County park has playground, picnic areas, train, carousel, nature center, tennis, trails & stables.
Great park for an evening walk. There are lots of interesting features to see here, and it's also good for kids. This place is huge! Plant lovers, this is a must-see; there's a botanical garden as well as a lake to the side of the park. There are also slides for kids, and you can bring your pet. It gets pretty busy, so expect lots of people here, especially during summertime.

We went to the park on Easter Sunday. We had a barbecue with friends. It was great! The place is clean and safe. There are restrooms. The women's restroom was clean in the morning, but not in the afternoon. The playgrounds are great for kids. There are picnic tables and barbecues. There is a beautiful area with a lake and tulips. I was delighted to visit the park. I recommend it for family and friends, or just for a walk and admiring nature.
Datiele F — Google review
It a beautiful National Park with tones of Japanese flowers and trees as well as other American flowers and trees. It is a big park that people can go jogging. It also has a few ponds with plenty of Red Ear Turtles, Geese and different types of birds. There is a section just for fragrance flowers.

I grew up coming to Wheaton Regional Park and now I have the pleasure of bringing my daughter here to enjoy. It has been a long time since I had visited, but last week I came twice. The train is better than I remember. We took a ride for $4 dollars. The carousel was also $4 albeit a tad too short in length. The playground area is absolutely amazing. They have a ton of new toys and areas to play. My daughter loved the big blue hill, slides, swings, and dinosaur. Bathrooms were clean and there were ample places to throw away rubbish. Additionally, I found parking easy and plentiful. This is a wonderful little park.
Luis ( — Google review
We bought tickets for the Eye Spy train during the Easter dates and were so pleased with our experience. We unfortunately missed our window due to poor GPS navigation and the park staff was so helpful and generous by letting us get on the next ride as long as there were open seats. The kids loved the experience and the sightseeing was very enjoyable for the adults. Thank you so much!
Ambar M — Google review
It is beautiful and extremely well taken care of. Each visit is a new experience. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Emilio C — Google review
It’s been years since we visited this park. Having our 4 yo granddaughter with us seemed like the best time to take advantage of what it offered. So so glad we came. Spacious playground properly maintained equipments and safety fences. Many swings for the older kids and younger ones; Different length slides, monkey bars (if that’s still what they’re called) with challenging obstacles and balancing equipments; mountain climbing 101 lol. Then to top it off, a short walk away to the carousel (covered so it’s a nice respite from the sun’s heat)$4 per child; a long train ride (pay per person of $4 each). And there was a Kona Ice truck parked by the parking lot. Great timing for us! Absolutely loved the experience and planning to bring the whole family for a picnic here next time.

Ice skating rink
Year-round ice-skating rink with a pro shop, work-out room & snack bar.
The ice rink has lessons, public skate sessions, hockey clubs, birthday parties, snack bar, and event spaces.
David N — Google review
Good place to take family or adults for indoor ice skating...clean a good value and lots of fun. Can get busy plenty of parking....wear a helmet!
Gabriel G — Google review
They have a beginners class for kids to learn to ice skate and it is great!
Antonio G — Google review
The ice is well maintained, and the facility a solid all-year skating facility. However, the hours for general skating are all over the place with few opportunities for working adults to hit the ice recreationally. Moreover, when there is time for working adults to come, the rink is nearly exclusively unpredictable novice children going the wrong way or cutting across the rink, thus making for a less-than-relaxing skate.
Adam C — Google review
No refunds. Not even after you pay and then realize you need to rent the kid assist equipment and they are fully rented out to a birthday party. Maybe get more equipment on hand or create some flexibility to the policy. Waste of $ and 1st attempt to get 4yo on the ice.
Rennie C — Google review
I had a game there last night. The rink was really clean - the locker room bathrooms are the cleanest in the area. The spearmint fresh smell, the clean toilet, soap in the dispensers, clear floors... It was pretty impressive. They had team logos printed out on the doors for the teams. The lighting in the rink over the ice itself, needs to be brighter. I had trouble seeing the puck. It was hard to see when I was on the ice. Aside from that, I really like the rink.
Dave T — Google review
Came skating with my family on Saturday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was all smiles, friendly and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Having no idea about skate sizes, we wound up exchanging skates three times before finding some we could get our feet into( thanks Zane and Aliana!). Then we needed help tying them and Heather helped us with that. Loved the atmosphere- felt like a family run rink and it was obvious that everyone was having a good time. Kudos to management.
Andrea S — Google review
Great place for lessons year round with kind and caring instructors that cater to every level of skater. The free skate is also fun and there's plenty of car and bike parking. The only advice is stick to the vending machines and avoid the pizza-shaped slices of disappointment unless you enjoy crunchy dried cheese on warm bread.

