinks were overpriced.
Darian M — Google review
Ambience is really great. Fries were great with perfect crisp. Steak was really juicy but felt too simple for the price. In house wine was really smooth. Blue curacao was little too citrusy than refreshing. Mushrooms were perfect. The short little chubby lady(please excuse as I want you to be recognised and in sorry for not asking your name) who helped us was amazing and always kept an eye on us in case we needed her but the other "beautiful" ladies hardly care even when we were looking at them for assistance. They'd rather chit chat around the bar counter than helping us. Overall the food was good with great flavors and perfect cooked though I'm concerned on the price range.

With over two decades of culinary excellence, this bustling restaurant offers an all-day breakfast menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and sweet treats. The friendly staff and commitment to creating memorable moments make Hello Toast a beloved destination for breakfast and lunch.
Stumbled upon an awesome breakfast spot that really hit the mark. I never imagined pesto could work so well with eggs until I tried their tasty green eggs and ham. The signature spuds were packed with flavor and surprisingly, I managed to wipe the plate clean despite the generous portion. The eggs Benedict were also solid, with perfectly runny eggs and a hollandaise sauce that was rich without being too heavy. The French toast stood out too, with just the right balance of sweetness. Service was great and it was a fantastic way to kick off the day.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. It was busy but we only had to wait a few minutes to be seated at a table. Service was quick and very welcoming. We did not feel rushed to finish up as often happens at breakfast places. I had the 1/2 Hot Italiano Bennie and my friend had the full Incredible Hulk. Presentation and flavour of the dishes was wonderful.

This was my first time going to Hello Toast and also my first time trying an eggs Benny, and now I can’t believe I went my whole life without one! I’ll definitely be coming back to Hello Toast to explore all the other Bennys on their menu!!

First time at this establishment, and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were engaged, and the breakfasts were delicious. We had the Cayenne in the Rain, Fast Eddie, and Bacon Benny. Good portions, and most importantly, it was all fresh.

Brunch is always tough for me because I don’t eat pork and it is always the main attraction on breakfast/brunch menus but Hello Toast had several options that caught my eye. I ordered the beef brisket eggs Benny and it was absolutely delicious! The brisket was so tender and had some crispy edges with such a good flavour. The potatoes were so well seasoned and so tasty. It was so great that I wanted to eat there the very next day! Service was quick and attentive, I highly recommend dining here!

Every time I drive through Kamloops, I make a point to stop at Hello Toast. IMHO, one of the best brunch/breakfast spots in the city. It's family owned and the service is very friendly and nice. It's popular, though, so you may need to wait a while to get a table. They make all the things from scratch, and it really shows in the flavour of the food. I had the Fun-Guy benny, with swiss cheese and mushrooms. So good! Love those rustic potatoes, as well.

Dorian Greek House was so busy when we entered but we didn’t have to wait long for a table. There were a lot of great options on the menu - we settled for the Chicken Parm and the server recommended the mushroom chicken pasta. I was actually blown away with the huge portions and wow this pasta tasted incredible. Creamy, hot and dilly, I was in heaven! I loved their really well seasoned garlic bread too. My husband said his chicken parm with meat sauce pasta was his new favourite. The server was incredibly busy so we understood that she couldn’t be as attentive but the hostess kept checking up on us. I will have to return to try other items and order the pastas again! Highly recommended!

We ordered the chicken souvlaki and roasted lamb, both of which were really fresh and served quickly. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant, even though the restaurant was steady.
Darya D — Google review
I'll start off by saying the food here is delightful. Yes, the prices are more expensive than a pub or fast food place, but you truly get what you pay for. Not only was the quality and taste fantastic, but the portions are outstanding. The average person will likely be asking for a to go box, so be sure to bring an appetite! The service staff were awesome. Kind, informative, and funny, while also being sure to check in if you need anything frequently. The only thing I can't give 5 stars is the atmosphere. Yes the place does have a cozy feel, but the little things like the burnt out neon light hinder it a little. This is a small nit-pick, but if you're looking for a "fancy, classy expensive atmosphere" this doesn't have that. More of a casual comfortable one.

Love it here!!! Great food, great staff! Definitely one of my favourite places to go here in town, haven’t had a bad meal once. Our server tonight was Angie and she was fantastic! Didn’t take long for our food to come out, drinks came fast, food was hot and delicious! Perfect place for date nights!

Have been twice to this restaurant, once with 8 people and once with 2. Both times the service was appalling. The first time we didn’t get asked if we wanted drinks for 20 minutes and they didn’t arrive for another 10. Our food order didn’t make it to the kitchen and we had to ask about it. We sat for an hour before the food arrived. Note: it was not remotely busy that night. The second time we didn’t get asked about drinks or food order for 20 minutes. Again, not a busy night, and we were going to a concert. After 40 minutes we had to ask about our order and it came almost instantly which told us it had been ready a while. We had to rush to eat our food, (which was very good) and ask for our bill to be made up so we could make it to the concert in time. We won’t be returning to Dorians.

First time at Dorian's and had a great meal with my friends. The menu had many options available which is great for those with different dietary preferences. I got the calamari appetizer and chicken tenders and fries for my main (with a side of fries due to some menu confusion). The calamari was FANTASTIC and I loved every bite. It had great flavor, large pieces of calimari, and for the portion was appropriately priced. The chicken tenders DO come with fries but on the menu it did not indicate this (hence the side of fries). Loved my chicken tender meal. The fries were hot and crispy and the tenders were juicy. Overall 10/10 meal and would return here again for a meal.

