Restaurant
The Skipper Restaurant and Chowder House is a classic Cape Cod seafood spot that has been serving delicious meals since 1936. Located in South Yarmouth, it offers stunning views of Nantucket Sound while you enjoy their famous fried fresh cod and chips. The restaurant is renowned for its award-winning clam chowder and cheerful service. Additionally, visitors can indulge in an adjoining ice cream shack for a sweet treat after their meal.
Where to begin? Dinner on a Monday night - busy and efficient service. Ashley was attentive and helpful. We really appreciated the recommendations for the onion rings. The food was delicious- clam chowder bowl was a great starter to share for a family of four. The entrees were equally delicious, and portions were substantial. All around great food. Dining area is classy and welcoming, we were very comfortable. Cheers!

An unforgettable Cape Cod gem 🌊🦞 Hands down the best lobster roll on the Cape! Served on a fresh brioche bun with no fillers—just pure lobster, including both claws, tucked right into the roll. The clam chowder? Incredible. Thick, creamy, and packed with generous chunks of seafood—it’s a full meal on its own. The seasonal oysters tasted like they’d been harvested just hours before, and we loved the thoughtful touch of serving them with minced🌶️🍋🫜 The place was immaculately clean—you could literally eat off the floor. But what truly touched our hearts was the kindness of the staff. They brought a little toy cup for our baby, which made him smile and gave mama and papa a few peaceful moments to enjoy this amazing meal. This restaurant is officially on our must-visit list for next summer. 10/10 experience. Thank you, Skipper team!

We didn’t have a reservation, and even though it was a weekday, we had to wait about an hour to get in. All the staff were young, energetic, and super friendly. Once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. The clam chowder was excellent — I’d definitely come back for that alone. My calamari was decent, though a bit more breaded than I expected, and it came with a different sauce, but they happily brought me tartar sauce when I asked. I was excited to try some local beer, but the options were limited, and the one I had was just average. My friends, however, really enjoyed their fish sandwiches and fish & chips. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with ocean views, good food, and a very lively atmosphere. Next time we’re in Boston and this area, I’ll definitely come back.

I love this place and the food, the staff are all amazing. The menu is huge and the clam chowder was the best on the cape. The martini I ordered was made perfectly and the view was beautiful of the ocean. We sat outside as weather was still so nice in October. Every bite was delicious and in the summer it is hard to get a table but I'd say worth the wait! So many levels and so many selections !! Order the steamers! Meaty and large and soooo good!

Every Year! Every year we live at the red jacket and every year we come here to eat. If you ask for our opinion, this is one of the best seafood restaurants on Cape Cod. This restaurant will leave a very positive and memorable impression. We had to wait for a table for fourty minutes on a Sunday evening, but it was worth the wait. , We were truly impressed by how efficiently everything was managed and how friendly the staff were. We ordered the Rice Chicken bowl, fish and chips, wings and Mac and cheese. We made two orders of fresh local oysters as well and they were tasty! Everything was served quickly,.large portions and and tasted absolutely amazing. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the onion rings were simply fantastic. Also, don’t miss the ice cream from their Ice Cream Shack. In and all a great place to eat with kids! You will go there the second time.

If you ask for my opinion, this is one of the best seafood restaurants on Cape Cod. We’re tourists from Canada and visited several similar places in the area (I left reviews for them too), but this restaurant left the most positive and memorable impression, despite the gloomy weather. We had to wait for a table, but we were truly impressed by how efficiently everything was managed and how friendly the staff were. I ordered the fish tacos, and the rest of the family had fish and chips. Everything was served quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the onion rings were simply fantastic. Also, don’t miss the ice cream from their Ice Cream Shack — a perfect way to finish a great meal. Highly recommended!
Alex K — Google review
A great restaurant next to the beach with beautiful views from the deck. There’s plenty of parking with an attached ice cream stall. The staff were great and pulled down the shades when it got pretty hot in the sun. The local beer brewed for the restaurant is refreshing and perfect on a nice day. The clam chowder is creamy with great flavor and a good amount of clams. The fisherman’s platter is cooked to perfection, for the price I do think the portion of seafood is light but comparable to local restaurants. The tatar sauce tasted homemade and complimented the seafood well.

One of the best restaurants on the Cape. Great food, great views, and excellent service. We've been several times over the past few years and it has always been great. I would highly recommend adding this restaurant to your rotation when you're on the Cape.

Mini Golf
Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf is a family-friendly, award-winning theme park featuring two 18-hole pirate-themed mini-golf courses in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts. The imaginative Captain's Course and the bold Blackbeard's Course offer an exciting golfing experience as players navigate footbridges, waterfalls, rocky outcrops, and caves. This Cape Cod landmark brings the adventures of infamous pirates to life with its captivating design.
This was the best traditional mini-golf place I have ever been. The theming was awesome, and we loved the fun pirate facts at each hole. The course itself was tricky, creative, and fun for everyone — from our 5-year-old to the grandparents. We enjoyed our first round so much, we came back to play the second course! It was a bit busy during our first visit (around 1pm Friday), so we had to wait a bit at each hole — but honestly, we didn’t mind. It gave us time to chat and soak in all the fun details. If you’re only going to play one mini golf course on the Cape, make it this one!
Theresa W — Google review
This place was a perfect mini golf course. There are two courses to choose from. One is more flat and handicap accessible while the other has many stairs. Play was pretty smooth everyone was moving fast paced. Only issue was the smell. They need to power wash or clean the water because the entire time it smelt.
Fat T — Google review
The best minigolf place I have ever been to, hands down. Two courses in one, quality greens, unique hole designs, great for groups and kids, plenty of parking, and food locations nearby. Kind staff and golfing community. Course is a little bit expensive, but you are getting what you pay for.

It was a fun time. Great course we did the Captians 18 hole. The gentleman at the counter offered to take our photo witch was very nice. Great photographer he was as well.
NANCY J — Google review
Such a fun course! One of the best mini golf I have been to in a while! Has two routes, one is more accessible than the other (we took the harder one it has a fair amount of stairs just beware there’s cardio involved!). The course was fun and interesting and on theme, and it was affordable too!
Tricia L — Google review
They have two courses we didn't do black beards course. The kids enjoyed the course, but they even found it to be too easy and uneventful. They wanted more hazards and obstacles.
Joey D — Google review
We used to love this place. But we did the front course the other evening and we were not impressed. One of the holes had a leak from the nearby waterfall, making the green wet and puddled, and the hole full of water. They probably could have fixed it with a bit of hydraulic cement. The worse problem was the lighting. The lights were not bright enough and too far apart - dim and shadowy. And the tunnels had no lighting and were hard to walk through, much less golf in. We might go back and do the back course during the daytime, but there are lots of other courses to try.

Pirate's Cove is my favorite mini golf place. We play there in Maine and here in the Cape. We always do Captain's Course and Blackbeard's Course because they're so much fun. It's great for all ages and group sizes. For the first round it cost us $27 and then we got a $10 discount for playing another course right after.

Captain Parker's Pub is a long-standing favorite among locals and tourists in Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Situated on route 28, this pub is known for its hearty New England fare and bustling bar. One of its highlights is the world-famous Triple Crown clam chowder, featured on the Food Network. The award-winning chowder comes in various serving options and has gained widespread acclaim.
The restaurant is really beautiful and inviting. There's plenty of parking and the staff works efficiently and quickly. Service is okay and they are able to turnover tables quickly. The clam chowder is really the best, it's rich and creamy, a must order. The lobster roll is delicious with good portions and warm butter to dip. The fries are cut in an interesting shape and were cooked well.

Ate here on our last night in cape cod and it didn't disappoint. We got the fisherman’s platter and shared that. They gave us a very genera portion and ever time I looked under the fries there was another scallop or shrimp. The clam chowder was delicious. We even had leftovers for the next morning. The sever was very nice. She gave her opinion about on items on the menu and was very kind. The dinner rolls were delicious and a must try when there. Very crowded but the wait wasn’t so bad. Not too loud but definitely a favorite spot for families to eat.

My husband and I were staying in Dennis Port the last week of October 2025 and decided to try this restaurant. We shared our meal, we had the Clam Chowder in a bread bowl and the Fisherman’s Platter. It was the best Clam Chowder I have ever had. The Clams on the Fisherman’s Platter were also the best. The entire meal was very impressive! The waitress was extremely nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to the area. Please, bring me a bowl of the Clam Chowder to Florida! ❤️

Continuing our tour of the most popular/touristy Cape Cod places my wife ate at during her childhood visits here, we went to Captain Parker’s. She got clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, and onion rings. I got broiled scallops and a stuffed Quahog. The clam chowder and Quahog were excellent. I understand why everyone loves the clam chowder so much from this place. The scallops and shrimp were totally solid. Service was incredibly good—-despite the fact that it was packed. I’m only giving four stars for three reasons. 1. The onion rings were way underseasoned; 2. I really wanted a boiled lobster and they didn’t seem to have that on menu; 3. The check in system is a bit chaotic—though I’m not sure how to remedy this.
Stuart D — Google review
Captain Parker's Pub is a very nice restaurant. When you walk in, you might think it's a small restaurant but the further in you go, you see how big it is. Even though it is a big restaurant, the staff is great. They also have seating available outside. We started off with the chowder which was good. My boyfriend got the ribeye with blue cheese topping. It came with potatoes and steamed vegetables. I got the buttered lobster roll. It came on a brioche bun and with a side of fries and coleslaw. They have a statue of a captain out front and some interesting looking fans inside.
Leandra N — Google review
We spent one night in Cape Cod, and the hotel receptionist suggested a spot for clam chowder that was just about a mile away. The food was awesome! The clam chowder is definitely a must-try, and we also had a tasty lobster roll. We got seated right away, and the servers were super friendly. The only thing I wish is that we could’ve gone during the day to enjoy the outdoor seating and the view of the river. If you’re in the area and craving clam chowder, this is the place to go. They’ve been recognized multiple times for having the best chowder around!
Marie G — Google review
Best clam chowder of our trip!!!! We would definitely eat here again, and probably just get the chowder. The other items we ordered (fish and chips and Cajun sandwich) were ok, but the chowder was worth a return visit. The wait staff were friendly and efficient.
Adriene B — Google review
Captain Parker’s is always our first food stop when we get on Cape and it’s always terrific, today was no different. Clam Chowder is the best I’ve ever had with fresh clams in every bite. Also tried the lobster grilled cheese which was stuffed with knuckle and claw meat and the Parker mer-made cocktail was delicious. Our server was also great per usual. Easily our favorite spot on Cape!

