The Grand Pier

Amusement park
The Grand Pier in Weston Super Mare is a renowned landmark that offers a classic seaside experience. It features an array of attractions, including indoor rides, arcade games, and a funfair at the end of the pier. Visitors can also enjoy treats like candy floss and ice cream while taking in the scenic views of the sea and beach. The pier's grand pavilion houses various entertainment options, from slot machines to a ghost train called the 'Castle of Doom'.
The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare is a great place for a fun day out. There’s something for everyone, whether you're visiting with family, friends, or just looking for a bit of seaside nostalgia. The arcade games and rides inside are a big hit with kids and adults alike. There’s a nice mix of classic games and modern attractions, including a small indoor roller coaster and a 4D cinema. The pier also has places to grab a bite to eat, from tasty fish and chips to sweet treats like donuts and ice cream. The views out to sea are lovely, especially on a clear day, and walking along the pier gives you that classic British seaside experience. It’s clean, well-kept, and has a lively, friendly atmosphere. Overall, the Grand Pier is a fun and affordable way to spend a few hours by the sea. A must-visit if you're in Weston-super-Mare! Parking can be found opposite the pier on the main road or in the town. Free motorcycle parking down the main road on the beachfront. Free toilets in the pier, but the pier is £2 each to enter. Well worth it!

We had an amazing time at The Grand Pier and Weston-super-Mare! The beach was lively with so much to do rides, food stalls, ice cream, and activities for everyone. The sand was absolutely amazing and so soft, perfect for relaxing or playing with the kids. We stayed to watch the sunset, which was phenomenal! The only downsides were that the water was quite dirty and stayed far out most of the day, only coming closer around 6 in the evening. Overall though, it was such a fun and memorable day out. Definitely worth a visit
Maria H — Google review
I wish they had a sunny beer terrace on the top floor of the pier—it would make a huge difference. Watching the sunset with a beer in hand is the kind of memorable experience people come back for. Many piers in California offer that, and it really elevates the visit. I also noticed a few loose floorboards that caused someone to stumble, so hopefully those get fixed sooner rather than later.
Evgeny N — Google review
To be honest I feel that charging people to enter the pier at £2 per person is a bit cheeky. However as it was summer holidays there was free face painting and kids characters walking about for photo opportunities so I guess this paid for itself. I took the children to the dinosaur soft play but it wasn’t particularly dino themed, they got bored easily as not the biggest play area. Arcades are large and varied, plenty of toilets dotted about. I chose not to eat so can’t comment on the food. I would say it’s ok to kill a few hours on maybe a rainy day.
Michael C — Google review
The rides were great fun, and the wristband offers good value for unlimited rides. Just be aware that go-karting requires closed-toe shoes—so no sandals! The 2p machines were entertaining but a bit stingy with the prizes. Also, the £2 initial entrance fee to the pier feels a little steep, especially if you're just planning a short visit. It was a great way to spend time together and make some happy memories.
Peter A — Google review
Day out to Weston Supermare and a wander down the pier. £2 entry through turnstiles. Lovely walk - or there’s a free train- we came back on the train being big kids, or rather we were full from a delicious lunch at Tiffany’s. Great views out to sea - tide was out so it was mostly sand! Played on a few machines in the arcade but didn’t win anything!
Roz M — Google review
Got loads to do for kids and big kids! Tickets in advance save you time when you get there. We bought the £30 wristbands which are well worth it if you're planning on spending the full day there, but if adults aren't going on or in anything paying £2 to get in might be the better one if you're mainly there for the amusements
KTY — Google review
£2 to enter and then be prepared - if you have kids - to pump endless 2ps into the machines to win assorted tat worth about 30p. But if you like amusements then you've a good selection for when the rain inevitably pours. The pier itself is well maintained and I guess the £2 entry fee goes towards keeping the structure going, so that's something. Provides great views back over WSM and also a photogenic location for sunsets. Worth a visit if you're walking the seafront, which itself has been much improved over recent years.

Public parking space
The Sovereign Shopping Centre in Weston-super-Mare is a vibrant retail hub with over 30 stores, including popular brands like JD Sports, Marks & Spencer, and the Body Shop. Located in the heart of town and just a short walk from the waterfront, this modern shopping center offers a diverse range of shopping and dining options. Visitors can explore the nearby pedestrianized area of Weston-super-Mare High Street, which features local department stores and well-known retailers.
I was surprised how big wsm shopping was fair few shops I was very impressed. Lots of independent cafés and lovley walks along the front. We parked along the beach pay and display card and cash payment available at machine. Few public toilets about to 20p to enter
Jam C — Google review
Busy shopping centre in the heart of WSM. Some big name shops and eateries in here. Good carparking too.
Graeme W — Google review
Everything you need is here! The Sovereign is a nicely designed shopping centre with a clean, tidy atmosphere and a pleasant interior. Good selection of shops and a comfortable place to take a walk or do some quick shopping in the heart of Weston-super-Mare.
Yarys — Google review
Only really went into the centre to use the toilet, but the shopping centre looked ok, unlike the rest of WSM, which looked tired and shut down. I couldn't believe it,when asked to pay £14.00, to park on the beach. We ate at Tiffany's at the end of the pier, Thetford and service was appalling
John — Google review
Parked here as it was central for other places we wanted to visit. Small selection of shops o the centre - depends what you want really. Good value parking. Decent sized spaces. Stairs or lifts to all floors.
Roz M — Google review
Used the parking, not a dog friendly place as you can't take a dog through the Mall, you have to walk out all the way through the car park whuce is a total pain especialy if you've had to park on level 3 or 4 and you have a disability as dogs are t allowed in the lift and stairs. NOT PET Friendly.
Ian T — Google review
Usually go here for the car park, which is convenient for the sea front, the centre and the town centre. As a shopping centre it's OK with some useful shops.
Lewis H — Google review
Hi there, I went to enjoy the day in the pier with my family of four couldn’t wait for the day ahead, then we used the car park and then travelled down the glass elevators and eventually got down while holding our nose as of a rather sewage smell too it. Then as we rushed to the pier we had a great time and even got a lovely mr whippy 99 ,bit like my body count, hahah. Well as we went back after a cracking day out my son billy. Or as his friends call him big bill needed the loo. When he entered he came running out smeared in brown stains. Then I decided to enter the loo and I was met with the same sewage smell as the elevator and then I went in the cubicle distinct with the stench. And then a hand appeared out of the bog and hurled a humongous log at me which splatted my face and big bill even mistakenly thought it was a chocolate log and began munching as always.

The Italian Gardens is a delightful oasis just outside the bustling city center, offering a serene escape for visitors. This flat and well-maintained area features ample seating, although some benches near the fountains have seen better days. Families can enjoy watching playful children splashing in the fountains, which seem to dance gracefully in the breeze. It's an ideal spot to unwind after a day of shopping or simply savor some ice cream while soaking up the sun.
At the Eat Taste Festival here today. It's a great space for functions . Right next to the High Street and Sovereign Centre.

Lovely place to sit and relax on a beautiful summer day. The fountains create a calm atmosphere right in the heart of Weston-super-Mare. Plenty of benches, nice open space, and easy access to cafés nearby. Perfect spot to take a break and watch the world go by.

Visited during the EAT:Festival, which was simply amazing! So many traders selling lots of different offerings. Everyone was absolutely lovely, and I bought a lot of goodies!
L C — Google review
A great area located just outside of the sovereign centre. The area is flat and clean with plenty of space. There's plenty of seating, however some of the benches around the fountains have recently been damaged sadly. My son enjoyed playing in the fountains more so than the splash park around the corner. The dog also thankfully enjoyed washing himself off in them after his play on the beach. Beautiful to just sit and enjoy the area while listening to the sound of water as much as it is having fun and playing in them. If you're in the area check them out
Anthony C — Google review
This place has changed over the years, but still manages to remain a centerpiece area of the town. Used for all kinds of functions, on this occasion it was being used to host a food festival. Well maintained and a great place to meet.

