What a brilliant little coffee shop? I passed by after performing a magic show at the Peterborough Milton Golf club and needed some lunch. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the prices really competitive. I will definitely be back.

We popped in on a whim while passing by and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and attentive service. The cake we tried was absolutely delicious light, moist, and full of flavour. It was a lovely little stop that turned our walk into a sweet treat…

Absolutely cracking find and so pleased we did. Food very fresh and well priced. Staffed by young folk who were attentive and good at their jobs with a sense of humour too. 10/10 and thanks.. 👍👍😋

Samantha K — Google review
Lovely food and great service. The very kind owner gave our grandson some chocolate for being a good boy. Would definitely recommend
Caroline W — Google review
We dropped in this afternoon, for a well earned break and the atmosphere was so nice. The staff were very pleasant and the cake delicious. Thank you for adding that bit more sunshine, to an otherwise, beautiful sunny warm day. By the way I love the baby milk bottles. Lelly xxx

Do you have Wi-Fi here? Just moving to the area, waiting for the Internet to be connected and might need a place to drink coffee and work. Wondered if you might have space for me once or twice in the next few weeks. Caught a snap of your wall. Loved it. You were friendly and welcome when I dropped by and appreciated it.

MD COFFEE is a great coffee shop with friendly staff and delicious coffee. The atmosphere is clean and tidy, although it could be a bit more cosy. The coffee tastes great and the cups are nice and big. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good cup of joe!
Wow! What an amazing place! Found it by chance. Stunning food and coffee, gorgeous jewellery and home decor. Intimate and lovely, with a beautiful outside seating area. Well worth a visit.

This coffee and cake spot is an absolute must-visit when in Peterborough! The combination of exceptional coffee, delicious cake, and incredible ambience makes for a truly unforgettable experience. The staff are warm and welcoming, and it's clear that the locals have adopted this gem as their own. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just looking for a delightful treat, this place exceeds expectations in every way. Highly recommend – you'll want to go back again and again!"

A beautiful independent cafe in the city centre with great coffee and cakes! It’s very cosy with plenty of seating both inside and outside. I had the latte and chocolate orange cake, would highly recommend both. Lovely staff and great service too :)

First time coming here with my husband and was not disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and a great looking coffee shop. Not only is it a coffee shop it also houses home decor items which you can purchase and are beautiful. The food was lovely and the coffee was good too. The staff were friendly too. Has lovely outdoor seating as well. Will definitely be coming here again.

Very nice and cozy little cafe with a gift shop.
Anna — Google review
I had a very disappointing experience with the customer service here. I asked if my child could use the toilet, but was told that all toilets were out of order. This was extremely inconvenient and hard to believe, as it’s surprising that a business can operate without providing such a basic facility for customers. As a parent, it was frustrating and stressful, and I felt the staff showed no empathy or willingness to help. Proper facilities and customer care are essential, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures this does not happen again.

Costa Coffee is a delightful counter-service coffee chain that has been serving up its signature hot drinks, iced coolers, and an array of sweet snacks and sandwiches for over 40 years. The heart of Costa lies in its unique Mocha Italia blend, crafted by founders Sergio and Bruno Costa. This special mix perfectly balances sweetness, bitterness, and body to create an unforgettable coffee experience.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff who serve you with a smile. Thank you ladies, You made my day 👍 They also offered to heat our pasties too, superb service 👌 Rather noisy inside though. Has toilets.
Samantha K — Google review
It's a really busy coffee shop. Good location, but not a coffee shop that I would return to. There is only one toilet, which is insufficient to accommodate the amount of customers. Aside from that, it was a long wait. It's hardly unexpected that it was unclean and there were no toilet papers. Will not be returning.
Ronna F — Google review
I visited the Costa Coffee branch in Peterborough today and ordered the gluten-free mozzarella & pesto toastie. Unfortunately, it was so overcooked it turned rock hard and completely inedible. I asked the staff to replace it, but they refused—even though they clearly burnt it. I left it on the table without eating. As someone with a gluten-free diet for health reasons, this was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Special dietary items should be handled with more care.
Ilksen C — Google review
I'm a regular in here wit my kids , unfortunately since some staff members have changed the atmosphere has changed and children don't seem too welcome , admitted they can be a bit loud but that's them. The best people in there are Julie and Ellie , always customer friendly and very polite 👍🏼 my children tend to enjoy the new chocolate fudge brownie and when I ordered we was actually given 4 as they'd made too much
Leoni G — Google review
Great service and food. 3 members of staff working well together, one taking orders, one making drinks and one collecting empty cups etc. Only 2 people ahead of me served quickly so no wait.
Catherine C — Google review
For the cortado the milk was overheated so the drink was half froth. The barista topped it up and used a knife to remove the froth from the top. It was pouring over the glass on the outside. The coffee is burnt, and bitter so the grind is off. Cortado should come with napkin and spoon. It wasn't that busy so the drink could have been remade.
Eleonóra O — Google review
It's busy here. You will have to wait quite some time to get your drink at peak times. The seats quickly fill up so if you see one, sit! Other than that it's a typical Costa, if you like their coffee/drinks you'll like it here.
Jordan B — Google review
Absolutely appalling. First of all, the staff do not clean after customers it’s so dirty and cups, plates and rubbish are laying around on the tables not taking into account the next customers who will be coming in. In regard to the hot drinks. The milk is overheated so much that we burnt our tongues. We also had a biscoff cheesecake which tasted awful and disgusting, and tasted under done. This cheesecake tasted like raw eggs mixed with cheese. There were also fruit flies around the pastries. Overall such an unhygienic and dirty costa with careless staff.

