Forests
Prescott National Forest is a vast wilderness area with around 450 miles of trails, campgrounds and fishing spots. For those seeking an adventure, taking the AZ 89-a route through the mountains offers stunning panoramic views of pine tree-covered mountains. However, it's not recommended for those who are afraid of heights or winding mountain roads with hairpin turns. The forest is well-maintained and has plenty of lookout points and trails for visitors to explore.
I absolutely adore the drive up through this area! My fiance and I have to go up this way about once a month and it's always such a beautiful drive. Especially when the mountains are snow peaked! Didn't get such beautiful pictures this time but that's primarily because I was taking pictures of the courthouse and not the mountains and scenery LOL
Michelle L — Google review
If you knew to the area or just haven’t done it yet there’s also the Butte loop go out to take the main road. Keep on the main road all the way it’ll take you out copper basin Road but halfway there is the lookout down skull Valley and Yarnell area. Beautiful scenery. Wouldn’t do it in the snow go check it out takes about an hour and a half take your time site to see.

Beautiful place to visit, live, camp, hike, explore the beauty of nature it's scenery and its wildlife. I live close to downtown prescott in the park avenue area and we see deer and other wildlife daily. The animals are pretty tame for being wild we have deer that will come and eat right from our hands and let's pet them. Love living here it's beautiful.
Mando H — Google review
Beautiful place for hiking, or kayaking or just for a nice afternoon lunch. The facilities are always clean and the areas are litter free. Always a great time! Addendum added 03/01/21 With the severe drought we’ve had up here in the past couple of years, the water line has receded a good 6-8 feet and although the lake is still great for kayaking, the waterfall and of course the creek has been dried up for a while. It’s still a beautiful, clean, safe place for any outdoor activities so please go and enjoy!
Paula S — Google review
It’s pretty fun here we saw lots of new buggies and we went to lynx Lake here. That was pretty fun. And there is lots to do here. There’s a trail around that took us about two hours to go around and it’s pretty fun seeing the ducks there there’s a ton of them.

You probably don't need me to tell you...but I will anyway. Mountain biking around Prescott is AMAZING! The entire city is surrounded by trails. In fact there's literally a 57 mile trail that loops the entire city. There are trails for all skill level but be sure to pick up a map of the local trails and stick to the ones you think you can do. Coincidentally the $1 map you can pick up around town is the best one I've seen. If you're into apps then go with MTB project app for great details, plus it runs in airplane mode so you won't blow your battery searching for signals. Hiking and trail running these same trails is very popular. Plenty to do up there. Camping is all on a first-come basis. Most sites are easily found off the upper portion of Thumb Butte Rd. High clearance vehicles not needed but definitely a plus, the county does not maintain the roads and they are closed in the winter. For any other details, well you'll just have to check it out yourself.
J B — Google review
Great hike, fun for all ages. Out and back. Granite mountain is awesome and it's better now that all the dead and burnt plant life has pretty much disappeared after the fire some years ago. Lots more green everywhere.

Park
A.C. Williams Granite Creek Park is a beloved community hub that offers a variety of recreational activities for both locals and visitors. The park boasts well-maintained green spaces, inviting picnic areas, and amenities such as a hiking trail, playground, horseshoe pit, and bike mounds. It also features a storybook walk around the park and a creek alongside it. Visitors can enjoy an interactive reading experience with their children or grandchildren through the Story Walk Granite Creek program offered by the Prescott Library.
Beautiful park for kids, dogs, and adults! There are two separate play structures, one for small kids and one for older kids. So fun!!!! The park has covered spaces for a family gathering and wide open spaces for sports. It’s beautifully maintained.

This park is a hidden gem! From the bike pump track to the storybook walk for kids, there's something for everyone. The towering trees, scenic creek and bridge, volleyball court, sprawling green grass, and fun jungle gym make it a perfect spot for families. Our dogs had an absolute blast, and we had a great time too. Highly recommend!
Jack M — Google review
This is one of our most favorite parks in the area. In the summer the splash pad is amazing and packed with kiddos. In the fall it’s wonderful and a nice place to relax and let my little one play. I love the theme of the park, the train play area is incredible. Really well thought out and lots of different play activities for both younger and older kiddos. Currently the city wants to pave this park, which would be an incredible loss to the community.
Courtney A — Google review
We had quite a good time having our work picnic here! Plenty of space and the weather was beautiful that day. The only thing I would suggest is getting the bathrooms on the far side of the park fixed. It’s a bit of a far walk to the bathroom and we had to take several trips because we also had lots of kids.
Danielle A — Google review
Fun place to take kids and has hiking trails. But be warned and keep yours eyes open as there can be some weirdos. Plenty of friendly people visit here regularly. Also a lot of people bring their dogs. Overall a nice park to visit and explore. You can take the trail to a splash just off Whiskey Row.
Ted ( — Google review
It looks like a nice park but.... I took a lunch to enjoy beautiful weather. Upon arriving the parking was rather full and not many people on the grounds. I parked my car and was hit with a putrid smell, it turns out the parking lot was full of homeless people living in their vehicles! I wasn't able to breathe the fresh and clean air of Prescott in a park because of un-showered homeless, very sad and depressing.
M F — Google review
The park is huge admist lush greenery. We sat on the picnic mat . The weather was perfect,we had late picnic lunches gane of Frisbee. Our year old baby enjoyed crawling. It's nice and peaceful.
Vandana E — Google review
The city needs to maintain the park better. The "sand" in the volleyball court is an injury waiting to happen. The light near the court is drowned by the overgrown tree. The horseshoe pit is trash. Absolutely zero respect put into this public park, yet your tax dollars are being taken.

Local history museum
Located in downtown Prescott, Arizona, the Sharlot Hall Museum is a captivating history museum housed in a former governor's mansion. Named after its founder, this museum boasts a vast open-air campus with nearly a dozen well-preserved historic buildings showcasing artifacts and exhibits that delve into the area's rich past. From Native American artifacts to early residences and the oldest surviving log cabin in the state, visitors can explore and learn about the region's history from prehistoric times to present day.
I really enjoyed walking through this museum and history park. I was not expecting so many different houses and information. There was a print shop, a school house, a governor's house, transportation area with a stage coach and other modes people used, and more. Plan on spending an hour. The staff here were all pleasant, helpful, and professional.
Rosemary B — Google review
Definitely worth doing if you have some extra time in Prescott. This is the location of the first building, the governors mansion and the first headquarters of government when it was established as the capital. The transportation museum is really awesome and really a lot of really cool replicas and actual old buildings takes you back in time! !!

We loved this museum! Our family - ages 10 to 60+ enjoyed reading, learning, and exploring. We spent three hours here and did not see it all. It was nice that kids are free and that admission covered two days!
Amy R — Google review
I have a lovely time here with my husband, brother, and sister in law. It's a laid back museum that shows artifacts from Prescott History. It's super cute and I found a couple neat books in the gift shop too. You can take a couple of hours to get through it, or, take extra time to sit on the benches and enjoy the landscaping.
Stephanie S — Google review
Omg, this is a must see museum in Prescott, AZ. It's $15 adult admission, but, worth every penny! It is on 4 acres with beautiful landscaping between the historical buildings. Each building has a different theme regarding the history & artifacts of the evolution of Prescott. One is Travel, which has bicycles from the 1800's to an actual covered wagon. Another an original house exactly as it looked, with the household items displayed. I could go on & on. So, if you are lucky enough to be in Prescott, AZ, you should plan it as part of your itinerary.
Angie B — Google review
For those looking for Old West historical enjoyment, Sharlot's Hall Museum and Rose Garden is great Actual buildings from the 1860's have been moved there. In some of the buildings a recording describes the house & the events of the time. In other houses there are individuals that describe the house and the historical individuals who once lived there and what was going on. It was easy for us to spend over three hours there, because we were interested in all the exhibits. The entrance fee was $14. I felt it was worth it.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary in Prescott, AZ is a family-friendly destination offering a unique opportunity to view and interact with various animals. Established in 1988, the sanctuary features spacious enclosures and educational exhibits along the scenic Willow Lake. It is home to a diverse collection of local and exotic animals, with interactive programs that allow visitors to get up close and personal with many of them.
What a fantastic place. Love animals so much, I know it’s hard to see them caged but these cannot be returned to the wild. Great signage, plenty shade and trees, most animals were out and visible. To be that close to a black panther - worth it for that alone. Plenty parking despite school tours. Restrooms were clean. Overall excellent and worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Julia F — Google review
Heritage Park Zoo is a great place for kids. All the exhibits are the perfect height for children, and closer than a larger zoo so you have a better chance of seeing the animals. There are large conservation efforts and it seems like the animals are well taken care of. There is also a playground and water feature for children to run through and scheduled times for feeding where the caretakers introduce the animals, tell their back stories, and educate patrons. There are mostly native species of animals to see with some exotic species as well and they are currently working on expanding the reptile house. Overall neat zoo and a great time for children and adults.
Laura R — Google review
Amazing place for little kids. Really enjoyed how close the animals are. The petting zoo area was a fun spot. There are lots of playgrounds throughout to play on and even a little splash pad. The zookeeper interactive sessions with the bears and jaguar were real highlights!

What a great place! Wow! We were so impressed! Playground, splash pad, and all the animals to see, makes it an awesome experience for kids! Well kept grounds! Highly recommend!

What a fantastic experience! We opted for the private behind the scenes tour (1.5 hours, just under $300 for two people), and it was so worth it. You get up & close to several animals to give them snacks, and the host gives you a plethora of information about the sanctuary and each animal. Dyann was so knowledgeable and a great guide for our experience. The sanctuary is a wonderful cause and well worth every minute. It's not a massive complex either, so it's very easy to take a stroll around with just a few little hills and awesome scenery. Highly recommend!
Kristin M — Google review
Just spent a wonderful few hours visiting the zoo. The park was clean and the walk through clearly marked. The zoo is fairly small compared to those in large cities. We finished the walk through, played in the splash pad (SO glad they had one), and visited the gift shop in about 2.5 hours. We loved seeing the wide assortment of large cats and birds of prey. There was a summer camp happening and all the kids looked like they were having a blast.
John F — Google review
This is a great little zoo. Seems well kept but most of the animals are nowhere to be found of it is a warm day or unless they are being fed. Just be aware of that before you go.

I absolutely loved it!! It was just me and my son that went and we had a blast! All the staff were super friendly and helpful! 10/10 would recommend. (My only "complaint " would be options for food..but thats okay i brought lunch anyway!)

Pizza restaurant
Rosa's Pizzeria in Prescott is a family-owned restaurant that offers a rustic setting with exposed-brick walls. It is part of the Vivili restaurant group, which is the largest in the area and employs over 125 people across its various restaurants. Rosa's Pizzeria stands out as one of Prescott's most celebrated dining spots, serving authentic homemade Sicilian and Southern-Italian recipes along with traditional New York-style pizza.
We’ve been going here for years. They have the best pizza in Prescott and maybe all of AZ. The penne pesto is my absolute favorite pasta dish anywhere. The rice balls are also fantastic. You can’t find better food anywhere. The portions are good, the atmosphere is great and the servers are friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Mario S — Google review
We ordered the regular pizza not silician aka thick crust and it was more like a flour tortilla with cheese and pepperoni. Hardly any sauce on pizza. No flavor no oregano. Waiter didn’t seem to care and didn’t even offer us anything to make it right or even ask us for dessert. I guess once you question their food they want you out of there asap. Sad it used to be a good place.

