Shopping
Queensgate Shopping Centre is a major indoor mall in Peterborough, serving as a regional shopping hub. It was inaugurated by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in 1982 and underwent modernization in the early 2010s, with plans for further enhancements including a multi-screen cinema. The center features an array of midmarket brands like H&M, John Lewis, River Island, Superdry, and M&S.
I came across a hidden gem. A small independent shop called Unity, a collection of local crafters and small businesses offering an amazing selection of goods. Great for pressies or to treat yourself. Supporting local charities like Up The Garden Bath

Not a bad shopping center, plenty of shops to choose from. The parking is awful, I have a big car, scraped my wheels on the way out as the car parks are too narrow...same with the parking spaces, if you cant get a middle space your passenger can't get out as there are big concrete beams right where they are. Parking cost is reasonable, and there were plenty of spaces even on a Saturday afternoon. Just a let down that they have tried to cram too many cars into the multi story car parks. The place is over run with young teens though, some of which are fighting, throwing random things about and being a general nuisance.
John J — Google review
Queens Gate is a great, big market with lots of shops. Only issue is the toilet—too far and hard to reach. For such a large place, there should be more toilets for easier access.
Sadik M — Google review
August 2025 I came to this place after 7 years and it hasn't changed much. It's a good one stop place to shop and eat snacks and have coffee. There were few stores that were closed down but the wall art has added a feature to the place. Paddington bear sitting on the bench was a cute stop and click point for shoppers. The English style phone booth also looked interesting. The only downside of the centre is it's parking and shop connection. It was very confusing to enter the shops from the parking. Clear signage is required especially for visitors from our of town. We parked on level 4 and after going up and down the levels by stairs, finally found the shopping centre entrance.
AYESHA H — Google review
Big shopping complex with multiple stores, great place to spend time with family on weekends. I saw a lot of comments regarding toilets, Those are available on Level 1 and Level 11 ( Take Some lift ) else you will revolve around the mall
Sai P — Google review
Visiting this mall was less a shopping trip and more an existential crisis. The décor whispered of better days long gone, while the atmosphere radiated the kind of despair usually reserved for abandoned train stations. I didn’t shop,I simply mourned. This mall doesn’t sell happiness — it sells depression in bulk.
Zeus D — Google review
Queensgate shopping center was extremely busy. I went there at least three times the past week during the day and during the weekend all the times that I went tothere were busy. It has a lot of restaurants. It has a lot of shops and it’s near the Peterborough Cathedral this place is perfect For visiting. Perfect for having lunch kids friendly he just has so much to do there. I will recommend to go during weekday as it is less busy.
Geebs G — Google review
Undercover Shopping centre full of various shops full of a range of interesting merchandise. ie. Primark, Greggs, Boots, Superdrug. Also Odeon Cinema and indoor Golf. 5min walk to the Cathedral and other shops in the city centre. Queensgate is attached to the bus station and car park. (well signposted from the major route Parkways) It is a 5min walk from the Railway Station.

The Key Theatre is a modern cultural and entertainment venue featuring a 94-seat studio and main auditorium. It serves as an unconventional wedding reception venue, offering bespoke menu packages and in-house wedding planners. Visitors can also enjoy dramatic performances at the theater, followed by a relaxing day at Ferry Meadows Country Park. The theater, built in 1973, struggled initially but has now found its place with a second smaller auditorium and a better understanding of its audience's needs.
Fantastic pantomime again! We are repeat visitors and already looking to book next year! The cast and performance are spectacular and very very funny with a range of jokes that suit all ages and as usual really get the audience both kids and adults involved in the performance. The key theatre itself is superb with great facilities and staff whom are efficient and welcoming. A family of three adults and a child all had a full set of snacks and drinks for under £30 so very reasonable! Book now and don't be late to avoid disappointment. Supundedoesnt do it justice!

Relatively small venue with a nice feel. Well kept, comfortable seating. We were here to see a comedian recently, seated in Row L. We were only a couple of rows from the back, but the view was great. The sound quality was admirable and I would welcome the opportunity to hear an acoustic set or small band in the venue. The seating is tiered with steps running the length of both sides of the auditorium. Stairs are relatively shallow and a hand rail runs the full length.

Really great pantomime! Great service and the theatre is intimate and had that personal feel that you can’t get elsewhere! I would highly recommend!

This evening, I had the pleasure of watching Annie, performed by Westwood Musical Society Peterborough at the Key Theatre, and what a fantastic production it was! From the very first note, the cast brought energy, charm, and professionalism to the stage, delivering a performance that was both heartwarming and thoroughly entertaining. Despite an unexpected fire alarm—caused by the haze effect rather than anything more dramatic—the cast and crew handled the disruption with grace, and once the show resumed, they didn’t miss a beat. The young performers playing Annie and the orphans were a joy to watch, full of enthusiasm and talent, while the adult cast brought depth and humour to their roles. The set and costumes perfectly captured the era, and the music brought each iconic song to life beautifully. From the uplifting “Tomorrow” to the mischievous fun of “It’s a Hard Knock Life,” every number was performed with energy and passion. The chemistry between the cast members, particularly Annie and Daddy Warbucks, made for some truly touching moments. Adding to the experience was the wonderful setting of the Key Theatre. With its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics, it provided the perfect space to enjoy this classic musical. The venue is a real asset to the local arts scene, offering a welcoming environment for both performers and audiences alike. The friendly staff and well-organised layout made for a comfortable enjoyable evening

An excellent venue. I went to a two day music festival and was very impressed with the theatre. All staff were really friendly. Sound and lighting were great, and there's an excellent view of the stage.

Seriously Collins we're performing at the key. Great evening, band were excellent, played classic Phil Collins and Genesis tracks. Definitely work going to one of their gigs if you are a Phil Collins fan

A charming small theatre that accommodate the locals' demands. Glad it didn't get shut down. The theater is clean and well laid out. The cafe is quite inviting with the lovely decor. The film event is a terrific idea and need to be advertised more. Hopefully there are more to come.

Went to see Cinderella today with my daughter in law and granddaughter and we loved it, great singing, beautiful customers and to top it off lots and lots of laughs. Buttons stole the show he was brilliant and so entertaining. Thank you Key Theatre for the great well needed escape from reality of what's going on in the world right now. I hope Peterborough Council come to their senses and keep you open. Xx Looking forward to seeing you all again soon xx

Restaurant
Charters Bar is a unique venue located on the lower deck of a historic Dutch barge in Peterborough. This dog-friendly pub offers an extensive selection of around 500 guest ales annually and serves pan-Asian cuisine. Visitors can relax indoors on comfortable sofas or enjoy the beer garden with plenty of seating, shaded areas, and live music events during summer festivals.
Great place this. Right on the river. Huge outdoor area with pizza. Coffee mexican. And a decent sized resturant on the upper deck of the boat. Loads of people serving so small wait times. Everyone seemed friendly enough. Good selection of beers ales etc. Seemed senisble on price for a town centre pub. Something for everyone really. Would recommend and would go again.

Had a quick drink here at the end of a day's travelling and sightseeing and it was perfect. Great for a summers evening - there were fairy lights, music, and good drinks. Lots of food options too, but we didn't eat.

I always love coming here. It’s always a great atmosphere and vibe, and I love the outdoor bar and grill! Really cool. Plenty of seating and outdoor facilities in the summer! Great selection of drinks and food too. Staff are really friendly and helpful and keep the place nice and clean and enjoyable for everyone. Will be coming back!

I loved this place. The old school music from the late 70s was excellent. The Ramones, The UK Subs, The Clash. The bar downstairs in the hull was a treat, and the Guinness was spot on. The young man who served us was friendly and chatty with good banter, an absolute joy. The seating area outside was huge, I was gutted there was no live music on the night we were there. I wish we had one of these moored on the River Tees back in Boro.

Charters (and East) have always been firm favourites but even more so after the exemplary service received by Louisa at Charters this weekend. We held a surprise 30th ‘gathering’ at Charters to celebrate my partner’s birthday and Louisa couldn’t have been any more accommodating (despite it also being the day of the Great Eastern Run!) From speedy response to my initial email contact, to helping me navigate the cake to the birthday boy on the day, Louisa’s professionalism and patience was ever present and greatly appreciated. Thank-you Louisa and team, you were just fabulous!

Peterborough Cathedral is a medieval church known for its grand Gothic facade and offers tours, tower visits in the summer, and choral recitals. The cathedral has a rich history dating back over 1,000 years and has survived invasions, wars, and King Henry VIII's Dissolution of Monasteries.
A beautiful piece of magnificent history right in the centre of town. So many stories to discover and amazing architecture to admire. Well worth a visit and if you're lucky, you might hear the choir practising, or the organist playing a tune!

A beautifully designed and built cathedral. Are there better ones - depends upon what is considered better, this one is full of history and stunning architectural details. There was a 5 pound charge to visit the chancel but I did not think that excessive considering the maintenance costs on this building. If you visiting Peterborough, this is not to be missed. Also a lovely place for some self reflection and hop out of the daily trials of life.
Mark A — Google review
What a great cathedral. The architecture is amazing and walking inside its so spacious and the art work is amazing. Such a peaceful place. The cathedral is right in the city centre of Peterborough and you can’t miss it with the walk way leading to it. The cathedral looks so beautiful and grand from the outside and when you walk in it looks so nice
Paul S — Google review
An impressive building with the three arches. The Nave is beatiful too with the wooden ceilings, etc. An amazing building. But, I was disappointed to find that in order to visit the chancel and other areas at the back of the cathedral, I would have to pay an entrance fee of £5.50, you have to buy tickets at the information desk. There is no clear signage of that being the case, nothing to inform me of this. You need to be more clear as it does not say on your website or indeed on any signage that I looked at that there is a fee.

Like majority of Cathedrals in the UK, Peterborough cathedral has stunning Gothic architecture and a real sense of history. The intricate ceilings and beautiful stained glass are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect place to pause and reflect.