With its top-notch quality and generous portions, Tongdak has gained a loyal customer base that can't stop raving about it to friends and family. The staff at Tongdak are not only happy but also very kind, providing excellent service.
I ordered the Chi-Bob (chicken with rice and sauce), and it was amazing! The portion size was generous, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sauce paired so well with the rice. I highly recommend this dish if you’re looking for something satisfying and delicious. I’ll definitely be back for more!

While the fried chicken is undoubtedly the star of the show, they also offers a variety of other Korean dishes worth trying. Their spicy rice cakes are chewy and full of flavor, with a perfect balance of heat and sweetness. The Korean corn dogs are a fun and delicious treat, with a crispy exterior and a savory filling.

We were in the mood for chicken but not the typical fast food. I found Tongdak on Google and their menu options all sounded delicious and the prices were also fair. So we ordered two of the honey butter garlic boxes and two of the Korean corn dogs. First off, when we brought it to the car the smell was absolutely heavenly. It was all hot and fresh & the presentation was nice. I tried the Korean corn dog first…wow! It was not your standard corn dog. It was crispy, lightly dusted with sugar and had a little drizzle of ketchup and mustard. Filled with mozzarella cheese for that satisfying cheese pull and then your little beef dog. 10/10. The chicken was phenomenal. Hands down some of the best fried chicken I’ve tasted. There was a perfect amount of sauce and the pieces of chicken were a surprisingly large size which allowed for us to have the rest the following day. Even being re-heated in the air fryer, they were still just as delicious as when they were fresh! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. So good!
Richelle — Google review
I like chicken here except for they fill up the box with fries. Koreans don't actually eat fries with chicken. I have never seen it as me, Korean. I wish they would serve only chicken. Proper amount of chicken.

Wonderful food, good price and was ready to go quite quickly. Cute little spot to cool down and grab some bubble tea in the same mall! Chicken came with fries and rice cake which is unique

Ordered-in the original meal and a order of the cheddar dusted chicken this last week for the family and we all enjoyed it so much. I had been craving it since and today my husband and I stopped by restaurant. Very friendly service, and the food again was delicious! Crispy, tender, flavourful chicken I can’t get enough of. I won’t settle for any other fried chicken! Great job TongDak!

Amazing fried chicken. Like Lucky's but better batter IMO. The dipping sauces.. soy/garlic and sweet/spicy chili. They were FANTASTIC. The batter is light, golden and delicious. Great packaging as well. Will be back for sure.

After traveling to South Korea I developed a craving for Korean fried chicken, but couldnt quite find anywhere that resembled it, or was able to on my own. Then Tongdak came into my life. This place is the real deal! Their chicken is delicious and reminds me of the many nights of 치맥 with friends until the early mornings. The stickers on the box are nice :) 감사합니다!

Halal restaurant
Krob Krua Thai Restaurant, founded by the husband and wife team Kamphon and Vipawan Muktier, offers an authentic taste of Thailand in Kamloops. Their unique approach involves omitting fish sauce from their dishes to cater to Western palates while keeping them vegan and vegetarian-friendly. The restaurant has received praise for its friendly staff, great service, and delicious food including must-try dishes like Tom Yum Goongl.
Food and service both great. We ordered a Pad Thai with beef and a Gang Per Thai. Very delicious. Green curry was a little spicy but Pad Thai level 2 was very mild.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. The staff are so kind, friendly, and gracious, and the food is absolutely flawless. One of the best Gang Kiew Wan green curries I’ve had in Western Canada, with a proper spice that will appeal to everyone. Can’t recommend this wonderful spot enough.

Menu Favorites: Nua Tod (Striploin Beef Chunks), Goong Hom Paa (Fried Shrimp Roll), Thai Chicken Wings with Nam Jim Jeow (Thai Chilli Sauce) were instant hits in appetizers. In the main course, couldn't stop eating the Beef Pad King with Jasmine Rice and Thai Iced Tea. Staff: Super friendly and prompt, guided us through the menu and got us excited about visiting Thailand. Ambiance: Well lit homely atmosphere with ample seating space for groups of all sizes.

We went to eat at 4 p.m., it's probably late for lunch and early for dinner, so we were alone at the beginning and it alerted us a little. But the food turned out to be very delicious and large portions. Also, a friendly waiter-cashier. I recommend it.

Amazing Halal food. All the foods were really tasty and the quality of food was excellent. The owner and all the employees were really friendly. I highly recommend everyone to try them once you will become a fan of their foods.

We are very pleased to have stopped in here for a delicious meal of Thai. All the dishes were excellent and the owners were very attentive & friendly. Definitely worth it!