Water & Amusement Parks

Nestled along the stunning seafront of Weston-super-Mare, the Water Adventure Play Park is a delightful outdoor haven for children seeking fun and excitement. This vibrant play area features an impressive wooden structure alongside an interactive aquatic playground filled with fountains, sprays, and jets that activate with sensors. Perfect for those hot summer days, this park offers a safe environment where kids can splash around to their heart's content without the worry of deep water.
Such good value you can't go wrong! My daughter loves it it does get busy in the holidays. Cafe in site too which is handy and toilets also. The play area is good if your little one wants a break from the water park bit. It's close to the beach and you pay once and can come in and out all day.
Simon — Google review
What a beautiful playground right in front of the beautiful Weston beach-promenade. My son had a lot of fun, great green area with amazing equipment; there is also a waterpark. Perfect👌💙
Rico B — Google review
This has been on my list to go to for quite some time, and it did not disappoint! We didn't actually stay very long because the weather was dull, my daughter had a cold and after getting wet we wanted to get her warm. However, I can't wait to go back on a sunny day. The staff were amazing, they actually let us in for free (due to the weather), whereas it's £3 for all day per child usually. We offered to pay upon leaving too but they just said they were glad we had a good time and not to worry about it! What lovely people!! The park itself is great and is split into what I would say is 3 sections, with ample grassy spaces in between. There's a smaller children's area with swings, a slide, etc. Then there's an older children's area at the back (we didn't get a chance to venture over that far), and lastly, the water park section. The water was so much fun. I'd say the temperature of the water was tepid- definitely not as cold as I expected it to be. The ground was colourful and a great fun experience for myself and my daughter. I couldn't wait to get stuck in as an adult! There's an ice cream hut and a small cafe. We got some hot chocolate when we were there which was tasty. I can imagine it's very popular in the summer. It has a great location; right opposite the sea front, and with Melrose Car Park right next door.
Bex H — Google review
Fantastic place to take your children on a sunny day! Little water park and two play areas for children of different ages, changing rooms and toilets
Kayleigh H — Google review
£3 per child, come and go all day, nice little water park with a lot of other play apparatus also. Kids really enjoyed themselves. Nice little cafe attached to the side, lovely hot chocolate. Woudl return if in Weston again
Michael C — Google review
For £3 per child it's a bargain. Free entry for adults too. Pay and display carpark right next door and located opposite the beach. Security constantly monitored on entry with separate exit. There is a friendly onsite cafe who offered the best custome service. Families can camp out with picnic blankets and camp chairs whilst kids play across the varied aged playgrounds. However, long queues for the only two toilets and half of the changing facilities were closed. I do hope this is resolved. Overall good and do recommend. Thank you to the owners and organisers.
Kel ! — Google review
updated review. Went there today 14/9/24. free for September which was great most things actually on and working ( except the castle) kids had a ball. I think 3 pound entry is a little steep and its about average for a mocha at £3.50. old review. Great in the summer pretty mundane on a cold day lol kids were done in 20mins.
Jake W — Google review
I popped here with my 4yo girls to take advantage of a rare sunny afternoon. The girls were thoroughly entertained for 2.5hours and could have lasted longer if I’d let them! The new double zip line was a hit, as was the splash pad but I think they enjoyed the general sense of freedom I was able to allow them in a safe enclosed environment. (although the park was very quiet when we visited) The staff were really welcoming and friendly. They even encouraged me to bring a picnic or fish and chips next time to make a real day of it - such a good idea! At £3 per child (adults free) to come and go as you please all day I think it’s an absolute steal! Top tip: wear a wetsuit and water shoes so kids can easily swap between play park and splash park. Also if there’s a wind it can be a bit chilly in the water!

The Burger King in Weston-super-Mare has undergone a facelift and is now much more modern, with terminals to order food and drinks, as well as self serve machines. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there's toilets located upstairs. There's also additional seating facing outside which is different. The food was satisfactory.
Came in a few days ago with my husband and son, after spending the day in Weston town. Didn’t have to wait very long for our food, which was hot and very much fresh. The two young girls at the counter showed great customer service, they were easy to have a conversation with which was very nice. Friendly service by the young girls Ellie-May and Ena, all the staff were friendly and had good appearances. Great team of staff, keep up the good work! We will definitely be back soon.
Tracey S — Google review
It's OK. Prices have increased a lot over the last 12 months making it an expensive place to eat especially if you have a large family. Service poor and a bit of a mess, you have the choice of booking on boards or going to counter. Both are a bit of a shambles. Since refit there are a few more seats but it's poorly laid out and cramped. Self service on drinks (free refills) food fine. Portions smaller than they used to be but it tasted nice. You have to pay 25p for sauce now, I top of inflated prices seems a bit steep. No parking or drive through. Toilet available. Disabled access, family friendly. Ideal for a (fairly) quick snack.
Melly K — Google review
Came here for lunch today. Really slow service considering there was no one in here. Also noticed how dirty the place was. Flies literally everywhere. I saw flies around the orders that were ready to be served. All of the tables were filthy. The drinks machines just fire liquids at you with no precision. Literally shoots out which suggests the machine hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. Would never return here. Filthy place.
Christopher M — Google review
The place was dirty to sit especially the tables and chairs, I personally had to clean 2 tables of chairs before sitting due to no one emptying there empty boxes and packaging in the bin and dirty table. No excuse because the place hardly any customers and the staff was busy talking instead of looking after the place. Hygiene levelbshould be a 2 star out of 5 stars for the dirty floors etc.
Creepy H — Google review
I'm sure it's fast food but when I visited on 26/06 service was so slow. Had to wait as although it was 12:00 and lunch time there were no fries cooked 🍟. Also could see the worker using his bare hands to handle food 🤢. Where you're gloves mate!!!! 6 others were also waiting for food as well as myself. Perhaps the manager should train the staff but then again, was it his bare hands on other people's food? 😲 From reading the other reviews it seems this place needs a good kick up the a*** as well as management. Poor customer service is normal here so one visit is enough for me.
Paul D — Google review
Before I ever eat in any establishment I try to look in the toilets, that’s place they are discussing dirty and smell of urine the stair way leading to the upstairs facility’s are very dirty and the steel handrails are sticky the whole place looks like it could do with a deep clean. Did I spend my hard earned cash I this Burger King CERTAINLY NOT it’s not the place for me or my family GET A GRIP BERGER KING CLEAN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT
David P — Google review
Food was great, same great taste as always, staff were extremely lazy and were displaying poor hygiene standards in the restaurant. Tables were dirty with no cleaning staff present to deal with the issue. Atmosphere was very poor im afraid…. And i love burger king, just disappointed with this restaurant
Jamie B — Google review
Not so fast food! Came on bank holiday Monday just after 2pm. Only three other customers in front of me. It takes 11 minutes for my order to be ready. Only two on front of house, who seemed to be arguing with each other over who wanted help. Manager/supervisor seemed to preoccupied with her checklist than try and bring some order to the situation. Food was good, but the service was sub-par.

Lovely people, beautiful coffee shop, supper cosy. We had a couple of iced vanilla lattes to go and a cheese and ham panini. Not the first time we have visited Jenny's and won't be the last. We worth a visit while in WSM ☕☕😋

Nice little coffee shop in the town centre. Polite staff but at some point a man came in and started insulting the waiter and tried to punch him. Staff managed to kick him out. He came back later with a staff member to apologise to us for the violent behaviour and distress caused. Experience with Up and downs in this place. Not boring at all.

Tiffanys Restaurant is a charming Edwardian-style eatery located at the end of The Grand Pier, offering stunning panoramic views of the bay. Visitors praise the generous portion sizes and delicious cakes, sandwiches, and warm scones. Lovely spot at the end of the Grand Pier. A wonderful cream tea experience followed by a Mimosa which wasn’t on the menu but the team made a plan and so appreciated. Great way to spend the early afternoon. If you make a reservation simply show it at the entrance to the Grand Pier and you will be able to enter at no cost!