I have visited a lot of Cathedrals over the year across England, and this has to be one of best that l have seen. l was very impressive with both the inside and the outside of this cathedral. I would highly recommend coming here. The cathedral is free to visted, but there is a donation box/card reader if you would like give something.
Peter C — Google review
We visited on a Friday morning, parking in the large Car Haven Car Park and walking 450m to the Cathedral via St. Peters Road. On entering the Close, one is greeted by the enormous West Front, completed in 1238 in Early English Gothic style, dominated by three huge arches, and much wider than the rest of the mostly Norman design Cathedral that hides behind it. The West door leads directly into the Nave with its three vertical levels and amazing painted wooden ceiling, which dates from the first half of the 13th century and is the only one of its type surviving in Britain. Turning about, one is introduced to two portraits of one of the Cathedral’s most famous people, Robert Scarlett (“Old Scarlett”), the Sexton for many of his 98 years, and who buried two Queens in the Cathedral before he was buried there himself in 1594. Peterborough Cathedral has little stained glass and few monumental sculptures, so thorough a job did Oliver Cromwell’s soldiers do when ordered to ransack the building in 1643. Indeed, it is remarkable that the Cathedral survived because much of its lead was looted, and masonry carted off. Fortunately the stunning early 16th Century fan vaulting in the New Building survived, and Cathedral repairs and restoration began during the Restoration of the Monarchy in the 1660s and continued extensively in the 19th Century. One can take a one-hour “Highlights” tour of the Cathedral for £6, and our capable guide Sue introduced us to the pomegranate-adorned grave of Katharine of Aragon (the first wife of Henry VIII), the memorial to Mary Queen of Scots (interred at Peterborough until 1612 before being moved to Westminster Abbey), and the Hedda Stone, which is the best preserved and largest Anglo-Saxon sculpture in the country (and a source of much speculation as to what it represents). If taking the tour, add another hour to explore the rest of the Cathedral.
David R — Google review
This cathedral really surprised me in the best possible way. It’s not one of the more famous cathedrals in the UK, but honestly, it deserves a lot more attention than it gets. The west front is just jaw-dropping, with enormous Gothic arches creating a truly dramatic entrance. Inside, it’s a fascinating blend of architectural styles. You’ve got the Norman nave with its bold, geometric arches, and then other parts that lean into later Gothic. It's a pleasant mix to take in, visually and historically. It’s a peaceful space, but not stuffy or overly curated. Staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable, and it never feels overly commercialised. All in all, a hidden gem that’s worth the trip. If you like cathedrals and haven’t been to Peterborough, you’re missing out.

Live music venue
The New Theatre is a 1,191-capacity city theater with a glass façade that hosts live entertainment in Peterborough. The theater also features a function lounge and coffee and circle bars. The theater is home to the live entertainment in the city of Peterborough, including shows from the West End, big name comedy nights, and live music acts. The seating is comfortable and there are plenty of leg room options.
The concert I attended here was fabulous, comfier seats than the Coliseum in London & more space in the grand circle. As you can see all of the stage is visible from the row I seat. Excellent acoustics & a treasure of a place for this city. I will be back as soon as possible. No cloakroom for bags (or coats I assume) but I left mine with the box office staff. Very nice place.
Ben T — Google review
This is a lovelly theatre in the heart of Peterborough. Dating from the 1930's and with a lot of features to demonstrate its history, the New theatre has been a cinema in the past before becoming a theatre. The auditorium is a fantastic space with large seating capacity (around 1100 I believe), and with an upper circle give a good view of the stage from all seats. The staff take huge pride in the venue and in ensuring that they offer a good range of entertainment and enjoyable customer experience. The building is well decorated, historic and a fantastic venue to book a show. A full schedule of shows is offered from what I saw of the advertising posters around the lobby and exterior.
Simon A — Google review
Went to the New Theatre to see Tim Peake (the Astronaut). The building is well maintained, and well-kempt, the bar was a little small, but generally adequate. The theatre space itself is very well maintained and really good visibility all round. The acoustics and audio were pretty much perfect. It wasn't overpowering at the front or weak at the back and there was no audio distortion. There are no pillars to get in your way and there is a little tiny ice cream fridge in the front right hand corner to buy little ice cream cups which is a good classical, nostalgic touch in the absence of an ice cream tub seller. Because of the location of the theatre, it isn't any decent parking. It's either on street, a car park 5 minutes away, get public transport, cycle or come on foot. Most of the parking gets full and it can take a long time to exit the car parks even though they are very small because of how they exit onto a busy road even at that time of night. The stairs at the front can also be quite difficult if it wasn't for the lift. The theatre has definitely catered for people with accessibility needs, as the front of the theatre does have spaces for wheelchair use. However, those with hearing impairments are not provided with a translator fluent in British Sign Language by the theatre. It's usually the acts themselves that are usually responsible for providing it. Which can mean it's a bit hidden miss. Otherwise, a good experience all round.

Where do I start.... We went here to watch RENT The Musical. The show is brilliant. The actors are marvelous in their performance. The whole production is astonishing! The band is just awesome!😍❤️👏😱 The venue is fantastic! Very spacious. Big aisle to walk on. It doesnt feel crowded despite many people in it. What best, I think, in this place is the acoustics! The music and vocals are brilliantly balanced. The lyrics can be heard clearly through the microphones. Kudos to the sound peeps! There is parking nearby. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The bar is great too. Would definitely recommend this place. 😊 The only con i can think of is that, they dont have merch of the show. 🥺 -----------‐------------------------------------ We went back to watch SIX the Musical today in Peterborough New Theatre to check if the sounds are clearer and better than the one we've seen in London. And, true enough, they did not disappoint! The sounds are astounding! Very crips, clear and just brilliant! The performers are fantastic! The band is great but I would like to commend, Maria, the drummer... hands down! 👏😍 She is awesome! Love the Peterborugh New Theatre! Will watch more shows here in the future. 😉❤️
Gladys S — Google review
The show I was to see should have been at the Key theatre but due to structural issues with the building the show was transferred to The New Theatre. As usual the host were amazing, there were enough front of house staff to make sure that any question asked was effectively answered, bar staff where efficient and friendly, the foyer is not the largest space so we were directed upstairs to have our drinks in comfort, a tannoy informed us of how long before the show started and seats becoming available. The amenities were spaces but got crowded at the end of the show as customers were requiring the toilet before they left. Parking is not brilliant but this is not the theatre fault more poor planning and poor administration by the local council for parking across the whole of Peterborough. The seats in the auditorium are spacious and well upholstered making them very comfortable much better than most theatres I've been to, 2 hours passed without any discomfort or the associated leg pain that comes from hard slender seats. The New Theatre has more seats than the Key so there were many empty seats on the sides of the auditorium and we could have spread out but I think most would have still sat in their alloted seats because it gave such a great view. Although the stage area and the auditorium are large spaces it still felt intimate and during the audience participation points we were easily part of the act rather than distanced from it. I first went to this theatre when it was an Odean cinema for the Saturday kids club nearly 60 years ago and been when it was changed to a three screen cinema and then to a well appointed theatre, I've watched plays, musicals, comedians, and fascinating scholars on that stage and I have never been disappointed (seeing Ken Dodd has to be my highlight) and will continue to visit in the future.

Went to see Swan Lake at the New Theatre on Sat 18 Oct. 2.30pm. Excellent performance by Ukrainian Crown Ballet company. The theatre staff were very courteous and helpful, in particular Margaret, who offered us alternative seats so we had a better view of the stage, as our view of the stage was partially obscured where we were originally sat.) Thank you Margaret 🙏 The theatre itself was clean and seats comfortable. A bit pricey for food and drink though.

Located in Peterborough, East restaurant offers a unique dining experience on a 19th-century Dutch barge with modern interiors. The menu features a variety of tantalizing dishes from Southeast Asia, showcasing diverse cultures and flavors. Popular options include the Sunday buffet, green curry, banana tempura, and pad thai. Guests can enjoy the picturesque view of swans while savoring delicious Asian cuisine in a romantic atmosphere.
We have never been before and now we don't know why! We went for dinner on a Monday night, so it was nice and quiet. There is a few parking spaces (free) at an entrance just off the bridge. The staff was lovely and very friendly. We had 2 curries, rice and rotis. The food was all very delicious. We also had the deep friend ice cream and cheese cake for dessert and it can definitely be recommended. The view from the boat with the swans are lovely and quite romantic. We will be back for sure!

We came last night as a group of 4pm. It was quite busy, but the service did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and constantly asking if we needed any more drinks/if everything was okay with our food. I had the tempura prawns as a starter, which had lots of flavour. The batter wasn’t greasy which was great. We then shared the quarter duck between the 4 of us, which was plenty. I had the crispy chilli beef, it wasn’t too crispy and overdone, it tasted fresh as sometimes this isn’t the case when you get it from a takeaway. The meal (and drinks as we had 3 rounds of alcoholic drinks each) cost us £215, which for 3 courses and the drinks in a nice restaurant is very reasonable! I’ve been to many upper end chain restaurants and paid more and both the service and food haven’t been as nice! Will be coming back for sure, it’s all about supporting local business in this climate so I would recommend highly.

Have few take away from there and was really disappointed with the taste. Order a Singapore curry and it tastes like Korma and the next day I ordered salmon with sake and one piece salmon for £17.60, not sure it’s even enough to share between two. Was really disappointed they charged you full price as sitting down even though it was a take away and the amount you get was also reduced. Definitely not worth the price if you’re ordering as takeaway. I will aspect some authentic tastes from Asia but it seems like it is definitely only geared for UK tastebud.

