Glad we found and booked this restaurant. My friend was joking that we have been eating Spanish food continuously and may get bored by now. The food here is out of ordinary and one of the best in our Southern Spain trip. Everything is good and can’t stop thinking of the dessert. Will be back soon to try more food.

Had a late dinner at Tragata and there was just a short wait. Food was delicious especially squid sandwich and fried sea bass. The artichoke was nicely cooked as well. The flavors were of a good mix and we liked it.

Was supposed to be the “low-key” version of the 2-Michelin star bigger brother across the street , and don’t get me wrong food was good. But I didn’t get any special vibe. Inside interior are nice we but sat outside, so less cosy. Ordered burger for the kids but order got messed up and ended up waiting more than hour.

Fabulous restaurant, Benito Gómez also has the two star Michelin restaurant just over the road. The food was Devine and the staff very helpful. YOU MUST BOOK if you want to ensure a table.

Food was fine. The bone marrow was very undercooked. The Russian salad was really good. Service really lacked though. The man with mustache was sour and dismissive from the moment we walked in.

Dining at Casa María in Ronda was one of the most memorable meals of my entire trip through Andalusia. Tucked into a quiet plaza just a short walk from the Puente Nuevo, this small, family-run restaurant delivers big on charm, flavor, and authenticity. What makes Casa María special is its unique concept: there’s no fixed menu. Instead, the host asks about any allergies or dislikes, and then you're taken on a culinary journey made from that day’s freshest market ingredients. Each course arrives as a surprise—and every single one was a delight. From a perfectly grilled local cheese starter to an exquisitely tender piece of Iberian pork, everything was beautifully balanced and thoughtfully presented. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. María and her family treat you like guests in their own home. She explained each dish as it came out, often with stories about the ingredients or how it was prepared. It felt personal, intimate, and unpretentious.

If I could give this 20 stars I would! One of, if not THE best dining experience we’ve ever had. The staff was extremely nice and friendly, explained how the restaurant worked. Started at 45 euro per person and you get a set menu of salad, appetizers, fish meat and dessert. Everything we ate was amazing. The flavors were so good and each dish kept getting better and better which we didn’t think was possible. We called a day early to get a reservation for the next day. If you are in Ronda PLEASE go! It was the best dinning experience ever and you won’t be disappointed. It is more expensive than other places but 100% worth it!!

What an amazing experience we had!!! Not a planned stop but due to a rainy weather, we stayed a bit longer in Ronda - thankfully! No fixed menu, seasonal food served by Maria, only 4 small tables… and she welcomed us despite it was already quite late (all the other guests have left, we were the last one). Everything was absolutely perfect, Maria and her mom are sweet and heartwarming people. If we will come back to Ronda someday, we will definitely stop at Maria’s place again!

Delicious unique experience. Felt like I was eating at a family member’s home. They catered to us considering we’re vegetarian. There was also an extremely friendly cat in the square that enhanced our dining experience. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Ronda!

We had such a good experience at Casa Maria! The food was incredible, everything was fresh and of the highest quality. No menu - Maria instructed us there would be several courses, which were all fantastic. My partner is a coeliac and we’re not too big on seafood, so our meal was tailored to our preferences. We had a duck salad, feta/asparagus and pan con tomate to start, a 45 day aged steak which we seared on a hot stone and a poached pear with a white chocolate sauce to finish. Only dropped a star for atmosphere, because we were the only ones there for lunch service, but we can’t complain about that! A proper Spanish eating experience form start to finish 😊🇪🇸

We went here on a trip to Spain and loved everything from the vibe, to the staff, and the food and wine. The whole experience was created, including interacting with Maria herself. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

The staff was a bit serious at first explaining that they served a prix fix menu but quickly warmed up to us. The chef checked in on regularly as she spoke the best English. The staff was charming. Definitely the best meal and experience in a restaurant so far in Spain!

Located on the quiet side of Ronda on a quaint little plaza with views of the Puerta de Almocabar. Service was super friendly and nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is intimate, around 7 tables. Service was attentive and friendly. The food unfortunately did not convince us. I think we might have ordered the wrong things. The appetizer was extremely greasy, even for being Langostinos al ajillo, and the mains were really dry. The octopus came without a sauce - pure potato puree and the leg. Prices were the highest we’ve paid in Andalusia so far, bringing our dinner to 90€ despite only 1x Appetizer, 2 Mains, 2 glasses of wine + one beer, and a small bottle of water. 4-Stars is stretching it…

My family and I accidently stumbled upon this restaurant, and we loved every single dish that we had!! It was the perfect meal, the lamb was so tender and the risotto was delicious!!! Recommend to everyone!!

Our favourite restaurant in Ronda. We twice traveled 40 minutes to dine here in one week. It changed hands a few years ago but the new team have kept the high standard with the food and work very hard on the service. Quality of the beef/steak and pork, in particular, is excellent. Very good wines. We will return.

Absolutely amazing restaurant in a lovely area of Ronda! This is a small restaurant but the atmosphere was really nice and service fantastic (José and Javi ). We ordered the dishes recommended to us and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had - special mention to the Tuna tartar, steak with foie gras & mushroom sauce and cheesecake. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Loved this place. Outstanding food, would have gotten 5 stars if they hadn't forgotten my appetizer and only served it after all the mains were done. Our mains also took quite a long time to arrive, but other than that, everything was top notch. We ordered the marinated salmon, truffle fried eggs, pork cheeks, duck with basmati rice, and the foie gras with goat cheese (which came much too late). Appetizers were great; salmon was served in nice thick slices, and the eggs were pretty decadent. Good portions for the mains too, duck was grilled very well, and the marinade/sauce was perfect. Foie gras was the bomb. Such a huge portion, and with the goat cheese and melted caramel - amazing. Needs to be shared. Unless you want a heart attack. Service and wine was good.

Love the food! Fresh and tasty! The texture of roasted octopus cooked well with its fresh taste and nice sauce. The Goat cheese cake was also very good, creamy and soft texture, with a hint of goat cheese aroma👍🏻lovely Good atmosphere and good service with acceptable price!

What a lovely wonderful cute restaurant in the heart of Ronda Spain, the staff was super welcoming even though we didn’t have a reservation, the menu is nice and extensive but not over bearing, opted for no wine as this was a stop over on the way to Grenada but the tuna my god was great and the beef carpaccio! The place was recommended by our Airbnb host and it is definitely worth it. The food is amazing and so is the service. When visiting Ronda, I will be sure to go to the restaurant again. It is advisable to make reservations.

Amazing dinner we had yesterday in Tropicana! All what we ordered was fenomenal, but what we will never forget is the Beef carpacio🤤. I highly recommend this place! Their working hours are very strict so pay attention to that. Enjoy! You will not regret it!

When we first entred we was a bit skeptic about the menu with very sofisticated plates. We usually tend to eat more simple/basic food. But then we ordered to eat and everything was AMAZING, from meats, to fish and dessert! Great food, lovely staff, great ambiance, lovely details and amazing experience! Thanks a lot!

I took my girlfriend out to dinner for her birthday at the Restaurante Tropicana in Ronda. It was a wonderful dining experience. The owner and wait staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious. We started with a really tasty, unique “Tropicana” green salad with cucumbers, avocado, mango and fresh tomatoes. We both had a the baked salmon with mustard coating and garden vegetables — a generous portion, seasoned and baked to perfection. The side of bread was warm and crusty. The carrot cake and creamy chocolate cake, with decaf expresso, put a really nice cap on a top notch meal. We’ve had dinners in Madrid, Cordoba and Sevilla that were not nearly as good AND more expensive. Restaurant Tropicana is a must for dinner when you’re visiting Ronda.

Lovely experience. One of the best salads I have ever had. and being a vegetarian, I eat mostly only salads when holidaying in Europe. This one beats all the others I have ever eaten! The spinach salad with goats cheese in brick pastry, with berry coulis, and walnuts.... WOW!!!

We chose this restaurant based on reviews and it was a good choice. This was our best meal in Spain and we ate ate some Michelin recommended places. My friend is very picky and not a fan of unfamiliar foods so finding a place she would enjoy is always a challenge. She ordered three rounds of the chicken and rice tapas dish. I had the beef tenderloin which was flavour perfection, especially the light creamy garlic sauce on the potatos(I don’t like strong garlic and this delivered the perfect balance). My friends tried a few tapas and salads and were all superiority pleased. The price was great, location stellar, and the staff were more than excellent. Thank you for an excellent meal. We would have went back for dinner if we were not leaving Ronda for our next destination. We also enjoyed excellent coffee, beer and the local wine drink (Tinto Verrano) and a dessert. The total bill was 90 euro for 4 people.

Very busy and popular restaurant. We didn't book and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. We ordered a selection of tapas and each dish was beautifully prepared. We've had some of the best tapas in Spain from this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. The price of everything was also very reasonable in comparison to prices paid in Malaga. I highly recommend this place to everyone and would definitely return for food in the future.