Amazing Thai food, better than most of the places in Vancouver. I try to come here everytime I visit family. The pad thai is very good, great portion size for the price. I get veggie pad sew ew, extra saucy, no tofu or egg. They do so great with it and it's one of my favorites, I don't even leave leftovers as I can't stop eating it once I pop the lid.
Jayne S — Google review
Overrated, overhyped and overpriced!! Despite the hype, the overall experience was far from satisfactory. The Thai curry (doesn't come with the rice), which should be a highlight, turned out to be a waste of money. Having tasted Thai curry at numerous places, I was shocked when the manager dismissed our concerns, insisting that's how it's made. It was disappointing to encounter such a dismissive attitude towards customer feedback. Thai curry and the soup had same thickness. While the soup flavour was commendable, the disproportionate ratio of vegetables, particularly mushrooms, overshadowed the broth. What's more concerning is the apparent lack of interest from the staff in ensuring customer satisfaction. Our server appeared disinterested and somewhat biased, which further dampened the dining experience. Experienced stomach issues afterward. Eat at your own risk. Not recommended.

Ice cream shop
Scoopz Ice Cream Parlour is a popular neighborhood spot open from April to September, offering a wide variety of ice cream and sorbets, including new flavors. Located near Riverside Park in downtown Kamloops, it's known for serving generous portions of Foothills Creamery Ice Cream that will have your kids asking for more. Despite its small size, the parlour attracts long lines even on rainy days, a testament to its delicious offerings.
As a person who has social anxiety and often gets overwhelmed ordering face to face with people the staff were very welcoming and kind. Despite how overwhelmed and flustered I was they were very patient and made sure to give me my delicious ice cream in a very fast manner. Now I am down at Riverside a lot during the summer between events and hangout with friends. This ice cream place is always such a refreshing stop and I defiantly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet treat. I have been going there for years and will continue both recommending and going to this shop for as long as it stays open. Definitely a need to go stop for anyone touring Kamloops.

I was recommended to visit Scoopz Ice Cream Parlour, and it exceeded my expectations! They offer a wide range of flavors, including dairy-free options, so everyone in the group found something they enjoyed. The ice cream portions are generous, and every flavor we tried was fantastic. I personally tried the Shark Attack and Red Velvet flavors, and they were incredible! The shop is ideally situated just across from the park, making it a perfect stop for refreshments. There’s seating available for 8 to 10 people, so we could sit and enjoy our treats comfortably. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Our total bill was close to 10 CAD, which was quite reasonable for the quality and quantity we received. It was a friends' meet-up, and calling my friends' kids to join made it even more special.

I went to visit scoops yesterday with my two more friends. We love the ice cream but I don't know what was wrong.the staff never greeted us or neither gave us smile or anything. And it was not even busy when I went there. It was just me and my friends. Staff never gave us any welcoming gesture or they never made us feel good. We felt really awkward and uncomfortable. I had my friend who was from Toronto and she was taking bit long to decide which flavour she needs as it was first time her visiting this place. I even apologize as she was taking bit time. And the expressions they gave were not nice at all. I felt disappointed by taking my friend there.

BC Wildlife Park is a spacious zoo and rehabilitation center that houses a wide variety of animals native to British Columbia. The park is home to over 60 species, including grizzly bears, arctic wolves, black bears, bobcats, coyotes, and cougars. Many of these animals were orphaned or rescued. In addition to the diverse wildlife, the park features a gallery, educational exhibits, a Wildlife Education Center, gift shop, cafe, and outdoor playground.
The BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops is a truly special place that leaves you with a full heart. It’s more than just a zoo — it’s a rescue and rehabilitation center for animals native to British Columbia. Over 60% of the animals here have been rescued, and the park does an incredible job of educating and connecting people to wildlife and nature. You’ll see grizzly bears, arctic wolves, cougars, birds of prey, and more. There’s also a picnic area, a small water park for kids, a mini train ride, a gift shop, café, amphitheatre, and a petting zoo. It’s spacious, well-organized, and a perfect place for families or anyone who cares about animals and the environment. Highly recommended!

Visited in September. BC Wildlife Park was a sweet and memorable stop. Loved seeing the rescued animals—they looked safe and well cared for, which was really heartwarming. Owl Talk was a definite highlight! Getting up close to such a beautiful bird was amazing. The observation hive was super cool too. The spirit bear is the standout, but no luck spotting it this time. Still, a lovely visit overall.

We had such an amazing time at BC Wildlife Park. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Unfortunately, we missed the train ride, but there was still so much to see and enjoy. The park is very family-friendly, with great facilities for all ages. One highlight for me was seeing the cougar laying right at the gate, such a beautiful moment! Also, I absolutely loved the honey in the gift shop definitely worth picking up a jar.
Katie N — Google review
We absolutely love the place. They only have rescued animals and the have signs telling you the story of each animal plus really interesting facts about that animal species. We went in a hot sunny summer day so recommend to bring a hat and a ton of sun screen. The splash zone they have was a blast that gave us some relief from the hot weather. We were able to see so many animals (recommend checking the feeding schedule), we love the bears they have in particular the white one which is only found in BC. They have some timings for you to go a pet some goats and sheep they have, they even provide brushes which are like a spa for the animals, they love to be pet and are super friendly and cute
Carolina J — Google review
A bit disappointed by the facilities. Needs renovations. The train 🚂 was not running unfortunately. Off season prices too expensive. When we arrived at 10:30am there was almost no animals out it felt very strange, like an abandoned old zoo. Later on we saw more but some of the cages were not looking very clean. The birds section was great. It is nice to have the story of the rescue of each animal. They definitely should replace most of the fences by glasses. Not that much of “wild” animal.
Lou L — Google review
Visited BC Wildlife Park on Canada Day, and despite the hot weather, we had a wonderful time. We got to see a variety of animals, including the bear, which was a highlight. Though not as many animals as you'd expect from a zoo since this is wildlife refuge. The little train ride was a fun and relaxing way to explore the park, especially for kids. One of the best features on a hot day was the water sprinklers, the kids had a blast cooling off and running through them. The park is well laid out with shaded areas and great for families. A fun, educational, and refreshing day out, highly recommended!
Jas S — Google review
This is such an extraordinary place to go. There's a vast amount of things to learn, and Animals to see. It took about an hour to walk around the park, but was very easy for me even with a bad hip. The grizzlys were super interactive as well. Definitely worth the drive. I'll be coming back with my kids.
Paige D — Google review
We visited late on a hot July afternoon and only had 1.5 hrs to tour. As expected, it was hit and miss with seeing the animals in their enclosures, and at that time of day we had the park pretty much to ourselves. That said, everything appeared to be well laid out, well signed, and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the birds of prey exhibit, and noted there is a family farm where visitors can interact with farm animals. Judging from the sandwich board sign of the day’s activities it is better to arrive in the morning to take advantage of feedings and demonstrations.