Starbucks Coffee is a Seattle-based coffeehouse chain that offers signature roasts, light bites, and WiFi. The main store in Cathedral Square in the heart of the city features a beautiful building with maintained architecture that doesn't look too commercial. The friendly staff is known for their helpfulness and smiles. Customers appreciate the effort put into making drinks, like when Rachel made a Peach Iced Tea from scratch.
Ice Latte tastes so good, however they should concentrate on upgrading the ambiance.
SFZ G — Google review
I always treat myself to a Starbucks before shopping and thought I would try this one since I was in the area today. But unfortunately, not the best experience in a Starbucks branch. When I first went in, there were no clear signs on where to queue and was standing in the wrong place at first, I asked a staff member if I’m queuing in the right place as people who had come in after me had started forming a queue at a completely different part of the shop. The layout is really weird, with the till in the middle rather than nearer one end. So there was people kind of waiting in a few different spots at one point. Anyway, once I was served, I firstly queried about the snoopy cups that were being advertised, just on the off chance that they may have a few left. I wasn’t hopeful but thought I would give it a shot in asking. I was told by the staff member that as far as he was aware that none of the Peterborough Starbucks stores had any allocation delivered. Obviously disappointing but I knew they were limited edition, so wasn’t hugely disappointed. I carried on, and ordered an oat milk cappuccino. Upon waiting for my coffee, I noticed low and behold, one of the snoopy cups sat behind the counter in plain sight of the public with it half full. Obviously they had had an allocation, as a staff member was clearly using one. I understand they’re limited edition and was fine with what I was told at the till, but I now believe this is not the case. I’m not a confrontational person and just brushed it off. I came in to have a coffee and a sit down. Once I’d sat down with my drink, after a few sips I’d noticed something didn’t taste right. A sticker was stuck to the side of my cup with my order…I wasn’t given oat milk, it was semi skimmed. LUCKILY I choose to have oat milk out of choice, and I don’t have any allergies. The shop had gotten quite busy at this point with a bit queue and lots of people waiting for their drinks, so I just finished up my coffee and left. I’ve been to many Starbucks and have never had this problem. This has probably been the worst one, the atmosphere was quite low and not what I usually experience in a Starbucks branch. There was also only two people out of the 40 minutes I was there working, lots of people waiting for a while for their drinks too. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this Starbucks branch next time I’m in Peterborough.
D — Google review
The service has really gone down since I last visited 2 years ago. Staff is much more interested in chatting between themselves than customers or the quality of drinks. From another point- there are hardly any queues now. I've ordered their birthday frappe in 3 variations with different milks. And the one was clearly barely sweet, so they forgot about the syrups. Not the best drink anyway, but cool cups :) Also they're not calling your name anymore, just shout the names of the drinks like other cafes, so lost that personal approach :/
Natalija M — Google review
Quite a few people waiting for there orders to be made. Once ordered placed got some cakes to go with coffee but had only one plate. Then received my coffee but waited 15-20 minutes for my partners drink. Not good watching customers coming in getting drinks and still not receiving my partners order should be made together not made to wait 15-20 minutes. One lady in there was just giving death stairs other two lady's were run of there feet. Poor service could see customers were not happy.
Jason P — Google review
Ricky and adele were fantastic!!!. BOTH are amazing assetts to your business. Frome the moment I walked in they were friendly and new how to have the crack (banter). It's the first time I have been to peterborough and they made me feel very welcome and totally looked after. I would recommend this branch solely because of Ricky and Adele.
Beverly B — Google review
Gorgeous building, nice inside but could do with a little update. Friendly team but service was so slow. We went twice in the same day and both times had to wait a while as it was only one person serving and making the drinks but two other works stood to the side chatting, acting busy.. looked like a manager and supervisor 🙄
Ma F — Google review
Smallish but super friendly Clearly popular with people getting take outs but it does have plenty of seating for its size. In the heart of the city and next to the cathedral. Can be a mess on a busy weekend as the tables get covered in junk fast. Partly because people just clear off “their” table to the nearest empty one . Working wifi, plenty of plugs and decent enough toilets.
Andrew — Google review
Absolutely worst Starbucks Ive ever been to. Appauling service for 8:30am. Staff were miserable. Didn't serve me first at the front of the queue (just chose randomly). Werent calling out names when drinks were ready so loads of people just standing around. Drink was usual starbucks quality. But everything else awful. Wont be using them again.