Weston review: I went here with my 2 boys during half term, the view was amazing, the service was brilliant, and the food was seriously good quality and well priced which is good for a dad with 2 hungry boys. I had the special pie and gravy which was great, whilst my boys had fish & chips and sausage and mash. They are the lot.. Thank you, we will definitely be back to try more on the menu.

a great place overlooking the sea, sat in a very grand room. Lovely staff well looked after while visiting. Food was fantastic and the afternoon tea for 1 was amazing, a great place for someone traveling alone and needing some time out to refresh the mind. I cant wait to eat there again. A fantastic experience.

Had fish and chips, only ate half of it. Started to feel ill after half an hour of eating it and I've been ill for over 4 days. GP reckons it's possible fish poisoning, it was the only thing I had eaten that day. My Fiancee had about 4 bits of it and when we got home had diarrhoea. Good service and atmosphere though.

We've always enjoyed coming to Tiffany's over the years, and this visit was no different. Lovely warm welcome, the restaurant was quiet with only a few tables occupied, so we were able to sit pretty much where we wanted. The table was clean and our service was excellent. Sadly, our fish and chip meals were anything but. Mine wasn't too bad, batter over cooked and sone chips dry and not nice but my wifes was not good at all and our son struggled with his. Now, if it wasn't for the fact that we were pushed for time, meeting up between hospital appts, we would have complained big time. I can't say anything else really as this was a complete surprise and definitely the first time we have experienced such poor quality dishes. Such a beautiful outlook and in a wonderful setting, shame.

Love Duets. In my opinion the best restaurant in Weston-super-Mare for food & service. Sad it has now closed. However we can only wish Sean & Lynn well in their future endeavours & thank them for the wonderful evenings we've spent at Duets.

Easy to miss it just walking past, but inside this converted house lies a wonderful treasure of Weston super Mare. Smart use of space, small bar but with everything you might want on offer. Now, the food. Everything tried so far has been amazing, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Just amazing, how I have lived here so long and not discovered it sooner I don't know. Booking required, well worth the wait. Got to be tried if you have not already!

Outdoor Activities
Weston Super Mare Beach is a quintessential Victorian English seaside resort with a long stretch of golden sand, mud flats, and a lively town offering an aquarium, museums, theaters, and amusements on the grand pier. Throughout the year, the beach hosts various events like Pro Nationals, Weston Beach Dash, Air Festival, music festivals such as T4 On The Beach and South-West Live.
I went there on a Sunny day in Sept. It is one of my favourite sand beaches. Clean and beautiful, close to Bristol. You have plenty of car parking spots. Amazing food shops around. Great for a day trip with family and friends.
Anjana A — Google review
A nice sandy beach, although when the tide goes out past a certain point it becomes a mud flap and not inviting to paddle in. At near high tide it is much more a proper beach. Seafront is well maintained and generally things feel on the up so the walk along the front is very pleasant and a good place for sunsets.
Kevin K — Google review
This beach is not dog friendly, the parking is a rip off in season. The parking is £14 for the day which is very expensive and it is very hard to get parked. The only good side to this are is that the promenade is clean and there is a clear path with loads of seating. It is very wheelchair accessible but not to the sand itself. It is pretty clean in terms of rubbish but the water quality was so poor they wouldn't let you go in the water because of sewage discharge. Is it regularly like this so check before you travel.

One of my favourite place to visit, very clean, nice sandy beach, fantastic day out for the family coming back next week.
Robert P — Google review
As my partner predicted, it turned out to be the last warm day of 2025 — perfect timing for a trip to Weston-super-Mare beach. Just a short drive from Bristol, it offered everything we hoped for: a relaxing walk along the sand, a bit of sunshine, coffee and ice cream by the sea. The tide was out, but that only made the beach feel even wider and calmer. We sat for a while, breathing in the salty, iodine-rich air and watching the light change over the bay — simple, peaceful, and exactly what we needed.

Love Weston super mare normally go in Off Season because the B&Bs and hotels are cheap we always go to the Lauriston Hotel It's a dog friendly hotel but is actually a signed for people who need assisted dogs but obviously families can go and take there dogs Or if you don't want to go in one of the hotels you can get self-catering accommodation quite cheap Out of Season expensive and hard to get in season need to book about a year in advance
Matt G — Google review
We stopped by briefly on our way home and arrived at 5pm. The beach was empty, and there was plenty of parking. The only issue was that parking was expensive, at £7 for the one hour we stayed; parking should be done hourly. We didn't use any facilities, as they were all closed when we arrived. It was a fantastic time spent with my youngest, with good weather and warm seas.
Paul B — Google review
What a big change, pier now £2 to go on, why? They make a lot of money from visitors going on there. They close at 4.30pm what? Dont bother visiting, this once was a nice place to visit, even the girl locking the pier gates can't understand English. Waste of time going, M5 bumper to bumper 20 mph for almost 45 minutes, ill never go sgain, just like great Yarmouth, this place is falling apart and prices are way over the top

Perched above the sandy beach with stunning panoramic views of the Bristol Channel and Brean Down promontory, Revo Kitchen offers a diverse menu from breakfast to bedtime. The in-house bakery serves up an array of pastries, cakes, tarts, and more. In addition to brunch classics like Eggs Benedict and Smashed Avocado, there are options for dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan dishes.
Hubby and I are out and about most weekends delivering artwork around the UK. We often find great places to see, to visit and to get food. Last night we were staying over in Weston-Super-Mare and we ate at REVO KITCHEN, a fantastic spot, right on the beach, on STILTS! It had such a great vibe, and it was so laid back it was great! There was a huge variety of seating, you could get a beer, or coffee and cake, or even go full formal for a celebration dinner! Food was great, service was friendly and efficient and the views were fantastic! Dogs are welcome too and the feeling was so relaxed that all the dogs were really chilled out and so well behaved 😊 Definitely keeping this place on my radar for next time we’re down here 😎👌🏻

Fantastic food. Great service. Live music on Saturday, 7pm. We enjoyed it. Great place to watch the sunset, too, if it's not very cloudy. Toilet needs a little bit of cleaning every now and then per day.

Waiting staff are amazing, fair waiting times. Our table of 12 all had issues with food. Pulled pork was mostly bbq sauce, chips were cold and steak was overcooked. The atmosphere is great and has a lovely sea view.

We had to wait a bit for the food but all 4 meals were delicious 😋 we also had 2 puddings and shared them. The service was brilliant could not fault it. The views were fab too. Would definitely return if we're down that way again.

Lovely place and friendly staff. The pulled pork and eggs were delicious, would 100% have that again. I love they have a doggy menu, my pup was very happy with her scrambled eggs, a good size too, I wasn’t expecting as much as we were given! Love they have a basket of dog blankets and water available. Would definitely come here again!

Lovely food fantastic views of the sea and the mud 😀 toilets inside indoor and outdoor seating fantastic staff so helpful and friendly food lovely and hot and not skimpy on the portion size disabled access a bit difficult as ramp steps but a fantastic experience

Revo Kitchen is a restaurant which juts out over WSM's beach and offers good views of the beach and promenade. It is very popular with families and you can also bring pets there, which means it is a noisy restaurant a lot of the time. It is a bit pricier than other restaurants in the area. The food is good but the drink selection is poor. So good for groups but not so good for individuals looking for a quiet time.
Chiangmaicharlies — Google review
Amazing service and food. Staff were super friendly and accomodating for a large walk in group (even though it was extremely busy) with a range of dietry needs. Gluten Free food choice was a wide range and tasted amazing. The dog loved her chicken served in a little pot. 10/10. Will be returning.