Came here with my GF, drove all the way from Phoenix, food was great, service was great atmosphere was great, weather was great as well will definitely be back !!
Vic P — Google review
This is my third time visiting Rosa's , this has slowly become my go to pizzeria in Prescott. The food is excellent, service top notch (felt like family) , restaurant is clean spread out and the outdoor patio is perfect for a quick bite and beverage. Price is very fair for the high quality and value. Keep doing what your doing this is what makes people come back. Would highly recommend for anyone in town for a visit.
Matthew D — Google review
Had a great family lunch at Rosa’s Pizzeria. We ordered pasta, Margherita pizza, and white pizza—all were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The crust had that ideal balance of crisp and chew, and the toppings were generous without overpowering. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and service was attentive throughout. A solid spot for families looking for quality Italian food in Prescott.

Best place to eat for itialain style food! Great time, good atmosphere, beautiful place to take a date for date night., or food and beverages with family and friend's. You wont be disappointed!
Larry V — Google review
While we’ve eaten here before and really enjoyed it, what led me to leave a review today is their exceptional service on a pick up order. I had called two other pizza shops looking for someone to help me create a special announcement through food and both of the other ones immediately said they couldn’t help, which is fine, but Rosa’s not only helped, but their staff seemed excited to help be a part of it. I just really appreciated their excitement and assistance and they really helped me create a special, memorable moment. Thank you all so much!! Definitely recommend Rosa’s! Great food and a great place for celebrating big life moments, as they are people who will celebrate with you and show that they really care.

Chipotle is a fast-food chain that specialises in Mexican cuisine, with ingredients that are unprocessed and sustainable. In addition to burritos and tacos, the restaurant also offers bowls and salads. The food is prepared with care and the staff are polite and friendly. This makes Chipotle a great option for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food at an affordable price.
Very clean restaurant. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. The food smelled so awesome. However, the line was too long. Maybe next time. UPDATE: I went back and got a steak salad. It is really good, but the server gave me a small amount of steak cubes. I had to dig and dig to find the steak—it was like looking for a prize in a box of Cracker Jacks. They were out of chips and it was only 5:30 PM.
Shawn H — Google review
Order my usual burrito with the extra cheese, double wrap extra sour cream, extra corn salsa and they went like 10 times the amount on the extras and were giggling when I picked it up. I’m gonna call and see if I can get it replaced but… come on guys this is like a 15 dollar burrito not some play thing for you to screw around with. I appreciate the 4lb burrito (yeah 4lbs on the food scale) but come on guys this is my dinner for the day
Brett C — Google review
The salad did not have the super greens lettuce blend advertised. Many pieces of chicken appear to be from parts you don't want. The brown rice in the burrito was not cooked and felt like little rocks. There does not appear to be any quality control. The staff looked disheveled and seemed to focused on how fast they serve up the order. True definition of fast food. Will not return.
Ronald B — Google review
Bigtime disappointment for a normally great place to get fresh food. All the tables were dirty, had to clean a table so we could sit. The entire restaurant was out of spoons, when we asked the guy at the register if they had spoons, the only syllable he spoke was "no". He then went back to standing there doing nothing. The first gentleman taking the order was great, everyone else clearly hates their jobs and doesn't care about customer service or being a decent human. Plus side, there was no wait, probably because service was so terrible.
Brian E — Google review
There was a long line out the door so must be good, nope. Friday night at 6pm they are out of lettuce, cheese and the rice was crunchy and undercooked. You would hope they would be more prepared for dinner time on a Friday. After waiting in long line for take out it was very disappointing.
Lori L — Google review
My husband has previously left a negative review on Google. On Saturday, May 17th, my husband and I came for lunch. I ordered a salad and was told there was no dressing. I heard the manager ask the kitchen staff for dressing. She never addressed me and never brought dressing out. My husband ordered a bowl, and his rice was undercooked. Before ordering chicken, I asked to sample it because it has been extremely salty in the past. It was edible, but probably still saltier than it should be. My last concern is the state of the restaurant location. The floors are sticky and grimy. Every place My eyes looked was covered in crumbs, food, and debris. We chose to take our order to go last minute due to the lack of cleanliness. Chipotle offers a unique flavor and higher quality of ingredients, which is the reason I choose to dine here. However, I simply will not eat at this location moving forward. I don't trust the sanitation efforts and the food grade. After reading reviews of the Prescott Valley location, I am not sure it's even worth a drive across town because it seems there are the same complaints and issues at that location. It's pretty weird and frankly sad. Is this a problem across the board? Or is it due to lack of good help? We have spent approximately $160 in the last 3 months after checking our bank statements, and none of the food has been up to the standards we are used to. I've been eating Chipotle for 22 years. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Melissa M — Google review
I love Chipotle, and usually go about once a month. For the last three or four times, since around May, the most outstanding feature of my experience has been the rudeness of the employees. The expressions on their faces range from bored and apathetic to irritated and angry. They are not welcoming, not helpful, and even rude to each other. Last time, when I asked "What is the new thing, sour cream vinaigrette?", I was told by a smirking employee that "it's just sour cream and salad dressing and you mix it yourself". Okay! I am going to drive out to Prescott Valley the next time I feel a Chipotle crave.
Julie O — Google review
This is the last time I go to this Chipotle. Every time I come here the container is so soggy it falls out of the bag. I have no time to eat my lunch now during my break because I have to clean up the mess this made in the office. Bag ripped on me when I opened the door, I could barely pick up the bowl because it was so soggy and then it dripped all over the office. I should've learned the last time but I figured I'd try it. Well this is the last time. The music is too loud in there and the service is slow because they always have 1 person running food when the line is our the door during lunch time. The staff is hard working and kind which is the only perk here it seems.

Jack in the Box is a popular fast-food chain known for its menu filled with burgers, chicken, tacos, and breakfast items. It's a favorite stop for many travelers seeking a quick and satisfying meal on the go. While some experiences may include issues like undercooked chicken, the staff is generally accommodating and willing to replace any unsatisfactory items with delicious alternatives. Overall, it's recommended as a convenient dining option offering fresh and tasty food choices such as fish sandwiches and fries.
I love Jack in the Box. Good food and affordable. Workers keep it clean and friendly. The Leaders deserve recognition. Everyone there does. Jack in the Box Monster Churros are the best!

The only thing I'm reviewing here, are the milkshakes. I hate fastfood milkshakes and usually avoid them, but...if I have a hankering for a shake, I'll stop and grab one from Jack in the Box. The only reason I didn't give their shakes 5 stars was because it didn't look like they had cleaned their machine for a few weeks, but the shake was still delicious

Haven't gone in years. Went the other day and the jumbo jack is no longer jumbo. Looked almost half the size and the bun was different also. Taste was not very good at all. Someone bought me lunch. Happy I didn't pay for it. Not worth it at all. Service was good.

Courthouse Plaza, established in 1864, is a historic meeting spot located in the heart of downtown Prescott, Arizona. Surrounded by well-preserved buildings and lush greenery, this lively plaza serves as a focal point for local celebrations and festivals. The iconic Yavapai County Courthouse stands at its center, providing a picturesque backdrop for visitors to enjoy while strolling along brick-lined pathways and admiring public art installations. Listed on the U.S.
Great place to take in some old town Prescott history but mainly shopping, restaurants, and saloons. Parking is adequate. Easy to walk, everything is well maintained and clean, and you feel safe here.

The Courthouse Square in Downtown Prescott is a place where people walk around, sit on benches, walk their dogs, or enjoy one of the weekends where there are lots of vendors selling products and the community comes together. Lots of great stores down here, antique shops, and some great places to eat. The Courthouse Square, or Whiskey Row, use to have several bars downtown 100 years ago but a few are left. The trees are very thick & tall so there is lots of shade. People bring blankets to sit on the grass and enjoy a lunch sometimes. I lived and worked in the Phoenix heat for 30 years, so this was a COOL PLACE to come and breathe fresh air instead of the hot air of Phoenix. In retirement, I’m thankful to be here at 5,000 feet in Prescott and have a chance to walk the Square and talk to friendly people.

This is a small town square with restraunts, bars and specialty shops around a beautiful historical courthouse and park. Plenty of places to wander around for a couple of hours or more. Can be crowded during weekend events. It's a great place just to wander around and relax.
Cordell W — Google review
Such a beautiful and peaceful spot in the heart of Prescott! The courthouse itself is full of history, and the surrounding square is perfect for a relaxing stroll. Shady trees, benches, and charming shops nearby make it a great place to unwind and take in the pretty surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town!

I’ve heard it called the “gem of Yavapai County” It’s pretty charming. I take my sun here to play in the shade of the trees during the summer. It’s lovely during the holiday season too. The trees are festooned with colored lights. The Plaza hosts numerous events over the course of the year. Restaurants and bars surround. Definitely worth a walk around if you’re in Prescott.

The court house is beautiful, it holds that hometown America feel. The statues are amazing the grounds manicured I encountered both Prescott Police and YCSO deputies, they were friendly and professional! Unfortunately there was a crowd disparaging law enforcement, carrying signs with vulgarities and distracting the American flag. They swore and flipped people off who were not swearing or making obscene gestures to them. They were attendees of the No Kings Protest. Sort of ruined the feel.
R F — Google review
Well I hadn't been there in 30 years so it obviously changed. It's a very nice space with some nice monuments and lots of eateries around. You could easily spend a day here. It'd be nice if the bathrooms were open after 5:00. But such is life.

What a beautiful place,🏦 the weather is so nice🌞 and cool in Prescott in July, they have the memorial for the granite mountain HotShots crew that died in the fires, they have beautiful long green grass🍀🌿🌱 around the Hill Court House, my sister 🧑‍🤝‍🧑and I took our shoes 🩴off and walked barefoot 👣in the grass, we have not done that for years, they have an ice cream🍦 shop across the street and a lot of people🧘🏻 were sitting in the park eating ice cream🍨, and other people walking their dogs🐕‍🦺🚶🏻, people just sitting in the grass under the trees🌳 where it's nice and shaded, the atmosphere there is just hypnotizing, right before we left late afternoon there was a mother🧑🏻‍🍼 and two of her children 💑sitting in the park in the grass having ice cream 🍨🍦 and then the two little kids were rumbling around together in the grass, that was so cool to see the kids playing outdoors instead of being on their computer devices, and boy where they having a good time, my sister and I were just sitting there watching them and smiling 😁 and laughing,🤣 we did walk down whiskey row, walked around a lot of shops,, went and ate🌯 lunch. We will be back, you must go enjoy this beautiful place ❤️

Restaurant
The Palace Restaurant & Saloon, located on Whiskey Row, is a historic establishment dating back to 1877. Despite facing destruction during the 1900 fire, it was rebuilt and continues to operate as the oldest frontier saloon in Arizona. Once frequented by Wild West legends like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, today it offers steakhouse fare and dinner theater in an atmospheric setting adorned with period costumes.
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant/bar in Prescott. We stop there for a late lunch and the place was relatively busy. We had very good food and great service to boot. We tried their steak, burgers and a couple of appetizers. The shredded beef tacos were really good. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. But I guess the main draw to this location must be the fact it’s well over 100 years old. The restaurant. Specially the bar area has its old saloon charm and it is very inviting. I highly recommend a visit to this place next time you visit Prescott.
Mehrdad M — Google review
It's like an anchor establishment on whiskey row. The dining room has been beautifully restored, and houses a great deal of interesting memorabilia. There are numerous dining areas including a large outdoor space for live music, presumably. Our food came out quickly and hot! The Gila grilled chicken salad was generously covered with chicken, onion, tomato, croutons and cheese. Bunkhouse beans were loaded with bacon, cheese and pico. Our fish was perfectly cooked, crispy, flavorful, and non fishy, they're accompanied by fries which I wouldn't have minded subbing if any were available. The restrooms are clean and modern. We'll definitely go back when we're in the area.
Jeff B — Google review
It's a restaurant but it is almost a museum as well. I've been before but it's always a fun place to grab a bite. I went for the street tacos (fish and brisket) as I wasn't too hungry, but I did get the Palace Cooler and that was tasty. The fish tacos had a wonderful sauce and the brisket was very tasty (and generous amount of meat). He went for the Beast Campfire style, recommend by the waitress. There was nothing left so it was a hit.

