Zoos
BC Wildlife Park is a spacious zoo and rehabilitation center that houses a wide variety of animals native to British Columbia. The park is home to over 60 species, including grizzly bears, arctic wolves, black bears, bobcats, coyotes, and cougars. Many of these animals were orphaned or rescued. In addition to the diverse wildlife, the park features a gallery, educational exhibits, a Wildlife Education Center, gift shop, cafe, and outdoor playground.
The BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops is a truly special place that leaves you with a full heart. It’s more than just a zoo — it’s a rescue and rehabilitation center for animals native to British Columbia. Over 60% of the animals here have been rescued, and the park does an incredible job of educating and connecting people to wildlife and nature. You’ll see grizzly bears, arctic wolves, cougars, birds of prey, and more. There’s also a picnic area, a small water park for kids, a mini train ride, a gift shop, café, amphitheatre, and a petting zoo. It’s spacious, well-organized, and a perfect place for families or anyone who cares about animals and the environment. Highly recommended!

Visited in September. BC Wildlife Park was a sweet and memorable stop. Loved seeing the rescued animals—they looked safe and well cared for, which was really heartwarming. Owl Talk was a definite highlight! Getting up close to such a beautiful bird was amazing. The observation hive was super cool too. The spirit bear is the standout, but no luck spotting it this time. Still, a lovely visit overall.
Amy W — Google review
We had such an amazing time at BC Wildlife Park. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Unfortunately, we missed the train ride, but there was still so much to see and enjoy. The park is very family-friendly, with great facilities for all ages. One highlight for me was seeing the cougar laying right at the gate, such a beautiful moment! Also, I absolutely loved the honey in the gift shop definitely worth picking up a jar.
Katie N — Google review
We absolutely love the place. They only have rescued animals and the have signs telling you the story of each animal plus really interesting facts about that animal species. We went in a hot sunny summer day so recommend to bring a hat and a ton of sun screen. The splash zone they have was a blast that gave us some relief from the hot weather. We were able to see so many animals (recommend checking the feeding schedule), we love the bears they have in particular the white one which is only found in BC. They have some timings for you to go a pet some goats and sheep they have, they even provide brushes which are like a spa for the animals, they love to be pet and are super friendly and cute
Carolina J — Google review
A bit disappointed by the facilities. Needs renovations. The train 🚂 was not running unfortunately. Off season prices too expensive. When we arrived at 10:30am there was almost no animals out it felt very strange, like an abandoned old zoo. Later on we saw more but some of the cages were not looking very clean. The birds section was great. It is nice to have the story of the rescue of each animal. They definitely should replace most of the fences by glasses. Not that much of “wild” animal.
Lou L — Google review
Visited BC Wildlife Park on Canada Day, and despite the hot weather, we had a wonderful time. We got to see a variety of animals, including the bear, which was a highlight. Though not as many animals as you'd expect from a zoo since this is wildlife refuge. The little train ride was a fun and relaxing way to explore the park, especially for kids. One of the best features on a hot day was the water sprinklers, the kids had a blast cooling off and running through them. The park is well laid out with shaded areas and great for families. A fun, educational, and refreshing day out, highly recommended!
Jas S — Google review
This is such an extraordinary place to go. There's a vast amount of things to learn, and Animals to see. It took about an hour to walk around the park, but was very easy for me even with a bad hip. The grizzlys were super interactive as well. Definitely worth the drive. I'll be coming back with my kids.
Paige D — Google review
We visited late on a hot July afternoon and only had 1.5 hrs to tour. As expected, it was hit and miss with seeing the animals in their enclosures, and at that time of day we had the park pretty much to ourselves. That said, everything appeared to be well laid out, well signed, and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the birds of prey exhibit, and noted there is a family farm where visitors can interact with farm animals. Judging from the sandwich board sign of the day’s activities it is better to arrive in the morning to take advantage of feedings and demonstrations.

Park
Kenna Cartwright Nature Park is a vast, year-round park with picturesque trails suitable for hiking, cycling, and snowshoeing. It boasts over 40 kilometers of gentle paths and is the largest municipal park in the province. The park offers a variety of trails, from easy to challenging, including wheelchair-accessible options. One of its highlights is the Tower Trail, a family-friendly 3.4-kilometer hike with stunning city views from a viewing platform at the top.
Trail is well maintain! Our dog love it. We walked in black diamond trail and its doable if you walked alot before. Nice view in the top! Free parking, toilet pit in the area, there is a bike repair station near in the parking lot. There is a lot of trail in the area too.
Adette B — Google review
There are quite a few trails here. Most are steep so be ready to go up. The view from the top was great and I felt a good sense of accomplishment when I made it up. We took the main viewpoint trail. It took about 1 hour to go up, hang out a bit at the top, then go down. I would not take my kids. They would have complained a lot. It is all up! There was parking, it was easy to find, there was a bathroom and garbage can at the base of the trail and this was a good trail to try if you are looking for a good little hike and aren’t from town - it was easy to find and it is well marked, you won’t get lost.
Lyndsay A — Google review
A great walk with stunning views. You can choose your difficulty level. Watch out for trail bikes coming down. Easiest way was to park off hillside. Beautiful views.
Kimberly C — Google review
Lovely short and quiet hike. Trail was well kept. You get beautiful views of the town & the surrounding mountains. If you have time to spare, definitely come explore this place. Tower trail goes straight up btw.
Raheel K — Google review
Some very challenging hiking trails. Make sure you bring loads of water and a wide brimmed hat, because shade can be scarce. Some parts of the trail were quiet, mostly you could hear the highways.
Cam M — Google review
Kenna Cartwright Nature Park is a gem for anyone into hiking, biking, or just soaking up views. The trail network is huge, with options for all skill levels, and the scenery — especially at sunset — is unreal. You get panoramic views of Kamloops, the rivers, and even Kamloops Lake from some spots. It’s dog-friendly too, which is a bonus. Downsides? Some trails are poorly marked, so it’s easy to get turned around if you’re new. Also, parts of the park are pretty exposed, so bring water and sun protection. Still, it’s one of the best places in Kamloops to get outside and feel like you’re miles away from the city.
Riya S — Google review
This is the place to hike if you want an all-encompassing view of Kamloops from above. The trail doubles as a service road to the cellular towers on top of the mountain. Thus it is wide, smooth, and impossible to veer off course. The trail is very short but the gradient is steep all the way up the mountain. It's a hike that promises great rewards for little time and effort. Highly recommended.
Kevin L — Google review
Lots of trails to choose from, beautiful views. Glad I decided to try it out!

The Kamloops Art Gallery, located in British Columbia, boasts a remarkable permanent collection of over 3,000 pieces that showcase the region's history. For more than 40 years, this gallery has been a vibrant hub for art enthusiasts, offering captivating exhibitions featuring emerging and established Canadian artists. Through its diverse publications, engaging programs, and thought-provoking exhibitions like 'Art in Isolation: How Connect through Art,' the gallery provides a transformative experience for visitors of all ages.
I was visiting during my holidays, and had the most wonderful experience at the Kamloops Art Gallery. Not only did the manager engage in conversation with me, the rest of the staff were amazing and knowledgeable. Everyone was so friendly. The exhibits were well-organized, and helped inspire my next few art projects. Definitely recommend.

High quality gallery experience!! Loved the space and they always have beautiful exhibitions. All staff are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The gift shop is also a true gem - excellent variety and desirable products!
Mahlayah O — Google review
I was glad I took the time to go look around at their gallery. A lot of the artwork stood out from what I saw at other galleries. They had a lot of miniature sculptures, artbooks and pop-up art that is influenced by horror movies and obscured pop culture. The Kamloops Art Gallery is worth the $5 admission to see what they have on display and appreciate their work.

Terrible first experience ordering online from Kamloops Art Gallery. This item was mailed without any packing material to protect it in transit. The shipping box is intact. The item appears to have been packaged damaged. The return policy online states that they will gladly exchange a defective item. However, I've been informed that they do not extend this courtesy to sale items. It's inexcusable to package items so poorly and then pass the buck onto the customer, terribly disappointed.

Posting April 2018. Currently there is an interactive exhibit, where you go in and draw a floor plan of any place you've lived in before, from memory only. There is a few couches in the back and a record player with a few LPs to listen to. A few books too. Thursdays are always free to the public, I will be bringing in my records every Thursday to listen and enjoy the art for the next few weeks.......

A small gallery space but with interesting exhibitions.

I went to the gallery to participate in one of the adult art workshops based on Kigusiuq’s Landscapes (one of the current exhibits). The art class included a tour with one of the staff members before the class. The art class was a great way to engage in the exhibit, and I had a lot of fun learning and creating. Jyelle (the workshop instructor) was a fantastic host. Definitely looking forward to participating in more of these workshops in the future!

Restaurant
Mittz Kitchen is a relaxed dining spot in Kamloops, founded by local brothers Steve and Jeff Mitton along with Chef Dave Rempel. The restaurant offers a blend of casual comfort and upscale elegance, serving Canadian cuisine with global influences using local ingredients. The atmosphere reflects the owners' light humor and fun spirit. Signature dishes include panko-crusted Sablefish, braised Short Ribs, and the popular grilled Mittz burger.
The restaurant features a small outdoor patio in the front. Upon entering the main entrance is a small bar and reception area. The main dining room is good size featuring booth seating. The washrooms are located upstairs. They offer an assesable washroom on the main floor. The staff are friendly and pleasant. The food was very good.
Sally R — Google review
After a friend’s recommendation, my wife and I decided to try Mitz Kitchen for our anniversary, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. Right from the start, the service felt off — the staff looked exhausted, we had to ask just to get a glass of water, and there was no small talk or even a check-in about how the food was. As for the food, it was disappointing. Everything was overly greasy, even the pasta. The fries tasted like they’d been refried multiple times and were extremely oily and poor quality. My burger came out soggy and lacked any freshness. The only positives were the ambience, drinks, which were actually quite good, and the whipped feta. Unfortunately, the mains were far below the standard we expected. I was waiting for the server to ask how the food was while paying the bill to give a feedback but again she never asked

Had an amazing dinner tonight — the short ribs were absolutely delicious, perfectly paired with a local Monte Creek “Hands Up Red” from Kamloops, BC. Highly recommend this place for dinner - the chefs cook beautifully. And a special thanks to Rosemary for her great recommendations on both the dish and the wine!

