SmartCentres Cambridge is a great place for family entertainment, featuring an ice rink and a recently added Kingpin section. However, the lack of public attractions outside of the holiday seasons, such as Santa and the ice rink, might leave some visitors wanting more. Staples offers excellent customer service from knowledgeable staff members who assist with finding the exact products needed. Walmart provides a pleasant shopping experience with friendly cashiers.
The Tesla Supercharger at SmartCentre Cambridge is incredibly convenient and well-located. Charging is fast and reliable, making it the perfect pit stop during our trips to Cambridge. While the car charges, I enjoy exploring the nearby stores, and my dog absolutely loves visiting Winners to pick out his favorite toys. The area is clean, safe, and has plenty of amenities to make the wait enjoyable. Highly recommend this Supercharger location for Tesla owners traveling through!

It's an outdoor store-to-store type of smart center. Some stores have closed down making the area seem deserted wish someone would open Starbucks or Tim Hortons near the GO bus stop..
Deb B — Google review
Stopped in at Staples and was met with instant service by a fine knowledgeable young man who provided me with the exact product I needed and some friendly chat at the cashier. Over at Walmart’s I found all that I needed and was greeted nicely by the young woman at the cashier. Very productive duck in and duck out.

Very centrally located just off Hespeler. I wish they had a little more than just a bus stop as people usually are waiting. A waiting area with washrooms & coffee shop would be so helpful.

Very clean, amazing variety of stores for all ages and preferences. Especially fun for kids with there new go kart area and mini animal cars for kids and adults. Great food court with variety for all ethnics.

I love this place. When I go out to cambridge, I normally stop there they took the one store I love.It has sparkly stuff and regular stuff, and they closed down.I don't know why. But we went to the halloween store.I ended up getting a jacket. I love it.I will wear all year long even though it has spooky things on it

Nature & Parks
Riverside Park, also known as Cambridge's largest community park, covers 252 acres and offers a variety of activities for visitors. It features sports fields, trails for hiking, picnic areas, a splash pad, and a skate park. Families can enjoy playground structures and sports facilities while taking in the scenic views along the river. The park also provides opportunities for bird feeding on the boardwalk. With four reservable picnic areas, it's an ideal location for family gatherings and group events.
The largest park in Cambridge, Ontario. Ideally located within short distance of Preston town centre, this is a nice place to enjoy some quality time either alone or with your loved ones. There is limited parking at the front but more parking areas within the park.
Patrick A — Google review
The park also has four reservable picnic areas, making it a great spot for family gatherings and group events. Whether you're looking to go for a hike, play sports, or just enjoy the outdoors, Riverside Park is a true gem that has something for everyone. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful and well-maintained park in Cambridge.
Anuroop S — Google review
One of the best parks in the Cambridge region. Long scenic trails. Park benches facing the riverside is so relaxing to sit & watch the fish & ducks wading in the water. Has a huge baseball field & some people play cricket too. This place hosts some events too every now and then.
Sushma T — Google review
Pretty nice park, lots of good trails however some of them require maintenance as they have been overgrown with weeds. Sports fields are full of goose droppings so watch where you walk if you cut across a field.
Kerry S — Google review
Good place for kids & family. Water splash pad, swings & slides and many other activities for kids. Tennis courts, shed for a family get togethers. Neat & clean. Washroom are available.
Adnan S — Google review
An awesome park with all the amenities needed for a great outing. Plenty of picnic areas, a playground, skate park, dirtbike track, public tennis courts, soccer fields, beach volleyball nets, baseball diamonds, splash pad and a nice trail to hike, cycle or jog on. Lots of parking. Some of the paths and parking lots need to be repaved
Solange — Google review
Great place to walk around with the kids. My only complaint is that signage is basically non existent and it was very difficult to find my way, as this was my first time going. But great playgrounds and splash pads for the kids. Shaded areas for the adults to sit and hang out.
Mike T — Google review
Great park for both adults and kids There's so much to do and see. I love going there. 8ts three minutes drive from home I am so grateful and thankful for the park 🙏 Thank you to all the people who worked so we have the parks we have today. Thank you Thank you Thank you 😊