We decided to go to the Palace restaurant/saloon because of the history and the stories. We were surprisingly disappointed. We ordered an expresso martini, burger and fries, and blackened shrimp over ceasar salad. The burger was ordered medium(it was well) and as basic as they come. No flavor at all. I received 4 whole shrimp on my salad for $19. Talk about inflation...I thought they left half my shrimp in the kitchen. I am very disappointed in this restaurant. The server was excellent. Food was not worth it. Our bill was $55. W tax, surcharge, and tip $70+. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a drink and a few pictures. Dont waste your money.

The Earp family would not stand for this. This is an injustice—we cry, bring back the corn chowder! I rode in all the way from the valley, desert sun at my back, with nothing but the dream of whiskey and corn chowder to wet my whistle. Oh, the humanity. The pain. The sorrow… But alas, only the whiskey remains to drown my grief. All jokes aside, I love and adore The Palace. If you ever find yourself in Prescott, it’s an absolute must!
Jennifer D — Google review
What fun! I went on a Saturday afternoon during an art show in town. I met one of the saloon characters who gave me a tour of the "old whorehouse"—his words, not mine! The history in this place is incredible. Wyatt Earp reportedly sat at that bar! I had a French dip sandwich and fries—both were tasty—and got talked into sampling a couple bourbons and whiskeys (not my thing, but the bartender was entertaining). The old-school charm, historical artifacts, and ghost stories made it a quirky and memorable experience. Don’t skip the bathroom tour—there’s supposedly a ghost in there. I didn’t see her, but who knows?

We were in Prescott, AZ and found ourselves on Whiskey Row in the town area of Prescott. An old saloon, Palace was once frequented by Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and others. Palace was named one of the 10 best historic bars in America. Walking inside, you pass through saloon doors into the saloon bar area. There is also a dining room beyond the saloon area. There are stairs leading up to an area where the brothel would have been. At the top of the steps was a "lady of the night" to greet you, lol. The food and service was great and the staff was knowledgeable about the history of the saloon. If you ever make it to Prescott, AZ the Palace would be a great stop to make.
Chad Z — Google review
The food was not that great. It was hit or miss depending on what you order. My wife's filet mignon was ordered medium well it was quite pink when it came back and the taste was not what you'd expect. Her Caesar salad and the beans that came with my Caballero Chicken were overly salted. The complimentary bread that came with the meal was hard. On the good side my chicken and wild rice was very tasty and delicious. We heard so much about the Pakace Saloon that we wanted to eat a good meal here. There are better options in town. Best to eat elsewhere and come to the Pakace for drinks and tour the place. Service from hostess and waitresses was excellent.

Restaurant
Bistro St. Michael is a restored 1901 bar and eatery located inside the historic Hotel St. Michael in Prescott. It offers classic American meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a vintage setting with turn-of-the-century charm. The bistro has a well-stocked bar featuring hand-selected wines, craft beers, and spirits. Situated adjacent to the courthouse in downtown Prescott, it provides prime people-watching opportunities from its attractive location.
I had a wonderful meal at Bistro St. Michael in Prescott and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food with a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant’s historic charm, paired with friendly and attentive service, made for a fantastic dining experience. The Biscuits and Gravy was cooked perfectly and packed with delicious flavors. The portions were just right. Beyond the food, the location is perfect—right in the heart of downtown Prescott, inside the historic St. Michael Hotel. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it’s a great spot to enjoy a relaxed meal while soaking in the charm of Whiskey Row. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Prescott!

We were delighted to learn the building the restaurant is located in was rebuilt in 1901 and the flooring and ceiling are all original material. The service was outstanding and the food delicious! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and I had the Ruben. It was really great to hear they smoke their pork and make the pastrami right there. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our waitress today. We had the tomato artichoke soup and brisket. Benedict that was delicious.. we wanted to eat some french fries and such but unfortunate. It’s another restaurant that only cooks in seed oils. Something is changing to make these places more healthier. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Food was pretty good. My wife really enjoyed her eggs. I had a chicken sandwich, which tasted good but the piece of chicken was very small and thin.

What a quant bistro in Prescott on Whiskey row! Easy parking, immediately sat for breakfast at 830 in the morning. Great menu for typical breakfast items, decently priced.
Amanda W — Google review
The food is delicious and everyone is very kind! So glad we stumbled in. Go get the chicken sandwich. I know that sounds like a strange suggestion but the jalapeno coleslaw on it is amazing. And it is crispy protection goodness!!
Angie C — Google review
The food is excellent here. The Whiskey Jam Burger is my favorite, but the chicken sandwich and the Ruben are excellent, too. The fries have a really nice coating on them that make them scrumptious. The service was excellent, in spite of them being very busy. We were well taken care of by our server. She was on top of drink refills and making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was a little noisy, but that's because they were very busy (a usual occurrence at this establishment), but you could still carry on a conversation with your party and be heard. I highly recommend Bistro St. Michael's.
Phyl G — Google review
This place was great and our server made it just that much nicer being so welcoming and attentive. The chicken Florentine was amazing as well as any of the 3 burgers ordered in my party. Location being right at downtown square you can't ask for better. Parking is the only challenge as will everything downtown. Definitely coming back.

Superstition Meadery, founded by Jeff and Jennifer Herbert, has gained global recognition for its exceptional meads. Located in downtown Prescott, their tasting room in the cellar of the Burmister Building offers a diverse selection of traditional mead, ciders, cyser, melomel, and pyment. The knowledgeable staff provides guidance on different flavor profiles and shares the passion behind each batch.
Our first time here! The ambiance was amazing. The food was so delicious! The best part was definitely the mead. We did the white flight, so amazing! Definitely recommend and will be back!
Emma F — Google review
Wow the starter flight is a fantastic sampling. Get the charcuterie board —no dairy yay!—the bread was heavenly and all the amazing adds were delicious and complimented the meads. Try this for a change of pace. Friendly service.

My mother, father, and I were traveling from Phoenix to Prescott for a long weekend. We couldn’t check into our Airbnb until 4 PM, so that’s how we found ourselves rolling up to this spot around 3 PM on a Friday. There was only one other small group when we walked downstairs (cause it’s underground 😜) and so we were able to sit down and give our order promptly. We heard about the $28 12 different mead flight and definitely couldn’t pass that up. With how expensive mead is, it’s a better deal doing the flight rather than anything else. Especially since I had never tried mead before. Now, I won’t go into specifics about each mead but I will say that I liked the sunshine meemosa a lot with jalapeño and I hate jalapeños! I also quite liked the Marion mead since it has all my favorite berries in it. I was a little upset that the peanut butter jelly one wasn’t as peanut butter and jelly as I was expecting. But I digress. It was still a fun time sampling all these different alcohols that are usually on the expensive side. My parents both enjoyed our time and the service was quick and friendly! There was a nice variety of meads to sample, even though wine isn’t really our thing.
Ellie Z — Google review
My favorite meadery. Come try a flight. The flavors are unique and fantastic. Took some bottles to go.

I always enjoy coming here when I come to visit family. The mead is YUMMY! Everyone here is super friendly and welcoming. Valerie was so welcoming once I walked in. Best service I have received!

Hidden gem in Prescott, AZ. Downstairs of retail store. Meade is an early liquor first made by Vikings. Fermented honey with fruit. Very sweet. Worth checking out. On first visit, get the 12 Meade flight to try several so you can determine what you like. Very relaxing atmosphere with great service. Board games are available if you want to play games while you sip your favorite Meade and hang out with friends. Lots of soft seating in quiet spot throughout the restaurant

Nothing to buy ..has a Dillards and a Penneys and I just read Penneys is leaving. !!! Not enough employees especially in intimate wear. We need help when bras are every size but no one will help us. You need a corsetiere to show how to put on or bring a second person to go out and get more different sizes. Bras are the hardest thing to buy and we need people who will help us instead of reclothing ourselves and back and forth with no.help.. bringing in more bras that may fit.

I shop at Trader Joe's occasionally. Parking is very tight and the lot is not the easiest to navigate. The potential for fender benders is high. It seems the designers of this property were trying to stuff ten pounds of stuff in a five pound bag.

Five Guys is a fast-food chain with made-to-order burgers, fries & hot dogs. They also offer free peanuts while you wait. The restaurant is quite spacious and was very clean when I visited. The burger I got was great, as were the Cajun fries that I tried. The staff were friendly and funny too, making for an enjoyable experience overall.
Food was incredible as usual, but I’m really leaving a review for Bryan. The young man who was preparing orders Sunday night, had an amazing attitude. Even though there was hardly a wait, he apologized for any wait anyway. Even though there was only two of us and the whole restaurant later at night, he kept up the same great attitude and Customer Service.

Overall a reliable great franchise Five Guys location, the burger was very juicy and flavorful with the nice crunch of the lettuce and tomato and jalapenos. French fries were also very crispy and tasty. The staff here were also very helpful and friendly. I would recommend!

4of us went to 5 guys in prescott on 1/31/25 at 2 pm. First my charge card was entered 3 times they said there were problems but I would only be charged once. We all ordered small cheeseburger and fry’s all four of us were very disappointed in what we got. Hamburger was not the same at all meat smaller and taste not so good. We love 5 guys and go every couple of months but will not be back. I did say something to girl behind counter asked her if they had changed she said no not that she knew of. Well the 4 of us did notice a big difference. I only ate part of mine and thru the rest away. So sad

Great burger joint. It’s quite spacious inside and was very clean when I was there. I got the little cheeseburger and the Cajun fries which were made fresh and tasted great. The pistachio muffin here was absolutely to die for, and the macaroons weren't bad either. The veggie sandwich was nice and fresh, and the view over the road was nice. Overall, it was a great little lunch spot. Food came out quickly, and the server was friendly. It was nice shopping downstairs at the store after lunch too.