Park
9.3-acre park with a playground, brick picnic shelter, basketball & tennis courts & a sports field.
Would not have known about this park if it wasn’t for Tball. Playground next to the field has all the essentials. Bonus that the play ground area has lots of natural shade.
Christine B — Google review
A very good park. 2 EV charging stations, 1 good play structure, 4 swings, a covered pavilion with multiple grills, 2 full length basketball courts (unlit), 2 baseball fields (unlit), 2 tennis courts (unlit and in disrepair).
Erik V — Google review
In terms of baseball fields, field #1 is fine. It has good gravel and doesn't allow water to sit and has good drainage. However field #2 is terrible, there's no drainage and it's heavily neglected. This is a well used field by MCLL and MoCo has no problem charging them for usage but obviously refuse to maintain it with new gravel and better drainage.
Ted S — Google review
Probably wouldn’t reserve this park again. The picnic shelter was dirty and there were a ton of bees, restroom wasn’t very clean either. It’s as if they did not treat or clean the area beforehand.
Kinyatta M — Google review
Two tennis courts, two basketball courts, two softball fields, space for football or soccer, kid's play ground and parking.
Marco Q — Google review
Words are not enough to describe this personable middle ground is, I highly recommend it.
Brandy E — Google review
Peaceful. Wonderful wood fiber surfaced. Playground (so not scorching hot like the rubber surfaced playgrounds). Only down side - busy state highway next to parking with no fencing that could help prevent a child from running
Kathleen M — Google review
I played football on this field for 18 years and now it is wear we play our softball games. It is ideal for cookouts due to the ample parking and covered pavilion. The tennis courts need to be updated and cleared of weeds but it is servicable. Can they please do something about that filthy Jiffy - John?!

Historic cinema hosts a series of film festivals as well as new & classic movies plus documentaries.
They’re always screening old movies, so if you want to watch the Matrix, Godfather, etc. this is the place to check out. You’ll looove the interiors. They also have a bar until late night. Make sure you check them out well, because they’re somewhere in the left corner of the lobby.

Super comfortable seats. Super friendly staff. Affordable drinks & snacks, and a truly great movie experience! My son & I caught a pretty full Sunday matinee of Michael Mann’s HEAT, and it looked and sounded even better than when I first saw it in 1995. A truly great experience for film lovers.
Brian W — Google review
We really enjoy the movies this place shows. They show documentaries and movies that are not shown anywhere else, that I know of and for a great rate. Keep an eye out for their themes like there is a black and white theme where they’ll show all black and white movies, during pride month they’ll show pride, movies, etc. I feel like the theater makes me a better person because of what they show, it’s different like me. You can only get refills on large drinks and large popcorn, not a bad thing just a reminder. They do offer military discounts here too
Ray H — Google review
AFI is one of the reasons I settled in Silver Spring. This independent movie theater is a gem. Their series are crafted with passion and expertise. I love their special events, especially during the international film festivals. I have become a regular here and will always be back!
Sara E — Google review
This is a great place to see new and classic movies. The seats aren't the recliner seats of modern theaters, but the.aeatsatch the classic feel of the movies, and are definitely not as narrow as the movie theater seats of the 90's and before. They program around a director or a theme and that is great in my opinion. If you're a movie buff it's great to see movies in the original format and upscaled movies even if you have a huge TV. Seeing a movie in a theater on a big screen with others is a different experience. The only negative is the popcorn isn't as good as it could be which is a downer but that's about the only negative.
Michael L — Google review
Had to go inside to purchase tickets. Needed two tickets. Was sold one ticket to wrong show. Was told that it did not matter that ticket was for wrong show. Clerk took a break. Once I noticed that I needed another ticket, I alerted new cashier. I stepped forward to offer my credit card and was screamed at for entering ticket booth to pay. Two for two in incompetence and bad behavior. Can’t imagine either of them moving up in careers. Sick of young people with no social skills! I will purchase tickets online from now on!
Ruth S — Google review
I went here this week to watch Frankenstein (2025) on your biggest screen. It's a beautiful theater with an excellent concession stand and a bar. However, the projection quality was pretty bad, it was obvious when it was time to change reels and there were jumps in the film that were several seconds long making the movie watching experience a little weird.
Pierre G — Google review
A beautiful old-fashioned cinema renovated just like new, comfortable seats and excellent screen view. They show nice movies. Was there for the Latin American Film Festival, to watch the Uruguayan movie The Employer and The Employee. Excellent experience. Totality recommended visiting! 👌