When looking up restaurants in Peterborough, immediately came across East and am very happy we ate here today, - Sunday Mother's Day buffet, on a boat with nice views of the River Nene and swans! 🍴 Even though the buffet didn't have perhaps as many options as I had expected, the food was tasty and not just Thai but also some Chinese / Korean / Malaysian / Singaporean influences. The sea bass was really tasty, loved the Thai green curry and Malaysian satay as well Friendly staff and good vibe, could tell that many of the diners were locals and probably repeat customers which is always a good sign!!
Betsy C — Google review
Biggest disappointment of the year. This restaurant’s food quality does not match its price point at all. The duck was flavorless, small portion too. The egg fried rice had no flavor at all; did they forget to season it? This restaurant was definitely a ‘western’ adjusted Asian restaurant. Biggest red flag was when we walked in and not a single Asian person was in sight; neither the staff nor any guest. 🚩 Service was bad as well; we stood at the entrance waiting to get a seat while not a single worker even acknowledged our presence. After ASKING to be seated we were then told to wait for at least 5-10min…when the restaurant was half-empty with plenty of open seats. Do NOT go here if you’d like an authentic Asian experience.
Eric S — Google review
Poor quality experience. I ordered stir fried chicken with chilli's and basil. I eat this at least every other week when I am away working all around the UK. This version was minced chicken, it was dry and bland. I sent it back only to get very nonchalant service thereafter. To be honest none of the staff smiled from the get go. Not an authentic experience, I would not go back and I do not recommend. Perhaps the fact that this restaurant appears to "specialise" in several different types of cuisine is where they are going wrong. What I ate was absolutely not authentically Thai.
Andrew C — Google review
East is an amazing place for Oriental styles of cuisine. This place is an absolute gem 💎 cannot stress enough. The ambience and portion sizes are great. The food will just make you go wow!!. The homemade coconut icecream is the best I've ever eaten. The service is perfect they give you time and space but at the same time very attentive. Fantastic experience at Katana! We visited Katana Peterborough for Mother’s Day and had an amazing time from start to finish. The lady of the day was treated to a complimentary glass of Prosecco – such a lovely touch that made the occasion feel extra special. The hibachi experience was brilliant, with our chef Ace putting on a fantastic show while cooking – fun, engaging, and absolutely delicious. The whole table loved it! A special shoutout to Sarah at the bar – she was friendly, professional, and a true asset to the team. Her service and energy really stood out and made us feel so welcome. The venue itself is stunning – from the cherry blossom decor to the stylish seating and vibrant atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend for celebrations or just a memorable night out with great food and entertainment!

5 stars – An unforgettable Japanese experience! We had an absolutely amazing time at Katana in Peterborough! The atmosphere is unique, with authentic Japanese vibes, and the chefs are true performers. They cooked right in front of us – from fresh, flavorful sushi to hot dishes prepared with flair – everything was delicious and impressive. A special mention goes to our waitress Mariana, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. She made us feel truly welcome and added a personal touch to the evening. Highly recommended! If you're looking for a place with top-notch food and a memorable dining experience, Katana is the perfect choice.

An Unforgettable Birthday Experience! I celebrated my birthday at this wonderful restaurant, and it was truly an unforgettable evening! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Chefs Ash and Milan put on an incredible live cooking show right in front of us.Their energy, skill, and sense of fun brought so much excitement to the table. The food was absolutely delicious, but the experience of watching it all come together was what made it extra special. The kids were completely in awe - wide-eyed and smiling the whole time! A big thank you to Vikra, who took amazing care of us all evening. He was attentive, warm, and extremely helpful, it felt like he truly cared about making the night special. Highly recommend this place for celebrations, family dinners, or just a fun night out with great food and an even better atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back!

A wonderful meal, with exceptional service! Went above and beyond and overheard it was my birthday and produced a birthday slice of cheesecake!! Delicious sushi and one of the tastiest massaman curries I have had! Vikram was a wonderful server, so friendly, helpful and warm. Really appreciated his drinks recommendations too !

We visited today for my daughters 18th birthday treat, it was amazing. We were seated quickly in our choice of seats. We ordered from the al a carte menu, the food was sooo good, we didn't want to be full 🙈 everything was so fresh and full of flavour. The drinks were very tasty too. Our waiter Vikram was brilliant, very attentive and helpful, he even surprised my daughter with ice cream with a candle 🥰 It was a bit pricey but that was because we wanted to try everything 😅 We will definitely be visiting again soon

Katana Restaurant have a very special space in our hearts. We had our first date there. In December we decided to get married and we couldn't imagine having our wedding reception anywhere else. Saran Raj the Director of Operations was very professional, he helped us book the room and sort the menu. We had a few dietary issues, which he delt with. He was at our disposal all the time and ensured everything met our requirements. One challenge; to find someone to decorate the room at such short notice and over the Christmas period too. He found someone who was just perfect for us and she created a magic room, amazing as she had just two hours to decorate it. On our big day everything was sorted for us, we didn't have to do anything or worry as everything was taken care off. The staff were very happy and friendly to our guests and accommodated their every wish. Which made our day even more special. The room looked magical, the food was perfect. We consider Katana as part of our family and every anniversary will be celebrating there. Thanks Saran and your team. See you soon.

Steak house
Restaurant
XOXO Grill House is a casual spot with outdoor seating that offers grilled steaks, burgers, and kebabs. They are known for their 100% Aberdeen Angus Beef burgers, signature chicken wings, and lamb chops. The restaurant provides take-away options through JustEat. Visitors can expect warm welcomes and spacious wheelchair-friendly seating. The menu features homemade burgers and matured steaks with a unique twist. However, it's recommended to book in advance as the restaurant has limited tables.
We came here on a bank holiday Sunday as a walk-in of 2 and we greeted friendly and seated promptly. Our order got lost in the kitchen, but this is inevitable in restaurants (I used to be a waiter myself), but the staff handled it brilliantly. It was well worth the wait, for starters we shared the ribs and explosive prawns - and it was probably the best ribs I have ever had. The prawns were equally delicious. For main, I had the chicken sizzler and I was really impressed - a massive portion and very delicious! My partner had a burger and was as impressed as I was. The staff offered us a dessert on the house to compensate for the inconvenience we faced earlier but I was too full! They instead very kindly took our drinks off the bill. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We ordered steak and some burgers for the kids and they were cooked and seasoned very well. The restaurant looks very nice in a great location in the town centre. The customer service was very good and no wait or delay in anything. Highly recommended

Our first visit after reading previous reviews. Best thing is they serve verity of Halal food , we order T-bone steak, chicken pasta and Burgers for kids. Portions were very generous and meat was so tender specially the steak. A little disappointed with service because no one passed through our table after the food was served.

Hidden away on the side road off the main road, is XOXO. Glad I took the chance to visit, what a surprise it was. The food was excellent and served with a smile. Prawns were lovely, the Pina Colada was on point and the dirty fries was special (in a good way). Loved it, will be back for sure. Halal food served.

Second visit. Very lovely servers. Very friendly. I ordered the taco starters. Quite expensive for what it was. Also, it was mince meat, I thought it was going to be pulled beef. It said ‘slow cooked beef’. I went for the burger ‘naked’ very nice. Meat was still abit red. Food was tasty, well seasoned.

Nestled in the heart of Werrington, The Cherry House is a charming 400-year-old thatched cottage that serves up exquisite British cuisine with delightful French influences. This unique establishment stands out not only for its rich history but also for its commitment to quality, as Chef/Patron Andrew Corrick brings his expertise from prestigious kitchens like The Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair.
Lovely little restaurant. Very cozy inside and not that many tables so feels quite intimate. Definitely feels like fine dining. Lovely helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. We have never had a bad meal here. I believe they change the menu every month so there is always a good variety on offer. Veg is always served with the mains on a side plate. All our meals were delicious especially the panna cotta, I can live off them for the rest of my life!! We always leave here absolutely stuffed, such good value for money.

With a second attempt on the day - we managed to get a table for 2. First time we called half an hour before we wanted to try this restaurant, with no surprise now it was all fully booked. Half year later we called early morning and there was a free table. Heard rumours how good and how tasty the food is at Cherry Tree. And I can’t recommend this places enough. The service was amazing - you walk in a little waiting area, they offer you a drink then introduce you to the menu and then you order. Once your drink is finished they take you to your table and food comes quite quickly. They come and check if you’re happy with everything and you don’t have to wait between courses, pretty much as soon as you are finished they come and offer you your next meal. We took our time and enjoyed every second of it and we spent nearly 2 hours in this lovely restaurant. Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Definitely coming back! Thank you team Cherry Tree 🙏

Although there were no complaints about the food we were able to eat, the restaurant's ability to cater for those with allergies was abysmal (see further comments)! Some staff training wouldn't go amiss either. Though polite and doing their best to help it seemed the waiting staff had no concept of what food intolerances mean. And as for asking for a glass of port with the cheese, the poor waitress had no clue what port is - "is it beer?"!! Scruffy photocopied sheets of some sort of list were presented to us before a check was made and a port list appeared. We will not be returning any time soon, which is a shame because on the two previous occasions my partner and I have been, everything was ok.

The Cherry House is a lovely traditional pub/restaurant with wonderful thatched roof. We visited the Cherry House in December and were impressed with the fantastic menu. A nice clean place. The Tesco store is amazing, has everything you need and good choice and selection of food etc. There’s even a cafe too. There are other shops too. There’s a petrol station. Really is worth a visit. I do love visiting this place.

I keep reading reviews mentioning a bad smell, that issue is either fixed or I’ve lost my sense of smell as we never noticed any nasty smells. The car park is spacious and well thought out operating a one way system. The largest store is Tesco but it is a well stocked one. There are several other small chain stores undercover, we found it a relaxing shopping experience

I have really enjoyed visiting the shopping center in Serpentine green. They have decorated the place up for Christmas. Plenty of parking spaces. The variety of shops in the area message they one return not have to go to multiple places to buy things. All under one roof! I haven't visited the food court yet, but they appear to have very good deals. Children will enjoy the spacious area.

There doesn’t seem to be much variety anymore. Borrowing a scooter at Tesco means having to go round the outside to go back inside to swap back to a wheelchair to go back out again. Bit backwards tbh

I have been there many times since 2017 for truckfest that was held there every year. It is sad that it is now being redeveloped as Peterborough was my holiday spot and was going to move close to the showgrounds. While it was there it was certainly enjoyable it was a good place to.

Visited yesterday with my partner for the Landrover show. I've never been before and I enjoyed myself. There were lots of stalls with various products available including but not limited to car parts new and used, cleaning products, tents, merchandise clothing, second hand stalls etc. There was a lot of walking so if you are disabled I would definitely consider a scooter. Weather was great which added to the experience. Plenty of different food stalls to chose from some were extortionate which is to be expected but others were more acceptable pricing. Observed the toilets being cleaned and were relatively clean and stocked. Managed to watch a few shows in the seating part including a challenge where a ball had to be kept in a hoop whilst driving over a course - entertaining to watch. Followed by a display of cars and a 2 minute silence for the Queen after the national anthem was played. Followed by an off roading show which was really cool to watch. Would definitely return.
InMyOwnWorld — Google review
Nothing major to write home about on this trip. Venue was good, but not great with terrible choice of food. Bathrooms ran out of paper towel on day 1 and were not restocked for the rest of the 5-day event, but were otherwise kept clean. Traffic getting in on day 1 was chaotic at best, but improved as the week went on. Overall there have been plenty of better locations, yet plenty of worse, so believe 3 stars an accurate representation

Rode up for the motorcycle event. Didn't camp or anything. It's ok for the day. I can imagine other bigger events using up the space better. The motorcycle show isn't as good as it was once.

