Ski & Snowboard Areas
Breckenridge Ski Resort is a full-service recreational facility offering ski lessons, rentals, and terrain parks. The resort features on-site lodging with ski services, concierge, and activities desk. Guests can enjoy fully furnished accommodations with full kitchens and mountain views. The property also boasts indoor and outdoor pools as well as outdoor hot tubs for relaxation. In addition to skiing, the area provides access to trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking.
I visited Breckenridge Ski Resort in late April and early May, during the second-to-last week of the season. At that time, only Peak 6 and Peak 7 were open—unfortunately, Peaks 8 through 10 were already closed, which was a bit disappointing. 😕 However, because it was the end of the season, the slopes were pleasantly uncrowded and peaceful. ⛷️ One day during my stay, it snowed about 2 inches, which made for great conditions! Except for the last day (when the snow was a bit slushy), the weather and snow quality were excellent. According to the forecast, they were expecting 6 more inches of snow the following week—snowing in May is pretty wild! ❄️🌨️ Most of the chairlifts on Peak 6 and Peak 7 had footrests, which made the ride up much more comfortable—no need to keep holding up your board the whole time. 👍 The staff were also incredibly friendly. One of them even lent me his personal screwdriver when I couldn’t find the right tool to tighten my snowboard bindings. 🛠️ Really appreciated that kind gesture! Usually, parking 🅿️ at the resort isn’t free—weekday or weekend, you have to pay. But during Locals Appreciation Month in May, parking was free, which was a nice bonus! Breckenridge also offers a free shuttle bus around town. It runs about every 30 minutes and, while not super frequent, it’s still a convenient option if you don’t want to deal with parking. Overall, despite some terrain being closed, it was a great late-season experience. I’d love to come back earlier in the season to explore more of the mountain! 🏔️

Fun for all ages; cold on top of the mountain, a light garment is advisable. Gondolas are free to hop in and out, coaster was great. A place for families with dogs, young and old alike. Love it!
Fabiana C — Google review
We took the gondola up to Breckenridge Ski Resort — it’s the third stop — and when you get out, even in summer, there’s plenty to do. You can ride the mountain slide, play mini golf, or check out a few other fun activities. There’s a nice outside restaurant and bar area where you can relax, and I loved that they had big chess set up too. Being up there was gorgeous — the mountain views are amazing. If you want to go even higher, you can take a chairlift up to the very top. I really enjoyed the whole experience. It’s a great spot to spend time in the summer, not just winter.

Favorite place to take the family skiing!! The double black diamond trains are the best with breathtaking views. Even during holiday weekends, this resort does not feel crowded at all. Highly suggest getting an epic pass and pre-purchase your lift tickets Trails are very well groomed, and average snowfall Here is perfect.

It's our first time in Breckenridge (my husband and I) and we're in love! We're definitely coming back. We don't ski, and we like to travel off season. We're here in the fall and loving every minute of it. There's so much to see and so many places to visit and drive through, it's never a dull moment. You don't want to drive anywhere? You can always hike the slopes and enjoy the views from up above. It reminds me of my childhood spent hiking in the Carpathian mountains. If you have a chance to come here even off season, take it. You won't regret it.
Cristina T — Google review
Fun summer day on the mountain, plenty to do for all ages. The gravity coaster is a blast as was the slide. Taking the chair lift to the top, and back down, gives you awesome views of the mountains and the valley.
G N — Google review
Fun activities, alpine slides and alpine roller coasters, along with some other stuff like bungee trampolines. The alpine slides were very fun but the waits made them almost not worth it. And it was very expensive. Expect at least ~$100 dollars unless you only want to go on one ride (which would be ~$45) We also skipped lunch because of the crappy food that was also incredibly expensive, so bring your own. So overall: •Rides (Alpine slides specifically) - 5 stars •Waits - 3 stars (An hour sometimes) •Food - 1 star, didn’t even eat, too expensive for what they offered Personally I would’ve gone on a beautiful hike for free but it was still a great day.
Jorge R — Google review
We loved this place, I can't help but to be honest that the people at the front desk are super friendly, but the maid service and workers doing renovations are not. Not 1 of them. My suspicion tells me it's because of their ethnicity and aren't treated fairly or equally. The resort itself is pretty beautiful with great amenities. My only advice would be....don't forget the people on the front lines.

