Nestled in a beautifully renovated 19th-century mill, Cambridge Mill offers a sophisticated dining experience with picturesque river views. The restaurant's stone walls exude warmth while expansive windows provide panoramic water vistas. Using farm-to-table ingredients, the chefs craft classic Canadian dishes with a contemporary twist. Additionally, the venue is known for its wood-fired pizzas and a relaxing atmosphere by the riverside.
I've been a few times and it's incredible! From Sunday brunch to a nice dinner service and food is amazing. Brunch is fresh, with so many options available. The coffee is delicious, and I love that mimosas are included. The food options range from eggs, bacon, to fresh seafood and pastries, and more! We were celebrating my spouse's birthday and our server still gave us a sweet treat with "happy birthday" on it. He was also wished happy birthday by many other staff members that attended our table. It was very thoughtful and we felt very special. We will definitely be back as I still crave that delicious, melt in your mouth, beef short rib dinner.

I very much enjoyed my lunch here at the Cambridge Mill today. My Waitress Emma was excellent and created a positive and seamless dining experience. She is very friendly, efficient and really gave us lots of attention as she checked on us making sure we enjoyed our food and kept our waters topped right up. The food was delicious. I recommend the Burger! AAA beef, iceberg lettuce, caramelized onions, smoked cheddar. I also enjoyed the Parmesan Fries. The scenery of the water is beautiful and the restaurant was nicely decorated with pumpkins. A lovely restaurant and i will be back again soon.

I visited Cambridge Mill resturant with my friend and her mother. It was an excellent experience, I am a regular customer and every time I go I like it more. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are all showing hospitality. They are well trained, and polite. Even there was a mistake in taking the order, but they fixed the order in a quick way making sure that my order came quickly right on time with the other orders. Highly recommend

We celebrated our 11th consecutive anniversary at this special restaurant, the very place where we were originally married. It’s become our yearly tradition, but this year’s celebration was especially memorable. Chris, our server, was truly exceptional - attentive in every detail, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. The food was nothing short of perfect, with each dish expertly prepared and beautifully presented. A special thanks to Shaylin, whose fantastic dessert recommendation was the perfect finishing touch to our meal. Her friendly visits and infectious laughter added warmth and fun to our night. All in all, it was our best visit yet. We’re already looking forward to returning and celebrating here again next year!

I get what all the hype is about. I had the kale salad which was phenomenal and the roasted beets which was good but you have to really like beets. Both options were vegan. My friend had the burrata which they enjoyed. The portion sizes were also huge which I wasn’t expecting.

This is one of my new favorite places to eat at. Interior is lovely and the view is amazing. Food was really high quality - probably my the best of any mills I’ve been to in Ontario. The steak and pasta were so good, and the drink also. Highly recommend this if you are looking for views, ambience, clean modern space with a touch of history, and amazing food - particularly steak.

Celebrated my brother and my newest sis-in-law's wedding recently at Cambridge Mill. The food was absolutely delicious, served hot and efficiently, and we felt truly spoiled. The staff, led by MC and Carlos, were kind, professional, and never missed a beat with ensuring that the celebration was exactly that and stress-free. As a guest, it was a wonderful time and I only heard praise from the happy couple about their big day and the preparations leading up to it. Bravo and thanks for such beautiful memories ❤️ Completely recommend you choose to celebrate all of the special moments with family here and to make the mundane special too with a visit!

Just a wonderful Sunday brunch in a beautiful setting with fantastic service and perfect food. We had a group of 10 with 4 kiddos under 8. Everyone found plenty of food they liked and it was always fresh and refreshed frequently. Our table overlooking the river was just perfect. Now, it is certainly expensive but if you can get past that issue, you will have a great experience.

Breakfast restaurant
Step into the nostalgic charm of Fifty's Grill & Deli, a delightful 1950s-themed diner that serves up hearty Canadian comfort food from breakfast through dinner. Nestled along Hespeler Road, this classic eatery is known for its inviting atmosphere and generous portions. Start your day with their All Canadian Breakfast featuring eggs, toast, and your choice of Montreal smoked meat or peameal bacon—it's a true morning treat!
Fifty's Diner is a fantastic dining experience that never fails to impress! The food is exceptional, showcasing a delightful menu catering to all tastes. I was particularly pleased with the kids' meals, which come in generous portions that leave little ones satisfied and happy. It's great to see a place that truly understands the importance of feeding hungry kids! Moreover, the staff at Fifty's Diner, especially our server Julia, deserve special mention. They are always pleasant, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring every visit feels special. Their friendly demeanour and quick service create a warm atmosphere that makes you want to return again and again. Overall, I highly recommend Fifty's Diner to anyone looking for a great meal in a friendly environment!

This is an extremely popular breakfast place in Cambridge if the weekend and holiday lineups are any indication. We arrived on a Sunday morning before 9 am, just in time to avoid the crowds. Amarillo Breakfast was very standard: 2 eggs, bacon, toast, home fries. Not impressed with the frozen “home fries”. Had requested they be well done but this didn’t happen. Was later told we could have ordered French fries instead but these are also only frozen potatoes with no guarantees of being cooked well done. Bacon and eggs were okay, rye toast was good. One plastic take out container of jam provided if requested. For the cost, not in any rush to return.

We had a lovely breakfast this morning! Our server was awesome - she took great care of us and was so kind. The food was delicious! Big portions and super tasty. Make sure to try Fifties Benny!! We’ll be back again!!

Fifty’s Grill & Deli has been a sure bet for a good meal on Hespeler Road for as long as I can remember. Always lots of parking and, in my experience, you don’t have to wait for a table too often. The Chicken Tender plate is a favourite of many who come here. This plate is huge! There is sure to be enough for tomorrow’s lunch! You must have these with Fifty’s yummy fries. We also had the Hot Chicken Sandwich. Thos is also a large plate and may yield leftovers for most people.

My daughter and I drove from Sudbury to Cambridge on May the 8th. We stopped in to have a dinner before heading to our destination. What an awesome dinner we had. our waitress was equally wonderful. I wish this restaurant was in Sudbury. It would be my #1 place to go as I'm positive would be for others in Sudbury too. Best food, awesome staff and well priced. Thank you for our wonderful experience. We will be back each time we come to Cambridge.

Waitress who seated us was next best thing to rude. Waitress who served us was warm friendly got our orders right and then failed to check on us to find that mashed potatoes and veggies weren't hot. We complained to another waitress who just ordered replacement mashed potatoes which by then we didn't want. Our waitress told us she didn't get back to us because she was busy making a milkshake. Must say the Sole almandine was hot and tasty. They took the price of a soft drink off the bill as compensation. Used to love this place for great food and service. Done with them now. Bye bye.

50s is a great family restaurant! But also a good place for adult gatherings. My kids loved the ribs on the kids menu! The food portions are very big and good making it a great value.

Indian restaurant
Indian takeaway
Grain of Salt Indian Cuisine is a relaxed eatery offering authentic Indian standards like vindaloo and korma. The restaurant is known for its generous lunch portions at reasonable prices, filled with traditional spices and flavors made with quality ingredients. Customers praise the pleasant and attentive staff, as well as the consistently great food and welcoming service. With ginormous portions to suit all taste buds, this classic Indian restaurant in Cambridge serves amazing dishes without excessive oil or harsh flavors.
Grain of Salt Indian Cuisine: A Culinary Gem Worth Visiting! If you're searching for authentic Indian flavors served with warmth and care, Grain of Salt Indian Cuisine is an absolute must-visit. From start to finish, the dining experience here is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse tastes of India. We began with a selection of appetizers, including crispy Pakoras, flavorful Manchurian, and perfectly spiced Paneer Tikkas. Each dish was accompanied by a variety of fresh chutneys that elevated the flavors to a whole new level. The main course was equally impressive, featuring traditional dishes like Maratha Curry, creamy Dal, and the indulgent Paneer Curry. These paired perfectly with a variety of breads, from soft Rotis to the aromatic Garlic Naans all served hot and fresh. What truly stole the show, however, was the chai—rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed. It was the perfect way to round off an exceptional meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, and the staff are attentive and welcoming, ensuring you feel like a valued guest throughout your visit. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Grain of Salt offers a dining experience you won’t forget. If you're in the mood for authentic Indian flavors, this restaurant should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

Some of the best Indian food on the planet. I've traveled the world and outside of India this is the VERY BEST. Absolutely outstanding. The depth of flavours is always the same. Incredible to find a restaurant that is so consistent 👍👍👍

Great food! Great friendly, fast service! We got 3 main dishes to share amongst four of us and there was more than enough food! Lamb Kadai, badami murgi, butter chicken.,mango lassi and masala chai were all so so good. (Excuse my spelling) definitely a great spot for upscale comfort food!
Merike H — Google review
Grain of Salt has been our go-to place for Indian vegetarian cuisine. They have most of the commonly eaten dishes but every one of them is freshly prepared and has a unique taste. They serve non-veg as well but we have never tried it. Their service is great and pretty fast. All their main course items come with either 1 naan, rice or 1 roti which make it a little economical due to less number of items to order. Last time we ordered Kadhai Paneer (which is ideally a 3 star on spiciness but they customised it to mild for us and it tasted great) along with Naan, 2 rotis and mango lassi. The Mango Lassi tasted like it should. They offer papad, mint chutney and tamarind chutney as complimentary starters. The best part is how silent it is even with guests. It is frequented by a multi-cultural population which shows how well accepted it is. I recommend it for everyone looking to try out North Indian food.

My spouse and I just moved to Cambridge , and we had heard raving reviews about Grain of Salt. We just had to see it for ourselves. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant, by very friendly staff and were taken care of immediately. There was a wide assortment of beverages and food options, and our waiter did not hesitate to provide his opinions on what the best dishes were! The atmosphere was lovely, quiet and the restaurant was very clean. The food.. absolutely incredible. Everything tasted like it was made with love. The flavors were amazing and the portion sizes and prices were very fair. This is my new favorite place in Cambridge!!!

We went to Grain of Salt at Cambridge very first time on Aug 30 2025 . It was really great experience. The food was served nicely by Sachin, Vani and harshi. We ordered vegetable noodles, chicken Pakora as starters abd Daal makhini,, karahi paneer, butter Naan-food was very really delicious.. They made sure every time about the food, is good or need something else while we were eating, and moreover the ambience was so mesmerizing. Me and my husband always preferes very quiet and calm place. Definitely coming back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had "Vegetable Maratha" it was spot on. Amazing experience and awesome service. Kudos to team working here. Changing my 4 star to 5 today. All thanks to Hershey! Keep it up team!

I dined at Grain of Salt and was impressed by their Badami Murgi and Saffron Rice. The chicken was tender, with rich, nutty flavors from the almonds, and the saffron rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked. The dishes were both delicious and comforting, showcasing authentic Indian spices with a modern twist. A fantastic experience overall!

Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, Blackshop Restaurant & Lounge offers a delightful blend of casual elegance and Canadian cuisine. This charming spot is perfect for brunch or dinner, featuring a diverse menu that highlights both classic and innovative European dishes crafted from top-notch ingredients. Diners can indulge in an array of options, including vegetarian delights alongside fresh fish and succulent meats.
Very well pleased with my first visit to Blackshop. We had The Duck confit and the Atlantic Salmon. They were very accommodating to my guest’s dietary needs of gluten free and dairy free. Our waiter Harry was excellent and had the chef adjust the sauce to be dairy free on the salmon. Thank you to the wonderful chef for our happy bellies and to Harry for being attentive to anything we needed.

Fantastic food! Our compliments to the chef, Asela. We tried the Atlantic salmon and the chicken mosaic dishes, which were packed full of flavour and cooked to perfection. An appetizer and strawberry cheesecake dessert were paired with a couple of cocktails to finish off the night. We could not have asked for anything more. Wonderful service. We will definitely return for another evening out at this establishment in the future.

Went last night (Saturday)for date night. I can’t say enough about our experience. From start to finish 5 stars! Food was amazing and delicious. Best Brussel sprouts ever. When I asked our server about ingredients, she said “just a minute and I will ask the chef”. Moments later the executive chef appeared to answer all my questions. He went above and beyond to get me the recipe. Will definitely be our go to place.
Anne G — Google review
Had an absolutely fantastic Sunday afternoon at the Blackshop. We visited for their endless brunch where our server Randy was so kind and informative to ensure we had the best experience. We tried several of their dishes, the Classic Benny, Breakfast Tostada, Tuna Toast, Grilled Cheese, Cheeto Mac & Cheese, French Toast and Mini Pancake Stack which all was individually, very delicious! The Chef Ace came out to introduce himself to us as well, invited us to his fall dinner debut, which we are now very much looking forward to. The ambiance of this restaurant was so pleasant, a breath of fresh air that gave us a GTA vibe with the live DJ playing tunes to set the playful energy. Overall great food, exceptional service and beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely be back and telling all of our family and friends!
Naya A — Google review
Went a couple of weeks ago for endless brunch. The coffee was superb and the food just kept coming. Endless small plates ?? - I wouldn't say they were that small......at the end I was so stuffed I just wanted to lie down in a darkened room lol. Needless to say we didn't eat anything for the rest of the day. My son in law is Spanish and he said the potatas bravas were excellent and "someone in the kitchen really knew what they were doing". Loved the DJ too nice to have music but not too loud or intrusive. Really hoping they keep on doing this thing. We have a wedding next year and I would love to bring the wedding party for the brunch the day after the wedding. They have semi-private rooms which would make it perfect.

Fantastic brunch. Food was delicious!!! Couldn't have ask for a better server, top notch !!

On a trip back into Toronto’s from Windsor we selected this restaurant to stop at to eat dinner. It was a quiet night but the service was excellent and they answered our questions with knowledge and made excellent suggestions. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would recommend the Blackshop to our friends.
Steven C — Google review
My mum, sister and I went for the Endless Brunch that just began on February 9th. The atmosphere, service and the quality of the food was sublime. Our server Katie was attentive and very kind, ensuring our beverages (unlimited coffee and tea and $6 mimosas) stayed topped up. The food was brought out quickly. The Chef Ace came to our table to check on how we were enjoying things. The decor and the music was absolutely perfect for a Sunday morning girls brunch. I would absolutely recommend this option as an affordable ($45 per person) fun brunch in Cambridge. It was delicious, elegant and memorable. If you haven't checked it out yet, run don't walk to try this fantastic menu.

Italian restaurant
Nestled on Glamis Street in Cambridge, Amici Restaurant is a delightful haven for those craving authentic Italian cuisine. This charming eatery captures the essence of Italy with its vibrant atmosphere and mouthwatering menu. Guests can indulge in fresh salads and flatbreads adorned with traditional toppings, while the pasta and pizza selections are extensive, allowing diners to craft their own unique combinations.
Finally had the pleasure of dining at Amici! We had a wonderful evening out with just the girls. We each had something different and were able to share. Healthy portions of delicious homemade pasta & pizza.
Jennifer C — Google review
When we are talking about hidden gems .. THIS IS IT! The food tonight was outstanding. There are quite a few Italian restaurants in the region but not many that make their own pasta fresh every day. This is the closest I have felt to being back in Italy. Best tomato sauce hands down. We had a large group there tonight and the staff did such a fabulous job. Great spot for a night out with friends or even a large group. Will be back for sure
Brittany M — Google review
I ordered “Spaghetti carbonara” but swapped it for linguini and added chicken. Delicious! I think I could eat the garlic bread dipped in the pasta sauce all day lol but the made-from-scratch noodles were also delicious. The tiramisu was delightful. Will definitely be back with my family - I know my kids will love the pasta!

Excellent food, freshly made by the cook at the back next to the fire oven. Taste and seasoning are very well judged. The servers are really friendly, adjust to your needs and are very fast. Well worth going out of your way for if you're in downtown Cambridge (Galt), it's about 3km from the centre with good parking.

One of the best Italian place I have ever visited. The food was beyond words and everything was served fresh. The service was amazing. Cannot wait to go back again. Loved it. Highly recommend.
Nishtha S — Google review
We joined some friends at their favourite local Italian restaurant and it was good. Glass bottles of cold water are on the tables for you to serve yourself (which I like). The pasta dishes came with a thin slice of toasted garlic bread in lieu of a bread basket. The Rosetta was delicious and I highly recommend this dish. Exactly how Nonna would have made it, in my opinion. The pasta in the Rosetta was buttery and light, the sauce perfect. The spaghetti and meat sauce was good. Portions were moderate. The thin crust Godfather pizza, with meatballs, pepperoni and sausage, made in their wood oven pizza imported from Italy, was also good. Our companions were hoping for extra Parmesan to be offered, although chili flakes were eventually provided when requested. There’s a popular bar area with high tops at one section, and regular tables fill the rest of the room, complete with the straw bottom wine bottle with the candle burning on top- adding to the authenticity of this place. Recommend reservations for weekends and I understand they can accommodate larger parties with notice. Free parking, located in a strip mall, easily accessible.

The café provides a cozy atmosphere for visitors to enjoy their specialty pour over, French press, Chemex, and Aeropress options.
Great little coffee place. Been here twice. Regular coffee is good. My wife got a something I can’t pronounce. Chocolate chip banana muffins and the apple fritters were excellent.

