Inside the temple you can see the three headed Nandi, emblem of Vijayanagara empire, family tree of Vijayanagara rulers, old paintings on the roof of the Rangamantapa. It was not much crowded in September and pleasant weather with drizzling added more beauty to it. The temple’s panoramic view can be seen by climbing nearby Hemakuta hills. This is the location quite popular for its Sunset view point in Hampi. Must visit place and I would definitely recommend to be here. Just an advice, try to be there before 5 PM so that you can enjoy the view along with beautiful sunset. The Ganesha temple is also quite beautiful to have a look.

LAKSHMI NARASIMHA TEMPLE (NARASIMHA STATUE) The huge monolithic sculpture of Lakshmi Narasimha is one of the most outstanding works of sculptural art of Vijayanagara. This statue stands to a height of 6.70 m. It was consecrated by priest Krishna Bhatta at the behest of Krishnadevaraya in 1528 CE as per lithic record. Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is found seated in yogic posture with yogapatta on the giant coils of Adishesha, the sacred guardian snake of Vishnu. The figure of Narasimha is set within an architectural frame consisting of seated lions at the base, half pilasters with creeper motif, double-curved capitals and makaras on the sides, and a foliated frame topped with a kirtimukha rising over the seven-hooded naga on top. The four arms of the statue with their various attributes have been broken. The seated figure of his consort Lakshmi on his left lap is missing. The face too has been damaged which misled people into believing that it was the Ugra Narasimha (ferocious Narasimha). But the presence of the right hand of the goddess embracing the lord at the back is proof of it being that of Lakshmi Narasimha.

One thousand depictions of Rama- literal meaning of the name Hazara Rama. All around the temple walls, you may find episodes of various scenes from Ramayana, intricately and beautifully carved. Some pillars and wall are so finely carved that leaves you wondering how they did it a thousand years ago! We met a foreigner who studied Ramayana before visiting here to fully understand the context and the depicted scenes. Parking is shared by Mahanavami Dibba or alternatively you may park at Lotus Mahal parking and a short walk from either side. Almost nonpublic amenities except near Lotos Mahal you may find some vendors selling water, coconut and soda with some snacks.

This temple is located some 4 Kms from Vrupaksha Temple in Hampi. The place houses several historical structures. This temple built during the peak days of Vijayanagar empire is reported to be the private temple of the kings and lords. At present there are no idols in the temple and no worship is being offered and the structure, like the other historical monuments in the place , is maintained by ASI. The whole area is a must see for the lovers of archeology and ancient architecture.

Nice place to visit if you are visiting hampi. Though you will need some time to cover this fully. If you are planning to visit this place just to see the dam from a view point then please don't. Especially during weekends the buses are almost full and the frequency is also low, it's not worth it. You can have a good view of the dam from the outside roads itself. Have added photos taken from the road/bridge. Visit this place if you want to enjoy other activities like boat riding, aquarium, mini zoo etc

At the entrance, there’s also a small amusement park with rides for kids, which makes it enjoyable for families. An entry ticket is required to visit the dam area, and food stalls are available near the entrance serving snacks and refreshments. Bus transportation from entrance to the dam view point is also easily available at a reasonable price (₹30–₹50), making it a budget-friendly outing. The surroundings are clean, and there’s a nice garden area to sit and enjoy the view.

Entry ticket of 10 rs per adult 2. For view point in top, bus services are there chargeable as 30 rs per head. 3. On the way back from view point, get done in the dam garden for a nearer view of water 4. U can go by walk from the dam garden towards the bigger garden via a walk over bridge which looks good as water comes out from power house via this 5. A very bigger garden with music light show two times in the evening. 6. Small amusement park for kids where it is chargeable on per ride basis 7. Boating is chargeable on 2 per 200, 3 per 300 and 4 per 400 for 20 mins. Pedal boating 8. Eateries are there but we avoided them as good food is available in many restaurants near hospet bus stand

Visited on a weekend morning during the monsoon season, and the place was truly amazing. We reached it from Hospet Bus Stand by a shared auto, which cost ₹20 per person. 1. Entry ticket: ₹10 per adult. 2. To reach the viewpoint at the top, there’s a bus service available for ₹30 per person. 3. On the way back from the viewpoint, stop by the dam garden for a closer view of the water. 4. You can walk from the dam garden to the larger garden using the walkover bridge, which looks beautiful as water flows out from the powerhouse beneath it. 5. The main garden is quite spacious and features a musical fountain show held twice in the evening. 6. There’s also a small amusement park for kids, with rides charged individually. 7. Pedal boating is available for 20 minutes — ₹200 for two people, ₹300 for three, and ₹400 for four. 8. Though eateries are available inside, we skipped them as better food options are easily found near Hospet Bus Stand.