The food was so exceptional that we visited this restaurant twice while we were in Ronda. The service was very friendly and the server referred to us as "family" on our return. We told him that we were off to Seville the next day and he came back to our table with hand written restaurant recommendations, which we ended up following up on. Great experience. We enjoyed a nice meal here with a few tapas dishes. The tuna tataki was especially tasty. It's located in a pedestrian only street so it's away from traffic and also protected from the sun with shades over the street.

We ordered the chicken paella and oxtail stew. Definitely the best food we tried in Andalusia. The paella was juicy and the taste just right. The stew was amazing. Tender meat falling from the bones and gravy the perfect flavour. Wait is a bit longer because of the popularity. The restaurant was full.

The staff was friendly, but the service was super slow. I specifically asked for warm water, but they brought it cold—with ice, even! It also took ages for them to take our main order. Once we ordered, we waited about half an hour. They served the dishes in a weird order. First came the main dish—chipirones—which was delicious, but the lettuce on the side wasn’t fresh. Then we got the veggies with mushrooms, and they were cold. Only at the very end did they bring out the cheese, which is usually a starter. The cheese tasted great, but the whole experience was kind of disappointing.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to warn other travelers. The food (aubergine with honey - wasn’t mentioned that it’s fried) was extremely greasy – to the point it overpowered any actual flavor. We kindly asked to change our meals, but the replacements (grilled vegetables) were literally swimming in oil. Still, we were charged for both dishes, even though we barely touched them. We also had baby squids that were quite ok. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the owner – Instead of understanding or trying to make things right, we were met with hostility and zero willingness to listen. They don’t even speak English. I truly hope the place improves, but based on our visit, I can’t recommend it. Tourists, be cautious.

The food is very good, the portions are just too small. The prices are fair, the service excellent, and the waiters are very kind and helpful. I recommend the anchovy and truffle tapas, they're truly delicious!

I came here for a late lunch yesterday and receieved the most wonderful service of my trip so far. I felt very welcomed, especially sitting at the bar right by the best barman. I had the very generous portion of grilled baby squid, the prawn and scallop skewer, and croquetas. I hope to return again, especially to see the wonderful staff. Encantado!

Exactly as expected which is excellent!!! Perfect Tapas. The prawns. Artichoke. Baby squids and even the shrimps omelette were just perfect. Perfect place to stop if you driving from Seville to Malaga

Nice Spanish bistro serving tapas as well as Larger plates like steak and breakfast items too. Outdoor dining on the sidewalk or sit inside. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly though not terribly punctual. I greatly enjoyed the pork cheeks and the stuffed anchovies with cream cheese.

A small tapas bar that packs a might punch with food and wine. There are menus in English, so it's easy to understand. Food is brilliant and very delicious. It is full of local good wines. Would recommend trying the sparkling wine from a local producer. Just be patient with service, especially during busy hours. It's one person at the front and one in the kitchen

Wonderful tapas at very reasonable price. The black pudding and “lizard” were standout for us. Also good wines. We got there as it opened, as being British don’t eat late, so got a table easily.

Really nice tapas bar with great bites and a good selection of wines per glass as well as great waiters. You have to be somewhat lucky to get a table, which only underscores the popularity of this place.

Ok so I have had some good food and wine around these parts but this place is on another level. Don’t expect haute cuisine but just really good simple tapas with excellent local wines all at great prices. Not touristy in the slightest. I ate at the Ritz in London a couple of weeks ago which has 2 Michelin stars and I enjoyed this place just as much but for different reasons. And the staff are lovely. A real gem.

After reading all the positive reviews... I've been left very very perplexed. Am I the only one to find that the food were overrated, or was I just unlucky to order the wrong dishes? Feels weird to be the first one to have something negative to say about the food... Patata bravas and fried pork belly were underwhelming, had better ones cooked at home. Ceviche was very average to say at best, chicken meat on the skewer had a weird sour taste and the octopus was bland. Most confused dining experience so far...

Out of our three and a half weeks in Spain, this was our favorite restaurant. This intimate spot has very limited seating, and we were so lucky that we even could be seated. The owner was gracious, and served us our cava then took a few minutes to hand write a menu in English for us. I thought he was just being kind at first, and then I realized that all of the other patrons were receiving hand-written menus as well, and that really thrilled me. The food was perfection. Contemporary tapas with fine ingredients that were elevated to the highest level here. The food was so good we pretty much ate our way through the menu, and I was compelled to try foods I normally don't care for because everything was done masterfully. It was literally, perfect. The building itself is small, with second floor seating overlooking the old ramparts. Candlelight through colored glass lanterns and warm terra cotta colored walls felt like a cozy hug, and relaxed me as much as possible. The owner was amazing. I asked about the duck because I have never tasted anything like it, and he walked me through his process. I can hardly believe how inexpensive it was for the superior quality of the food. I wish we had had more time in Ronda, because I would go back every night of the week!

I went to this restaurant following comments on Google Map. It's a good choice after a sunset walk on the wall. The restaurant is located near the Puerta de Almocabar. Food style is.mixed, at least I can tell there are Spanish, Japanese and Arabic style food. And the taste is quite good, interesting. Place is cozy and price is good. Boss is very considerable to provide chopsticks. Recommend to dine there.

Turned up without a reservation, but got a seat outside. Plus blankets to ward off the late October chill... Proceeded to eat the best tapas I've had. Try it, it's amazing. Special shout out for the smoked mackerel and oxtail. And oxcheek. And crunchy quails nest. And truffled egg. Worth the short walk!

Every dish at De Locos is well planned and presented...and is also delicious! Guillermo is an excellent host and personality. Perfect and delicious smoked sardines served with tomato, avocado and a wonderful goat cheese sour cream that is finished with an incredible tomato and basil ice cream!

Not your traditional tapas but that's what makes it mind blowing! Best foie gras I've ever had (brûlée crust served with passion fruit sorbet). A little pricier than other places but worth every penny!

Creative tapas with good price. Not too amazed by the duck, the patatas, or the shrimp lollipop. The presentation and surprises performed better than the taste. Good place for fusion / creative seeker or someone tired of traditional tapas. Everything comes with bread. My favorite was the foie gras. The owner is indeed a magician. Not sure why he was super friendly and talkative to some customers while ignored some completely.

Very nice restaurant near Plaza del Socorro! Upon their recommendation we started with croquetas, jamón and tomatoes. The tomatoes were so fresh and tasty, with the olive oil and vinagre which was their own production, it was super nice. We ordered different dishes to eat together. All were fresh and nice. We finished the dinner with mousse de chocolate, it comes as two servings. It was very tasty. For drinks, tinto de verano was very good as well. They brought some chupitas after, from the house which was very nice :)

I truly don’t understand the 4.0 rating. My husband and I both love to cook, and he even owned a catering business—so we know what it takes to prepare and present fresh, high-quality food. Casa Ortega did not disappoint. Every dish we ordered was beautifully prepared, bursting with flavor, and clearly made from fresh ingredients. The service was exceptional as well. We would gladly return and highly recommend this restaurant.

This was recommended to me by the hotel (Hotel Montelirio) as one of the more genuinely local places. Being Australian, I was early to dine. They were great - spoke English very well (I have no Spanish), gave me good recommendations for tapas and were generally sweet. I particularly liked the blue cheese croquettes and something called 'bacon salad' - it wasn't too bacon-y; crispy fresh lettuce, sliver-thin red onion (which can easily be excessively strong, but was reined in here), great walnuts, cheese, and some kind of great preserve. Yum. Ronda has great quality people-watching generally, and I could choose inside or outside. I chose inside. It took less than an hour for them to really fill up, but they didn't put pressure on to turn over the table. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Really delicious looking food. But!! Cheeks were so impossible to chew, even though the kind of fell from each other. Potatoes was hard and some glass like from oil. Both the dry cheeks and the potato’s was so bad, that we did not eat it. The waiter even asked if we were not satisfied, and I told her she could taste herself, there was plenty of untouched food on the plate. But she just didn’t give a d… the scallops were also “killed” in the cooking process. Same with the deep fried cod. Mushroom croquettes were the craziest.. one out of two was wonderful and the other was nasty. One full of mushrooms the other were just kind of trick pancake dough. We left and went to la casa puerta nearby, where we bought more food. We knew they had tender cheeks in wonderful sauce and good potatoes 🙏🏻

Visit to Ronda and in need of sustainance! Check out a few spots and this place was highly rated. A few tapas..cuddle stew, blood sausage, fried anchovies. We shared the cheese platter. Also ordered was the pear salad with walnuts. All were very good. The cuddle fish stew was to die for as was the blood sausage.I have picturrs, but reviews are not allowing me to post them. Service was a bit slow, but we are in vacation so who cares... My only criticism was the cheese platter was a bit skimpy for the price in my opinion. But the cheese were very good!

We had a very relaxed evening sampling the various dishes. Intended to be a quick drink and move onto other bars, but 3 glasses of wine and 7 dishes later we strolled home completely happy to have eaten there. The staff were very nice too and everyone worked very hard to keep clients happy. The bar looks modern but still has an emphasis on quality and style.