I took off one star today because of the fact that they don’t have a choice of sugar-free options . Wish they would add a sugar-free vanilla syrup for those that have diabetes and health problems! My husband went in there today to order a Chai. He was very irritated that they had no sugar free selection so he left without ordering anytthing. The coffee itself is excellent. When you see a chimney and you can smell roasted coffee smoke billowing out of it. Can’t get any fresher than this. Breakfast cookies are hearty filling not too sweet!

The ladies here are kind. I got an iced matcha with some sweetener and a vanilla and lavender shot. It was good, I do wish it had a bit more matcha flavour as I tasted the milk more than the matcha but it’s always a hit or miss with matcha so no hate.

Q BBQ Public House is a relaxed eatery that specializes in smoked meats, including ribs, wings, pulled pork, and brisket. This establishment offers family platters for those looking to share a hearty meal. Q BBQ is known as Cambridge's first smokehouse barbecue joint and prides itself on creating authentic BBQ by slow-cooking its meats with apple wood and hickory for maximum flavor and juiciness. Customers can indulge in the restaurant's signature dishes such as St.
Fantastic real deal BBQ! I had an Amazing Lunch at the Q BBQ Public House! Had the three meat option Brisket juicy delicious, pulled pork really good, and server suggested fried chicken which was a yummy surprise. Corn bread amongst the best I have had and the two sides Mac & Cheese and Baked Beans. Server said the beans were famous in the area and they did not disappoint they were awesome a little different flavour than the norm but amazing. I think I will go with the hand cut fries or coleslaw over the M&C next time. The service was awesome very friendly with great knowledge of the menu and great suggestions. Venue is a very nice clean BBQ place Give it a go you will be happy that you did.

🌟I'll open up by saying the waitress was fantastic. Superb service and was very warm and inviting. Now....Re: Food Couldn't stop playing with my food because the food was far worse than my already low expectation. Beef Brisket 🥩 -Super dry and chewy -Doesn't have the melt in your mouth finish -Waaaaaaaay too much BBQ sauce they put over the brisket. Super tangy and a bit sour to the point where you have to wipe the sauce off the meat. Good meat doesn't need sauce Re: Sides🍟 -The sauce for the sweet potato fries was more on the yogurty side -Coleslaw worst than Costco's -Onion rings and regular fries were just okay. Buying frozen made ones and making it yourself would've been better To everyone that's coming here, I would highly recommend you drive over to Lancaster Smokehouse instead and get a meal you feel was well worth it after eating. Or even go to Cherry St. BBQ for some good brisket downtown Toronto. The photo with the Food Reviewer guy doesn't hold any substance anymore. My strongest opinionated review yet.

We had both a brunch and was invited for breakfast both times service and food were great. The meals were big enough to over to very light dinner.

Will be back! Got the pulled pork platter with two sides - fries and mac and cheese. It was great! Definitely want to try the ribs and wings next time. Friendly staff and great food, excellent prices.

A great find in Cambridge! Servings of food were big and delicious! It’s an older building and casual. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is a bit high but the food is very good. A must try if you’re looking for BBQ taste and quality! Washrooms are down a flight of stairs and lots of parking. Family friendly. We ordered the meat platter to try 4 different kinds. Chicken wings, brisket, chicken, and ribs. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauces were great.

Oh my god. Probably the worst BBQ I have had. Had pulled pork, brisket and ribs. All were flavorless and extremely dry. Mac and cheese and an off-putting fake cheese flavour. Rice tasted like uncle Ben's store bought and beans were disgusting. Corn bread was also dry. Waste of 60$.

Josel was our waitress and she was fantastic! The food was very tasty and fair priced. For 2 people we got: a large soup, truffle fries and a BLT with fries AND 2 alcoholic beverages. We went during lunch. The atmosphere is calm and beautiful. I recommend!

Angel's Family Restaurant is a classic diner chain in southern Ontario, offering a vintage vibe and serving up hearty breakfasts, ribs, and smoked meat sandwiches. It is a popular choice for families in Cambridge, known for its traditional breakfast options like omelettes, eggs benedict, skillets, and various sides. The restaurant provides consistently great service with friendly and efficient staff.
Angel’s serves an amazing breakfast, and we’re making it our Sunday tradition when I have the kids. The service is fantastic—friendly and welcoming—and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch options, so there’s something for everyone. It’s always a wonderful way to start the day, and we look forward to coming back every week. Highly recommend it for families and anyone looking for a great meal with great vibes!

Angel's reminds me of one of those classic diners you see in the movies - simple, well-made food for a great price. The atmosphere is comfy and friendly, and the service is great. There's cool vintage photos everywhere too. What a great place to stumble into for breakfast!
Will R — Google review
The service was great, the restaurant was clean and the food was tasty. I had the Original with peameal bacon, and it made for a nice breakfast. The sunny side eggs were perfect, and the rye toast went well with the eggs. The peameal was quite good but slightly dry. The home fries were just deep-fried as opposed to cooked on the grill. They were the only part of the meal that was take it or leave it. I'd certainly go back if I was in the area.

I had a wonderful brunch experience at Angle's! The taste of the food was absolutely delicious, with each dish being cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the fruit bowl, which was so refreshing and filled with a variety of fresh fruits. While the fries could have been a little more crispy, the overall quality of the food more than made up for it. The service was also top-notch, with the staff being friendly and attentive throughout our meal.

Terrible food - overpriced and not cooked well. Employees running around like headless chickens while we sat there waiting and waiting to finally be served. Run down depressing dated decor makes you feel sad while you eat your sad food. The bill was outrageous 50$ for 2 people to eat breakfast.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful seafood experience, look no further than Caz's Great Fish in Cambridge, Ontario. This charming eatery is celebrated for its fresh and expertly crafted dishes that showcase the best of maritime cuisine. From their classic fish and chips to creative seafood platters, every bite reflects a commitment to quality and flavor. Upon entering Caz's Great Fish, guests are welcomed by warm hospitality from friendly staff who make you feel right at home.
I can’t say enough good things about Caz's Great Fish! The fish was so fresh and tender, with a crispy batter that was absolutely perfect. The staff here are wonderful— especially Anna. She served the food for us and she is friendly and truly welcoming. It’s clear they care about their customers and take pride in serving high-quality food. If you love fish and chips, don’t miss out this spot. One of the best in town. I’ll definitely be back soon!

I got the lunch portion of Caz's Best & Chips. Hands down the best battered fish I ever had. Service was very quick as well. I was welcomed as soon as I walked through the door and had excellent service from Cindy. Will be returning!
Aaron — Google review
I recently had the chance to visit Caz’s Great Fish in Cambridge, and overall it was a very satisfying experience. As someone who enjoys traditional fish and chips, I was impressed with how fresh and flavorful the food was. The fish came out hot with a perfectly golden batter that was crisp without being too thick or greasy. Inside, the fish was tender, moist, and flaky – just the way it should be. The fries were also well-cooked, lightly salted, and tasted like real potatoes rather than something overly processed. What I appreciated most was the friendly atmosphere. The staff welcomed me warmly, took time to explain the menu, and even gave recommendations about portion sizes. It felt less like a fast-food stop and more like a small family-style restaurant where people genuinely care about their customers. The prices were also fair for the quality of food. I felt that I received good value for the money, especially compared to other fish and chip places. That being said, there are a few areas for improvement. At busier times, the wait can be a bit long, and I did notice that the food can sometimes be a little heavy on the oil. The tartar sauce could also use a bit more flavor. However, these are minor issues compared to the overall quality. In the end, I would happily recommend Caz’s Great Fish to anyone in Cambridge looking for a hearty meal and a welcoming dining experience. It’s not fancy, but it delivers on taste, service, and comfort!
Da L — Google review
If you're in the Waterloo Region and craving authentic British-style fish and chips, you have to try Caz's Great Fish. I've tried many places in the area, and this one truly stands out. They've been around forever, and it's clear they know what they're doing. They serve all the proper staples—halibut, haddock, and cod—and they do it right. I usually go for the halibut, which is always cooked perfectly: crisp batter and tender, flavorful fish. And the mushy peas are done right just like in the UK. Whether you're a Brit abroad or just love a good plate of fish and chips, you won’t be disappointed.
Paul D — Google review
I had Caz's for the first time tonight and it was excellent! I'm not the biggest fan of fish so I had the chicken tenders + fries and it was delicious! Also had the onion rings and mozzarella sticks which were really good! The onion rings were huge and the batter was light and crispy. Mozzarella sticks had a great cheese pull and came with marinara sauce. Tenders were juicy and flavorful. The fries tasted like authentic chips! I would definitely recommend even if fish isn't your thing! ( I also tried a piece of the cajun halibut and it was really flavorful and not fishy at all!) Service was great and staff were really friendly. I will definitely go back!
Kayla T — Google review
I just have to say best fish and chips ever!!! This is what eat in a family business restaurant should be every time. From the moment I entered with my wife we felt that warm greeting. The staff was really nice, their suggestions amazing ! The fish was in the right point. No too much batter and no too little. We didn’t know if we wanted the Shrimps 🍤 batter or baked and the person who was helping us suggested to get half and half (you can see them in the picture). I personally liked more baked but my wife batter so it was the perfect suggestion. The price was really competitive with other restaurants that offer the same food. I’m thinking in bring my corporate events to them, it would be nice to to the end of the year lunch there or some birthday celebrations. Overall a 5 out 5 starts. I wish I could say something wrong about this place then it doesn’t look all good but really, I couldn’t find anything wrong with food, staff or the atmosphere.

Tiny Cakes is a small and delightful bakery that offers a wide range of delectable treats such as cupcakes, cookies, pastries, cakes, and breads. This place has garnered positive reviews due to its exceptional quality. Upon placing an order for two cakes, there was a slight delay in response from the bakery's side. However, the owner apologized for missing the email and promptly asked for confirmation on the cake selection.
Tiny Cakes is a locally owned bakery which specializes in cupcakes in the heart of downtown Cambridge. The cupcakes were moist and expertly made, I particularly enjoyed the black forest cupcake which has a soft whipped cream. They had a good selection of different flavours, everything we tried was delicious.

Adorable little bakery in downtown cambridge! Tasty cupcakes and other sweet treats. They have a great selection to choose from everyday. We tried a few cupcakes and enjoyed them
Jody B — Google review
I found my favourite cupcake store today! I tried 6 cupcakes: Red Velvet, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Baileys Irish Cream Cheesecake, Black Forest, Salted Caramel, Knotty Pine Buttered Almond + 2 other desserts: cookie dough cheesecake bar and napoleon custard square. I think I’m quite picky with my cupcakes but I liked all of them! The cake was very soft and moist but did not fall apart when I wanted to break off the bottom of a non-filled cupcake to make a cupcake sandwich. The soft buttercream icing was the perfect (in my opinion) texture and consistency and just the right amount of sweetness where you can enjoy the flavour of the cupcake without being overwhelmed by sugar. This is great because they have such fun unique cupcake flavours and they do the classics super well as well! The Black Forest had a fresh tasting whipped cream (rightfully not buttercream) that was delicious as well. They have a lot of other desserts available such as cookies, French macaroons, squares etc. Prices for cupcakes differ depending on if you order <6, 6-11, 12+ and cheaper in store than ordering online ie Uber eats (like with any store/restaurant). My 8 treats came to a total of $34 which is amazing considering the amount and quality. 10/10 would recommend!
Taehee B — Google review
OMG this place is amazing! I stop here every time I am in the area and I am never disappointed with my treats! I usually go for the trusted cupcakes (which not only look gorgeous but more importantly taste DELICIOUS) but decided to try a tart or two instead… WOW just WOW. The chocolate caramel didn’t even make it home. The lemon meringue was a perfect breakfast! And as if the food wasn’t enough the owners are so welcoming and friendly. (don’t even let me get started on the total thirst trap of a husband! 🔥) GO TO TINY CAKES!! You can thank me later. 😜

My kids and I have recently discovered this bakery and we are forever changed! It has become our favourite spot to get a treat. There is a lovely selection of baked goods, the staff are really helpful and patient and the desserts are some of the best I've ever tasted. The only challenge is deciding what to purchase! Can't recommend this local gem enough.
Monika C — Google review
SO glad I finally made my way out to try Tiny Cakes! It's such a cute little bakery, and I was greeted right away when I walked in. I tried six cupcakes: Vanilla Bean, Birthday Cake, Triple Chocolate, Red Velvet, Salted Caramel and the Knotty Pine Buttered Almond. The Knotty one is a new favorite for sure, but they all had really nice icing/cupcake/topping flavor combinations to them. It's not the sugar-loaded grocery store cupcakes that I think a lot of us are used to, where the main flavor is just "sweet". These are proper bakery cupcakes with a lot of care and mindfulness. The icing has a nice consistency: soft at room temperature but much more firm when chilled, so definitely let it warm up a bit. (The nice lady at the bakery did let me know this as well.) I had half my cupcakes fresh on the day and had the others the next day and they kept well enough. But for me, the real winner was the stack of chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate chip cookies have no business being so delicious, soft, chewy. I bought them Saturday, and two days after being opened and half eaten, they're still just as yummy. Highly recommend this bakery.
Elissa J — Google review
Just came in for some macaroons and they did not disappoint! Best macaroons me and my bf have had! We will be coming back again! Lady who was working I’m assuming one of the owners was very kind and welcoming!

My husband and I were married at Cambridge Mill January 25, 2020, and Jen and Arthur from Tiny Cakes created a beautiful cupcake display for our special day! The cupcakes were phenomenal! They were beautifully decorated and displayed and they were delicious! From ordering to delivering Jen and Arthur were fantastic to deal with and we would highly recommend them to family and friends. We look forward to popping in to indulge in the many treats they have in their shop the next time we visit. Love, The Bonds

Breakfast was tasty as was the coffee. We had their French Toast and their Classic Breakfast. The home fries were crispy and well seasoned. We asked for very crispy bacon; unfortunately, it didn’t come that way… it looks like they tried to get it crispy by deep frying it, which is usually fine, except that today it made it very greasy. The young man serving us was efficient and attentive.

Nice, cozy family diner with decent prices. Food was quite delicious with big portions. Coffee was really nice as well. Service was a mixed bag. One of the servers was really nice and friendly while the other was standoffish and crass. Maybe having a bad day, so I will give them grace

I was visiting family in Cambridge from Montreal and decided to try this restaurant out for brunch. The food was amazing. Had the rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and gravy which was delicious. The staff is super friendly, servicing the food fast and were very helpful. Would definitely eat here again next time I visit.

First the prices are crazy high for this type of place. I get everything has gone up, but $20 for an omelette! Anyway, ordered eggs and bacon with home fries for myself and my guy order turkey club with fries. Food got to the table and portions were huge and looked good. Then we started to eat. Nope...home fries were waaayyyy over fried and super greasy, bacon was asked to be crispy and yes, there were a few spots of crispy, a few spots of burnt and raw, and that was on one strip of bacon. My mans club had raw bacon and made with stale bread. Also fries over done and super greasy. Unfortunately, we couldnt even eat enuf tp get full. The waitress was great. Man comes from the kitchen asking what was wrong with the food. Saying he gets his bread from a company. So I told him to complain to his bread company then. Saw other meals of other patrons. Nope nope nope Weren't charged thankfully but ick

I had breakfast at Tony’s Family Diner and it was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast and everything was cooked just right. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy (not greasy), and the home fries were golden and seasoned perfectly. Portions were generous, and the coffee kept coming fresh and hot, just the way I like it. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing start to the day. The staff were friendly and made sure I had everything I needed.

The Food was 5000/5 stars!!! We were traveling in the area from out of town--what a lovely surprise to find this gem of a restaurant!! 🍀 Outstanding food, outstanding service, and decent atmosphere. Best take home order ever, packaged to perfection as the food was surprisingly warm 1 hour later. We ordered Steak Milano and Shrimp Fettuccine in Rose sauce. Tony was so kind, caring and generous. He went above and beyond when he offered to let us try the Steak Milano sauce before ordering because we never tried it before and weren't sure we would like it. It was SPECTACULAR. The fresh herbs and spices, the attention to detail. The ladies at the front were attentive and responded quickly when we entered the restaurant. This is the kind of small town hospitality that is rare nowadays, definitely something you dont want to miss! Skip "Skip the Dishes" and go in to order--you won't regret it. We also tried Tony's Potato bacon soup & garlic herbed bread (perfection!!!!!), fruit salad, rice pudding. I ordered double the shrimp for my shrimp fettuccine, and the staff did a professional and thorough job wrapping everything up. Food was still warm and toasty after the 1 hour drive home!!! Now THAT was impressive. We will be picking up food here from now on, whenever we are on town. Thanks Tony!