Mexican restaurant
La Malinche Spanish and Mexican Tapas is a charming eatery that beautifully blends traditional and contemporary flavors from both cultures. Adorned with vibrant Mexican art, this hidden gem offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying delicious dishes. Their all-you-can-eat brunch is particularly popular, featuring endless mimosas and cocktails alongside standout items like French toast and mussels in a delectable sauce. The attentive staff ensures your experience is enjoyable, making you feel right at home.
Dropped by for drinks & dinner before a concert at The Fillmore Silver Spring and really enjoyed my experience. Service was great, restaurant was clean, chicken fajitas were delicious & the mojitos were perfect. It’s right next to The Fillmore, so a perfect place to grab drinks or food ahead of shows! Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area :)

Hidden gem. Cozy place offering amazing eats. Me and my sister came for the all you can eat brunch which comes with endless mimosas and other select cocktails. The servers are very attentive and keep your glass full. All of the food is tasty. I especially loved the French toast and mussels. Very surprising to me that they serve all you eat mussels. The sauce with it is delicious, chefs kiss. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the silver spring area.
Lauren L — Google review
It's unusual dishes - Spanish (European) flavor & quiet setting. If you're visiting: (1) It's not inexpensive place, expect $15-25 per dish ( $6+ beer/$12+ wine) and it's European portions. You should consider to order an appetizer. (2) Food is really good, including presentation. (3) Service is OK, more on slow side but YMMV. (3) AFAIK, no dedicated parking so you looking at Cameron Street or Wayne avenue parking garages. (4) Recommended: Pan a la Catalina - toasts covered with garlic & salsa Any Chuleta de Cerdo - pork chop going with mashed potatoes as a side Albondigas - meatballs with a spicy sauce If you're familiar with Hollingers nextdoor, this place delivers with much quieter atmosphere.

I love this restaurant! I come here all the time! I had brunch today with my boyfriend and we both enjoyed it. We sat outside because it’s pretty nice, but there’s socially distanced indoor seating as well. The food here is amazing! We tried the bottomless brunch option, which was great because it allowed us to sample multiple food/drink options. All the tapas are so delicious, and the staff are so welcoming. I highly recommend this place!
Syerra C — Google review
La Malinche is fantastic on every level. The food is delicious, nicely prepared, and interesting -- elements of Mexican and Spanish tapas, a mixture of classic favorites and some surprises, with real care invested in each dish. But most importantly, La Malinche is as old-school-welcoming an establishment as we've been to in years, with kind and generous staff that create an atmosphere (even in a space that is not necessarily built for that). One of the best spots in Silver Spring, in a great location for a night on the town.
Corey P — Google review
One of my favorite restaurants to come for a casual brunch. It’s definitely a hole in a wall but I highly recommend. The owner Mr.Lucas is so sweet and welcoming. The service is also good. There is street parking available and parking garages near by but you do need to pay. I recommend using the park mobile app.
Jennifer M — Google review
How has this hidden gem been here for years and I've never stopped by!now Iwanted to give this place a higher score but service here is horrid. We waited forever for food. Our waiter kept giving us the give me a sec finger. Food overall is really good. Order the French toast, dates and steak with eggs. Price is very reasonable for bottomless brunch. $35 for unlimited food and drinks is great value. I would recommend this place for large parties as well. Food quality is fresh and the kitchen is great with constantly refilling your table.
Khoi N — Google review
I stopped here for the first time on my way to a concert and I was very impressed. The food was excellent and very fresh. The service was great and overall a very welcoming atmosphere. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food as well. Definitely will be back when I’m in the area.

Kosher restaurant
I rarely write reviews, but I must make an exception for Holy Chow, a kosher restaurant that deserves recognition. The cuisine is exceptional and made with fresh ingredients. The staff and owners are dedicated to providing top-notch food and service, going above and beyond to ensure quality. One of the highlights is the generous portion sizes they offer. I highly recommend visiting this establishment, where you can indulge in their delicious crispy chicken paired with lomain noodles.
We've been road tripping and sampled some ghastly kosher food. This place was fabulous. Would absolutely return. My kids want to come back. The food tastes good. The portions are ample. The lunch special feels reasonable. The fortune cookies flow freely. The people were knowledgeable and helped us find gluten free options for one kid. They could use a better air conditioner but that's a mild complaint.
Lonna G — Google review
We love Holy Chow's Chinese food, but this review is about their new smoothie bar. We decided we couldn't choose just one, so we gathered some friends and sampled all 7 smoothies. Each one was a hit, but Strawberry Shore was the clear winner. The banana fans were in the minority, but they loved Banana Bay Breeze and Tiki Tropical Twist. We had an amazing time with our group taste test. 10/10 recommend! 😊
Ahuvyah K — Google review
I got chicken Singapore noodles, it had something in it I couldn't identify as chicken. The food was way over priced for what you get. My large looked like a medium compared to what I'm use to having a Chinese carryout. Speaking of being and advertising as the Best Chinese food in the DMV, there wasn't a Chinese in sight. The food taste like Indian version of curry.

