The Cambridge Sculpture Garden, located in downtown Galt, offers a serene and picturesque setting for art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The garden features public art exhibitions year-round and is situated along the Trans Canada Trail, providing a scenic river walk experience. The landscape has been carefully designed to complement the sculptures on display. Visitors can enjoy paved paths, picnic spots, and views of the Grand River while exploring this hidden gem.
it was one of the most life changing spirit uplifting, soul cleansing presentation that I was so fortunate to be apart of I would like to thank everybody how had and took apart of this historical event that took place on this great evening.
Carson H — Google review
There isn't too much to see here, just a few small sculptures in the middle of the park and then a few metal ones to the northern side near the gardens.
Mat B — Google review
I had the chance to visit it at night, and let me tell you, it was breathtaking! The way the lights illuminated everything around, it was like a whole new world. I honestly think it was even better than during the day.
EMMANUAL A — Google review
I won't rate it much as Sculpture Garden. However, as a garden it's nice. There is a fish n chips shop in the premises.
J A — Google review
Great space to explore, sit and relax or go fishing. The sculptures enhanced the experience and was amazed by the Oak tree planted in 1884.
Vitra M — Google review
Park is small and won't take up much time to see everything. BUT the new pedestrian bridge across the grand river is well worth the trip. It looks really cool lit up a night. Check it out for sure! =)
Jason V — Google review
Cambridge Sculpture Garden showcases a variety of beautiful arts and sculpture created by many artists. There are a parking lot that you can park your vehicle and explore this beautiful garden. If you don't want to drive, you can simply walk through a beautiful bridge that connect from the Downtown Cambridge to the Sculpture Garden, which also gives you a nice view of the Grand River. Moreover, this Cambridge Sculpture Garden is free of charge and it offers benches and picnic tables for your family outdoor fun.

The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is a 25,000 square foot facility located on a 107-acre site that includes the environmentally-sensitive Kossuth Bog. It features an indoor tropical garden with thousands of free-flying butterflies from around the world, over 100 varieties of tropical plants, waterfalls, streams, reflecting pools, and various animals. Visitors can witness butterflies emerging from their chrysalis and taking their first flight while relaxing among the beautiful water features.
We had a blast as a family walking throughout the conservatory and inspecting all the bugs. My daughter had so much fun. We ordered food at the cafe and my daughter loved the park just outside too. Staff was friendly and able to help if you needed it. There is a cute gift shop inside as well. Try to book ahead, they could sell out and if they do they will not take walk ins. If you look online before you go and there are many open tickets you might be fine but why chance it?
Brittany R — Google review
First off, the reservations — you have to book a time slot online and pay for tickets ahead of your visit. They clearly state they may turn away walk-ins if it’s busy. Understandable, since the butterfly area is small, and they don’t want to overcrowd it. On the plus side, parking is free and there’s plenty of it. Inside, there’s a small cafeteria and even a little playground for kids. The entrance leads to a small welcome area, and then you pass through double doors into the butterfly conservatory. The space is kept warm and humid for the butterflies — which feels nice on a cold winter day, but on a sunny day I was sweating buckets. There are lots of butterflies, and if you’re lucky one might even land on you. Now the downsides: the arena is very small. You can easily see the whole thing in under 15 minutes. For the size, the ticket prices feel steep. They don’t allow outside food, which is tough considering many visitors are families with kids, and there’s no designated area to sit and eat your own snacks anyway. If you’re a larger family with kids over 2, expect to spend quite a bit between tickets and the cafeteria. Overall, it’s worth visiting once for the experience, but don’t stress if you skip it — you’re not missing a full-day adventure.
Vimal V — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Butterfly Conservatory. It was quite easy to tour around the facility. The building is very accessible for people who might require wheelchairs too. The variety of butterflies and birds is quite astounding. I really enjoyed seeing the Nicobar pigeons. I’d recommend the butterfly conservatory for people who might be on a date, also if you’re single it’s a lovely place to visit too.
Nick — Google review
I recently went to a wedding at the Butterfly Conservation in Cambridge, and it was such a unique and beautiful venue. Being surrounded by butterflies and lush greenery made the whole day feel magical and intimate. It’s such a peaceful setting — perfect for a wedding which is what I was there for. The staff were kind and helpful, and everything felt really well taken care of. It was such a special experience, and I can’t think of a more memorable place to celebrate a wedding.
Marcin M — Google review
Such a beautiful and relaxing place to visit! The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory feels like stepping into a tropical paradise right in the middle of the city. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by warm air, lush greenery, and butterflies flying all around you – some might even land on you if you’re lucky! 🦋 It’s not just butterflies either – there are little birds, fish ponds, and some really unique insects to see in the side displays. The whole place is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and happy to answer questions. It’s a great spot for kids (they get so excited when a butterfly sits on them!) but also really peaceful for adults who just want to enjoy nature and take photos. You don’t need a ton of time to go through, but it’s such a calming and refreshing experience that you’ll want to stay longer. Definitely recommend this place for families, couples, or anyone looking for something different and relaxing to do in the Cambridge/Kitchener-Waterloo area.
Dr A — Google review
I had a pleasant overall experience, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the visit enjoyable. The pricing seemed fair, but it did feel a little less worthwhile because of the limited space and the relatively small variety of species available to see. The place itself is quite compact, so it’s best to visit during quieter times. If it gets crowded, the area can feel congested and a bit overwhelming. There are lots of butterflies, although most of them are of the same species, which reduces some of the excitement. Other than butterflies, there are only about ten different types of creatures to observe. There is also a cafeteria on-site, but the menu options are limited, so don’t expect too much variety in food choices.
K C — Google review
This will be such a great place for family with kids, or couples. Lovely garden with tons of butterflies surrounding, and if you take a little peak in the bushes, you might spot some little birds under. Me and my friends spent at least 2 hours there, just in an awe.
Nghi ( — Google review
This is a great place to learn about the life cycle of butterflies and admire them closely. My visit last weekend was my third time around. There is no extra cost for parking and generally, I get the feeling that I was able to see more butterflies than the other version in Niagara Falls. The staff is very friendly and enjoy interacting with those visiting this location.