BreckConnect Gondola

(1845)
Ski resort
The BreckConnect Gondola in Breckenridge offers free rides from the town center to the bases of peaks 7 and 8, providing access to skiing, summer hikes, and a fairground. It's a popular activity for families with kids as it provides breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. At Peak 8 Mountain, visitors can enjoy various activities such as mountaintop lunches and hikes.
BreckConnect Gondola is one of those rare attractions that offers something for everyone — whether you’re a thrill-seeking adventurer, a nature lover, or a family with young kids looking for a fun and scenic day out. 🌄 Stunning Views on the Ride The gondola ride itself is an unforgettable experience. It whisks you smoothly from downtown Breckenridge up to the mountain base in just under 15 minutes. Along the way, you’re treated to panoramic views of the Tenmile Range, charming alpine forests, and the town below. It’s a great opportunity to sit back, relax, and soak in the beauty of Colorado — perfect for photos and videos. 🎢 Summer Fun – Not Just a Ski Resort While most people associate Breckenridge with skiing, the summer activities at the top of the gondola are just as exciting. At Epic Discovery, kids (and adults) can enjoy: • Mountain biking trails with lift access for all skill levels • Alpine slides and coasters for adrenaline-pumping fun • Zip lines, rope courses, and climbing walls • A scenic alpine loop hike that’s easy and kid-friendly • Wildlife spotting — keep an eye out for marmots, foxes, and even moose 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Perfect for Families What makes BreckConnect Gondola truly special is how family-friendly it is. The ride is free, which is a huge bonus for families with multiple kids. The mountaintop area offers plenty of space to run around, interactive learning stations, and shaded picnic areas where you can relax while the kids play. It’s a great way to keep children entertained while also enjoying the great outdoors.
JIGNESH G — Google review
The gondola is free, it's an awesome scenic ride starting right by main street in town, stop at shock hill, then peak 7 and then peak 8, there's some bars and restaurants at both peaks with great views, then the ride back down is just as scenic, can definitely spend an hour or two with the family see some views and get some coffee at peak 8 without skiing.
Bob H — Google review
Such a beautiful stress free ride. So scenic. The views are amazing!
Veronica L — Google review
Awesome experience and great ride for my first time. Lovely location with lots of activities at peak 8.
Brett — Google review
Gondola and parking are free in the summer. Kids love soaring over the condos and the animal preserve. Gondola takes you up to the ski base area. In summer, they have a lot of (expensive) adventure activities. Slightly cheaper to buy online for pickup at the will-call window rather than the on-site window. Look around to see what you'd like to do, then see the information booth in the center for pricing options. Then use the available QR Code and your smartphone to get the online discount. Take water. Like at any ski location, food and drink are nearly+50% to double the cost downtown. I will say the Alpine Slide is a unique thrill and worth a try. It's a three to four minute ride depending on how fast you go. The area is US Forest Service land so you can also go hiking.
Michael B — Google review
We went during the summer and it was free to ride the gondola , which was awesome! And went up to the top and had a beer. Was a good ride!
Kelsie C — Google review
The gondola was super fun, despite getting stuck up there for 25 minutes. The views were beautiful! The attendant Austin T. greeted us with a smile and kind word each time we got off (we road several times).
Caylee S — Google review
Visited Colorado for the first time back at the end of April and I have never seen snow like this. It was absolutely crazy!! Mind blowing to see this amount of snow. I am from the South, where we hardly (if ever) experience weather like this. So beautiful!! Straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. I was floored. Seeing all the skiers made me want to book a ski trip in the future. Gondala ride is free. It’s constantly moving, so you just hop on and go up the top of the mountain. Beautiful forests, wildlife, etc. super easy to use. Definitely a must do if you’re in the area, even if you’re not staying and/or skiing!!