I was scouring the area, absolutely hangry for at least 45 minutes trying to find somewhere with good ratings that also served food during siesta hour. This place did not disappoint!! Some of the tastiest tapas I’ve had on my trip in Spain. Some traditional and some I haven’t seen anywhere else. They were all delicious and the service was great!!

We have chosen Bardal for my birthday as we live in Marbella and it was nice to have a day in Ronda. The food was amazing, service was good (thought the staff was robotic and does not look welcoming ) and wine pairing was a huge disappointment. I mean it’s not our first experience in Michelin star restaurant with wine pairing and never ever I had to ask to top up the glass and even feel guilty about it 😒 The portions of wine and Champaign were ridiculously small, you could not even accompany food with it as literary was for one sip. Absolutely overpriced (100 euros pp, siх almost empty glasses for 16 course tasting menu), felt like a rip off when we received a bill for almost 600 euros. Not a pleasant experience, unfortunately 🙁

Our lunch at this Michelin-recognized establishment was a pleasant and well-paced culinary experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff offered a warm welcome and promptly guided us to our table. Service throughout the evening was attentive, with our glasses consistently refilled and dishes arriving at a steady, thoughtful rhythm. The interior, while elegant, had a minor drawback—spare cutlery placed behind us occasionally distracted from our focus on the storytelling and composition of the dishes. The waitstaff were courteous and clearly made an effort to explain each course; however, at times, the local Spanish accent made some of the English explanations difficult to fully grasp. That said, the team was quick to clarify when asked, and their professionalism never wavered. A small technical issue with the wine preservation system (not due to staff error) resulted in a slight spill, but this did not detract from the overall wine experience, which was otherwise superb. The food itself was exceptional across the board. Every course was thoughtfully conceived and well-executed, culminating in a standout moment: the second-to-last dessert, an inventive and unexpectedly delightful mushroom-based dish that showed real creativity and finesse. Overall, this was a polished and rewarding dining experience.

Going to a two star restaurant raises expectations. Bardal did not disappoint at anything. Nice setting, friendly waiters. We went for the Bardal menu with the cheese-add-on (because who can resist a cheese cart anyway) which was plenty so glad we did not opt for the grand menu. Bardal offers two kinds of wine pairing. The entry level is called “Selection” while, confusingly, the ‘prestige’ level is called “wine pairing”. Normally we love a ‘prestige’ pairing but the price difference seemed too high for us (€215 versus €100). The wine certainly did not disappoint, in fact, I typically don’t always like the quality of the wine poured at wine pairings but I just like having my food paired with agreeable wines. The wines from Bardal’s Selection pairing however were outstanding, as was the pairing in general. Well deserved accolades from Michelin! Muchas Gracias!

One of the best food experiences in my life. Bardal from the chef Benito Gomez is an incredible choice in the hearth of Ronda. Strongly suggest that you take the menu with the paired wines as well. The restaurant is casual, but the food is spectacular and the chef Benito is super accessible.

One word: excellent. The food, the flavours, the wine pairings, the service, the setting. This was our introduction to Spanish star cuisine and we could not find a fault if we wanted. A menu at Bardal is the perfect follow-up to a visit to the Picasso Museum in Malaga. Because Benito Gómez and his outstanding crew achieve the same degree of abstraction (in terms of tastes and flavours) combined with a substantial concreteness that the painter does. This was really something...thank you.

I had dinner with the wine pairing, which I would highly recommend, although be prepared for 10 glasses of wine. The food is astonishing, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere as one would expect - hushed and relaxed. Went looking for a quick lunch before leaving Ronda and found some of the best food I've eaten at a restaurant! The poke bowl was delicious but the absolute best thing I had was the mini burger. That mini burger will remain in my mind for years to come and is on par with the best burger's I've had in my life. You're in my mind forever mini Dona PaKita burger!

Went in here for a quick drink ( 4 people) to escape the heat. Pleasantly surprised by the variety of food options on the menu. Very international.How often does one get great sushi and burgers at the same place.? Dona Pakita did not disappoint. The sushi was fresh , the tempura prawns were a real treat,lightly battered, plump fresh prawns really, really tasty, best we have ever had. The service was exceptional, Mr Benito and Ms. Andrea were attentive and professional. A truly enjoyable experience and a must visit if you are in Ronda.

We were recommended to try this place by the staff from another restaurant who were just closing the kitchen. Although sushi was recommended, we went with veal flank steak for main (obviously from being hungry), started with breaded and fried olives for starter and finished with raspberrie cheesecake mochi. Staff was really friendly and food was on the table in very reasonable time. Olives were the highlight of the whole meal experience. Such a simple dish packed with flavour, meaty, warm, soft inside, crispy on the outside. This simple starter was incredible and probably addictive. Chef, please do not remove it from the menu!

Hands down, the best sushi place in town! Doña Pakita never disappoints. The service is consistently excellent, and the food quality is top-notch. Every visit is a culinary delight, with fresh, delicious sushi that keeps us coming back for more. If you're looking for a sushi spot with unbeatable taste and service, look no further. And if you’re in the mood for meat, they’ve got a great selection of cuts as well as burgers. It’s one of our go to spots locally and I couldn’t recommend it more. As they say - don’t leave for today what you can eat today!

I recently visited this restaurant and honestly found it quite overrated. They market themselves as contemporary and modern, but they don't even have a proper balanced menu, which made the whole experience feel unbalanced from the start. The biggest letdown for me was the complete lack of vegetarian options—unless you're happy with just papas bravas, which is what we ended up eating. The food wasn’t terrible, but everything was drowned in sauce and mayonnaise. The presentation was also odd: the food came served on what looked like a fake bull's head instead of a normal plate. It didn’t even feel properly cleaned, which was off-putting. The service wasn’t exactly bad, but it felt like they were doing us a favor—quite demanding for no reason. On the positive side, we sat outside, and it was a warm day with a lovely breeze, which made things a bit more enjoyable. That said, given its location in a very touristy area, it’s not just this place—most of the restaurants around seem stuck in time, offering the same uninspired menus. And to top it off, it’s not cheap at all. Prices felt more like something you'd expect in a turistic trap than in a local Spanish spot.

I love this restaurant. The food is amazing! We ordered the SURTIDO DE FERREROS and it was soooo good! It’s so delicious and interesting. The mixed salad was also very fresh. The service is great. The outdoor seating area is very nice.

We had an amazing dinner in this restaurant. Juan Luis and his compañeros looked after us really well and took time to explain the menu, recommend wine. The food was excellent. Those croquetas were the nicest we tasted during our trip. We were sat in the back room on our own as the front was full when we arrived, so it was a little quiet, but we could have a glimpsed at the kitchen with its wood oven! It was a bit pricey, but worth it.

The food was delicious, especially the paella. The stew was very hearty but tasty. Also the seafood pasta was a good choice. The service was very good, we felt very welcome.

Try the fig salad, it is amazing. We ordered a few different tapas of the day and they were all delicious. Sorry no pics, we ate it too fast. Our kids enjoyed everything as well.

My favourite restaurant in my whole Andalucia trip. A shame i only found it on my last night in Ronda. Everything me and my family tried was just delicious... everyone was surrendered. And the server... the nicest.

I understand that Spain is a Spanish speaking country, but you would expect a server to understand SOME English or at least try to work with international customers in such a touristy location. They had no interest in that, and went on to chitchat with their regulars. Food was good, as was the beer. So poor rating is for the lack of service.

Very nice restaurant with nice views. The service was professional but very slow despite hardly anyone in there and plenty of staff. Food nicely presented and my vegetables were nice but the calamare at 20€ was bland and chewy. Husband said his salmon stuffed with prawns was ok but good job he had a big breakfast as was about two mouthfuls. All in all it was ok but would not rush to go back. They did give me gluten free bread and were helpful with knowledge of allergens regarding menu choices

Atmosphere is nice thats why i give it 2 star (one for the atmosphere one for how bad the food tasted). The squid ink rice didnt have enough sauce to eat with the rice, creme brulé is too sweet. Waiters are so rush with everything even tho there is no customer around. Theres no light in toilet also, need to carry torch light inside also. I will give another star for the lovely owner. hopefully this place can be better soon.

The host and waiter were very professional. The view for sunset was beautiful. The portions were very small. For an appetizer I was given 6 ravioli. For my main course I had squid but it was very bland and a biy chewy. The veggies were very good. My husband haf the bachalau and he liked the taste but it was such a small piece of fish.

This is a nice place for a quiet dinner. The waiter was super attentive. I asked for some gluten-free bread which prompted him to make sure that the cooks kept my food separate so that there wouldn’t be any contamination from dishes that contain gluten.

I went here after reading the reviews online and I must say that the food was quite disappointing and not very good. We had 3 starters and a steak and the quality was not it, it was very bland and for nearly 100€ I expected better food and quality. We had seafood (lubina, bacalao and calamars, all very good). Service was meticulous, but unobtrusive. We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the terrace.