This place was really cool and had some really interesting displays up. I would highly recommend this museum and would be coming back to it in the future

Small but very impactful. Beautiful fashions showing the history of fabrics and styles. Informative detailed history wall of when fabrics first were produced. If you like seeing dresses from the last couple of centuries, this museum is a must see!!!

What a great place...it's small but perfect! Great staff and really interesting exhibits...we spent 1 1/2 hours! Highly recommended.

Nice little museum we didn't even know existed till a few days ago. We enjoyed the cream tea as well and had a very pleasant afternoon.
Eekta T — Google review
I really enjoyed my afternoon at the fashion museum. It was an interesting experience, especially the OnlyFans display of women's fans used through the years. I also enjoyed the vintage store there as well. The staff was really friendly! The museum is small but well worth the price if you are interested in fashion and fabrics. They had some great pieces in there! Would recommend.

Small space but very interesting. We saw the history of Canadian fashion and the Dior display. Will come back again when the exhibit changes in a few months! There was an image scavenger hunt for the kids!
Kursteen — Google review
Beautiful display in a lovely building, with fascinating details provided by the curator. Those gorgeous clothes on display for the 2019 exhibition Made in France were mesmerizing. Clothes really can be art that you wear! What a fun little museum in Hespeler. So glad we visited.

Lots of interesting fashion memorabilia on displays. Worth the one-hour drive visit from Toronto, expecially for those who are interested or study Fashion. Wish, this museum will get some money to expand.

