Visiting the Vasa Museum was, without question, one of the absolute highlights of our time in Stockholm. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the breathtaking sight of the nearly fully intact 17th-century warship that gives the museum its name. Photos honestly don’t do it justice — the size, craftsmanship, and sheer presence of the Vasa are overwhelming in the best way. It’s one of the most incredible old-world ships I’ve ever seen, both in scale and in the intricacy of the carvings and details that have been so remarkably preserved.
What really adds to the experience is the storytelling. There’s an almost cinematic quality to learning that the ship — after all the effort and grandeur that went into building it — sank on its maiden voyage just minutes after setting sail. That “spoiler” moment doesn’t diminish the tour; if anything, it makes the rest of the exhibits even more compelling. The museum does a fantastic job of unpacking the engineering flaws, the historical context, and the recovery efforts in ways that keep both casual visitors and history buffs hooked.
One of the best surprises was the basement level. Unlike the ornate upper floors, it has a more relaxed, less crowded feel, with fascinating displays about the preservation process and everyday life on the ship. If you visit Stockholm, this is a non-negotiable must-see. Plan to give yourself at least two hours to really take it all in.

The Vasa Museum is an incredible place to learn about the famous Vasa ship. Before exploring the exhibits, there is a video introduction available in multiple languages that explains the entire Vasa ship story. This is a must-watch—it really helps you understand the historical context and the fascinating circumstances around the ship’s construction and sinking. The museum itself is well-organized, and the displays provide plenty of insight into 17th-century naval life. A highly recommended visit for anyone interested in history or maritime stories!

The details preserved under water is amazing.
Plan to spend at least two hours here. Preferably more. Unique, one of a kind experience. Especially for history lovers, like me. Tickets could be purchased at the entrance with minimal waiting time (1-5 minutes). They keep temperature low inside to preserve wooden structures of the ship. So, bring something warm with you to wear as an extra layer.
A fascinating half day, with all the different multimedia and explanatory fixed displays to keep everyone happy. The story of the ship is almost as impressive as the ship and the ship is immensely impressive. Well worth a visit for the wreck alone, but with the history and the preservation and restoration work an absolute must for the Stockholm visitor
The vasa museum is well worth the entrance fee , get here early it can get busy. The vasa was a ship that sunk on its maiden voyage and was pulled from the mud in the 1960s almost fully in tact. The 7 floors give a full insight into the ship, the background to its building, sinking and raising. It has about 7 floors and you can see the amazing ship from a multiple angles. There are lifts to all the floors, a great resturaunt and shop. If I could give this place a 100 stars it wouldn't be enough
If there is one museum you visit in Stockholm make it this one! There is so much to see, read and interact with for young and old - a 2+ hour visit will quickly fly by. An informative documentary runs every 20 mins in multiple languages which provides a good introduction to the Vasa Warship story. Guided tours provide even more information. Plenty to do for kids, with multiple levels to view the warship that are all accessible via elevators.
Enjoyed a great guided tour from Annika and then the film around the restoration after 1961.
What a crazy ship built so high and narrow. Would recommend a visit.
Needs around 1.5 to 2 hours to appreciate the ships beauty!

Wow— this museum was one of the best museums I’ve been to in such a long time! It was so informative and taught the visitors about Nordic history in a story telling fashion. I loved this museum so much. Nordic history was totally new to me, so I’m glad I made the trip! If you make it to Stockholm, make sure to add this to your list.

The Nordic Museum was a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit while in Stockholm. It offers a deep and well-curated look into Nordic life, traditions, and social evolution from the 1500s to modern times. The exhibitions cover a wide range of topics—everything from clothing and design to domestic life, customs, and societal roles throughout the centuries.
One of the highlights was seeing how everyday life evolved over the centuries, including changing fashion trends, rural vs. urban lifestyles, and even how homes were furnished in different eras. The recreated 1940s flat and the children’s playhouse offered a unique glimpse into family life at that time.
The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the rather unwelcoming attitude of the front desk lady. For someone in such a central and public-facing position, a smile and a friendly greeting go a long way—especially in a museum that attracts visitors from around the world. It set a poor tone at the beginning of the visit, which is unfortunate given how strong the rest of the experience was.
Overall, I highly recommend the Nordic Museum to anyone interested in understanding Sweden’s rich cultural and historical landscape. It’s informative, immersive, and a great way to spend a few hours in Stockholm.
The museum is very well maintained and offers several different sections inside. Both the interior and exterior are stunning, perfectly reflecting Nordic style and atmosphere. Some exhibitions were truly engaging and strongly connected to Nordic traditions. However, I didn’t really understand the choice of including the ‘Britain’ exhibition, which felt a bit out of place.

Really cool museum that gives an overall, high-level introduction to Scandinavia through the ages and different seasons. You learn a lot about people and the countries, while also seeing objects from the different time periods. The audio guide was cool & the app easy to install, so bring headphones. There were also multimedia displays to understand and learn more. The additional exhibits were cool, especially the one on exploring the arctic. There is a large souvenir stores with high-quality, locally-made products. The restaurant is great as well, you can have a variety of snacks and also a complete dish. We found a couple of vegan options as well.

The palace offers a glimpse into history and culture through its opulent Royal Apartments, Treasury, and Royal Chapel.
The Royal Palace is an absolute must-see in Stockholm. The state rooms are jaw-dropping — every ceiling, wall, and piece of furniture is so ornate and over the top, it’s like walking through a living piece of history. But the real surprise is the basement. It has a completely different vibe — less formal, more immersive — and might actually be the most interesting part of the entire tour. You get a closer look at artifacts, the palace’s foundation, and stories that feel more personal than grand.
If you have limited time, don’t skip the lower levels. It’s the perfect contrast to the splendor upstairs and gives a fuller picture of the palace’s history.