Nestled in the heart of Breckenridge, The Gold Pan Saloon is a charming establishment that has been serving up good times since 1879. With its rich history and rustic ambiance, this iconic saloon boasts the longest liquor license west of the Mississippi. Step inside to enjoy hearty breakfasts, delicious bar food, and a wide selection of brews while soaking in the nostalgic atmosphere.
Hannah was an incredible server, the best I think I’ve ever had. Wonderful atmosphere- enough noise to keep it lively but allows comfortable conversation. Picture perfect quality food with taste to match! We’ve routinely had the same food stops during our visits in town for the last 10 years and this place changes everything. Definitely go to Gold Pan Saloon!

I had a great time at the Gold Pan Saloon in Breckenridge! The atmosphere was lively, and the food was incredible. Brittany, our server, was fantastic—super friendly and knowledgeable. She recommended the Lamb Dip with garlic fries and a special sauce, and it did *not* disappoint. The flavors were amazing, and the fries were perfectly crispy! I paired it with a local Colorado beer on draft, which was a perfect match. To top it off, we finished the meal with their Crème Brûlée, which was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet ending. The only downside was the live music—it was a bit too loud for comfort. It was hard to have a conversation without raising our voices, which I think detracted from the overall experience. If they could turn the volume down just a little, it would make the atmosphere perfect. Despite that, I’ll definitely be back for the great food and the wonderful service from Brittany!

We loved the Gold Pan Saloon. Our waitress was amazing and our food order came quick. We tried a couple of their red house wines from tap. It was a perfect semi- sweet wine. They had a happy hour and we ordered a pork slider and a chicken slider. They were very good and nicely presented. For dinner, I ordered the Cobb Salad with chicken and my wife had the Burrata and a bowl of French onion soup. When our dishes arrived, I had to double check to make sure I wasn't at a 5 star restaurant. The dishes were presented as such. The flavors of our food were just as top notch. Check out my pictures. I would totally recommend this bar restaurant for an amazing meal. The decor isn't 5 star but reminds you of being in a saloon from the 1800's. This is actually why we went here. We love history. For us, this was the perfect mix of history and amazing food.

This was such a cool bar! The food looked delicious but we just went to the bar for a drink. The bartender Nick was awesome! Very friendly and you could tell he was an expert at his craft. He made me a delicious mimosa with an extra kick of orange vodka that really stepped it up a notch. I saw him prepare some delicious looking chocolate martinis as well. The bar itself is solid carved wood and the whole vibe of the place is great. Highly recommend!
Kim W — Google review
We liked the great old time atmosphere, excellent service, food cooked exactly how we asked, and bartender with a quick sense of humor. The Cuban sandwich, gold pan burger and chicken Caesar wrap were outstanding. The craft beers were good, too. We will return.

We had a wonderful Halloween night at gold pan! So much fun! The DJ was on it all night playing to the crowd. Sammy and Aaron were very attentive even with the busy bar. They both remembered our party’s order every time we returned for a drink. Very friendly and welcoming!
Buffy G — Google review
Nick the bar tender is absolutely amazing, he knows his stuff, and is super charming, and funny. It makes me happy every time I’m lucky enough to belly up when he’s on shift. I cannot say enough good things about the Gold Pan Saloon. It has become my go-to tradition every time I'm in Breckenridge. There is nothing better than walking in here after freezing on the slopes all day; the atmosphere is instantly welcoming and warm. The food is fantastic comfort food, and the staff treats you like a local right away—great service is hard to find these days, but they nail it here. Whether you're grabbing a drink or a full meal, the crowd is always happy and the energy is contagious. If you want the authentic Breck experience, you have to go to the Gold Pan.

Had one of the best French onion soups of my life here- Incredible cheese pull! Great food all around and our server Katina was very friendly and informative about menu items. Rustic mining atmosphere was very fun but can get a bit crowded with people standing at the bar. Overall great experience!