Chimes Coffee Shop, located at 19 Orton Enterprise Centre in Peterborough, is a coffee shop that offers a wide variety of homemade cakes, paninis, and salads. They also cater to those following the Slimming World diet. The atmosphere of the coffee shop is relaxing and it provides a beautiful setting for families to spend quality time together. The prices of their coffees are cheaper than expected, but some customers find the food to be slightly pricey considering the portion sizes.
My sister and I enjoyed a relaxing meal at Chimes 💜 We shared waffles with pistachio ice cream and a lovely slice of lemon cake. The atmosphere is so relaxing and such a beautiful setting for families to enjoy time together. We were served by Tony who is an absolutely kind and wonderful person. Thank you 💜

Appalling service - twice on the morning of 8th August tried to get a coffee and both times just left because the service was so slow or non existent. Several staff behind the counter - but no one serving me….one staff member made a coffee then just went back in the kitchen to drink it.

Very clean and warm cafe with friendly staff from the community. They freshly prepare the humble food selection. Good tea and fairtrade coffee. There's a selection of cakes and bottled refreshments all day. Before 11am, there's a small choice of bacon sandwich, egg and toast. After 11am, there's a good variety of sandwiches, soup, toasties, paninis and salads. There's also a children's menu. Overall a relaxing place, could do with a bit more variety such as tomatoes or salads as a side.

I like the coffee. But staff need much more training. Tables all full of ditty dishes. Customers living the dishes in order to sit down. Staff taking food outside and walking back empty handed, why don't they pick up the dirty dishes on their way back to the kitchen? It's very bad management. Took 15 minutes to be served at the counter. Absolutely terrible service.

This cafe is over looking the town square. Nice location to sit outside and people watch. The coffee was lovely. Nice and hot with a great coffee flavour. They do a variety of cakes pastry’s. Steak bakes and sausage rolls. I had a calzone stuffed with ham and cheese. It had a doughnut like texture around it. Quite greasy but ok.

Great spot for a coffee, a relaxed feel in a superb location, right in the centre with loads of history around you.

Smallest ice cream I've ever seen in Europe! No wonder there's a minimum 2 scoops as you wouldn't be able to see the first one anyway. Also the guy serving us broke a cone and they tried to serve the last icream (to a child) in a cup with the broken cone claiming they have no more cones... until we complained and they magically found another cone. Find a better place if you want to enjoy an ice cream, this one is definitely not worth it.

Went in this morning for the usual blueberry croissant, purchased 2. When we opened them they were so hard you could break your teeth. They were dry and at least 3 days old. Went straight to bin. We stopped buying coffee from there as the quality went downhill- bitter coffee taste and over heated milk. Waitress hardly smiles. Won't be returning. Such a shame, used to be a great place.

The Hive is a charming local spot that offers a lovely setting and friendly staff. While the menu could use some updates, the food is delicious, especially the blueberry pancakes. It's known for its great coffee and delightful cakes. The establishment also caters to private events and offers amazing value for its offerings. This small independent place is popular for its top-notch service and tasty food, making it a favorite among visitors who appreciate independent establishments with great coffee.
First time at “The Hive”, really impressed, lovely little cafe/bar. Great atmosphere and really friendly staff, nice and clean too. Tried a Doppio and followed with a cappuccino, both were excellent. The sausage and streaky bacon sandwich was also excellent, very large! Will definitely be coming back on an evening to try the “Tapas”

Popped in to do some work on the laptop and couldn’t resist the tapas - it didn’t disappoint! I also had a lovely hot chocolate and this was accompanied by a great chat with the owner Ian, who not only gave me some extra halloumi but also some new sausage rolls they are thinking about selling, to take home and try! I will be back 🤩

