⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A World-Class Shopping & Entertainment Paradise in Kochi LuLu International Shopping Mall in Kochi (Edapally) is one of the best malls in India and truly gives an international experience. Well, I’ve crossed oceans, dodged Indian customs, and found the Holy Grail of shopping but apparently, the real adventure is finding parking at Lulu Mall. This colossal temple of consumerism rises out of Kochi like a mirage with air conditioning. Inside, it’s less “Mystic India” and more “Midwestern USA,” just with better samosas. Now, here’s the cultural plot twist: outside these marble gates, most folks still dress with the dignified modesty of Hindu tradition: saris, kurtas, the whole beautiful ensemble. But step inside Lulu, and suddenly you’re in a Calvin Klein ad. Every storefront screams Western fashion, Levi’s, Zara, H&M as if the British left and sent their brands to finish the job. Still, as malls go, Lulu is impressive, just not exactly adventurous. You don’t need a map or a whip, just a credit card and stamina. Three stars for scale, cleanliness, and surviving the modern world’s greatest test of courage: weekend shopping.

Lulu Mall in Kochi @ Edapally is one of the biggest mall with 3 floor. Place to roam, shop, Purchase and time pass. It is well connected with metro and the mall is almost just beneath the metro station or in other words Metro Train passes through Lulu Mall as one even need not come out of the station. One can make entry into mall just after the electronic gate exit. A special separate passage is facilitated to reach the mall from metro station. Plenty of branded shops of all items including food court on 3rd Floor. Main high light is the Hypermarket where one can get all house hold items including raw meat to Ready to eat cooked food items right from Beef Briyani / Malabar Briyani / Hyderabadi Briyani to varieties of Dry and Gravy chicken / Mutton items. Non vegetarian recipes too available. It is a boon to Foodies. Take away facility available. Parking facilities available.

LuLu Mall in Edappally is more than just a shopping center; it’s an absolute mega-destination that sets the benchmark for retail and entertainment in Kerala. Its sheer size is impressive, housing over 280 outlets spanning fashion, electronics, and lifestyle, including a massive LuLu Hypermarket that caters to every conceivable grocery need. The mall’s organization and cleanliness are world-class, maintaining an international standard despite the massive daily footfall. Connectivity is a major highlight, with the Edappally Metro Station directly linked via a skywalk, making access seamless. Parking is ample, accommodating over 3,000 vehicles, although navigating the lots during peak weekends can still be busy. The entertainment quotient is incredibly high. You'll find a 9-screen PVR multiplex, South India's largest ice skating rink, a trampoline park, a 12-lane bowling alley, and extensive gaming zones. Dining is equally diverse, featuring a 2,500-seater multi-cuisine food court alongside numerous fine-dining restaurants and cafes. While the prices in some brand stores and the sheer crowd during festivals can be overwhelming, the overall experience of having everything under one roof—from high-end brands to daily groceries—makes LuLu Mall the ultimate one-stop destination in Kochi.

Lulu Mall Kochi is truly one of the best shopping and entertainment destinations in Kerala! The mall is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering an amazing mix of international and Indian brands. The food court is massive with endless dining options — from quick bites to full meals, everything is delicious and well-organized. The cinema experience is top-notch, and the play areas make it a great place for families to spend quality time. Parking is smooth and well-managed, and the staff are always helpful and polite. Whether you want to shop, eat, or just hang out, Lulu Mall Kochi never disappoints. Overall, it’s a perfect weekend spot and a must-visit place for anyone coming to Kochi!

Best mall in Kochi. All brands and entertainment under one roof. Parking is a bit complex though. All major brands outlets are available. And PVR for cinemas. There is direct entry from edapally metro station also.
Ajith L — Google review
Lulu Mall Edappally is a great place to shop and hang out. The mall is clean, well-organized, and has a wide variety of stores and food options. However, it would be better if they removed the parking fee when shopping has taken place — it feels unfair to charge customers who already spend inside the mall. Other than that, the experience is really good

Oberon Mall

4.2
(34539)
Shopping mall
Oberon Mall, located in Kochi, Kerala, is the first full-format mall in the state. It was opened in 2009 and is owned by the Oberon Group of Companies. The five-storied mall features a multiplex theatre, an indoor entertainment zone, and one of the largest glass domes in South India. Visitors can explore a variety of branded stores offering clothing and other items as well as enjoy amenities for children and a food court.
Oberon mall wasn't my favourite mall to visit during the trip. It's one of the original, first malls that was made in the vibrant and majestic city of Kochi. It's not the largest, but it isn't the smallest either. The mall is built relatively tall, to accommodate for it's lackluster size. There is a decent selection of outlets, but it seems like they couldn't find enough shops so you can find things that shouldn't be in an a mall, like job recruitment, study abroad program, tech skills places (not appropriate for a shopping center). The clothes for sale are unfortunately relatively expensive. While the mall itself is very clean, and doesn't feel old at all due to its modern design, especially with the glass roof, it has been surpassed by newer malls. However, if you are looking towards a more laid back shopping experience, especially if you got fed up the massive crowds at Lulu International Mall, this is a good option. There is a mosque nearby too, and it's a nice place to take a stroll too. The toilets are clean, well maintained and lots of stalls are available. But no toilets in the bottom floor. There's some good deals every now and then here.

Oberon Mall is a great place for shopping, dining and relaxing. It’s not too crowded, which makes the overall experience very comfortable. The mall has a good mix of stores, food outlets and a PVR cinema. Also the location is convenient with easy parking.
Sangeeth M — Google review
Obroan Mall is one of the smaller malls in Kochi, but it’s a nice and convenient place to visit. Its compact size makes it easy to access and move around without hassle. The mall has a good mix of retail outlets along with several food counters, making it a comfortable spot for quick shopping or a casual hangout.

Overview & Background Oberon Mall opened in 2008 (with a formal inauguration in March 2009) and spans about 350,000 sq ft across five floors—including shops and some office spaces—with two basement levels for parking. A renovation was recently completed in December 2024, enhancing its look and facilities. --- What Shoppers Love Cleanliness & Ambiance Many visitors appreciate its maintained, premium feel, especially considering its age: > “One of the neatest and spaced out malls I have visited.” “Less crowded than Lulu… you can enjoy slow shopping without rush.” Family-Friendly & Convenient Entertainment: It houses a PVR multiplex, said to be Kerala’s first, offering a comfortable movie experience. Kids’ play area: Highly praised in many reviews and Reddit threads: > “Their children’s play area is so good… everything is baby-proofed with cushiony material.” “Their kids play area is the best for toddlers… I prefer the vibe of Oberon and Forum…” Shopping & Dining The mall features a modest mix of retail—reliance brands (Trends, SMART, Footprint, Digital), plus others like Peter England, Funskool, Woodlands, and a premium seafood store, Wild Fish. The food court offers both local and international bites and is noted for being clean, if somewhat limited in variety. Oberon Food Circle (part of the mall) scores around 4.5/5 on Google, particularly for its ambiance and children’s play area—for families especially. Mellow Crowd Less hectic than newer giants like Lulu Mall, it offers a more relaxed, enjoyable experience: > “A good mall… not crowded... easily accessible.” “Medium rush and good atmosphere when compared to other nearby malls.” --- Areas with Room for Improvement Parking Woes Two-wheeler parking can be cramped and is sometimes located in narrow lanes. Several reviewers mention small capacity and staff coordination issues in parking. On the plus side, parking fees are refundable if you meet a purchase or food bill threshold—generally ₹1,000 for shopping or ₹500 for dining. Limited Store Variety & Price Sensitivity Some visitors felt store offerings, especially fashion, were limited and overpriced compared to alternatives elsewhere in Kochi: > “The choices in salwar were pathetic… hugely overpriced.” A few stores remain closed or underutilized, making the mall feel less bustling. Mixed Feedback on Attractions The "scary house" or attraction zones like 12D cinema have been criticized: > “3 short clips of potato quality… hydraulic chairs were not synchronized… staff were really unfriendly.” The Funzone recharge system sometimes experiences technical delays—viewed negatively by some families. --- Summary Table Strengths Challenges Clean, well-maintained ambiance Parking limitations & coordination issues Family-friendly: kids’ zone, cinema Fewer shopping choices, some overpriced Less crowded—more relaxed vibe Mixed experiences with certain attractions Helpful parking refunds available Limited appeal compared to larger malls --- Final Thoughts Oberon Mall continues to hold a soft spot in Kochi’s mall landscape. It’s ideal for families or quiet shoppers—especially if you prefer a more relaxed outing without overwhelming crowds. The cinema and play areas are major plus points, while its recent renovation keeps the premises fresh. On the flip side, if you're seeking high-end shopping or a diverse range of brands, you might find Lulu Mall more rewarding. Do note the parking hassles and that some entertainment zones have mixed reviews.