Great day out at the last truck fest here. Will miss coming here when it moves to Lincolnshire. There are plenty of things to do and see great for all ages who love anything to do with trucks. There are tons of shops for the other half to spend his money. And the young lad enjoyed it all and was tired out by the end of the day.

2023 motorcycle festival was a great one this year, with camping at full capacity. It is the last one to occur at the showground as the land has been sold. There's rumours of the festival going to Lincoln or Newark.
BigBearLogic — Google review
The actual arena was great, we attended the MCN motorcycle festival. Lots of stalls, choice, great grounds, everything was amazing! The let down was the camping. The toilets were not the best, and the showers were the worst I've ever experienced. They basically dribble, it's not a shower, and went from freezing to scalding hot every minute. Awful awful showers. If you go there and camp, don't bother using them!!! But everything else was fantastic.

A gem of a museum. We were there for the Dr Who exhibition running until November 2025. It's a mis of props and models from the early and great years of Dr Who. At the same time there was an exhibition of the artwork of Jeff Cummins who also created amazing Who artwork that was used for books and Radio Times covers. It was also special as one of our party, Andrew Donkin, worked with Jeff many years back and that collaboration was on show!

Splendid bar located in the town center. Has a lot of space within the premises and a unique style to it. Loved the deco as it had its own style. Serves a range of draught beers and ales. Really wanted to like this place when we stopped here for lunch but the food we had just wasn't up to scratch. If you see my other reviews I'm a big fan of chicken wings and will usually always order them if I'm a menu. My wife also likes them so we decided to get the sharer portion of Korean wings. I'm not sure who the chef is here but these were not in any way shape or form Korean flavoured. If I remember correctly they were advertised as having Gochujang sauce. The wings themselves were completely bland,.had been cooked in the oven clearly without any seasoning so they looked pale (and even though they weren't) uncooked which was off putting. The sauce was more like a sweet and sour sauce from a bottle. Prob Encona. Not nice at all due to the texture. For comparison I took a picture of the wings as advertised Vs what we got (see pics) it's really not difficult to make appetising wings these days especially if you have an air fryer / deep fat fryer. The rest of the food we ordered (truffle tater tots and beef tortilla) was ok but nothing great to be honest. It seems like the pizza here might be the way to go as other diners had ordered those but who knows. It's a nice venue and staff were friendly but there are issues in the kitchen here for sure. Sadly don't recommend

This was my go-to pub for food during my 9-day visit to Peterborough. Especially the 3 small dishes for UKP 15 turned out to be excellent value. I had them three times, exhausting around half of the options available. My favourite was the burrata with white beans salad, which I ordered on all three occasions. Lovely. The other two I changed with each order: small tacos with pulled pork and mushrooms, respectively, and all three available versions of tater tots (with pulled meat, Buffalo sauce and chicken - my favourite - and mozzarella and hard cheese). Always well-prepared, always delivered in good time. The best value food on offer if you're really hungry. The pub itself is a rustic traditional establishment, with nice seating inside and out. 4 cask ales available (most times), of which I often chose Adnams Ghost Ship. More beers and lagers are available on keg. Service was friendly and efficient. It's a popular pub with locals, but I always found a seat in the outside area, which looks out to the Guildhall and Cathedral Square. Really good option for superior pub food in Peterborough.

Erica and Keira were very friendly and helpful. Great service, as always. Liked that they were able to help offer advice when I couldn’t make a decision. Food was amazing. Full of flavour and great value. Cocktails also great value.

Aimee has been an amazing host to our table. She was very observant and never left us waiting without. She had a very cheerful approach and was always there to suggest options to us and give us guidance on the menu. A valid member of staff who meets all customers needs to a high level. She is someone who deserves recognition! Thank you for a great experience x I hope Aimee goes far she deserves to x

This place lives up to its high rating! I tried to resist going to this place since, from the outside, it looks a lot like the touristy places we have in Miami. But the food blew me away, I had the Curry Goat Hash. Can you use the word sublime with a dish like that? Every component of this dish was done perfectly. Inside it has a upbeat vibe and nice eating outside too.

Our time at Turtle Bay (Peterborough) was amazing, from the service to the absolute best food to Keira gentleness, good attitude, well service, everything was perfect. We did enjoy the cocktails and jerk platters. Well definitely come again. Thank you Francois and Nathalie

First time here, celebrating a 45 year wedding anniversary just myself and hubby. Staff friendly and attentive; nothing too much trouble. Mel in particular was an absolute diamond. She made our night such fun and looked after us so very well. Thanks Mel, what a lovely young lady with a huge smile and full of life. I blame the 2 4 1 cocktails for making me forget to take photos of the scrumptious food on delivery! We had chicken wings to start followed by the Sharing Jerk platter both well recommended 👌

What a fantastic way to spend a lazy afternoon. I sat outside, in the sun and loved the tranquility of the view across the church square while I had a relaxing lunch. The fish tacos and jerk chicken with coconut rice were full of flavour and a great reminder of my trips to Trinidad. The servers were attentive and responsive which made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable.

Fast food restaurant
Burger King is a renowned fast-food chain that specializes in serving up delicious grilled burgers, crispy fries, and delightful shakes. My recent visit was nothing short of exceptional! I enjoyed a double whopper with just tomatoes while my family savored the Steakhouse Angus—minus cheese for Dad—and some chicken nuggets. The restaurant was impressively clean and the service was impeccable, making it well worth the wait. After a long workday, I decided to treat myself to Burger King again.
Yesterday I wanted to treat myself to a Burger King after a long day of work. When I went into the store it was a very nice welcoming experience. Staff were lovely. I ordered a steakhouse Angus and oh my goodness it was delicious. I also got a frozen Fanta to help cleanse my pallet which did wonders. Overall I really recommend this restaurant and couldn’t have been happier with the service from the lovely staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love the BK burgers, suitably different to other burgers you can get elsewhere, and great fries. I've been using one of the delivery companies recently to get meals delivered and they've always been quick to arrive and in good order. A little more expensive but worth it.

Food was not fresh and wasn't cooked properly. Asked for my money back, the manager was obstructive and rude. The rest of the staff were really nice.

Went in for a bite to eat, was in a rush. Fantastic service, quick, with a smile and the manager went above and beyond to ensure everything I needed, I got. A shining light for all other Burger King stores.

Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price For Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall the price of the food/drinks at any Burger King is a little on the expensive side. Prices for snacks/food to go are also very expensive compared to local competitors. Especially the sizes of sides you receive. Speed of Service: ⭐️⭐️ On this particular visit, the time between placing my order and receiving my food was very slow. Although there was 3 people on. It took a very long time to get my meal. Judging by the business I would have expected there to be more people on or even have a better through put system. Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall quality of the fries I order was extremely good. However my Bacon King was not very hot. The bun still felt rather frozen and the chicken nuggets were oily. The nuggets however were very hot. Personally I have had better experiences at Burger Kings. Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From what I could see the restaraunt was clean and well maintained. AOB- ⭐️⭐️ I had no major issues with my visit. However the Decor of Burger King is very outdated in comparison to its competitors. Compared to Subway/McDonalds/Greggs who all have a very up to date refreshed look. Burger King is falling behind with the more old fashioned look.

Restaurant
Prezzo Italian Restaurant in Peterborough is a casual chain eatery offering stone-baked pizzas, classic pastas, and a separate kids' menu. Conveniently located in the city center near popular attractions with nearby parking, it provides a welcoming atmosphere and a variety of delicious choices for both adults and children. The restaurant offers fresh, quality Italian dishes including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options to cater to different dietary preferences.
My children and I popped in for some early lunch and received a wonderfully warm welcome by the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect for the duration of our meal. We were made to feel extremely comfortable and the food was absolutely beautiful. My son opted for the Spaghetti with king prawns, which he happily devoured and no request was too much, as they kindly assisted in adapting a meal for my very picky 7 year old! As a family we all really enjoyed visiting this branch of Prezzo and will continue to do so.
Amel A — Google review
I had lunch at Prezzo on Cowgate in Peterborough UK today and unfortunately, my experience was rather underwhelming. I ordered the crispy fried mozzarella, chicken Milanese burger and Tuscan beef and mash. The food itself was average. The chicken hamburger didn't particularly stand out in terms of flavour or quality, and the Tuscan beef was similarly unremarkable. While there wasn't anything particularly wrong with the food, it certainly wasn't memorable or worth raving about On the positive side, the staff were friendly. They were polite and welcoming, which was appreciated. However, the service was noticeably slow, especially considering the restaurant was quite quiet during my lunchtime visit. This made the wait for our food feel longer than it should have been. The atmosphere was as expected for a quiet lunchtime. It wasn't particularly lively, but it was clean and the decor was standard for a chain restaurant. Ultimately, I didn't feel that my lunch offered good value for money. For the price paid, I expected a higher standard of food and more efficient service. Overall, I would rate my experience at Prezzo on Cowgate today a 2 out of 5 stars. While the staff were pleasant, the average food and slow service, especially in a quiet restaurant, left much to be desired. I'm unlikely to rush back for lunch based on this experience.

I've never been here before. So was a first. I have to say this was the best food I've ever tasted in my life. The flavours were amazing. Good size portion. The staff were very polite and friendly. Just an outstanding 10 out of 10 from me. I will recommend them to all my friends and family. I will also definitely be returning.

A really great atmosphere and the food was amazing! All of the staff were lovely and friendly and very attentive. Our server, Monika, was great throughout and made us feel super welcome. Also love that they had Peterborough specials that are exclusive to this prezzo.