This lively tavern offers a warm atmosphere where locals and visitors alike can enjoy local beers, inventive cocktails, and hearty comfort food. From open mic nights to live music performances, there's always something happening at this friendly establishment.
We got the pulled pork poutine, spam fries, and a salad to balance out all the richness. (I would almost say the cheese sauce in addition to curds in poutine was right on the edge of too rich. But we ate the whole thing anyway 🤷‍♀️) The food was really rich and delicious, staff was nice, and the kitschy atmosphere made more a good place to stop for lunch ¨̮

Such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend getting salmon here! Their uniforms are amazing & the decor is mom-themed. Outdoor patio available too! The bathroom is a tight squeeze but it was clean & stocked.

Excellent for comfort food, cool cocktails and hanging out on the back patio. Seating on the patio is first-come, first-served and you’re supposed to check in with the receptionist at the front of the restaurant. Live music on most nights and always a good time.

Great find. Good drinks, staff was fun and the nachos were made with in house chips. Keep it up!!
Aaron H — Google review
I had the salmon fish and chips and found the salmon to be great. The fries are thin and crispy. The sauce that came with the fish and chips was a bit sweet for my liking, but overall good. My partner had the spicy chicken burger and said it was fine. We’re used to an array of spices, so this wasn’t the absolute best. Service was great and we were there for a live music night which made it even better sitting outside.
Sydney T — Google review
Server was drunk out of her mind taking shots with customers at the bar. She had to ask us twice what our order was. Each request we asked her, it was at least a 20 second delayed response from her. It's a shame that people come from thousands a miles away go to have a nice dinner and can't even enjoy it because some drunk server made the dinner experience very unenjoyable. Overall food is good, server was a waste of a tip.

Crepes A La Cart is a popular destination in Breckenridge, known for its sweet and savory crepes. The restaurant has two locations on Main Street, with the option of a sit-down location across the street for shorter wait times. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from the Breck Ribeye to Smores, as well as build-your-own crepes with an extensive list of ingredients such as fresh fruits, nuts, meats, veggies, cheeses, and specialty sauces.
Theses crepes were delicious! A friend ordered one with butter and cinnamon and loved it. Mine was a bananas foster crepe. We had a bit of a wait but it was worth it!
Rhonda F — Google review
I have many fond memories of this place from years ago. I would consider it an iconic part of the Breckenridge experience. These days you still have crepes served from the "cart" up front but now you have a deck built around it with separate register and seating. Crepes are now $15. However, the pricing model is inflammatory. You get charged a "to go" fee. You get charged a mandatory 18% gratuity even before any service has been rendered. Also this is counter service. There's another 3% credit card fee. They prompt you for even more tip. Jesus, just make the crepes $22 and call it a day.
Brian T — Google review
The crepes, both savory and sweet, are really good. The ordering process has gone digital which seems like it should speed up the line, but I’m not sure it does. There is minimal seating so I’d get my order prepared so it’s wrapped to go. Overall, I highly recommend if you’re willing to wait for your order to be prepared and served up.
Grish240 — Google review
Our group of five had both savory and sweet crepes and sat on the patio. Everyone enjoyed their crepes and then we got a couple extra sweet ones for the drive home! Definitely recommend stopping in!!
Jennifer G — Google review
We just picked up some crepes, apparently I was ordering through the menu super fast because I felt like the gratuity screen was very refreshing only asking for 7%. It wasn’t until I paid $53 for two crepes where I was like huh, that’s really freaking expensive. I went on here to check reviews and sure enough. Crazy fees and condescending remarks. That’s sad, such a great town with generally great hospitality. This just is taking advantage of is customers which is such an odd strategy. One of our crepes was delicious though.
Allie V — Google review
These crepes are the best! Pictures show the Strawberry Shortcake and Apple Strudel. It is worth the splurge!
Annette G — Google review
Crepes were good and service was friendly but really not much service other than calling your name when your order is ready as you order through a kiosk which makes the mandatory 18% gratuity more questionable ,,,, there is also a 2% "resort fee" and a 3% credit card fee with no option to pay cash so you are looking at 23% in mandatory fees so be aware of that. Average was over $25 per Crepe both times we went.
Jack T — Google review
I paid 30% EXTRA total. 18 PERCENT DEFAULT GRATUITY + 3 PERCENT CREDIT CARD FEE + THE AUDACITY TO ASK FOR A SECOND TIP? (as a little bonus, +50 cents to cut a crepe in half too ..) UPDATE: Below, the owner is claiming you aren’t forced to pay AT MINIMUM 18% gratuity. This is a complete lie and is illegal. The TIP is mandatory and is a hidden fee. Read the other reviews. These people are scammers and liars. 3 crepes for 75 dollars. hardly worth it, I could buy not only the ingredients but also all the supplies to cook the crepes myself for that price. If i knew the crepe industry was this profitable i would've started my own stall. 22 percent default "tip" is ridiculous for a mid crepe, no indoor seating and no service. don't bother stopping buy, have some fun with your family instead- better yet, get an actual meal at the wide range of great restaurants here and don't waste your time and money like I did. Instead of charging abysmal amounts on tips, pay your employees more. I highly doubt they give even half of the gratuity to their employees. crazy how much social media can blind you huh?