Yesterday about 8:00 pm, I ordered, through Skip, Pancakes plus a side order and Bacon. The pancakes were very large and the 2 (of the 5) that I could eat was very good. Cost before taxes, service charge and tip was $31.00. This is what I got! Not happy, wouldn’t order again. I had called before I ordered and the person answering was friendly but rushed. Nestled in the heart of Hespeler Village, Four Fathers Brewing Co. is a vibrant taproom that embodies the spirit of community and craftsmanship. Born from a casual hockey game among four dads, this brewery combines artistry with accessibility to create exceptional craft beers. The spacious industrial setting invites you to enjoy hearty burgers, delectable desserts, and an array of tasty snacks like wings and nachos while sipping on their unique brews.
Very clean spacious venue with a good selection of beers. The food looks good although I didn't try this time. Very knowledgeable staff who answered questions about the history of the area and this business. Could use a little more selection on the take home cans although you can always opt for getting a growler. Was our favourite stop of the day!

Cool brewery with some great offerings. Flights of 4 available if you can't decide in a full pint. Food menu was good too. The smash burger was very good, as were the fries. It friends got the classic poutune, which was also great. Lots of parking work 2 chargers for EVs. Staff were great as well. Nice shop for swag and beer take home purchases too.

Nice restaurant indoors with a small but cute patio. Lots of parking available. Tons of merch to purchase if you’re into that. Food was decent. I ordered the works fries with nashville hot chicken on top. Friends got the burger with side salads.
Ms. T — Google review
Arrived and sat on the patio and then waited 20 min for service. Once a waitress arrived after the host sat another table next to us probably notified the server who came a minute later. There was no apology for the wait just a what can I get you. The table next to us had to call over a waited as they had also been waiting for at least 10 min. I know the average standard is to at least acknowledge a table within 2 minutes. The interactions were just kinda awkward from there. If you plan on coming here and sitting on the patio make sure you order at the bar first or the your vibes might die. The last time I got service indoors in was great and I just recommend they get a server for outside instead of having multiple people run around.

Well deserved delicious meal. We biked in from Guelph and had a nice dinner on the patio. The place has such a nice and relaxed vibe. We got a flight of beers that were all tasty. And we both got sandwiches. The fries were great and the burgers too. We will definitely be coming here again.

Really great & fun spot. The food was awesome and the beer was even better. You can tell everything’s made with care. My burger was unreal and the flight was super fresh. I had to grab a pint of Spooky Boi, easily one of my new fall favourites. The vibe inside is relaxed and everyone working there was super friendly. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Cambridge!

I have never had such kind service at a restaurant, me and my girlfriend took a road trip out to Cambridge and stopped here for ice-cream. Instead of being understandably upset about re-opening their ice cream stand, they gave us two scoops each for the price of one, AND ON TOP OF THAT OUR WAITER ONLY CHARGED US FOR KIDDIE SCOOPS. Phenomenal place 10/10 please go here. They also have games which was a GAME changer…get it?

I have gone to other locations many times and never gotten chicken like this. My chicken burrito has chewy, dry, hard chicken that I couldn't even chew. I threw a good portion away. Chicken didn't taste seasoned either. This is the 2nd time I came here and the bathroom plumbing smell travels into the restaurant. It's pretty damn gross.

They genuinely have some of the best-tasting food around. What really sets them apart, though, is their amazing customer service. Orders are always ready quickly, and they go the extra mile with those sweet little handwritten notes that make your day. I even popped in once and they knew my name – how special is that? Nestled on Elgin Street North in the heart of Cambridge, Azores Cambridge Bakery is a delightful Portuguese bakery that offers an impressive array of baked goods and takeout meals. From freshly baked bread like Portuguese Dinner Rolls and Ciabatta buns to delectable sweets, this charming spot has something for everyone. Catering businesses have found a new favorite supplier here, thanks to the consistently fresh and perfectly crafted buns that are essential for elegant plating at events.
Was looking for a new bread supplier for my catering business and found this amazing company. Called them up and got to sample some specific buns that I needed for some upcoming catering events. Needless to say, these guys were amazing! The bread was as fresh as fresh could be. Treated great. Each bun looked perfectly identical (which is super important to me when it comes to plating) So yup, I am totally thrilled that I found my new supplier. Can't wait to go back and try their hot table foods next. Thanks again! Peter

This place is amazing! It's been here for as long as I can remember but I've never been. We finally gave it a try. Their sub sandwiches are sooooo good. They give you a lot of toppings and for a great price. My boyfriend loves their Bifana sandwich. Their baked goods are very good and fresh. This will be our new place for a quick bite

I was craving Napoleon pastry so I went to there. But, they don't have it this time so I ordered pudding first time. Almost half of pudding there were air bubbles in it. So, texture was not smooth I was little disappointed. But, taste was good! When I there last time I want to buy rice pudding. But, they don't have it. Because, I saw it before I went to here. Anyway, I asked them then they said "we are only carrying on Friday" but this time I went to Saturday. So, maybe change it now. Last time I thought too. It's really dangerous. Left side cash they have exit door. Which is it's connected by parking lot. When you drive to come parking lot you didn't know that door is. Only gray door and from outside door doesn't say anything. If open the door from inside (it's only exit door) sometimes car is just in front of you. But, if put up a sign the outside door it's really helpful to drivers and going out customers too. The driver also more carefully to drive when they pass by the door. And it's kind for everyone. So, please please make a sign on the door (for the outside). If you go to first time definitely nobody knows actually people come out the this door.

We are so glad we chose Azores for the buffet at our wedding (August 30th, 2025). Their dishes were wonderful and absolutely delicious, a huge hit with all our guests! We had a great mix of hot food and sandwiches that everyone loved. The customer service was amazing, and their help throughout the process made everything easy. Plus, the price was fantastic for the quality and quantity we received. We definitely ordered a bit too much (in a good way!) and ended up sending guests home with snacks for their drive, train, and plane rides. Highly recommend Azores for anyone looking for tasty, comforting food and a seamless catering experience! — Emily & Andrew

Stopped by today and picked up 2 loaves of sweet bread and an order for half chicken, rice and potatoes!! All food is amazing and delicious. Customer service was amazing as all staff are friendly and the staff kept up with how busy the place was when I arrived from out of town. Great food and before I leave cambridge I will have to pick up a loaf of sweet bread before leaving Cambridge.

Java Jax Good Roast Coffee is a delightful family-owned café that opened its doors in October 2022, thanks to the passion and expertise of Ruth and Greg Organ. Nestled in Cambridge, Ontario, this charming spot has quickly become a local favorite for its inviting atmosphere and exceptional service. Regular visitors rave about the perfectly crafted chai lattes and delectable chocolate chip cookies—often enjoyed with complimentary treats from the friendly staff.
The owner is very charismatic and passionate about his establishment. The pride in quality and atmosphere is very obvious when you step foot in the Cafe. They have delicious meals, sweets and of course, coffee! The cold brew, iced coffee and lattes are all wonderful and the sandwiches are all great too.

A wonderful little gem of a coffee shop. Cappuccino and latte were delicous and warm, went straight to the heart! We also ordered the pumpkin cheesecake and it was served up nicely and tasted even better. This place might often get overlooked because of the location but it is perfectly hidden right beside the gaslight district! A wonderful little stop if you want a cozy atmosphere and a delicious treat! Absolutely recommend to come check it out as Videos never do a place justice. The atmosphere is awesome!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Java Jax is such a gem in Cambridge! The coffee is excellent, the food is great, and the hospitality is truly unbelievable—some of the best I’ve experienced. I really appreciated the little touches, like how they came around to offer coffee refills to everyone sitting inside, and how much care they put into steeping the tea just right. I had the hibiscus tea lemonade and it was made perfectly. I also love how they support and promote local artists through their space, which gives the café such a unique and creative vibe. Definitely recommend, and I’ll be coming back to explore more!

I picked up a bag of their Brazilian coffee beans, and I was really impressed. The owner kindly took the time to explain their coffee in detail, which I appreciated. The beans are uniform in size and roast, with no defects or burnt ones in the mix. At home, I use an Italian espresso machine with a dedicated grinder, and from the very first shot I could tell the beans were fresh—delivering a clean, well-balanced taste. I’m brewing with a naked portafilter and 58mm baskets, which aren’t very forgiving, yet the results have been consistently excellent.
Pirooz G — Google review
I first visited this coffee shop about 8 months ago, and I was blown away by both the quality of the coffee and how much Greg, the owner, cares about what he serves. I’ve tried just about every small coffee shop in town searching for the perfect cup, and once I found this place, the search was over. Since then, I’ve brought countless friends here for coffee dates, and even had my birthday breakfast with my family at this spot. Greg now knows my order by heart—he always takes the time to connect, crack jokes, and make you feel welcome. If you’re looking for exceptional coffee made with passion and a personal touch, this is the place to go.

Felt so welcome and taken care of! The owner and staff are so nice and fun! The tomato soup, sandwich and iced latte I got were so tasty and beautiful! Love this place.
Merike H — Google review
I stopped by this morning and had such a great experience! I ordered a Brazilian pressed coffee, an egg & cheese croissant, and a banana muffin. The coffee was rich, smooth, and full of flavour, honestly one of the best cups I’ve had in a while. The croissant was warm, flaky, and perfectly balanced with the gooey cheese and egg. And the banana muffin was moist, not too sweet, and the perfect finishing touch. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy, exactly the kind of place you want to start your day. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I am unsure if I met the owner or if the guy was really into what he did. But I found him to be both knowledgeable and lovely. He seemed very genuine and kind. The other people there also seemed very lovely. And whilst I didnt get any food (which sounded amazing), the drinks were fantastic. Honestly the best matcha latte I've ever had. And I loved the little "happy matcha" history I got on the product as well.

Di Patty Shop is a Jamaican takeout spot in Cambridge, situated in the northern part of Hespeler along Queen Street West. This eatery specializes in traditional Jamaican cuisine such as flavorful beef patties, delectable jerk chicken (with a spicy kick), and both chicken and goat curry dishes. Customers rave about the mouthwatering food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The owner is known for being amiable and welcoming.
I ordered goat with rice. It was absolutely delicious. The portion size was very generous. This is now my go to Caribbean food restaurant in Waterloo region. The location is very convenient and had plenty of parking when I got there.

Such flavours!!!! Very nice staff. We walked in and ordered multiple things to try and everything we tried was amazing!!!! Curry Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Goat Roti, rice and beans, coleslaw. We loved it all and can't wait to go back and try more. The portions are huge!!!!!

If you are looking for tasty authentic Caribbean food I cannot rave enough about this place. A little gem that needs to be visited if you are in the Toronto GTA. Just off the 401 in Cambridge Ontario is Di Patty Shop and we happened upon through a friends recommendation. We weren’t disappointed! Truly delectable beef patties where the crust is fresh and the right type of crispness —and the flavour! Oh my! Chef’s kiss. Definitely worth the drive!

We stopped in today for a quick takeout lunch. We're so glad we did! The patties were delicious—we tried chicken, mild beef, and spicy beef. All were the best we'd ever tasted. We also shared the curry goat, which was a generous portion and was really tender and flavourful. We'll be back! Please note that it's takeout only.

It was my first time coming here and it will 100% not be my last. They have the best Jamaican patties and jerk chicken!!! Everything is hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious!! I am definitely going to be returning for more.

Got three spicy beef patties and ate them faster than I've ever demolished anything in my life. Even when you pick up your order the inside smells amazing, we can't wait to try more! Thank-you! UPDATE: Went back & tried the large jerk chicken with gravy. It was delicious, super spicy yet sweet, and tender. I have to mention the high quality chicken legs they use as well, huge & juicy! If you come late you'll manage to miss the more popular items, but I'd really recommend taking whatever they have to offer when you visit. Always delicious, quality food!

If you're looking for a delightful twist on the classic Afternoon Tea experience, look no further than Queen of Hearts Tea House. This charming venue offers a contemporary take on this beloved tradition, featuring their signature "Queen's FULL Afternoon Tea." Guests can indulge in a beautifully arranged three-tier plate filled with five savory delights like finger sandwiches, four delectable sweets, and two freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and jam. The selection of loose leaf teas adds to the elegance of dining with real china.
Can't begin to explain how extravagant Queen of Hearts is. It was my first time going today and definitely not my last! Their menu selection is very unique and every item on it was top notch freshness. My favourites were (all, but here's a few) Savory- mini red pepper pinwheel and cucumber/cream cheese bread Scones- current with fresh cream AND jam Sweets- strawberry cheesecake square and cookies and cream brownie Quite a few of their menu items were actually the best I've ever had. I had their strawberries and cream tea and it was extraordinary (drank one and a half pots full actually). Their service was some of the best I've ever had aswell - very attentive to every table in there. Always making sure everything was good/you didn't need anything. Their tea house is relaxation at its finest, and their experience is one of true elegance and pampering. Side note- I got lavender candies and elder flower candies on my way out and both are delicious. They're made in Great Britain and the tins they come in are gorgeous. Can't suggest this place enough- would rate a 6/5 if I could!

A Whimsical Wonderland of Flavour and Charm! From the moment I stepped into Queen of Hearts Tea House, I felt like I had wandered straight into a fairytale. The atmosphere is absolutely enchanting—vintage elegance meets whimsical charm, with cozy seating, delicate china, and thoughtful decor that truly makes you feel like royalty. The tea selection is phenomenal! Whether you’re a classic Earl Grey lover or craving something more adventurous like lavender or lime gelato, they’ve got something that will surprise and delight your taste buds. I tried the signature Earl Grey cream and paired with the freshly baked scones was pure magic. The staff are warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. They genuinely care about your experience and are happy to guide you through the menu. The service was top-notch from start to finish. Whether you’re planning a quiet afternoon escape, a special date, or a whimsical tea party with friends, Queen of Hearts is the perfect spot. I honestly didn’t want to leave—and I’ll definitely be back soon! Highly, highly recommend. 💕☕👑

My partner and I went for our 2 year anniversary for the full menu. We got a warm welcome and we were showed to a table immediately. The savouries were amazing, we loved the ham and cheese croissant the best. The tea selection was good. We had a great time and the ambiance was on the spot. The scones were fresh and the sweets were good but simple.

What a lovely and relaxing experience! Celebrated a double birthday with a friend today for lunchtime high tea. The decor and dishware were all so elegant. We got the half tea option, which seemed a bit small but it was actually just enough. The tea and food were both excellent, made with care and attention to detail, and the clotted cream was proper. Service was also excellent and they were accommodating to our food sensitivities (notified in advance). Highly recommended!
Angie M — Google review
A Nice little Afternoon Tea experience. Very traditional British Food offerings. Everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was nice. My only minor complaint - it would be a great experience for kids (and I know you do have special events kids would love) but the food offerings aren't the most kid friendly. It wouldn't be traditional but having something like Nutella wraps or little PB and J finger sandwiches would be adorable and kids would snatch up. Just a thought!
Stephanie H — Google review
I came for afternoon tea with a friend. Overall I thought it was good but not great. Pretty small selection of teas for a place that specializes in afternoon tea. The decor is a weird clash of pastel flowers and blood red and black Alice in Wonderland motifs. Scones were dry but clotted cream was nice. Everything felt like it lacked salt and flavour a touch. The desserts were disappointing, but the amount of items and sizes were otherwise good. I wouldn't recommend it when there are other better options but it was decent. Service was minimal but fine.
QI B — Google review
I had a wonderful time at the Queen of Hearts Tea House! All of the food served was fresh and there was a great tea selection (caffeinated and non-caffeinated). I will definitely have to try the to-go option at some point.
Valeria T — Google review
This place was fantastic for afternoon tea! Easy to reserve, and a great environment for anyone and everyone! The tea was fantastic. They gave a wide variety of selections and both the French lavender and strawberries and creams were phenomenal. The savouries were out of this world. Favourite was the bacon mini quiche and the mango chutney coronation chicken wrap! Very unique and just hands down delicious. The scones were absolutely delicious, and they gave us REAL clotted cream! The sweets were fantastic too! Overall a 10/10 experience! Would definitely come back again, especially for only 45$ per person. Great price point!

We only recently started frequenting The Cambridge after it was recommended by a friend. The service is always friendly. The decor makes us feel like we're stepping back in time...in a good way! We usually go for breakfast, which is always delicious and plentiful, but recently stopped by for lunch. The chicken tenders were delicious and my husband loved his burger with the buffalo chicken. Looking forward to going again soon.

My smash burger was fresh and super yum! The beans came to the table cold. After being warmed they were pretty decent.my man ordered the omelette, and it was cold, and there was hardly any cheddar cheese at all. The home fries really needed more frying and attention. And wee also cold. Now, the servers were absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is really lovely with the old school charm and rustic look. The restaurant is very clean. They do have some over priced dishes for the most part. And....to counter balance that, they have some amazing daily specials. I will be back! Not sure when as I'm from Hamilton and don't drive. Also, the server took the breakfast omelette off the bill to rectify the cold meal!

he Cambridge Restaurant has been a cherished part of my family’s life for years. It’s more than just a place to eat — it’s a place filled with memories. I’ve been going there with my family and grandparents since I was young, and it was always their favourite stop. That kind of tradition speaks volumes. The food is classic home cooking — warm, hearty, and made with care. It’s the kind of meal that feels like it came straight from your own kitchen. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere has a cozy, home-like diner feel that instantly puts you at ease. What makes The Cambridge Restaurant truly special is how they treat their customers like family. It’s rare to find a place where you feel genuinely valued and where the staff remembers you. That personal touch is what keeps people coming back, and it’s why this restaurant continues to be a beloved local gem. If you’re looking for comfort, connection, and a meal that feels like home, The Cambridge Restaurant is the place to be.