Went with a friend for a picnic. Some 🇨🇦 geese were chilling out before taking flight south for the winter. It was a nice day, and except for the geese and a few people, we had the place to ourselves!
Purrrplehaze — Google review
It is a Great place to visit. Nice and serene lake. Some good trails are out there. Also it is not very far away from the City of Cambridge. You can spend 3-4 hours very easily here and if you are coming with 2-3 families or a group of people, you can spend more time here. You can do BBQ here. There are benches all over the place. Washroom facility if provided. I believe it if open all year round but as summers in Canada makes these type of places more attractive.
Anas C — Google review
Worth the weekday evening trip. There are two lots to access the beach from (the left parking lot is a shorter distance). The washrooms are usually clean. There are two volleyball courts, plenty of picnic tables and open space areas to play sports. The beach is long so there's usually open space to sit (weekends - arrive between 8-10am to get a good spot). There are also canoe/kayak/SUP rentals available. I bring my SUP and it's a great spot to paddle for an hour or so (somewhat of a small lake). A great spot to spend your summer days.
Gerson P — Google review
What a beautiful spot to spend the day. It's a hidden gem and gives you the feel of being far away from the city though it's pretty close to civilization. I mean if you wanna get out there and feel close to nature but don't wanna have a long drive then this spot is for you. You can go fishing, kayaking and play volleyball too. Lots of fun activities for kids and adults alike and the beach is great too. My dog thoroughly loved the seven different trails to choose from and enjoyed his dip in the water.
Pooja M — Google review
I love this place. It’s beautiful, lush and green 😁. You’re surrounded by nature, you can play at the beach, swim and ride a boat on the river. You could also fish and kayak on the river. There are lots of trails, looks like a very good spot for camping. You can come in with food and for non members you have to pay about 15dollars and it’s free for children below 5. It was fun time, we came with a grill and made barbecue. There are no life guards at the water front, parents are responsible for watching their kids. I would definitely love to visit again and soak it all in. I took long refreshing walks in the woods, swam and ate barbecue 😁. It felt like I was walking through a well tended jungle.
Damilola O — Google review
Beautiful conservation area, nice beach, tranquil lake, perfect for kayaking and SUP, there are rentals and you can also bring your own. Only downside is washroom facilities around the beach are could be a lot cleaner.
Patricia G — Google review
Lovely place. $16 fee. Kayak/tandem/boat- $15-150 Very serene while entering. Family spot for bbq & picnic. The beach is also good. Too many mosquitoes but don’t worry the population of humans is more so there are less chances they will feed on you.

Families can enjoy playground structures and sports facilities while taking in the scenic views along the river. The park also provides opportunities for bird feeding on the boardwalk. The largest park in Cambridge, Ontario. Ideally located within short distance of Preston town centre, this is a nice place to enjoy some quality time either alone or with your loved ones. There is limited parking at the front but more parking areas within the park.

Whether you're looking to go for a hike, play sports, or just enjoy the outdoors, Riverside Park is a true gem that has something for everyone. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful and well-maintained park in Cambridge.
Anuroop S — Google review
One of the best parks in the Cambridge region. Long scenic trails. Park benches facing the riverside is so relaxing to sit & watch the fish & ducks wading in the water. Has a huge baseball field & some people play cricket too. This place hosts some events too every now and then.
Sushma T — Google review
Pretty nice park, lots of good trails however some of them require maintenance as they have been overgrown with weeds. Sports fields are full of goose droppings so watch where you walk if you cut across a field.
Kerry S — Google review
Good place for kids & family. Water splash pad, swings & slides and many other activities for kids. Tennis courts, shed for a family get togethers. Neat & clean. Washroom are available.
Adnan S — Google review
An awesome park with all the amenities needed for a great outing. Plenty of picnic areas, a playground, skate park, dirtbike track, public tennis courts, soccer fields, beach volleyball nets, baseball diamonds, splash pad and a nice trail to hike, cycle or jog on. Lots of parking. Some of the paths and parking lots need to be repaved
Solange — Google review
Great place to walk around with the kids. My only complaint is that signage is basically non existent and it was very difficult to find my way, as this was my first time going. But great playgrounds and splash pads for the kids. Shaded areas for the adults to sit and hang out.
Mike T — Google review

Within the beautiful farmers market , this is for all you coffee lovers ! Pay attention because when you go inside, you must go and see Manny and his wife and the gang and ask for a Roy's mocha. I promise you it has been my apart of my Saturday morning routines and it's honestly a gift , within the kindness they bring to the pay it foward system they have in a way to combat what the governments to don't seem to do. Absolutely love shopping at the Cambridge Farmers’ Market! I bought fresh French beans, tomatoes, beetroot, cucumbers, spring onions, potatoes, and onions — all super fresh and full of flavour. The market is perfectly located in the beautiful Galt area, right by Cambridge City Hall on Dickson Street. Saw Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hamilton last week. Situated in an revitalized section of Cambridge next to the Grand River. Lots of restaurant choices within walking distance. Theatre could hold just over 500 patrons, and was sold out for this show. Great performances and ice cream at the intermission. Will ansolutely visit again.

One of my favourite theatres. Due to the size there is not a bad seat anywhere. Even to the fat sides you don’t get a blocked view. There is lots of parking and the staff are very kind. Been to many shows here, they always hire great performers, directors and crew that make every show feel like one of kind.