I liked it very much. The crowd is less, we could have a peaceful eve with family. I went with my child to kids play area, we enjoyed it together. The food is not too costly, many options, tasty and healthy. We did a purchase from trends , my child ran all over the showroom. It was a pleasant experience as the crowd was less

I had a great experience at the food court in Oberon Mall. The food was tasty, well-prepared, and served fresh. There are lots of varieties to choose from and the place is clean and comfortable. Had a great time with my friends.

A good mall with all the necessary shops and a small food court. Can't compare with LuLu mall, but this was one of the largest malls in Kochi before LuLu. Less crowded than LuLu and you can enjoy slow shopping without rush and hurry. Recommended if you enjoy peaceful shopping experience ☺️

Vasco da Gama Square, located at Fort Kochi, is a narrow promenade along the beach that offers a glimpse into the city's captivating past. Named after the renowned Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, this spot is home to the iconic Chinese fishing nets on teak and bamboo poles. These nets were brought by traders from Kublai Khan's court and are still used by local fishermen today. The square provides an ideal vantage point to watch them in action.
1. 🌅 Viewpoint: Vasco da Gama Square offers the best, unobstructed view of the long row of Chinese Fishing Nets along the Fort Kochi shoreline. 2.🦞 Seafood Stalls: Enjoy the “You Buy, We Cook” experience — buy fresh catch from fishermen and get it cooked with Kerala spices on the spot. 3. 🎡 Vibe: Always lively with tourists, locals, street vendors, and fishermen — a perfect blend of culture and daily life. 4. 🕒 Timings: Open 24 hours; best time to visit is at sunset for the golden-hour view of the nets. 5. 🏖️ Nearby Attractions: Close to Fort Kochi Beach, St. Francis Church, and colonial-era buildings.

This is a place of entry before getting into a Chinese fishing net. Since we visited a bit early in the morning and during weekends , the place was getting cleaned by the house keep staff, so we couldn't click pictures. Shops are available but were not open during our visit. The fisherman will do a lot of fishing on the sea shore. The mechanism is quite simple yet thoughtful. A few places give a demonstration about how it's done. Unique and good experience. Lots of variety of fishes are available. You can also purchase along the side

Lovely beachside walkway in Fort Kochi to enjoy your morning and evening walks. Stroll leisurely amidst the market and sound of waves to enchanting views of the ocean and the ships that overlook them. One major concern is that all the road side stalls but me on the road and not on the side of the beach. It obstructs not only the view but also the sanity of the coast line gets polluted. The government must move all vendors to the road from the coast. There is ample space available.

• Location: Near Fort Kochi Beach, in front of the Chinese fishing nets. • Named After: Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, who landed near here in 1498. • Type: Open public square and walkway along the Arabian Sea. • Scenic Views: Beautiful sunsets, sea breeze, and a view of the iconic Chinese fishing nets. • Street Food & Local Vendors: Try local snacks like fried fish, ice golas (ice candies), and coconut water. • Relaxed Atmosphere: Benches, shady trees, and a relaxed vibe — great for unwinding. • Cultural Touch: Street performances, local art displays, and sometimes music festivals. • Walkable Distance: Close to Fort Kochi attractions like: • St. Francis Church • Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica • Dutch Cemetery • Fort Kochi Beach

There is not much to see here, but if you want to just sit and relax by the sea, you can visit this place. Probably would be better during the sunset. There are some fishing nets here, so expect the smell of fish.

Kerala restaurant
Paragon, located in Lulu Mall, Kochi, is a renowned restaurant with over 70 years of history. Specializing in traditional Malabar cuisine, it offers a delightful array of seafood dishes such as masala fried fish. The restaurant's rich heritage and exceptional service make it an ideal choice for special celebrations or casual gatherings with loved ones.
Paragon Restaurant is a must-visit destination for food lovers, especially those craving authentic Kerala cuisine. The moment you step in, the warm ambience and welcoming service set the tone for a delightful dining experience. One of the standout dishes here is undoubtedly the biriyani — it's rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection with fragrant rice and tender meat. Whether you opt for chicken, mutton, or the seafood variant, each bite bursts with the traditional Malabar essence that Paragon is known for. The balance of spices and the quality of ingredients speak volumes about the restaurant’s commitment to authenticity and taste. It’s not just the biriyani — the supporting dishes like the fish curry, beef fry, and fresh parottas are equally impressive. Their meals are served hot and fresh, with generous portions that offer real value for money. Paragon also maintains high standards of hygiene and service, making the overall experience both safe and satisfying. Whether you are dining in with family or grabbing a quick lunch with friends, the consistency in food quality remains top-notch. In short, Paragon lives up to its legendary status — especially for biriyani lovers. It’s no surprise that it’s always bustling with foodies who keep coming back for more.

The food was good, but honestly not as amazing as the hype suggests. The biryani was decent, flavourful but a bit on the okayish side for my taste. The ambience was nice and comfortable, and the service was quite good, staff were attentive and polite. Overall, it’s a decent experience but not something I’d rave about.
Vijisha V — Google review
I've had the pleasure of dining at their Dubai branch, and I can confidently say that this location still keeps their standard of quality and taste. Heed this advice: go on a weekday! Going on the weekend will be a battle as this place attracts massive crowds. I recall trying to go during Onam week and seeing a line of 30+ people ahead of us, so definitely avoid holidays. Thankfully, on our weekday visit, the staff were incredibly efficient and we were seated quickly. We ordered two dishes that are now high on my recommendation list: the Chicken Biryani and the Koonthal Thenga Kothu. The Chicken Biryani is justifiably world-famous. It was top-notch as always, perfectly spiced, and every bite was satisfying. It came with a tasty pickle on the side that complemented the richness of the biryani beautifully. The portion size was perfect—generous but not overwhelming. However, the real star of the show was the Koonthal Thenga Kothu. This starter was delicious, a perfect blend of flavors and textures that I highly recommend you try. If you are craving authentic, delicious Kerala cuisine, this is the place to go—just remember to plan your visit wisely!

Always like Paragon food. Best Malabar food try to get whenever we visit India. We living last 20 years in San Francisco, USA. Tried the dinner on Saturday on our way to airport with our cousin who born and brought up Germany with his German wife Nimmet , she is visiting Kerala first time and Nimmet request me to put 5-star review. Food was so tasty and authentic Kerala. we all enjoyed the food. Also, awesome service. I have visited their Bengaluru and Kozhikode restaurant in the past. Thank you, Deepak & Ansu who make our visit memorable with delicious food /extra ordinary customer service.

This was my first time trying food from Paragon at Lulu Mall. I’ve been to their Kozhikode branch many times and always loved the experience, so I was really looking forward to this meal. Today, I ordered Fish Mango Curry, Chemmeen Porichathu, Appam, and Porotta. Unfortunately, the only dishes we truly enjoyed were the porotta and appam — both were soft, fresh, and well-made. The Chemmeen Porichathu was quite disappointing; it lacked flavor and tasted like plain prawns with shells, without the usual rich and spicy taste Paragon is known for. The Fish Mango Curry had very fresh fish, which I appreciate, but the gravy was underwhelming — just a bland yellow curry without the tangy mango and spice notes that usually make this dish special. We were really craving something flavorful after 20 days of travel abroad, and chose Paragon expecting a comforting, delicious meal — but sadly, it didn’t meet our expectations this time. That said, I must mention the staff were excellent — attentive, energetic, and welcoming, which made the experience a bit better despite the disappointing food.

We had lunch from Paragon. As is tradition with any establishment that perfects its craft, securing a seat requires a little patience. The bustling energy and the tantalizing aroma wafting from the kitchen make the 30-45 minute wait feel less like a delay and more like a happy anticipation of the feast to come. It’s a true testament to the quality that people are willing to stand in line, and honestly, the moment you are seated, every minute proves entirely worth it. The Star of the Show: The Chicken Biryani We came for the classic, and Paragon delivered a masterpiece: the Chicken Biryani. The moment the platter arrived, the sensory journey began. The biryani wasn't just served; it was presented—a generous, golden dome of rice and tender chicken. The fragrance alone and perfectly balanced Malabar spices, made my stomach rumble with delight. The portion size was more than satisfactory; it was hearty, ensuring every diner leaves completely content. The Rice: Each grain of rice was a standalone masterpiece, beautifully well-cooked, separate, and fluffy—a testament to precise culinary control. The Chicken: The chicken pieces were glorious: tender, succulent, and falling off the bone with the slightest touch, having fully absorbed the rich, layered spices of the masala. Unparalleled taste. The experience was beautifully rounded out by the accompanying sides. These weren't mere accessories; they were the essential harmonies that elevated the entire culinary concert. The tangy pickle and cool raita and coconut chammanthi provided the perfect counterpoint to the spice, enhancing the rich flavor profile of the biryani and ensuring every bite felt fresh and exciting. Despite the relentless crowds, the service was cheerful, attentive, and impressively efficient. Our server ensured we had everything we needed with genuine warmth. While the ambiance is intentionally minimal and clean, it works perfectly, allowing the focus to remain squarely on the food. It’s a place where exceptional cuisine is the primary decorative element. It truly made for a great day. If you are looking for a classic, perfect dining experience where a dish is executed flawlessly. Recommended!