Only diner I’ve been to that offers a small breakfast platter with a little bit of everything including baked beans. Price is reasonable at $6.50 and bottomless coffee is $3 which they’re very good at topping up. However, the home fries were not fresh and more than half was hard and broken up in to tiny pieces.

Just had a great lunch here with my husband. We both ordered the OG chicken sandwich and it was fantastic. It came out very quickly. The waitress, Lorraine, was lovely and very helpful. Overall it was an awesome experience with delicious food, and nice people. Can't recommend this place enough.

We were looking for a quick bite between travelling up from Windsor to Collingwood. Cambridge is right where the 401 portion of our trip ends, so decided to find a restaurant close to the 401 in town. I am very happy we chose this restaurant. It was about 5 minutes off the 401 in town, I believe it was the downtown area, and they offer street parking for free up to 2 hours. The food was amazing, great portion sizes and prices . I liked that they had a good selection for the kids menu and that they had options for lighter bites. The staff were friendly and the food served fast. This will now be my go to restaurant when travelling and it is on route.

Nestled in a charming, unassuming house, Little Louie's Burger Joint & Soupery is a delightful local eatery that specializes in gourmet burgers adorned with creative toppings. This cozy spot offers not only mouthwatering burgers but also homemade soups that warm the soul.
At first I thought it was a bit pricy given the places 'Diner/Truck Stop/Wimpys' feel, but honestly I think I got pretty good value for the meal. I ordered their daily special which was "The Double Bacon" burger. Very tasty. A generous sized beef Patty with a thick slab of pemeal bacon and then regular bacon on top. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were freindly, good atmosphere, not too crowded, seating available outside and the bathrooms were clean. I'd definitely go back and try out their milkshakes. Another patron had mentioned they're very good

They have vegetarian burger option. And shakes are very delicious. We had chocolate chips shake. Seating area is very unique and nice ambiance. Food was not of great taste bit at the same time not too bad. It was okay i’d say. Service was nice. When you go you have to choose yourself to build your own burger which is interesting.Outside seating available.

The burgers and soup were very good! Tasted fresh! But let me tell you, the dessert was CRAZY! I wanted to order one of each haha but I’m coming back to do that . I ordered the brownie with pretzel, marshmellow and caramel. It was probably the best brownie I’ve ever had. I also ordered the “end of the bar” Milkshake which is basically the end of each dessert bar blended with ice cream :/ it was truly amazing. I’ll be back (Arnold voice)

Friendly staff and fast service. Who doesn't love build your own burgers? My burger was delish! Fries were fresh, hot and had the perfect amount of salt 👍 The only suggestion I have for this cute lil burger joint would be move away from plastic utensils as they are not environmentally friendly. Reduce, reuse and recycle 😉

Hidden gem, clearly. Made it here for the first time last night and couldn’t be more pleased. As a huge fan of hamburgers, I will add Little Louie’s to the top of my favourites. The salads and fries are good companions to their delectable beef and chicken burgers. Plus, their staff is friendly and their owner has a hell of a sense of humour. Read a review on TripAdvisor before going, “Sue” had written a bad review because she didn’t get her way when wanting a free side. The owners reply on TripAdvisor sealed the deal on me driving there for the burger. Small businesses owners have to stick together, and I found the comment hilarious. 🤣

Such a great find! Food was fantastic, everything was made perfectly. Burger patty was moist but not greasy, had a great flavour to it. Buns did not fall apart, home made fries were crispy on the edges with a soft inside. Burger that was made to order gave lots of variety of toppings and the pulled pork was sooooo good. Will definitely be back again!
Justin W — Google review
Best burgers in the area? We have been here many times over the last couple of years, and we all agree, their burgers are epic. We love the idea of having one of their weekly creations, or being able to build your own burger. Their meat is awesome, their brioche buns and perfect, and all their ingredients are fresh and homemade. As a bonus, these guys make delicious and flavourful soups, so I usually pair my burger with one of their heavenly soup creations. The service has always been very friendly, and we don't mind waiting a bit for our food, as we know that is being created fresh for us. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. (p.s. We endured a 30 minute drive, through our region's crappy construction/traffic, just to come here last time. What excuse do you have? .... LOL)

The burger was absolutely delicious – juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The handmade fries were a great addition, crispy and fresh. The burgers here are simply delicious. I ordered juicy lucy on fire and it’s the best beef patty they have out there, justifies the name. They were quick to make it and even the chocolate shake was so good. Highly recommend for anyone in the area looking to grab a quick snack/meal.

Ok so there are burger joints everywhere and its hard to determine one from another and well ill just say that its not the burger that has me mesmerized, its the fries. I've spend hours trying to perfect the art of the fry and I know this much a Tri fry is where its at, im more than sure that this place follows that methodology and thats why its my top pic of the franchise fry! Other than the fries the burger is a true slab of meat on a bun, its great and the price is comparable to market ask, but its just that much better than the average market taste. If you haven't been here b4 then its about time you make your way down here. A warning ⚠️ to you, once you've had these fries it will ruin you cus it will be hard to have any other without a comparison.

I'm in from the US and was looking for a good restaurant. I saw the Burger factory had great reviews so after visiting Costco I swung by. The reviews are correct. The cheesy Lucy burger was fresh cooked, all fresh ingredients, and the tornado fries were amazing!!! To my surprise, the young man behind the counter brought me a second tornado fries. He said the first one wasn't large enough, so they wanted to make it right. That was spontaneous on their part, I thought mine was fine but I did get a bonus. Absolutely perfect burger, perfect fries, perfect service. I'll probably be here twice before I go back to the us, and I'll visit each time I come back. A highly recommend.
Ray K — Google review
The place looks decent and service is fine. The cheeseburger tastes good but the price for the minuscule patty is excessive. Reduce the sauces to benefit the size of the patty. Also, unfortunately the fries were inedible. The taste was off and they were over fried.

The food was fantastic! Homemade fries reminded me of childhood roadtrips when we would stop at a fry stand! The options for toppings were plenty. So much I wanted to try, so I will have to return. I took one star off the atmosphere only because there are remnants of decorations on the lights and a cozy cobweb hanging over our head in the light fixture. Staff was amazing and friendly. Grand Cafe is a super cute little spot downtown right by the water. You can sit inside or out, or walk just a few steps away to the main street bridge or walk down to the water. Prices for food is commonly 3-4$ for muffins, cookies, etc. You can get a coffe, tea, or hot chocolate for a similar price. The staff is so lovely! Shocked l've never come here before, but will definitely be back. I go here for the service and spot, food sometimes isn’t the freshest or best I’ve ever had, but no complaints!

The butter tarts at Grand Cafe are simply perfect! The crust is flaky and flavourful. The filling is the right level of sweet, buttery, and caramely! As you can see by the drops on my sleeve, they are the perfect amount of runny, with the added bonus of being chewy because they are overflowing! Go early though, because they never seem to have more than 2, and that's at 9:30 am!

Nice Cafe, beautiful location and the prices not so bad. I couldn't gage the atmosphere because, I guess they were getting ready to close the store when I got there ( 3: 45pm ) because someone was sweeping and I wasn't asked if it's take out, patio or sit in. Bought Chai tea Latte and Pineapple Scone. Chai Latte was not the best I ever had but I enjoyed the scone. I will go back for it, maybe a bit early this time, so I experienced what I read on reviews before going.

Great place for coffee in Galt. The baked goods are really good and made in store. This shop is often used in movies like The Handmaid's Tale. We really like this shop. In the summer we will often have mocha ice coffee.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful and healthy meal, look no further than Fresh Poke in Cambridge! This vibrant eatery specializes in poke bowls that are not only visually appealing but also packed with top-notch, fresh ingredients. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or looking to savor every bite, Fresh Poke offers an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Many visitors rave about their experience here, noting how welcoming the staff is and how consistently delicious the food tastes.
I love that I can customize my own poke bowl! The staff was super helpful and even suggested which flavours pair well together. We also tried the sushi rolls—they’re larger than your standard maki, which you might love or not, depending on your preference. The interior is so aesthetically pleasing with thoughtful decor, and it smells clean and—no pun intended—fresh inside. It was my first time here, but I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had the Aloha bowl with extra salmon and it was FANTASTIC! Prices are very good and healthy portions. Service was wonderful too. Will definitely be a regular for us (couldn't take a pic because we inhaled it so fast).

Been here a few times now and everytime the food is delicious and the service is great. Staff is super friendly. I've had a few of the poke bowls, Maki and boba tea all great. They even accomodate those who are gluten free and celiac and are very knowledgeable and careful with cross contamination. Atmosphere is cozy and clean with modern but warm design. Highly recommend!!

I tried Fresh Poke in Cambridge and really enjoyed the build-your-own bowl option — everything tasted light, fresh, and full of great flavor combinations. The ingredients were clean and well presented, and the portion size was just right for a satisfying meal that didn’t feel heavy. My only complaints were that the mango was quite hard and not ripe, which threw off the texture a bit, and the tempura shrimp wasn’t cut into chunks, making it a little awkward to eat with the rest of the bowl. Overall, though, it was a great experience with friendly service and a refreshing meal. I’ll definitely be back.

Fresh Poke is an amazing spot for both poke bowls and boba! They have a great selection of fresh, flavorful ingredients, and every bowl is packed with deliciousness. The boba options are just as impressive, with a variety of flavors and perfect chewy pearls. The service is always friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for a fresh, tasty meal or a refreshing drink!

So so so very good! Has all my favourite things in ONE place with bubble tea and sushi rolls and poke bowls! I was in heaven! I was so impressed when I walked in and I didn’t even smell the “fishy” sushi smell! It smelt very clean and looked phenomenal! Very pleasing to the eye and everything tasted amazing! Big portions too! A+++

Ordered the kai bowl through door dash as I heard there was a new poke spot in town. I was very excited to dig in once I opened the bowl, the bowl is big, packaged very nicely, with great presentation! The flavor was great, rice was sticky, the toppings were fresh, and the salmon was delicious with a lil kick. However the ratio of protein to rice is honestly unacceptable. I was about a quarter away through the bowl, wishing I had more salmon, I don't even think doubling the salmon would be enough for myself. The stock salmon portion definitely needs a huge upgrade hence my 3 stars. Would happily change my review if the stock protein portion changes. (Edit, protein portions are still absurdly small for the price, hence my 3 star review) 7/10

Welcome to The Nguyen's Viet Express, where the essence of Vietnamese cuisine comes alive! This delightful eatery offers a range of comforting dishes that include pho, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls, and fresh rolls. Recently celebrating an opening promotion with a "buy one get one free" deal on banh mi options like grilled chicken and cold cuts made for an exciting visit.
We got 4 banh mi’s, 2 cold cuts and 2 grilled porks. Both were filled to the max with meat and toppings. So full of flavour, and so delicious. They have a baker that bakes the bread fresh daily. You can really taste the difference. 10/10 highly recommend. Their Vietnamese iced coffee tastes like the ones they make in Vietnam. The owners were so nice too.

I am obsessed with their banh mi!!! They are PACKED with meat and so much flavour!! I ordered grilled pork (for my boyfriend) and grilled chicken for me. I also got Mi Quang (bc it’s on special on Wednesdays so why not!!!) and pineapple 🍍 & avocado 🥑 shakes (happy hour BOGO 50% from 3-5pm!!) They even have Ube cupcakes now, which I didn’t order but I definitely will on my next visit!! I haven’t tried the Mi Quang yet (I’m full from the banh mi and avocado shake 😆) but I bet it’ll be very delicious, authentic, and taste just like the bowl I had back when I was in Vietnam a few years ago (it was my most fave dish!) 🍜 The shakes are so good and refreshing. Everything is made to order so it’s all super fresh! Did I mention delicious yet?? 😆 The staff are always so welcoming and friendly so it makes the food taste so much better. This place definitely deserves waaayyy more recognition so if you haven’t tried them yet, you gotta eat here!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Cambridge has an AMAZING authentic Vietnamese eatery: The Nguyen's Viet Express is a takeout paradise of fresh made-to-order Banh mi, Mi Quang and Pork Spring Rolls. Inspired by the Owner's culturally rich knowledge of Da Nang cuisine, the kitchen staff served us a gastronomic feast that transcended us to the best of southeast cooking. The grilled pork was succulent and tender and abundantly filled the nicely toasted banh mi along with fresh traditional vegetables garnishment. The MQ1 Soup was spectacular with a protein blend of plump tiger shrimp, pork, and egg. The fresh Vietnamese pasta and accompaniment of vegetables are both dazzling in display and even better on the palate. This soup is so delicious. Kudos, as well, for the scrumptious pork spring rolls: crisp light wrap filled with mouth-watering sweet and savory pork. Thank you to "The Nguyen's Viet Express" for serving up superb fresh high-class authentic Vietnamese takeout cuisine at reasonable prices and with a PASSION for Great Flavors. We look forward to many more takeout visits at your Eatery. See three pics of the above dishes. NOTE: •easy parking, super clean store, friendly staff, •homemade: soup base packages, jars of Pad Thai, and fish sauces available to purchase. •Debit and cash accepted. •No dine in.

They had promotions until May 14th. So, I went today. It's an opening promotion "buy one get one free for bánh mì" They had cold cuts, grilled pork, grilled chicken, veggie tofu, meatballs and honey garlic. I ordered grilled chicken. It was great! I can taste it with a little bit of a smoke taste and the chicken was good. And a pickle of carrots and daikon (lo bok) was fantastic. I don't like it too much sour. But, this one tasted perfect to me. Also I tried sliced pickle first time. Because, normally I had finely chopped style. But, it was a great teacher.

Clean and stylish new spot. The Vietnamese coffee was excellent and really fresh. The bánh mì, however, was just okay. I ordered the chicken one, but there was a small mix-up with my order, didnt order red onion but turn out lot of red onion, could not taste it proper. It had plenty of chicken, though it turned out a bit dry
Thai D — Google review
Had a high expectation based on good reviews but my experience was mixed. Both grilled chicken and grilled beef Banh Mi tasted fine but grilled chicken vermicelli and beef pho were disappointing. Both lacked in the amount of veggies significantly and some of the chicken was too burnt to eat.

I visited Nguyen's today for the first time. I had never tried Banh Mi before, so I ordered one with grilled pork, and it may have been one of the best sandwiches i've ever had. The staff were all very friendly, and the service was very fast. Everything you want from any eatery. Would highly recommend, and will most definitely be back for more in the future.

Nestled by the serene Puslinch Lake, Old Marina Restaurant & Gift Shop offers a delightful dining experience in a relaxed setting. This charming lakeside eatery features a lovely patio where guests can savor home-style dishes while enjoying stunning views of the water. The highlight of their menu is undoubtedly the renowned Puslinch Burger, which boasts a juicy patty topped with crispy bacon and a delectable two-cheese blend that creates an irresistible cheesy crust.
First visit. Their burger with the fried cheese ring surrounding it was quite delicious. Fries were perfect and the side gravy was terrific! Warning - the burger is huge - consider sharing so you can try other menu items. The pulled pork potato skins were excellent - crispy potato on the outside and really good pulled pork on top. The carrot cake (we shared) for dessert was nice and moist, not too sweet. Service was friendly and attentive. It was a cold day so no patio but the lake view from the restaurant was excellent.

My girlfriend and I went here for lunch in August. The good: Fantastic food quality, superb service. Why I’m complimenting the service is our waitress knew when to ask if we needed to refresh our drinks etc. I’ve been to so many places where the servers have the awkward timing where you have a mouthful full of food and they want to know if you need anything. Not in case, she was friendly and knowledgeable. The location was beautiful. If you sit outside, choose the veranda seating like we did, it gives you the best view of the lake. The bad: For 2 drinks, fish and chips and the puslinch burger with tip cost us $84. The burger and fish and chips were superb but let’s be real, it’s a hamburger and fish and chips. Overall it was a nice treat but the price is a little high to make it a regular visit.

The lake by the restaurant is an absolute beauty and a plus one to the amazing food. Love the three layer chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and a nice lemonade on a sunny evening. Chicken wings with honey garlic sauce are a delight.

My family and I tried this restaurant on a Saturday night for dinner. The food was great. We ordered their famous burger and the Perch Fish. The perch fish was not as flavourful. The burger with the poutine tasted great. The server was polite. We sat on the outside since the place was busy and required a reservation to be sat in the patio area closer to the water.. Will know for next time! The outside does not have any lights where the picnic tables are, so after 8:30 PM you are sitting in the dark.

Langdon Hall Dining Room offers an exquisite dining experience that leans more towards breakfast than brunch, making it a standout choice for those seeking elegance. The atmosphere is charmingly sophisticated, reminiscent of a cozy cottage with a warm wood-burning fireplace. Guests rave about the Smoked Salmon, which is not only delicious but also beautifully presented.
We went there to try the summer discovery menu. The service was good, and we chose to sit outside to enjoy the remaining days of summer. The vibe was pleasant. They mentioned that the flowers in the dishes and the vegetables were all sourced from their garden, which is impressive and sounds very healthy. However, I found the tables are a bit close together. It would be great if they could be arranged further apart from each other.