We're saw" witness for the prosecution" written by Agatha Christie. The play was very well done. In the first act, we did have some difficulty hearing the young actor playing the accused. Much better in act 2 and 3 and after we figured out the hearing devices that we got for free at the box office.

McDougall Cottage Historic Site in Cambridge offers a captivating look into the city's past. This 19th-century stone cottage boasts well-preserved interiors and gardens, providing insight into the lives of early settlers. Situated in downtown Galt's historic factory district, the museum hosts various heritage events celebrating Scottish heritage. The charming cottage overlooks the Grand River and serves as a hub for community events, workshops, and tours.
The museum is great to learn about Cambridge's earliest days. This is also a hidden architectural gem You should ask Rebecca about the architecture and construction of the house!

Exceptionally helpful and friendly person helped fill out not only the history of the cottage, but details of the various owners and the general history of Galt! And it's free! On the downside, there is very little parking nearby!
Ian T — Google review
Beautiful historic Scottish cottage from 1858. English gardens surround the cottage, which is open for public viewing during certain times of the year. Tartan Tea occurs several times throughout the year (various themes, I believe all are Scottish based). The cottage is also open for general viewing, with restored ceiling friezes (painted ceilings). I believe it's volunteer run, so be kind when you visit! Also, they will sometimes have local musicians in playing traditional Scottish music (no, not always bagpipes!).

Had a short visit to Cambridge, surely worth visiting the beautiful old city, specially Grand river areas surrounded by Water st. on east, Main st. on south, George st. on West and Park Hill rd. on north.

Based on the advice of Alltrails, a wonderful little hiking app, decided to try a more urban style walk along the river in downtown Galt. Had a nice time. Weather was beautiful for October. There were some picturesque locations by the river; in fact so picturesque that there were three different weddings all getting photos taken. There are a few great little independent coffee shops and cafes around, if you need emergency caffeine refreshment. Some limestone ruins, some interesting existing buildings. Free parking along the road, with a two hour limit, which is plenty of time to amble along the paths. Easy, easy hike of course - all paved level trails.

This place in downtown Cambridge is very beautiful. It’s old Cambridge where you will see historical sites & get to read the history. This place’s beauty is enhanced with Grand River flowing across church. You can also see the river rapid & dam lookout on the other side of this park

Hespeler Village is a charming neighborhood located in Cambridge, Ontario, along the picturesque Speed River. It was originally founded by Jacob Hespeler in 1845 and quickly grew from a small settlement to a thriving industrial hub, thanks to the textile mill he established in 1862. The village was once home to the largest textile producer in the British Empire. In 1973, Hespeler became part of the newly formed City of Cambridge after amalgamating with other nearby areas.

The Mill Run Trail is a popular hiking route that has been frequented by many people. It is a fantastic and relatively level path that provides a superb vantage point of the river. Commencing in Hesepler, one will traverse approximately 3 km of gravel until arriving at a bridge, which grants access to an expansive Boardwalk section. There are several road crossings along the way, although these lack proper pedestrian crossings, so caution must be exercised while crossing them.
Such a beautiful place. My favourite are the three sections of canopies. It’s so serene going for a hike here in the morning. The tall threes, quietness, less crowded, river side all makes it worth visiting. Terrain is flat and easy to walk for all ages.
Anna — Google review
Nice trail, with good views of the river. If you plan to walk the trail during the summer, I recommend going at sunrise, as anytime later than 8:00 AM will be too hot and the trail will be swarming with bugs. It’s also very quiet in the early hours, with furry friends out and about, plus you can catch the sun rising over the water. I also got the chance to learn about local pollinators and fossils, which was very interesting! Mill Run Trail is definitely worth a visit :)

This trail has a lot of what I like: different terrain, water, cool sights, wildlife, and lots of nature. It is quiet and peaceful at times, but also has some interesting things to see. We saw pigeons, geese, ducks, a Herron, a snake, squirrels, and several birds on our hike. Highly recommend!
Lisa S — Google review
Right place for cycling. Not crowded, thick vegetation, good stretch of track running along speed river. Nearby Rail bridge across Speed river is beautiful in the evening hours, fully lit by the setting sun. Pedestrian slab along the track in good condition and two side shelters available in case a train comes while crossing.
Bhaskaran R — Google review
Excellent area for photography. Many native wildlife species, especially aquatic birds, find their home along the river. I photographed this area on ancient black and white film. The train bridge is currently in use in 2025 but trains are rare and generally passes very slowly. This was a good fishing hole in 2021 but I haven't caught a fish here since.

