Outstanding weekend at our new favorite place!! We had Phil as our guide and trip director the first day and Justin as our guide and Michael trip director the second day. Both days were amazing in the sense we felt very safe with our kids while having a great time with the guides. Amelia's pictures were outstanding and we bought them each day they were so good!! Lunch was a significant upgrade from what we are used to in West VA. The rapids were unbeatable, even though we did in fact beat them. Our Cabin Painted Rock was so far beyond expectations. Clean, cozy and very well appointed with everything you could need or want after rafting. Bravo to all of the team that we came into contact with, you are all first class and made our second daddy-daughter getaway so memorable for all. You guys have set the bar, and it is a VERY high bar. Thank you, John Romm 8/18/25

Such an amazing experience with this outfit and Phillip as a guide. We had an amazing time and always felt safe with Philip. His local knowledge of wildlife and cool stories was very entertaining. It perfectly broke up the trip during the few lulls between rapids. Lunch was great and the vibe was perfect. Highly recommend!

Unforgettable Adventure with the Best Guide Ever! We brought a youth group of teens from South Dakota and from start to finish, our whitewater rafting trip was nothing short of spectacular. The company was incredibly professional, well-organized, and clearly passionate about what they do. The safety protocols were thorough, and the river itself was breathtaking. Even the downpour in the middle of the trip was glorious! But what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Hayden. Hayden was the perfect blend of expert navigator, storyteller, and hype man. He went out of his way to try to make the experience a special one and made us feel completely safe while keeping the energy high and the laughs consistently flowing. His knowledge of the river and its surroundings added so much depth to the trip, and his calm confidence made even the wildest rapids feel like a thrill we all could handle. If you're looking for an adventure that will leave you grinning from ear to ear (and maybe a little soaked), this is the company to go with — and if you’re lucky enough to get Hayden as your guide, you’re in for a ride you’ll never forget.

Our instructor Justin was amazing! Made the trip so much fun. Shout out to him for keeping us on the raft!! This experience was out of this world. 10/10 would do all over again!! Book with wild water Chattooga. I promise you won’t regret it

We had an incredible time rafting down the Chattooga with Wildwater! Our guide, Ethan, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, fun, and so encouraging. He even helped my 9-year-old find the confidence to do one of the rock jumps he was nervous about, and it ended up being his favorite part of the trip! The whole experience was well-organized, exciting, and memorable. We also got some amazing photos that we’ll cherish forever. Highly recommend Wildwater for a fun family adventure!

So much fun! Super nice people, great for a family day trip idea. Absolutely loved our guide Tony & made him our new family member! Rafting, a little swimming, nice snack along the way. 100% would go back for an all day adventure. Pictures were quite pricy but love the memory forever!

We did the 7 hour section 4 rafting trip with Justin as our guide. It was fantastic! Justin was very knowledgeable and great at what he does. We had a ton of fun experiences and made some amazing memories!

We took our annual boys trip to Wildwater Chattooga this year. 2 out of the 5 of us have never been whitewater rafting. All of us had a freakin blast! Our guild Justin and his safety team were all amazing. Very knowledgeable and focused on safety. Needless to say, we crushed the Chattooga! No serious injuries or anyone thrown from the raft. I would highly recommend Wildwater and Justin.

Fun day hiking at Brasstown. This hike is EASY until you get to the last tiny staircase down to the final waterfall. We had a 1 year old able to do the whole thing (aside from the staircase) and a 9 month pregnant woman. 0.2 Miles to the first waterfall 0.3 miles to the final waterfall. There are 12 parking spots but more side parking prior to the lot. 1.7 miles of unpaved road prior to arriving to Brasstown location. No Bathrooms, water fountains, trashcans or paid parking. The path is well maintained for a hiking trail. Some tree roots, built stairs, stepping stones, staircase with logs. Upper 1st and lower 4th waterfall have a swimming area. The lower waterfall was our favorite. We hiked in on a 88 degree day and there was so much shade that it felt like a 70s day.

As most have said, the walk out is a combination of sort of easy to treacherous. We went right first because it is longer and we prefer to do the harder trail first. The first part is fairly easy, but be aware that there is no barrier between the trail and the cliff. Important if you have a daredevil in the family. Then come the stairs, about 150 in several groups. Two sets are more like ladders, but they have railings. The very last ends on the treacherous part, some layered rocks down to the water. I am amazed that this trail was made, and appreciative to whoever is responsible! We got viees of 3 waterfalls, including views from two very nice platforms. Of course what goes down has to come up, and we aren't 60 anymore. The left fork goes to the upper falls, about 60 or 70 feet of mostly a thin sheet of water over an almost slide. There's a memorial to a young man who died at 23 back in 1999. No history given, so we don't know if he died there, or that was his favorite place. The only improvement we could think of would be to add a toilet, or a port a John in the parking lot.

Nice, short hike to a beautiful waterfall. Trails are clear and very well-maintained. Overlooks are accessible down a few steps that are wide and manageable. There is a dirt road to get here but it is packed well so the dust isn't too bad. No entry fee...
Pamela B — Google review
Easy hike with rewarding views. About 0.1 mi up the trailhead you get to a fork where to the left is the upper falls trail, about another 0.1 mi, and to the right is the lower falls trail, which is 0.3 mi one way but feels like 4x the length of the other trail - probably because of the stairs and elevation changes. The upper falls trail has one waterfall and it’s beautiful. The lower falls trail has three waterfalls, two of which have overlooks, and all of them are gorgeous as well. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot by the trailhead, in October.