The buildings and grounds/gardens are gorgeous and were fun to walk around and explore. The room felt like being in a gorgeous cottage with a fireplace... and the wood burning fireplace added to that. The breakfast was amazing and worth the money. The service and personal touches... note left in the room etc... 10/10. Now for the not great part. We had the tasting menu for dinner which was 9 courses. It was super expensive and not worth it. It was a fun night and our server was amazing... but very few of the dishes were really good. I don't care how great the story, how creative the idea, or how pretty the dish... if the taste isn't there - I'm not impressed. It was a bit of a letdown... Overall though, a wonderful spot 👌.

Beautiful grounds and one of THE BEST meals we have had! We had the lunch a la carte and tasting menu. Everything was balanced and delicately made. Our favourites were the pork and the lingonberry brioche dessert. The espresso martini is also one of the best we have had! Definitely will be back!

Have been here several times for birthday celebrations and each visit gets better every time! During this visit our waiter was kind and attentive, we didn't catch his name but he was lovely. The trout amuse bouche had amazing flavor and their take on the chicken entree was so unique. They surprised me with a birthday candle in a planter pot with real flowers! Great experience.

We only had 2 nights at Langdon Hall so we ate at Wilks the first night and the main dining room the second. We also had lunch in the pool area and breakfast in the main room. Wilks was ok but forgettable, the pool food was very satisfying, and breakfast was a surprising failure (eggs ordered sunny delivered overhard, lousy sausage, overly sweet bacon, and tragically expensive at $52 pp). This review, though, is strictly about dinner in the main dining room. Tyler, our server, was/is a pro and his attention to details was impressive. Thanks Tyler! Simply put, the food we had that night is in the top 3 we've ever had over our many decades of frequenting "great" restaurants. I'll let the photos speak for themselves but every bite was intense, intriguing, inviting and interesting (and that's just in keeping with the letter "i"). From the amuse bouche to the cheese course, it was all flawless. Michelin has awarded the restaurant its "Recommended" badge and I suspect they must have been just shy of a full Star. It'd be well deserved, imho.
Daniel G — Google review
We enjoyed the grand tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was truly a remarkable experience. Each dish was a masterpiece — the presentation was artfully composed, the flavors perfectly balanced, and the execution flawless. Every bite revealed new layers of creativity and refinement, leaving us deeply impressed by the chef’s vision and craftsmanship. Words hardly seem sufficient to capture the level of perfection we experienced. The service was equally outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and highly professional, striking the perfect balance between sophistication and genuine hospitality. They elevated the entire evening, making us feel both cared for and completely at ease. It is a great pity that the Michelin Guide has not yet reached this restaurant, because I have no doubt the chef would earn three stars with ease. This was far more than just a meal — it was an unforgettable journey, and truly one of the finest dining experiences I have ever had
DW D — Google review
Tyler, our sever, is a star and an absolute pleasure to deal with! The restaurant itself has great food and service, and the presentation of the dishes are wonderful, but it does not come cheap – we opted in for the grand tasting menu which was offered at the time, and we were generally happy with that decision.

We were extremely impressed with our experience this evening at Langdon Hall Dining Room. We would rate it 10/10. Service: Tyler easily ranks amongst the best. He warmly welcomed us, is personable, professional, and is extremely knowledgeable about the offerings. Tyler is very skilled at painting a picture of each dish whilst describing it to you - so much so that it elevates your anticipation, and trust me you won’t be disappointed! Thank you for your hand written note congratulating us for our anniversary. Food: every dish we had from the lobster appetizer to the halibut and marinated beef mains was delicious. Each delicious morsel was an expertly curated blend of creative ingredients, many freshly harvested from their own garden. Delectable desserts of garden berry pavlova and milk chocolate parfait rounded out our courses and each was a beautiful masterpiece. Setting: one word - perfect. The pianist playing on the baby grand was the perfect accoutrement to the quiet ambience. The expanse of windows let in plenty of light and provide a great view of the grounds. We appreciated that the tables were well spaced apart so the experience felt intimate even though other diners were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary celebration and we look forward to visiting again. It’s definitely worth the drive to Cambridge.

Thirteen Food & Beverage offers a pleasant dining experience with a warm welcome and charming decor. The location is ideal, featuring a spacious sidewalk patio. While the food is generally good, some dishes may lack that extra flair. The Korean cauliflower stands out for its perfect balance of spice and drizzle, while the chicken tacos could use more meat despite having solid flavors. The restaurant provides great service and an impressive selection of local beers, with ample indoor seating and an additional outdoor patio on Main Street.
Tried this place on a whim one day when walking around Galt, and now we can't stay away. I'm a lover of French dip sandwiches and I've tried a bunch in the Waterloo region, but this one is probably my favourite. I love the flavour. The main street salad is soo so good, highly recommend. The sticky chicken bowl is now my favourite menu item and I'll be back many times for that one, for sure. Photo is from our most recent visit where my 7yo and I shared the french dip and the chicken bowl. I usually get the main st salad over fries, but I knew the fries would be his first choice. He's still dreaming about the chicken bowl though, he loved it. Told our server he gives the food 5 stars, so there ya have it. Solid review from my 7yo 😉

We ordered takeout for a group of 8+ at the office and it was awesome! Everything was super fresh, tasty, and really well put together. Orders were clearly labelled, which made handing things out easy. Everyone found something they loved – whether it was a burger, bowl, or salad. Great portions, fair prices, and super smooth pickup. Definitely ordering from here again!

Strawberry daiquiri was some kind of salt-rimmed margarita instead of an actual slush daiquiri. Tasted more like watermelon than strawberry too. Look up what a strawberry daiquiri is on Google, I'd be surprised if you find one that looks like this. Didn't help that it was $11. Food was decent, but portions were small enough for me to finish my entire plate and still feel snacky a couple hours later which is rare for me. It was also served cold? I eat fast, but within maybe 2 minutes of being set on the table, all of the heat had been sapped from it and I was left with cold spaghetti and meatballs. My wife's mac and cheese was admittedly pretty awesome though, nice crunch and tasty buttery flavour, even when it was also inevitably cold. Waitress seemed pretty miffed about our general presence there four hours before closing, so it felt unwise to bring up these concerns and have them alleviated.

In September my husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at Thirteen Food & Beverage and we had the most incredible time. Right from the get go the planning process was extremely simple, we had about 25 people attend the rehearsal dinner in their Taproom upstairs and everything was great! The room is absolutely beautiful, there is no need to decorate at all. There is a bar upstairs and the grazing table set up was exactly what we were looking for. The food was delicious and it was also extremely reasonably priced. We cant thank the team enough for all their help, we would definitely recommend this place for any kind of event.
Jade G — Google review
The place is at a great location and we sat on the patio since it was jazz festival and the vibe was great. Ordered food for a family of four. The food arrived very late and we understand such things. However, the chicken wings smelled and tasted weird. I had ordered a quinoa burger and it arrived cold inside out. We asked the server to fix the food since we were hungry and wanted to enjoy our meal. The food was taken inside and after 5 minutes a lady comes out and says " Before I waste money on preparing fresh dishes, can you explain what is wrong”. I was taken aback by this opening however I explained that the burger was super cold and the wings tasted off. To which she argued that to her the burger was fine and she tasted wings and nothing was wrong. I did not want to escalate things, so I just told her to not prepare anything and that I will pay and eat what we have. There was not an iota of customer service shown by her and she went away saying she will not charge for those 2 things. I would not want to visit a place that feels they can show customers down like this.

Was walking around Galt during the Pride Street Party and we needed to eat and get out of the sun. We were seated immediately, and it turns out everything here is good! Solid local tap list (I had a flight) and solid chicken and waffles (not dry and boring, but with hot sauce, eggs, bacon, and syrup. Nice. This is clearly a safe bet for good food, drink, and service.

Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, Beertown Public House is a beloved destination that has played a pivotal role in the rise of this Kitchener-based chain. Known for its extensive menu catering to gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diets, it’s an ideal spot for everyone. This venue has become synonymous with special occasions and memorable dates due to its unwavering commitment to quality service and attention to detail.
Enjoyed a late dinner last night with my wife. First time at Beertown. The restaurant has alot of beer options with a wide selection of dinner and entre options. Our food was delicious, we ordered the calamari as a starter, also a salad and beertown burger. They were excellent. What stood out for us was the customer service. Our server was Stone he was very polite pleasant and polite. We also want to mention that the young lady at the front counter was very attentive and curious as she opened the door for every customer entering and leaving the facility. We approached her to give her thanks. Her name is Brooklyn, I think. Great management. Thank you.

While the service was several levels above other places we’ve visited in the area, the food was mostly just average. The wagyu dog was okay, the hot dog itself was great as was the grilled bun but the toppings didn’t mesh well. That could have been us though, to be fair. The brisket burger was good minus the brisket which was a good bit dry. Without the brisket the burger was very nice and the addition of chips and Cole slaw on the burger worked perfectly! The fries were the most disappointing part, however. They were very bland. We’ll definitely try Beertown again though because the service was excellent and flavor is subjective. The ingredients all seemed to be of high quality with the exception of the French fries. In defense of the restaurant, the manager came around asking how the food was but it was before we really had a chance to eat (not their fault and it was nice they even came around) and we probably wouldn’t have said anything anyway because again, the ingredients were quality and aside from the French fries, the issue could have been just us. We also had the rosy gin fizz and the sour and they were tasty and looked nice.

Beertown Cambridge is a great spot and definitely popular in the neighborhood. The food is pretty good – I especially liked the starters – but the real highlight is their huge selection of beers and drinks. If you’re into trying different brews, this place won’t disappoint. The best part for me was the service though, super friendly and attentive staff who made the visit even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

I've been a few times for drinks and was thrilled to find Austrian beer on draft – a rare treat that hits all the right spots. Last night, I tried their food for the first time, and wow, the poutine with brisket was absolutely delicious – rich, flavorful, and perfectly indulgent. The vibe is great, the service is friendly, and the menu has something for everyone. Highly recommend this spot for beer lovers and foodies alike!

The atmosphere was nice, we were seated quickly and our server was with us quickly. We ordered and received our food in a timely manner. I order a Tuna Poke Salad. After the meals arrived I was disappointed with the portion size of my meal. I mentioned to my husband that I definitely expected something a little more. The flavour was good, but the sauce was overwhelming, which lead me to realize that it was missing the rice noodles. I wondered if I had miss read the menu, as I was expecting a noodle dish. I asked the server and after some confusion we determined the meal was made incorrectly. She was very kind and immediately went to confirm with the kitchen and came back to let me know they were making a new one. Since my kids were done their meal and we had to be on our way, I asked to take it home. She said absolutely. She brought the new meal in a sealed paper bag, we tipped her well because she had been so kind and were on our way. Fast forward I'm ready to eat my meal on our 3hr drive home and it's not even my meal. Not even an actual meal. Appears to be a portion of soggy poutine, and a container with raw tuna, and two sauces that were not from my original order..... The kitchen screwed up a meal, got a second chance and messed that up too. Major fail Beertown.

Thanks Abby for another OUTSTANDING dining experience!! UPDATE: Enjoyed a celebratory dinner here and Beertown staff went out of their way to ensure that it was very special. From the chalkboard sign and party balloon on display at the table, to the outstanding service from Ivy and Rachel, we couldn’t have been more impressed! Thank you! Definitely a six star experience. Was excited to find that this place provided extensive vegan options for our visitors and was very impressed with how tasty their vegan food was (especially the vegan fried chicken- who knew?!!) The vegan brownie for dessert was delicious. In addition, they had some non alcoholic beers available. The regular menu options were good but I was more wowed with the vegan versions. A definite do over, especially for our vegan friends.

Consonantly good 👍 every time we come to the Keg for dinner it is amazing! Great service, friendly staff. Delicious menu and features. Good selection of cocktails, wine and beer. Our last visit was May 5 2025 and its worth mentioning that all US wines were out of stock. But not to worry, Italian, Australian, French and of course our own Ontario wines are available 🍷🍷🍷. Reservation is recommended, we didn't and the wait time was 40min . Didn't take that long, we enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited. The restaurant was busy! Happy to say that didn't affect the service.👍 We enjoyed the Neptune Mushrooms, fantastic Ribeye Steak 🥩, my husband had the prime rib (cooked just perfect, medium rare) and added a lobster tail 🦞. It was delicious 😋!!! It's a bit pricey but the portions are very generous. We like to come here a few times a year. Always the perfect meal! Lots of parking as this restaurant is in a mall plaza. Right off of Hwy 401, couldn't be easier to get to.

I had the most fabulous experience at The Keg, Cambridge last night. Mike was our server and he was training Sarah. Both showed such elevated care and attention to detail. It was absolutely refreshing to receive this kind of service and hospitality. I have a gluten allergy and most dining experiences cause me some stress as I feel it's very inconvenient but a Manager came to the table, explained the process and ensured that my meal would be handled with care. Mike made a fabulous wine recommendation, and walked me through my order. We tried something new and was not disappointed. We'll absolutely ask for him again. Thanks for a great night out.

My husband and I went there for our 10 year anniversary, because we had a 50$ gift card . We went kinda early as we both work long hours and didn’t want to go later . We were greeted and promptly seated the hostess was very polite and professional. Our waiter Brawn was absolutely wonderful very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He was so nice as well making sure we had all we needed . The food was excellent we had the Gouda spinach dip which was amazing to start off then my husband ordered the lobster and steak with mashed potatoes and I ordered the filet mignon With seasonal veggies, it was all delicious and cooked to perfection. It was so satisfying even though it’s a pretty staple dish as was my husband’s. Then to top it off they gave us this wonderful ice cream cake as a treat for our anniversary it was also amazing we were so stuffed at the end but it was all so good ! The staff as a whole were courteous and friendly I was amazed as as of recent most restaurants are not up to this standard. With even the kitchen manager wishing us a good night as we left . I’m so impressed we will be back soon as holiday season is nearing .

We went with a group of 6 people. Everyone ordered steaks, beers and two bottles of wine. We arrived at 6:15 and ordered our food in the first 10 minutes. At 7:30 we were told our food was coming and the kitchen was backed up. Our food didn't arrive until 8pm. Shrimp cold one one of the steaks, another steak was so tough that we just turned it back and our friend didn't want to wait another 1.5 hours for a steak so he just left hungry. No offer for comps on drinks or appetizers. At the end of the night I asked for a slice of cheesecake and I was asked what bill they should put it on. I laughed, cancelled the cheesecake and we left. >$900 bill, over 1.5 hours for food and no consideration for our time. Go to Kitchener or Guelph instead. This location only cares about their bottom line

Nestled in a cozy corner, The Easy Pour Wine Bar is the perfect destination for those seeking a relaxed atmosphere paired with exquisite global tapas and charcuterie. This charming venue not only serves delightful dishes like Baked Brie and Seared Scallops but also offers an impressive selection of wines to complement your meal. With live music enhancing the ambiance, it’s an ideal spot for romantic dinners or gatherings with friends.
Took the wife here for dinner. The food didn't disappoint and the love music created a really nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend. Just don't get the creme brulee, it was the only thing that disappointed. Otherwise everything else was excellent. Best gnocchi we've had, served with a very generous ball of cheese in the center. Delicious!

This was the worst meal I have ever had. I sent a complaint and no-one responded. I had the scallops. There were 4 of them and they tasted like pesticides. Inedible. It came with half a corn on the cob that had written kernels in it and no seasoning. The other thing on the plate was a very small amount of mixed greens...with no dressing. That was $37. The wine was good but it was $16 for 6oz and they were out of my first 2 choices. Ill never return and never recommend. Its a shame because the location is so beautiful. P.S. I'm a professional in food services with 20 years experience. So Im qualified. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do Better Folks.

Great atmosphere, and great food. The only two downfalls are: tap water tastes funny...just order some sparkling water instead, and the parking lot is tinny. I come often totally recommend this place great food, service and a nice evening or lunch hang out experience. the appetizers are a great option. And love music on Fridays . I recommend the flat breads , the cream brulee is to die for and the lamb appetizers you can see it on my pictures.