If you have 1 to 2 hours to spare, I highly recommend visiting this place. For only 10 rupees, you can experience the beautiful greenery and enjoy the stunning views of the Tungabhadra River. It's a great opportunity to relax and appreciate nature!

Gardens are well maintained. It's the public made it look dirty, management should impose penalty on those littering the vicinity. Parking is charged high, but i the ticket doesn't have any info on the contractor, his GST no, validity, etc,. Ofcourse parking charges are off-record and unaccounted here.

Well maintained and a great place for kids to enjoy. The light show was good and it is about 15 mins daily twice in the evening 7:30 and 8 PM. It’s a huge park. If you like walking around you can spend couple of hours or you can take a mini bus for ₹30 ticket. There is a small aquarium with good number of fishes but you have to pay. The dam is huge and a wonderful site to our eyes. There is a watch tower at the top of the hill, you can go hiking or take the mini bus. It’s a worth visiting for half a day visit. Visit 2nd half so that you can watch the musical fountain as well.

Amazing Experience at T.B. Zoo and Park! I had a wonderful time visiting T.B. Zoo and Park. The place is well-maintained and offers a perfect balance of natural beauty and wildlife. The animals are kept in clean and spacious enclosures, and it’s evident that they are well cared for. The park area is lush and green, making it a peaceful spot for a family outing or a picnic. There are plenty of benches, pathways, and shaded areas to relax. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist visitors. A must-visit destination for nature and animal lovers! Highly recommended for families and children.

It is a very big dam built on Tungabhadra river. There are buses takes you at the top where there is view point of dam. Rs. 30 are the charges for to and fro trip of bus. One can see very good view of dam from top. From the top bus drops you at garden where there is small amusement Park and fountain show.

Awesome scenery at TB Dam. Large catchment area, full of water with blue in colour. Many spots are here to visit with family, friends and children. The park is maintained with clean and light effects during evening time is amazing.

Planned on the theme of KRS dam, the TB dam brings a unique sense of tranquility and if you kid, there are so many places to run around. Decent food and ambience was great. But they serve the same rice for both mutton and chicken biryani, which is not acceptable. But overall a good place to hangout with your loved ones. They offer buy 2 get one free nowadays.

Magical place. Must visit once in a lifetime. I cried because Islamic empires spoiled many incredible temples and structures. You can see how advanced our civilization was just 500 years ago. King s at that time gave super facilities to merchants and farmers.

Old ruins, yet intact and properly structured. You could see it is around 800 meters between the Nandi and Mahadev temple. It seems this used to be a market place in ancient times. Also, do visit the place of you ever visit Hampi.

Timings: You can stop and shop at any time from morning 06:00 am to night 11:00 pm. No one is going to charge you any expense for your visit to Hampi Bazaar. However, if you are a shopaholic, do not forget to carry a reasonable sum as the place has many things to attract your tender heart.

Friendly owners serve delicious south Indian food from this brightly colored and fun restaurant. We tried a couple of the places but this restaurant was our favorite it Hampi. Yummy breakfasts and dinners.

Food is good, service is too late. We ordered bread butter toast which is ₹70, but the craziest thing is they gave 3 pieces of bread 🍞 with half spoon 🥄 which not even worth of ₹20, fine if they include labour, electricity, everything including ₹30 is worth, no common sense in fixing price. I suggest there are many other restaurants around.. please select wisely

Visited this place for a breakfast during hampi visit. They serve variety of menu. We opted for tomato and onion omelette along with bread and coffee. Taste was good. Bit higher on the price but taste was good. Seating was comfortable. They have chairs and ground seating. Good place to try out in Hampi.

Went there for dinner, ordered veg fried rice & banana Nutella pancake. The taste was good, we got our order in 15-20 minutes. But while we finished eating many people who gave order with us, were still waiting for their order. We got lucky nothing else. You can visit if there are not much customers as there are not many people to take order or serve.