Specialty Museums
Nestled in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, the Whydah Pirate Museum offers a captivating glimpse into the world of piracy through its impressive collection of artifacts from the infamous 18th-century ship, the Whydah Gally. Originally launched in London in 1716 as a slave vessel, this ship was commandeered by pirate Captain Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy just a year later and became notorious for its plundering escapades before meeting its fate off Cape Cod's shores.
This indoor pirate museum is a fascinating look into the history of pirates with the focus being on Whydah pirate ship that sunk in 1717 just off the Cape Cod shore. The remains were found in 1984 and the excavating is still ongoing! The museum is great for kids, families, or adults and is the perfect way to spend an hour or two or more. It's a self guided tour. You will learn about concretions and the interesting history of how pirates came to be pirates and what life was like for them. The museum entrance for adults is $18 and you can book online or just stop in. There are clean restrooms, a gift shop and parking area. The museum is preparing to expand with further exhibits. Worth a visit!
Denise A — Google review
The museum was really cool. Though it definitely requires a LOT of reading. It was super cool to learn the history of Bellamy and they had some very cool models. Also the science section with the concretements was very interesting. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in pirates.
Reilly J — Google review
We decided to visit the museum on a rainy day, along with a multitude of other tourists. While the museum itself seems interesting and has a lot of potential, we were completely unable to enjoy it due to the overwhelming crowd. It was absurdly packed — there was barely room to move. Had we not already purchased tickets online, we would have turned around and left. It’s a shame we couldn’t appreciate what the museum had to offer. On top of that, it was unbearably stuffy inside. Staying there longer than ten minutes was almost impossible. This experience was absolutely not worth nearly $80 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). It felt more like a tourist trap than an actual museum. In fact, I’d call it more of an overhyped exhibit than a true museum — everything felt forced and stretched thin. This was the worst “museum” I’ve visited on Cape Cod. There’s clearly a lot that could be improved — better crowd control, air ventilation, bigger facility, and overall organization — but judging by other reviews, nothing ever changes. Read the reviews, friends, before you go.
Alex K — Google review
Very neat museum which tells the history of pirates and specifically focuses on the Wydah which sank in a storm. This museum requires ALOT of reading, which was great for my husband and I. But not so great for little kids. I could see young kids getting bored quickly. It takes about a hour to go through. Very cool to learn about the history of pirates. There is a little gift shop where you can buy souvenirs too.
Katie L — Google review
The Pirate Museum and its gift shop are a must-see when visiting Cape Cod! 🏴‍☠️ I was fascinated by the stories of real pirates, the history of the slave trade, and the incredible artifacts recovered by divers from the lost ship. The exhibits are both educational and exciting — perfect for all ages. Before entering, there’s a short video that really sets the mood and gives great background on what you’re about to see. A fun, informative, and unforgettable stop, I highly recommend it! (By the way, no photography is allowed inside the museum, so be sure to take in the details while you’re there!)
Cydonie B — Google review
Must see, chance of a life. This is as much someone's labor of love as it is a museum. I went with my wife, and being in a tourist area, I had no expectations, assumed it would be a bit kitsch. Anything but. Superb presentation of history and artifacts that they have made come alive, stunning level of intelligence and thought into the exhibits. Highest possible recommendation.
Robert C — Google review
Overall a nice experience. I think the exhibits could be better designed. One of the most amazing parts was the HUGE pile of treasure, the only discovered pirate treasure.... People Just walked right by. Thinking oh cool, treasure, without knowing the story behind it. If the display for it was larger or even a room specifically for it, people would know how important it is.
Nicole D — Google review
Great experience. The content and exhibits are interesting and the format is small enough that children stay engaged. One can visit for 45 minutes to an hour and come away satisfied, or even stay for 90-120 minutes for a deeper dive (no pun intended). Even though this museum is curated around a specific shipwreck off the Cape Cod coast, the information correlates to broader maritime and trade histories. Our group was mixed and all had a good time, coming away with some newfound knowledge and respect. For improvements I’d recommend the museum evaluates the lighting in some areas to try to illuminate more of the details of the exhibits. The ambiance definitely reflects the dark, dank vibes that pirates experienced below decks, but there are definitely ways to improve the visuals without degrading the overall feel. Around the cannons, for example, is an area that I would’ve liked to better identify some of the details the exhibit was describing. Overall, this museum is an excellent experience. It’s something fun and interesting to do on a cloudy day, or right before grabbing dinner in the neighborhood, or any time you want to engage with something that can fill a smaller window of time on your visit to the Cape.

Seagull Beach is a popular destination located in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts. It's known for its soft, white sand and gentle waters, making it perfect for water sports and family beach activities. The beach offers ample parking, lifeguards on duty, toilet facilities, picnic tables, and concessions. It's also close to world-class restaurants and shops in historic Yarmouth Port. Additionally, the area boasts lush landscaped grounds and borders a nature preserve with many trails to explore.
This was an incredible beach, $25 for the day, and that pass was good for any of the other town beaches in Yarmouth. Everything was clean, the water temperature was recorded at 74, it felt perfect. Lots of little shells, even found a couple conch shells!

Great beach. Somehow we always ended up back here throughout our weekend stay. The kids loved it here. From the views, to the massive amounts of shells to collect to the cleanliness of the beach this one definitely gets 5 stars. I initially took concern with paying 20$ for these beach spots but after seeing how clean these beaches are and how the cig smokers and dog owners are kept at bay, it's actually a price worth paying.
Charles A — Google review
What a way to spend a relaxing summer afternoon. We visited this little beach in charming Cape Cod. There was a $20.00 fee to park, which was a little steep. But we found the bathroom to be clean, perhaps the fee dissuades large numbers of visitors. The water was warm. I am surprised how little waves there are on the East Coast. When we visited there was a lot of seaweed. Kind of freaked my wife out. I don't know if this is normal for all of Cape Cod or just this neach.

Jerry's Seafood & Dairy Freeze is a charming, family-owned fast-food spot that offers a wide range of options including seafood, pizza, and Greek cuisine. The venue has an old-school vibe and is run by the welcoming and sweet owner, Jerry. The menu is extensive with delicious offerings like spinach pie served with homemade garlic bread. Visitors can enjoy their meals outside while taking in the delightful atmosphere. The fried scallop platter and cheeseburger are highly recommended dishes.
I stopped in there to have dinner with my daughter and her boyfriend after spending the day at the Pirate festival. The owner is an older Greek man who's extremely welcoming, sweet and answers. Any question you might have about anything on the menu, and their menu is extensive! I had the spinach pie and its served with their homemade garlice bread which was UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS & let me just tell you it was out of this world delicious homemade & authentic. The prices are very fair for the homemade food that you're getting! My daughter had the fried clam strip meal with french fries and her boyfriend had a cheeseburger, everything was fast and so yummy. I can't wait to go back to Yarmouth and stop at Jerry's again! Highly recommend! The only thing I could recommend is that the interior needs a little updating.

My father in law and I purchased the fried clams, they were ok, but they were as crispy as I would like. The crab cake was tasty but something was off with it, I couldn't quite figure it out. My wife purchased the lobster roll and she didn't like it.

Skippy's Pier I is a beloved waterfront spot in South Yarmouth, Cape Cod, offering classic seafood dishes and stunning marina views. Following a recent renovation, the restaurant now features indoor dining as well as a spacious deck and grassy seating area overlooking the Pier One Marina on the Parker River. The menu primarily focuses on seafood with some steak and burger options available. Visitors can enjoy lunch or cocktails on the outdoor patio or at the nautical bar while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
Definitely worth a drive out and visit. Good service and atmosphere all worth the time. Came as a family. 3 adults , 2 kids , Sat outside on the deck. Skippy’s Pier 1 is such a hidden gem and truly one of my new favorite spots on the Cape. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the views of the marina were just beautiful. Whether you're sitting inside the cozy dining room or outside by the water, it’s a perfect place to enjoy a great meal. We tried the clams, lobster roll, and the steak, and honestly, everything was delicious. The clams were fresh, the lobster roll was overflowing, and the steak was cooked exactly how we like it. The drinks were fantastic too; you can really tell they’re made with love! If you’re looking for a place on Cape Cod with great seafood, friendly service, and a beautiful waterfront setting, I can’t recommend Skippy’s enough. We’ll definitely be back.

I would do exactly what it’s named and skip it. The location is good and the server was very nice. Wife’s salad was the only portion of the meal that was edible. She ordered the lobster frittes and I ordered the seafood combination sampler something like that. That had a fish cake on the side surrounded by a corn medley! Unfortunately it was all inedible. We offered to pay the bill but the manager removed the entree’s from the bill.

We (wife and I and two children) called ahead for take out. They originally set the expectation of a 10 minute pick up wait which turned into an additional 10 once we arrived which we didn’t even bat an eye at since 10 minutes seemed super quick for our order anyway. My first thought when picking up was how fun the interior was with their ship themed interior. We received our food and were on our way. Got back home and realized they never packed our crab cakes. Not awesome, but it can happen anywhere you order out from and I should have checked the bag before leaving. I called to let them know it wasn’t in the bag and they said “no problem, we will have them ready in 5-6 minutes”. No apology. Whatever, I just want the food I paid for. It took me about 10 minutes to get back to the restaurant, so not the end of the world, but then they tried to charge us for the crab cakes because “it wasn’t rung up”. They read our order back to us when we ordered and 100 percent read back the order correctly including the crab cakes. I basically told her how crappy it was that they were trying to charge me for their mistake and that I had to drive back while missing dinner with my family, for my portion of the dinner we ordered. In the end, she went back and talked with the manager and I wasn’t charged. Overall the food was mediocre for the price, and service matched that as well. The only thing saving this from being a 1 star review was that they did the right thing in the end.

We did not eat here but all the food looked great with generous portions The comedy show had 4 comedians!!! Tom Cotter the headliner was great! Nice atmosphere and drinks reasonable. We will definitely go again.

This place is such an amazing take. The bar is an actual sailboat/ship and they have water features around the restaurant. When you walk in, you instantly feel at home and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. You can sit inside, or outside overlooking the marina. The menu is smaller but hits on everything you may want. Whether you are taking the family out, or just grabbing drinks and an app, this place is for you! Definitely stop in!

Italian restaurant
Gerardi's Cafe, located in South Yarmouth, MA, offers a romantic and relaxed atmosphere with Sicilian-style cuisine and traditional Italian cocktails. Founded over 20 years ago by Diego and Sasha Gerardi, the restaurant aims to provide an unforgettable dining experience. The menu features a variety of options including grilled swordfish, pasta primavera, homemade lasagna, and grilled veal chop upon request. Additionally, they offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
food and service is very good. We had calamari and mixed green salads followed by swordfish and pasta with bolognese sauce . Everything was excellent! Hostess was super! She made sure we get a good table and accommodated us with kids on a busy night with no reservations. Don’t know her name but big THANK YOU!

Gerardi’s Café in South Yarmouth is hands down my favorite restaurant of all time. Every year when we come to Cape Cod for vacation, this place is an absolute must—and it never disappoints. The food is consistently outstanding. Tonight we had the veal parm, the short rib pasta, and the Alfredo—all perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and made with the freshest ingredients. The homemade bread they bring to the table is warm, crusty, and impossible to stop eating. For dessert, we had the German chocolate cake and the lemon ricotta cheesecake special—both were incredible, the perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal. You can truly taste the love in every bite. The fact that the owner is also the chef, and it’s a family-run restaurant, makes the experience even more special. The service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. If you’re anywhere near Cape Cod, do yourself a favor and make a reservation here. This is the best Italian food I’ve ever had—and one of the best dining experiences you’ll find on the Cape. Don’t miss it!

Highly highly recommend to anyone wanting delicious fresh and authentic Italian food. The waitress we had was AMAZING though I cannot recall her name. The owner even came out to meet us and thank us for complimenting the food. A small business you should visit. We even got clothing with their awesome Medusa logo! 10/10

Is it the best Italian restaurant on the east coast? I can’t say for sure. Is it the best Italian place I’ve ever been to? Absolutely. And I’ve been to a thousand places. New York City, Boston’s north end, our home in the Capital Region, etc. Chef Diego and his wife Sasha have been knocking our socks off for 24 years with the best cuisine around. Meatballs as good as my Nonna’s, crab cakes to die for, and excellent chicken and fish choices. And tonight? Papardelle carbonara that was lights out. I wondered aloud if I could get carbonara this good in Rome itself. Great cocktails, stellar service, warm atmosphere. If you’re on vacation in Cape Cod, you don’t want to skip this gem.

Great food. Menu is small but perfect. Have never had an issue here. Inside is a bit tight to maximize space, but very well kept. Service was excellent.
Rob R — Google review
Quality and quantity of food is exceptional. We had a salmon special, chicken picatta, and the absolute best risotto ever. Service warm and attentive. A bit noisey and too cool temperature for our comfort. Try to get a booth - our table was small and in the midst of everything, a bit distracting. But we would definitely return.

Wow...i was blown away by this place! Food is prepared to order so I was able to get a dish i wouldn't normally have had since they were able to leave out an ingredient. Everything from the bread and oil to the entrees was suburb! Cannot recommend this enough!