I have been shopping at this place many times. I like shopping for clothes, shoes and jewelry. Some items can be expensive. But, sometimes, they reduce the price during Boxing week. After the seasons are over, they do reduce the regular price on clothes, jewelry, footwear, coats, undergarments, etc. They also have fitting rooms for men and women to try on their clothes. The parents can bring their children to try on clothes and use the changing room. On the first floor is the Bay, and the second floor is the Zellers. I usually use the escalater, but sometimes the escalater is out of service. I had to use their elevator. Where they sell purfumes and makeup counters. They have the same entrance and exit to Cambridge Mall. They do have three Entrances and Exits from and to the parking lot. They do have restrooms with Wheelchair Accessible Entrances on the second floor. They do their best to keep it clean. They also have free parking with Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lots. They share the same parking lot with Cambridge Mall. When I line up to be served, they do have one or more ladies depending on how busy they are. If I want to get a Bay Mastercard, I have to go to the store and have one of the employees sign me up at the service counter, or I'm allowed to use my other credit or debit cards.
Rhonda H — Google review
It's a shame yesterday was the last day for this iconic brick and mortar. The Bay will forever be a part of Canadian history. Going fully online could have saved The Bay until restructure. Just a shame all that history gone!
C C — Google review
The new "Zellers" shop on the upper floor of The Bay might be worth having a look at if you are already at Cambridge centre, but it's probably not worth making a special trip for. There are a few interesting pieces of merchandise unlike what you would normally find at The Bay. Other than a few logo tees, none of the Zellers merchandise is specific to the actual experience of visiting the store back in the day.
Sarah G — Google review
they're going out of business and their liquidation is at most 20% off. if you look almost everything they have is made in china including their own brand name crap. VERY overpriced for what it is. is a shame that a canadian institution has fallen so far.

Shade's Mills Conservation Area is a 228-hectare park near Cambridge, offering a variety of outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, and forested hiking trails. The area also features picnic spots, a beach, and opportunities for winter activities like ice fishing. It's an ideal destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts looking to reconnect with nature. Additionally, the conservation area welcomes leashed dogs.
Took the kids to Shades Mill Conservation Area Beach, and they had a blast! It’s a beautiful spot with clean facilities and well-maintained grounds. The beach was perfect for a family day out, and the whole area felt peaceful. A great place to relax in Cambridge, Ontario!

Went with a friend for a picnic. Some 🇨🇦 geese were chilling out before taking flight south for the winter. It was a nice day, and except for the geese and a few people, we had the place to ourselves!
Purrrplehaze — Google review
It is a Great place to visit. Nice and serene lake. Some good trails are out there. Also it is not very far away from the City of Cambridge. You can spend 3-4 hours very easily here and if you are coming with 2-3 families or a group of people, you can spend more time here. You can do BBQ here. There are benches all over the place. Washroom facility if provided. I believe it if open all year round but as summers in Canada makes these type of places more attractive.
Anas C — Google review
Worth the weekday evening trip. There are two lots to access the beach from (the left parking lot is a shorter distance). The washrooms are usually clean. There are two volleyball courts, plenty of picnic tables and open space areas to play sports. The beach is long so there's usually open space to sit (weekends - arrive between 8-10am to get a good spot). There are also canoe/kayak/SUP rentals available. I bring my SUP and it's a great spot to paddle for an hour or so (somewhat of a small lake). A great spot to spend your summer days.
Gerson P — Google review
What a beautiful spot to spend the day. It's a hidden gem and gives you the feel of being far away from the city though it's pretty close to civilization. I mean if you wanna get out there and feel close to nature but don't wanna have a long drive then this spot is for you. You can go fishing, kayaking and play volleyball too. Lots of fun activities for kids and adults alike and the beach is great too. My dog thoroughly loved the seven different trails to choose from and enjoyed his dip in the water.
Pooja M — Google review
I love this place. It’s beautiful, lush and green 😁. You’re surrounded by nature, you can play at the beach, swim and ride a boat on the river. You could also fish and kayak on the river. There are lots of trails, looks like a very good spot for camping. You can come in with food and for non members you have to pay about 15dollars and it’s free for children below 5. It was fun time, we came with a grill and made barbecue. There are no life guards at the water front, parents are responsible for watching their kids. I would definitely love to visit again and soak it all in. I took long refreshing walks in the woods, swam and ate barbecue 😁. It felt like I was walking through a well tended jungle.

Soper Park is a lush recreational area with expansive athletic fields, gardens, scenic trails, a vibrant playground, and a seasonal pool and splash pad. This beloved park has been cherished by the community for over four decades. Originally enjoyed as a child, it has since become a place to bring kids and even furbabies. Weekends tend to be busier than weekdays, while surprisingly fewer people walk their dogs in the rain!
It is a unique park to capture special moments with your loved ones. My family takes fall family photos here every year & it always amazed us with its beauty.