The Weston Sand Sculpture Festival is a spectacular annual event that transforms the beach of Weston-super-Mare into a stunning gallery of sand art. Each year, talented sculptors from around the world gather to create over 30 intricate sculptures using just sand and water, showcasing their skills in a friendly competition where visitors can vote for their favorites. With new themes introduced annually, this festival has become a beloved highlight on Somerset's cultural calendar, attracting more than 5 million visitors each year.
Staff were really friendly and polite a refreshing change to some of the places I've been. The sculptures were absolutely amazing! The little competition for the best sculpture was a nice touch and the kids enjoyed having a voice and it really got them interested and feeling important enough to have an opinion that matter. (Some.kids may not have that in their young life) there is a small container with a video on how the sculptures were made but we couldn't stay in there for long as the temperature in there was breath taking. Over all a great experience for the kids, not massive and probably a little over priced for what you see and the very short time round but certainly worth the money with regards to a different talking point and experience for the kids. Thank you to all involved, especially the staff at the counter

Have been the last 3 years and is fab the sculpture are amazing so beautiful and breath taking. The details as spot on. Pictures are from this year festival. I recommend going it's not expensive my children really enjoy it. X

Great exhibition of sand sculptures. We come here every year, always a different theme. The competition zone is brilliant giving, you the option to vote for your favourite sculpture. Great little gift shop and cafe. Really enjoyable. Very accessible, especially for mobility scooters. Can't wait for next year's festival now.
Darren P — Google review
Great little stop off on the way back to the car, wish I'd have had more time to look around as there is an interactive session at the end to sculpt your own creations and a cafe etc too. Very impressive art displays on current events facing us all. Limited pictures so as not to spoil it for you.
Paul C — Google review
Very impressive sculptures, enjoyed by kids and adults. £10 for a family of 4 which was fairly reasonable, especially as there is a play area and you can return as many times as you like on the same day with the original ticket.
Ross M — Google review
Brilliant art work, cheap to get in, great few hours out. Circus themed this year, here's just a few photos, lots more to see, also has a kids corner and a nice cafe for refreshments. You can also make sand sculptures using the tools provided.
Jackie B — Google review
What an unexpected display , we went in out of curiosity . We were amazed of the sculptures the 2018 theme circus , the detail and enormity of the sculptures is one to see for yourselves . It runs from march to October and is then bulldozed and work begins the following January ready for the next season . Artists from all over come to display this very unique skill Well worth the entrance fee 4 pound adults 3 pound child . Looking forward to next year's display .
Alan B — Google review
Entrance fee is £4. Excellent sculptures considering they are made of compacted sand. Different theme each year with this year's theme being circus. There are plenty of photo opportunities with the sculptures. Worth a visit but maybe not with really young children as you can't touch the sculptures.

First time attending a performance at this theatre. Spotlessly clean. …. in the auditorium and the toilets. Helpful staff who were polite and extremely respectful. Please be aware mandatory bag searches are in place at point of entry. Bar on upper level and a smaller refreshment sales on the ground floor.disability access throughout..escorted lift to access the upper floor. Disabled toilets available. The seats were unexpectedly comfortable in the auditorium!!! To be honest we attended during one of the recent heatwaves and it was indeed extremely hot in the stalls where we were seated - air con may have been in place, however, had little impact on the heat (the heat was unprecedented so perhaps it couldn’t cope!) refreshments varied and reasonably priced. Parking was a little challenging.

This is a very good facility in the Town. It is of a suitable size and bring in a tourist town has a very good variety of shows both in the peak season and throughout the rest of the year. The theatre is accessible to wheelchairs with a lift the appropriate floor and a limited amount of wheelchair spaces. What is strange is the fact the theatre offers a disabled discount on the allocated enabled spaces only. The staff are very accommodating and helpful.

Fish and chips takeaway
Restaurant
Papas, located on Waterloo Street in Weston, is a beloved traditional chippy and a local institution since 1966. This warm and laid-back restaurant is known for serving up delicious traditional fish and chips, seafood plates, and burgers. With over 1,000 positive reviews praising the warm welcome and tasty dishes, Papas has earned its reputation as one of the best restaurants in town. Generations of families return for the first-class service and sustainably sourced fish cooked to perfection.
I am not local but come to WSM frequently for work. This perhaps is the best fish and chips in the town. Will be happily visiting again.
Chintan M — Google review
The meals are quite pricey (and as a visitor to UK I was surprised about the huge difference in prices between the take-away and food consumed inside the restaurant), especially the fish and chips, that you can get for 9 pounds (instead of 17 in here) elsewhere. I waited 30 minutes just for the table, which was quite long. The restaurant itself is quite cozy and has its charm, eventhough it's furnished very simply and the tables are squished very near. I got the hamburger with chips and salad (12,55£) and the food was really tasty and a solid portion. I would probably choose some other place, knowing the amount of waiting and the prices in advance, but I enjoyed the meal in the end.
Vendulka P — Google review
Ok......now I'm not one for leaving bad reviews or comments but unfortunately this one is a 2 star ⭐⭐ and that's generous! There aren't many chip shops open on a Sunday evening but fortunately papas was open and I only live around the corner so we thought we'd treat ourselves to some nice chips 😋😉 I Walked in and was greeted by someone who was very down and fed up looking. I was Told a small bag of chips was £3.50 or a large was £4.10 (these better be amazing for that price) I chose 2 small bags at a cost of £7 While I was waiting, there was blatant animosity within the kitchen. A young lad wanted to leave and there was a loud and clear conversation from a guy asking members of staff if it was ok for him to leave?? Obvious Swearing was heard. It just seemed very unprofessional at the time. Now i know life is difficult right now and times are hard but a fish and chip shop that's charging £3.50 for a small bag of chips should be as good as John Lewis or the house of Fraser! All staff behind the fryers seemed very down and cheesed off, especially the tall guy dipping fish into batter! The poor dude looked like he'd literally had enough of the bull💩. I got home, dished up my 2 bags of chips and I have to be honest they weren't great. The cooking Oil definitely needs changing for sure!! So my question to you guys is...... Why?? If you're advertising yourselves as a 5 star fish and chip shop why is this going on?? What happened to Papa's? This place used to be amazing! It's definitely not the same as it used to be 😞 I think you guys need some training and support from Star fish and chips on locking road!!

Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Busy, even on a rainy Sunday lunchtime, which is always a good sign. Very quick service. Fish was delightful, chips perfectly cooked. Special shout out to the curry sauce, that was unusually excellent.

There were 4 of us today (Sat 12th April ) 3 adults 1 child. Papa’s is a takeaway at the front and a restaurant at the back. Right from the get go we had a lovely welcome from the staff. We had to wait to be seated by a member of staff. (Such a nice touch) Both ladies who looked after us gave us friendly and attentive service! Nothing was too much trouble. We have a picky grandson but he said at the end of the meal… Best Meal Ever!! The fish and chips we all had tasted amazing. Nice and hot, great appearance. All the condiments you need and even a soft fresh roll and proper butter! They staff valued our custom and didn’t rush us to finish. Toilets nice and clean. We all wished that Papa’s was local to us! Great staff and food!
Bernadette M — Google review
Really disappointed after seeing all of the good reviews here. I will start by saying the fish was great, however the chips simply were not cooked fully, the inside still felt hard. The portion sizes are not as generous as other reviews are making out. We also had a member of staff watching us the entire time we ate, it really put us off any conversation during our meal and we felt quite uncomfortable. Paid almost £40 for our meal, very unsatisfied.
Lucky K — Google review
I must admit that the attitude of the staff left me somewhat disappointed. Despite the good food and pleasant ambience, I found them to be rather indifferent towards us. It would have been more enjoyable if they had shown a bit more enthusiasm and attentiveness towards their customers. One thing worth mentioning is that when they advertise "big portions," they truly mean it. The portion sizes were extremely generous, and it was quite impressive. It ensures that you'll never leave the restaurant feeling hungry. Finally, I would like to emphasize that the restaurant offers a convenient take-away service, which is undoubtedly a bonus for those who prefer to enjoy their meals in the comfort of their own homes. It's an excellent option for busy individuals or those looking for an easy and delicious dining solution.

