Costa Paradiso in 1 day

If you only have 1 day to spend in Costa Paradiso, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Costa Paradiso is a rugged stretch of Sardinia’s northern coast known for its striking red granite cliffs, crystal-clear turquoise water, and hidden coves. A main draw is Li Cossi beach, reached by a scenic coastal path and often noted for its photogenic setting. The area is popular for snorkeling, diving, and boating thanks to its rocky seabed and transparent sea. It’s primarily a holiday village area with self-catering accommodation, offering a quieter base compared with larger resort towns nearby.
With favorites like Spiaggia Li Baietti, CalaTinnari, and Maya_Restaurant_Pizzeria, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Maya_Restaurant_Pizzeria so you can get the best taste of Costa Paradiso while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Beach
Spiaggia di Cala li Cossi is a hidden gem located on the North coast of Sardinia, specifically in the Costa Paradiso area near Trinita d'Agultu and Vignola. The beach is named after the Rio Li Cossi, which forms a small pond behind it.
Stunning hidden cove with a scenic 15‑minute walk Spiaggia di Cala li Cossi lives up to its reputation as one of northern Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches. Tucked between pink granite cliffs and fed by a small river, the turquoise-green water and golden sand create a breathtaking setting . You’ll walk ~700 m (~10–15 minutes) from the parking area via a wooden-railed path with occasional stairs and dramatic coastal views. Once you arrive, the peaceful cove feels like a secret paradise. Ideal for snorkeling thanks to a sandy seabed that transitions into rocky terrain teeming with fish . What to expect: • Very limited facilities—just a small beach bar and rentals for umbrellas or kayaks; consider bringing your own shade and snacks to save money . • No bathroom access on the beach, so plan accordingly. • Spot gets crowded around midday; early morning or late afternoon visits are best for a quieter experience and better photo light.

Totally packed but still amazing. 50 euro for 3 sun beds. A nice 25min hike further along will take you to a great secluded swimming spot. Crystal clear water.

The walk to the beach already has amazing views. The path is very well maintained and secured. We did it with sandals, many wear flip flops. The beach itself is beautiful. There is a small, friendly kiosk with cold drinks and snacks. We parked a bit further away, just 5 min extra walking, instead of the direct parking - but ours was free.

A lovely beach with one of the best trekking paths in the area. Can’t miss! A nice and not overpriced bar at spot. Very good and polite service 🥂
Maciej T — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. You won’t be alone especially during high seasons but the water is beautiful. Be sure to bring googles with you we saw many fish. The way to the beach is manageable even in heat and there are plenty of parking lots down the street where the boats are.

Second favorite beach in the whole island for me. You can jump from the rocks 😍 and have some nice snorkel experience. Fair prices in the beach bar. Just bear in mind you need to do a 10-15 minute hike to get there.
Unai C — Google review
Stunning beach. Really worth the visit. It was better experience than La Pelosa.
Erikas T — Google review
Clean water beautiful beach, many fish, crowded, it takes long walk to go. Not good parking for all the visitors so you have to park very far and walk even more like 20 30 minutes more. The beach bar is great.

Spiaggia Li Baietti is a small and stunning cove that can be accessed by two staircases. It's a favorite among snorkeling enthusiasts, but caution is advised due to the slippery rocky bottom. The area offers a magical experience, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and swimming. Visitors can enjoy the impressive cliffs, clear waters, and abundant marine life. This coastal gem is perfect for a day trip or as a pit stop while exploring the surrounding areas.
Amazing rocky coast, must see when exploring northern part of the island. Watch out for wandering wild bores but the sight itself is worth stopping by and admiring the incredible landscape. Jaw-dropping spot.
Wojciech — Google review
Gorgeous little cove, really quiet when we visited early June. Great for gentle snorkelling with the kids and lots of interesting fish. Definitely wear beach shoes as the rocks are sharp (theres no beach or sand so be prepared for that) and there are urchins. We stayed all afternoon and enjoyed the peace, calm water and beautiful views. There is a free car park at the top of the steps so no long walk. Highly recommend.
Jo N — Google review
Great beach, cought it on a very windy day but still amazing!
Ancuta B — Google review
If you want private beach, with almost no people, this is your place. The nature, the rocks…it’s mandatory to see it.
Dimitar Z — Google review
The place is magical. Rent a convertible, put on nice Italian music and drive across the island to your personal paradise. The only down side to it is when it's time to go back to reality.