Lovely park that offers a relaxing and scenic experience. The park has a beautiful trail that follows the creek and passes through a forest. The park is well-maintained and clean. Also quiet and peaceful, with plenty of wildlife and plants to admire. Has a playground, a picnic area, and a fishing spot. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Open all year round and has different activities for different seasons. Overall, Mill Creek Park is a wonderful place to visit, whether you’re looking for a hike, a picnic.
Shireen I — Google review
A delightful park with a stream running through it (with children playing in it), a 9-hole disc golf course (which can be played sorry and long), playground apparatus, walking paths, tennis club, picnic tables....
John B — Google review
Nice old growth park with some big gnarly wheeping willows among other trees. Perfect dog walking park but you have to train your dog to leave frisbees alone(good luck with that, just kidding, lol)because there's also a disc golf course through the park. Great spot for taking pictures.
Frölfênüügen L — Google review
This park has some good features, like an outdoor swimming pool. It also has disc golf but the course spreads over the pathways and bench areas. There are tennis courts but it's for members only. The playground is very nice and well located. The splash pad is not that great. There is one picnic Pavillion with a minimal amount of picnic tables.
Solange — Google review
We really enjoyed walking through this park with our eight year-old niece. We walked through some trails under a couple of bridges, around the river and to the main park area with the playgrounds. The swings are separated from the playground, on the other side of the splash pad area, which I found a little odd but it didn't deter our little one from zooming back and forth between the two play areas. There are benches (that don't face the playground), a tennis court and portapotties available also. If you're looking for a nice park to relax in with or without kiddos, this is a great spot. There are a few Pokemon Go stops as well, for the gamers! :)
Kristine B — Google review
This place is absolutely beautiful! The willow trees and the river running through it were the key selling features for me. There were ducks with their ducklings, birds singing, and even a neighbourhood barbecue going on when I visited. Stunning! I would love to visit with a good book and just spend hours reading. Plus, saw a cute little baby turtle while I was there. And I adored the tunnel going under the nearby road.

I was doubtful about returning to an east side location once again as I had been to several in the past and encountered terrible customer service on numerous occasions. The only reason I kept going back was for the unlimited bread and salad option. However, after a long period of time, I decided to give it another chance last night and it turned out to be great! The food arrived promptly, and our server (Erica, if I remember correctly) was extremely friendly.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review ~Renee G I had an excellent dining experience at Eastside Mario’s today. The highlight of my visit was the outstanding service provided by my server, Renee G. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, guided me effortlessly through my options, and helped me select the perfect meal. Throughout the evening, her attentiveness and warmth made me feel truly welcome, almost like I was at home. Even if the food hadn’t been as great as it was, I would still rate this place highly because of the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere. The staff clearly cares about their guests, and Renee G. went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable night. I highly recommend Eastside Mario’s for the amazing food and its top-notch service and fantastic staff. I look forward to returning soon!

Danielle was a peach! Extremely friendly and efficient. Back hall smells something fierce. Food was tasty, mains could have been a lil warmer, apps were grand. Price is right, everything came in a timely manner. Good times, thank you! Hay badaboom.

Visited East Side Mario’s and had an okay experience overall. The service and atmosphere were fine, nothing particularly memorable, but nothing to complain about either. We tried two appetizers: 1. Cheese Spinach Dip This one was a hit. It was creamy, flavorful, and paired nicely with the garlic twist bread. The tomato basil bruschetta on top added a fresh touch. A solid starter. 2. Gnocchi Fritti Unfortunately, this didn’t live up to expectations. The gnocchi wasn’t crispy as described and was more on the soft/dense side, which made it a bit underwhelming. That said, the pesto aioli served on the side was really good and helped salvage the dish a bit. In summary, it was a middle-of-the-road experience. The spinach dip is worth ordering, but I’d skip the gnocchi next time
Bianca D — Google review
Really windy but they still let us go out on the patio as the sun was out and wanted to enjoy as long as we can. Server was amazing( even though I can't remember her name). She was very good at recommendations without being pushy. There was a mix up with the sauce I ordered on my pasta. She came out and I said it was still good, she still replaced the pasta right away. I've been to this location a couple of times and will definately be back.

Mark L — Google review
As we stepped into the cozy restaurant, our stomachs were growling with anticipation. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect backdrop for our evening. We were fortunate to be assigned to Holly, our server, who turned out to be a true gem. From the moment she approached our table, her friendly demeanor and keen attention to detail made us feel right at home. One of our family members has serious food allergies, which can often add a layer of stress to dining out. However, Holly handled our concerns with great care and expertise. She took the time to explain the menu options and even double-checked with the kitchen to ensure there would be no risk of cross-contamination. Thanks to her diligence, we were able to relax and enjoy our meal without worry. The food was delicious, and we savored every bite, grateful for the thoughtful service that made our dining experience truly enjoyable.