I was bought a buyagift voucher which I chose to use at Prezzo Peterborough. We had a set menu which, while much smaller than the standard menu, had great options! Started with the deep fried Mozzarella, the cheese pull was like something out of a cartoon. Delicious! Main was creamy chicken and panceta rigatoni and it was a decent portion with loads of flavour. Pudding was a chocolate fudge cake which was light but decadent. My partner was pleased to see a GF and Vegan pizza on the menu which ticked the dietary requirements box for him! Super quick service, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will go back

Fish and chips takeaway
Fryz Fish & Chips is a lovely fish and chip takeaway, with polite staff, clean uniforms, and safeguards in place to ensure customer safety. The fish was delicious and crispy, and the chips were perfect. I would highly recommend Fryz to anyone looking for a great fish and chip meal!
What great fish and chip shop , staff and all friendly and smile and say hello, fish and batter is really good quality and nice crispy light batter . My wife said it's the best she has had for a long time. And a very reasonable price
John G — Google review
You won't find fish and chips quite like this anywhere else - this place is truly something special. The love, care and dedication the family puts into their business shines through in every bite. The fish is always perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside, flaky and fresh on the inside - and the chips are golden, hot, and deliciously moreish, with super generous portions. But it's not just about the food (though that alone is worth the visit); it's the atmosphere, the warm weicome, and the genuine passion behind the counter that make this place feel like home. You can tell this is more than just a business — it's a labour of love, and it shows. Support this gem of a chippy - they absolutely deserve all the success in the world. I'll definitely be back (again and again)! Couldn’t recommend enough🤩🐠🍟
Sophia S — Google review
Very generous portions served fresh at a very reasonable price. The chips take 6 minutes to cook and are handed to you hot and fresh. The curry sauce is excellent too. The shop itself is very clean with recent excellent food and hygiene awards visible.
Raymond M — Google review
Absolutely brilliant! Fryz in Peterborough has quickly become my go-to chip shop. The food is always piping hot, freshly cooked, and full of flavour. The chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—just how they should be. I had the cod and it was perfectly battered, light and golden without being greasy. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick even during busy times. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The shop is clean and well-kept, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you're in the area and fancy proper fish and chips done right. Easily the best chippy in Peterborough!

16 May’25 - Just had a take home cod and chips - terrific. 2 x Cod + large chips - £15.50. Price around the bottom end in Peterborough but the quality and service is amongst the best. Another plus - being in Breton Centre it has a huge car park just outside for pick up. Shan’t be going elsewhere as long as they keep this up.
David T — Google review
Tried for the 1st time today and am very happy to say, we had beautifully cooked fish and chips. The fish was so fresh, it was white, succulant and flaky. Served by a lovely friendly and welcoming team. The shop itself was absolutely spotlessly clean. I was very impressed. In all honesty we did not realise that this little gem was there as it is tucked away in the back corner of the Bretton Centre. If you want a well cooked fresh food. Do pop along. You will not be disappointed.

Visited here for the Saturday morning parkrun. Loads of onsite parking which is only £1 for park runners. This is very well attended event , with 600 people on the day. The park is great with loads of facilities including toilets, cafes etc. The run is two out and back loops, there are some 2way parts that get a little squeezed but for most of it there is plenty of room. Its all flat and alot of tarmac so its a fast course. Lots of marshalls all doing a great job, this is a must visit parkrun.

Parking £4-8. Very beautiful and scenic. Cafe was busy and their way of doing drinks was odd, tea was made and put on the tray but we had to wait for the coffee (they hold back the tray) so tea was cold. Coffee was around £4, cake £4 . Watersports and activities available on site for extra charges. Picnic area and play park. Short walk around the lake and some other paths that we didn't get chance to visit as it was just a short visit.

Nene Park Peterborough is a nature lover's paradise, offering a wide range of outdoor activities for visitors. From cycling and water sports to nature trails, the park has something for everyone. The natural beauty of the park provides an ideal setting for families to enjoy picnics and play in the open fields. With two cafes and shops on site, visitors can easily access refreshments and amenities.
I took 3 of my children today and was pleasantly surprised on all the new work that has been done. The new welcome sign which is a bug hotel the newly renovated toilets and learning centre. They also have a water filling station for your drinks bottles now which was lovely and cool. They have also done a lot of landscaping work and tidying up which is really noticeable. They also had a summer fun help yourself and return section. It was a bike with a large box in the front that you could take a Frisby, football or a cricket set to use and return once you have finished. I thought this was a great idea. Ferry Meadows well done and great improvement to an already lovely park.

Beautiful place, very scenic with walks around a lake. Several water activities are available for extra cost. Cafe on site, cake £4, coffee £4 roughly so pretty standard prices. Unfortunately they were busy and made the tea then we had to wait that long for the coffee to be made, when we sat finally finished the order, the tea was cold. Dog friendly place . Picnic areas and seating available. Also designated BBQ areas but never saw any whilst there. Parking fees start from £4-8 for entry.

Matalan is a clothing store that stocks both classic and modern clothes for all ages. The store also sells homeware such as kitchenware, bed sheets and towels.
This Matalan is so good! We’ve been looking for red socks and new P.E bag for changing my clothes which are new stuff for my new high school. And also they improved the store by moving the checkout tills to the other side near the entrance/exit door which is now a exit from the tills and the old way is now only for emergency exit whilst the fitting rooms were moved too as the old one got replaced by an extention of the Mens aisle. Best store ever! 😃

I am clearly old now that this bothers me. Not sure if it's the customers who should feel ashamed or the team members stood around chatting. The whole place was a state. I thought I had walked into my child's bedroom. If you are a customer and you don't want something, please put it back where you got it from. If you are a team member please also do something. Imagine if this is the standard in a few years 😳
K K — Google review
When visiting the Matalan store at Maskew Avenue Peterborough please be Aware when you are in the dressing area. As you enter the right side of first 3 dressing rooms. The camera directly reflects in the mirror . The manager has been useless When my husband spoke to her calmly and people around her she said the I have explained that the camera is fixed pointing the opposite side and not the dressing rooms . The camera is a 360 dome camera. When asked the customers won’t have proof of what she is saying as we are undressing ourselves she said I have explained and there is nothing she can do. So we decided to email and put in formal complaint but the manager was very uncooperative to give her name or ID and said we have to take word for it . And she’s not comfortable in giving her name or ID And said it’s not her problem . She even said she wall is high enough if it’s high enough how can we see the camera from the mirror of the dressing room with closed door . She even said it will cost the company to remove the company . Very pathetic behaviour, and unprofessional. As I walked around she was actually looking at the cameras from her computer She ended up saying my husband is Targeting her . My question is do we know her in any way or form to do that . As its question about privacy . When I went back in to question her words she used as I was with baby she said I am shouting at her I made her aware you have made me very upset and not said anything about how to resolve but instead said it’s not her problem . I guess it’s an easier way not to take any blame instead of any constructive solution or using words to calm the situation . Her attitude was very dismissive. There was others people shopping who realised and said they will email about this . Rest of the staff was fantastic. I would like the management to take strict action . I am posting a picture’s.

Place has a good variety of clothes for children, men, and women. As you can see from pictures. Place was a little dirty and service was hard to find. Tried some suits but did not have my size. Also be aware no public bathrooms here.

Just returned items to Peterborough store and once again return was short by one item. This seems to be an ongoing problem at this store, a lady at the next till to me today was also highlighting the same problem. Maybe some more training might help the staff who use the return system. Unable to ring shop so had to ring customer services and they have now refunded the missed item.

On the positive side we were pleased with our purchases and the staff were very helpful. We are long standing customers over decades. However, the 1star is for the state of the public toilets . They were unbelievably dirty and unhygienic. The site manager needs to give this immediate attention.

Brotherhood Shopping Park is a retail park located near Hollywood Bowl in the city. It offers amazing bargains and is easily accessible by public transport, making it a convenient destination for shoppers. The park features a modern and premium atmosphere, providing a pleasant contrast to the surrounding area. Visitors can find a variety of shops, including M&S with ample choices, although some may find the women's clothing selection lacking.
Nice little shopping centre . You will find pretty much everything here from furnishings to food market . Parking is quite busy , even that is plenty of parking space.

Not enough parking, gets really blocked up and queues, it's not great, really miss the H and M. Useful for hobbycraft, I think a decent chemist ( boots or superdrug) would be really handy..

The homeless people hanging around wasn't a good experience. I heard a whisper of abuse to some member of the public who refused to buy them food as I did too and I also had the whispered abuse. I understand their need and maybe an extra bad day for them. But manners count. They could have a sign asking for what they need. That would help. No need for them to ask each person going by. No intimidations too.
Karen T — Google review
Pretty good retail park. As with a few retail parks in the area, the car park is only usable at full lock steering, and you have to go from straight to turning full lock instantly to get round corners. Spaces are also tight, and there are very few walkways. The exit onto Lincoln road is tricky so traffic isn't great. The shops here are lovely just have patience for the car park
Richard H — Google review
Its not bad. Quality shops and nice coffee shops ( M&S and costa in Next are worth a vosit). Poundland is huge. Hobycraft is amazing - can spend whole day hjere. 3 stars beacause of parking. Not exactly parking is a problem - the getting out of there is a pain, you may need like 20 min at least to get out of there sans major busy road ahead . Whoever designed that place is a loser from capital "L". And no, it wasnt one time experience - its always like that- at least 15 min in traffic waiting to get out. Unless you have nothing to do and nowhere to be in time - go there, have fun. Its not for me - I like to be on time everywhere.

Their pizzas consistently arrive steaming hot and are delivered quickly, leaving customers satisfied with their prompt service.
Haven’t been to Papa’s for years as just moved back into Werrington, pizza as good as I remember it just right and chips are amazing. keep up the good work

Its gone downhill! Look at the state of this 15 inch pizza. Dripping in GREASE. Yuck. Had to throw it away. Previous review. Superb pizza. Wayyyyyy better than Domino's

Great to have gluten-free pizzas on offer but only one size is available and it was a bit like cardboard, the downside of gluten-free presumably. Great choice of toppings. Service was slow at peak time, the staff made no attempt to engage with customers.

