Bodies of Water
Watson Lake, located just 4 miles from Prescott, Arizona, is a rugged reservoir known for its large rock formations called Granite Dells. The lake offers a variety of outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing and camping. Its dark blue waters contrast beautifully with the surrounding boulders and cliffs.
Great place for picnicking, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. I especially love climbing out on the rocks above the disc golf course (do it at your own risk) with the most spectacular panoramic views of the lake and the raw, rugged landscape surrounding it - at the right time of day, this could possibly be the most peaceful place on earth.

Watson Lake is absolutely stunning and a must-visit in Prescott! The unique granite boulders surrounding the lake make for some of the most picturesque views you’ll find anywhere. It’s a great spot for hiking, kayaking, fishing, or just enjoying a peaceful picnic by the water. The trails around the lake are beautiful and offer plenty of photo opportunities. Easy to spend a whole afternoon here soaking in the scenery. A true gem in Prescott and perfect for nature lovers!
Gopal I — Google review
One of the most beautiful lakes I've ever visited. Tucked away just outside of Prescott Arizona it is definitely a hidden jewel. The layers of rocks surrounding the lake are absolutely gorgeous. It's almost like going back in time. The photo opportunities are many. The water reflections of the hillside's, rocks, and beautiful blue sky and clouds make for phenomenal photos. We live in San Diego but we make it a point whenever visiting Arizona or Phoenix, we make the drive up to Prescott
Fred L — Google review
I almost don't want to post anything about it because I want it to remain the treasure that it is. This is a beautiful place to kayak, plus there's trails all over the place, really cool ones through riparian areas.
Jennifer — Google review
Went kayaking for an hour. The first time slot at 8 am I believe is the best time to go. The birds are out and you can see cows on the mountain. We saw an Eagle. Beautiful boulder of rocks and fish. Wasn't hot and a good little work out on your arms and core. Good price for the hour. You can tandem or solo.
Erica M — Google review
Beautiful place to spend some time relaxing. You can rent a kayak and go kayaking in the lake just no swimming. View from up top was beautiful and the place was not that crowded. Best time to visit the lake is early morning or later in the evening. There is an entry fee for day time entry and for overnight camping. There is a designated area for the camping and recreational activities. Plenty of parking so no issue there. Hike around the lake is easy to moderate (depending on the hikers capacity) but a perfectly tracked way with easy walk. So, Enjoy !!!
Dinesh — Google review
Love to kayak here!! Have for years

Great Lake and Park outside of Prescott, AZ. Great trails that run the perimeter of the lake. Great views on the trail. Peaceful no wake lake. Perfect spot to kayak. The surrounding park has picnic areas, playgrounds and open fields to play. Clean bathrooms. A well maintained park. $3 for day visit.

Whiskey Row Alley in Prescott is a vibrant public space adorned with murals, sculptures, and installations that celebrate the city's rich history and culture. The alley has transformed into a lively area with historical shops, saloons, and unique eateries. Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of late 1800s style at The Palace Saloon while exploring the area's interesting shops and tourist attractions.
I enjoyed walking around this old town and appreciating the beauty of arts displayed without expectation! For instance, a man with a cowboy hat reading a book on stairway, with the jazz BGM, is a pleasant vibe!

Such a cool place to go. It was an added stop during out travels, and it was well worth it! I am going to have to go back and do it backwards so I can remember that half of it as well. Make sure you eat at the first Saloon when you go....
Mike V — Google review
Be very aware that some establishments here are cash only. While this is labeled on the entryway, this isn't something people normally stop to check for. So after they've poured your drink and you try to pay with your card they point to their private ATM which charges an additional fee which the establishment collects. I don't have a problem paying cash I just don't normally carry it and would have appreciated being told prior to the drinks being poured that it was cash only. I was clearly a tourist in the area and I'm sure this is something they routinely experience. I felt like this was just another upcharge because I was a tourist.

I had a blast roaming the antique and consignment stores. I spent two afternoons doing that during our three day visit. However one afternoon included the craft fair that was going on in the center square. All the stores are clean and well maintained. Items are nicely displayed. For those of you that have dogs, some businesses have water bowls outside their front entrance for them.

Great bars and atmosphere in the area. There are so many shops and eateries in the area that I didn’t have a chance to stop at each place. Would definitely visit again

Had dinner at The Palace Saloon! What a terrific restaurant. Loved the decor and atmosphere, including the bartenders and servers dressing in style for the late 1800's. Put this on your to do list.

Great stretch of historical shops and saloons. We stopped at The Palace and had a couple yummy appetizers and whiskey drinks. Lots of interesting, historical paraphernalia and pictures. The service was excellent and the food and drinks thanks were very good. We will be back again some day.

Local history museum
Located in downtown Prescott, Arizona, the Sharlot Hall Museum is a captivating history museum housed in a former governor's mansion. Named after its founder, this museum boasts a vast open-air campus with nearly a dozen well-preserved historic buildings showcasing artifacts and exhibits that delve into the area's rich past. From Native American artifacts to early residences and the oldest surviving log cabin in the state, visitors can explore and learn about the region's history from prehistoric times to present day.
I really enjoyed walking through this museum and history park. I was not expecting so many different houses and information. There was a print shop, a school house, a governor's house, transportation area with a stage coach and other modes people used, and more. Plan on spending an hour. The staff here were all pleasant, helpful, and professional.
Rosemary B — Google review
Definitely worth doing if you have some extra time in Prescott. This is the location of the first building, the governors mansion and the first headquarters of government when it was established as the capital. The transportation museum is really awesome and really a lot of really cool replicas and actual old buildings takes you back in time! !!
Jared L — Google review
We loved this museum! Our family - ages 10 to 60+ enjoyed reading, learning, and exploring. We spent three hours here and did not see it all. It was nice that kids are free and that admission covered two days!
Amy R — Google review
I have a lovely time here with my husband, brother, and sister in law. It's a laid back museum that shows artifacts from Prescott History. It's super cute and I found a couple neat books in the gift shop too. You can take a couple of hours to get through it, or, take extra time to sit on the benches and enjoy the landscaping.
Stephanie S — Google review
Omg, this is a must see museum in Prescott, AZ. It's $15 adult admission, but, worth every penny! It is on 4 acres with beautiful landscaping between the historical buildings. Each building has a different theme regarding the history & artifacts of the evolution of Prescott. One is Travel, which has bicycles from the 1800's to an actual covered wagon. Another an original house exactly as it looked, with the household items displayed. I could go on & on. So, if you are lucky enough to be in Prescott, AZ, you should plan it as part of your itinerary.

Fantastic visit and history of Prescott and surrounding the with a really nice native American exhibition
John R — Google review
The rose garden is so beautiful! Everyone was so kind and the buildings are all so great. There was even a neighborhood kitty (Mr. Chunk) who stopped in to say hello. It's an excellent place and we'll be going again very soon.

The Sharlot Hall Museum was so nice to visit! There was so many historical artifacts to see, ranging from natural history, Native American History, and Western history. We especially enjoyed walking through the Governor's Mansion and Fremont House. It was so fun to see what our everyday products used to look like in the 1800s. The docents were friendly and informative. Highly recommended stop while visiting Prescott!

Nestled in Prescott, Arizona, the Phippen Museum is a charming destination that celebrates the vibrant culture of the American West. Established in 1974 and named after esteemed Western artist George Phippen, this intimate museum showcases an impressive collection of artworks that reflect the rugged beauty and rich history of the region. Visitors can explore a diverse range of pieces including paintings, sculptures, and jewelry that highlight both cowboy life and Native American heritage.
I absolutely loved my visit to this little art museum. I got a 1:1 guided tour from cowboy docent Lonnie, and it was fantastic. Lonnie holds a wealth of information and intrigue, and as he walks with you through the museum, he enriches the experience of the art tenfold. We discussed technique, style, history, and the feelings that the art evokes. We studied color, historical accuracy, and the artist's intent. I learned so much, and I felt completely comfortable asking questions, proposing ideas, and sharing observations. Lonnie is a gem, and the cowboy art throughout the museum is beautiful and fascinating. I especially like that they've recreated the studios of a couple of the artists and that there's a whole section with historical objects, in addition, of course to the paintings, sculptures, and drawings. Plus there's a whole display about cowgirls, which is a delight! Honestly this was significantly more awesome than I expected, and I encourage anyone who is looking for an art experience that's slightly off the beaten path to make a visit. Thank you, Lonnie and Phippen Museum!
Shannon F — Google review
More of a museum of Western art, mostly paintings, than an exhibit of historical Western items, it was still a good time. If you are not into art, but want a museum of Western culture abd items, this may not be for you. My teen sons got bored quickly, but I enjoyed it.
Eric R — Google review
Nice trip through western history. Spent about 2 hours there but I like to read a lot of the information associated with the pictures and the artifacts. I really enjoyed it. Nice little gifts shop. Also opportunities to buy art, posters etc.
Lisa G — Google review
They ask, because it's an art gallery, for people not to post pictures of the art... That said, we had a wonderful time!!! Some truly stunning art from the Cowboy Artists, which includes canvas, sketches, bronze statues, and actual exhibits of the artists' workshops. The items belong to the museum or are on loan, and the exhibits change from time to time. If you are a veteran, make sure to mention this before paying for tickets. Prices for senior citizens are $10 at the time of this post. I am not a senior, but I AM interested in art. I wouldn't bring young children here, but its truly a wonderful place for a day trip for anyone over 20... I had a wonderful time, and they DO allow photography as long as you don't post it or use flash... Well worth the trip, very close to Prescott, gorgeous views of the rocks around the museum too. Loved the volunteers who took time to show people around and tell stories about the art and artists. FUN!
Danielle D — Google review
Women of the West exhibit is outstanding. A friend, Barbara Gerard-Mitchell has her painting there so we stopped to see all the art. Wonderful museum. Off the beaten path, so take your time and enjoy.
Randa H — Google review
If you love western art this is the place to see some of the best work. Mr Phippen’s work is amazing and There are a ton of other Cowboy Artist’s (CA) work as well. We loved it all especially the Sculptures. We really enjoyed our tour from Linda. She was very insightful and informative. We would recommend this to anyone that wants to see some great paintings. You can even buy some of the art that is displayed and they have a nice little gift shop too. They change the showcase every so often so you can always get a chance to see other artist’s work throughout the year.
Brian M — Google review
What an amazing small museum! We had a personal guided tour by Docent Lonnie! Lonnie provided us with a plethora of information on the museum and George Phippen, the artist. A Western Museum opened in 1984. This museum may be small, but the exhibits are of high quality and are very unique. Admission is $10.00 and $8.00 for Seniors. I had never heard of George Phippen or Ray Swanson prior to today, or any of the other talented artists! The current temporary exhibit is 'The River Flows' and features watercolors of the American West. This museum is well worth a visit.
The P — Google review
This friendly Prescott museum is an excellent destination to take a break from the summer heat in Phoenix. The Cowboy Artist exhibits include paintings, sculptures, and studio work items. There are some ranching museum collections too that give us a feel for what ranching life was like before machinery.