I love Holy Chow!!! Great Kosher food usually. But this trip was so salty we couldn’t eat it. We asked for extra sauce. I wonder if they thought we said extra salt. Hope next time is better. Please. Sorry for this review. I usually give 10.

Holy Chow – A Trip Favorite! Planning meals for our student group was a breeze with Holy Chow. Their team made ordering simple, delivery was smooth and on time, and the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered two delivery dinners, and both were a huge hit — in fact, many students said their Holy Chow meals were their favorite part of the trip. Great service, great food, and a stress-free experience. Highly recommend!

My first and last time there tonight... there was a chunk of ginger about the size of a sugar cube in the Kung Pow Chicken I ordered. The "cooks" have no pride, obviously. It's a miracle this dump has good ratings, or it's a scam. Plus my flavorless meal (with the sole exception of the ginger) was over $19??? I'm not looking forward to leftovers tomorrow.

Ordered food. Was told it would be ready in twenty mins. Upon finishing the order the time changed to 30 mins. I showed up 45 mins later to pick it up and they had literally not started making it. And the store kept going on and on about how busy they were so whoops they just didnt do it. Zero effort to remedy the situation.

Sports bar
Stained Glass Pub in Glenmont is a delightful neighborhood spot that perfectly blends the charm of a classic pub with the warmth of a family-friendly restaurant. This inviting venue is ideal for catching live sports, enjoying great music, or simply unwinding with friends over hearty pub fare. Known for its impressive selection of beers and delicious food, it’s particularly famous for its pizza—often described as mini lasagna slices due to its rich sauce and satisfying flavors.
Thanks to my mate, Andy, I now know a good place in Maryland where I can get delicious burgers and curly fries for half off while partaking in Wednesday karaoke sessions. Oh, and delicious apple pie a la mode that serves the slices hot while the vanilla ice cream remains cool. So grateful to him for introducing me to The Stained Glass Pub. Now that I think about it, I feel that The Stained Glass Pub could be a good place to host Dungeons and Dragons nights, “Twin Peak” homage nights, and other fun events in addition to trivia and karaoke. Has cherry pie and coffee been served here before by any chance? Either way, I’d love to come back here soon. :D

The pizza was amazing! Fresh ingredients, perfect flavors, and presentation was beautiful. Service was attentive and knowledgeable Our server was lidya she is so friendly and lovely🥰 Fantastic experience from start to finish. Five stars isn't enough!✌️

I came here with a group on a Thursday night. I couldn't get parking, so I had to park at the next block and walk here. The place was full, and it was trivia night. Live music seemed to have stopped just before we were seated. Subtle dimmed lights with stained glass décor, just like the name says, are throughout the pub. It was a lively place with a lot of people enjoying themselves. How was my burger? I was hungry, and it was a good, filling meal, but flavor-wise, it's mid to low-mid. Let's not miss the point, though. It's a pub. People come here to drink and talk. We did that and enjoyed ourselves. Tasty food would have elevated the experience, but we also don't want to be spending too much on that. So, I'd say don't focus on the food. It'll fill you up. That's it. Enjoy your company.

Stained Glass Pub in Glenmont has a welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff. The wings and pizza are flavorful, and the drinks are always cold and served quickly. It’s a great place to watch a game and relax with friends.

Great Pizza and wings. Plenty of long tables for the whole family. Parking lot pretty full on Fridays and Saturdays of course, that's too be expected. Get there a bit early and if it's a night off w/the spouse and/or friends, get there, when you get there because at the end of the night, y'all get thrown out at the same time. One reccomendation, maybe a theme night one or twice a month(ie 60's 70s,80's 90's, rock, hair/glam- rock, country, sports nights,or even celebrate the Patron Saint of Ireland 🇮🇪 just for fun.) Always enjoyed the food and times I was there.

Great pub and great food. Also, one of the best pizzas in town. I try to eat here when visiting family at leisure world. It's not fancy gourmet, but great solid fresh food. I've not had anything on the menu I didn't like.