Barbecue restaurant
Q BBQ Public House is a relaxed eatery that specializes in smoked meats, including ribs, wings, pulled pork, and brisket. This establishment offers family platters for those looking to share a hearty meal. Q BBQ is known as Cambridge's first smokehouse barbecue joint and prides itself on creating authentic BBQ by slow-cooking its meats with apple wood and hickory for maximum flavor and juiciness. Customers can indulge in the restaurant's signature dishes such as St.
Fantastic real deal BBQ! I had an Amazing Lunch at the Q BBQ Public House! Had the three meat option Brisket juicy delicious, pulled pork really good, and server suggested fried chicken which was a yummy surprise. Corn bread amongst the best I have had and the two sides Mac & Cheese and Baked Beans. Server said the beans were famous in the area and they did not disappoint they were awesome a little different flavour than the norm but amazing. I think I will go with the hand cut fries or coleslaw over the M&C next time. The service was awesome very friendly with great knowledge of the menu and great suggestions. Venue is a very nice clean BBQ place Give it a go you will be happy that you did.

🌟I'll open up by saying the waitress was fantastic. Superb service and was very warm and inviting. Now....Re: Food Couldn't stop playing with my food because the food was far worse than my already low expectation. Beef Brisket 🥩 -Super dry and chewy -Doesn't have the melt in your mouth finish -Waaaaaaaay too much BBQ sauce they put over the brisket. Super tangy and a bit sour to the point where you have to wipe the sauce off the meat. Good meat doesn't need sauce Re: Sides🍟 -The sauce for the sweet potato fries was more on the yogurty side -Coleslaw worst than Costco's -Onion rings and regular fries were just okay. Buying frozen made ones and making it yourself would've been better To everyone that's coming here, I would highly recommend you drive over to Lancaster Smokehouse instead and get a meal you feel was well worth it after eating. Or even go to Cherry St. BBQ for some good brisket downtown Toronto. The photo with the Food Reviewer guy doesn't hold any substance anymore. My strongest opinionated review yet.

We had both a brunch and was invited for breakfast both times service and food were great. The meals were big enough to over to very light dinner.

Will be back! Got the pulled pork platter with two sides - fries and mac and cheese. It was great! Definitely want to try the ribs and wings next time. Friendly staff and great food, excellent prices.

A great find in Cambridge! Servings of food were big and delicious! It’s an older building and casual. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is a bit high but the food is very good. A must try if you’re looking for BBQ taste and quality! Washrooms are down a flight of stairs and lots of parking. Family friendly. We ordered the meat platter to try 4 different kinds. Chicken wings, brisket, chicken, and ribs. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauces were great.
Kim S — Google review
Oh my god. Probably the worst BBQ I have had. Had pulled pork, brisket and ribs. All were flavorless and extremely dry. Mac and cheese and an off-putting fake cheese flavour. Rice tasted like uncle Ben's store bought and beans were disgusting. Corn bread was also dry. Waste of 60$.

Ben Thanh is a vibrant dining spot that has captured the hearts of many over the years. With its spacious layout, it offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes that cater to different tastes. While some diners have found certain items like vermicelli noodles and pho to be average, others rave about their favorites such as Chicken Vermicelli and Pad Thai, which have remained consistently delicious for decades. The atmosphere is lively, often bustling with patrons enjoying their meals together.
Ive been coming here for 20 years and the food has Never disappointed. The 303, 424B and 422 Pad Thai is so consistent and hasn’t changed all these years. By far some of the best dishes on the menu as well as their Pho soup, wonton soups and bubble teas. This has now become a family tradition to come here and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for the wonderful service all these years

Visited this restaurant recently and I had a very good experience. Chicken Vermicelli was spot on and it will be my favourite dish. I had minor issue with Satay Chicken with Rice Noodle, as chicken felt overcooked and rubbery. Other items we tried were Mango Avacado Rolls which is a good try and Vegetable and chicken dumpling which is usual. It was a good atmosphere which seats filled and had lot of moving crowd. Overall a good dine in experience.

The food here is amazing!! The bubble tea is also top notch. The mango slushie with mango jelly is really really good here. The portions are good and the prices are reasonable. The seating is really nice and there's lots of parking. It's never too busy and the servers are extremely kind to everyone! Ordering is done through an iPad and it's quick and effective! The portion sizes are HUGE. Our server was amazing and super fast. My respect to the chef as well since the food was so authentic and tasted great. The place is very clean as well and the dining room is gorgeous!! Thanks again for the superb service by our waiter Kay!!