An Unforgettably Awful Experience – Slow Service, Pitiful Portions, Rude Owner, and Highway Robbery Prices I rarely write negative reviews, but my recent dining experience at [Restaurant Name] was so catastrophically bad that I feel compelled to warn others. This establishment is a perfect storm of terrible service, laughably overpriced food, insultingly small portions, and an owner who treats customers with outright contempt. 1. Service: Did the Staff Forget They Were Running a Restaurant? From the moment we walked in, it was clear that efficiency was not in this restaurant’s vocabulary. Despite the dining room being half-empty, we waited 20 minutes just to be seated. Once we were, our server took another 30 minutes to acknowledge our existence—and that was only after I flagged them down. When we finally ordered, the real nightmare began. Our appetizers took 45 minutes to arrive, and our main courses didn’t show up until an hour and a half later. At one point, I saw multiple tables around us—who had been seated after us—get their food first. When we asked about the delay, our server mumbled something about the kitchen being "backed up" and then disappeared again. I wouldn't blame her it seems they were very understaffed. 2. The Food: Tiny Portions, Outrageous Prices, and Zero Flavor If the glacial service wasn’t bad enough, the food itself was a masterclass in disappointment. Portions Fit for a Hamster My partner’s chicken dish looked like something you’d get in an elementary school cafeteria—dry, flavourless, and barely larger than a deck of cards. 3. The Owner: The Rude Cherry on Top of This Garbage Sundae The absolute highlight of this disaster was the owner. When we (politely!) expressed our disappointment with the wait and the food, he didn’t apologize—instead, he crossed his arms, smirked, and said "Well, maybe you should stick to fast food if you can’t appreciate fine dining." Excuse me? **Fine dining?** This was barely a step above a frozen TV dinner. When I pointed out that paying for two tiny, poorly prepared meals was unacceptable, he actually rolled his eyes and walked away. Unbelievable. Final Thoughts: A Complete Scam I have no idea how this place stays in business. If you enjoy wasting money, waiting forever, and being treated like an inconvenience, then by all means—give this dump a try. Otherwise........ 0/10 – One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Oh, I feel for the servers, poor girl was overworked & I'm sure severely underpaid.

A huge thank- you to the owners Nicoleta & Alin for their hospitality and kindness in making my proposal a perfect day. My now fiancé surprised me with the proposal of my dreams at the Easy Pour Wine house. The atmosphere, service and food was spectacular. The owner greeted us shortly after and said not to worry or rush as we had the space as long as we needed it. The vibes were perfect. I absolutely loved the rustic feel and how comfortable and relaxed it was. My fiancé had no issues and was content with everything and the planning of it all. The Easy Pour Wine Bar will always hold a memory for us! We cannot wait to go back and recommend this place to our friends and family! The overall experience was perfect from start to finish! Shout out to our server Christa for being so attentive and lovely! We will be back! For reference of what we ordered: We ordered the cheeseboard, Caesar salad, gnocchi and the blackened Salmon. For dessert we did the sticky toffee and it all was so good we didn’t leave any to waste, not even a crumb! Not to mention the drinks were so good! (Moscow mule, whiskey sour, and Pinot Grigio)

What an awesome little spot to enjoy fine food and beverage. We were lucky enough to add live music to that as well. They often have live music and the vibe is exactly what you would think and hope for. We went during the most recent snow storm and that didn’t change a thing. It might have made it even more cozy there. The lamb is outstanding and the salad it sits on, is worth all the hype also. A great spot for a nice date night or dinner with friends. We shared a number of appetizers with our friends and a couple bottles of wine and can say it was an excellent evening. The music was also perfect. From playlist to sound quality and volume. We will be back, that’s for sure.

Great food and wine! And wonderful service too! You do need a reservation as the place is small but very quaint with a great atmosphere. Last night the bartender/ sommelier /server (Sadie) was awesome 👍. She right away made our evening fun. Very friendly, you could tell a smile even though she wore a mask. It's been a while since we were here and she asked what type of wine 🍷 I would like. After I described a full body, dry, red. .. she with confidence brought me a full glass to try her recommendation. And it was perfect. An old Vine zinfandel. Wow I think I found a new favorite wine lol. For dinner we shared the mussels. And they were delicious!! The sauce you want to eat with a spoon 🥄 it's so good. For the main, i had the sundried tomatoes chicken on a bed of pasta 🍝 mmmmm mmm good! And my hubby had the lamb 🐑 medium rare, and he too said it was done perfect. We were not going to have dessert, but after a great suggestion from our server Sadie, we had a taffy/ caramel slice of cheese 🧀. What? Yes lol. It was like a very dense cheesecake. And it tasted like caramel/taffy. Really good. We will definitely be back. They used to have live music here before the pandemic. Hopefully that will return some time soon. The restaurant has two levels, if you can't do stairs you should mention it when you book your reservation.

I took my family here for dinner, and the service was great! Our server (Logan) was very friendly and made us laugh. The owner noticed my kids weren’t eating the app we ordered because it was too spicy so he made a special request to the kitchen and surprised us with their very own with no spice in it free of charge!! We enjoyed all of our meals and everything was delicious! We will definitely be back again soon! :)

We ordered a steak and ribs platter and some burgers with fries and three cocktails. The food and drinks took over 30minutes to be served. Not even water was served before the order was served even though we requested. That was a bit weird especially because they had few customers. They had a big drawing paper and crayons that kept us busy while our food was being prepared and we thought that was really nice. Our server, Chad, was amazing too. He wrote his name really fast and effortlessly backwards, so we can read it clearly and we spent almost 20mins writing our names backwards on the drawing sheets, as well as drawing birthday cake. When the food came, it was totally worth the wait and the drinks were amazing - their pina colada is one of the best I’ve tastes in KWC region yet.

The menu features items like bacon and goat cheese salad, elk meatloaf paired with mushroom risotto, Buffalo Chicken Poutine, Obie burger with crispy fries, and spinach dip. Diners also enjoy the decadent brownie & ice cream for dessert.
Great dinner ... again! Drove here (from north part of waterloo) just because my wife wanted to have their bacon and goat cheese salad, again. As usual, all was great ... fantastic food (one of the best ceasar salads in tri-city area), friendly and knowledgeable staff that actually remembers you. Had the elk meatloaf for first time, and it was cooked flawlessly ... paired perfectly with a mushroom risotto. Finished the meal with the decadent brownie & ice cream ... suffice it to say, the brownie didn't last long. We'll be back.

Very small but cozy, trendy restaurant with amazing service. We came to Obie’s after reading the amazing reviews. We were greeted at the door, and had our orders taken promptly. The restaurant is dimly lit with dark features giving it a very relaxed, cool vibe. The Caesar we were served was enjoyed by the pickiest Caesar critic, and the fountain drinks came with paper straws which was awesome! Love that they’re on board with this environmentally friendly alternative! I have given Obie’s a 3 star rating based on a few things: First, the kids menu is very small. I believe there were about 3 or 4 options. We ordered our daughter the fried chicken and found it tasted awful. I also really disliked my pasta. It was so bland and heavy, covered in very thick sauce. It lacked any flavour other than pieces of sour, stringy tomatoes. Salt and pepper could not save it, in the least. The Obie’s poutine however, was amazing and the famous Obie’s burger was good. Despite the two horrible meals we received, we would still return to Obie’s because of the wonderful service, atmosphere, cleanliness, bevy’s, and burgers and poutine. I would probably just stick with what they’re known for and share with our child.
Trevor D — Google review
I've now eaten at Obie's twice now, and both times the food and service has been excellent. Today, with a group of people we ordered the pulled pork tacos as an appetizer and the flavour combination was sensational! (We ate them so fast, we couldn't take a photo) The entrees were fantastic as well, never disappointed when ordering anything off the menu. However, today was the first time we ordered desert, the cheesecake, creme brûlée, and the chocolate mousse. All three deserts were amazing!! I highly recommend Obie's, you will NOT be disappointed.

Came in around 7pm on a Saturday to a nice quiet atmosphere with amazing service. Ordered the Buffalo Chicken Poutine to start. Looked way good (so good we couldn’t even take a photo before digging in). We each had an Obie burger and fries and all I can say is WOW. Huge portions, fresh veggies, yummy crispy onions and pickles, and definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had! Fires were also so so good and nice and crispy! Will Definitely be back soon! Thanks guys!

Couldn't decide what I wanted for dinner & hubby and I decided to go for burgers. Glad we finally tried Obie's. It's AMAZING. Well worth the money. Large burger, crispy fries (even on take out), spin dip was also really good. All in all, BUSSIN'. 100/10.

Ben Thanh is a vibrant dining spot that has captured the hearts of many over the years. With its spacious layout, it offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes that cater to different tastes. While some diners have found certain items like vermicelli noodles and pho to be average, others rave about their favorites such as Chicken Vermicelli and Pad Thai, which have remained consistently delicious for decades. The atmosphere is lively, often bustling with patrons enjoying their meals together.
Ive been coming here for 20 years and the food has Never disappointed. The 303, 424B and 422 Pad Thai is so consistent and hasn’t changed all these years. By far some of the best dishes on the menu as well as their Pho soup, wonton soups and bubble teas. This has now become a family tradition to come here and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for the wonderful service all these years

Visited this restaurant recently and I had a very good experience. Chicken Vermicelli was spot on and it will be my favourite dish. I had minor issue with Satay Chicken with Rice Noodle, as chicken felt overcooked and rubbery. Other items we tried were Mango Avacado Rolls which is a good try and Vegetable and chicken dumpling which is usual. It was a good atmosphere which seats filled and had lot of moving crowd. Overall a good dine in experience.

Recommend: • cantonese chow mein • squid tentacles (expensive but so worth it!!) • deep fried calamari w/ wasabi mayo • lemongrass chicken • pho • curry Skip: • boba (it’s not tapioca pearls, it’s the “agar bubbles/jellies”) • rainbow boba (it was just thick coconut milk! Like the one that comes in the cans) • mixed vegetables (not worth the price, I thought it was going to be a mix of the 4 vegetables you can choose from for a different menu item: snow peas, asparagus, bok choy, i forget the other one, but it was just cheap veggies and the celery was old and fibrous)

I was craving Vietnamese noodles and visited this restaurant close to closing time. The place is quite large. We ordered the vermicelli noodles and the regular beef pho to share. The taste was just average, not particularly impressive. Usually, at Vietnamese restaurants, there are small bowls on the table for sauces. I like dipping my food in the spicy and sweet sauces, but they weren’t available here. I considered asking for them, but since it was near closing time, I just ate without dipping sensation. There are plenty of seats, so it doesn’t seem like you’d have to wait long for a table.

We haven’t been to Lone Star for a while so we wanted to like it. Got a gift card for $50 so figured to go try their wing night - $0.85 per wing on Wednesdays. The place had a lot of open tables, yet when we walked in, we were told it’s a 7.5 min wait. Ok, we waited. The place was more than half empty throughout our whole meal. Why the wait? We’re not trying to get into a club. The server was nice but didn’t know sizes of pitcher of beer versus their largest glasses so by the time it took to figure that out, the table that showed up after us placed their order and got their food. We finally got beer and the server asked what we wanted to order, we asked if the chips and salsa no longer come complimentary and the response was “oh, you want some?!” - yes please. The non-breaded wings were cooked well but there was barely any sight of sauce on them so had to ask for dipping sauce. Whereas the breaded ones were so greasy that there was a puddle of grease on the plate, and grease running down our hands. Ugh. Again, we wanted to like the overall experience so we could bring our friends next time but we agree that this visit makes us not want to go back. Sad really as this place is close to our neighbourhood.

We were a little concerned walking in as we saw at least three very large groups still waiting for their orders still. As it turns out, our waitress was very attentive and our food came quickly. It was delicious! Not the quietest of restaurants as it is open concept but it’s still easy to have a conversation with the people at your table. We had made a reservation which wasn’t totally necessary on this day but I would recommend making one on weekends, just to be safe!

Went here with my son and his grandma. They had a good experience. They ordered chimichinga, and chicken tacos... I ordered a taco salad. Big mistake 🙄 guys, or management of this restaurant maybe you should goto a place that know what is in a good taco salad. Yea, goto wendy's and learn what makes a descent taco salad and then after you try that ask yourself why you justify over $22+tax for your chicken, cheese and lettuce bowl. Thanks!

We ordered a small steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus, proceeded by tortilla chips and salsa. We asked for medium well but received medium rare. We sent it back and about 15 minutes later, a newly cooked steak arrived, along with an extra serving of mashed potatoes for waiting. The steak was terrible. It was very tough and completely tasteless. The mashed potatoes were hot and tasted ok. The asparagus was the best tasting party of the meal, but it was over seasoned, very salty. The tortilla chips were great, among the best we've tasted in our travels. The salsa was mild and chunky, perfect for my wife but I like mine a bit spicier. We decided we should have eaten Mexican food since it's their specialty. The service was good, and the extra mashed potatoes to compensate for our wait was a nice touch. The environment was nice, somewhat upscale. The restroom was clean and bright.

Went there for a youngsters bday. It was good. The service was great the one server was SUPER PATIENT considering... the food was good too. Had a good selection for kids meals. The chicken wings were pretty massive!

Ordered through Uber eats for dinner. For an avacado salad, missing the avacado and radishes, it was basically just lettuce and a tiny portion of chicken. The remaining toppings were barely there, like 2 cherry tomatoes and a tbsp of beans. For $27 you'd expect more than lettuce and a literal sprinkling of what was advertised. The rest of my order was good, chips and dip, wrap, and churros were tasty, but I feel ripped off because this salad would not have been served if I was in the restaurant. I added a photo. I'd eaten a small portion of the lettuce and I kid you not 2 beans and 2 pieces of chicken before I realized the avacado was missing.
Brandi W — Google review
It’s nice that they give you free chips and salsa for the table. I had the chicken strips and they were just okay. I think the fryer needed a change of oil as the strips had a burnt taste. Service was excellent by Nevada. Guac at the table was good too. Prices seemed high for what you get but that seems to be a trend these days. Overall, just okay experience.

Tried Gator's Tail tonight. Thursday $5 off ribs and was pleasantly surprised at the food that was a bit above average. Home made coleslaw, had sweet potato fries with Gator dip and it was all good. A Couple domestic beer to wash it down it came out to just over 56 with tip. Ill go back likely on karaoke night (Friday) or a Yuk Yuks night where I was informed tickets are now $25. Good TV setup in the bar with a tiny stage in the dinning area for karaoke or the comedy shows. Good crowd by the looks of it and service was good. It's not a five star restaurant but it's better than the average sports bar.

The service really good. However the food was subpar. I regret trying somewhere new. Had the blooming onion. I’ve had better. I’d rate it 5/10. I also had the cheese sticks which are mozzarella sticks. But they didn’t have marinara sauce to eat them with, which is criminal. I had to eat them with salsa. I wish I had known that before placing the order. would I eat here again? Probably not. is it good if you’re hungry? It’s decent enough.

I took my family to Gators tonight and we had the best experience, the service was 5☆ and the food was yummy and hot. It's been a long while since we had service like that and we can't thank the staff enough for everything they do! Keep up the good work

I can't say enough good things about this place. We have been twice (we live out out of town)we have had the same server both times. A young gentleman whom is so friendly and knowledgeable. The food is amazing and we love the gator tail bites those are a must try. Make sure to also check out the countless local beverage options. Will return anytime we are in the area.

Red Basil Vietnamese Restaurant is a cozy and relaxed eatery in Vietnam, featuring uncomplicated decor and specializing in rice dishes, pho, and other traditional delicacies. Customers rave about the enjoyable outdoor dining experience they had, particularly praising the delectable mango shrimp rolls that left a lasting impression. Another standout dish was the crispy duck accompanied by tangy orange sauce and served with peanut sauce on the side. They also sampled flavorful noodle options such as Singapore noodles abundant in succulent shrimp.
Update: EXCEPTIONAL supper enjoyed here. Staff were so kind and friendly, helpful with choosing items suitable for our vegan companion. Everything was Delicious! Used to grab lunch here whenever downtown and food was consistently great. It had been a while since we were in the area so recently ordered take out. Still excellent and reasonably priced. They do excellent vegetarian spring rolls, and a favourite is the crispy chicken with peanut sauce. It comes with plain steamed rice and a crunchy mix of bean sprouts, shredded carrots and onions. My companions who are familiar with Vietnamese cuisine raved about their dishes, so I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered here for the first time. I got the green vegetable curry and the curry was not great. It was moreso a sauce on top than a curry and it just tasted like bland oil. The dish was also completely separated between oil and a slight amount of goopy curry. I also did not get the rice that was supposed to come with it.
C P — Google review
They’re a very busy place, and understandably so. During our entire 40 mins visit to the restaurant, we were asked if we were ready to order/ready for a takeout box 4 times, which was not my favourite part of the experience. The menu has a very interesting selection, and the back kitchen definitely has the competency to make it. The back kitchen looked very clean too, which was great. For anyone expecting authentic Asian flavours, though, do note that this is more of a retro fusion place. They do a good job tailoring the taste of the dishes towards the preferences of their preferred customers. Everything was too sweet and too much like a retro Asian takeout place for me, but I’m sure they would be just right for those who prefer that kind of thing.

I had the udon noodles as I was outside for an event, and was stationed outside of this restaurant. Being family owned, they were incredibly friendly and very kind. I will absolutely drive the one hour plus to come back and grab the same meal again. Highly recommend! 100 stars out of 10.

Amazing! If you have never been, you have no idea what you are missing. You'll be amazed at the size of their menu and the quality of their food. I go as often as I can, but their limited hours really make it difficult for me to go as much as I would like. I would have given it a 5-star rating, but went with a 4-start simply because their limited hours make it difficult to dine here unless you plan ahead.