Thumb Butte, located in the scenic Prescott National Forest, is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The area offers numerous hiking and mountain biking opportunities amidst diverse scenery including ponderosa pines and desert plants. Hikers can enjoy the picturesque four-kilometer trail that winds through the forest, providing stunning views of the city and surrounding landscapes. The prominent Thumb Butte boasts breathtaking panoramic views from its lofty summit, making it a must-visit for nature lovers.
The symbol of Prescott, AZ, Thumb Butte is the iconic center point of the local skyline. Both paved and dirt trails lead to the saddle and offer great views of downtown Prescott. A much more technical path can take the more adventurous hikers to the summit where they will find truly beautiful views. Please note, this path is unmarked, uneven, and dangerous- proceed at your own risk. The summit is also closed part of the year for Peregrine nesting.

Go right on trail 33! I should have read reviews better. We went left and it was very very steep for kids (ages 6, 4, 1). My 4 year old went pretty high with dad but I didn’t make it to the top. I’m out of shape and should have brought more water. We could have taken more breaks and gone higher but for our kids it was enough adventure to go as high as we did.
Sarah F — Google review
Great place to hike, nice trails and views!

Amazing hike, make sure you take the back way up it's so much more enjoyable. The views are awesome and right now it's not eagle mating season so the ascent is clear. It's 5$ for parking but they do take card there is also a bunch of mountain biking I would like to check out after the daily rain calms down. What are you waiting for get out and hike it!
_ _ — Google review
One of the best hiking experiences i’ve ever had. The 1st with the trail is pretty easy to finish but the 2nd part which leads to the top of the mountain is tough. You need to be careful. Stunning view is a nice reward.
Tấn N — Google review
Great area for hiking. Took trail 33 which is a couple of miles long with some steep sections but most of them paved. Paid parking in the National Forest service lot across the street. Beautiful area and on a weekday morning not at all crowded. Information on the hike is on the National Forest service website. There are a number of other hikes from the same starting point. Great spot
Steve H — Google review
Not much of a hiker, so take this review for what it's worth I enjoyed it. Fairly short, but steep. I was surprised of the difficulty coming down, and it was paved. Again, not much of a hiker.
Scott M — Google review
Started hiking up the steep side of Thumb Butte then continued down a trail on the back side. Found a large area of vegetation that had been burned and was charred 🥺. Had a nice easy hike after climbing the front side of Thumb Butte. Had a biker and a few hikers pass by. Recommend this hike. There are handicapped accessible bathrooms. Ladies bathroom was clean, all but one toilet.

Lynx Lake, located in the Prescott National Forest, is a picturesque 55-acre lake that offers a variety of recreational activities. Surrounded by tall ponderosa pine forests and situated at a 5,500-foot elevation, it provides a cool escape from the desert heat for visitors from Phoenix. The lake is popular for fishing, boating, bird watching, hiking, and horseback riding. The Lynx Lake Loop Trail offers a scenic 2.
This lake is about 15 minutes from Prescott. It is a small lake that is perfect for a day trip! You can't swim in the lake, but it is perfect for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and boating (as long as it's 10 HP or less). I heard that there are bass, trout, catfish, and crappie at the lake. There are plenty of picnic tables and grills at one end of the lake. We decided to hike around the lake. There is a trail that is about two miles that takes you around the lake. I would consider it an easy trail. There are plenty of trees for shade as you make your way around the lake. My only gripe is that people should clean up after themselves. I thought the picnic area was a bit trashy. Remember the rule, leave no trace. It is a beautiful area, let's keep it that way!
Alice W — Google review
It could be the time of the year but the lake was drying up. If you zoom in the picture you can see people walk a considerable distance to get to the lake from the recreational area. I was expecting more water it looked really small from the view.

I loved the experience at Lynx lake! We had amazing hosts in H! Our family book d 3 out of 4 of the sites here! The campsite was cleaned very well, the restrooms maintained very well! Manny and wife were such great people. I can’t recall the host from Thursday, but she was great and helpful when we checked in. I would definitely recommend this loop especially if you are going with your whole family group keeps you together but separately! We will be back in years to come!

I revisited one of my favorite stops while in town and it was as beautiful as ever! Its great now that your able to use your debit or credit card instead of having to bring cash to park. The serene environment and the stunning views always make it a perfect getaway. I can't wait to go back again!

Beautiful area. Currently the lake is at its lowest level for repair to the dam. Hopefully it will fill to full capacity soon but with the current drought in Arizona who knows how long that will take

Great looking lake with a good-looking boat launch. A lot of people on the lake today and more people getting ready to explore. Plenty of picnic tables, grilling areas and hiking trails. it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I WOULD RECOMMEND

I did not expect to find such a beautiful place for hiking. The lake is artificial, but it looks very alpine. There is a hiking trail around it that takes an hour to circumnavigate. The scenery is gorgeous. You forget you are in Arizona 🥵

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary in Prescott, AZ is a family-friendly destination offering a unique opportunity to view and interact with various animals. Established in 1988, the sanctuary features spacious enclosures and educational exhibits along the scenic Willow Lake. It is home to a diverse collection of local and exotic animals, with interactive programs that allow visitors to get up close and personal with many of them.
What a fantastic place. Love animals so much, I know it’s hard to see them caged but these cannot be returned to the wild. Great signage, plenty shade and trees, most animals were out and visible. To be that close to a black panther - worth it for that alone. Plenty parking despite school tours. Restrooms were clean. Overall excellent and worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Julia F — Google review
Heritage Park Zoo is a great place for kids. All the exhibits are the perfect height for children, and closer than a larger zoo so you have a better chance of seeing the animals. There are large conservation efforts and it seems like the animals are well taken care of. There is also a playground and water feature for children to run through and scheduled times for feeding where the caretakers introduce the animals, tell their back stories, and educate patrons. There are mostly native species of animals to see with some exotic species as well and they are currently working on expanding the reptile house. Overall neat zoo and a great time for children and adults.
Laura R — Google review
Amazing place for little kids. Really enjoyed how close the animals are. The petting zoo area was a fun spot. There are lots of playgrounds throughout to play on and even a little splash pad. The zookeeper interactive sessions with the bears and jaguar were real highlights!

What a great place! Wow! We were so impressed! Playground, splash pad, and all the animals to see, makes it an awesome experience for kids! Well kept grounds! Highly recommend!

What a fantastic experience! We opted for the private behind the scenes tour (1.5 hours, just under $300 for two people), and it was so worth it. You get up & close to several animals to give them snacks, and the host gives you a plethora of information about the sanctuary and each animal. Dyann was so knowledgeable and a great guide for our experience. The sanctuary is a wonderful cause and well worth every minute. It's not a massive complex either, so it's very easy to take a stroll around with just a few little hills and awesome scenery. Highly recommend!
Kristin M — Google review
Just spent a wonderful few hours visiting the zoo. The park was clean and the walk through clearly marked. The zoo is fairly small compared to those in large cities. We finished the walk through, played in the splash pad (SO glad they had one), and visited the gift shop in about 2.5 hours. We loved seeing the wide assortment of large cats and birds of prey. There was a summer camp happening and all the kids looked like they were having a blast.
John F — Google review
This is a great little zoo. Seems well kept but most of the animals are nowhere to be found of it is a warm day or unless they are being fed. Just be aware of that before you go.

Beautiful, clean lake with zero trash in sight. It’s on the smaller side—but hey, it’s not about the size of the boat, right? 😏 but the motion in the ocean.. or something like that 🙄😂 The water was still a bit chilly, but that didn’t stop the dogs from diving in. The surrounding park is well-maintained, and parking was easy. From the lot, it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump to the water. Fun spot to hang out, explore, or rent some kayaks for a relaxing day.

Beautiful lake in the mountains of "Preskitt". We went kayaking and we had the whole lake to ourselves at 10:00 a.m. on a Thursday. Lots of wildlife and beautiful hiking trails.
Jeanie S — Google review
It was a fun evening here. It was very relaxing. We actually saw some deer too. They were eating the shrubbery.. along a nice path (Holy Grail reference). Lol
Andrew C — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous trail! It’s the perfect moderate hike — a nice mix of elevation changes, switchbacks, and some narrow paths that keep things interesting without being too hard. The views are stunning the entire way, with the lake beside you and plenty of wildlife to spot. We saw a deer lay down for a nap, had a bald eagle fly right over our heads (you could feel the wind from its wings!), and spent the whole hike watching tree and water birds. There are two bathrooms — one at the upper lake park and another at the lower lake, right near the crossover sub-trail behind the dam between the two lakes. Both are vaulted toilets, clean, and well-stocked, which was a nice surprise! The trail also has tons of benches spaced out frequently, perfect for resting, birdwatching, or taking in the lake views. We ended up doing the trail as a figure-8 loop to adjust for the sun later in the day, and it worked perfectly. I’m a photographer and tend to wander slowly (about 125 photos per mile 😅), so including breaks and photo stops, our full outing took around 3 hours. It’s also a beautiful place to visit in autumn when the leaves change color — the reflections on the lake are incredible. Bonus: there’s a great playground for kids and a nice spot for catch-and-release fishing, making it a fun destination for families too.