Visited for the first time. Had a coffee and hot chocolate with some biscoff brownies! They were amazing! Also tried the blueberry and maple pancakes that were kindly offered for the pancake day, they were great too! Would definitely recommend this place!
Jurinta N — Google review
This independent coffee establishment, situated on Fletton Avenue, may be easily overlooked, but doing so would be a grave error. They utilize small-batch Jute coffee using 100% arabica coffee from small cooperatives around the globe & roast all of their beans by hand in the UK which is perfect for their impressive array of homemade cakes. Established in 2020, they offer a diverse selection of hot and cold culinary options, serve alcoholic beverages until 23:00 daily, and frequently host live musical performances on Fridays. Furthermore, to enhance the experience, the establishment extends its hours of operation on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, during which a delectable selection of tapas is served. It is truly gratifying to encounter a coffee house that distinguishes itself by providing a distinctive experience and a welcoming atmosphere, whether patrons seek a coffee and a slice of cake or a beer, good company and great music. A new local favourite for me.

Have never visited coffee hive before but since moving to the area, I went for the first time on Tuesday and a great experience. The man who's taken it over, Ian, is amazing! Super friendly. I had a bacon, Brie and sweet chilli panini and it was super yummy!! Can't wait to go again
Emma L — Google review
Nice and quiet, lovely little setting nice decor. Friendly staff. Lost a star due to very sticky menus and also not all clear as to what comes with what. Such as the lunchtime deal and the fact you can add bacon on to pancakes but it wasn't on the menu. Of course I could have asked, but I forgot and realised when they arrived. Very tasty though. I feel it would benefit from an updated menu and being able to find it online but other than that a lovely place and I would return.

The coffee here was very enjoyable, and the shop’s location and aesthetic are great — a lovely place to sit with your laptop or chat with some friends. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by cigarette smoke drifting in from customers sitting outside, which made it very uncomfortable to stay. I had planned to order more, but the lingering smell and feeling in my lungs made me leave. A real shame, this place has a potential to be a favourite spot if they could address the smoking issue.
Chloe J — Google review
This small cafe has excellent food (I had the bacon and sausage sandwich with a fried egg (or 2?) and the bread was so fresh and came with as much bacon and sausage as they could fit. Service was fast and friendly. What struck me as much was how friendly the customers were as well. It was as if their motto “bee 🐝 kind” was adopted by all who entered their doors.

Quiet place to drink your coffee, latte, tea, beer... alone, with family or friends. You can find a variety of snacks, sandwiches, cakes, and drinks that can drink/eat in or takeaway. You can find here a wide variety of portuguese products, including some wines and frozen food.

Didn't really spent much time in this café,only had an expresso and out. Can't really say much about it.
Heloisa C — Google review
Best coffee in Peterborough! If you love authentic Portuguese coffee, this is the place to go. The café has great coffee and snacks such as perfect Natas, but the little shop offers great food and drinks straight from Portugal. I felt like I was back there again!
Miles E — Google review
What can I say? Excellent expresso. Nice people. Only a little bit hard to find a place to park.

Love the custard tarts. Very good value. Feels like you're abroad when you're inside listening to the Portuguese accent and sampling the European menu.

Teefee Ltd is a delightful new café that has quickly become a favorite spot for coffee lovers and afternoon tea enthusiasts alike. With an impressive menu that strikes the perfect balance between variety and simplicity, visitors are treated to a cozy atmosphere filled with quirky decor. Patrons rave about the delicious offerings, such as the Chicken Tikka Toastie paired with a Pistachio Spanish Latte, which boasts crunchy textures and mouthwatering flavors.
A really nice cafe. The ambience was a very cosy homely friendly environment. Lovely staff. Food was great. Highly recommend the Spanish latte. Kids loved the cookie dough. Recommend everyone to come here!
Hiraa A — Google review
Lovely little cafe, the owners happy and friendly. You can park outside if it isn't busy. The shop roasts their own coffee beans and the coffee is incredible, better than any chain owned coffee shop. The food is good too
Danny A — Google review
Great new spot for some coffee and afternoon tea. Excellent menu selection not to overwhelming. Stopped by randomly and have to say I enjoyed the service and the love and effort this couple put into their food. Will be visiting again. Loads of quirky things scattered around, and the layout is vibrant and comfy at the same time. Ordered a Turkish coffee and a jerk cheese toasties. Can't wait to go back for more.
Shazad A — Google review
Our daughter got into the University of her choice this morning so we asked her what she wanted and she said a toastie. Toasted sandwich Peterborough threw up Teefee by Google. We'd never been there before. The toasties were exceptional, a lovely touch with bits of crisps on top, and herbs. Heartily recommend.
Darren F — Google review
The Chicken Tikka Toastie and Pistachio Spanish Latte are definitely worth it, toastie was nice and crunchy and the cheese and tikka combo tasted amazing! Lovely place for chill and cozy vibes, friendly staff and fast service :) Worth it if you are near the area as parking was hard to come by (there may be more spaces for weekdays) but would love to come back and try the other toasties and desserts! ❤️
Natasha N — Google review
The coffee was over extracted, and poor. Pizza was basic. Breakfast was strange, eggs rubbery, rashers soggy, etc. Sandwich was very heavy. I asked if the water was free and was almost laughed at. I was short-changed. Too many negatives to leave a positive review.