Gorgeous park. Turning right at the fork in the trail takes you down to a series of beautiful falls. Great for climbing, looking, and swimming. Feels like a rainforest. Trails could be labeled a little better but that’s not big deal. Dirt road entry so keep that in mind with your vehicle.
Luke J — Google review
I lost cell phone signal about 5 miles before arriving. The road turns to a dirt/gravel road about 1-2 miles prior to the parking lot. There was a sign that someone wrote “falls” with an arrow pointing the direction to turn. The parking was free. The trail to the falls was short and well maintained. The overlooks were a little far but from the falls but there were some trails that led directly to the falls to see them up close. The waterfalls were stunning. There were 4 waterfalls.
Desiree W — Google review
Very easy hike! There are two waterfalls which are short walks to both of them. There were people that had baby strollers on the trail. Ample parking. After the paved road it turns to a gravel road...keep going to the parking area. We'll worth the drive!!
Glenn H — Google review
This isna very easy hike for the most part. One trail uses smaller wooden logs as stairs which you have to watch your step with. The views of the waterfalls you get are good. I have been back here a few times and it is always nice to see the change up during the different times of the year and changes over the years.

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, Humble Pie is a must-visit! Nestled near the Chattooga Lodge, this charming eatery offers an inviting outdoor seating area perfect for enjoying meals with loved ones. Guests rave about their made-to-order pizzas and unique offerings like the Cuban sandwich, all featuring fresh toppings and excellent crusts. After a day of adventure on the river, many find it to be an ideal spot to unwind with friends over delicious food.
First timer walk-in on 7.17.25, diddnt know what to get. Asked for recommendations, and was suggested southwest pie by man behind the counter. My lady got chx quesadilla. Both were absolutely fantastic. I ate the whole pizza myself. It was the perfect blend of spicy but instantly cooled down with the ranch mixed sauce and sweetened with the pineapple chunks and banana peppers. Ive never had anything like it. After I was done eating I walked back in to give both employees a $5 spot for their fast and friendly service, super good food and my thanks for making a great day even greater.

Visited here with some friends after a long day of rafting on the Chatooga. This was a delicious stop for dinner. I got the Mediterranean pizza which was good, though some of the artichokes had some pokey and hard to chew parts. Everyone I was with also enjoyed their pizzas. The serving sizes were good so that you will not leave hungry. I would recommend coming here if you are in the area. The outdoor seating is also very cute and there is a cafe next door (I did not visit the cafe). The atmosphere was calming and enjoyable.

Our favorite place to get pizza! It’s the absolute best after a day at the river… the kids get to run around freely while the parents sit back and hang out. Highly recommend!
Morgan C — Google review
Of course, for me, anytime I can sit outdoors and eat with my wife it is a good day! Unfortunately, I was so enamored by both that I failed to take pictures of the food when it arrived. Sorry. We were staying close by at the Chattooga Lodge and a guest there suggested Humble Pie because they had gone. They, too, enjoyed it very much! The pizza was made-to-order, and I also had a Cuban sandwich. The crust was excellent and the toppings fresh. The owner delivered it outside to us, and we chatted a bit. Very pleasant. The Cuban sandwich is not like what you would find in Miami, and has a definite Southern twist. Tasty, but I prefer the original. Good selection of beers and soft drinks. Nothing pretentious here and we liked it a lot. Will definitely go back when I'm the area, and I recommended Humble Pie to my friends already, when they visit the area. I would do the same for you!

The BEST pizza that I’ve ever had. My family and I love Humble Pie and drive from an hour away quite often just to eat here. The quality of the pizza is great. The staff is super friendly and does an awesome job. Great outdoor area to sit at as well on nice days. If you are in the area this is a must stop!

Third visit here. I love this place. The Mediterranean pizza is my favorite. Friendly staff. I like to eat on the back porch. Also try the Gauge next door for breakfast. They have wonderful lemon bars, ice cream, and coffee. I hear the cookies and bagels are good too.

We came here on the advice of a few locals. Nice little establishment. Great service. The food was good. I didn't care for the bbq sauce base of the hawaiaan pizza, but the crust was great and they were very generous with the toppings. My friends had the quesadilla and the meatball sub, which they said were good. The back patio has a great view.
Deborah B — Google review
Given the community and culture of the river rafting SC scene, I was extremely surprised that there were not more varied vegi, gluten free, dairy free options. This was an order at the counter and find a seat place. The help was not very friendly and seemed a bit puzzled with asking about other options. I finally ordered a 15' mushroom, roasted pepper pizza with tomato sauce and no cheese. It tasted a lot like my Dominos $7 large pizza back in the city. The mushrooms were old and the peppers were either canned or miniscule, not roasted. Forgettable. Considering how long I have waited to try them, I was very disappointed. Maybe being the only restaurant in the immediate vicinity, they just don't have to try very hard.