Very good place to hike! Entrance fee is only $3 to park and they have playgrounds and lots of benches around the lake to stop and rest. I highly recommend it!

In the ongoing saga I like to call “Healing from Hurricane Beau”, I’ve been driving all over Arizona looking for two things: water to paddleboard on and peace of mind that doesn’t cost $200 an hour in therapy. Which brings me to Goldwater Lake in Prescott, a shimmering little oasis nestled in the pines that delivered both. I rolled up to Goldwater on a hot summer day, paddleboard in the back, trauma in the front seat, and hope somewhere in the cupholder. The $3 entrance fee felt like a small price to pay for a shot at inner peace, especially with the friendly staff who smiled like they hadn’t just seen me sobbing in the rearview mirror five minutes prior. The upper lake had a solid crowd, enough people that it felt lively, but not so packed that I started panicking about who would film my rescue video if I accidentally drifted into the middle and capsized. (Spoiler alert: I did fall in. But I pulled myself out like the resilient, slightly damp legend I am.) The water was perfect, refreshingly cool but not frigid, like a good therapist who tells you the truth without making you cry too hard. There are little beachy pockets scattered around, perfect for pulling ashore, laying back, and pretending your ex doesn’t exist. Honestly, Goldwater Lake might be the best water day I’ve had in a while. No speedboats. No party bros with Bluetooth speakers. Just paddleboards, pine trees, and peace. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking to reset, reconnect with nature, or just float and emotionally reboot. I’ll definitely be back, emotionally lighter, SPF heavier.

Goldwater Lake takes the cake!!! I went here today with a friend. We brought our kids (1yr old and 9 month old). It was fun! We had a picnic at the park, we attempted to go 4X4 with the strollers on two trails. We didn’t get far, but it was quite the experience. 🤣 We also fed the ducks, so that was nice to see as well. We paid $3 to get into the park and the park closes at 10pm. What a time! Take a trip and go! You can Kayak, fish, BBQ, or just relax. Take your eyes and mind outside of your home and into nature. 😊

Nestled in a charming stone building, the Museum of Indigenous People in Prescott, Arizona, is a treasure trove of Native American heritage. Formerly known as the Smoki Museum of American Indian Art and Culture until its renaming in 2020, this cultural gem showcases an impressive array of artifacts including pottery and baskets that tell the stories of Indigenous peoples. The museum's establishment was significantly influenced by passionate individuals like Kate Cory and Dr. Byron Cummings, who contributed invaluable art and archaeological finds.
This museum was very nice and quite informative. I learned several things during my visit. The tour is self guided as the museum is fairly small. I like the combination of the old and new indigenous items. The staff was very nice. I also like the self guided tour book I was given. It explained a lot about each exhibit. My favorite part was the outdoor garden with plants that were and are used by Indigenous peoples as medicines, dyes and making everyday items. I’ll definitely be back to visit.

Our visit to the Museum of Indigenous People in Prescott was informative and enjoyable! We went on a Saturday morning, and the two docents had so much knowledge to share and so much respect for the people this museum represents. I'm grateful Prescott is preserving this incredibly important and rapidly disappearing history. Stop in to see gorgeous, handmade artifacts; imagine the ways humans lived life many many years ago; and come ready to learn about the people who were here long before we were.

Thoroughly enjoyed this! A lot of history is explained here, with a great amount and variety of artifacts and displays. Went there with my wife and two teen sons, and we all enjoyed this. We learned a lot too. Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable too.

We really enjoyed our time at the museum of indigenous people. Tones of amazing original art and artifacts. The building is really beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be going back on our next visit.

Love this museum. It's small, but the displays are very informative and the building all the artifacts are displayed in is an artifact itself. The museum curator was pleasant and full of information. There was a collection of old used books that have to do with anything about the lives of the Indigenous people around Prescott. I bought an amazing book about all the different types of baskets that were made in the area by the Navajo, Hopi, and Apache, for $4. I was too happy. There's also lots of Indian handmade Jewelry, pottery, trinkets, and new books written and beautifully illustrated. ♥️♥️♥️

On 5/6 in the early afternoon I visited Museum of Indigenous People for the first time. Right after entering the museum I was greeted by a very courteous and welcoming gentleman. I believe his name was Mike. His courtesy made a great impression on me. Mike gave me a brief, yet informative overview of the museum. Regarding the museum itself, wow!! An astounding collection of art, artifacts and information. I was enamored with everything that I feasted my eyes on. I visited the museum for 90 well-spent minutes. And I'd love to someday return to view the exhibits that I didn't get to see.

-Timeframe: We visited mid day on Saturday. There were only a handful of visitors in the museum. -Pricing: It cost $6 for 3 people, 2 of whom were free with Native American ID (CDIB) + $6 for a veteran discount. Kiddo could have also gotten in free for being under age 12. Ample free parking is available around the building. -The front desk was very friendly, extending invitations to show and explain exhibits -Meeting “n” Exceeding: The museum provides a relaxed hometown feel, with many regional donations and exhibits. Although there is a large volume of display items, the facility is not huge therefore it’s not difficult to peruse all exhibits within 1.5 - 2 hours. -Room to Refine: Although the front desk provides a booklet that indexes the exhibits and offers extended details, the arrangement and flow of the artwork itself left an unclear narrative. -Summary: We recommend a visit to this museum for the many unique exhibits and the support of this important history.

Surrounded by well-preserved buildings and lush greenery, this lively plaza serves as a focal point for local celebrations and festivals. The iconic Yavapai County Courthouse stands at its center, providing a picturesque backdrop for visitors to enjoy while strolling along brick-lined pathways and admiring public art installations. Listed on the U.S.
Great place to take in some old town Prescott history but mainly shopping, restaurants, and saloons. Parking is adequate. Easy to walk, everything is well maintained and clean, and you feel safe here.

The Courthouse Square in Downtown Prescott is a place where people walk around, sit on benches, walk their dogs, or enjoy one of the weekends where there are lots of vendors selling products and the community comes together. Lots of great stores down here, antique shops, and some great places to eat. The Courthouse Square, or Whiskey Row, use to have several bars downtown 100 years ago but a few are left. The trees are very thick & tall so there is lots of shade. People bring blankets to sit on the grass and enjoy a lunch sometimes. I lived and worked in the Phoenix heat for 30 years, so this was a COOL PLACE to come and breathe fresh air instead of the hot air of Phoenix. In retirement, I’m thankful to be here at 5,000 feet in Prescott and have a chance to walk the Square and talk to friendly people.

This is a small town square with restraunts, bars and specialty shops around a beautiful historical courthouse and park. Plenty of places to wander around for a couple of hours or more. Can be crowded during weekend events. It's a great place just to wander around and relax.

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot in the heart of Prescott! The courthouse itself is full of history, and the surrounding square is perfect for a relaxing stroll. Shady trees, benches, and charming shops nearby make it a great place to unwind and take in the pretty surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town!

I’ve heard it called the “gem of Yavapai County” It’s pretty charming. I take my sun here to play in the shade of the trees during the summer. It’s lovely during the holiday season too. The trees are festooned with colored lights. The Plaza hosts numerous events over the course of the year. Restaurants and bars surround. Definitely worth a walk around if you’re in Prescott.

The court house is beautiful, it holds that hometown America feel. The statues are amazing the grounds manicured I encountered both Prescott Police and YCSO deputies, they were friendly and professional! Unfortunately there was a crowd disparaging law enforcement, carrying signs with vulgarities and distracting the American flag. They swore and flipped people off who were not swearing or making obscene gestures to them. They were attendees of the No Kings Protest. Sort of ruined the feel.

Well I hadn't been there in 30 years so it obviously changed. It's a very nice space with some nice monuments and lots of eateries around. You could easily spend a day here. It'd be nice if the bathrooms were open after 5:00. But such is life.

Prescott Frontier Days, Inc. - World's Oldest Rodeo is a must-visit event in Prescott, Arizona. Established in 1888, it has become one of the most anticipated annual events in the city. With eight rodeo performances featuring bull riding, barrel racing, wild horse racing, and steer wrestling, this adrenaline-packed festival attracts thousands of visitors every year. The event also includes a rodeo dance and parade for family-friendly entertainment.
Although we didn’t make it to the rodeo, we made it to so many other things that was going on in town. A lot of great music, one, two, three, four, five even six people in the band, so fun. And what an amazing turnout for the parade one of the best parades I’ve been to in years and it lasted about an hour and 40 minutes, the town really came out to support these events. This is the oldest rodeo in the world..love this town. I WOULD RECOMMEND
Cindy L — Google review
The rodeo was awesome, as it is every year. The atmosphere was electric, the staff was friendly and helpful. There were so many wonderful vendors. The pregnancies between events were terrific. I hadn’t been to the rodeo for about 15 yrs and it was as awesome as I had remembered. The last time I attended my children were young. This time I got to bring my grandchildren and we intend to return each year as we did when my children were young. My grandkids just loved it and I look forward to seeing them enjoy it more and more as they get older.
Dysa P — Google review
This was our first time as a family attending the rodeo. The adults had been previously & have wonderful memories. I think the kiddos made great memories too. Our oldest did mutton busting before the rodeo begins for the day. 12 kids are selected in advance & they all take turns getting settled on a sheep & busting out of the gate. It was such a great experience!