A very beautiful place for a day or evening walk. There is a decent amount of parking available with the trail starting just off the parking lot. Lots of wildlife to see and alot of fish bitting at your bait. With the waterfall at Jacobs landing nearby this is a great place to visit right in the middle of the city.

We did this yesterday on a sunny sunday late afternoon-evening. Lovely trail - easy to walk. The path is clear - sometimes narrow, sometimes wide but easy to do. It runs parallel to the riverfront. Has lovely greens on both sides and spring wildflowers are in bloom. It has shade so even on a sunny day we didnt feel hot. Would highly recommend - it took us 2 hours at a moderate pace.

Dumfries Conservation Area is a 75-hectare park featuring preserved plantation forests, mature forests, wetlands and various walking trails. A small parking lot provides easy access for visitors who can enjoy the green space with short trails, fields and picnic tables. The park also boasts a new walking/cycling path alongside Dunbar Road. It's an ideal location for a family picnic or to take the dog on walks along different paths that cater to all levels of exploration.
Amazing place for a walk. Beware!! We spotted a poisonous snake on the trail. Please be careful while walking through the smaller posts through woods. Respect the wildlife. They also have small play area for kids.
Atria — Google review
Dumfries Conservation Area has some redeeming qualities, like the well-maintained trails that wind through a nice pine tree plantation, offering a peaceful escape into nature. However, there are several issues. The parking lot was closed, forcing me to park on the street, which was inconvenient. Upon entering the area, I was shocked to find garbage scattered everywhere—on the trails and in the woods. There were also numerous homeless camps set up, with tents visible and the smell of fire lingering in the air. It detracted from the natural experience and left me feeling uncomfortable. The creek didn’t offer much to look at, and the pond lacked a good vantage point. I did notice a lot of cattails in the wetland area, but unfortunately, there wasn’t a decent spot to view it. Additionally, the creek had an unpleasant smell, which made me wonder if there was contamination or other issues. While this area once may have been a lovely conservation spot, it’s clear that neglect and lack of management have taken a toll. It still has potential, but significant cleanup, better maintenance, and perhaps some bird boxes or conservation features would make it a much more enjoyable destination.
Scott S — Google review
We are lucky to have this in the middle of the city. Trails are much better in the fall. Walking there in mosquito season is a mistake. Trails are not marked but I guess the GRCA assumes everyone has their phone maps on. This is a bare bones place probably as GRCA gets no revenue from it so not much money is spent on it. Portable washroom is taken out in the fall.Tons of potential. Parking lot is tiny. Still the trails are beautiful. I always recommend do not travel them alone unless you have a dog.

The Dumfries Conservation Area is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike. Encompassing a rich tapestry of diverse ecosystems, this conservation area offers a unique blend of wetlands, forests, and meadows, making it a haven for wildlife and a prime spot for ecological study. Visitors to Dumfries Conservation Area can enjoy a myriad of activities that cater to different interests and fitness levels. The well-maintained trails meander through the landscape, providing opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and photography. Each trail offers a unique perspective on the area's natural beauty, with some paths leading through dense woodlands, while others skirt the edges of serene wetlands. One of the standout features of Dumfries Conservation Area is its commitment to conservation and education. The area serves as a living classroom, where visitors can learn about local flora and fauna, the importance of wetland ecosystems, and the role of conservation efforts in preserving natural habitats. Educational programs and guided tours are often available, offering deeper insights into the environmental significance of the area. For those looking to simply unwind, the Dumfries Conservation Area provides ample spots for picnicking and relaxation. The tranquil environment, punctuated by the sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds, offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you’re an avid nature lover or someone seeking a peaceful retreat, Dumfries Conservation Area is a place where the beauty and serenity of nature can be fully appreciated. Its blend of natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and educational value makes it a treasured destination in Ontario’s conservation landscape.