Paradise in fact , respectful and responsible architectural work, welcome to palms springs by the sea

Beautiful beach, not very crowded. You need to walk about 2 km to get there from where you park the car, but the path is pretty easy. A must visit!
Leonardo F — Google review
It took us 40 minutes road without stops. With the heat it was really hard , especially the way back . But the beach was almost empty all day
Lilia B — Google review
Maps shows that you can drive to the beach but it is not possible. You have to walk the last 2 km by foot. I guess you start at 500 meters above sea level. The road is rocky so you better not do it on flip flops :). But it is really worth it. The beach is wild and deserted. It is a stone beach, not sand. It takes around 45 minutes to get there.
Hans T — Google review
It takes u around one hour to get there on foot. And if you're not lucky enough the waves could be too high to swim. Apart from this the beach is lovely and secluded

(Translated by Google) Getting there is tough, it takes 45 minutes, and it's only accessible on foot! Parking is available along the dirt road! One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, but not recommended for those afraid of heights. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water and food because you're surrounded by nature.

(Translated by Google) We took a taxi boat from the Costa Paradiso marina for 15 euros return. The cove is made of pebbles. It's a quiet spot, even in mid-August. Swimming among rocks that form pools; rocks emerging from the sea make for spectacular swimming. I've also attached the skipper's number.

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque Costa Paradiso area of Sardinia, Maya Restaurant Pizzeria is a delightful culinary gem that should not be missed. With its friendly and accommodating staff who speak English, it’s an inviting spot for both locals and travelers alike. Diners rave about the well-prepared dishes, from seafood samplers to hearty pizzas topped with mozzarella, salsiccia, gorgonzola, and spinach. The generous portions ensure you leave satisfied!
I'm generally quite shocked by the negative reviews as our family had such a wonderful time here and I feel like the restaurant deserves a lot more love. The food is beautifully prepared and the portions are MASSIVE. The wine was delicious and the views were great. The staff were attentive and very patient with how slow we were at deciding what to eat. We had a great time here and a nice spot for sunset.

Amazing food! We ordered a few starters including sea food and main dish (Sardinian pasta). I highly recommend this place. It’s not the cheapest choice but for that you get a good quality food.
Sally W — Google review
We stopped in for lunch after a day at the beach and had one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I live in Naples and have travelled all over Italy, and this restaurant stands out as one of the best. The flavors were incredible and the presentation was beautiful. Very reasonably priced for the quality. The view was breathtaking! I will be returning!

If you are staying in the Costa Paradiso area of Sardinia, then give this little restaurant a visit. The staff are friendly and helpful. They also speak English for those who have not mastered the Italian language. We had a seafood sampler as a starter, a shrimp and asparagus soup, a pizza with mozzarella, salsiccia, gorgonzola and spinach and for dessert a lemon sorbet and a crumbled brownie with white chocolate/caramel. The food was well prepared and seasoned. Not over or under seasoned, just right. During dining you have a wonderful view across the bay. Definitely recommended.

Great restaurant right on the coast, wonderfully located, perfect for sunset. The food is good to very good quality and it is one of the best houses in the place. The dish of the day "Tagliata di manzo" was excellent and was finalized at the table by the chef.

Expensive but for no reason. Location is mid, service extremely bad. For 200 euro + I’ve had antipasti delivered at the same time with the second course, with some of the items lagging further behind. Food was infuriating. Reductions and deconstructions of nothing and from nothing.
Bonnie R — Google review
Nice location but the food was very bad. Starter was small and pricey and my pasta dish, tagliatelle with crab sauce was horrible. It was very salty. Probably the worse pasta dish I have ever had in Italy.
Marzena M — Google review
Disappointing! Would not recommend this restaurant at all. We ordered a pizza, they came to tell us they didnt have a pizza today and offered spaghetti, but served us ravioli after. Very small portion but the taste was good though. Ended up paying double price than the pizza and left unsatisfied. Staff was friendly, but forgot to tell us they also didnt have spaghetti that they offered. Expensive for what we got. Would not come back here again!