Came here with my husband on Saturday and was initially excited it’s a nice looking spot. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. It felt more like a serve yourself setup, even though we paid full restaurant prices. There was little to no guidance or service, and you're expected to just "know how it works." My mimosa was warm and honestly just bad. I ordered a flatbread, but what I got was closer to a pizza tons of crust and way too much bacon. My husband’s sandwich wasn’t much better. On top of that, we had to walk up to the bar to get our own water in a plastic cup? If you’re okay paying restaurant prices for minimal service , this might be your place. But personally, I think the staff could use more training in customer service and ID’ing customers. It really makes or breaks the experience. I’m pretty young and wasn’t ID’d for my alcohol.
Jannette D — Google review
if you plan on eating here make sure to clear your day because that’s how long you’ll be waiting, we waited 50 min. and make sure to bring your own stove because your bacon will be raw. we waited nearly an hour for burnt pancakes and raw food and on top of that they ask for a tip and can’t even bring you silverware. but that’s not all! we ordered scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and they gave us a omelette with pepper jack?? ? waste of $50, come here if you have money to waste and wanna have your day ruined👍🏽👍🏽

The Margarita Flatbread was delicious. Very soft bread that tastes like it just came out of the oven, versus a normal firm and crunchy pizza crust. The Tangerine tea was a nice complement to the flatbread. The County Seat has a great view of the Courthouse Square here in downtown Prescott. Between the cashiers & waitresses I’ve met here, they are always friendly and helpful with the menu.

Just watch tik tok and you'll see that The County Seat is one of the most popular spots for breakfast or lunch in Prescott. It's hot open space, bright lighting, and good food of the heart of town. It's on the second floor above Spice Traveler. Enjoy some shopping and then head upstairs, or elevator, to enjoy a bite and a cocktail at The County Seat. They've got sandwiches, salads, and breakfast options. Afterwards, head down to the basement for a Mead tasting at Superstition Meadery

Thank you so much Josh & Gracie for a fantastic dinner and experience tonight. My husband and I were on a budget but desperately needed a date night. Matt's Saloon is a classic dive bar that embodies the essence of Whiskey Row. With its dimly lit, flag-adorned interior and cow skull above the entrance, it offers a hideaway for those seeking an authentic Wild West experience. Established in 1960, this iconic bar and restaurant near The Palace has a rich history and is known for attracting both locals and visitors.
My all-time favorite bar! Beyond the exceptional service and live music every Friday and Saturday night, Matt’s Saloon shines with its ability to bring great people together for a great time. Matt’s stays true to our roots here in Prescott while also welcoming everyone as our town continues to grow. From sponsoring many events including the Prescott Rodeo and NYE Boot Drop, Matt and his team are always dedicated to serving our community. I was familiar with the band they had on, Chauncey Jones was fantastic as always when he performs. Sadly, the dancing here is atrocious compared to bars in Tucson and Phoenix. Absolutely no floor etiquette from other patrons along with a lack of space to begin. If you want good music and a fun environment its alright, but that's it.

The center also boasts several cherished establishments such as Zeke's for breakfast, el gordo for delicious burritos, and the Frontier Village Picture Show for enjoyable movies in plush recliners.
Frontier Village Shopping Mall is a hidden gem with something for everyone. From great restaurants offering diverse cuisines to a variety of shopping stores for all your needs, this mall is a one-stop destination. Whether you're tackling a home improvement project or just browsing, you'll find what you're looking for. Need a workout? Planet Fitness has you covered. Joe's is perfect for a quick haircut, and if you’re craving fast food, there are plenty of options to satisfy your hunger. Cap off your visit with a movie at Pictureshow—Frontier Village truly has it all!

Love the idea and places. I was a little intimidated because even if you bought the place you only have a lot of so many blackout dates and you have to pay them $700 a month to do all the advertising and rental places that you actually owned or on your way to owning Little over priced. They take care of everything. Pool sucks. They need better amenities.

Discover the Prescott Gateway Mall, a refreshing retail haven amidst scorching summer temperatures. Explore an extensive array of renowned stores like Trader Joes, Barnes & Noble, and Sears within this expansive destination, offering a diverse selection of products at affordable prices. Embrace the opportunity to immerse yourself in a dynamic shopping escapade and enhance your Prescott visit with the Gateway Mall's personalized and unique retail experience.
Regarding the Dillards store, their prices are high but the quality of products for the most part, are worth the prices charged. I came there to purchase a dress shirt. Dillards gold brand shirts were a winner for me. It's a testimony to their commitment to quality products. We were also pleasantly surprised this is a dog friendly store!

This mall used to be thriving, I'm not sure what it's going to take to bring it back. It's a shame to see so many wasted space and closed businesses. Would love to see it vibrant and thriving again! Go support the mall and see that there are some cool businesses starting to appear in there like the espire sports and others.

It’s quite an interesting mix at this mall! On the bright side, there's plenty of parking, and the mall is well-maintained. However, I’ve noticed it doesn't allow dogs, which is a bit disappointing. Also there are few stores and many empty spaces. It’s interesting that some of the more upscale malls in Phoenix, like Scottsdale Fashion Square and the Biltmore, welcome our furry friends, creating a fun environment for shopping and walking together. The added pet friendly atmosphere would make the Pine Ridge Marketplace much more appealing in my eyes. At present, I enjoy visiting the boutiques that do allow pets. Thankfully, there are many great options available!

Nice place but no one is ever there and kinda empty shops wise. Not many places to eat but what is there is good. I wish all the shops were open at the same time. I would think all mall stores would be open 7 days a week from the mall opened till it closed.

We were at Spencer's gifts on our visit to Pine Ridge Marketplace. Always a fun store to visit. They have gifts for almost everyone. Gag gifts, body jewelry, lingerie, joke coffee mugs, adult games and other adult items, posters, and more. A very fun store!

We just moved to town and hit the mall - this place is amazing! It is clean, spacious and beautiful! We came to visit the Granite Mountain Hotshots museum; what a touching tribute, you can feel the love and support all around you for that team!! Tissues were supplied and needed, as we read the bio of each lost member, and comments from friends and family. We will visit the museum again soon. It breaks my heart that there are not more stores open in the mall or more people here on a Sunday but I don't know what summer here is like. There are three options open in the spacious food court currently, and the Thai spot serves heaping plates of good food! Our family will definitely be back!

I feel their breakfast meals are worth having breakfast there. Best to have a reservation. Their cookies sold at the counter are the bomb. However, theur cream pies are not that great; only appealing to the eyes. Don't care for their lunch or dinner entrees. Just have breakfast then tour the town.

Bucky's Casino is a gambling destination located in the heart of Prescott, offering visitors a variety of slot machines and table games to play. The entertainment complex also features two dining options for those looking to grab a bite to eat between games. Although the atmosphere is decent and the casino is kept clean, staff members are not particularly friendly and players do not appear to be having much fun.
Had a blast playing here while we stayed at the resort next door. Games were great, the food in the bar lounge was wonderful, and the best part… Bob the bartender! He was fantastic. Attentive, funny, and makes a damn good drink. Thank you Bob!

Had the smokey burger. Ordered medium, got medium rare. Which is ok, cause most places undercook and hit the tempreture I prefer. Burger however was tasteless. Fries or the potato wedges were bland. And my Cola was watered down. I don't drink alcohol, maybe I should for here.

Don't play the fireworks slot machines. It was so disappointing and greedy. I love playing slots, I don't have to win, it's just fun when the game plays - give and take. This game in particular though, was just guzzling $20's without any payout even though the fireworks were all lit. We stayed the night here, as we rode a motorcycle to Jerome to eat & it was too late and too cold to drive all the way home. The room was $177 per night and ended up totaling $200. The bed was not comfortable sadly. We also ate breakfast in the cafe. This is where the 3 stars were gained. Even though it took about 20 minutes to get service, the food was satisfying and our waiter was so kind and pleasant. The eggs Benedict was cooked deliciously and our whole food order was served well.

OK, if you look at my reviews you see I'm a for real person. I like spending time in a casino. Mostly poker though. I'm visiting Prescott so came in for a drink. This place was so fun, there were jackpots getting hit all over, a guy hit a mega for 3500, a lot of subs over $300. Not something I see often and had to pay a review. I know it's not normal. Even I won $5.

El Gato Azul is a charming creekside cafe located just a few blocks from Historic Courthouse Square in Prescott. This bistro has gained popularity for its diverse menu featuring Spanish specialties and world cuisine. With a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, the restaurant offers an outdoor patio, live entertainment, and a full bar with an extensive selection of wines and beers.
I wasn’t drinking but appeared to to have a large selection. The food was amazing. I always enjoy a great tapas bar and my mother said it was the best food she’s had in years. I never remember to take photos till im eating so here’s what I got! Edit: second time was just as good!

We came in for the first time; never tried tapas before. Cute little place! Food was different but good. Wasn't a fan of so much spinach on every dish though.

We had such an amazing time at the restaurant! We didn't know Sundays were live jazz nights, so that was a welcomed surprise. My husband & I ordered several dishes off of the tapas menu, and each one was fantastic (polenta with honey, chorizo hash, pozole, and pork belly tacos). The "tequila libre" mocktail was delicious, too. Our waitress was so fun to talk with, and she was very attentive. The place is a great spot for awesome food & entertainment. Since it's not huge, it's strongly recommended that you make a reservation in advance. It can get pretty crowded because it's apparently very popular (and rightfully so!)

I can't say enough good about this place. The food was so so good... The service was exceptional... And the whole vibe is just Prescott. We went there for our 49th wedding anniversary and we're a little tentative because it is a little, off the main path place... But what a reward for trusting the reviews. It was everything people said and more. The price was MORE THAN FAIR for portion size. Every bite was incredible. Pork belly tacos #1 Cheesy Polenta#2 Blue Tacos #3 Green chili pork wontons #4 Chips and salsa #5 Pulled pork Breshetta #6 And the creme brulee was yummy (But they were all incredible)

El Gato has been a staple here for a while! We have always enjoyed their food, atmosphere, employees. Today was no exception! Warm greeting, quick seating(I will say we went at 1pm for a quick date so don't come at me if tou wait! But worth it) our waitress Sedona was such a gem had rare quality service and was so sweet! The food speaks for itself! Black and Bleu tacos and Goat cheese with fig and pita both were chefs kiss! The desert rose was a delish drink, well balanced and flavorful! Always a great place to enjoy your people and theirs!

What a cute little restaurant! I recently tried the blackened salmon salad and ordered the dressing on the side. The salmon was perfectly seasoned, though I do wish the portion was a bit bigger – my piece was only about 2 oz. If you're looking for more protein, I’d recommend adding a side or extra protein to your meal. The restaurant was really generous with the corn and pickled onions, which added great flavor and texture to the dish. My friends had the tacos and taquitos, and they were really happy with them. Just a heads-up: the taquitos come with mayo, so if you're not a fan, be sure to ask for it on the side. The service was amazing, and the ambiance was so quaint and welcoming – perfect for families! Overall, a great dining experience, and I’ll definitely be back.

Tapas are BIG! We ordered 4 plates each, thinking they would be one or two bites, but they were almost the size of a full plate, so we took home many, many leftovers and had a great time tasting everything!

Had a really really good beef and garlic tapas, it was only $8! Best sangria I've had in awhile too. We were out on the patio and it was just the right vibe. Attentive service the day before Mother's Day when it was rather crowded.