Burger is a burger is a burger. It’s what I need it to be! Food and drink and friends. This is a great local place to bring your loved ones. Edit - My one qualm is that one time, my partner ordered a burger and while two of our burgers came out, he had to wait nearly 45 minutes for his. I’m still going to come back, but that was a bit surprising and disappointing and I hope that doesn’t happen again! I really like the atmosphere!

Burger was good, pulled pork was good. Fries need to be reworked. Very lackluster and bland simple fries. Though the server did a great job, they needed additional servers to handle Saturday crowd. I think there was only 2 and it seemed like a lot for 2 to handle. The place was nice and I wish I had something like this in clarksburg.

Saint Camillus Church is a dynamic and diverse Catholic community that promotes an inclusive atmosphere. It boasts a strong sense of faith, with dedicated individuals leading and inspiring others through the teachings of Saint Francis. The liturgies held at this church are characterized by their beauty, while various ministries contribute to the overall positive impact they make. Notably, improvements have been made in maintaining restroom cleanliness.
A very multicultural community. You can have masses in English, Spanish and French. The priests there are a blessing and really approachable. Faith formation there is incredible, emphasizing family catechism which makes parents be a part of the learning process along with their kids. Although we do not go as often because we live further away, every chance we get we head there! So much can be said about this parish and we invite you to come see for yourself.

This diverse community not only provides spiritual guidance but also offers a space for cultural exchange and learning, making it an invaluable asset to Silver Spring. The efforts of St. Camillus Catholic Church in embracing multiculturalism and providing spiritual services in multiple languages reflect a true dedication to unity and understanding, making it a wonderful example of a church that truly lives the values it preaches.

1 star. Extremely strict and sexist. The teachers embarrasses you in front of the class. Unnecessary homework. Super pretty structure but the students are horrible. It’s very stressful to only have 1 day of break. I had to skip the most important and life dedicated field trip, MY LAST FIELD TRIP, to attend the church graduation. If I had missed it I had to repeat another year. That’s when I started growing a grudge against this church. I believe in god and the afterlife but I feel like this church had made me feel like we’re just learning about what we should do to get to heaven and we dedicate my whole life to “worshipping” god. I was hoping we were going to learn about respecting others decisions, spending time together(without FORCING), and supposedly be happy, I felt the complete opposite and had to go to therapy afterwards.

Great place to gather and praise God. Also great community to find support.

Everytime I go I leave happy, filled wuth joy and with a stronger faith. I love the 10.30 International mass. We worship in different languages, the music is superb and the sermons are so uplifting.

An incredible parish with a very social justice-focused mission. Services in English, French, Spanish, and Bangla. Lovely food pantry program as well as ESL classes and other efforts. Favorite part is the small park next to the church.

Lovely, and lively Catholic Church on a hill. The Services are all scheduled in English, Spanish, and French throughout the day on Sundays conducted by Excellent bands and choirs, even some of the Priests can sing

Absolutely wonderful parish. Place we call home. Very grateful to be a member of this community, with its challenges and graces combined. If you are searching for meaning in your life, this is the place. Challenges you to try to do more to put your faith into practice.

Park
Brand new park with sport field, tennis court, playground, natural playground logs, and bathrooms. There are also picnic areas for parties.
Kadijat O — Google review
I went here for a birthday party with my grandson. I like the park area, and the play items were enjoyed by all of the kids. Aged 7 and below. I also liked that the restrooms were right there under the pavilion. On the other hand, I was not thrilled with the lack of cleanliness of the pavilion when we arrived. That was kind of a turnoff, actually. But an easy fix for the Parks and Planning folks. Please. Otherwise, nice park. I should mention that we were on a “first come” basis. So perhaps they clean things up with a reservation and fee. I don't know.
Debbi H — Google review
This park is a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends. It is well-maintained overall, spacious, and a great spot for gatherings, picnics, or community events. One small suggestion would be to pay closer attention to the restroom facilities. Regular checks and cleaning, especially when a shelter has been reserved for events, would make the experience even better for everyone :)
Ummu A — Google review
I recently visited the newly opened playground and was amazed by the variety of play equipment available for all ages. The shaded pavilion is perfect for hosting parties and events; restrooms located right by the pavilion as well. However, I would like to bring to your attention that the log challenge (see pics below) is a fun and engaging activity for kids, but parents should keep a close eye on their little ones. Some of the logs have sharp edges, and my child missed her step on one of the logs, resulting in several scrapes. It would be great if the county could ensure that the logs are well sanded to avoid any such incidents in the future.