During our recent visit to Lulu Mall, Kochi, we decided to have an early dinner at Paragon Restaurant and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a mall setting. Paragon has multiple outlets spread across different floors, which makes it very convenient depending on where you are in the mall. We went in slightly early before the dinner rush and got a comfortable table quickly. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and served hot – just the way you’d expect from a restaurant of this reputation. We ordered multiple dishes like Nool Parotta, Malabar Parotta, Appam, Achayans Chicken Curry, Kanthari Chicken Varatiyathu, and also tried their refreshing Grape Nannari juice. Each dish stood out with its unique flavors. The Nool Parotta was soft and flaky, pairing perfectly with the rich gravies. The Malabar Parotta was crispy yet fluffy, exactly how an authentic parotta should be. The Appam was light, soft in the middle with slightly crisp edges – ideal to soak up the curry. Among the curries, the Achayans Chicken Curry had a wonderful depth of flavor with just the right balance of spice and creaminess. The Kanthari Chicken Varatiyathu, on the other hand, had that fiery kick from bird’s eye chilies, making it a delight for spice lovers. To cool it all down, the Grape Nannari juice was simply superb – refreshing, mildly sweet, and the perfect drink to round off the meal. The staff was courteous, service was reasonable though not extra ordinary, and hygiene was well-maintained. Only constructive feedback is they didn't have tea and packing snacks available in the bakery next to Multiplex floor, which was inconvenient and asked to go to another floor. For anyone visiting Lulu Mall, Paragon is a must-try if you want authentic Kerala flavors served with quality and consistency. Highly recommended!

Paragon is a legacy restaurant and a non-vegetarian’s delight. The fish dishes are the highlight of the restaurant, as is the biryani. So, whether you're new to Kochi or a Kochiite, you'll probably want to come here and experience the Kerala food scene! I admit I found it difficult to pronounce most names on the menu, but if you're visiting with a local, that won't be an issue. :) I tried out the legendary mango fish curry with parotta and thoroughly enjoyed it! Since the restaurant is a favourite, be prepared to wait for over 20-30 minutes on weekends!

Nestled in the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, the Old Harbour Hotel is a charming 18th-century Dutch colonial-style building with Portuguese influences. This historic hotel offers a unique blend of period furniture and artifacts, exuding an old-world charm. The property features a restaurant serving delectable seafood and locally grown organic vegetables, as well as an outdoor pool and an Ayurvedic spa for relaxation.
This has to be the best pool I’ve ever experienced. The connection to nature and the beautifully wild garden was just magical. You guys… the bird watching was out of this world!! 🤩 I spent hours here…. I know we were supposed to explore fort Cochin (and we did !!) but this place really kept drawing us back. It was our most relaxing stay in India. There is also live music at nights!!! I honestly had a spiritual connection the the musicians at one point. Too bad we had to leave… 😭 the pictures of this place does not do it justice!! +++ the staff were all kind and so helpful! Thank you all!

Loved staying at Old Harbour Hotel. We had a delightful garden room, with a gorgeous little secluded outdoor area. The pool is fantastic - secluded and quiet. It was just us and some crows who enjoyed playing around the pool! The staff were fabulous and we enjoyed the wonderful breakfast. Thank you!

A Charming Stop for Coffee & History I recently had the pleasure of enjoying coffee and cake at the restaurant located within this beautiful and historic hotel. The ambiance was incredibly comfortable and welcoming, making it a truly pleasant spot to relax. I was also very impressed by the cleanliness, extending even to the spotless restrooms. While the food itself was decent, I found it to be pretty standard, much like what you'd find at any other good café. What truly sets this place apart is its unique setting within the historic hotel. It adds a special charm that elevates the entire experience. A notable highlight for me was the availability of beef on the menu, which is quite a rare find in India! This definitely made it stand out.

Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. A truly delightful and welcoming place! Special thanks to owner Edgar and manager jude. Thanks a lot.

This is definitely one of the best hotels in India. The pool is gorgeous. The room so nice with daily fresh flowers. Food is outstanding and so delicious. A garden to dream. And all topped by a very friendly and charming crew. Ah and of course the location couldn’t be better and it is actually quiet (and I am very noise sensitive). I hope to come back soon.

My stay at here was comfortable and enjoyable. The location is convenient, close to major attractions, and easy to reach. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities provided. The staff was polite and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The highlight of the stay was the rooftop restaurant, which offered delicious food and a beautiful view of the city. Wi-Fi worked smoothly, and check-in/check-out was hassle-free. Overall, it’s a great option for both leisure and business travelers. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a great place --

Disappointing and overpriced – not the standard it claims to be The property has charm at first sight, but the room was clearly outdated and poorly maintained. It smelled of mould, and when checking under the mattress we found visible dirt and / or traces of mould (see photos). Despite the hotel’s boutique reputation and high price, basic hygiene and maintenance were far below expectations. Several facilities were in disrepair and the electrical installation – with very old Bakelite sockets – did not appear safe. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable, with the hard base pressing through the mattress so that both of us woke up with back pain. When our travel agency contacted the hotel about the issue, management was not cooperative. Only after we had already been rebooked elsewhere did they offer to show us another room. Staff were polite, but overall the hotel does not justify its price or reputation. You can find far better and cleaner places to stay in India for a fraction of the cost. This review is not written out of frustration, but to give future guests a realistic impression of the current condition of the hotel.

Old Harbour in Fort Kochi is a charming blend of colonial history and calm coastal vibes. The area is surrounded by heritage buildings, art cafes, antique shops, and the iconic Chinese fishing nets. It truly feels like stepping back in time. The streets around Old Harbour are peaceful and full of character—perfect for slow walks, photography, or just soaking in the laid-back vibe. The nearby cafes serve delicious food, and the presence of local street artists and performers adds a cultural touch. At sunset, the view near the waterfront is breathtaking. You can watch the fishermen at work and enjoy the cool breeze coming in from the Arabian Sea. Whether you're a history lover, an artist, or someone just looking to relax, Old Harbour and Fort Kochi offer something special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kochi.

Kochi Kitchen is a vibrant restaurant located in the center of Kochi, offering a diverse range of Indian, Asian, and international cuisine. The restaurant provides both buffet and a la carte options, featuring delectable dishes from Italian, Asian, and North Indian culinary traditions. With ample seating and attentive yet unobtrusive waitstaff, guests can enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
Kochi Kitchen offers a tantalizing dinner buffet with a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes. From traditional Indian cuisine to international flavors, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The quality of the food is excellent, with fresh ingredients and well-seasoned dishes. They even look gorgeous. Great Presentation, Guys. The service is impeccable, Thank you,  Anil and Joseph, for being so welcoming. Friendly and attentive staff ensure that every guest feels welcome and cared for. While the dinner buffet is a feast for the senses, it's unfortunate that there are no specific vegan options available. This is a significant drawback for vegans, who may feel limited in their choices. However, the team is always willing to accommodate special dietary needs, and they may be able to offer alternative options upon request. Overall, Kochi Kitchen is a great place to dine, offering delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Just be aware that if you're a vegan, you may need to be prepared to make adjustments to your meal.

The buffet was a joyful affair. The pizzas and pastas live counter was amazing. Desserts numbers were high. But a lot of them had egg . Surprisingly a lot of veg options were present in starters and main course. Lulu mall is within same compound as you can request a drop to main entrance.

I got the amazing opportunity to experience the breakfast buffet for 2 days during my stay at the Marriott hotel. The food was really delicious and up to international standards. The service of the staff was extremely professional. Notably, the service of Chef Sreejith was excellent, especially his signature dishes served along with his pleasant smile. Thank you so much, Kochi Kitchen, for the widespread variety of dishes.

Ifthar spread was too good. Be it the snacks, Kerala dishes, Chinese, North Indian, Mutton Haleem, Shorba just naming a few and everything was too good. The desert section was just outstanding. Ambience: Great ambience and musician entertained us with beautiful songs. We went for dinner buffet using Zomato dineout. We loved it. Service: Service was great, staffs were so professional and friendly. Sous chef approached us and had a delightful interaction with us. Food: Food was great , good quality and tasty. Some dishes were great and some dishes were ok. We had buffet , there was many dishes rice, Beef pepper masala, noodles, mutton curry, veg curries , Shahi paneer ( I loved it), chicken curry, Kolkata chicken biryani, many different types of salads , beetroot Chana salad, hummus, desserts had wide variety of choices, cut fruits, cheeses , ice cream( it was the best). There was live food counters too. We had live fish fry and pizza, naan, it was good. Fish fry was so fresh and tasty. One con I feel was there was only one juice and it was pineapple mojito. We went for the first time and we felt buffet food was worth the cost with wide variety of food choices.