Location was amazing and the service was amazing as well. The male waiter was really great and attentive. He was kind as well. We had the jamon and the pate for starter. Both were great, especially the pate with some marmalade and that thing that I forgot the name. The iberico pork loin was amazing as well. It was tender and just delicious. I would love it more if it was still warm when it was served to us. But overall, tummy is happy. The spanish traditional cake was a delight too with coffee.

Our host recommended this restaurant as the best seafood restaurant in Ronda and noted that it was mostly patronised by the locals so it was also quite reasonable. All true and oozing an unpretentious community atmosphere which for lovers of an authentic travelling experience was definitely 5 stars. We agreed to their mixed seafood offer which amounted to 6 entree-sized courses and delighted in a local white wine. Everything was excellent and the food kept arriving at exactly the right time.

The owner is great. I didn't know what he said but I heard "probar" and "un Poco" so I assume it's a Spanish omakase. I enjoyed their service, he was honest when I requested other seafood and he said he only gets the freshest stuff. It's a very local restaurants, amazing atmosphere. I loved the drinks recommendations and the owner has amazing local knowledge of the wines in the area. Great time, great food, an absolute must visit and trust in the process.

We loved our experience here. Very local and authentic. The owner spoke in spanish and they didn’t have a menu. They brought seafood course by course until we said stop. It was worth the experience. We enjoyed it. The squid was our favorite.

Went for lunchtime around 2pm, it was busy but we got seated right away. Owner was very friendly and explained that they basically just bring whatever is fresh that day, so you don't need the menu - a bunch of small plates of almost entirely (very fresh) seafood of all kinds started showing up, with some fried aubergine to start. I'm not really the biggest seafood fan but I liked every single dish that came - all very simple dishes but delicious and fresh. And then the bill came and it was very reasonable for the quality of food we got. Very highly recommend if you like seafood to make sure you prioritize this place while in Ronda!

This restaurant is worth to visit by arranging a dedicate trip to Ronda. The taste is blown away! I order 7 dishes and every dishes is so tasty, some are exceptional. The dessert are very good too, recommended. All 7 dishes and 2 desserts are only 37 Euro. The boss and waiters can not speak English. But it is not a problem and they can recommend the dish for you. As a Chinese, trust me I have eaten a lot of great food. Before this restaurant, I have travelled a week in Spain and follow Google Map guide to dine in average 4.5 rating restaurants every cities: Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, Seville. Our first time in Ronda and just walked into this place. They are only fish and see food. Very interesting way to serve. There’s no menu, they just bring different little fish tapas while explaining to you what you are about to eat. Eggplant chips are a masterpiece

Modern Tapas Bar in Ronda A stylish and well-located tapas bar, perfect for a quick evening stop while exploring Ronda. The exterior looks great at night with fire torches adding to the atmosphere. Prices are slightly high for Spain, but the food is worth it. The satay skewers were excellent, and while the mushroom croquettes were a bit too soft for our taste, the spinach and ham ones were good. A good place for a quick and tasty bite in the evening.

Fantastic selection of tapas and friendly staff. We were made to feel at home in this restaurant and enjoyed the evening meal so much we decided to return for breakfast the next day. This is a very popular place and the food and wine were delicious! I would definitely recommend this to all. A gem in Ronda!!

Stopped here for a break. Too early for lunch but the bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich was lunch sized. Great value at €5. Servers were really friendly as well. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and service. We had lunch and returned for dinner. Ensalada di casa, patatas bravas, garlic prawns and gildas, delicious. Lovely blonde female owner, her son and other staff provide impeccable service. It’s constantly busy, but you are always greeted with a friendly smile. Highly recommended.

When we arrived, we let the staff know we were on a tight schedule because our bus was leaving at 4:20 PM. They seated us right away and reassured us we'd have enough time which we absolutely did. Disappointing. The atmosphere is welcoming but that's it. The food itself, its presentation and the staff didnt meet the expectations. It's a pity because the restaurant has potential. We tried 5 different tapas. Perhaps the other dishes are better but it's hard for us to understand the 4.2 stars. Moderate efforts could really make this place very enjoyable.

Really nice place, away from Ronda very crowded places. We ordered different Kind of Tapas, wich all tasted very good. I really can recommend to eat at that restaurant.

Food was very average and had to wait over 45 mins to get tapas. No one even attempt to communicate even with google translate. Managed to order food but the wait after made us want to walk out. When went to ask about the lateness no staff member wanted to engage and simply made us wait longer. Very poor service and will not be coming back. The locals who came later than us seem to get food served quicker.

Food was great, and the vibe was exceptional! I recommend the stuffed avocado and the pimientos de padron. Service is very attentive and very welcoming as well. You get an awesome experience for a very good price with a nice location right on the central square of San Francisco. Even if it's just for a drink, definitely come here!

Food was blend and tasteless, without herbs/seasoning. We had grilled chickenbreast and Iberian pork shoulder with fries, no vegetables or other things on the plate. Hardly grilled and really without taste and that for € 19 and 12,50. Not worth the money🤔

staffs were very unfriendly even considering how busy the place was. they didnt take orders for 10 minutes, and when i finally ordered the fruit yogurt, i received the one in the photo- which looked nothing like the picture in the menu or in the google review. they even took wrong orders and added museli into the yogurt.. also they made mistake and gave my friend capuccino instead of cafe latte. very cheap and seemed like they had good menues but i do not recommend this place to anyone looking for welcoming and friendly staff or correct menu. 불친절하고 메뉴 다 틀리게 줬어요.. 금요일저녁에 가서 바쁜시간대라 그런건지 몰라도 사진처럼 다른 리뷰들과 다른 요거트;; 일행 모두 기분상해서 나왓어요.

The milkshakes had little taste to them and the taste was barely that of the fruit that went into it. Crepes were nothing special. Avoid the one with white chocolate as there's way too much chocolate: it'll make you sick. Oh and the toilet stall didn't lock and the button for flushing was missing. Staff was friendly but spent too much time inside when all guests were waiting outside. Great choice of beer though.

The food was okay, however for the prices they were not worth it. 7.50 for the tomato, 17 for the meat plate, 17 for the oxtail which was good and tender but lacking a bit of flavor and not living up to the hype. Our final bill was €50 and we were full but a bit disappointed. I think I would have enjoyed this place more with different selections from the menu. The service was great.

The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. The service could have been better. It felt as though the staff wanted us to order, eat, and leave quickly. We were given only one menu for five people, and no drinks menu at first — the server came to take our order before we even had the chance to see it. When we received the drinks menu, it was only in Spanish, while the food menu was available in English as well. But overall good as the food was nice!

It’s a super good bar to have meals here. The oxtail was amazing, tender and full of collagen . And the tomato flowers sauce is really a highlight. The most important the service is kind and friendly , they always smile no matter how busy they are. I’d highly recommend that people should visit here if you are in Ronda

Today, I had dinner here with my wife and son, spending over 60 euros, and it turned out to be the biggest disappointment of my life. Recently visiting Spain, and particularly this restaurant actually, left me with the impression that Spanish people might be spoiled by an abundance of tourists, as they seem to show little respect to their visitors. Starting from the beginning, in our case ar least not only did we wait almost 40 minutes or more for our order to develop, but the staff barely paid any attention to what was happening at our table. We received large plates for the soup which were then taken back, and for the main course, my son had to eat from a small plate despite my repeated requests for a larger one. The waiter also didn’t bother to clean our table even once, and when I finally took myself the empty Coke cans to dispose of them in a trash can, a waiter approached me, grabbed my shirt, and screamed at me aggressively. Surprisingly their manager was no better because when I complained, he never apologized, instead telling me that I was not normal. Regarding the food, it was average at best. The octopus could have been cooked a bit more, while the other two dishes — bulltail stew and another whose name I don’t recall — somehow tasted the same, which was very odd. Overall, this was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant, not only in Spain but everywhere. I definitely do not recommend this place. Not to forget, that a group of teenagers next to our table began to smoke despite not having an ashtray and the restaurant not appearing to be smoker-friendly. For us, as non-smokers, this was a significant issue especially because the waiters did not react to this situation, nor did they care when we brought it to their attention

Wonderful food and friendly service! The rabo de toro was delicious, and enthusiastically approved of by the Jamaican oxtail expert in our party. All the food was great, but the cod tapa and the lamb skewers stood out particularly.

We went to this place early enough to be able to get a table for four, the service was very good and quick, we liked the food but my kids were not very happy about it, but we understood as it was something new for them. I had the bull tail stew and it was like a home made meal. My husband had the octopus leg and that was rhetorical favourite of everyone. One of my kids loved the gambas pil pil but the other didn’t, so it is just matter of taste. Our waiter was very polite and fast. I would definitely recommend a visit.