One of my absolute favorite events every year! The entire town is bustling with activities and it’s fun for all ages.

I’m not one to complain and understand mistakes happen but was absolutely shocked at the widespread problem people were experiencing! The rodeo venue scammed us. We bought tickets 4 months in advance and showed up at the rodeo to be told the rodeo deleted our tickets assuming “it was a scam purchase”- zero effort to contact us, no refund and they resold the seats. With no seats then available our only option to enter was “standing room.” In our time getting it sorted, we saw at least 3 other groups experiencing the exact same scam. How many seats did they double sell? Being pregnant and bringing 2 toddlers to watch the rodeo, I bought seats because shocker, we wanted seats in addition to kids under 7ish not being tall enough to even see over the banner rail in standing. So we alternated between sitting on the dirt with zero view and holding kid up. Halfway through we were then moved out of the standing room area by rodeo workers because heads in way of the seating area. Driving 3 hours and bringing visitors from England we continuously pushed through the misery. The show itself was to be expected rodeo, but absolutely would never attend again and scared for anyone to purchase tickets at a high chance you’ll be scammed out of your purchase.

Been to this rodeo a few times. Not my fav thing in the world but the kids like it and they had $6 beers and less expensive food options. The venue is pretty old and run down and some of the rodeo carnies are pretty creepy. Overall, not bad.

Came here with our 2 year old who loves nature and being outside. He cried when we had to leave, which is very uncharacteristic of him. Definitely recommend as a place to walk around, relax, take in the scenery, and disconnect from the outside world (no cell service and no WiFi). They also have a “forest playground” built for kids that is something I’ve never seen before. It was all great!

This place is extraordinary! We're so happy to have found out about the Highlands Center when we came for a field trip with our homeschool group. The staff are amazing! Jules and Nick led our group of students and they did such a great job engaging the kids and really fostering their curiosity and thinking. Jules's enthusiasm is infectious. This place is beautiful. Me and my family stopped by after the giftshop had closed but we were still able to hike around on the well kept trails and take advantage of the free parking. It also has clean restrooms. This place takes donations and has a drop slot in front of the giftshop. The Palace Restaurant & Saloon, located on Whiskey Row, is a historic establishment dating back to 1877. Despite facing destruction during the 1900 fire, it was rebuilt and continues to operate as the oldest frontier saloon in Arizona. Once frequented by Wild West legends like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, today it offers steakhouse fare and dinner theater in an atmospheric setting adorned with period costumes.
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant/bar in Prescott. We stop there for a late lunch and the place was relatively busy. We had very good food and great service to boot. We tried their steak, burgers and a couple of appetizers. The shredded beef tacos were really good. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. But I guess the main draw to this location must be the fact it’s well over 100 years old. The restaurant. Specially the bar area has its old saloon charm and it is very inviting. I highly recommend a visit to this place next time you visit Prescott.
Mehrdad M — Google review
It's like an anchor establishment on whiskey row. The dining room has been beautifully restored, and houses a great deal of interesting memorabilia. There are numerous dining areas including a large outdoor space for live music, presumably. Our food came out quickly and hot! The Gila grilled chicken salad was generously covered with chicken, onion, tomato, croutons and cheese. Bunkhouse beans were loaded with bacon, cheese and pico. Our fish was perfectly cooked, crispy, flavorful, and non fishy, they're accompanied by fries which I wouldn't have minded subbing if any were available. The restrooms are clean and modern. We'll definitely go back when we're in the area.
Jeff B — Google review
It's a restaurant but it is almost a museum as well. I've been before but it's always a fun place to grab a bite. I went for the street tacos (fish and brisket) as I wasn't too hungry, but I did get the Palace Cooler and that was tasty. The fish tacos had a wonderful sauce and the brisket was very tasty (and generous amount of meat). He went for the Beast Campfire style, recommend by the waitress. There was nothing left so it was a hit.
Mazanec M — Google review
We decided to go to the Palace restaurant/saloon because of the history and the stories. We were surprisingly disappointed. We ordered an expresso martini, burger and fries, and blackened shrimp over ceasar salad. The burger was ordered medium(it was well) and as basic as they come. No flavor at all. I received 4 whole shrimp on my salad for $19. Talk about inflation...I thought they left half my shrimp in the kitchen. I am very disappointed in this restaurant. The server was excellent. Food was not worth it. Our bill was $55. W tax, surcharge, and tip $70+. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a drink and a few pictures. Dont waste your money.
Faith L — Google review
-The Palace staff were welcoming. Kudos for the service time across drink order, food order, and food served. -Meeting “n” Exceeding: This historic landmark offers a befitting atmosphere with an abundance of western adornments. Wait staff attempt to “dress the part”, albeit we were visiting the day after Halloween so unsure if this is the norm. -Room to Refine: We were initially confused about seating when we walked in. Keep walking when you enter the saloon doors, the host stand is past the bar. Some additional signage could be helpful here for first time diners. We were also a bit taken aback when, although we were all a few bites from finishing our food, our server requested we lift our feet as he wanted to vacuum underneath the table. Our food was nothing to rave over, with the collective highlight voted as the tasty seasoned toothpick fries. -Summary: Located right across from the Victorian style courthouse in downtown Prescott, The Palace Restaurant & Saloon is recommended for cowpokes seeking old west appeal in historic digs.

The Earp family would not stand for this. This is an injustice—we cry, bring back the corn chowder! I rode in all the way from the valley, desert sun at my back, with nothing but the dream of whiskey and corn chowder to wet my whistle. Oh, the humanity. The pain. The sorrow… But alas, only the whiskey remains to drown my grief. All jokes aside, I love and adore The Palace. If you ever find yourself in Prescott, it’s an absolute must!
Jennifer D — Google review
What fun! I went on a Saturday afternoon during an art show in town. I met one of the saloon characters who gave me a tour of the "old whorehouse"—his words, not mine! The history in this place is incredible. Wyatt Earp reportedly sat at that bar! I had a French dip sandwich and fries—both were tasty—and got talked into sampling a couple bourbons and whiskeys (not my thing, but the bartender was entertaining). The old-school charm, historical artifacts, and ghost stories made it a quirky and memorable experience. Don’t skip the bathroom tour—there’s supposedly a ghost in there. I didn’t see her, but who knows?

We were in Prescott, AZ and found ourselves on Whiskey Row in the town area of Prescott. An old saloon, Palace was once frequented by Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and others. Palace was named one of the 10 best historic bars in America. Walking inside, you pass through saloon doors into the saloon bar area. There is also a dining room beyond the saloon area. There are stairs leading up to an area where the brothel would have been. At the top of the steps was a "lady of the night" to greet you, lol. The food and service was great and the staff was knowledgeable about the history of the saloon. If you ever make it to Prescott, AZ the Palace would be a great stop to make.

Nestled within the grounds of a VA hospital in Prescott, the Fort Whipple Museum offers an intriguing glimpse into the past, specifically focusing on its rich history from the 1800s. Once serving as officers' quarters, this museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts that include medical instruments, weaponry, and personal letters from soldiers who were stationed there during pivotal moments like the Civil War.

Hours are evidently not correct. We went there this weekend and absolutely nobody was around, but security was quick to come "intercept" us. I was very interested in learning some of Prescott's and Arizona's history, but it seems this is yet another thing the Veteran's Administration has claimed and ruined while wasting tax dollars. It was awesome to see these old officers quarters, but the VA has allowed them to become so dilapidated and worn that some are actually falling apart. Ruining American history both by killing our vets and physical history. Way to go, VA.

This bistro has gained popularity for its diverse menu featuring Spanish specialties and world cuisine. With a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, the restaurant offers an outdoor patio, live entertainment, and a full bar with an extensive selection of wines and beers.
I wasn’t drinking but appeared to to have a large selection. The food was amazing. I always enjoy a great tapas bar and my mother said it was the best food she’s had in years. I never remember to take photos till im eating so here’s what I got! Edit: second time was just as good!

We had such an amazing time at the restaurant! We didn't know Sundays were live jazz nights, so that was a welcomed surprise. My husband & I ordered several dishes off of the tapas menu, and each one was fantastic (polenta with honey, chorizo hash, pozole, and pork belly tacos). The "tequila libre" mocktail was delicious, too. Our waitress was so fun to talk with, and she was very attentive. The place is a great spot for awesome food & entertainment. Since it's not huge, it's strongly recommended that you make a reservation in advance. It can get pretty crowded because it's apparently very popular (and rightfully so!)

I can't say enough good about this place. The food was so so good... The service was exceptional... And the whole vibe is just Prescott. We went there for our 49th wedding anniversary and we're a little tentative because it is a little, off the main path place... But what a reward for trusting the reviews. It was everything people said and more. The price was MORE THAN FAIR for portion size. Every bite was incredible. Pork belly tacos #1 Cheesy Polenta#2 Blue Tacos #3 Green chili pork wontons #4 Chips and salsa #5 Pulled pork Breshetta #6 And the creme brulee was yummy (But they were all incredible)

Warm greeting, quick seating(I will say we went at 1pm for a quick date so don't come at me if tou wait! But worth it) our waitress Sedona was such a gem had rare quality service and was so sweet! The food speaks for itself! Black and Bleu tacos and Goat cheese with fig and pita both were chefs kiss! The desert rose was a delish drink, well balanced and flavorful! Always a great place to enjoy your people and theirs!

What a cute little restaurant! I recently tried the blackened salmon salad and ordered the dressing on the side. The salmon was perfectly seasoned, though I do wish the portion was a bit bigger – my piece was only about 2 oz. If you're looking for more protein, I’d recommend adding a side or extra protein to your meal. The restaurant was really generous with the corn and pickled onions, which added great flavor and texture to the dish. My friends had the tacos and taquitos, and they were really happy with them. Just a heads-up: the taquitos come with mayo, so if you're not a fan, be sure to ask for it on the side. The service was amazing, and the ambiance was so quaint and welcoming – perfect for families! Overall, a great dining experience, and I’ll definitely be back.