Liquor store
American restaurant
Park Plaza Liquor and Deli is not your typical liquor store. It offers a variety of delicious food options, including wood-fired pizzas with unique toppings like spinach, arugula, and roasted garlic. The deli also serves classic sandwiches and fresh garden salads from its full-service kitchen. You can enjoy your meal on one of the two dog-friendly patios or indoors before picking up your favorite beverage from the liquor store.
Im in town visiting my cousin. We had heard this was THE place to go for lunch, so of course we had to check it out. The menu even has an option for your dog, chicken and rice. I had the Ruben and a sour from the fridge, which was so good! The Ruben was delicious. I took half home so I got to enjoy it twice. My cousin had the truffle mac and cheese, which she said was 'better than delicious'. And the spicy bbq chicken pizza, was amazing. The service was wonderful and we definitely will be back.

Park Plaza Liquor is an amazing and expansive place, offering a robust selection of wine, beer, and spirits, along with a cigar shop, bar, and restaurant all under one roof. The vibe here is really cool, and it’s a great place to hang out, but unfortunately, the food does not quite match the quality of the rest of the establishment. The menu can best be described as slightly refined bar food. One dish we ordered was the Southwest Steak Salad, which was disappointing. It looked nice when it arrived at the table, but once we dug in, it was 90% cabbage—and not even the best parts of it. The steak was tough to chew, full of gristle, and overall, the dish was completely devoid of flavor. I wouldn’t order it again. We also tried the Spicy Katsu Chicken. While the flavor and heat were nice, there was far too much bun and not enough chicken, leaving the dish pretty boring overall. The truffle park fries were another letdown—they were steak-cut and soggy, not crispy like I’d expect from truffle fries. We did manage to catch happy hour before 6 PM, so the half-price beer and wine were a nice surprise. Our server was lovely and very accommodating. In the end, I really enjoy the market aspect of this place, but the food was a big letdown. I expected a bit more refinement in the menu. If I return, I might give the pizza a try since it looked promising. For two people, we paid $70, which felt a bit high given the quality of the food.

My friends and I had a nice lunch at the Deli. I asked several people before we went there if they had been there, and if they enjoyed it. EVERYONE said that we should go there and that the food is great. I had the small Cobb salad, take a look at this...Yum!!

Park Plaza deli in Prescott is the absolute best food, service and atmosphere. Never judged for wearing our Trump or conservative attire. Always been treated with respect and like family since we started going there 10 years ago. All the staff is friendly and helpful. We love our Park plaza deli. Can also smoke cigars in their patio. They sell, beer, wine and hard alcohol and have a beautiful cigar humidor with many choices of cigars to purchase. Keep up the great work.

I’ve been coming to Park Plaza Liquor & Deli since it first opened in 2007, and it has remained my absolute favorite spot in all of Prescott. It’s my go-to place to bring friends from out of town, and I even loved it so much that we held our wedding reception here! The selection of alcohol and cigars is unmatched, and the tastings, pairings, and new food truck are absolutely phenomenal. It’s been wonderful to watch one of my favorite local gems continue to thrive. If you haven’t been yet—go! You won’t be disappointed.

We discovered this restaurant on a trip up to Prescott for the weekend. It's a restaurant combined with a liquor store. We had dinner on our first night and returned for lunch the next day. We enjoyed all the menu items we tried. The French dip was delicious. The bread did not get soggy when dipped and the au jus had a surprising little kick that I enjoyed. My husband ordered the burger. It was a standard smash style burger with great tasting patties and fresh tasting fixings. The fries and onion rings were perfectly fried. For lunch the next day we had the Mac n cheese and a BYO wood fired pizza. The Mac n cheese was outstanding! While we would recommend all the menu items we tried, we highly recommend this. It was served in a cute cast iron pan and had a crispy little crust on top of all the oozy, rich pasta and cheese. The only other Mac n cheese we have had that we have liked this much was from Beecher's in Pike's Market in Seattle, WA. The pizza was solid too. It tasted more like a New York style pizza but wood fired. They also have great prices on their liquor. My husband purchased a bottle of George Remus single barrel Bourbon for $30. We will definitely return on our next visit to Prescott and we look forward to trying more of the menu items.

Einstein Bros. Bagels is a fast-food chain that offers a range of egg sandwiches, soups, salads, baked goods, and various types of bagels. The customer service provided at this establishment is exceptional, with helpful and accommodating staff members. While the bagels themselves are delicious, there have been some issues with the topping on their Avocado toast bagel, which has been described as tough and containing large discolored pieces.
My order is very simple, I always get an untoasted, uncut, cinnamon sugar bagel and I eat it like a donut. This location was perfect for that! The bagel had an exceptional amount of sugar & cinnamon and the bagel was very fluffy. My sister got Carmel cream cold brew which she said was very good.

Once again the drive-thru strikes again. Seems they can't put someone on the drive-thru that actually enjoys talking to people or taking orders and communicating. I don't know why they seem to continue to hire people who don't want to work here. Find people who are polite and actually know how to communicate with a smile would do your business wonders. You're in a small community. Why don't your employees act like it? Years of this crap! Over it.
Justin F — Google review
My mother and I came here for lunch at 1:30 (they close at 2.) And the employees looked so annoyed that we were there but were so welcoming to everyone else who came after us. We got the country gravy sandwich and the maple house and they came out looking the same. We sat at our table and they were somewhat clean but the floor by the drink machine was very filthy with liquid spills on the ground with no wet floor signs. My mother's sandwich didn't get the maple syrup she wanted (and that comes ON it) and the sandwich I got was fine. Would come here again but hopefully with the employees in a better mood and more friendly.
Caylin M — Google review
This establishment consistently delivers accurate orders, removing the need for customers to check their bags meticulously before leaving. The efficiency of both the cashiers and the kitchen staff is remarkable and unwavering, regardless of the time of day. For a quick and satisfying breakfast, the toasted jalapeño pepper with a generous schmear of cream cheese is my highly recommended personal favorite. While the service is undeniably efficient, a potential area for improvement could be the addition of a more consistently friendly and welcoming demeanor from the staff, as a smile can significantly enhance the overall customer experience. I can't rate the atmosphere as I'm usually going through the drive-thru.
DB H — Google review
Three times now they’ve given me the wrong order, today was a completely different order, and several times in the past they gave me partial wrong orders. I had to file a charge back with my bank because I wasn’t able to come in for a refund. Double check your orders if you go through the drive through! When I give my order, it’s not complicated and I speak clearly and slowly, and they still repeat back something inaccurate almost every time. If there was anywhere in town to get bagels I likely wouldn’t go here anymore.

Steak house
Texas Roadhouse is a steakhouse restaurant with Southern and Western flavors. The restaurant is decorated with Texas-themed paraphernalia, making it a great place to visit for fans of the Lone Star State. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious.
Texas roadhouse is a lively and noisy restaurant, but we know that before going. All the ones we've been to the food has been consistently great and this one was no different. Service can be a bit hit and miss at times, but our server here was excellent. Checked on us many times, and made sure everything was great. I do love the fact that the managers visit every table just to make sure all the patrons are satisfied. Definitely.Would be back again when you're back in this area.

Came to this place for lunch. Friendly staff from when we walked in. Great service. Had to wait a lil bit for the waiter to take our order or even greet us at the table. Order steak shrimp and a chicken fried steak. The food was good. I asked for medium rare and surprisingly the cook did a good job on my steak! Then after the we didn’t see our waiter again until the end and another guy basically took over our waiter spot. Friendly guy with glasses! Good job to him.

Steak was a little too rare for me- I did order medium rare but in the past at other locations it has been fine. They cooked it up more and was good. VERY casual (at least my waiter) I was surprised when the waiter actually full on sat down at my booth ( literally as if he was going to have a meal with me)and took my order on a pile of napkins. When the manager stopped by to "table check" I asked her if that was normal - her response" ya, if they feel comfortable enough". What?? I eat at TR ALL the time in Phoenix and surrounding area and never has happened. Personally as a business owner not acceptable and unprofessional.

Had an amazing experience today at lunch. Also very scary. Our server Tori was amazing. She took really great care of my mom and I, checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed! The food as always was great too! But today they went above and beyond. While we were eating my 80 year old mother started choking. Our server Tori noticed immediately and came over. First a few hard pats on the back and we realized that wasn’t working Tori performed the Heimlich on my mother and was able to dislodge the food! Thanks to Tori my mom is doing great with no issues. The manager also came over and was checking on us too! In the end it was 5 star service in every way. Big thanks and hug to Tori! Texas Roadhouse you have a great one in Tori!! 💕

Big empty space with no customer service. I ordered at the kiosk (no other choice) and went to pay cash at the counter. Stood there for 15 minutes. There were no other customers inside except for a group of four sitting at a table and a Door Dasher who gave up and left. That sign on the wall should say "We Don't Care".

The people are nice but the new McD design does not want you to order or eat in person. I saw a person leave because no one would take her order. Refills they have to throw your cup away and give you a new one. The employees I did see were doing the best they can

They want to force you to use the key osk. The one single register is always unmanned, so you will wait a long time for help. McDonald's has cut back on everything. Especially customer service. Last time I was there. 8 people were standing around waiting for food. Expect 15 to 30 minute weight for a Burger and fries. The drive through has priority now, so go that route and you might get your food in 10 minutes.

Horrible service. To Go order, arrived and noticed they didn’t give me my 20pc nuggets. At least they charged me the full $42 for a few sandwiches and fried but no nuggets. Should have been a red flag when I saw the lady in front of me complaining about her order being wrong.

Had breakfast and used the restrooms while there. The bathrooms were nice and tidy. This store is basically a digital counter so there isn't always a cashier on a register. The location makes it easy to make a left onto the 69 because of the stop light right near.

Oscar is an employee and is Rude and Ignorant. When a customer want to place an order at the counter. Oscars aggressively instructs me to use the kiosk. I said not thanks . He say here I'll do for you at the kiosk. I said again no thanks I would like to place it at the counter. He walked off the floor floor and completely ignored my request. The new young man at 3:30 yesterday thanks so much for all your help. OSCAR you a horrible young man and McDonald's should fire you for your disrespectful and aggressive behavior to others who are comfortable with pay kiosks. As I just had my CC info stolen from one in town in July. Shame on your managers for allowing you to bully customers.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Watson Lake Park. Not quite as popular as Watson Lake, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Park
The park Watson Lake offers visitors a wide range of activities, such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. It is also a great place for disc golf. The park is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and is surrounded by boulders and hills.
Highly recommend this place! We went for a quick Sunday trip and wish we would have had more time and energy for the full loop hike around the dam. The hike was fun, varied scenery, lots of rocks to climb, well marked and moderate in intensity. Definitely bring water and I’d recommend an early morning or late afternoon trip as it can get hot! There were kayak rentals, a big open field, picnic tables and a playground. The playground wasn’t shaded enough so didn’t appeal to us, though otherwise great place! Entry fee is $3, but worth it!