The food from this place was amazing and I would definitely love to eat it again buttttt i could not believe the price that I paid. I went here with my friends and we only ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas, 1 margarita pizza, and 2 arrabiatta pasta with rigatoni. We got 2 big bottles of water as well. It shouldn’t have been more than €75. Let me know how the check said that we need to pay €155. Supposedly we had to pay for a terrace fee, a service fee, and for a to go bag. I honestly don’t understand how it could be so expensive. Once again, the food and the service was amazing but make sure to read the fine print because it could be a lot more money then you’d expect.

Tasty Pizza. Not a 10/10 but very good and rich toppings. The size was a lot larger than expected, which we appreciated. The pizza base was very thin, so people who like this will find it great. Service was nice and the location (interior) is really beautiful and pleasant.

Finest example of pizzerias. The name goes to Italy but when you taste a slice of a pizza you'll get it. This is Italian style pizza well made. Great customer service by friendly staff. Kids are welcome and noticed. Reasonable prices in the menu, the restaurant is decorated in Mediterranean style. Place worth the travel highly recommended.

Dinner here was delicious!! We ordered the Focaccia with Camembert and caramelized onions, and the Pizza Jardin del Eden. Both were amazing and really hit the spot. After dinner, we enjoyed some espresso and limoncello. Highly recommend!

The hotel has a feel somewhat like a Scandinavian seaside spa. All the staff were very friendly. The rooms are okay – ours had a great view with a lovely balcony – but the furnishings could use an update. The pool is fine, and breakfast is also okay, though everything feels a bit hectic. Overall, the hotel is just okay.

The staff was amazing, the hotel is beautiful, and the room was incredibly cozy. It’s very close to all the attractions Ronda has to offer (5/10minute walk). Breakfast was delicious and we had a gorgeous view from the room it is served in. We will be coming back for sure!

We had a lovely stay at the Catalonia Reina Victoria in Ronda. The hotel was conveniently, located with an easy walk to the main attractions. On-site parking and hotel amenities were a plus, along with the amazing views. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. If we return to Ronda in the future, this hotel will be our first choice.

A relaxing and special stay at this beautiful hotel overlooking the Tajo Gorge. The gardens and grounds are kept immaculately as well as the swimming pool. The room was modern clean and a pleasure to sleep and relax in. The staff are hard working, paying attention to detail making our stay effortless . We ate at the restaurant every evening because it was simply amazing and the views breathtaking. Ivan, David along with all the restaurant staff, made us feel at home with perfect table service, with a warm smile and attentive charm. Their knowledge of local wines and cuisine was also a special note for us. It made our stay perfect. The food was wonderful and the quality of ingredients, high. We can't wait to return.

Our stay in Ronda was perfect. The hotel is ideally located, with convenient parking right on site. The view from the terrace was simply breathtaking, and the restaurant’s food was delicious from start to finish. The spa is on the pricey side, but the service was excellent and worth the treat. We left already planning our return.

We had an AMAZING 3 night stay at Catalonia Reina Victoria. The hotel has magnificent views of the valleys all around. We had the junior terrace suite which has a beautiful terrace. The staff is super friendly. There’s a pool overlooking the valley. Rooms were super clean and new. The only reason I give a 4 star to location is because there’s another Catalonia 10 minutes right at the city center but ours was just an 11 minutes walk to El Tajo and center. We look forward to staying in other Catalonia hotels

Beautiful property in Ronda and great staff. All very accommodating and helpful. Had a massage with Mariam and it was fantastic. Just what I needed to regroup after 9 days of traveling before heading off to our next adventure in Grenada. Fantastic!

we ordered eggs w breadcrumb, goat cheese salad, pork appetizer, and ox tail. Ox tail was reallly fatty and a bit gelatins. Ox tail feeds 2 people not just for one person. The goat cheese salad was delicious! It had so much goat cheese 50% cheese 50% salad. The eggs were not very good, bit bland, would not recommend you order. The pork appetizer was very good. Overall the salad was amazing, the other plates were just good. The portions are very big and not too pricy. Sitting outside is right in the middle of the plaza, very nice atmosphere. They are very busy so get here right when they open at 1.

Extraordinary place to have a late lunch, warm outside but sitting in the shade of trees and surrounded by history. We waited for a bit to be seated as there was no free table outside and they still served us even though it said they should be closed. Really delicious food, I haven’t had such a tasty oxtail dish ever. The octopus tentacle was also very nicely cooked but I have to say the oxtail was just perfect. The green tiny pepper needed maybe a bit more salt but still good. The sangria was very refreshing and a good choice for a hot day. I highly recommend it, taking a well deserved break for lunch and enjoying their delicious dishes. Their prices are really affordable and service is really good.

We came to Ronda on a very busy day in June but the Plaza Duquesa de Parchent, where the highly rated Meson Carmen de la Ronda is located, was pleasantly free of crowds. We loved our food and the service was excellent. We shared the shrimp, apple, spinach, nuts salad and the black rice. Both delicious!! Very pretty area. I ordered the pork with whiskey sauce but it was soo salty. The ox tail and cod were very good so I would recommend those over the plate that I got (I'd rate those dishes a 4/5).We waited quite a while for our food to be served... so be ready for a long wait.

This small bar right next to the historic bridge in Ronda offers great wines and excellent tapas at reasonable prices. The service is superb and Carla's friendliness is infectious. We'll be back again soon.

The food was ok but the attitude and service can definitely be improved. The servants clearly showed they have no interest to serve tourists nicely. We asked to have both English menu and Spanish menu but they said only 1 can be provided, either English or Spanish. It's at the pricey side but again, they have no interest to serve tourists who don't speak Spanish.

Super busy place. Just next to the bridge. We couldn’t get a table elsewhere and Google the next best Ox Tail Stew and found it right here! Staff are friendly, need to wait a while for table but worth the wait. The ox tail was so flavourful and quite a big portion, price is reasonable!! Lots of meat choices. We enjoyed staying in this hotel much! The staff are absolutely friendly and helpful. We are welcomed by the smiley face and joyful greeting. My daughter had lost a toy near reception. Although it was not found at the end, the staff sincerely helped to check in detail. Location is perfect. Room is clean and tidy. We enjoyed staying here a lot would definitely come again in future.

Parador de Ronda is nearly flawless. From the moment you step into reception, you're treated like a VIP. The room and views are stunning, and the attention to detail is remarkable—even the lotion and hand soap bottles include Braille for visually impaired guests. The thick walls and doors ensure excellent sound insulation, making the room exceptionally quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delightful, and service throughout was impeccable. The location itself is breathtaking, perched above dramatic cliffs with panoramic views. The only drawback: due to the building’s size and heavy construction, Wi-Fi reception in my room was poor and unreliable. Aside from that, everything was perfect.

I rarely write reviews, but I believe it’s important to raise awareness about what happened during my family’s visit today. We had a confirmed reservation for 1:00 PM and arrived 20 minutes early, fully understanding that we might need to wait. The restaurant staff initially asked us to wait, which was fair. However, what happened next was unacceptable. When the waiter finally approached us, he said that all window tables were full and pointed us toward a table in the middle of the restaurant. As I was trying to understand the situation, he began gesturing toward the door, asking us to leave. I calmly asked to speak with the manager, and only then did he suddenly offer a window table, contradicting what he had said moments earlier. We stepped outside politely to wait for the remaining 20 minutes until our reservation time , we had no intention of leaving. However, immediately after, the waiter shut the door and locked it, right in front of us. That act alone was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. It was only after that moment that we decided to leave. As paying guests who made a proper reservation and behaved respectfully, this experience was deeply disappointing. I hope management looks into this behavior seriously, as it completely undermines the hospitality expected from such a renowned location. The view may be beautiful, but respect and professionalism are what truly define a restaurant.

The scenery and location of this place are absolutely stunning, both day and night. I highly recommend staying here. What touched me the most was the exceptional service, dedication, and warm attitude of the hotel staff. I had accidentally left some clothes in my room before moving on to a hotel in Barcelona, and they kindly shipped them to me without any issues, ensuring my trip went smoothly. I am deeply grateful for their unforgettable kindness — it’s a service I will remember for the rest of my life. If I ever visit Ronda again, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

The rooms need a refresh, and unfortunately, some of the staff are quite rude and unhelpful. Simple things—like informing guests that they have to register cars going to the hotel to avoid a fine from the police—are overlooked. Want to order something at breakfast? You’ll have to work hard to get the attention of the waiters. The views are great, though.

A good hotel but not great. Wonderful staff but the room is okay but dull. Ridiculously thin tissues and toilet paper, just not right for a hotel of this standard. Some design faults too, you'll have to stand in the bath to get to the taps which is rather awkward and difficult to get out of, particularly if you are elderly. The location is the best in Ronda and the views from the windows are just sensational.