The park Watson Lake offers visitors a wide range of activities, such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. It is also a great place for disc golf. The park is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and is surrounded by boulders and hills.
Highly recommend this place! We went for a quick Sunday trip and wish we would have had more time and energy for the full loop hike around the dam. The hike was fun, varied scenery, lots of rocks to climb, well marked and moderate in intensity. Definitely bring water and I’d recommend an early morning or late afternoon trip as it can get hot! There were kayak rentals, a big open field, picnic tables and a playground. The playground wasn’t shaded enough so didn’t appeal to us, though otherwise great place! Entry fee is $3, but worth it!

Watson Lake in Prescott is a hidden gem. The Granite Dells create an amazing backdrop for kayaking and hiking. The trails offer a mix of easy walks, and more difficult hikes, so it’s perfect for all skill levels. It’s a peaceful spot to picnic, fish, or just look at the views. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

We actually went out to hike the five mile five Watson Lake Loop. We parked in a parking lot just off the highway near the bird sanctuary area, so we had no fee. We started our hike walking towards the dam and granite dells. We passed through the park where there was, a boat ramp, toilets, kayak rental place, picnic tables, and an old Frisbee golf course. This was an easy part of the trail, From there, we started to head up and over the granite boulders going in a clockwise direction. We wanted to get the harder parts out of the way first. It was a beautiful hike. We are 61 and 67, regular hikers, and found some of the areas a little challenging. There was a bit of scrambling and rock hopping. Be prepared with good hiking shoes and maybe hiking poles. Some areas are quite steep. It is absolutely beautiful. We actually got lost in the beauty and added an extra mile to the hike. It is well marked for the most part, but it is easy to go off trail. The last section around the marsh was flat and easy. We were sure glad we'd picked to do the hard part first. Go prepared and take plenty water. We packed a picnic, to stop and enjoy along the way. It was certainly worth the effort.

What a beautiful little Park up out of Prescott. There were some camping sites there that weren't great but would be okay... But the rest of the park and the kayaking is out of this world.

The lake is always beautiful, never too many people unless its being used for a public event, otherwise its very relaxing, The camp offers a beautiful lush field which is rare for AZ and while the lake isnt clean enough to swim in, the diversity of birds and other wildlife make it the perfect place to spend a cooler afternoon

I had a wonderful meal at Bistro St. Michael in Prescott and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food with a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant’s historic charm, paired with friendly and attentive service, made for a fantastic dining experience. The Biscuits and Gravy was cooked perfectly and packed with delicious flavors. We were delighted to learn the building the restaurant is located in was rebuilt in 1901 and the flooring and ceiling are all original material. The service was outstanding and the food delicious! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and I had the Ruben. It was really great to hear they smoke their pork and make the pastrami right there. Highly recommended!

The food is delicious and everyone is very kind! So glad we stumbled in. Go get the chicken sandwich. I know that sounds like a strange suggestion but the jalapeno coleslaw on it is amazing. And it is crispy protection goodness!!
Angie C — Google review
The food is excellent here. The Whiskey Jam Burger is my favorite, but the chicken sandwich and the Ruben are excellent, too. The fries have a really nice coating on them that make them scrumptious. The service was excellent, in spite of them being very busy. We were well taken care of by our server. She was on top of drink refills and making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was a little noisy, but that's because they were very busy (a usual occurrence at this establishment), but you could still carry on a conversation with your party and be heard. I highly recommend Bistro St. Michael's.

Farm Provisions is a laid-back restaurant in Prescott, Arizona, offering a diverse menu of tacos, burgers, and surf 'n' turf dishes. Opened in 2018 by husband and wife team Ryan and Brittany Peters, the restaurant focuses on simple food elevated with a seasonally changing menu featuring locally sourced produce and meats.
We had a fabulous lunch at Farm Provisions in Prescott, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We started with the chicken pot pie, which was pure comfort food perfection. The crust was beautifully golden and flaky, encasing a rich, savory filling brimming with tender chicken and perfectly cooked vegetables in a luscious sauce. Each bite felt like a cozy hug. The blackened chicken sandwich was another standout. The chicken was expertly seasoned and grilled, with just the right amount of spice and smokiness. Paired with crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and a soft bun, it offered a satisfying balance of textures and flavors. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was equally impressive. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, with delicious grill marks that added a subtle smokiness. The romaine lettuce was crisp and fresh, generously coated in a creamy, tangy Caesar dressing, and topped with shaved parmesan and crunchy croutons for the perfect bite. Everything was delicious and made to perfection, showcasing the kitchen’s commitment to fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Farm Provisions is definitely a must-visit spot for anyone craving a memorable meal in Prescott!

FARM Provisions in Prescott blew me away! The crab cakes were perfection — crispy on the outside, packed with flavor, and so fresh. The filet mignon was cooked flawlessly, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with rich, savory goodness. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in Prescott — a must-visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pretty sure I just had one of the best meals of my life here tonight. We got the pot pie and the blackened chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries. Bliss. Our experience is something that took our breath away. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by two very warm young ladies, to the overall embracing energy shared amongst guests to the palate explosion of flavors in our meals, tonight was special. We would drive hours just to come for dinner. Their staff had that special family feel. They all actually seem to love one another. The hostesses were beyond sweet with huge smiles. Our server felt like it was family making sure we were happy and fed. And the highlight was the food. I dont know what is going on in that kitchen but every kitchen in this country should be so lucky. I ordered the short ribs and once I started, I didn't speak a word for 15 minutes. I didn't even sip my wine. I was in a culinary experience that made my taste buds water and my heart shed tears of happiness. It was organic. Easily one of the best meals ive ever had in my life. My wife shared the moment in silence with me as we were taken to a place where comfort, passion and tantalizing flavors made your soul feel full. Thank you so so much to everyone. To the owner, you are blessed. You have created a truly special place and we cant wait to come back and share more.

Cute place. Nice counter person. Prices about average. Sells some food and pastries as well as coffees and other beverages. Update: Came in again today when in town as my daughter really really liked her drink from the previous visit; she said she missed that coffee. We got some scones this time and they were very good, I am not usually a big scones fan but really liked them. They were making a quiche for someone as we were leaving and it smelled great.

This is the best little coffee shop I have ever been to! This past weekend I took up there and went both Saturday and Sunday. Breanna is the best. So welcoming and makes a delicious peanut butter mocha. Really great coffee and I think very affordable (cheaper than Starbucks or black rock plus tastes better). If you’re in town and you’re a coffee addict like myself you must stop by.
Kellee W — Google review
Cuppers is a locally owned coffee shop with a cool vibe and fast service. Contrary to what was advertised in their description, they are not housed in an old Victorian house. I think that might have been an old location. They are now located within a modern strip of buildings a few blocks from Prescott’s Historic Town Square. I enjoyed my coffee at Cuppers, however, the breakfast left much to be desired. The eggs and bacon were dry and seemed as if they had been heated up in the microwave. If you’re just looking for a place to get coffee… I would still recommend stopping by.

Nice little place, comfy atmosphere. Sandwiches are a bit pricey at $10+, but very worth it because they've got plenty of filling, and multiple different toppings. For example, the ham melt sandwich wasn't just ham and cheese, it was at least two or three kinds and cheese and aoli. Very nice. The club sandwich tasted nice and fresh & firm, no soggy bread or tomatoes or bacon, everything was nice and crisp.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Prescott. Whether I need a chill atmosphere to do homework or I want to meet with a friend over coffee, I usually end up at Cuppers. Their skinny pancakes with brown sugar syrup are irresistible. The avocado crepe is also delicious. Coming from someone who made coffee for 2 years in a traditional Italian coffee shop, I can also vouch for their espresso drinks. Their americanos are great and their employees seem to be well trained in making coffee.

I stopped into this coffee shop during a weekend day trip after seeing it recommended on TikTok. My first impression was great, the barista at the front taking orders was super sweet. Unfortunately, things went downhill at the handoff area. It felt disorganized, the staff there came off as rude, and honestly, a bit condescending. I had a negative experience myself, and when my husband joined me at the handoff area and asked a simple question about a pastry, he was met with just: "I don't know." That was it. The atmosphere is great, but the baristas could definitely be a lot kinder.

My dog and I were enjoying the trail though I was glad I had my all trails map open because all of the little connecting trails made it a bit difficult to be sure if we were still on the main trail. We were about half way through the loop and stumbled upon a rattle snake that luckily I saw before my dog and before the snake saw us. After looking up photos I believe it was a black tailed rattlesnake. I was so spooked that I didn’t stick around to get a detailed look at it or take a pic. We turned around and retraced our steps back to the car since we didn't have a safe way to pass the snake. (Late September for time reference)

This place was super well kept and helpful! If you go inside staff is alert, and willing to help. Outside they have tons of brochures, just so you pickup maps or anything thing you have questions for. I thought it was awesome that they have a little tub of water for dogs outside.✔💧🐶 It's a simple in and out.

Sherry, Matt, Marie, and the whole team at the Prescott Chamber of Commerce are great! They run great events to network and connect with other local business leaders, they provide a ton of resources for my business, and they provide the database of local businesses to find a service I might need. Not to mention hosting the visitor center. I definitely recommend joining the Chamber if you are a local business in Prescott.

I filled out a form online to request visitor information. Since that time, I have been inundated with mail and constant phone calls and spam calls. I cannot believe the Chamber of Commerce would share my information with so many people and businesses. I only planned a visit, I don’t need to buy a home or anything else. Shame on you! I’m having to block calls

My husband, Dr. Robert Boehland and I along with our Cornerstone Family Chiropractic office have been a Prescott Chamber member for 11 years. We have gotten to know many of the employees and volunteers very well and are so grateful for the opportunity to do business in a like minded community, and with people who appreciate the small business model! We look forward to the years ahead!