A buffet dinner from a 5 star restaurant….to start with the infrastructure, ambience and their service is something that stays above everything 🌟🌟, the restaurant is neat and clean even for people with OCD, they have varieties of cuisine on offer..u can choose anything for your taste, I personally liked all their salads and rice items…something that also deserves an attention is the nutritional information that they have displayed along with each item. The chefs there are interactive and asks opinion abt the food they have served us. Its a bit on the costlier side but once in a while its a got to go place. Actually we will be confused..where to start from…but enjoy each food you will have more than enough time.

South Indian restaurant
Dhe Puttu is a warm and casual Indian dining room that specializes in serving various varieties of Puttu recipes. This popular South Indian breakfast dish is made from steamed, cylindrical-shaped, ground rice that is layered with dry coconut on the outside and filled with sweet or savory ingredients. The restaurant offers an authentic taste of Kerala cuisine with a touch of innovation to make the dining experience even more enticing.
Puttu has always been a favourite dish of mine like any other malayali. I was blown away with the varieties available here. Being a vegetarian I was a bit skeptical about the available varieties and how they would taste. We had 7 sundara raathrikal and Veg chopsuey puttu. Both tasted good though 7 sundara raathrikal was the highlight. The ambience of the restaurant is very special and interesting. The service by the staffs are also remarkable. Every aspect of the hotel highlights the fact that how great an entertainer actor Dileep is!

"Dhe Puttu restaurant in Edappally was a delightful experience! I tried Ariputtu, Mixed Puttu, and Chicken Puttu, all of which were very tasty. They were also generous with the pappadums and kattan chaya, which was a nice touch. The prices were reasonable too. Highly recommend!"

A fine option for puttu lovers.Absolutely loved the puttu combination at this restaurant. The texture was soft and the flavor was perfectly balanced. It paired well with the accompanying dishes. Highly recommend trying it out. The quality and taste were top-notch, making it a must-visit for fans of puttu dish. We tried beef kappa biryani, kammara sambavam , amar akbar antony combo, biryani putt , non veg putt thali, and putt kizhi. Every dish was delicious. They serve unlimited spicy and tasty black tea along with this . Have to wait to get a seat. Kammara sambavam and thali is highly recomendable.

I visited Dhe Puttu for the 2025 Onam Sadhya, and overall, I had a mixed experience. The Onam Sadhya and the payasam were excellent in both quality and taste, much better compared to many other restaurants. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made the dining experience pleasant. However, for the non-veg side, I ordered the King Fish Tawa, and it was very disappointing. Both the quality and quantity were poor. The staff mentioned it would be enough for two people, but what I received was just a small single piece priced at ₹550, which I felt was not at all worth it. Since my main focus was to try the Onam Sadhya, I didn’t go for other dishes. I would still strongly recommend the Sadhya and appreciate the staff’s service, but the non-veg dish I tried definitely needs improvement.

Had a great experience at Dhe Puttu! Despite the large crowd, the staff was friendly and efficient, and we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The food was excellent—we loved the spicy Beef Ididmulag, the unique Ramaleela with its mix of puttu and chicken, and the flavorful Erachi Puttu. The welcome Sulaimani and the chef's special mocktails were a nice touch. The ambiance was lovely with great lighting. Highly recommend!"

Have been there now a few times with friends and family and it’s now our go to spot to take any out station visitors we have to get a good tour of puttu and some Kerala heritage. The menu is sumptuous with non-veg dishes, but there is no dearth of interesting options for the vegetarians as well and the both are equally tasty. The crowd can be an off putting factor for some and during peak meal hours, one might have to wait outside- this if they arrange a more comfortable seating- would be great. There’s outdoor parking ground available for more than a dozen cars. The service is mostly warm. The crowded timings can be a miss sometimes, but otherwise it was pleasant. With a cool cosy interior, hot masala black tea like concoction (some days a bit too sweet), melodious songs in the background and bowls of crispy pappadams accompanying the puttu, one can never have a bad experience I guess! The price is on the higher side, over about 500+/head for a full meal. But the food is tasty and the experience is worth in my opinion, especially the off-peak hours- the availability of any dish wasn’t an issue.

Service is soo good, good food, good ambience. Varieties of Putt available especially for a putt lover. I had Marble put veg thali, choclate brownie, nannari sarbath, all were tasty and good. Definitely worth trying variety options of Puttu combinations available. Unlimited kattan chaya (masala), unlimited papadam is an added advantage. I haven't experienced anywhere that unlimited papadam is served. That too great first time experience. Once again amazing customer service experience, each one of them were welcoming us and always at our desk for all sort of help. Great service and Kudos to the team. Worth visit and must try.

Cochin International Airport (CIAL) is one of the better airports in India — clean, eco-friendly, and efficient. The solar power infrastructure is impressive and gives a positive feel. Terminals are spacious and well designed, with good amenities (lounges, shops, food). Security, immigration and baggage generally are handled well. Downsides: during peak hours, expect longer queues; food & services tend to be somewhat expensive; signage & transport info could be clearer. Overall: ★★★★☆ (4/5) — highly recommended.

There are prayer rooms made (ladies and gents separate) the are VIP rooms and otherwise a very comfortable seating arrangementa for passengers to rest. You step out of the airport and swiftly book your cab for the journey ahead. There is private taxis, prepaid taxis, ola, uber. Withing seconds your cab will be there to fetch you the best experience compared to other airports and drama by the cab drivers

Cochin International Airport (COK), also known as Kochi International Airport, is the busiest airport in the Indian state of Kerala. Located in Nedumbassery, about 25–28 km northeast of downtown Kochi, it was the first airport in India built under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The airport is notable for being the world's first to be fully solar-powered. Key facts about the airport: Ownership and management: It is owned and operated by Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). Terminals: The airport features three passenger terminals: one for international flights, one for domestic travel, and an exclusive business jet terminal. There is also a dedicated cargo terminal. Infrastructure: It has a single runway and is equipped with advanced technology for air traffic services, including radar systems and an instrument landing system. Solar power: The airport achieved full solar-powered status in 2015 and has since expanded its solar capacity, making it a power-positive airport that generates more electricity than it consumes. This green initiative earned it the United Nations' "Champion of the Earth" award in 2018. Terminals Terminal 1 (Domestic): Features traditional Kerala-style architecture and has a capacity to handle 4,000 passengers per hour. It has 56 check-in counters and 7 aerobridges. Terminal 2 (Business Jet): India's first charter gateway terminal, it caters to business jet and high-net-worth individuals, integrating facilities for tourism and conferences. It includes exclusive private parking and opulent lounges. Terminal 3 (International): Inspired by traditional Kerala temple architecture, this terminal was opened in 2017. It has 84 check-in counters, 80 immigration counters, and extensive duty-free shopping areas.

One of the best airports visited by me which won the international award in 2018 for the most eco-friendly airport. This is the first airport I'm the world that runs purely on solar energy. The cleanliness around was just remarkable! The drinking water fountains all had paper cup supplies. And I have not seen such comfy chairs in any airport. Makes you feel like you are in someone's living room. Kudos to the people as well, for respecting the space and helping to keep it so clean. Excellent shops around to grab stuff on way home and also great cafes for food. Highly recommend.

I visited Wonderla Amusement Park, Kochi with my friend last Sunday, and it was truly a memorable experience. The park is well maintained, neatly organized, and offers a perfect mix of thrilling water rides and adventurous land rides. The water rides, in particular, were both exciting and refreshing, making them a highlight of the day. The food experience was also impressive. There were plenty of tasty options, and the unlimited food pack made it convenient to enjoy different dishes without worrying about cost. We have been to this park as a group and enjoyed. It has one of the great and thrilling roller coaster ride. I've been to singapore and malaysia, but this is most thrilling ride among. I suggest to book tickets online and utilse if any online offer available would be cheaper as counter ticket cost more.

Me and Kids enjoyed a lot the whole day. There is no chance to get boring since there are several rides. Took fast track inorder to get rid of the queue.. It was a good decision! Will visit again.
Prasanth E — Google review
I recently visited Wonderla Kochi with my friends for a one-day trip, and here’s my honest experience: ✅ Positives: Rides & Experience: All the rides are really good, both water and land. The water rides, in particular, stand out and give a refreshing experience, while the land rides are adventurous and thrilling, flipping you upside down and all around. Value for Money (Offer Price): We got tickets for under ₹1000 as part of an offer, which felt like a good deal considering the variety of rides and facilities. Staff & Management: The staff were professional, polite, and maintained good discipline throughout the park. ⚠️ Negatives / Demerits: Heavy Rush Even on Weekdays: The park was very crowded even on a weekday, leading to long queues for almost every ride. This reduced the number of rides we could actually enjoy. Expensive Food & Drinks: The food courts inside charge very high prices for both meals and beverages. High Locker Charges: The locker facility, though essential, is priced on the higher side. Fast Track Tickets: If you want to skip long queues, you need a Fastrack ticket, but that again is highly priced, making it less affordable for many. Overcrowding: There seems to be no limit on the number of customers allowed in a day, which impacts the overall experience. 🎯 Final Verdict: Overall, Wonderla Kochi is definitely worth a one-time visit in life. The rides are thrilling, the water experiences are fun, and the management is decent. However, due to overcrowding, long queues, and high costs for extras like food, lockers, and Fastrack tickets, I don’t see myself visiting again. 👉 A good adventure, but best enjoyed once.