Nice playground. I also love the gazebo with many seats and tables. There are grills here to cook. A small benches for kids and extra ones on the sides. Bathrooms are nearby the gazebo. I love this park for my kids.
Necole R — Google review
As a theme, another park with not enough parking for game day. But nice areas with coverage from the sun. A nice playground. It felt like a real community place.
Demetries O — Google review
Very nice. Clean. Wide path for walking. Plenty space for kids to play. Open area for cooking.

A ball is always had in the park, plenty of parking when there isn't an event or whatnot but always a good time for friends and fam.

The Ellsworth Urban Dog Park is a 3.6-acre city park located near downtown Silver Spring. It provides an ample space for dogs to run and play, with separate areas for small and large dogs. The park features water fountains, benches for seating, and a dynamic playground area for children. Although the dog park's sloped terrain may not be ideal for playing fetch, there is a flat concrete area available.
I love going to this dog park with my pup. There are always other dogs here, tons of toys and room to play, and I am happy they leave the water running all year long. The small and large dog sides are fun and well maintained and owners tend to do a decent job watching their dogs.
Hannah H — Google review
The Park has a pretty good dog park. . It is the only one I know of close to downtown Silver. It seems a bit old and not very well kept up but the pups didn't seem to mind too much they still has fun. There are better dog parks but not any within walking distance. I would come back if I were in the area. The small dog area had the cutest little dogs. They also have water fountains and bowls for the dogs.
AA-Ron — Google review
The dog park is closed but the play area and tennis are open. I come here often for tennis, it’s usually not busy, well maintained and shaded on one of the two courts.
Abigail S — Google review
Pretty decent dog park. Not so good for playing fetch. It is basically on a slope. The only flat area is concrete. Also the door to the park is in an impractical place for getting there by vehicle. A lot of very nice dogs here though. My dogs always enjoy their company.
David R — Google review
Bruce loves this park! The park has separate small and large sections, but small dogs (such as Bruce) will frequently play in the large dog section. Good size with some cement, some turf, and some mulch in large section. Both have water and there are usually poop bags. Next to the dog park are picnic tables and a large kids playground.
Thad C — Google review
The dog park has two separate areas for small dog and large dog. There are some benches for sitting. And the park has a lot of space for dogs to run around
Chanpen T — Google review
The big dog's side gets (4+) grade but the small dogs (1) for very little to no thought as to their well being. The very small area is concrete artificial grass with some crushed stone around the outer fence. My question is what happens when it's 80+? It's disgraceful!!!
Robert B — Google review
Ellsworth Dog Park is a wonderful place to bring your dogs. The facilities are nice (they always have running water fountains, clean bowls and places for humans to sit), they have fun turfgrass mounds, lots of mulch and trees, and the folks that go there are friendly. Remember to adopt, don't shop! :)

Sprawling, paved urban plaza hosting frequent farmer's & arts markets, plus an indoor ice rink.
I was. There in Silver Spring for the African cultural festival. It was very nice. They had various performances and good food around and plenty of vendors for clothing jewelry and everything.

Great, but pricey, venue, and in a bustling area with a decent nightlife (if you're looking for an after-party). Affordable parking right across the street. I recommend if you can afford it.

Great place to host a celebration 🍾 its been a long while since I've been to Silver Spring and it didn't disappoint. A lot has changed but it's still a great place for a family outing 👌 from movies to dancing to dinning you will find something for everyone. But for hosting an unforgettable night use Veterans Plaza. Plenty of room to spread people out and create pockets of networking fun.

A great park, especially for kids! Has a playground, tennis court, and a small skateboarding area, among a few other amenities. Has a drinking fountain that doesn't always work, and an actual fountain with benches around it. Great place to relax anytime and any season.
Arsenii T — Google review
I'm judging the park with how my 16 month old plays... This is a wonderful park for independent kids that want to feel like spider man or black Willow. Near the park there is a skate board area that much son enjoyed watching... Parking is a bit of an issue even though it is not hard to get... Experience and explore
PauloMichelle D — Google review
Nice, spread out playground with different areas by age. There's green space and benches with tables. If you like to skateboard, check out the skatepark on the grounds. It's small, but you'll get to do some cool tricks. Street parking is limited.
Monica A — Google review
I like the fact that it is close to downtown silver spring. At the same time, it is a park that is quite idle for family who want to play ground tennis, basketball, and skate boarding. You can have fun while you little kids enjoying. The issue is with parking. Even though there are street parking, but it is hard to get one. I recommend for every body.
Solo G — Google review
Nice little area for walking a dog, wonderful for neighborhood kids with a tennis court, skate park, handball court, and playground. Loses a star for maintenance- there is a fountain of some kind that has never worked in the year and a half I've lived here so it's just stagnant rain water. Also the basketball court has no hoops on the rims, and there are a number of benches in various states of disrepair. There's a ping pong table with no paddles, seems they were stolen some time ago.