I recently had my wedding ceremony at Monte Creek Winery and it was wonderful! They've had some turnover in event coordinators so I worked with a few different people throughout the planning process but they were all very helpful, responsive, and flexible with figuring out all the little details. The wedding was beautiful and everyone loved the wine selections for the cocktail hour. The Living Land Sparkling Rosé in particular was a big hit!

David R — Google review
My first time here and the kids first time skiing. I found this place on Google, and the positive reviews do not do this place enough justice. I've been to a handful of ski resorts and skiing locations, but this was one of my best experiences. To start, the staff here were all extremely friendly and accomodating from fitting to tickets to the restaurant. The staff on the lifts were also very helpful with the kids, especially because they were first timers on the slope. The instructor, Cameron, was awesome. Shout out to him as he approaches his 50th year of teaching! The other main reason why we'd come back to Harper was the lack of lines. Whether it was the tow bar or T Bar lifts, there was virtually no wait time which made it that much more fun for everyone. One word of advice for visitors not accustomed to driving on cold or snowy conditions, make sure to check the weather report and bring chains. It snowed the second day, so we had to pull over on the side of the mountain to put on chains. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip early due to an injury, but we may make this an annual thing.

The beer was good. Especially the Mocha Porter. Or server was excellent. Efficient, friendly and attentive. The food was great. I had the Free Run Chicken (no bun due to gluten sensitivity - could have had a gf one but prefer none). I'll be back here when I'm in town again.

Server was super nice and friendly! We tried the bees knees pizza, and the flagship Mac & Cheese! The Mac & cheese was good! But the pizza, the pizza was amazing. Perfectly crispy & thinish, nice garlic flavour and the hot honey balanced it out. Definitely give it a try!

We came here with a team. The food was amazing. I wasn’t too sure about the chicken burger I got (pesto chicken) but the server recommended it. It was delicious. Also, the side salads looked amazing. The fries were proper fries. The service was friendly and very helpful. The beer was also very good. I would come back and recommend this place for sure!

Came here for dinner with my kids around 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. We were greeted by a friendly server and seated in a nice booth. The service was pretty fast and they let us order drinks and food items right away. The food came out quite quickly and was well prepared. I asked for a menu variation because I wanted more protein in my meal so they did a boneless option for me which was quite nice. They have some to-go beer options if that's something you like. They have a really nice patio and it seems to be dog friendly which is an awesome option for dog owners. Overall, it was a very good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. My only criticism was that my chicken sandwich was not one piece of chicken, but rather a series of smaller dark meat pieces lumped together. But the bacon was crispy and the sauce was tasty. So overall it was still a very good dish.
Erin M — Google review
We went on Friday evening. Atmosphere is always good and the food was great as well! Unfortunately a table that was seated way after us, got their appies first (same thing we ordered), and we were waiting quite a bit. Our appetizers came out after we got out main food. Which felt a bit like a waste. We found the pickles a bit overdone as well. The prices are honestly unreasonable. To pay around $20 for a chopped up breaded pickle - is a bit unrealistic even for today's cost of living/price hikes. I know, it's our fault for ordering it tbh. The waiter we had told me that there was mashed potatoes in the Yorkie when I had asked if there was, and it came out without mashed potatoes. Food - tasted and looked great though Cost - unrealistic prices for what they're serving. Atmosphere- good but the resteraunt was fairly empty on a Friday evening downtown. Still clean and looked nice. Service - both waiter and waitress (our waiter was cut and so we had another waitress assigned to us) were friendly, lovely and overall provided excellent service. Overall, still is a good place to go if you can justify the prices somehow. The mishap with our appies was whatever and I get that sometimes that happens. Overall 3/5 stars.