Sculpture
Isak Heartstone, also known as the Breckenridge Troll, is a famous wooden troll sculpture located in the forest near Breckenridge, Colorado. Created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, this large-scale art piece sits along Illinois Creek off of Boreas Pass Road. Visitors can enjoy a charming hike through evergreen woods to reach the troll, which offers a great photo opportunity. It's important to note that climbing on the sculpture is discouraged.
Great stop if you’re in the area. A bit slippery when it snows because the hikers pack it down and it turns to ice so if you have spikes or good shoes I’d recommend it. Plenty of parking and only a few mins to walk out and back from the lot.
Rachel W — Google review
Great short walk in what seems like a magical forest. There are two one-way trails, inbound and outbound so that visitors can enjoy the area without feeling crowded. Went on a day when not very many other people were there. It was serene and relaxing. The whole family enjoyed this experience. I would recommend a stop even if you are just passing through. A great break from traveling.

Really cool wooden statue. Its always pretty busy with people so be patient and take your time. The kids loved it. The trails are well maintained and can handle a lot of foot traffic. The hike in is easy and there is plenty of parking. From the parking lot its about a 1-2 minute hike in.
Jrod K — Google review
When my wife and I came here it was very peaceful. No one else was around, the trails were very beautiful and quiet. Seeing him made us very happy, to see the craftsmanship that went into him is amazing. We really had a good time, walking the trails, snapping pictures and just enjoying the peace. No tickets are necessary to enjoy Isak.
Enoch V — Google review
Shorter walk to the actual Troll than we thought, but amazing to see! Also glad there were some other trails. Super easy trails which were perfect for a morning stroll.
Fox Z — Google review
We took the trail up to see Isak in all his glory. We were impressed and delighted to see him. Worth a visit if you are in the area. I recommend also following the trail around for some great scenery.
Rosanna B — Google review
An easy walk from the parking lot. On a nice day, it is probably even accessible with mobility carts, because the ground is compact. Part of the left path is wooden. Isak is pretty big and impressive. Nothing else down his way though, so it's just in-and-out. 15-20 minutes at an casual pace.
Mick J — Google review
Short, easy stroll through the woods on soft trails and well-maintained boardwalks to get to the troll. To extend your hike there are connecting trails that go much deeper into the forest and up the mountain. The troll itself is a really cool sight, just sitting on the ground with his arm around a tree, meticulously constructed with wood and sticks. Such a fun sculpture. Now I’ll have to seek out the others!