Had an awesome day at Wonderla Kochi! The park is super clean and has tons of rides for all ages. The water rides are the best. The dry rides are super fun too. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and they take safety seriously. Even though it was a weekend, it didn’t feel too crowded, which was great. Plenty of parking and clean changing rooms and lockers. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun day out with friends or family.
VIKAS — Google review
This is one of the best places to spend a full fun day with friends. The land and water rides are super exciting and totally worth it. There is ambient music playing all around and evening time in the park feels magical, you won’t even feel like leaving. The whole place is clean, safe and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurants inside serve tasty food for lunch and evening snacks. There are many small shops for souvenirs and snacks. Dress changing areas and lockers are safe, clean and spacious. You should try all the land rides first before getting into the water because some land rides need you to be dry. Best way to start is with the recoil ride and then go on. Before leaving don’t miss the sky wheel on top of the building, the view of Kochi from there is just mind blowing. This place has everything you expect from an amusement and water theme park. Perfect spot for holidays and weekends with friends or family
Adityan R — Google review
We visited Wonderla on a Wednesday, and it was a great experience! The crowd was minimal, and we hardly waited more than 5-10 minutes for any ride. Even then we couldn’t manage to cover all the rides. They also provide water-resistant mobile covers(₹150), which I’d recommend buying a couple of it if you’re going in a large group, since people might want to split up and try different rides. We were a group of 6, and 2 lockers were sufficient to store all our bags and footwear. It’s better to take the buffet or their “Lunch and snacks” combo along with ticket. For around ₹380, we got chicken biryani, a sweet, snacks, and a soft drink – totally worth it, and the food was really good. The water rides were especially fun and refreshing. Just keep in mind that some rides have weight limitations, have attached a photo about its details. We can buy their polyester T-shirt and trousers combo for ₹250 at the main entrance, inside the gate.

Museum
The Hill Palace Museum, located in Kochi, Kerala, is a 19th-century palace complex that has been transformed into an archaeological and heritage museum. It was originally the residence of the Maharaja of Cochin and now houses a vast collection of artifacts from the Cochin royal family. The museum boasts an impressive display of oil paintings, murals, swords, manuscripts, and other items used by the royal family.
Visited the Hill Palace Museum recently and it was a great experience. The place is full of historic treasures — from royal crowns and weapons to ancient artifacts and coins. It really gives a deep insight into the rich heritage of the Cochin Royal Family. The museum is set in a large, peaceful area with plenty of space to walk around, relax, and enjoy the greenery. The palace grounds also include a deer park and a small garden which add to the charm. Fun fact: This place has been featured in many Malayalam movies, including the famous Manichitrathazhu, which adds a nostalgic touch. Overall, it's a must-visit for history lovers and families. Calm vibe, friendly staff, and a great way to spend a peaceful few hours.

The Hill Palace Museum in Thrippunithura offers a truly enchanting and memorable experience. As the largest archaeological museum in Kerala, its historical significance and majestic architecture are immediately impressive. We greatly enjoyed wandering through the sprawling palace complex and its beautifully maintained gardens. The exhibits, which showcase a rich collection of royal artifacts, crown jewels, and historical sculptures, are incredibly insightful and well-presented. The atmosphere throughout the visit was quiet and serene, making it a perfectly pleasant retreat. Overall, we had a very nice and pleasant experience and highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in Kerala's rich royal and cultural heritage.

Hill Palace in Tripunithura is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Kerala’s royal heritage and history. Once the official residence and administrative office of the Cochin Maharaja, this grand complex was built in 1865 and now stands as the largest archaeological museum in the state. Spread across 54 acres, the palace complex houses 49 buildings featuring traditional Kerala architecture. Each section has its own historical charm - from the Poomukham (entrance hall) and Madappally (royal kitchen) to the Oottupura (dining hall) and Nalukettu courtyards. Walking through these blocks gives a glimpse into the royal lifestyle and architectural brilliance of that era. The museum itself is incredibly well-curated, displaying 14 categories of artifacts including the Cochin royal family’s crown and ornaments, majestic furniture, intricate paintings, ancient coins, weapons, and stone sculptures. The gold crown studded with precious stones is one of the main highlights. Apart from the main museum, the complex also includes a deer park, pre-historic park, and children’s park - making it a nice destination for families as well. The surrounding greenery adds a calm and regal feel to the entire experience. 🕘 Visiting Hours: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM & 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM (Closed on Mondays) 💰 Entry Fee: Adults – ₹50 | Children (5–12) – ₹10 🎠 Children’s Park: Open till 6:00 PM Overall, Hill Palace beautifully preserves Kerala’s royal past and offers a peaceful, educational outing. Highly recommended for history lovers, families, and anyone looking to explore Kerala’s cultural roots.
Akhil A — Google review
The Hill Palace Museum is a historian’s delight. Take the path up the gentle slope to reach the entrance to the grand palace that once used to be the residence of several generations of the Royal Family for centuries. The rooms and hallways of the palace now house a multitude of royal artefacts and relics in display shelves with detailed explanations in both Malayalam and English. The area is maintained well and the exhibits have been preserved with care. Footwear is expected to be removed on entering the palace and kept in a cloakroom just outside. There is, however, no token management system for footwear left behind in the cloakroom. The surrounding gardens and structures are also well maintained by the authorities here. This venue also happens to be popular among Malayalam movie fans as there have been a few popular movie scenes famously filmed in the palace and its grounds, the most popular one being ‘Manichitrathazhu’, an epic 1993 Malayalam movie. Apart from the main palace, other things to see within its grounds include the Sculpture museum, a deer park, and the structures leading to the palace pond. The gigantic ancient trees provide a wonderful canopy as you make your way around the back of the palace. Car parking is available near the entrance or even up the winding slope that leads up to the palace. Entry fees: 50 Rs. for an adult. 10 Rs. additional fee for mobile photography. 10 Rs. for a child. 10-50 Rs. for parking based on the type of vehicle. The entry fee for a foreigner is higher though. 500 Rs. for an adult and 100 Rs. for a child. Only cash accepted at the ticket counter. No card or UPI payments. There was a small icecream cart near the ticket counter. And a canteen somewhere behind the palace. And a children’s park. There are no souvenir shops around. A lot of area has to be covered on foot. The inside of the palace is not wheelchair friendly. Visitors climb up the old wooden spiral staircase to see the exhibits on display on the first floor. There is an ancient elevator inside the palace (the first ever installed in Kerala), but that’s one of the display exhibits and is not in use. There are a few park benches around, but watch out for mosquitos in the evenings!

I am sorry but the expectation i maintained about this place was not seen in real... In birds, you can definitely find Bats.. others i didn't see when i was their.. Oh i forgot.. u can find many love birds here and their (in human form) or even under some bushes.. I am not negatively pointing to those who bring lovers over their, but few should know that its a public place and childrens may enter at anytime.

Extremely disappointing visit. It felt more like a mosquito sanctuary than a bird sanctuary—mosquitoes everywhere and hardly anything worth seeing. The place is poorly maintained. I booked a ticket online, the money got debited, but never received the ticket. The website crashed right after payment. Especially during the rainy season, this place is a total waste of time.
Ullas U — Google review
Great atmosphere but it's better to go during the optimal weather ,I went on rainy day so couldn't see much but there are lots of bat , must be patient while look for the birds
Ajay S — Google review
A very disappointing experience. The place is poorly maintained and lacks basic cleanliness — litter in some areas and an overall unhygienic environment. Despite being called a bird sanctuary, there were hardly any birds to see except for a few common ones. It felt more like a neglected park than a sanctuary. There were a few couples sitting here and there, which made it feel more like a hangout spot than a proper nature or bird-watching destination. Families or solo visitors expecting a peaceful natural experience will likely be disappointed. The walking paths are uneven and not well kept, and there are no proper information boards or staff around to guide visitors. Overall, it was a waste of time and definitely not worth the effort to reach here. Needs serious maintenance and proper management if it’s to be called a bird sanctuary.