Excellent service & food. Very clean and tidy, nothing sticky. All the food we ordered was fantastic. A must try place.
Anthony S — Google review
Food, drinks and service were all top notch. Fresh homemade pasta, the potato crusted fish on risotto was superb. We were there on a busy Friday night and no complaints. Good wines by the glass selection too. Sound level was better than most restaurants. Music was great, but you could still talk without yelling.
Launa M — Google review
Portions are on the smaller size, but right for us being smaller eaters. The peppercorn sauce on the NY steak sadly tasted a little funny... like eating a sea water rinsed steak. I can't describe the taste, but it was much better after I scraped the sauce off the steak so there must have been an ingredient I didn't like in the sauce. The risotto was delicious!

We needed to try a new place to eat in kamloops and when I looked it up on Google it had a variety of meals, the kids tried something new and loved it and there homemade ice sandwiches looked amazing and kids said they loved it. Was a great place to eat, and the server(Klara)was amazing.

Wineries & Vineyards
Privato Vineyard & Winery is a family-run boutique winery located in the heart of BC's Thompson River Valley, specializing in producing top Burgundian-style wines. The name 'Privato' reflects the private and idyllic setting of this vineyard. They focus on small-batch production, with a selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Visitors can enjoy their award-winning wines at the intimate tasting room and lawns, while taking in the serene ambiance.
We had our wedding ceremony at Privato, and we could not recommend it more! The venue is beautiful, with lush gardens of flowers, beautiful buildings, trees, and more. The staff were easy to work with and quick to respond to emails! They had a room that we used to get into our dresses and a space away from the ceremony/guest location for my husband and I to have a private “first look” and exchange personal vows. All of our photos turned out so beautiful, and it is mostly thanks to this incredible venue! They allowed us to stay in the gardens after our ceremony to take photos with family and the wedding party. They even let our 2 dogs be a part of the ceremony and photos! Privato provided wine barrels for us to use as/for decorations, and they closed the garden area to the public for the entire day on our wedding day. We were allowed to have a full rehearsal and set up our chairs, archway, and decorations the day before. We also dropped our artificial bouquets and all dresses off to hang up in the locked room that day, which took a huge stress off our shoulders for the wedding day! So many guests complimented the venue and couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was. I have included some photos from the day at Privato. We would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Privato Winery & Woodward Cider Co. Had to be a Kamloops visit destination while I was in the area. They have comfortable outside and a rustic inside seating to enjoy the offerings. Skilled and informative staff are happy to describe everything as well. I was informed of the great seasonal events they have.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Privato Winery. Mackenzi and Candace were amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable, and they made the wine and cider tasting such an enjoyable experience. We felt welcomed the entire time and truly appreciated how well they explained everything. Would definitely recommend!
Manuella M — Google review
Great destination for fall fun and fine wine! The environment is absolutely gorgeous, and the pumpkin patch is always a lovely tradition. While the cider wasn't a hit, the wine is superb. It was a bonus to have a great vendor on site to eat, making it easy pair and enjoy a glass of wine or cider right before or after picking our pumpkins. We'll be back for the wine and the views!
Tatiana P — Google review
I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to the amazing team at Privato Winery. I had bought a Mother’s Day tasting for my mum and me through their website, but a few days before, I saw a woman selling a gift basket on Facebook Marketplace. I thought I scored a deal—but unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam. The confirmation number she gave me wasn’t even close to the real ones Privato uses… So annoying but my own fault. Sidney and Catalina were nothing but kind and patient. They looked at the message I got and told me they think I had been scammed. And here’s where they completely blew me away: instead of turning us away (which they honestly could have done, because none of this was their fault), they rallied together and helped us. They put together a basket for us right there on the spot and turned what could’ve been a disappointing afternoon into something really special. The wine was incredible, the ciders were so good, the charcuterie was delicious, and the entertainment was just the cherry on top. But more than that, it was the kindness of the people that made the day perfect. Thank you Sidney, Catalina, and everyone at Privato. You went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful. You gave my mum and me a beautiful memory we’ll never forget.

Experience indoor rock climbing at Cliffside Climbing Gym in Kamloops, where you can explore their diverse range of climbing walls and bouldering areas. This is an ideal activity for rainy or snowy days in the area. Visitors were impressed by the friendly staff who even provided free stickers. Despite its smaller size, the gym maximizes its space well and offers a good variety of graded problems to tackle. There is also an additional section accessed by ladder for added excitement.
Came here as visiting climbers and we were both sufficiently impressed! The lady who checked us in was super friendly and even gave me free stickers (always a win). Not the biggest space, but they do a lot with it and we felt it was fairly priced. The grading seemed good and there was plenty to go at in terms of variation in types of problems, and had an extra section up a ladder which was cool! Overall would definitely visit again if we were in the area. Only drawback was no air con, however we were there on a 30+ degree day and it didn't feel unreasonably hot at any point.

Farmers' market
The Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market is a beloved spot among locals and visitors alike, offering an array of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, and more. With a history spanning over 40 years, the market has grown to feature numerous vendors showcasing everything from art and jewelry to organic treats and locally distilled spirits. Families can enjoy activities for kids while browsing through a diverse selection of items for sale. The market also hosts live performances on occasion, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
This is must visit and see for both locals and visitors. So many great stalls. Lots of options. Great fun, lots of parking close by. There is some one to even look after your bike. Great fun for all ages.

A great Kamloops experience. So many vendors; bakery, preserves, meats, vegetables, ciders, jewelry, clothing and much more. With live music you can stop and browse one of the many vendors tents.
A.J. C — Google review
Massive selection of local produce, baked goods, honey, liquor and meat. Also activities and games for the kids as well as vendors with jewelry, crafts and other goods for sale. There are occasionally performers as well which really make for a great atmosphere. Come here as often as you can and support the local community!
Zee B — Google review
I gave 1 star because I applied as a vendor. I applied right after the applications opened and then was told almost a month later that my product may not be chosen because there was another similar long-term vendor. I understand that, but also it is clear they pick and choose based on old membership, and that really limits new people's ability to even get into these markets and change the vendors year to year. Also, I still have not received a response, which as a farmer is extremely disrespectful. Farmers count on planting crops way before markets open. If I got an answer, a No is fine, then at least I can reassess and find other options. I found this market odd as well, because they said "has to be made within this map area" but when I visited as a patron they had people from Lillooet. Also products have to be "made, baked or grown by the vendor" this was 100% not the case in the craft section at all, lol. Its a good market as a customer, lots of variety, but not to apply as a vendor if you are new or counting on it.
Natural-Know H — Google review
An amazing local market with over 100 Kamloops area vendors. Stop by on Saturday or Wednesday between April and October for an abundance of local fruit, vegetables, jewelry, wine, baking, crafts, soaps, art, fresh and frozen meat and so much more.
Christy D — Google review
The Saturday farmers market is awesome. This market punches above it's weight in terms of size and vendor variety. I had a few friends in from Vancouver who were surprised at the size and quality of the market considering Kamloops isn't a major city. In recent years, they've expanded to an additional small parking lot off 2nd Street as well. We walk down most Saturdays to get seasonal veg. Beyond vegetables and fruit, there are also many artisan crafts and other wares. The donut/coffee stand and the smokie stand are usually hot commodities too! If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. Great vibes!
Bryson H — Google review
The majority of the vendors are very kind and have delicious foods. However it's unfortunate to see that the prices of all foods and products are incredibly expensive. Unfortunately your better off going to the grocery store for most things. There was a guy selling 12oz hot sauce for over 35$ for just 1 bottle!! Insane!!!!🤯

It’s wonderful hike, with only one incredibly steep section, and fun rock climbs! Amazing views of Kamloops lake, and less views of the bluff actually! Be careful where you park as we parked on glass and nails though.

Spectacular views of Kamloops. Worth visiting. Went with an 11-year-old child; sometimes she feels tired, but in general, it’s an easy hike.
Anastasiya L — Google review
I nice, casual hike just west outside of Kamloops BC is Battle Bluffs overlooking Kamloops Lake. The trails are easy to follow and are marked all the way up. It's a linear trail ( there and back ) but there are offshoots that will take you down to the lake. It's a great place to have a picnic with some great views.
GOKUS — Google review
Awesome Hike! Some places are steep but totally worth the view! 2hours in total for back and forth.
Smy T — Google review
Fantastic hike that's close to home. About a 20-25 minute drive from downtown gets you to the trailhead. The hike itself is about a 1.5 hour trek, but expect a bit more time if you hang out at the top (which you probably will). There is an old car to look at about 1/3 into the hike and the hike itself is fairly light up and downs until it gets to the actual hill/mountain at which point it gets fairly steep for about 1km. Overall a great, moderate and quick hike.

Great place for an afternoon hike located minutes outside town. Great mix of inclines and the trail is well marked. View from the top was absolutely worth it!

Brian is the utmost professional and easy-going person I have ever had the pleasure of inviting into my home. He came in and diagnosed the problem, explained what was wrong in laymen's terms, and walked me through how to prevent the problem in the future. He fit us into his busy schedule, was fast, efficient, and friendly. It's a testament to Brian's knowledge of his craft by how much I learned in such a short interaction with him. I could not recommend Hoodoos Electrical any higher. I will not be calling any other company when I have electrical needs.