If you're seeking a hidden gem for your next family outing, look no further than Marine Lake Beach. Nestled near Weston-super-Mare, this charming beach features a man-made lake that spans 57 acres and is encircled by lush grassy areas and a scenic promenade. It's an ideal spot for picnics, leisurely strolls, or engaging in various water sports like swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, and sailing—perfect for both adventure seekers and those looking to relax.
Great if you've got young kids as it's enclosed. Also love the path which goes around marine lake, with the bridge across the middle. Amazing to see the sunsets here, highly recommended if you want an easy walk. Only downside is the parking, this being hit and miss whether there's a space, it's also quite expensive but considering it's by the beach still reasonable

My son loves here, cute little beach for families and kids to have some fun and swim, close to all the local amenities. ⛱️✌️

A superb and clean little beach leading to the marina sea. It has a lovely shallow paddling area before a drop off, and a few shells for sandcastle decoration. The sand always remains damp so bring something to sit on. I loved it here. There is quite a lot of ambient noise from talking etc, but still remained relaxing.

The big beach is good, but this small one is better. The water is safe, and the enclosed sandy beach is cosy and attractive. The land train turns round here, so is a good starting or finishing point for a trip on the train.

I like the fact they have built a sea wall and created a lagoon ,plus they haven't let the health and safety brigade stop you walking across the top of the wall even when the sea is crashing onto and sometimes over the wall ,

First time eating here and won’t be the last. Three course meal was delicious, the Sunday lunch was amazing. Dessert was crème brûlée with Cointreau and it was the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. Staff were friendly and the service was great. I can see why booking is recommended. Definitely coming back.

A lovely Friday night dinner! The service was EXCELLENT. It was also lovely to have comfy restaurant seating for once. The food was all lovely. Super fresh. It was nice to see some different takes on British classics. The sausages and bubble & squeak portion could have been a bit bigger though 👀 the sticky toffee pudding was delicious and clearly homemade, but the toffee sauce let it down. The homemade honeycomb was a delicious touch 😍 Highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant and atmosphere. Great place for a Friday evening dinner and drinks. I didn’t really enjoy my main meal which was a pork and cider pie though. It was too rich and a bit odd. My main choice wasn’t available so I chose the pie and then regretted it. The kids enjoyed their burgers. Surf & Turf and other food coming out looked good! Generous portions.

Il Michelangelo Weston is an upscale restaurant offering standard Italian cuisine, including pasta and seafood. The eatery features patio dining with ocean views and Renaissance-style murals, creating a charming atmosphere. The menu includes award-winning pizza and pasta dishes prepared by native Italian chefs using the finest ingredients.
Great food and service, very attentive and quick with the food delivery. It's quite a large venue so there was a lot of people - not a problem in itself but it was quite noisy so conversation was hard over the noise. Really friendly staff, very polite and considerate.

One of those where everything is excellent. Their prices demand quality and that is what you get. Four of us dined for just under GBP200 and the lamb shank, liver and beef stroganoff were cooked to perfection with accompanying sauces. We shared the starters of bruschetta and mushrooms accompanied by cocktails and beers. The mains were so filling we could not view the dessert menu. Great atmosphere and view out to sea. All servers were Italian and very attentive.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The food was simply outstanding – every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and prepared with so much care and passion. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and full of depth, and the pizza tasted just like in Italy – fresh, flavorful, and made with the finest ingredients. Don’t even get me started on the desserts – the tiramisu was heavenly! The service was exceptional – attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make sure we had the best possible time. You can really feel that this place puts their heart into everything they do. If you’re looking for a place that combines true Italian soul with top-quality food and a wonderful atmosphere, look no further. This restaurant is an absolute gem, and we can’t wait to come back again and again!

Have to say just left this place. OMG the food and service was second to none. The restaurant itself overlooks the sea. This restaurant wouldn’t look out of place in Marbella. It’s decorated to the highest spec. The sun was in my eyes,no problem they lower blinds. The front also has windows that electronically move up and down. Both me and my brother had one of the specials as starters which was a grilled sardines over bread with salad. This was excellent. For mains I had the steak with chips and peppercorn sauce. This has to be the best peppercorn sauce I’ve had. The peppercorn was nice and soft with full of flavour and creamy. My brother had the pasta with salmon which had big chunks of salmon done in a creamy vodka sauce. The staff was very attentive and very smart with black and white with ties and professional. I can see why they have so many good reviews

Lovely Italian food experience. Staff were super professional, and looked the part. If anything I felt underdressed. The chicken Caesar salad was very good, looking at the fresh pizza's coming out of the pizza oven gave me food envy. Eating out in the conservatory front is amazing in the summer and you can often catch a sunset but in winter may be a little cool for the more mature patron. Overall a really enjoyable Italian dining experience. Recommended

A place that we have recently discovered but definitely going to return again! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Visited with a baby and a table that have provided had plenty of space for a pram. Food is very delicious and if you have any dietary requirements or wish to try a dish which is spicy - they will make it non spicy! Thank you!

A nice unassuming Indian restaurant on the highstreet. We visited after looking at various reviews and were not disappointed. We were greeted on arrival and luckily a table was found as this restaurant was very busy. Decor is tastefully done, the colour theme carried through to the crockery used. Service was professional and quick. The food is fresh and presented nicely. Parking is on the street only.

Came across by accident. Had chicken tikka Madras , was very good. Nice and clean restaurant, and nice staff , well worth a visit.

Very welcoming and mannered service throughout our meal. The food was exceptionally presented to us and the taste was to die for. Very reasonable pricing and a all around lovely night at the curry gardens. Special mention to ali for his hosting. Thank you team:)

Had an amazing meal here the other night. I don't often have curry as I have a delicate stomach. The waiter was very helpful offering advice on which food might not be too spicy for me.

Nestled on Carlton Street, Otium is a delightful wood-fired pizza restaurant and cocktail bar that transforms into a brunch haven on weekends. With its stunning art deco interior, it’s an Instagrammer's dream, especially with dishes like perfectly poached eggs served in a vibrant setting. The menu boasts exceptional wood-fired pizzas with generous toppings and charred edges that are sure to impress any foodie. Diners rave about the chunky chips paired with creamy mayo, making for a satisfying side dish.
Service above and beyond. Delicious food too. We shared between 3 of us; Cauliflower bang bang Camembert Chicken skewer Pepperoni pizza The Chicken skewer was fabulous, tasty tender meat with salad and fries. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing food and generous portions. Plenty of flavour and just beautiful visually to. Entered into a warm atmosphere and happy faces. Lisa and Shaun couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend this place over and over again. Keep doing what your doing guys ❤️

What an absolutely amazing restaurant. We were lucky to find this place by chance when leaving the car park in search of somewhere to eat. The food was delicious - generous portions and amazing flavours. One of our diners said that it was the best pizza he’d ever had. The service was brilliant - Shaun and Lisa were very welcoming and friendly. I wish it was closer to where we lived but will definitely return next time we are in Weston-Super-Mare.
Sarah D — Google review
I'll caveat this with, it was opening night, but I'm not sure that excuses all of the issues we encountered. The first disappointment was the wood fired pizza advertised outside was not on the menu. There was one person juggling  greeter, barman, cocktail maker, waiter and we were shown to our table by someone we believed to be the chef. At this stage I'll point out I think we were the only table in the restaurant. We ordered tapas and a mushroom risotto. Each item of tapas arrived separately, so the first item was pretty cold before the fifth item arrived. The risotto wasn't delivered to the table until after I had finished eating. The tapas was delicious, the risotto was soup-like but my Wife said it still tasted nice. We sat and watched as the restaurant started to fill and we waited for our plates to be cleared. We witnessed people leaving before ordering drinks, the person we believe to be the chef visiting tables before they had eaten, and that one person continued to juggle roles. Maybe Friday night is not the best night for an opening and potentially a soft launch event might have been a good way to go. A waitress arrived on shift and was immediately inundated with information about the tables. She came to clear our table and asked if everything had been okay. We politely provided honest feedback so they could look at areas for improvement, adding it's a shame she came into this feedback from the first table she approached. Almost certainly a mistake on our part, we asked for the dessert menu, hoping they could turn things around. After about twenty minutes we gave up and I went to the bar for the bill. It was clear the waitress was rushed off her feet. I expressed to the barman that the evening had been a bit of a disaster. He wrote off our drinks and service charge. Again I politely expressed I understood and added that they'd get there. After leaving the restaurant and on reflection, given how empty the restaurant was when we arrived I would have expected better. More staff, faster service, all food brought out together. It really felt like the restaurant was not prepared for the opening, there wasn't even a sign advising it was opening night. I say all this because it's a real shame. This is a lovely venue with great potential and I think it will be a great restaurant in the future. I hope the above is taken as feedback not criticism and the owners take the opportunity to work on the issues. We wish the owner and staff all the best as they try to make the restaurant work and hopefully we can revisit for a better experience next time we are in Weston-Super-Mare.