Restaurant
Lobster Boat is a cozy riverside eatery that serves delectable seafood and traditional American dishes. The restaurant boasts a stunning view and charming ambiance, designed to resemble an old ship. Patrons rave about the mouthwatering mussels, which are served fresh with a zesty drizzle of lemon juice, while the lobster bisque receives high praise for its rich and creamy texture.
Oh my god. The food here was so delicious. Hands down the best clam chowder that I have ever had. It was so different and lovely. It had this herby flavor to it that made it so much better. I got the lobster scampi, and oh my god, I am drooling just thinking about it again. I can't have garlic, and they were able to make it without the garlic, and it still tasted amazing. My boyfriend got the swordfish stead with sautéed vegetables and rice pilaf. They give a generous portion for the swordfish steak. It was very tender, it fell apart so easily. I have never seen my boyfriend enjoy a meal like that before. For dessert, I got the Molten Lava Cake, and my boyfriend got the Mud Pie. We both enjoyed our desserts so much that we almost asked for more. We were the only ones who wanted to sit outside, and I'm glad. It was such a beautiful night and the food was so delicious. Our waiter was amazing. He was so kind and great to talk to. I wish I could have their food every day. Oh, and the place is great for people in wheelchairs. You can even sit outside.
Leandra N — Google review
Overall very good experience. Food was not perfect but still good. Started with potato skins which were breaded and fried first. None of us liked the breading on them. We each tried one and left the rest. The scampi was very good. Nice portion and decent sized shrimp. Stuffed chicken was good but too salty. Broiled haddock was very good. All vegetables were cooked to perfection. Nice outdoor seating and excellent service.

We love this place. It's definitely underrated, and although it's a bit "touristy", the food is amazing. We went only once this summer, but had a great experience. Everyone ordered something different, and we all loved our meals. Our server was a young guy visiting from Greece for the summer. He was friendly and efficient. Recommend.
Craig M — Google review
Another place my wife went to as a kid. We came early for dinner and ordered too much. She got clam chowder (which she liked a lot) and I got raw oysters (Which were fine but a little overpriced). She got a steak and I was going to get the lobster for 30 dollars but the waiter was a little bit insistent that I needed to get two for 60 dollars so in a fluster I ordered the seafood combo--which was huge and had whole belly clams, shrimp, scallops, and flounder. The shrimp and the flounder were excellent. The scallops were a little under-breaded and kind of got mushy. The clams were kind of sad and depressing. My wife loved her steak. I would go back but it wasn't my favorite place. All of that said, the wait staff were very good and the view of the bay is really charming.

Once my family and I checked in here, there was a smell kind of like a nursing home, but the patio seats were great. The menu was good, but it definently lives up to its name. Lots and lots of lobster. The clam chowder was okay, but a bit too salty and the lobster bisque was very heavy. Not my style but still good. We got steamed lobster and a lobster roll, and the lobsters were very fresh.

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Cape Cod. Not quite as popular as Whydah Pirate Museum, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Cape Cod, located in Massachusetts, is a renowned coastal area featuring charming towns, lighthouses, and delectable seafood. It's a popular summer vacation spot on the East Coast with its stunning shorelines and rich history. Visitors can enjoy seal watching and various outdoor activities while savoring the local flavors. The area offers a quintessential beach vacation experience with family-friendly attractions like mini-golf games and ice cream nights.
We had an enjoyable time visiting Cape Cod. It’s a beautiful beach destination with lots of scenic ocean views and lots of unique places to eat and shop. We were able to see a whale when we went whale watching which was really cool so that was a highlight of the trip.

We only had about 3 hours to spend on the way from Boston to Maine and debated coming out to the cape with such little time to spend and I could not have been happier with the choice we made to go! We traveled down to Chatham and back out within our time limit and made quite a few stops along the way! The Hyannis beach was STUNNING! The white sand beach and getting to see all the horseshoe crabs that have washed ashore for the first time was so neat! I could have spent a week heading to Providence and back! If you're thinking about it, just do it!!!!

Simply gorgeous! Lots of charm all.along this coastal area. Highly recommend a visit. Go in the fall to enjoy all the changing leaves too. Can be a bit on the pricier side for restaurants.
Kbarnet33 — Google review
If you don't like crowds, then come during the off-season. But be prepared, most everything is closed. Many restaurants, shops, gallery's. Museums, etc. Also, service at places that are open is suspect, and prices are high. Come during peak season, everything is open. Seafood is in season, but still costly and crowded as he'll. Pick your poison.

The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum, located on Main Street in Hyannis, offers a more personal look at the 35th president of the United States compared to its larger counterpart in Boston. Visitors are greeted by a statue of a young JFK walking barefoot through beach grass.
This is a very interesting and informative museum about the life of John Kennedy and his family. We spent several hours walking through the museum and learning about the President and family members. From his childhood up to when he was assinated. There is also a section about the life of John Kennedy,Jr and the tragic plane accident which ended his an his wife lives. This is a must see museum when you are here.
Susan B — Google review
We went here on a rainy day. Best spot to park was the lot behind it. Trying to find parking otherwise would have been a chore. If you are a fan of JFK or American history, definitely stop in at least once. There are some videos as you go through, but it's basically a self-guided tour. It was a well-done presentation of his life and career, heavily flavored with his love of the Cape.
Andrew S — Google review
Excellent small museum with lots of information about family and covered a good part of entire life. Wonderful pictures and laid out nicely. Great Irish pub directly across the street.
Brooke D — Google review
Well worth seeing. Small museum but well laid out exhibits on the story of the Kennedy family and their home on Hyanasport. Special exhibits. When we were there the special exhibit focused on JFK Jr.
David B — Google review
The JFK Museum is a trove of historical artifacts and exhibits that illustrate the course of JFK’s presidency as well as contemporary history of the Civil Rights Movement and the Cold War.

Ann and Janice were terrific! The museum brought back sad memories. But the displays were very ordinary with no pizazz. If it weren't for Janice and Ann being wonderful ambassadors to the museum, I'm not dure I'd remember much at all.
Justin O — Google review
Well worth a visit. The ladies working behind the reception were very friendly and polite and have some good advice. The museum is detailed and covers all parts of JFK's life, along with his wife and his siblings. Many photographs and videos are on display and it is easy to park in the car park behind the museum (for free)
Colin N — Google review
I really enjoyed this small, lovingly assembled museum. What makes it special is its focus on JFK's private life with his family, which you don't often see. It presents a new and very human perspective on a historical icon, highlighted by many beautiful and fascinating photos. Highly recommended.

Wild Animal Lagoon is a unique and fun miniature golf course located in West Yarmouth. The course features whimsical displays of giraffes, hippos, elephants, lions, and gorillas, providing a challenging yet entertaining experience for visitors. With obstacle wheels that change the rules at certain holes and informative signs about the animals, it offers an engaging adventure for families with younger children. The safari and animal-themed courses are designed to be smaller and easier to navigate, making them ideal for kids.
Fun course, not too challenging. The theming is spot on, but showing its age a bit. The location is good and there's plenty of parking, this is a good way to spend some time and have some laughs.
Matt O — Google review
We had such a fun time at this animal-themed mini golf spot! The course was really cute, and the theming added a lot of charm. The holes were just the right mix of simple and a little tricky — perfect for both kids and adults. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Prices were a little on the higher side, but honestly felt fair for how much fun we had. We came first thing in the morning and had no wait! Which for the Cape is a huge plus. Definitely a great spot for a family outing or something a little different to do with friends!
Theresa W — Google review
This course was so much fun! It is so big and filled with fun animal statues. The animal noises were funny. They have a wheel to spin at some holes for more of a challenge. We had a blast at this course and highly recommend it.

Can’t believe I’ve never been here … we loved it. The young boy at the door was super sweet. Course has animal sounds playing while you golf. The kids loved it. Super clean. Course is so cool. All the animals are in great condition. Bathroom is super clean . Our new fav spot for mini golf ! We met Sainya when we left and she was cleaning the whole desk area. The whole staff is amazing.

Beautiful spot and location. Extreme fun unless there's a crowd and then you have wait to play. If you don't have a toddler missing nap time or a teen having a day, 🤫😮‍💨 - it makes for a truly fun day! Time it right!

Nice fun mini golf. 18 holes very well kept and clean
M C — Google review
First of all, my son rates it a 5 out of 5 so what do I know, really. Pros: cute theme, green is in good shape, 18 holes that did their job Cons: The only obstacle that any of the holes had was the last one with the giraffe; the rest were just varying levels of hill and curve, plus one that was two levels through a pipe (admittedly cool). This is probably a me thing but the animal theme of each hole didnt match up to which animal was next to it. Overall it's cute and kids will definitely enjoy it. As an adult, it feels like they leaned too hard on having the water features and animal statues and didn't bother making the actual game play very interesting.
Sabina C — Google review
Loved it here! I came with my three daughters (10, 7 and 2 years of age). They all had a blast! I paid $31 for all four of us. $11 adult and $10 per kid I believe 2 and under can play free. We came at around 3pm and there were a few people playing so no lines! The golf courses are safari and animal themed which was cool and there were speakers on the tree with animal noises. The sections weren't difficult to complete and the course was pretty long. It was worth the price and I highly recommend!!

The Antiques Center of Yarmouth is a treasure trove for antique enthusiasts, offering a wide array of collectibles including paintings, books, jewelry, glassware, and silver. Visitors can immerse themselves in history as they browse through vintage postcards from around the world dating back to 1903, glass bottles from the 1930s and 1950s, records, newspapers, and more. The friendly staff are on hand to assist with any specific searches or inquiries.
Fun store to walk around. Lots of interesting stuff. I found the colored glass cup circles i was looking for. They had quite a variety, too. Room enough to move. The store was crowded, but it didn't feel overwhelming. Nicely kept.

Vast selection with many rooms. Some items seem to be inappropriately priced & some are visibly reproductions priced as antique which is disheartening. Regardless we do enjoy coming here yearly & browsing through the mountains of stuff- seriously, there is so much. There’s something for everyone. There is a restroom with a key, and it’s temperature controlled. Overall 8/10 antique and vintage shop.

A trip back in time, cool items , well displayed lots of parking a big variety of toys and glassware, antique, gasoline signs, tools and pictures too much to list. This is a must see to appreciate store.

I went here yesterday and u couldn’t get outta there. It’s huge and they are reasonably priced. They had marbles everywhere and sorry I bought most of them lol. I got a nice atlas jar of them. I sanded down the rust and now I need to soak it more in vinegar with the residue inside the glass. I also got a nice red cape cod glass cup and a beautiful grape design milk glass vase. Thank you! I’m going back for more marbles and glass bottles! The marbles in the poison bottle(which is awesome as well!) are Akro Agates and the vitro agate Aqua Jewels are in the original packaging and they had more!

This is by far the best antique store that I have ever been to. The store is huge and filled with so many amazing things. It does make me sad to see vintage portraits of families, but they are beautiful. Today, we bought a stop sign, a wooden christmas nutcracker, a figurine of Santa unwrapping a bunny, and an Ohio license plate. I could honestly spend all day at this place. The blonde hair lady at the counter, I love her. She's so splendid and offered to wrap up your items. The urge to buy some of the vintage jewelry was very strong. I hope everyone takes the time to really look at everything like we did. Everything there really is amazing.
Leandra N — Google review
So many things to see. Spent an hour and a half just looking walked away with a vintage egg beater just like Grandma’s and a vintage salt shaker. Will be back
Rochelle S — Google review
The cashier and owner are the rudest people . The disgust in there eye rolls and tsk tsk out of their mouths was enough to make us leave items behind. They made it quite clear how avoid they were that we ask for discounts on items over $50. Hey , that's your policy don't take it out on the customer. They were so inconvenienced to have to call the booth owner. They stated that they weren't going to answer anyway so the price is the price marked!! It's very dusty and dark.