Canadian restaurant
Nestled in the historic 1904 Canadian Bank of Commerce building, Brownstone Restaurant is a beloved dining spot in downtown Kamloops. With a seasonal menu that showcases the very best BC products and local beers, this classy establishment offers innovative dishes and house-made rustic bread, cheeses, and charcuterie. The restaurant's garden courtyard provides fresh herbs and salad greens for their culinary creations.
During our recent visit, we enjoyed a satisfying dining experience. We ordered the grilled pork loin chop and the pan-roasted chicken breast—both dishes were excellently prepared. The pork loin was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the chicken breast was tender and flavorful. We finished with the chocolate mousse for dessert, which was a rich and creamy. A perfect end to a great meal. We’ll definitely be returning!

Went for a weekend dinner at Brownstone Restaurant. They're one of the few high end spots in town. Courtyard’s perfect for outdoor dining. Mains are $28.00 to $52.00. - Sangria ($13.00) - Besamé ($13.00) - Prawn ceviche ($17.00) - tiny portion - Smoked duck breast ($35.00) - excellent polenta. Cherry fig complimented the duck - Elk osso buco ($39.00) - special of the night. Elk was dry, scallop potatoes were delicious - Herb crusted Pacific red snapper ($31.00) - flaky and moist. Enjoyed the chive risotto, variety of veg (carrots, asparagus, red pepper) - Cioppino ($30.00)

A good restaurant with good service. Some exceptional dishes and some misses. Service was great from some and mid from others. We had a variety of dishes - the rabbit spanakopita was great, the pork chop also great. The paella was sort of paella. The steak was a chewy mess. Cocktails were also hit and miss. Certainly missing the details for a premium priced establishment.
John W — Google review
Been to this restaurant twice, once in 2023 and once in 2025, I'll have to say the food in 2023 was better. This time the lamp was overcooked and the seafood dish came out somewhat cold. Service was good as always, I like their courtyard and the heritage building. Really nice in the summer.
V P — Google review
The Brownstone offers a classic and classy ambiance in the dining room and an imaginative menu with locally sourced ingredients. The wine list features local BC wines. We started with a smoked beetroot salad with a fennel and goat cheese dressing and a spanakopita stuffed with duck and topped with apple slices. Our server was very knowledgeable about the drink and food selections and was always Johnny on the spot. Mains were a mixed seafood stew and salmon served over whipped horseradish potatoes with grilled vegetables. Both were flavorful and delicious. The serving of the seafood stew was HUGE and could easily be shared. I should’ve ordered the regular potatoes because the horseradish potatoes slightly overpowered the salmon.

A great restaurants, wonderful menus, we were going to just have a main course but the starters were too tempting, we had crab cakes and the Rabbit, followed by Salmon by the lamb couscous. Then our waitress brought the dessert menus, we both had the maple Creme brûlée historic. Our waitress was friendly and super helpful. Eat way more than we should have! Thank you Polly at the Rocky Mountaineer for the recommendation . We booked in advance
George B — Google review
Food was good, the salmon dish was a bit bland, while the other red snapper was good. The elk meatballs and potatoes were perfect and highly recommend. Service was good and inside was bit warm inside on a hot day

A group of us attended for my mother's 70th birthday dinner. The service was superb. Our waiter was knowledgeable about both the meal orders and their various flavors and preparation methods as well as the wine and drink pairings. The food was scrumptious and filling and our group was happy with the little nook we were given for a private dining experience. We were a little loud so I do hope we didn't negatively impact the atmosphere for other guests at the establishment. Beyond brilliant experience. Well done.

Restaurant
Nestled in downtown Kamloops, Peter's Pasta is a charming family-owned Italian eatery that has been serving up delectable hand-crafted noodles since 1983. Despite its modest size, the restaurant is a popular spot, often with a line-up or waitlist on weekends. Run by the dynamic husband and wife team of Nicole and Barry, who took over from Nicole's parents, this cozy establishment offers an authentic taste of Italy.
A fan favourite restaurant in town. Has been around a long time, and has a lot of regulars who come periodically. Why? Because the pasta is fantastic and the service is excellent. When we go, we usually share a couple pasta dishes to maximize what we get to try. It's a big menu and would take you a while to get through. Among the fan favourites are the fettuccine Alfredo and the short rib ravioli. While they specialize in pasta, it's worth noting there are a handful of non-pasta options and a gluten-free gnocchi as well. You can't go wrong with anything on this menu! Highly recommend this restaurant.

A gem in Kamloops! We were so hungry after a day in the lake, and found this cute restaurant on Victoria Street. Cozy atmosphere, lots of options in their menu and the staff was super kind. I got the Chicken Mushroom pasta, and husband got the large lasagna. Both were fantastic! Huge portions, amazing flavor and they come with garlic toasts. Highly recommended place!

Working abroad. I have been to Kamloops, B.C. several times in the span of my career. My kid brother resides here. He suggested Peter's Pasta for dinner. I had asked a co worker, also residing in Kamloops the previous evening about this establishment. " A staple of Kamloops, everyone knows & goes there ". Small, yet great ambiance. Had a nice warm vibe. The place was packed. Great personable staff & the food was amazing. This is a pasta restaurant, fresh made. Spinach dip & Ceasar salad to start. And Lamb Ragu for the main. You will not leave hungry here folks. A must if you enjoy fine dining with reasonable prices.

The food here is delicious and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. I had the Butternut Squash Gnocchi made gluten free and without the bacon. The sauce was thick, perfectly flavoured and just the right amount. Our server last night was incredible. (I'm sorry I can't recall her name) Very friendly and knowledgeable about what was safe for me to eat. I felt confident that my food would be safe for me to eat.

You know that perfect Christmas that you had as a kid? And now you’ve been chasing that perfect feeling for the rest of your life? You never have to chase that dragon at Peters Pasta. It’s as good as the first time. Every. Time. I eat there far too much. So much the entire staff knows my order. It is literally the best pasta you will ever taste. Sometimes there is a line to get in. Stand in the line. You will not regret it. I would wait days for this menu.
Hezzy C — Google review
Finally got to try it—and it was worth the wait! I’d been looking forward to visiting Peter’s Pasta for a while, and I finally made it! The food absolutely lived up to the hype—fresh, comforting, and full of flavour. The only thing to note is that the space is quite tight, especially when it’s busy. It can feel a little cramped, but the quality of the food definitely makes up for it. A cozy spot that’s perfect for a casual pasta fix! Wish it was opened for a longer duration tho.

Was there at tail end of dinner rush but was in sooner than expected (shortish wait), lovely atmosphere, good sized 2 person table, good service and food came fast. Delicious food. So disappointing. Was in town for a wedding, decided to end the night at the casino. A couple groups of us went, the second group arrived at 120am. Approached the bar & was told last call was done at 130am. Started ordering for the group, got bounced to a different bartender bc one wanted to cash out, pass on the order and then was told sorry, cant serve you anymore its 130am. It was implied that they wanted to avoid more work for themselves. Tried a couple slot machines after and both smelled like spoiled food. Bizarre experience. Kamloops is cool though.

While playing poker, the dealer made a mistake and gave the turn to one of the guys he knew from before. That player took advantage of being the last to act and raised, even though he should have been the first to check or raise. We noticed the mistake, and the dealer admitted it was his fault, but no one did anything about it. The dealer was also shuffling the cards by hand, which is unusual since other casinos use machines for that. This is the worst casino I’ve ever been to.

Really fabulous, friendly service. Welcomed us as soon as we walked in. Great beer and gin (tried a bunch and all were tasty and nicely done especially the Kamloops Common, Black IPA, Brut IPA and the Kraanbere). Extra marks for the heated dog-friendly patio. David R — Google review
My first time here and the kids first time skiing. I found this place on Google, and the positive reviews do not do this place enough justice. I've been to a handful of ski resorts and skiing locations, but this was one of my best experiences. To start, the staff here were all extremely friendly and accomodating from fitting to tickets to the restaurant. The staff on the lifts were also very helpful with the kids, especially because they were first timers on the slope. The instructor, Cameron, was awesome. Shout out to him as he approaches his 50th year of teaching! The other main reason why we'd come back to Harper was the lack of lines. Whether it was the tow bar or T Bar lifts, there was virtually no wait time which made it that much more fun for everyone. One word of advice for visitors not accustomed to driving on cold or snowy conditions, make sure to check the weather report and bring chains. It snowed the second day, so we had to pull over on the side of the mountain to put on chains. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip early due to an injury, but we may make this an annual thing.

Bright Eye Brewing, located in Kamloops, is not just a craft brewery but also offers an excellent food menu. During special events like Oktoberfest, they serve unique dishes such as ramen made with German beer. Their regular menu includes mouth-watering options like smoked brisket, creole prawn risotto, pork bulgogi Philly melt, and a variety of burgers and pizza.
Food was great! 1) the bright eye burger was great lots of flavour 2) the in house ketchup was amazing one of the highlights of the meal 3) chicken burger: solid 4) brussel sprouts: really tasty but by the end it was way too oily and couldn’t finish them (half order for 2 people)

Incredible food and just the most delicious beers and ciders. Too many to choose from, I just had to have a flight. Had two different seasonal desserts and they were absolutely incredible.

This brewery was recommended to us for their beers and the in house ketchup sauce and boy o boy, it didn't disappoint! We were on our way back from camping at North of Kamloops and we decided to stop here for our lunch before heading back to Vancouver. It's a big space and the interiors are rustic with some modern layout and artwork. The food and beer is excellent. I would have liked to see some more beer options for a brewery. For food, we had sandwiches which were well crafted and were flavourful. I loved the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich is served with a side of crispy fries and the in house ketchup which was absolutely smashing! The only downside to this place was their service. They took more than an hour to get us our sandwiches.

