We lived at Element at Stonebridge for 3 years but chose not to renew our lease. While the location was excellent, with a grocery store next door, easy highway access, and proximity to downtown, community events and food trucks (which added a nice touch), too many ongoing issues led us to move out.
PROS
Location: Extremely convenient for commuting and daily errands.
Community efforts: Management hosted events and weekly food trucks to build a sense of community.
CONS
Unclear Fees: Monthly charges often appeared on the LOFT app without explanation or notice.
Dog Waste: This was a regular issue during most of our stay. Although management started cracking down toward the end, the effort came too late.
Noise: Poor sound insulation meant constant noise from upstairs and neighboring units, footsteps, voices, even intimate moments. Outside, loud car engines added to the disruption.
Security Issues: Car break-ins and vandalism in the parking lot were a concern. Security doors were often broken and left unrepaired for weeks.
Smoking: Marijuana odors and cigarette debris were common in hallways, patios, and common areas, despite the “drug-free” housing policy.
Parking Changes: A new parking policy required decals and offered paid spots, limiting previously ample free parking. This was one of the reasons we originally chose the complex, so it felt like a step backward.
TL;DR
GOOD: Great location and occasional community events.
BAD: dog waste, noise, surprise fees, weak security, and parking limitations.
WORD OF ADVICE
If you’re considering living here, I recommend monitoring your LOFT app closely. We were repeatedly charged for things like renters insurance, even after providing proof, without any notification. With automatic payments, it’s easy to miss these small fees until they add up. It felt predatory to us at times. Ultimately, we left because the negatives outweighed the positives. At this price point, the experience didn’t meet expectations.