We tried the Pad thai and it's a Canadian take on the dish. The pizza Bees Knees was a sweet take with local sourced salami. Scenic Railroads
The Kamloops Heritage Railway is a popular attraction that features the Canadian National Railway #2141, known as the Spirit of Kamloops. This 108-year-old steam engine has a rich history, originally used for passenger transport and later for hauling logs in British Columbia. The railway offers guided tours of the Backshop and operates five historic train cars, with ongoing restoration efforts for a sixth car.
The city of Kamloops has played an intermediary role connecting Canadian Pacific and Canadian Natural thus connecting the East to the West. This Railways have played a huge role here in this city’s development and history. As someone from Calgary where Railway also played a great role and I love learning the rail history, this one an intriguing place to visit to know more. The staffs are genuinely some of the nicest people around and are so eager to teach about history of the trains. There are many actual trains and although some are retired, some still operate and you will see some rare snow plower trains here too which you can get inside of. There is also miniature trains and a city map inside the train like a museum. You can get inside some of these trains and learn how they communicated in the old days without radio and how they operated these mechanical machines. This is a must visit place for train and history lovers

This is the home for the #2141 Spirit of Kamloops steam locomotive. This train has been lovingly restored and has her original bell, whistle and name plate as well as authentic coaches, caboose, open air cars amd a cafe lounge railcar. The KHR, since going static, has turned their workshop into a museum. This museum, at the end of Pioneer Park, features exhibits on the #2141, Kamloops railway history and the story of our volunteers on their journey to restore a 115 year old steam locomotive. The KHR offers tours that offer an intimate look into the history of the 2141, often missed Kamloops railway history and the history of those who worked the rails. I would highly recommend this tour for train buffs and families alike. Child and family friendly. They are always looking for volunteers to help keep the dream of alive. Steam back into history!

It was closed, i'm assuming it's because of the covid restrictions still, so I can't give it a 5 star rating as if yet.Too bad, but you can still see some of the site behind the fence on the public pathways.

One of the must see and do things when in Kamloops. The train inside out takes you to a time 100 years ago. Purely driven by volunteers this is a piece of history that everyone needs to get a taste of when in Kamloops.

Your ticket on the Kamloops Heritage Railway is like buying a ticket back in time! It was so interesting learning about this trains history and how it operates. The most interesting fact was that everyone but three folks on this train were volunteers! The folks helping guests on the train, entertaining, and informing them are all giving up their time for the love of preserving this history and sharing it.

Frick & Frack Tap House is a laid-back pub and restaurant located in the heart of Kamloops, welcoming both humans and their furry friends at outdoor tables. Since 1996, it has been a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes from around the world, including burgers, fajitas, pasta, and an impressive variety of draft beers. The friendly staff ensures a delightful dining experience with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Group of 8-This place has an excellent atmosphere with big screen TVs and all the flair that you would expect to see with such a place. The food is typical of what you would find at a pub, appetizer burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. This was my third visit here, the servers were friendly, helpful and professional the menu had a good selection of items to choose from. The food portions were decent and the prices were in line with the competition. This place was good enough to interest me in coming back to check out some of their other menu options and specials.

I came here for gluten-free options and at first I was disappointed because it didn't look like there was much on the menu, but talking to the server it turns out some things can be made GF and they have a dedicated GF fryer, so I could have fries and wings (the curly fries are not GF). The coffee is pretty weak, but fresh. I wouldn't say the food was overly flavourful, but it wasn't greasy and I was looking for some pub food and this hit the spot. The servers were friendly and the lunch time atmosphere is great. They had an early 2000s playlist going, which was a nice change from the usual loud rock and rap. Nothing wrong with that, but soft rock/pop rock was nice mid-day.

Enjoyed the Thai chicken bowl and my regular beer at Frick and Frack. The food was delicious! The staff was friendly and helped me through the menu. Love frick & fracks ambiance. Definitely a 10/10 for me.

My group had a great time here. The fries and gravy are cooked perfect, crispy on outside soft inside. Beef dip was flavourful and juicy. We had a child with us and he ate good and was given special attention. Fantastic place to eat.

I really enjoyed the service of my server daisy, she was very polite and extremely refined when it came to recommendations to anything on the menu. I would recommend requesting her if you decide to make the visit. Overall I would rate my experience a 9/10 it was quite peaceful considering it was a Saturday night. Her refined service made the evening memorable, and I highly recommend her.

Food was delicious! I had the Texas Sandwich which was an absolute hit! The fried onions and the fresh bread really made it stand out. Our waitress was also wonderful. She was very attentive, made sure we had everything we needed, and was super pleasant to chat with. We'll be back!

Another burnt lunch. Dont bother with this place. Go spend your money elsewhere. Like how hard is it to toast a bagel without burning it and making sure a coffee is full shouldnt be hard either but i got a coffee that wasn't quite full. 3rd time now in a row. I want my money back as it had rotton lettuce on it too not just wilted. Rotten...... Thought idd give it another chance and was very disappointed. Not impressed. Going to start boycotting tummies even if im in a rush to work.... This is pathetic that a toaster that's automatic can't even be used right. You fell short in every aspect of the experience including the response to my initial review. I shouldnt have to go to a website to have things like a survey to fill out. I should just be told to come back for my refund since I had to throw out my lunch because the lettuce was rotten and if that is and it had been sitting in it inside a fridge at work who knows how much other stuff is rotten. I didn't wanna risk food poisoning. If you want me to change the review which it seems like you dont care judging by the others for this location actually do something instead of pushing me towards fighting with your corporate web page (basicly ignoring me)

If I could give a 0 I would. It is my sons birthday I wanted to treat him, then when I open the timbits box there is 2 of them looks like someone bit it already… then taste very old, then they advertise stuff on their screen while waiting in line so I order them but they say coffee not ready, I order a different one they don’t have it… they didn’t even offer an alternate or something, just rushing and making me feel like a fool that why did I ask for my orders … And this was 8:30 in the morning. Like come on.. I DONT RECOMEND TO COME TO THIS PLACE AT ALL AVOID IT AT ALL COST!!!!