I took a guided tour and it was very good! The history and original decor was beautiful! There is no natural light in many rooms as to protect the artwork, so it was a little difficult to get quality photos and see some of the fine detail. The tour was not too long, but the chapel in a separate section of the main entrance was amazing and free to enter!
We didn’t have time to buy tickets for entry, but there is a small gift shop that you can visit without entering the palace. The items there make for lovely souvenirs, and the prices are very reasonable. The quality of the products is quite good, making it a worthwhile stop even if you can’t go inside the palace itself
If you’re somewhat interested in the royals or want to spend money, go for it. Otherwise I don’t believe it’s totally worth it. It’s just lots of mirrors and some artwork. Building was beautiful tho and staff seemed nice enough.
Pretty expensive... But definitely worth the money if you enjoy history. We missed the noon guard change too so somehow try to make it, as it's something that will enhance the experience. It's interesting to visit the museum and be sure to occasionally look up at the ceiling for some beautiful designs. The palace was also pretty good and child-friendly :) gamla stan itself is a good place, tbh
Very nice to visit. You can see how the Swedish Royal would look like inside. Most of the area is blocked but there are enough for you to go and see. We didn't even have time/energy to visit the armory after 1 hours.
Unless you want a guided tour or it is a special holiday the queue, there is no need to buy the ticket as there was no queue for us.
Keep the ticket if you want to use the WC. The WC is outside in the into building and it need you to scan the ticket (or pay a few dollar).
Stroller parking is a bit far away. The palace does not allow baby stroller inside and since there are a lot of walking and stairs, i would not recommend go there with a baby.
A must-visit in Stockholm! 🇸🇪 The Royal Palace is stunning—both in its architecture and historical richness. The guided tours are informative and give a deep insight into Sweden’s royal heritage. Don’t miss the Changing of the Guard ceremony—it’s a highlight! The treasury and royal apartments are beautifully preserved. Worth every minute, especially if you’re into history and culture.
Nice to see the actual items and rooms that the Royal Family have used. The guard changing ceremony was also very nice. It was about 40 minutes long with a lot of live band music from the marching band. Overall great experience at the royal palace

Chokladkoppen is a popular spot located in the heart of Gamla stan, right by Stortorget. Locals love to visit this cafe to savor large bowls of hot chocolate while sitting in wicker chairs and watching people go about their day on the square. Next door, there's the Dungeon cafe, also known as Kaffekoppen, with its metal spiral staircases leading down to candlelit cellars adorned with old wooden furnishings and brass chandeliers.
Delightful little place to rest and have a bite in the middle of a busy day of sightseeing. The soup of the day was fabulous. The the bread, delicious.

My family and I came here and got seated outside. There is a decent amount of seating but the tables are so close to each other that you really can’t move. Our server was also expressionless and didn’t smile a single time…
Got the hot chocolate and it was very good! It was nice and creamy and looked very visually appetizing. However, it’s not that sweet so be aware of that when you order this!

I had fika here when i lived in Stockholm around 2018. This is one of iconic place to visit when you go to Stockholm. I bought kannelbullar (cinnamon roll) and prince tartta (one of traditional cake from Sweden) and drank hot chocolate. Overall we pay for best quality foods and drinks here. I personally happy had fika here or just relaxing alone. Please try!

Very good place to sit and enjoy Gamla!!! Fika good desserts amazing, not a lot of variety on salad food and drinks. But overall very good and the waitress with the sweet voice super super nice!!!!

Pharmarium, situated in the heart of Old Town (Gamla stan) and overlooking Stortorget and the Nobel Museum, is a cozy bar that pays homage to its history as the city's first pharmacy. The interior is adorned with wooden medicine cabinets and a copper-lined bar topped with glass chemical jars, creating an intimate atmosphere illuminated by burning candles.
Pharmarium is hands down one of the most memorable cocktail bars I’ve visited-not just in Stockholm, but anywhere. Located in the historic Stortorget square in Gamla Stan, the bar feels like stepping into an old apothecary from another era, with dark wood, candlelight, and shelves of mysterious bottles setting the mood.
The drinks are creative, bold, and beautifully presented. Each cocktail has a story behind it, often inspired by old medicinal remedies, and the bartenders clearly take pride in their craft. I tried the "Elixir of Life," which came with a tiny dropper bottle of spiced essence-it was unlike anything I’ve had before.
The service was excellent: friendly, knowledgeable staff who were happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, perfect for a date or a special evening with friends.
If you’re looking for a cocktail experience that blends history, flavor, and a bit of theater, Pharmarium is a must-visit in Stockholm.

Beautifully crafted drinks, definitely not basic. Unique ingredients, unusual combinations. But all very tasty. Also got a few snacks for the table, those were good as well. Be aware prices are particularly high, not a place you’d go to get drunk if you’re budget conscious.
Staff all seemed well briefed on the menu items and could help guide our decisions. They were attentive and easy enough to flag down.
Atmosphere is great, cozy and classy. Feels a bit like stepping back in time. Not too loud even when it’s busy, you can carry a conversation without yelling. We were a party of 5 at their large round table, and everyone could hear everyone. It’s best to make a reservation before hand, especially if you are more than 2-3 people.
Pharmarium is located right across from the Nobel Prize Museum, which makes it the perfect blend of culture and cocktails. We initially planned to stop for just one drink… but the cozy atmosphere, heated terrace, and incredibly crafted cocktails quickly convinced us to stay longer. Each drink was a surprise in the best way—creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A truly memorable spot with great vibes and top-notch service. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and drop by; you won’t regret it!

Quirky, fun, and delicious cocktail bar! I almost wish it was more hidden as it has all the vibes of speakeasy while not being one. My favorite was the coffee drink, but honestly they were all the same and the staff will tell you all about all the drinks if you are lucky enough to be at the bar
A friend recommended this place and I decided to swing by for a cocktail. Man, this place did not disappoint. The service was great, and they answered my questions as I tried to figure out what to order. I ended up with the Oshun’s Nectar a rum-based drink. I was impressed with the levels of flavors in this drink, especially with the pineapple foam on top (there’s a nice tartness from the foam that balances with the sweeter elements and the earthy hint in the rum). I look forward to coming back during my next trip to Stockholm.