Bright Eye Brewing in Kamloops was a BC Ale Trail destination for me. Separated into two halves it offers a spacious bright seating side and a pub style side with an entertaining arcade games area. Good food and craft beer options.

Bright Eye Brewing is a great local spot that’s best known for its Ota beer, but I decided to try one of their food items instead. I ordered the beef and duck fat sandwich, and it was perfectly cooked. The menu isn’t very large, but that’s understandable since it’s a brewery, and what they do offer is clearly made with care and quality. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back, or just the good vibes. I’ll definitely be returning!

An amazing experience overall, we came for a quick after work drink and food. We were not disappointed. The server was very helpful and knowledgeable in the different beer offerings. She know the notes and what we described we wanted. Would highly reccomend coming here.

Fantastic brewery and restaurant. We are from out of town and were looking for somewhere nice to unwind after a long week of work at a nearby music festival and this place checked all the boxes. The spot came highly recommended online and did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the menu itself had a really nice diverse selection of offerings while still remaining high quality throughout. We were also impressed with the general portion sizes as well. The “cup” of soup we assumed was a small starter was basically a full sized bowl in itself. We had a signature burger with a side of Brussel sprouts along with the artichoke pizza and the cup of ramen noodles to start and it all tasted fantastic. We also each ordered a flight of beers to try out the selection and every option was solid. Sour Drew was my personal fave but the house Pilsner is also excellent. And lastly the service was top notch as well, we didn’t catch our server’s name but she mentioned she was from Quebec and provided us a really lovely experience overall. Will definitely be coming back on future business trips! Tempted to hit it up again before we leave town.

Had an amazing date night at Bright Eye tonight! Service was amazing! Our server was knowledgeable and our food came out less than 12 minutes after we ordered! Bright Eye Brewing blew away our expectations and we will be back again!!!

When you're in the mood for a gourmet pizza experience, Gyldis Pizza Kamloops is the place to be. Since its establishment in 2010, this charming eatery has made a name for itself with its commitment to fresh ingredients and never-frozen dough. The friendly staff ensures that your order is prepared quickly, often right before your eyes. With options like a delightful cornmeal crust and an array of tasty toppings, every bite promises satisfaction.
Amazing pizza! I've heard about this food truck before and it's worthy of the hype. The pizza was hot and fresh and the dough and toppings were perfect. I learned tonight they also have a brick and mortar store which my spouse and I will be visiting from now on. All in all, 10/10 pizza and 10/10 location and customer service. Thank you!

Well... what a treat. I haven't been to Gyldis in ages, and tonight I was craving some chicken Alfredo. So I ordered some up, 25 mins and I picked it up. This meal is outrageous! The noodles are perfect for how I like them (not mushy) the sauce is flavorful and creamy, the chicken is moist and deliscious. The garlic bread pieces are huge. Well done Gyldis, I will be back in the near future!

Absolutely amazing value and flavour! Delicious toppings, and the crust is to die for. Cheese sticks were also delicious, and the house tzatziki is 👌 My favorite local pizza place

This is a "take-out" only place. Very basic, not even a customer washroom while you wait. Pizza is good. A nice alternative to the "brand name" pizza places. They do their wings as oven baked and are nicer than the process style from the other places. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

First time for me and my friend to dine-in. What an amazing experience, very welcoming staff members and the food was very delicious. Sauce options are impressive.

Went here for the first time recently. Ordered a small pizza to go with toppings of my choice. The lady, who was most likely the owner seemed friendly enough. She took my order & made the pizza herself in a matter of minutes....no long wait time at all. Then she personally brought the pizza 🍕 to me. The pizza was made with a cornmeal crust which was tasty and ingredients were good. I really enjoyed it. I would come here again. The service and everything was very satisfactory. I really recommend this pizza place.

Excellent crust! Slightly sweet sauce. I had a simple cheese pizza, but it was amazing! My Mom had the ham and pineapple and was equally impressed. I happened upon this place when I was passing through Kamloops, and would highly recommend anyone craving pizza to stop here. The order online option was great to save time having to sit and wait for the pizza. Pick up was through a window by the door, no issues with COVID distancing.

The Columbia Diner in Kamloops, Canada, offers a warm welcome and a nostalgic dining experience with its honest comfort food and genuine passion. The Dine Around menu features classic share favorites like Dirty Fries and Backyard Caesar, as well as main course options including Smash Burger, Habanero Hot Chicken Burger, and Ultimate Grilled Cheese. Conclude your meal with the delectable Columbia Cheesecake for a sweet ending.
On my way home from Shuswap, I wanted to eat at the Columbia Diner after looking it up for a good rest stop eat. When I got there, it was practically vacant, so I got a table anywhere right away. The restaurant gradually filled up as I waited for my meal. I ordered the Kamloops City Meatloaf with their Cappuccino. The drink was very good with a great emphasis on its creamy smoothness. The meatloaf was piquant with real meaty goodness. The gravy was so delicious and really elevated the whole entrée. The mashed potatoes were great too, and had fantastic consistency from its smoothness and no solid chunks. The green beans were surprisingly good and you could easily tell that they were grilled as well. The restaurant had this nice, clean, retro look to its interior design that adds to its diner quality. The service was great and found the waitress serving me to be very pleasant. Overall, I was very glad to come to the Columbia Diner for lunch and I would highly recommend anyone who is in Kamloops to come to eat there. I hope to come by again someday.

My boyfriend and I were on our way through town and thought the ratings on this cute diner was nice, but we quickly realized after a long wait that we might not get what we’re expecting. Since there was only one other table being served, we thought the service would be quick, but we waited at least 30mins after ordering. The staff was nice but the quality of food was just not to par at all! I wanted a light breakfast and ordered the protein breakfast which was made with liquid scrambled eggs (the waitress told me), 2 meat options and toast (picture attached). I decided to get fruit instead of toast and I’m glad I did because I felt that was the best part of the meal. My boyfriend got the lumberjack breakfast which was overall 2/5 but had real eggs scrambled (because of the option of eggs any style). He did not enjoy the sausages as well. The difference in the eggs was night and day when I tasted his and I didn’t bother finishing mine because they didn’t taste real. We would’ve liked to have the staff check on us after receiving our food as I felt our server just disappeared as we tried to find ketchup which was not provided on the table. Just a little more of a check in would’ve been nice. To finish it off when we paid, the tip option was ridiculous which started at 20% and went up from there. UM NO. For the quality of food, slow service and overall experience, the tip was not worth that much. It’s unfortunate because the design and look of the place is really cute and designed well, but the owners need to make some changes in their kitchen. Looking back, it says something when you’re not busy on a Sunday afternoon at 2:15pm. Hope this review helps to make this place better as it has a lot more potential!

1st time enjoying a meal here, very quick service with a smile in this cute diner, food was very good, definitely will be back to try the desserts next time. I had the poutine, it was really good, crispy Cajun fries with a hint of heat, will have this again for sure, second dish was the finger licken good, fluffy waffles and a tender crispy chicken, definite win as well..

Great stop at Columbia Diner in Kamloops! The Caesar was perfectly garnished and the steak & eggs skillet was hot, fresh, and delicious. Friendly service and a relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!

I’m not saying the food is bad, I’m saying it’s really overpriced. My smash burger which states it comes with spicy curly fries as a side required me to pay an addition $5 for the curly fries and I got the tiniest portion you could imagine. Wild. This is like $3 worth of fries. The burger itself is $21 for a burger…. For a single patty regular burger $21 plus an extra $5 if you want a side?? We also got a chocolate milkshake which cost an astronomical $10 and is half the size of my hand. $1 per gulp. Fooled me once but won’t fool me twice.

Stopped in for dinner with the fam during our stay in Kamloops. We loved the modern well designed dining area with a panoramic view of the mountains. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. Our food was served hot, delicious with a great presentation. Very generous portions for a very reasonable price imo. We enjoyed our dinner so much we came back again for dinner the next night. We will be telling our friends and family about this hidden gem in Kamloops! Highly recommend the mile high pastrami on rye with curly fries and hubby loved the meatloaf!

Sunmore Ginseng, located in Kamloops, is a remarkable destination that beautifully blends Eastern and Western healing practices. With five private suites themed around the elements of Gold, Wood, Fire, Water, and Earth, visitors can indulge in rejuvenating spa packages designed for ultimate relaxation. Many travelers have shared their positive experiences with Sunmore's ginseng products over the years.
Our visit to Sunmore Ginseng on 13 June 2025 was incredibly educational and enriching. As a family of five, we were greeted warmly and started off with a cup of hot ginseng tea. The tour provided so much valuable information that we had never known before. We learned in detail about the anatomy of ginseng plants — the differences between the root and stem, and why the stem is more nutrient dense. The guide explained the effects of various ginseng species, including Korean red ginseng, American ginseng, and Canadian ginseng. It was fascinating to discover how the age of the plant influences its potency, and how slices versus powder only differ in the rate of absorption, not the actual effects. There were also practical tips on choosing products. We found it interesting that Sunmore offers packaging options — simple ones for personal use and more elaborate ones for gifting. The staff even gave us insights into how they ensure product quality through GMP certification. The multiple tasting points throughout the tour made learning even more enjoyable. We sampled dried slices, powder, candy (both original and peppermint), and more tea. It felt less like a shop visit and more like an interactive lesson about ginseng’s history, cultivation, and consumption. For anyone who enjoys learning while travelling, Sunmore Ginseng offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge about an important part of traditional medicine, while also getting hands on experience tasting and selecting high quality products.