Ordered a blackberry yuzu & sausage and egg muffin. Came extremely fast, and tasted good. Interior wasn’t the cleanest. Quick meal if you’re planning on hopping the bus, though.

We waited in a 3 person line up for over 5 minutes. It was 10 to 11. We wanted breakfast. Sorry we are out of scrambled eggs. It is too close to lunch to make more. But the lunch menu was not up for another 10 min. So pick something else off breakfast. BLT Bagel.. it was dry. No mayo, my egg was cold. Yuck.

Service is a joke here . If they employed a hamster maybe he can still be faster then those lazy employees. Don’t know why would someone hire people who don’t even care. Full of bees , dirty floor. And when it comes to pre- order, they will only start it once you ask them about it no matter how early you booked or ordered for.
Himanshu M — Google review
The Tim Hortons near the Thompson hotel states online that it's open 5am-10pm - drive thru 5am - 11 however when we went at 8:50pm it was closed and no sign of drive thru service. Also, when I walked over the following morning at 6am it was closed for inside service and being as I was on foot was told I could not use drive thru window even though there were absolutely no cars on the property never mind the drive thru. The only nice thing I can say was that the employee who gestured that I could not use drive thru had a lovely smile.

Staff need more training, food quality is poor and I'm pretty sure no one washes their hands nearly enough. Many of the staff have poor communication skills and it is very apparent they don't care about quality control. The lobby is usually gross.

Park
Nestled in the heart of Kamloops, British Columbia, McArthur Island Park is a sprawling green oasis that beckons both locals and travelers to indulge in outdoor activities. Spanning over 51 hectares on McArthur Island along the North Thompson River, this park is a vibrant hub for sports enthusiasts and families alike. With its well-maintained baseball and soccer fields, as well as a skate park for thrill-seekers, there's no shortage of ways to stay active.
All parks should be 5 ⭐️ especially this one. Absolutely beautiful park on an island on the Thompson River. Great paved trail that completely circles the entire park. It’s about 3 km. There is lots of parking available and public washrooms also. Lots of green spaces. Lots of benches but no picnic tables. The park supports multiple sports ⚽️ ⚾️🏒🏏🛹🚴‍♂️🥏 also mini golf. Lots of wildlife 🦆🪿🦉🦇🐿️

Beautiful park for baseball and other activities. As we were there for a baseball tournament (considered an "event") so we were allowed to camp there at a cost of $16.50/night. Lovely facilities with a beautiful 3.2km path along the perimeter of the island. Washrooms and garbage kept up nicely.
Erin P — Google review
It's an island not a park. The design of the park is good. There are a few big sport fields around the road. If you are a visitor, you may drive a little half round of this island. There are many parking and washroom along the road. We go there in the late evening so we didn't see any wild life. If you have time, I think there are a good trail goes around the whole island. I see people using bikes to stroll around. It may take some time for a round stroll.

Great location for sports. We've attended the BC youth rugby 7s tournament here the last 4 years. Super jealous that Kelowna doesn't have anything comparable. No wonder they call themselves the tournament capital! Good job, Kamloops:)

This park’s a full-on activity hub. You’ve got soccer fields, baseball diamonds, a skatepark, disc golf, and even a big indoor sports centre. I liked the 3.1 km paved loop — great for walking or rollerblading, and it passes through some peaceful riparian areas with birdwatching spots. It’s family-friendly and well-maintained, with lots of free parking. Downsides? No dogs allowed, which might be a dealbreaker for some, and it can feel a bit too busy during tournaments or summer weekends. Some areas could use more shade or seating. Still, it’s one of the most versatile parks in town.

One of our go to's for celebrations over the years. 🎂🍕🥤 Pleasant area with a vibrant hue of green, and nice and cool in the shade. The sound of the kids in the splash pool is a delight! As is the on-site security. 😉😉 Happy belated Fathet's Day to my favourie Ogre.

Went for breakfast this morning and was it ever good! Not only is this spacious - yet cozy- restaurant one of the only places open at 930am on a Sunday, but everything is made from scratch and beautifully presented! Service was exceptional as well. Thank you Channa! Photos are Eggs Benny and French toast.