Punjabi restaurant
Sardarji Ka Dhaba is a popular restaurant in Kochi known for its top-notch North Indian cuisine. Situated near the metro station, this place offers an authentic taste of Punjabi food. The ambiance is simple yet inviting, making it suitable for family outings or even private events with their separate party hall. While the prices may be slightly higher, the quality and quantity of the food make it well worth it.
Sardarji Ka Dhaba on Banerji Road, Ernakulam, is our go-to spot for North Indian cuisine. Their Mix Tandoori Platter is a favorite, and the naan, roti, and butter chicken are all delicious. The service is good, and the valet car parking is convenient. A unique feature is the separate floors for veg (ground floor) and non-veg (first floor) options, catering to different preferences.

Food is very nice . Getting an authentic taste . Service is fine . Hygiene is good. Good quantity of food . Perfect who wanted north taste foods . For vegetarians there is separate sectikn and seperate kitchen. Price is little expensive.

I went with my family members on Eid holidays but the experience was very bad. We ordered chicken tandoori, handi & butter. They severd the tandoori first without bread, the chicken was not fresh and they served the bread & other dishes after 20 minutes. The quantity of one full chicken tandoori was very poor and surprised. Also they service is very bad, no water , no tissues. The family section seating was good. Not recommended... Worst food ....

Used to be a favourite among Punjabi restaurants in Kochi. But the recent experience was not very satisfying. Especially, the Punjabi chicken curry we had was not up to the quality we expected, unlike before. However, their rice dishes have always been of top quality.

Visited Sardargi Ka Dhaba on Banerji Road and tried their Mushroom Masala along with Butter Tandoori Roti. The dishes were well-prepared, flavorful, and served fresh. The balance of spices in the curry and the softness of the rotis truly stood out. The restaurant maintains a pleasant ambience with courteous service, making it a satisfying dining experience overall. A great option in Ernakulam for authentic North Indian cuisine.

Tasty food. Good ambience, Suitable for family and group. Though rate is little bit higher, it can be justified by comparing with quality, atmosphere etc. Vegitarian and Non veg are functioning in different floors with individual kitchens. As displayed by the management, wallet parking is available. To reach wash basin in Veg. section you have to climb some steps.
Jayan K — Google review
We tried Lachha Paratha, Paneer Tikka Masala, Stuffed Mushroom Tikka (starter), and Boondi Raita. The Lachha Paratha was crispier than expected, while both the Paneer Tikka Masala and Stuffed Mushroom Tikka were flavorful and served in generous portions. However, the Boondi Raita was overly sour, making it hard to enjoy. The restaurant was neat and well-maintained, with a dedicated vegetarian section. Valet parking was also available, which was a plus.

Grand Pavilion, located at the Grand Hotel on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Kochi, offers a minimalistic-chic setting for enjoying a variety of multicuisine meals. The restaurant's menu features an array of dishes including North Indian, Kerala, and Continental fare. Known for its classic Kerala meals and upscale ambiance, this eatery is one of the oldest food establishments in Kochi.
Excellent ambience, well spaced and bustling, with a wide menu range (continental, chinese, kerala, goan, north and south indian), decent taste, and great service adds this restaurant to a must visit while in Kochi especially for its fish curry meals. Loved the various meal options including Veg, Chicken and Fish curry meals. Equally impressive was the omelette with hash browns, karimeen, well balanced butter milk, sambar and payasam (with the meals), brownie and Chicken biryani. Also has good parking space.

I had lunch from this fine place a few days ago. The restaurant is located inside the hotel and looked very professional. The food that i ordered, the karimeen fry was super fresh and had the right amount of spices and fried to perfection. The Mutton Biryani was delicious, the meat was soft and juicy and the quantity of meat was overwhelming in a good way. The succulent meat almost three times of what you would get in a normal restaurant. Overall a great experience, definitely want to try all their other dishes.

We went to Grand Pavillion for dinner after seeing a video review by a fellow vlogger. We had Alleppey fish curry, Kerala parotta, appam and Kerala beef roast. The dinner was delicious and the service was good. The beef roast was super tasty but it was a bit chewy...could have been cooked a bit more. The ambiance is pleasant and the restaurant has maintained its rustic look. The restaurant has been in service since 1963 and is one of the recommended restaurants to dine at in Kochi.
Karl W — Google review
Tried quite a few items here on a weekday for lunch. The place was quite busy with customers waiting to be seated. Most of the food we tried was pretty good, including the kerala parotta, Chicken curry and fish wrapped in banana leaf. Although we were a bit disappointed with the size of the fish being quite small and the taste of the biryani not being as good as you would expect in a place of this kind. Prices are on the higher side, service was pretty good.

**Avoid this restaurant if you care about your health and safety.** Yesterday we went for dinner and ordered chicken curry, mutton curry, rice, and Malabar paratha. The mutton was chewy, we complained and it was taken off the bill. But what happened next was absolutely revolting, we found a **huge cockroach** crawling right next to our table. When we called the waiter, he casually called someone over, laughed and everyone treated it like a joke. No apology. No urgency. No concern. This is not just bad service, this is disgusting, unhygienic and dangerous. A restaurant that treats such a serious issue so lightly should be shut down until they fix their hygiene standards.

Fast food restaurant
Sree Muruga Cafe, situated in Poonithura, Kochi, stands out for its distinctive breakfast offerings. One of its unique dishes is pazham pori, a deep-fried banana coated in batter typically not served for breakfast. However, at Sree Muruga Cafe, it's creatively paired with beef curry. This makes the cafe possibly the only one in Kochi and even Kerala to offer this unusual yet delicious combination for breakfast.
The pazham pori + beef combo is an extraordinary culinary discovery—bold, comforting, and uniquely satisfying. Coupled with warm service and excellent regional dishes, Sree Muruga Cafe is a must-visit for anyone exploring Kerala’s breakfast scene. I can’t wait to return!
Sachin S — Google review
We visited Sri Muruga Cafe in Thrippunithura in the morning, hoping to try their popular pazhampori-beef combo. Unfortunately, we were a bit too early for that. Instead, we opted for uzhunnu vada with beef and appam with beef, accompanied by their special tea. The beef was flavorful and well-cooked, though we did find a few chow chow (chayote) pieces mixed in, which some might find unusual. The uzhunnu vada was crisp and freshly made, and the appam was soft and paired well with the curry. Tea was strong and satisfying — a perfect companion to the breakfast. The restaurant was neat and clean with a calm ambiance, and their dining area was comfortable and welcoming. However, parking was a bit of a hassle, especially during peak hours, as space is quite limited. Overall, it was a pleasant breakfast experience. We'll definitely be back — hopefully at the right time to try that pazhampori-beef combo next time!

Decent for a quick bite: crispy dosa and good filter coffee. But seating is cramped, wait times during rush are long, and chutney/sambar taste varies. Fair prices, fine if you’re nearby—not a special trip.

Sree Muruga Cafe is a simple, no-frills spot known for its tasty local dishes. Pazham pori and beef are quite popular here, and the food overall is flavorful and satisfying. Don’t expect much in terms of ambience — it’s more about the food than the setting. Prices are reasonable, making it a good choice for a quick and hearty bite.

I’m not sure if I went at the wrong time (around 4 PM). The banana fritters (pazhampori) were bland and soggy, and the tea glass wasn’t properly cleaned. Honestly, vert overhyped place. I left without finishing my snacks and tea—that level of disappointing it was. Cramped space.

Central Square Mall, Kochi: A Good One-Stop Destination Central Square Mall is a well-established and reliable shopping and entertainment destination in Kochi. It offers a complete experience under one roof, making it a great place to spend a few hours with family or friends. What's Good: · Variety of Stores: You'll find a decent mix of popular national and international brands for fashion, electronics, and lifestyle products. · Food Court & Restaurants: The food court offers a wide range of cuisines, from quick bites to proper sit-down meals, catering to different tastes and budgets. · Entertainment: The multiplex cinema is a major draw, providing a good movie-going experience with comfortable screens and sound. · Cleanliness & Ambiance: The mall is generally clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making for a pleasant shopping environment. What Could Be Better: · It can get quite crowded on weekends and holidays, leading to a bit of a wait at elevators, billing counters, and popular restaurants. · While it has all the essential stores, it may not have the same high-end luxury brand selection as some newer malls. Overall: Central Square Mall doesn't necessarily surprise you,but it consistently delivers a solid and convenient experience. Whether you're out for shopping, a movie, or a meal, it serves its purpose well. It's a highly recommended spot for a reliable day out.

There are only a few people around at that time, which makes it perfect for walking, meditation, or just enjoying some quiet time with nature. The greenery and fresh air make mornings here really refreshing. The evenings and nights have a different vibe altogether. The park looks so beautiful with all the lights, and it feels lively but still very relaxing. It’s a wonderful spot to spend time with family or friends – you can sit, talk, walk around, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. There are enough seating areas, so you don’t have to worry about finding a place to rest. What I also like is that the park has a dedicated space for kids. Families can come here without any worries, and children have a safe place to play while the adults enjoy their own time. Overall, it’s a great park to visit at any time of the day, whether you’re looking for peace in the morning or a nice outing in the evening.