Went to this factory as part of a 4 day tour. The young girl who works for Sunmore took our tour through the factory. She was very rude, I was the only European on an Asian tour, she never acknowledged me and spoke in Chinese the whole tour. I was then taken to the other side of the factory and basically, there were pictures on the walls showing the workings of the factory, and these were explained to me in English for about 10minutes. Everyone else got a 30 minute tour. The manager then gave me a piece of paper with information about ginseng on it, in English and was delighted to tell me that she has this in numerous different languages. I was really looking forward to learning about Canadian ginseng, and if my mind serves me correctly, isn't Canada an English speaking country??? I wonder what they would have done if everyone had of been European on the tour!!! Very very disappointed that I was made to feel like I shouldn't have been there.

One of the unexpected highlights of our 13 June 2025 visit to Sunmore Ginseng was the natural environment surrounding the building. Beyond the educational displays inside, there was a small plot where young ginseng plants were grown for demonstration purposes. The place was so interesting that we only left at 4.30pm even though we reached at 2pm. The staff explained that you could estimate a plant’s age by counting its leaves, one leaf for a one year old plant, two leaves for two years, and so on until five. Past that age, the plant maintains five leaves as it grows older. Seeing the plants up close made the learning experience much more tangible. Around the building, we also saw several species of cherry trees in bloom, adding colour and beauty to the grounds. To our delight, we spotted a marmot wandering nearby, which became a fun memory for our family, especially for my younger sisters. Inside, we sampled tea, dried slices, powder, and candy, all while learning about ginseng cultivation and history. The combination of nature, education, and tasting made the visit feel immersive. Although Sunmore’s main farm and factory are located elsewhere, the small outdoor plot and the surrounding greenery give visitors a glimpse of where the ginseng journey begins. If you appreciate nature and want to see more than just a shop, Sunmore is definitely worth a visit.

Our visit to Sunmore Ginseng on 13 June 2025 was one of the highlights of our Kamloops trip. As a family of five, we arrived at 2 hours past noon, and spent about 2.5 hours there. Every part of the experience was enjoyable. We began with a warm welcome and a cup of hot ginseng tea, followed by an informative tour covering ginseng’s history, species differences, and the impact of plant age on potency. We got to sample slices, powder, candy, and more tea throughout. Outside, we explored a small plot of ginseng plants and admired the cherry trees around the building. The real surprise came when we spotted a marmot nearby, a delightful moment that added to the day’s memories. We bought ginseng capsules and slices (CAD 392 total), benefiting from promotions that included extra bottles of capsules, one more box of slices, brown sugar ginseng cubes, and Canadian Ginseng Tea. The staff ensured that our purchases were sealed with an export permit since we were travelling to the US. It was the combination of learning, tasting, shopping, nature, and friendly interactions that made the visit so special. Sunmore Ginseng isn’t just a store but an experience worth making time for when in Kamloops.

Our family of five (father, mother, three daughters) visited Sunmore Ginseng on 13 June 2025 and were struck by how warm and friendly the staff were throughout our stay. We arrived at 2 pm, and before we even entered, a staff member greeted us at the carpark and offered us complimentary hot ginseng tea. The team members were patient, approachable, and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions—about the differences between ginseng species, the effects of plant age, and the best ways to consume ginseng—without ever making us feel pressured to buy. A Taiwanese staff member even had a lovely conversation with my parents in Hokkien, which made them feel comfortable. Her friendliness was one of the highlights of the visit, and it’s rare to find that level of personal connection when shopping. When we decided to buy some products, the staff explained the promotions clearly. We ended up with capsules, slices, and, thanks to the deals, extra brown sugar ginseng cubes and boxes of Canadian Ginseng Tea. They even helped prepare our purchases for export since we were travelling to the US. It was the warmth and sincerity of the staff that made this visit so memorable. We left feeling not just like customers, but like valued guests. Sunmore Ginseng deserves high praise for its genuine hospitality.
Thewintertree — Google review
Sunmore Ginseng impressed us with the sheer variety and quality of products available. When our family of five visited on 13 June 2025, we initially joined the tour out of curiosity, but we quickly realised that the range of items catered to every kind of customer. There were ginseng capsules, dried slices, powders, whole roots, tea, and candy. Many products came in different grades based on the age of the ginseng, 4 year, 5 year, and 6 year roots. We were also pleasantly surprised to see ginseng soap sold by weight (at CAD 0.25 per gram) and jars of ginseng honey. Another thoughtful touch was the packaging options. We could choose plain, practical packaging for personal use or more elaborate gift packaging at additional costs for presents. This flexibility made it easy to shop for different purposes. We bought two twin packs of ginseng capsules, each set came with two large bottles (100 g, 200 capsules each) and a smaller 50 g bottle as part of a promotion. We also purchased two boxes of 150 g slices and received a third box in the deal. Altogether, we spent CAD 392. The ongoing promotions added great value. We brought home extra brown sugar ginseng cubes and Canadian Ginseng Tea (24 sachets per box) as part of the deals. Every product was clearly labelled with Sunmore’s GMP certification, which gave us confidence in their quality. For anyone keen to stock up on ginseng, whether for personal use or as gifts, Sunmore is a fantastic place to shop. The variety, clear labelling, and attractive promotions made our purchases feel worthwhile.

This is a must place to stop by! I visited on 13 June 2025. The staff will provide a free tour and detailed explanation of the origin and cultivation of American Ginseng, followed by explaining their products. There is also free ginseng tea to drink! The company is GMP certified and the ground ginseng powder is micro powder (i.e. fast absorption). Interesting and unique products sold here too. The staff there were super friendly as well, and Emma took care to explain to us a lot of details too 💕 There were also a lot of trees and plants with fruits, for which she offered us to eat them. An awesome experience :)

Visitors can enjoy black light cosmic bowling on weekends, while Sunday nights feature affordable rates for a fun family outing. The venue is popular for group activities such as team building exercises and birthday parties, with clean lanes and friendly staff creating an enjoyable experience.
Friendly, accommodating, good people. Often here once or twice a week with clients. The staff is amazing and we are always warmly welcomed . Can get busy at times so I'd say call for a reservation if you want to go .

This place is everything a bowling alley should be—fun, welcoming, and full of heart. You can tell it’s family-run the second you walk in; the pride and love they put into the business shows in every detail. My two boys light up the second we hit the lanes, and honestly, so do I. It’s the kind of spot that turns a simple night of bowling into a memory. Thanks to the whole crew for keeping the magic alive—can’t wait to come back!

Basically, I am good at entertainment center games. I can spend a whole day earning prizes up to a PS4 or PS5. But, I havent played too often even though I am naturally talented at games. The thing is I told a girl I was with that I would probably win a prize in key master with the amount of money I had. I put in the coins and the staff stopped me dead in my tracks and told me I wasn't allowed to play. I have never even been there before and I have only been to entertainment centers 7 times from before till then. They took my money and it was during a youth group fun event when I was 16. Anyway, I swore at them and kept trying to play. They then grabbed me and told me to leave. I should have just knocked out the staff out then and there. But, I just left.

while my granddaughter was here for a visit we took in the bowling and she loved it! she can be a stickler when it comes to games that are not technology, so when I saw her jump up and scream "yeah!" when she got a strike it was a great feeling!! to see her not care about winning or losing just the challenge of doing better with each turn it was amazing. the staff was great as well so I would recommend getting your young people out of their comfort zone - it really was fun!!

Great lanes. Some of the best I've seen. If you go on Sunday it's $2/game and $2 for shoe rentals. I've gone twice in 2 weeks now. Thanks for an awesome way to spend an evening and being a local go to. I will suggest you as an outing to everyone I can.

Went bowling here, our lane glitched from the start. Pins weren’t counted properly, some never showed up. We waited a bit, tried to figure it out, then told the staff. He “fixed” it but wouldn’t restart the game because we didn’t complain fast enough. When it glitched again, his answer was: “That’s why it’s $5 and not $7.” Oh cool, broken lanes come with a discount! If you don’t care about your score or missing pins, it’s fine. Maybe good for kids. But if you’re expecting a normal game… yeah, maybe pay the extra $2 elsewhere.

Peterson Creek Park is a serene and scenic park with elevated hiking trails that lead to small waterfalls. The 4.8-kilometer Tom Moore Loop Trail offers a moderately difficult hike starting from the south end of downtown, leading to the heart of the 100-hectare park. Families can enjoy picnics, BBQs, and leisurely strolls along the various trails while taking in beautiful viewpoints.
It's a great park in the city to do a quick hike. Some trails are narrow but challenging enough to have an adventure. Specially during the winter, you may need to be extra careful for the slipperyness. There are plenty of viewpoints to see the highway and the beige and the Thompson River valley. The park is accessible from many sides and one of the best views in the city. There are park bench on the top of the mountain.
Hiroshan G — Google review
I came to the park to go to the short hike (round trip 1.4km from the parking lot) and see the small waterfall. The end is slippery and muddy and may not be suitable for small children lots of different trails was able to take different trails there and back and could do it another time and take different ones again. Disappointing people have spray painted the waterfalls rocks. But overall nice. Could have been very icy if not for the nice weather last 2 days so be aware due to the canyon not a lot of sun.
Gr8t O — Google review
Peterson Creek Park deserves a solid 5-star rating for its proximity to downtown Kamloops and its wonderful trail options. Although the parking is limited, the park offers numerous well-marked, winding trails that are perfect for exploring. In the summer, the paths can be a bit dusty, but that doesn’t detract from the experience. The views of Kamloops and the valley from the park are beautiful and truly rewarding. It’s an ideal spot for trail running or just a leisurely hike to enjoy the natural surroundings. A must-visit for both locals and tourists seeking a quick escape into nature.