It wasn't chances its self but the restaurant inside. My ma and I ordered a dinner slab of.ribs and half a chicken and it was disgusting no spices on the chicken or sauce over cooked and wasn't a half of a chicken either wasn't worth ordering and the service I give props to the bartender I feel him he was swamped he was busier then the waitresses. And he definitely made up for the lack of services but again not his fault... management you were standing right there and you could of helped a lending hand so shame on you. Hopefully next time it'll be better

Food took 40 minutes at 215pm. I was hungry and upset I’ll admit. But only after the steak and fries showed up cold, not warm, but cold. I just couldn’t wait for a second round of that so I declined their offer to “rush” a second steak since that’s still 20 more minutes. Kids ate theirs and we were off. Staff could not have cared less so we paid the bill and left. They were courteous enough to remove the dinner from the bill which nice since I didn’t eat it. Left feeling like I should have done more myself somehow

Ordered a skip meal, seafood linguine, received no cream sauce, but it was incredibly oily. Got 2 shrimp, 2 mussels, and the shredded salmon. When i first started ordering this dish you would get 4-5 shrimp, 4 mussels and 4 decently sized pieces of salmon, and a decent portion of pasta with good sauce. Today i received a meal not worthy of the name seafood pasta. No flavour, no sauce, small amount of seafood. Hopefully next time you do better. Editted: ordered meal at 223pm received at around 245pm, at 1235am, 9 hours later, i was violently ill with food poisoning. Looking back the shells on the mussels were cracked open. Im now concerned that the mussels were not fit for serving. I will be contacting the casino immediatly in the morning.

While appreciating the ambiance and thought-out lighting, a drink is served. This particular beverage has been ordered numerous times from different establishments, often leading to disappointment. The seemingly grumpy server takes note of the order and leaves abruptly. Dinner arrives beautifully presented, but with an incorrect side dish and an undesired ingredient. However, none of these mishaps seem to matter as I am content with my delicious meal and perfectly crafted drink. The experience at BARSIDE Lounge & Grill was fantastic!
The pasta I ordered was very delicious! Every time I dine in at Barside, I am satisfied to the fullest. The food, the service and the ambiance is just great! Highly recommend!

Barside is undoubtedly the best restaurant on the North Shore. My personal favorite is the Chicken Souvlaki. They offer it with two skewers and it’s a complete meal along with yummy lemon potatoes. Their Liver and Onions on Friday nights is also one of their best dish and probably the only restaurant offering this delicacy in town. Barside is a must try anyday!

Have been coming here for years, and always loved it! My past few visits the staff have really been outstanding, it makes me love it even more. The host that’s been there the last few times (younger man) is extremely friendly and welcoming, he always puts a smile on my face. My most recent visit, our server was so incredibly polite and outgoing, without being over bearing. I will continue to come here because of the awesome food and friendly staff!

Take your Chances at Barside Lounge and Grill Went to Barside Lounge and Grill finally. It was pretty good, but not what I was expecting for a Red Seal Chef. I think he/she was off shift maybe. The flatbread looked awesome. Lots of yummy toppings and good height but cold in the middle. Wings were on special. We asked about the Extreme heat wings and decided to try them. They were so hot we couldn't eat them. 🤷 I had the fish n chips and they were good. Excess of panko batter and a touch overdone, but light and flaky fish inside. The casino environment is not my thing so I felt like I was in jail trying to find the restaurant. Not good signage. 🤷 Service was decent. Since I've heard people rave about this place, I will go back to see if my experience was an anomaly.
Shawna L — Google review
It was busy when we arrived 6:45 on a Wednesday night, but there were 3 empty tables (2 by the window and 1 in the middle of the restaurant). After waiting to be seated, for more than 5 minutes, the server came to seat us. She became quite rude, when we requested a table by the window, as she told us that those hadn't been wiped yet. We told her that was okay, we would wait until one was wiped down. She then responded in a rude tone "Well you will have to wait then, we are slammed!" We had already stated that we didn't mind waiting for it to be cleaned, as we could see it was busy. Then she disappeared somewhere. There was no need for her to be rude. As we waited another 5 minutes, still there was no sign of any staff cleaning the table, another couple was leaving the restaurant (before eating), because they said they had been waiting for their food to come for over an hour, and could not wait any longer. We decided, at that point to leave and went somewhere else, where the food was awesomecand the server was also. It was a disappointing first experience at the Barside Lounge!

This food establishment is in the casino. Went to order and no one was at the counter. Had to find a server on the floor to help us and he took us to the restaurant. Told somebody would be right with us; felt like we were an inconvenience to them. When we did get to order, we had no menus, no descriptions and no prices to go by. We got a roast beef sandwich and a side of fries as a hot dog was $6.00. Roast beef sandwich is made with multigrain bread, lettuce and tomato; would never had ordered this. Definitely was not worth the money we spent on it.

Getting served raw chicken is inexcusable. My best-friend and I ate here last night for dinner. I cut my chicken burger in half and ate half of it, and took the other half home for later. Once I got home I realized the chicken burger was raw. I am currently 8 months pregnant which caused me some concern. At 3am last night I ended up getting super sick and have gotten sick multiple times through the day. I called the restaurant 3 times in hopes to speak to a manager to let them know. I was not mad, I just felt I needed to let them know what had happened so this does not happen again. I have left 2 messages and the manager nor anyone has returned my calls. I had zero intentions to post a review as I had hoped that someone would return my call and keep this in house, however I’m Very disappointed. Thanks for the food poisoning while pregnant and the great concern for follow-up. 👌🏽

Yew Street Food Hall in Kamloops offers a unique culinary experience, bringing together a variety of locally-owned restaurants in one location. The industrial-style interior with open ceilings and wood tables creates a great atmosphere for enjoying artisanal and niche restaurant concepts. With options ranging from wildfire pizzas to tacos, vegan dishes to pulled pork sandwiches, there's something for everyone. Additionally, the food hall features a coffee bar and a liquor bar, offering craft cocktails and beer.
Glorious place to go for lunch. Was recommended by another local and they truly delivered. A licensed place as well that has a regular rotating tap from several microbreweries in the area. As well, the food was fantastic. Off the cuff they have tacos, Vietnamese, burgers,Korean chicken, and 2 others that I can't remember offhand. The Korean chicken was excellent. They also have live Music and other activities, you get all the best parts of a pub, with several different food styles, Not just pub!