Hamburger restaurant
Fuddruckers is a family-oriented franchise that offers a variety of burgers on their homemade sesame seed buns. They also serve salads and shakes, creating a wholesome dining experience. With an extensive selection of burgers available, patrons can enjoy unique flavors and options. The 1/3 Bacon Cheddar Burger is particularly popular among customers. Additionally, Fuddruckers' milkshakes are distinctively delicious in a positive manner.
I love this place so much! Their burgers are very good and they have many different burgers to choose from. I ordered the 1/3 Bacon Cheddar Burger, Chilli Cheese Fries, and a Chocolate Milkshake. Their milkshakes taste different in a good way. The fries were fantastic! I highly recommend this place.
M — Google review
The problem with this place is the staff. The chain is great, has good well flavored food and combinations of burgers. Their fries are delicious (when they are fresh) and their milkshakes are flavorful. The staff.... They aren't friendly when you're ordering, not very helpful with the menu. No one is ever smiling, the food is not made to be presentable but thrown together. The restaurant isn't always kept cleanest. Also, this isn't the restaurants fault, but don't order this to be delivered. It takes too long. For some reason a driver doesn't get assigned to pick up your food fast enough and the restaurant doesn't keep it warm.
Victor C — Google review
Their burgers are good , fries OK, costumers services pretty bad. Fuddruckers is good when you are really really hungry, but the employees don't really care much about their costumers. They have slow service and a lot of the time the employees have to make everyone wait an extra 10 mins when they get a costumer's order wrong. They also do this thing were you have to buy something from their if you want to use the bathroom. That caused problems for me when I was waiting in a long line to order food. This place isn't the worst though.
Andrew W — Google review
Somehow it has been declining. Food not as good as before. Maybe it's the bread, maybe its the patty, sometimes the veggies at the bar are not fresh, with limited selections at times. Cheese sauce not available is the biggest failure, you gotta make sure you have that all the time otherwise people who find that good like myself will be very disappointed. Also the dining area felt kinda dirty last time I visited. Need some work.
CL — Google review
Major decrease in quality. My mother and I loved eating at this place. We hadn't been for a while, and stopped by today. The customer service was nice: but the food quality was bad. The fries are now awful nothing like the delicious fries they served before.Even the beverage selection has decreased. When I asked what caused all of the changes they stated they had a new manager. Won't be returning to location again.
Eldy S — Google review
Horrible service, mediocre food. Give this place a miss! was 30 minutes before our "fast" food even _started_ to appear. And then our five-person order dribbled out one or two items at a time whenever we asked (including one kid's burger that only appeared after we had inquired about it, but not the other - which was only starting to cook several minutes later). The burgers and salad were just adequate, fries were terrible, ice tea was so watery that it was undrinkable. Both catsup dispensers were empty and never refilled. Given all of the negative reviews (which obviously we should have read before going in the dark door), the only reason that this place stays in business must be the location. Truly awful! UPDATE 9/18: All reports since our terrible experience have been negative. Fuddruckers central office never replied to my emailed feedback, not even a pro forma “thank you for your comments.” How does such a poorly managed chain stay in business?
Phil C — Google review
The place needs an update. It's very small and the food was mediocre to leave it nice. There is 1 drink dispensary and most of the fixings looked unappealing. The crew just didn't seem to tend to the lobby area at all. The cheeses was dried out,the tomatoes weren't ripe and the pick looked old like it had been there for a while.

Bete Ethiopian Cuisine & Cafe is a charming eatery that offers a delightful array of meals throughout the day, including vegan options, desserts, and coffee. While the cozy dining room may feel a bit snug, guests can take advantage of the lovely outdoor patio adorned with a majestic princess tree—perfect for enjoying hearty stews and fresh salads in pleasant weather. The service here is exceptional; patrons are greeted warmly and treated to attentive care from the friendly staff.
I had a fantastic experience at Bete Ethiopian Cuisine & Cafe! The customer service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I ordered the Tibs, and the aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. When the dish arrived, it was sizzling hot, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian food in Silver Spring!

NIce Ethiopian Restaurant. Food, service, price were fine. I tried Meat Combination Platter - everything was delicious with good portion for 2-3 people. Quite tiny dining room (but they also have outdoor seating and 2nd floor options) but nice decoration, cozy and relax atmosphere. (Homey Cafe style). Easy location and parking in Downtown Silver Spring. MD. Recommend, will never upset.