Been to Punk royal few years ago, i can see some DNA from it. Coco takes the Interesting concept with a relatively friendly price. If you not pairing food with wine.
We experienced a good service but felt something was off before we started the desserts, finished the meal very fast and sped home for the restroom. We suspect the raw beef or berry drinks they brewed in-house. First time being like this after this level fine dining
This place was a comedy of errors. I notified restaurant staff I was pregnant and not eating raw food, yet somehow “cured salmon” and “fish roe” didn’t set off any alarms in the kitchen. It took three tries before I finally got a plate that wasn’t trying to sabotage me. Service was equally chaotic—servers flinging down plates like they were auditioning for a frisbee team and whisking dishes away before we’d even put our forks down. The dining room was basically a sauna with candles, which might be romantic if you enjoy sweating through dinner. And the food… Salt is not a personality. The bread and butter were the stars of the meal—which says everything, because I can nail that combo at home every single day.
One of the best experiences I ever had, Michelin star level with a hipster-fun vibe.
We went for dinner and the menu was around 11 small dishes, the wine choice by the sumiller was excellent. We have lots of fun and definitely recommend it.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Skansen, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Kungsträdgården. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

This ws my first open air museum experience.
I loved it. There were even people role playing from the era they belonged.
The historical walk was an amazing experience. Although all the places wete not open, I could still get to experience few of the attractions. I personally was amazed by the glass making workshop.
The zoo on the other side was also a fun experience.
The ticket also included access to the match museum.
It was worth the money and time. I ended up spending 3+ hours, yet I could not go to all the spots.
Children's would love this place no doubt. During summer, this is the best place to come along with family.

Beautiful, huge open air museum for young and old! We enjoyed the old buildings that have been transplanted here to show Sweden’s history. Lots of live animals there as well with great exhibits. Highly recommend! You can buy tickets online-even at the gate buy online bc it’s cheaper and there is wifi.
We had a great time at Skansen. The old houses and farm buildings were fascinating to walk through – each one comes from a different part of Sweden, so you really get a feel for how people lived in the past. Seeing the Nordic animals was another highlight for us; lynx, wolverines, bears, and moose all in one place is pretty special.
We visited as two adults, but it’s easy to see how much fun this would be for my kids too, with the animals, open-air history, and hands-on activities. There are also cafés and nice spots to take a break, so you can easily spend most of the day here.

It was one of the best places I have ever been to. We booked the “Morning with animals” experience and it was one of the most interesting things I’ve ever done. The tour guide (shoutout to Martin) was absolutely dedicated to being as helpful as possible and explained everything in perfect English. As for the park, we got to see a lot of local animals and it was magical. The buildings are also stunning and incredibly beautiful, making you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. Would visit every weekend if it were possible.
This is a really cool place. The amount of things to look at are crazy. You are probably better off spending a few days there so you can see it all. They have special talks in English and swedish about the animals they have there. The talks are on different days so you should look in advance to see what they are talking about that day and in which language. Some of the things to see there are really old and well preserved. The animals are really well taken care of. Also they have a grilling area you can bring your own food and grill there.
Who knew there were so much to do and see. They had so much land to walk and explore the building. A lot of animals with a smaller aquarium. You could easily spend a full day exploring. Not to mention the view of the city.
Skansen is like a mix of an open-air museum, zoo, and park — and it’s beautiful. You can wander through old Swedish houses and farms, see Nordic animals like moose and bears, and grab fika with a great view of Stockholm. It’s super family-friendly but also relaxing for adults. Go on a sunny day and take your time there’s so much to see. Definitely one of the must-visit spots in Stockholm!

One of the BEST museums I’ve ever been to! It could be because I am an ABBA fan and so is my family, but another big reason is that the museum has so many FUN INTERACTIVE elements that there’s no way you ain’t gonna enjoy once you enter. From dancing, singing, designing your own costume, to playing the musical chess, I think this museum is just one of its kind and a MUST MUST MUST visit when in Stockholm!
So much fun!!! Small tip do not get there super early. If your ticket is for 11am they will not let you in the line until 10:50.

Very interactive, and the stories told by the band members really give an insightful point of view as seen from their end, a side the public and the fans rarely see.
Awesome experience with an audioguide (using your own smartphone, bring earphones) to tell the story of how the band formed, their inspiration, composition process, and more. There was also a fun, interactive part to sing with the songs from ABBA in a mini studio, a show to perform side by side with them, and a nice bar and restaurant in the entrance. I’d like to have seen more options to purchase in the shop.

There’s always some kind of event happening here in every season. In spring, you can see the most beautiful cherry blossoms in the city. In summer, you can sit back and relax by the fountain in the warm weather, and enjoy all the lively summer concerts hosted here. During winter, there’s a short but charming Christmas market and a large ice skating rink where you can skate to your heart’s content.

Amazing experience at this Michelin Star restaurant. Absolutely a recommended activity especially if you do the whole private dining experience with a group. This is my second time visiting Max Restaurant, and I must say, the quality is consistently impressive. My first experience was at a different location, and now, having tried this particular branch, I can confidently say the standards are just as high. This is a (visually) hidden gem.
It has a spectacular view and an impressively tasteful array of options. I visited around 4 with a humble amount of people but once it hit about 6 the place got slammed with huge groups coming for dinner. Definitely recommend for singles, couples, families, and friends!