FUN! I have ALWAYS wanted to hike up in these trails, constantly driving on the Red Bridge looking in awe at the trails & people enjoying, but in all of my years never have until now. I was happy to be able to do so with my family as well. It wasn’t the easiest drive, at least the way google GPS took me, but we got there & tons of parking! We went for the waterfall, so we followed trail markers leading to it. We did ignore the signs of warning & knew the risks. We took the “easiest/safest” route & made it safely to/from. We were not disappointed & I am sure would be greater in size around spring, early summer. Definitely a lovely hike & easily managed by myself, my husband who is seeing impaired & our girls 10 & 12. We took one way to the falls & a different way back. All views lovely & we enjoyed the diversity of the vegetation we walked through. So glad we took the time. From parking lot to falls & back, 1 hour. Well maintained & super tidy. Graffiti is disappointing to see but what can one do. Enjoy your hike, be mindful of dangers & make choices appropriate to your abilities.

Beautiful scenic walk if you are able to hike or cycle on narrow paths...the main paved walking path is great for strollers and sharing the path. Dog friendly but seriously DOG Owners need to be responsible and pick up after their animals... the trail wreaks of dog feces on a warm day

Wow in downtown Kamloops! I have seen this waterfall while driving past on highway many times. I wanted to see it up close and so glad I finally did. There are paths to choose for all hiking abilities but they don't all show the fall. The trails throughout are well used. Take caution as some are very narrow, some steep with loose dirt/gravel or stairs.

This place felt like a hidden gem in Kamloops. We stumbled upon it while driving around town. This park feels like it's in the middle of downtown Kamloops lol. I went here a handful of times after I found it until we moved from Kamloops. It's a very relaxing walk, my little doggo with luxating patella had no struggles going through it and you're rewarded with a little waterfall at the end! :)
Dwagonfwy — Google review
Great trail for family or individual hiking, the trails are categorized into 3 different difficulty depending on inclination. There is also a water fall but it is not part of the trail, you have to walk up a sketchy and kind of dangerous trail but it's worth the walk. The are a lot of entrance to the trail the 2 main ways are from downtown or from sahali secondary.

Went along with our group to Paul Lake for a picnic lunch on the weekend. The weather was beautiful and lake view very scenic. Very clean, well maintained park with picnic tables & outdoor toilets on site. People were kayaking on the lake. Lots of big fir trees that offer shade for picknickers.

Today the water was high and chilly but it is early in the season. The "beach" (grassy area) was packed but there was still ample parking. This is a great little getaway spot just outside of kamloops for picnicing, swimming, paddleboarding, etc. My only gripe is that there can be leeches in the water which like to tag along in the fun sometimes.

Water is a comfortable temperature and beaches are nice. Has lots of grass and some Sandy beach areas. Swimming area has large section of weeds before it opens up so either have to stick to the shallows or swim/float through to an open area. Picnics tables are nice and bathrooms are well kept. Lots of parking and a beautiful view of Gibraltar rock. Avoid the beach trail to campground if not prepared for a steep hike. We did see a couple leaches but had no issues with them. Lots of cool shells in the water and little fishies willing to nibble your toes if you stand still long enough. Definitely want to explore the area more.

Beware of goose poop and potential swimmer's itch (cold shower outside west bathroom). Lots of shallow area for swimming, and loads of minnows for a natural cleansing. Fishing dock on far right, next to boat launch. Paddlers - Watch the wind, it can get quite strong and provide a tough challenge especially if you're not a regular. It is best to go against it at the start and get the free ride home to finish.

Aina Organic Spa is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. With its pristine environment and tranquil ambiance, it feels like a personal retreat where you can unwind completely. Guests rave about the professionalism of the staff, including standout therapists like Brittany and Morgan, who bring their unique touch to each treatment. The spa uses high-quality natural products, such as Eminence organics from Hungary, enhancing the overall pampering experience.
My wife and I have been to Aina Spa a number of times over the years. The ambience and the people working there make this a very enjoyable experience every time. My last massage with Morgan was very relaxing and calming. Morgan is new and is a wonderful addition to the team. She is bubbly yet soothing . . . she makes unwinding very easy. I would recommend her or any of the staff for a pampering.

My partner and I booked the Escape for Two package at Aina Spa in Kamloops, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was incredibly professional and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable and pampered the entire time. The massage was absolutely perfect, soothing, yet effective in relieving tension. The added touches, like aromatherapy and calming music, made it even more special. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and refreshed. If you’re looking for the perfect spa experience for two, Aina Spa is the place to go. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back! (the chocolate cover strawberries were the perfect touch)

I’ve been going to Aina for 12 years. Always fabulous! Beautiful rooms, clean, quiet, professional treatments, good products (Eminence organics from Hungary is the best line out there). Never had a bad facial or massage. This is by far the best spa in Kamloops, and I’ve been to most of them!
Tracy G — Google review
Had the best pedicure EVER in Kamloops at Aina!! So I thought I'd book a facial too.... BEST facial I have ever had! Very impressed with the services I've had so far here. Looking forward to their V.I.P event coming up this month.

I had a wellness massage today with Lori & I haven't felt that relaxed in a very long time. She worked wonders on my tight muscles & provided extra tips for pain management at home. I will definitely be back.

I have been to Aina Organic spa before. It is such a lovely tranquil place. I took my Mom most recently for a pedicure for her birthday. It was such a relaxing atmosphere, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hot stone massage was amazing. I will definitely be back!

I went to Aina for my first ever spa package, and it was absolutely wonderful. The spa itself is very clean, and it was such a serene and relaxing environment. I felt like I had the entire spa to myself, the service provided by all the staff was great. Brittany, who did my services, was very professional and great at what she does. I really liked the brand of products they used, as it was on the natural side of things. Truly an overall wonderful and relaxing experience, 100% going back soon! I would recommend this spa to anyone and everyone!

I did the seasonal facial here and it was one of the best experiences I've had in the city. It was super relaxing and left my skin glowing. Brittany did a wonderful job in making sure my worries were addressed and taken care of. She was very attentive and gentle. I'm definitely coming back here again!

Isagani Farm-to-Table is a recent addition to Kamloops' dining scene, offering a unique take on traditional rustic dishes with an emphasis on fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant also boasts an impressive selection of local brews, custom cocktails, and BC wines to complement the farm-fresh fare. Guests have praised the friendly service and recommended dishes like pot roast and beef tartare served on a potato pave.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The meal was delicious! The quality of the food was very high,(Compliments to chef Walt 😊) the presentation flawless and the service impeccable. Overall, a fantastic experience. Thanks for making our last evening in Nice a truly memorable one.

This cozy restaurant boasts a lovely view and a charming atmosphere. While the menu was limited and some items were unavailable, the herb pork I ordered was exceptional – perfectly seasoned and cooked. The cappuccino afterward was also good. A solid experience overall.
Tatiana P — Google review
Food was absolutely amazing! Ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Waffles from the breakfast menu, and they were incredibly delicious. Definitely a must-try. Waleed made the experience even better with his enthusiasm and fun personality. He was welcoming, attentive, and truly made my friend and I feel special. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the outstanding service!
Tharushie M — Google review
I have been here a few times in the past few months (traveling to Kamloops for work), food is always spot on and service is usually good. Yesterday I visited and from the moment I walked in Waleed was super upbeat, attentive, personable and made the experience just over the top! Joking with people, asking them about themselves and seemingly running the show on his own with 1 cook in the back. I had the Beef&Reef, was fantastic! But the icing on the cake and the reason I’m leaving a review this time is because of the awesome service Waleed provided not only to me but to the other tables. I will definitely go again and hope to see Waleed there!
Dustin S — Google review
Went for breakfast this morning and had the standard eggs Benedict and the west coast eggs Benedict. Both were amazing and the staff were so kind and attentive. Waleed was our server and he did an amazing job! Definitely would recommend.
Brooke B — Google review
Very disappointing breakfast, I was eager to eat avocado toast and it clearly states smashed avocado on the menu, but we were served guacamole. My wife had the rösti menu avocado toast and again the same thing. The server had already apologized that they were out of rösti, but did not mention they were out of avocado. Hers was supposed to come with feta but that was also missing. The menu dictated arugula salad but this ended up being spring mix. We mentioned the avocado to the server, but he did not apologize and just mentioned that the avocado was blended. I highly doubt it as it tasted like any guacamole bought in store. The eggs were poached soft and was the best thing on the plate. I would recommend against going here for breakfast. Edit: the server asked us how it was and we told him that we were quite disappointed. He offered to not charge us, which I appreciate. We didn’t accept and wanted to pay for at least half as our daughter did eat her waffles. In the end we were not charged for any of our food and this was a very kind gesture.
Kornelis K — Google review
Breakfast here was amazing! We are Kamloops locals and love our breakfast dates. Other restaurants in Kamloops can be noisy or poached eggs not quality. Had mango avocado Benny and salmon/caper Benny which were done perfectly. Black coffee was delicious and Waleed the server was friendly and entertaining and personable. Will definitely go back for the food, the service and the view. Wish more locals knew about this place.

