The USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. This park is home to the iconic USS Alabama, a WWII-era battleship that played a crucial role in the war and earned the nickname "Heroine of the Pacific." Visitors can explore this historic vessel on a self-guided tour and also check out the USS Drum, the oldest U.S. submarine on public display. The park also features an Aircraft Pavilion showcasing over 28 historic planes from various wars.
This was a great place to come and visit. It was a beautiful day. Got very warm on the decks of the Battleship, but they had places that you could get cool. Museum was very informative and had things from all service branches. The Submarine was very cool. I don't like tight and small spaces, but I was able to handle it. Gift shop was nice. Had a lot of different things for everyone. The burgers at the restaurant was delicious! Would highly recommend this place for families.
Cindy S — Google review
Amazing experience! Both the Sub and Battle Ship are worth stopping to see. The self guided tour is easy to follow and takes you on every part of the ship. The museum did a great job explaining the spaces and having enough room for multiple people to be in the same room. We went in mid September and it wasn’t too crowded. +100 points for free active military admission.
Tomas R — Google review
We stopped by this memorial and museum in hopes of killing an hour or so before a flight, and we were pleasantly surprised with how interesting everything was. When we visited, we were able to go into the decommissioned sub as well as go into the battleship. The restorations are beautiful, and you quite literally are able to see almost everything in the battleship in submarine. It was worth the price, but if you’re wanting to learn a lot of history about World War II, you may be disappointed. However, if you want to see military vehicles up close, you will not be disappointed. It was definitely a unique spot and worth a visit if you were in the area.
Stan C — Google review
This is definitely a must stop to visit!!! I'm always so touched anytime I visit military museums and this one was wonderfully set up... from the Korean War Memorial do the museum in the battleship ... you could spend hours here just learning about our military history!! It was a weekday so it wasn't that crowded and there was plenty of parking available. There's a wonderful little gift shop inside and a cafe!
L S — Google review
This was one of the most interesting trips I’ve taken my sons on. From the depths of the ocean to way above the clouds, we explored every inch and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. You will be amazed at all the different things they have to look at. We will be back.
Latara M — Google review
$15 admission plus an additional $5 to park gets you lot to see and experience via sea surface warfare, aviation and underwater warfare with tours of the USS Alabama, a WW2 battleship, the USS Drum (submarine) and various aircraft and vehicles inside and outside an air-conditioned hanger, a great place for kids (supervised) and adults alike, expect to spend 3 to 4 hours minimum to look around, time well spent with a gift shop and cafe on premises to cap your visit. Highly recommended!
AJ M — Google review
Interesting visit exploring the ship and the submarine. You can explore so many parts throughout both taking stairs up and down throughout the decks. There is some air conditioning on the inside making it more comfortable on hot days. I’d suggest going during the fall or spring. Also several planes were on display in the hangar. Even avoiding much of the interiors (not a fan of tight spaces) there was plenty in the open air to see. The staff was super inviting! Be prepared to spend $100 for a family of 4 for tickets and a few extras.
Sheri C — Google review
The ship was a sight to see and walk. I'd never experienced anything like it before in my life. I got an appreciation for how life could have been on such a vessel. I'd recommend this to anyone. Only wish we had been able to see the bridge up close and personal, but sadly this was not open to the public. Bring your walking and climbing legs.

Felix's Fish Camp Restaurant is a rustic hideaway located on Mobile Bay Causeway, offering a unique dining experience since its opening in 2002. Despite being slightly old-fashioned now, it remains a popular choice for those seeking delicious seafood, stunning views, and excellent service.
We stopped at Felix’s Fish Camp over the July 4th weekend during our RV adventure, and it was an excellent choice. First off — plenty of space to park our RV and tow car, which made everything easy from the start. The food and service were both top-notch. The oysters were impressively large and full of flavor, definitely a standout. Everything we ordered was fresh and well-prepared, and the staff made us feel right at home. An added bonus was the beautiful view of the battleship across the water — a memorable touch for the holiday weekend. We’ll definitely be stopping here again the next time we pass through the area. Highly recommend!

Coming from out of town I as looking to find something authentic, fresh and full of flavors. The second I seen the building I knew this is what I was looking for. Fell in love with the decor and the food was amazing. Every single plate we ordered was done to a perfection. From the portions served to the flavors. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACED.