One of the many typical takeaways on Lincoln Road, so don't expect luxury and 5 star service and atmosphere. But where Papa Luigi shines above many is the food. Large tasty, freshly cooked portions at good prices. All great and definitely 5 🌟

Every other week, we find ourselves placing an order with Papa Luigi, and we must say, the quality of both the food and service is excellent. The delivery times are excellent too. We would also like to extend our compliments to Ish, a young man whose telephone etiquette is nothing short of delightful. Thank you. Sue and Andy.

The Peterborough location is highly praised for its friendly staff, great deals, and delicious hot food. It's a fantastic option for those craving quality pizza with unbeatable value.
Ordered my first Papa Johns on Friday. The man and the lady were so lovely to me, helped me with the orders and offers. The pizzas were very nice perfectly baked. Thank you again for your help ❤️

Took over 2 hours to have someone acknowledge a late order. Then got called saying it would be another hour and a half. Cancelled the order, thought it would be better to spend my money on food not just the thought of having it

I had good experience, fast delivery and the pizzas were delicious. The price is a bit more than some other pizza places around.

Awful. Picked up a pizza today at 1pm and it's meant to be meaty. Not alot of meat for a "meaty" pizza but more importantly why is the pizza not going yo the edge?? I can see alot of base that's not been filled with toppings. Shocking quality. This isn't the first time either, Ely was the same. Worst pizza iv ever had

Worst place I have ever seen to order from. I ordered delivery and they said it was delivered at 1:50pm. I waited till 2:10pm and called them saying I didn’t receive it. She asked me to wait a few more minutes because the delivery guy just picked it up. Yes I waited thinking they were a little late. 2:50pm still no delivery I called them again. same lady she hung up on me right then I had to call back and she said it was delivered at 1:50pm there was nothing they could do because it was delivered to the delivery guy, she had no phone number or way to contact the guy, she gave me a number that couldnt be called just to hang up. of course i lost money, no meal delivered and it affects your psyche. I know they will comment below giving you a website to complain about it but that link also directs you to call the facility back and they will say the same thing

I've had Papa John's in so many locations in the UK and US ,this place is by far the worst I've had and Papa John's for me is usually consitant. I ordered the meat feast and got no meat what so ever . It was cold . The driver did not have any idea where I was even tho it is easy to find, have they ever heard of GPS? Worst papa johns ever , avoid at all cost

Ordered a pizza , waited an hour , called the take away they advised that the driver “ stole the food “ and they will make a new one waited an hour and half and nothing arrived , called them again , the staff were very rude , refused to give their name , said they will not offer a refund and that the pizza was delivered , spent 40 pounds on food that never arrived , absolutely disgusting costumer service

Steak house
Beefeater Granary is a popular pub-style chain known for its grilled meats and international favorites like fajitas. With a clean and cozy atmosphere, it's a great spot to enjoy delicious fish and chips, with the option for delivery in Peterborough. The staff are accommodating, handling food allergies with confidence. While the menu isn't extensive, the food quality is good, though options for vegetarians may be limited.
Was a lovely meal, food all cooked really well, very friendly waitress. The only thing that wasn't clear as a first time visit was the parking, we drove in & followed the road round & parked outside the premier inn, we weren't sure as we thought it should have its own car park, so we checked with reception & she told us we should park in the golf centre car park next door, barriers in & out, apparently you validate your parking in the beefeater, but she let us stay where we were. Would definitely visit again.
Niki H — Google review
My recent visit to Beefeater Granary, Peterborough was a major disappointment, raising serious questions about whether the brand can continue to survive without urgent changes. We had planned a special family meal, but instead, we were left with an experience that felt completely subpar. While the waitress provided excellent service, the food was unacceptable. The roast dinners were cold and burnt, more resembling a low-effort fast-food meal than a proper restaurant dish. The portion sizes and presentation were equally underwhelming, failing to justify the price or the reputation Beefeater once had. To make matters worse, the toilets were dirty, reflecting the neglected state of the entire restaurant, which is in desperate need of refurbishment. The atmosphere felt tired, uninspired, and far below the standard expected of an established chain. For a restaurant meant to bring people together over a good meal, this visit failed in almost every way. If Beefeater wants to remain relevant, it must reflect on its future—improvements to cleanliness, portion sizes , and overall quality are not optional; they are essential. Based on this experience, returning would be difficult to justify. Note, if you are hungry…. Don’t have one of their premium burgers as it reminded me of a fast food happy meal! See picture (menu picture versus reality!)

Nice and quiet where we sat , got busier later. Friendly staff. Clean especially toilets . Good lunch deals . They make up for it in drinks prices . Nice views of the golf course. Free tap water . Delicious food. Vegan options .

Went for my brother birthday (table of 5) the food was nice. Except we did have to complain as the baconeater burger looked nothing! Like the image that was on the menu. Very misleading. I'm now looking at the other items we chose and see they also do not look like what was advertised. (See image attached) The price has gone up with all items on the menu at least £15 and up. I'd say it's not really worth it or the price tag. While they tasted okay, it wasn't mind blowing and doesn't really justify the high price tags. Probably won't be returning as there are much better priced food elsewhere.

My family and I were visiting Peterborough and we stumbled across this place. The food was great quality, to which the family all enjoyed - good price too. Will definitely revisit when I’m in the area next. Worker Melissa was exceptional, served us with the biggest smile. Great service all around 👍🏻.

I went to the Beefeater this week with my two children. As there was an offer on this summer I was asked to sign up to the company. I then waited ages for the email to offer me the discount but it didn't come. When I asked the lady at the tills he then had to ask her manageress said it takes 4 days to come through!! I asked why he didn't just say this in the first place as other restaurants are automatic. The food came out abd my daughters steak was completely charcoaled that she couldn't bite through it! My chicken melt wrap was cold and tasted like the chicken hadn't even been cooked properly. My daughter did get a replacement meal but I definitely wouldn't come back again. Based on poor quality of food and fakse advertising of a summer offer that doesn't even apply!

Steak Thursday........Ordered the sirloin...probably the worst Steak I have ever had. Even the Steak knife was struggling to cut through any part of it.Thank God I ordered a fried egg on top,to at least give me some sustenance. Everything else coming out to surrounding diners didn't look much better either. Staff were apologetic, and I was offered a free drink, but I didn't bother, and I suspect that Greene King will not be bothered in the slightest by this review!

Burghley House is a magnificent Italian-influenced Tudor-era mansion set in over 810 hectares of Capability Brown-designed gardens. The grand sixteenth-century English country home boasts opulent staterooms and is still inhabited by descendants of its original owner, William Cecil. Visitors can explore the beautiful Sculpture Garden and enjoy a cream tea in the stunning Orangery. Additionally, the estate hosts the renowned Burghley Horse Trials in early September. The house is located just 1.
A must-see! We were truly impressed by Burghley House – a stunning Elizabethan mansion with breathtaking architecture and beautifully preserved interiors. The gardens are just as spectacular, especially the Sculpture Garden and the fun, interactive Garden of Surprises. A perfect mix of history, art, and nature. Highly recommended!

Burghley House is really impressive and worth seeing. The building itself is huge and full of history, with amazing details inside and out. Walking through the rooms feels like stepping back in time, and there’s so much to look at you could easily spend hours there. The staff were friendly and happy to answer questions, which made the visit even better. Outside views of the house are just as stunning, especially if the weather is good. It’s the kind of place that makes you go “wow” when you first see it.
Andy — Google review
It's a huge pile of a place with plenty to see, enormous gardens designed by Capability Brown and a wealth of treasures on view. They are a bit economical with the truth regarding where the money actually came from: if truth be told, political fingers were very much in the till several centuries ago. Clearly nothing has changed! To be frank, I found it rather soulless and dark, especially on an autumn day that started somewhat gloomily. You may love it; I have seen country homes that I warmed to a lot more than this.
Michael S — Google review
What a venue! So much history, so much style. We had our work conference here and it was amazing, the staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, pastries and tea or coffee to start, mini fish and chips or vegetarian option, then charcuteri to finish. I look forward to revisiting to see the house. Thanks to Cara and her team.
Tony P — Google review
The House is closed for private functions every Friday & typically, I went on a Friday! 🤦 The walking trails, cafe & shop are still open though & I managed to get a few photos of the outside of the house. It is absolutely stunning & although I may have been able to get some more shots on the other side of the house, it was absolutely sweltering so I contented myself with these & will capture the rest when I can actually visit the property fully at some point. Definitely recommended, just not on a Friday!
Claire D — Google review
The most beautiful palace we have ever visited. It is clear that the owners put great effort into ensuring visitors have access to a wealth of information and a truly enriching experience. The part open for sightseeing is absolutely magnificent – stunning ceiling paintings, the enchanting Heavenly Room, the impressive kitchen, and the elegant library hall. From the windows, you can admire the garden, not accessible to visitors, yet captivating with its carefully and imaginatively trimmed shrubs. The park area is vast, with sections available for free walks as well as paid entry. One of the highlights was spotting a herd of deer behind the fence, including two rare white ones. Truly breathtaking!
Monika Y — Google review
A beautiful house well preserved and the art and paintings are incredible. However it cost £22 to go in to the house and you only see a small part of the house. Couldn't go up to the very top and missed alot of levels. The garden is nice to explore with all the waterfalls

Great experience. The excitement of my young child on seeing Thomas and getting to have a ride made it. Staff were very friendly and engaging with the children which is great to see. It's a gem working to preserve a very important part of our history and worth every penny.

Fabulous railway experience from a bygone age. Two hour duration if you choose to run the entire line there and back. There's plenty of eateries along the journey at stations or on board the catering car. There are workshops and a museum to explore as well. A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

If your into this kind of thing it is upmost a wonderful day out. The volunteers are absolutely lovely me and the wife had a very nice few hours away from the kids. Unfortunately we did not have the steam train because no one to drive it but all in all a lovely day and very relaxing 😎

Popped along to the Thomas Branch Line Experience with my son and daughter. This goes from Wansford to Yarwell. Easy to get tickets online (advised). Plenty of parking when we arrived. Great facilities including toilets, cafe and gift shop. The staff/volunteers are so pleasant. We even got to go on the footplate of Thomas! We didn't travel the full line this day towards Peterborough (which was being pulled by a Class 45 with Continental Coaches), but this is definitely something we plan to do in the future.