Outdoor Activities
Grays Beach, also known as Bass Hole Beach, is a charming coastal spot in Yarmouth Port, offering a small stretch of sandy shoreline and shallow waters perfect for wading. The highlight of the area is the 800-foot boardwalk that extends over the marshes, providing stunning views of nature and Cape Cod Bay. The Callery-Darling trails wind through the marshes and offer delightful payoffs such as an old-fashioned swing and panoramic vistas of Barnstable's Sandy Neck.
Such an amazing place! We visited to watch a sunset. The salt marsh and beach were at low tide, making for a wide array of spectacular views. And of course the boardwalk is a beautiful way to take in the scenery.
Lee N — Google review
The best part of Grays Beach is the boardwalk that stretches out over the salt marsh. At low tide, one will see the most incredible array of water ways winding through the vegetation. We saw various mollusk shells and some birds looking for grub. The walkway is very serene.

Peaceful place to enjoy, small parking try to come early or after 4pm to enjoy the nature and beach. Great place to do cookout for family and friends. I know kids could have a lot of fun. And if you looking to take nice pictures this is the place. People from different places come to have the best picture moment at this place early morning or night..
Ivy S — Google review
It was $25 to park but the pass is good for all day. The tide was low and we were able to walk a good ways out (at our own risk). The boardwalk is long and you walk through the marsh. We saw Osprey's and crabs. There are short walking trails near the parking lot and a playground behind it.
Kallee ( — Google review
I hate this beach and Boardwalk every time I go to the Cape. Have brought my kayaks the past two times for a nice late afternoon/evening kayak across the bay onto the beaches in Dennis. And then along the boardwalk. Great sunsets if you were there at that time. They recently Started to charge for parking during the peak hours, which should always been free in previous years. But like any other paid parking beach, if you go there in the late afternoon, they close up the toll booth. As far as the beach, not great quality as it’s muddy as a result of the surrounding marsh environment. And it’s not directly opened to the water so it doesn’t get waves or considerable water circulation.
Andrew M — Google review
One of my kids favorite beaches, but the BUGS are out of control in the summer months. You can’t even be on the beach, especially in the evenings, with the bugs. No amount of bug spray, citronella, or thermal cell will help. You need a mosquito net full body suit! The sunset is pretty to watch from the car. Maybe the bugs are only bad in the evening, as we do not go during the day due to paid parking.
Katie M — Google review
Gorgeous place to visit in the golden hour/sunset. Bring your camera! Romantic.
Jessica M — Google review
Beautiful sunset view with a very long boardwalk over the marsh. Right before sunset there are a lot of cars coming in trying to find parking, so suggest you get there a bit earlier. While busy, everyone was nice and there were no problems using the boardwalk. The end of the boardwalk can get full on a nice evening. Looking for crabs in the marsh while walking the boardwalk is fun for the kiddos.

Restaurant
Yarmouth House is a long-standing restaurant in West Yarmouth, Cape Cod, known for its sprawling space and waterwheel adornment. It's a popular choice for special events and offers a menu featuring lobster, prime rib, and more. The restaurant also serves coffee, breakfast, dinner, and pizza at its location on the corner of Route 28 and Transportation Road.
I recently signed at Yarmouth House with a group of 5. We all agreed the drinks were yummy, food was delicious and the service was great! There was live music and the vibe was so wonderful that two members of my party went back a few nights later and had drinks and apps at the bar.

The restaurant has plenty of parking and was decorated for Halloween. There’s a cool water wheel inside the building. Service is slow and appears to be short-staffed. The bread came out fresh and hot with the olive oil dip. You’ll definitely want more bread to either dip in the olive oil or your meal! The lobster mac and cheese is pricey but you definitely get your moneys worth. The cheese is flavorful and comes out really hot with the pasta. The lobster portion is generous is large chunks of lobster that makes this a more filling meal than a lobster roll. This is part of a family of restaurants around Cape Cod. I would give them all a try.
Thomas T — Google review
I’ve admired the outside of this restaurant for years, but never stopped by while on vacation until today. Let me tell you, this place was amazing and my mom and I were so excited to finally give it a try and can’t wait to come back! We both wanted to treat ourselves to lobsters. She got the baked stuffed, and it was cooked perfectly. I got the boiled lobster, and it was delicious. The mashed potatoes on the side were tasty too! Both lobsters were cooked so well that the tails, our least favorite parts, were soft, easy to eat, and not chewy (which happens). Yum! Dessert was also good! It gets super busy here, and while I was a little bummed we were seated in the back overflow room even though we had reservations, it was ok. We will be back, hopefully with a seat in the cute front room.

Terrible experience on the last night of our honeymoon. We got seated at 6:05 and didn't see our server until almost 6:25- after i mentioned the wait time she seemed to rush us out. Took our drinks and food order at the same time, then proceeded to make sure we were aware that she would rush the kitchen. Rushing the kitchen was futile, I ordered the filet mignon (cooked medium) and half lobster, with mashed potatoes and any veg other than the veg typically served (the typical veg with the dish is asparagus.) The steak i ordered came out raw, the veg was asparagus, my husbands dish was perfect. They took my dish back to the kitchen, to have them remake my steak and get a new vegtable- and brought me back the same raw steak, no vegetables. They took the plate back AGAIN- my steak came out well done, the lobster was tough after sitting under a heat lamp, and this time they brought a plate of steamed vegetable mush with no flavor. This was a terrible end to me and my husbands honeymoon- and the server seemed unsympathetic while the manager couldn't even be bothered to visit. One star because at least they comped the meal after the terrible experience

I have loved this location for years. Every time I visit the cape I typically have to make a stop for the service, decor, menu options, rotating specials, house moscato, margaritas, lobsters and prime rib. You can check them out to see on select days they do have a three course meal if you are seated by 5:45, which is absolutely worth it, but I do go whether I am ordering that deal or not. I can’t recommend them enough! Also, the scallop Gorgonzola special was incredible!

We reserved a table via OpenTable, so we were accommodated very fast. Our server was nice , but unfortunately was not able to hear us very well because we were seated next to the musician playing that night. By the way , the saxophonist was very talented and warmed up the whole time with his music. Going back to the food , we started with a margarita and sangria for my wife and I. Margarita was served in a giant glass so we can tell for sure that not the best alcohol was used for the drink. My white sangria was ok. Appetizers, crab cake , octopus and the steak and cheese rolls. The only one with very good texture and flavor was the crab cake, the other two were just ok , nothing else. Main entrees : seafood fra diavlo and lamp chops. Pasta was overcooked, sauce perfectly balanced with spicy and levels of salt, the super star was the sauce. My wife lamb was cold and very low in salt and flavor. The cut was not the best for this dish and the vegetables as side were extremely overcooked. The place is beautiful and I was expecting mind blowing dishes, unfortunately the food is not very good to be honest. Our server was nice and very attentive to our needs.

We were seated at our reserved time, 7PM for my friend’s birthday since we were referred here by our hotel. It took our server a long time to greet us and take our orders. After 40mins we received drinks and another 10mins to get bread/oil. We never received refills for our drinks or waters. After 90mins we got our food and it was cold because our server was so inattentive. He never checked on us to see how the food was. We had to find an employee to request to leave. The manager then came over and took our plates, told him we wished to pay for our drinks and leave but he was very dismissive and spoke over us/cut us off. He then came back over a few minutes later with (seemingly) the same plates we had before but piping hot. My first plate, the chicken kebab, had two skewers and the tzatziki sauce. The second, “new”, plate the manager brought out had only one and missing sauce. Our server came over shortly thereafter and we told him we wished to pay and leave and didn’t want new plates as it had been 2hrs at that point and the experience was ruined. He only said “ok” with an attitude, took the plates, left, and finally brought the check shortly later. The manager then came and inspected our tip before we left. The whole experience felt very dismissive and disrespectful. The atmosphere is great but the service and food needs work.

Overall, not a great experience and we won’t be back. Sadly, my 14 ounce prime rib was severely overcooked despite me ordering it medium rare. This wasn’t our servers fault as she told us that they were out of medium rare prime rib (as she served me my food) and she very was apologetic. Definitely would’ve ordered something else had I known that beforehand and saved myself the $42 since it was mostly very tough to eat but sounds like it was the kitchens fault so my advice would be ask beforehand if they have medium rare prime rib available before ordering it. My espresso martini was good. My wife was indifferent about her entree (chicken kebab). Restaurant sadly didn’t offer anything to remedy the prime rib situation so it is what it is.

Family restaurant
Giardino's Family Restaurant, run by the Giardino family for over 40 years, offers a friendly pub atmosphere with a variety of Italian dishes and made-to-order pizzas using their homemade sauce. You can enjoy your meal in the dining room, at the bar, or outside. The menu features options like prime rib, seafood, wings, and more. The place is known for its great service and well-prepared dishes such as marinara sauce and clam chowder.
Review of Giardino’s – 4.5/5 Stars I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Giardino’s in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, about five times now, and I can confidently say that this Italian gem consistently delivers a delightful experience. While my teenage kids find the pizza to be just average (still good, mind you), I believe the overall food quality is happily above expectations! One standout dish for me was the stuffed pepper soup. I had never tried it before, and it was a remarkable surprise! The flavors were rich and comforting, and I can’t wait to order it again on my next visit. The chicken parmigiana was another highlight; it was perfectly sauced and, unlike many places, didn’t have the typical acidity that can sometimes ruin the experience for me. This is a dish I’ll definitely keep coming back for. As for the baked ziti, it features a creamy sauce that leans heavily toward cheesy goodness rather than a traditional tomato sauce. This may come down to personal preference, but I found it to be a a slightly different twist. The garlic bread was soft, but still crispy in all the right parts - another highlight of a fairly basic Italian staple. On a recent Sunday visit, the place was packed, primarily because the Patriots were playing. It was heartwarming to see the local crowd, mostly over fifty, creating a supportive and surprisingly respectful atmosphere for what could easily have been a raucous sports bar vibe. I truly appreciate that Giardino’s strikes a perfect balance—plenty of TVs to catch the game without the unbearable noise that often accompanies sports venues. Just a heads up for other team fans: during Patriots games, all TVs will be tuned to the game, so plan accordingly! Overall, I highly recommend Giardino’s for anyone looking for a solid Italian meal in a welcoming environment. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Ordered a bbq chicken sub with cheese to go. When I got home I was very disappointed in what they called a bbq chicken sub. Very little amount of chicken. More cheese and air than anything. Also, got an order of the buffalo tenders which consisted of 5 small tenders. Very disappointing. The “sub” was $13 and the tenders were $12. I went back to the restaurant and showed them the the sub. He touched it with his un gloved finger and pointed out the only piece of chicken. I asked if that was the normal amount of chicken for a $13 sub and he said yes.

When looking over reviews for this restaurant, kind of a mixed bag some people really love it. Other people are turned off, so I decided to go and experience it. When entering the restaurant, you definitely get an old school vibe kind of reminds me of my grandmother‘s basement. We ordered several different dishes off the menu all came out hot and tasty. After looking over review complaints, I think people have to realize this is not a downtown Hyannis bougie restaurant, and once you take a step back and realize the vibe of the place then a lot of the negative complaints about the place kind of go away. I had the fish and chips. It was the cheapest price I found in probably all of Cape Cod and it was good chunks of fish. Everything we ordered came out promptly. Everything was hot and tasty. One complaint was parking the parking lot. There was plenty of room. I don’t know what that’s about. If you would like to see the full YouTube review of this restaurant, you can find it at review time with Tim

A very popular spot with locals, this no frills restaurant and bar always seems to draw large crowds at dinner time. I enjoy the pizzas, and we’ve had good luck with their pasta dishes as well. Service could be a bit speedier, but overall it’s a decent restaurant if you’re looking for something less touristy.