It was my first visit to this restaurant. I really had a desire for Ethiopian food, so I was determined to order something. It wasn't easy since there weren't many options that appealed to me. I don't eat beef, and I wasn't in the mood for chicken. I really wanted vegetarian, but when I asked a few questions to get more information on one of the dishes, the person taking my order didn't seem to understand much English and didn't really answer my question. I finally decided on the Meten Shiro since I love chickpeas and almost anything spicy. The ground chickpea flour was nicely seasoned, and there was a small serving of cabbage. The injera was quite large and also good, but overall, I felt the dish would have been more balanced and satisfying to me if the pancake had included a chunky vegetable or two, or even a bit more of the cabbage.
Sharon K — Google review
Group of four having our first Ethiopian dining experience on a Saturday evening. Nice spring day and got a free parking spot right out front. We took one of their outdoor deck tables (not much to see other than a giant parking garage), and the water arrived instantly to give us paper menus (sorry apparently only took a picture of one side of the two) and took drink orders. He was very friendly, explained everything to us (nothing too exciting other than no utensils and eat using the bread), and checked in often to see what we needed. Drinks and food were quickly delivered (but no pressure to finish quickly). They had some local wine and bottles of Ethiopian beer. Food was beautifully presented, is more filling than you may initially expect (we had a container full of leftovers), great spices without being too heated, and a wide variety for communal sharing. We were all pleased and had a great dinner.
Jason Z — Google review
Five stars purely because of our server (besides the great food). She was so accommodating and friendly, even made me a special oat milk latte adding some warmth to the chilly overcast weather. My life is forever changed from her recommendation to eat injera off the plate with the sauce leftover from the tibs.
Emily K — Google review
This app needs a 1/2 star. As this wasn't a 4 but it wasn't a 5. It was a solid 4.5 The sizzling beef, fajita style dish is amazing. It goes by the name of Yeshint tips. Fabulous. 5 out of 5. Awaze tips were good. They were a 4/5. There is still some left on the plate because I ran out of room in my belly. The best veggie dish are the carrots and potatoes in some sorta finger licking good orange sauce and the beets. Service sucks. Super slow. So prepare to wait. But knowing that a head of time, still come early cause the food is solid.

Tastee Diner is a classic diner that has been around since 1946, offering American favorites and a selection of beer and wine available 24/7. It's known for providing good value for money, with meals priced under $10. The staff is friendly and accommodating, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. Customers have praised the delicious breakfast options such as salmon cakes and waffles, along with the flavorful fried potatoes.
Went here for breakfast this past weekend. Very short wait and friendly staff. Your standard diner with great staff and really good food. All the stuff we got was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The biscuits and gravy was especially yummy! Our waitress was awesome and did a great job especially as she had a huge number of tables to wait. Super friendly and always around. Overall great location for a good and great priced breakfast. I highly recommend!

05Sep22. Maybe because of staffing issues; maybe because of the time of day....This really wasn't what I expected. My bacon was too hard. My wife's bacon was too soft. We didn't get water or soda refilled. My wife didn't get her pancake until, basically, after the meal was over. Service was slow. I only gave a 3 because of the history of the Diner.

My fiancé and I ate here for breakfast last Saturday morning and we enjoyed it. I haven’t been here in years, but the food is still good and the servers are great! I had a “build-your-own” omelette, hash and biscuits. My fiancé and the pancakes and 2 eggs. This is a great neighborhood diner to go for a inexpensive, yet delicious meal. They’re operating with a limited menu due to Covid, but they will have a lot of options. They are also only seating the indoor dining area up to 25%, so you can feel safe eating indoors. Definitely recommend!

Fast food restaurant
Big Greek Cafe is a relaxed dining establishment that offers a variety of delicious Greek dishes. Their menu includes hearty stuffed pitas, souvlaki platters, and other traditional Greek fare. The wait for the food was reasonable, and the prices were affordable considering the quality of the food. One customer particularly enjoyed their pork chops, which may be a special item on the menu. Although slightly overcooked, they still found them enjoyable when paired with perfectly cooked potatoes.
Food and service here is great. I had the steak n cheese pita and the salmon with rice. Salmon was cooked perfectly. They have a bunch of specials besides the Wednesday $7 gyro. Don’t forgot to use the rewards app to earn pts

**Disappointing First Impression** I stopped by this restaurant hoping to check out the menu and maybe grab a bite, but before I even had a chance to look around, I asked to use the restroom and was immediately told I couldn’t unless I purchased food first. I understand policies are in place, but the way it was handled felt dismissive and assumptive—as if they had already decided I wasn’t going to be a paying customer. I hadn’t even had a chance to sit down or place an order yet