It was my first time here. Walked in, didn't clearly state to seat wherever I had to ask. It wasn't too busy, so it was quiet and relaxing. The restaurant had a nice upscale feel without the hosh posh nonsense. Food. I got a PHO opt. #27 and a fried spring roll appetizer. I didn't take pics of the sping roll. Ate them too fast! The pho, ugh, how do you describe smell and taste? When I took that first initial sip of the broth, my taste buds lit up! It was incredible! The subtle hint of licorice from the basil was my first note, and it was heaven from there. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

We really had a nice time at the Red Basil. It was a very relaxed place. The food was very tasty and fresh. The service was fast and friendly. The owner even stopped by our table to check on us. I recommend if you are looking for a casual lunch or supper out.

I came in with family and friends. Food was solid however the menu was entirely in English which was a bit of a shock to me since every other Vietnamese restaurant would have their meanie in Vietnamese. The service was incredible as my brother’s drink was compensated for being just a few minutes late. The vibe of the restaurant did feel like other Vietnamese restaurants however the English music in the background did throw us off. Overall the experience was good for downtown Cambridge

Saffron Indian Cuisine is a casual dining spot in north-central Cambridge, offering a wide range of vegan and vegetarian Indian dishes with customizable spice levels and gluten-free options. The restaurant provides both dine-in and takeout services, with a diverse menu featuring vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, biryani, various bread options, and an array of Tandoor-cooked dishes.
Excellent authentic Indian cuisine. The food is very well made, great taste and courteous staff. The place is well maintained and organized. Easy to access with plenty of parking. I have been multiple times previously to Saffron and will definitely come back in future.

This is a very nice Indian restaurant. The food was good, very large portions, and friendly staff. We ordered butter chicken, and chicken biryani with garlic nann. The only complaint was that the staff seemed to mistaken our order frequently. First they messed up our pops, which are also none refillable. When asked if they do refills we were told yes, and had our drinks refilled. But that was an extra charge on the bill that we didn't see coming. Then they mixed up our spice levels. We asked for the butter chicken to be medium, and the biryani to not be spicy. But we got the opposite. Spicy biryani and very mild butter chicken. Even when the server came and asked we told him the biryani was spicy, but we were told it was not. When the bill was brought over, it said clearly that the biryani was medium and the butter chicken was mild. As well as the non refillable drinks. After we paid the server apologized for the mixup. No attempt to amend or anything. Just out of luck for us. Overall the food was good and staff were pleasant. Just wish we got what we asked for.

we ordered 1 veg and 1 non veg thali, believe me guys the price for these thali is quite cheap as compared to the quality of food plus the quantity of the food its the best you will be served in entire KWC. Moreover the portion being served is fulfilling. Now talking about customer service, we entered the restaurant and saw an 100 volts of smile greeting us, that was deepti. She aloted us table and in minutes she got water and menu, so helpful with the suggestions and made my Sunday wonderful. Worth coming here the ambience is so beautiful and comparatively better than any other loud music restaurant where you cannot even spend quality time with your loved ones, so save this place for the best food and quality time with your family/ boyfriend/friends. Tysm for this wonderful meal and experience.

Deepti and saai sia is the star of the restaurant 🥰🥰 After moving to the cambridge, we were looking for a restaurant with good food. Finally we have found one. The masala tikka paneer is my favourite one. The gol gappe and the dahi puri is so good. Their bread is so delicious. We have liked everything we have tasted. Just the chilli chicken was okayish. But from now on whoever is visiting us, we are taking them to saffron for the dine out. We love it here. A must visit restaurant.

Country Girl Family Restaurant is a relaxed and family-oriented eatery that serves tasty comfort food all day long. If you're in the mood for a simple yet satisfying meal, this breakfast spot is a popular choice. Located in Cambridge, the staff at Country Girl are very friendly and the food they serve is excellent. Don't miss out on trying their delicious blueberry pancakes! The server named Allisson was delightful, and overall the entire team here is attentive and genuine.
Had breakfast here with a few family members visiting from India and the USA who also strictly avoid eggs. We are vegetarians, and the dishes we ordered had no eggs and were full of flavour. I do not remember all the exact names, but one was suggested by the staff and it turned out great. Everything was fresh, well presented, and portions were good. Prices are fair, the place has a nice atmosphere, and the staff took good care of us. Would love to see a vegan omelette or tofu scramble option in the future.

All smiles from the staff from the moment we walked in the door. Our waiter was so pleasant and attentive. Menu has many options & prices were very reasonable for the portion size. As someone who loves Eggs Benedict (crab Benedict- WOW!) and a Mimosa, this place has a great selection of both. Finally found our Cambridge breakfast spot!

This was my first time at Country Girl Family Restaurant and I had a great breakfast. My server Sofia was attentive and quick on service, there was barely any wait time and that’s likely due to how fast the tables are turned over, and the food was hot and tasty. I ordered a traditional breakfast with European Polish Sausage , which cost me around $22, $25 when you add in the tip. The portion sizes were big enough that I felt full and had enough to take home in a box to eat as a snack later. As a coffee lover, I especially loved that there was a carafe of coffee left on the table so I could just refill when I wanted. I wish more places did this! The coffee had no dregs at the bottom of the cup, and I was able to enjoy it black no problem. Recommend this breakfast joint in Cambridge to anyone looking for a fast, hot breakfast with quick service.

Quality of food was great! Menu has both a wide selection of trendy picks and top notch classics. Plating is professional. They were super busy over the lunch hour and this did cause a bit of a longer wait, but there were some key success points from the team: 1. The drinks were served immediately after ordering 2. When the food did come, all food came within the same 2 minute window and everything was hot. 3. The server was friendly and smiling from ear to ear even with the quick pace she was working to serve a very large section solo. If you're on a tight lunch hour this might not be the right pick, but if you have the time to chat and relax, the food will be worth it.

Wow!! Very fast service!! Waitress was efficent checking in often, as for food, my spouce didnt like the chicken waffle benny that much, said the egg tasted weird on it) but that may be someone elses kind of thing, candian benny was delicious and had huge pieces of pemeal bacon and lots of sauce. Prices seemed reasonable, the atmosphere was very nice and clean, it was very buisy so must be a popular spot for the people who live in the area. We were in and out in less than an hour so that was great as we had a couple hour drive ahead of us! Thanks!

This place was totally fine. Experience is boosted a bit by the boisterous atmosphere and solid service, but the food is bog-standard diner fare with quality to match. Servicably made and woefully underseasoned, this is precisely what one expects from an establishment like this, for better or worse. There were a couple babies in our party, and we got a nice big booth, but I wouldn’t go here for the food alone.

I was doubtful about returning to an east side location once again as I had been to several in the past and encountered terrible customer service on numerous occasions. The only reason I kept going back was for the unlimited bread and salad option. However, after a long period of time, I decided to give it another chance last night and it turned out to be great! The food arrived promptly, and our server (Erica, if I remember correctly) was extremely friendly.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review ~Renee G I had an excellent dining experience at Eastside Mario’s today. The highlight of my visit was the outstanding service provided by my server, Renee G. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, guided me effortlessly through my options, and helped me select the perfect meal. Throughout the evening, her attentiveness and warmth made me feel truly welcome, almost like I was at home. Even if the food hadn’t been as great as it was, I would still rate this place highly because of the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere. The staff clearly cares about their guests, and Renee G. went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable night. I highly recommend Eastside Mario’s for the amazing food and its top-notch service and fantastic staff. I look forward to returning soon!

Visited East Side Mario’s and had an okay experience overall. The service and atmosphere were fine, nothing particularly memorable, but nothing to complain about either. We tried two appetizers: 1. Cheese Spinach Dip This one was a hit. It was creamy, flavorful, and paired nicely with the garlic twist bread. The tomato basil bruschetta on top added a fresh touch. A solid starter. 2. Gnocchi Fritti Unfortunately, this didn’t live up to expectations. The gnocchi wasn’t crispy as described and was more on the soft/dense side, which made it a bit underwhelming. That said, the pesto aioli served on the side was really good and helped salvage the dish a bit. In summary, it was a middle-of-the-road experience. The spinach dip is worth ordering, but I’d skip the gnocchi next time

Really windy but they still let us go out on the patio as the sun was out and wanted to enjoy as long as we can. Server was amazing( even though I can't remember her name). She was very good at recommendations without being pushy. There was a mix up with the sauce I ordered on my pasta. She came out and I said it was still good, she still replaced the pasta right away. I've been to this location a couple of times and will definately be back.

As we stepped into the cozy restaurant, our stomachs were growling with anticipation. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect backdrop for our evening. We were fortunate to be assigned to Holly, our server, who turned out to be a true gem. From the moment she approached our table, her friendly demeanor and keen attention to detail made us feel right at home. One of our family members has serious food allergies, which can often add a layer of stress to dining out. However, Holly handled our concerns with great care and expertise. She took the time to explain the menu options and even double-checked with the kitchen to ensure there would be no risk of cross-contamination. Thanks to her diligence, we were able to relax and enjoy our meal without worry. The food was delicious, and we savored every bite, grateful for the thoughtful service that made our dining experience truly enjoyable.

This hands down is one of my favourite places in town. I came here for lunch with my sister and we were so appreciative of how friendly our server was and the food quality. The Bang Bang Shrimp is always fresh, crispy and juicy, while the tuna tartare was delicious even tho the rice was a little too deep fried this time. We also got the Jalapeno Burger which is a special until early December and well worth trying! Everything was cooked fresh and tasted fantastic, and we even got a side Caesar salad for free since our order was mixed up on accident. Had the absolute best experience at lunch today at State& Main. We ordered 2 different salads and both were delicious. Fresh and great presentation. Great service as well. This restaurant is consistent with the variety of food, quality of food and service. It’s a far better deal than the Gaslight District where the food and service can vary and parking is a nightmare. Lots of free parking at S&M. I urge Cambridge residents to come back to Hespeler Road. You won’t be disappointed,!

Much better than I expected. This place has a wonderful atmosphere, and honestly some of the best customer service I've had at any restaurant I've been too. The menu is relatively small but almost everything on there is high quality. Bombay Sizzler is a charming Indian eatery that has been delighting patrons for over 13 years with its authentic flavors and warm atmosphere. As you step inside, the inviting ambiance and enticing aromas immediately set the stage for a delightful dining experience. The menu features traditional dishes like butter chicken and saag paneer, alongside must-try items such as their delicious onion bhajis and Northern-style meat samosas.
!!!Try the Onion Bhaji’s!!! Tasty Food and Kind People. Definitely my go too Canadian Indian Restaurant. I have been ordering food from here for 10+ years and I’ve never had any inconveniences or issues. The atmosphere when you walk in is warm and inviting. Not to mention it smells amazing the moment you walk in. The man at the counter/on the phone is always very nice and patient, he even takes the time to explain the menu items if need be. The restaurant/itself is clean and well kept. The food is consistently delicious, the sauces are always so creamy and everything is so deep/rich in flavour. They also have many options for dietary restricted, my spouse has celiac disease and has many options. You can tell they do not rush their food or cut corners in the kitchen. I give a solid 10/10 simply because they have been in business for 13 years and they have been consistent with their food, portion sizes and customer service since day one.

I visited Bombay Sizzler today and had good experience. The staff mentioned the shop has been here for 13 years, and we can feel that long-standing charm. I tried their tea and meat samosa it had a nice Northern-style flavour, which is good. The shop itself has a clean and welcoming ambience. The only downside I noticed was the limited parking – seems like it’s mostly roadside. But overall, a good spot to stop by if you’re in the area.

Bombay Sizzler is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in town! The dishes are crafted with fresh ingredients and the perfect blend of spices, which gives each bite a unique, satisfying taste. The sizzlers are a showstopper – sizzling hot and packed with flavor. Service was great- quick to order and serve, food was nice and hot although restaurant was pretty dead. Parking lot had plenty of space. Food was fine- haddock was good, cod was good. Seafood plate was a little underwhelming in appearance, could have used a little extra colour on the plate. Washrooms were a little smelly and restaurant was quite dated.

My wife and I a seafood platter consisting of fish, shrimp and scallops. All were tasty but heavily beaded. We also hand a chef salad, but not the kind that i'm not used to.In the united states. It consisted of lettuce, cabbage, and radishes. Still the salad was fresh. For dessert, we had soft serve ice cream and coconut cream pie. Both we're very good. The service was great. First time in cambridge decided to grab a bite here. I mean i don't mind spending money on food, however it felt like I Paid more for the batter, very little fish for the price. U could tell waiter was in Experienced, when he didnt find us for a few mins and would come around at the corner and ask are we OK.. Ok so not all bad news, my wife's dish or club sandwich was a killer.. so good... I should have gone with that instead. My haddock was tasty just a small battered version. For the price not worth it.. Would I come bye again sure but not for fish and chips. Maybe for the club sandwich.

The food is amazing.the service could use a bit of a shine, there is usually 1 server working the whole floor. tarter sauce is in packets, wish they had fresh or a jar or squeeze bottle, the packets are bad for greasy fingers and the environment. Too bad the pop is not fountain pop and refillable. This place could change a few things. But they are super clean, food is hot and fresh and not to mention delicious. The fish was crispy outside and perfectly cooked inside. They even took us in for dine in about 40 mins before closing time. This spot is ALWAYS busy for take out! We know why! Would definitely eat here again, this was my 3rd time :)

I loved this place, the food, the service and the restaurant overall! I ordered the pho soup with chicken , red curry noodle soup and a mango salad. I personally loved the pho! I would definitely recommend you coming here for lunch or dinner!

Honestly the best Thai food in all of Ontario! No joke. The flavor of every dish is an experience words can't convey. The staff and owners are amazing and very sweet. The prices are average comparitively and not over priced. The quantity is large size plates full of food. The freshness is amazing, that every dish is so fresh EVERY time no matter what. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If your looking for a very desirable Thai experience, look no further! I recommend the " Five Flavor" dish that's there specialty

The service was good, but the food was okay. I ordered 2 dishes for takeout and the pad see ew was way overcooked and mushy. What a waste of money as it was like eating starch. Horrible!
A E — Google review
Honestly, this experience was bad. Paid just under $70 for 3 dishes for takeout last month, and they were all bad - See the photos. The first concern should be that there was not 1 person in the restaurant just before 7 pm on a Thursday. The Noodle dish was definitely cooked a day or more ago and sat in the fridge. They were all stuck together and took the shape of the container just like they do when you have leftovers 2 days later. They didn't even have the courtesy of tossing it in a pan so it mimics a freshly cooked dish. The curry was basically red water with no flavor and runny as ever - more like a soup consistency. The highlight was the shrimp dish, which wasn't as bad as the other two but not anywhere close to worth the money paid for it. Portion sizes are tiny, 3 dishes should feed 4 people, but not here. I don't have many 1-star reviews unless it's really, really bad, and this experience was a glaring example. I definitely will not go back to give a second chance based on the price and quality, so visit at your own risk. I sincerely hope my experience was an anomaly

My husband and I have been coming to Coconut Thai for many years. The staff are so pleasant! They ask us about our kids who use to come with us when they were younger. We always order the chicken curry stir fry with rice, the five flavors with rice, their Massaman and the chicken pad thai. We love this restaurant and are always pleased when we leave.

Thai Coconut Island restaurant offers a delightful theme inside, creating a pleasant ambiance. The customer service is notably friendly, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. I must highlight the super mango sticky rice; it's the best I've tasted in Kitchener, a true standout. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the disappointing presentation of the food, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

Expanding our foodie experiences while hosting a vegan guest so was happy to discover this little gem nestled in a strip mall. Loved the veggie spring rolls-so fresh and crispy. The Mango Stir Fry was excellent; companions enjoyed the Thai Green Curry Vegetable w/tofu, and the Cashew Chicken. Will be returning for lunch as their daily special includes spring roll, soup and entree for a very reasonable price.

EVO Kitchen & Bar is a charming eatery located in a beautifully refurbished downtown building, boasting historic brick-and-beam construction and vintage-chic accents. The restaurant offers a delightful selection of sandwiches, wraps, and Canadian cafe bites. Additionally, it provides over a dozen box lunch options that include a main course, side, fresh-cut fruit, dessert, and bottled water - perfect for enjoying at nearby parks or walking trails.
I've been to Evo so many times for their trivia nights with friends and decided to stop in to have a quiet lunch by myself. It was honestly just what I needed at 2pm on a Friday. I had a craving for their chicken Waldorf wrap. I have had most of everything on the menu, and all the food is good. The fries are consistently good and temperature hot which I appreciate. I love restaurants that welcome people who want to eat alone. It's a comforting, occasional need to just sit and enjoy lunch without having to drive through somewhere. Serving staff is always welcoming at this location. They are attentive and care for each patron.