Amazing experience today at Zaaz. We booked a Reach for the Sky birthday party in the the Jungle Room, and it was incredible. The room was beautifully decorated and ready for our arrival. Customized to my daughter’s favorite theme, mermaids, it was above and beyond. The food was great, the service was impeccable and all the small touches were so carefully thought out. Then of course the play downstairs. Always a great time in the rooms. All of the kids had fun and the birthday girl is very happy. Thanks to the team at Zaaz

Zaaz is the spot for some amazing fresh eats! Their yammy bowls are a winner, wish I had pics to share. The Carnita Bennie and Foster Gone Bananas Waffle are seriously out of this world – total 10/10, you gotta try 'em! And to top it off, if you've got kids, the play village at Zaaz is a game-changer. It's an awesome spot for them to spend the day. Honestly, I wish we had something like that when we were kids – it's that cool!
Fatema K — Google review
We absolutely love going to Zaaz with our 2-year-old! It's a must-stop, especially when passing through Kamloops. There are plenty of themed areas for kids to play and learn something new. The restaurant is fantastic too; we always have lunch there when we visit. However, a heads up for first-timers: bring a sweater for your kiddo as the AC can be quite chilly, and we've ended up sick after visiting twice. While the entrance fee is a bit steep, we still visit frequently because we enjoy it so much. If the price were lower, we'd be there even more often! Although the entrance fee is on the higher side, we still make occasional visits because we enjoy it so much. If the price were lower, we'd definitely make more frequent trips!
Eliska G — Google review
We have been here a few times since ZAAZ opened. My son is 4.5. We always have a really fun time playing. There is so much stuff! 4 really likes the giant sandbox, the vet room, and the gross motor room. We just came for a birthday party and it seems like a really good place to have a party. There is a room upstairs, with AC, to have food and do presents. I can see some wear and tear on the toys, the drums were missing drum sticks and there was a lot less pieces that when we were there last spring. It's not a problem, there is still so much stuff, I'm just curious to see if the quality will be maintained and new things purchased to replace. All in all we always have a great time and would come back Highly recommend

This place is INCREDIBLE. Photos don’t do it justice. It’s something you need to experience..There are so many fun rooms for kids to explore and for moms/parents/guardians to visit and engage. The Food is AMAZING and we were just blown away with this GEM of Kamloops!! My cousins from Hawaii were visiting and we ended up in Kamloops due to some unforeseen events- this place was a life saver! I can’t say enough good about Zaaz!

So much fun! My 8 month old was amazed. Zaaz is super inclusive with fun things for babies, toddlers and kids! The neurodiversity room is great, it has many sensory activities. The whole space is beautiful! You need to see it to really understand how cool the place is! Kamloops really needed something like this!

We love taking our twins to Zaaz & enjoying a coffee from their cafe while we chase them around to all the different rooms they have to check out. It’s so nice to have a facility like this in our community - it’s an outing that is always enjoyable for our kids. The staff are lovely and our kids always discover something new each time we go. Thanks for creating such a wonderful space for our kids to play! We are lucky to have something like this in Kamloops - it is a big decision to start your own business, I commend the owner for creating something out of the box & different!

Zack's Coffees Teas & Gifts is a delightful haven for coffee and tea enthusiasts, offering a unique blend of flavors and experiences. This charming spot not only roasts its own beans but also features an impressive selection of daily blends from various regions like Indonesia, Nicaragua, Peru, and Brazil. The inviting atmosphere is perfect for unwinding with friends or diving into a good book while enjoying the natural light streaming through large windows.
Super friendly service, and very good lemonade (2.75$). Espresso (2.50$) is not bad. They have a lot of tea leaveas choiches.

Yummy coffee and pleasant atmosphere! A tad pricey however but not too bad.
Stacia P — Google review
This coffee shop is awesome. They roast their own beans here, and have different daily blends. Indonesian, Nicaraguan, Peruvian, Brazilian etc. The coffee is always delicious. The building itself is quaint. It's right on the corner too with large windows to look out onto the street. Awesome spot for a coffee and snack, doing some reading or studying or just chatting with some friends. Open atmosphere and tons of natural daylight.
Alex — Google review
Under new ownership and we will never return. The deli food choices are now minuscule and I ordered a ham and cheese croissant marked $5 in the case and a coffee. The rude cashier charged me $6 for the croissant and when I questioned him on it he said he forgot to change the price in the case but he had to charge me $6 since that was the cash register price. I said that was a way to loose customers and he snickered and really didn't care. The coffee was tasteless. The cashier spilled the croissant insides when he pulled it from the grill so it looked awful. The new owners clearly have a staffing quality problem. We used to love the place under the previous ownership but no more.
David S — Google review
Quite a nice little cafe in the centre of town. A huge range of hot drinks available, but slightly limited food options. A good range of cakes and nibbles, but otherwise, not much else. Still, good for a coffee and a nibble when passing through town. Parking on street paid at the meter.

I used to go to school at TRU and never missed my coffee there. It has to be the best coffee that I've had in the interior period. Very, very good. They need to open a few more..

If you're looking for an exciting adventure in Kamloops, look no further than Countdown Escape Rooms. This venue offers a fantastic way to bond with friends or family while tackling intriguing puzzles and challenges. Whether you’re on a date night or enjoying quality time with teens, the experience is sure to be memorable. The rooms feature a blend of mechanical and traditional locks that keep things interesting, ensuring everything runs smoothly throughout your escape journey.
Great way to spend some time with the family. Did the Wardrobe with 2 teens and myself. The staff ladies were very friendly and want you to enjoy your experience. The room is a mix of mechanical and traditional locks which was great! Everything worked perfectly without incidence. We were able to make it through. Staff kindly snapped photos at the end for us. Can recommend this place and would gladly come back when in Kamloops.

Had lots of fun. Young kids loved the wardrobe room. Fun getting them involved in some of the easier puzzles. Looking forward to the next time. Puzzles were good, decorations were medium. But that's fine. Was a neat experience.

Have done a few rooms here at Countdown and have enjoyed them thoroughly! I came in last night and did Mineshaft and absolutely loved the math based puzzles as well as the entire ambience of the room! Well thought out puzzles for the most part and welcoming staff make the experience an overall good one! Will definitely be back in the future
Taylor C — Google review
Took my daughter and her friend there for a fun new experience but it was not fun at all. They were very disappointed! The one guy was rude and had a chip on his shoulder, but the lady there was nice. Our time was short by 5 or so minutes and we never got to use our last clue, not sure it would have helped anyways because the clue we did end up using was no help to the girls in any way. Prices are high for this type of experience but if the service was better I could see it being something we'd go back for but we will not be going back here.
Grandon M — Google review
Have now completed all their rooms. We have run into a few problems throughout but feel they were corrected in an acceptable manner. Always have had fun. There are lots that go into the mechanisms and stuff so if you feel that something isn't right just call them and ask if it's broken before you spend too much time on it. Won't count as a hint. As far as reviews go about rude staff, I haven't experienced any rudeness. I've had a room restarted for free, given a free play coupon for a minor issue and given 4 free blazer tickets for no reason at all. If you want to see rude staff go to EXIT up the hill!
Trevor — Google review
An absolute waste of money. I’ve done Cannibal Cafe and Mine Shaft. Cannibal cafe we almost escaped but there was a faulty sensor on the last puzzle. With Mine Shaft, we had not been informed about the 7% success rate and didn’t even make it past the first puzzle. The clues were not helpful and the employee seemed annoyed with us. Very frustrating. Asked for a walk through and we never would have been able to escape. Would not be doing interested in ever doing another countdown escape room again - I would like my money back. I suggest you save your money and do some crossword puzzles at home if you want a challenge. Or for a fun group activity laser tag or mini golf, not this waste of time and money.
Bianca W — Google review
Absolutely awesome. All the employees have been great. So far me and my friends have completed mineshaft, through the wardrobe, and zombies. Always a good time. Can't wait to finish The other rooms.
Addam U — Google review
I was very disappointed with my experience here and won't return. Although it didn't say so online, we were only given 45 minutes to complete our room. For that cost in a restaurant we could've hung out for 2 hours! The room's walls didn't go all the way to the ceiling so we could hear the other people in other rooms making a ton of noise. Go to Exit--I've been there and had a much better time for $2 more.

Since its inception in 2017, the locally owned Kamloops Art Party has transformed from hosting sessions in pubs to becoming a beloved creative hub in the community.
My friend and I tried out the intro to pottery class and had so much fun! It doesn’t matter if you are a first timer or a practiced hand at pottery - it’s fun! I tried a paint and pour class and made a cool splatter painting. And up next is a Sip and Paint night at Kelly O’s. Why not try something new! 🤷‍♀️😊 Great crew here and really fun, relaxed vibe ❤️👍🏻

Unfortunately, every time I've been to Art Party my pieces come back looking like they've been handled with less than ideal care. This ant I painted was glazed by staff and is so covered in bubbles - it looks like he took a bath! I've also had ceramics sent to the kiln by staff and be returned to me with chips. The experience at Art Party is fun and unique and while want to keep supporting this businness, I don't know if I want to risk my art being damaged or mishandled.

Clients rave about Kelly's ability to make even the most camera-shy individuals feel at ease, creating a relaxed atmosphere during shoots. His creative vision is matched by his technical expertise, allowing him to tailor each session to fit the comfort and preferences of his subjects without any pressure. With a keen eye for detail and an easy-going style, Kelly ensures that every photography session is not only efficient but also enjoyable.
I highly recommend Kelly Funk Photography! His level of professionalism, timely turnaround and amazing images always exceed my expectations. He has a natural ability to capture a scene - whether that is choosing a landscape background to compliment the model featuring our yoga leggings; or photographing me as the face of my brand; or perfectly capturing a model's expression in a way that compliments the pair of yoga leggings she is wearing. I absolutely recommend Kelly Funk if you are looking to capture that 'perfect' image!
Kristina A — Google review
I had a great experience with Kelly Funk at my workplace. He was timely, professional, intelligent, creative; technologically adept yet sensitive to those of us who are awkward in front of the camera. He's full of excellent ideas, but fits these to his subject's comfort and preferences, absolutely no pressure or bossiness. The session was a funny, relaxed, warm, efficient process despite my innate stiffness with being photographed and I felt the results looked like me, just a better version than normal. Rare I think that talent like his is equally matched by kindness. I can't recommend Kelly and his work enough.
Fiona O — Google review
Kelly is a precision artist. His attention to detail and professional, yet easy-going approach make for a wonderful photography experience and exceptional finished product. My family met Kelly as models for a tourism shoot with Sun Peaks several years ago. We all remember it being a fun experience; the photos are timeless and still in circulation almost 15 years later. We have collaborated as photographers on several projects since and it is always a pleasure working together.
Mary P — Google review
Seriously the most professional photographer I've had the pleasure of working with. Kelly's creative and strategic approach to photography speaks for itself - we know this. But the level of familiarity he practices with his art - in addition to his gear, location and subjects - is one I admire deeply and learn from at every turn. His clients are always given the highest quality visuals, and come back for more without fail. Above skill and work ethic, Kelly is simply the nicest human being. Every step of the process is a fun, exciting experience for everyone in attendance because Kelly ensures it is. I can't wait for the next project we get to work together on!