A really lovely afternoon out. No steam trains at the moment due to the potential for sparks causing fires along the way. The countryside is tinder dry. We had a very good diesel instead. We had a lovely compartment to ourselves. A small cafe and loo in the train also.

We had a fantastic day out at Nene Valley Railway! We started with a lovely picnic on the train, with a cup of tea from the train’s bar carriage. The café served a delicious Bakewell tart that was the perfect treat before our steam train adventure. One of the highlights was getting the chance to drive a train – an unforgettable experience! We even spotted Thomas the Tank Engine having a day off, which was a delightful surprise for kids (and grown-ups alike). Nene Valley Railway is a wonderful destination for families and anyone with a love of trains. Between the authentic steam engines, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to make special memories. Highly recommended!

Sacrewell Farm is a charming destination for families, offering a delightful day out in the beautiful countryside near Peterborough. The farm features an 18th-century watermill and tractor rides, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages. It's home to rare breeds of animals such as sheep, pigs, ponies, goats, cows, and donkeys. Visitors can engage with the animals through feeding sessions and explore the outdoor spaces while enjoying stunning views.
We came here to break up a long journey and rather than spending a few hours we were there more than 5. The food is good. But the play spaces were awesome. My kids declared it the best day of the holiday! . I would say it's expensive but worth it for a family day out.
Lynsey J — Google review
Had a great day out here with our toddler. Loads of farm animals which you can watch and pet, great for a kid learning about the world. The play areas were super impressive, and we went on a sunny Sunday and had plenty of room to run about. We left our boy's cup in the cafe and the kept it for us until we remembered. Dog friendly which means more furry friends to pet! Very clean too. We'll be back for sure.
Beki M — Google review
We came for the day to have some fun at the farm. There wasn't a lot of animals there today on our visit, in the past there have been more. The heritage mill is fascinating and the children love the old farm machinery. The soft play is great for ages up to about 10 and the park has been expanded so there's plenty to do there. We didn't eat on this experience but when we have eaten here before it's been nice and the service was quick. They had some Halloween activities on and the children enjoyed the crafts. Lovely day out for the little ones.
Siobhan L — Google review
Today was our first visit to this farm and I’m sure it won’t be the last. It was fantastic. So many things to do for children. Lots of play areas. Nature trails around the farm with more interactive play along the way. We didn’t go inside the play barn we ran out of time being outside. Next time we will explore that area too.
Carrie-ann C — Google review
We visited for the Halloween pumpkin event. We love Sacrewell, the park is such a good size and the kids love the maze. My children aged 6 and 3 also love the soft play area. The mill is lovely and we enjoyed looking around. There were Halloween decorations up and the kids enjoyed using the little wheelbarrows to wheel around their pumpkins. We ate in the restaurant and the pizza and burger meals were tasty. Plenty of choice. We look forward to our next visit.
Claire J — Google review
An excellent family day out. Took our 2 grandchildren ages 6 and 4 and everything was accessible and appropriate for them. The play areas dotted around the site are excellent and love the fact that many feel natural and organic. Fun to see the animals and get up close to many. Would definitely recommend for a full day out with happy children!
Janice V — Google review
I spent £38 for what was supposed to be a fun day out but we ended up leaving in less than an hour. For that price all we got was access to a muddy and dirty pumpkin field with most pumpkins either damaged or covered in dirt. The crafting area was dark messy and had an unpleasant smell with no staff around to help or supervise. The pumpkin carving activity was basic and honestly something you could just do at home. Overall the experience did not match the cost. They really need to either lower their prices or improve their facilities and activities because it was very poor value for money. There was nothing interesting for children and the whole place felt empty dull and miserable. I am not someone who usually complains but this visit was truly disappointing. I would not recommend going in October as it was just expensive boring and overall a let down.
Ev V — Google review
It’s actually a really good set up and would get 5 stars if it wasn’t ludicrously expensive for adults. Silly pricing means we only go in emergencies and we live in the next village. Such a shame.

Peterborough City Market is a covered market offering a wide variety of goods, from food to furniture and everything in between. One standout stall is Here Aren't: The Merch Table, which started as a record label and now sells music from their signings along with jewelry, art, and homeware from local creatives. The market's location near the city center makes it convenient for visitors to explore the abundance of stalls offering home goods, crafts, organic produce, meat, fish, and delicious takeaway dishes.

I used to love going to our market but nowadays the market itself, the products on sale and the vendors all seem shabby and unappealing. I even passed by one stall and thought I couldn't look there because if I handled anything I'd need to wash my hands afterwards. It seemed like a glorified car boot sale instead of our bright shiny market I remember from the past.
Jayne R — Google review
UPDATE, there isn't actually a city market any more. A few mediocre stalls down bridge Street. Compared to other City Markets is poor, you better off waiting for the Friday Market at Stamford, Peterborough has a poor selection of stalls & is open Tuesday to Friday except at Christmas when it is open on a few Mondays before, there are a few good stalls. The only place that has quality products is Woodland butchers.
David H — Google review
Average town market, while they had at least 3 or 4 stalls selling veg only one had fresh produce. Some very good fabric and clothing stalls though some market traders are slightly more pushy to sell than I would like.
Lilania T — Google review
Plenty of bargains to be had, but badly in need of investment. I really love the market for fresh fruit and veg, but the cobbler is an institution, and there are plenty of other stalls selling a range of products. There's a solid meat and fish hall, and a good range of takeaway eateries as well. Is it all great? No. There's only a single food stall other than greengrocers. It's good, but I'd like to see more. Same with non-food household essentials such as toiletries. I'd also like to see more esoteric stalls Overall though, I'd like to see more investment in the fabric of the market. The interior is dingy and it's breezy in the winter, hence the score.
John G — Google review
The market it self is scaled down now due to the virus, the few stalls that are left open are well kept and safe. For me still the best place to get my fresh, fish, meats, fruits and vegetables.

We went there for bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint! Our starters were divine and the mains were plentiful prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that exceeded our expectations.

Had a fantastic experience at Middleton’s Peterborough. Three of us dined - one ribeye, one cheeseburger, and one rump. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. My son (10) couldn’t stop raving about his cheeseburger, said it was “awesome.” The fries were spot-on, crisp and golden. The staff were a real highlight, friendly, engaged, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. They were informative too, adding a nice touch to the whole experience. The mocktails were a hit, refreshing and well-presented. Overall, a great spot for a solid meal with a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

I took my wife for her birthday 🎊 and this place was phenomenal. The food was incredible and the service was perfect, the right combination of nothing is too much trouble and leaving the customer to enjoy the time. I'm sorry to say I don't know the name of the guy who served us but he was epic, friendly, welcoming and was truly interested in you having an all round enjoyable time. Thank you for an amazing lunchtime.

Service was fairly good and friendly although occasionally there were no staff nearby when required and the restaurant was surprisingly very quiet (730pm on a Saturday). The food generally tasted good but there were issues. Portion size for the Macaroni Cheese was very small, it was an option as both a starter and main, but apparently what we were given was a Main (as requested) , which I felt was very small, see photo below. When it arrived it was almost cold and this is the first time I've ever sent food back. It was promptly replaced and was hot. The Steak was decent as were the sides. However the dessert of Chocolate Fondant was a disappointment..it had no liquid centre and was solid like a cake (see photo). I would have asked for this to be changed too but there were no staff nearby. With a few tweaks the experience could have been alot better but as it stands we probably wouldn't return.

What a great place, super friendly quick service, tasty food and tremendous value. Cheaper than the street stalls for a really good lunch.

We recently visited *Steak House Peterborough* during our stay and were very impressed by the exceptional friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The service was attentive and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the dining experience did not quite meet our expectations. While the food was well-prepared, the portion sizes were much smaller than anticipated, especially considering the price. I ordered the grilled sea bass with potatoes and steamed broccoli, but the portion of potatoes was so small it barely covered the bottom of the dish. My boyfriend ordered the mixed grill, which consisted of a very small piece of gammon, a modest rib-eye steak, and a small portion of lamb. Despite the quality, the portions left us still hungry. Given the limited portion sizes, we found ourselves needing to order takeaway afterward, as the meal simply wasn’t enough to satisfy. For a steakhouse, we expected more substantial portions that offered better value for the cost. We've included photos to illustrate our experience. In conclusion, while the staff and service at *Steak House Peterborough* were excellent, the portion sizes and value left us disappointed.

"Good atmosphere and comfortable seating. The food was very good, a little over priced maybe but good portions and tasty. Service was below standard, disappointing because the restaurant deserves better. Under staffing didn’t help our waiter was running at times. We were hurried to choose our food and the waiter was trying to multitask while taking the order."
Tim K — Google review
We were a large group and they were happy to accommodate us on short notice. The food was delicious, steak cooked to perfection. Our waitress was lovely and we had a good laugh with her. Great atmosphere and although it was a Tues evening it was quite busy, but not noisy. Would've been nice to see a surf and turf on the menu with lobster though! Pudding was nice, but would've liked the creme brulee warm.

Nestled in the charming village of Wansford, The Paper Mills is a delightful stone-built inn that perfectly blends traditional pub vibes with modern culinary flair. This inviting establishment serves up a diverse menu featuring classic favorites like burgers and fish and chips, alongside more refined dishes such as steak and seafood—all crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can expect a warm welcome whether they choose to relax in the cozy bar or enjoy their meal in the picturesque beer garden.
It was a really good birthday celebration for my husband. Claire went above and beyond and looked after us very well. We enjoyed the scrumptious food and they are all well-priced. Too bad they didn’t have the mushroom risotto that day. The only downside is that the restaurant has this smell of a rag that was not properly dried.

A lovely pub located in a beautiful village with lots of country walks, but... the biggest let-down was the plastic flowers on the tables: how old-fashioned and totally off-putting! It's better nothing than that! The other one was strange "soupy" side to the great filet of sea trout.... I had to "fish-out" the tiniest pieces of potatoes out of the source - a very odd presentation of what could be a great meal. Otherwise, it's centrally located, the staff are friendly and efficient. See you all next time 👌
Marina M — Google review
Staff are exceptional. The food is lovely. But it's not a 'special meal out' kind of place. It desperately needs a deep clean and a makeover. I would say the food is overpriced for the decor of the venue - which sounds ridiculous, but when you're spending £100 or so for a special meal out you don't want to see dead wasps decorating the windowsill, grotty bench cushions, canteen cutlery and toilets that smell of wee. Desperately hope this place gets the glow-up it deserves.