Good place to hang out for a couple of drinks. Bartenders were very nice and out going, but the food was was your typical bar food. The coconut shrimp was overcooked and probably was from BJ’s. Hawaiian pizza had absolutely no favor. The prices were fair, upbeat atmosphere and there is plenty of parking. Great pour on the wine.🍷!! I would go back if I was in the area again, but just for a quick drink.

I can’t eat a lot at one time, so I got an order of chicken tenders. Omg, they were phenomenal! These are homemade, not that preservative filled crap. The breading is crunchy and flavorful. My favorite was the white sauce they put on the side. I had never had any dipping sauce like that before, and it was really good! Service was friendly and on point. I wanted to go back while I was in the area, but I didn’t have time. I definitely have it on the list for the next time I’m in town!

Modern French restaurant
Pain D'Avignon Restaurant Boulangerie is a warm European-style bakery and French bistro located in Hyannis, Cape Cod. Despite its unconventional location in a warehouse near the Barnstable airport, this charming eatery offers a delightful selection of breads, pastries, classic bistro dishes, sandwiches, salads, and daily specials.
Came in for just a baguette and left with a bag full of goodies! Everything is so fresh and tasty! Very clean inside and nice staff at the take out pastry counter. Would absolutely go back!

We were so excited to eat here for brunch and were sure to make reservations well in advance. It is located off the main street on a side street in Hyannis with limited specified parking. Lovely interior and so busy on a Sunday. There is also a bakery connected to the restaurant and bar. All has a a relaxed vibe but it can get a little loud. We decided on the traditional eggs Benedict and the Oeufs Pochés, poached farm eggs over seared crispy polenta cake, housemade spicy chorizo with tomato compote & Hollandaise sauce. We both loved the lightness and creaminess of the Hollandaise. The polenta was crispy outside, creamy inside and a perfect substitute for the typical English muffin. However, the spicy chorizo was not tasty. It was not too spicy; it was not all all appettizing. The home fries that accompanied the eggs Benedict were nothing to write home about. The service was fine. The food for all seemed to take longer than one might have expected to come out, but it was very busy at the time we were there. The bakery was bustling and we got a sourdough and a country sourdough to take home. Both were great, especially toasted. The restrooms and whole place was clean. I am not sure that we would choose to dine in again, but might stop on by to pick up some bakery items and breads if in the area.

the definition of “they don’t make ‘em like this anymore”. Best bread I’ve ever had in my life. Coffee is amazing try any espresso drink and thank me later. Went for dinner the the food was fenomenal my compliments to the chef! The bartender Marcus is an OG mixologist you can tell, perfect balance on drinks. I could go all day saying how much I love the quality of this place. But you gotta see it for yourself. It’s definitely a gastronomical experience! Will come back for sure!

Nestled in the heart of West Yarmouth, The Loft Restaurant is a delightful culinary haven that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This charming spot not only serves up delicious meals but also offers light entertainment to enhance your visit. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, the owners work tirelessly to ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued.
This was the second time I had eaten at The Loft restaurant - each time, the experience was excellent. I had Haddock Francaise, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Beforehand, we were served a salad and dinner roll. The dessert was warm apple crisp with whipped cream. The food was excellent, the service was great and It was a wonderful overall experience.

The food was great. I had the roasted half chicken. The white meat was juicy and tender. The loaded mashed potatoes were amazing. The service was great. The live music was entertaining but way too loud. It was so loud I was not able to talk to the people sitting next to me.

We went to listen to a performer. I had a beer and the table shared some fries. The entertainer was, i'll say interesting. The music was a good mix of time frames. The temp in the room was far too hot, perhaps they were having a/c issues. The location is upstairs at a hotel/resort. If the entertainment was right, I would likely go again.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for this restaurant! They allowed me to host a large group reservation this past weekend for my mother’s 60th birthday. They were so attentive, kind and did such a wonderful job of handling our large group. The owner and our waitress went above and beyond to make sure everyone had what they needed. They allowed us to stay as long as we wanted, and let us bring cake and some decorations up as well. The band was so much fun too! As a side note-their bacon wrapped scallops and salmon are some foods I always look forward to every time I visit the cove. They always make our vacations more fun! Thanks again!

Went there on our honeymoon dinner and never went back the entire stay. Drinks were made wrong and had fruit flies all inside my drink. Tried to get the servers attention but they were so focused on regulars at the bar she paid no mind to us. We saw her maybe 2 times our entire time there. If you’re not a regular there don’t expect them to pay any mind to you. The food wasn’t too bad we had a pizza and some calamari and dessert. Honestly not worth the money they charge. We had much better service and food across the street from the mom and pop place Geridinos. Highly recommend them, we went there 6/7 days we were there!
Amanda P — Google review
Been there twice and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The owners were very hands on, and Kevin went out of the way and bent backwards to accommodate quests and guggled the tables to fit. All the servers work very hard and hussled everywhere. Maybe a bit overworked. the place was rocking busy. Plus good entertainment on the weekends. Price is very reasonable.

⭐☆☆☆☆ My wife and I have been coming to The Cove at Yarmouth since 2017 because we own a timeshare here, and for some reason we always missed trying The Loft. This year we finally made a reservation—and what a disappointment. After being seated, we waited almost half an hour and not a single server came to our table. There were three waitresses working who looked our way multiple times, yet none of them approached us. Eventually, we decided to leave. Sadly, this was such a poor experience that we will never return to The Loft. Very disappointing, especially given how much we’ve enjoyed everything else at The Cove over the years.

I visited with young kids, and they loved the food! The place offered lactose-free options, and the service was excellent—our food arrived within 7–10 minutes. There was plenty of parking, and they had a wide variety of breakfast and lunch choices, plus to-go boxes available.

The park has massive inflatable obstacles and adrenaline pumping challenges that guarantee endless fun for all ages. It operates seasonally and offers an easy booking process through Group On.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Non-Stop Fun at Cape Cod Inflatable Park! 🎈💦🔥 Cape Cod Inflatable Park is an absolute blast and the perfect place to bring the kids for a day full of fun and excitement! From the moment you walk in, you can see the pure joy on the kids’ faces as they jump, climb, and slide on the endless inflatables. It’s a dream come true for any child (and honestly, adults can have a great time too)! The park is well-maintained, clean, and super safe, with plenty of staff around to ensure everything runs smoothly. There are inflatables for all ages and energy levels, so whether your kid loves high-energy obstacle courses or just bouncing around, there’s something for everyone. One of the best parts? The water park section! 💦 On hot summer days, the splash areas and water slides are a lifesaver and add a whole new level of fun. Plus, the park offers plenty of seating areas for parents to relax while the kids burn off all that energy. I also appreciate the affordable pricing and different pass options, making it easy to spend the whole day here without breaking the bank. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a day of adventure, laughs, and unforgettable memories! 🎉🏰💦

This is not a large water park. Because this park only has 5 slides it creates huge lines to use them. Even the lazy river was loaded with people. The park was clean and we were able to get a table but we arrived when the park opened. Inflatable section is cool for little kids.

Water and inflatable park - took kids ages 2 to 7 (4 kids). Rented a cabana which was nice but not really necessary. If you order food, need to be aware of the sea gulls preying for you to move so they can swoop in and take. We went on a hot day and the cement and artificial grass was hot. I would recommend water shoes as even in the wave pool, you can feel your feet getting sanded. The water park was fun but the lines for the older rides were long. Also no food is allowed in the park so beware that you will need to buy food. Lots of options. The pizza was really good! There are two areas to fill water bottles. Parking was good and attendants show you were to park. Security checks your bags as you enter.

Overall, ok. Rooms are basic. On the small side. Clean enough. Need more pillows. The water park is great but the water was cold. We visited the end of August, and the only thing that i survived to do was slides. The adult only bar area was amazing!!! Great drinks. Kids enjoyed the park for sure. Great 2-day escape. There are plenty of restaurants close by. Plenty of parking. Rooms coming with 4 pool passes.

I didn't expect to like this place as much as I did. It's actually awesome. The water slides were great fun and well maintained. There were many varieties of bouncy castles and they were all seriously fun. We got a cabana and when traveling with both young children and old grandparents, it was well worth it.

We had a blast, everything adds up quickly though. With 2 adults and 2 kids we ended up spending $400. Also they are great about accommodating children with a food allergy or sensitivity. I just brought a note and was able to bring a small lunch box.

Skull Island at Bass River Sports World is a family-friendly adventure center located in the heart of Yarmouth. It offers a wide range of activities including mini-golf, go-karting, batting cages, golf driving range, indoor arcade, kickball and whiffle ball. The park features unique pirate-themed mini-golf holes and fast electric go-karts that provide an entertaining experience for visitors.
What a fun place to golf up the Skull Island mountain and down it again. Awesome waterworks, something new at every hole. Lots of fun. The mini golf, driving range, go carts and arcade are well maintained. The go carts are electric so the noise and pollution is reduced but so is the speed. All the employees and other patrons were friendly. Have fun!

Very fun place! Spent some time at the arcade and then did a game of mini golf. Arcade had a decent selection of games and some good claw machines that are actually winnable unlike most other arcades I’ve been to in the past. Mini golf was also great. Very fun, well maintained course and each hole was different! There’s also an ice cream place next door (separate business but still very convenient to be so close to)

Family and I stopped here when visiting nearby Chatham. Great place for golf, go-karts and arcade. Everything was reasonably priced and moved along quite well even on a busy summer Monday. Golf has some unique holes and great "scenery" with the pirate themed stuff and was enjoyable to play. Go Kart's were a lot of fun and were faster than normal go karts, also electric and not as loud as gas powered go karts. Great prices and very entertaining for the whole family. Definitely recommend. There's also an ice cream shop next door!

Great place to do a little bit of everything. They have the go carts, driving range, mini golf and arcade... All great prices. No food or drinks, only a water dispenser in building though. Only downside.

So much fun, like I remembered when my older kids were younger. Go carts are electric and fast, driving range mats need a little updating and mini golf was enjoyable! Next door has hard ice cream and across the street there is a DQ for soft serve. What else do you want?

This is our second year playing the adventure golf and the driving range. It was fun as always. For the driving range it's $20 for a basket of 110 balls. We're not professionals or anything but we have so much fun!

Mini-golf wasn't great wouldn't do it again. The driving range was fun. Go-karts looked not worth it and kinda lame probably good for young kid.

Miniature golf at its best. The course is well themed and maintained. The go carts are better than the rest and are electric powered, most sre not. No more has fumes to breathe in. A must do in Cape Cod.

Parker River Beach, situated in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, offers a serene and tranquil setting that rivals national parks. Despite not being classified as a national park, it exudes charm and beauty. The beach is currently peaceful and uncrowded due to changing weather conditions, providing breathtaking views and an opportunity to enjoy the sunset. It is well-maintained with daily cleaning and public bathrooms available.
Gorgeous, well maintained beach. Great sunset. Lots of beautiful benches for off-season visiting the beach break.

No dogs allowed May 15 – Labor Day. We visited for a day trip on April 24, 2025, and had a great experience. There was plenty of parking and easy access to the beach. Nice benches were available just a short, flat walk from the lot. Restrooms are on-site but open seasonally, so if you're visiting in the off-season, plan ahead. We had our dog on a leash and had no issues—just be sure to clean up after your pet. Note that part of the beach is marked as private, so pay attention to posted signs. As of April 2025, South Shore Road is closed in the area due to construction—follow the detour signs.