Great meal at Felix’s Fish Shack this evening I had Fried snapper, jalapeño hush puppies, fried green tomatoes and turnip greens and an old fashioned and then ordered a side salad to go with my leftover fish for lunch tomorrow So delicious The server Caleb was very attentive- but not Too much so…and even brought me some honey for my hush puppies (apparently unheard of in these parts). The drink was well mixed and better than the one I had in Kentucky recently. The view is beautiful- I suggest you go early if you don’t have reservations and want to see the view
Robin H — Google review
Absolutely awesome! I stopped by on the way from LA to FL and it blew my expectations out of the water. If you are in the area and are thinking of eating seafood, I fully recommend. Harley was our server and he was awesome as well.

Step back into a time when food was an experience and service was pleasurable. This place has a great laid back ambience with non stop charm. The staff was amazing, the food was delicious and the price tag was very reasonable. I'd suggest a reservation to get a great view, but not necessarily needed. I'll brag on the crab soup as it was one of the best that I've eaten. Extremely rich in both flavor and crab. Whatever you order, expect the best. Enjoy.
Wallace F — Google review
Don't judge a book by its cover, mom always said. That is sound advice for Felix's. While it may not be much to look at, once you are inside, you are in for a great time. From our initial greeting by our host to the seating and introduction to our server, I knew this was an establishment that trains its staff in service. At no time were there any water glasses empty, yet we never felt interrupted. No small feat, to be sure. When it came time to order, no question was left unanswered as the server knew her menu inside and out. We had appetizers and entrees. There were four of us and four servers laid each dish on the table at the same time... from the left. You just don't expect this kind of service from a tourist, off the highway restaurant. The apps and entrees were delicious, and the local beers complimented each. Get there early and find a table with a view. If I ever return to Mobile, Felix's is what's for lunch.

Great restaurant around the board, food was excellent. Golden shrimp ✅, shrimp and grits ✅, rice & beans + cornbread and crab soup ✅. Service was good, drinks were always full, thank you Chynna! Restaurant views were incredible and it was not too crowded when we went for lunch.

Loved it! Loved the character, views were beautiful. Service was great (Patrick was a great server- always refilling our drinks before asked, great suggestions on food and just interesting to talk to about the area), and the food was delicious! Loved the 1-1-1 (soup flight). House Salad was unique and good.

Nestled in a charming, wood-paneled space, R and R Seafood is a delightful eatery and market that celebrates the flavors of the ocean. This inviting spot features an impressive menu filled with fresh seafood dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Their signature gumbo packs just the right amount of spice, while other favorites like fried popcorn shrimp and perfectly steamed crawfish showcase their commitment to quality Southern-style cooking.
We ordered the red snapper with beans and hushpuppies, the crab claws, and the blackened shrimp with green beans and hush puppies. All were fantastic and reasonably priced. The bushwacker was also amazing! They are open on Sundays and we just walked in no wait which was really convenient.

It sort of fits the bill of what you’re asking for if you’re looking at a place like this. Everything is over fried to within an inch of its life but is it good? Yeah it tasted great. Portions are solid for the prices, staff are welcoming and friendly. There’s plenty of seating and parking. No dishes stood out as better than a 7.5, it was all well-cooked, just not great.

Absolutely enjoyed our meal here. Wait was long, but definitely worth it. We had great service from Pam!! We are local and will definitely be back. Crawfish was excellent as were the fried crab claws! The oysters Rockefeller were a hit. Pictured are the Cajun oysters, which were good but the Rockefeller was definitely our favorite!

This was our second time going to this restaurant heading back from a vacation in Florida. The first time being about a year ago becuase we live In Mississippi. My husband and I split the $40 seafood platter which was a great amount for us and my daughter had the crawfish that was $6.99 a pound my youngest had the French fries for $3 she’s my picky one! I also enjoyed 2 glasses of wine which was a great pour at $8 a piece. We ended dinner with the Chocolate Lava Cake for $5.99. My daughter loved it because it was just like Chilis! Our server Dominice was the best service we had all vacation. Ending it on such a positive note! He brought my youngest daughter’s French fries out super fast knowing she was hungry! He always made sure my family had refills and even noticed our paper towels were getting low without us even mentioning it bringing us a new one and had a smile on his face the whole time!