Amazing food (ALL VEGAN! 🙌🏼), amazing vibe, abundant options. It’s not cheap (cost ~$85 CDN for two people, without dessert), but you can try everything and eat as much as you want. Coffee and tea are included, but dessert costs extra. (Good luck having room for dessert, but if you do, it’s just as delicious as everything else!).
Amazing deal, all you can eat delicious vegan food with free tea, coffee, or water, and an incredible view of the city. Staff were incredibly friends and personable, had a great time. Went out on a limb and bought the walnut parsnip cake for dessert, got some free vanilla cream on the side. Transcendant.
This is a fantastic spot for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, the food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet, so you’ll find a wide variety of greens, salads, and hearty vegetarian dishes that are more than enough to fill you up.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and that might be the best part because you get an amazing view of Gamla Stan and Djurgården while you eat. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy your meal and company with a scenic backdrop.
If you’re a student, be sure to bring your student ID for a significant discount.
The food was actually much better than I remembered from a few years ago, and of course the view was fabulous as ever.
The vegan buffet offered a big variety of foods, from cold to warm, stew to grill. As a buffet, the quality was definitely worth the price. All the pickles and sauces tasted homemade. The lasagna was creamy but not heavy, the coconut curry was flavorful, the salads were fresh. My favorite was the grilled tofu, the marination got properly into the tofu, and offered the slightly burnt aroma from the grill.
Very often i visit Hermans when friends are visiting and everyone is amazed by the view and the quality of the food. This is a vegan, buffet style restaurant with grill during the summer. One can feel the quality of the ingredients and everything i've tasted till now is delicious. The outside area is like a garden, offering a spectacular view to Djurgården and Gamla Stan. They are brewing their own beer which is pretty good. They are not serving though alcohol above 3,5%, so one can't enjoy a glass of wine in the sun. It can get quite busy after 18pm with a queue in the counter and buffet. A bit expensive in the summer cause of the grill, i would prefer if they had a less expensive option without the. grill but the food is worth the price. Highly Recommended, i am going to visit again despite not being vegan!

The restrooms are surprisingly upscale and spotless, adding to the overall polished feel of the place. I recently visited this mall, and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The parking isn’t free, which is something to keep in mind, but it’s very spacious and well-organized, so finding a spot wasn’t a problem at all. The moment I entered, I was truly impressed by how beautifully designed and modern the entire mall is. It’s not just another shopping center — it feels like a lifestyle destination.
Having lived in Dubai for several years, I’ve seen some of the world’s largest and most luxurious malls, known for their vibrant atmosphere, elegant design, and world-class facilities. This mall, surprisingly, gave me that very same feeling — the grandness, the cleanliness, and the energy all reminded me of Dubai’s shopping culture. It’s rare to find a place in Scandinavia that offers such a unique, lively, and colorful vibe.
The layout is very spacious, with a great selection of outlets offering everything from luxury brands to casual stores. The lighting, interior décor, and seating areas make it a pleasant place to spend time, even if you’re not shopping. There’s also a lovely play area for children, which makes it a perfect destination for families. My kids absolutely loved it!
I visited on a weekday, and the mall still felt lively and active, so I can only imagine how vibrant it gets on weekends. The ongoing campaigns and offers made the experience even more exciting, and the staff at most stores were friendly and helpful.
The only thing that felt a bit disappointing was that the toilets weren’t free. For such a beautifully designed mall, that’s something I hope they improve in the future.
Overall, this is one of the best malls I’ve visited in Scandinavia. If you’re ever in Stockholm, I highly recommend visiting — it’s clean, vibrant, and gives you a small taste of Dubai right here in Sweden. 🌟
A really nice mall, very clean and well taken care of. Plenty of high street shops, restaurants, supermarkets, coffee and ice cream shops. The toilets are clean and well maintained. They have a dedicated uber waiting area for pick up and drop off on the ground floor which is really nice.

Only thing I didn't like about this place is that I couldn't find the Tom Ford Oud Wood perfume and makeup I was looking to buy at Åhlens even though they stated on their website that it was available to buy physically at the store!
Huge mall with a lot of different stores and restaurants. There’s a lot of options from high end to affordable and even an IKEA. It’s a nice place to walk around and shop or even just to window shop. It has a couple bus stops nearby making it easy to get back to the city center.
Very large and modern mall ,with many shops and restaurants with great food and good offers .There you can find any thing you like ❤️ from Ikea and a car store ,Apple store and Rituals..I love it ,it’s so entertaining to shop there..
A very very nice mall with all kinds of store. It has barbar shop, IKEA, ICA, Tesla, Apple, apparel shops, food court with different cuisine etc. Restroom of the mall is quite impressive too. Next to it is the kids play area and stroller station too. Mall is big and spacious and stores are big too. I wish the popular stores had separate dressing rooms for both genders. During peak hours it gets very crowded and the line gets longer. Very frustrating at some point. Mall is next to the Solna station which makes it easy to commute since it is very far away from central Stockholm. Maybe that is how they handle the crowd.
I used to go here by train, though I mostly get here with car nowdays.
I'd say I personally think this is a pretty nice place (just my opinion, would vary depending on the person you ask), alot of stores around the place such as resturants, clothing stores, cafes, like toy stores? a cinema and more.
I always get boba from hello boba each time I come here and it's so good (the one that was closer to my house shut down so I only get the opportunity to buy it from here.)
It is a big mall so it could be hard to locate certain things but I got used to it pretty quickly. Love it here!

Hagaparken is a stunning and expansive park situated on the picturesque western shore of Brunnsviken, just north of Stockholm's bustling city center. This enchanting landscape garden showcases a blend of lush lawns, serene woodlands, and open spaces adorned with remarkable architectural features. Among these are the Echo Temple, a charming Chinese pavilion, and an intriguing Turkish kiosk—all commissioned by King Gustav III during his reign.
Such a nice and extensive park with many different paths, gates, beaches, monuments. If you want access to nature while being in Stockholm, look no further. Lots of people exercising, reading on the grass. Very good atmosphere.