The serving sizes are massive and are well worth the cost. The place is nice and clean, with several seating options. The food was also some of the better Thai food me and my boyfriend have had. The only critique I have is the waiting time. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food but I also think they might have been understaffed. That being said they still always had our drinks filled and the staff was beyond kind.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Incredible – A Must-Visit in Breckenridge! Bangkok Happy Bowl gave us one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Breckenridge! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and top-notch service — shoutout to Aiden and Andrew, who made the night extra special with their friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind service. We kicked things off with a round of cocktails: the Lemon Drop Martini, Blood Orange Martini, Mai Thai, and Ginger Pear Mule — each one was crafted perfectly, refreshing, and full of flavor. For dinner, we ordered a spread of Thai classics: the Tom Kha Chicken (creamy, flavorful, and comforting), Pad See Ew, Panang Curry, and of course the Pad Thai. Every bite was absolutely delicious — rich, authentic, and deeply satisfying. You can tell the kitchen puts real heart into each dish. We had an incredible evening — from the cocktails to the cuisine, and especially the service from Aiden and Andrew. Bangkok Happy Bowl is a gem in Breckenridge, and we can’t wait to come back!

Delicious food, generous portions, and excellent service. The staff really made us feel welcome. We loved the Red Curry creamy, spicy, and perfectly balanced. The sushi was also surprisingly high quality for a mountain town.

The Chicken Satay appetizer was great, the cucumber sauce that accompanies it was delicious in its own right. I wasn't too fond of the egg rolls as the filling inside was like mush, I prefer when the inside is more firm so a bit of a turn off there. (This seems to be a consistent issue at many places so maybe I have the wrong impression of what the filling in an egg roll should be like). I'm not a fan of orange chicken in general but my companion was, and he enjoyed the orange chicken bowl. The carrots and broccoli in the bowl were minimal and were my favorite part, I love me some veggies and would have ordered a bowl of those separately. I wish the bowl contained more veggies. The rice was as to be expected, yummy. Service was prompt, to include getting our order promptly after ordering. Would recommend. But don't know if I would return. Worth the try. We sat on the back patio, where the restaurant next door had a live singer, that was a nice touch to our meal.

I always try to review only after visiting a place twice. While the food is good the service is slow. Yesterday I came with only two other tables filled and it took 15 minutes to get miso soup and another 10 to get my potstickers which were warm, not hot. Today I am the only customer and it took another 20 minutes to receive my shy mi order. Now lets look at cost, see the photo below with water to drink was 19.28! These are the size of a quarter at the base and there are 5.

First here. I was so surprised how good the food is!! We had lunch and ordered beef pad see ew, chicken fried rice, egg rolls, and had mango sticky rice for dessert. The chicken fried rice was exceptionally tasty!! Loved the flavors and texture of the egg rolls. Pad see ew was a little salty to me, but still good. I really enjoyed the mango sticky rice. I would totally come back and eat here again!! Really satisfied my Asian food cravings 🥰

Cafe
Columbine Café is a popular spot in Breckenridge known for its breakfast, sandwiches, and house-made corned beef hash. The cozy space with a patio attracts both locals and visitors, offering a warm atmosphere and mountain views. It's especially busy during the ski season, with long wait times for tables. The café's traditional breakfast options and friendly service make it worth the wait, with oversized pancakes being a highlight.
We had a delicious breakfast here. The house made corned beef hash is delicious. My husband had oatmeal. Coffee could have been better, it was just OK. A bit pricey, but worth it!

Great breakfast! We were so happy with this place! Great service and very good food! Real maple syrup available!!! Perfectly cooked scrambled eggs! Lots of coffee refills. We parked a few blocks away and walked. The entrance sits between streets in a little alley way that stretches between the Main Street and the alley way it took a minute for us to figure that out but really it just added to the experience.

We appreciated that this cafe had a wide variety of food. Our kids loved the chicken tenders, fries and fruit cups. The food tasted very good, but the biscuits were dry. Our server was very helpful and friendly. They gave our kids a coloring page and crayons while we waited for our food.

This cafe was very good. The menu is vast and everything we tried was good! Nothing stood out as incredible, however. If you’re looking for an easy breakfast place in Breck, this might be the one for you!

I ordered an omelete for breakfast and it was delicious, they have gluten free options and a great variety of dishes, the burrito was also good, I would come back again!

