Seccheto in 1 day

If you only have 1 day to spend in Seccheto, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Seccheto is a small seaside village on the south coast of Elba Island, known for its sandy beach framed by clear turquoise water and smooth granite rocks. The surrounding coastline offers good swimming and snorkeling, with nearby beaches like Cavoli and Fetovaia easily reached by car or local bus. Inland, granite hills and trails lead toward the Monte Capanne area, appealing to walkers and hikers. With limited development compared to larger resorts, Seccheto tends to have a quieter, more laid-back atmosphere.
With favorites like Spiaggia delle Piscine, Osteria Del Nonno, and Spiaggia di Seccheto (li), we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Osteria Del Nonno and L'isolano so you can get the best taste of Seccheto while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Beach
Spiaggia di Seccheto is a hidden gem on the stunning island of Elba, located along the picturesque Costa del Sole between Cavoli and Fetovaia. This serene beach is perfect for families looking to unwind in a peaceful environment. Nestled near the charming village of Seccheto, visitors can enjoy convenient amenities such as mini markets, restaurants, and even a pharmacy. The beach itself features beautiful sand complemented by rocky surroundings that create an inviting atmosphere.
One of my favourites in elba. Not only because of the beautiful beach but more on the gentleman's in on of the little shops where they sell pienza formaggio taste like heaven. A little adventure here that I lost my apartment key (chiave) on the beach and found it early next morning sticking up just 1.5 cm. Which feeling: grazie🤝

Would be lovely if only it was free from all the seaweed on the shore and floating all over in the sea in the bay. People were still using the beach and sea but it was not many. Going to the right of the beach towards Hitel Stella quite a number of sea ur hubs in the sea so if you want to explore or snorkel amongst the rocks probably best to wear sea shoes. Cavoli bay was a much better option if you want clean sand clear sea to swim in. and Beach bar was not open (Thursday 8 May 2025) either. The others, a pizza place, bistro and snack place/bread/bar in town were all open though and really good.

Nice, small village beach, free parking nearby, which is not common. The beach is close to the parking lots. Sand on the beach and rocks around are beautiful. The issue is that there is plenty of stones in the water. Means that this beach is not for small kids. My boys (10,13) enjoyed it a lot, but they are good swimmers. The water is, thanks to the stones, ideal for snorkeling, full of live, interesting profile. You can even jump to the sea from one spot without fear, but of course, first check the actual situation, which changes due to tides. So not easy to get to the sea, shoes don't help much, the trick is to start swimming immediately. But I definitely recommend it in case you are fan of snorkeling and good swimmer. As always, interesting look, rocks, life in the see can not be at the same time easy.

Very cool beach in the region, shade from the stones on the edge, middle sized sand, some fish on the sides but nothing extraordinary. Kid friendly
Pascal B — Google review
Nice and clean beach. The water is very clear.
Lara G — Google review
This beach may look attractive from the first sight, but be aware of the stones in water. Stepping in and out of the water may become a dangerous affair. Especially if you're taking kids to swim...

Great nice small beach with a beach bar with good coffee and sandwich!! take your own sunbrella as the sunbumbrella + 2 beds cost 20 euros. Great small village!
Juliana G — Google review
Seccheto is an excellent little spot. Very small but has all that you need, a pharmacy, two mini markets, a shop where you can find almost anything, 4 restaurants, a bar and gelateria. The beach is quite cosy and we'll kept.

Spiaggia delle Piscine, also known as the "swimming pools" by locals, is a stunning coastal area featuring smooth granite slabs with natural sea water pools created by the waves. This spot is popular for sunbathing and diving, although reaching it involves navigating a steep and somewhat slippery path. The landscape is beautiful, with the natural pools offering a mild challenge to access due to scattered boulders.
Probably my favorite spot during our trip in Elba. Not many here, only locals. Such a pleasant cozy calm place where you can swim and snorkel. This is a hidden gem for sure
Anton — Google review
Beautiful landscape with the pools. Mild challenge getting down with the boulders.

Beautiful swimming spot though the path down is steep, slippery, and not well maintained.

Delicious pizza, good variety and a fine crust. Service was excellent and we enjoyed a local beer from Elba which complimented the pizza perfectly

The pizzas and crema catalan were amazing. We couldn't go the first time as it is extremely crowded in the evening, even for take away it takes 45 minutes. Reservation is a must.

Summary: Best restaurant in Seccheto with good food, okay prices and very kind staff. Remember to call and book a table during the day. I went there twice. Food: I ate pizza both times. It was very good and cost around 7,50€. When my partner also ordered pizza we got them at the same time, but when she ordered meat she had to wait 5 extra minutes before getting her food. She said that her meat tasted alright. We ordered house red both times. It was served very cold, around 10 degrees, which caused it to lose flavor. When the wine got a bit warmer it tasted good for its price of 6.50€ for 0,5 liters. Service: The staff were super kind and friendly. However, there is too few waiters there, which leads to them being stressed and some minor mistakes to happen. First time we had to wait a bit before getting the menu and we only got one. We also had to ask for the bread before getting it. Second time we had to ask twice to pay and did not get any bread while waiting for the food. I also saw that the other tables had to wait a while to get service from the waiters due the lack of waiters.

Ideal stop on navigating the circumference of Elba. Spaghetti al Vongole was as good as it gets, and partners pizza was great. More Roman type pizza and the dough was very good. Great place to eat in one of the more charming small towns on elba, with less tourist packed beach.

Nestled within the Hotel Stella, this restaurant boasts a stunning terrace with breathtaking sea views, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The menu features an array of rich and flavorful dishes, including delightful pasta with sardines and exquisite swordfish rolls. Chef Giuseppe's culinary expertise shines through in every bite, while the attentive staff ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Great restaurant with super food and a very nice location! The young waitress and the two waiters were extremely friendly and attentive from start to finish! It's a little more expensive than the other restaurants in the area, but still worth it. 100% recommended - thanks to the whole team!

I was in Elba for 5 days, dined here 3 times because of how good it was on quality and service. Highly recommended and would come back in a heartbeat

(Translated by Google) It is the restaurant of the Hotel Stella. The owner, having Sicilian origins, was looking for a chef from her area and with great pleasure you can taste the flavors of Sicily. The dishes are rich and abundant. The quality is top notch. The variant of pasta with sardines seemed to me to have Palermo influences since it was made with tomato. The swordfish rolls and caponata are excellent. Will come back to taste the rest...

(Translated by Google) We went there for dinner four times to try out the menu. Our conclusion is: simply excellent. The terrace with a view of the sea is enchantingly beautiful and invites you to relax. The service is exemplary and very professional and leaves nothing to be desired. Our dog was given water without being asked. The food was very tasty and the portion sizes were just right. The wine list is well thought out and the prices are reasonable. We can only recommend a visit there to everyone.