Amazing place for a morning walk!
I came here around 8:15 on a Saturday and it's a pleasant place to for a nice walk looking at the lake, buildings around it. The path is also wide and you can see many people jogging. There is also a free toilet (well maintained) ! I went out around 11:15 or so to grab my lunch.
Overall a beautiful place for a 2-3hr relaxation. And, when it's sunny, its even more worthwhile !
A central city park,well maintaned, it is a fantastic oasis/escape, amazing scenery, and very peaceful. It boasts a butterfly museum and art installation, water inlet (its not actually a lake) and even has a small beach.
Amenities include paid parking, toilets and at least 2 cafes.
Cafes however, are a little overpriced, so could be an idea to bring a picknic/drinks. Parking by yet another of Stockholms multiple parking apps (I wished there was just 1).
A very cosy and popular park amongst Stockholmers and visitors alike, for walks/strolls/jogging and is free and open all year around.
What a beautiful park this is! In summer, it's lush and green all around—an ideal spot for picnics and spending quality time with friends or family. This is actually my second visit; the first time was in winter when the trees looked quite lifeless. Seeing the seasonal transformation has been amazing. I haven’t explored the aquarium yet—I’ve deliberately saved it for a future visit, giving myself a reason to return again and again.
Wow, we enjoyed it.. One nice walk around the park. We visited the aquarium and garden, drank coffee and ate cake. It was a great, wonderful afternoon. We recommend it.

Hagaparken is one of the nicest parks in Stockholm — perfect for a relaxing walk, picnic, or jog by the water. There’s plenty of green space, impressive historic buildings, and peaceful views around Brunnsviken. Great for families, couples, or solo visitors.
🍽️ We also enjoyed a nice meal at the nearby Haga Forum restaurant, which had a cozy atmosphere and good food (check if it’s open, as it sometimes closes seasonally).
Highly recommended if you’re in Solna or just want a peaceful escape from the city!

A very interesting museum which totally explains to you that what you see is not always what it is. A lot of interesting exhibits and interactives which you can experience and take photos or videos. Recommended going there at least 2 person as some exhibits you need at least two person to make a paradox theme photo, in case you're going there alone, which that's what I did, you could always ask the staff there to take the photo with you. Staffs are friendly and helpful there.

I had high expectations for the place based on the advertising I saw before the visit. Some of the illusions, especially the different rooms, were fun. Some were already familiar, some I didn't get at all. Zero Gravity was a disappointment, a spinning padded tube. You should have been an acrobat to get the right effect.
Good fun and well run. Definitely a bit gimicky and very crowded so felt a bit claustrophobic and we had to really tame our kids to prevent them from butting into others’ photos and not run into other people etc. It’s a worth a visit for some fun and really interesting and shareable photos. Just not 5 star or anything particularly local or extraordinary in my opinion.

The museum's was very interesting. The exhibits were a fun and exciting experience. Furthermore, the staff members Adam, Matilda & hannah were incredibly helpful and provided insightful information. Their friendly demeanor made the visit even more enjoyable and memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I would happily recommend.

What a amazing cool place to check out in Stockholm. Recommended, good tip is to be, there at opening time as it quickly gets crowded. Expect at least one hour on this.

Great food hall in central Stockholm. Sushi, Ramen, Italien, confectionary or desert on the main floor all very good. Downstairs an Aladdin's cave of tasty morsels from distant and near shores. Recommend trying lunch here, also the dried fruit, nuts and herb stall.
Went inside to find the fried herring in one of the restaurant inside the establishment. And i love what im looking when entering the building. So many food stalls selling so many interesting things. Really would go there again to try so many food options there.

Frantzén – a theatrical masterpiece where the food is only half the story
Dining at Frantzén is less like going to a restaurant and more like attending a carefully choreographed performance. From the very beginning, the experience is layered with atmosphere, anticipation, and just the right amount of drama.
You’re welcomed in a dimly lit lounge with a bit of casual small talk, then escorted — alone — through a moody corridor and into a lift that feels more like a portal than a convenience. Upstairs, things shift: you’re greeted more formally, offered an aperitif, and invited to preview the day’s ingredients — a beautifully arranged display that blurs the line between market stall and still-life painting.
What follows is, quite literally, the show. Guests are seated around the open kitchen in a wide semi-circle, and the chefs — artists, really — take center stage. It’s immersive, elegant, and executed with military precision and genuine warmth.
The food? Impeccably crafted. Balanced, beautiful, technically flawless.
Though, I’ll admit — on a purely flavor level, I personally found dishes at AIRA and Maaemo slightly more to my taste. That said, Frantzén isn’t just about taste — it’s about total immersion. And on that front, they deliver an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Oh, and one more thing: this may be the only fine dining establishment where I was actually able to ask for a proper demi-sec or doux Champagne — not just brut, brut, brut, or brut. Respect
Fantastic experience at Frantzen. I had been to the sister restaurant Zen in Singapore several years prior and the concept there was quite similar, with the focus being on creating an interactive dining experience. One of our favourite parts about Frantzen was being shown the prep kitchen (which was absolutely spotless!), and the interaction with staff which reflected their pride in working for this institution. It is also clear that Frantzen puts effort into developing their people (all servers are certified sommeliers), and the knowledge and pride that every individual put into their craft made the dining experience so much more wholesome.
Food-wise, the taste was a bit salty for my palette, but there were standout dishes like the crayfish and the French toast. Ambience-wise, it was a lot more relaxed than other Michelin restaurants I’ve visited. This being said, servers were attentive to diners’ needs - my husband and I joked that two seconds after we’d leave the table to visit the washroom, someone would come by and push our chairs in/ provide a fresh napkin. Frantzen manages to achieve a high level of attention to detail while ensuring that the atmosphere is natural and not stilted.
What left the most lasting impression - and something that I’ve never experienced at Michelin restaurants prior - was the feeling of generosity that Frantzen left us with. For instance, they topped up my husband’s champagne and my drinks without charging for extra glasses, they had a dish which they paired with drinks in the menu, and they topped up our dessert / coffee. This left us with a feeling of abundance, and given the premium price that one pays for such experiences, made us feel that every kronor spent there was worth it.
Kudos to the team at Frantzen for seamless execution, and we hope to be back in the future.
Our meal at Frantzén was absolutely amazing. When we entered the building, we were greeted by staff in the lobby who are very friendly. They were happy to talk with us for a few minutes before our journey began. Once we were ready to start, the staff showed us to an elevator that took us up to the top floor of the restaurant, the lounge. Here you will be seated for appetizers and optional drinks. The food here was exceptional. After we were finished in the lounge, we were led downstairs where we were shown areas like the prep kitchen and wine cellar. Now we were taken to our seats in the main dining room, which is where the food is given final preparations in front of you. Every single dish was outstanding, but there were standout dishes. These dishes include langoustine; onion, liquorice & almond; and quail “bbq”. It is truly hard to describe how incredible each of the dishes served in this room was. The drink pairings were amazing also, with each drink complementing its dish so well. The level of service here, and the whole experience, was astonishing. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. They will personally talk to you about each dish that is served. Once we were finished in the dining room, we were led back upstairs to the lounge after greeted farewell by everyone in the dining room, which was really nice. Once back in the lounge, we were served fresh baked madeleines from the oven along with a stacked spiral assortment of sweets. After we were finished in the lounge, we were once again greeted farewell, but by the staff in the lounge this time. We were then taken down the elevator back to the lobby, where we grabbed any coats and bags that we handed the staff before we started our meal, before being greeted farewell one last time by the staff in the lobby. Overall, this meal of Frantzén was the best meal I have had in my life, and to say it was exceptional would be an understatement. The level of service and attention to detail were phenomenal. The whole experience is truly indescribable. It was an extraordinary experience.
Ridiculously good, best food experience ever.
The service was beyond anything previously, and I've never experienced food and drink pairings remotely close to this before, mind blown.
For info, as we struggled finding it before our visit:
Wine pairings are available in 2 levels at roughly 2900 and 6500 Sek, there is also a mixed wine and non alcoholic pairing as well as a non alcoholic pairing. The non alcoholic pairings are also incredible.(we did the lower tier wine pairing and the mixed pairing)
Expect the visit to last at least 4 hours.
Definitely my best food experience in my life, the mix flavors, the service, the atmosphere… all incredible, refined, outstanding.
The paired wine selection is also well harmonized, with right wines, and top quality