Lovely beach. Excellent services, benches, open off season to all. Be aware of limits of private beaches.
John D — Google review
Really nice beach. Almost no waves at all the whole week we were there, which for me is great. They beach is separated and on one side there is a playground on sand, then at the separation there are benches to sit and look at the ocean. Go down the stairs and you're on the beach. It does get somewhat crowded though, and a lot of people are very inconsiderate and extremely loud. Yelling and talking loudly non-stop. So if you're looking to relax with some peace and quiet like I was, I would go to a different beach. Plenty of others with less people. Another issue is the bathroom. It is absolutely filthy, looks like it never gets cleaned, each stall has what is obviously not water all over the floor, and toilet paper everywhere. I don't know what these people are doing in there. Plus, it's incredibly dark in there, tiny filthy windows barely let any light in and the light on the ceiling probably hasn't worked since the 70's, when this bathroom was probably built and last cleaned. And two sinks and only one, 100 year old hand dryer. Also, everyone brings their dogs there and let them off leash.

If you're on the lookout for a cozy dining experience that feels like home, look no further than Papa Gino's. This family-friendly chain specializes in hand-stretched pizzas, pasta dishes, and subs that are sure to satisfy your cravings. Diners rave about their Chicken Spaghetti and Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, which strike the perfect balance of flavor without being overly creamy.
The pizza was delicious ! The sauce was tasty and just the right amount of cheese. Often pizza places have too much sauce and cheese making it messy and hard to eat or not enough of either making it dry and tasteless . The pizza was great ! Restaurant clean and inviting and the workers were hospitable and attentive .

I ordered two large cheese with extra cheese. I got two large pizzas burnt cheese , and crust that was so hard and sharp it cut my mouth. I called the store and asked for the manager to ask for a refund. The associate said the manager was gone and to call back tomorrow. He should have taken my number and left a note for his manager. I don’t intend to buy anything from Papa Gino’s again.

We had rewards dollars that were expiring, so we asked our daughter (age 9) if she wanted Papa Gino’s for dinner…the answer is always YES! She loves their cheese pizza and breadsticks with cheese. I had a meatball sub and my husband had a burger. All the food was good. I picked up our order and my interaction with Alaina was great. She was friendly and knowledgeable…I learned the pita pockets at Papa Gino’s are made fresh daily. I’ll definitely try a sub in a pocket soon. We ate dinner at home, so atmosphere gets a 5. :) This location is old; I know that because I grew up in Yarmouth and my parents always got our pizzas at Papa Gino’s, so it’s very nostalgic for me.

The toppings were fresh. The crust was stiff and bland. Mozzarella sticks were decent. Most people take out. Dining area is large but in need of renovation. Employees were pleasant. No cups of water provided for dine in.

Not too cheesy with a nice sweet sauce and a wonderful dough that creates a lovely crust. Also, great service, great prices, and a nice place to sit and have a meal. I highly recommend.

Always a "MUST" stop when I come home for a visit. The size of the slices you get with the lunch special is so filling, but in THE BEST way! The crust is not too thick, nor too thin. Sauce has a sweetness to it that so good!

We were stranded at a local resort with no food options. Amanda and Papa Gino's came to our rescue. The hot pizza was delivered to our hotel in record time. Amanda even called back to check to make sure the delivery was made and the food was good. Thank you for good food and great service!

All around amazing! I had Andre take my order and he was so nice about my questions and helped answer every single one. When arriving to pick up my order one of my meals were still being prepared and Andre was double checking the order and making sure everything was correct on the meal.

Pizza restaurant
Takis Pizza is a long-standing pizza joint offering a wide variety of custom-made pizzas and subs. It's known for its friendly service, reasonable prices, and delicious food. Customers praise the customizable pizzas with well-balanced toppings and perfectly done crust. The gyro is also highly recommended for its flavorful and well-cooked meat. The restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere where patrons feel at home while enjoying their meals.
Wonderful experience! Food tasted great and the service was friendly and fast! First time down the Cape and this was the best food at the best price with all the inflation! Some people grumbled on pricing but clearly they have not seen the news or left their house in the past month or two. Pizza was a custom job and did not disappoint! Good toppings ratio and crust was done well! Gyro! Have not had one in a couple years and this hit the spot. Meat was cooked well and seasoned well too. The sauce was on point and the pita was this nice balance of hot and crispy but soft and chewy to compliment the cool sauce and lettuce/onion combo! Gyro and pizza with a seltzer water, what more could you want on a hot day near the beach? I highly recommend and will repeat on my next trip to the Cape!

I had a great buffalo chicken calzone. The best experience ever. I will definitely come back for more. The staff is friendly and the place is spotless clean.

On some real shit, this place competes with the best steak and cheeses of where I'm from. I'm from Delaware. The absolute best are Pizza Villa and Little Creek Grill. I didn't expect a cheesesteak this good from a pizza place. A must try to be sure. They also do delivery, good for nearby hotels. Going again this week.

I stopped here today and I asked the owner what he suggested. Steak and cheese sub with onions mushrooms and peppers. I'm glad I took his suggested menu item. Fresh and flavorful. The pizza/subshop was an existing business that the current owner has only had since February of 2023. He wants to brand it in his own fashion which will take some time. He believes his edge over surrounding shops is he prides himself on not taking any shortcuts and gives a bit more food qualities to the consumer according to him. He is a one-man operation. He wants to improve the appearance of the inside, I mentioned hopefully people will come here for good food which is reasonably priced, and they will keep coming back if the quality keeps continuing. Doesn't matter what the floors look like. By the way they are just painted concrete floors, lol. Good luck to him. Stop by and enjoy some menu items.

Got pizza from here awhile ago (maybe 2018 or 2019) and it was very good. Finally made it back to the Cape and wanted to try this spot again after the years and it was a bit of a let down. The pizza was okay, but nothing special like how I remembered. The dough had almost a chemical-like taste to it. I don’t know if there’s new owners or a new recipe but it would’ve been great if they kept things the same. Probably wouldn’t go back

Taki's is awesome. The pizza is really good. This is our second vacation in the Cape and we had to stop and get our favorite pizza again. Staff is friendly and prices are good.

I haven't been to takis in a long time...it must be under new ownership. I got a Caesar wrap and a regular fry. Definitely not going there anymore. The chicken Caesar wrap was absolutely tasteless and the fries were so soggy like they were fried earlier today and then microwaved a few minutes before I got there. Very disappointing.

Italian restaurant
Four Seasons Trattoria is an Italian eatery that offers a variety of comforting dishes in a relaxed setting, complete with a cozy bar. This all-Italian restaurant showcases remarkable culinary skills and recipes, aiming to satisfy guests' cravings with delectable homemade options like pizza, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, soups and spaghetti. Quality taste and generous portions are prioritized at Four Seasons Trattoria without compromising reasonable prices.
Four Seasons has great Italian food and service that caters to you. We had the swordfish, sirloin and linguine with chicken in Alfredo sauce. Their bread and oil is amazing as good as their roasted garlic oil you can order with the homemade linguine. The chocolate souffle and pistachio cheesecake are great as well. The only criticism would be that as they took in more customers and filled the restaurant the service slowed with that which is understandable and shouldn't be a big negative overall our service was very attentive and focused on our experience. Definitely a place worth stopping and enjoying great food and service.

We were vacationing in the Cape and we found this perfect Italian eatery with the best Italian food I have had in a while. My family and I sat down outside as a group of ten people. The wait staff was very personable and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. I ordered the Chicken Saltinbocca and was amazed at the taste. My son got the small cheese pizza and my twins both got the spaghetti and meatballs and every one really loved their meals. The rest of my extended family all said their meals were equally tasty I just don't remember what they got. I would highly recommend this restaurant if your looking for a good atmosphere and great food. I can not say enough good things about this place.

We had reservations and when walking up to the door we weren't even sure if this establishment was open. The restaurant was completely empty and no other customers came in while we were there. *The bread served was stale but the eggplant/ olive oil dip was great. *We ordered the 10" margherita pizza with no sliced tomatoes. It was decent. It does have big slices of garlic on it. *The side of meatballs tasted and looked like frozen meatballs. *The chicken parmigiana was just okay. The pasta was cooked perfectly though. *Ordered the kids penne pasta with a tiny bit of olive oil on it, stressed a few times just a little bit of oil, it came out swimming in oil. *The pasta sauce on the food was good.

Best real Italian food in a long time!! I was very surprised, all of it was so good. Service was amazing. Food was amazing. Will definitely return as often as possible!

The owner, who apparently is the greeter as well, is rude, surly, and hostile in general and when asked legitimate questions about the menu. He has no time for customers who have the audacity to query how a menu or wine list item is described. Diners are not important it appears. Sadly. The waitstaff tries, but are slow to defend the owner. The food is okay, but hardly stellar. Used to frequent this restaurant and recommend it, but not anymore.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! We have traveled all over, and we are HUGE FOODIES, and this restaurant is truly 5 stars! The food is so so so so so so good! I ordered the Frutti Di Mare (with red and white sauce mixed) and my partner ordered the homemade linguine and meatballs. The cannolis and carrot cake were also delicious with great coffee. We highly recommend this place, and we will DEFINITELY come back to cape Cod in order to eat here. Hats off to the very nice chef and his busy staff. Our waitress was so sweet!
Jordan W — Google review
My family and I went while vacationing on the cape. It was actually my birthday and my brother called me to wish me a happy birthday as the manager approached our table. He very rudely told me there were no phones allowed in his restaurant and I could go outside if I needed to be on the phone. I honestly thought he was joking because of his rude tone, I mean there was no sign up or any way of my knowing this. I have no problem with the rule as it’s his prerogative to allow or not allow something in his restaurant but there was no reason at all for the way he spoke to me. He also then proceeded to check on every other table to see how other customers were enjoying their food was except ours. Side note there was a gentleman next to me on his phone on and off throughout the time he was there and the manager didn’t say a word to him. Needless to say we won’t be returning. Food was ok.
Suzanne — Google review
Amazing meal! I tried a special - chicken with mushrooms in a white wine lemon sauce with my choice of pasta and it was so good it should be a mainstay! Some menu items specify pasta/side, but definitely ask if you're not sure because they're very accommodating. Sarah took great care of us, answering all of our questions. The tilapia was cooked perfect and was delicious. For dessert, their homemade pistachio cheesecake (served with pistachio gelati) was flavorful and perfectly creamy. The chocolate moose is also recommended. Honestly I just can't wait to try more of their menu!!

Seafood restaurant
908 Bistro in Yarmouth offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a rustic interior and a small, cozy bar. The limited but impressive cocktail list and nice selection of wines add to the experience. Dishes like Calamari with fried pickles, Portuguese Seafood Stew, Seared Scallops, pan-seared cod, swordfish with Parmesan risotto, and Jerk grilled shrimp are presented beautifully and bursting with flavor.
First visit to 908 Bistro for us. We were greeted with a nice smile and brought to our table. Very nice rustic interior, has a small bar that is perfect fit, and I believe it sat 6 people. Our waitress was so warm and welcoming. The cocktail list was limited but looked great. The wine list had a nice selection as well. We ordered Calamari with fried pickles (sweet) and it was delicious. We ordered the Portuguese Seafood Stew and the Seared Scallops. Both were presented beautifully and had wonderful layers of flavor. The wine we ordered went very well with our meals. We had such a nice relaxing evening, we can not wait to go back and try out the other items on the menu. It was worth the visit, and I strongly recommend reservations.

Highly recommend! We stumbled upon this quaint space after a quick “food near me” search and it did not disappoint. I was worried we wouldn’t get a seat because it was 5:30 on a Friday but we were seated right away. The servers were attentive and kind. The food was absolutely delicious (my kiddo said it was the best Cesar salad he’s ever had and he ate almost every bite!). The butternut squash and pumpkin ravioli was delicious. The honey-glazed salmon was perfect. And I was pleasantly surprised to see a non-alcoholic beer on the menu. We got the chocolate cake to go and I’m glad we did!