My first professional photo shoot was a great experience! Working with Kelly is relaxing, fun, productive, and the results are phenomenal! Kelly is clearly a long-time professional in the commercial photography industry, and most importantly nowadays, his photos are REAL! And spectacular too!

Nestled along the picturesque Thompson River, Riverside Bed & Breakfast offers a serene escape with its charming riverside suites. Guests can enjoy a delightful stay in well-appointed accommodations featuring cozy beds and convenient kitchenettes. The welcoming hosts, Cynthia and Gordon, create an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Visitors rave about the stunning outdoor area, complete with a floating dock perfect for relaxation and socializing.
We stayed with Cynthia and Gordon for 4 nights. They were lovely hosts and their suites are outstanding, small kitchen area, clean, awesome beds. We kept being drawn to the the outdoor area that they share with their guests, Loved the floating dock with large table and chairs and while we were there the gangplank was our measure for the rising river level. 2 other members of our family stayed there as well and all enjoyed unique suites. But the highlight were the spectacular breakfasts served in fine dining style at a large dining table so we got to meet people from all over Canada, the US and Europe.. Have already recommended it to a few special folks.

Our hostess was very kind and friendly and professional. The room itself was immaculate, with a lovely view of the river, a convenient little kitchenette, and a giant comfy bed. The hot tub was super nice on a chilly night, and our only regret is that it was too cold to make use of the rope swing off the dock. We were served an amazing breakfast the next morning—blueberry waffles with ham, bacon, and fresh fruit. Overall we were very impressed and would definitely recommend this b&b to anyone looking for a gorgeous place to stay.
Tianna W — Google review
Beautiful setting, private parking on the property, Tracy made this a truly memorable experience; we rode in on bikes and it was a hot day so she offered to pick up some items for us for dinner on her way to the store. We dined on the patio and watched the sunset on the opposite bank of the Thompson River. It was spectacular! The breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip.
Theresa S — Google review
Best B&B we stayed at on a 3 week trip out west. It was the nicest, and cheapest. We got a BBQ basket with place settings so we could use the BBQ out back and make our own dinner and save a few bucks. Rope swing? Hours of fun. I wouldn't go out west again without staying here!

I couldn't be happier to have found Riverside B&B in Kamloops! A comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts - what more could one want from a B&B? Well there is certainly more at Riverside B&B! Located on the Thompson River, Riverside B&B is surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. I arrived after 20 hours in transit from Australia and was warmly greeted by Cynthia and taken to my very comfortable and well equipped room. Personal touches, including a personalised welcome sign at my door, were just the start of the attention to detail and commitment to comfort offered at Riverside. On arrival, an afternoon wander through the beautiful gardens was followed by hours of just sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet. A complimentary bottle of Riverside B&B wine was consumed and thoroughly enjoyed. This place is delightful - a fantastic accommodation choice if you are visiting Kamloops. The breakfasts were delicious - fresh fruit and yoghurt, french toast or pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausages, and a bottomless cup of coffee. The only problem with my stay at Riverside B&B was that I couldn't stay longer. Thank you Cynthia and Gordon.

A very pretty location overlooking the Thompson river. The room is large and and the bed really comfortable. Delicious breakfast provided. It also has user pays laundry facilities.

The Monte Creek winery has a wonderful tasting room. The big glass windows really give it a nice atmosphere. The grounds are well manicured. The outdoor patio is a good size. Friendly and pleasant staff.

Awesome wines, beautiful views, and the food totally hit the spot. Everyone on the staff was friendly and made the whole experience even better. A good place to hang out with friends during summer time.

Mmmm, the wine, oh the wine! 4 healthy samples of your choice and a charcuterie board. We ended up taking 4 bottles home. Great selections and all flavourful and tasty. No bombs in our selection and some great stories behind them! Ask about “hands up” and you’ll see a movie in the making.

Great place that you might miss if you're not paying attention. Superb collection of local wines, and the food at the restaurant is excellent. Staff was very friendly and eager to make your visit a wonderful experience.

Plan your wedding here! Not only was it the absolute best spot for an knockout view, the shaded trees and stunning lawn made for a incredible setting for our wedding ceremony! Coordinating with the Event team was a breeze and every detail was taken care of. Our guests enjoyed a perfect afternoon and I couldn't ask for anything more!
Libby J — Google review
I recently had my wedding ceremony at Monte Creek Winery and it was wonderful! They've had some turnover in event coordinators so I worked with a few different people throughout the planning process but they were all very helpful, responsive, and flexible with figuring out all the little details. The wedding was beautiful and everyone loved the wine selections for the cocktail hour. The Living Land Sparkling Rosé in particular was a big hit!

Went to the wine club pick up party last night. Have to say the staff and catering company did an amazing job. Amazing food by Sage & Plate and very friendly and courteous staff. And of course amazing wine. Great job Monte Creek Winery. Another happy member.

Nestled down a winding road from the notable Monte Creek, Harper's Trail Estate Winery is a hidden gem that showcases the evolving potential of British Columbia’s wine scene. This charming winery, with its roots as a working ranch, offers visitors an inviting Western ambiance and stunning views from its outdoor seating area. The friendly staff are always eager to share their knowledge about the wines, which include delightful whites and an exceptional 2018 Rosé.
First visit to this winery, the staff were very friendly and I really enjoyed the wine flight and sangria. The weather was amazing and we happened to visit during a craft market - Bonus
Lisa P — Google review
Though a bit down a bumpy road from Kamloops, the trip is worth it. With roots as a working ranch, the Western theme fits right in. The whites, pinot noir were a delight and loved the 2018 Rose. Nice outdoor seating with great views. Bring a picnic in season.
John C — Google review
Down the road from the impressive and imposing Monte Creek is another winery proving that Climate Change is greatly expanding the potential of British Columbia to sow grapes. This is Harper’s Trail, and I must first thank them for even being open on a chilly March afternoon. Another winery whose name escapes me (obviously) had yet to open for the season. Unlike Monte, Harper’s Trail was unknown to me. I had not seen or even heard of them before. I appreciate their use of traditional grape varietals, proving their sustainability at this latitude. And given the human race has ignorantly walked past the tipping point to stop global warming, this sustainability will be easier in a region growing each year. Yes, hundreds of millions of lives are in danger across the world given our irresponsibility towards manmade climate change, but at least we’ll be able to grow grapes in Alaska eventually. The winery itself is unpretentious and effective, a pastoral country theme with exposed natural wood all around. The view from outside is almost ominous, with distant mountains and massive empty blank fields. I enjoyed the wine as well, especially given they’re reasonably priced. There’s even a fantastic picnic area I wish we could have taken advantage of. Not only that, but my girlfriend got her bead (long story, she’s obsessed). Harper’s Trail is cozy, comfortable, and welcoming, and I recommend visiting Harper’s Trail after Monte, only because Monte can be a little overwhelming

We attended one of the music and wine events here this past summer. Really nice location, great music and delicious wine. We paired with our own picnic food so that was pretty good too :) surprised to hear that they are selling... ? hopefully the new owners will maintain the high standards.

Delicious wines and a beautiful location. You must try their Chardonnay if you were previously not a big fan. To be honest, all their wines are surprisingly phenomenal.
Olga L — Google review

Winery with some history to it in Kamloops. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Found all the wines to be very crisp. Large fields surrounding the building are beautiful, however the building is very uninteresting.

Sagewood Winery is a family-run establishment that offers a delightful wine tasting experience. The owner, Doug, is knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, which is evident in the delicious wines produced. Visitors can expect to receive wonderful insights into various wines along with great family stories from the host, Shelley. The winery boasts a diverse selection of wines including Merlot, White Ortega, Sparkling Wine, and Kerner white wine.
Girl’s weekend found us stopping at this hidden unsuspecting gem. Now one of my top wine tasting experiences. Doug and Nick are so proud of their wines. The time they spent with us answering all our questions about soil to sales was greatly appreciated. We had so many laughs! There is no need for pressure sales the wine sells itself and Doug simply recommends buying what you like! That’s some honest business practice right there! 10/10 would recommend a little jaunt across the river to the county side to explore this winery!

We had a most enjoyable experience at the winery. We were passing through Kamloops and saw details of the winery. We hadn't booked, and received a very hospitable reception, and had a great time learning about the grape and the different wines as well tasting the different wines. Many thanks for making part of our trip in Canada such fun, and we're enjoying the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot.🥂

My Fiancé and I stopped here on our way back to Calgary. We were earlier than expected and Dr. Doug rushed to accommodate us right away. He was knowledgeable and passionate, everything you want in a Winery host. Not to forget the wines had a unique and wonderful flavour. I highly recommend Dr. Doug’s service and wine!

We had a really great experience here recently! Our group of six dropped in for a wine tasting and left with a big box full of wine! Many of us had never done a wine tasting and everyone left with smiles and new memories 😊 especially my partner's Oma who's been wanting to go to a winery for years! It was also extra nice of the young man to let us pick some apricots (Oma was very happy to have her pockets full of apricots to snack on in the car :D) Thanks Sagewood winery for the hospitality!

Amazing, cute family run winery. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area to check out. We did our tasting with Nick, who was very welcoming and passionate about the wines. Amazing wine and great service, couldn't ask for anything more.