Farmers Markets
If you're on the hunt for fresh, locally sourced food, look no further than the Prescott Farmers Market. This vibrant market is dedicated to supporting local agriculture and fostering a healthy community by providing access to affordable, high-quality food. Open year-round with seasonal locations—winter at the YMCA Pendelton Center and summer at Yavapai College—the market buzzes with energy every Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
First visit here was overwhelming, and I want to thank the folks who run this and the vendors for participating in the SNAP program. I came with my new SNAP benefits card, not sure what to expect. The gal at the SNAP booth was friendly and helpful. For every $1 you spend at the market on SNAP-eligible items, the Market will match that $1 towards fresh produce. Most of the vendors are kind and seem to enjoy participating in this program; others will glare at you and your tokens. Fruits and veggies galore, ethically raised meats, baked goods and sweet treats... all local and all amazing. My favorite part was definitely the variety of plants for our home garden!

Went the Farmers Market and stopped this iris farm Bloomer-Rang Iris Farm. It had beautiful iris that were pictures of them and the bloom that would happen. Lisa the owner was very nice and kindly explained how to plant and care for the Irises. Can't wait to go back and get more.

Lots of good stuff. They Beyond Dates lady not only was a personable, well instructed and considerate person, but her product was a superior example of what dates can be. If for no other reason, go so you can sample her amazing wares.

Enjoyed my first visit to the Prescott Farmer’s Market. Some farmers markets have mostly prepared foods and not enough fresh produce. That was not the case here. I found plenty of produce along with baked goods (including vegan and gluten free) goat milk soap, dates, tamales, samosas, kombucha, grass fed beef, succulents and more. My falafel from Claudine’s Kitchen was fresh and tasty, the pickled turnips added a nice crunch. My daughter enjoyed her red pork tamales and my husband was a fan of the chorizo and egg burrito. I recommend a visit here to pick up some fresh veggies, eat lunch and experience the local culture. For kids there was a stall with a play kitchen and food. It was home base for crew of kids running around the market.

A.C. Williams Granite Creek Park is a beloved community hub that offers a variety of recreational activities for both locals and visitors. The park boasts well-maintained green spaces, inviting picnic areas, and amenities such as a hiking trail, playground, horseshoe pit, and bike mounds. It also features a storybook walk around the park and a creek alongside it. Visitors can enjoy an interactive reading experience with their children or grandchildren through the Story Walk Granite Creek program offered by the Prescott Library.
Beautiful park for kids, dogs, and adults! There are two separate play structures, one for small kids and one for older kids. So fun!!!! The park has covered spaces for a family gathering and wide open spaces for sports. It’s beautifully maintained.

This park is a hidden gem! From the bike pump track to the storybook walk for kids, there's something for everyone. The towering trees, scenic creek and bridge, volleyball court, sprawling green grass, and fun jungle gym make it a perfect spot for families. Our dogs had an absolute blast, and we had a great time too. Highly recommend!
Jack M — Google review
This is one of our most favorite parks in the area. In the summer the splash pad is amazing and packed with kiddos. In the fall it’s wonderful and a nice place to relax and let my little one play. I love the theme of the park, the train play area is incredible. Really well thought out and lots of different play activities for both younger and older kiddos. Currently the city wants to pave this park, which would be an incredible loss to the community.
Courtney A — Google review
We had quite a good time having our work picnic here! Plenty of space and the weather was beautiful that day. The only thing I would suggest is getting the bathrooms on the far side of the park fixed. It’s a bit of a far walk to the bathroom and we had to take several trips because we also had lots of kids.
Danielle A — Google review
Fun place to take kids and has hiking trails. But be warned and keep yours eyes open as there can be some weirdos. Plenty of friendly people visit here regularly. Also a lot of people bring their dogs. Overall a nice park to visit and explore. You can take the trail to a splash just off Whiskey Row.
Ted ( — Google review
It looks like a nice park but.... I took a lunch to enjoy beautiful weather. Upon arriving the parking was rather full and not many people on the grounds. I parked my car and was hit with a putrid smell, it turns out the parking lot was full of homeless people living in their vehicles! I wasn't able to breathe the fresh and clean air of Prescott in a park because of un-showered homeless, very sad and depressing.
M F — Google review
The park is huge admist lush greenery. We sat on the picnic mat . The weather was perfect,we had late picnic lunches gane of Frisbee. Our year old baby enjoyed crawling. It's nice and peaceful.
Vandana E — Google review
The city needs to maintain the park better. The "sand" in the volleyball court is an injury waiting to happen. The light near the court is drowned by the overgrown tree. The horseshoe pit is trash. Absolutely zero respect put into this public park, yet your tax dollars are being taken.

Customers have enjoyed moonlight kayaking at Watson Lake and praised the professional and personable service received during their trips. The company's flexibility in accommodating last-minute rentals has also been appreciated by many customers.
Simple to reserve a kayak online! Quickly received a confirmation. My kayak, dry bag, life jacket and paddle were brought to Watson Lake north ramp by a friendly Born 2 Be Wild staff member as requested. I was helped getting my kayak in and off the lake. I've reserved kayaks on several occasions and it's always been smooth! I highly recommend B2B Wild!!

What an amazing experience! Since the moment I contacted the company I felt they were professionals in their field. I received very detailed email with instructions, asked about the weather. We rented two pedal boats. The price was fair. We went to Watson Lake. What a magnificent place for anyone who appreciates the nature. Highly recommend b2bwild for your adventures.

Everything about my experience with Born to be Wild Adventures was fantastic. We rented kayaks for two people and the staff were friendly and very informative. We took a day trip from Las Vegas and had a blast. The rental was two hours but we got to see a lot of the lake and the scenery was phenomenal. Would recommend to anyone I come across. Will be coming back on our next visit.

Unforgettable Experience! We had the BEST time renting kayaks from this company! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about making sure everyone has a great time on the water. The equipment was top notch a clean, well maintained, and super easy to use, even for beginners like us. They gave us a quick safety rundown and some awesome tips on where to paddle for the best views and calm waters. The scenery was absolutely stunning, peaceful, relaxing, and full of wildlife. We even spotted a few turtles and herons! Booking was a breeze, the prices were very reasonable, and the whole experience felt well organized and safe. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re thinking about getting out on the water, don’t hesitate this is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!
David T — Google review
The lake was beautiful (went 10/4/25) and it was a great experience on the water. The staff working were not friendly (2 young guys, maybe teenagers?), did not seem like they liked their job, and we did not get any safety rundown and they let us out into the water without life-vests. There were no dry bags like the email said there would be and what is the point of the solar lights on the back of the kayaks? They did not light well or even stand up for that matter and were out of reach if you needed it. Luckily we brought extra lanterns. I did not even realize it until I was already out in the water enjoying myself that there was no concern for safety. All I got was a “have you ever kayaked before” I said yes I got in the boat, handed a paddle and was pushed out into the water all in about 20 seconds. Just make it a priority on safety. Ask every person if they want a life-vest. I was not even thinking about it and really would’ve liked one being I am not a great swimmer, it was cool out, I had on heavy clothing and the lake has some depth, and it was dark out.
Dacia K — Google review
Great crew, awesome experience! Learned about this company through TikTok and decided to give it a try. I have my own kayak, but it’s a pain to transport 3+hours away when all you have is a Jeep without a roof rack. The price was affordable and they do all loading and unloading for you! The weather had decided to take a turn about 30 minutes before my booking and soaked all the kayaks. The team was very apologetic, but still moved the line right along and the drained the boats and helped set everyone up. Overall, everyone should give moonlight kayaking a try at least once and Watson lake is a beautiful setting.

The guys from Prescott were great. It was a very cold day for our ride (37 degrees) but the guide. Told us the best route to take. He was spot on. The Iron King trail was on of most scenic trails I’ve ever taken. We’d definitely use them again!

We rent from here every time we are in Prescott and want to go on a bike ride. They had a computer glitch that allowed us to book a time that wasn’t available (bummer) but the owner worked with us to bend his own rules to make it right when his staff was available and working. We ride the Iron King and Peavine trails with their 2 hour package and it’s a fantastic ride. The e-bike pedal assist helps up the hills. We are return customers, and will rent from them again.

I do wish, however, that the biking around Watson Lake was more around Watson Lake. The trip begins at the lake and takes the rider out in the desert. The college provides a welcoming environment for students of all ages, including veterans. With historic cottages and various public areas such as a living room, kitchen, dining area, sitting room, front porch, and back yard, the campus exudes a sense of belonging for its students.
Yavapai College offers a fantastic variety of programs with well-maintained facilities and plenty of ongoing events. The cafeteria is great, and the staff is incredibly dedicated. Over the past 13 years, I’ve both taught and taken classes there, including yoga, karate, swimming, and dance. I’ve also hosted five karate tournaments on and off campus, and every experience has been excellent. Highly recommended

I would have rated it 0 stars but the admission office is actually helpful so the school does deserve 1 star for that. I ended up not taking classes at the school because the veteran student services there was very unhelpful. I was very close to setting up my payment system for my classes but I couldn't set it up because I was missing the V.E.T. services button on my student portal. I told the Veteran Student Advisor that I couldn't find V.E.T. services on the portal, instead of giving me specific instructions on how to get to the button or instead of figuring out that it might be a technical issue they just sent me a generic document that simply told me to go to that V.E.T. button. The classes that I wanted to take are starting in 3 weeks so I was very frustrated that I couldn't move forward because they weren't helping me. I waited 2 days for them to respond to my follow up e-mail where I told them clearly that I couldn't see the V.E.T. services button and I even showed them a screenshot of all of the buttons (because there's a lot on the portal to choose from) showing that the V.E.T. services button wasn't on there. Since they didn't respond for 2 days, I gave up because the next term was coming up very quickly. I don't want to go to a school with staff that are half-assed with their help and are slow to respond. There's always other options. Thanks for nothing Veteran Student Services.