We were visiting Stockholm and only got in for dinner because we were on the waitlist and someone had cancelled. And boy, were we glad we could make it here!
Excellent dining experience from beginning to end, literally from the moment we walked in the door to the very end of the night.
Service was friendly and genuine.
Dinner was course after course of delightful bites! Highlights were the asparagus, the langoustine, the scallop, the turbot, and the duck!
Pre-dessert, dessert, and post-dessert were equally memorable.
Frantzen is definitely a splurge, it’s also an evening I look back upon fondly!

Fantastic atmosphere of a rustic kitchen, you can feel how people love what they’re doing. Great and attentive personnel which is super rare in this city. Menu is dynamic and creative, wine list almost fully French, but spectacular (though wines by the glass are few). Food is delicious, portions are so big, 4 dishes were too much for two people and we couldn’t fit dessert, unfortunately, so have to come back (with pleasure)!

Wonderful atmosphere. We happened to meet owner Joel Aronsson at an event held for Svenkst Tenn. one thing led to another and my wife and I were invited to Bord. You know right away from his grin that Joel loves what he does. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. You might think you know what you’re ordering, but something even better arrives! My favorite part of the night was the the langoustines dish, the most tender mellow flavors. The Monk fish was another highlight. Not to be left out, we shared the tarte tatin, apples from his fiancés mother’s garden, as well as the flowers that are in my photos. Definitely call ahead! Worth every minute, highly recommend.
We had an unforgettable dining experience at Bord. Not only was it the absolute highlight of our entire trip to Stockholm, but all three of us (from Frankfurt, Tokyo and Taiwan) agreed that this was hands down one of the best in recent memory. Bord was modern and hip, with friendly service, tasteful decor and stellar food! We can‘t wait to go back!
Because eating is an experience and because it has to be like when you visit your grandparents to have dinner and you want to help but you just watch enjoy and get to have the feeling of you can be hours there eating, laughing and enjoying every sense of it. Bord was booked for my first dinner in Stockholm. I was incredibly excited to kick start my time in Stockholm with a restaurant that was known to offer a great experience.
Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t what I expected. The food generally was tasty but some of the dishes lacked flavour. They weren’t always paired very well despite the waiter explaining that he will bring the dishes out in an order which compliments each other the best.
My biggest issue was the service. We were served our first dish and then the second dish didn’t come out to us for a very long time. It got a little awkward as we saw our neighbouring tables see 2 or even 3 dishes come out before our second did. The waiter did gently come over and explain that they’ve accidentally given our dishes to the table next to us and apologised. I appreciated the apology and I understand these things happen so wouldn’t really complain but the poor service continued.
When being served lobster, we noticed neighbouring tables were given wet wipes and we had to ask for ours which is just a little annoying when your hands are covered in the sauces from the lobster. Water was also given once prompted that it had finished and wasn’t automatically topped up. My alcoholic drink was removed from my table twice and I had to quickly stop the waiter and explain that I was still drinking it.
The atmosphere in the restaurant however was nice. There is unique and interesting items on the wall which strikes conversation. You find yourself looking around a lot and just finding yourself talking about all the funky pieces around the room.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but is not worth the price at all.

I absolutely love this hot dog kiosk! Definitely one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had in my life was from this place!
There’s a variety of sausages for hot dogs, and they all seem super delicious. I personally love to pick the Polish-style bratwurst (Polsk Bratwurst). For my hot dog, I always add ketchup and mayo. By the way, the mayo here is ranch-style flavored, and it’s very tasty! And of course - the bread!! A big part of what makes the hot dogs at this kiosk taste so incredible is the bread, which is always fresh, crispy, and delicious! The size of the hot dog is big enough to make you feel full. Once, I had just one and it was enough for my entire lunch.
The prices at this place are reasonable. My hot dogs usually cost around $13.
The only small downside of this business is the location. It’s a bit outside Stockholm city center, in a quiet residential area. I believe that mostly locals who live nearby know about this wonderful place. I personally discovered it while exploring Stockholm and randomly walking down the street where it’s located. Since then, I’ve been a big fan and always return to this kiosk when I come back to Stockholm!
Also, I need to mention that this business accepts Apple Pay, which is a big plus.
I highly recommend checking this place out and trying what they have. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your big sausage! =)