You get a beautiful view of the sunset over the river from here. There are some nice structures on display like the huge lounge chair. The park itself is decently maintained. There is tea, coffee, snacks and restrooms. So you can have a nice time if you want to. It does seem like the place where couples come often to spend time together especially being opposite to a college and all.

Subash Park is an amazing place to hang out, especially in the evenings. The scenery is truly beautiful with well-maintained gardens, a calm atmosphere, and a great view of the backwaters. It’s perfect for relaxing, taking a walk, or spending time with friends and family. The cool breeze and greenery make it one of the best spots in the city to unwind. 🌿✨

I drop in here for walks pretty often, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening — just depends on how the day goes. Mornings are my favourite. The gates open at 6:00 and close by 9:00, and in those hours you’ll hardly see more than 20–25 people. It’s quiet, calm, and a great place to clear your head. Evenings are from 2:00 to 8:30. They’re a little busier, but the sunset over the water makes up for it. You can just sit, watch the colours change, and forget about the rush outside for a while. The walkway’s well-kept, the surroundings are clean, and it’s one of those few places in Kochi where you can just breathe, slow down, and feel nothing but good vibes.

Park has a vast space. The front side is with lawn, garden and children play area. Further back is filled with full grown trees and shade which overlooks the backwaters. Paid toilets are available. Overall a very nice place to relax

Subhash Bose Park in Kochi is a beautifully maintained urban green space that offers a refreshing escape from the city’s hustle. Located near the busy Marine Drive stretch, this park is ideal for morning walks, evening strolls, family outings, or simply unwinding by the waterfront. The walking paths are clean and well-lit, surrounded by lush greenery, neatly landscaped gardens, and benches to relax. The view of the backwaters adds a soothing charm, especially during sunset when the atmosphere becomes truly picturesque. There are dedicated play areas for children, making it a family-friendly spot. The open-air amphitheatre occasionally hosts cultural activities, adding a vibrant touch to the park. One of the best things about Subhash Bose Park is how calm and peaceful it feels despite being centrally located. It is well maintained, has clean rest areas, and is a safe place for both locals and tourists to spend time. A small food corner and nearby eateries provide convenient snack options after a relaxing walk. Whether you're looking to relax in nature, enjoy a quiet moment by the water, or take a break from city life, Subhash Bose Park is a wonderful and refreshing public space worth visiting in Kochi A heaven for the morning walker 💕 and evening sight seeing.

Originally constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 and later renovated by the Dutch, this palace is located just 10 km from main Ernakulam. Visited the Mattanchery/Dutch Palace in Kochi and it was an incredible experience! The place beautifully showcases the rich heritage and architecture of Kerala’s royal era. It’s also known as Dutch Palace as the Dutch had renovated the palace as a gift to the Kochi royals. The murals and artifacts offer a glimpse into the fascinating history of the Kochi kingdom and its cultural connections with the Dutch and Portuguese. The palace is very well maintained, clean, and organized, making it a delight for history lovers and tourists alike. A must-visit spot to truly appreciate the legacy and charm of old Kochi!

This is a really fascinating place. An absolute must visit. The AI description here is very accurate. The palace looks bland and uninteresting from outside but inside it’s an absolute delight. The interiors are incredible, especially the murals and ceilings, as are most of the exhibits. The entry price - 5 rupees - is ridiculously low. It should be increased significantly for foreigners. We spent a happy hour here and could have spent more. The only disappointment we found with the place is that the entrance and surrounds need to be tarted up a bit to make the exterior look more attractive. Otherwise, top marks

My visit to Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, was an enriching experience. The palace beautifully showcases Kerala’s royal history through well-preserved murals, paintings, and exhibits of the Cochin rulers. The architecture reflects a unique mix of Portuguese and traditional Kerala styles. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in culture, history, or art. The location in Fort Kochi makes it easy to explore nearby attractions as well

This was the first old palace of mattanchery built by the Dutch. It's a relatively small palace but it's very detailed and has some of the best old maps of Cochin. There's a lot of enthnography of the royals and the way they lived. I loved reading about the history. I was looking forward to the murals but they are faded and hard to see. I enjoyed the architecture and the maps more. I was surprised to see that there isn't a single toilet within the palace. I guess the kings and queens did their business in the outside like everyone else at the time.

Small palace or building converted to museum of sorts. Displayes certain items used by the royals like swords, knives, palanquins, headgears, uniforms etc. Tickets prices only Rs 5 for adults. You dont need to spend a lot of time since there isnt much to see. Lots of historical writeups on the royal family are there probably downloaded from Google and placed for public to read. Temple at the ground floor open only occasionallly and allows only Hindus to enter. Small market outside sells good small useful items at a fair price.

Mocha Art Cafe is a charming spot located in the Jew Town area of Kochi, boasting a 300-year-old story and vintage charm that art lovers will appreciate. The cafe offers unique drinks such as saffron tea and apricot-peach juice, along with signature dishes like mocha, chocolate cake, prawn tawa grill, and beef omelettes.
This hidden gem in Jewish Town is an absolute delight. You can easily miss the entrance if you are not looking for it! Once you climb up a pretty steep wooden staircase, you are greeted with an art gallery. The paintings on display on the day we visited were by a local artist and very nice. The cafe is very aesthetically done up. The people serving were very polite and accommodating. The ordered drinks and individual dishes. The portion size was good and do was the quality. The cafe is now about 10 years old. Was a spice warehouse now concerted. Highly recommended when in Jewish Town.

Recently I went on a trip with two of my friends and stopped by Cafe Mocha for lunch. We searched for 'restaurants near by' on google maps and decided on Cafe Mocha because of the good reviews, a menu that seemed interesting and affordable, and the cozy vibe of the cafe. And lemme tell you! Cafe mocha did not disappoint! Both the atmosphere and the food were great! We asked for a private eating area and was directed to a cozy room which had a long japanese style table and cushions to sit on! The vibes were immaculate and the food was great!

Mocha Art Café in Fort Kochi is an absolute gem that beautifully combines culture, creativity, and culinary delight. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by warm, rustic interiors and vibrant art pieces that give the café an unmistakable charm. The mix of old-world architecture with contemporary art makes it both cozy and inspiring. The food is just as impressive — from their perfectly brewed coffee to the delicious range of continental and local dishes, everything feels thoughtfully prepared. The presentation, the flavors, and the portion sizes are all spot on. Their iced mocha and hummus platter are must-tries! What really sets this place apart, though, is the vibe — calm, artistic, and welcoming. Whether you’re here to catch up with friends, read a book, or simply soak in the ambiance, Mocha Art Café is the ideal spot. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the café’s warm personality.

We went there for a sweet snack. We ordered a brownie, chocolate cake, iced coffee and wheat bread with chocolate. It was way too sweet! The brownie is nicely served on a hot pan, very 'nice, but the burning pan burned the brownie, so the button was un-eatable. The "coulis" on the cake was way too sweet. The iced coffee was served automatically with too much sugar... Otherwise the wheat bread was good.

Indian Coffee House is a historic restaurant chain in India, known for its worker co-operative model and affordable drinks and snacks. With nearly 400 locations across the country, it has become a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The vintage charm of the Kochi branch adds to its appeal, offering quick service and pocket-friendly prices. Visitors can enjoy refreshing filter coffee, flavorful masala dosas, crispy vadas, and nostalgic favorites like vegetable cutlets.
I recently visited the Indian Coffee House at Marine Drive, Kochi, and had a pleasant experience overall. Nestled along the iconic Marine Drive, the location adds a lovely touch to the old-world charm of this historic chain of restaurants. The food here sticks to classic flavors, and the taste truly delivers. I tried the chicken cutlet, and it was easily the highlight of my visit. Perfectly crisp on the outside and flavorful on the inside, the cutlet was well-spiced and satisfying. It's a must-try for anyone who visits. Paired with their signature coffee, it made for a comforting and nostalgic snack. Speaking of coffee, the filter coffee here is also quite good-strong, aromatic, and served the traditional way. It's the kind of beverage that brings back memories of simpler times and is perfect for a break while enjoying the sea breeze. The ambiance is modest and retro, consistent with the Indian Coffee House style across the country. It's not fancy, but that's part of its charm. The uniformed staff, old-school decor, and straightforward menu all add to a timeless experience that regulars and first-time visitors alike can appreciate. Service is quick and efficient, and the staff are polite and attentive. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great stop whether you're looking for a full meal or a light bite with coffee. In conclusion, Indian Coffee House at Marine Drive is a great place to enjoy simple, tasty food in a peaceful setting. The chicken cutlet and coffee combo is highly recommended. It's not about luxury or frills-just good food, good coffee, and a timeless atmosphere.

I recently visited this place after a long time. There were a lot of customers at my time of visit. I have ordered Ghee Roast Dosa and that was good, it was served along with coconut chutney and sambar. Now they were not allowing to dine at the first floor. There is no parking space dedicated for the customers of this shop. However, there is a pay and park nearby.