Not the best and not the worst. I had some great professors and others- not so much. The bookstore is always running out of the books/programs I need and financial aid doesn't dispurse for a few months after the semester starts, causing extra added expense. I also had several classes where the textbooks were used only a couple times throughout the semester, or we had to spend several hundred dollars just for the code to do work online. Some students don't have that much expendable cash on hand and they can certainly do more to make it easier. I did enjoy my time here overall.
Jasmine C — Google review
Wonderful school especially for veterans! The staff have a great deal of knowledge on working with the VA and have a really good understanding of what you as a student needs. I've never had any problem with the physical campus, staff or students. Lovely area too!

At 60, I thought what the heck do I think I’m doing? Reaching for for a degree at my age? My granddaughter said the same thing, can you still do that at your age? I say, Hell Yeah! I have felt welcomed since registering At Yavapai. I am accepted as a student like all the others. I’m graded like all the others. My feedback has been no different than the others. When I first stepped foot on the Yavapai College campus, I was greeted with I Belong. I just finished my first semester and I feel 100% that I Belong. I have wonderful instructors, generous feedback from other students and a amazing feeling of accomplishment! Whoo hooo I’m smart! And I can get good grades! Does it get any better?

I love Prescott. As a child we spent our summers here at our grandparents home on Grove Avenue. It hasn't changed a lot and I love that. Coming from a suburb near Minneapolis, it's so great to come and visit our roots and see a small town like Prescott Arizona, where people are friendly and nice. Where you feel like you could leave your car door unlocked while you're driving and not be dealing with a carjacking. Where you feel like you're not going to be mugged on main Street. The crime in Minneapolis is so bad that it was a breath of fresh air coming here to visit. Those of you that live here have no idea how lucky you are. ❤️🙏. Say a prayer for Minneapolis.

Amazing place to visit. I would take my whole family down here and spend the day. Lots of places to walk to and a ton of different antique stores. If you bought something at every single store, you'd have to have a wagon to carry everything you bought back to your vehicle. Super cool place. There's a nice bar here called the office. I think that's super cool. You can just tell your family or your friends that you're at the office. 🤪😁

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR RECEPTIONIST I called and POLITELY asked to speak with a manager, but the receptionist HUNG UP THE PHONE without saying a SINGLE WORD or making ANY ATTEMPT TO HELP. This was not just RUDE — it was DISRESPECTFUL and COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Her BEHAVIOR is a DISGRACE and clearly REFLECTS the POOR ATTITUDE of your establishment. If this is how you ALLOW your front desk to treat people, then it’s a SERIOUS PROBLEM that needs to be ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. SHAMEFUL. RUDE. DISRESPECTFUL. UNPROFESSIONAL.

Had the smokey burger. Ordered medium, got medium rare. Which is ok, cause most places undercook and hit the tempreture I prefer. Burger however was tasteless. Fries or the potato wedges were bland. And my Cola was watered down. I don't drink alcohol, maybe I should for here.

Went to the 3rd floor bar area and talked with Mary, she's great. Found a phone in the men's room, and found the owner of it at security looking for it. My wife won a nice jackpot.....might as well go back.

Small and cozy casino on top of the hill. Good snack food and cold beers with all the machines and table games. Great location and weather. We stopped in for a couple hours and gave them our usual amount. Maybe next time.

Really enjoyed this place love that it's at the top of a mountain so you can look down on the town. It's a smaller casino but there's a good amount of games to keep ya busy. Good security. And everyone was pretty friendly.

Don't play the fireworks slot machines. It was so disappointing and greedy. I love playing slots, I don't have to win, it's just fun when the game plays - give and take. This game in particular though, was just guzzling $20's without any payout even though the fireworks were all lit. We stayed the night here, as we rode a motorcycle to Jerome to eat & it was too late and too cold to drive all the way home. The room was $177 per night and ended up totaling $200. The bed was not comfortable sadly. We also ate breakfast in the cafe. This is where the 3 stars were gained. Even though it took about 20 minutes to get service, the food was satisfying and our waiter was so kind and pleasant. The eggs Benedict was cooked deliciously and our whole food order was served well.

Great artists in this gallery with very reasonable prices! Really liked Thunderheart handcrafted jewelry...and most everything in this gallery!!

What a wonderful shop for beautiful artwork displayed by many artists! The lady working there ( her display is just to the right of the register counter) was very friendly and eager to tell stories and background of the artists,( not all shop owners were friendly!) Thank you for making our visit to your shop memorable. We will definitely be back to visit the Arts Prescott Cooperative Gallery.

Not enough room to write everything I would like to. Heath & Cathy Krieger showed up at my door in Fountain Hills with this gorgeous Shaman from Kriegers Gallery. Heath Krieger himself is its artist. We had visited the Gallery months before and saw this piece in the window. We loved it. Our son Jared made arrangements with them for a surprise delivery on my birthday. He, my husband and the Krieger’s gave me the most wonderful surprise. Brought me to tears for sure. I can’t thank them enough for their thoughtfulness and will always remember what they did for me. We will be back for a visit.

The Lynx Lake Recreation Area has a picnic ground that is popular for visitors to enjoy a relaxing day outdoors. The site features a lake for swimming and boating, as well as surrounding trees that provide a fresh breeze of air. There are several trails in the area that can be used for biking, hiking, or running.
We had such a great time there and it was so beautiful. Also was so sad to see how low the water really is compared to the pictures people have posted 😔 prayers for them to get 🌧️

Beautiful scenery overlooking Lynx Lake. Great place for a family picnic or a romantic intimate setting. There's also a free of charge telescope to view the overall area. There's a five dollar a day entrance fee here. Free admission on Wednesdays. If you've got the time, take a walk around the Lake. Most of it is asphalt paved. You can even bring along a stroller if needed. For the more adventurous download the Prescott Circle Trail Map from the City of Prescott. It's an online map with real time GPS location so you'll know where you are at all times. Venture a little north and you'll find some pretty awesome trails to hike on. TRAVEL 😁 HAPPY

Epic Experience! Arrived 7 a.m. on a Wednesday in May with a surplus of Parking which is free on Wednesdays! Trail was paved or you can circle nearer to the lake on the dirt track, A couple areas crossing shallow water you need to watch your footing. Trail had the most courteous people I've ever had to share a park/ Lake with! VERY fulfilling couple of hours! 5🌟

Absolutely lovely area at the end of the day. Especially right before closing at 6:00. Highly recommend a quick drive over around 5:30 to see the shadows of the trees on the lake. Something magical around that time of day. Don’t believe the camp host when she tells you that “some people” have trouble coming back up the “steep hill” implying that you won’t be able to do it. She may even try to send you to the south shore “where it isn’t as steep.” The paved sidewalk on the north shore is smooth and the steepness of the hill is minimal, even wheelchair accessible. You’ll get down and back in plenty of time. Small children don’t have a problem coming back up this accessible hill. Truly, don’t believe the camp host. Her issues are her own, and she’ll say anything to skip out of work early, even if her implications are condescending and rude.

TONS OF GREAT SPOTS AND STUNNING VIEWS!🏞✔ Parking is only $5.00, you just have to fill out the form at the site and seal up your payment. The trails are extremely clean and heavily shaded🌲🌲🌲 . Water views are something worth seeing. You'll see tons of butterflies🦋, dragonflies, fish🐟, and ducks🦆. Plus tons of strips to be lakeside. Bathrooms here are the basic park bathroom, but they are well kept/clean. It's a great place to escape the city and lounge around for the day. If this was helpful, give a thumbs up! 💛👍

Again up in Prescott playing around in the snow and went out to lynx lake and it was beautiful. I really wish they hadn't closed all the roads so that you could get down to the lake, But I guess not everybody has 4 wheel drive and who knows who would try to get down there and have to be rescued. But it's still a beautiful place can't wait till it opens up so we can camp there while it's still cold. Yall have a great day out there and enjoy yourselves👋

Hiking Trails
Prescott Peavine Trailhead offers an easy 9.2-mile round-trip trail suitable for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The route follows the historical path of the Santa Fe Railroad, showcasing lush scenery including Granite Dells and Watson Lake. Camping is available in designated areas within Prescott Basin, making it ideal for a 3-day, 2-night trip. The trail provides stunning views of Willow Lake and is connected to Boulder Creek Trail.
The trails here are beautiful. Parking at the trailhead is paid parking, however, it’s free on Wednesdays. You can also rent kayaks on the other side of the lake. The Peavine Trail is flat and easy but there are other trails that are much more rocky and more difficult if you’re not ready for it. Only warning is just be cautious not to disturb any critters on the trails, as there was a rattlesnake on one of the paths, but as long as you admire them from afar and leave them alone, they’ll leave you alone!
Elayna W — Google review
This was an excellent trail to ride my e-bike. It is mostly flat and very wide so easy to navigate past hikers, other cyclists and folks on horseback. The trail takes you around the lake and there are various spots to spot and take in the beautiful views. There is a large parking lot near the start of the trail. Parking is $3 per day.
Lara — Google review
Easy, flat, wide, scenic trail that curves past the lake, up through the boulders and rock formations. About halfway along, at the outhouse, the Iron King Trail continues for a few miles before it ends in a new neighborhood in Prescott Valley. Or, you can fork to the left and continue along the Peavine. There is a tunnel under the highway on the trail just past the north parking lot that is worth checking out.