What a superb little eatery. Striking interior with an art deco feel. Breathtaking selection of cocktails and a 1st for me was the Black Cherry Gin. The wood fired pizzas were excellent. Great flavour, nice charred edges and more than generously topped. The chunkiest chips I've ever had with lashings of mayo to slather them in. Waiting times were normal and the service was utterly charming. Nice hard working people who want to accommodate their clientele. Oh and this place may be the classiest joint I've eaten at in 10 years of coming to WSM. Carry on guys, you deserve every bit of success.
ArchyB — Google review
Felt we got what we paid for although it was something to save for. The cuts of meat were great quality. We had a wobbly table and without hesitation they offered to move us to another table. Cocktails were good. Portion sizes were very good although the steak didn't come with chips and a side portion was bigger than needed to go with that meal. Starters were delicious as well. Allowed us to take extras home.
K H — Google review
The decor is lovely, and everything was clean. The tapas was good value, and the steak skewer was delicious. The main thing I liked though, was that the kid's food was of the same quality as the adult's food, which you don't get in a lot of places.
Rachel F — Google review
Do you know that excitement, when you are going to try a new place with your friends? We went to Otium last week when was still cold. Turned up about 12 minutes earlier. It was nice to see they are busy, buzzing, but from that moment everything was not great. We were asked to wait outside, it was cold and unpleasant, not the best start to be honest. After 10 minutes someone come to see us and asked if we want some drinks. In the mean time someone else invited us to our table. Someone else took drinks outside and couldn’t find us. For food order we had to wait another 15 minutes. And it would not be a problem at all if we would be made aware of nearly 1h wait. But we were not! For another drink order we had to go to bar to ask someone. When food turned up: steaks were fine as ordered. Not so good with 2 pizzas. I have ordered pizza Milano, when was placed in front of me I have asked is this my Milano, waiter confirmed yes it is. So I have cut out a piece to check, nope that definitely wasn’t my pizza, it was just Margarita. Second pizza was messed up to and arrived 20 minutes later than our food. My honest review is, place looks lovely, staff are nice and friendly but food is not up there, it is average and for that reason overpriced. My friends rated their experience 6/10. Menu is a bit disappointing too, some of us wanted chicken skewers but while we were waiting for drinks, and food order we changed our mind. Portions looked uneven, burned. Hence we gone for steaks and pizza. £5 triple cooked chips were very disappointing to. Also two tables one by open kitchen and one by ladies toilets look no fun! Nice gesture, we were not charged for the pizzas, thank you, but that didn’t change the way we felt or our whole experience. I hope this review helps you get things better. Good luck 🤞🏻

Day 3

Keep it simple

Nestled in the picturesque Somerset countryside, just a stone's throw from Weston-super-Mare, Puxton Park is an all-weather adventure haven that spans 40 acres of fun and excitement. Open nearly every day of the year, this family-friendly destination offers a plethora of activities to keep visitors entertained regardless of the weather. From adrenaline-pumping playgrounds and challenging assault courses to tranquil boat rides on the lake, there's something for everyone at Puxton Park.
I remember taking my older children here some years ago and then enjoying it. Return today with my youngest and she absolutely loved it. The whole Park feels very fresh and clean and there are lots more attractions than I remember. The soft play and slides are very well maintained And thoroughly enjoyed by all the children. The farm zoo has lots of animals and you can buy feed for them. We went on the train ride and tractor ride both included in the price. I was particularly impressed with the crazy golf. The sculptures of the octopus and whale were very impressive and you could see a lot of love had gone into creating this attraction. We had a late lunch in the restaurant which was very tasty and good value. The farm shop is well stocked and has a lovely butchers. It would definitely come again.

Considering it was a bank holiday and half term, we found our experience rather disappointing and dull. No staff on the crazy golf, look like they have built a new one but that was locked off and the old one, well, no staff, no balls and rather tatty. The coffee at the soft play restaurant was like dishwater. The kids enjoyed the soft play, bumper boats, and the bouncing pillows, which, to be honest, a long way to travel and costly just for that. boating lake open, either. Animal talk was very good. Got to see a touch a boa constrictor, a lizard, and a mouse like creature. The animal handling staff were very knowledgeable and interacted with the children well. The farm shop was amazing. We got there at 1130 and were out of options by 1500. Ended up back in soft play, which, to be honest, could have done that locally. A lot of money for what it is. I had a sandwich, which was £3.50 and a children's meal was about £6. Will not be going again, sadly. Park needs some TLC in places. Staff were very helpful and friendly 🙂

Puxton Park is an absolutely fantastic place for a day out and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived the atmosphere was welcoming and exciting. The car park is huge and completely free which makes things so much easier and stress free. Once inside there is so much to do for all ages. My personal favourite was the water bumper ride which had me laughing and getting soaked in the best way possible. I could have stayed on it all afternoon. I also loved feeding the animals. They are clearly well cared for and very friendly. There are goats alpacas sheep and many more and you can get up close which is such a fun experience. The indoor play area is massive and full of activities to keep children entertained for hours. Outside there are brilliant adventure playgrounds climbing frames and open spaces to run around. The tractor rides and the little train are perfect for taking a break while still enjoying the park. There is also a lovely café that serves tasty and reasonably priced food and drinks which is perfect for a pit stop. Everywhere is clean and well looked after and the staff are friendly and helpful. Puxton Park is one of those places where time flies because there is so much to see and do. Whether you are visiting with family friends or just want a fun day surrounded by animals and activities it is worth every penny. I am already looking forward to going back and enjoying it all over again.

Absolutely fantastic. Paid one entry free which was less than other parks around, paid £45 for a family of 4 (I had a blue light discount), and it was worth every penny. There are so many attractions that are included, didn’t pay a penny for anything besides an ice cream. There’s paddle boats, train, high ropes (and smaller one for littler children), and huge soft play, and lots more too. We spent the whole day interacting with animals and playing. It was clean and well looked after, staff were pleasant and friendly and animals seemed happy and well looked after. Absolutely brilliant, will be returning soon.

Great amusements, combined with animals, a small indoor zoo, a mini train, a mini Jeep ride, a massive play barn for all child ages, a cafe, restaurant, shop, picnic areas, a hedge maze, playgrounds including a giant bouncy pillow thing, boats, high rope activity, friendly staff, family safe environment. WiFi is available free of charge but limited phone signal. I particularly liked the new crazy golf, amazingly creative and attractively done. Really good job everyone!!! (So much there that I've probably forgotten something!)
E P — Google review
Brilliant place to visit with family of all ages. I went with a group of 14 and all ages really enjoyed it, the train ride, park and the soft play area were really good. Different selection of animals to see and for £1 you can get a bag of animal feed to feed some of the animals with, an interesting and ticklish experience for some of the kids! :) We also purchased some fresh milk and also chocolate flavoured which was very tasty!
R A — Google review
Fantastic day out, I came with my 4 and 5 year olds and they were kept well entertained for 7 hours. They loved feeding the animals, enjoyed the interactive animal shows in the barn. I feel that the place offers great value for money. Only thing I would add is some seating area around the air bouncers, it gets very busy there and people tend to sit on the grass, would be nice to have benches etc and maybe a picnic area there. This was my second visit and should we return to the Weston area will definitely be visiting again.