I heard great things about Smashville Burgers and man was i disappointed. The tots were delicious though. The burger was tasteless and not even a smash burger. What a fantastic spot to sample a variety of cuisines! Today, we tried Hue spicy soup and bahn mi with BBQ pork from Vietnam stall, followed by coffee and a muffin for dessert. There are numerous stalls, including Korean fried chicken, Burger Bar, Taco Valley, Pizza, and a brewery. An amazing place to hang out with incredible food! 🍜🥪☕🧁

I had Vietnamese at the Food Hall. Taste was quite good and price was fine - if it were line with portion size. I've been eating vermicelli dishes for 25 years so I feel my opinion is fair and educated. I found the portion quite small. After eating here, I found another restaurant and ate there (as well). The vermicelli was enjoyable but only had noodles, lettuce and bean sprouts... and the protein. There was no carrots, cucumbers, or mint. The noodle portion was size of small handful. Please see picture. If they want to charge appropriately $20 (including tax), then they need to add more/ additional ingredients. I would not eat here again because its not suffice and I can get more value for my dollar elsewhere.

Overall what an awesome place to go for all the family. Recommended for everyone.

Hubby and I tried for the first time today. I had Greek and he had pizza. The pizza was well priced and likely the most flavourful he’s had in a while. (5/5)for pizza! I had the lamb souvlaki wrap. Though it was delicious… at $18 it was more than I will pay again as there were no fries or even Greek salad for a side (2/5). Customer service was great for both of us.

A&W Canada is a delightful fast-food chain that offers a nostalgic dining experience with its signature root beer, alongside a menu featuring burgers, chicken, and fries. This BC-based establishment prides itself on friendly service and quality food sourced from Canadian suppliers. Patrons often rave about the welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of the classic TV show "Cheers," where staff members know their customers by name. The team at A&W Canada is dedicated to providing efficient service while maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant.
Had a great experience. Far superior to American fast food. Breakfast was reasonable priced and served with drinks in glasses and real utensils. Reminded me of America in the 80s and 90s which is a compliment.

2 orders in a row, burgers ordered are teen burgers, and this time we added an order of chicken strips. Both times no teen sauce and no mustard on the teen burgers--mayo only. The classic taste of the teen burger was completely missing. At least this time the mayo was manageable. The order before the burger was drowning in mayo. Sadly one of the burgers was extremely greasy--to the point the bun was soggy. Also the chicken strips were really gross. Tasted like they had been microwaved or sat under the heat lamp for a few hours. The service as always was great, but because of the food quality we're going to stop spending money here. Maybe we'll try again in a few months if we see better reviews.

Went for breakfast at around 8 on Monday morning. 1 person looking after drive-thru and inside when we ordered so pretty chaotic. I got 2 sausage muffins with cheese and I could only eat a few bites. Wife had a bacon and egger. Not hot at all and in both cases the cheddar cheese just ruined them - go back to processed cheese! Coffee was terrible and the tea was ordered with milk but came with cream. Not drinkable. Hash browns are super greasy. After trying different locations and different meals we won't be coming back to A&W.

What happened A&W, we use to have our food and drinks brought to us, now wait in line for it. Its not as good as I remember. The root beer is still the fantastic same. I thinking twice if I want to return.

Ordered poutine at drive thru on July 14 at 7:18 pm Was asked to pull to the side as there was wait on the order. Opened the box and found the quantity that was 1/4th of the regular quantity. Didn’t had energy to go back and complain about it. Utterly disappointed

What a super team providing amazing service! Kaleb, Hannah, Hailey, and William are all very friendly and provided fast efficient service. When not serving customers they all stayed busy making sure that the the restaurant was clean. Thanks for the great.

Wonderful staff - we went for breakfast in the morning on a weekday in the middle of the week and we were served by a wonderful lady (no visible name tag so can’t say her name) but she was very friendly ! The food is good — And since A&W is a BC based chain, we went there for breakfast - let’s encourage Canadian businesses even fast-food chains instead of McDonald’s !!! 5 stars wonderful! PS : to management / franchise owner : please allow the tip option when paying by card !!!!

A&W Coquitlam offers a satisfying experience for vegetarians, highlighted by their flavorful Masala Veggie Burger, which features a crispy patty made from a blend of vegetables and Nanak paneer, topped with spicy piri-piri sauce and fresh lettuce. This burger brings a unique South Asian-inspired twist to fast food, making it a standout vegetarian choice. Additionally, the Beyond Burger is available, providing a meaty texture and rich flavor that appeals to vegetarians and vegans alike, though it’s cooked on the same grill as meat, so cross-contact is possible. The staff at A&W Coquitlam are friendly and efficient, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. For sides, options like French fries, sweet potato fries, and hash browns can complement your meal, but it’s best to confirm preparation methods for vegan preferences. Overall, A&W Coquitlam is a reliable spot for tasty vegetarian fast food with attentive service.