Best place to stay in Ronda! We chose this place for one night, to celebrate our engagement that very day. Everything was perfect and the whole experience felt like a dream. We chose the Duplex apartment with views towards the mountains and towards the Mirador de Ronda, from where we could hear the guitar playing throughout the day from the balcony. The views are absolutely spectacular, we ended up spending most of the evening admiring the views and enjoying the songs from nearby. The room was also amazing, it has two levels, two bathrooms and even a jacuzzi. Everything was very clean and good looking, I would even dare to say more modern than expected from a hotel with such a history. The hotel is currently renovating its facade but apart from the cafe being closed, there was nothing else to worry about. The staff was also lovely. I chose a special package for my fiancee, which included a champagne bottle and a fruit dessert, and we also had rose petals throughout the rooms, it was very cute and romantic as you can see in the photos. We also had access to the pool which was very nice - water was clean, fresh and the pool area was wonderful, with views towards Puente Nuevo and the mountains. The price was not even that high especially given the central location, how big the apartment was and all the amenities of the hotel. Overall, I would say this was the best place to stay in Ronda for a special occasion like this. A very romantic and memorable stay, we will for sure come back here after some time!

Really tasty wood-fired pizza - one of the best I’ve tasted and I am very fussy. It’s off the beaten track and down a street with many other restaurants before it. Please persevere and continue to the end and don’t be tempted by the other very pushy staff of the surrounding restaurants - who we saw literally standing in the way of people! The staff Il Forno were polite and helpful - not pushy at all - and I would urge anyone to try the food as you will not be disappointed!

I spotted the sample pizza in the street and this made us go back to visit the restaurant. It wasn’t busy at the time with maybe 4 tables of customers and yet the one pizza which we ordered to share took around 45 minutes to appear! During this wait I began to watch the cook who left the restaurant at one point and walked round the corner and also later had a rest at a table after chopping vegetables. No wonder it took so long! He was the only guy doing the pizzas. The pizza itself was nice when it arrived but sadly not really worth the wait. A shame as it could be great place. I have my suspicions about this business.

There are many pizza places to dine in Ronda, but this one has the Provolone (added truffle 🤩) and Pizza Bread, which is worth the visit alone! Paired with sangria, and it was amazing 👏

The food was nice. We had pizza capricossa and beef with mushrooms. Pizza was great, they have oven and you can see pizza baking but the beef was just ok. Not bad not very good, i had better ones. The staff was very nice. Anyway 4 stars is still pretty good review.

The place was freezing cold, and they didn’t turn on the heating even after we mentioned it. The pizza was good, but they rushed us through the entire dinner — they basically kicked us out while we were still finishing our meal. We asked for dessert (which was already prepared), and they told us the kitchen was closed. The staff were unfriendly and the atmosphere was far from welcoming — a shame, because the pizza really deserved better.

The pizza was huge and delicious! Everyone loved it. We were a group of 8 and got served quickly and at the same time. The cheesecake was tempting but I was too full. The only annoying thing was one kitchen staff kept passing between us and the dessert fridge, a tight squeeze…when the restaurant was empty and a slightly longer path would not interrupt us so many times.

Everything they had looked delicious. We chose two sweets and they were very tasty and at a good price. Didn’t have too much time to sit for a coffee too, but enjoyed the little time there. The lady who attended us was also very nice.

Beautiful little bakery. Lots of gorgeous creations and delicious coffee. This is the place for sweets. They have a bathroom all well. Staff was kind and helpful.

Great stop. I couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were, considering everything offered looked like a work of art. We got coffees, a delicious layered chocolate cake, and an incredible pistachio cream pastry.

Claim they sell gluten free items on google, yet I arrived and I was absolutely disgusted to the shocking news that they had no gluten free options. If you can’t consume gluten don’t trust this establishment.

Internet sais that this is the best place to have churros, so I gave it a try. I wasn’t disappointed! The churros are very good and when you dip them in chocolate is the dream😂 Also, I have never had churros this big. The service was fast, and the waitress very dinamic.

I had churros and chocolate milk for lunch and it was great. The location is somewhat in the market or Ronda and they have very accessible patio sitting.

Very good churros, especially having Cinnamon-Sugar made these churros slightly nicer than others we had. Chocolate to the churros was also fine, but nothing could have been a bit better. Nevertheless very good choice!

The service is really good and the waitress was very kind. We got one serving of churros and coffee. Churros is nice and coffee is enough for people who do not seek high quality. The price is very good! Their iced coffee is a bit weird...you have to pour the coffee over the ice.on your own and we were a bit scared the glass will break. One portion of churros is huge, however, we were not sure about the taste. It was a bit salty which we weren't expecting.

Since the bus was running out, we took take out. I thought it would be difficult to eat chocolate dip on the bus, so I only ordered churros. However, the churros were too salty for my taste. I think chocolate was a must. It's a shame.

YES, YES , YES!!!! In order to say you had an authentic Churro from Spain you have to try one here in Ronda, Spain. The cafe is on the main street and is always busy. So, have some patience and it will be worth it. The aromas of Alba are intoxicating and don't forget to get the chocolate dipping sauce. Likewise, the waitresses are super friendly and very pretty inside and out.

Very disappointed. I paid 12 euros for a small, dry, tasteless caesar salad. Dry, tasteless chicken, dry salad leaves and way too much mayonnaise, paired with dry bread. The coffee was the only decent thing, I quite liked that.

Excellent food, good prices and the atmosphere is great. Our waiter was also great, with well spoken english, giving excellent recommendations.

UNREAL. The steaks are very well prepared. And, though the Tarte de Chocolate comes in a tin, it is very, very fresh, and exquisite. It's like a chocolate lava cake decided to be a pie, met a Bill Cosby chocolate puddin' pop, and then had an angelic baby.

What a gem! Not only was the food delicious, the presentation made me feel like I was in a Michelin rated restaurant instead of a local eatery. We ate two of the specials: a mango, shrimp and avocado salad to start then pork picaña.

Loved Bar El Converto! Had one of our favorite dishes in Spain at this restaurant - Tartar de aguacate y langostinos (avocado with shrimp and mango). Incredible presentation with amazing flavor. Also enjoyed the Alcachofas aliñadas (artichokes). Delicious artichokes in olive oil with olives and little bits of what tasted like bacon. The woman who was our waitress or perhaps the manager was extremely friendly, giving us suggestions on what to order. She brought out a great red wine that was my favorite I’ve had in Spain - “A Pasos Roble 2019”, from Ronda. We also got a small sweet wine after dinner drink that was fun to end the meal. The location is a bit out of town but totally worth the walk. Will come here again the next time we are in Ronda.

Best meal we have had so far in our Spain trip! Although it’s a bit far away from the center, the deliciousness of the food worths the walk and the time! The taste of the dishes is beyond words, especially the “lamb skewer” and “the leek and shrimp tissues”. We would like to revisit sometime in the future🥹

Nice restaurant hidden in the other side of the town. The scallop and prawn tapa, and the avocado tartar were simply stunning and delicious - even a bit too stunning as there was quite a lot ongoing. But nevertheless, the scallops were perfectly cooked and the avocado worked well with sweet onion and fruits. We had also snails, but they were snails and my friend likes them. They were really busy and apologized about it, but we were not bothered due to their extreme friendliness.

Absolutely amazing. I’ve been two times and they have both been outstanding. Everything, from the drinks to the food through desserts and service have been 100%. Prices are also very good and competitive. Highly recommend :)

Simply the best place to eat in Ronda. Generous portions perfect to share and great tapas. High quality, tasty and very well cookek food. We had Presa Ibérica and Revuelto de Patatas con Chorizo y Morcilla, and 2 tapas, more than enough for the three of us and delicious. Good value for money. Nice decoration and very nice and charming people.

Only a minute from Plaza España, but this felt like a hidden gem, despite the multi-lingual menus on display in the lane on Calle Pedro Romero. Perhaps it was because we were in relatively early (8pm) on a Monday night in January, but we were the only seated diners in our whole time there, but there was also a flow of regulars at the bar which is always a good sign. Our mission had been paella, so 2 paella mixtas (12EUR each) it was. A reassuring wait (so definitely made fresh!) of about 30 minutes later, we were well rewarded. Very tasty and generously laden with prawn, squid, pork, mussels etc. Washed down by a Ronda wine (14 EUR). Limited/no English from waiter, but even if you speak no Spanish, I imagine you could manage fine with the help of the English menu. Not touristy, definitely recommended!

Extremely friendly waiter sets El Porton apart. The Rabo de Toro with patatas is excellent and the location couldn't be better for visitors walking along the main street; a stone's throw from the Plaza de Toros. We live in Ronda and appreciate the warmth and authenticity here.

This place was very average. Lamb chops were incredibly small. Like from a kids menu. Paella was soooo skimpy on seafood. Pizza was burnt. Dont let the small village feel fool you. Please don't come here. I never leave this bad of a review.

Lovely little tapas bar restaurant with a range of traditional meals. We sat outside in the alley in the shade of 2 buildings and had a range of vegan paella, seafood paella, swordfish, croquettes, chips and pizza! A bottle of local rose and some beers. It was pricier than the previous day at the smaller but quaint Grazalema!