I came here for the first time & instantly was loving the park every step I took in. I felt like there were many moments where I stopped & wondered hmm which way should I go, ready to see more beauty. In & out of cute little portals hehe. I loved it & the cute water spots all in between! The people I met along the way were nice & helpful - yet it was peaceful & many moments walking alone, where you felt you were the only one in the park! Sweet spot for sure.☆

A small conservation area with trails that are great for walking the dog. A small parking lot which is usually not too full. It could be a great place for a family picnic. I recently attended a Diwali program at this theater, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The seating was comfortable, allowing us to fully enjoy the festivities without any discomfort. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the washrooms were, which is always a plus in public venues. However, there was a bit of a hiccup with the construction ongoing at the site. It made finding the entrance somewhat of a challenge; it felt like navigating a puzzle to get inside. Despite that minor setback, the atmosphere inside was vibrant and welcoming, making the event truly enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again.

Churchill Park is an urban green space that offers a variety of recreational activities for families to enjoy. The park features ball fields, hiking trails, and opportunities to observe wildlife. Additionally, there are facilities for basketball, skateboarding, and a splash pad for children to cool off on hot days. A notable feature of the park is the Water Wheel located near the main entrance pond area which was designed by Uncle Wayne La Croix and installed by a Southwood High School Class years ago.
A wonderful park with many places to explore and activities to keep the family entertained in the great outdoors. Paved trail through the center of the park makes for easy walking with strollers or biking for all ages; trails wind throughout the park and lead to adjacent neighbourhoods. The splash pad and accessible playground are well maintained, as are the washrooms. The rocket ship has seen better days and will hopefully be repaired, but is still a neat place for kids to hang out. A great place to spend the day!

I grew up in G-town Cambridge so it's always a part of me. Churchill park along with Grand River trails alongside was my playground growing up. I'm a little disappointed the Peacocks are gone along with the Deer that use to reside in the back of the park where they kept the animals for kids viewing and to visit, now it's just home to Ducks and Geese along the Ponds and walks ways. The Park Splash Pads, family picnics areas or just sit on the benches to soak in the view if your out for a stroll through this park which is built with trails that you can continue through across the street onto the Brant trailways. Soccer field past the playground areas, Baseball diamond up top behind the washroom areas open for public use in the summer months. The city of Cambridge can update and clean this park up a bit more as it's a beautiful place to enjoy with your family, the rocket playground has been there since I was a lil girl still a popular hit among the kids with an updated play area for the younger todlers, great place to spend with the family all around which brings back old childhood memories.

A wonderful place to have fun. You can get everything you can think of. Go with your soccer ball or your bike. It’s one of the best and biggest park I have seen in Ontario. It’s very beautiful and neatly kept. You can sit and read or work on your smart phone without any interference. Parking lot is very big. I love this place. Parents, pls plan to spend more time because kids don’t want to go home. You really have to make them tired else, they will cry home.
Kenneth K — Google review
Used to bring the kids here when they were small, dating back 20 years ago or more. The park has not changed much but remains a good place for smaller children or just to go for a hike! We decided to go for a little hike here on this beautiful day and found that the pond is still a great place to watch ducks - these ducks are very domesticated… lol, they will follow you around endlessly if they think you have food for them - which we didn’t... Despite the many signs stating NOT to feed animals, they are not afraid to come within a foot of you for a chance to get the first crumbs being handed out. There are also a lot of geese here - which, sadly, makes it a challenge to step anywhere without stepping in poop… There are washrooms which were still open this time of year. They were pretty clean which was much appreciated! There are a number of paths that come and go through this park - you can walk for some time without leaving the park boundaries. Worth the visit but remember to watch your step!!

During March Break, I visited Galt Arena Gardens with my kids for a free skate. The rink was not crowded as there was ample space available. The skating session took place from 12-2 and around 1:30, many people had already left. There was background music playing throughout the session and the rink was resurfaced at least once. It proved to be a fantastic opportunity for exercise and a delightful family activity.
What a fabulous arena. What amazing ambiance, seats are fantastic, nice snack bar and ample parking. It's a beautiful rink inside and out.

It was my first time visiting this historic arena, known as the oldest operating arena in all of Canada! The ice surface was fantastic. Kudos to the ice surfacing team. It was a family skate, so it got fairly busy. The only surprise is that there were no ice patrollers, which used to be common place at all arenas during public skate. Everyone donned their skates in the lobby, which was again a new experience having been used to changerooms being afforded to patrons at most arenas during public skates. Other than that, a pleasant experience!