Watson Lake in Prescott is a hidden gem. The Granite Dells create an amazing backdrop for kayaking and hiking. The trails offer a mix of easy walks, and more difficult hikes, so it’s perfect for all skill levels. It’s a peaceful spot to picnic, fish, or just look at the views. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Brandon — Google review
We actually went out to hike the five mile five Watson Lake Loop. We parked in a parking lot just off the highway near the bird sanctuary area, so we had no fee. We started our hike walking towards the dam and granite dells. We passed through the park where there was, a boat ramp, toilets, kayak rental place, picnic tables, and an old Frisbee golf course. This was an easy part of the trail, From there, we started to head up and over the granite boulders going in a clockwise direction. We wanted to get the harder parts out of the way first. It was a beautiful hike. We are 61 and 67, regular hikers, and found some of the areas a little challenging. There was a bit of scrambling and rock hopping. Be prepared with good hiking shoes and maybe hiking poles. Some areas are quite steep. It is absolutely beautiful. We actually got lost in the beauty and added an extra mile to the hike. It is well marked for the most part, but it is easy to go off trail. The last section around the marsh was flat and easy. We were sure glad we'd picked to do the hard part first. Go prepared and take plenty water. We packed a picnic, to stop and enjoy along the way. It was certainly worth the effort.

What a beautiful little Park up out of Prescott. There were some camping sites there that weren't great but would be okay... But the rest of the park and the kayaking is out of this world.
Ken S — Google review
Amazing rock formations along this lake. The park that leads the way to the lake is green and well kempt. Pleanty of trails to follow to get some amazing views.

It’s a very beautiful place the whole family can enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking and biking all for $3 oh and you can camp also
Paul P — Google review
The lake is always beautiful, never too many people unless its being used for a public event, otherwise its very relaxing, The camp offers a beautiful lush field which is rare for AZ and while the lake isnt clean enough to swim in, the diversity of birds and other wildlife make it the perfect place to spend a cooler afternoon
Randi H — Google review
This is a great place to spend the day with friends and family. You've got a beautiful wake with multiple hiking trails available. There's plenty of parking. The bathrooms were clean. There's no vending machines around, so make sure you pack a lunch and bring plenty of water.

Bodies of Water
Watson Lake, located just 4 miles from Prescott, Arizona, is a rugged reservoir known for its large rock formations called Granite Dells. The lake offers a variety of outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing and camping. Its dark blue waters contrast beautifully with the surrounding boulders and cliffs.
Great place for picnicking, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. I especially love climbing out on the rocks above the disc golf course (do it at your own risk) with the most spectacular panoramic views of the lake and the raw, rugged landscape surrounding it - at the right time of day, this could possibly be the most peaceful place on earth.

Watson Lake is absolutely stunning and a must-visit in Prescott! The unique granite boulders surrounding the lake make for some of the most picturesque views you’ll find anywhere. It’s a great spot for hiking, kayaking, fishing, or just enjoying a peaceful picnic by the water. The trails around the lake are beautiful and offer plenty of photo opportunities. Easy to spend a whole afternoon here soaking in the scenery. A true gem in Prescott and perfect for nature lovers!

One of the most beautiful lakes I've ever visited. Tucked away just outside of Prescott Arizona it is definitely a hidden jewel. The layers of rocks surrounding the lake are absolutely gorgeous. It's almost like going back in time. The photo opportunities are many. The water reflections of the hillside's, rocks, and beautiful blue sky and clouds make for phenomenal photos. We live in San Diego but we make it a point whenever visiting Arizona or Phoenix, we make the drive up to Prescott
Fred L — Google review
I almost don't want to post anything about it because I want it to remain the treasure that it is. This is a beautiful place to kayak, plus there's trails all over the place, really cool ones through riparian areas.
Jennifer — Google review
Went kayaking for an hour. The first time slot at 8 am I believe is the best time to go. The birds are out and you can see cows on the mountain. We saw an Eagle. Beautiful boulder of rocks and fish. Wasn't hot and a good little work out on your arms and core. Good price for the hour. You can tandem or solo.
Erica M — Google review
Beautiful place to spend some time relaxing. You can rent a kayak and go kayaking in the lake just no swimming. View from up top was beautiful and the place was not that crowded. Best time to visit the lake is early morning or later in the evening. There is an entry fee for day time entry and for overnight camping. There is a designated area for the camping and recreational activities. Plenty of parking so no issue there. Hike around the lake is easy to moderate (depending on the hikers capacity) but a perfectly tracked way with easy walk. So, Enjoy !!!
Dinesh — Google review
The water I. The lake is filthy but the natural view of the lake is amazing. Never been to a lake surrounded by rocks. The recreational area is also very nice and comfortable. Such a good place to enjoy hiking in a beautiful day!

Great Lake and Park outside of Prescott, AZ. Great trails that run the perimeter of the lake. Great views on the trail. Peaceful no wake lake. Perfect spot to kayak. The surrounding park has picnic areas, playgrounds and open fields to play. Clean bathrooms. A well maintained park. $3 for day visit.

Dog park
Willow Creek Beneful Dream Dog Park is a fantastic place for dog owners to have fun and train their furry friends. The park offers large, grassy fenced areas for dogs to run and play, with separate sections for big and small pups. There's also a covered area with seating for when you need shelter. Visitors praise the friendly atmosphere and well-mannered dogs at the park, making it an enjoyable experience for both humans and their four-legged companions.
Awesome dog park. Very clean, lots of space to play and various things for dogs to play in. Love there’s 2 sides; 1 for small dogs and 1 for large dogs. Chairs and shade for dog parents.
Carol B — Google review
The park is my absolute favorite. The people are friendly, dogs love to have fun and it’s clean, open and lots of water. What’s cool about it is that folks bring their dogs and sit to chat with eachother. My dog jumped on a couple of people and they were so nice not to scold him, despite he needing it! Lots of balls everywhere and very welcoming park!
Imelda B — Google review
Best dog park I've ever been to = Dog Utopia!! My 2 dogs had so many friends to play with even in the heat. My favorite was the little pool next to the hose and the dogs adored it! Will definitely visit again!
Jessica F — Google review
My small dog was able to fetch for 20 straight minutes on the small dog side without big dogs stealing her ball because the big dogs were all on the big dog side. Yay!! 🎉🥳 This dog park is luxurious!
Rhonda R — Google review
Visited from Phoenix to beat the heat and this was perfect for our active canine. There was a kiddie pool to stay cool, plenty of water for drinking too. Poop bags available and lots of space and shade to run and cool off. Plenty of places to sit in the shade while the dogs play too.
Emily F — Google review
First time, and my little Jack russel/Chihuahua was in HEAVEN! dogs all friendly. Within 15 min of us being there, she was off leash like the others, and chasing balls🌸will definitely be making the park a weekly hike up to Prescott... Maybe more
Stacey M — Google review
Love the park & the people! Very clean. Well kept. Closed on Monday's for maintenance until 11pm.

Great place for Doggy fun and training. We got our dog from a rescue about 8 months ago. She still has major trust and anxiety issues with men and other dogs. She's also a Pitbull mix. So we won't bring her in the park until she's thoroughly trained and properly socialized. My Wife, has been working on her certification to become a dog trainer. So today she's working with Winnie on trust issues with us and other dogs. TRAVEL 😁 HAPPY

Farmers Markets
If you're on the hunt for fresh, locally sourced food, look no further than the Prescott Farmers Market. This vibrant market is dedicated to supporting local agriculture and fostering a healthy community by providing access to affordable, high-quality food. Open year-round with seasonal locations—winter at the YMCA Pendelton Center and summer at Yavapai College—the market buzzes with energy every Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
First visit here was overwhelming, and I want to thank the folks who run this and the vendors for participating in the SNAP program. I came with my new SNAP benefits card, not sure what to expect. The gal at the SNAP booth was friendly and helpful. For every $1 you spend at the market on SNAP-eligible items, the Market will match that $1 towards fresh produce. Most of the vendors are kind and seem to enjoy participating in this program; others will glare at you and your tokens. Fruits and veggies galore, ethically raised meats, baked goods and sweet treats... all local and all amazing. My favorite part was definitely the variety of plants for our home garden!
Robin O — Google review
Went the Farmers Market and stopped this iris farm Bloomer-Rang Iris Farm. It had beautiful iris that were pictures of them and the bloom that would happen. Lisa the owner was very nice and kindly explained how to plant and care for the Irises. Can't wait to go back and get more.

Lots of good stuff. They Beyond Dates lady not only was a personable, well instructed and considerate person, but her product was a superior example of what dates can be. If for no other reason, go so you can sample her amazing wares.
Frank L — Google review
Enjoyed my first visit to the Prescott Farmer’s Market. Some farmers markets have mostly prepared foods and not enough fresh produce. That was not the case here. I found plenty of produce along with baked goods (including vegan and gluten free) goat milk soap, dates, tamales, samosas, kombucha, grass fed beef, succulents and more. My falafel from Claudine’s Kitchen was fresh and tasty, the pickled turnips added a nice crunch. My daughter enjoyed her red pork tamales and my husband was a fan of the chorizo and egg burrito. I recommend a visit here to pick up some fresh veggies, eat lunch and experience the local culture. For kids there was a stall with a play kitchen and food. It was home base for crew of kids running around the market.

Above and Beyond! Vicki is so talented and kind, taking great care and spending time with me, helping to decide exactly how to showcase this very detailed, antique needlework (tablecloth?) my maternal grandmother made. It was in pristine condition, deserving to be seen instead of hidden away in a bin. We chose a copper/bronze frame, and black matting to both showcase the details and to make it 'timeless', as this one-of-a-kind family heirloom will go to my daughter one day. The piece is 4' square, photos don't do it justice! Many thanks to everyone at Framers Market, I am thrilled and will definitely be back.
Lisa K — Google review
Went near closing but loved the diversity of vendors. Everyone was very friendly. Burrito was cooked while I was there and was delicious. Credit cards accepted. Several fresh meat vendors, which I have rarely seen
Rick B — Google review
Great farmers market. Lots of local produce and meats. Many other homemade products to choose from and plenty of food vendors if you're hungry. But get there early as they sell out quick!

Cuppers Coffee House is a cozy and inviting spot located in a Victorian house, offering a wide variety of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. It's the perfect place to start your day with a cup of joe or to unwind with some hot chocolate after a long trip. The menu includes delicious breakfast options like pancakes with homemade syrup and brown sugar.
Cute place. Nice counter person. Prices about average. Sells some food and pastries as well as coffees and other beverages. Update: Came in again today when in town as my daughter really really liked her drink from the previous visit; she said she missed that coffee. We got some scones this time and they were very good, I am not usually a big scones fan but really liked them. They were making a quiche for someone as we were leaving and it smelled great.

This is the best little coffee shop I have ever been to! This past weekend I took up there and went both Saturday and Sunday. Breanna is the best. So welcoming and makes a delicious peanut butter mocha. Really great coffee and I think very affordable (cheaper than Starbucks or black rock plus tastes better). If you’re in town and you’re a coffee addict like myself you must stop by.
Kellee W — Google review
Cuppers is a locally owned coffee shop with a cool vibe and fast service. Contrary to what was advertised in their description, they are not housed in an old Victorian house. I think that might have been an old location. They are now located within a modern strip of buildings a few blocks from Prescott’s Historic Town Square. I enjoyed my coffee at Cuppers, however, the breakfast left much to be desired. The eggs and bacon were dry and seemed as if they had been heated up in the microwave. If you’re just looking for a place to get coffee… I would still recommend stopping by.
Keith P — Google review
Nice little place, comfy atmosphere. Sandwiches are a bit pricey at $10+, but very worth it because they've got plenty of filling, and multiple different toppings. For example, the ham melt sandwich wasn't just ham and cheese, it was at least two or three kinds and cheese and aoli. Very nice. The club sandwich tasted nice and fresh & firm, no soggy bread or tomatoes or bacon, everything was nice and crisp.