UPDATE: Attended a recent games night located upstairs. SO much fun! Definitely recommend attending but be sure to reserve ahead as these events are popular. Food we had that night was just okay. Chicken satay was bland pieces of chicken with a tiny side of satay sauce. I’m pretty sure they forgot to add any chicken salad to my wrap as it was filled with so much lettuce. But the game was so much fun, didn’t much notice. Will definitely return for a trivia night but will order differently. Previously: We were lucky enough to get a table here on a busy Friday night without a prior reservation. Watched others sadly be turned away so recommend reservations. We were seated at a long narrow table with high top chairs alongside another party (there was a chair separating us). Thoroughly enjoyed my maple chicken wrap with spinach salad. Companion raved about fish tacos and another thought their Waldorf salad wrap was very good. Tbh, the wrap looked a little sad alone on the long plate it was served on with a sympathy dill pickle slice alongside. Would have been more appealing had it been presented on a smaller plate. Loads of delicious looking dinners were being carried past us up the stairs to a party being held on the second floor so a return visit is in order. Desserts: Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was okay, found it not the best in town. Peanut butter stack was very good. A server accidentally put a plate of bacon wrapped dates on our table - they looked amazing but we had to decline as not ours. Will definitely be returning to try these!

Food was good. Only thing is one person had uncooked chicken.. the restaurant workers and manager repeatedly apologized and gave us a gift card and first round drinks for our group. The place was busy as there was an event upstairs so service wasn’t super quick.

Upon a friend’s recommendation we tried this restaurant , and the atmosphere and food were amazing, especially for such reasonable prices. I liked that you didn’t have to order a side if you didn’t want one. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing and that’s why it’s only 3 stars. We weren’t sure who our server was since no one was consistent. Our drinks didn’t arrive until after our food, which itself took over 30 minutes. I understand it was busy, but a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way.

A nice night out! We made reservations after a friend recommended this place, and we’re really glad we did! Loved the atmosphere and overall vibe. We had the Apple Butter Flatbread — so good — and the Chili Lime Chicken Wrap, which was delicious. Service was friendly and personable. We’ll definitely be back and recommend checking it out!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at EVO Kitchen on May 24th 2025 and it was a perfect experience from beginning to end. We did not have a wedding planner, or any idea what we were doing, but we started our planning journey with EVO based on a recommendation and from there everything fell into place. Taryn who runs events at EVO went above and beyond at every step, so helpful and kind. I really cannot speak highly enough of her support throughout this process as well as all other staff members we interacted with before and during our wedding day. Especially the serving and bar staff were exceedingly sweet on the day. We can't wait to go back for other events and we hope one day to get to attend a wedding here as a guest. About a year before the wedding we attended EVO's "Wedding Open House" event where we met our photographer and officiant - there is a great network of wedding vendors in this community many of whom were involved in each others weddings and it makes you feel like you are in great hands (which we were!). They have many different options for how you want to set up your day, we decided to have our guests sit in their dinner seats for the ceremony so that we would not have to move things around before dinner - though that was a definite option for those who prefer a more traditional set up. We chose the buffet-style dinner which was a big hit - however the appetizers that were brought around were so delicious and filling that a few of our guests actually had thought that was dinner! So no shortage of great food... We also had the bar open throughout (from a pre-ceremony cocktail hour through dinner and dessert) and actually wrapped up the reception at 9pm even though we could have stayed until 1am (we chose to host a more casual after-party for guests who enjoy a late night). We really appreciate their patience and assistance with our slightly-non-traditional wedding and the venue itself is exactly our style. As well being able to take pictures around this beautiful area in Cambridge was a huge perk!

My husband and I had our wedding at EVO Kitchen, and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue! Taryn and all the staff we incredibly helpful with setup, tear down on the day of, as well as community throughout the planning process. The food was absolutely to die for (definitely recommend the bacon wrapped dates). I would absolutely recommend EVO as a beautiful place to get married.

Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, George's Fine Chinese Food has been delighting diners for over six decades with its classic Western-style Chinese cuisine. This charming eatery is renowned for its generous portions and comforting flavors that keep patrons coming back for more. The menu features beloved dishes like sweet and sour chicken, crispy egg rolls served with a homemade plum sauce, and the much-lauded 18-1 dinner combo that truly lives up to its reputation.
If you’re looking for amazing Chinese food in Cambridge, George’s Fine Chinese Food Restaurant is the place to go. The star of the menu is the 18-1 Dinner, and trust me, it lives up to the hype. The sweet and sour chicken is crispy yet tender, the mushroom fried rice is packed with flavor, and the homemade egg rolls? Absolutely perfect—especially with their delicious plum sauce. The portions are generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself is incredibly clean, which is always a good sign. The tables are spotless, and you can tell they take pride in keeping everything well-maintained. Plus, the ambiance is beautiful—a mix of classic Chinese décor and modern touches that make it feel warm and welcoming. Between the great food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, George’s is a spot worth coming back to. Whether you’re grabbing takeout or sitting down for a meal, you won’t be disappointed!

Lady on the phone was very friendly. Disappointed with the meal. Not much sauce on the sweet and sour and the soo guy was flooded with so much gravy with only 5 pieces of chicken. Egg rolls are to die for but without their signature plum sauce.. it’s meh. I didn’t get any plum sauce lol. Dinner for one #18. Was told it feeds two people. Total bill $30 Love George’s. Flavour is always amazing but sadly the portions are becoming less.

George’s Fine Chinese Food is a longtime Cambridge staple, and for good reason. The food is consistently good — classic western-style Chinese dishes with generous portions and rich, comforting flavours. Whether you're craving sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls with homemade plum sauce, or their famous 18-1 dinner combo, you’ll leave satisfied. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere has that nostalgic charm that makes you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where the staff remember you, and the food tastes just like you remember — in the best way. If you’re looking for reliable, tasty Chinese food with a warm, community feel, George’s is the spot.

Came across this gem of a restaurant in the downtown of Cambridge (Galt). They serve up real authentic Chinese food, just like the restaurants that I went to as a kid in eastern Ontario. Once Upon a Time every small town in Ontario had a Chinese restaurant. George's has been open for over 76 years and is still run by the original owner's family. I had some take out food earlier this week and the egg rolls were to die for. They're handmade every morning at the restaurant along with their homemade plum sauce. You can taste the difference! Cant wait to actually sit down and have a meal there!

I haven't had George's in 30+ years. I ordered two combo platters. The chicken chop suey was very good. I just wish that we got more of it. Sweet and sour chicken and almond soo guy was also excellent. Unfortunately their egg rolls were good, but only half full. The rice, which there was lots of was plain and not fried.

Have been a customer for over 50 years couple months ago my nephew and I ordered 18 for two, when we got home the sweet and sour chicken was bland hardly no taste at all from the sauce. We called them right away and complained about it just so they knew . Today I thought I would give it another go and ordered same thing and when I got home sweet and sour chicken was the same the colour wasn’t even the same as it had been for years. Not sure if they changed the recipe or maybe new owners I’m not sure but I am done with Georges. At one time it was the best around

I ordered take out and I have to say was disappointed. Price: expensive for what you got. $3.49 for 1 egg roll. Has inflation really gone up that much??? The Chinese food place at the mall at least sells 2 for that price. The portions were small Food: Beef and broccoli was basically broccoli soup with thin beef slices to garnish. The thick noodles were swimming in juice, clumped together in balls and broken. The sweet and sour sauce for thr pork tasted like ketchup Really disappointed

There was no problem with seating and the hostess is very nice, or waitress was also very kind. Now to the food I ordered the parmesan chicken and it was disappointing. No flavor had to add salt,it wasnt great but added something to it . The sauce wasnt great either. The meatloaf also was nothing to be excited for, also missing some flavor to it. The only thing I really enjoyed was the sweet tea. I'm not planning to go back any time soon.

This was my first time at a pickle barrel, and I was not overly impressed (Cambridge location). Our servers were quite good, attentive, and quick. The food was only marginal at best. The burger I ordered arrived luke warm and was fairly tasteless. It was not worth the $20 that I was charged. That wasn't what made me give the restaurant a low rating. What did was the state the restaurant was in. The glasses were not clean and spotty. The table had not been cleaned before we arrived, and the washroom was in bad shape. I didn't ask my family how their food was, but my wife really noticed the poor shape of the washroom. I wouldn't accept that from a more reasonably priced restaurant, and I definitely won't from a place that cost me $150 for a family of five. I won't be back.

A great experienced in a refreshed restaurant. We went there for dinner on a busy Friday night. Here is the good and what could have been better : The good: 1. Ambiance is more upbeat. TVs can be seen from dining areas for those wishing to follow a game. Its generally louder and more chatter can be heard which is good. 2. The menu is huge and extensive. Something for everyone. 3. Service is friendly as before. 4. The food was excellent overall. Really enjoyed it. The spicy dishes were actually spicy and overall the food was very well made and delicious. 5. We love that everything here is made fresh from scratch. And not using commercial sauces and mixes. What could be better : 1. The appetizers came out around 2 minutes before the food. And 45 minutes after we ordered. It's a busy night but we were basically eating apps worh the main course at the same time 2. One of the dishes had rice that was hard and seemed dry. 3. Wish they had more organic and local choices so it feels less like a chain restaurant and more local fresh gourmet. A one page local menu would've been amazing to add to an already extensive (but commercial feeling) menu. We will be happy to visit again and we really enjoyed our night there.

It was my first time experience at Pickle Barrel. We were promptly seated and served. The interior decor was really nice as it gave off a modern sports bar vibe. The prices of the food were standard; about what you'd expect at other competitors. I had the Mushroom Swiss Bliss burger and the patty didn't have much of a taste. The flavour of the meat did not stand out at all; I was able to taste the condiments over it. The appetizers were decent, but nothing amazing. In my opinion, the food could use a boost in flavour profile.

This is definitely one of the nicest Pickle Barrels I've ever visited. Far better than the one in Downtown Toronto at Eaton. Service was fairly good. We arrived early so grabbed some drinks at the bar. The selection of craft beer was a bit disappointing, seeing how there are so many new local breweries, but Pickle Barrel was still stocking most of the mainstream brews. Food was quite nice, didn't feel like a chain restaurant at all.

We got take out from here and everything was great. We requested a time and it came out exactly when we asked. The portions were big and the quality of food was excellent. I would definitely order from here again. We ordered the P.B. Paella and the Cali Chicken Grilled Cheese, both were delicious and I recommend trying them out. We just devoured our Seafood Boil at home and loved every bite. We drove 25 minutes home and it was still hot and steaming when we plated it up! Tender and full of taste. We got 2 dinners + a lobster tail (not pictured was a bunch of potatoes, corn, sausage, shrimp and mussels). Hope they do this again!

Ernie’s Cookhouse in Hespeler Village absolutely knocked it out of the park! I ordered the Pulled Pork Macaroni, and as someone who’s had their fair share of Southern BBQ including my all-time fave at Moe’s in Mobile, Alabama, I can honestly say Ernie’s version is even better. It’s smoky, cheesy, and everything comfort food should be. My partner had the Montreal Smoked Sandwich special and was blown away by the generous portion size. We both left with full bellies and full takeout containers, which is always a win. We couldn’t resist taking home an entire Coconut Cream Pie. It’s hands-down the best Coconut Cream Pie I’ve ever had in Southern Ontario (possibly the world, but let’s not start a pie war). Joel Cook, the owner, deserves his own 5 stars. He’s not only serving up amazing meals but is also a huge supporter of local teams and charities. He’s helped bring the heart and soul back into Hespeler Village. Highly recommend! Come hungry, leave with pie and maybe a new appreciation for how great local food can be.

This is going to be a difficult one. This review is of two visits to Ernie’s. First was for a Sunday brunch buffet a few months ago. Long line up but with a reservation all was good. Food at the buffet was fantastic. Very good. Very fresh and a lot of variety. No complaints at all. Fast forward to this past Sunday. My daughter loves doing high tea. We have had it in a few different places and she saw Ernie’s was hosting one and based on our past experience we thought we couldn’t lose. We brought along my wife this time. She has a food sensitivity. My daughter emailed with staff during the week prior to our arrival and they stated it should not be a problem. Boy were we wrong. They had no idea about the sensitivity. The abomination they brought out for my wife was virtually inedible. The servers had no idea that we had requested a food sensitivity meal for high tea. We could tell they scrambled to put something together. For the amount of money we paid for high tea we should have had much better quality food. We were so very disappointed. My daughter most of all because she chose it.

The buffet...🤌 Eggs Benny, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, croquettes and all the usual breakfast options. Cabbage rolls (😋 😋) Hot pasta. At first i thought the dessert area was tiny but with the main course options we were full. That Dessert table was tiny but mighty! Coconut cream pie ✔️, cheesecakes, strudel, squares (Irish cream ones 🤤 😋) and mini donuts. Totally worth the drive! We will definitely be back!

I grew up in Hespeler and enjoyed many meals, drinks, family functions and parties at Earnies. Been a few years since i left Cambridge. The interior upgrades are great. Clean and fresh. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Brought back many memories. I used to enjoy the wings and beer special with my parents. I ordered wings and fried pickles. For 19.99 a pound, I expected more. They were small, over cooked, lacked taste. I ate three. Pickles were brunt. Service was good but left like it may have been my last meal there. Was planning on taking my parents to the brunch. Unsure if its worth the money.

Nagano is a casual and comfortable restaurant that offers a variety of Japanese entrees, including sushi, bento boxes, and Korean dishes. The establishment is known for its fresh and well-presented sushi, with popular options like the Spider Roll receiving high praise for its taste and texture. Customers appreciate the generous portions and reasonable prices of the menu items, such as katsu and gyoza. The staff at Nagano are described as friendly and attentive, providing exceptional service without language barriers.
Nagano serves fresh and delicious, well-presented sushi. We had the private seating tables and I wasn't a fan of the enclosures. Sure, it provided more privacy, but it didn't leave much room for space. Honesty, the enclosures are not required. I had the Spider and Tuna Roll. Both were fresh and the Spider Roll was one of the best rolls I ever had. The crunchiness and taste of the roll was superb. Service was exceptional and no language barriers were present. There's also a service button at the side of the table to call the server. Nagano does not do AYCE. Overall, a great sushi spot for any sushi lover.

Fantastic Bento box lunch menu options. Very tasty and plentiful. Another great thing is each table is isolated in a booth which I personally like so I don't have to see, hear, or smell my neighbours. Last heads up is the thing that looks like a little teapot is actually soy sauce. I embarrassed myself so you don't have to.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the region. It can get busy and it’s a small kitchen but the beer is cold, the margaritas are tasty and the atmosphere is welcoming. Plenty to occupy if the food takes a little longer to come but it’s worth the wait! So good! We’ve been many many times.

A hidden gem! Do not skip this place! Loved the birria and delicious consomme. Was also recommended the enchilada mole (pork) and was not disappointed at all. Interesting combination of chocolate and chili flavours. We also got choriqueso as a shared appetizer. Definitely filling for an appetizer! Dri ks are jarritos, coke and some other juices, all in glass bottles and self serve. They also have horchata and jamaica if you ask! Wall of tequilas and some beers for anyone wanting alcoholic drinks! Service was quick and friendly! Interior is bright, colourful and clean despite all the foot traffic with how busy it was. Got a tres leches cake to go for dessert. Absolutely loved the food, definitely coming back again to try other menu items.

Duke & Duchess is a hidden gem in Cambridge, offering an ever-evolving selection of craft brews that keeps beer enthusiasts coming back for more. The bar boasts a diverse drink menu alongside mouthwatering food options, all served in a cozy atmosphere complete with TVs for entertainment. Nestled away on an open-air patio, this pub provides a charming escape from the hustle and bustle of the nearby road.
The Duke and Duchess in Cambridge is a fantastic spot, especially during the holiday season! Their beef dip is absolutely delicious—definitely one of the best I’ve had. The staff are incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home, and the Christmas decorations add a warm and festive touch to the atmosphere. It’s a beautifully decorated space that perfectly captures the holiday spirit. Highly recommend stopping by for great food and an inviting experience!

Food and service were good. I enjoyed my chicken caesar wrap. I enjoyed the fries too. My companion had the steak and mushroom pie. He said it was tasty. There was a nice selection of draft beverages. I had a Strongbow cider.

I had visited this place on a whim as my partner and I wanted to dine out. The atmosphere is real public but in a good way. The food was delicious and the staff was very understanding in regards to my partners food allergy confirming before placing the order and confirming once more before serving which was very reassuring. Staff were great with a wonderful customer service skills and I would like to make a specific shout out to our sever for bonding with us over a video of our cat and specifically talking to my partner about the Sims moments like this really make a restaurant shine as it puts a special connection between the customer and staff. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in a place with good eats and like having engagement with staff.

We had gone there for a live band performance, they have a good corner set up for any live performances. The food was great, and the portions were perfect. Service was amazing & prompt despite it being a busy night!

My partner and I came here on a whim and I'm really glad we did! The food was literally PERFECTLY prepared - full compliments to the chef! It's obvious that this place really cares about the food they're presenting to you. Even the toast is perfectly toasted! I got the Big Ben, which was very impressive (and delicious). My partner got a full Scottish breakfast - he couldn't stop remarking about how technically proficient the cooking was. The service was phenomenal too! What a lovely and friendly server. Come here if you're looking for a classic English pub. This is a really cute place.

Fun British themed gastropub. I had a great local cider cold crisp but very sweet. Shepherd pie was good. Side salad should not be served on same plate, as pie was in a hot cast iron skillet and instantly started degradation of the lettuce in salad. Service was good, not very busy but extremely noisy from a table across the room.