I had mango and lemon flavor, it doesn’t feel like it was made by real fruit. I was disappointed by the quality of the gelato due to the 4.5 rating on Google maps.

Excellent gelateria in Ronda main street with some "exotic" flavours worth a try. "Puffo" and "bubble gum" were GREAT, finally something different from the usual tastes. Price for the size of scoops is also very good, I'll go back for sure!

Excellent artisanal gelato. Prices are good and they have options with no sugar. Staff is friendly. Strongly recommend to go there if you are in Ronda during a hot summer day.

Really good ice cream, especially the Bandolero flavor, reaaally good! The happy hippo and Delirio de Ronda we’re nice too. The yoghurt with Strawberry was less our favorite. When you go here, bring cash, they don’t accept cards, that’s why they get 4 stars instead of 5 😉

You HAVE to get the Kinderbueno gelato here. It is to DIE for. The gelato was creamy, sweet and delicious. It was also a very generous serving for being in a cup, for only €2,10. It is worth walking up the street a little bit more, away from the bridge just for this. Plus, then you feel a little better about indulging in this sweet delight.

Great place where u can buy ham olive oil wine and you can sit for quick tapas and the best of it there is kids corner where kids can play while parent enjoy their glass of wine and jomon ham 😀

We were very lucky to be staying next to this place! Arrived late Sunday evening and we walked past this amazing place and said we are definitely having breakfast here !! This magical retro style place with its 80’s gadgets, even had a Scalextric! :) The Deli has a massive range of Jamon and cheese. A good selection of wines too. The staff very friendly and efficient. Oh and the food divine 😋 If you’re visiting Ronda, it’s a must!!

Small but eccentric and friendly. Not the widest range of cakes and pastries but good seating and quiet without being silent. Have been served by the same male waiter for the last 2 days and same efficient service each time. Becoming one of our favourite coffee spots in Ronda...

Awesome place for breakfast (5g jamón with fresh orange juice was my favourite) and to buy local products (jamón, OLIVE OIL, cheese, chocolates, turrón etc) to take home!! & the staff were very helpful and friendly. :-)

Our family of fove was very welcome at the restaurant. Portions were big, service was friendly and English-speaking. The entire grilled sole was lovely and fresh, the veggies nice and garlicky. The pork dish was ok. Mixed salad was with tuna (nust so you know). House red wine and beer were good. Desserts - lemon mousse and chocolate cake were amazing and coffee was nice and strong. Good value for money.

I would never come back to this place ever again. I would not recommend it to anyone who is visiting Ronda. We had couple of beers after a long walk in the city. We realized that they charged us 6,50 EUR per 1 draft beer. As we live in Spain we were very surprised about the prices. This is not a 5 star hotel - this is a standard Spanish bar / restaurant. We asked for a drinks price list as we couldn't believe our check. They confirmed that they do not have a drinks price list which is not legal. After disputing the prices they charged us 5,50 EUR per beer however the whole experience was awful. They simply lied to us because we talked in English, but we are local. Unbelievable.

Don't go here if you're on a day trip and time's an issue. We had to ask for the bill twice, with the waitress acknowledging us both times then returning multiple times to take new orders from the tables around us with no sign of our bill. After waiting 20 minutes, we eventually took our bill to the front to pay and had to wait for them to tot it up and be presented to us without so much as a smile. Even when I took the money out there was no interest from them to actually take it, so we had to leave it on the bar before heading out. On passing one of our waitresses on the way out, she didn't make any effort to smile or say goodbye. Food was okay, although both the fish dishes we ordered came with shredded lettuce with onion (their idea of a salad) and the bread we were given was stale and no olive oil offered to us with it. Quite why our tour guide recommended this is beyond me unless we caught them on a particularly poor day.

I first had dinner at El Patio in September 2000 and had a fantastic and memorable meal. 24 years on I returned and had another fantastic and memorable meal.

Fantastic experience at this tapas bar in Ronda! The bull's tail was tender and flavorful. Cruzcampo beer complemented the food perfectly. Atmosphere and service were top-notch. I recommend eating at the bar!

A nice little cafe which sells fresh juice, coffee and cocktails. We went there twice during our two day trip in Ronda. The price was reasonable and the juice was very tasty and refreshing. We enjoyed sitting in the little peaceful and quiet alley staying away from all the crowds just 100 metres in the plaza nearby.

For a vegetarian missing vegetables this place was a blessing. Everything freshly prepared at the moment ordered. Kind and friendly employee. Quiet location. Umbrellas to shade from the sun. Familiar food from the US as well as local favorites. Reasonable prices.

WOOOW!!! 😍😍😍 It's such a super nice restaurant with so lovely owners that I've like no words for it.... And I'm nearly every day in restaurants. They where super friendly and gave me even new creations to try. The healthy bio food was sooo delicious, every single flavor was awesome, that I'm a bit sad to leave Ronda today and hadn't the chance to try more of their tasty meals. So it's a HUGE recommendation to just give it a try and experience that enjoyment 😊

A beautiful place away from the tourist traffic, excellent Sherry wine and amazing fresh juices, nice and smiling service, the only small thing to complain about is the bland taste of the cappuccino coffee, but that's about everyone's taste and taste, the rest was great.

The shopkeeper wasn’t willing to speak any English even though she clearly understands it. The only time she spoke English was when she was collecting £6 from me. I had a very bad experience here, and the food was not worth the price. I ordered takeaway because she wanted to close before 4pm. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, I would recommend not bothering with any of the restaurants here. Go straight to the grocery and buy whatever you can. This is not a vegan-friendly town.

Over the course of 2 summer days in Ronda, I stopped in at this cafe 3 or 4 times for a fresh juice. Each one was delicious, and the staff was attentive and and efficient.

Great variety of delicious flavours at fair and affordable prices. After walking in the hot sun to see Punto Nuevo and the views, this was a wonderful tasty treat. If they have Banofee and you like bananas go for it!

Friendly and helpful staff that allows us to try some of the the ice cream flavors before deciding which one to order. We went for the chocolate and biscuits and the blackberry which is refreshing and tasty. Enjoyed the little biscuits and berries in the ice cream that gives more texture to the ice cream. The texture of the ice cream is soft and airy, not sticky like a gelato, we enjoyed this lightness after having a long walk around Ronda on a hot and sunny afternoon. Love the seating outdoor as well, not all the ice cream shops provide free seating on this main tourist shopping street.

Super unfriendly. Rushed us through our orders just to return back to chatting with each other. Even if the ice cream was okay (pricey), that feels really annoying. First time in our trip to Spain where we experienced this kind of rudeness… recommendation: continue just a few meters up the hill and you find enough other heladerias that can’t be more unfriendly.

HORRIBLE. Tiny serving of ice cream. The girl serving it was rude. Overpriced. Also the store smelled like a dead turtle who was probably depressed his whole life.

We sat down, asked for a menu, which we got. Later when she returned to take our order she said literally nothing on the menu was available except a rice dish, or a plate of fries. Three of us ordered the rice dish. We then watched her open up 3 prepackaged dinners and microwave them. They were so small. 20 euros later, when I told her how disappointed I was, she just shrugged. Terrible experience in an amazing little town.

Got a tiny bit of meat on three large rib bones. Around 6-7 fries with it. Zero seasoning or flavour, and €7. Tapas not available for some reason today (Sunday evening). Atmosphere in the square is great though. Beer €2 which is not bad. The other offerings or the tapas could be good, but I strongly recommend avoiding the “Costillas de la Casa”.

We enjoyed lunch very much. Sitting outside in the shadow of the trees with light breeze it was a super relaxing time we spent during exploring Ronda and neighborhood villages. Food was delicious. Waiter very friendly, atmosphere of local society away from tourist who preferred to cross the bridge in a city. :)) I really recommend to start from here.

It is such a beautiful place under the trees on the square. The food is superbe and the service super friendly. Menu in Spanish and English. Lots of choice from small, delicious tapas, dishes to share, to fabulous main courses. We went twice and were thrilled!

Hotel sits right in the best location. The valet (I can’t remember his name) was fantastic. Met us at our car across the street and helped with bags, directions, etc. He was great. Our stay was Oct 5-6 if that helps to figure out who he was. He serves recognition as he was our first point of contact with anyone from the hotel. Our room overlooked the bull ring. Sunsets from the rooftop terraces are spectacular. Breakfast was decent but more importantly convenient.

Such a lovely hotel, rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location looking over the bullring. Pool area was small but nice with great views. Only negative was the pool water was very cold. The roof top bar was stunning with amazing views.

Excellent hotel. Highly recommend this property. We chose a junior suite with a view of the Bull Ring and valley. Front desk staff was excellent and handled any request we needed. Bar staff was efficient, courteous and helpful with a special request. Ronda is a hidden gem. Small town with a welcoming vibe.

The staff was super nice, upgrading our room to a larger suite overlooking the bull ring. We had some laundry done in a hurry since we got to town late and we're only staying one night. They rushed it through for us and refused to let us pay for it. The hotel is perfectly located on the main road right at the intersection of the main shopping street. It has old world charm and modern convenience. The restaurant was very good, but breakfast was a bit of a mad house. We skipped it and got a delicious croissant down the street for a few euros. It was a great experience.