My first visit in years. Place could use a bit of a facelift but otherwise it’s clean. Servers are extremely friendly, polite and talk with a smile. Menu was on a tablet and easy to look up and order. Ordered some shrimp rolls and PHó. Food was served fast and was very fresh and delicious as always.

Recommend: • cantonese chow mein • squid tentacles (expensive but so worth it!!) • deep fried calamari w/ wasabi mayo • lemongrass chicken • pho • curry Skip: • boba (it’s not tapioca pearls, it’s the “agar bubbles/jellies”) • rainbow boba (it was just thick coconut milk! Like the one that comes in the cans) • mixed vegetables (not worth the price, I thought it was going to be a mix of the 4 vegetables you can choose from for a different menu item: snow peas, asparagus, bok choy, i forget the other one, but it was just cheap veggies and the celery was old and fibrous)

I was craving Vietnamese noodles and visited this restaurant close to closing time. The place is quite large. We ordered the vermicelli noodles and the regular beef pho to share. The taste was just average, not particularly impressive. Usually, at Vietnamese restaurants, there are small bowls on the table for sauces. I like dipping my food in the spicy and sweet sauces, but they weren’t available here. I considered asking for them, but since it was near closing time, I just ate without dipping sensation. There are plenty of seats, so it doesn’t seem like you’d have to wait long for a table.

Consonantly good 👍 every time we come to the Keg for dinner it is amazing! Great service, friendly staff. Delicious menu and features. Good selection of cocktails, wine and beer. Our last visit was May 5 2025 and its worth mentioning that all US wines were out of stock. But not to worry, Italian, Australian, French and of course our own Ontario wines are available 🍷🍷🍷. Reservation is recommended, we didn't and the wait time was 40min . Didn't take that long, we enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited. The restaurant was busy! Happy to say that didn't affect the service.👍 We enjoyed the Neptune Mushrooms, fantastic Ribeye Steak 🥩, my husband had the prime rib (cooked just perfect, medium rare) and added a lobster tail 🦞. It was delicious 😋!!! It's a bit pricey but the portions are very generous. We like to come here a few times a year. Always the perfect meal! Lots of parking as this restaurant is in a mall plaza. Right off of Hwy 401, couldn't be easier to get to.

I had the most fabulous experience at The Keg, Cambridge last night. Mike was our server and he was training Sarah. Both showed such elevated care and attention to detail. It was absolutely refreshing to receive this kind of service and hospitality. I have a gluten allergy and most dining experiences cause me some stress as I feel it's very inconvenient but a Manager came to the table, explained the process and ensured that my meal would be handled with care. Mike made a fabulous wine recommendation, and walked me through my order. We tried something new and was not disappointed. We'll absolutely ask for him again. Thanks for a great night out.

Spoiled for our Anniversary! Thanks for making us feel so special. I love sitting in the lounge, staff is so friendly and as always they are so great and helpful about me being celiac and needing to eat gluten free.

My husband and I went there for our 10 year anniversary, because we had a 50$ gift card . We went kinda early as we both work long hours and didn’t want to go later . We were greeted and promptly seated the hostess was very polite and professional. Our waiter Brawn was absolutely wonderful very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He was so nice as well making sure we had all we needed . The food was excellent we had the Gouda spinach dip which was amazing to start off then my husband ordered the lobster and steak with mashed potatoes and I ordered the filet mignon With seasonal veggies, it was all delicious and cooked to perfection. It was so satisfying even though it’s a pretty staple dish as was my husband’s. Then to top it off they gave us this wonderful ice cream cake as a treat for our anniversary it was also amazing we were so stuffed at the end but it was all so good ! The staff as a whole were courteous and friendly I was amazed as as of recent most restaurants are not up to this standard. With even the kitchen manager wishing us a good night as we left . I’m so impressed we will be back soon as holiday season is nearing .

Tonight we were on a girls adventure dinner. Mom, Daughter and Cousin. We were so lucky to have Bailey as our waiter. Definitely made our dinner just that much better. Thank you for the wonderful service and great food.

We went with a group of 6 people. Everyone ordered steaks, beers and two bottles of wine. We arrived at 6:15 and ordered our food in the first 10 minutes. At 7:30 we were told our food was coming and the kitchen was backed up. Our food didn't arrive until 8pm. Shrimp cold one one of the steaks, another steak was so tough that we just turned it back and our friend didn't want to wait another 1.5 hours for a steak so he just left hungry. No offer for comps on drinks or appetizers. At the end of the night I asked for a slice of cheesecake and I was asked what bill they should put it on. I laughed, cancelled the cheesecake and we left. >$900 bill, over 1.5 hours for food and no consideration for our time. Go to Kitchener or Guelph instead. This location only cares about their bottom line