I tried thier pastasio latte. Totally awesome! Loved it. When I have more time I'll come back to check out the food. According to the other reviews I've seen it's pretty darn good. Travel Happy 😁

This is one of my favorite places to go in Prescott. Whether I need a chill atmosphere to do homework or I want to meet with a friend over coffee, I usually end up at Cuppers. Their skinny pancakes with brown sugar syrup are irresistible. The avocado crepe is also delicious. Coming from someone who made coffee for 2 years in a traditional Italian coffee shop, I can also vouch for their espresso drinks. Their americanos are great and their employees seem to be well trained in making coffee.

Spent some time here while we were waiting for our room at the Vendome (hotel next door). Loved it! Cuppers is a cute, vintage & peaceful little coffee shop. We drank hot chai lattes & played cards. Very enjoyable

Tried a lot of places this weekend and ended up back at this spot 3 times the whole trip . There was not nothing we got here that was bad . Last stop in for dinner place was packed we were willing to wait if need be but service was so fast are food and drinks came out faster then any spot I have ever ate at . Wings amazing Bacon blue burger hits the spot so delicious best sweet potato fries I ever had . Tried all Tequila mixed drinks they had recommended and all 3 delicious. 😋

My family and I came here on a Saturday evening around 6:00 and got a table easily, but it filled up around 7:30/8:00. Our server, Sonya (Sonia?) was the sweetest person ever! She took the time to talk to all of us about the town (we were first time visitors) and was very kind to my 4 year old. All of our drinks came out quickly and the chicken strips & fries were amazing. The live band was really cool to watch and they sounded great! Overall a very nice experience, we will definitely be back on our next visit. Thank you so much Sonya, you were wonderful!

Good burgers! They even have a pup burger when we went with my friend and her dog. The fries are amazing, and fresh salads too :) Good pub atmosphere with an outdoor courtyard seating area and heaters for when the knights get cool.

Any bar of mine knows how to make a proper Old Fashioned—and Whiskey River Bunkhouse delivered! They also mixed up a sour that was downright heart-stopping (in the best way). Great drinks, great atmosphere, and the Palomino Country Band kept the night alive with incredible music. Way to go, Whiskey River Bunkhouse & Palomino Country Band—what a combo!

Really loved this place! Haven’t been back to Prescott in a hot minute and sad that the Brewery I used to go to was gone. This Tavern had amazing tacos, I got the Hatch Pork tacos, not much of the green chile but still tasted amazing. My friend got the pork, beef, and chicken, he thought the pork was spicy so I’m gonna blame me being in New Mexico for the summer, because I thought it wasn’t spicy at all. The service was phenomenal as well, we only got waters but he was on top of it. Highly recommend coming here and grabbing a bite to eat. I want to come back just to try the burgers. Also highly recommend the fried pickles. But kudos to our waiter, I’m horrible with names, but he was super sweet.

Stopped here for quick beverages on a Sunday afternoon and when we walked in it seemed dark but was pleasantly surprised that there was a back patio with live entertainment. Loved the band, the vibe, and the food smelled good. Will order food next time.

Sammie’s Burger Joint in Prescott is a must! 🍔 Great food, local charm, and family-owned—what more could you ask for? We all enjoyed our meal, but the boys especially loved it after a long week of soccer camp. The perfect spot to relax, refuel, and enjoy some seriously good burgers. Thank you, Sammie’s, for the great experience—we’ll definitely be back!

Best burgers in town. I've been eating at Sammies a few times a month for over a year now and I'm never disappointed. Fresh, local beef. House made buns. Fries cooked in beef tallow. Simple yet brilliant execution. It's so awesome to see a family owned and run hole in the wall restaurant like this in Prescott. Keep up the good work guys!

Instantly became my favorite burger I’ve had in my entire life. I would rather have a great burger than a steak or lobster any day of the week! We had driven by this place on many occasions and always said hey we should try that place as it had come up on social media many times for the great tasting burgers. We came here Monday but like a lot of local restaurants they were closed so we came back on Wednesday morning and they were booming. We quickly found a spot along the side of the restaurant and popped out to order. It looks like most of it is setup to go but does have a small sit down area both on the outside and on the inside of the restaurant. I was going to get a regular cheeseburger but read what was in the MOAB and took a chance and I caught lightning in a bottle as this was the best burger I’ve ever had hands down as it had cheese, burger, grilled onions, pulled pork, special sauce all on an incredible bun! Will return later this week for more! The menu may be sparse but they do it all to perfection! Only thing I did by mistake is not order the MOAB fries too!!!! They are open a very short window for lunch only but definitely go here if you are nearby and love burgers as much as I do!
Nick P — Google review
One of the best-tasting burgers and fries I’ve ever had. The crisp on the smashburger was amazing. Sam and the family were super friendly. The Moab sauce is incredible, but the fries are so good you don’t even need a sauce. Will be telling our friends about this place!
Ryan B — Google review
In just want to thank Sammies for their excellent customer service. While visiting Prescott this week, my wife and I were intrigued by this burger joint. We passed through it since Monday and today we finally stopped to get a bite. I went with the Moab burger and my wife got the Pulled pork Sammie. To top it off, we also wanted to try the Moab fries and and the root beer float. The taste of the food was beyond amazing. The sauce that was used, the meat was so tender and flavorful. The pulled pork sandwich was quite exquisite along with the in house fries, everything was cooked to perfection. My hats off to this place, by far, one of the best burgers, fries, and pulled pork sandwich that I have tasted.

Mexican restaurant
Taco Don's is a well-established local institution in Prescott, known for its traditional Mexican dishes and consistent quality. It is part of the Vivili restaurant group, which aims to elevate Prescott's culinary scene by offering both exciting new concepts and maintaining beloved classics. The restaurant prides itself on its authentic Mexican flavors, including house-made salsa and specialties like grande nachos, potato tacos, amazing whole beans, and wonderful fry bread. Customers appreciate the friendly service from owner Francisco and his team.

I had the shredded beef burrito and the fried taco with shredded beef. It was good but dry. The portion are good size for the price. There are other Mexican restaurants locally that better tasting.

I just moved to the area and i'm originally from New Mexico, so when I saw a line around the corner at their drive up the other day, I had to go in and try a few things today! Very unpretentious casual setting but the food is recently prized and extremely tasty! I love that they have fry bread! And something new to me was their cheese crisp, but that was also very good and of course, being named Taco Don's, I had to try the taco, which was excellent. Good tasy HOT sauce too. I think my favorite part was the enchilada sauce on the cheese and onion enchilada, which tasted a lot like sauces I've eaten in NM, and that's NEVER a bad thing!

Love this place so much! Always a tradition to visit when we're in town. Amazing food & good turnaround time. Sometimes they're closed on a random day when Google says they're open (like my last trip there), but fortunately, I was able to go back the next day. My favorite is the ground beef wild burrito enchilada style, and my husband & kids love the breakfast burritos. I support that they're closed on Sundays to be with their families. We love Taco Don's!
Sarah W — Google review
For my money, Taco Don’s is the best drive through Mexican joint in Prescott, by far. The only downside is they aren’t open late. The chicken fajita burro is especially delicious.
James M — Google review
I went once before. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was very good. This time I ordered a beef taco/bean tostada combo. I was very disappointed. The taco shell was the ready made taco bell type. Both the tostada and taco shell were soggy when I was served. That and the flavorless meat made the meal below average for me. If I go again I'll stick with the breakfast burrito.

They are very reasonable in price and great portions!Everyone here is nice and defently show great customer service skills. The owner Francisco is a wonderful person. My go to place for authentic Mexican food. Fresh ingredients, friendly service. Try the Green chile beef burro or enchiladas. It's how Mexican food is suppose to taste. Even has a drive through.

I cannot express how absolutely fantastic our experience was at Papas Italian Restaurant in Prescott! You need to experience it for yourself. From the moment you walk in, until you walk out you feel like family. Every employee cares about you and your experience. Our waiter, Aaron was beyond fantastic. He welcomed us as if it was his restaurant. We will definitely be back. We live in Wickenburg, Arizona and Wickenburg is about 40 minutes from Prescott. It’s worth the drive!!!! Thank you so much!!! You are our go to place.

A proper American Italian restaurant right down to the crisp white table cloth and iconic decor. Same day reservation and nice high top for two in the corner of the bar. The food was delicious, generously proportioned, and prompt. The staff was attentive and welcoming. Overall, my new favorite Italian spot in Prescott hands down.

Service was fast and friendly, we were able to be seated and served before the kitchen closed. Delicious Italian food! We loved the garlic clams and the calzone was massive! We would definitely recommend this to someone looking for good authentic Italian food while in Prescott!

Fantastic! Rich home made tasting Italian cuisine with a great wine selection to pair with your entre. Great options beyond your typical pasta dishes. Quality food and reasonably priced for all you are getting. This place is popular so I recommend reserving.

Can't say enough about staff & food. Exceptional. The best minestrone soup in my life. Including Italy. This should always be a dinner stop. Come early or make reservations. Heading back up the hill just to eat there next week.

Aaron was our server and was absolutely fantastic and completely helpful. We were so happy to have such a great experience on our short trip to Prescott. The food was very delicious and the broth with the clams was the best ever!! While we waited in the entry area to be served, the hostess asked us what type of wine we usually enjoyed and she brought us a glass to start before we were seated. WOW!! We cannot praise Papa’s enough!

We went this evening for my wife’s Birthday, we made reservations. We had a mix up, but the staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. As we left the resturant we commented that was a wonderful experience!! We have dined at Papas 6 or so times over the last 2 years, never disappointed. I can not say how much we like the Service, Food and overall environment 😃❤️.

Such an adorable shopping plaza! Semi in/outdoors with multiple levels showcasing anything a lost tourist would want from food to clothing, to trinkets, coffee, wine, beer, puzzles, games, historical fixtures, candles, and so much more that Im probably leaving a few goodies out lol! Its a quiet and exciting experience where you can grab a locally made candle, fascinating art, or maybe just a latte. If you’re ever strolling through Prescott, take a moment and get lost in this lovely place for a little while. I promise it will lighten your spirit 🥰

Very cute, three story mall with all kinds of unique shops inside. Restaurant inside too and a elevator. It's definitely an added fun little stop for shopping around in downtown Prescott. We went on a Sunday around 11 when they opened and it was nice and slow paced with people walking around yet not too crowded, so you didn't feel pressured to look fast and move. It's definitely a nice stop to make on a laid back Sunday.

Bashford has a wide variety of shops and odds are good that you'll find some fun. Shopping here is a great way to support locally owned businesses. After wandering the three floors stop by Prescott Brewing for a pint and bite to eat.

Whiskey Row Alley in Prescott is a vibrant public space adorned with murals, sculptures, and installations that celebrate the city's rich history and culture. The alley has transformed into a lively area with historical shops, saloons, and unique eateries. Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of late 1800s style at The Palace Saloon while exploring the area's interesting shops and tourist attractions.
I enjoyed walking around this old town and appreciating the beauty of arts displayed without expectation! For instance, a man with a cowboy hat reading a book on stairway, with the jazz BGM, is a pleasant vibe!