Been coming to the Cape for years and we finally decided to try this place. When we got there we heard the people behind us complaining about their streak tips being charred, we should have left then. The fish tacos were as bland as it gets, my sons glass of sprite had a chip in the glass so I asked for a new glass of sprite, they brought him club soda. Sent that back and asked for the pineapple juice that came with the kids meal but they charged us for the pineapple juice. The fries were as plain as it gets, I've had better fries at McDonald's. They tasted like something out of the frozen food section thrown in a fryer, there was no seasoning at all!. My daughters Mac and cheese was an experience, all the Mac and Cheese was literally stuck together like a snake when you lifted it off the plate. We exchanged that for the chicken fingers, which was good. My wife liked her meal but said it was nothing special, and the burger was a burger that my son got. Service was also pretty poor, there are maybe 8 tables in there, we were 1 of 4 tables being served and it took almost 40 minutes to get our meal. I would not recommend. Very pricey for what you get!

Dined @ 908 on Wednesday, sat at the bar and started with two glasses of wine. For dinner, we ordered the Korean BBQ Salmon Tacos and the Seared Ahi Tuna. Food was amazing as always!! The Korean Tacos were so delicious and my husband cleared his plate of tuna, left a grain of rice. Then to finish the meal we shared an Espresso Martini! It was one of the best that we’ve had!! Love 908 🥰!!

We came across this place on the Gluten Free app and it didn't disappoint. It is a cute place and food was excellent! Our party had fish & chips, Seared Ahi Tuna, Cajun honey lime Salmon and the Baked Local Seafood. Definitely would recommend securing a reservation.

Impeccable service and delightful entrees and cocktails. There are only a handful of seats so be sure to make a reservation!

Ordered through Door Dash. We got a fried clam dinner - strip parts were good, but bellies were not. I can't really describe the taste, but it was really bad. My dog wouldn't eat them either. The burger and onion rings were good, but the clam chowder was terrible... All huge chunks of potatoes, no "soup" and overwhelmed by an herb I could not quite put my finger on, maybe oregano? I feel bad saying this, but it was probably the worst clam chowder I've ever had. All of that said, maybe they were having an off night! I will give them another try in the future.

The Old Yarmouth Inn, established in 1696, is a charming and elegant establishment located along the Historic Old King's Highway in Yarmouth Port. This historic inn and restaurant has been a beloved fixture in the area for generations, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for visitors to enjoy classic New England cuisine made with locally sourced seafood.
Great local restaurant & tavern for almost any taste or occasion. I have been coming occasionally for years and the staff is almost like family now. The Tavern room (or bar seating) is the place to be and enjoy good food, drink and fun company. The dining room, or Red room are both great for larger parties or a special occasion. The Prime Rib on Friday or Saturday nights is probably one of the best on Cape Cod. Make sure you are there early or call ahead and reserve it, as it always sells out quickly. For a special occasion or just because, the Baked Stuffed Lobster is to die for! Make sure you are hungry if you order it!

Enjoyed our evening, first with drinks at their bar, then dinner. We had their crusted Haddock, which was very good with nice flavor. I also loved their lobster bisque as an appetizer. Our waitress was very attentive and made the evening special.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience at the Old Yarmouth Inn in Dennis, Massachusetts! Everything was top-notch. On a friend's recommendation, I ordered Spencer's Manhattan, the stuffed quahog, and the sweet potato fries. When I mentioned the fries, the waitress casually said, "whatever floats your boat," which made me smile. Those fries were some of the best I've ever had—crispy, flavorful, and just perfect. The staff was friendly and seemed unaware of how incredible their food is! Highly recommend this gem!

I recently visited this Yarmouth inn , and it was absolutely delicious. The highlight of my meal was the lobster—it was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The rich butter sauce paired with it was incredible. The rest of the seafood was fresh and tasty as well. The staff was friendly and made sure everything was just right. If you love good lobster and fresh seafood, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!

With an Olde fashioned tavern vibe, this place has been in business since the 1700's. It has a cozy bar and 3 different dining rooms to experience. Service was excellent with a curated menu that stands the test of time, as they reintroduce their all time favorites again and again for special holiday menus.
Fran M — Google review
I spent months planning a special trip to Yarmouth Port for my wife and me. I carefully chose a beautiful place to stay (The Inn at Cape Cod — a solid 5 out of 5 stars!), mapped out a whale watching tour, a relaxing day on Nantucket with lunch at the Rose and Crown, and a visit to the whaling museum and quaint shops. For our final evening, I wanted something a little more upscale to cap off the trip — and The Old Yarmouth Inn seemed the perfect fit. And it is upscale. Housed in a well-preserved late 17th-century building, the Inn evokes a sense of colonial elegance. The seafood menu is broad, and yes, the prices reflect that — but so do the portions and the flavor, which helps justify the cost. But there’s a line between upscale and snobby. Things began well. We had reservations and were seated quickly in the main dining room. Nearby were several small parties, and one table of four with a rather loud, opinionated gentleman — I only know he was opinionated because he made sure everyone could hear it. We skipped appetizers, opting for entrees and dessert. My wife had the Lobster Pappardelle, and I chose the fish and chips. Once our meals arrived, however, our server more or less vanished. My water glass sat empty for 15 minutes while she tended, almost exclusively, to the louder table nearby. Obviously, larger tables can mean larger tips, and no restaurant can be held responsible for a guest who insists on commanding the floor. Still, we began to feel… invisible. Eventually, my wife gently called out to ask for water. The server smiled and said, “Of course,” but immediately turned to the busboy with a quick, dismissive, “Water here,” punctuated by a flick of the finger in our direction. From then on, he was our point of contact — including when he kindly relayed our dessert order. Aside from being a quiet table of two, I honestly don’t know what we did to receive such cold treatment. We were polite, dressed appropriately, and though I had a camera and took a few discreet photos, I wasn’t disruptive — others were doing the same. We were simply a couple hoping to end our trip on a warm and memorable note. Everywhere else we went in Yarmouth and Hyannis, we were met with kindness. And to be fair, any restaurant can have an off night, and any server — or owner, for that matter — can have a day when things feel a bit overwhelming. At The Old Yarmouth Inn, the food was very good — but the experience was not. And when I planned this meal, I was hoping for both. We were served, but we were not welcomed. Update: After I posted this review, the owner personally reached out. He was kind, professional, and made it clear he cared about both the customer experience and his staff. He also offered a refund — which I hadn’t asked for — as a gesture of goodwill. I deeply appreciated the call. It was a stand-up response from someone who clearly wants his restaurant to reflect both quality and hospitality. Were I to travel to Yarmouth Port again, the care shown in his response demonstrates that this is a class establishment worthy of another opportunity.

The ambience is great. Menus are daily. Seafood is beyond fresh. Meals are cooked to order and are excellent. Meals are above average expensive, but our 2 meals were superb. Service was okay. Our waitress kinda left my wife and I hanging during our meal while she was servicing her larger tables of customers finishing their meals. I would easily rate our meal in the high 4's if it weren't for the fact that I drank diet Pepsi during our meal while my wife had cocktails. I had 3 heavily iced glasses of diet Pepsi during our meal. Our final bill included charges for soda x 3 @ $4.00 each. My issue has nothing to do with a $4 charge for a soda. It has everything to do with our spending $120 + tip for two and to then be nickel and dimed by being charged for each one of my 3 sodas. The restaurant cost of a soda pour in an iced glass costs roughly $.03 per glass of soda, maybe less. I don't get why such a fine restaurant had to charge me for 3 diet sodas! Bad business and not necessary for the restaurant.

The Edward Gorey House, also known as the Elephant House, is a museum located in Yarmouth Port, MA. It was the former home of Edward Gorey, an artist and author known for his quirky and distinctive style. The museum showcases original artwork, photographs, first editions of his works, and personal possessions that reflect his personality. Visitors can explore changing exhibitions of Gorey's work and other artists' creations.
What a treasure to have Edward Gorey's home as an excellent museum. The staff is wonderful and they create new and fascinating exhibits each year. They have also done an excellent job commemorating his 100th birthday with a gala event and a monthly book group. Their gift shop is also full of treasures in person or online.

I enjoyed this museum more than I expected. The scavenger hunt for The Tinies was the best part of the visit. I was familiar with some of Edward Gorey's work but only a very small portion. I came out with a bigger appreciation and I will be seeking out more of his work in the future.

We visited the Edward Gorey House last week. My husband has been a fan for quite some time, and now I’m officially one too. The tour, led by the house’s director, was fantastic—full of fascinating facts I’d never heard before (and even my husband learned a few new things, surprisingly!). We had a great time browsing the gift shop and left with a few treasures, including a numbered print approved by Gorey himself. We highly recommend the tour!

I can't believe I didn't know this place was in Cape Cod! I saw a flyer at a coffee shop and got so excited. It is a really great little museum, my husband (who had never heard of Edward Gorey) also really enjoyed it. Highly recommend stopping by to look around and check out the gift shop- they do a really good job with the gift shop. We didn't have reservations when we went, but I think it's a good idea to make them just to make sure you can get in since it's pretty small and get the times of the talks.

Came here after my wife saw a woman on Antiques Roadshow with some Ed Gorey artwork. I looked him up and found this cute little museum of his house on the Cape. We live in Oregon now, and I put this on a list of places to look into when we were in the area to visit family. Due to my poor time management skills on this trip, we were very tired after flying, and then driving here. We did more of a self-guided tour, and we would definitely return if we were in the area.
Gerard J — Google review
I have loved Edward Gorey since I was a kid and came across his illustrations in books by John Bellairs. After visiting the museum, I love him even more. He was such a unique and brilliant person; his ability to tap into the absurd and sinister was remarkable. The house was not too busy, and the talk by the tour guide was interesting and just the right length. You're left to explore at your own pace. You really come away with a sense of Gorey and his life. The gift shop was great

Really well done living memorial for my favorite illustrator. We loved the scavenger hunt and how the director/guide and other staff member incorporated Gorey’s renowned dark humor in their interactions with visitors. Can’t wait to return.

Nestled in the heart of Dennis, Massachusetts, the Cape Cod Museum of Art is a vibrant celebration of artistic expression that showcases both permanent and rotating exhibits featuring works from local artists spanning the 20th century to contemporary times. This cultural gem serves as a vital hub for art lovers, offering seven distinct galleries filled with an impressive array of modern, impressionist, portraiture, and sculpture pieces.
What a great visit and a great series of exhibits. The motorcycle section is quite amazing really with some spectacular bikes to view. Many pieces throughout that are quite special as well. I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area and interested in such things.

Attended the unveiling of Ralph Mencini's "Mocha" and was very impressed with this museum and grounds. Cape Cod artists are featured. They make good use of their small building which is on the same property as the Dennis Playhouse, Movie Theater and The Encore Cafe. Gift Shop.
Virginia H — Google review
A really lovely little museum. If anything a wee bit too small. A lovely sculpture garden and a top notch gift shop. The staff are helpful and engaging.
Martin M — Google review
Perfect size to spend a bit of time and enjoy wonderfully curated art works on a short vacation. Docents are engaging and warm.
Gina W — Google review
I’ve been to Cape Cod over 20 times and I try to come here every visit. This is a very nice fine arts museum and the exhibits are well selected. The outdoor sculpture garden is also very nice. Love the location because it’s near the Cape cinema and the Cape Playhouse.
Mary E — Google review
Qualitative little gem. Beautiful sculptures nestled among paths and gardens, as well as a dedicated wing. Quite extraordinary pieces. CCMOA always leaves me feeling so refreshed for the varied art experiences it offers with each new exhibition. The classes are terrific , as well. Really worth stopping in anytime!
Cate R — Google review
A wonderful art museum focused on local Cape Cod artists. The vintage motorcycle exhibit in Summer 2024 was outstanding. Definitely worth the trip from anywhere on the Cape.
Bob T — Google review
Great spot to spend an hour inside. Might also spend an hour outside enjoying the sculpture garden. The gift shop is full of unique items.