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a wedding reception there, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The decor was exquisite, with ample space between tables allowing for comfortable mingling and dancing on the expansive dance floor. The service was impeccable, making every guest feel valued.
Our wedding at MontHill this past June was absolutely amazing! Having attended several weddings in the past, my husband and I knew immediately that MontHill was the only choice for our special day. The venue itself is stunning, and the staff is top-notch. Melissa, with her vast expertise in the wedding industry, her eye for beauty, and her calming presence, made the entire planning process a breeze. We also want to give a huge shout-out to Laura and Sophia, who were instrumental in making the day of run perfectly. They were attentive to us, our families, and our wedding party throughout the entire event. Our hands always had a drink in them! Their professionalism was matched only by their fun and friendly demeanor! Sophia, in particular, handled an issue with our seating chart (from an external vendor) with such grace and efficiency that we didn’t even realize there was a problem. The food was fantastic, and we're still hearing rave reviews from our guests months later. From the antipasto station to the dinner and dessert, everything was delicious. My husband and I are incredibly grateful to MontHill and its exceptional staff for giving us a day we’ll never forget!

We went for the brunch, and everything was fresh, and they have a wide selection.. The dining room is spacious and nicely decorated. The servers were professional and pleasant . They also have a golf store open all year .Their handicap parking should be closer, especially in winter when golf is closed .

I attended here for a wedding. I only attended the ceremony and not the reception. Everything was done top drawer! Staff looked after guests and the wedding party in excellent fashion. All of the audio equipment worked as expected. They used the terrace for the ceremony and it was beautiful with the backdrop of the golf course. Based on my experience I would highly recommend this golf course venue for special events.

Celebrated our daughter's wedding. Sophia and her team were outstanding in arranging the perfect day! Every single request was met with a "Of course we can do that!" The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was above and beyond our expectations! I honestly can not recommend this highly enough as the perfect wedding venue!

First time at MontHill was yesterday to attend a wedding reception. I don’t know where to start because everything was amazing - beautifully decorated, very spacious between tables, large dance floor, service was top notch, and the food was delicious….kale salad (very good), lasagna (to die for), and the salmon…a large portion and delicious!! So good. I enjoyed every mouthful :). My partner had the steak and it was grilled to perfection that you could cut it with a fork. Carrot cake for dessert was very good too. I felt bad that I could not finish it all because I had no room left!! If I could give 10 ⭐️ ‘s I would!!

Had an amazing brunch experience here. The atmosphere is great, and the view looking over the golf course was perfect. The dining room has tables spaced well apart and is perfect for a nice celebration. The food and service were top-notch It is all you can eat, and you order from a menu. Our server recommended ordering one or two items at a time. It was really nice to try some of the different items on the menu. Definitely give this place a try. I will be back!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Mont Hill! Melissa was the absolute best at answering all of our questions (which were a lot) and ensuring every detail was set in place for our big day. The food was the best wedding food we ever had and our guests left full and happy. They even brought us and our wedding party appetizers while we were taking pictures on the green! Sophia was also very helpful and professional with set up closer to our date. If you want a smooth and stress-free wedding experience, book your wedding at Mont Hill!

Nature & Parks
Soper Park is a lush recreational area with expansive athletic fields, gardens, scenic trails, a vibrant playground, and a seasonal pool and splash pad. This beloved park has been cherished by the community for over four decades. Originally enjoyed as a child, it has since become a place to bring kids and even furbabies. Weekends tend to be busier than weekdays, while surprisingly fewer people walk their dogs in the rain!
It is a unique park to capture special moments with your loved ones. My family takes fall family photos here every year & it always amazed us with its beauty.

Soper Park in Cambridge is a hidden gem! 🌳🌼 With its lush green spaces, tranquil ponds, and charming walking trails, it's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. #Cambridge #SoperPark #NatureLover

Lovely park that offers a relaxing and scenic experience. The park has a beautiful trail that follows the creek and passes through a forest. The park is well-maintained and clean. Also quiet and peaceful, with plenty of wildlife and plants to admire. Has a playground, a picnic area, and a fishing spot. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Open all year round and has different activities for different seasons. Overall, Mill Creek Park is a wonderful place to visit, whether you’re looking for a hike, a picnic.