4 days back I visited Hampi. This was the only restaurant which has great taste & this is affordable too… me and some of my Russian friends visited here & what they also liked food so much. I tried every restaurant be it rooftop or anything else but I didn’t get taste there. Only here I felt the authentic aroma of food & taste like home. If you ever visit this place then please try their Fried Rice, Butter Paneer Masala, Alu parotha, tea, jeera rice etc. if you don’t believe then please try out other restaurant as well, you’ll know difference. I’ll give 10/10 rating for taste, ambiance, hospitality.

A nice cafe with tasty food at Hampi. They have good seating capacity and a very diverse menu. Rates are as par with other cafes at Hampi. Service was good but a bit delayed as there were not many staff. Overall a great spot to have food and escape from the scorching heat of Hampi

We had our Sunday breakfast here. Its a good place with Hippie vibe. The food was good and they happily customized it too. We had a good time just chilling and enjoying our breakfast. You will have to walk down to the place as vehicles are not allowed. We had English breakfast with ginger lemon honey along with some pancakes.

In the last day in Hampi, I was checked out and no place to go, so Dada from Megha Guesthouse and Dada from souvenir shop advice me to sit here. I ordered Baked potato, Tropical juice smoothie, and Carbonara pasta. They are all delicious and served in big plate so I can't finish them 😅 Also, if you have no place to go, you can sit here in this restaurant as long as you want.

This cafe is located near river and has good food options. We enjoyed hummus and falafel, Sicilian pasta and banana Nutella pancakes. All food was delicious and tasty

There are two Chillout restaurants almost next door to each other Chillout Bamboo Rooftop Restaurant and Old Ganesh Chillout Restaurant. We went to both and this review is for the old Ganesh one at street level - we only went once for dinner. The food was ok, the service was a bit average to be fair, lots on the menu they didn’t have. The vibe was ok but not as comfortable, relaxing or as clean as the restaurant upstairs.

I had a wonderful experience with the food, especially the South Indian thali and the special thali. A special mention goes to the jeera rice — it was absolutely delicious. The highlight was the excellent service, particularly from the lady who served us with great patience. The ambience is simple, but considering the budget-friendly prices, it’s definitely worth it.

Had their bruschetta and egg noodles. Noodles were really good but the service was very slow.

Visited on weekday in non peak season. Charges are fixed at 500 per person and kids ride free. Since we were in a non rush hour, there were only 4 people in the ride. The ride itself is not so amazing, but the surroundings are. In monsoon, the whole canal gets flooded with 20-30 ft more water. They take you to a place in between the stones and bring you back. 1-2 temples come in the middle which you can look at from outside. No pooja there. We met a couple of monkeys as well. Best was asking for the oar and riding the boat. Real cardio happens and not everyone can get the rhythm of doing it. Also heard a seal and crocodile fight nearby, stay safe.

This beautiful scenic location is within a Km from the Vrupaksha Temple of Hampi, Karnataka. It is full of rocky hills amidst which you have the Tungabhadra River flowing very smoothly. The place holds many temples inclduding Kothandarama Temple, Surya Bhagwan Temple, Yantrodarka Hanuman Temple, Ranganatha Temple etc. The place is considered very special for Vaishhavites. There are ferries offering a ride across the river for a fee. Children would immensely enjoy the ride.

Just explore the place—words won’t do it justice! The boat ride here is expensive (₹500 per person), so it’s better to skip it. Instead, you can spend that money on boating at Tungabhadra Dam, VR games, or a massage. The place itself is great, and you can even take a bath in the Tungabhadra River.

The pristine waters of the Tungabhadra River, flowing gracefully amidst rugged rocky hills and ancient temples, create a breathtaking setting. A coracle (locally known as theppa) ride right in front of the Kodandarama Temple is an experience not to be missed. These cane-built coracles with painted exteriors can accommodate up to ten people at a time. The most thrilling moment comes when the oarsman skillfully spins the theppa, adding an exciting twist to the serene journey.

There is plenty of parking space. The surroundings are well maintained and clean. The coracle ride experience was excellent, with a friendly, talkative, and helpful guide. Each ride can accommodate around 10 to 12 people at a time.