First meal, after getting to Meaher State Park, and it was great. Gator bites, shrimp-n-grits, and snow crab legs - OMG! The service was fantastic and, although there were several people present, it wasn't noisy at all. It was a very relaxing and delicious meal. We will be back before we leave.

Spanish Fort Bass Pro is a great place with a great atmosphere and employees. Enjoyed it a lot. Very well stocked, clean and orderly. Will go back. Been in several other Bass Pro shops, Spanish Fort is my new favorite

First time at this location, very nice, better than most. Good average all experience. Layout was easy to navigate, great service from the guys at the fishing reel desk were very helpful. One big difference at this location was the state sales tax, 11%, way more than my home state of FL. Overall nice store, great place.

First time in Bass Pro 😀 it's was definitely an interesting shopping experience. Lots of interesting things. You can walk on the pontoon boats and they have a .50 cent target shooting game. As well as a glass elevator. Awesome visit. Sales tactics are a little pushy as mentioned in other reviews, but all in all, it was an amazing experience. When you sign up and apply for a Bass Pro card, you get a free Hat and I noticed when you come to pay said card bill, you get a complimentary bottle of water with a Bass Pro label 😊

What a phenomenal experience. For starters the store is so impressive with all the decorations, fish and the size and inventory is second to nobody. Bought two guns here today, after buying one from another store (ac**emy) yesterday. This experience was superior in every manner. Robbie and Dave at the gun counter were excellent, both deserving of raises and/or awards. They were patient with everyone, knowledgeable and very friendly and personable. Bass Pro also provides 10% everything except guns and ammo which is 5% off for all veterans, military and first responders including police, firefighters and EMS. Prices were very good. So impressed will return here in the future.

Spent 40K for a new pontoon. It’s 1 month old, been in the water one time & now the battery will not stay charged. Battery is fine but something is draining battery, they’ve had the boat over a week & still no idea what’s wrong! REALLY NOT HAPPY WITH ANSWERS WERE GETTING!!

Mandina’s Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious Italian cuisine and traditional gumbo. The portions are generous, making it worth the price. The restaurant's ambiance is modern with stained concrete floors and private booths, creating a comfortable setting for a meal. The attentive staff ensures that guests feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout their visit. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a date night spot, Mandina’s Restaurant provides great food and service in a pleasant atmosphere.
Family friendly dining experience worth the visit. I was fortunate to find this gem while driving through to GA. The nice people at the nearby Marriott Courtyard made the recommendation. Great chicken marsala that the chef infused with a hint of Creole cooking and perhaps a dash of sherry. Enjoy!
Jack P — Google review
Note: This not for Mandina's out of New Orleans but for Rosemary's. Ordered spaghetti with meatballs. Worst plate of spaghetti I ever had. Half was watery. Seemed old spaghetti as I couldn't even twirl it on my fork. Kept breaking. Meatballs were the worst thing I've eaten. Being italian from NY it was the nastiest stuff. Salad with italian dressing...wow, throat was burning. Meatballs had the same flavor. Oh, and suppose to come with garlic bread. No, was not served. Hubby had a hamburger with bacon. Nope, no bacon. Hoped they take a bit off the cost. Nope. SMH. Also, did not know it was no longer Mandina's. Inquired about it and new owner. Only went there because we wanted to try Mandina's. Will not go back. Bad Valentine's dinner ever.
Betty M — Google review
Food is good they give very good portions. Service was a little slow And on this night for some reason they burned garlic bread on two occasion so it had that burnt smell throughout the restaurant.
Robert S — Google review
First of all Alden was our server and she was fantastic! We almost didn’t go inside when we pulled up in fear of the “mall appearance”. However the reviews were great so we gave it a shot. The fried eggplant was very good and the marinara sauce is phenomenal. The meatball dish is beyond expectations! The grilled shrimp bordelaise was excellent. The garlic bread is a great twist on my previous experiences, I will definitely miss the bread!
P H — Google review
Quite possibly the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Very high flavor and very low oil build up. Gumbo was very traditional, portions were hearty. Banana pudding is definitely to share. It’s huge, delicious, and filling. $20-30/person. Worth it. Atmosphere is a step up from industrial for a shopping center. Stained concrete floors and black painted exposed duct work. Private booths on the perimeter with tables in the middle. Outdoor seating available.
Michael P — Google review
We are from out of town and we almost didn’t go here because the sign looks like it’s Mexican food. We were actually going to the burger joint, but their reviews weren’t too good so I looked up Medinas. Pleasantly surprised! Hubby is a hard food critic and he enjoyed it all. We had eggplant parm, meatballs, and cheesecake. I’m not a big fan of garlic bread, but I devoured it! Ava was a great server as well. It was a Friday night, and they were pretty busy. She had a great personality and apologized for the little slower service - which was a nice touch. It was pretty packed.
Jessica D — Google review
This was our first time coming to Mandina's. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was excellent. This place has a lot of potential but the food and flavoring need to be addressed. My wife had the special, Shrimp Pasta Mandina. It was well presented but was absolutely devoid of flavor and very bland. I had the ribeye with mushroom and garlic sauce. It looked amazing and once cutting apart, it was cooked perfectly medium rare which I asked for. That first bite was nothing but disappointment, by far the most bland steak I had ever had. Just cooking with simple salt and pepper would help. The Calimari was also bland, with zero flavor in the crust. They almost have it right, they just need some southern seasoning to enhance the flavor of their food.
Glen P — Google review
Food is excellent! I’ve been here twice. Once during a weeknight and once on a weekend. The service here is ok. Both times we went we were seated right away. First time the salads came after our food. The waitress never came to refill our drinks. Second time was worse. The waitress never brought silverware and took forever to bring the drinks. Never picked up the menus after we ordered. She was too busy waiting on another table that she just looked past us many times. We had stop different people just to get any kind of service. The host (a young teenage man) was blowing his nose right at the host stand. It was a very off night. The food is delicious though and Great proportions.