Prescott E-bike rental s Owner Tony is a class business man. It had been a few years since I had been on this trail and was missing it. Spent last Sunday doing it with my boys! It is a place to see with a Lake to hike around a trail to ride and a picnic to be anywhere among the beautiful landscape of Watson Lake ! Beautiful !

Great Trail with Beautiful views at different spots along the way. It’s good for walking, biking, your dog, etc. One thing you might want to know is that even though this is a mostly flat trail, there are a lot of rocks jutting out of the ground, so be careful, easy to trip. And if you are looking for more challenging hikes, there are several harder trails you can access off of this trail, so you could go down this trail and connect to one of the more challenging trails, climbing the boulders, etc. I didn't go to the end, not sure how far that is.... but would like to try another time. It's definitely worth your time, unless you are looking for a more challenging hike. Thankful there's a bathroom at the entrance. Plenty of parking. Admission is FREE on Wednesdays and $3 all other days.

The Granite Dells are Beautiful. Not a challenging mountain bike ride but Visually Striking. Many hike the groomed railroad path too. If you are Exercise Challenged, there's usually a guy in the parking lot renting eBikes by the hour, at reasonable rates. Parking is $3 but Free on Wednesdays.
Roqclimber — Google review
This is an easy out-and-back trail with very little elevation change. Goes as far as you want but keep in mind you've got to get back. At about 1.5 miles in there are stunning views of Watson Lake.

Prescott National Forest is a vast wilderness area with around 450 miles of trails, campgrounds and fishing spots. For those seeking an adventure, taking the AZ 89-a route through the mountains offers stunning panoramic views of pine tree-covered mountains. However, it's not recommended for those who are afraid of heights or winding mountain roads with hairpin turns. The forest is well-maintained and has plenty of lookout points and trails for visitors to explore.
I absolutely adore the drive up through this area! My fiance and I have to go up this way about once a month and it's always such a beautiful drive. Especially when the mountains are snow peaked! Didn't get such beautiful pictures this time but that's primarily because I was taking pictures of the courthouse and not the mountains and scenery LOL

If you knew to the area or just haven’t done it yet there’s also the Butte loop go out to take the main road. Keep on the main road all the way it’ll take you out copper basin Road but halfway there is the lookout down skull Valley and Yarnell area. Beautiful scenery. Wouldn’t do it in the snow go check it out takes about an hour and a half take your time site to see.

Beautiful place to visit, live, camp, hike, explore the beauty of nature it's scenery and its wildlife. I live close to downtown prescott in the park avenue area and we see deer and other wildlife daily. The animals are pretty tame for being wild we have deer that will come and eat right from our hands and let's pet them. Love living here it's beautiful.

Beautiful place for hiking, or kayaking or just for a nice afternoon lunch. The facilities are always clean and the areas are litter free. Always a great time! Addendum added 03/01/21 With the severe drought we’ve had up here in the past couple of years, the water line has receded a good 6-8 feet and although the lake is still great for kayaking, the waterfall and of course the creek has been dried up for a while. It’s still a beautiful, clean, safe place for any outdoor activities so please go and enjoy!

You probably don't need me to tell you...but I will anyway. Mountain biking around Prescott is AMAZING! The entire city is surrounded by trails. In fact there's literally a 57 mile trail that loops the entire city. There are trails for all skill level but be sure to pick up a map of the local trails and stick to the ones you think you can do. Coincidentally the $1 map you can pick up around town is the best one I've seen. If you're into apps then go with MTB project app for great details, plus it runs in airplane mode so you won't blow your battery searching for signals. Hiking and trail running these same trails is very popular. Plenty to do up there. Camping is all on a first-come basis. Most sites are easily found off the upper portion of Thumb Butte Rd. High clearance vehicles not needed but definitely a plus, the county does not maintain the roads and they are closed in the winter. For any other details, well you'll just have to check it out yourself.

Great hike, fun for all ages. Out and back. Granite mountain is awesome and it's better now that all the dead and burnt plant life has pretty much disappeared after the fire some years ago. Lots more green everywhere.

On a recent visit to Prescott, I found a jacket in Van Gogh’s Ear. For some crazy reason I didn’t purchase it immediately. I returned home and instantly regretted my decision. I phoned the store and spoke with Joanne. She is a gem! I described it, she sent me pictures, and I was able to identify the one I loved. Without her help, I would have missed out on a jacket that is not only a work of art, but reversible as well. Joanne took the time and extra effort to mail it to my home. I received it today and I’m so grateful for her help. This store is filled with beautiful, unique items, and their customer service, especially Joanne, is exemplary. Make sure you stop by Van Gogh’s Ear, you won’t be disappointed!

Prescott Center for the Arts is a charming performing arts center housed in a former church, offering an intimate setting for community productions of popular plays and musicals. The center provides opportunities for individuals of all ages to showcase their talents in theater and visual arts, with two theaters available for performances. While the seating arrangement includes tiered tables, it's recommended to secure seats in the center to avoid obstructed views due to pillars from the building's previous use as a church.

Warm in the summer so make sure to have water. Excellent spot to stop and enjoy the views, but not too many places with shade for a group to eat lunch. Difficult for little ones to maneuver, but my 5, 8, 10 yr olds had fun scrambling on the rocks.

Spent the day mountain biking the near by trails. Started on the Britni trailhead on the south side of the lake. The loop on the west side of the lake is gravel and great for walking. Dog friendly as well. Boat ramp and covered picnic areas. At the time I came the lake was very low and it actually opened up other trails to ride/hike. Tails are marked really well. Probably the best signage I've ever seen at a park. At every intersection of a trail you had a sign with your location. It would be very difficult to get lost. The Dells were some really challenging biking. A lot of double blacks which resulted hike a biking some sections, especially up hill. Incredible some people can ride those sections. When there were ridable sections it was a blast. Really cool rock formations made it interesting. Even though the map doesn't show it, you can bike into the park north of the lake to access additional hiking/biking. Be prepared for a climb since the connector trail is steep. It was fun to ride back down though.

Great park for what you want to get out of it.... Walk/hike 5 miles around the lake.. Climb or hike up the rock formations. Fish in the lake. Kayak through the lake. Simply relax and grill in the ramadas. This spot has it all. Even an RV park onsite. Not to mention if you love taking pictures the rock formations are just amazing.....

It was a nice place to see, lovely views of the water but just be careful where you step.. I almost step on duck poop, thankfully my boyfriend stopped me before I did haha but it was a beautiful veiw once to get away from that. There is also way to go to the other side to climb the small mountain. Recommend going there when an hour before sunset for you can reach the top by sunset and see the most amaing veiw with a nice color sunset.

My younger cousin and I were talking with Moses who is the manager of the beautiful performing arts center sponsored by Jim and Linda Lee. We were in Prescott for the Cowboy Poets Gathering of 2025, we asked Moses to exchange my seats for ADA seating so I could enjoy my cousin’s company for all three nights performances. Moses was great to cut the red tape and make sure we had a nice accommodation for a parking space for a walker with a chair for me beside him. Moses was very hospitable we were welcomed eagerly for all three evening events Moses took to night-herding like the cowboys that were surrounding him. On Saturday Moses was evolving into the new role wearing both a black Stetson and leather duster that were convincingly worn! Moses needed one more experience to complete his new uniform, his boots were late in their delivery. Moses had to wear his tennis shoes like the rest of us that are all hat and no cattle.

'Tis Art Center and Gallery is a non-profit art space in downtown Prescott, Arizona. It offers affordable fine art including paintings, photography, and sculpture displayed in a museum-style setting. The gallery also features locally handcrafted jewelry and wearable art. Additionally, the venue has dining options such as Storytellers Steakhouse and entertainment facilities like the Stargazer Pavilion for outdoor performances and a 20-lane bowling center.
Absolutely stunning venue. We had our wedding reception here on the third floor and it was gorgeous. Beautiful and historic, it was perfect for our wedding. The gals Mary and Gay were exceptionally helpful and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a beautiful intimate wedding. Everyone commented on the beauty of the building and it’s old time charm.

We attended a wedding reception at TIS Art Gallery last night and were really impressed! While we didn’t have much time to explore the gallery, the art we glimpsed looked fantastic. The third-floor dinner venue was charming—lovely exposed brick, beautiful large windows overlooking the courtyard, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. A perfect blend of art and architecture for a memorable evening!

There are so many artists up in Prescott that they really do need to get some more art in there. It was very sparse. I didn’t catch the gentleman‘s name that was working on 10/9 but he was fabulous. There is really not a lot to look at. Whatever you do buy there, it helps to support the local artist. I WOULD RECOMMEND

I had my wedding in the third floor ballroom and everything was great. It’s a beautiful, intimate venue! The ladies from the gallery were easy to work with.

Rented the upstairs for a baby shower that part was nice, beautiful, fit everybody that we needed. The downstairs though unfortunately the woman would listen to your conversations then but in to prove that she thought she was right. Please don't use the bathroom downstairs because she also listens to you use the restroom made me go check on my kid because she had never heard of sound that he was making before. Then as my kids could tell how frustrating it was to be in there. They tried to walk fastly out of the building and then we were yelled at for running. If there was a way straight up to the third floor it would have been perfect but going through the entrance was not amazing only stressful but also very rude. Definitely do not recommend if your party has any type of people under 45 there.

My friend has a couple of paintings in the show so I went to check it out. It was a great experience worth checking out. A lot of different media and styles. I didn't see a piece that wasn't hard to move on from to the next. Eye-catching!

Nice venue for a graduation party. Parking was difficult because of the craft fair on the square. Also, I had to walk around the floor for a bit and try to figure out who actually worked there so I could ask how to get to the event I was there for. I would have liked to have been noticed, welcomed, and asked if I needed anything.

My wife and I had our wedding here in 2021 and it was absolutely amazing! The staff was very understanding of my 98 year old grandma who was in a wheelchair and couldn't use the stairs.