A culinary experience so divine and a serene ambience that settles the heart , I contemplated migrating to Peterborough and making this town my humble abode after this meal.
Imran M — Google review
Every time I come to teefee the atmosphere and service is always at the highest level. Makes you feel comfortable and at peace, the environment feels like a second home. A perfect place to be and on top of that the prices are awesome!

Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, this Starbucks offers a cozy retreat for coffee lovers and casual diners alike. With its spacious interior and ample seating, it provides a perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends over a delicious cup of coffee and light bites. The friendly staff, including Grace, Emma, and Tyler, create an inviting atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. Patrons appreciate the quick service and cleanliness of the space.
I wanted to review this Starbucks to say thank you to the wonderful staff. Grace, Emma, Tyler and Co have been fabulous. I have had cancer and liked to come here to have a bit of social time and a great coffee. They have been so kind, bringing my order over to my table and chatting with me and sometimes have a proper belly laugh. The quiz night I attended with my family was great fun too. Cherish these employees Starbucks please!
Rosemary S — Google review
The staff here are always amazing! We stop here every morning for coffee before work, usually by the time i get to the till they have my order ready to go. Super friendly, up for a laugh, specifically Grace and Georgia both very friendly. All other staff are just as nice but they are my favs. Food is good, bit pricey but it's the same everywhere.

Every working weekday morning both myself and my husband visit the Oxney Road team. Whether it be Chloe, Grace, Georgia, Tyler and the rest of the team to greet us so welcomely. Absolutely love the vibes and atmosphere they create setting us up positively for whatever the day brings. Within two days of switching to this Starbucks from another, the team had already memorised our order. The coffee is made to perfection, my personal preference, tastes way better than other Starbucks locations. This team brings phenomenal service, every time we visit, so much so making us pop back in the evening for a chitchat and maybe stop by on the weekend too! Even the simple heartfelt gesture of a smiley face or greeting on our coffee cups by Grace, makes my day. Thanks for the chats, giggles and great coffee! Keep up the great work guys, you are amazing!

My experience at this Starbucks was amazing due to 2 colleagues named Chloe and grace. They helped me decide what I wanted as I could not decide and were very friendly also recommended some other things for me. Good customer service
Denver S — Google review
This is the third time me and my partner have come here and the third time this woman who won’t wear her name badge is highly unprofessional and highly rude!! Their website said they closed at 8 and we went at 6:50 and said ‘sorry we close at 7’ but I showed them what it said online and the Second Lady made us a drink happily to take away and she was so rude and complained about how she just wanted to go home and her attitude as a whole stinks!! She is the only rude person I find there to just complain about being there and the customers. I can see from other reviews that this isn’t the first someone’s complained about her but it’s disgusting and costing them customers because of her actions.
Chloe B — Google review
I’m a regular customer and always come back to this store. The customer service is great, especially from Grace and Georgia. 10/10 recommend and food is baby-approved!
Emmy W — Google review
Today 27th June 2025 at 13.50pm at Sainsbury's Starbucks, OxneyRoad - I made a simple comment to my wife to ensure she gets the Lemon and Poppyseed Muffin as well did not get the last time we visited and realized too late should not have warranted the you lady behind the counter to have made a sarcastic comment. Had she been a hospitality professional, 'oh, sorry about that' would have seen me say do not worry as it was for us to have said at the time but we realized too late. I am reluctant to return based on this. It's not the first time staff here have been rude and uncaring. The flip side is some staff have been amazing and have gone above and beyond. Problem is, it's not a one off incident but today was unfair and unwarranted and puts me off Starbucks
Steve A — Google review
No cash, no Starbucks. It's that easy. I do like to pay with cash sometimes. That is not an option that Starbucks offers. Every time I visit Sainsbury's, I usually find this Starbucks to be very quiet. Personally, I still prefers the original Sainsbury's cafe over Starbucks. The original Sainsbury's cafe had a more local vibe about it.