The first meal I had was excellent, as shown in photographs. Staff and location are excellent. I came back for the Vegan Sunday dinner option. Bland slop with zero texture. The last thing I would ever have expected from here. I would have been a very regular customer if not for this. Such a shame. I like to pay for quality. The favourite meal of my every single week was an unexpected failure. I love my food. Such a shame. All I can say is that it's not vegan friendly but otherwise beautiful in every way.

Fabulous food, beautifully presented. Staff friendly and helpful. The menu is really interesting and marks the GF/V/VG options. It is a modest range of dishes but they have tried to cover some staple favourites with interesting variations. It is gourmet food with the focus on flavours and modest portions. Ample for me but those with a large appetite would probably want to order a couple of sides. The central part of this place is the bar with seating at the back and around the old whitewash walls inside. Lovely setting and spot for a pint or some fancy food.

Service and food was fantastic! Good selection of drinks and menu. The beef on the sunday roast was cooked lovely and rare with a great vegetable selection and huge yorkshire pudding. My sea bass had so much amazing flavour and the ingredient pairing was stunning! Followed it up with poached pear, caramelized pecan nuts and ice cream. It was some of the best food I have had in a very long time! Looking forward to returning.

The Millstone at Barnack, a charming pub, was recently acquired by a local businessman during the lockdown, rescuing it from being put up for sale. The establishment offers traditional British pub food and boasts ample outdoor seating. Following a complete refurbishment, the interior now exudes a cozy yet modern ambiance. Guests can expect top-notch restaurant-quality cuisine with an option for lighter lunch portions.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant today! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the well-seated, calm atmosphere—it’s a peaceful space perfect for enjoying a meal without any rush. The service was excellent, with attentive staff who made sure everything was just right. The parking area is spacious and convenient, adding to the overall stress-free experience. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. A perfect dining experience all around. Definitely deserving of a 5-star rating! Highly recommend!

We came here about a year ago and found it really good, so we decided to come back however unfortunately this time there was a mix up with our order and they brought the wrong thing, it also took quite a while for the food to come out and unfortunately I had asked for my steak cooked rare but it came more like medium or well done which was disappointing, however the waiter apologised and they gave us sushi as an apology. Overall it wasn’t as good as I remembered it to be a year ago but it was still good

My wife and I came here for dinner and we had a really nice time. Neil and the team were very friendly, polite and respectful. All of them were really nice. The food was really tasty. We had calamari, parmesan chips, lamb shank, seafood paella & sticky toffee pudding. We can see they put a lot of effort into making and serving food nicely. The atmosphere is quite cosy too. If you are out and about in this area, simply look no further. 😊 Thank you

I recently visited this lovely village pub and was so impressed. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed the atmosphere is cosy, inviting, and full of character. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. The food was excellent: hearty, well-prepared, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. It had that perfect balance between traditional pub classics and something a little special. The portions were generous, and everything was served piping hot. The drinks selection was just as impressive, with a great choice of local ales, ciders, and wines. What I loved most, though, was the sense of community. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a quiet pint, a meal with friends, or even a lively evening and it feels like everyone is made to feel at home. Overall, this pub is a real gem. Whether you’re local or just passing through, it’s well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

First visit here, I was greeted by a number of good shops and places to eat and drink. It just so happened that it was the turn on of the Christmas lights...fire and ice display. The fireworks have been the best I've seen since the firework championships in Plymouth. Great display to music and people lot up on stilts. It was truly magical. I would definitely recommend that people visit here, especially for the turn on of the lights next year. Absolutely fantastic evening.

Flag Fen Archaeology Park is a fascinating 3,500-year-old archaeological site located in Peterborough, England. It features Bronze Age causeway remains and reconstructed round houses that provide insight into the ancient settlement. The site is believed to have been used for religious ceremonies and consists of over 60,000 timbers forming a wooden causeway across the wet fenland.
Great expérience with the family. The viking festival was full of history and fun for the kids too with children trying out on the battlefield to beat the vikings. The site is a lot bigger than we expected and full of re-enactment actors and actress explaining how things work for the children. It feels like step back in time. Definitely coming back again

Very interesting artefacts and archaeological finds in a small but beautiful setting. I learned a lot. It was also great to see how much education they give to young children about fossils, extinct animals and the whole iron and bronze age way of life. Nice cafe and local book area at the entrance too.

Great place to visit especially when they have an event on. This time we went to see their halloween event, which included broom making, a spooky maze, majic wand building and pumpkin carving. We were even greated by the grim reaper at the door. Food was tasty and our toddller loved it!

Great day out here on the way home from holiday. Plenty to see, the shed with the preserved in situ track way being a favourite. The museum is small but very interesting. Some aspects could maybe do with improved information. We went being quite knowledgeable about archaeology, and having been before 10 years ago, but a casual visitor might need more information.

First time visit here, on a bit of a cold and wet day. Really fascinating to see the Must Farm boats here, as well as the roundhouses. Very sad to see the burnt remnants of the mindless vandalism from earlier in the summer. Great museum - almost missed it on the far side of the site. Lots of activity points for kids. Friendly staff and nice muffins! I also befriended the sheep.

What a wonderful place to visit. All of the staff were fantastic, welcoming and so friendly. I was very anxious and they all put my mind at ease. Barry was fantastic with the axe throwing, he made us laugh and was pretty good at throwing I must say! We will definitely be coming again and trying the other rooms and bringing the kids to have a go at the axe throwing.

Been here for the boardgaming before but thought we'd try our arm at the axe throwing instead. Barry was a great instructor, all the games were great fun and I feel like I really improved my skill. Sadly threw away my winning points in an all or nothing face off but really added to the thrill. Can't wait to go back for the escape rooms too!

Great evening out doing something we’d never tried before. All the staff were friendly and the axe throwing instructor was brilliant. Went for a friend's birthday. This had to be one of the worst meals out ever. How this place is still open. Salad was wilted, friend asked for a slice of bloomer with hers and got cheap sliced bread. The carrot wasn't the thin slices, but dried out batons. For dessert one friend had jam roly poly. It was like a brick, the custard was more a thick skin and inedible. I would never recommend to anyone.

Overall, it's a dity place that needs updating. Short staffed and a bad layout. The food was okay and fairly priced. At one point, a chef or cook was serving behind the bar. Breakfast, again waiting. Porridge was not cooked properly. Bacon was cold fry'd eggs dripping in oil.

Not a great place. Would of been 0 stars in possible Food Very poor, almost burger van road side level if not worse, burger pictured bun was burnt, and the burger was pink raw in the centre, little flavour and no effort in making it, coca cola drink taste watered down, Had breakfast from premier Inn here also and that was awful, sausages was chewy, bread was hard. Premises Very dated and dark, not a comfortable atmosphere Staff Some are Friendly, but most seem so over worked or not care, was not told about the meal deal allowance from Premier in so ordered onion rings and was told at leaving its not part of the deal? Breakfast staff was very rude and I nearly walked out, wish I had when the breakfast arrived. Overall I wouldn't bother and take a walk somewhere else, Waste of time, effort and money.

Fish and chips takeaway
Fast food restaurant
The Eastfield Fish & Chips takeaway is excellent with both the fish (cod) and chips being cooked perfectly and served hot. The portions are also large and the prices are reasonable.
I recently grabbed a takeaway from Eastfield Fish and Chips, and it was hands down one of the best fish and chips meals I've ever had. Even as a takeaway, the quality was exceptional from start to finish. The fish was still piping hot and perfectly cooked when I got home—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, with an amazing flavor that you just can't beat. The batter was light, golden, and not at all greasy, which made for a truly enjoyable meal. The chips were just as impressive: thick-cut, golden-brown, and seasoned to perfection, with a satisfying crunch in every bite. What really sets Eastfield Fish and Chips apart is their consistency in delivering top-notch food, even for takeaway. The portions were generous, offering excellent value for money. They also included a variety of sides and sauces that complemented the meal beautifully. The homemade tartar sauce was a standout—creamy, tangy, and a perfect match for the fish. The service was quick and friendly, and despite taking it home, the food arrived just as fresh and delicious as if I'd eaten it on the spot. If you're looking for a top-tier takeaway experience, Eastfield Fish and Chips is an absolute must-try. Highly recommended!

Decent fish and chips. Fair prices. Don't order the large cod unless you have a big appetite as it is huge!

Scampi and Chips. A lovely meal. This time I got a bottle of Coca Cola as well. That was £1.50, so it is better to get your drink at another location because that is expensive really.

Sorry to say this place has gone downhill over the past few months, visited today to find prices have gone up and yet the food and service has not improved. Disappointed to find this previously excellent chipshop has turned into a run down over priced place. Won't be returning unless ownership changes!

The best fish and chips I've had in ages! This is how good it is. Sublimely delicious cod with a light and crispy batter, and traditional, tasty English chips - amazing! Have to try - highly recommended!
Kaptain G — Google review
I’m new to the chip shop. Only ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. Fish was the nuts so no drama there. Don’t get me wrong as I know what it’s like to get reviews helping my boss run his business. The chips were stone cold and soggy and the mushy peas were dry and not even any flavour. So therefore I payed over £11 for a piece of fish on its own as I really wouldn’t even give the rest to the homeless.(my opinion) sorry. I’ll not discard the place as I’m going to give it another try in a couple days but as for tonight already spent enough for a lazy night off cooking but now I either cook for fulfilled stomach or I order from the kebab shop I see next door
Amos B — Google review
The customer service is good, I arrived just as they were about to close and they still made me my order. It wasn't bad, the fish was fried and came piping hot and same with the chips but the actual fish itself didn't really have a taste. I would rate it 3 stars and a half but I can't.

Starting to become regular customers here. Good freshly cooked food and very friendly service. The lady that served us was fantastic with the kids and had plenty of banter with the staff. The food is good value and well cooked. Finding a good chippy nowadays can be hard work but these guys do really well. Thanks for top service, see you again next fish and chip Friday 👍