Such a cool place to go. It was an added stop during out travels, and it was well worth it! I am going to have to go back and do it backwards so I can remember that half of it as well. Make sure you eat at the first Saloon when you go....
Mike V — Google review
Be very aware that some establishments here are cash only. While this is labeled on the entryway, this isn't something people normally stop to check for. So after they've poured your drink and you try to pay with your card they point to their private ATM which charges an additional fee which the establishment collects. I don't have a problem paying cash I just don't normally carry it and would have appreciated being told prior to the drinks being poured that it was cash only. I was clearly a tourist in the area and I'm sure this is something they routinely experience. I felt like this was just another upcharge because I was a tourist.
John G — Google review
I had a blast roaming the antique and consignment stores. I spent two afternoons doing that during our three day visit. However one afternoon included the craft fair that was going on in the center square. All the stores are clean and well maintained. Items are nicely displayed. For those of you that have dogs, some businesses have water bowls outside their front entrance for them.

History museum
Nestled in a charming stone building, the Museum of Indigenous People in Prescott, Arizona, is a treasure trove of Native American heritage. Formerly known as the Smoki Museum of American Indian Art and Culture until its renaming in 2020, this cultural gem showcases an impressive array of artifacts including pottery and baskets that tell the stories of Indigenous peoples. The museum's establishment was significantly influenced by passionate individuals like Kate Cory and Dr. Byron Cummings, who contributed invaluable art and archaeological finds.
This museum was very nice and quite informative. I learned several things during my visit. The tour is self guided as the museum is fairly small. I like the combination of the old and new indigenous items. The staff was very nice. I also like the self guided tour book I was given. It explained a lot about each exhibit. My favorite part was the outdoor garden with plants that were and are used by Indigenous peoples as medicines, dyes and making everyday items. I’ll definitely be back to visit.
Dysa P — Google review
Our visit to the Museum of Indigenous People in Prescott was informative and enjoyable! We went on a Saturday morning, and the two docents had so much knowledge to share and so much respect for the people this museum represents. I'm grateful Prescott is preserving this incredibly important and rapidly disappearing history. Stop in to see gorgeous, handmade artifacts; imagine the ways humans lived life many many years ago; and come ready to learn about the people who were here long before we were.
Kat S — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed this! A lot of history is explained here, with a great amount and variety of artifacts and displays. Went there with my wife and two teen sons, and we all enjoyed this. We learned a lot too. Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable too.

We really enjoyed our time at the museum of indigenous people. Tones of amazing original art and artifacts. The building is really beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be going back on our next visit.
Aaron C — Google review
Love this museum. It's small, but the displays are very informative and the building all the artifacts are displayed in is an artifact itself. The museum curator was pleasant and full of information. There was a collection of old used books that have to do with anything about the lives of the Indigenous people around Prescott. I bought an amazing book about all the different types of baskets that were made in the area by the Navajo, Hopi, and Apache, for $4. I was too happy. There's also lots of Indian handmade Jewelry, pottery, trinkets, and new books written and beautifully illustrated. ♥️♥️♥️
Charlotte T — Google review
Very informative and impressive, we had a great time! They also have a bunch of fun events.

On 5/6 in the early afternoon I visited Museum of Indigenous People for the first time. Right after entering the museum I was greeted by a very courteous and welcoming gentleman. I believe his name was Mike. His courtesy made a great impression on me. Mike gave me a brief, yet informative overview of the museum. Regarding the museum itself, wow!! An astounding collection of art, artifacts and information. I was enamored with everything that I feasted my eyes on. I visited the museum for 90 well-spent minutes. And I'd love to someday return to view the exhibits that I didn't get to see.
Reuben A — Google review
-Timeframe: We visited mid day on Saturday. There were only a handful of visitors in the museum. -Pricing: It cost $6 for 3 people, 2 of whom were free with Native American ID (CDIB) + $6 for a veteran discount. Kiddo could have also gotten in free for being under age 12. Ample free parking is available around the building. -The front desk was very friendly, extending invitations to show and explain exhibits -Meeting “n” Exceeding: The museum provides a relaxed hometown feel, with many regional donations and exhibits. Although there is a large volume of display items, the facility is not huge therefore it’s not difficult to peruse all exhibits within 1.5 - 2 hours. -Room to Refine: Although the front desk provides a booklet that indexes the exhibits and offers extended details, the arrangement and flow of the artwork itself left an unclear narrative. -Summary: We recommend a visit to this museum for the many unique exhibits and the support of this important history.

We tried to eat there over the 4th of July holiday 2025. I understand most restaurants are busy at this time but we never got past sitting down. We waited over 15 min just to get the attention of one of the servers who was overwhelmed by the amount of work he had to do... but still didn't seat us. A number of tables opened up so we grabbed our own menus, waited for it to be cleaned, and sat down... still no server or hostess. We looked over the menu and in the 10 additional minutes of waiting we knew what we wanted... but still no waiter. A group of 6 people then came in AFTER us... was immediately seated... and had a waiter and drinks in minutes! We decided this place was poorly managed and walked out! If you walk in and it looks understaffed, WALK OUT.

Matt is a phenomenal server! Short staffed and carrying most of the dining room by himself, he never broke a sweat and the smile never left his face. What a pro. Best service and the best burger I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend.

Service was fantastic, Matt was so attentive!! The food was delicious..... Hubby had spicy shrimp bowl and a beer. Cafe
The Lone Spur Cafe is a lively cowboy-themed diner in Prescott, AZ, offering classic American dishes for breakfast and lunch (and dinner once a week). The restaurant is adorned with Western paraphernalia, creating an authentic cowboy charm. It's known for serving some of the biggest breakfasts in the state at reasonable prices. The prime rib has garnered rave reviews, making its dinner service equally popular. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior is spacious and filled with Western kitsch.
This was a first time visit, and we were pleased in every way. The ambience in this old time saloon takes you back in time, and we enjoyed looking at all the parafernalia. Our server was personable, and took time to visit with us; she was also attentive throughout our meal. The food was fantastic, with great portions of tasty breakfast foods. I loved that biscuit and gravy is offered as a side and it was so good. The bacon was thick cut and especially flavorful. My husband ordered an omelet and a side choice was pancakes. She said “they’re the small ones”, we later regaled a pancake breakfast has huge pancakes! The prices were great, and we highly recommend. We’ll be back!

I've heard that this restaurant is new. Not the previous restaurant in that location. Anyway. My omelette's have been amazing there. They must be 4-5 egg omelette's. They're big! They're also very fluffy and moist. Not golden brown and dry. I've been a breakfast & lunch cook twice. Not like I'm an authority lol. But I recognize excellence. Even my wait person commented. That's a good omelette isn't it 👍🏼. Give her a raise! Just messing around. They're hash browns. Shredded. Are moist on the inside. Golden brown on the outside. Perfect 👍🏼.

Stopped here because my cousin had heard great things. He enjoyed his breakfast they use pintos beans instead of black beans. The burger was solid however the chicken tortilla soup was gross the chicken in it had no flavor and heavy cumin. Nothing out of the ordinary that would make me go out of my way to come back. Definitely a place to check out due to the decorations.

The food is good, they do serve you a lot of food. Great decoration inside very cowboy. The wait was a little bit longer like 45 mins. I just order scramble eggs, bacon, and seasoned potatoes. It came with a biscuit and gravy. It was good the potatoes were a little bit overcooked. My husband ordered the biscuit and gravy.

This is one of our go to lunch spots when we are in town. The birria and fish taco are my personal favorite but honestly they are all good. They have a bunch of local beers we like to grab while we are there too. The owner is really nice too. Can't wait to go back.

The atmosphere is amazing love the decor didn’t try any drinks but food was not what I was thinking not much flavor at all . Saw on Tik Tok that it was a must go to if in area but maybe for drinks I could pass on food . Had a shrimp taco fish Taco ,pineapple pork , carne asada not much flavor fish one was probably best . Not a fan of the salsa and guacamole as well not worth the $9 for that .

Been here twice now and both times everything was great! Kana and Lexi are amazing and super helpful with ordering. Best service and food in Prescott!
Jessica B — Google review
I really enjoyed the tacos here, but honestly they’re very small. I ordered three which cost over $15, but I realistically could’ve eaten six. The margarita I had was fantastic, but that was another $15. So $30 for the meal and a drink, that didn’t really fill me up, realistically to spend $45 for a filling meal and a cocktail. That’s a bit too much for some street tacos. The location is key, so you likely pay a little bit more for that. The ordering process takes quite a while. I don’t know if people are just not prepared when they get to the front, but maybe some signage while in the long line, so that those are prepared when they get to the front. Beyond that the drinks came out super fast and the tacos there after. The staff is very friendly, the vibe is kind of different, it’s like a hippie, grunge, college style. It’s obviously working for them, but there are definitely some things to improve upon.

Honestly, I’m really glad that I read the reviews before we went there. People were correct that the bartender whose name is EM is not personal or friendly at all. How can you be a Mexican restaurant and not have bottle Mexican beer and they don’t even have good Mexican canned beer, what a shame. The menu were dirty. They could’ve been wiped down, not impressed with the tacos. They were not worth five dollars each and they had the most bland pinto beans that I’ve ever eaten. I JUST CAN’T

Prescott Junction is a must-try! My friend and I recently had a fantastic lunch there, and I can't recommend it enough. First off, the service was super fast and incredibly commendable – we were seated and served our food in fast, which was much appreciated. We ordered the Chicken Pacifico, and wow! It's easily one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Both the bacon and the chicken breast were cooked to perfection, boasting just the right amount of crispiness and a delicious charred flavor. It was served with equally crispy and tasty french fries, making for a truly satisfying meal. The portion size of the sandwich was generous, to say the least, but it was so good that even after finishing off our first sandwiches, we immediately decided to order another one to share! Seriously, it was that good. If you're looking for a delicious and quick meal with top-notch service, Prescott Junction is the place to be.

We were on a ride up north to escape the heat and had planned on eating breakfast at a different restaurant. But unfortunately, or maybe, fortunately, that place was closed. So we did what everyone does and opened Google. This restaurant popped up, and the pictures looked great. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and our server was very nice and helpful. Our friends, who'd been here before, took us for breakfast. The food and service was outstanding! My hubby and my friends hubby both ordered the Traditional Breakfast which was 2 eggs plus your choice of breakfast meat, potato and bread. My friend ordered the Texas Smokehouse Skillet which was slow cooked beef brisket, Country potatoes, bell pepper, red onion topped with pepper jack cheese and two eggs plus your choice of breakfast bread. My friend said she was pleasantly surprised that the dish wasn't heavy with potatoes and the ratio with meat was very good. She also commented that she was very happy that she chose this dish 😁 I chose the Ranch Hand Pork Chop which consisted of a boneless and seasoned pork chop with Country potatoes, bell pepper, red onion and topped with pepper jack cheese and two eggs plus my choice of bread. The pork chop was tender, flavorful and the potatoes were chunky and very good. My eggs were perfectly cooked the way I like them and with the potatoes and biscuit with gravy, I was in heaven! 😋 The bread choices offered were toast, English muffin, freshly baked biscuits, muffin, or small buttermilk pancakes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and three of us went home with leftovers since the portions are good sized. You can pick up pies, muffins and other delicious delights at the front desk area. We are looking forward to going back for lunch and dinner to see how good they do those meals. 👍👍👍👍👍