A Fantastic Day Out for All Ages! We had such an amazing time at Puxton Park! We went with a group of adults and kids, and there was so much to do that everyone was entertained. It's not just a park for the little ones; the adults had just as much fun getting involved in all the activities. Slided can give you adrenaline too. Outdoor Splash games are nice as well. From the moment we arrived, the kids were off on an adventure. The range of things to do is incredible—the massive indoor play barn, the high ropes course, and the pedal go-karts were huge hits. There’s a real sense of adventure throughout the whole park, and we loved that it got the kids running around and trying new things. The little farm was amazing, there are more cute, animals 🦜 our favourite was the Amazon parrot wich was imitating a crying baby calling her mom , so cute. We have bought a fresh Tbone steak from farm shop at the exit, it was amazing 🥩 there's also fresh cow milk from the machines and a small souvenir shop I can't recommend Puxton Park enough. It’s a perfect mix of thrilling activities, animal encounters, and just good old-fashioned fun. We'll definitely be back soon!

Specialty Museums
The Helicopter Museum, situated in the former Weston-super-mare airport, is a paradise for enthusiasts of aviation and technology. Boasting an impressive collection of over 80 different helicopter models, including both civilian and military variants, it stands as the largest museum of its kind globally. Visitors can embark on guided tours led by knowledgeable experts to gain insight into the operation and piloting protocols of these remarkable aircraft.
This is a great spot to visit to learn about helicopters. Definitely, kids will enjoy. Apart from enjoying it, we can grab a vast knowledge about helicopters. Great venue for seminars, meeting, product launch as well.as family visit. Coffee and shop available. Spacious parking area also there. Near to Western Super- Mare city centre.

We went on a rainy day during our holiday. It is brilliant value for money and we learned so much. We even found a helicopter that had been built near our house. The staff were friendly and happy. Even our toddler loved it, especially getting to sit in a real helicopter.
Sarah H — Google review
Had a great day out at the Museum, reasonably priced, especially as we can return free for a year (excluding some special events) Lots of things to see with knowledgeable volunteers to make the experience even better. We ate at the museum, we had a bacon bap, with loads of bacon. A cheese and tomato toasties with lots of cheese (it was oozing out the sides) 😋 Tea and coffee in decent sized mugs. Very reasonably priced. The toilets were clean and modern. We could only stay for 4hrs, so we are coming back 😁
Woolyyak89 — Google review
I thourly enjoyed the visit . I couldn't believe there was that many helicopters displayed in the warehouse,For a child's point of view other than looking at the helicopter and a small air themed play area out side I thought they would have had some helicopters that you could have got inside/ played in making the experience even better.
Andrew C — Google review
pretty good visit, for someone with more interest and willing to read everything about all the helicopters you could have a good half day out for good price and free return for almost a every day of the year, that makes it absolutely amazing value for someone that enjoys it and would like to return again and again for free for a year.
Ben M — Google review
Some interesting exhibits presented really well. Needs something else after viewing the helicopters to make it more interesting such as a digital film or a talk by a former pilot etc. How about a tour guide?
Geoff C — Google review
Had a great time at museum. Plenty to see staff brilliant and informative. Cafe and toilets on site as well as playground area for kids.

It was a truly insightful experience to see a helicopter up close. A highlight for me was getting to go inside a Russian Mi combat helicopter, a dream come true. I've been fascinated by Mi helicopters ever since I saw one in the movie Rambo. I also saw many impressive helicopters manufactured by Westland, including one that could carry up to 21 passengers. Seeing so many of these massive engineering marvels made me wonder: why did Westland stop making them?

Sights & Landmarks
Court Farm Country Park, located just outside Weston super Mare, is a working farm that welcomes around 50,000 visitors annually. The Gwyn family operates the farm with cattle and sheep across 350 acres of arable crops. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as playbarns, tractor drives, trampolines, safari jeeps, and milking shows. The park offers hands-on experiences like feeding lambs, watching cows being milked, and grooming ponies.
Always enjoy a trip to this delightful farm. Children watched the milking of Jodie and met two week old calves. Goats, pigs, sheep, emu. And a lovely play in the different play areas. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely time visiting Court Farm Country Park — it’s a fantastic place to visit with children! There’s plenty of fun activities and things to do, and the overall atmosphere is really family-friendly. The only downside was the cleanliness of the toilets, which could definitely use more attention. It’s a small thing, but it does make a difference to the overall experience. Hopefully this can be improved, as everything else was wonderful!
Anna Z — Google review
Enjoyable little farm, large play areas and tractor rides which were a massive hit. Not much going on with the animals on the day we were there but it was so hot that is understandable. My daughter had a go at feeding the lambs in the show which she loved. Good value entry, and reasonable prices in the cafeWould definitely return if back in the area

Had a perfect day out at Court Farm with our young grandson. The working farm is so hands on and we loved seeing (and petting) all of the animals. The outdoor play areas are great for all ages. Cute little cafe with reasonable prices. The wedding venue part is so pretty and the little one particularly loved the indoor play areas. It really was a fantastic day out and a good way to teach children to respect animals ❤️ and cant wait to visit again.

Fantastic We had an afternoon here and loved it. There are lots of attractions and things to see on this working farm. The staff are incredibly friendly. There is a cafe that is very reasonably priced. The sandwiches were fantastic. There are indoor play areas so perfect for wet weather days out. The kids really enjoyed the tractor ride. Highly recommended.

The lady on the front desk and in the cafe was very helpful. She got us in cheaper by doing a family bundle. The food was very reasonably priced and fresh. The animals all looked very well looked after. Especially jodie who was being milked by the farmer who also took us out on the tractor. Only downside was the safari jeep car, one little boy got a bargain as he was able to ride it for over 10 minutes while only paying once. Then when his go was finally over, our little boy only got 2 laps. It was nice to see the kids (baby goats) roaming free.

Fast food restaurant
Well-known fast-food chain serving grilled burgers, fries & shakes.
We visited the Burger King at Flowerdown Retail Park in Weston-super-Mare yesterday and had a fantastic experience. We ordered two Chicken Royales with milkshakes to take away, and from the moment we walked in, we noticed how clean and tidy the restaurant was—a great first impression. The staff were friendly and welcoming, with special thanks to David, who made sure we were fully stocked up with all the condiments we needed for our meal. His attentiveness and cheerful attitude really stood out and made our visit even more pleasant. As for the food, it was everything we’ve come to expect from Burger King—hot, fresh, and delicious. The Chicken Royales and milkshakes were the perfect takeaway treat. Overall, a great visit with friendly service, spotless surroundings, and tasty food. We’ll definitely be back!

For starters on Saturday evening they had one person making the burgers. There were at least 8 people there. Excluding manager. Place was dirty, untidy, dirty tables, stuff on floor for you to slip and fall- makes you wonder how clean the food is. When asked how long will it take after waiting for 10 ish minutes, person asked said they don’t know, because they don’t know how to make burgers. 🤯 The burgers took 18! minutes to be done. Not really fast food, is it. And then they came burned to charcoal! See photo and that’s the better one. The other one was pure charcoal. Inedible. We returned it for a full refund. Fries were acceptable, but bland. It was a crappy place before, got better for a moment, now it’s worse than before. We won’t be coming back. Avoid.

I ordered a chicken burger and they served me the wrong chicken, my other burger had dry meat with no juice. Horrible experience, I felt like I was throwing money away

My friend and I visited here last night . We are not fast food regulars and we were a challenging prospect for the staff., being two mature ladies who didn't have a clue. However, we were treated with courtesy and charm by a very busy staff led by a very good manager. They made a difficult day much better and we enjoyed the visit enormously. Thank you everyone, you are a credit to the company embody customer service at its best.

It's a burger king so you know what you're getting and it didn't disappoint it was quick and all food was spot on. I don't know what happy drinks they gift the staff but everyone there was so happy and overly helpful. What all fast food places should try and be.

I stood at the till 12 minutes before giving up. Where are the staff? Only saw one who spent her time serving the food delivery companies

I used the app ordering through the drive thru option. Once I arrived there was a queue waiting in the drive thru and nobody working inside had realised cars were waiting. We were waiting for approximately 5-10 minutes before the car two cars ahead of us was noticed. Then we had to wait an additional 10 minutes after giving our order code for our food and drinks. Food was fantastic though, always is from this specific Burger King.