I recently had the misfortune of eating at this restaurant, and my experience was nothing short of disastrous. The restaurant poorly maintained facilities, unhygienic staff, and dreadful dining area made my day a nightmare. *Poorly Maintained Dining Area:* The dining area was in a deplorable state. The tables and chairs were dirty, and the floor was sticky. The ambiance was far from welcoming, making it a chore to eat there. *Unhygienic Staff:* The staff, particularly those handling food, were not clean. Their attire was stained, and their hands were not sanitized. This was a major concern, as it compromised the safety and quality of the food. *Toilet Facilities:* The toilet facilities were reminiscent of a public toilet – dirty, smelly, and poorly maintained. This was unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to provide a comfortable eating experience. *Dining Experience:* The food quality was subpar, and the presentation was unappetizing. The dining area's poor maintenance and the staff's lack of hygiene made it a hellish experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent meal. *Rating Breakdown:* - Cleanliness: 1/5 - Staff Hygiene: 1/5 - Dining Experience: 1/5 - Ambiance: 1/5 - Overall Experience: 1/5 *Recommendation: Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The poor maintenance, unhygienic staff, and dreadful dining experience make it a place to steer clear of. Until the restaurant addresses these issues, it's best to look elsewhere for a comfortable and enjoyable eating.

I'm writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received at your restaurant in Kochi. Unfortunately, the staff's behavior was rude and unacceptable. During our visit, we were subjected to verbal abuse and intimidation by the staff, including being asked to leave the premises in a hostile manner. What's more concerning is that this behavior was exhibited by staff members who appeared to be the owners' children, and they used derogatory language in local dialects. As a tourist, I expect a certain level of hospitality and respect, especially in a place that's supposed to showcase the local culture. Your team's behavior fell woefully short of these expectations. I intend to file a formal complaint with the relevant authorities and share my experience with fellow travelers to prevent others from facing similar treatment. I hope you'll take immediate action to address this issue, including: 1. Investigating the incident 2. Apologizing for the staff's behavior 3. Taking disciplinary action against the staff members involved 4. Providing better training for staff on customer service and conflict resolution

Punjabi restaurant
Tucked away in the vibrant streets of Broadway, Kochi, Punjab House has been a beloved family-run gem since 1969. This charming eatery offers an authentic taste of vegetarian Punjabi cuisine that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more. With a menu that changes daily, diners can indulge in delightful dishes like soft parathas stuffed with potato or paneer, paired perfectly with fragrant curries such as lentil with tomato or bitter gourd with onion.
An Authentic Slice of North India in the Heart of Kochi! Stumbled upon Punjab House quite by chance, and I’m so glad I did. Tucked away in a quiet bylane of Broadway, this decades-old gem is a haven for anyone craving authentic, home-style North Indian vegetarian food. Owned and run by a warm-hearted Punjabi family, the restaurant has been around since 1969 — a true testament to the love and loyalty of its patrons. During my visit, I had Chapati, Channa Dal, Aloo Fry and Rice — simple, wholesome dishes, yet bursting with flavour. Each bite reminded me of a homemade meal, lovingly prepared and comforting to the core. The Channa Dal was perfectly spiced, the Aloo Fry had just the right crisp and seasoning, and the chapatis were soft and fresh off the tawa. What makes Punjab House stand out is not just the food, but the soul behind it. Mr. Brahamdev, who now runs the place, carries forward his mother Pushpa Krishanlal’s legacy with sincerity and pride. The menu changes daily, just like at home, so there’s always something new to look forward to. Though the restaurant doesn’t serve tandoori or non-veg, the humble, vegetarian fare speaks volumes in terms of taste and nostalgia. And of course, don’t leave without trying their legendary aloo paratha and lassi — both are unforgettable! If you're in Kochi and looking for a taste of genuine Punjabi food, Punjab House is a must-visit. It’s not just a meal, it’s a memory.

Amazing food with super quick service—everything was served in under 5 minutes! The mango lassi was refreshing and one of the best I’ve tried. This is easily one of the best places in Broadway, Ernakulam, for North Indian dishes. I ordered Aloo Paratha and Paneer Curry, both were excellent. Just note that pickle and curd aren’t included, so you may need to order them separately. The lassi is also a must-try. The only downside is that the shop is inside Broadway market, which makes it a bit tricky to reach by car. Parking nearby or using a two-wheeler is more convenient. Definitely worth visiting!

We got to the restaurant a bit late, around 9:30 PM, so there weren't many options left. The lassi and achar were especially delicious. 🫠💖

The place is very much hyped over social media. The restaurant is located in the Broadway street of Kochi. We were curious about the hype. We found the food great. It was a vegetarian punjabi restaurant. The overall space was too cramped. People were waiting for others to finish their meals. The rates of the dishes were made so affordable and the quality of the food is maintained. I tried the gobi paratha with sweet lassi.

This small Punjabi vegetarian restaurant is always crowded, but definitely worth the wait! The taste is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. I tried the Paneer Paratha, Aloo Paratha, Dal Fry, Paneer Pyaaz, and more, all of which were flavorful and satisfying. The Lassi here is a must-try—both the Mango Lassi and Sweet Lassi are great! During peak times, there’s usually a wait, so it's better to walk there due to the rush in Broadway Market. A great place for authentic Punjabi flavors!

Seafood restaurant
The Rice Boat is a waterfront hotel restaurant designed to resemble a traditional Keralan rice boat. Located on Willingdon Island, it offers uninterrupted ocean views and a delectable variety of seafood dishes, including global flavors. The menu features a special Catch of the Day section, allowing diners to select their preferred fresh seafood catch and have it prepared to their liking. Guests can enjoy the serene backwater surroundings while savoring delicious meals in this unique Kerala-style setting.
I feel so lucky to have dined at Rice Boat @ Taj Malabar. I almost missed dining here as reservations were all sold out but I was in luck to get a table in the last minute. Right from the beginning, Mr. Ahilan took great care of us, from assigning our desired tables to explaining the menu, to recommending the best dishes possible! His care, attention to detail and honest attempt at delivering a great hospitality experience definitely was the highlight of our visit. The restaurant is set right inside the backwaters; it’s built like a traditional Kerala boat, and the backwaters passing by at great speeds, with majestic ships from the Kochi Port and Indian Navy passing right by you, you’ll be easily amused and entertained, feeling like you’re riding through the waters in a boat. We tried the Kerala style Stir Fried Squids, their signature appam, fish curry & the tender coconut mousse for dessert and man did our taste buds have a ball the entire time 😅 every single dish was crafted with utmost attention to detail & perfection. Needless to say, the food we had at Rice Boat was the best food we had in all of Kochi. I will definitely visit here again and bring my entire family! Thanks Mr. Ahilan!

This Taj hotel restaurant offers a beautiful ambiance and fantastic service, but our experience with the Kerala set menu was mixed. Most of the seafood dishes were cooked to a high standard, showcasing punchy flavors and well-balanced spices. However, the fish moilee was a major letdown. It was missing key ingredients and lacked the characteristic complexity of flavors, tasting overwhelmingly of coconut milk. This was particularly disappointing considering the price of the set menu and the expectation of elevated cuisine at a Taj property. On a more positive note, the breads, appams, and dessert plate were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive

This was by far and away the best meal we had in India. The food was outstanding - we had the seafood tasting menu. We complimented them on the crab soup and they brought us another bowl. How good is that? The service was swift, attentive and thoughtful. They were completely on the ball. One thing I did appreciate was there was no pressure to provide feedback at the end of the meal. So this feedback is unprompted - go - you wont be disappointed. Reservation advised.

Absolutely delicious! I was a bit skeptical at first since it’s at the hotel resort and I tend to appreciate proper local restaurants much more, but no doubt Rice Boat is definitely fantastic authentic Kerala cuisine. We tried their tasting menu and every single menus from starter to desert are so smooth and just melt in the mouth! Their service and restaurant staffs are very friendly and informative. Mr Ahilan especially is very knowledgeable on explaining everything. Very Well done 👍🏻

rice boat is ideal for seafood lovers. the food was really good and the staff was very helpful. since i was allergic to crab crackers they made sure i had vegetarian crackers which was very thoughtful of them. the other cafe pepper was also nice we been there other day and the biriyani there was too good. ambience is really worth coming again and we did enjoy a lot

Rice Boat at the Taj Malabar Resort & Spa, located by the picturesque backwaters of Cochin, is a must-visit destination for seafood lovers. The place offers a prime location and a splendid atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a romantic anniversary celebration. My experience at the Rice Boat was nothing short of fantastic, from the specially prepared table to the delicious soup, starters, main course, and desserts. The highlight of the evening was the beautifully presented and delicious cake, which was a surprise ending to an already perfect meal. I would highly recommend the Rice Boat to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a delicious meal in a wonderful scenic setting." A special thanks goes to the Service team who did a Splendid job.