A delightful park with a stream running through it (with children playing in it), a 9-hole disc golf course (which can be played sorry and long), playground apparatus, walking paths, tennis club, picnic tables....
John B — Google review
Nice old growth park with some big gnarly wheeping willows among other trees. Perfect dog walking park but you have to train your dog to leave frisbees alone(good luck with that, just kidding, lol)because there's also a disc golf course through the park. Great spot for taking pictures.
Frölfênüügen L — Google review
This park has some good features, like an outdoor swimming pool. It also has disc golf but the course spreads over the pathways and bench areas. There are tennis courts but it's for members only. The playground is very nice and well located. The splash pad is not that great. There is one picnic Pavillion with a minimal amount of picnic tables.
Solange — Google review
We really enjoyed walking through this park with our eight year-old niece. We walked through some trails under a couple of bridges, around the river and to the main park area with the playgrounds. The swings are separated from the playground, on the other side of the splash pad area, which I found a little odd but it didn't deter our little one from zooming back and forth between the two play areas. There are benches (that don't face the playground), a tennis court and portapotties available also. If you're looking for a nice park to relax in with or without kiddos, this is a great spot. There are a few Pokemon Go stops as well, for the gamers! :)
Kristine B — Google review
This place is absolutely beautiful! The willow trees and the river running through it were the key selling features for me. There were ducks with their ducklings, birds singing, and even a neighbourhood barbecue going on when I visited. Stunning! I would love to visit with a good book and just spend hours reading. Plus, saw a cute little baby turtle while I was there. And I adored the tunnel going under the nearby road.

I rented the Optimist room - great space for a meeting. I'll continue to book here. Aside from it being a central spot for the group to meet, the convenience of being so close off the 401, and the price of course, makes this an ideal spot. Tables, chairs, coat rack, kitchen and speaker's podium were in the room. There's a screen if projection is needed. The wifi was reliable. The only opportunity was the kitchen freezer - the prior group left this a mess, which wasn't cleaned before our mtg (minor inconvenience).
Tom K — Google review
One of the worst designs/layouts for an Arena that I’ve ever been to!… For someone born with mobility issues like myself, it is an absolute nightmare taking my boys here for games!! - In what world does it make sense to design dressing rooms down two flights of stairs with no public elevator access?!… Both of my boys (9 & 6), have trouble getting their bags down & up the stairs!! The only elevator available is operated by a Key from a Staff member who are no where to be found OR not even working on weekends at all!… I’ve tried calling the Arena to see if someone could come down & help me access the elevator, but that was Zero help!!… No staff members available on Sunday’s! - Horrible!!!

Nice barn local ref was absolutely brutal and apparently has been all year. This oversized overage individual needs to be removed from the circle. I'm aware it isn't the facility however they must have some impact on booking officiating

Thrilled by this amazing park! It wasn't busy either! It has 2 full height basketball nets on a paved area, full-sized tennis court, playground for kids around ages 3-10, swings, 4 square game, picnic tables under a large covered area, benches scattered throughout the park, and portable toilets! The basketball nets need replacing. Parking: There is only street parking.

We are group of 10 tennis players who play here, everyone got time to play in evenings because of work and shifts I will recommend and request to city of Cambridge to install lights so people can play till park closed (11pm)
Gurbaj G — Google review
Nice park with lots of potential but need many more garbage cans especially in the field or near the courts as garbage from kids piles up and blows everywhere. Playground is nice, and good open fields as well. Great place to walk a dog or let them run in the field.
Mark F — Google review
This park could use a splash pad!!! Yards are so small in the neighbourhood….not many can accommodate a pool. This would be an awesome hangout for the kiddos to cool off.
Jason — Google review
A lovely park now that it's been redone with all fun stuff. 2 basketball courts, a tennis courts and a wall for practice. There is a big field for soccer or cricket. The kids can play on an extensive play area with swings.

Nice sized park with a variety of things to do. Basic playground equipment for toddlers. Big open field with a basketball pad, ball wall, gazebo and benches dotted all around.
Trevor H — Google review
Good local playground for the kids, but soooo MUCH wasted/unused space! Witmer park could and should have much more equipment, sports activities to do. Such as soccer nets, basketball court and/or tennis court. Outdoor skating in the winter perhaps. City of Cambridge, do something to accommodate the surrounding families please!!

Tiny but tidy little park. Very quiet and peaceful but on a steep hill so you'll be a touch sweaty by the time you reach the top. Toddler friendly swings which my son enjoyed :)

This is a nice little neighbourhood playground for small children. It's got some benches, two baby swings, and a short stair and slide combination. If your child needs more variety and space, I'd recommend finding a different one, it's best for short breaks as opposed to extended play.