Restaurant
Nestled in a charming setting, Longfellow's Pub is a delightful throwback to the 1980s with its cozy paneled walls and intimate bar atmosphere. This inviting spot offers an impressive menu featuring prime rib and other classic American dishes, making it a perfect escape from the usual seafood fare. Open daily for lunch and dinner, plus brunch on Sundays, it's a beloved local haunt that provides excellent service without the touristy hustle of nearby beaches.
4 of us went to Longfellow's for a birthday celebration. Drinks were good and well poured. We had the mussels and stuffed mushrooms appetizers, excellent. Our dinners - 2 prime ribs, baked scallops, and a burger - were all excellent. Cooked to our liking and nice portions. We took dessert home because we were so full. Paloma was an attentive server. Will definitely return.
Sharon A — Google review
The Chicken Marsala is home cooking done right. Tender creamy and with slight sweet and sour flavor to still make it “thin”. Also mushroom is the highlight. I gave four stars for food as the portion (especially the spaghetti) is not that big. It could also just be that the food is too tasty. 😋
Yuan Y — Google review
Came for dinner and the food and service were both really good, my only complaint was that it was expensive for the amount of food in the entree. I had stuffed shrimp and it only came with 4. I could have eaten twice that! My husband had fried fish that was very good. We enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere was cozy.

8oz Filet w/ mashed potatoes and corn was delicious. Our waiter was excellent
Brian S — Google review
Was on the Cape on business and stopped here for dinner because the reviews were good, especially for the Prime Rib. We got both that and the pork chops. They did not disappoint, and I daresay the pork chops were the best I've had outside of Texas. Service was great. Definite locals hangout but we still felt welcome. Hope to go back again next time we're in town.

*edit* Came back today after having worked on my house all day, and got prime rib and potato skins to go....it was amazing! I was in and out in no time, even though they were super busy. Love this restaurant! I hadn't eaten here in a couple years, due to a bad experience back before the new management/owners took over. I stopped in tonight, to get myself some dinner after a long day at the hospital with my elderly Mother. What a difference! The dining room has been renovated , the staff is SUPER friendly, and their already famous prime rib has gotten better, if that's even possible! I would give them 10 stars if I could, . The whole place is just so much better than it was before, it's like night and day!
Mike W — Google review
A great townie pub with excellent service and a sweet treat away from the tourists on the beach. The steak was delicious! The lower prices are a thrilling relief from the general upcharge of being on the Cape. The $11 cocktails were amazing and our server was great about making my daughter a non alcoholic "fancy drink" she could enjoy with the adults. I think it was made of OJ, pineapple juice, soda water, and cranberry juice. It even had extra cherries!
Amelia T — Google review
Nice clean neighborhood pub-type place with great food at reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive service by Deb. Plenty of parking. A little off the beaten path in a tiny strip mall but that makes this place a hidden gem and definitely worth a try!

American restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Dennis, Scargo Cafe is a delightful dining destination that beautifully marries American cuisine with a touch of New England charm. Housed in a traditional colonial-style building, this intimate eatery offers various seating options, including a cozy fireplace dining room and an inviting patio. The menu showcases an array of delectable dishes featuring local seafood, hearty sandwiches like the classic Reuben, and flavorful bowls such as the Mediterranean farro bowl.
Wonderful! My girlfriend and I just went for the first time today, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly and prompt service, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and phenomenal food. Definitely more upscale than your laid-back beach joints down the road. We got the French onion soup, seafood chowder, and lobster rolls. All were probably the best we've ever had. $125 (before tip) for the food and two beers. Considering the quality of the restaurant, I'd say the prices are very much worth it. We were dressed pretty casually, which staff didn't seem to mind at all, but I'd probably at least wear a nicer shirt next time. Only complaint is that the water really needed ice, but that's such a miniscule thing. 10/10 would return!
Kyle P — Google review
To describe Scargo would be refined casual. Called to book and the recording was well thought out and impressive but not over the top. Loved it! The night we arrived early, table was ready. Staff well trained and formal but relaxed. Very busy did not have to wait long for drinks or food. Tuna martini starter, perfect. Seafood strudel was delicious and size was generous but not flowing over the side of the plate. Steak is thick and perfect. Highly recommend!

Excellent dining experience from start to finish. Plenty of parking in the private lot makes arriving stress-free, even at busy times. Inside, the space is cozy and full of character - warm, classic Cape Cod charm with an upscale-casual feel. I tried their house special (photo attached) and it was freshly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made to order. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality, ambiance, and overall experience make it well worth it. Definitely coming back next time I’m in the area!
Alex K — Google review
Awesome place for lunch or dinner, food and service are outstanding! Anke and Staci are professional and helpful servers, it’s clear they care they want you to have great experience! The shrimp salad and grape nut custard were delicious. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, baked perfectly. Scargo Cafe is a “do not miss” when you’re on the cape!
Paul P — Google review
Classic food. Not special delicious and not bad either. The lamb is nicely cooked , very tender but it’s lacking the texture and flavor of mutton. Fried oysters is a bit too salty and small.
Yuwei F — Google review
Swordfish was great. French Onion soup was amazing. Creme Brulee was fantastic. Great place!
Chris W — Google review
Delicious food- really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and Buddha bowl. Drinks were a little sweet for my taste.
Lacey K — Google review
Cute place in Dennis with sectioned dining area, friendly service. Serves bread and butter for starters. Menu had few interesting fusion options. -Hibiscus refresher$9 mocktail with hibiscus tea, lemon, priqly pear puree, soda water, lime -French onion soup $14 delightful with so much cheese! -Herb crusted sea scallops $36 was the winner of the night! Roasted Hokkaido scallops cooked to perfection served with corn, bacon succotash, white miso berry blanc. Flavorful and serving size was good. -Buddha bowl $28 grilled balsamic chicken over chilled quinoa, tomatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, feta, kalamata olives, lemon basil vinaigrette. Sounded very interesting but was a bit disappointing. Sweet potatoes were almost raw and not grilled at all. Ingredients didn't quite blend with each other with unbalanced flavor. Might still return for Hokkaido scallops though when we are in the area again.

Breakfast restaurant
Lunch restaurant
Jack's Outback Restaurant is a charming eatery located in downtown Yarmouthport, hidden behind stores on Main Street. Housed in a renovated quaint building with beautiful beamed ceilings and an open kitchen, it offers indoor and outdoor dining options. The menu features homemade popovers, Belgian waffles, and various egg Benedicts. Kids are sure to love the friendly 12 1/2-year-old golden retriever named Andi who greets patrons at the front stoop.
First, this place is great. Very local, hometown family owned place. Love that. Food is good and we go often. The lemon poppy French toast is awesome!! An the home fries! yum. Only bad I have to say is for the owner and not meant to diss the restaurant. (So please dont let this stop you from going, it really a cool place). So...This last time we went (10/4/25) the server was so unfriendly and un attentive that I really want you to know. While we love Jack's and will always come, know that this server should be let go and in no way represents your restaurants great experience level we've known. Her name is Leanne. She needs to be trained in how to be an attentive, kind and friendly person. I watched her and she was the same with all her tables. Not good for your business. Hope this helps you. I attached out receipt for reference.

Stopped in for Saturday brunch around 10:30 and was seated right away. Drink orders taken and brought quickly. Started with a pop over, which was good. Breakfast was delivered relatively quickly and hot. Pancake batter wasn't great but blueberries were fresh. Eggs were prepared well, toast was well buttered and sides good. Chicken sausage was a good alternative meat option, very tasty. Would recommend
Wesley D — Google review
Neat place with indoor and outdoor seatings. It was fairly hot outside so we prefer to avoid Had an excellent pulled pork sandwich (would be great to have pickles together with it ) , coffee is the usual diner experience. Loved the booth we got, next to the window. Classic friendly service. It seems they are more of a breakfast place though, since they close around 1pm.
Marco E — Google review
I’ve never understood the fascination with Jack’s and always thought it was just serviceable food. But it had a decent vibe and friendly service. Under new ownership it’s gone further downhill in my book. Bland looking plate of hash and eggs. Hash had a strange aftertaste. Asked for crispy home fries because I know if you don’t they’re barely warm, but they were still far from crispy. Servers were friendly and attentive at the counter but everyone else working there looked miserable. Pretty hot in there as well with no cross ventilation or fan. Can’t imagine what it will be like in July. Never again. Sticking with Red Cottage or The West End.
MrCooperBuddy — Google review
The best breakfast I've ever had. I wish we lived around here. Definitely try their popover!
Sepand H — Google review
Stopped for breakfast our last day of vacation. So glad we did! Great service, and we both loved our food. Took some popovers to go and they were wonderful. Would absolutely come back if we visit the area again 🙂
Scott A — Google review
Our favorite breakfast place on the Cape. Food was standard breakfast fare. Their popovers are really good! Service was excellent as always. Go early as they do get busy but the tables turn over pretty fast.
Stewart C — Google review
I’ve had breakfast at a lot of places on the Cape but for me “Jack’s Out Back” stands above them all. The quality of their food is outstanding. From the coffee on, everything is always top shelf. I’m a big fan of their own country ham. It’s a little extra if you opt for it over the regular ham but is worth every penny. Large tasty pieces oozing with flavor are what you’re in for if you order it. I ordered poached on GF multigrain toast as well. The eggs were perfect, not hard, not runny, but just in between they way i like them. The GF toast is the best i’ve had anywhere. GF bread/toast is often not that tasty but at Outback Jack’s it is, a pleasant surprise. Home fries are the best i’ve ever had anywhere on or off Cape. If you’ve never been Jack’s is a little tricky to find. It’s tucked in way back behind some businesses on Rt. 6A. Just follow the driveway “Outback” to a large parking lot and you’ll find “Jack’s”. I almost forgot Cash only and they offer complimentary coffee at the front as you just might have to wait for a High Top, Booth or the Counter.

Nestled along Route 6A in Dennis, Captain Frosty's is the quintessential seafood shack that captures the essence of coastal dining. Since its establishment in 1976, this charming eatery has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike, serving up mouthwatering lobster rolls, crispy fried clams, and fresh fish & chips made with Atlantic cod. The inviting atmosphere extends to their outdoor patio where families can enjoy their meals while kids play nearby.
Consistent, delicious, and friendly atmosphere! A local favorite to grab your lunch, dinner, and/or dessert! Highly recommend their fish & chips! Quantity was plenty!

We go back several times a season and are always pleased with our meals. As a Rhode Islander now living on the Cape I appreciate a good clam cake. These are mighty fine.
Daniel B — Google review
Awesome food. Fresh seafood. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Indoor/ outdoor seat yourself. Prices what you would expect on the cape. Ice cream menu looked great too.
J P — Google review
Must add as your Cape Cod stop!! Such fresh fish / lobster rolls and fries! Came here 8 years ago, and has been on my mind ever since, just as amazing as I remember !
Carlos P — Google review
Perfect place for fresh fried seafood on the Cape! It's clearly a classic establishment that has amazing fried clams (always get them when I go). It's also very popular and busy.
Todd F — Google review
The food is delicious, fresh, and well portioned. Their soft serve ice cream is also very tasty. Seating may be difficult to find, however.
Alissa D — Google review
Went to Captain Frosty’s for a quick lunch. Clearly a local favorite, great atmosphere and the service was good. I got the lobster roll, which was $25, and it tasted just ok for me. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here again, but I enjoyed myself.
Ela M — Google review
Casual family dining with seafood and burgers and Frosty treats. Indoor and outdoor seating is provided and there are clean restrooms. No adult beverages. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Prices are reasonable for Cape Cod... We had a lemonade and two fish and chips platters and it was less than $50 including tip. We both agreed that fish was delicious, moist and flaky. The fries and coleslaw were good. Overall we were very pleased with our experience in this clean and friendly family restaurant.