Excellent breakfast and selection! Veronica was a wonderful server! Had the trout and eggs. The green pork chili was excellent! The homemade corn beef hash had a nice smokie flavor! Everything excellent!! Didn't have the big pancakes, but took a picture of them. They looked good too!!

Columbine is a treasure! We always go for breakfast and they have giant delicious pancakes. I’ve also had their omelettes and eggs Benedict. Lots of varieties to choose from. Last time I got the steak Benedict and blueberry pancakes.

Came with a group of 6 and waited for about 5-10 minutes for a table on a Saturday morning. Ordered the Steak Benedict and was amazing the hash browns were great as well. Food was so good that we ended up coming for breakfast Sunday morning as well. Definitely would recommend this place.

American restaurant
Lounge
Modis Breck is a two-level restaurant in Breckenridge, Colorado, offering New American cuisine with a local twist. The restaurant is housed in a Victorian home and features a refined atmosphere with brick walls and a skylight. While not specifically gluten-free, the menu does offer gluten-free options. Happy hour runs from 3-6 pm daily, featuring appetizers under $10 and discounted cocktails and wine pours.
Our party of 4 stopped by Modis on a recent trip to Breck in August. We had popped in earlier in the day and the host asked us to pick exactly which table we wanted for dinner. That was a nice touch! The bar is very well-stocked and the bartenders were very skilled as the drinks we were served were exceptional. Dinner continued to impress as all of our entrées were excellent. Of particular note was the Lobster Gnocchi as it was the lightest and fluffiest gnocchi any of us had ever eaten (that includes multiple trips to Italy). We really enjoyed the evening and will certainly be returning the next time we're in town.

Our group’s dinner experience here was, to say the least, an experience - mostly memorable were the interactions we had with our waiter (all positive, lots of laughing and jokes). Our waiter, Adam, rose to the occasion rescuing us with more drinks when we couldn’t rescue ourselves. For food, I ordered the Filet and Brie, and it was very flavorful and filling. There were only ~5 entrees on the dinner menu so you don’t have much to choose from. Someone else in the group ordered the scallops, and commented that it wasn’t very filling for the price compared to other entrees.

Modis is amazing. We've eaten there twice. Both times have been excellent. The food is beyond delicious and the staff is very friendly. This time we ate mussels, pasta, salmon, and butter cake. I would eat all of those again. They do take reservations via open table and I would highly recommend it. The first time we ate there was in the middle of the ski season and it was jammed packed. The second time was at the end of the ski season and it wasn't super crowded.

Nice atmosphere with live jazz music which was a nice touch. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The cocktail drinks were delicious ($14 each though), and the food was decent. I ordered a beet salad and I was hoping for more beets, but there were only a few cubes on top of an arugula salad. Had a skillet cookie for dessert which was gigantic, but the cookie was pretty cakey. I would come back here again.

I’ve been here a few times and I always enjoy the food. They have an extremely gluten-free friendly menu. I got the half chicken, which came with blueberries- yes it sounds weird but they complemented the chicken so beautifully. My friend got the Lamb Lolli’s and really enjoyed them as well.

I enjoyed my early dinner at Modis Breck. It is quintessential Colorado - casual mountain chic. The hostess, server and all staff were very nice, chatty and helpful. The decor is awesome and blends historic and modern well. I had the scallops with the carrot ginger bisque. Both were very tasty. The prices were high, but what you would expect in Breckenridge.

Absolutely beautiful resturant.. Such a romantic atmosphere once you step inside. We love the cocktails and the filet & bree entree was to die for!! We also got the Apple pie ice cream.. And my wife said it's her favorite apple pie dessert she's ever had! I would highly recommend making a reservation here and getting the best of Breckenridge! Sam our server was super friendly and knowledgeable.. He was very versed in Whisky's and was able to give a good recommendation for both the cocktails and the food! 5- Star is every aspect!!

Visiting breckenridge for a couple of days and decided to try this place. The mussels and oysters were delicious along with the steak. The decor of the restaurant reminded me of a speakeasy bar.

Restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Breckenridge, Whiskey Star Smokehouse is a delightful haven for barbecue lovers and whiskey aficionados alike. This industrial-style eatery features two inviting patios where guests can savor authentic Texas-style barbecue, expertly smoked in-house with Texas Post Oak wood. The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering options, including tender brisket, succulent pork ribs, flavorful pulled pork, juicy chicken, and zesty sausage.
We were vacationing in Breckenridge for the first time and visited this restaurant. It was beginning to get cold outside in the evenings (mid-October) and we requested to be seated upstairs--hoping it would be a little warmer. It was and we were pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere. Both service and food were excellent. In fact, we enjoyed the BBQ so much, we came back for the last meal of our vacation. Over the two visits, I tried ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and the chicken wings. They were all excellent. And if you like whiskey, they have an amazing selection, including the rare stuff like Pappy and Stagg. Most of the whiskeys seemed to be fairly priced. Highly recommend!

I decided to make a little road trip up to Breckenridge—my first time visiting this charming mountain town—and quickly regretted not booking a room for the night. The streets were buzzing, the air was crisp, and to top it off, it was Bacon & Bourbon Weekend. After wandering past what felt like an endless lineup of tempting eateries, my craving for BBQ won out, and I landed here. The experience was close to five-star worthy, with just one hiccup: the place was noticeably understaffed. That said, Brittany—the bartender who also doubled as my server—handled a packed bar and a floor of tables with grace. If she was stressed, you’d never know it. Her service, with its easy smile and unfaltering pace, was five stars on its own. Now, the food. Let’s talk brisket. Their dry-rub brisket was melt-in-your-mouth perfection—tender, smoky, and seasoned so well it didn’t need a drop of sauce (though they did offer a solid lineup for those who like to dabble). If I could do it again, I’d order double the meat. The cornbread? Classic southern-style, crumbly but moist, just the way it should be. The mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying, though it stopped short of being unforgettable. The vibe sealed the deal. Country tunes drifted through the space, and the bourbon and whiskey selection was nothing short of impressive. I could easily imagine this spot as the perfect evening hangout, a place to linger over good music and great drinks. If work ever brought me to Breckenridge for a longer stint, this would no doubt become my go-to after-hours haunt.

Whiskey Star Smokehouse has warm and classic ranch style atmosphere. There is a patio with a fire pit and seating out front then there is a balcony off the back on the second floor. There's interceding for restaurant and 1st and 2nd floor. The bar is on the first floor at the entrance. The smoke biscuit was amazing well as the ribs old fashioned.

Enjoyed the live music in the bar. Very busy but still had great service. Friendly staff. A lot of people in Breckenridge were not friendly, which is odd for a tourist destination. So, Whiskey Star Smokehouse stood out and was worth a review. Had some great drinks and fun small plates.

2nd visit in last two trips. Absolutely love their bbq. The nachos were the star of the meal. I always enjoy their brisket too. Definitely a got to if we make it thru town.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and was by far our favorite spot we went to in all of Breck.. we were there for a few days and kept smelling this place from the river walk so we finally went in for a meal and the bartender/ server that helped us we believe his name was Logan, he was super friendly.. very knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant.. we trusted his recommendations on the whiskey flight and definitely wasn't disappointed. Amazing service, DELICIOUS BBQ and just all together a great experience!! Dont forget to order the pig shots 😋

I had lunch here with my husband and we had a great experience! The customer service was noticeably attentive and positive. The bartender who served us was especially kind. They accommodated my gluten allergy with ease - the menu clearly identified what had gluten in it as well. We got the deviled eggs and the brisket platter with mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! It was a bonus that the gravy was also gluten free. We will definitely be back.

The brisket is good. I got the sliced brisket sandwich. It comes on a buttered bun. Portions are small but the smoked brisket is worth a taste. Prices are high for what you get. There are several sauces to choose from. Full bar. Fast friendly service. Coke products in a glass.