If you're looking for a seafood restaurant with good food and friendly service, Ralph and Kacoos is the place to go. The menu has a variety of options, and the staff is always willing to help out. It's also very affordable, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a delicious meal on a budget.
6 stars for service—our waiter was one of the best I’ve had in a LONG time. Very attentive and helpful. Everything we had was superb. Great place to stop to eat if you’re driving through on I-10 like we were. If you’re there for lunch, be sure to ask for the lunch menu. Great deals on it.

This place was not our first choice (the other was closed) but wow! what a place! Tiffany did a spectacular job greeting customers and thanking them as they left. And Miles (the only one with a bald head [his words not mine😂]) did a fantastic job hosting. I had the blackened shrimp, fried pickles, bread pudding, and a Marguerite that I drank to the last drop. I ate everything!!!! Forget the other place and go there!!! Give a 5 star like and then drop a like on this review if you don't mind. Thank you😁
James N — Google review
This was my first time at Ralph and Kacoo's and it was a great first impression. The staff was sincere and friendly, which is not so common anymore. Our waitress was very helpful. I couldn't make up my mind, but her suggestions did not steer me wrong. I had the Chicken K-Jun Bleu. I had never had anything quite like this before. When I think of Cajun I don't think of things smothered in cheese, but it works so well. The red beans & rice here makes an excellent side item. The atmosphere was nice, with great a view and the aesthetic was classic but comfortable. You can come here as you are. I would not feel out of place here if I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, nor would I feel uncomfortable in a suit. The complementary hush puppies and tartar sauce were great and the appetizers were on par with the rest of my experience. I will definitely come back sometime when I'm in Mobile.

Stopped for lunch with the family after 6 hours of driving with 4 to go as we pass this place everytime we travel to and from Florida. Can say that it was a hit and phenomenal stop that we will start making everytime we pass through Mobile. For apps we had Fried Pickles, Alligator Bites, Gumbo, and Fried Green Tomatoes. Hush Puppies were complimentary and fried to perfection and delicious. Entrees were Shrimp & Grits, Louie Crab Salad, Seafood Platter, Fried Shrimp, and Kid's Quesadilla. And to finish it off we had a few orders of their spectacular Key Lime Pie and fresh Bread Pudding. The sauces and salad dressings were made fresh on-site and delicious accompaniments to all. Hostess and Wait staff were super courteous and friendly. As we wrap up a week of vacation on our journey home, this may have been our best restaurant stop all week and that include some real high end choices to include the Ritz Carlton. Generous portions and Kelsey our server was amazing. Will make this a regular stop everytime we pass through!