This is an iconic sausage stand in Stockholm selling a huge variety of korvs. When you order just tell Gunter what you want a step aside. He will call you when your order is ready and you pay then. We asked for the best seller and made it a double so we could share. He definitely has a system and we went early and the wait was pretty short. These korvs are made fresh to order so just be patient. Be aware that these are not a bargain and nothing like hot dog carts in NYC or a Bunnings sausage sizzle. These are gourmet and full of flavour. Our korv came to 115SEK. It was a super fun thing to do on a sunny summer morning. Highly recommended
Great Spot for Sausage Lovers
If you’re looking for pure, high-quality sausage, this is the place to go. They serve a wide variety of sausages from around the world, with the main focus on showcasing the flavor and quality of the meat itself. There are a few ingredients you can add on the side, but nothing that overshadows the star of the dish the sausage. So if you’re after creative or experimental combinations, this might not be the spot for you. But if you want a simple, delicious sausage done right, it’s definitely worth visiting.
The restaurant doesn’t have much seating, though you can easily take your meal to go and enjoy it somewhere around the city.
Fantastic little truck with affordable food options.. variety of sausages from allover the world, but beware they might sell out of specific ones. The Kabanoss seem to be the favourite of the locals, but take your pick. I had the double sausage (which the cabanossi cut into 2, with an addition of another sausage, Merguez) with the bread and all condiments, and it was superb! Take out place, so nowhere to sit though.
Visited 13.30 on a holiday. Waited for about 20-30 minutes. Only one person working that seemed stressed. Not the friendliest, but also kinda understandable.
Had a single kabanoss in bun with chimichurri, hot sauce and sauerkraut. Nice spiciness in the kabanoss and the chimichurri added complexity to the dish.

To be honest, we can't remember which type of wurst we got, but both was fantastic. Unfortunately, the menu is not in English and the person thats making the hotdog doesnt speak fluent English. So, we just pointed and said let's have this and this. And this and this had the to be one of the best hotdogs we've had! We were staying quite far from this hotdog stand but otherwise, we would come back everyday for it! I'm really sorry as I can't remember which hotdogs we got, but if you did what we did, what can go wrong? Also, when we arrived, the line was pretty long, but it moves, don't worry it's worth the wait.

Came in September and was amazing! Spent the whole day here and deffo worth it! Some really intense and fun rides! Loved the wooden coaster, Ikarus and Monster! If ever visit Sweden again come here! Love that its in the heart of the capital too and saw a concert! Live that some of the rides have videos! 💜

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon, most rides had a 20-30 minute wait to ride. Nice variety of rides, with plenty of different types of roller-coasters. We liked that it wasn't as commercialized as American parks.
A really fun amusement park, family friendly and very enjoyable. Book tickets in advance, this will help to avoid seasonal times. You also need 4+ hours to have lots of fun as the queue for rides can be quite long. Good for all ages
Gröna Lund is a charming theme park in the middle of Stockholm. It's easily accessible with public transport as there is a tram station right next to it, but you can also just walk here from the Train Station.
There is definitely a fine ride lineup, with two pretty strong coasters in Monster and Twister. The park really delivers in the flat ride department though, especially with 3 very different drop towers. Those and the Star Flyer will give you an amazing view of the City.
One thing I have to address unfortunately is the state of the park and the operations on the day of our visit. There are two rides here that are SBNO and will very likely never operate again. The Reverchon Superbob "Rock Jet" and the Schwarzkopf Steel Coaster "Jetline". They haven't been operating for a while and should really be removed. Especially Jetline is so well visible from eveywhere in the Park, and it really makes you want to ride it.
The operations on the attractions that were open were fine, but Bläckfisken was closed for the first half of the day. I was told it wouldn't open at all during the day but the park luckily managed to get it running later in the day. Insane was closed until the afternoon, and was then operating for about 10 Minutes. After that everyone that was queueing was told to leave the line and it never reopened that day.
I have to give a special shoutout to the crew of Twister on the evening of 16/08/2025. They were hyping the riders up quite a lot and let us ride multiple times in a row, giving us an experience reminiscent of ERT. Those last few rides were a lot of fun, thank you!
The attractions in this park have the best view of any park I've ever been, if you're not afraid of heights! It was a great experience for our trip, specially since is basically in the middle of the city. The rides are fun and there's plenty to do for an relatively small amusement park. Food and treats prices are quite fair, which isn't usually the case for parks.
The rides are great as always and overall Gröna Lund has a really well thought out design and decoration for Halloween with extra haunted houses and events throughout the day. Was definitely worth the wait to celebrate Halloween here.

It is a pleasure to share that this museum is an excellent place to learn about and appreciate the Nordic lifestyle. Even with limited time, we found the tour to be quite enjoyable. Furthermore, an English-speaking guide is available at scheduled times to lead groups through this remarkable museum.
Great interactive space for adults and kids. The guides are highly knowledgeable and ready to dispel any viking-related myths you may have e heard. The VR ride is impressive, but may be a little scary for younger children. The gift shop has some really prized gifts, not just the usual stuff you might find in other more touristy areas. Highly recommended on your walk back/to Vassa.
I bought the ticket on the spot. When I arrived, a guy dressed in a viking-age outfit was finishing explaining about those ages to a group.
I liked it, it is interesting, it explains many things, and there are guys in costume ready to explain you more.
There is also a "story-ride", very well-made.
At the end there is a small shop area and the typical swedish restaurant.
I bought a Loki card (my fave 😜) and a copy of one of the first viking coins. The shopguy explained me about that coin, thing I appreciated.
Then I had lunch at the restaurant (typical meat balls dish, and oysters). Oysters were perfect! Very soft and no "sea" taste or smell. Just perfect!!

The best museum ever, really. It’s the third time I come to Stockholm especially for see the exhibition here. It’s always super interesting but it’s a complete experience. The restaurant- the food is so good and the music is so cool; the architecture and the interior design is so cosy; the shop : you want to buy everything. The personal is very welcoming and sympathetic.
Really it’s an addiction. I went to Berlin, Tallinn and New York for see the others Fotografiska and I’m super exiting to go to the one in Shanghai this summer.