Fabulous hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms large by European standards and very well equipped. They seem to have been recently (Oct 2025) refurbished. Bar on the fourth floor has a large outdoor terrace with a stunning view of the bulk ring and mountains (see picture). Restaurante Bardal, with two Michelin stars, is 100’ from the hotel.

Exceptional check in experience from Diego and Antonio. Lovely big room, shame we couldn't have stayed longer to make more use of it. Appreciated the free glass of Cava for joining the loyalty programme. Our only minor point was we asked to booked dinner and were advised we could only have a reservation at 6.30 or 8.00pm. The later time suited us so we booked only to turn up to an empty restaurant? It was confusing and lacking in the atmosphere you get from a busy restaurant. Nevertheless, the service was good and the food delicious (Oxtail Canaloni and Entrecote Steak) We were recommended a red wine from Ronda which we enjoyed.

Overall, Azahar is a decent restaurant. We tried an array of different dishes, and all ingredients were absolutely fresh and the dishes themselves were reasonably tasty, albeit quite simple. Not quite at a level of Michelin establishments, but still good. Service is okay: the staff is courteous, but we would have preferred a little more guidance on the wine rather than just “we have sweet or sour wines”. It is definitely on the pricey side, and I am not sure whether the pricing reflects the overall quality and the experience. Yes, the view is nice, but given the simplicity of the menu and compared to other restaurants in the area, it does seem a bit overpriced. Also, when sitting outside on the terrace, be prepared to be surrounded by wasps. The staff tries to deal with the problem by lighting some smoke candles, but this makes your clothes smell of bonfire. We recommend staying inside to avoid both the wasps and the smoke.

My experience was very pleasant and everything was perfect 😊. Ivan's service was wonderful, thank you very much for your attention and kindness. The food was delicious, with care, beautiful dishes, a pleasant place with a beautiful view. It's a place for lunch or dinner that you have to go to and I recommend you try the full tasting menu, it's a very good price with wine included, you leave there very satisfied. The croquettes are delicious, the rice with seafood was very tasty and the dessert was divinely delicious. There weren't many restaurants that I considered 5 stars, but this restaurant is a place that makes me want to return several times and the food was memorable.

Great views, good food! We had a lovely meal in Azhar - the mango & spinach salad, the croquettes and the salmon were all very tasty. It was let down a bit by the lack of any main course for vegetarians (especially if the vegetarian is an 11 year old!) plus they failed to inform us there was a kids menu (we overhead them telling the table next door) and the kids didn’t love the options that they had (although my son loved the fried fish). There are nice wines by the glass. Service was very good. I recommend it!

My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Catalonia Ronda Hotel last week. After a lengthy walk around this beautiful town, with no reservations, we were able to secure one of the last tables in the Azahar Restaurant. We were so very lucky! So far, our stay at this hotel and that dinner is the best we’ve experienced in Spain! The food was exceptional and the service outstanding! We were fortunate enough to be served by Ivan and Marina. It was an extremely busy evening and they did an outstanding job serving all of their patrons with grace, kindness and efficiency. A heartfelt thank you to the Chef that evening, Xavier and also Alvaro at the front desk. It was truly a memorable experience!

The views of this place are amazing but the food is nothing special. The entree (avocado salad, cheese croquettes) and dessert (chocolate brownie) were good but the mains (iberian pork and sea bass) were lacking taste, pork overcooked and the fish had a lot of bones in it. Given the price of the main courses would have expected more.

We reserved and we were greeted on time. We were one of the first to be seated for the evening meal. All was well until we placed our drink order, one wine had to be asked for again, one water never arrived. Then we ordered the main course and were told it would be 20-30 minutes so we should order an appetizer, which we did. Cheese and cold meat which arrived about 15 minutes later. The main course did arrive about 40 minutes. The Ox tail was well received, the salad was ok the pork and steak were okay (gamey flavor). We seldom were checked in with, while some tables were overlooked and some were well served. Overall the food was not memorable, the location is stunning at sunset, the service is very disorganized for a top tier restaurant. Everyone was friendly and there seemed to be plenty of staff. At the end we were asked about our meal and then realized we had not received one of the desserts. At that point we just wanted to leave to get a bottle of water and rehydrate from the overly salty meal. Get a drink and sit outside at sunset.

It’s a shame, was great place and maybe would be again if they had capable staff. The last two times we left without ordering after watching a completely useless waitress walking around with a single glass of something, while a queue of people were waiting to pay and leave. The rest of the staff had important things to chat about behind the bar. Same thing again 3 weeks later: watching the waitress smile at you every time she passes by instead of taking at least the drink order and then waiting on people who arrived 15 minutes later… Most frustrating experience. Won’t be repeated.

Us 4 adults and 2 children had an excellent dining experience this lunchtime. The generous portions of ham, egg and chips, bravas alioli, 2 burgers, calamari, goats cheese salad, breaded chicken and croquettes we ordered were all so tasty. Our waiter was very pleasant and kindly offered to bring us some fresh chicken free of charge when my daughter accidentally tipped hers onto the floor. It’s got a clean, modern interior and nice toilets! If we’re in Ronda again we will definitely return. Thank you guys!

The (digital/QR) ordering system is quite convenient. Staff was really active serving our orders out and maintaining our table. It may not have been the best tapas I had in Spain but it was enjoyable.

The perfect stop between the Ronda train station and all the beautiful vistas of Ronda. Lots of locals here. Don’t wait until you get into the city centre to have a bite where it will be crowded and many more tourists! Stop here. We stumbled into Taberna Mi Manuela by accident, but what a find!. The food was spectacular. We shared the smoked salmon tartar, which was delicious. My wife enjoyed the chickpeas dish and I had the pork knuckles, a truly outstanding dish. Friendly atmosphere and service. The head chef speaks English, which helps.

Such lovely people running a bar. So refreshing to have a couple who are enthusiastic and who are so respectful of their clients deciding to choose their wonderful establishment. They make you feel so welcome. Service with a genuine smile. That's hard to come by these days.

We went with group of friends and our kids. Warm welcome, they put tables for us together outside the restaurant. Staff extremely helpful and nice (the waiter even offered spaghetti off the menu for the small ones - we were surprised he went to the next shop to buy them :)). They have gluten free options. Every single thing we ordered here was delicious! The chef is obviously uniquely talented. Our salad was perfect, as was the chef’s special eggs with mushrooms and prawns. The meatballs with almond sauce? Exquisite! Family run indeed, and the chef is adorable.

Hidden gem in the heart of Ronda! I have no words! We feel so lucky to have been introduced to this place. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious, carefully prepared, and made with love. Even the most classic cold cut, chicharrón de Cádiz, was magical. And what can I say about the timbal salad—simply outstanding. We went for a drink and stayed for dinner earlier this week. The entire night was amazing. My Spanish is very basic and the staff were the most welcoming, patient and lovely staff. The food was super delicious! We were able to converse enough to try different wines and they gave great suggestions for food selection. They didn't laugh at my Spanish or dismiss me. They seemed genuinely interested if we liked it and made us feel so welcome (which as a tourist in Spain does not always happen). It was such a lovely atmosphere. The whole thing was so good, we ended up eating and drinking way more than we intended. I would definitely go back if we had a 2nd night, wouldn't look for anything different. Cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you for a great night.

We noticed this restaurant and decided on a light meal and a coffee. We had one of the breakfast specials and a coffee each. The coffee was honestly one of the best we have had in Spain. The service is good and friendly, great views and best of all, more relaxed than closer to the centre. If we were staying in Ronda longer we would return here. Found this place upon arrival to magical Ronda. A hidden gem location and view wise, very calm and peaceful setting restaurant compared to the very crowded and noisy old town. Waiter was very nice to us and was quick with our orders. The food was okay, definetely worth considering trying something, but the cost was a little on the pricier side. The smoothie is also worth a try — truly a nice selection of freshly mixed juices (photo included). The atmosphere is nice and windy, however the music was turning off and was inconsistently turned on again, which bugged a little. Worth a visit, the place is definitely better than a regular restaurant you would find in the busy city centre.

Such a lovely place with fresh, flavorful food! The gazpacho was absolutely delicious — perfectly chilled, rich in taste, and so refreshing. I also tried one of their fruit smoothies, and it was just as impressive — vibrant, naturally sweet, and full of fresh flavor. A great spot if you’re looking for something light, healthy, and satisfying. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere made it even better. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Terrible bocadillo with jamon - threw it straight in the bin!!! all the ends and fat from the jamon hidden in bread- complete rip off for €5.90 one to absolutely avoid!

Charging false prices. 5.90 for a bocadillo with jamon iberico that is advertised at 3.90. They even confirmed the price when I asked for clarification. When I came back to ask for my 2€ back they were closed although google maps says they are open