The Woolpack Inn is a charming family-run pub that offers a delightful dining experience. The menu features generous portions of homemade food, wood-fired pizzas, and authentic Greek cuisine. With its spacious outdoor area and newly added firepit, it's a popular spot for enjoying drinks in the sunshine. Additionally, visitors can explore the on-site farm shop and deli for quality groceries. The friendly staff provide excellent service, making it an inviting destination for families and even accommodating to mums with young babies.
Attended a funeral (booked at short notice). Had the private section, with a bar. Plenty of food served, both hot and cold. Selection was really lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only downfall I'd the car park is just a bit too small. However, due to its location there was ample street parking without causing any nuisance to the locals. Great access to the main roads and motorway.

Very nice space! Came here for a lunch and it was very quiet and cozy. Love the new decor after they renovated everything, it makes the space a lot nicer and relaxing to be in. Would think it's very nice for a little family outing too, given the outdoor seating and fire pits out the back. Food was ok, nothing special or amazing but filling and good pricing for basically standard pub fare. Would definitely like to come back and try a Sunday roast here.

Our first visit to the Woolpack , definitely won't be our last . The food , service and atmosphere were amazing. First time in ages I've had an edible meal 😊 . The rest of our party equally enjoyed their meals. We came out to celebrate our granddaughters birthday, it didn't disappoint. I even asked our server to compliment the kitchen staff ( unheard of from me ) . Highly recommend, will be back to try the Sunday roast. Keep up the good work lovelies 🙌🙌🙌

Nice dog-friendly pub with plenty of seating outside. The space is tidy and pretty. We ate lunch here and ordered the Greek salad with chicken and the signature Woolpack burger. I was disappointed that they didn't have ingredients to make the traditional ploughman's but it was nice fresh food.

We went for lunch and the staff were very friendly and attentative. Lunch menu options would all around £10, with the wider menu available and it was great

Although we have had a few bad experiences in the past, we decided that, after several years, it was time to give The Woolpack another try. Very glad we did! It was quite quiet when we visited, midweek late lunchtime, hence the slightly lower mark for atmosphere. Service was generally very good and the food was delicious. Nice to have a choice of menu which was somewhat different to the usual chain outlets. Not overpriced for what we had. We will certainly be back.

Mixed. The prices were surprisingly good. Nearly everyone at the table said the food was 'ok'. Not great, not bad, just 'ok', when you're paying 'ok' prices, I guess you should accept 'ok' food? The issues were noise and heat. I think there was a Hen party behind us and boy were they loud. Too much colourful language for our tastes. I had a 9yr old and a 3yr old and they shouldn't have to listen to expletives every other second. Lastly, the heat, my god, every diner was complaining about how hot it was in there. It was crazy. In the smoking/vaping area most people just popped out to escape the heat. It was crazy stuffy. I'm sure you could set it to a nice 18/19 degrees? Overall, everything was ok but my god and would visit again but my God, please turn the heating down, literally everyone was complaining.

This is a classic old British pub with a modern flare. If you like your food, you will not be disappointed by the portion sizes. They are BIG. Staff here are friendly and on the right side of funny. It helps to create a pleasant atmosphere and they should be proud of this. There is one woman in particular that brings the atmosphere. She has her children working there also, and she is a delight. It's important to recognise such service. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a proper local with hearty food and an even heartier personality.

Cafe
Nestled beside the picturesque Locking Park, Parkside Cafe is an idyllic spot to unwind on a sunny day. While the kids enjoy their playtime in the park, you can savor a delightful cup of coffee paired with one of their scrumptious cakes. This charming cafe is perfect for afternoon tea, offering generous portions at reasonable prices—so much so that you might need a doggy bag! The friendly couple running the place ensures everyone feels welcome, making it an excellent choice for families.
Such a lovely little cafe in the heart of Locking village. We had lunch here and it was excellent in both taste and value for money. The victoria sponge was so good. Will definitely return when in the area again.

The Headline - Excellent Value For Money, Great Quality Ingredients and a Lovely Atmosphere. Read on for Full Review We've lived in Weston for many many years and have tried pretty much every cafe in Weston, but this was our 1st time trying 'Parkside Cafe' in Locking. It's owned and ran by Dan who cooks all the food and his Wife, who works as front of house. 1st impressions were very good, from the outside it looks very cute, inside was very clean and tidy, good quality table and chairs, it was quite small inside, but that gave it a nice homely feel. We were lucky getting a table, I would recommend booking if you want to go yourself, to avoid disappointment. As we walked in, the lady (apologies I didn't get her name, and I can't find it on their website and/or the Facebook page) was very attentive, offering us a high chair for little one. She took our drinks order, while we checked out the menu. There was a good choice of food on the menu, including some great breakfast options without being overwhelming, including vegetarian. From what I can gather they specialise in their 'Afternoon Tea'. We placed our order, I chose the 'Large Breakfast' (photo below). While we waited for our food, lots of people were coming in and out, either to eat in or to grab a coffee on the go. It's clear to see they have built up a great relationship with the local community. Which is key to running a family owned cafe out of town. We had a short wait for the food, 1st impressions of the food was again, very good. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and everything, including my poached egg was cooked perfectly, no grease in sight. I'm sure it was locally sourced. One of the signs of a great fry up is a good quality sausage, we've had so many fry ups, where a cheap sausage has let it down. These sausages were amazing, along with the bacon. Even the bread was fresh and not just your normal cheap supermarket loaf. You can have a great breakfast, but if the place decides to use 'cheap' immatation sauces, it can be ruined. No complaints in this area again, I can't confirm if it was the well known brand of sauce, but both the red and brown was very tasty. All through our time here, the service was impeccible. We'll definitely be coming back. We're looking forward to trying the afternoon tea next. Another bonus about the cafe is it's located just opposite a park, so if you have young children they can burn off all their sweet treats. There is also outside seating avaliable to. Thank you to Dan and his Wife for one of the best breakfast we've had and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Mark, Kate, Freya & Olivia x

Took my dad for afternoon tea. So nice and so much food ,we had to bring some home. Delicious sandwiches and freshly baked cakes and scones. All served on pretty, dainty china as afternoon tea should be! Really friendly too. We'll be back again, maybe breakfast next time.

After reading the reviews I decided to book at Parkside for afternoon tea as a treat for my sister. Absolutely delicious! We had a lovely time at Parkside Cafe.

We pre booked and as I have coeliac the owner made me my own muffins (chocolate & Victoria sponge.) my allergy is pretty severe, and I always get nervous about eating out due to cross contamination. The owner made sure all the other food was out before preparing my cakes and he cleaned the work area really well before doing it. I was so happy as most places say they have gluten free but use the same work surface or same prep utensils, but he was very aware of everything and very careful. I will definitely recommend here if you have an allergy. Just let them know before hand and they go above and beyond to cater for you. The cakes were delicious and they even gave me the left over cakes to take home. The waitress was very lovely and attentive even though the cafe was full and the prices are amazing. 100% recommend for everyone!

Superb little cafe with an outlook over the village park. The service was excellent and the food promptly arrived & was tasty. Definitely recommend & will be returning soon. Thank you.

Well. T'was a Saturday morning. The wife had booked the table at the cafe as a get-together breakfast for our holiday car hire meeting day with our friends. Why? I have no idea. This being the last get-together breakfast since we were in Edinburgh on a long weekend visit. When it cost us a staggering (stabbering) (wallet busting hammering stammering) 80 of of the best Pound Sterling. Anyhoo.!. The Breakfast it self at Parkside was cooked and presented beautifully. Attentive staff nice big pot of tea. Now!. I'm addicted to toast, of which there was plenty supplied. Also, a bit bit extra, which was a pleasant surprise. All in all, a wonderful english breakfast reasonably priced (unlike Edingburgh) served with lots of toast and a smile. Thank you, Parkside Cafe.

Seen happy reviews and decided to try this place. 20 minutes waiting time for a regular breakfast is not good. We were served coffee straight away, but by the time we got the breakfast, of course, the coffee was stone cold. Customers, who came after us, got their food sooner. To make things worse, sausages were half cooked. Should have gone elsewhere.