Amazing restaurant experience with lovely staff and ambience. We had these two ‘snacks’ first, a thin sliced boar on toast (but much more than that) and a cup of goat cheese w berry. The tomato mezze was sublime and the squid with poached egg was my highlight; probably my best squid dish in years.

Excellent photography gallery in a striking coastal location in Stockholm. Located in an excellent architectural conversion of a previous customs building offers some dynamic exhibition spaces. On display at the time were exhibitions by the photographer video and film director Anton Corbijn , international images by Viviane Sassen and mid 20th century photographs by Hans Hammarskiold.

The bistro is excellent! Ate a pulled pork burger and an apple tart, and it was very good quality for a fair price.
It has a lounge area, with great photos on rotation on huge screens. Very good ambiance.

Fotografiska is such a cool place modern, creative, and full of inspiring exhibitions. The photos are always top-notch, and they rotate often, so there’s something new every visit. The café upstairs has one of the best views in Stockholm (and great food too!). Even if you’re not super into photography, it’s worth going for the atmosphere alone.
I had a lovely time at this smallish photography museum! There were seemingly only temporary exhibits here but they were all really great. Even some that were based on Swedish artists.
My favorite part is how you can drink and eat in the museum. I am alcohol free but I enjoyed the first exhibit eating ice cream from the gift shop! They are also open late so it’s easy to fit into your schedule.
The museum is in walking distance from the central. If you have bought daily city pass card, you don't need to pay for the entrance. Pass card covers this museum as well.
There are different exhibitions in different floors and rooms. I was expecting more but I am not very impressed by the current exhibitions.
The museum is open till 11 pm. The sunset view in front of the museum building is amazing. Take your time and enjoy the city view and sunset colors.
We had a great visit. Highly recommend for visiting with teens. The restaurant on top also offers great views!

Punk Royale is where you can go as 1 tourist from the USA but leave with 5 companions to the next bar. I think the 5 does an injustice for the atmosphere rating. The music and the casualness facilitates a uniquely fun environment. The key point here is that the baseline for top tier dining is met (which it is). Truly friendly waiters and generous pours of accompanying alcohol makes it live true to the theme of rebelling against fine dining standards while preserving a high-standards dining experience.
Wow. What a vibe. I went into this completely blind (my partner found/booked it). It’s definitely the sort of thing you will either love or hate - and honestly totally depends on you haha. If you like wild, ratchet debauchery, you will enjoy. If you are expecting your typical fine dining meal or don’t like to party, perhaps stay away lol. Expect loud [fun] music, fog machine, shots, dancing on tables, etc. If you aren’t stumbling out of this place at the end of the night, you probably did something wrong!!

Our unplanned dinner was fantastic from start to finish. The miso soup was incredible – a delicious, spicier-than-usual take that instantly won us over. Then came the main event: my daughter declared the Salmon Amarillo the best sushi she's ever had! (Think perfectly seared salmon with amarillo butter, elderflower, and trout roe – pure bliss).
I ventured with the "Lima to Tokyo" dish, enjoying 10 exquisite sushi pieces, perfectly split between Peruvian and Japanese inspirations. Each bite was a delightful discovery!
We left feeling incredibly happy and impressed. Indio Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone in Stockholm looking for a unique and utterly delicious culinary adventure. We're already planning our next visit – this time, the whole family's coming along!

Fantastic flavours, totally mind blowing, I just loved everything we were served maybe with less enthusiasm when it comes to cassava chips but all the rest was a bliss! Been longing to go check out this Peruvian restaurant and went there on a summer day hoping to sit outside, would one imagine they really placed you in between two other strangers. It was terribly crowded and there was no personal space at all. When I talked to my partner who sat directly across me it was as if I was talking to the person next to him too, so you can imagine how intimate that was. The sushi arrived and that was another shock - the rolls were so thin that you couldn’t even properly handle them with chopsticks. Spent more than 800kr and had to have another dinner somewhere else. Server seemed super confident himself too. Wouldn’t be a place I’d come back. There are better Peruvian places, Nikkei style or not.

Fantastic choice for each and very good wine assortment. Everything was good, - from the bread and butter, light but well cooked vegetables appetizer, cacio e pepe!!! Fabulous pasta with perfectly cooked and seasoned. Main - pork or pikeperch with well cooked and synchronized garnish was so taste ( we wete so full with all those food).

The only super delicious dish was agnolotti. The famous cacio e pepe can be liked only by those who have never tried a real Roman one. Pasta itself is fresh.
The fish was a joke, it was frozen several times, so you really had to chew it. I’ve never experienced anything like this in Sweden. Pavlova was interesting, perhaps meringue was too chewy.
Wines were weak, especially for this price.
We passed by this cute corner restaurant and decided to sit in here. We ordered some oysters that were very fresh and had pasta and spaghetti as main dish.
The service was wonderful. The server was attentive and often checked on us, making sure our waters were filled, and ready to order.
The restaurant is super cozy and trendy! Feels very low key but still a nice place to go to impress your friends.
The quality of food was great and highly recommended!

The food was very good, the price is actually reasonable taken into account how big the two person portions is.
From my understanding the menus changes now and then. At this time there was a lot of fish and lamb. I only tried the fish, it was very tasteful. The place is not that big and you are sitting with long tables shared with others.

The food is AMAZING. You must have the Tarte Flambée. A simple dish made with fresh ingredients and full of flavour. The chicken classic also lives up to its name. Last but not least, a wonderful ambience and atmosphere. Lovely, attentive staff who ensured we had a fantastic night.

Very nice place indeed! On the small side, butthey have a lot of non-reservable seats. Had beetroot, jerusalem artichokes, cod and the herring. All of which were excellent! The rhubarb dessert was great, but the chocolate wasabit off(which they pulled from our tab). We where excelently waitered and they have a good range of good beverages! For a non upscale place it is a bit on the high end of the price range.
